- 2:02Speaker 1: a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come
- 2:05Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show man. Yeah, it's pretty good deal. Tickle
- 2:17Speaker 1: myself sometimes I'm not saying because I show ain't see
- 2:19Speaker 1: that coming. Anyway, I'm glad it's hill. It's such a
- 2:23Speaker 1: part of my life now. I don't even know, uh
- 2:28Speaker 1: you know. I mean it's not that I don't know
- 2:30Speaker 1: what I do without I go do something else. I survived,
- 2:32Speaker 1: but I mean it's such a part of what I
- 2:34Speaker 1: do every day. That is so it's pretty good man.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I really really enjoyed what God has done for me.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I really appreciate the fact that I thank him for
- 2:45Speaker 1: allowing me and making me smart enough to accept it.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Because this whole thing, man, this whole idea behind a
- 2:53Speaker 1: better life, is totally dependent upon us. It has nothing
- 2:57Speaker 1: to do with our outside circumstances. You know, life is
- 3:01Speaker 1: ten percent. What happens is what you do about it.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I mean, let's go, life happens. Life just happens. Man.
- 3:09Speaker 1: You you lose a love one, you get some bad news,
- 3:13Speaker 1: you make a mistake, you make a bad decision. You
- 3:17Speaker 1: know this stuff is going to happen. You're going to
- 3:20Speaker 1: get but trade, You're gonna get talked about behind your back.
- 3:24Speaker 1: You know, things happen. It's it's life. You're going to
- 3:28Speaker 1: feel disappointment, You're gonna be let down. You're gonna let
- 3:32Speaker 1: yourself down. That happens. So let's just say things are
- 3:36Speaker 1: going to happen. Well, what are you gonna do about it?
- 3:40Speaker 1: See that's the that's the part that sets so many
- 3:44Speaker 1: people apart, or that will determine what the true outcome
- 3:48Speaker 1: will be. See, just because something happens, it doesn't make
- 3:51Speaker 1: it the outcome. It ends up being the result of something.
- 3:55Speaker 1: How you handle it is the result of something. Okay, example,
- 3:59Speaker 1: you lose a love one. Everybody loses loved ones. You're
- 4:04Speaker 1: not the only one, everybody everybody. So now what do
- 4:09Speaker 1: you do about it? How do you handle it? Did
- 4:11Speaker 1: you bury yourself under the grief and a lot of
- 4:14Speaker 1: grief to take over your every thought process? And then
- 4:18Speaker 1: the next thing you know, you're grieving for years and
- 4:21Speaker 1: years and years and you never let go on, You
- 4:23Speaker 1: never move on. Is that what you're gonna do? Or
- 4:27Speaker 1: do you take the grief. I'm not saying you're not
- 4:29Speaker 1: gonna be sad for a while. I don't know how
- 4:31Speaker 1: long it is for each one of us grief. We
- 4:34Speaker 1: all handle it differently, but whatever, whatever your time frame is,
- 4:38Speaker 1: at one point in time you must say, I do
- 4:41Speaker 1: see that. There's nothing I can do about that. I
- 4:44Speaker 1: accept it. And then you start creating things that help
- 4:47Speaker 1: you deal with it better. You know, my mother is
- 4:49Speaker 1: in a better place now. She don't have to suffer
- 4:52Speaker 1: no more. My mother is not any pain now, she
- 4:55Speaker 1: don't have the worries of his world on anymore. And
- 4:57Speaker 1: then you take up your crossing, your say okay, now
- 5:01Speaker 1: life goes on. Here's what I do. And then I
- 5:04Speaker 1: took the loss of my mother and turned it into
- 5:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna continue to make her proud, or I'm gonna
- 5:09Speaker 1: make car I'm gonna really give her a show now.
- 5:12Speaker 1: She upstairs, she got front row seats. I'm gonna gonna
- 5:15Speaker 1: give a real show now. And I turned it into
- 5:18Speaker 1: the motivation for trying to really really get my life
- 5:21Speaker 1: together and be something that she would be proud of.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You can handle it anywhere you want to. But life
- 5:27Speaker 1: is ten percent of what happens and nine of what
- 5:30Speaker 1: you do about it. So you flunk out of college, right,
- 5:34Speaker 1: You fail, of course, because you made some bad decisions
- 5:37Speaker 1: in your studies and all like or you never developed
- 5:40Speaker 1: good study habits. I eat me. And then you get
- 5:43Speaker 1: there and I got this letter that came one summer
- 5:47Speaker 1: that says, you know, for you not to come back
- 5:50Speaker 1: to college because you've been expelled due to grades. My
- 5:54Speaker 1: mom got the letter and she read it to me.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I didn't say nothing. I went upstairs. I started crying.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I was devastated. Man, I was gonna lose a lot
- 6:04Speaker 1: of friends that I had back at Kent Man. That
- 6:07Speaker 1: meant a lot to me. And I was devastated. But
- 6:10Speaker 1: then right after that first two or three days of
- 6:15Speaker 1: grieving about it. I said, Okay, okay, now that that
- 6:19Speaker 1: has happened, you've made those mistakes, do you? But you
- 6:22Speaker 1: bought this on yourself. Okay, Now what you're gonna do
- 6:24Speaker 1: about it? When out Fort Motor Company got me a job,
- 6:31Speaker 1: started working, started feeling something positive about myself. Okay, you
- 6:35Speaker 1: flunked out of college. Gain, I got that you made
- 6:38Speaker 1: a mistake. But now what I'm gonna do about it?
- 6:40Speaker 1: I'm gon give me a job and feel better about myself.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And I started earning money, I started feeling my way through.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I started feeling better. Life is tempered, said, what happens
- 6:48Speaker 1: to you, But it's nine of what you do about it.
- 6:52Speaker 1: So now the question steal burns and all of us,
- 6:56Speaker 1: what you're gonna do about it? It's what you do
- 6:59Speaker 1: about it that determines the outcome. See, sometimes things happen
- 7:03Speaker 1: to us are just catalysts. They're just things that there.
- 7:07Speaker 1: They're pilot lights, their igniters, their ignitions, their trigger points.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Something's happened to us to trigger something in us. You know,
- 7:16Speaker 1: some bad news, a startling, uh, revelation, a anything happens.
- 7:24Speaker 1: They're they're like starters. They get your attention it's a
- 7:28Speaker 1: turning point, it's a breakthrough. It's so I open up,
- 7:33Speaker 1: the lightbulb comes on. However, you need to fix it
- 7:36Speaker 1: in your mind. But things happen with that intent if
- 7:40Speaker 1: you look at it the right way. Okay, here's the
- 7:43Speaker 1: next part of what I want to tell you. You know,
- 7:46Speaker 1: we've been talking about the law of attraction for a
- 7:47Speaker 1: few days now, if you've been listening, but if you haven't,
- 7:50Speaker 1: it's okay. The Law of attraction is a book out
- 7:53Speaker 1: called The Secret. I recommended reading for everybody that some
- 7:56Speaker 1: parts in the you may not be able to grasp,
- 7:57Speaker 1: But it don't make it not true, you know. Uh,
- 8:01Speaker 1: you know. I look for anything and if it has
- 8:03Speaker 1: Biblical references in it, and it's based off scriptures and
- 8:07Speaker 1: and in in writings, holy spiritual writings, then and it
- 8:11Speaker 1: has a good intent. Most self help books are based
- 8:14Speaker 1: on everything that comes from the Bible and the holy
- 8:17Speaker 1: writings from scholars and profits and things like that. Anyway,
- 8:21Speaker 1: ain't no, no, there's no new news. There's no new news.
- 8:26Speaker 1: You know. A man is as they think that's the
- 8:29Speaker 1: law of attraction, you know, but they admit that when
- 8:33Speaker 1: when they wrote the book The Secret. So I've been
- 8:34Speaker 1: talking to you about the law of attraction, how it works.
- 8:38Speaker 1: You know, your feelings, what you're feeling that day is
- 8:42Speaker 1: a signal from the universe to let you know the
- 8:45Speaker 1: thoughts that you're transmitting. If you if you're feeling bad
- 8:48Speaker 1: right now, if you're feeling bad, like okay, I get
- 8:54Speaker 1: I get an emails all the time to say, man,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I was having a rough morning, Steve, and then I
- 8:59Speaker 1: heard your morning inspiration and I felt better. Well, so
- 9:02Speaker 1: do I. And it's because the way you're feeling is
- 9:07Speaker 1: is the universe feeding back to you what you're thinking
- 9:11Speaker 1: and if when whenever you're feeling bad, if you just
- 9:14Speaker 1: stop and go over your thoughts, your thoughts have been
- 9:18Speaker 1: some negative thoughts, so you feel negatively. If you feel
- 9:23Speaker 1: good today, if you've been feeling good since you woke up,
- 9:26Speaker 1: if you think about your thoughts, your thoughts have been
- 9:29Speaker 1: good that day. Your feelings is the thermometer, the barometer,
- 9:36Speaker 1: the measuring stick for what you're thinking. So if you
- 9:40Speaker 1: want to change how you're feeling, you have to change
- 9:43Speaker 1: the way you're thinking. Does that make sense to you,
- 9:47Speaker 1: because it's the absolute truth. Because it all goes back
- 9:52Speaker 1: to one scripture very small, but probably one of the
- 9:56Speaker 1: most powerful in there. A man is as he's thinking.
- 10:01Speaker 1: If you think good thoughts, you're going to feel good.
- 10:07Speaker 1: If you think of ways to be a good person,
- 10:11Speaker 1: you're going to be a good person. If you think
- 10:15Speaker 1: bad thoughts, you're going to start feeling bad. If you
- 10:21Speaker 1: think about being a bad person, how can I rob crook,
- 10:25Speaker 1: break in, stab, still, hold up sale, gang bang? Guess what?
- 10:32Speaker 1: You become a bad person. I'm telling you, man, this
- 10:36Speaker 1: thing is very doable. I want you all all grab
- 10:38Speaker 1: a copy. It's it's all biblical. But if if if
- 10:41Speaker 1: you're having a tough time reading it, just just grab
- 10:44Speaker 1: a copy of the book called The Secrets. It will
- 10:46Speaker 1: really really help you out. And I'll start to re read,
- 10:48Speaker 1: rereading it for the third time. That's what's causing me
- 10:51Speaker 1: to have some of these different messages this morning. So
- 10:54Speaker 1: I hope you understand. Love you for real. You're listening
- 10:57Speaker 1: to show. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to the Steve Harvey
- 11:03Speaker 1: Morning Show. Welcome to the Ride, y'oab this is a

- 11:22Speaker 1: my gosh, but to really, I'm just at a loss
- 11:27Speaker 1: for world. You show is really dedicated to bull it.
- 11:36Speaker 1: If that's somebody you know, there's always bull all this
- 11:45Speaker 1: is for bull everybody. No, this is for every bull
- 11:52Speaker 1: it you know in your family. Every family got one
- 11:58Speaker 1: talking about man you have. I mean, you got these
- 12:01Speaker 1: friends of yours and you know, Man, this just just
- 12:04Speaker 1: really ain't going nowhere. Oh Man, Steve Man, Man, Man,

- 13:07Speaker 1: It's crazy. I ran up in man, must be God.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Now we both was just hungry in the restaurant. No

- 13:28Speaker 1: What about this crew? Do everybody? Hell? How many items
- 13:32Speaker 1: do y'all have at home that they said? Get this

- 13:38Speaker 1: me to the trash, You to me right in the
- 13:43Speaker 1: tras what some of the albums you're supposed to be
- 13:46Speaker 1: to heard about? God? No, no, no, if Steve played us? Right?
- 13:51Speaker 1: Yeah boy? Oh yeah, right, yeah, I have been given
- 13:56Speaker 1: So I've been given a pool Tell you I ain't
- 13:58Speaker 1: got no holes in it to go down me and
- 14:03Speaker 1: you own me and you all can talk about it.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I'll explain. I said, that's pool table thing, a pool
- 14:11Speaker 1: table with Come okay, and I'll explain why there are
- 14:19Speaker 1: no holes. Can tell you that and you can get

- 14:41Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show. All right, it's time for something funny.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Let's go to Junior with his Truth be Told. Oh
- 14:48Speaker 1: I hope it's another poem. No, no, surely it's not.
- 14:51Speaker 1: It's rumping toes. I did something. I did do this though,
- 14:56Speaker 1: that's we you know last week got to we will
- 14:58Speaker 1: talk about, you know, being So I went called my
- 15:02Speaker 1: family up and just took a pole. I just want
- 15:05Speaker 1: to know what they really thought. I called a coup
- 15:09Speaker 1: and came back up. Not all right, you know you possible.
- 15:16Speaker 1: But what really hurt my feelings was how fast sad?
- 15:22Speaker 1: But I just I just discovered after they called me ugly,
- 15:26Speaker 1: compliments started coming in. You know you're hard working though
- 15:30Speaker 1: you know, you know, you know your spirit good, you know,
- 15:34Speaker 1: you know, I mean, it was all this stuff can
- 15:36Speaker 1: come back. So I discovered, and truth be told, when
- 15:38Speaker 1: you ugly, people really love you for who you are.
- 15:43Speaker 1: They really love you, you know, I mean, they just
- 15:46Speaker 1: capt coming back. They're like, yeah, yeah, you ugly. Listen.

- 15:56Speaker 1: had never heard this. My great aunt said, yeah, boy,
- 16:00Speaker 1: but you call from good stock. I ain't never heard
- 16:07Speaker 1: what that you come from good stock means? Who told
- 16:11Speaker 1: you that? Your grandma? My grandmother said, what that means
- 16:14Speaker 1: is your grandfather's grandfather got sold for a lot. Why
- 16:28Speaker 1: but when you really don't feel bad, people really do
- 16:31Speaker 1: love when they say one or two friends I have
- 16:34Speaker 1: ain't with me because I look. Yeah, they just like
- 16:36Speaker 1: you because they know they know, And I know I
- 16:39Speaker 1: look in the mirror. Every time I look in the mirror,
- 16:42Speaker 1: I know they no doubt, no doubt. You know, I
- 16:45Speaker 1: thought maybe somebody and found me king an. My mother
- 16:51Speaker 1: told me a long time ago, you're not gonna be
- 16:54Speaker 1: an attractive man because you just don't have a good
- 16:58Speaker 1: look at me. So always babe yourself and wear nice
- 17:02Speaker 1: clothes that work. Get them girls something else look at right,
- 17:08Speaker 1: you're nothing to walk in the room. And if the

- 17:24Speaker 1: to participate because Tommy is the one boy I just shot.
- 17:33Speaker 1: So how would you just Okay, did you ever think
- 17:36Speaker 1: about if you were cute? I mean, I'm not saying
- 17:38Speaker 1: you're not. No, I ain't never thought about it. You know,
- 17:41Speaker 1: were just a dude? You just you know, Yeah, my
- 17:44Speaker 1: life be a whole lot different like if I just
- 17:47Speaker 1: light skinning to have a different lang, really lighter like like, oh,
- 17:55Speaker 1: I don't think I be. I could not have Ela.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I couldn't have that. What what? Why? What would you do?
- 18:03Speaker 1: You always be your hand in it? You see the ball.
- 18:06Speaker 1: You can't have no hell like that, nobody in it.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I got a cold, you boy, you cut your fingt
- 18:11Speaker 1: wide over people. Man still braid my head. Dog, I
- 18:15Speaker 1: don't wouldn't be him. I just don't want to handle
- 18:17Speaker 1: kill way because I always like who like me? Like

- 18:37Speaker 1: ask me. You can't push up on you gotta let
- 18:40Speaker 1: them invite you in, like friend Sam. They gotta walk
- 18:44Speaker 1: up to you. You gotta do like this, how y'all doing? Yeah,
- 18:51Speaker 1: shout it out what you say then you're moving that. No,
- 18:57Speaker 1: that's why you have a loved voice holding. I don't

- 26:50Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, y'all. As soon as I

- 28:23Speaker 1: who I am. Yeah, tell me who you are? Telling you,
- 28:25Speaker 1: I am nephew telling from the Steve Harbin Morning Show.
- 28:29Speaker 1: You just got prank by your boy boxy uh, I'm
- 28:37Speaker 1: I'm yeah you y'all, y'all, y'all each other. Man, Man,
- 28:47Speaker 1: I'm nesting you. Love you, ma'a. I'm sorry man you
- 28:51Speaker 1: if you was fired up? A sorry says hot out here. Anyway,
- 28:56Speaker 1: we don't care. We're gonna we can take it. Man
- 29:00Speaker 1: ya ya ya sunday. Man, that's what we do. Everybody
- 29:03Speaker 1: pitching in and we all get together. Man, it's a
- 29:06Speaker 1: it's a family thing. Oh man, you good man. You
- 29:10Speaker 1: could let me ask you what's the fattest radio show
- 29:13Speaker 1: in the land, man, the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Brother,
- 29:16Speaker 1: I think I might tellgate at least a couple of
- 29:18Speaker 1: times this year. What yall think you'll get out there? Yea?
- 29:22Speaker 1: And people go to the game. Two different groups were
- 29:27Speaker 1: not but the tailgators getting their fights out here. They
- 29:30Speaker 1: do a lot of he go up against some park competition,
- 29:44Speaker 1: decent looking people that but you know what section you
- 29:50Speaker 1: got the party you've been that park over the end
- 29:54Speaker 1: a good looking so they got an ugly tailgate right
- 29:58Speaker 1: over there with all other las let people got their
- 30:03Speaker 1: biggest set called they need a lot of smoke around.
- 30:09Speaker 1: So they're standing back then, people are you looking at ignorant?
- 30:14Speaker 1: So if you go to the tailgate, you already know
- 30:17Speaker 1: to just take yourself over to the ugly six. That's
- 30:19Speaker 1: why I'm going right on over there. That's why. But
- 30:22Speaker 1: your situation is different, Steve, because you're rich. So is
- 30:26Speaker 1: there a rich ugly six? Not at all. Yes, they're fine,
- 30:32Speaker 1: but whatever, go right, alright, coming up, Miss Anna's gonna
- 30:39Speaker 1: be here with their national news. We'll be back. You're
- 30:42Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Miss Anna's on
- 30:46Speaker 1: deck with today's headlines. But first this is according to
- 30:50Speaker 1: Newsweek Now, a congressman from Tennessee thinks the president should
- 30:54Speaker 1: be impeached. He's not alone. Representative Steve Cohen, a ranking
- 30:59Speaker 1: member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and
- 31:02Speaker 1: Civil Justice, issued a statement that he plans to start
- 31:06Speaker 1: the impeachment process against Trump for his controversial reaction to
- 31:10Speaker 1: the Charlottesville violence. Cohen said in a statement, Yeah, I
- 31:14Speaker 1: believe the president should be impeached and removed from office
- 31:18Speaker 1: instead of unequivocally uh condemning hateful actions by neo Nazis,
- 31:23Speaker 1: white nationalists, and klansmen. Following a national tragedy, the President
- 31:28Speaker 1: said there were very fine people on both sides. He
- 31:32Speaker 1: sure said it. There are no good Nazis, there are
- 31:35Speaker 1: no good clansman. Cohen added, President Trump has failed the
- 31:39Speaker 1: presidential test of moral leadership. No moral president would ever
- 31:44Speaker 1: shy away from outright condemning hate, intolerance, and bigotry. No
- 31:50Speaker 1: moral president would ever question the values of Americans protesting
- 31:54Speaker 1: in opposition of such actions, one of whom was murdered
- 31:59Speaker 1: by one of the white nationalists. Wow, that's not gonna happen. Though,
- 32:04Speaker 1: they're not gonna impeach him. The Republicans are not gonna
- 32:06Speaker 1: get to get home and impeach because you need because
- 32:12Speaker 1: the cause of the game, the political game, it's not
- 32:15Speaker 1: gonna happen. It would damage the Republicans go along with
- 32:18Speaker 1: the impeachment. It would damage the Republican Party. And that's
- 32:22Speaker 1: how they're gonna look at it. They're gonna stay on
- 32:24Speaker 1: the bipartisan thing. You know. I don't. I don't think
- 32:28Speaker 1: they can make it happen. But if he continues, because
- 32:31Speaker 1: he's gonna do something else. Yeah, every day it's something gone.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Trump gout is gonna get him. Don't take him out.
- 32:44Speaker 1: People with money don't get he got gout of diabetes,
- 32:47Speaker 1: a high blood pressure, he might get all that. Yeah,
- 32:49Speaker 1: gout don't get people perfectly healthy. Yet, now that he
- 32:57Speaker 1: didn't show his record, he don't. I think with all
- 33:01Speaker 1: these incidents, I'm starting to think that he actually know
- 33:04Speaker 1: what he did. This seems almost calculating. It's like it's
- 33:09Speaker 1: it's pretty close to the stupidest thing you've ever said.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying. It's like, it's so ridiculous.
- 33:15Speaker 1: It's like this many incidents. Yeah, don't when are you
- 33:20Speaker 1: gonna Stah, he did it for a reason. He did
- 33:28Speaker 1: what came out and undonounced. Oh the hate, you know,
- 33:35Speaker 1: when he came out and said you mentioned their names.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Then he came back and retracted. He did it for
- 33:40Speaker 1: a reason. We just don't know what the reason is.
- 33:43Speaker 1: But it's some illogical craziness man, And it's all because
- 33:48Speaker 1: he just doesn't have any any skills to be president.
- 33:54Speaker 1: You know, he's, you know, probably a good businessman, probably
- 33:58Speaker 1: could do something for the country business wise. He just
- 34:01Speaker 1: can't run it. He can't run America. No experience comes
- 34:06Speaker 1: one of his companies. Right, you have to beat You
- 34:09Speaker 1: have to understand even if you were thinking what he's said,
- 34:14Speaker 1: you wouldn't. You know, you can't say that to the
- 34:17Speaker 1: American public. You can't say it to the country. I mean,
- 34:20Speaker 1: so I agree with Senator Cohen, a Congressman Cohen on
- 34:24Speaker 1: his you know, there's no moral leadership because Obama was
- 34:28Speaker 1: doing it. It looked easy from where he was sitting,
- 34:31Speaker 1: and he can do it. Yeah, he liked the guy
- 34:32Speaker 1: in the club. But oh I can do that. And
- 34:34Speaker 1: you won't bring your but up there and you give
- 34:36Speaker 1: him the mic and nothing. Yeah, you have to answer
- 34:39Speaker 1: to the people. Yeah, yeah, all right, Um, we we
- 34:44Speaker 1: gotta switch to miss and Steve. Go ahead, ladies and gentlemen.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Miss and to everybody. This is and trip with the
- 34:52Speaker 1: news everybody, and good morning. Well. President Trump was on
- 34:55Speaker 1: TV last night, that's right, not on Twitter. He pulled
- 34:57Speaker 1: away from that, announcing his plans for a way forward
- 35:00Speaker 1: in Afghanistan and South Asia. It was a televised address
- 35:04Speaker 1: to the nation and although he was a little low
- 35:06Speaker 1: on specifics, he did announce a serious goal change. We
- 35:09Speaker 1: are not nation building again. We are killing terrorists. That's
- 35:15Speaker 1: what they're going after Isis, the Taliban and things like that.
- 35:18Speaker 1: The U S. Commander in Afghanistan, by the way, appraising
- 35:21Speaker 1: the launch of the Afghan Army's new Special Ops Corps,
- 35:24Speaker 1: General John Nicholson, says, quote the U. S is with
- 35:26Speaker 1: you and will stay with you. The Navy says the
- 35:29Speaker 1: plans to conduct an investigation to the collision between a
- 35:32Speaker 1: Navy ship and an oil tanker that has left ten
- 35:34Speaker 1: sale is missing, several others injured. The accident involved the
- 35:38Speaker 1: U S s John McCain. It occurred near Singapore. This
- 35:41Speaker 1: was the second, by the way, accident like this in
- 35:43Speaker 1: as many months, involving a U S. Warship and a
- 35:45Speaker 1: civilian vessel, and the fourth one this year. At least
- 35:49Speaker 1: twenty charities have now canceled their planned fundraisers at Trump's
- 35:52Speaker 1: Palm Beach country club, Mara Lago, with many organizations citing
- 35:56Speaker 1: the controversy surround the president's recent comments about Charlotte's Fille.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Several nonprofits several ties with Mara Lago after Donald Trump
- 36:04Speaker 1: was inaugurated, but since it's saying that both sides were
- 36:07Speaker 1: to blame in Charlottesville and that they will find people
- 36:09Speaker 1: on both sides all but a handful of charities with
- 36:12Speaker 1: fundraisers schedule to take place in Trump's club are still
- 36:15Speaker 1: going to hold them there, and most of them say
- 36:17Speaker 1: I don't think so. By the way, some former students
- 36:19Speaker 1: at the Evangelical College founded by the late Jerry Folwell
- 36:23Speaker 1: turning their college degrees in September five because of Trump's
- 36:27Speaker 1: comments about Charlottesville. According to the letter obtained by NPR,
- 36:31Speaker 1: the group says they take issue with Jerry Folwell Junior
- 36:33Speaker 1: support of the President's assertion that quotes some fine people
- 36:36Speaker 1: were protesting on both sides, which would include the white nationalists,
- 36:40Speaker 1: and the letter states that position is incomparable, concomparable with
- 36:44Speaker 1: a liberty university, stated values, income, incompatible with that of
- 36:48Speaker 1: Christian witnesses. This is what went on yesterday. God so cool,
- 36:56Speaker 1: That's amazing. These are the kind of comments heard all
- 37:02Speaker 1: over the country yesterday as Americans watched the moon crossed
- 37:05Speaker 1: the vista of the Sun during what was a total
- 37:07Speaker 1: solar eclipse, the first one visible in the US in
- 37:10Speaker 1: thirty eight years. That's where thirty eight years. Large crowds
- 37:14Speaker 1: we've showed up in cities across the country, even in
- 37:16Speaker 1: New York here as well and today is National Eta
- 37:19Speaker 1: Peach Day, National peakn Tour Day, and National Tooth Fairy Day.
- 37:26Speaker 1: I need a truth. I could got some money. Anyway,
- 37:29Speaker 1: this has been a trip. We'll be back with Eugene
- 37:31Speaker 1: the Butterfly twenty minutes after the hour on the Steve
- 37:33Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:38Speaker 1: All right, coming up at thirty four after the hour,
- 37:40Speaker 1: it's comedy Roulette with Steve j Jr. And Tommy. But
- 37:44Speaker 1: first let's go to the Butterfly. But Butterfly, Butterfly. It
- 37:52Speaker 1: is time for but fly. You never know what he's
- 37:55Speaker 1: gonna do. And thank you Brown, Thank you, thank you.
- 37:58Speaker 1: You always introduced me so well. So good morning to
- 38:01Speaker 1: you all. Steven, Tommy, Shirley, Carl Jr. And j Brown.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Good morning. This is a special day for me. I
- 38:11Speaker 1: want you out to really really pray for me today.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I'm doing something so outstanding. I'm stepping out doing something different.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I said, I'm stepping out of the different. Today is
- 38:22Speaker 1: my first day of my flag football team, the flag
- 38:28Speaker 1: Football Yeah. So we are the Flamingos and you're doing
- 38:33Speaker 1: it again this year playing flag football. And this is
- 38:36Speaker 1: gonna be good. Well, wait up with the Flamingo Steven.
- 38:41Speaker 1: We have the little pink flags in the South, you
- 38:42Speaker 1: pull the plague. But anyway, this is gonna be good.
- 38:45Speaker 1: They have they they think that I'm possible to be
- 38:47Speaker 1: the quarterback on the team. I can throw the bill.
- 38:53Speaker 1: They got me playing the quarter back. So you know,
- 38:55Speaker 1: I get up under the center and get the bill
- 38:57Speaker 1: and then I you know, I dropped back and um

- 1:00:10Speaker 1: the way. Now, four days later, I get a call
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: of his ex Monica. So I answered the phone, like,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: who is she? Like? Who is she talking about? Something? Oh?
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Is Michael there? I said? Who is this? She hung up?
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: So I went to him and asked who it was,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: and he said his step mom from Opelaka, Miami. But
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: it's crazy. I heard about her. I heard about her,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and now it has to be true. Now everyone in
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: my family think I'm dumb. How do I, baby? How
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: do I let them know he ain't cheating? Okay? What
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: what did you just say? All right? I do, Stephen Shirley?
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: What should I do? Well? I mean you asked for advice,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: but my question to you is will you really listen
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: to it? I mean, you seem to have your own
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: ideas about marriage. Who told you that people don't cheat
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: when they're married. I mean, of course you're not supposed to.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: That's the ideal situation, and cheating is only for people
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: when you're unmarried. I mean, where do you get these
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: ideas from um about marriage? I don't understand your husband lying,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: just out and outlying. UM. And you confused me when
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: you said you go with this boy, and now you're
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: sitting and you went on a date, and now you're
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: saying you got married last year. It's a confusing letter. UM.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I don't know. I really don't know what to tell
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: you right now. I'm confused myself. Steve helped me with
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: this one. Please help. She's crazy. The end of the
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: letter usually explains it what you're gonna say. I don't
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: want to be now. Everyone in my family think I'm dumb.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: Well we do too. I didn't want to say that. Me,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: Shirley and everybody that heard this letter, we feel just
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: like your family. And if and if I could show
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: people this letter, if you could just go online, and
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: it was written basically like, there ain't a capital letter
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: in this letter, no damn where except the word dear,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: dear Steve, and then after that, ain't no more capital letters.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Ain'tybody naming capital the punctuations is crazy. Miami is not
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: in capital. It ain't in capital letters. Everyone in my
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: family think I'm dumb? Think t H I n K,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I'm dumb? What about this ex Monica? Her name is.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: We're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up in
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: about twenty minutes. Junior has another poem. He's in the
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: building putting his head down. All right, come on, Steve,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Part two of your response to today's strawberry letter. Um
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: this letter crazy, this girl, she got so many problems
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: in this letter. First of all, just let me go
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: down the list of things that's wrong. Number one, you
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: married a boy. Number two, y'all need to move out
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: of your mama's house because I thought you was dating
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: a boy, but you explained it so crazy. Now y'all married,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: You need to get out your mama house if you
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: are married. Number three, I think your penmanship requires that
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: you go back to school at least get a G
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: E D. Your fourth problem is all your clothes can
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: fit into one washing machine. That's disturbing clothes right now
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: because all the all y'all clothes got bleached on him
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: all of yours and he is then fit into this
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: washing machine. That's the other problem. Then you get a
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: call from his ex. You say, I get a first
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: let me read how the letter read. I can't. I
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: can't even start that because some more crazy man. My
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: he loves me, but my family don't see that. Oh
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: I got a daughter and a step daughter to just
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: to put that out the way. Nah, four days later,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: where does this come from? But where did where did
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: the children come from? She just get this out, did
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: you say? And now four days later I get a
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: call of his ex Monica. Ain't none of this capitalize?
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: So Monica is like a salad or something. I get
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: a call from his ex Monica. So I answered the phone, like,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: who is she talking about? Something? Oh? Is Mica there?
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: I said, who is this? She hung up? Okay, his
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: ex call named Monica. You go to him and you
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: asked him about it. He say, it's his step mama
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: from open locker. Miammy. You need to pick your stupid
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: behind a map up and just see where that is located,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: because that's out. What is open locker miammy? Miammy is
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: in Florida already. Now, let's just the name of a
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: housing project. I really think he didn't throw you for
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: a loop. But back to the whole crux of the letter.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Everyone in my family think I'm dumb. I really don't
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: see how didn't come to any other conclusion, baby, because
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: right now, damn it, I'm with the family you need.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Just didn't want to say that. No, no, you need
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: a divorce. You need somebody take them kids's man, give
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: your kids your mom and um, you and that boy
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: go somewhere and started will buy y'all damn self Hill, Alright,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: as usual, we gotta get out of here. Email or Instagram.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: That's your thoughts on today's Strawberry letter at my girls, surely,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: and please don't forget this Thursday Strawberry Letter. After the
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: show on Facebook Live at one thirty one joined me there, Yeah,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: you can see you. It's gonna be fun, alright. Switching gears.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: You're never going to retire. You're never going to retire.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Here's a stat that will make you stay, that'll make
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: you say, what the what what the what the what
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: what the what? Fidelity Fidelity Investments has just issued a
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: report that tells you what you need to do if
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: you want to retire by sixty seven. By the age
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: of thirty five, you should have doubled your salary, put
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: away and invested. To add insult to injury, they say
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: that by the age of forty, you should have triple
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: your salary. How's that working out for you, Steve. I'm
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: not looking at you, and I'm not fucking to you.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: All right, listen, by the age of thirty five, you
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: should have you should have doubled your salary, put away
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: and invested. Okay, all right, okay, well then we're doing
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: all right? Then, all right. To add insult to injury,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: they say that by the age of forty you should
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: have triple your salary. I did that. Yeah, at was low.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Tripling my salary. What if I could have thirty thousand?
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: You have making thirty US at thirty years old. In
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: the world I had thirty, I would oh no, oh god,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: oh no. I was not making thirty when I was thirty.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Oh no, I wasn't even close, man, wouldn't I wasn't
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: even close to thirty seven. I'd say seven. I probably seven. Well,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: this says whatever you make, you should have you should
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: you should have double your salary, put away and invested
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: by thirty five whatever your salary is, double that, put
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: it away and invested. We got the keyboard. Yeah, I
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: got a little bit now, but a little bit. Yeah.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: And then by the age of forty, you should have
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: triple your salary put away and invested. Yes, triple and
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: got it all saved up and will then be none
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: when I leave it that whatever the favorite, So it's
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: gonna be sad and the reading of the wheel, trust me,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: it's gonna be some long. And you're not gonna store
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: up for your children? Why would I do to get
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: what about your favorite? Though? Not the favorite might get
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: something for the other nine. I wouldn't even show up
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: your name, put your clothes off. You ain't gonna be calm. Damn.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: He really didn't leave. Listen what you would have a
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: video left form so it'd be great? Yeah? Great, Yeah,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: it's you you, you, you, and you can you and
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: you can take your ass home. But the favorite gets
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: to stay. What about you, Steve? I know you were
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: you were working on, uh, saving for your grandchildren. Oh yeah,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: that's what that's what it's about with me. Right now,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: I got four. They great. I'm really working for them
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: and their children. That's what I want. I want I
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: want my grandchildren's children to know my name. Wow, great grandchild.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: I want to I want to establish not worked out yet,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: but I want to establish it where when they reach
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: a certain age, they get a certain amount of money,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: they'll know my name, dirty B. That's what they all. Right,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: the moment, the MoMA we've all been waiting for, when
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: we come back, Junior's poetry time. All right, we'll be back.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, ladies
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: and gentlemen, it is that time. Junior. You're ready? Absolutely?
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Is everybody ready? Yes, I'm a rough room coming in.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: It's time for Junior. Let's go. Let I love your poems.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Thank you. Ja. Let me just tell y'all something here.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: I was, I'm doing something different this week because I'm
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: growing as an artist. And so I saw something black.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I saw definitely traumatic go on, and it changed my
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: thought process. I saw some coffee waste and Starbucks and
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: it decided pushed me actually into writing limericks. So you're
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: not doing poems, No, No, this is limericks. Hit me said,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: I need to be doing limits and yeah, and for
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: those out that they don't know what limerick is. A Limerick.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: It's just a short story about an individual, just real quick.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Three weeks so I changed over limericks and I just
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: found like the growth, thank you, thank you, And so
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: I just wrote some limericks about sure to you, Jay,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Tommy and Carla. Yeah, I just because I know y'all,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: and he's a Limerick. Let me start with Tommy. Let
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: me go about Tommy. There once was a man named
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Tommy who walked around in nice silk. Put Jammy. He
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: was quick to get mad and then turned back glad. Oh,
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Tommy is like a souona. I love it. Okay, that's
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: the truth. And I like to do one about my
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: good friend j Anthony Brown. Grown to know Jay. Working
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: with Jay on a daily basis, I've grown to know
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: him and this is what I found out. Okay. There
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: once was a man named Jake who had diabetes that
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: would not go away. He could not eat sweets, but
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: he might lose his seats. But Steve, this one by
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Carlo just that I do this one like that. I
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: love my faith. There once was a lady named Carla
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: on the Steve Show. She is the baller. She keeps
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: us so straight and well up to date. Calor sometimes
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: like hollo, I know everybody's been waiting on this, and
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: this is what I've been waiting to do on Shirley. Oh, Shirley,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: and I love you see this, I really do. You
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: probably will pick the cross. But there once was a
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: lady named Shirley. She is real boogie and girl. She
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: keeps Steve real straight and she loves her mate. But Shirley,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: don't come into early those are again. There's what was
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: a man named Timmy who walked around and silk pajami.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: He was quick to get mad and did turn back.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Lad Oh Timmy, like, we don't know what we're gonna wha,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: that's just it. Uh, you know we're gonna go from
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Junior's limits that were that were very good to Steve with.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Explain your segments, Steve, these this and I'm gonna do
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: is you know things that that's code for are things
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: people say and you got to know how to read
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: what they're saying because it's really a code. You know,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: they say one thing, but what it really means. So
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna call this this segment is called colde cracking.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Yeah you've always been a crack Yeah alright, So Sureley,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: could you do me a favorite? Yes, do you have
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: one of these? I do? Uh, you say the first
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: line and you crack crack, okay, like if the person
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: says I'm in between jobs work especially No, I don't know.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Here's another one, Steve, I don't really watch TV that.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: You don't watch football, you watch power all right? I
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: know about this one. When you hear a lady say
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: this is my favorite person. Been there she got that one?
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Lover is my favorite favorite? About this one, Steve, we've
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: decided to see other people? Yeah, yeah, he just walked
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: out on walked right out. He he's been seeing you
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: just got the memory talk about So we decided he'd
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: been seeing somebody else. Okay, here goes one. I don't
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: really like a lot of company. They stay with MoMA.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: You know. I just tried to take as quick as
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: I can. Okay, Um, yeah, I like to take walks,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: you know, because when you take walks, you get to
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: see him. Ain't got no damn call. How do you
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: like to walk downtown to hell? Likes to walk down? Okay?
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: How about this one? Uh, they're tripping down at my job.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: They're tripping down at my job. You got fired? All right?
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: You want to Okay, we gotta go. That was good though, Steve,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: it was really good. That was great, like walking down
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: you know what it took off that. Okay, we'll be back.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: you are the resident relationship expert on the show, no question. Uh.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: And you know there are some folks involved in a
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: friends with benefits situation. You know a lot of people
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: you know in those kind of relationships. But there are boundaries,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: of course, as in any relationship, you should still be
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: honest and not take the situation for granted. Though a
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: few mishaps could lend you back in the friendship zone
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: with a quickness, of course, and even if the arrangement
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: is super casual, then Tommy becomes the expert, you know. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: keep So here we go, not being honest about your intentions,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: not being honest about not being honest about your intention Yeah.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: So it's Carla, how does this work? So Steve answers
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: and Tommy comes back. Is that how? Yeah? Because Steve
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: is always saying that you can't have friends alright, So
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: someone is lying or not being honest about their intentions, Well,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: you know, it's bad news. For you because you know, uh, look,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: eventually all all everything comes to light, you might as
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: well if you're just gonna be friends benefit just being honest. Okay, money,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: here's the money. Let me hit this. I'm look I
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: don't love you. Oh my gosh, I'm just being real
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: about what we're doing and what we're doing. We're both
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: cool with that. I'm honest by my intentions were gonna
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: do this until we don't want to do this no more.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: This ain't abouy no love. Matter of fact, we're doing
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: it from We can't even make eye contact because this
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: ain't love at all. Don't don't gaze at me, look
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: at me, you look at me, or you look back
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: at me. Don't look back at me. When we're in
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: the moment, look forward, don't look back, don't look back.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: That's that's in the moment. You don't do that. That's
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: just being honest. That's brutally do it. You have to
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: do it. Acting jealous not allowed. Uh. You know, it's
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: a little tough man when you have an arrangement and
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: you know it's just friends for benefits, because the other
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: person could have somebody and so being jealous is just
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: h You post being able to play a little bit better.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: It ain't your turn when I showed up with my wife?
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: What is your lipout? That is wrong with you today?
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: What is wrong with you? And why is you texting me?
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: You'll see him over here, but he talked about this.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: If you walk past me and my wife, what you're
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: gonna get your lip back? Your repaid for? What? Did
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: you got your mom? Boy? Here? Why? Okay, here's another one. Guys,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: assuming yes is forever instead of yes for now, play
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: your position. Well. You know, if if you agreed to
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: be with somebody for a period of time and you
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: know that's all it is, and that's all it is,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: you really can't expect no more than that. Nobody always
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: catch feelings and up, Oh my god, you know, goodness
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: damn with this for six months? You know that, you
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: know we're not gonna last no longer, ain't no sinse
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: and you want that Christmas don't go with you. You've
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: been to getting out of that Christmas. Now about October,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: we're gonna fade up out here. Oh man, I'm gonna
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: be looking about to break bread, hair tunket down. We'reen
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: doing that. Christmas is December twenty six not to deal
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: with it, deal with it, don't be back, okay, Okay,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: moving on? Uh No, dissing aloud, disappearing acts without explaining
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: what's happening, Okay, I can't do it. Well, you know,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: um it's kind of touchy because you know the end
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: of the day, you know, if you say you're gonna

- 1:29:30Speaker 1: to the Steve Show alright. A new Whitney Houston documentary
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: will debut this Saturday, August on Showtime. H Can I
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: Be Me looks at the awesome, talent and troubled life
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: of Whitney, weaving together never before seen video, candid interviews,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: and behind the scenes performance footage. This is a raw
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: and uncensored portrait of Whitney Houston five years after her
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: death at age forty eight. The directors focus on Whitney's
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: central dilemma. Even though she had made a fortune and
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: was recognized as one of the greatest voices ever, she
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: still wasn't able to do what she wanted, either professionally
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: or in her personal life. This film was not authorized
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: by Whitney's family. The director, Nick Bloomfield, is known for
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: his conspiracy theory films on the death of Biggie Smalls
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: and Tupac Shakur. So look out for that. It's called
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: Can I Be Me? You know what I saw this
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: summer in um actually in Capri, Claud Davis. They did
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: a big thing on his life. I think on Netflix. Oh,
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: I didn't see a big thing. I think it was
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: Netflix or HBO. Someone cud David's great guy man you
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: talked to him, responsible for He was a lot of Whitney.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: Deborah Cox. Yeah, who's playing Whitney? Um, I think this
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: sounds yea The Bodyguard. The musical is called The Bodyguard.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: Shut your damn Yeah. Yeah, it was being good. But anyway,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: nobody else can do it because most people could do.
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: And that's pretty much. And love you after that, love
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: you when you sucked your breathit and it actually sounded
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: better than the note that came out, did you? Actually
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: that was better than the note. Thank you, Steve, thank you,
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. That makes me feel stuffid thank you,
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: Thank you. Guys. I hate it, thank you, thank you.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: You know I loved me some Whitney because you don't
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: hate my poetry. Thank you your poetry. What I just did.
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: Just there's no comparison, there's no comparison. Apples in one
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: of these things is just like the other. Wow, I
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: want to see that though. That's gonna be good. She
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: can definitely say, oh yeah, it seems like longer, but
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: it's just years yea, all the great ones. Yeah. And
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: then just over the past weekend, did Gregory Jerry lewis
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: Man I first started doing stand up? I got to
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: see uh at the comedy club. I got to see
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: did Gregory unbelievable? Yeah, it was something I'd never seen.
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: Takes serious issues like that. Yeah. Yeah, wasn't he one
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: of the first black comedians that crossed over? He crossed
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: over and he wouldn't do the tonight show unless they
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: let him sit down, Unless they let him sit down. Yeah,
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: I remember reading that. Yeah, sit down and do an interview.
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: What did you say, Oh, George wantas you're doing. If
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: the answer does hang out the end, let't just saying hello, Hello,
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: He'll cling he's fine. We just talked that. We don't
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: know that anything. We'll be back to wrap up the
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: show with just one more thing. You're listening to Steve
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard has warned
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: Floyd Mayweather Junior against too much partying before his high
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: profile bout with a UFC lightweight champ Connor McGregor this
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: Saturday at the T Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, in
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: which Steve will be could hurt. Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: Gentlemen's Club, oh he in Vegas? Yeah, thank you that
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: I won't be going to that. Why not. I can
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: promise you that strip club got to be I'm going
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: to the fight. I'm I'm going to day earlier. I
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: think though, I might even go to the Way and
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: they got me tickets to the Way in I don't know.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: I would think that Floyd Mayweather would take this particular
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: fight seriously and not too right because this ain't This
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: ain't a boxerna. It's gonna be different training. I think
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: we're going. Yeah, has he been training with UFC fighters
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: for what? I just I just I just think Steve
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: that you know Floyda's used to boxing boxes. I just
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: think this this is gonna be on off the do Okay, Well,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: now tell me again, what's the difference between Connor McGregor's
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: way of fighting and Floyd's skilled mixer martial arts? Is
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: that how they're going to fight you fighting boxing? In
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: boxing mixed martial arts, you can kick. You can kick
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: to the head. You cannot kick to the head if
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: a man's hand is on the mat. If his hand
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: ain't on the mat, you can kick to the head. Um.
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: You can hear elbows anywhere elbows, you can choke, you
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: can put in a submission hole. You know, you can
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: need So is there any boxing involved? Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: mean you can straight striker, they call them strikers. You
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: can stand there in box. But the dude, why boxing.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: He can kick in your leg, you can none of
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: that's happening. But you can't do nothing. But when he
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: starts getting his behind will My fear is that he
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: will resort to what he knows because when you're in
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: the ring and you're in the heat of batting, you're
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: getting your butt womb. He's gonna probably kick. He's gonna
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: probably kick the sugar honey ice and Roger coming in
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: right at right after. It's gonna get real lugly man
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: really well, I mean it's already ugly with fights him dirty.
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: If he fights him dirty, he gonna sue it because
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: if he comes in there with that elbow and all
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: that mess. You can't do that right. You can slip
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: by elbow, but has to come behind a punch. Yeah, well,
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: actually just got fighting dirty and taking a lot of
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: suit just to knock him out. The reps have to
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: be on their game. A lot of you lose all
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: your money, thought, Jay, you're not gonna do that stupid Now.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: A lot of the m m A fighters Walt McGregor
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: to win just for the sport. But every boxer that's
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: a boxer, that holy Field Tyson, they've all said the
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: work they got to put in. He's just such a
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: skilled boxing Yeah, that McGregor is an amateur boxer. So
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: why the racial slurs and all that though? You know
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: that is necessary? Oh okay, but I think Floyd is junior.
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: He ticked at this guy. I know I am. I
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: would fight him for three hundred million. Yeah, but three
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: hundred million McGregor, I'm gonna get beat pretty bad, but
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna fight. I'm gonna fighter dunk out of his should.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: He'll never do even to fight again. He won't be
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: throwing the more right cross almost sank in the top
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: of his show, The Blade I I won't all listen here. Yeah,
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: them traps from pound for pounder, are they pretty good matchup? No,
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: not for not for box. Floyd Mayweather is one of
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: the greatest pound for pound fighters in the world ever.
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: And that that thing he knows that right there. Connor
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: McGregor hasn't seen he hasn't seen that speed. He doesn't
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: know what a faint is. What is it? You know?
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: You know when you fight, and you know when you faint.
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: He gonna faint, though, it's like faking him out. You
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: don't know when the punch is coming. That's you don't
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: know when the punch is got. But you gotta stand
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: there in that ring. Man, you gotta wear in boxing shoes.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: He out there barefoot. You gotta put them boxing shoes on.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: You need to see it. You need to see m
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: M A rounds. And they fight in my cave. I
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: watch it all the time. Right now. It is much
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: more entertaining than fighting because there's no fight. There's no
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: heavyweight division. The heavyweight division they got right now. It
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: is all make believe that boy out of Birmingham. They
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: had crushed him back in the day. He couldn't with
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: Norton Holmes nobody. So it is I mean, is that
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: an error? It's gone by, It's gone by. You know.
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: Division to watch now? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, man, well all
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: the boys, man pack. Yeah, that whole and even below that.
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: The Mexican fight some boys is greatness. Man was was was?
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: Was Ray? Leonard and Mayweather? Is that the same weight class? Yeah?
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: So that's why Sugar Ray is giving him. Um did
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: you see the fight with Sugar Sugar? Woof? Uh? Floyd
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: Daddy Mayweather in the fight, did you I didn't even
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: know that uncle. It was oh, Floyd's uncle, Roger Mayweather
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: the Black Moon Book. That boy was nasty, but it
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: was Floyd Uncle Florida. Uncle was punky boy. He'd be cussing.
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: H right. See, we gotta go now. I have a
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: great weekend, man, y'all right. For all Harvey contests, no
