- 0:16Speaker 1: bucks things and the stuffing not good. Steve hastening to
- 0:25Speaker 1: the mother. Please I don't join jo. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turning you you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn you haven't got to turn them out. Then turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come come on your baby, uhh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will A good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, come on, dig me NW one. It only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harley got a radio show today. I want to
- 2:15Speaker 1: just share something with you along your way to wherever
- 2:23Speaker 1: it is you're trying to get to. You know, every
- 2:26Speaker 1: everybody has a different definition for success, and I'm not.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm not here to tell you what joy should be.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I mean, please pursue whatever you think success he is
- 2:36Speaker 1: aim as high as you can though, that's for sure.
- 2:41Speaker 1: My father used to say all the time. I'm sure
- 2:43Speaker 1: you all have heard it in different variations, but he
- 2:46Speaker 1: used to always say, aim for the moon. Just in
- 2:49Speaker 1: case you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars. Just
- 2:52Speaker 1: say that to me all the time. So that always
- 2:56Speaker 1: was in me to aim high. Now he wasn't saying
- 3:00Speaker 1: aim with the intent to miss. He was just saying aim.
- 3:06Speaker 1: In case you miss, you're still amongst the stars. If
- 3:10Speaker 1: you aim for the moon. But if you just aim
- 3:12Speaker 1: for that first flow winder and you miss it, you know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: usually run into some type of wall and nothing happens.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You slither down. You know. In my book, act like
- 3:23Speaker 1: a lady, think like a man. I told her people
- 3:26Speaker 1: that men love three ways. They profess, they provide, they protect,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and that's the core essence of a man's love. Well,
- 3:34Speaker 1: there's some other peas in life too. The number one
- 3:38Speaker 1: thing you have to understand about trying to be successful,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and I guess I call this the four peas. I
- 3:46Speaker 1: may come up with five along the way. I don't know.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm just talking as is given to me. So I'm
- 3:52Speaker 1: gonna summer start by saying, as these are the four
- 3:55Speaker 1: peas of success that you have to get ready for it.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Er one, it's pressure. A lot of it is applied
- 4:04Speaker 1: by the circumstance of what you're trying to go for
- 4:07Speaker 1: and what you're trying to do, but a lot of
- 4:12Speaker 1: it also is self imposed pressure. It's what you put
- 4:16Speaker 1: on yourself to make it. It's a sense of urgency.
- 4:23Speaker 1: It's a sense of necessity. But pressure is the first
- 4:28Speaker 1: thing I want you to be ready for. And pressure
- 4:31Speaker 1: comes in a lot of different forms, but it's going
- 4:34Speaker 1: to be pressured. As an old saying that pressure buster pipe. See,
- 4:37Speaker 1: that's why most people turn around because of the pressure
- 4:40Speaker 1: of trying to be successful. I want you to get
- 4:43Speaker 1: it in your mind that it is going to be
- 4:46Speaker 1: a pressure rized situation on your rise to the top. Pressure,
- 4:52Speaker 1: but understand that that it is what it is, is
- 4:55Speaker 1: not going to change. That's it. Prepare yourself, get ready
- 5:00Speaker 1: for there to be pressure. The second thing I want
- 5:05Speaker 1: you to understand is when you receive this pressure, you
- 5:09Speaker 1: have to persist. You got to stay at it. You
- 5:13Speaker 1: got to develop a dog getness has a There's a
- 5:21Speaker 1: song who says, why must I feel like that? Why
- 5:26Speaker 1: must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog in me?
- 5:32Speaker 1: That's a funny line in that song, because really I
- 5:36Speaker 1: was thinking about it one day. I was humming it
- 5:39Speaker 1: and and and it, and it occurred to me, said,
- 5:42Speaker 1: why must I feel like that? Why must I chase
- 5:46Speaker 1: the cat? Nothing but the dog get me? And you know,
- 5:51Speaker 1: now you could take it in the literal says that
- 5:53Speaker 1: the cat chases the dog because it's innately is in
- 5:57Speaker 1: his spirit. That cats and dogs are a lot of
- 6:00Speaker 1: times enemies. Now people have pets in him, proving that
- 6:03Speaker 1: if you show love on both sides, they can exist.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And that happens too, but naturally, innately, when your cat
- 6:11Speaker 1: goes by a dog, your dog don't recognize him, that
- 6:13Speaker 1: some barking going on. I'm talking ab just walking through
- 6:16Speaker 1: the neighborhood or something. So, but the reason that this
- 6:19Speaker 1: dog's so persistent towards this cat is just cause it's
- 6:26Speaker 1: in him. It's innately in him. And what I'm saying
- 6:32Speaker 1: to you, just using that as an analogy, is that
- 6:36Speaker 1: you got to be you got to be persistent in that.
- 6:42Speaker 1: You got to develop some dog in you now because
- 6:46Speaker 1: pressure takes some fighting back. See if you don't fight
- 6:50Speaker 1: back against pressure, pressure buster pipes, So what you think
- 6:53Speaker 1: it will do to you? Pressure, crack walls, pressure calls, explosions.
- 6:58Speaker 1: So if you don't fight back to hold it in,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you understand pressure does most people in the simple thing
- 7:06Speaker 1: called pressure, the weight of what it feels like to
- 7:10Speaker 1: want to be successful every single day, over and over
- 7:14Speaker 1: and over and over and over it's just too much pressure.
- 7:17Speaker 1: People crack. You got to persist. You have to persist.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You can. The thought of giving up can come, but
- 7:26Speaker 1: you got to get it out. You gotta persist. The
- 7:32Speaker 1: next thing I want you to think about is another
- 7:35Speaker 1: something that I've been thinking about for years and learn
- 7:38Speaker 1: for years. It's called perseverance. To persist means to insist.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Its keyword in insist and persistence insists you must. You
- 7:51Speaker 1: must insist that this is going to happen. Now, the
- 7:54Speaker 1: persist I'm assuming means it's a proaction. It's some type
- 7:58Speaker 1: of proaction that you go towards it to make it.
- 8:02Speaker 1: You know, persist, you gotta be persistent. You gotta be
- 8:05Speaker 1: constantly at insisting that it happens. You gotta be constantly
- 8:09Speaker 1: at it. But the next thing I want you to
- 8:11Speaker 1: remember is perseverance. Perseverance is important. Perseverance means that when
- 8:18Speaker 1: you've done your best, when you've persisted, when you're fighting
- 8:22Speaker 1: back against the pressure. Perseverance simply means I'm going to
- 8:28Speaker 1: hang in here. What if a crack come into pipe,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna hang in there. If the pipe bust, I'm
- 8:36Speaker 1: gonna keep going. If I gotta put duct, take mud,
- 8:40Speaker 1: whatever I got to put on this thing. Man, I'm
- 8:44Speaker 1: gonna use perseverance. I'm going to stay with it no
- 8:48Speaker 1: matter what. So we're looking at the three things again.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You got to understand that it's gonna be pressure that
- 8:56Speaker 1: you're gonna have to persist. Keyword and persistence. You have
- 9:01Speaker 1: to insist that no matter what the pressure is, I'm
- 9:03Speaker 1: gonna stay with it. But then perseverance. If it goes wrong, man,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you got to get in there and keep fighting. But
- 9:12Speaker 1: then Lord Him Mercy. Nothing helps you handle the three
- 9:16Speaker 1: peas better than the fourth pea. You got to pray.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You got to use prayer. You gotta talk to God.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You gotta use faith. You gotta have some conferences with
- 9:27Speaker 1: him late at night, early in the morning, in the
- 9:31Speaker 1: middle of the afternoon, when you own the train, when
- 9:33Speaker 1: you're driving. You got to talk to God. Man, you
- 9:36Speaker 1: gotta get yourself some help along the way. Nothing is
- 9:39Speaker 1: bigger than prayer. There is nothing bigger than prayer. Prayer
- 9:43Speaker 1: will help you overcome the pressure. Prayer will help you
- 9:46Speaker 1: stay persistent, and Lord Him Mercy, prayer will help you
- 9:50Speaker 1: persevere them is the faux peas. God gave that to me.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm passing it home show. Ladies and gentlemen. Here we
- 10:03Speaker 1: are again, another day, another blessing, another opportunity to another chance. Man,
- 10:08Speaker 1: oh man, oh man, you gotta look at it that way.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Always give honor to God. When you wake up in
- 10:13Speaker 1: the morning. Don't ever wake up without thinking it, because
- 10:17Speaker 1: I want to remind you of something. You don't have
- 10:19Speaker 1: the ability to wake yourself up. Oh, that's not your
- 10:23Speaker 1: alarm clock that does it. It's not your iPhone that
- 10:26Speaker 1: does it, or it makes it sound. But God shakes
- 10:29Speaker 1: you and allows you to hear the sound. Don't forget that. Man,
- 10:32Speaker 1: God's good. Got another chance to day. I shall appreciate you.
- 10:35Speaker 1: This is Steve Harper mort to show Sherley Strawberry Collin
- 10:38Speaker 1: for real mouth at the South, that junior and the
- 10:40Speaker 1: legend that is nephew Tommy. Yeah. Well well, well, well,
- 10:45Speaker 1: well well junior, what's going on in your life today?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Well let me ask you this up. You know, your dedication,
- 10:53Speaker 1: being dedicated? What what's that work? Is it? Like? How
- 10:56Speaker 1: do you do that consistently? What's the benefit? Funny being
- 11:00Speaker 1: dedicated you're doing more so than dedication. I think the
- 11:07Speaker 1: term that I use more often is disciplined. Discipline is
- 11:13Speaker 1: doing what you have to do when you don't want to.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Discipline causes you to perform when all feelings of performance
- 11:23Speaker 1: have gone. Discipline makes you wake up without being told
- 11:29Speaker 1: to get up. Discipline makes you be on time when
- 11:33Speaker 1: easily you could easily be late. Discipline makes you show
- 11:39Speaker 1: up when you don't even feel like getting up. So
- 11:44Speaker 1: discipline is the thing that a person has to have.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Now you can work on discipline. You can train yourself
- 11:51Speaker 1: to be more disciplined by simply saying I will not
- 11:56Speaker 1: be denied as difficult as the task may be. You
- 12:03Speaker 1: have to develop the attitude that this task is doable,
- 12:08Speaker 1: no matter what the mission in front of you. You
- 12:11Speaker 1: must realize that someone has accomplished this already. You ain't
- 12:15Speaker 1: got no new mission. You're the only one trying to
- 12:18Speaker 1: accomplish something. You ain't the only one getting setbacks. You
- 12:21Speaker 1: ain't the only one getting catching the curveball. Understand that
- 12:25Speaker 1: it's going down for a lot of people, and you
- 12:28Speaker 1: have to be willing to discipline yourself to see it through.
- 12:33Speaker 1: That's the task that's at head, and it's in everybody, man,
- 12:36Speaker 1: it really is. It's just you have to practice being disciplined.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You know, it's like it's like what we do in
- 12:43Speaker 1: the morning, all of us here, we're the were morning
- 12:46Speaker 1: Drive show. Now, no matter what our night was, what
- 12:50Speaker 1: our evening was the day before, and what news we
- 12:53Speaker 1: got this morning, we have to be disciplined to come
- 12:57Speaker 1: here every morning at this time and be discipline to
- 13:00Speaker 1: put on the face that allows us the ability to
- 13:04Speaker 1: use this God given gift and platform that God has
- 13:07Speaker 1: given to us on the Steve Harvey Morning Show and
- 13:10Speaker 1: deliver morning show that's impactful, inspiration, motivational, informative, enlightening and funny.
- 13:21Speaker 1: We gotta do all of that. That takes discipline, brother,
- 13:25Speaker 1: So congratulations to the members of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 13:28Speaker 1: Show for disciplining yourself in a way that has made
- 13:31Speaker 1: us number one around. All right, thank you, Steve. Coming
- 13:39Speaker 1: up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we have
- 13:41Speaker 1: some church complaints for you. Right after this. You're listening
- 13:45Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is time now
- 13:48Speaker 1: for church complaints. After all, it is Monday, ladies and gentlemen,
- 13:53Speaker 1: here's Reverend Motown and dickon dev jam with our is
- 13:57Speaker 1: are these our first complaints of the new year? Guys
- 14:00Speaker 1: stuff the new year, what we gal most partifously wow
- 14:11Speaker 1: today we galveol to do complaints to heal what the
- 14:17Speaker 1: auspiciousness the congregation is going through? It a guagarious why
- 14:25Speaker 1: p terrios hilarious, oh marta kifical way, good god boy.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I'm preaching though marking speak that words words, words, whole word.
- 14:49Speaker 1: All right, path, let's get down the business here. We
- 14:51Speaker 1: got some issues. Some of the members in the congregation
- 14:54Speaker 1: seem to think that you have confidential church documents at
- 15:00Speaker 1: to your house and they are they will be raiding
- 15:03Speaker 1: your house at twelve noon. Is that anything you want
- 15:06Speaker 1: to tell the chase? First of all, if you come
- 15:11Speaker 1: up in hell, there is a surprise week. Yeah. And
- 15:17Speaker 1: it ain't the dog either. Once you get bit by
- 15:22Speaker 1: what I got in this hill house, there there's no treatment.
- 15:27Speaker 1: For a second, Do I have secret church documents? In
- 15:36Speaker 1: my position? Answer to that is yes, So pay your
- 15:44Speaker 1: ties on time or they will slowly be leaked. Okay,
- 15:54Speaker 1: I don't know how to take that back to the contraction.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Take it back just like I get to you now,
- 16:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to edit that.
- 16:03Speaker 1: That's another way I'm going back like that anyway. He
- 16:07Speaker 1: has another problem. Brother Curtis couldn't afford knee surgery, so
- 16:12Speaker 1: they basically removed both his knees. Now he just uh,
- 16:16Speaker 1: he can't sit down all right, his legs won't be
- 16:19Speaker 1: and he's asking for a standing room section as well
- 16:22Speaker 1: as they toilet built sideways on the wall in the bathroom.
- 16:26Speaker 1: It's yo, collpack, No, what we're gonna do is buy
- 16:29Speaker 1: him some kneepads from Spoken Goods. Yeah, and we're gonna
- 16:37Speaker 1: have him close to the front, because nothing looks better
- 16:40Speaker 1: at a church than a real person with something wrong.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I don't can't alrighty we need I'm not just gonna
- 16:54Speaker 1: allow you to allow that to so ken. Yeah. Yeah,
- 16:58Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of these answer though. I
- 17:00Speaker 1: can't take back to the congregation. It's it's impossible, but anyway,
- 17:04Speaker 1: let me keep it moving. Brother Carnell Washington is asking
- 17:08Speaker 1: to preach, that's coming Sunday. Now, he say, you won't
- 17:11Speaker 1: let him preach because you're scared to lose your spot
- 17:14Speaker 1: at the trade. Like he says, he leaving this Sunday
- 17:17Speaker 1: if he don't get to deliver the word. Now, that's yo,
- 17:20Speaker 1: cal Now it's your caw. But you are to let
- 17:22Speaker 1: this boy preach. What time is he leaving so I
- 17:29Speaker 1: can get your sisterhood to play him a bad How
- 17:38Speaker 1: far is he going? That depends on how many fromental
- 17:42Speaker 1: spread sandwiches we go. Lady, you can pass that on
- 17:48Speaker 1: rating now okay, Okay, I get that message to him,
- 17:55Speaker 1: all right. H other news we got, brother, Maurice Shepherd
- 17:59Speaker 1: is opening up to J P j J Big Game
- 18:03Speaker 1: pot now now. Spots is starting at five hundred dollars
- 18:07Speaker 1: and it'll pay two thousand dollars a quarter uh and
- 18:11Speaker 1: uh thousand dollars far with thousand dollars backwards. And well,
- 18:15Speaker 1: we just needed to know how many of you need
- 18:18Speaker 1: not the church don't know you gambler. You know that.
- 18:20Speaker 1: But if I realize you have not explained this in
- 18:24Speaker 1: the proper way, I don't knows what really. It's one
- 18:29Speaker 1: of those U the betting game for the big football
- 18:32Speaker 1: game this coming weekend, okay, and we're buying square each
- 18:37Speaker 1: square five hundred dollars. Okay. Well, do you want the
- 18:40Speaker 1: congregation and know that you are gambling or would you
- 18:43Speaker 1: rather put another name on that instead of your name?
- 18:46Speaker 1: I don't have no problem right there. You put my
- 18:49Speaker 1: name on there all you want of you, because if
- 18:52Speaker 1: I were, I don't do a little problem. Who was
- 18:56Speaker 1: ready rude off and all the remotown warning. Let's get
- 19:06Speaker 1: it straight there. When I come up to collect my winnings,
- 19:09Speaker 1: I won't be in a poker man. I'll fit either
- 19:12Speaker 1: me all right, all right, nine, we got a little
- 19:18Speaker 1: this is a little sticky right here past the sister
- 19:20Speaker 1: Bonne and Fagan and brother Radar Fagan as you know
- 19:24Speaker 1: that mixed couple. You know she's white and he's African American.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Now they tell that about the names or yeah, yeah,
- 19:35Speaker 1: Now listen, their children are trying to pass for white
- 19:39Speaker 1: and asking the daddy. They quit coming to the basketball
- 19:41Speaker 1: games at the school. They're trying to get us an
- 19:43Speaker 1: HBCU Scottish Hill. But the daddy keep coming up there
- 19:47Speaker 1: high and go that's my boy, that's my boy. And
- 19:49Speaker 1: they want you to talk to the daddy. They are
- 19:53Speaker 1: trying to pass for white. You said, yeah, because see
- 19:56Speaker 1: at the HBCU they could get a big schottars Hip
- 19:58Speaker 1: if they come in there white. That's what they say.
- 20:02Speaker 1: But the daddy, everybody's seen brother or at the game.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah he keeps showing up, and that's what the kids
- 20:10Speaker 1: don't want him now that, yeah, I think it's absolutely
- 20:14Speaker 1: too late for that of our darkest members here, and
- 20:22Speaker 1: a lot of times we had him sit over that
- 20:24Speaker 1: bytle window and act as a shade. Coming up next,
- 20:32Speaker 1: asked the cello. The Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in
- 20:35Speaker 1: the building, ready for your love questions right after this,
- 20:39Speaker 1: you're listening show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 20:44Speaker 1: In music News, Carla is ready. You get ready too,
- 20:47Speaker 1: because Carla has got all of the highlights from last
- 20:51Speaker 1: night's Grammy Awards. It was good. The Grammys are still on.
- 20:59Speaker 1: It's tomorrow this morning, all right. We're also very thrilled
- 21:07Speaker 1: and just so happy for Viola Davis. Davis has now
- 21:11Speaker 1: achieved Egot's status, and Beyonce's beehive is buzzing over her
- 21:16Speaker 1: Renaissance tour tickets. That's all at the top of the hour,
- 21:19Speaker 1: but right now it is time to ask the clo.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Our chief love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building. Frieda
- 21:26Speaker 1: and Tupelo says, I'm a thirty three year old. I'm
- 21:30Speaker 1: thirty three years old and my dad's friend is trying
- 21:33Speaker 1: to date me. He's fifty seven, recently divorced and very
- 21:38Speaker 1: nice looking. My dad talks about how he cheated on
- 21:42Speaker 1: his wife and that's why he's divorced. Knowing that, will
- 21:45Speaker 1: my dad give us his consent to date? I know
- 21:49Speaker 1: right away who was attractive to you, young lady, because
- 21:52Speaker 1: your daddy's friend is fifty seven, you're thirty three. But
- 21:59Speaker 1: your name Freedom, and that's an old ass name right there.
- 22:06Speaker 1: That's very attractive to you know, Bartholome or whoever your
- 22:12Speaker 1: dade an oldiest, oldest and Freedom. So that's there. Your
- 22:26Speaker 1: dad is not gonna understand it. He is not. You're
- 22:30Speaker 1: still his daughter. He gonna he's gonna be real upset
- 22:34Speaker 1: with his friend, real upset, so you know, yeah, yeah,
- 22:45Speaker 1: all right. Moving on to Christy in Dallas, Chrissie writes,
- 22:48Speaker 1: my husband and I went to dinner and our server
- 22:51Speaker 1: was the chick he cheated with three years ago. He
- 22:54Speaker 1: was ready to leave, but I enjoyed making her work
- 22:57Speaker 1: hard for a tip. He said I was being rude
- 23:00Speaker 1: to her for no reason. So I'm asking, is he crazy?
- 23:03Speaker 1: And why would I respect her? That is no way
- 23:11Speaker 1: that we are continuing this meal, right, Okay? So first
- 23:17Speaker 1: of all, she ain't bringing me no food, thank you.
- 23:21Speaker 1: That's for starters. Then, I'm not defending her saying you
- 23:25Speaker 1: would rude to her for no reason. I know she was.
- 23:29Speaker 1: It's just no what this is unthinkable. It's no way
- 23:31Speaker 1: I would I would have. I would got up left. Yeah,
- 23:35Speaker 1: I would have went to another section. Anything. I'm leaving
- 23:37Speaker 1: the restaurant though. It's the girl he cheated with that
- 23:42Speaker 1: you know about, and he know you found out about.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I don't even know why she's still bringing food over
- 23:47Speaker 1: that her how to quit? You know she puts something
- 23:52Speaker 1: in that food? Oh well, first of all, I know
- 24:00Speaker 1: will happily because I'm gonna just start throwing up right
- 24:04Speaker 1: there at the taste sooner she walked up to the table,

- 24:25Speaker 1: wife that she was being rude to the woman he
- 24:28Speaker 1: cheated with. I'm not defending this house crazy. You're worried
- 24:35Speaker 1: about your wife's manners, right, hey, let me tell you
- 24:39Speaker 1: something right right anything, if anything, I would sit there

- 24:53Speaker 1: I'd like to seize the salad. Please food. It's all right,
- 25:05Speaker 1: i'd been moving all right. Moving on to Jennifer in Baltimore.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Jennifer says, my best friend and I fell out years
- 25:18Speaker 1: ago after I showed her husband my panties during a
- 25:23Speaker 1: game of Truth or dare Well. It was close to yeah,
- 25:27Speaker 1: it was close to twenty years ago, and her husband
- 25:29Speaker 1: is deceased. Now I hate that she's still holding a brush.

- 26:47Speaker 1: not like that. I am always scared after I send

- 27:37Speaker 1: and uh well, and he's a couple of things through. Uhh.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I don't know how you think you know a woman
- 27:45Speaker 1: so well, dog, but you don't that. My wife ain't
- 27:49Speaker 1: like that. She ain't like that, tach date. That's right.
- 27:54Speaker 1: You know how we change that change could be instantaneous
- 28:00Speaker 1: without warning or notifications. They don't send out notifications when
- 28:04Speaker 1: they change it now, they just do it. The show snapped. Huh,
- 28:09Speaker 1: hence the show snapped. They did a whole show about it. Snapped. Snap, Yes,
- 28:19Speaker 1: I won't be watching that. I've seen it. Yeah, they
- 28:27Speaker 1: should watch white men to go to Home Depot. They
- 28:29Speaker 1: shouldn't have a show on all white men to come
- 28:31Speaker 1: into home depot, the buy blasting hefty bag and and
- 28:36Speaker 1: automatically called the police and report the Yes, there's a
- 28:39Speaker 1: strong possibility down tonight date line. All right, Cielo, we

- 29:34Speaker 1: was produced by Quest Love, and he did an outstandingy
- 29:40Speaker 1: job of putting this segment together. I'm talking about Big Boy,
- 29:44Speaker 1: Buster Runs, Daylight Soul Queen Latifa, Nellie. Uh but let's
- 29:50Speaker 1: goes on good lineup. Oh my goodness, Salt and Pepper.

- 30:12Speaker 1: that were not there. But it was only a segment.
- 30:15Speaker 1: It wasn't a whole show. There's a lot of people

- 30:53Speaker 1: It was it was park rest in peace on stage
- 31:01Speaker 1: with everybody out of this anyway. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 1: so quickly, Lizzo she won Record of the Year. And
- 31:12Speaker 1: I loved her speech because at the end she thanked
- 31:16Speaker 1: Beyonce and Beyonce was standing up showing a love. She
- 31:19Speaker 1: talked about when she was in the fifth grade and
- 31:22Speaker 1: her sister came to pick her up and she went
- 31:24Speaker 1: to see Beyonce and concert and she said that Beyonce
- 31:27Speaker 1: is the artist of our lifetime. So that was so
- 31:30Speaker 1: much love that she gave. Lizzo gave Beyonce while Lizzo
- 31:34Speaker 1: was winning a Grammy, so that was really really nice.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Smokey Robinson, Steve and Stevie Wonder killed moment. Man, that
- 31:44Speaker 1: was a good moment. There was a really good moment.

- 32:03Speaker 1: late to the Grammys. Traffic La traffic where helicopter No
- 32:12Speaker 1: they drove and they got there late, so she actually
- 32:14Speaker 1: missed winning her first Grammy, which was for Best R
- 32:18Speaker 1: and B Song Female for Cuffet, which you know that
- 32:22Speaker 1: turned out to be a huge record, huge TikTok challenge.
- 32:26Speaker 1: You know, everybody was doing the cuff of dance and
- 32:28Speaker 1: all that, so it was good. Trevor Noah shout out
- 32:31Speaker 1: to Trevor Noah. He was an outstanding host. Yer. Yeah,

- 32:40Speaker 1: but I said, no, cousin what Yeah, I don't know.
- 32:44Speaker 1: So you know music, Steve. Now you may not know
- 32:50Speaker 1: you know music, you know, but you know you start announcing,
- 32:53Speaker 1: you know, like I'm familiar with hip hop. I was
- 32:56Speaker 1: born in the birth of it. But yeah, it was
- 32:58Speaker 1: not mine. You know, I'm not a fact. When hip
- 33:01Speaker 1: hop first came out, I said, this is not gonna last.
- 33:03Speaker 1: They're talking, this is what you were one of those.
- 33:08Speaker 1: I mean, I was the one I was paid. A
- 33:11Speaker 1: matter of fact, I'm not gonna start liking this because
- 33:13Speaker 1: this fitn't go way talking. Yeah, years later, year later, bro, bro,
- 33:20Speaker 1: let me tell you something, man, it was crazy, you know.
- 33:23Speaker 1: So to Steve, hip hop is not just music. It's
- 33:26Speaker 1: a lifestyle. Yeah. Well yeah, it's a culture. You know,
- 33:29Speaker 1: it's but I didn't see it as that back then.
- 33:32Speaker 1: I just yeah, it grew into something. That genre of
- 33:35Speaker 1: music has created more millionaires than any of the genre. Yeah. Yeah, Okay,
- 33:41Speaker 1: one more question, Carla, who who had on your favorite outfit?
- 33:45Speaker 1: I liked Beyonce. I like what she had, she had
- 33:49Speaker 1: her train beautiful. She changed out. I didn't see that,
- 33:52Speaker 1: but I'm gonna go with you. Cardi Bay, Blue Jay
- 33:58Speaker 1: Love looked really a Dale A Dale had on pretty
- 34:03Speaker 1: and everybody looks at last night, you know, God? No,
- 34:07Speaker 1: I love Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift. Yes, yes, yes, that's
- 34:13Speaker 1: the Grammys. That's an update, there's more highlights whatever, you know.
- 34:17Speaker 1: We'll see everything on social media. Yeah, we will. You're right,
- 34:21Speaker 1: all right, thank you, Carla. We gotta say congratulations to
- 34:25Speaker 1: Viola Davis too, because I mean, Violet, not only is
- 34:29Speaker 1: she an outstanding Oscar winning actress, um, now she's an
- 34:33Speaker 1: Egot winner as well. She got the eighteenth u Egott.
- 34:38Speaker 1: She is the eighteenth Egot winner in history, meaning she
- 34:41Speaker 1: now has an Emmy, a Grammy, and Oscar and a
- 34:44Speaker 1: Tony Award. Viola won the Grammy for Best Audiobook Narration
- 34:49Speaker 1: and Storytelling Recording for the narration of her memoir Finding Me.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Viola joins two other black leading ladies, that is will
- 34:57Speaker 1: Be Goldberg and Jennifer Hudson who also so have reached
- 35:01Speaker 1: Egot status. So that's pretty big. Congratulations again, Yeah, she
- 35:05Speaker 1: deserves all the accolades, Viola Davis. She's phenomenal time choin. Yeah. Yeah,
- 35:13Speaker 1: she was all staged trying to do the look puffick yeah, yes, yes,
- 35:18Speaker 1: beautiful Harry Styles look like a fool. I love Harry Styles.
- 35:26Speaker 1: All right, all right, thank you, Carla, coming up for
- 35:31Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour. A New York middle school
- 35:34Speaker 1: served chicken and watermelon to students on the first day
- 35:37Speaker 1: of Black History Month. We'll talk about that right after this.
- 35:41Speaker 1: You're listening to show well. It is Black History Month
- 35:46Speaker 1: and a middle school in Nyack, New York, had to
- 35:50Speaker 1: issue an apology after serving a stereotypical quote Black History
- 35:53Speaker 1: Month menu to his students and faculty. Nyak Middle School's
- 35:57Speaker 1: food service vendor, Aaron decided to change the lunch menu
- 36:02Speaker 1: on the first day of Black History Month and served
- 36:07Speaker 1: fried chicken, waffles and watermelon. What you heard me? You
- 36:14Speaker 1: heard me? They changed the menu on the first day
- 36:18Speaker 1: of Black History Month. Who thought this was a good idea?
- 36:21Speaker 1: Fried chicken, waffles and watermelon. School officials say the menu
- 36:24Speaker 1: was changed and served without their consent. Aramark issued a
- 36:28Speaker 1: statement noting that the chicken and waffles were not meant
- 36:31Speaker 1: to be a cultural meal and claims they weren't intentionally
- 36:34Speaker 1: trying to serve a Black History Month lunch, but Aramark
- 36:38Speaker 1: was guilty of crafting another stereotypical racial meal back in
- 36:42Speaker 1: twenty eighteen at NYU, students there were offered a well planned,
- 36:46Speaker 1: quote Black History Month menu that included ribs, corn bread,
- 36:51Speaker 1: collared greens, mac and cheese with red kool aid, and
- 36:55Speaker 1: watermelon flavored water. Okay. The incident caused university to us
- 37:02Speaker 1: as the food from provider. Yeah really, though, I'll tell
- 37:09Speaker 1: you one thing I do like fried chicken that I
- 37:13Speaker 1: like watermelon. Okay, but come on now, so do white people? Yeah,
- 37:17Speaker 1: exactly more than you think. Absolutely, I don't see them here. Listen,
- 37:26Speaker 1: Kyla Greek, what mac and cheese? You've been in the cap?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Won't you join us? Mac and cheese? Yes, manly air
- 37:46Speaker 1: Mark though, yeah, it ain't gonna be what you think
- 37:56Speaker 1: it was. I got to say that it wouldn't do
- 37:59Speaker 1: the first. First of all, y'all stopped this. I need
- 38:03Speaker 1: you can look at it, Junior and til commercial corn
- 38:06Speaker 1: bread ain't ever good, you know, it's so it's so ridiculous. Yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 1: yeah that, I mean, you know, man, we almost have
- 38:17Speaker 1: to sit here and joke about this, the three of
- 38:19Speaker 1: us anyway, because I mean you just sit here and
- 38:22Speaker 1: go blatant racism. Don't care what they say. Yeah, the killings,
- 38:32Speaker 1: it's all just tracey. Yeah. But then you don't want
- 38:36Speaker 1: to teach the children black history and right, but you
- 38:40Speaker 1: want to give them the menu and yeah, Well, because
- 38:43Speaker 1: they want to control the narrative and make you understand
- 38:46Speaker 1: the part of history. They want you the fun part. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 38:51Speaker 1: they want to keep it going. We gotta get back
- 38:57Speaker 1: that conclusion. That's what you've come up with. All right,
- 39:03Speaker 1: Coming up next, Sister Odell is in the building. It
- 39:06Speaker 1: is Black History Month, and we'll talk to her right
- 39:09Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:14Speaker 1: All right, ladies and gentlemen, she is here, sister Odell. Wow,
- 39:21Speaker 1: you're here this morning? Yes, yes, yes, yes, good morning?
- 39:40Speaker 1: Is everyone's good morning? Mornley? How are you? Good morning?
- 39:46Speaker 1: I'm well, thank you? How are you? Hey? Sister over there?
- 39:49Speaker 1: How are you doing? Sippy? Wayne? No, they don't let

- 40:02Speaker 1: well how are you sister Odell? Welcome? Happy Black History Month.
- 40:09Speaker 1: That's what I'm gonna say to you, Yeah, well I'm
- 40:12Speaker 1: missing we a little latest. February first was Clarence Thomas's
- 40:18Speaker 1: Grandfather's birthday. Oh wow, the Supreme Court justice. Who yeah,
- 40:26Speaker 1: I know that. Well, his grandfather's name was uncle. Oh,
- 40:35Speaker 1: scolding us a month and was called Thomas. I got it, sister,
- 40:48Speaker 1: And I guess you can see where we came up
- 40:50Speaker 1: with everything. Yes, ma'am. Clar all started with Clarsses thomas
- 40:56Speaker 1: grandfather and his first name was uncle. Uncle. Tell you, yes, mane,
- 41:07Speaker 1: well you have been around for a while, so let
- 41:09Speaker 1: us know a little bit more about you and your
- 41:12Speaker 1: history and and everything. How did you grow up? Hell,
- 41:15Speaker 1: I go back. You know a lot of people don't
- 41:20Speaker 1: know this part of black history. But when I was
- 41:22Speaker 1: talking to Bessie so the flag, the American flag, yeah,
- 41:30Speaker 1: oh you knew her. Yeah, girl, that's my design, the red,
- 41:37Speaker 1: not her. You know, they didn't give a black folk
- 41:39Speaker 1: no credit for nothing back then. I designed the flag.
- 41:42Speaker 1: So that and everything that she couldn't see for damn,
- 41:45Speaker 1: she didn't win nack quilp making contest back then, couldn't sew,
- 41:49Speaker 1: she couldn't sell awk cool man as you Shelly that
- 41:54Speaker 1: health and let me care what she did. Let me
- 41:57Speaker 1: tell what best ross also, did y'all know that it
- 42:00Speaker 1: is here sweet what I had made a sweet potato pie.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Me and all the blacks were sitting down and enjoying it.
- 42:05Speaker 1: She stuck her nose and then excuse me, you and
- 42:09Speaker 1: all of who me and all the blacks we were
- 42:11Speaker 1: sitting down and join it. She wrought her nose ass
- 42:14Speaker 1: over there and looked in the kitchen and saw it
- 42:16Speaker 1: and saw how much happy we was eating. She gonna
- 42:19Speaker 1: go back and try to make one that this dumb
- 42:21Speaker 1: helf and didn't know them with sweet potatoes. She didn't
- 42:23Speaker 1: grab the punkt Is that how? That's why punk a pie?
- 42:29Speaker 1: Why black people don't like punk a pote right there
- 42:31Speaker 1: because they know how to tacause Thatson stole the recipe
- 42:33Speaker 1: and punkin instead of sweet potatoes. Oh that's how theseus
- 42:41Speaker 1: relevant lament whatever where you were a part of the
- 42:46Speaker 1: civil rights movement, we're here something y'all don't know. When
- 42:53Speaker 1: Rosa Parks, yes, refused to sit on the bus in
- 42:58Speaker 1: the pack huh huh at the next stop, Yes man,
- 43:04Speaker 1: I got up from my seat because I went on
- 43:06Speaker 1: to the back because I would I didn't want no trouble.
- 43:10Speaker 1: And at the next stop I got up and slapped
- 43:14Speaker 1: the white man that was driving the bus and then
- 43:17Speaker 1: just read all the way back home. I stay didn't
- 43:22Speaker 1: have for three weeks until we started the movement, and
- 43:27Speaker 1: we didn't know this. Sister, Dell, you have to come
- 43:29Speaker 1: back more. Snapped the taste out of that one. I'm
- 43:35Speaker 1: one up. This rolls upont be yes man to sit,
- 43:40Speaker 1: I said, girl, girl, I'm gonna so at the next stop,
- 43:44Speaker 1: I got up there one of that, I slapped the
- 43:46Speaker 1: neighbor out of here. Well, thank you, Cistro Dell. These
- 43:51Speaker 1: are things we did not know about black history. All right? Well,
- 43:55Speaker 1: coming up next, and is the nephew with a frank
- 43:57Speaker 1: phone call for today? Right after this, you know that, Nev,
- 44:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna slap this prank on you in minute. You're
- 44:06Speaker 1: listening to Dave Harvey Morning Show coming up at about
- 44:12Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour. It's my strawberry letter for
- 44:14Speaker 1: it today and the subject is he kept an apartment
- 44:17Speaker 1: for years. Oh, we'll find out what that's all about.
- 44:22Speaker 1: And we kind of know, but we'll find out what
- 44:24Speaker 1: that's all about in just a few because right now
- 44:26Speaker 1: the nephew is here with today's prank phone call. What
- 44:29Speaker 1: you got for us? Now? Well, you know, Shirley, Valentine's
- 44:33Speaker 1: his own way, So I dug into the archives. This
- 44:36Speaker 1: right here is Valentine's gift card. Valentine gift card, God Dog,
- 44:45Speaker 1: if you would Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Bryce.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Hey Bryce, how you doing? Man? My name is Alvin, Bro.
- 44:54Speaker 1: How you doing today? I'm good man? What's up? Hey? Listen? Um,
- 44:58Speaker 1: I know you're you're you're married? Sure? Jatricia? Right? Yeah?
- 45:03Speaker 1: Who's who's this? Okay? Like I said, yeah, my name
- 45:07Speaker 1: is Alvin, and I'm just trying to make sure I
- 45:09Speaker 1: got the right person man, because you, um, you have
- 45:11Speaker 1: black half white, right from what I understand, Yeah, I'm
- 45:14Speaker 1: gonna have black. Who who's the presidents? Why? Why are
- 45:17Speaker 1: you asking me questions? What's going on? Say? No, no, no,
- 45:21Speaker 1: everything's cool man, everything's cool. Um uh, Trish, So check
- 45:25Speaker 1: this out, man. Listen, I'm at work, man, say what
- 45:29Speaker 1: you need to say? What's happening? Okay? Listen? I actually
- 45:32Speaker 1: dentally I sent I sent Tricia some flowers for Valentine's
- 45:35Speaker 1: They're gonna get there on Friday. But I accidentally put
- 45:39Speaker 1: a you know, I ordered the gift card along with it,
- 45:42Speaker 1: and they put this gift card in Tricia's gift bag,
- 45:46Speaker 1: and really that's that gift card should really be for
- 45:49Speaker 1: my wife, and I was trying to see it. Maybe
- 45:51Speaker 1: if you get to the gift bag before, maybe you
- 45:53Speaker 1: could get it out for me so I could get
- 45:55Speaker 1: that gift card. Oh okay, so you said, uh, you
- 45:59Speaker 1: said my wife flowers for Valentine's Day? Right, yeah, yeah,
- 46:03Speaker 1: but that's not the key. The key is that it's
- 46:05Speaker 1: a gift card in there that I need. You know,
- 46:08Speaker 1: that's accidentally send a gift card and my wife. You
- 46:11Speaker 1: just want the flowers to go to her, Is that
- 46:13Speaker 1: what you're saying? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I said the
- 46:15Speaker 1: flowers man. Yeah, no problem, No, yeah, no, that's cool man.
- 46:20Speaker 1: This happens. Then we make mistakes all the time. How
- 46:23Speaker 1: about this, how about you come on over and I
- 46:25Speaker 1: will be more than happy to give you the gift
- 46:28Speaker 1: card because I'm sure you know, if you send with
- 46:30Speaker 1: the flowers, all I'll just have to handle those. That's
- 46:32Speaker 1: a gift card over to you and and probably a
- 46:34Speaker 1: nice uh speaking till you stupid mother, Why enough would

- 51:04Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land at Stephen Harvey.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Old Baby, I put some stupid on it. I put
- 51:14Speaker 1: some stupid on it. I put a little bit of
- 51:16Speaker 1: stupid on no doubt. Well, well you ain't got nothing
- 51:19Speaker 1: else to put on it, like you're dond some intelligence
- 51:24Speaker 1: all over. I couldn't get intelligent. I don't feel like
- 51:29Speaker 1: all that. I just want to be. You know what
- 51:30Speaker 1: I think about you term me that I truly truly respect.
- 51:34Speaker 1: What's that is to be stupid? Uh huh, embellished stupid?
- 51:40Speaker 1: Come on, speak on it, boy, acknowledge your stupidity, make
- 51:44Speaker 1: it plain, and then thrive in your stupidity. Come on here, man,
- 51:50Speaker 1: I mean that's just a complete package. Man. Most people
- 51:52Speaker 1: don't know how to You've actually taken what is not
- 51:55Speaker 1: a gift at all, um and turned it into one.
- 52:00Speaker 1: This is the first I've never seen that. I've never
- 52:03Speaker 1: seen a person take something that's not a guilt. You're right,
- 52:09Speaker 1: and actually turned it into one. But stupid is a
- 52:13Speaker 1: gift to me, though you know well obviously, And it's
- 52:17Speaker 1: the gift that keeps on giving. It keeps as long
- 52:22Speaker 1: as I can keep giving stupid. Let's see, here's a deal.
- 52:26Speaker 1: I'm the gift that God gave you. A prof I
- 52:31Speaker 1: was active. Yeah, I don't give stupid, but you overrode that. Well,
- 52:39Speaker 1: I know how to ante, he said, No, I can act.
- 52:46Speaker 1: Now I give a movie. I'm an nail it. But
- 52:49Speaker 1: can I just be stupid? Let me let me have it?
- 53:00Speaker 1: And I know he told you know, because he will
- 53:04Speaker 1: do that sometimes, that's right. But he let me be stupid.
- 53:10Speaker 1: He let me have, man, and look what he turned
- 53:12Speaker 1: it into. I'm a mogul of stupid. Wow, test different
- 53:20Speaker 1: Indian straight stupid. Yeah, and look what stupid has done
- 53:25Speaker 1: for me. That's all I gotta say. Look what it
- 53:27Speaker 1: has done Roy coming up in accident is a Strawberry letter.

- 54:02Speaker 1: You never know, you never know. Buckle up and hold
- 54:04Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you. Here. It is
- 54:07Speaker 1: berryletta thank you enough you subject he kept an apartment
- 54:11Speaker 1: for years. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm thirty seven years old
- 54:15Speaker 1: and my husband is forty five. We've been married for
- 54:19Speaker 1: eight years, and he's been lying and keeping things from
- 54:22Speaker 1: me the whole time. When we started dating, he was
- 54:26Speaker 1: living in a two bedroom apartment and it was the
- 54:28Speaker 1: ultimate bachelor pad. I was living with my mother because
- 54:32Speaker 1: she insisted that I stay there until we got married.
- 54:36Speaker 1: Right after the wedding, we bought a historic ranch home
- 54:39Speaker 1: that needed a few upgrades. His lease was not up yet,
- 54:42Speaker 1: so we stayed in his apartment for five months. When
- 54:45Speaker 1: we finally moved to our own home, we were able
- 54:48Speaker 1: to buy new furniture. He said he was giving his
- 54:51Speaker 1: old furniture to his nephew. I let him handle that,
- 54:54Speaker 1: and I focused on our new home and fixing it up.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I should have helped him move out of his apartment,
- 55:00Speaker 1: at least monitored where all of its furniture went, because
- 55:03Speaker 1: I recently found out that he didn't move out of
- 55:07Speaker 1: his apartment building. Instead, he downsized to a studio apartment
- 55:12Speaker 1: and moved his sleeper sofa to the new place. I
- 55:16Speaker 1: found out all of this the other night, while we
- 55:19Speaker 1: were at a friend's birthday party. One of the guys
- 55:22Speaker 1: got drunk and started reminiscing about my husband's cool creep spot,
- 55:27Speaker 1: and I could hear him. They all tried to shut
- 55:30Speaker 1: him up, but that made it worse. There was no
- 55:34Speaker 1: way around it, so my husband confessed that night. He
- 55:38Speaker 1: told me that he used the studio apartment as an
- 55:41Speaker 1: Airbnb until twenty twenty one, and he made a lot
- 55:45Speaker 1: of money from it. He showed me the account balance
- 55:48Speaker 1: with my name on the account. But all I could
- 55:51Speaker 1: think about were the times he was supposed to be
- 55:54Speaker 1: out of town, And I wondered if he lied and
- 55:57Speaker 1: was really at the apartment. Shouldn't share this type of
- 56:01Speaker 1: info with your spouse? Are there more secrets? Should I
- 56:04Speaker 1: trust him? Wow? What a way to find out about
- 56:11Speaker 1: that apartment that he still had it and everything he
- 56:14Speaker 1: moved to a studio. Yeah, well, just it's coming, it's coming.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Hang on anyway, As I was saying, what a way
- 56:24Speaker 1: to find out? Yes, he should have told you that
- 56:28Speaker 1: he had an airbnb, of course he should have. But
- 56:30Speaker 1: you know how it is when people get drunk at
- 56:33Speaker 1: parties and stuff. They do get to talking now, and
- 56:36Speaker 1: sometimes they know what they're talking about. Sometimes they don't.
- 56:39Speaker 1: In this case, it sounds like he did know he
- 56:41Speaker 1: was talking about. In any event, I think he was
- 56:44Speaker 1: telling the truth because everyone was trying to shut him up,
- 56:48Speaker 1: and he distinctly said creep spot because you heard him,
- 56:53Speaker 1: and that's what made your husband confess. I'll give him credit,
- 56:56Speaker 1: your husband for having those air and B receipts so
- 56:59Speaker 1: you could see him. You can see the account balance
- 57:01Speaker 1: and all that. But he didn't give you any of
- 57:03Speaker 1: the money, and your name was on the account. I
- 57:06Speaker 1: say no, don't trust him, because if he had you
- 57:09Speaker 1: thinking he'd gotten rid of the apartment and he really didn't,
- 57:12Speaker 1: he was using it as a creep spot, you know,
- 57:14Speaker 1: which that's what creep spot means, to cheat and all
- 57:17Speaker 1: of that, then he definitely could be lying about other stuff.
- 57:21Speaker 1: So no, uh no, he's not to be trusted at
- 57:24Speaker 1: this point. Are there any more secrets? They're bound to
- 57:27Speaker 1: be if he kept this big secret again? Should you?
- 57:30Speaker 1: Should you trust him? I say no, Steve, breakup to
- 57:36Speaker 1: make up. That's so we do. First you love me,
- 57:46Speaker 1: then you hate me. That's a game for foods. Surely
- 57:55Speaker 1: breaks up mole relationships with this damn letter. I was
- 58:03Speaker 1: sitting here just waiting to watch her wreck on another home.
- 58:09Speaker 1: She did not let me die break to Oh we
- 58:19Speaker 1: do nothing in here, says the man cheated first you
- 58:21Speaker 1: loved me. I'm about to giving my answer. I'm answering
- 58:28Speaker 1: my question with a love song that's from the Crner
- 58:30Speaker 1: from the Willis Johnson Show back in nineteen ninety one.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Nobody knows what you're talking about. Surely Strump didn't let
- 58:39Speaker 1: them blood, that is it? And I said what I said,
- 58:45Speaker 1: I know Sirley thirty seven year old lady wonderful Lady
- 58:48Speaker 1: and her husband is forty five. That's an eight year difference.
- 58:52Speaker 1: They've been married for eight years. Ironic. I do numbers
- 58:55Speaker 1: like that because I'm always fascinated with them. He's been
- 58:58Speaker 1: lying and keep your things for me the whole time?
- 59:02Speaker 1: Is that new? Nope? Is that the first time? Nope,
- 59:05Speaker 1: hasn't happened in other relationships? Yep? Should it happen in
- 59:09Speaker 1: other relationships? Yep? You can't tell everything. And regardless as
- 59:15Speaker 1: to whether our person whose name adorns these wonderful letters
- 59:21Speaker 1: says this or not. Women don't share everything, and they
- 59:28Speaker 1: know that they can't, but the moment or man don't
- 59:32Speaker 1: share something. Here we go. You love down stinking, trifling, honoring,
- 59:42Speaker 1: no good dog face being, of course, But I just
- 59:49Speaker 1: wanted to say this. I want to apologize to the
- 59:51Speaker 1: men that listen to this show. You have to sweat
- 59:56Speaker 1: while in your car with your wife on the way
- 59:58Speaker 1: to work, dropping her all. I know you've considered skipping
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: over the Strawberry Letter lately due to the turn of
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: events with Shirley being the home killer that she is.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Will be back in my response to try to save
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: this relationship before Shirley says, and I don't have a
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: sp I'm not breaking him. Shirley. Nobody's response coming up
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: in twenty three minutes after the hour. We'll get back
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening to morning show,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: all right, Come on, see let's recap today's Strawberry Letter
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and uh get to your response. He kept an apartment
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: for years is the subject. First of all, I stand
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: by everything I said previous. Today, I will recite the
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: song that's obviously Shirley's motto, break up to make up.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: That's all we do. Because she loved me, then your
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: hate me. That's a game for foods. Shirley is in
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: the middle of doing what she normally does in the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: straw Bay Letter, and I'm gonna sure to see if
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: I could save this Hans relationship. This couple is eight
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: years apart, they've been married for eight years. She claimed
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: that the man has been lying to her the entire time.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: He was living in a two bed room apartment. It
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: was an ultimate bachelor pad. You was living with your
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: mama because your mama said you ain't gonna live with
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: no damn body tyads getting married, so she didn't move in.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: We bought. Then you all got married. You bought up
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: the historic ranch home that needed some upgrades. His lease
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: wasn't up yet, so we stayed in his apartment for
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: five months while he was fixing on the house. I
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: guess when we finally moved into our home we were
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: able to buy new furniture. He said he was giving
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: his old furniture to his nephew. I let him handle that.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I focused on the new house and fixing it up.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I should have helped him move out of his apartment
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: or at least monitored all of his for his furniture.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Went No, you shouldn't know why why while we got
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: to focus on focus on the new house. See you
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: your arm truck quarterback in now, lady, See now you're
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: beating yourself up about something that didn't happen. Why would
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: you have to monitor his furniture where it was when
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you clearly we're busy building up and fixing up the
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: new ranch house, y'all ball, So take this off your
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: plate of weary and concern. That's not at fault, that's
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: not your problem. Wow. I recently found out that he
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: didn't move out of his apartment building, and now he
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: moved out the apartment. He didn't move out the build.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Then he downside to a studio apartment and moved to
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: sleeper sofa to the new place. How you gonna have
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: a place down there and it ain't got no sofa
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: in It makes no sense. So listen to this. I
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: found all of this out the other night when we
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: were at his friend's birthday party. One of the guys
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: got drunk to his ass. Oh we're just drinking, told fool,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: a man, stop all the drink right a cold had
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: apartment for him, had the people to bring him through,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: the bring him through. Then over here through that third one.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: We have some colds up in the room. Fool, shut
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: your damn mother, Shut your damn mother. But they have
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: to be quiet. That's how that's that is. That is
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: how we all met our wives. What amen, be quiet?
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: And I could hear him. They all tried to shut
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: him up, But that made it work. You tell me
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: to be quiet, I would have to be quiet if
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I was knowed about he had it, and he got
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: another one. This is the only one. I won't like
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: it as much because this is a studio. Why do
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: you want to room? Don How we're being at the
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: same time, Na, you're only going that one at a time.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: There's an alway crown. There was nowhere around it. So
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: my husband confessed that night. He told me that he
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: used his studio apartment as an Airbnb into twenty twenty one.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: He made a lot of money from it. He showed
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: me all the account balances with my name on the account.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Thank you man, thank you proof with her name on
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: the account, proving that this studio was an active A
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: B and B. And the reason he moved the sofa
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: down there that was a sleeper was so you can
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: turn something into a bed in that studio and can
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: continue to make this revenue in here. That he had
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: that decency to make sure that you had your name
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: on the account and event that something would have happened
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: to him. That it is a surprising life. Now when
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: you show up and you got all this new furniture.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: How you think he was buying this new furniture the
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: air I do believe it was an Airbnb. He had
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: the receipts to it, and you know he had the
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: airbnb and nothing says he was using it as another pair.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: He was using it as a way to gain alternative revenue.
