- 1:24Speaker 1: The person I'm about the introduction now next is a
- 1:26Speaker 1: person who leads a balanced life and I consider a
- 1:29Speaker 1: very good friend that we've known many, many years. My
- 1:32Speaker 1: next guest is Billboard Magazine Gospel Artists of the last decade.
- 1:36Speaker 1: She's a five time Grammy Award winning artists who believes
- 1:39Speaker 1: that her music heals, encourages, and inspires others to trust
- 1:43Speaker 1: more than themselves. That's important because we're gonna talk about
- 1:46Speaker 1: rashand McDonald when it comes to that, she was recently
- 1:49Speaker 1: seeing performing on the American Idol Finally or former contestant
- 1:53Speaker 1: Michael Wardard. She's a single mom. We're gonna talk about
- 1:56Speaker 1: that entrepreneur with the Simply Orlando Skin Caroline line and
- 2:00Speaker 1: wake Up Your wake Up with Along the Coffee line.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And she also has a handbag line. We're gonna talk
- 2:05Speaker 1: about that as always, she's an entrepreneur. Please walk with
- 2:07Speaker 1: the money, make conversations. You're Linda Adams. Hey, there a
- 2:13Speaker 1: lot to talk to me before I introduced you. Huh yeah,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I know. You know when you never realize how much
- 2:19Speaker 1: you're actually doing until somebody reads what you're actually doing
- 2:23Speaker 1: and it's like, Wow, you're doing a lot, ma'am. And
- 2:26Speaker 1: you are. And I think that's important that people recognize
- 2:29Speaker 1: that because of the fact that, you know, we're in
- 2:31Speaker 1: an interesting time when it comes to females or the
- 2:34Speaker 1: me to step up acknowledge your success. And it's and
- 2:37Speaker 1: it's wonderful because you have a young daughter who's going
- 2:40Speaker 1: off to Howard University campus with these value systems and
- 2:44Speaker 1: social media. She follows in that age group or a
- 2:46Speaker 1: little bit below millennial, but she's a millennial and she's
- 2:49Speaker 1: about to target herself for success. She wants to be
- 2:51Speaker 1: an entrepreneur. How do you balance doing the right things
- 2:55Speaker 1: for yourself as well as for your daughter with all
- 2:58Speaker 1: these aspirations. Maybe too much, too fast, but you can't
- 3:03Speaker 1: stop her from dreaming. Well, here's the thing. You never
- 3:06Speaker 1: want to stop anyone from dreaming. You know, you and
- 3:09Speaker 1: I both know the value of a dream, because what
- 3:12Speaker 1: happens with a dream. It becomes, you know, a full
- 3:16Speaker 1: on idea, It becomes a full purpose, It becomes your
- 3:20Speaker 1: motivation most of the time when you don't have motivation
- 3:24Speaker 1: surrounding you. So you gotta you gotta keep dreaming no
- 3:28Speaker 1: matter what. But the other thing, too, is you've gotta plan.
- 3:32Speaker 1: And that's one of the things that you know, you
- 3:34Speaker 1: taught me years for years. You know, you've got to
- 3:38Speaker 1: plan for your success. It's not enough to say I want,
- 3:43Speaker 1: I want, I want. There are a lot of people
- 3:45Speaker 1: who want it to be. Let's just say as good
- 3:47Speaker 1: as Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant or Lebron James. But
- 3:51Speaker 1: they wanted but didn't have the desire and the inner
- 3:56Speaker 1: strength to do something about it. You don't become a
- 3:59Speaker 1: Michael Jordan without spending five hours a day on a
- 4:03Speaker 1: basketball court, and you just don't. You don't become a
- 4:06Speaker 1: Serena or a Venus without spending five days on a
- 4:09Speaker 1: tennis court. So if you're talking about business, you don't
- 4:13Speaker 1: become a Rashawn McDonald's, Steve Harvey and Oprah Wempley, Tyler
- 4:18Speaker 1: Perry without investigating and investing in yourself. That's important. So
- 4:23Speaker 1: so when she comes to you because you are a
- 4:25Speaker 1: little bit, like I was sing, a single daughter. She's
- 4:28Speaker 1: in college I think two years older than your daughter,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and so I'm I'm famous behind the camera, you're visually famous.
- 4:36Speaker 1: How does that affect your decision making when you comes
- 4:40Speaker 1: to raising your child and also your decision making in general,
- 4:44Speaker 1: because you know, people can see you going a restaurant,
- 4:46Speaker 1: they can see you go in this particular story, they
- 4:48Speaker 1: can see the type of clothes that you wear. Does
- 4:50Speaker 1: that does that impact what you do in everyday life? Well,
- 4:54Speaker 1: it always has, even before the Grammys, even before all
- 4:58Speaker 1: of the accolades, because was raised by parents who said
- 5:02Speaker 1: that your behavior will tell the world exactly who you are,
- 5:07Speaker 1: and so we should say that give people a little
- 5:10Speaker 1: bit background when you say your your the church, let's go,
- 5:13Speaker 1: let's go and go back to the church, when you
- 5:15Speaker 1: were saying, well, before I go to the church, parents,
- 5:18Speaker 1: you know, because my mother, my father, my grandmother, grandfather's. Uh.
- 5:23Speaker 1: They all instilled certain values in us. Number one, we
- 5:28Speaker 1: we are the best there is, but we're not better
- 5:31Speaker 1: than anybody else. And when I say that, it's you know,
- 5:35Speaker 1: you don't put your nose down on anyone, whether it's
- 5:39Speaker 1: the janitor or the CEO, because one day the janitor
- 5:43Speaker 1: may turn into the CEO. You know. So you you
- 5:48Speaker 1: respect and love people. So that's why it's not hard
- 5:51Speaker 1: for me to hook folks when they come up to me.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And so what my mother and my father taught us
- 5:57Speaker 1: is that when you when you desire to do something,
- 6:03Speaker 1: do it the best of your ability. If you can't
- 6:06Speaker 1: do any better than you've done, then hey, that's okay.
- 6:10Speaker 1: But if you have better in you, you better do it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And you better represent this house. And when you walk
- 6:16Speaker 1: outside this house, you better look like you're an atom.
- 6:18Speaker 1: You better sound like you're an atom, and you better
- 6:21Speaker 1: act like you're in if you don't. If you don't,
- 6:26Speaker 1: you're gonna hear from us when you come when you
- 6:28Speaker 1: come home. So it started when I was a kid.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You know, the way I present myself. Never go into
- 6:35Speaker 1: an environment without knowing what environment I'm walking into. I
- 6:38Speaker 1: never go into a room of amazing people without knowing
- 6:42Speaker 1: what those accomplishments of those amazing people. And it just
- 6:45Speaker 1: comes from that. My dad was an entrepreneur himself while
- 6:50Speaker 1: he was coaching, while he was teaching history, while he
- 6:53Speaker 1: was doing all of that, while he was getting his master's,
- 6:56Speaker 1: with having five kids. You know, you it's there's this
- 7:00Speaker 1: level of achievement that's in us. It's in eight. So
- 7:04Speaker 1: if I if I you know, if I walk into
- 7:06Speaker 1: a room and I'm like and I looked all down,
- 7:09Speaker 1: like I'm not expected to be there. You know, when
- 7:12Speaker 1: I walk into a room, I expect people to gravitate
- 7:17Speaker 1: towards me. Not because I'm Alonda Adams a gospel artist,
- 7:20Speaker 1: but because I'm Alonda Adams are humanitarian. Wow. Now here's
- 7:24Speaker 1: there's the interesting thing about you larned the album. I'm
- 7:26Speaker 1: going back to Elonda album the gospel artist before we
- 7:28Speaker 1: get to the humanitarian. Okay, Because you know Michael Jordan
- 7:32Speaker 1: when he goes on the basketball court, you know, he
- 7:34Speaker 1: just look at everybody, go, you know, I'm Michael Jordan's.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Now you're on American Island, you know, just just you
- 7:40Speaker 1: lock down. This is just your arena, this is your right.
- 7:43Speaker 1: How do you feel because you know you can blow
- 7:46Speaker 1: you know you can carry it up to the next
- 7:48Speaker 1: level of them notes As far as confidence, how did
- 7:51Speaker 1: you balance that? You're knowing that you've God has given
- 7:55Speaker 1: you and blessed you with an incredible singing ability. But
- 7:58Speaker 1: it has to be a certain amount of I don't
- 8:00Speaker 1: want to say arrogance, but confidence when you walk out there,
- 8:03Speaker 1: you have to have confidence and arrogance are two different things.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Confidence is knowing that you have prepared yourself for the journey,
- 8:11Speaker 1: You prepared yourself for the assignment, you are prepared for television, radio,
- 8:16Speaker 1: whatever it is. Arrogance is I got this by myself.
- 8:23Speaker 1: So you've got to differentiate between the two. And you know,
- 8:27Speaker 1: sometimes people may see your confidence as arrogance because they
- 8:32Speaker 1: don't know the difference between the two. Well, I definitely
- 8:36Speaker 1: know the difference. I definitely understand that at times, you know,
- 8:39Speaker 1: you don't want to brag, No, not at all. You
- 8:42Speaker 1: just let your you let your talent and uh, you know,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and what is on the inside of you just shine
- 8:48Speaker 1: through and nobody can ever doubt talent. That's true. That's true.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Say that because every time I see you, whether it
- 8:56Speaker 1: was a celebration, or gospel or like on the American
- 8:59Speaker 1: Irons are doing the singing the national anthem, I just go,
- 9:03Speaker 1: she knows she good, she no, she can blow. You know.
- 9:09Speaker 1: It's just like when I see Lebron Jay, I know
- 9:10Speaker 1: what Lebron Ja he's the best basketball player on the court,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and so he doesn't he doesn't have to say it,
- 9:16Speaker 1: but I know, wow, that's the guy I want on
- 9:19Speaker 1: my team. And so if I'm putting together a singing squaw,
- 9:21Speaker 1: a singing squaw, you know, and you know you got
- 9:25Speaker 1: to pick a basketball team, you go, I want I
- 9:27Speaker 1: want that dude, I want her, I want here. You know,
- 9:29Speaker 1: you know she first come over trying to do that
- 9:35Speaker 1: because the acknowledgement of what you do is so incredible,
- 9:39Speaker 1: and you don't get these accolades, these accolades because of
- 9:41Speaker 1: the fact that you are people just like you. It's
- 9:44Speaker 1: because it's a competitive world. And sometimes I have to
- 9:46Speaker 1: bring that back when you're mentioned five Grammys. You know
- 9:49Speaker 1: you gotta we kinda forget. And I felt I became
- 9:53Speaker 1: a victim of that too, because your past, if what
- 9:55Speaker 1: makes your presence and will dictate your future. If you
- 9:59Speaker 1: forget it that success, are you just kind of like
- 10:01Speaker 1: humble enough to say, you know, it was the blessings
- 10:04Speaker 1: and I'm respectful for those moments. I was just like,
- 10:06Speaker 1: you know, in this first break, I wanted to just
- 10:08Speaker 1: talk about a lot of Adams and then impact you
- 10:11Speaker 1: did you did you have on the community and let
- 10:13Speaker 1: people here that that school teacher that's in you, that
- 10:17Speaker 1: natural school teacher in your A lot of people don't
- 10:20Speaker 1: know the educational side of you that has benefited so
- 10:23Speaker 1: many people, not only on stage, but also, like you said,
- 10:27Speaker 1: the humanitarian side of you. See. I brought it back.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I brought it back to your man. Well, well when
- 10:36Speaker 1: we come back, this is what I want to talk about.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I wanna talk about. We're gonna talk about the coffee.
- 10:39Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about skin Caroline, and we're gonna talk
- 10:41Speaker 1: about something that she really tapped into to me on
- 10:44Speaker 1: faith in business, because I was trying to separate the
- 10:46Speaker 1: two and she just she I always remember she she
- 10:49Speaker 1: touched my arm. You know, we're not the school teacher
- 10:51Speaker 1: in you. She touched my arms to reach out. Wait
- 10:53Speaker 1: a minute, you know, because she knew, she knew I
- 10:56Speaker 1: was weigh out there. Way I gotta slow them down.
- 10:58Speaker 1: And so we come back. We're gonna start out the
- 11:00Speaker 1: interview with the faith in business that we're gonna go
- 11:01Speaker 1: into the other areas how you can buy her products online,
- 11:04Speaker 1: follow her on social media. She's the best. And I
- 11:06Speaker 1: also talk about her daughter who's enrolling in Howard University
- 11:10Speaker 1: University this fall. Fantastic. What would you line the Adams
- 11:13Speaker 1: on money making conversations? Cool, that's music means I better
- 11:18Speaker 1: start talking on money making conversations with my good dear friend.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And amazing thirteen years we did uh Celebration of Gospel together.
- 11:28Speaker 1: She was every there every year. That just popped in
- 11:31Speaker 1: my head because that was you know, that was a run.
- 11:34Speaker 1: You know when it was almost because Steve was hosting,
- 11:38Speaker 1: it was like the the Oscars always felt of the
- 11:42Speaker 1: gospel community. Am I overstating that, no, you're not. And
- 11:48Speaker 1: the you know, the presence of you guys also legitimized
- 11:53Speaker 1: and validated the work that we had all been doing.
- 11:57Speaker 1: You know, sometimes you need people who are outside of
- 12:01Speaker 1: your genre, who are absolute fans of what you do,
- 12:05Speaker 1: to come in and tell the world, hey, no, this
- 12:08Speaker 1: is not just supply by night. Gospel is a part
- 12:11Speaker 1: of the American tapestry of music. You cannot cancel it out.
- 12:16Speaker 1: No matter what you're trying to do, you know, you
- 12:19Speaker 1: cannot make it not work in America because what's happening
- 12:24Speaker 1: now is all of the foreign countries and other continents
- 12:28Speaker 1: are embracing gospel music. We pretty much live in Africa
- 12:34Speaker 1: as gospel artists because Africa is so I mean, they're
- 12:38Speaker 1: they're so hungry and thirsty for great music. So we
- 12:42Speaker 1: spend a lot of time over there. And here's another
- 12:44Speaker 1: surprising place that we are where I travel to Asia
- 12:48Speaker 1: a lot, so people who are outside of America appreciate
- 12:55Speaker 1: an American art form more than you know, more than
- 12:59Speaker 1: American and it's like, hey, we got to step up.
- 13:04Speaker 1: And that's true because like I was talking to Stephen
- 13:06Speaker 1: A Smith, you know ESPN, and he's saying that he
- 13:10Speaker 1: is more popularly in China. He said, he's I'm more
- 13:14Speaker 1: popular in China then I'm over here. And so so
- 13:17Speaker 1: when you say that, there's credibility. And he did a
- 13:21Speaker 1: live stream the other day. It was a million Chinese
- 13:24Speaker 1: people long gong when he streamed. When they would interview
- 13:28Speaker 1: in him in China, it's just an amazing Now when
- 13:30Speaker 1: you go out there, you know, you're singing in English.
- 13:33Speaker 1: You know, uh, how does that happen? How does that
- 13:37Speaker 1: work for you? Doesn't? Doesn't, doesn't doesn't the first few times,
- 13:41Speaker 1: did it throw you off? Or you just go out
- 13:42Speaker 1: there and just do you just do your thing. Well,
- 13:45Speaker 1: here's the thing about music, and you know, it's the
- 13:47Speaker 1: same thing with comedy. Whatever touches the heart meets the
- 13:51Speaker 1: heart where it is. And so people feel my heart
- 13:56Speaker 1: when I'm singing. And so whether it's a language barrier,
- 14:01Speaker 1: a gender barrier, it doesn't matter. We come together when
- 14:05Speaker 1: we feel that certain thing that is unexplainable. And so
- 14:12Speaker 1: after a while they're singing with me because they know
- 14:16Speaker 1: the music before I didn't get there. Well, that's a
- 14:19Speaker 1: difference because you gotta be able to tell that joke now.
- 14:22Speaker 1: And so you can. You can, you can sing with
- 14:23Speaker 1: the song that you heard. But if you know that
- 14:25Speaker 1: joke is not gonna be funny, that that's the only separations.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. You can sing all day long.
- 14:31Speaker 1: But if if if you're no singing right, trust me,
- 14:36Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. That's summer. Our first
- 14:40Speaker 1: time I got you on my money making a conversation.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Were in front of a live artists in Houston, Texas,
- 14:44Speaker 1: and we discussing faith. We're talking about cause I'm doing
- 14:47Speaker 1: a series about faith and business because I was I was.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I felt that people put so much in faith they
- 14:53Speaker 1: should really focus and get there. You know, don't your
- 14:56Speaker 1: business and faith is separation, ri Sean, You're smart, but
- 14:59Speaker 1: on this to talk to you, So please explain to
- 15:02Speaker 1: everybody that the values that you are stilled in me
- 15:05Speaker 1: that I did. I tell everybody about today, everybody but
- 15:07Speaker 1: the staff, to let you know that I am clear
- 15:10Speaker 1: understanding that the separation was on the state and you
- 15:13Speaker 1: should embody both of them together and it lead to
- 15:16Speaker 1: more success. Please explain with London. Well, you know, I
- 15:19Speaker 1: gave you the example of the Jewish community. People in
- 15:23Speaker 1: the Jewish faith, they never separate their faith from anything.
- 15:28Speaker 1: But it is only in America where we try to
- 15:32Speaker 1: separate our faith from our everyday life. Our Muslim brothers
- 15:36Speaker 1: and sisters don't separate their faith, you know. And so
- 15:40Speaker 1: when you the difference between a person of faith in
- 15:44Speaker 1: business and a person with with you know, who does
- 15:47Speaker 1: not claim to have faith, because I believe everybody has
- 15:51Speaker 1: to have it. You have to have faith in something.
- 15:53Speaker 1: So I told my daughter, you know, you've got to
- 15:56Speaker 1: have faith in something, whether it's faith in yourself, faith
- 15:58Speaker 1: in your family, or faith in God, whatever you call God.
- 16:03Speaker 1: You know, you've got to have faith that your idea
- 16:06Speaker 1: didn't just come from you, it came from somewhere else.
- 16:10Speaker 1: And so we tried to you know, in America, we
- 16:13Speaker 1: try to separate church, state, business, faith, this and this
- 16:18Speaker 1: and that. But like I told you to, most of
- 16:23Speaker 1: the early church was built by folks who had barber's
- 16:30Speaker 1: shops and lawnmore services and car services, and they were
- 16:35Speaker 1: the pillars of the churches. So they actually built these churches.
- 16:39Speaker 1: So you can't really separate your faith because you've got
- 16:43Speaker 1: to believe in something. And I really like that. I
- 16:46Speaker 1: like that term right there, You've got that's true. And
- 16:49Speaker 1: I told my daughter that the other day. I said,
- 16:51Speaker 1: you gotta believe in something when you're going that. I said,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I'm not asking you to pray, but something has to
- 16:56Speaker 1: motivate you, some faith, some desires, some passion. And she
- 17:00Speaker 1: got it. She got it because I didn't. I want
- 17:03Speaker 1: to keep an open mind with her on anything she
- 17:05Speaker 1: does in life because of the fact that she's growing
- 17:08Speaker 1: up in a different lifestyle where a lot of things
- 17:10Speaker 1: can be questioned through the technology, you know exactly, but
- 17:13Speaker 1: I also took but okay, give it out. But you
- 17:16Speaker 1: think about it. Technology is now technology and science, especially
- 17:21Speaker 1: quantum physics, is now proving that what they call the
- 17:26Speaker 1: unknown or you know, the you know, they call it
- 17:31Speaker 1: the great something you know, uh, that God exists. Right.
- 17:36Speaker 1: So if if you if you meet a quantum physicist,
- 17:39Speaker 1: or if you meet a scientist who tells you that
- 17:42Speaker 1: they have all the answers without applying the God factor,
- 17:47Speaker 1: then then walk away from that scientist. I've never walked
- 17:51Speaker 1: to him, and they won't. Definitely won't. I won't walk
- 17:53Speaker 1: away from somebody I don't believe in, Okay, right because yeah,
- 17:56Speaker 1: because what they're doing is now they're they're they're saying
- 18:00Speaker 1: in the hey, you know, whether you call it the
- 18:03Speaker 1: big idea, the thinking thing, or whatever, it is still God.
- 18:08Speaker 1: It is still that presence that gives meaning to everything.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And so let's go back to business. Why what Why
- 18:18Speaker 1: would I want to do a skin care line? You know,
- 18:23Speaker 1: I didn't grow up thinking, oh, I'm gonna grow up
- 18:25Speaker 1: and do a skin care line. It was because and
- 18:29Speaker 1: you know, this is the basis of most successful entrepreneurs
- 18:32Speaker 1: when you find the need fill it because because there
- 18:37Speaker 1: are probably other people, millions of people, since we have
- 18:40Speaker 1: almost eight billion people on the earth, they're probably millions,
- 18:44Speaker 1: hundreds of millions of people with that same problem. They
- 18:48Speaker 1: just don't have the idea to solve it. With your
- 18:54Speaker 1: skin care line, which it also is your coffee line.
- 18:56Speaker 1: To you, didn't you know you were not there thinking
- 18:58Speaker 1: about doing coffee. You was a school teacher, a mom,
- 19:03Speaker 1: you know, an incredible gospel singer. How do these ideas
- 19:06Speaker 1: or these brands come to you and how do you
- 19:08Speaker 1: filter them? Well, here's the thing about the coffee. This
- 19:11Speaker 1: was really really interesting. I grew up smelling coffee in
- 19:15Speaker 1: my mom's house and my grandmother's house, and and then
- 19:18Speaker 1: finally when I started teaching early in the mornings, you
- 19:22Speaker 1: know you're getting up that early, you're gonna need something
- 19:24Speaker 1: to motivate you. So I would make the coffee in
- 19:27Speaker 1: uh in the teacher lounge. And I would find that
- 19:31Speaker 1: there were certain coffees that you purchase or that you
- 19:35Speaker 1: would have at different places. Some of them were bitter,
- 19:39Speaker 1: some of them would bite you back. But I'm like, Okay,
- 19:45Speaker 1: there has to be a way to get a smooth
- 19:48Speaker 1: cup of coffee without all the acid and without all
- 19:51Speaker 1: of the things that you know they're saying is in
- 19:54Speaker 1: coffee that could harm you. And I'm like, let's do this.
- 19:58Speaker 1: And so that's how that came about. And and and
- 20:02Speaker 1: again with the skin care line. The older I got,
- 20:06Speaker 1: the dryer my skin got, and although I was drinking
- 20:09Speaker 1: tons of water, So I'm like, this has to be
- 20:12Speaker 1: hormonal or physiological. So I got with a chemist who
- 20:17Speaker 1: had worked on some of the most amazing brands in
- 20:22Speaker 1: the world. So I called out a bunch of them.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Folks will be like, oh he did that, Yes, he
- 20:28Speaker 1: did that, and he also did mine, which gives me credibility.
- 20:32Speaker 1: That's another thing you need in business to You need
- 20:34Speaker 1: credibility because the credibility will take you a long long way.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Even if you don't have a name brand like mine.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I do want to purchase your product. You can talk
- 20:46Speaker 1: about the coffee and we're talking about right, Yes, well,
- 20:50Speaker 1: you can go to Yolanda Adams live dot com and
- 20:53Speaker 1: that will send you everywhere. We are about to do
- 20:56Speaker 1: a big, big push on Amazon within the next within
- 21:00Speaker 1: the next three weeks. Yeah, we're gonna have commercials. We're
- 21:03Speaker 1: gonna have all kinds of stuff. And also you're gonna
- 21:07Speaker 1: be able to purchase everything from the skincare to the
- 21:11Speaker 1: coffee to the handbag line. I mean, we have, we are.
- 21:17Speaker 1: We're just so excited. You know. God never puts people
- 21:20Speaker 1: in your path for you not to learn something from them.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I've learned so much from you about not giving up
- 21:27Speaker 1: just because one door closed. There you go, there you go.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Now Ilet'll tell you something. I want to thank you
- 21:31Speaker 1: for that, and I wonder I appreciate it because of
- 21:33Speaker 1: the fact that I always believe that if you have
- 21:38Speaker 1: a plan and you do it consistently, then then everybody
- 21:41Speaker 1: will understand that you live. You walk a different path.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I see. The inconsistency is when people will say you're
- 21:47Speaker 1: done or say that you oh, you're not ahead of
- 21:51Speaker 1: the curve anymore. When I see you on the American Isold,
- 21:53Speaker 1: I go, that's my girl. Yeah, because that's a brand bill,
- 21:57Speaker 1: that's Whoa. That's your lot though, because you got to
- 21:59Speaker 1: stay out there in the front, in front of the ignorance.
- 22:01Speaker 1: I always say my staff always, you want to stay
- 22:04Speaker 1: ahead of the ignorance. You stay ahead of the ignorance.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Guess what. Ignorance will recognize you and tell you that
- 22:10Speaker 1: you're you're you're a champion, that you really are. And
- 22:12Speaker 1: when I think about what you're doing with this, you
- 22:15Speaker 1: gotta make sure I'm a part of the Amazon launch.
- 22:18Speaker 1: That's what relationships are about. Don't don't don't let me
- 22:21Speaker 1: slip past this and like, have me a commercial or
- 22:24Speaker 1: put it in because I got I got a little
- 22:26Speaker 1: fan club now two and forty thou members. I will
- 22:30Speaker 1: send it out. I will send out your notice to
- 22:32Speaker 1: say click here and buy, you know, put on social media,
- 22:36Speaker 1: money making conversation platform. That that's what this show is
- 22:39Speaker 1: all about. Conversation is about giving friends, family, mentor retise
- 22:45Speaker 1: opportunity to come on my show and a lot of
- 22:47Speaker 1: their brand to be shopped, talked about, discussed, and also
- 22:51Speaker 1: give the information to other people that they can win too.
- 22:53Speaker 1: That's the big is the key right there. My success
- 22:59Speaker 1: is not just for me and Taylor or my family.
- 23:02Speaker 1: My success is for that young man or that young
- 23:05Speaker 1: lady who says I don't know if I can do this.
- 23:08Speaker 1: My success is for someone who has been trying for
- 23:12Speaker 1: years and they're saying, well, you know, I know this
- 23:17Speaker 1: idea is great, but nobody's listening to me. I gave
- 23:21Speaker 1: an interview to Black Enterprise last year, and I said,
- 23:26Speaker 1: I have the privilege because some people would see it
- 23:30Speaker 1: as a downfall or as you know, a you know
- 23:34Speaker 1: something that that's like an obstacle. But I had the
- 23:37Speaker 1: privilege of being told no at least four times. And
- 23:44Speaker 1: the thing about no is that it's not permanent. No
- 23:48Speaker 1: just indicates that that person or that company or that
- 23:52Speaker 1: bank or that uh financial person is not the person
- 23:57Speaker 1: that's supposed to be in relationship with you. Becau us.
- 24:00Speaker 1: You already know money is a relationship and money can change.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Money can change people's attitudes towards you. Well, all is
- 24:10Speaker 1: that landon live dot com? Go there on three weeks.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Three weeks, You're gonna be sending me commercials and I'm
- 24:18Speaker 1: gonna put them in my newsletter and I'm gonna send
- 24:20Speaker 1: it out specifically for your brand. You know, his family,
- 24:23Speaker 1: that's how you treat family. And you tell your daughter
- 24:25Speaker 1: a shout out or Howard University campus, all of how
- 24:29Speaker 1: university people. You know, she's uh graduate of Texas University,
- 24:34Speaker 1: correct HBCU school, she's allegenate graduate. And I did my
- 24:39Speaker 1: did my master's study at Howard University. Team, I want
- 24:44Speaker 1: to thank you Lynda Adams for being on my show.
- 24:46Speaker 1: She's a friend, she's a family member. She's one of
