- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all all looking back to back down, giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them just like the milling bus things. And it's not true.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Good Steve Hartley, I don't join Jo. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn. You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn love,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn out. Then turn the water the water. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your back, I sure will. Good morning everybody,
- 2:05Speaker 1: y'all listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: One and only Steve hargins Man, old man, got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show. Yeah, I do. God so big to me, man,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I just have to tell you about it. I can't
- 2:17Speaker 1: help it. It's rather obvious to me how big, how
- 2:21Speaker 1: good God is. He's absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain.
- 2:27Speaker 1: He owned one, he'd be clowning, he'd be just showing out. Man.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm just over here, just on receiving it. You know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: if you're out there, start your mission today, Start your
- 2:43Speaker 1: mission today? What are you waiting for? Why do we
- 2:49Speaker 1: as people delay what we want or delay the process
- 2:58Speaker 1: to begin what we want? Our hopes, our dreams, our desires.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Why won't you start your mission today? Why don't we
- 3:07Speaker 1: all decide together that just individually. Look, you're listening. You
- 3:14Speaker 1: got something that you've been dreaming about. You got an
- 3:16Speaker 1: ambition of yours that's not yet fulfilled. You got goals
- 3:20Speaker 1: you haven't accomplished yet. Everybody has them. Everybody's got them.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Everybody's got something that's that's on the table that they
- 3:29Speaker 1: haven't yet attacked yet. What are you waiting for? Start
- 3:32Speaker 1: your mission today? Stop the procrastination. Now. The procrastination is
- 3:38Speaker 1: only hurting you yourself. If you got a goal or
- 3:42Speaker 1: aspiration to dream and you fall off track momentarily, you
- 3:47Speaker 1: can get back to that because God knows where you're
- 3:50Speaker 1: left off. Now. You may have to accomplish a few
- 3:53Speaker 1: more things since you stop for a long period of time,
- 3:56Speaker 1: but God know where you left off. You can get
- 3:58Speaker 1: back on track. I look, man, this dream of being
- 4:01Speaker 1: on TV since I was a kid, and it got
- 4:04Speaker 1: off track. Now it got off track. I just kept
- 4:08Speaker 1: it as one of the dreams, and in some real
- 4:10Speaker 1: dog moments when it looked like it wasn't gonna happen,
- 4:14Speaker 1: all I was hanging on too was just the hope
- 4:17Speaker 1: that one day it could. But that's what faith is
- 4:20Speaker 1: really about. Faith is the belief in things that you
- 4:23Speaker 1: cannot see. But faith gives you the confidence to keep hoping. Man,
- 4:29Speaker 1: sometime it just keep hope alive. Sometimes, you heard Jesse
- 4:33Speaker 1: Jackson said, just keep hope alive. Sometimes, Man, it's just
- 4:36Speaker 1: the hope. I was hanging on the hope. And I'm
- 4:41Speaker 1: talking about when it got real ugly and funky out
- 4:44Speaker 1: there for me, when it looked like I wasn't gonna
- 4:46Speaker 1: ever make it, and all of the facts was in
- 4:50Speaker 1: and everything pointed in the direction you're not gonna make it.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You didn't really messed up this time. Then I sat
- 4:56Speaker 1: there and I just hung on to the hope. But man,
- 5:01Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. If you got a dream on
- 5:04Speaker 1: aspiration of vision or something, when you fall off track
- 5:08Speaker 1: and you want to go get back in line, God
- 5:10Speaker 1: holds your place. See he held on to that fum me.
- 5:15Speaker 1: He knew I was off tracking how the line, but
- 5:17Speaker 1: he said, Okay, here's where we stopped. You want to
- 5:20Speaker 1: be on TV that when you get it together and
- 5:22Speaker 1: you quit tripping and you come in your turn to me,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna hold your place, put you back in line.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Then we're gonna finish your journey. That took me a
- 5:28Speaker 1: lot longer to get here than I wanted to. But
- 5:31Speaker 1: then it was necessary because I needed all of the
- 5:33Speaker 1: mishaps to happen to me along the way. So when
- 5:36Speaker 1: I got on the radio one day, which I did
- 5:38Speaker 1: not see coming, Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all.
- 5:41Speaker 1: That's why I say it every day. See, because of
- 5:43Speaker 1: this radio show that I didn't see coming. Now I
- 5:46Speaker 1: have stories to tell, I got experiences to share, and
- 5:51Speaker 1: I can tell you about me better than I can
- 5:53Speaker 1: tell you about anybody. And I've been through enough where
- 5:57Speaker 1: it's relatable, where enough people can go. Man, that happened
- 6:01Speaker 1: to me, appreciate you saying that that's what it was for. See,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I get it now. See at the time, though I
- 6:06Speaker 1: didn't like what was happening to me. At the time,
- 6:09Speaker 1: I was really in total disagreement with God on a
- 6:12Speaker 1: lot of stuff he was pulling off on me, But
- 6:15Speaker 1: in essence I was really pulling it off on myself.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But through his grace and mercy, he kept me through
- 6:20Speaker 1: all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations,
- 6:26Speaker 1: all my misfires, all the times I knowingly stepped out
- 6:30Speaker 1: there indeed wrong he forgave me. He said, because, man,
- 6:34Speaker 1: if you ever come to me, I have a plan
- 6:38Speaker 1: for you that it's going to be far and above.
- 6:41Speaker 1: It will supersede everything you've ever dreamed of. That's what
- 6:45Speaker 1: I did. I just got sick of me, good and
- 6:49Speaker 1: sick of me, and I turned it over to God.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And then God started working and here I am today.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Now see threw it me yet? Nope? Have I arrived?
- 7:00Speaker 1: I jet? Nope? But guess what the journey is cool?
- 7:05Speaker 1: You know, It's like I was talking to this young
- 7:06Speaker 1: brother the other day about comedy and he's really good
- 7:10Speaker 1: stand up. You know, this young dude is really good.
- 7:13Speaker 1: He said, Man, what is this I feel every night
- 7:16Speaker 1: before I go on stage. I don't know what it is.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I just wanted off me, I said, sir, listen to me,
- 7:23Speaker 1: you young dude. This thing that climbs on my back
- 7:27Speaker 1: every night before I go on stage. I don't know
- 7:29Speaker 1: what it is. It's got something to do with pressure,
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's got something to do with anticipation. It's got a
- 7:36Speaker 1: whole lot to do with the fear of falling. He said,
- 7:38Speaker 1: what you mean by that? I said, every night I
- 7:41Speaker 1: walk out on stage, it's like I'm about to go
- 7:44Speaker 1: and step off a cliff. I said, it's a sickening feeling.
- 7:47Speaker 1: He said, man, but you do so well. I said,
- 7:50Speaker 1: that's because the parachute opens. I say, but I want
- 7:53Speaker 1: you to understand something. When I first walk out there,
- 7:55Speaker 1: it's just stepping off the cliff. Now, these joe provide
- 8:00Speaker 1: a parachute which slows my descent when I jump off
- 8:05Speaker 1: the cliff, and I turned it into a glide. And
- 8:08Speaker 1: then I take the audience this way and I swing
- 8:10Speaker 1: them back over that way. We might swing out to
- 8:13Speaker 1: the Colorado Rockies. We may go down to Miami with
- 8:17Speaker 1: this joke. We may take it on out to LA
- 8:19Speaker 1: and I just swing back and forth till I land softly.
- 8:22Speaker 1: The crowd cheers. The night is over with, I said,
- 8:26Speaker 1: but it's been too many nights though. When I walked
- 8:28Speaker 1: off that cliff and I pulled the cord and the
- 8:30Speaker 1: parachute didn't open, I said, Now I'm just free falling
- 8:34Speaker 1: out there for thirty minutes. Ain't no jokes working. Ain't
- 8:37Speaker 1: the parachute didn't open. I said, So see that's what
- 8:40Speaker 1: it's like for me. And then you know what I
- 8:43Speaker 1: found out. If you don't walked off the cliff in life,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and you ain't got no God in your life. It's
- 8:49Speaker 1: like not having a parachute. You step off the cliff
- 8:53Speaker 1: and you just free falling. Now see we all Now
- 8:57Speaker 1: that fall gets you closer to the grave, right, see
- 9:00Speaker 1: all heading to the grave from the moment we're born.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But the cool thing about a relationship with God is
- 9:05Speaker 1: when you step off the cliff and you got God
- 9:08Speaker 1: here a parachute. You're still going down, but it's a
- 9:12Speaker 1: nice ride, and God just helps your your descent appear
- 9:16Speaker 1: more like a rise and then more like a euphoric fall.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Instead of not having no God in your life and
- 9:23Speaker 1: you just walking off that cliff every day, free falling.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Ain't got no core, you steady pulling, you hauling the
- 9:30Speaker 1: whole way because you messed around with yourself and ain't
- 9:33Speaker 1: let God come into your life and provide a parachute
- 9:36Speaker 1: for you. I would rather have a parachute since I
- 9:39Speaker 1: got to jump every day than to not have one.
- 9:43Speaker 1: God has been like a parachute from me. Ask me
- 9:47Speaker 1: why where that came from. I can't tell you, But
- 9:50Speaker 1: like I always say, most good things that happened in
- 9:53Speaker 1: my life that I can't explain. It's usually him. You're
- 9:57Speaker 1: listening tow. Ladies and gentlemen, here we are to Steve
- 10:03Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show is live again. Good morning, everybody. Get
- 10:07Speaker 1: ready and prepare yourself to have a blessed date. Live
- 10:11Speaker 1: your life today in expectation that God is going to
- 10:14Speaker 1: do something for you today, as he already has. Seeing this,
- 10:18Speaker 1: how you've awakened. Okay, so now that that is accomplished,
- 10:23Speaker 1: that's a great, big thank you Lord, right down. So
- 10:28Speaker 1: now let's just expect him to do some other things
- 10:30Speaker 1: for us. Live your life in expectation and in watchful
- 10:34Speaker 1: anticipation of what that God we serve can do for you.
- 10:39Speaker 1: That's how I live my life. I suggest you try that.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It's a wonderful way to live because something usually always
- 10:46Speaker 1: happens when you proclaim it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is
- 10:52Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Make no mistakeful body. Hum humph,
- 10:57Speaker 1: you know I'm talking about Charley's Jark. Hey, good morning, Steve.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I feel like it today too. Colin Ferrera, you're sounding good.
- 11:06Speaker 1: What's up, boss man? Pipper ain't easy, but somebody you
- 11:11Speaker 1: got to do it. Speaking of Pimper, here's the voice
- 11:15Speaker 1: that could have better Pimp ladies. Jentimy Junior morning up.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yeah your voice back you strong now? Yeah? Yeah yeah Tommy,
- 11:27Speaker 1: tom big dogging dog in the l David Yo. Yes, folks.
- 11:33Speaker 1: We often had this conversation off as on this Morning
- 11:36Speaker 1: show because, according to Tommy and a couple of the
- 11:42Speaker 1: Morning Show people that I won't mention have oftentimes questioned
- 11:48Speaker 1: the route that I took to have the achievements that
- 11:52Speaker 1: I have based on the limited limited tech skills and
- 12:00Speaker 1: all actual grasp of the English language, and so lack
- 12:07Speaker 1: of grasp of the English language, spelling and tech savviness
- 12:12Speaker 1: has caused them to doubt and question how I got here. Yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 1: it's just it's it's just, you know, the wonder of
- 12:23Speaker 1: the world that Tommy, because like, okay, i'll tell you.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I'll tell you what started one day. You know how
- 12:32Speaker 1: you be writing and you'd be texting and you get
- 12:34Speaker 1: stuck on a little simple word. The word was wood
- 12:38Speaker 1: and I was cool and not just saying hey man.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Just we was off the on commercial break and I said,
- 12:45Speaker 1: hey man, how you spell words? And you know that
- 12:50Speaker 1: at that that little reaction from the peanut gallery was
- 12:56Speaker 1: so Tommy said, what route did you you take? How
- 13:01Speaker 1: the hell you make it? We're sitting up here here
- 13:05Speaker 1: here a leader, and he can't spel great letter. You
- 13:11Speaker 1: couldn't spail, ma'am. Yeah, yeah, I still struggle with that, ma'am.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Here kind of trick you gotta admit. All Right, we
- 13:22Speaker 1: come back. I'm gonna tell you how I did it
- 13:23Speaker 1: if you want. All right, we'll have more of the
- 13:25Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this. You're
- 13:29Speaker 1: listening to Steven Show. Christmas is fast approaching. We all
- 13:34Speaker 1: know that time to get the toys together. However, the Elves,
- 13:38Speaker 1: I didn't know this. The Elves are on stripe and
- 13:42Speaker 1: you got here with some grievances. Uh, guy, I got this.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I'm gone hand the listening myself because it's something that
- 13:50Speaker 1: I'm I'm good at doing because I'm a former union man.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Elves Elves have decided it came to me with a
- 13:59Speaker 1: lot of complaint and I'm being they representative. Now. We
- 14:02Speaker 1: wanted Timmy to stand up for them, but then he
- 14:06Speaker 1: was already standing up. They went, we need somebody that's
- 14:13Speaker 1: standing up for it, that look like they actually standing.
- 14:16Speaker 1: So I said I would do it. The elves of
- 14:19Speaker 1: this year are going on strike. Well they haven't gone
- 14:24Speaker 1: on yet, but they're threatening to go on strike. The
- 14:26Speaker 1: elves and wanting to sit out this year. Santa Claus
- 14:30Speaker 1: is having trouble because he's trying to talk to these
- 14:33Speaker 1: damn elves about their concern So I'm here with their
- 14:38Speaker 1: grievances and I want to start by saying, these are
- 14:42Speaker 1: the elves grievouses, and I will be preparing these statements
- 14:46Speaker 1: on behalf of the Ill Foundation. We the elves who
- 14:52Speaker 1: work at the North Pole, are requesting the following changes.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Please show your support through I wear site www dot
- 15:02Speaker 1: help elves dot com. If you're gonna help the elves,
- 15:08Speaker 1: help elves dot com, tell me don't act like you don't.
- 15:12Speaker 1: So you know, we all the complaints that the elves have,
- 15:23Speaker 1: and here we go. Number one problem that they have
- 15:26Speaker 1: it We the elves would like to stop making these
- 15:30Speaker 1: damn wooden toys. Don't no kid won't no damn wooden toy.
- 15:38Speaker 1: And we've been making them for years. Okay, ain't nobody
- 15:43Speaker 1: asks them now? When he wouldn't wheels, he wouldn't pad lock,
- 15:48Speaker 1: they got real toys now. Secondly, we the elms are
- 15:52Speaker 1: requesting to have a casual Friday. So when we ain't
- 15:57Speaker 1: got a wit these stupid ass uniform tight ass pants
- 16:02Speaker 1: with the pointed hats, we want to casual frid voicing
- 16:08Speaker 1: the concerns and elves have and considered on going on strike,
- 16:12Speaker 1: and they wanted me to convey this to set a
- 16:14Speaker 1: class and everybody list. We the Elves would like to
- 16:18Speaker 1: request a thirty minute smoke break. They we smoke, and
- 16:27Speaker 1: then we want to be able to go outside and
- 16:30Speaker 1: smoke whatever we want as it's legal, and try making
- 16:37Speaker 1: these cards without it. Elves don't get high. Here's the
- 16:44Speaker 1: next complaint on behalf of the Hells Elves. We the
- 16:47Speaker 1: Elves have voted to eliminate bring your kids to work there.
- 16:55Speaker 1: The truth of the matter is elves really don't like kids. No,
- 17:03Speaker 1: we don't damn that because they think we kids too,
- 17:08Speaker 1: just because we shot, get your damn hands off for me,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I drove here into slate. Next complaint that they have
- 17:24Speaker 1: we the Elves are uncomfortable wearing knees damn funny toe shoes.
- 17:31Speaker 1: That heard that he didn't get. We want Crocs to
- 17:37Speaker 1: be the new official els shop. Crocs and Gators to
- 17:44Speaker 1: be the new el shop the Elves I'm doing complain
- 17:49Speaker 1: that you don't act like you ain't with them. You
- 17:53Speaker 1: trying to add a complaint, don't you at Elves and
- 17:58Speaker 1: Pilgrims had the same Do you know that I'm not
- 18:06Speaker 1: I'm not well, let's quit playing this game. Next complaint,
- 18:14Speaker 1: We the elves do not like Elves shirts and pants.
- 18:18Speaker 1: They ain't got no damn pockets, and we want to
- 18:21Speaker 1: start using fanny pack so when we go outside to
- 18:29Speaker 1: take our smoke break, we'll have our stuff with it.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Next complaint. We the elves understand that we on the
- 18:39Speaker 1: North Pole, but some of the younger elves wants to
- 18:43Speaker 1: cut back on the heat being so high all the
- 18:46Speaker 1: time in the workshop. The older elves is fine, you
- 18:53Speaker 1: swear old people match. We the Elves, would like to
- 19:03Speaker 1: assign ten elves each year to ride around with Santa,
- 19:07Speaker 1: because we think it's unfair that we make all the
- 19:10Speaker 1: damn toys and we don't ever get gone on one
- 19:14Speaker 1: fat ass just be packing up the slid with the rain.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Damn we made the toy. Hit us go a couple
- 19:23Speaker 1: more quickly. We the els, we still love miss Claus
- 19:27Speaker 1: and we know she's very nice and she's never too
- 19:29Speaker 1: busy to bend down and give us a hook. But
- 19:32Speaker 1: we still would like to know exactly what does she
- 19:37Speaker 1: do up here? The cooks for everybody. We ain't had
- 19:44Speaker 1: nothing from her. We got the keel at last, were
- 19:49Speaker 1: not leaves. We the ales support the me too movement.
- 19:53Speaker 1: That's real strong up here, and some of the female
- 19:57Speaker 1: els are requesting that Santa frame from saying ho ho
- 20:02Speaker 1: ho ho that note. We're gonna go up next. You're
- 20:16Speaker 1: listening show right now. The nephew is here to run
- 20:22Speaker 1: that brank back. What you got, new hine for a
- 20:25Speaker 1: pizza delivery? Now, everybody likes pizza, don't they? Who doesn't?
- 20:32Speaker 1: But even people in prison like pizza. Let's go here.
- 20:35Speaker 1: It is pizza delivery, you know pizza man? I help
- 20:40Speaker 1: you za? Okay? You all for me? Please? Yeah? Yeah,
- 20:45Speaker 1: all right? Okay, So about this? So can I take

- 34:03Speaker 1: looks of pity from people, But really it can be cool.
- 34:06Speaker 1: It can if you're single. Uh what being single for
- 34:09Speaker 1: the holiday? Yeah, and don't look the people. You need
- 34:11Speaker 1: to find somebody, get boot up, don't. I'm telling you

- 34:20Speaker 1: wake up, oh Christmas Day, by yourself. Ain't no noise
- 34:23Speaker 1: in another room. Well, there are a lot of things, junior,
- 34:26Speaker 1: that single people can do that someone with a significant
- 34:29Speaker 1: other can't. Guys, here are ways the singles have it
- 34:31Speaker 1: better during the holidays. Check it out, junior. No fights
- 34:34Speaker 1: waiting to happen. Someone's a good thing. Yeah, that's a
- 34:37Speaker 1: great thing. Or break up. You know a lot of
- 34:40Speaker 1: people break up over the holidays. You don't have to
- 34:42Speaker 1: worry about that. Can't, can't break up. If you ain't
- 34:44Speaker 1: gotten nobody by yourself. Yeah, you don't have to buy
- 34:47Speaker 1: a lot of gifts. Think about it. You ain't getting noney. Okay,
- 34:52Speaker 1: I'm just looking at the bright side of this. There

- 35:12Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, but you need to find somebody house.
- 35:17Speaker 1: And then here's a good one. New Year's Eve, you

- 35:23Speaker 1: in the New Year's by yourself? When when you do,
- 35:27Speaker 1: when you do blowing that horn, don't nobody here, don't nobody.
- 35:37Speaker 1: You can focus on just yourself bringing in the new year. Okay,
- 35:41Speaker 1: but you couldn't do that the year before because you
- 35:44Speaker 1: still buy your And we're looking at the positive sight
- 35:49Speaker 1: of being single, Steve, that's all. No, there's there's no positive. No,
- 35:54Speaker 1: you don't think so you need to find somebody. I

- 35:58Speaker 1: didn't go home when I moved Atlanta, right when I
- 36:00Speaker 1: woke up and there was nothing, no nothing, no food,
- 36:04Speaker 1: no no I called home. I heard all that joy
- 36:08Speaker 1: and laughter and getting passed around on the phone. Ain't fun?
- 36:13Speaker 1: Who is that? All the damn questions I'm coming in?
- 36:16Speaker 1: Who is that? Let me talk to who coming in?
- 36:19Speaker 1: What y'all doing it? Now? Who is that? Who is that? Now?
- 36:23Speaker 1: Is that the doubt? What? Baby? Is that? What y'all
- 36:26Speaker 1: look at that? You don't want to do that? Wow?
- 36:29Speaker 1: I like all of that yourself? You like being by
- 36:37Speaker 1: yourself during the holidays? No, Jay, Yeah, listen, that's what
- 36:41Speaker 1: it sounds. So what that's what I'm telling about? Okay,
- 36:43Speaker 1: Christmas morning is like what at your house? Listen? Let
- 36:46Speaker 1: me listen. Don't you just love that? No? Pots rattling?
- 36:51Speaker 1: Listen again? You maybe to hit Who isn't that joy?
- 36:55Speaker 1: You got to be lonely away? Pots radling, no noise, No,
- 37:00Speaker 1: let you hear it again? No company at all? Kind
- 37:03Speaker 1: of my house? You ain't in the neighborhood because I
- 37:05Speaker 1: ain't gonna let you in. You know that just in
- 37:08Speaker 1: the neighborhood you out sack because you ain't coming in.
- 37:11Speaker 1: What is it in your house? About your house? All right,

- 37:23Speaker 1: Morning Show. It's Christmas time, right, and a lot of
- 37:28Speaker 1: people take great pains to find the perfect gift for
- 37:32Speaker 1: someone over the holidays because they want to treat their
- 37:34Speaker 1: loved ones to something special. But it turns out that
- 37:38Speaker 1: a lot of people aren't necessarily thinking that way. In fact,
- 37:42Speaker 1: many are really just looking for ways to outgift the
- 37:45Speaker 1: loved ones in their lives. A new survey finds yeah, right.
- 37:50Speaker 1: A new survey finds a sixty one percent of Americans
- 37:53Speaker 1: see gift giving as a way to out gift their
- 37:56Speaker 1: loved ones. Thirty nine percent of people say the person
- 37:59Speaker 1: they are compete eating with, uh see that person as

- 38:10Speaker 1: Uh try to um outgift that they try to outgift
- 38:14Speaker 1: include friends or significant others. I can see that. Yeah,
- 38:18Speaker 1: Uh so I gotta ask you, guys, what is the
- 38:20Speaker 1: worst gift you've ever received? And what's the best gift
- 38:23Speaker 1: you've ever received? Jay, Oh, the worst gift I ever
- 38:28Speaker 1: received was my kids and they got together, all three
- 38:32Speaker 1: of them got together and pitched in on this and
- 38:34Speaker 1: gave me one pair of lime Green sucks. Lime Green
- 38:42Speaker 1: just started against a little recognition back in the day

- 38:54Speaker 1: was it wasn't with a damn back and said lime
- 38:59Speaker 1: walk around. I get bold? Is this? Laugh? Yeah? What
- 39:05Speaker 1: about your junior? Oh my god? You remember back in
- 39:10Speaker 1: school when you just have to trade gifts, you know,
- 39:11Speaker 1: by a gift bread? Yeah, yeah, I ain't got this
- 39:17Speaker 1: Michael night night Rider remote control car. That's the when
- 39:24Speaker 1: I got my gift. I just had plato. I what
- 39:32Speaker 1: the he is this? And then the little boys said
- 39:36Speaker 1: it can do a lot of stuff. He twisted it
- 39:38Speaker 1: and just made a little man. I kicked that little
- 39:40Speaker 1: man over my car? Is what I want? Yeah? Oh
- 39:46Speaker 1: my god, about your nephew. Mine is a little similar
- 39:50Speaker 1: to Junior because it was at school. It was in
- 39:51Speaker 1: grade school. I think it's about fifth grade. And I
- 39:54Speaker 1: I pulled this kid's name and he pull on my name.
- 39:57Speaker 1: So you know, I hadn't done all my joes. I
- 39:59Speaker 1: didn't come some yards. I got him the g I
- 40:02Speaker 1: Joe with the kung Fu grill. I got him a
- 40:05Speaker 1: good joy that's a real toy back in the jahn.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something.
- 40:13Speaker 1: He got me a coloring book that his ass had
- 40:16Speaker 1: been coloring in Miss Johnson's room. You hear me, My
- 40:24Speaker 1: mama beat the hell out of me that They call
- 40:28Speaker 1: that the Mercedes dealership pretty only through the first of all,
- 40:35Speaker 1: it's a sorry gift, but you've been coloring in it already,
- 40:38Speaker 1: all outside the lines to all outside God. All right,
- 40:46Speaker 1: what's the best gift? What's the best gift? Well, I
- 40:51Speaker 1: can tell you the best kid I gave my mom
- 40:53Speaker 1: because I always competed against my sister. I see that.
- 40:57Speaker 1: So the survey is correct. It's true. When my sister
- 41:02Speaker 1: gave my mom, she said, I gave us. I said, so,
- 41:04Speaker 1: what'd you give mom? She said, And it's the first
- 41:06Speaker 1: time I ever heard my sister curse. She said, I

- 41:13Speaker 1: a Christian and don't cuss much at all at all?
- 41:17Speaker 1: She said, I'd be damn, I'd be damn. That's a

- 43:53Speaker 1: to disinfect everything your foot. You're talking about putting my
- 44:00Speaker 1: foot out the door. Yeah, so just for safety, you
- 44:04Speaker 1: stick it. I'm sorry. My name is Milton with Precious
- 44:09Speaker 1: pop Up Pedicure. We do pedicure as we go around
- 44:11Speaker 1: because we know a lot of people can't get out.
- 44:13Speaker 1: So you know, we're small business. We're just trying to
- 44:15Speaker 1: stay afloat right now. So that's but your husband called
- 44:18Speaker 1: in about you know, he called us. He wanted to
- 44:20Speaker 1: get an appointment for you, and but we come to
- 44:22Speaker 1: your house and when you stick your leg out, we'll
- 44:24Speaker 1: do the pedicure, and then you stick the other leg
- 44:26Speaker 1: out and we'll do that one. Melton, honey, sweetheart. And
- 44:29Speaker 1: I know you've seen a lot of feet and you've
- 44:31Speaker 1: done a lot of toes and hands, And let me
- 44:33Speaker 1: tell you something the fun I'm gonna put my feet
- 44:36Speaker 1: out the window. First of all, Well, whichever it is convenient,
- 44:40Speaker 1: the window of the door, I don't care what it is.
- 44:44Speaker 1: If I'm gonna get my feet done, I'm gonna have
- 44:47Speaker 1: my dump my feet done in a chair inside. And
- 44:50Speaker 1: I would be I'd be out of my head if
- 44:53Speaker 1: I put my feet out the window. People don't see
- 44:55Speaker 1: my feet out the window. That is crazy. And I'm
- 44:59Speaker 1: coming correct as a businesswoman. Woman's a man, Milton, I
- 45:04Speaker 1: suggest you just you you tell her that back in
- 45:06Speaker 1: maybe you could do some some buy me and advanced
- 45:09Speaker 1: petty gears like that from my feet? Are you tragile
- 45:13Speaker 1: beautiful to be putting out there? Well? Well, well there
- 45:16Speaker 1: there's lies the problem. Man. And if you don't mind
- 45:19Speaker 1: your your husband, Kelvin is the one that called and
- 45:22Speaker 1: he's the one that says that your feet look a mess.
- 45:24Speaker 1: So that's why we're calling. He's the one that booked
- 45:26Speaker 1: the appointment for you. You know what, My feet are beautiful,
- 45:30Speaker 1: And again, Milton, you know they are they beautiful now?
- 45:34Speaker 1: Since you've been in I'm sorry, use me? Are you?
- 45:36Speaker 1: Are you the person who should be telling me that?
- 45:39Speaker 1: That's how my husband who I will have a conversation
- 45:41Speaker 1: with after this conversation. So I guess my question is, man,
- 45:45Speaker 1: you're saying your feet are beautiful, but are they beautiful
- 45:48Speaker 1: now since they you've been locked up for a month
- 45:50Speaker 1: or so? I mean, evidently you evidently your feet are
- 45:54Speaker 1: scaring your husband because he's the one calling saying, oh
- 45:56Speaker 1: my god, I gotta get my wife's feet done. My
- 45:59Speaker 1: feet are gorgeous, sweet heart. Okay, they're beautiful, the supple,
- 46:03Speaker 1: the beautiful that got a beautiful tone of caramel to them.
- 46:06Speaker 1: They shine at the sunshine. Whether they're policed or not.
- 46:09Speaker 1: My husband will love them whether they're painted clips. Well,
- 46:12Speaker 1: I don't think your husband loves them because he called us. Obviously, Milton,
- 46:17Speaker 1: you're not thinking, and I think you need to check
- 46:19Speaker 1: with your wife, Wendy. Do you know that there's no
- 46:22Speaker 1: reason you should ever have this conversation with a grown
- 46:25Speaker 1: woman about her feet, is what her husband says. I
- 46:27Speaker 1: don't know you, and I'm trying to be as polite
- 46:29Speaker 1: as possible. You will not be stepping into my window,
- 46:33Speaker 1: are you crazy? I'm not gonna come in your window.
- 46:36Speaker 1: You just stick your foot out of the window of
- 46:38Speaker 1: the door, whichever one is convenient for you. Okay, it's
- 46:41Speaker 1: not that hard. It's gonna fifteen twenty minutes and we're done.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, you are not getting business
- 46:47Speaker 1: fifteen or twenty minutes. Do you know how much time
- 46:49Speaker 1: it takes to get a pedicure done? You know this
- 46:52Speaker 1: is well, this is a pop up this it's a
- 46:56Speaker 1: pop up pedicure. We're down. You're gonna be driving through
- 47:01Speaker 1: with spree wos at this point, I'm not taking that. No, no, no,
- 47:05Speaker 1: no no. And I'm having a conversation with my husband
- 47:07Speaker 1: to never call you again. And I do suggest that
- 47:10Speaker 1: you have a conversation with Wendy, who I don't know,
- 47:13Speaker 1: but I think she would agree with me. Twenty ten
- 47:15Speaker 1: minutes is not long enough. My feet are beautiful, and
- 47:18Speaker 1: don't ever call me again and tell me that you
- 47:20Speaker 1: think for some reason that because my husband told you
- 47:23Speaker 1: that they were bad feet or I needed to get
- 47:25Speaker 1: a petty here, that you have the right to tell
- 47:27Speaker 1: me that you don't know me. And if you do
- 47:30Speaker 1: ever come by my house, I swear to God I
- 47:33Speaker 1: will stick my foot up yours and don't ever ever
- 47:38Speaker 1: trying to bring that up to me again. Don't call
- 47:41Speaker 1: my house. Well, this is what this is what Kelvin
- 47:45Speaker 1: told us, ma'am. Okay, Levin told me what you are
- 47:48Speaker 1: not supposed to tell a woman that. Like I said,
- 47:52Speaker 1: I'm done, I'm okay. Do you want do you want
- 47:55Speaker 1: to know what else Kelvin? Do you want to know
- 47:57Speaker 1: what else Kelvin told us to do? Do you want
- 47:59Speaker 1: to know what else Kelvin told us to do? No?
- 48:01Speaker 1: I don't. Okay, okay, but can I just can I
- 48:04Speaker 1: just please tell you what else Kelvin told us? Then
- 48:08Speaker 1: I'm hanging up. Okay, this is a moment of true
- 48:11Speaker 1: Kelvin gave us a call. He gave me a call
- 48:13Speaker 1: me nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey More on the show.
- 48:16Speaker 1: He told me the prank phone call his wife. No,
- 48:23Speaker 1: I'm serious? Are you serious? Yo? You know what, sweetheart,
- 48:28Speaker 1: You're you are so on car right now, because if
- 48:32Speaker 1: this had actually been the fruit, I would have been
- 48:35Speaker 1: throwing my husband out the door. Excuse my frankness. First
- 48:39Speaker 1: of all, how are how are you doing? I mean
- 48:42Speaker 1: not gonna have you on the phone. Can we have
- 48:44Speaker 1: at heart because I love you. We can have a
- 48:48Speaker 1: heart to heart. How you doing? How are you doing?
- 48:52Speaker 1: How are you doing? Doing this this whole pandemic? How
- 48:55Speaker 1: are you doing? I'm okay, I'm okay, I'm you know,
- 48:58Speaker 1: my feet are looking good. But I've been listening to
- 49:01Speaker 1: you on the dayly and thank you your voice. There
- 49:05Speaker 1: we go. I appreciate I've been staying up to beat
- 49:07Speaker 1: and everything. You've been putting the smile on my face
- 49:09Speaker 1: every day. Um, I feel like there's a new life
- 49:13Speaker 1: here now. You know. Think you're great. I love me
- 49:16Speaker 1: from Cattleman. Let me tell you that I love you too.
- 49:18Speaker 1: I appreciate. Hey twenty twenty, come on, let the nephew
- 49:20Speaker 1: know what's the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 49:23Speaker 1: show in the land. There's nothing better than the Seed
- 49:26Speaker 1: Harvard Morning Show, the bad radio showing the man. Hey Seed, Well,
- 49:37Speaker 1: I'm just trying to help you know what I'm saying
- 49:43Speaker 1: she didn't give a damn yeah, she say if you
- 49:48Speaker 1: she said, if you come by here, I ain't sticking
- 49:51Speaker 1: my foot out the dough. I'm gonna stick my foot
- 49:53Speaker 1: straight up here, keeping my own pedicu. But she loves
- 50:01Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Everybody know. I love y'all.
- 50:07Speaker 1: Listen every morning, y'all getting us through all of this,
- 50:09Speaker 1: so big ups to us. She loves y'all. Man, She's
- 50:11Speaker 1: gonna get that pedicule soon or lady, but she will
- 50:13Speaker 1: not be using to pop up pedicule at out That
- 50:18Speaker 1: sounds to stick your foot out to do. You ain't
- 50:23Speaker 1: got you ain't got to see me. I ain't got
- 50:25Speaker 1: to see shut their foot out there. Let me coming up.
- 50:31Speaker 1: As we mentioned the Strawberry Letters subject one big happy
- 50:34Speaker 1: family or nothing at all. We'll get into it right
- 50:38Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Time now
- 50:43Speaker 1: for today's Strawberry Letter. If you need advice and relationships,
- 50:47Speaker 1: on dating, on work, on sex, on parenting, and more,
- 50:51Speaker 1: please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey f M
- 50:55Speaker 1: and click Submit Strawberry Letter and we could be reading
- 50:57Speaker 1: your letter live on the air and helping you out,
- 51:01Speaker 1: just like we're gonna do for this person right here.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Buggle up, hold on tight. We got it for you
- 51:11Speaker 1: at all, all right, subject one big, happy family or
- 51:17Speaker 1: nothing at all. Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been dating a
- 51:21Speaker 1: man for three years and we get a long great
- 51:24Speaker 1: We've talked about getting married, but we have to work
- 51:27Speaker 1: out a few kinks first. Both of us have teenage
- 51:30Speaker 1: kids from previous relationships, and I spend a lot of
- 51:33Speaker 1: time with his kids. Every other weekend. He is always
- 51:36Speaker 1: around my kids because I have sole custody of them.
- 51:40Speaker 1: We always joke about how his kids like hanging out
- 51:42Speaker 1: with me more than him. If I am doing something
- 51:46Speaker 1: for my kids, I include his kids. I buy them
- 51:49Speaker 1: gifts for birthdays, Christmas, or just because I buy them gifts,
- 51:53Speaker 1: and there's no separation to me. But over the weekend
- 51:58Speaker 1: I have the strangest conversation with my boyfriend about the kids.
- 52:03Speaker 1: He told me that this Christmas he plans to focus
- 52:07Speaker 1: more on his kids and spend quality time with them
- 52:11Speaker 1: alone during the holidays. I was shocked to hear this.
- 52:16Speaker 1: Over the years, he's been good to my kids, but
- 52:19Speaker 1: I do see a difference in how he treats them
- 52:21Speaker 1: and how he treats his own kids. My kids love him,
- 52:25Speaker 1: so I never make a big deal out of it.
- 52:27Speaker 1: The fact that he is trying to make a big
- 52:29Speaker 1: distinction between the kids really hurts my feelings. Blended families
- 52:34Speaker 1: are tricky and we've been trying to make it work,
- 52:37Speaker 1: but this was a harsh reality check. My kids come first,
- 52:41Speaker 1: but I'm able to love his kids as my own.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Now I have doubts about marriage. Am I overthinking this?
- 52:47Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley? What do you think? No, you are not
- 52:52Speaker 1: overthinking anything. I say go with what you see and
- 52:56Speaker 1: what you know, because when people show you and in
- 52:59Speaker 1: this case, tell you who they are, please believe them.
- 53:03Speaker 1: I mean, okay, let's look at the facts. This man
- 53:06Speaker 1: that you've been with for three years told you that
- 53:10Speaker 1: this Christmas he just wants to spend quality time with
- 53:14Speaker 1: his kids alone during the holidays. What else do you
- 53:19Speaker 1: need to hear? It's the holidays, that's the time when
- 53:22Speaker 1: you and your man and kids. You know, you guys
- 53:25Speaker 1: are supposed to spend family time together, not apart. So again,
- 53:31Speaker 1: what else is it that you need to hear? I mean,
- 53:34Speaker 1: he doesn't want to be with you and he doesn't
- 53:36Speaker 1: want to be with you and your kids for Christmas. Okay.
- 53:39Speaker 1: In this relationship, you're all in. You are just everything.
- 53:43Speaker 1: In this relationship, you have accepted as teenage kids. You
- 53:47Speaker 1: spend a lot of time with them, You remember their
- 53:49Speaker 1: birthdays and other special occasions. You buy them gifts and stuff. He,
- 53:53Speaker 1: on the other hand, makes a difference between his kids
- 53:56Speaker 1: and your kids, and you're right. In order for a
- 53:59Speaker 1: blended family to work, you have to show love to everyone,
- 54:02Speaker 1: even if in your heart you love your own kids more.
- 54:05Speaker 1: And I think that's pretty normal to feel that way.
- 54:07Speaker 1: You have a special bond with your kids, you carried
- 54:09Speaker 1: them and all of that. But you know you're fair
- 54:12Speaker 1: and loving on the outside. But your man is not
- 54:15Speaker 1: doing that, and he's not trying to hide it. Even
- 54:17Speaker 1: though you say your kids love him and you haven't
- 54:19Speaker 1: made a big deal out of it, it is a
- 54:21Speaker 1: big deal because he sounds like he has checked out
- 54:24Speaker 1: of this relationship and on his way out of this relationship.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Someone who's thinking of marriage, of marrying you, would not
- 54:32Speaker 1: want to be without you on this Christmas okay, sounds
- 54:36Speaker 1: like he's gonna be with someone else. Steve Well, Shirley,
- 54:42Speaker 1: I have to agree with you. So here we go.
- 54:45Speaker 1: This lady been dating this man for three years, everything
- 54:48Speaker 1: going great, talked about getting married, but they need to
- 54:51Speaker 1: work out some kinks. You know, both of them got kids.
- 54:54Speaker 1: He spends a lot of time, and he's always around
- 54:56Speaker 1: the kids because she got soul custody of them. About
- 55:00Speaker 1: how his kids like hanging out with me more than him,
- 55:03Speaker 1: And then you know, if I'm doing something for my kids,
- 55:05Speaker 1: I include his kids. I buy him gifts for birthdays, Christmas, everything,
- 55:09Speaker 1: no separation to me. But over the weekend he had
- 55:12Speaker 1: a little conversation with my boyfriend about the kids. He
- 55:15Speaker 1: told me, he say this Christmas, he playing it on
- 55:18Speaker 1: focusing more on his kids, spend quality time with them
- 55:22Speaker 1: alone during the holidays. I was shocked to hear that.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Over the years, he's been good to my kids, but
- 55:28Speaker 1: I do see a difference than how he treats them
- 55:30Speaker 1: and how he treats his own kids. My kids love him,
- 55:33Speaker 1: so I never made a big deal out of the
- 55:35Speaker 1: fact that he's trying to make a big distinction between
- 55:38Speaker 1: the kids. Really hurt my feelings, But then the families
- 55:41Speaker 1: are tricky, yes they are, And I've been trying to
- 55:43Speaker 1: make it work. But this is a harsh reality check.
- 55:46Speaker 1: My kids come first, but I'm able to love his
- 55:49Speaker 1: kids as my own. Now I have doubts about marriage.
- 55:53Speaker 1: I'm overthinking this. I think you all got to sit
- 55:55Speaker 1: down and have a conversation. Something is happening where he's
- 55:59Speaker 1: feeling like he's obviously not paying close enough attention to
- 56:03Speaker 1: his own kids. So he decided this year he gonna
- 56:06Speaker 1: spend times with his kids alone. Somebody that said something
- 56:12Speaker 1: to him. He didn't come to this conclusion on his own.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Somebody said something to him. Somebody said, you know what
- 56:20Speaker 1: the kids feel like. You just treat everybody better than
- 56:23Speaker 1: know they come and they feel like you're step children.
- 56:27Speaker 1: Somebody fed this information to him. All one of the
- 56:32Speaker 1: kids said something to him. That's the only reason for
- 56:35Speaker 1: he to suddenly go like this. So he's trying to
- 56:38Speaker 1: prove that that's not true. So he gonna be spending
- 56:42Speaker 1: a lot of time with just his kids alone on
- 56:45Speaker 1: Christmas and he's been with her for three years. Yeah,
- 56:48Speaker 1: I don't know how he think that's gonna be. Yeah,
- 56:51Speaker 1: he been not. Later, he been not say that. Nobody
- 56:54Speaker 1: didn't lay down kids. It didn't lay down. He can't
- 56:59Speaker 1: go to sleep in that house. I can't make that
- 57:02Speaker 1: statement and then go get into bed and star snooze. No,
- 57:06Speaker 1: that's been being a temple on your life. But that
- 57:11Speaker 1: was kind of cold though. I mean, yeah, he plans
- 57:14Speaker 1: to focus more on his kids and spend quality time
- 57:17Speaker 1: with them alone during the holiday. His word, and you
- 57:22Speaker 1: said this. I laughed. All right, Steve, we'll hang on.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Part two of your answer is coming up. Um, we'll
- 57:28Speaker 1: take a short break here and come back at twenty
- 57:30Speaker 1: three after the hours. Subject one big happy family or
- 57:34Speaker 1: nothing at all. You're listening show, all right, Steve, Uh,
- 57:41Speaker 1: this letter is crazy. Let's recap subject one big happy
- 57:45Speaker 1: family or nothing at all. Well, it looked like nothing
- 57:47Speaker 1: at all because he wants to spend this holiday with
- 57:49Speaker 1: his kids, spend more time with his kids alone. That's
- 57:55Speaker 1: time of making your kids have happy Christmases. And my
- 57:58Speaker 1: kids over here, they live stuck out. Now, we're not
- 58:02Speaker 1: gonna do that this ship, Michelle. I want you to
- 58:05Speaker 1: be the wife asking me why we can't have this
- 58:08Speaker 1: Christmas together, and you're gonna be repeatedly keep asking me
- 58:11Speaker 1: about this Christmas, and I'm gonna keep giving you different me. Okay, Well, Honey,
- 58:17Speaker 1: I'm so happy the holidays are here. I can't wait
- 58:19Speaker 1: to spend Christmas with you. I wish I could say
- 58:22Speaker 1: the same. Well, what do you mean we are spending
- 58:25Speaker 1: it together, aren't we? Well, you know, we're gonna spend
- 58:27Speaker 1: it together, but it's gonna be separate. But separate is
- 58:31Speaker 1: not together. Honey, We're gonna spend Christmas together, right, you,
- 58:34Speaker 1: me and the kids. Hey, look, you need to keep
- 58:36Speaker 1: saying the word together. I'm just telling you we're gonna
- 58:41Speaker 1: spend it together. We're gonna be together, but it's gonna
- 58:44Speaker 1: be separate. I want to spend it together, you know, you, me,
- 58:47Speaker 1: the kids, us. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on?
- 58:52Speaker 1: What what kids you talking about? I'm talking about our kids,
- 58:55Speaker 1: my kids and your kids. Non, no, no, See your
- 58:58Speaker 1: kids are your kids, my kid, Me and my kids
- 59:00Speaker 1: gonna spend this holiday together and alone. But honey, we're together.
- 59:05Speaker 1: You know, we're We've been dating for three years now,
- 59:08Speaker 1: and all is all. It's important to you, yes, and
- 59:12Speaker 1: I thought it was important to you that we be together,
- 59:15Speaker 1: but not like this though, you talking about all the
- 59:18Speaker 1: time I'm talking about during the holidays, Yes, honey, I've
- 59:22Speaker 1: planned stuff I've cooked, I've invited people over all of that,
- 59:26Speaker 1: you know, one big happy family. Well, I don't you know, baby,
- 59:30Speaker 1: damn you know, you don't ask me nothing. Well, we've
- 59:33Speaker 1: we've been together for three years. It's kind of a
- 59:36Speaker 1: given that we spend the holidays together. Yeah, but you ain't.
- 59:39Speaker 1: You ain't like, did nothing special for the holidays. I've
- 59:42Speaker 1: been out here lyned people up. So we make our move,
- 59:46Speaker 1: make our move. I thought we were gonna just be together.
- 59:50Speaker 1: We put the Christmas tree up and did the decorations
- 59:53Speaker 1: and everything. Who all hell put your Christmas tree? Let
- 59:56Speaker 1: me ask the kids. Ain't nobody help but talk kids.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: You don't know their name? Calling the land kid couldn't
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: help out? So where ain't nobody helped but the talk
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: excuse me aside? There's an aside, honey, what did you say? Nephews?
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: An't way about hype though, even in the name. They
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: just did. But the shop kids is, what is they doing?
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I don't know what the shop kids they put all
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: ornaments on the bottom of the tree, and they put

- 1:07:28Speaker 1: or so or in the past period. And who is

- 1:10:11Speaker 1: is your stay. He can't get off that either. But
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: she asked to save the Peloton bike for Christmas. Okay,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: well never mind. Yeah, different incomes different, The bracket is different.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: All right. So Stephen and Junior and Timmy, if you

- 1:11:32Speaker 1: sit for at least twenty minutes. All right. Look, everybody
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: can't win natural hair. Everybody can't do that. More something
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: that they can I'm sorry, more ignorant, more Shenanigan's coming
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: up at twenty minutes after the hour on the Steve

- 1:12:03Speaker 1: But this is somewhat forced staycation, maybe a blessing in
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: disguise after a tough year. I mean, why not relax?
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Why not unwind and enjoy your time off, either by
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: yourself or with your immediate family close by. You know,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: your your bubble people, as I like to call them,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: the people in your bubble? You know what I mean?
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Not sure what to do, what to do with it yourself?
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Here's some ideas to help you appreciate staying at home
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: for the holidays. Check it out, Carlin. We talk about
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: this all the time. Catch up on movies that you
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: want to see, shows, yeah, TV, movies, all of that. Okay,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Take long, hot baths, light a few candles, bring in
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: your beverage of choice, a book, play some you know,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: sexy music, some soothing music in the background. Girl, I
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: like yeah, and you know what doctor's orders. Doctor's orders.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: My doctor told me I need more red WAE for
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: my blood. That's right. I was like, uh, And then
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you can clean, you know, clear out some space in
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: your closet or something. It's not fun, but it could
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: be therapeutic, you know what it is for? Yeah, getting organized.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: That could be a resolution of yours too. For twenty
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: twenty one. I like those suggestions Shirley's Staycasion, movies, baths,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: clear out some of your space. I'm probably not gonna
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: do to clear out the space one. I'm probably not
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: gonna do that. And it says bake warm up the
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: kitchen with a batchel of homemade Christmas cookies. Oh okay,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: I know you're not doing that. Mob The Steve Harvey
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up right after this. You're listening to
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: the Steven Show. The stereotype of being single during the
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: holidays usually brings looks of pity from people, but really
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: it can be cool. It can if you're single. What
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: being single for the holiday? Yeah, I don't look to
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: people for you need to find somebody, get boot up.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Don't don't. I'm telling you you need to find someday.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: But wake your ass up house by yourself yet wake up?
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Oh Christmas Day by yourself? Ain't no noise in another room? Well,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: there are a lot of things, Junior, that single people
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: can do that someone with a significant other can't. Guys,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: here are ways the singles have it better during the holidays.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Check it out, junior. No fights waiting to happen. Someone's
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: a good thing. Yeah, that's a great thing. Or break ups.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: You don't a lot of people break up over the holidays.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: You don't have to worry about that. Can't can't break
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: up if you ain't gotten nobody by yourself. Yeah, you
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: don't have to buy a lot of gifts, think about it,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: but you ain't getting none either. Okay, I'm just looking
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: at the bright side of this. There are no mandatory
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: spouse holiday parties you have to attend, but your ass
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: ain't gotten nothing on the stove. You don't have toin't
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: no smells in the house. Okay, here's another one. You
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: don't have to choose which family you're gonna celebrate with.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: There's always a fight about that, you know. Yeah, but
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: you need to find somebody house though, and you don't
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: want your family. And then here's a good one. New
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: Year's eve. You can go in focusing all on you.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: You ever brought in the New Year's by yourself? When
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: when you do, when you do blowing that horn, don't
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: nobody here, nobody here. You can focus on just yourself
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: bringing in the new year. Okay, but you couldn't do
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: that the year before because you still buy yourself and
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: we're looking at the positive sight of being single stick
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: that's all. No, there's there's no positive. No, you don't
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: think so you need to find somebody. I remember the
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: first time we moved Atlanta. First, I didn't go home
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: when I moved Atlanta, all right, when I woke up
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: and there was nothing, nothing, no food, No I called home.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: I heard all that joy and laughter and getting passed
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: around on the phone. Ain't fun? Who is that? All
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: the damn questions? I'm coming in? Who is that? Let
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: me talk to you? Who coming in? What y'all doing it? Now?
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: Who is that? Who are that? Now? Is that the doubt? What? Baby?
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Is that? What y'all look at that? You don't want
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: to do that? Wow? I like all of that. You
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: like yourself, You like being by yourself during the holidays.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: So Jay, yeah, listen, that's what it sounds so what
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: That's what I'm telling. Okay, Christmas morning is like what
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: at your house? Listen? Let me listen. Who isn't that joint?
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: You got to be lonely, a hot rattling, no noise, no,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: let you hear it again, no company at all? Come
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: to my house. You ain't in the neighborhood because I
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: ain't gonna let you in. You know that I don't
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: just in the neighborhood when you outside, because you ain't
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: coming in? What is it in your house? About your house?
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: All right? Coming up, it's Steve Harvey and his closing remarks.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: You don't want to miss it at forty nine after
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: the hour you're listening show. All right, Steve. Here we are,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: guys with the last break of the day on this Monday. Yes,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: it is no more break, say it right, Jay? No, No,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: I mean I said it once, but it's gonna be
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: another break. No, there will be no more damn break.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: So okay, just the last damn number one. It's been
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: a good Monday though, it really has. Yeah, it's great money,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: it has great to be Yes, welcome back, welcome back.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: You know you know what Sureley, you know what I
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: thought about though what I I looked at the whole show.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: I missed you guys, but I thought about something. What
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: do you know, Uncle Steve is the Moses and sick people?
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: What do you mean he leading a bunch of sick people?
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Y'all too? You look, everybody on this show got a problem.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: It ain't just me and Jay. Everybody got a problem
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: with y'all. Just leave. He leave people. He need people
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: with short He leaves bipolar people, Carlo Jay diabetic, I
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: got sick. He needs a bunch of sick people. Is
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: what do you do? Big eyes is not a guy? Yeah,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: the beginning of something. I do not have eyes out
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: that far due to some type of pressure. Really have
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: you always had him open that wine? My eyes have
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: been big since I came from the womb. Okay am
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: I right? Am? I right? Shut up? Junior, all those
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: people to show sick. You mean you the only healthy
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: person we got? Oh no, that's not true. True is
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: the problem? His mind has gone, Junior Solf. The better
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: to see you, my dear. The other day, I was
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: talking about finding the motivation to never give up, because
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: it's such an important thing. Man, Just the fact that
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: you don't quit that you don't give up on your visions,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: your dreams, your goals, your aspirations, and you have to
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: find the motivation to do it. But you also have
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: to remember that doing good is the right thing to do.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: And a lot of times, I know, man, you get
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: tired of doing good because it seems like it's no payoff.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: There's a scripture I was reading the other day, Galatians
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: six nine, and it was saying for us to not
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: become weary in doing good, for at the proper time,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: we will reap a harvest if we don't give up.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: And that's such an important thing, man, because sometimes it's
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: hard to keep doing the right thing, especially when you're
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: being done wrong. It's hard to keep doing the right
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: thing and you don't see the payoff right after you
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: do the right thing. It's hard to do the right
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: thing when everybody else seems to be getting away with
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: something wrong. So it makes it hard to continue to
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: do the right thing. But you have to have the
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: faith that you're doing the right thing, and you can't
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: become weary in doing good, because, like the Bible says,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: at the proper time, you're going to reap a harvest
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: if you don't give up. Do you understand how true
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: that statement is. That's a promise of God that if
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: you don't get tired and stop doing what's good, that
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: eventually you're going to reap of harvest by just not
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: giving up. That is a benefit to doing what's good.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: That is a reward for doing things that's good. You
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: don't know. You have no idea how many seeds you're
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: planning when you do something good you have to. You
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: don't even know where they're gonna crop up, pop up
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: where you're gonna harvest them later. It may not be
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: even in the same field you plan it. I was
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: somewhere one day and I was going down the street
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: and a girl had a flat tire, young girl, and
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: I just thought of one of my daughters. Man, so
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: I stopped. I just happened to be driving that day.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: It was years ago in LA and I stopped and
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I helped this little girl. And she was on side
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: of the road just crying. She had a flat tire.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: She don't know what to do, and so I still there,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: made a phone call, got told truck to come. She
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: didn't have the money. I kind of somehow got it
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: to the tie station. I bought the new ties for
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Boom fixed her up. She went home. She called her father.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: She said, Steve Harvey bought me ties from my car.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I ain't think none of the brother thanked me. Years later,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I was on the golf course years later, I'm talking
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: about like five six years ago, and this happened like early,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: like in two thousand, so probably around twenty fifteen, sixteen
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: something like that. I'm playing golf and this guy comes up,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: Timm and he tells me the story about this girl
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: and it was his daughter. And he just told me
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: about it, and he hugged me. He said, man, I
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: wanted to thank y'all talk to you on the phone,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: but man, we finally meet mouths hoping I'll see you
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: at this tournament. And so he hugged me, and you know,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: didn't think none of it. Next thing, you know, come
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: to find out he worked for a high level company.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: The company calls me and the company wants me to
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: do a deal with him. I signed and did the
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: deal with the company. It was all because one day
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: I stopped and I helped a girl that I just
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: saw in distress because I just thought, man, this could
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: be one of my daughters. On the side, of his role,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: and she told her father, and her father did a
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: deal with me that turned out to be a very,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: very beneficial deal. You can't ever get tired of doing
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: what's right, because in due time you will reap a
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: harvest if you never give up. That's a promise from God.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Keep doing the right thing, y'all. You will benefit from it.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: Those are my closing remarks that said, that's a wrap, y'all.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Have a great weekend. Okay, and tell you Mama near
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: my said he And for all Steve Harvey contests, no
