- 1:06Speaker 7: You got turn I came.
- 1:41Speaker 3: To turn the mouth. Turn you probably got to turn.
- 1:44Speaker 7: Mouth to turn out to turn a wad of the
- 1:47Speaker 7: morning up.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Look me, come.
- 1:58Speaker 7: Come out.
- 1:59Speaker 2: You think.
- 2:02Speaker 8: I show well, good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 8: Come on, dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 8: got a radio show. You know this week, I just
- 2:13Speaker 8: been on it, So today is no different. I'm telling you,
- 2:17Speaker 8: I've just reinvigorated myself. I'm more determined to share the
- 2:22Speaker 8: principles of success. I'm more determined to help and guide
- 2:28Speaker 8: and teach as many people as I can the things
- 2:31Speaker 8: that I've learned. And I mean, man, I've been through it.
- 2:34Speaker 8: I have really been through it. I kid you not.
- 2:36Speaker 4: You know.
- 2:37Speaker 8: I used to say, okay, God, you know, why is
- 2:39Speaker 8: all this happening to me? But as I've gotten older,
- 2:42Speaker 8: I understand that was the ingredients. I needed the ingredients
- 2:47Speaker 8: to be this cake. I needed all those ingredients stirred up.
- 2:51Speaker 8: I need all of that different flavors the stuff that
- 2:54Speaker 8: I didn't think tastes so good. All that stuff had
- 2:57Speaker 8: to come into the bowl in order for me to
- 3:00Speaker 8: get to where I am today.
- 3:01Speaker 2: As much as I did not like the.
- 3:05Speaker 8: Taste of the ingredients, little did I know God was
- 3:09Speaker 8: making this cake, not me. But what he did was
- 3:12Speaker 8: and you've heard the old saying God could turn lemons
- 3:16Speaker 8: into lemonade, Well that's what he was doing now. At
- 3:20Speaker 8: the time, it all had a little funky lemonade lemony
- 3:25Speaker 8: flavor to it, with some other stuff in it too.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I didn't care for it.
- 3:30Speaker 8: But little did I know that I needed everything that
- 3:33Speaker 8: happened to me, that happened to me in the exact
- 3:36Speaker 8: order that it happened, and the exact array of things
- 3:39Speaker 8: that happened for me to have the knowledge I have today,
- 3:42Speaker 8: the experience, the attitude, so I could turn around and
- 3:48Speaker 8: share that information. Okay, got that out the way. This
- 3:53Speaker 8: is what I want to give to you today. I
- 3:55Speaker 8: want you to understand something that discipline determines your destiny,
- 4:01Speaker 8: not your desire. Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 4:08Speaker 8: You've heard me say this how many times on the show. Okay,
- 4:11Speaker 8: here we go against Eeve I got it. Faith without
- 4:14Speaker 8: works is dead. But let me tell you something. To
- 4:18Speaker 8: be a hard worker, you got to be disciplined. That's
- 4:21Speaker 8: one of the hardest lessons I'm trying to get through
- 4:23Speaker 8: to my sons. You're gonna throw yourself down a cliff
- 4:28Speaker 8: if you're not a young man or a man that
- 4:30Speaker 8: possesses discipline. Because they got something for undisciplined people. They
- 4:36Speaker 8: got some street laws for undisciplined people, and they got
- 4:39Speaker 8: some federal laws and state laws for undisciplined people. So
- 4:44Speaker 8: that's why them signs is outside on the freeway, We're
- 4:46Speaker 8: gonna let you go fast, but.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Seventy is the limit. Seventy fast enough.
- 4:51Speaker 8: Really, if you're disciplined enough of a person to leave
- 4:55Speaker 8: your house at the time you're supposed to leave your house,
- 4:58Speaker 8: seventy miles per hour is absolutely enough. But if you're
- 5:02Speaker 8: an undisciplined person, if you don't have the wherewithal to
- 5:06Speaker 8: leave your house on time, to get ready to go
- 5:09Speaker 8: where you wanna go, see the desires where you wanna go,
- 5:13Speaker 8: the discipline is how you get there.
- 5:16Speaker 2: You understand, you can wanna go to see your family in.
- 5:19Speaker 8: California all you want, but the flight leaves at one eighteen.
- 5:25Speaker 2: You leave your house at twelve thirty.
- 5:27Speaker 8: They told you you must check in one hour before
- 5:32Speaker 8: your flight. Now, if you ain't got the discipline to
- 5:35Speaker 8: get to the airport to check in one hour before
- 5:38Speaker 8: your flight, leaving your house forty five minutes before the
- 5:41Speaker 8: flight departs, what you think gonna happen?
- 5:44Speaker 2: Your desire to go see.
- 5:46Speaker 8: Your family in la is going to be thwarted because
- 5:50Speaker 8: you lack the discipline to prepare yourself and get yourself
- 5:54Speaker 8: ready to do the things that you have to do
- 5:57Speaker 8: to make your desires come true. I'm telling you you,
- 6:00Speaker 8: discipline determines your destiny, not your desire. You can write
- 6:05Speaker 8: down a list of stuff you wanna do all day,
- 6:07Speaker 8: but if you don't produce and show the discipline necessary
- 6:11Speaker 8: to get there.
- 6:12Speaker 2: What you think gonna happen? Huh? Okay?
- 6:16Speaker 8: I wanna be rich. Okay, I wanna make four hundred
- 6:20Speaker 8: thousand a year. Okay, I wanna be the best player
- 6:25Speaker 8: that they is. Okay, but you don't want practice. See
- 6:29Speaker 8: the cat that's disciplined enough to show up at practice,
- 6:32Speaker 8: that's shooting jumpers when everybody gone home. That's the guy
- 6:36Speaker 8: that's gonna be the best. The guy that's never late
- 6:38Speaker 8: for practice, the guy to study the playbook. That's the
- 6:41Speaker 8: guy that's gonna make it, not the guy that's talking crack,
- 6:45Speaker 8: got stalking that smack. I'm gonna make the Pro Bowl,
- 6:47Speaker 8: I'm gonna make the All Star Team, I'm gonna be
- 6:49Speaker 8: All American. That's just what you're saying. But discipline determines
- 6:55Speaker 8: your destiny, not your desire. So now let's talk about
- 6:59Speaker 8: this discipline. What is that, really, Steve. That's your work ethic,
- 7:03Speaker 8: that's your hunger, that's your will. Discipline is how hard
- 7:08Speaker 8: you're willing to demonstrate the attributes and the traits to
- 7:16Speaker 8: be what you want to be.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Did you hear me?
- 7:19Speaker 8: It is your willingness to conduct yourself in a manner
- 7:24Speaker 8: that is above and beyond what they say is necessary.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Now, this is a good example right here. Now.
- 7:31Speaker 8: You can want to be in the NFL all you want,
- 7:34Speaker 8: but they got this thing called the NFL Combines where
- 7:37Speaker 8: they bring in some of the top players at every
- 7:40Speaker 8: position to come in and they gonna run a forty
- 7:43Speaker 8: yard dash, they gonna do a standing broad jump, They're
- 7:47Speaker 8: gonna do a standing vertical leap, they gonna do drills.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Running drills, cutting drills.
- 7:55Speaker 8: They can determine if a lineback of God's stiff hips
- 7:59Speaker 8: by making him back pedal, point him in one direction
- 8:01Speaker 8: and throw the football in another direction. How does he
- 8:04Speaker 8: turn his body? Now you can say you can tell
- 8:06Speaker 8: everybody at your college you want to play pro football.
- 8:09Speaker 8: You can tell everybody at your high school. You can
- 8:11Speaker 8: tell them in Peewee you wanna play pro football. But
- 8:13Speaker 8: they got tests for you though. It's called the combines.
- 8:17Speaker 8: Now you get out here and you have a bad
- 8:18Speaker 8: combine day, Ain't nobody trying to hear that. Let me
- 8:22Speaker 8: tell you how excuses don't work with people when they
- 8:24Speaker 8: just trying to get when they trying to win in
- 8:26Speaker 8: the NFL.
- 8:27Speaker 2: The fact that you had a bad day at.
- 8:29Speaker 8: The combine and you don't run your best forties and
- 8:33Speaker 8: you keep telling them you could do better, they don't
- 8:35Speaker 8: want to hear that. Because see, what ain't nobody gonna
- 8:37Speaker 8: pay you for is to play on Sunday. And that's
- 8:40Speaker 8: one of your bad days. We paying you to play
- 8:43Speaker 8: on Sundays. But because you keep having these bad days,
- 8:48Speaker 8: because you ain't disciplined enough to put in the work
- 8:51Speaker 8: to make sure that your maximum can be called upon
- 8:53Speaker 8: at any time. Now you at to combine with some
- 8:56Speaker 8: slow times that go on your record. To combine. You
- 9:00Speaker 8: don't jump as high as you did when you was
- 9:02Speaker 8: at your gym class. Well, hold up, man, this is
- 9:05Speaker 8: show day now in the NFL. Sunday is show day.
- 9:09Speaker 8: What they can't run the risk of is paying you
- 9:11Speaker 8: your money and your bad day happen to be on
- 9:14Speaker 8: Sundays after we didn't cut your check.
- 9:17Speaker 2: No, no, no, We.
- 9:18Speaker 8: Looking for people who limit them bad days, who got
- 9:21Speaker 8: the discipline to work hard, to make an effort for it.
- 9:24Speaker 8: You understand what I'm saying to your folks. Please understand this.
- 9:28Speaker 8: Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire. If you can
- 9:33Speaker 8: want it all you want, But if you ain't working,
- 9:36Speaker 8: if you ain't grinding, if you ain't hurting, if you
- 9:39Speaker 8: ain't sweating real bad, if you always somewhere, got to chill,
- 9:45Speaker 8: you got to have a cold one, you got to
- 9:47Speaker 8: smoke one, You got to do all them things.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Can I tell you something you ain't gonna make it?
- 9:53Speaker 2: Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening Morning show.
- 10:02Speaker 8: Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls, Rabbit hunters squirrel chasers, bird feeders,
- 10:12Speaker 8: giraffe watching, zoo attendees, Disney lifetime membership people, reporters, influencer
- 10:24Speaker 8: of any kind, sick people here, jack really, teachers, yay, waste,
- 10:35Speaker 8: badigement control, truck drivers, ober, whoever you are that need
- 10:41Speaker 8: some uplift this morning. We are here for you. We
- 10:45Speaker 8: are here for you. And now for those of you
- 10:47Speaker 8: that are over eighty years old, here's a little something
- 10:51Speaker 8: for you.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I'm I'm climbing up on the rough di.
- 11:03Speaker 9: Oh the mountainy day, I'm claud high men up, really, Lord,
- 11:15Speaker 9: that's a little something for everybody this morning.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Welcome to the Steve Offy Morning Show.
- 11:19Speaker 8: Everybody, gets your attitude together, get your gratitude together, get.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Your altitude together.
- 11:24Speaker 8: But it starts with gratitude that affects your attitude, that
- 11:27Speaker 8: has direct correlation with your altitude. That's what we do
- 11:30Speaker 8: in this show stars some very capable people. Shirley Strawberry
- 11:34Speaker 8: calling for real Mouth of the South, Mississippi, Monica kill Space.
- 11:38Speaker 8: They call him Junior and the legend that is Nephew
- 11:40Speaker 8: Tommy Junior.
- 11:42Speaker 2: What today? Pray tale? Yes, unc, let me ask you
- 11:46Speaker 2: to say, could it be? Now?
- 11:48Speaker 10: You know you give your you be hard on yourself.
- 11:51Speaker 10: Do you give yourself enough credit? I know a lot
- 11:54Speaker 10: of people. Yeah, you know, that's the thing I'm thinking
- 11:56Speaker 10: about because I thought about where I'm at today and
- 11:59Speaker 10: my birthday coming, and do I give myself enough credit
- 12:02Speaker 10: for what I done?
- 12:03Speaker 2: I think I should be doing something more.
- 12:05Speaker 6: Well.
- 12:07Speaker 8: The problem with us is we are always in chase
- 12:11Speaker 8: mode and we're not enough in gratitude mode. And I'm
- 12:16Speaker 8: guilty of the same thing because I'm extremely hard on myself,
- 12:20Speaker 8: and people around me have to tell me all the time.
- 12:23Speaker 2: You trip it. You need to slow down.
- 12:26Speaker 8: You need to enjoy your life a little bit more
- 12:29Speaker 8: because of the work you've put in and you've done.
- 12:32Speaker 8: But that comes from not enough gratitude. And I'm very
- 12:37Speaker 8: guilty of this myself to you because See, we're so
- 12:40Speaker 8: busy in the chase game that we fail to realize
- 12:44Speaker 8: how much we done caught. See you've been chasing, but
- 12:47Speaker 8: you also been catching. And when you fail to realize
- 12:50Speaker 8: how much you've caught, your focus is on the chase,
- 12:53Speaker 8: and then you lose the gratitude of what you've caught.
- 12:56Speaker 8: So you as your birthday approaches and you really lies
- 13:00Speaker 8: that I am not where I want to be. But
- 13:03Speaker 8: can you not also realize that you ain't where you was?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Shirt?
- 13:10Speaker 10: Amen, I'm sorry.
- 13:14Speaker 2: You need to go somewhere and sit down.
- 13:17Speaker 7: Man, shut up.
- 13:19Speaker 8: More, because I all you gotta do is think back
- 13:21Speaker 8: when it wasn't going this well?
- 13:25Speaker 7: All right, all right?
- 13:26Speaker 8: More gratitude affects your attitude, which is direct correlation with
- 13:32Speaker 8: your Altitude'll come back with Morning Steve mort Show right
- 13:35Speaker 8: after I got Shirley. Don't even worry about it. Come
- 13:38Speaker 8: back next prank phonecos.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Oh god, you're listening Morning Show.
- 13:45Speaker 11: All right, it is time now for the nephew to
- 13:47Speaker 11: run that prank back what you got for his nept.
- 13:50Speaker 2: This is repalling the church. Q got dog. We are
- 13:57Speaker 2: in your command? All right, all my let's go.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Well, I'm trying to reach a pastor, Pastor Wilkins.
- 14:06Speaker 12: Yeah, this is reverend doctor Wilkins.
- 14:08Speaker 4: You're the you're the pastor of Doctor Church. Am I right?
- 14:12Speaker 12: Maptter Church? That's correct? How can I help?
- 14:14Speaker 4: Okay? My name is Daniel and I'm calling from a
- 14:19Speaker 4: RCS which is a church supply, and we have an
- 14:22Speaker 4: outstanding bill here that we wanted to bring to you
- 14:25Speaker 4: all's attention for like twenty three thousand dollars for your
- 14:29Speaker 4: pews that has not been paid, so we wanted to see.
- 14:34Speaker 12: Not to cut you off.
- 14:36Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, Daniel RCS yet church supply, sir. That's this
- 14:41Speaker 4: is exactly where you guys got your pews.
- 14:44Speaker 12: Okay, our standing bill for twenty three times and well,
- 14:48Speaker 12: first of all, that's normally, uh, all our standing bills
- 14:52Speaker 12: are handled by our finance department. You know, you wouldn't
- 14:55Speaker 12: to speak to our treasurer and they would be able
- 14:57Speaker 12: to help you with that.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Evidently, sir, that this hasn't been taken care of in
- 15:01Speaker 4: this matter when it comes to these pews, because like
- 15:03Speaker 4: I stayed it before, you guys old twenty three thousand
- 15:06Speaker 4: dollars on these pews, and I think this was probably
- 15:08Speaker 4: twelve to thirteen years ago, so maybe this was something
- 15:11Speaker 4: before you got there. But nevertheless, they're still an outstanding
- 15:15Speaker 4: billing right now. We're actually going to be repossessing these
- 15:18Speaker 4: pews as of early seven o'clock Sunday morning.
- 15:23Speaker 12: Not far this Sunday morning. No, we have the Women's
- 15:27Speaker 12: Day's Missionary is here today and also Sunday we have
- 15:31Speaker 12: like our pit.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Then you have a lot of things and you actually
- 15:35Speaker 4: run it off your schedule. To me, that's that's really
- 15:38Speaker 4: not my concern. And maybe you're Women's Day or whatever
- 15:41Speaker 4: is going to y'all gonna do it standing up, because.
- 15:43Speaker 12: Right now we're not going to do it. You're not
- 15:45Speaker 12: understanding me. See did you say twelve or thirteen years ago? Yes, sir, well,
- 15:50Speaker 12: I've been the past every ten years and you know,
- 15:52Speaker 12: you know, like.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Occurred before you got there. But nevertheless, the bill is
- 15:59Speaker 4: still out stand and these pulls need to be taken
- 16:02Speaker 4: care of. Now. If y'all don't have the twenty three
- 16:04Speaker 4: thousand dollars, then I got to come pick these pews
- 16:07Speaker 4: up Sunday morning.
- 16:08Speaker 12: Sir well, I don't go over there, and you're not
- 16:10Speaker 12: hearing me. And first of all, this is my private number.
- 16:13Speaker 12: How did you get this number?
- 16:14Speaker 4: Your your numbers here in the books as a contact?
- 16:17Speaker 12: No, this is this is all. I only get this
- 16:19Speaker 12: out to very few people, and I know none of
- 16:21Speaker 12: them will will give our numbers. So that's defin issue
- 16:24Speaker 12: right there. And second of all, if you're talking about
- 16:26Speaker 12: coming in our church Sunday morning to take our pews,
- 16:30Speaker 12: that's not something you really want to do, sir I have.
- 16:33Speaker 4: To do my job the same way you get up
- 16:35Speaker 4: on Sunday morning and you have to do yours. I
- 16:37Speaker 4: have to do mine. So my job is to get
- 16:39Speaker 4: these pews back because you guys are twenty three thousand
- 16:42Speaker 4: dollars in the riars.
- 16:43Speaker 12: No cayling and tell you I ain't always been being
- 16:46Speaker 12: a preacher. Now you come in my church and you're
- 16:49Speaker 12: testing pews, I'm gonna come out there proofit, don't you
- 16:52Speaker 12: I'm not.
- 16:53Speaker 4: I'm not here to go to what you used to
- 16:56Speaker 4: be and what you are now. I'm nothing to go
- 16:58Speaker 4: back and forth with you on that. The bottom line
- 17:01Speaker 4: consequention you don't want to deal with sign because you
- 17:03Speaker 4: know I, oh, hold on, hold on, hold on, let me,
- 17:06Speaker 4: let me calm down, because you know you're about to
- 17:08Speaker 4: make me fay some words that I've been delivered from.
- 17:10Speaker 12: Thank God, I'm.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Gonna deliver them pews away from you on Sunday now.
- 17:16Speaker 4: I got to come and pick them pews up. That's
- 17:18Speaker 4: the bottom line. Do you have twenty three thousand Sunday morning.
- 17:21Speaker 12: Twenty three thousands? I understand that's not the issue. The
- 17:24Speaker 12: issue is you have no business calling me on my
- 17:27Speaker 12: personal phone. I'm in my metigration time right now, trying
- 17:30Speaker 12: to get consecrated for you know my message that after
- 17:32Speaker 12: deliver lady this afternoon, so we need all of our cutures.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Well, let me ask you something such. Do you have
- 17:39Speaker 4: the twenty three thousand dollars that you can give me
- 17:41Speaker 4: Sunday morning and then you can continue whatever it is
- 17:44Speaker 4: you have going on that day. Other than that, I'm
- 17:47Speaker 4: gonna have to take them cues.
- 17:49Speaker 12: I got to pull me in twenty dollars. If you're
- 17:50Speaker 12: not listening, sign that ain't my bill, I ain't paying it,
- 17:54Speaker 12: you ain't touching my cues.
- 17:57Speaker 4: I'm not gonna continue to go. Okay, listen, I'm trying
- 18:00Speaker 4: to respect what's what's pastor will trying to respect you remend.
- 18:05Speaker 12: Doctor Wilkins. I appreciate this. You call me in my name,
- 18:09Speaker 12: Reverend doctor Wilkins.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Okay, Reverend doctor Wilkins. Now, first of all, I'm coming
- 18:15Speaker 4: up there Sunday. Now, I'm hoping I only have to
- 18:17Speaker 4: lay hands on these views. Now I gotta lay hands
- 18:20Speaker 4: on something else that I got to do. What I
- 18:22Speaker 4: got to say.
- 18:23Speaker 12: You can come on up here and you set it
- 18:26Speaker 12: on the property. That's cool, but you.
- 18:27Speaker 13: Touch them pills.
- 18:28Speaker 12: I got some lawyers in here. They can take that
- 18:30Speaker 12: Jesus coade off. They can stay down, they can get
- 18:32Speaker 12: with you.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Pardner.
- 18:33Speaker 12: You know what I'm saying. You know what they they do.
- 18:37Speaker 12: I walk through the valley shadow of death. I will
- 18:39Speaker 12: still no evil. I ain't got no problem. Wa wait
- 18:42Speaker 12: wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait. You're talking
- 18:45Speaker 12: about coming to me and to my church.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Because my I'm gonna do what I got to do. Man,
- 18:51Speaker 4: I'm gonna do what.
- 18:52Speaker 12: I gotta do in the name of Jesus.
- 18:54Speaker 14: Right man, Hey, man, pay up or stand up?
- 18:58Speaker 4: The whole service? Now, which one you won't?
- 19:01Speaker 12: You want to have it?
- 19:02Speaker 4: I got I got something else. I want to tell you.
- 19:04Speaker 4: You listen to me.
- 19:05Speaker 12: Past you listening? If you ain't saying nothing, sign you
- 19:08Speaker 12: listening to me.
- 19:10Speaker 4: I've got to say this to you. His nephew Tommy

- 20:57Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 20:58Speaker 11: This one is from Honey and Quans. Honey writes, two
- 21:01Speaker 11: years ago, I had a hip replacement. I had hip
- 21:04Speaker 11: replacement surgery, and I'm still using it as an excuse
- 21:08Speaker 11: to keep my husband away from me at night. He
- 21:12Speaker 11: eventually stopped pressing me for sex, and now he doesn't
- 21:14Speaker 11: come to bed till late at night. Instead, he sits
- 21:18Speaker 11: out back and smokes cigars. Last night, I looked for
- 21:22Speaker 11: him and his car wasn't there. I called him and
- 21:25Speaker 11: he said he was watching the game with his brother.
- 21:28Speaker 11: I wanted to call his brother to verify his story,
- 21:32Speaker 11: but the background was quiet. Should I trust my husband
- 21:36Speaker 11: or did he lie?
- 21:38Speaker 2: Booh no, no, he probably didn't lie. So let's talk
- 21:41Speaker 2: about this with four minutes, see, because just surreally about
- 21:44Speaker 2: your husband.
- 21:45Speaker 8: Let's be real. Is you faking this hip? Is you
- 21:49Speaker 8: with this fake hip injury? Now you ain't got your
- 21:52Speaker 8: hip replace So I know you're old. So now you
- 21:55Speaker 8: ain't got your hip replace because that ain't a twenty
- 21:57Speaker 8: year old problem. You got your hip replace because your
- 22:01Speaker 8: ass mess around fall so you didn't.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Have your little panic alert but to help our fallings.
- 22:07Speaker 8: And I can't get up, so you laid there and
- 22:09Speaker 8: now you got to get the whole damn hip replace.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Now you don't want your husband touching you at night, and.
- 22:15Speaker 8: So you done kept the lie going you lines. Let's
- 22:18Speaker 8: not turn this into is your husband lying? You've been
- 22:21Speaker 8: lying to your husband about your help injury. This your lines.
- 22:26Speaker 8: So now your husband been sitting in the backyard smoked cigar.
- 22:29Speaker 8: Now you go out there one night in the corent
- 22:31Speaker 8: there how long it's been since you had sex with
- 22:34Speaker 8: your hugs? And what you want him to do because
- 22:38Speaker 8: he knows your hip. Don't take that damn long because
- 22:40Speaker 8: he was a.
- 22:41Speaker 7: Doctor's office with you.
- 22:43Speaker 8: And he don't want your help anyway. So now what's
- 22:49Speaker 8: wrong with everything else? Because well I'll stay on the
- 22:52Speaker 8: front side. We ain't even got to go over there
- 22:54Speaker 8: with a hip act because what I want is not
- 22:56Speaker 8: your help.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Now what's up?
- 22:58Speaker 8: So is he at your brother's house? Probably should you
- 23:01Speaker 8: call hell? No, because you started this lie. So this
- 23:05Speaker 8: lie only you, not him, honey.
- 23:11Speaker 11: Honey, out of Queen's Moving on to Ian in Saint Louis.
- 23:15Speaker 11: I says, I took my girlfriend to Vegas for her

- 54:03Speaker 11: by her nail salon and get a manicure. I walked
- 54:06Speaker 11: her to her car and she kissed me on the cheek.
- 54:09Speaker 11: I was in heaven, and as soon as the nail
- 54:12Speaker 11: salon opened, I called to make an appointment. I knew
- 54:16Speaker 11: the salon wasn't in the best part of town, but
- 54:19Speaker 11: I still wanted to see my girl again. When I
- 54:22Speaker 11: walked in The receptionist looked at me like I was lost.
- 54:25Speaker 11: She rolled her eyes and she pointed to my girl.
- 54:28Speaker 11: My girl looked totally different from the night before. Her
- 54:31Speaker 11: hair was in corn rows, and she had on a
- 54:33Speaker 11: bodysuit and some air Jordan's. She was loud and cursed
- 54:37Speaker 11: a lot as she did my nails. She referred to
- 54:40Speaker 11: me as her in word when other ladies commented on
- 54:43Speaker 11: me being in the salon. She was so hood in
- 54:46Speaker 11: the hood, and it was amazing to see this side
- 54:49Speaker 11: of her. We've been hanging out a lot, and she
- 54:51Speaker 11: prefers to eat soul food and wings most of the time,
- 54:55Speaker 11: so I had to adjust to that and take an
- 54:57Speaker 11: ascids at NAIs. At this point, I will do whatever
- 55:01Speaker 11: this girl wants to do because the sex is off
- 55:04Speaker 11: the chain and I have a lot of fun with her,
- 55:06Speaker 11: even though I have to keep my pistol on me
- 55:08Speaker 11: when I'm in her neighborhood.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Am I crazy to be falling for this woman?
- 55:12Speaker 2: Nope?
- 55:13Speaker 1: Not at all.
- 55:13Speaker 11: I mean, why would you even say that. One thing
- 55:17Speaker 11: for sure is that the heart wants what the heart wants.
- 55:20Speaker 11: It doesn't matter if this girl is hood, if she's
- 55:22Speaker 11: rocking corn rows, calling you her inWORD and cursing a
- 55:25Speaker 11: lot while she's doing your nails.
- 55:27Speaker 1: You really like her and you want to be with her.
- 55:29Speaker 1: It's all in the letter.
- 55:30Speaker 11: I mean, just know that this is who she is
- 55:33Speaker 11: and what she does, and don't try to change her.
- 55:36Speaker 1: All right, This is who she is and that's okay.
- 55:39Speaker 11: You need to decide and think about what your future
- 55:41Speaker 11: is going to look like with her, and you got
- 55:43Speaker 11: to ask yourself some questions. Can you take her to
- 55:45Speaker 11: meet your family? Can you go to your work Christmas
- 55:49Speaker 11: party when they start having Christmas parties again? Can you
- 55:51Speaker 11: take her to church with you? Will you be embarrassed
- 55:54Speaker 11: to take her around your friends? And most importantly, can
- 55:57Speaker 11: your stomach take much more of the soul food and
- 55:59Speaker 11: the wing?
- 56:00Speaker 7: Okay?
- 56:01Speaker 11: If the answer to all of these questions is yesin
- 56:03Speaker 11: I say go get your girl.
- 56:06Speaker 4: You know.
- 56:06Speaker 11: But because she's already calling you her n word, and
- 56:09Speaker 11: you called her your girl in the letter, so I
- 56:12Speaker 11: think you know you guys are a match. There is
- 56:14Speaker 11: a saying that opposites the tract a track. This sounds
- 56:17Speaker 11: like one of those cases to me, but it sounds
- 56:19Speaker 11: okay right now, Steve.
- 56:23Speaker 8: Well, my man, the subject is the Hood, the Bad
- 56:29Speaker 8: and the Bushy. But if you wrote this letter about
- 56:34Speaker 8: this girl, this letter also tells me a lot about you.
- 56:41Speaker 8: You got some concerns about the girl. Understandable, I got
- 56:47Speaker 8: some concerns about you. So there's going to be a
- 56:52Speaker 8: teaching and learning moment for all of us. So when
- 56:55Speaker 8: your letter first came out, The Hood, the Bad, and
- 56:58Speaker 8: the Bugy, I thought it was about our more show.
- 57:01Speaker 8: I'll be quite honest with you, because the hood on
- 57:04Speaker 8: the show is here. Her name caller for real, the
- 57:12Speaker 8: bad on the show, it's Janthy Brown. Come on, come on,
- 57:18Speaker 8: cure space, Thomas Miles. I'm the sex and myself, and
- 57:25Speaker 8: the boogie on the show is a person who just
- 57:28Speaker 8: answered this letter as a boogie person.
- 57:33Speaker 2: The whole response is bogie. He's already calling you the
- 57:37Speaker 2: N word and what it didn't even.
- 57:40Speaker 8: Sound like, and you called her her your girl, So
- 57:44Speaker 8: you know see how buogy that was, because she the
- 57:47Speaker 8: bougie on this show. Buddy, wasn't about this show. It's
- 57:52Speaker 8: about this damn letter and brother, right now, I really
- 57:57Speaker 8: don't see the problem you got with the girl. I'm
- 58:00Speaker 8: gonna show you the problem that's within yourself. You saw
- 58:03Speaker 8: this girl bad dresser, bad figure, bad riding. You say, Steve,
- 58:10Speaker 8: I mean in a good way. I knew exactly what
- 58:12Speaker 8: you went home. I've been there. We met in a lounge.
- 58:14Speaker 8: She stood out from a group of girlfriend poise graceful.
- 58:18Speaker 8: Watched her sip wine while her friends all loudly chatting
- 58:22Speaker 8: and taking shots. She walked past me to get to
- 58:25Speaker 8: the bar. I followed this thing to buy her a drink. Hell,
- 58:29Speaker 8: I bought the whole bottle. We said at the bar,
- 58:32Speaker 8: talked a minute. She gave me a business card shop
- 58:35Speaker 8: I could come out in her nail salon get a manicure.
- 58:38Speaker 8: I walked her to the car. She kissed you on
- 58:40Speaker 8: the cheek. Boy, your ass was in heaven. Ain't nothing
- 58:43Speaker 8: wrong because she dressed up nice, she clean up nice.
- 58:49Speaker 8: She know how to act in public. She got two sides.
- 58:54Speaker 8: You saw the good side, But you took your ass
- 58:58Speaker 8: to the nail appointment next morning. You couldn't wait. And
- 59:02Speaker 8: when you walk through the door, you met somebody else.
- 59:07Speaker 8: You said it wasn't in the best part of town.
- 59:12Speaker 8: You gotta act like your environment. If you gonna get
- 59:17Speaker 8: with him, you gotta get with him. So now you're
- 59:22Speaker 8: the bad part of town. You can't be buysy over here.
- 59:26Speaker 8: We ain't at the lounge. We work now, and when
- 59:30Speaker 8: I come back, I'll show you what happened.
- 59:33Speaker 11: All right, We'll be back with part two of Steve's
- 59:36Speaker 11: response to today's Strawberry letter, The Hood, the Bad, and
- 59:39Speaker 11: the Bousheye, at twenty three minutes after the hour. Right
- 59:42Speaker 11: after this, you're listening hard morning show. All right, Come on, Steve,
- 59:47Speaker 11: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject the Hood, the
- 59:51Speaker 11: Bad and the Boushie.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Oh, this man.
- 59:53Speaker 8: Met this very beautiful home and he says, hood and bougie.
- 59:58Speaker 8: I understand right off the top. She's a bad dresser,
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: bad figure, bad body, bad walk. You followed her to
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: the bar, end of the bar, you bought her drank
- 1:00:06Speaker 8: y'all talked, walked her to the car. She gave your
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: business car, kissed you on the cheek. You was in heaven, boys.
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: She was fining, sophisticated while the girls was loud and chatting.
- 1:00:16Speaker 8: She was sipping wine, meaning she know how to be
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: where she is. She know how to act a part,
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: played the role. She had you hook line and sinker.
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: It worked, didn't it? Then you showed up the next
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: day at the men nail salon. Did she own to
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: get your nails done? Everybody know who she was because
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: she told her you was coming. Now you came to
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: the shop. They rolling their eyes. She right there. She
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: looked totally different. Her hair was in corn roll. She
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: had on her body suit and some air Jordan's. That
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: nice house fit.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: You got corn Rolls you buy you wear.
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: Bodysuit was a mad George's because you know what's sitting
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: down in the may Jordan's. You know that the ankles
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: just lowered down into these air Jordans, and you got
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: a bodysuit on with it. You know every thing that's
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: stuck down in them shoes is right and tight.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: So she went it.
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: But she got a hand corn roll, probably had a
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: wig on last night, or weave or something like that,
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: because you didn't pay no attention to the corn roll.
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: So she didn't put on her best and went out
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: and dressed, and she got you right where she wanted.
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: She was loud and she cussed a lot, and she
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: did my nails because it was in the worst part
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: of town. You said, she referred to me as her
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: end word. When other ladies commented on me being in
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: the salon?
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: What he in fau?
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: This is my in right here? Who you think is it?
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: Who?
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: You see?
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: Who he is?
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: You see who he went on?
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: It?
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: This mine? Yeah?
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: She was so hood in the hood, and it was
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: amazing to see this side of her. We been hanging
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: out a lot and she preferred to eat soul food
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: and wings most of the time, so I had to
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: adjust to that and take antassins at night.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Let's stop right here here the problem we got?
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: What man.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Don't like soul food and chicken wing? What kind of
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: man is you?
- 1:02:02Speaker 11: What?
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Hell? Yeah?
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: Now you ain't here mad at her because she got
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: corn rolls of body shuiting, some jawings on and she
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: want to eat sol food and chicken wing.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: You gotta take antasin Where the punk ass come from?
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Every night?
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: Scho little hasts don't want to eat no soul food
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: and no chicken way.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Now you gotta take a hand.
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: Who has to take antasis for chicken ways?
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: What kind of man is this? You softened and medicated cotton.
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: You in here trying to date somebody that's real and
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: you can't even eat a chicken wing without vomiting choe?
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Punk ass come from hell.
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: You been watching sports and ain't been able to eat
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: no damn chicken wings. You probably ain't even got no
- 1:02:42Speaker 8: black friends. Come here talking about something? Y'all got some
- 1:02:44Speaker 8: antasis for what? Because I fin to eat these wings?
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: What you can tell us too? Man?
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: You black, and you can't eat soul food because you
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: need antaskits what?
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: That's really what this letter about. It ain't about her
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: being too hood.
- 1:03:01Speaker 8: It's about your ass being soft as medicated cotting. So
- 1:03:09Speaker 8: now at this point, I would do whatever this girl
- 1:03:12Speaker 8: wants to do because the sex is off the chain,
- 1:03:14Speaker 8: and I got a lot of fun with her. And
- 1:03:16Speaker 8: even though I had to keep my pistol on me
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: when I'm in her neighborhood? Am I crazy for falling
- 1:03:21Speaker 8: for this woman? You know already failed? You whipped dog,
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: that little tight bodysuit with them conrods jammed down in them, George,
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: working with it got you sprung you in love?
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Why would you leave her? Now?
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: Shirley with that budge answer talking about you know, will
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: you be able to take her to.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Your mama and teach cherishing around your friends?
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: Because she know how to dress up. She fooled you
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: the night before she know how to be whatever. She's
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: a chameleon. She knows how to put on and be
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: what she gotta be. But you ain't got no problem
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: whatever she is in that bedroom. Obviously, that ain't no problem.
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: You ain't got no problem hanging out and y'all having fun.
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: Seems like a real sweet person to me, that knows
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: how to play the game. But show punk ass. Yeah,
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: she polish up good everything.
- 1:04:20Speaker 11: What about the part about him having to keep his
- 1:04:22Speaker 11: pistol on him when he's in her neighborhood.
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: You ain't to only one. You ain't to only one
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: got a pistol. I can promise you ain't only one
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: over there got a pistol. I bet you if them
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: girls open up that desk tray at that nail salon,
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: it's about eight of them.
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: In now right.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: It's probably one of these stations.
- 1:04:42Speaker 8: You just number nine, You gone number nine. This's eight
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: all of them in there. And so what you got
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: your pistol on you? So listen to me what your
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: little scary ass want to do. That's all I got
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: sa to say. I'm so mad about the soul food
- 1:04:59Speaker 8: chicken wing line. I can't even address nothing else he
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: talking about the hell got to take antastis because they
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: didn't have some collic green. You can't even macaroni and cheese.

- 1:10:26Speaker 8: he is a true barbecue ologist. And I'm scared that
- 1:10:30Speaker 8: he's gonna be sprinkling my rub on ham sandwiches and
- 1:10:35Speaker 8: putting it on top of potato salad like something. I'm
- 1:10:39Speaker 8: not finna do this with juniors, you know, like it's
- 1:10:42Speaker 8: some sprinkle or something like that. You got like it's
- 1:10:45Speaker 8: Larry's Like you're just putting it on everything all on
- 1:10:48Speaker 8: your French fries and we're not finna do that. And
- 1:10:50Speaker 8: I'm putting a little bit on the baked beans. You're
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: not finna do that to my damn rug putting it
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: off with everything. Yeah, sprinkling on stop of stuff, ain't
- 1:11:01Speaker 8: got I put a little bit on my slow What
- 1:11:06Speaker 8: take my rib and put it on nothing? So it's
- 1:11:08Speaker 8: all meat of fair Now that will.

- 1:11:32Speaker 18: if you could do the corn?
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: I just told you I don't do fish.

- 1:12:09Speaker 2: them beans. I don't know what she's gonna eat.
- 1:12:12Speaker 8: I don't know what she's gonna do. I don't eat
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: land animals. What you're gonna eat? Add animals?
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: Birds?

- 1:12:29Speaker 8: make potato salad. I don't really know how to make it.
- 1:12:32Speaker 8: Marjorie's make a good potato salad. But yeah, Marjorie mama
- 1:12:36Speaker 8: nor Marjorie really is outstanding cook. Marjorie's outstanding. She thinks
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: she a better g real personally. But I don't want
- 1:12:44Speaker 8: to hurt it. But she's gonna get cussed out if
- 1:12:45Speaker 8: she say that in front of somebody else.
- 1:12:47Speaker 19: That's what If she talking about she could barbecue just
- 1:12:55Speaker 19: as good as me, She's gonna mess around and get

- 1:16:41Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't really care what you think.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: Your mind.
- 1:16:47Speaker 15: Selfish with this, s tea, I ain't selfish. I just

- 1:16:53Speaker 15: want to read it doing six, Yes, I do. I
- 1:16:55Speaker 15: want to know what you're thinking. I want to make
- 1:16:56Speaker 15: sure you ain't thinking about nobody else.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: That's what I And what if what if she's like.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: Then we're gonna then we're gonna be arguing.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Now now we're not bringing it no, he's not bringing
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: it right.
- 1:17:10Speaker 18: It ain't high Larry, all right?
- 1:17:15Speaker 11: Would you rather spend a week in a submarine or
- 1:17:17Speaker 11: a week on the moon.
- 1:17:20Speaker 15: I've always wanted to do submarine hill, but a week
- 1:17:30Speaker 15: I can't. I don't know if I can go down
- 1:17:31Speaker 15: there for a week.
- 1:17:32Speaker 8: Now, I just oh week underwater? Okay, nothing go away, nothing.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: But what you will take your You can take your
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: hand to the moon.
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: Did that?
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: I'm not going to no move Okay, I'm not going
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: to no moon.
- 1:17:49Speaker 7: You got him?
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: Which one?
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Would you rather?
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: Going on?

- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Hoodie Awards, Best or Essence.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: The Hoodie Awards.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: We've been to boast, We've done both.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: Classic Mom, you're so fake with it, man, I.
- 1:18:33Speaker 15: Hosted that thing for seven years.
- 1:18:36Speaker 11: Ye all right, that's today's rounded. Would you rather we'll
- 1:18:42Speaker 11: be back with the last break of the day. We'll
- 1:18:44Speaker 11: have some closing remarks from the one and only Steve
- 1:18:46Speaker 11: Harvey right after this.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: You're listening Hardy Morning Show. All right, guys, here we
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: are our last break of the day. It's been a
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: fun day.
- 1:18:57Speaker 8: You know something, it's really interesting. I was listening to
- 1:19:02Speaker 8: Joel Ostein, and of course I can't remember verbate of
- 1:19:09Speaker 8: what he said, but I got the gist of what
- 1:19:11Speaker 8: he was saying, and I kind of gave it some
- 1:19:13Speaker 8: thought over the past couple of days, and the message
- 1:19:17Speaker 8: kind of really really resonated with me. And he was
- 1:19:20Speaker 8: advising people not to listen to the roar. Roa r
- 1:19:28Speaker 8: the roar. Don't listen to the roar, And what he
- 1:19:32Speaker 8: was referring to was the roar was naysayers, haters, outside chatter.
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: When you.
- 1:19:43Speaker 8: Are in agreement with God about your plan, when you're
- 1:19:48Speaker 8: in agreement with your creator about your future, what you're
- 1:19:51Speaker 8: going to do, you've got to learn and all of
- 1:19:55Speaker 8: us have to learn this, myself included to block out
- 1:19:59Speaker 8: and ignore the roar, the things that people say about you,
- 1:20:05Speaker 8: the nay say as, the haters, the family members, your
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: so called love ones, your friends, blogs, the IG page,
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: the comment section, your coworkers. You have to ignore the roar.
- 1:20:25Speaker 8: And so it was equating it to the roar of
- 1:20:27Speaker 8: a lion, you know, And I've been to Africa and
- 1:20:30Speaker 8: I've heard that I've heard lions in the wild I
- 1:20:33Speaker 8: mean really really.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: Raw, and boy they something else. Man.
- 1:20:36Speaker 8: That guttural roar of a lion is to intimidate other
- 1:20:42Speaker 8: lions and other pray, I mean not pray, but other cats.
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: Hey, this is my territory. Don't come over here.
- 1:20:53Speaker 8: And so they raw to signify, if you can hear me,
- 1:20:57Speaker 8: I'm telling you this is my territory.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: Don't come over here.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:21:00Speaker 8: Most animals get intimidated by that, you know, especially animals
- 1:21:04Speaker 8: of prey. They hair, they are the way when they
- 1:21:06Speaker 8: hear that. Okay, we're getting too close to this, dude.
- 1:21:09Speaker 8: But a lot of times it's to keep other lions
- 1:21:15Speaker 8: out of their territory. Now, this raw is to intimidate you.
- 1:21:22Speaker 8: The lion uses it to intimidate, but the raw is
- 1:21:27Speaker 8: used to intimidate you and to block you from your
- 1:21:30Speaker 8: blessings from God. So, now, if you're in agreement with
- 1:21:34Speaker 8: God and you're on your way to a certain destiny
- 1:21:36Speaker 8: in your life, and all of a sudden you hear
- 1:21:39Speaker 8: this roar from the haters, the blogs, the internet, the coworkers,
- 1:21:44Speaker 8: the rumor meal, the whatever you have, the family members
- 1:21:49Speaker 8: that don't believe, You've got to learn how to block
- 1:21:52Speaker 8: out the raw because the raw is a trick by
- 1:21:56Speaker 8: the devil, and the devil has no new trick. He's
- 1:22:01Speaker 8: been doing the same thing since the beginning of time.
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: Now he may have some.
- 1:22:07Speaker 8: Technology attached to it right now, but the devil ain't
- 1:22:11Speaker 8: got no new tricks.
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: He the same dude.
- 1:22:15Speaker 8: He the same low down, no good, trying to rob
- 1:22:18Speaker 8: you of your destiny dude that he's always been, and
- 1:22:22Speaker 8: he uses the row to block you. So now he
- 1:22:26Speaker 8: was using the example of he said he was on
- 1:22:30Speaker 8: a safari once and he was talking to one of
- 1:22:33Speaker 8: the guides and they were talking about if you're ever
- 1:22:36Speaker 8: out on a safari and a lion charges, they tell
- 1:22:41Speaker 8: you not to break out and run because first of all,
- 1:22:46Speaker 8: the lion can run it fifty miles an hour, so
- 1:22:48Speaker 8: you can't do that, so he said, and if you
- 1:22:51Speaker 8: break and run, you just gonna die scared. But he
- 1:22:55Speaker 8: said the best way to handle it is to turn
- 1:22:58Speaker 8: and make eye contact with the Now that's hard to do.
- 1:23:02Speaker 8: I mean, we all know that you got a lion charge,
- 1:23:04Speaker 8: and everything in you says turn and run. But the
- 1:23:08Speaker 8: guide was saying, ninety percent of all lion charges he
- 1:23:13Speaker 8: stops because he just does it to see what you're
- 1:23:15Speaker 8: gonna do nine of all charges. The lion stops short
- 1:23:22Speaker 8: of attacking because he just wants to see what you're
- 1:23:24Speaker 8: gonna do. Now, there's ten percent where you know you're goner,
- 1:23:28Speaker 8: but it's ninety percent he stops if you turn and
- 1:23:33Speaker 8: run one hundred.
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: Percent he keeps coming.
- 1:23:37Speaker 8: So you have to muster up the strength to stand
- 1:23:40Speaker 8: and face the lion and the charging attack with the
- 1:23:44Speaker 8: row to turn around.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: And face him.
- 1:23:47Speaker 8: And that's how you have to deal with the roar
- 1:23:49Speaker 8: of people in your life. You have to turn around
- 1:23:51Speaker 8: and face them. See, look y'all, you got somewhere to
- 1:23:56Speaker 8: go in life, and God has a plan for you.
- 1:24:00Speaker 8: But in order for you to get there, you're gonna
- 1:24:02Speaker 8: have to stay focused, and you have to get on track,
- 1:24:06Speaker 8: and you're gonna have to learn, man, that you have
- 1:24:09Speaker 8: the ability to get there. You just got to stop
- 1:24:12Speaker 8: paying attention to the roar. You are equipped to be
- 1:24:19Speaker 8: on the battlefield. You are equipped to be in rough water.
- 1:24:24Speaker 8: All of us are ships. There's a saying that says
- 1:24:27Speaker 8: ships are safe in port, but ships ain't built to
- 1:24:30Speaker 8: stay in port.
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: You were built to be out in the water.
- 1:24:34Speaker 8: Get your focus on God and going about your business
- 1:24:38Speaker 8: and get the life that God has for you. But everybody,
- 1:24:41Speaker 8: you have to learn to ignore the roar real quick.
- 1:24:47Speaker 8: A bully was at the school one day and he
- 1:24:49Speaker 8: made a list of everybody at the school that he
- 1:24:51Speaker 8: could whoop. And he showed this little bitty boy's list
- 1:24:54Speaker 8: and he said, look at this list right here. Little
- 1:24:55Speaker 8: boy said, let me see that list. He looked on
- 1:24:57Speaker 8: that and he saw his name. He said, hey, man,
- 1:24:59Speaker 8: you got money am on the list. He said, yeah,
- 1:25:01Speaker 8: I know. He said, you know you can't whoop me.
- 1:25:03Speaker 8: He said, you ain't never jumped on me before. You
- 1:25:05Speaker 8: ain't never whooped me. You've never jumped on me. You
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: can't whoop me once. You got my name on the
- 1:25:09Speaker 8: list for the bullet said, hold on, man, I'm sorry.
- 1:25:11Speaker 8: I take it off.
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: You know what he did.
- 1:25:14Speaker 8: He turned around and he faced a raw. He was
- 1:25:17Speaker 8: just a lie of charging. He took his little He
- 1:25:19Speaker 8: took a little boy name off the list. Little boy said,
- 1:25:21Speaker 8: you ain't never whooped me before. Take my name off
- 1:25:23Speaker 8: your list. And sometimes it's just how you have to bet.
- 1:25:27Speaker 8: Y'all have a great date. Ignore the raw, make him
- 1:25:30Speaker 8: take your name off the list. Y'all have a great date.
