- 2:16Speaker 1: ain't God been good to me? Wow? But then again,
- 2:22Speaker 1: ain't He been good to you too? Though? I mean really, man,
- 2:25Speaker 1: think of all the blessings God has given you. Think
- 2:28Speaker 1: of all the things He's done for you, things that
- 2:30Speaker 1: you ask for, things that you didn't ask for, things
- 2:33Speaker 1: that you were expecting. Being all about all of the
- 2:36Speaker 1: unexpected blessings. Man, he just keeps coming with it, don't it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You know what? That's some good news today though, y'all.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You know, in the in the in the face of
- 2:45Speaker 1: all the world being the way it is, the the
- 2:49Speaker 1: evilness that's out there, it just it just seems like
- 2:52Speaker 1: that's all that's on the news sometimes. You know, we
- 2:54Speaker 1: got we got news of parents not really starting up
- 2:58Speaker 1: being parents. We got news stories children turning on their parents.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You got, you got everything. The economy, You've got places
- 3:06Speaker 1: you thought you should be beautiful places to go now
- 3:08Speaker 1: they've got travel allerged. It's it's just it's all it's
- 3:11Speaker 1: it's it's all over. But the good news is there's
- 3:17Speaker 1: something that you can have in this relationship with God
- 3:22Speaker 1: that gives you a way to deal with it all.
- 3:26Speaker 1: And I'm not saying that it will it will protect
- 3:28Speaker 1: you from every single thing out that is happening, because
- 3:31Speaker 1: some things are going to happen to you. You're going
- 3:35Speaker 1: to be in an accident from time to time. You're
- 3:38Speaker 1: going to make a mistake and fall down from time
- 3:40Speaker 1: to time. But man, wouldn't it be incredible to you
- 3:44Speaker 1: for you if you understood that you had some insurance
- 3:48Speaker 1: in all of this that no matter what happened to you,
- 3:52Speaker 1: you know you will cover it. You know, look, insurance
- 3:54Speaker 1: companies as good as they are, you know, like our
- 3:57Speaker 1: friends that stay Farm or any other ensure his company.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You know they do they do some amazing things. Insurance
- 4:03Speaker 1: is a really, really good thing to happen in the
- 4:05Speaker 1: event that something happens to you. You know, you may
- 4:08Speaker 1: not want to pay the premium, but guess what in
- 4:11Speaker 1: the event that something happens to you that insurance is
- 4:14Speaker 1: absolutely critical. Well, but guess what they cover certain things.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You could get life insurance, you can get auto insurance,
- 4:23Speaker 1: you can get accident insurance, you can get health insurance.
- 4:29Speaker 1: There is nothing that you can buy to safeguard you
- 4:34Speaker 1: against life's decisions. You know, if you make a mistake,
- 4:39Speaker 1: if you cheat, if you lie, if you if you
- 4:44Speaker 1: fall down and you can't seem to get it together,
- 4:47Speaker 1: and you make a crazy decision about how you're gonna
- 4:50Speaker 1: go about securing an income that there are there are
- 4:54Speaker 1: no policies you can buy for that. You can't buy
- 4:57Speaker 1: a policy if you stop being the man you're supposed
- 5:01Speaker 1: to be, and and and and give up on your children.
- 5:05Speaker 1: You can't buy a policy. If something happens as a
- 5:08Speaker 1: mother and all of a sudden, you're not the mother
- 5:10Speaker 1: you're supposed to be. But there is some insurance coverage
- 5:15Speaker 1: out there for you and that relationship that you form
- 5:19Speaker 1: with God, that friendship that you form with him, that
- 5:23Speaker 1: that alliance that you that that partnership, that that prayer
- 5:28Speaker 1: that you put in all the time, there is an
- 5:31Speaker 1: insurance policy that you have taken out when you form
- 5:35Speaker 1: a relationship with your heavenly Father, when you form a friendship,
- 5:40Speaker 1: when you form a bond that protects you, that protects
- 5:45Speaker 1: you when these things happen in the event that they happen.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Now here's a great thing about prayer. Prayer can head
- 5:52Speaker 1: off some stuff from happening. It really really can. Prayer
- 5:56Speaker 1: can prevent some things from happen. You know, I'll give
- 6:00Speaker 1: you an example in my life. Okay, here we go,
- 6:02Speaker 1: because see this is the best way for me to
- 6:04Speaker 1: do it. Because see, what I don't like to do
- 6:06Speaker 1: is is talk to people without letting them know, Hey,
- 6:09Speaker 1: look I'm in this hole with you. I feel where yet? Okay,
- 6:12Speaker 1: here we go. I was making some decisions a few
- 6:17Speaker 1: years ago because what I thought I was doing was
- 6:21Speaker 1: counterbalancing something that was happening in my life. You know,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I thought that since I wasn't happy or well for
- 6:30Speaker 1: whatever the reason I thought I wasn't happy. If if I,
- 6:33Speaker 1: as wrong as I am, wanted to blame somebody else
- 6:36Speaker 1: from my unhappiness, that that's that's really if if I
- 6:40Speaker 1: make a bad decision because I'm thinking I'm unhappy with somebody,
- 6:44Speaker 1: hold a part. Two wrongs don't make it right. And
- 6:47Speaker 1: I make a decision to do something wrong, and now
- 6:50Speaker 1: the consequences come when I do something wrong. See then
- 6:55Speaker 1: that I already know as an intelligent thinking man, as
- 6:59Speaker 1: most of you are, that when you do something wrong,
- 7:02Speaker 1: that you know there is a consequence for that. I
- 7:06Speaker 1: teach that to my son's When you do something wrong,
- 7:08Speaker 1: there as a consequence. So as an adult, I fully
- 7:11Speaker 1: understood the consequence. And so what I was doing was
- 7:14Speaker 1: I was making some decisions that was causing some consequences
- 7:18Speaker 1: in my life that was delaying my happiness, delaying my progress,
- 7:23Speaker 1: causing my business not to go the way it could go,
- 7:27Speaker 1: so forth and so on. Well, what I started doing
- 7:30Speaker 1: was I took out this insurance policy called Prayer, and
- 7:34Speaker 1: I started putting it in my mix on a daily basis.
- 7:36Speaker 1: And then I started putting it in my mix. You know,
- 7:38Speaker 1: two three times a day. And then I found myself
- 7:42Speaker 1: using it all the time. And then I really started
- 7:45Speaker 1: putting it in when when I didn't need any help,
- 7:47Speaker 1: when I wasn't in trouble, I started putting insurance and
- 7:50Speaker 1: I started making deposits into the bank. I started paying
- 7:54Speaker 1: my premiums down. And prayer is like a premium, you
- 7:57Speaker 1: just pay in to it. Then when situations started coming up,
- 8:02Speaker 1: now it's that prayer that I had put in that
- 8:05Speaker 1: in those premiums I had paid, it started preventing me
- 8:09Speaker 1: from making the decisions I was making in the past.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Thus I didn't have to the suffer the consequences. Thus
- 8:16Speaker 1: my businesses didn't have to be delayed in this progress
- 8:20Speaker 1: because I had put some payments on some premiums, I
- 8:23Speaker 1: had taken out an insurance policy. With my life, my
- 8:28Speaker 1: real life. I'm talking about your life where you make
- 8:30Speaker 1: your day to day decisions in I'm not talking about
- 8:33Speaker 1: see life. Insurance is only good if you die. God
- 8:37Speaker 1: has a policy that's avasable, that's available for you. Why
- 8:41Speaker 1: are you living see in order foreign insurance policy to pay,
- 8:46Speaker 1: something bad got to happen. Now that may be some
- 8:49Speaker 1: others out there. I don't know nothing about. But all
- 8:51Speaker 1: the ones I got my car insurance, they only come
- 8:55Speaker 1: into play if I have an accident. I have an
- 8:58Speaker 1: accident insurance policy. You where something happens to me? I
- 9:01Speaker 1: got accident, I got. I got my voices covered in
- 9:05Speaker 1: case something happened to that. I got that, But but
- 9:08Speaker 1: I got to not be able to talk to cash
- 9:10Speaker 1: that one. You understand everything. I got homeowners insurance. Don't
- 9:15Speaker 1: nothing show up on my homeowners insurance unless it's a
- 9:19Speaker 1: flood or fire or thel. Something bad got to happen
- 9:24Speaker 1: for my insurance to even make sense. When you take
- 9:28Speaker 1: out the policy with your with your heavenly father, when
- 9:32Speaker 1: you pay the premiums of prayer, and that's all it costs. Man,
- 9:35Speaker 1: it ain't you. Ain't gotta have no money for this policy.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I put into the policy. It pays me dividends and
- 9:44Speaker 1: benefits for living. Ain't nothing got to go wrong for
- 9:49Speaker 1: me to cash in on this policy. I use this
- 9:53Speaker 1: policy for good things. I give you an example. I
- 9:58Speaker 1: use this policy to ask God to watch over my
- 10:02Speaker 1: family when I travel. I use this policy to ask
- 10:05Speaker 1: God to bless my sons on their journey into manhood.
- 10:09Speaker 1: He covers me I ask God to help make my
- 10:13Speaker 1: dreams come true with this policy. He covers me. I
- 10:17Speaker 1: asked God for the desires of my heart. He give
- 10:20Speaker 1: them to me. I asked God to lead and God
- 10:23Speaker 1: and protect me and keep me from making stupid decisions
- 10:26Speaker 1: like I used to make. He's all right, partner, stop
- 10:30Speaker 1: doing this, stop doing that now. Guess what. I'm not perfect,
- 10:34Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, long away from being perfect. I never claimed perfection. Man.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Listen to me, y'all, make the decisions to pay your
- 10:42Speaker 1: premiums in prayer. Talk to your heavenly father, get you
- 10:45Speaker 1: some insurance in your life. And when you have little
- 10:48Speaker 1: things like that, keep on stepping. Man. God loves you. Man, Man,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I shall hope you talk to God to day because
- 10:54Speaker 1: guess what he show would like to hear from you.
- 10:56Speaker 1: That's for shows show. Welcome to the ride, Happy fourth?

- 12:48Speaker 1: got to be We gotta be careful, Kath, you know.
- 12:50Speaker 1: And then let me, first of all, let me say
- 12:52Speaker 1: this hell, This that I'm saying about to say is

- 13:26Speaker 1: Oh if we don't know, I'm just saying, what are
- 13:30Speaker 1: we supposed to do? You have several remedies you know
- 13:35Speaker 1: that you thought were Okay, Hey, look the best I
- 13:38Speaker 1: got for Jay. Let me ask you this, do arged?

- 14:24Speaker 1: keep it shut. We're over one at a time. Yeah,
- 14:26Speaker 1: but how long it keeps? Yes, I mean it is
- 14:31Speaker 1: a perishable thing. All right. Well, I'm put forward coming
- 14:35Speaker 1: up in ten minutes today's comedy segment. Steve is here
- 14:38Speaker 1: for it. Uh, he's gonna have rules for when you
- 14:42Speaker 1: live with someone until you get on your feet. Okay,
- 14:45Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, a report
- 14:50Speaker 1: by Zello finds it nearly twenty two and a half
- 14:53Speaker 1: percent of US millennials they are living with their mom,
- 14:56Speaker 1: which is about twelve million young adult And why haven't
- 15:01Speaker 1: millennials moved out on their own? Well, according to the report,
- 15:04Speaker 1: twelve per cent of them are currently unemployed. When you
- 15:09Speaker 1: live with your mom and you passed millennia range, is
- 15:14Speaker 1: that since he has the most kids, I think we
- 15:18Speaker 1: should defer to Steve on this one. Steve, you have
- 15:21Speaker 1: some rules for when you live with someone until you
- 15:23Speaker 1: get on your feet. Now, this is not for millennial anybody.
- 15:30Speaker 1: This is for anybody. You've had people stay at your
- 15:32Speaker 1: how I have people come live with me, college roommates,
- 15:37Speaker 1: stuff like that. It's some stuff. Now, these are Steve
- 15:42Speaker 1: Harvey's rules for living with someone until you get on
- 15:45Speaker 1: your feet. These are dudes and doptes. Some things you
- 15:49Speaker 1: need to keep in mind. Here's one right here. Your
- 15:52Speaker 1: goals every day is to make it seem like you
- 15:57Speaker 1: there but you're not that. Yeah, that's your goal. That's
- 16:06Speaker 1: when you wake up get it in your mouth, Bill,
- 16:12Speaker 1: but look like because you get asked to me now
- 16:18Speaker 1: you don't want that. Here's another one. This is very important.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Your car should never block me in I can't want
- 16:31Speaker 1: to go out and I go out there and your
- 16:33Speaker 1: car in the damn where you were in that sleep. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 1: in fact, I got news for you. Your car shouldn't
- 16:40Speaker 1: even be in front of the house. Talk up the
- 16:44Speaker 1: street and walk down to where you rent free round
- 16:51Speaker 1: the corner, park at the up the street, at the
- 16:55Speaker 1: parking lot, at the grocery store. That try to make
- 17:00Speaker 1: it look like you ain't even got no call. If
- 17:05Speaker 1: you're watching TV in the other room. Yeah, your laugh
- 17:11Speaker 1: should not be who I can hear laid down the
- 17:22Speaker 1: just good bucket. This should be learned how to laugh
- 17:27Speaker 1: like this. Let me show you how you laugh from
- 17:29Speaker 1: you and other people. You can't be enjoying their TV
- 17:31Speaker 1: and all this just how you lave what it is
- 17:37Speaker 1: real funny. That's gonna be hard. Yeah, Steve, put me out,
- 17:47Speaker 1: that's it. I don't give a damn what you want.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Here's another one. Don't let me walk in the house
- 17:56Speaker 1: and have to tell you to get out of my chip. Yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 1: that's a big one. You should only sit. I'm gonna
- 18:04Speaker 1: tell you the areas you are to sit here, kitchen,
- 18:09Speaker 1: your bed room, and occasionally in the bank. Don't be
- 18:18Speaker 1: taking read material in there what you focus? Focus, stare
- 18:25Speaker 1: at the toilet tissue role, How do your business? Get up,
- 18:29Speaker 1: get out, get out better? Count the little perforation holes
- 18:36Speaker 1: on the tilet tis like that in there? Okay, another one.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Take You didn't put it in the fridge. Don't touch
- 18:47Speaker 1: it in the that's the man. He bought one color.
- 18:53Speaker 1: That's all you reaching the touch. Don't be shifting stuff
- 18:57Speaker 1: around looking all the back read labels. You didn't. You
- 19:02Speaker 1: didn't put it in. Now get your hands off. I
- 19:06Speaker 1: like it. Man. When you come home from work, go
- 19:12Speaker 1: right to your rooms. Nothing in here, straight t rooms
- 19:22Speaker 1: all down the hallway, looking at all, look at where
- 19:28Speaker 1: is this in the picture? That's my damn grand mama.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Quit asking about her? Why are you roaming around? Right? So?
- 19:38Speaker 1: What is this? Th rules for living with the rules.
- 19:41Speaker 1: If you got to stay with somebody until you get
- 19:43Speaker 1: on your feet, I'm just giving you some dudes, and
- 19:46Speaker 1: don't so you don't stay there the whole time. Listen
- 19:51Speaker 1: to me. If I'm watching TV and I get up,
- 19:54Speaker 1: walk out that room, don't change your damn rum. Don't
- 19:59Speaker 1: mean I'm gone. Don't change that damning there watching it together,
- 20:06Speaker 1: not doles off. Watch when I was watching for our dough.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Let me on my eyes and natural geographic is going.
- 20:19Speaker 1: You're assing here watching all lord, all I should wake
- 20:25Speaker 1: up to when I went to sleep, Like, here's one
- 20:34Speaker 1: more so serious? Yeah this has happened, not a matter
- 20:38Speaker 1: of fact. Let me make this to laugh. You can
- 20:42Speaker 1: only have company where the company lives. Come over here
- 20:52Speaker 1: and I have a company. Hell yeah, wherever they stay.
- 20:54Speaker 1: You're go and be in the up company of your company.
- 20:57Speaker 1: All you want, but your company, come neck hell over here,
- 21:04Speaker 1: not in my house. Oh, everybody drinking glasses? Oh man, nephew,
- 21:09Speaker 1: Timmy's run that prank back right after this, Come on,

- 28:38Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Steve is here with some
- 28:42Speaker 1: depressing places. Steve, uh I was thinking of some depressing places.
- 28:50Speaker 1: You can be the places that get depressing. Like it's
- 28:54Speaker 1: depressing if you're in the car with somebody and they
- 28:58Speaker 1: got the radio player some music you can't stand, but
- 29:02Speaker 1: you can't say nothing because it ain't your car. Man,
- 29:07Speaker 1: you can be the prayer. You'll just be looking out
- 29:09Speaker 1: to win. Let your face be up against the glass.
- 29:13Speaker 1: You're gonna like three years like this. I tell you
- 29:21Speaker 1: something else. You ever throw a house party over three
- 29:23Speaker 1: people show up? Man, you're just in there. Man, you
- 29:29Speaker 1: know the sandwich is just drying out with the two picks,
- 29:31Speaker 1: and man, that's pretty bad. I tell you something else
- 29:38Speaker 1: depressing because I gotta go to Marrow in Atlanta. If
- 29:42Speaker 1: you go to the DMV and you number one, foe
- 29:47Speaker 1: two six, and they only on number eight seventy one,
- 29:54Speaker 1: it's six hundred more people for that's yeah, I tell
- 30:03Speaker 1: you something to depressing. This was me at Winton one time,
- 30:08Speaker 1: watching your child play sports. But they ain't work for damn. Really,
- 30:15Speaker 1: Winton was on the basketball team. I've never been so
- 30:19Speaker 1: embarrassed in my whole life. You're not to take off
- 30:26Speaker 1: piano or something did leave. No, I was. I took
- 30:29Speaker 1: him off the team. You take him on. I took
- 30:33Speaker 1: him off team. We're gonna keep it. Just say what
- 30:34Speaker 1: you do. I can tell right now you can't play bass.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I've been working with you, and this is team just
- 30:44Speaker 1: having these little white kids shaking and baking you. I'm watching.
- 30:48Speaker 1: You're crazy. Now, You're not gonna do that to me.
- 30:55Speaker 1: You're not gonna do that to me. He just out
- 30:57Speaker 1: here shaking it, baking y'all tweeting league, breaking your risk.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Chasce up by your horby. Now. I took him right
- 31:04Speaker 1: on office to man an come on three twenty one
- 31:18Speaker 1: and still came step back and knock out. I took
- 31:24Speaker 1: him off, he got out give only it's right here
- 31:32Speaker 1: and I'm sitting next to the white board. Father, What
- 31:36Speaker 1: do you mean, hey, great move, Caleb. He took by
- 31:41Speaker 1: a white boy name came right now, you're coming out
- 31:45Speaker 1: of basketball. Ain't the white boy ever been in the
- 31:48Speaker 1: NBA named Cameo. I'll tell you another place that's to press.
- 31:51Speaker 1: What's that? If you go to a sandals couple resort
- 31:56Speaker 1: by yourself, everybody hut up eating you over there eating
- 32:04Speaker 1: you on your night. Everybody woman find I'll tell you
- 32:10Speaker 1: another depressing plate right church, if you know you're going

- 32:25Speaker 1: fire is don't this about me? Hell? Fire in a
- 32:34Speaker 1: way you're gonna make it To tell you another depressing

- 33:19Speaker 1: tender and you just ugly. Yeah, yeah, that's the pressing.
- 33:25Speaker 1: That's bad. It's depressing. When the male man show up,
- 33:30Speaker 1: you think he got your income tact return he hand
- 33:35Speaker 1: you smoe damn be you think I'm gonna paid ease?
- 33:40Speaker 1: You ain't see nothing in your bad check your bag

- 33:54Speaker 1: drug store and pee on it and it ain't the
- 33:57Speaker 1: color you want. Problem. That's pretty depressed. Yeah, father, Lord,

- 37:09Speaker 1: didn't that Apollo too? Yeah, a little bit sad. You
- 37:17Speaker 1: know nothing player, they've been trying to tune the piano.
- 37:21Speaker 1: I just go over there and you can play. You
- 37:23Speaker 1: need to use that. Coming up more of the Steve
- 37:26Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show at thirty four after the hour. Everybody's
- 37:30Speaker 1: been asking me since I'm from Cleveland, Steve, how you
- 37:33Speaker 1: feel about Lebron leven Cleveland. Well, Lebron gave everything to
- 37:38Speaker 1: the city. We went to the finals four years in
- 37:41Speaker 1: the row. You can't ask for no more than that.
- 37:43Speaker 1: And he bought a title to a city they had
- 37:45Speaker 1: one in fifty two years. I've been there the whole time.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I wish Lebron the best. He's with the purple and
- 37:51Speaker 1: gold now that's good, and least the colors is good.
- 37:54Speaker 1: He's a Laker now, got big shoulders. He gotta live
- 37:57Speaker 1: up to a lot. But he Lebron James, we gonna
- 38:00Speaker 1: do no, I'm not. I'm pulling for the Lakers now
- 38:02Speaker 1: the cow we won't be back in the championship for years.
- 38:07Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show. Okay, there
- 38:11Speaker 1: is a new trend that has people throwing away toilet paper.
- 38:17Speaker 1: You don't need that anymore. Uh, don't even think about it.
- 38:21Speaker 1: There's for something called a family cloth. What's that? It's
- 38:26Speaker 1: basically reusable. Keyword in this reusable small cloth squares if
- 38:33Speaker 1: people used to wipe and then they put in a bath,
- 38:37Speaker 1: then they put in a basket. There's such a big
- 38:40Speaker 1: trend where there are a lot of different options on
- 38:43Speaker 1: the market. Wait wait, wait, wait wait wait. So so
- 38:45Speaker 1: if I come to your house, I'm going to use
- 38:48Speaker 1: your clothes? Now, okay, a lot of things wrong with
- 38:55Speaker 1: that question you just asked me. First of all, it's wiping. Okay, no,
- 39:00Speaker 1: not to my house, no, no, okay, here, let me finish.
- 39:06Speaker 1: This is really a big trend. Now there are a
- 39:07Speaker 1: lot of different options on the market that come in
- 39:09Speaker 1: a wide variety of patterns. Toilet paper make a difference,
- 39:13Speaker 1: all right. Toilet paper is one of those papers that
- 39:18Speaker 1: staples that people rarely leave the grocery store without. But
- 39:23Speaker 1: it seems that more and more people are turning away
- 39:24Speaker 1: from the standard toilet paper now and there they use
- 39:28Speaker 1: these family cloths because their environmentally safe. What these people?
- 39:33Speaker 1: What I listen, this is a new trend. You're going
- 39:36Speaker 1: to be hearing about this. Let us be the first
- 39:39Speaker 1: to tell you about this. So pannicky, I am especially
- 39:48Speaker 1: about bathroom stuff. No, for what happen when you get
- 39:51Speaker 1: in in Suley. You don't forgot your clothes. It's in
- 39:54Speaker 1: the basket, didn't you Just hear me say they throw
- 39:58Speaker 1: it away and they put it in the ask if
- 40:00Speaker 1: they use it, and then they put it in. Understand
- 40:02Speaker 1: that the same person uses the cloud over and yeah,
- 40:05Speaker 1: the family it's called a family cloth. Don't we love
- 40:08Speaker 1: to his house and he's got initials on the towels.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Don't use don't you gotta grab you know you're not
- 40:15Speaker 1: supposed to use those good towels. Not that's what you're
- 40:18Speaker 1: talking about. When when it says he and her, why
- 40:26Speaker 1: do you keep looking at I didn't make these? Okay,
- 40:28Speaker 1: let me store I just I'm just the messenger here, guys,
- 40:32Speaker 1: But I can't help but think you got these closes. Man,
- 40:36Speaker 1: I would like to be in the house when you
- 40:37Speaker 1: hear somebody to say, who did you use your mama quill?
- 40:41Speaker 1: You didn't use the coda grandmamas wild Wallace can't use
- 40:46Speaker 1: the cloth. She don't need a bed spread. Okay, some
- 40:51Speaker 1: people just only use the cloths for number one, that's it, okay,
- 40:56Speaker 1: but number then they go back to the teep he
- 41:01Speaker 1: number you called a TV. You got it? You got
- 41:03Speaker 1: you called up that it's got. Yeah, I'm trying. People
- 41:09Speaker 1: are Indians, lea girl, you're throwing me all Native American
- 41:15Speaker 1: Native Americans. I'm sorry, I don't know the correct Well
- 41:18Speaker 1: you should by now, okay. But when you love some
- 41:21Speaker 1: house and you see a sham wow in there, you
- 41:26Speaker 1: just go wow. Normally doc yeah, but yeah, some people
- 41:32Speaker 1: just use them for that, but other people use them
- 41:34Speaker 1: for everything. The microfiber, well, let's see, they're they're just cloth, okay,
- 41:40Speaker 1: some cloth. And what color they come in? You don't
- 41:45Speaker 1: want white? Do you want white? You don't want that's
- 41:53Speaker 1: probably gold color. I don't even know when the clean.
- 42:01Speaker 1: And on top of that one, if you didn't put
- 42:03Speaker 1: your clothes in the bath, yeah, you gotta look, you
- 42:07Speaker 1: just set you us on the counter. Somebody got to
- 42:09Speaker 1: wash their face at the ball. This is just the
- 42:11Speaker 1: reason now you have to go around with bigger purses, Carla,
- 42:15Speaker 1: because you got to call it carry your own toilet paper,
- 42:18Speaker 1: no toilet paper, because if you go to someone's house
- 42:21Speaker 1: and they just have a cloth your own t peek.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Yeah you're on. Yeah you have to. Yeah, we wipe
- 42:29Speaker 1: when you travel and you go through T s A.
- 42:31Speaker 1: You need to let them know that wasn't in that
- 42:35Speaker 1: and don't get it mixed up with the dish cloth
- 42:37Speaker 1: whatever you you see, how happen in there, washing washing dishes,

- 44:01Speaker 1: When the barber is cutting your hair and his he
- 44:06Speaker 1: is private be pushing the chair, it's an awkward feeling
- 44:10Speaker 1: most me and no about it. This is the ball.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Do you know what I'm talking about? You? Yes, I
- 44:15Speaker 1: know exactly what you're talking about. Man, You got to
- 44:19Speaker 1: you gotta sit in the barbershop with your arms folded.
- 44:21Speaker 1: That's almost in your lap. But is that because his
- 44:26Speaker 1: hands are occupied in your hands? Yeah, so he rotates
- 44:30Speaker 1: the chair with his and that you can't stand that.
- 44:36Speaker 1: I can't stand that. That's crazy. It is the bober shop, Brady,
- 44:42Speaker 1: how you doing? Man? My name is Dennis Man. I
- 44:44Speaker 1: got a hair cut from you a couple of weeks ago. Hey, listen, um,
- 44:49Speaker 1: I wanted to get an appointment with you. Man. Uh
- 44:51Speaker 1: like I said, I was there a couple of weeks ago. Man,
- 44:53Speaker 1: my first time getting haircut from you did real, real
- 44:56Speaker 1: good jobs. I want to say thank you for that right.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Do you have any um any time available on Thursday? Yeah? Yeah,
- 45:05Speaker 1: for sure. What's what's what's your name here? Bro? Dennis? Man? Dennis? Okay, Dennis?
- 45:12Speaker 1: Why Dennis? About three o'clock, man, something of that nature.
- 45:15Speaker 1: I mean, you know I only work apportmans. You know
- 45:18Speaker 1: three o'clock you'll be there. Okay. Hey, I got a
- 45:23Speaker 1: little bit of situation though, man. That happened last time
- 45:26Speaker 1: I was there. I kind of wanted to talk to
- 45:28Speaker 1: you about it, man, because it kind of called me
- 45:30Speaker 1: off guard. So I want to do how I let you,
- 45:33Speaker 1: man and see if we could rectify the problem. For
- 45:36Speaker 1: I came back up there. What happened? What somebody dispect
- 45:38Speaker 1: your something? I mean, what else to do? What? What? Um?
- 45:42Speaker 1: It really was somebody? Man? It was it? It was
- 45:45Speaker 1: it was actually you. Whoa, here's deal? Man? When you
- 45:50Speaker 1: was cutting my hair, when it when it was time
- 45:52Speaker 1: to turn the chair, you didn't turn the chair with
- 45:57Speaker 1: with with with with your hand man. See brainy man,
- 46:00Speaker 1: you you turned the chair with your with your private part. Oh,
- 46:04Speaker 1: come on safe. I mean I'm a professional man. I've
- 46:07Speaker 1: been doing this fifteen years, right right. I don't think
- 46:10Speaker 1: it's anything deliberate. Man. I think you just do it unconsciously, man,
- 46:14Speaker 1: because you know you'd be leaning over on the chair cutting,
- 46:17Speaker 1: and I think you don't realize, you know, you'd be
- 46:19Speaker 1: turning the chair with your private part instead of doing
- 46:22Speaker 1: it with your hand. Man. And see, my hand got
- 46:25Speaker 1: caught out there, and I saw it out the corner
- 46:28Speaker 1: my eyes. I saw your private part coming towards my hand.
- 46:30Speaker 1: I moved it just in time. You understand, but not
- 46:34Speaker 1: not see? Then I'm not understanding something. But because I don't,
- 46:38Speaker 1: I don't. We don't operate like that, mind, yes, because
- 46:40Speaker 1: you know I don't make mistakes like that. But I mean,
- 46:43Speaker 1: you know I don't know you. You're sure you're talking
- 46:45Speaker 1: to the right person, man, Yeah, I mean ain't you
- 46:47Speaker 1: the third chair on the right when you walk in
- 46:49Speaker 1: the door. Yeah that's correct. Okay, that what I'm talking about, man.
- 46:52Speaker 1: And you cut me two weeks ago, and like I said,
- 46:55Speaker 1: I really like my hair cut, so I wanted to
- 46:56Speaker 1: call back and rectify this problem. But you know you're
- 46:59Speaker 1: gonna turn the chair with your hand and not your
- 47:01Speaker 1: pride part. If not, we're gonna have a problem. Okay, bro,
- 47:04Speaker 1: Now I feel it, and I understand your your complaint
- 47:08Speaker 1: and everything. I mean, I'm not understanding what you're saying,
- 47:11Speaker 1: but but I don't do that, you know, I mean
- 47:13Speaker 1: we we will be glad. You know what I'm saying.
- 47:15Speaker 1: You another cut or whatever. You understand me, you know,
- 47:18Speaker 1: but but I don't move nobody no around with my problem. Man.
- 47:22Speaker 1: So that's just not me. Okay, I understand what you're saying,
- 47:25Speaker 1: but I want you to hear what I'm saying. If
- 47:27Speaker 1: you put your private on there at all when I
- 47:31Speaker 1: come in there Thursday, then I promise you're gonna jump
- 47:34Speaker 1: up and we're gonna have a problem. Well what let's
- 47:37Speaker 1: see not now now right there? And I'm not I'm
- 47:40Speaker 1: not feeling that jump up having a problem because you know,
- 47:42Speaker 1: you don't really know me like that. Bro, you know
- 47:44Speaker 1: what I mean. I'm trying to be professional here and
- 47:46Speaker 1: and solve your little issue that you got your understanding,
- 47:49Speaker 1: But I ad just jumping up and stuff you're talking
- 47:52Speaker 1: about doing. I don't know. I'm trying to come in
- 47:55Speaker 1: and get a nice hair cut and walk out with
- 47:57Speaker 1: a nice hair cut. What I don't want to do.
- 48:00Speaker 1: It's come down there, you're leaning, oh, put your private part, well,
- 48:03Speaker 1: I got my arms in my hands and I gotta
- 48:05Speaker 1: help you. Now, that's what I don't dude, you're starting.
- 48:09Speaker 1: You're touching the wrong, talking about what you're talking about.
- 48:11Speaker 1: I'm touching you wrong. You touched me wrong two weeks
- 48:14Speaker 1: ago when you put your private on my hand. Man,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I don't know how to touch you. You feel to
- 48:20Speaker 1: say what I don't talking to you? Know? Hey, dog all,
- 48:25Speaker 1: I'm trying to say. You're the brother trying to come
- 48:27Speaker 1: in and get his hair cut and walk out feeling
- 48:30Speaker 1: like a man, and not walk out feeling violated. Man
- 48:33Speaker 1: because you didn't turn the chair with your private part
- 48:36Speaker 1: all up against my hand, in my elbow and stuff. Man,
- 48:39Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. You know I'm trying to
- 48:44Speaker 1: talk to you. But let you don't run me wrong.
- 48:47Speaker 1: I ain't no punk flying here. And you understanding they
- 48:49Speaker 1: ain't no punk flying that. Then't keep it off my hand.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. Oh yeah, stupid. So you're understanding,
- 49:00Speaker 1: and look quicker play over here, salon. It's a brother shop.
- 49:09Speaker 1: I hear what you're saying, but let me explain something.
- 49:10Speaker 1: You We're you using your hips and your private section
- 49:13Speaker 1: like a pinball machine and I'm gonna tell you right
- 49:16Speaker 1: now what I will put something on you. You come on,
- 49:20Speaker 1: understand me? Play. Come on, dude, I'm just trying to
- 49:25Speaker 1: come and get a hair cut. I'm trying to get
- 49:27Speaker 1: a hair cut and walk out of there like a man,
- 49:29Speaker 1: feeling like a man. I bet you open you know,
- 49:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna open you up. Boy? Do you want to
- 49:33Speaker 1: stay here? Now? Now? You know? Now? Come on? You know?
- 49:38Speaker 1: Tell you how to do something to your what's the
- 49:40Speaker 1: one to be salon? This is a brother shop? Good?
- 49:45Speaker 1: You understand me? What? I ain't got time. I'm not saying,
- 49:51Speaker 1: damn O that I got something. I have a cut,
- 49:53Speaker 1: right and I ain't got tiling. You're running your dumb
- 49:55Speaker 1: back over here. You're gonna come over here to to stay.
- 49:58Speaker 1: I bet you did. I don't go. I don't do it.
- 50:03Speaker 1: You feel you know what? You man? You'll come up,
- 50:07Speaker 1: come on your show and you come up to you. Okay, okay,
- 50:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna putting my real name on my shirt. Them
- 50:15Speaker 1: you want to know what my real name is. That's
- 50:16Speaker 1: what's up. That's what's up. Then you might want to
- 50:19Speaker 1: you want you want to know what name gonna be
- 50:21Speaker 1: on the shirt? I want to like. Then the name

- 50:49Speaker 1: I got one more thing to ask you, man, what
- 50:51Speaker 1: is what is the baddest and I mean the baddest

- 51:15Speaker 1: Let me sea maybe cutting, you know, maybe in your head.
- 51:17Speaker 1: But then when they trying to rotate that wait wait,
- 51:19Speaker 1: let video they're cutting. Then all of a sudden he's
- 51:25Speaker 1: a hold off for the rotate and they tiding to
- 51:27Speaker 1: win like that and your hand be right there ten
- 51:33Speaker 1: times of that per hat cut. Hey man, we got
- 51:36Speaker 1: proplem like Hula Hooper. Yeah you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 51:41Speaker 1: yeah yeah, moving up him Yeah, female bubble, Oh come on,
- 51:51Speaker 1: Hula who me? I love female barbers. This is how
- 51:55Speaker 1: I know I had a bad hair cut one time
- 51:57Speaker 1: I was at a white club and it got y'all out.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Who cut your strawberry? Letter? Coming up? You're listening to
- 52:06Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it's time for
- 52:09Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter. If you're in the situation and you
- 52:12Speaker 1: need some advice, all you have to do is go
- 52:15Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey f M dot com and submit your
- 52:19Speaker 1: Strawberry letter, and Steve and I might read your letter
- 52:21Speaker 1: on the air. All right, let's go, Tommy, buggle up
- 52:25Speaker 1: and hold on tight. We got it for you. Here
- 52:27Speaker 1: it is Strawberry letter. Alright. Subject, don't hold my past
- 52:31Speaker 1: against me. Dear Stephen Shirley, I have a question and
- 52:34Speaker 1: I need your advice. When should I tell a new
- 52:37Speaker 1: love interest that I have been to prison. I am
- 52:40Speaker 1: not the average parole though. I am an older woman
- 52:44Speaker 1: that served a lengthy prison term as a first offender
- 52:47Speaker 1: for transporting drugs. Since my release from prison, I've earned
- 52:52Speaker 1: a degree and I have a great career for many years,
- 52:56Speaker 1: I own a home, and I'm an upstanding member of
- 52:58Speaker 1: my community. No one would ever believe that I have
- 53:02Speaker 1: had a considerable amount of my life controlled by the
- 53:04Speaker 1: Department of Corrections. So when is it appropriate to disclose
- 53:09Speaker 1: this information to a man. I don't want to share
- 53:12Speaker 1: it up front because I don't want to be judged unfairly.
- 53:15Speaker 1: I also don't want to wait too long because I
- 53:18Speaker 1: don't want to shot the man in my last relationship.
- 53:22Speaker 1: My man did not hold it against me. We broke
- 53:24Speaker 1: it off for other reasons since him. I met a
- 53:27Speaker 1: man and we were talking about people being in prison
- 53:30Speaker 1: and he had he had strong views against it, so
- 53:33Speaker 1: I didn't pursue anything further with him to avoid telling
- 53:37Speaker 1: him about my past. I want desperately to be in love,
- 53:40Speaker 1: but I'm afraid to be open and honest with guys
- 53:43Speaker 1: I meet. It may not be you know, it may
- 53:47Speaker 1: not be that big of a deal, and I'm worried
- 53:49Speaker 1: for nothing. What are your thoughts? Well, um, I think
- 53:53Speaker 1: the timing is everything, and I think you should be
- 53:56Speaker 1: honest with him, And you're right you shouldn't wait too
- 53:59Speaker 1: long if he's a new love interest. I'm assuming that
- 54:02Speaker 1: you guys are dating and going out to dinner and
- 54:04Speaker 1: such things. So even though it's hard for you to
- 54:07Speaker 1: bring it up because you don't want to be judged,
- 54:09Speaker 1: you know you have to bring it up. So one
- 54:11Speaker 1: night at dinner as early as possible, you know, if
- 54:14Speaker 1: not the first date, the second date, go ahead and
- 54:17Speaker 1: tell him. You know, people have to like you for
- 54:19Speaker 1: who you are. You You you did what you did,
- 54:22Speaker 1: You paid your debt, to society. You spent many years
- 54:25Speaker 1: in in prison. You said, now that's over. You know,
- 54:28Speaker 1: everyone gets a second chance. I think you deserve a
- 54:31Speaker 1: second chance, and you've proved that with your second chance
- 54:34Speaker 1: you've become a better person. You say, you're an upstanding
- 54:37Speaker 1: member uh in your community, you own your own home,
- 54:40Speaker 1: you've you've had a great career for many years, you
- 54:42Speaker 1: have a degree. So I mean you're you're clearly a
- 54:45Speaker 1: changed person. So if the person who you're with uh
- 54:50Speaker 1: liked you, and uh, you know, if you once you
- 54:53Speaker 1: tell them, excuse me, they like you for who you are,
- 54:56Speaker 1: They're not gonna hold that against you. I mean, there
- 54:58Speaker 1: have been many people out there that have on time
- 55:00Speaker 1: and have gone gone on to do upstanding things, and
- 55:03Speaker 1: I think you're one of those. So UM, tell him,
- 55:06Speaker 1: tell him as soon as possible. First, just if not
- 55:08Speaker 1: the first date, definitely the second date. Steve. First of all,
- 55:12Speaker 1: congratulations on picking yourself up and turning yourself around. Shall
- 55:17Speaker 1: I not say yourself? Let me say praise to God
- 55:21Speaker 1: for picking you up and turning you around. That God
- 55:24Speaker 1: is in the forgiving business. God is in the delivery business.
- 55:28Speaker 1: God is in to make your dream come true. By
- 55:31Speaker 1: you are a result of that, the fact that you're
- 55:34Speaker 1: an older woman and you serve the lengthy prison term
- 55:37Speaker 1: as a first defender for transporting drugs. You've earned a degree,
- 55:41Speaker 1: you have had a great career for many years, you
- 55:44Speaker 1: own a home, and I am outstanding, upstanding member of
- 55:48Speaker 1: your community. No one would ever believe you did a
- 55:51Speaker 1: considerable out of time control by the Department of Correction.
- 55:54Speaker 1: So when is it appropriate to disclose this information to
- 55:58Speaker 1: a man? I don't want to share it up front,
- 56:01Speaker 1: and you shouldn't. This is nothing you need to share
- 56:05Speaker 1: upfront now. Surely gives good advice. I happened to disagree
- 56:10Speaker 1: with sharing this with a man on the first or
- 56:12Speaker 1: second day. First and second day don't mean I think
- 56:17Speaker 1: you reveal this information to a man once you all
- 56:21Speaker 1: are about to be intimate. Then the relationship going somewhere,
- 56:27Speaker 1: y'all just talking and dating. What is this now? If
- 56:30Speaker 1: you feel like it's about to get intimate, then you
- 56:35Speaker 1: need to reveal this information. And I'll tell you why.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Because a man is now more vested in you, He's
- 56:42Speaker 1: developed feelings for you without, as you say, being judgment
- 56:47Speaker 1: Because remember the one guy she was liking and she
- 56:50Speaker 1: tried to share it up front. You know, uh, he
- 56:55Speaker 1: set up and had really strong feelings about people that
- 56:58Speaker 1: have been to prison with his Ask Carl, he's out,
- 57:02Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So that has happened to
- 57:04Speaker 1: her so rightfully. So she's concerned about running off a
- 57:09Speaker 1: good man too earlier. So first and second date is
- 57:12Speaker 1: out of the question. I disagree. I think it's something
- 57:16Speaker 1: you keep. Let a person get to know you, get
- 57:20Speaker 1: to understand how you are and feel you without having
- 57:23Speaker 1: that information to taint who you really are, because it
- 57:26Speaker 1: can happen, cause people are human beings. I got Should
- 57:30Speaker 1: nobody judge everybody? Should faith take your faith value for
- 57:33Speaker 1: what you are. That ain't how people operating. Let's not
- 57:37Speaker 1: be naive. So simple you wait until you're about to
- 57:40Speaker 1: become intimate and then you drop it on period. Now
- 57:45Speaker 1: anybody don't like that information, I'm sorry, but that's when
- 57:49Speaker 1: I would do it now, any question, Shirley, I've been
- 57:52Speaker 1: to the pin. You say that right there for y'all star.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Now when you when it's about to become intimate. Now,
- 57:57Speaker 1: I don't have any questions. We we do just to
- 58:00Speaker 1: I guess no, I guess we do disagree on that
- 58:04Speaker 1: I think you should the earlier, the better, you know,
- 58:07Speaker 1: and and give the person, the other person, the option
- 58:10Speaker 1: of whether they want to continue the relationship. People do
- 58:12Speaker 1: have strong opinions about you know, people who have been
- 58:16Speaker 1: to prison. So I just say the earlier, the better,
- 58:19Speaker 1: timing is everything, of course, and you know, give them
- 58:22Speaker 1: the option of whether they want to hang in there
- 58:24Speaker 1: or get out. That's my opinion. Hanging out for one relationship. Yeah,
- 58:30Speaker 1: gotten a degree, got it. We'll finish this woman, Okay,
- 58:34Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back with part two of Steve's
- 58:36Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three after the hours you're
- 58:39Speaker 1: listening to Steve show. For those of you out there
- 58:43Speaker 1: who own a car in a home, you know more
- 58:45Speaker 1: than anyone else, those things didn't just fall into your lap.
- 58:49Speaker 1: You made it all happen by staying on your grind
- 58:51Speaker 1: and working for and now it's time let's stay farm
- 58:54Speaker 1: do the work of protecting it with your own personal
- 58:56Speaker 1: state farm agent, because they understand just how much at
- 58:59Speaker 1: home car mean to you and will always be that
- 59:02Speaker 1: to help you when you need him. Stay Farm, here
- 59:04Speaker 1: to help the hustle go right, and here to help
- 59:06Speaker 1: life go right. Good morning, this is your boy, Kevin Heart,
- 59:10Speaker 1: wishing you all a happy being saved. Fourth of July
- 59:12Speaker 1: and you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Joe. All right, Steve,
- 59:17Speaker 1: come on, let's go with part two of your response
- 59:19Speaker 1: to today's Strawberry letter subject don't hold my past against me?
- 59:24Speaker 1: See and the reason I think that the well this
- 59:30Speaker 1: woman is questioning she needs some advice because she's been
- 59:34Speaker 1: to prison before for a large part of her life,
- 59:38Speaker 1: and she's wondering when is the right time to inform
- 59:40Speaker 1: a man that she has been to prison because she's
- 59:45Speaker 1: not the average parole lead. She says, she's an older woman, Sir,
- 59:49Speaker 1: the lengthy prison time as a first defender for transporting
- 59:52Speaker 1: drug but since her release from prison, she's earned a degree,
- 59:57Speaker 1: she has a great career for many years, she's a
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: homeowner and an upstanding member of her community. No one
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: would ever believe that I've had a considerable amount of
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: my life controlled by the Department of Correction. I think
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: you have a fabulous story to do. I think that
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you are a story of redemption, overcoming, forgiveness and God's
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: great I think you have an incredible story to tell.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: I think if you told that story, if you peel
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: back and remove the layer of secrecy. As the story,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: this is my story, this is what I'm from and
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: this is what I've become. More people would resonate with you.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: I really feel that way. Now. As far as dating
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: a man, if you don't want to take that route,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: then I don't think you should tell him on the
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: first or second day. I think you should wait until
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: you're into about to become because you all know, Okay,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: when I get him, when I see this, women know what? What?
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: What if they're gonna have sex only for you know
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: how we get to that? What? What? While we talkt him?
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: She already if you listened to the letter, it's not
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: a woman like should she wait to the both uns?
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Where's my team? Jay? All day? Don't you? Ada? Makes sense?
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: One more time, Jake, because I don't believe what you
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: just said. I don't believe you said what you just said?
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: She should she wait to them both Una? I know
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: you like what you see, but don't mind fight nack
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: it though. You know that right you hired him, Steve
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: and the other one is your blood story as a
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: story redemption and overcome to write a book about it
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: to mentor young girls to go into prisons and tell
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: your story. I think your life has great value to
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: I think your story, your past, is your story. But
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: you can stand up and make the announcement. I've held
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: this from you off for so many years because I
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: was a shame. But I'm no longer a shamed. I'm
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: actually proud. I'm actually filled with God's grace now and
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I want to share story. In nineteen I was convicted
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: for drug traffic I got caught up in a situation
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I was young. I've been to jail for twenty years.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I got out in two thousand five. Now a lot
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: of people gonna start clear, not come on hard. Some
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: people there, okay, so the ones that are left right,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: So we're gonna see some walk out. But give the
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: people that those little ones that are with them. Okay,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: do Christians anyway? But dog, couldn't we tell them like
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: right after we do? We can you tell me? Then?
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Let's keep through it your way. All that ain't on
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: my mind. I don't want jail on my mind. Why
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: we do? I know you enjoyed it, but that's how
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: it's gonna go. Jack, It's going down now, it's coming up.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Taking the motor you you got caught up, junior, I
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: got one more, Just one more? You yell out lights out,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I'm sorry. There a big sign or something like, could
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: you roll over and get my paints? I'm under the bid.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: You laying on my pain. I agree that she has
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: a great, great, great story. We just we disagree on
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: when she should tell him. Yeah, but I think story
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: and just take the take the whole veil of secrecy
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: off of it, man, and tell your story. See if
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you tell your story that keep people from telling Yeah,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: you tell your own truth. You reveal it what they're
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: gonna say exactly. She used to sell truths, Well, yeah
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I did. But he saved me. God gott to save
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: you from something. I think you have a great story
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: of redemption. I say, pulled back the curtain yourself and
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: walk out on that and who's gonna be, What you're
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: gonna be, what you'll find out? Who you cool people?
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Is right? That's all you gotta do is it's pull
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: the curtain back on that plane and let him sit
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: there and watch that for a minute. You'll find out
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: who what you do? You can sing, oh don't you
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: knew that? Sound working on the chain? Dag? Really? My

- 1:18:08Speaker 1: stop talking to you? Yes, it's doing. Thank you guys
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: for your health. These are ways that men we can
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: do these things and make men leave us alone and
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: stop trying to holler at us what you got or
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: just standing there look at it and start peeing. Right,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: just be right back and just looking so you know
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: where that happens. Continent, Yes, just oh he's so gone.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: Oh I can't believe this is happening again, Draw this
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: from your own experiences. That's okay, Yeah, that's what it's sounds.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: All right, come on closing out. Yeah, this is easy.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: This is simplest ladies. This one's right here. If you
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: don't have the courage for a lot of stuff and
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: you just want to find it, just get this dude
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: out your face. Here's one simple way to do it.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Develop bad. Oh oh yeah, that's a one coffee onion.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: All right, listen, uh it's coming up. It's more of
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. A new study suggested writing a to
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: do list before bed could improve sleep. Okay, it really does.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: I got this from Steve. Steven said, you know, write
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: it out and it really does help you know what
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: you're gonna do when you wake up, you have an
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: idea of how your day's gonna go. I'm gonna do this,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: and then you see yourself accomplished stuff. I didn't. Never
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: finished the whole damn list. But I'm just saying, you know,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: you get a start editing because I do write list,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: but not right before I go to back, and I
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: don't have a set time to do them. I'll say that,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: all right. Study participants who spent five minutes writing a
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: list of things they had to get done fell asleep
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: nine minutes faster than those who wrote a list of
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: things they already accomplished. It is believed that making a
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: to do list may offload those concerns, resulting in less
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: worry before bed. All right, uh. Study out of Baylor
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: University split fifty seven university students into two groups, with
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: both groups asked to take five minutes before bed to
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: make a list. One group was tasked with writing a
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: list of all the things they had to get done
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: in the day or days ahead, while the other had
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: to write a list of what they completed the previous day.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: Both groups were told to go to bed right after
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: making their lists. So, Steve, here's your question. Do you
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: have trouble sleeping? Are you constantly kept up worrying about
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: things you have to get done? Sometimes? You know, I
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: do have trouble sleeping about the worries of you know,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: my life, what I need to do, what I'm trying
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: to accomplish. You know, I have moments like that. It's
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: not often, but I do have moments like. When I
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: have it, it's usually the reason I don't know whatever
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: you're trying to accompan dog, I've got a lot that
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I'm trying to accomplish this year, though, good question. Good question.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: To revamp and reorganize my company to make it more efficient.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: But one of my goals is to hire really top
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: flight people because I've I've been generous to a fault.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: I've given people opportunities who have taken advantage of that. Uh,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: And then you know, I feel sorry for their families
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: and stuff, and I keep them on way pass when
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: they should be gone. And for the first time, I'm
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: having a system put in place where people are accountable
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: for accomplishing certain things and if you don't, then you
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: lose your job yourself, and it takes the onus off
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: of me having to fire somebody if you don't perform
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: up to the requirements, then you lose your position. So
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: so so will you actually tell them or you have
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: someone you have someone you know I have fired. I mean,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: you know I have things in place now. I'm not
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: so bogged down with the technical aspects of my life.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: And that's one of the things that I've been doing wrong.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: For years. I've been involved in every aspect of my life,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: which helps me because I want to have no but
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: it worried it's just too much micro managing in terms
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: of being involved in everything. Right, I don't micro manage
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: because I do give people to freedom, but in giving
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: them that freedom, they've taken advantage of my business. And
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: so now they know I'm busy, so they never perform
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: and they just keep getting their check. You know. It
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: woke me up. I realized, I said, in my company,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: I'm the only person who has to come to work.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: Other people can miss. I have to perform and I
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: have to make the grade other people don't have. I
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: have no one else in my company has to do that.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: That stops in two thousand and eight. That's on the tree.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: Does that answer your question, nephew, A right, coming up.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: It's more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show at thirty

- 1:26:36Speaker 1: pio player. They'd be trying to tune the piano. I
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: just go over there and sit down and stars, you
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: can play. You need to use that, you need to
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: use that. I gotta brush up, don't play. No, no, no,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: I don't want to be man or man. All right,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: great job always coming up, coming up Steve's club using
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: remarks at forty nine after the hour, Gather round everyone
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, here we are last break
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: of the day. Thank you all for listening. As always, Steve,
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: come on and take us home with your closing remarks today.
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: I have some really really good information. I'm really really
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: pleased with this line of thinking because everybody has them,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: everybody has to deal with them, everybody faces it. It's
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: just so many people lose the point of it. You know,
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: the thing about going through something, I think you can
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: go through something better if you know there's a point
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: to it, you know what I mean. People go to
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: the gym to work out if they're trying to get
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: to a certain point. The moment you don't see the
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: point of it, going to the gym becomes ridiculous to you.
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: It becomes harder to you because it's all of a sudden,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: it doesn't make sense. So what I want to show
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: you is how to look at the point of something.
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: And the thing that I'm gonna talk to you about
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: is something that everybody faces when they're trying to be successful,
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: because everybody is going to go through some difficult times. Everybody.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: I don't care who you are, You're going to have
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: some difficult times. Everybody is going to have some challenges, challenges, difficulties, setbacks.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: You're going to have this. But listen to me. All
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: of this is part of the process to succeed. When
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: you are presented with these setbacks, these difficulties, and these challenges,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: I want you to understand what they actually are. They
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: are actually test. Everybody gets tested. The reason you have
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: to have the test it is because tests are presented
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: to you to see if you're willing to go through
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: the process. It's merely just to see if you're willing
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: to go through what it takes. The challenges, the setbacks,
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: the difficulties, the tests are just there to see if
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: you are willing to go through the process. Now, in
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: being willing to go through the process, it assures you
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: something that when you pass the test and you reach
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: your goal, that you will have a level of appreciation
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: for it. I'll give you an example. Somebody use your card.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: I don't recommend that they're not gonna take care of
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: your card or where you do. Because they didn't pay
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: for they're not making a note on it. They didn't
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: have to struggle to get the down payment. They didn't
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: have to make sure their credit was right. They didn't
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: walk in the bank and get turned down a couple
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: of times, didn't go back and fix their credit. Now
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: they got up. That's why if you rent out your
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: room to somebody, they're not gonna take care of your
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: room like you take care of your house, because they
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: didn't go through the process to get it. All they
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: wanted was the room. Because they didn't have to fill
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: out the credit report. They didn't go down here. They
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: don't have the mortgage. They don't know what it took
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: to have to own this house. That's why they didn't
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: take care of their yard, because they've written. Some people
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: who writt don't take care of property because they ain't days.
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: Now that's not all writtens. I'm just talking about the
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: case of some Because when you go through the test,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: it causes you to have an appreciation for now. The
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: tests are necessary. The test teaches you things. The test
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: provides you with a lesson. Tests are merely lessons. You're
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: gonna see these tests again, and when you see them again,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: they won't appear is nearly as difficult because you've already
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: taken the test before and you've already passed it. The
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: test also strengthens you. All these tests you have it,
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: it's strengthens you. It's like lifting weights. Oh it's heavy
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: right now. If you put them fifties in your hands,
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: that's heavy weight. But if you keep lifting fifties after
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: a while, you can lift seventies. But the fifties. But
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: guess what the fifties did. That was so hard that
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: you felt like dropping, and you need to spot it.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: They made you stronger. Though the tests make you stronger.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: The next thing that the test does for you is
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: it makes you experienced. Because now that you have these
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: tests under your belt, you know something you can turn
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: around and share with people how to get past the
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: tests because you've seen them before. This is the reason
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: that you have challenges, setbacks, and difficultures because you are
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: being tested. So when God gives you the thing that
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: you're asking for you will have a level of appreciation
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: for it. You will have learned the lessons that it
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: takes to maintain it. You will have been strengthened by
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: the process, and you will become experienced by the process.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: Here is the last and main thing that the test does.
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: For these tests that they're presented to you. Old people
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: have said it a thousand times. You cannot have a
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: testimony without the test. How can you share this experience
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: with anybody? How do you tell a young person what
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: to do if you ain't been through nothing. How can
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: you teach me how to play golf and you don't
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: play golf? It's impossible. You can't be the swim coach
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: and you can't swim. I'm sorry you can't. You got
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: to have gone through the process. It's the process and
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: the test that gets you to the point. But you
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: can't have a testimony without a test. You'll have nothing
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: to say in your life. If you've never passed any tests,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: you will have no story to tell. So all of
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: you that are being tested, you're working on your story. Now,
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: what story will you tell your children? What story will
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: you tell your grandchildren? What story will you tell young
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: people who need memery. What story will you tell people
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: who they look up to you and they think you've
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: got something, What story will you tell You've got to
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: be tested to make it happen. Past the test, deal
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: with them and you'll be fine. Those are my closing
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: remarks today. Have a great weekend. Thank you, you have
