- 1:21Speaker 1: heart or text I Heeart to five hundred, five hundred
- 1:24Speaker 1: my next two guests. It all started in February seventeen.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Two very talented NFL football players and a banker. Almost
- 1:31Speaker 1: sounds like a joke. Two dudes walking the ball, you know,
- 1:34Speaker 1: and I decided they wanted to open their own g
- 1:36Speaker 1: GS cupcake store. So the three, both from the University
- 1:41Speaker 1: of Texas graduates. I'm from Houston, Texas, so I have
- 1:43Speaker 1: an affinity to these Texas boys, decided to start a
- 1:46Speaker 1: business plan to bringing their own cupcake store to Austin, Texas, which, naturally,
- 1:51Speaker 1: you know, go to your roots, go to your base
- 1:52Speaker 1: of your popularity. You have seen this dispair on a
- 1:56Speaker 1: very popular Microsoft pro commercials been in heavy rotation than
- 2:01Speaker 1: the NFL season and the playoffs. Please work on the
- 2:03Speaker 1: money making conversation the very talented former teammates of the
- 2:06Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans, Brian A. Rock Pope and Michael Griffin. How
- 2:14Speaker 1: do you doing That's that's a great introduction. Well, I
- 2:17Speaker 1: have to because I'm excited about, you know, entrepreneurs That
- 2:20Speaker 1: shows about entrepreneurship is EPI. What's about letting people know
- 2:24Speaker 1: that you can reinvent yourself. And I have a when
- 2:27Speaker 1: I the guests to come on this show, and it's
- 2:29Speaker 1: allowed me to meet a lot of influential people. I
- 2:31Speaker 1: consider you influential because of the fact that you're athletes.
- 2:34Speaker 1: And that's why I have to bring up the fact
- 2:36Speaker 1: that you're graduates of the University of Texas, because a
- 2:38Speaker 1: lot of people don't especially African American athletes, they don't
- 2:41Speaker 1: see the educational component being successful in our lives. And
- 2:44Speaker 1: so when bringing you on this show and being a
- 2:46Speaker 1: young entrepreneurs like I ad justested a vote on the
- 2:49Speaker 1: show this past week and he was just talking about
- 2:51Speaker 1: after his six year in the league, he started looking
- 2:53Speaker 1: around in the locker room and people started disappearing and
- 2:56Speaker 1: so he had to make a plan. And so now
- 2:58Speaker 1: he's opened up tramp Polin's amusing the trampoline in the
- 3:01Speaker 1: state of New Jersey. Now, YO, got your story. I
- 3:04Speaker 1: seek you guys out to be on my show and
- 3:06Speaker 1: I'm so thankful you on my show. So tell us
- 3:09Speaker 1: about that relationship from that that transcended from the football
- 3:13Speaker 1: field to sitting in a restaurant talking about we want
- 3:16Speaker 1: to get in business together. Well, I mean, Rac, I
- 3:19Speaker 1: think you're going in for not to each other. Story
- 3:21Speaker 1: better mean it was, it was pretty much his idea.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I was already kind of on the way on the
- 3:25Speaker 1: outsid'll just finished year ten. But I think Rat can
- 3:29Speaker 1: pretty much explain more of what that what happened was
- 3:31Speaker 1: transpired that day. Thank you. Yeah, when uh we're need,
- 3:35Speaker 1: we need and grins um. We obviously played the texts
- 3:39Speaker 1: together for a long time. We all started very young.
- 3:42Speaker 1: When when we got to the professional rubble um we
- 3:46Speaker 1: had the opportunity to play together with the Tenergy titles
- 3:48Speaker 1: when I signed over. But we were both you know,
- 3:51Speaker 1: with the circum saved um getting posts. We're starting starting
- 3:56Speaker 1: to think about our post career, post life after football,
- 3:59Speaker 1: to do just kids cutting last forever we knew we
- 4:01Speaker 1: can't complaining at the high or whatever. Who we gotta
- 4:04Speaker 1: start to see thinking about what we're gonna do afterwards.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So we are only gevery off season. I wanted to
- 4:10Speaker 1: get together with the other Sustin's part of the Brian
- 4:12Speaker 1: has a Vegan friends. We always get together just come
- 4:15Speaker 1: up with planks from and come up with ideas. What
- 4:17Speaker 1: can we do? I think for that blanks together, come
- 4:19Speaker 1: up with some great eventsive ideas around the you know,
- 4:22Speaker 1: around Texas and uh right, long sto much short. We
- 4:27Speaker 1: were eating cupcakes at the time and um, and and
- 4:33Speaker 1: then we just a line folk to because it came
- 4:35Speaker 1: to my head and was like, hey, let's let's let's
- 4:37Speaker 1: do a t t same times right here and Alton,
- 4:39Speaker 1: they never really touched the off the monkey yet let's
- 4:42Speaker 1: go ahead and reach out, um and see what happens.
- 4:45Speaker 1: That great thing was and a big test we do
- 4:48Speaker 1: obviously with tennis entraining, and that's all you had to
- 4:52Speaker 1: feel that built this business from grounds up and the
- 4:56Speaker 1: very successful awesome. So let me remind everybody to tendency.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Titan football team is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and uh correct,
- 5:09Speaker 1: So that's why we live to get a content with them,
- 5:11Speaker 1: pass and get this thing going. Okay cool. Now here's
- 5:14Speaker 1: the thought process. You have subways out there, you have UH,
- 5:18Speaker 1: you have UH Jersey Mix, you have all these different
- 5:23Speaker 1: places that you can dunk and done nut franchises. Why
- 5:26Speaker 1: g cupcakes? Who doesn't love cupcakes? There you go, Well,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you talk to you talking to a baker. Now I
- 5:36Speaker 1: I bake. I just finished my big up banking program.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Or I searched for the top bakers around the country
- 5:41Speaker 1: every every eight months. So I'm a fan of you
- 5:44Speaker 1: opening Gis cupcake. But why you know, for s of
- 5:48Speaker 1: a business person? You know, I just want to wrap
- 5:50Speaker 1: that around. It is because they always say if you
- 5:52Speaker 1: gonna invest in stock, invest in the stock that you
- 5:55Speaker 1: buy that you're using your personal life. If you go
- 5:57Speaker 1: to home depot and that's where you don't that's just
- 6:00Speaker 1: that's the place you go. So it's because you like
- 6:03Speaker 1: the GGS brand is what lead to the investment opportunity idea. Well,
- 6:09Speaker 1: you gotta look at like this, what is one thing,
- 6:11Speaker 1: no matter no matter what happens each and every day,
- 6:13Speaker 1: what is something that every year something comes around. It's
- 6:17Speaker 1: your birthday and you know, the way that you celebrate
- 6:20Speaker 1: your birthday is always a cake or cake. Whoever it
- 6:23Speaker 1: is you go to. You go to a restaurant, you
- 6:25Speaker 1: ask and can I see you dessert menu? It's it's
- 6:27Speaker 1: not significant other, it's my daughter, whoever may be, it's
- 6:29Speaker 1: their birthday, and you always see, is there some type
- 6:32Speaker 1: of cake that I can put a candle in wherever
- 6:34Speaker 1: it may be? And the one thing and in going
- 6:38Speaker 1: through and developing and looking at this whole process, we
- 6:41Speaker 1: we looked in at an area where that's very highly
- 6:44Speaker 1: populated with a lot of families, a lot of a
- 6:47Speaker 1: lot of stay at home mothers who pretty much you know,
- 6:49Speaker 1: run the household. And I think, uh, Brian Henton and
- 6:54Speaker 1: Brown Rappo chose a very great developing area that's developing.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I mean people think Austin's probably within the top five
- 7:01Speaker 1: growing cities and special in the area. Sooner or later
- 7:04Speaker 1: they're gonna have to build more schools. I know they
- 7:06Speaker 1: are build another elementary school in the area and as
- 7:08Speaker 1: sooner it's gonna be a middle school and the high
- 7:09Speaker 1: school and saw so it's a growing area. Um, we
- 7:13Speaker 1: also have a trampoline park that's gonna be right behind
- 7:15Speaker 1: us called Urban Air. So there's a great location looking
- 7:18Speaker 1: forward to what's going to be coming in the future.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And um, it was just something that we looked at
- 7:23Speaker 1: it that no matter what the economy is, people are
- 7:25Speaker 1: gonna always you know, it's something that people. It's it's
- 7:28Speaker 1: like a necessity even though it's not a need, it's
- 7:30Speaker 1: a necessity that people no matter what the market is,
- 7:33Speaker 1: it's always, hey, you know, birthday is coming around. We
- 7:35Speaker 1: need to make a cake or we need cup kicks
- 7:37Speaker 1: or whatever it is. And then you have so many
- 7:39Speaker 1: different holidays, whether it's Halloween, whether it's Valentine's Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving,
- 7:44Speaker 1: Mother's Day. You have so many different holidays that people celebrate.
- 7:47Speaker 1: They like to celebrate with with sweets and uh, you know,
- 7:50Speaker 1: we already have something that started Nashville called Tips Treats
- 7:53Speaker 1: um that you may be aware. I know you said
- 7:55Speaker 1: you're from the city of Houston. But again another another
- 7:59Speaker 1: atmospe another you know, um area with cupcakes. And you
- 8:02Speaker 1: know we had some called Sprinkles and got Hey cupcakes
- 8:06Speaker 1: and all those different things. But this was a brand
- 8:09Speaker 1: that wasn't in the Austin area. That was something new
- 8:12Speaker 1: and we know in the Austin area. We like to
- 8:13Speaker 1: grasp on the things that are new and build upon it. Uh,
- 8:17Speaker 1: all three of us being graduates from the University of
- 8:19Speaker 1: Texas and knowing you know, what our names brought to
- 8:22Speaker 1: the table and the people that we do know. Um,
- 8:24Speaker 1: it just helped out tremendously. And then again this Microsoft
- 8:27Speaker 1: thing came out of nowhere and and it just continuously
- 8:31Speaker 1: just propelling us going forward. And I think I work
- 8:33Speaker 1: ethic altogether, working together as a team, being real good friends. Uh.
- 8:37Speaker 1: They were my grooms men at my wedding, and we
- 8:40Speaker 1: have that type of relationship with our families and things
- 8:42Speaker 1: that nature. I think it was just something that we
- 8:43Speaker 1: just hit the ball. This this this hit it rolling
- 8:46Speaker 1: and and it's been we have a lot of great success.
- 8:49Speaker 1: The funny thing about that Microsoft commercial is that, first
- 8:52Speaker 1: of all, I'm gonna used some terminal. It's very female friendly, no,
- 8:56Speaker 1: and it's very family friendly. Every time I see it,
- 8:59Speaker 1: I mile you both of you guys are very engaging,
- 9:03Speaker 1: you know. You know, it's like it's like it's these
- 9:05Speaker 1: big old guys are a little bit of cupcake. You know.
- 9:08Speaker 1: It's really Uh, can you tell us how that came about?
- 9:11Speaker 1: Because you said it came out of nowhere, because it
- 9:13Speaker 1: is a monster a monster success for me personally, a
- 9:18Speaker 1: guy who's a really into marketing and branding. It's amazing. Man. Congratulations,
- 9:23Speaker 1: Oh go ahead if you want to go ahead, I
- 9:27Speaker 1: mean I can. I mean, I guess my standpoint it was,
- 9:31Speaker 1: it was it kind of came out of nowhere. We
- 9:33Speaker 1: started getting reached out. Uh was getting phone calls off
- 9:37Speaker 1: the phone calls, and our man just said somebody from Microsoft,
- 9:40Speaker 1: that somebody and somebody, and I keep trying to tell
- 9:44Speaker 1: them that y'all are not here, you know, keep saying
- 9:45Speaker 1: that Brian rack Poles is playing with the Titans right now.
- 9:48Speaker 1: And you know I was at the time, I was
- 9:50Speaker 1: doing the Longhorn Network, so I'm doing broadcasting, so I
- 9:52Speaker 1: wasn't in the store all the time. And Brian inst
- 9:55Speaker 1: you know, he has his job also, so one day,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you know, let me just get him a call and
- 9:59Speaker 1: see what's going on. Then I gave him a call
- 10:00Speaker 1: and they were like, hey, you want to sit down
- 10:02Speaker 1: and talk and discussing things. And again I was like, okay,
- 10:05Speaker 1: this must be a joke. And then I guess, um
- 10:07Speaker 1: from that standpoint, relay the message over to Brian and
- 10:11Speaker 1: somebody my name is Sandy Sandoval contacted him. Okay, this
- 10:16Speaker 1: maybe this may be serious because you know, people are
- 10:20Speaker 1: trying to get ahold of us. But from there we
- 10:24Speaker 1: was trying to It was something very quickly. Um. You know,
- 10:27Speaker 1: Brian of course was in he was in the season
- 10:30Speaker 1: that he played over in London first San Diego, charges
- 10:34Speaker 1: flew straight back. We filmed the commercial in less than
- 10:37Speaker 1: forty eight hours and there was not non scripted. Hey, Michael,
- 10:42Speaker 1: hold that thought. Hold that thought, Michael, because this is fantastic.
- 10:45Speaker 1: You listen to money making conversation. We're gonna extend this
- 10:47Speaker 1: conversation to another break. Come on back, y'all, don't go nowhere. Hi.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Are you listening to Rashan McDonald and this is his
- 10:55Speaker 1: money making conversation and having a fantastic conversation with too
- 10:59Speaker 1: incredibly talented athletes who graduating from the University of Texas
- 11:02Speaker 1: in Austin. And they decided to franchise. They decided there's
- 11:06Speaker 1: more to our football, there's more to life there, there's
- 11:10Speaker 1: a life after football, should say. And they decided to
- 11:13Speaker 1: franchise a G G cupcake store, which is based out
- 11:16Speaker 1: of Nashville, that's where they met his teammates of the
- 11:19Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans out of Nashville, and they decided to be
- 11:21Speaker 1: smart about it. They took it back to where their
- 11:24Speaker 1: popularity was at a high level in college Austin, Texas.
- 11:28Speaker 1: And Michael, you're telling us you got all these phone calls.
- 11:31Speaker 1: You didn't know what you were walking into. And in
- 11:32Speaker 1: fourt eight hours YouTube delivered this amazing very um. I
- 11:38Speaker 1: was just saying, may a, very engaging, very fun, very
- 11:40Speaker 1: very um very it's just a commercial that I smile
- 11:44Speaker 1: every time I see a team. Yeah, I mean again
- 11:48Speaker 1: it was I said earlier. You know it was non scripted. Uh,
- 11:51Speaker 1: this is us. That's us being ourselves. I mean if
- 11:53Speaker 1: you call our social media, uh, each of every day,
- 12:00Speaker 1: So that's that's nothing. That's saying, hey, you know you
- 12:02Speaker 1: do this and you're gonna laugh a smile and do
- 12:04Speaker 1: this and you no. I mean that's us each and
- 12:06Speaker 1: every day at the bakery, at the shop, every day
- 12:08Speaker 1: we're working together. So um, it came out great. Um.
- 12:12Speaker 1: You know, you know we've been get a lot of
- 12:15Speaker 1: a lot of exposure from it, and you know we
- 12:18Speaker 1: sometimes we sit back with watching the game or you're weird.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I think Rack was at the Bahamas Is recently with
- 12:23Speaker 1: his wife and he's, you know, enjoying the next thing,
- 12:27Speaker 1: you know, there's a big TV playing and he's on
- 12:30Speaker 1: there and with some cupcakes. So it's I think that's
- 12:32Speaker 1: been going on for all three of us. Is everywhere
- 12:34Speaker 1: we've been, it's just been that commercials just playing over
- 12:37Speaker 1: and over and over against Get allows a lot more exposure.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And I think it's it's kind of funny because you
- 12:42Speaker 1: played the game of you played in the NFL, but
- 12:45Speaker 1: now that you know, you're kind of more known for
- 12:48Speaker 1: cupcakes compared to being this barbarian you know, Rack sacking
- 12:53Speaker 1: quarterbacks and things in that nature and hard hitting safety
- 12:56Speaker 1: don't present you don't forget your role in life. Now
- 12:59Speaker 1: by that's back there, that's a long time ago. Mr
- 13:03Speaker 1: Cupcake comment. Okay, Mr hard charge and smacking uh knock
- 13:09Speaker 1: him on there behind defensive player. Rack, tell me, are
- 13:14Speaker 1: you missed the cupcake too? Now? Yeah we can. I
- 13:18Speaker 1: kind of told the guys in the locker room don't
- 13:20Speaker 1: ever call me Mr Cupcake. So but you know that
- 13:23Speaker 1: I take you know, but now it's all funny games.
- 13:27Speaker 1: You know. The cool thing about this whole experiences. They
- 13:30Speaker 1: didn't believe, you know when when we when we told
- 13:33Speaker 1: me and Griffins was doing this, everybody was kind of skeptical,
- 13:38Speaker 1: you know, locker rooms like you guys over the cocaine,
- 13:40Speaker 1: are you serious with football players this and that? You
- 13:42Speaker 1: know this, that and the other. But they've seen how
- 13:45Speaker 1: serious the process was, and then we were really taking it. Um,
- 13:48Speaker 1: we're really taking them to the next level, to the
- 13:51Speaker 1: next step. And everybody was pretty much admired about what
- 13:55Speaker 1: we were doing and inspired. And it's just to go
- 14:00Speaker 1: the soul, like when you really have to dream, when
- 14:02Speaker 1: you really believe in something, you can build something ground up.
- 14:04Speaker 1: And now we're getting so many compliments from my peers
- 14:07Speaker 1: around the league about you know, how we were able
- 14:10Speaker 1: to do this thing? Um do this cup take shop.
- 14:14Speaker 1: We know. The thing about it is that, you know,
- 14:16Speaker 1: you know social media, everybody wants a viral video, everybody
- 14:19Speaker 1: wants to know just rocket the popularity, and sometimes you
- 14:22Speaker 1: don't know how that's gonna happen. But what happened here
- 14:25Speaker 1: was you guys were just genuine and you made a
- 14:27Speaker 1: conscious effort to improve on your life after football and bam.
- 14:31Speaker 1: And then another thing when people questioned you too about
- 14:35Speaker 1: this move into this business. You move forward with your
- 14:38Speaker 1: first thought that this is something we want to do
- 14:40Speaker 1: that would benefit us. Now you and you mentioned about
- 14:44Speaker 1: why do you have to do to prepare to be
- 14:46Speaker 1: as the owner of GS Cupcake? What is that? What
- 14:48Speaker 1: are those steps? Because they just you just to sign
- 14:50Speaker 1: a contract and say we're the owners. You have to
- 14:53Speaker 1: know the business. Can you walk up through that? Michael Well,
- 14:56Speaker 1: I think what what the thing is that Brian Hinston
- 14:58Speaker 1: eat our third partner, think he helped us out tremendously
- 15:01Speaker 1: with that. Uh. You know, I think a lot of
- 15:03Speaker 1: people recognize us and kind of look at us as
- 15:05Speaker 1: being these football players and they've known that, you know,
- 15:07Speaker 1: we were. We excelled at a high level for ten
- 15:09Speaker 1: plus years of playing the game in the National Football League.
- 15:13Speaker 1: But you know, you you gotta have somebody that you
- 15:15Speaker 1: trust and somebody that understands the things that you may
- 15:18Speaker 1: not understand. And again, everybody has their strong points and
- 15:21Speaker 1: you have to be able to work very well together.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And I think that's something that us three together, we
- 15:25Speaker 1: we've done very well. Um, you know, and we owe
- 15:29Speaker 1: a lot to Brian Inson because again he's he's he's been.
- 15:33Speaker 1: He's been the brains of the operation. A lot of
- 15:35Speaker 1: things that we didn't know. You know, me again for
- 15:38Speaker 1: ten years just playing football and you know, you tell
- 15:41Speaker 1: me a route concept or you know what to come
- 15:43Speaker 1: and everything. I can tell you all that, Yeah, I
- 15:45Speaker 1: can tell you that all day. But when you get
- 15:47Speaker 1: to looking at numbers and graphs and you know how
- 15:50Speaker 1: things work and everything else. I mean I think a
- 15:52Speaker 1: lot of things like banking and stuff. That's the easy.
- 15:54Speaker 1: You know, you follow steps one, two, three, the way
- 15:56Speaker 1: he would say it. But when you got to really
- 15:58Speaker 1: learn how to operate a business and work with other
- 16:01Speaker 1: employees and not have the same mindset that we have
- 16:04Speaker 1: his professional athletes, and learn how to talk to people
- 16:07Speaker 1: and deal with customers, and it's it's a big transition.
- 16:10Speaker 1: It's different than your day to day basis and playing
- 16:12Speaker 1: in the National Football League. So, um, I mean it
- 16:15Speaker 1: was a lot. It was, you know, going to meet
- 16:17Speaker 1: with corporate office. Um. And again it was great having
- 16:20Speaker 1: three of us because when one of us is not
- 16:21Speaker 1: able to to be there, the other two is there
- 16:24Speaker 1: to to take that that slack on and continue to
- 16:27Speaker 1: go from there. So it's been a great partnership. A
- 16:30Speaker 1: great um that we all been able to work together.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And you know, we we started from the ground up.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I mean picking the location from Brian Rack and Brian
- 16:40Speaker 1: Henson too, Um, sitting down with corporate and going through
- 16:45Speaker 1: the whole process of learning. Uh. The reason why we
- 16:48Speaker 1: went where the franchise is because we believe that, you know,
- 16:50Speaker 1: instead of open your own business and trying to build
- 16:52Speaker 1: your own brand, we were learning how the franchise actually works.
- 16:55Speaker 1: So we did decide to do something else. Um, we
- 16:58Speaker 1: knew the ins and outs. We knew how to do
- 17:01Speaker 1: our build out from you know, your electric company to
- 17:04Speaker 1: your plumbers to this to that. We we learned the
- 17:07Speaker 1: whole process. So it was a whole year process that
- 17:09Speaker 1: we learned. Um, if you look at our store, me
- 17:13Speaker 1: and Brian Instant, Brian Raffle, we put our store together.
- 17:16Speaker 1: We unloaded the trucks ourselves and he was putting everything
- 17:19Speaker 1: based on the graphs and things putting our store together.
- 17:22Speaker 1: So it was a learning process. I think it was
- 17:25Speaker 1: just you know, showing us taking that next step in
- 17:27Speaker 1: life and showing that you know, we're more than just athletes.
- 17:31Speaker 1: And when you have that termin knowledge student athletes, we
- 17:34Speaker 1: were actually we took schools very seriously and what we learned,
- 17:37Speaker 1: we was able to transition onto the next life after football.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Three people, three young men you went to college with,
- 17:45Speaker 1: decided to go in. Talk a little bit about trust
- 17:48Speaker 1: in this situation. You know that football they talk about
- 17:50Speaker 1: you have to trust your teammates and you you're going
- 17:53Speaker 1: in business. Two people, you know, but a lot of
- 17:55Speaker 1: people they do that and something they lose that trust factors.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Talking about trust than this relationship that makes you feel
- 18:02Speaker 1: so satisfying, I think that's the only way to grow
- 18:06Speaker 1: is to have trust. UM. Without our trust myself buying
- 18:11Speaker 1: and grip, I don't think we were able to get
- 18:13Speaker 1: this far UM. We we all three player significant part
- 18:18Speaker 1: in the in this whole process for us going forward
- 18:21Speaker 1: because we're not just gonna be settled with just one store.
- 18:24Speaker 1: We want to expand and do bigger and better things
- 18:27Speaker 1: UM in the future. And without trust, I think we
- 18:30Speaker 1: would have we would need to be able to have
- 18:32Speaker 1: this one build out. I don't think we would have
- 18:34Speaker 1: been a successful we are today. And honestly think it
- 18:38Speaker 1: has to be natural. Trusts have to be natural organic.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I think it's hard to do business with people that
- 18:46Speaker 1: you really can't count on they're they're always late or
- 18:49Speaker 1: they're always you know, not responsible. Are are you know something?
- 18:54Speaker 1: Do one thing and then do it a better It's
- 18:57Speaker 1: with with our relationship. We've been knowing each other since
- 19:00Speaker 1: through stain eighteen years old. So we built. We know
- 19:03Speaker 1: our strength, we know our weaknesses, we know who you know,
- 19:07Speaker 1: the downfalls the upside with with all three of us.
- 19:11Speaker 1: So um, I mean, person I think it's very very
- 19:15Speaker 1: uh important once you go in the business with what
- 19:18Speaker 1: other individuals. Here's a good the closing though, we've got
- 19:22Speaker 1: a couple of minutes here. Um. First of all, I
- 19:25Speaker 1: want to congratulate you too, and that's a sincere Both
- 19:28Speaker 1: of you guys are both articulate. The intelligence and your
- 19:31Speaker 1: education shows through and so that's what comes across. I'm
- 19:34Speaker 1: just gonna let you know from an African American perspective,
- 19:37Speaker 1: how important what you guys are doing in those commercials
- 19:40Speaker 1: because of the fact that you know, we're often misrepresented
- 19:44Speaker 1: as to what we can do, especially when we're when
- 19:46Speaker 1: our skills are tied to athleticism. You know, it's just
- 19:49Speaker 1: like watching the lebron James does you know in the
- 19:52Speaker 1: regular basis is it's awesome. It's awesome, and and so
- 19:57Speaker 1: just just know that as as a fan of of entrepreneurship,
- 20:01Speaker 1: as a fan of uh of watching NFL football, those
- 20:05Speaker 1: commercials radio more than just beyond um just you guys
- 20:10Speaker 1: talking about something for Microsoft talking which is an amazing
- 20:13Speaker 1: brand to be tied to talking about making cupcakes. You
- 20:16Speaker 1: guys represent yourselves and what we do as African Americans
- 20:19Speaker 1: in a very special way. I just want to make
- 20:21Speaker 1: that comment to you. I hopefully you've heard it before
- 20:24Speaker 1: and you're here again in the future more often because
- 20:26Speaker 1: you guys are making a difference and a lot of
- 20:28Speaker 1: young people and grown people's lives. I appreciate that. We
- 20:33Speaker 1: appreciate that. Thank you very much. Appreciate what the good
- 20:38Speaker 1: thing about is that I like the eat cupcakes and
- 20:40Speaker 1: on my sholf Michael Grifford and the rack Man, the
- 20:44Speaker 1: rack Man, the sack Man, Brock the rock Pole to
- 20:48Speaker 1: Universe using University US. That's where I came from. We
- 20:59Speaker 1: we can be just be gard were back in there now, Yeah, y'all,
- 21:04Speaker 1: y'all back for real. Man. You know I got we
- 21:06Speaker 1: stole my coach, my head coach, stole my head coach.
- 21:10Speaker 1: And now y'all back. We had to teach him how
- 21:13Speaker 1: to you know. You know, he started to text. We
- 21:15Speaker 1: had to teach him. We had to teach him, and
- 21:16Speaker 1: then we let him go and then he came on back.
- 21:19Speaker 1: You know, I'm in Atlanta, so Geohn, you got me
