- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me? You doing men? You gotta
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn hur you gotta turn to turn them out. You
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out. Turn the water the water go. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your fad Uh huh, I show will good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig
- 2:06Speaker 1: me out one and only. Uh, Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show, Yeah you do. Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 1: But like I said the other day, you got something too, though,
- 2:15Speaker 1: don't you. God hadn't done something wonderful for you. You
- 2:18Speaker 1: just gotta thank Him for it, you know, in the
- 2:21Speaker 1: midst of all that's going on in my life and
- 2:24Speaker 1: in your life. You know, I always use myself as
- 2:27Speaker 1: an example because well, I mean that way. I guarantee
- 2:31Speaker 1: one hundred percent I know what I'm talking about. Um,
- 2:34Speaker 1: here's the situation, you know, with everything that's going on
- 2:38Speaker 1: in my life and all the things I'm asking God
- 2:41Speaker 1: for in the midst of a taxing and a very
- 2:47Speaker 1: trying situation. That's very challenging for me right now. Man,
- 2:52Speaker 1: God just keeps on, keeps on surprising me. He keeps
- 2:57Speaker 1: doing things. And I want you to look at your life.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Or for a second, let's make two columns here. Let's
- 3:05Speaker 1: make a column of all the things you want from God.
- 3:09Speaker 1: You know, just do that throughout the course of the day.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You know, you know, run down the list of all
- 3:13Speaker 1: the things you're asking God for, all the things you're
- 3:16Speaker 1: praying for, the things you aspire to, what you your dreams,
- 3:20Speaker 1: your visions, whatever it is. Just make a column, a
- 3:23Speaker 1: list of all those things. Let's make three lists. And
- 3:27Speaker 1: then the second list, I want you to make a
- 3:30Speaker 1: list of everything that you've been asking God for. So
- 3:36Speaker 1: I guess that could be a little bit of the same.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But this third list, I want you to do a
- 3:41Speaker 1: check off point. I want you to do a make
- 3:43Speaker 1: a list of everything that God has given you that
- 3:47Speaker 1: you've asked him for. Just think about it like that
- 3:50Speaker 1: for a second. I may be explaining a little wrong
- 3:53Speaker 1: right now, but I'm gonna pull it together for you.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Make a list of everything you're asking God for, just listed.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You know, it's Okay, it's a dream board. You can
- 4:02Speaker 1: call it that. I got one. It's a vision board.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You know. Every everybody's got something you hope for. Make
- 4:07Speaker 1: a list now. I want you to make another list
- 4:12Speaker 1: of everything you've asked God for that he's given you already.
- 4:17Speaker 1: See this is a good list because sometimes and what
- 4:22Speaker 1: I've been guilty of and maybe you two in my
- 4:25Speaker 1: request list on my dream board. I keep focusing so
- 4:29Speaker 1: hard sometimes on the what I'm yet to receive. I
- 4:34Speaker 1: keep focusing so hard on the what I hope he
- 4:38Speaker 1: gives me. I keep focusing so hard on the things
- 4:42Speaker 1: that I yet not fulfilled in my life that sometimes,
- 4:47Speaker 1: as he starts checking off my wish list the things
- 4:51Speaker 1: I've asked for in the past that have come to
- 4:53Speaker 1: pass that he's given me, I sometimes, in praying for
- 4:58Speaker 1: what I want, get to thank him for what he's
- 5:02Speaker 1: done for me. And I'm currently in the middle of
- 5:05Speaker 1: that situation. And this morning when I woke up, I really, man,
- 5:08Speaker 1: I just got on my knees this morning and I
- 5:10Speaker 1: quit tripping for a second. I said, Man, hey, God,
- 5:13Speaker 1: you know what I really do need all them things
- 5:16Speaker 1: I'm asking for, and I'm really am believing that you're
- 5:19Speaker 1: gonna give it to me. But in the meantime, though, Man,
- 5:23Speaker 1: have I overlooked some important details here. I had to
- 5:27Speaker 1: really look at what he's done for me. I mean, look, man,
- 5:31Speaker 1: take yourself out of it personally and look, well, you
- 5:34Speaker 1: can leave yourself in it however you want to be.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, So just leave yourself in
- 5:38Speaker 1: it there. But man, I started looking at the eye
- 5:40Speaker 1: part of me, and I started looking around at what's
- 5:44Speaker 1: happening overall. Like, Man, he has kept my family together
- 5:49Speaker 1: in spite of the attempts to tear it apart. I
- 5:51Speaker 1: look at all of that. I look at how he's
- 5:54Speaker 1: blessing my children with the desires of their heart, which
- 5:57Speaker 1: I pray for my kids. You know, I want my
- 5:58Speaker 1: kids to have the life than I've had. I really
- 6:01Speaker 1: really do. I don't want them to take as long
- 6:04Speaker 1: as it took me to get it together. I really
- 6:06Speaker 1: really don't. I'm trying to say, hey, man, if you
- 6:09Speaker 1: go to college, this is what you can be. Don't
- 6:11Speaker 1: do like your father did. Don't go three years, drop out,
- 6:14Speaker 1: throw yourself into a spiral and then got to start
- 6:16Speaker 1: to scratch all over again, you know, And for the
- 6:19Speaker 1: most part so far. You know, they're doing quite well
- 6:23Speaker 1: of it. You know, you know they they're getting kicked
- 6:25Speaker 1: around a little bit, but that's life. I started thinking
- 6:28Speaker 1: of the blessings that he's helped me overcome with some
- 6:32Speaker 1: of the previous mistakes I've made in relationships in my life.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And then I started looking about the things he's blessed
- 6:40Speaker 1: me with that I've been asking him for. But since
- 6:42Speaker 1: I've moved on from it, I forgot to keep thinking
- 6:45Speaker 1: him because I gotta always thank God for a roof
- 6:48Speaker 1: over my head because guess what, when I was asking
- 6:51Speaker 1: for the roof and I didn't really have it, then
- 6:53Speaker 1: he gave me one. Since he gave it to me, what,
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'm just cool now, I can't ever go back to
- 6:58Speaker 1: him and go, hey, man, I really do appreciate this
- 7:00Speaker 1: roof over my head because that was a time when
- 7:02Speaker 1: I was living in a car. But see, so every
- 7:04Speaker 1: morning I wake up, I gotta remember the fact that
- 7:07Speaker 1: I have a home now, because I got to look
- 7:10Speaker 1: back and go, man, that was time, Steve, when you
- 7:12Speaker 1: didn't have no home. But see, we forget what God
- 7:15Speaker 1: has done for us because in our column that won't column,
- 7:20Speaker 1: the need column, we oftentimes forget for the columns and
- 7:25Speaker 1: the check marks, as He's already fulfilled in our life.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You've got to take inventory every now and then daily
- 7:33Speaker 1: if possible. But I know we're humans. We're not gonna
- 7:36Speaker 1: do that. I don't. But you've got to take inventory
- 7:40Speaker 1: of your life to say, hey, what has God done
- 7:43Speaker 1: for me? You know? And remember something else too. Change
- 7:48Speaker 1: is good, but change is challenging. Accept the challenge that
- 7:53Speaker 1: it is. Look a lot of you come up to
- 7:56Speaker 1: me all the time and say, Steve Man, thank you,
- 7:59Speaker 1: man boy, you in the morning. Man, I really be
- 8:02Speaker 1: needing that. Well. I under said it a hundred times,
- 8:04Speaker 1: but I'm gonna say it again, y'all. I'll be needing
- 8:07Speaker 1: it too. You know. You understand, sometimes what God is
- 8:12Speaker 1: dealing with me is for me. But now I'm in
- 8:16Speaker 1: a sharing position where I can open up and if
- 8:18Speaker 1: I just if I just quit being so about me
- 8:21Speaker 1: and become a little bit more transparent, I can maybe
- 8:25Speaker 1: some of me that's happening to me is happening to you,
- 8:28Speaker 1: and you can see some of this in me. That's
- 8:30Speaker 1: why I use myself as an example, because man, I'm
- 8:33Speaker 1: catching it too, y'all. I ain't perfect either. So for
- 8:37Speaker 1: those of you that come up to me and say that,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I want you to understand these these talks in the morning. Man,
- 8:43Speaker 1: this is important for me because man, I need these
- 8:47Speaker 1: conversations from God. I need God to continue to strengthen me,
- 8:51Speaker 1: to show me the way to help me understand what's
- 8:54Speaker 1: happening to me. And see as we've all those of
- 8:58Speaker 1: you who have made the decision to change, to become
- 9:01Speaker 1: a better person, a better woman, a better boy, a
- 9:03Speaker 1: better girl, a better man. For those of you have
- 9:05Speaker 1: made the decision to change, changes a challenge, and accept
- 9:09Speaker 1: the challenge because it's gonna come. Because right out of
- 9:11Speaker 1: that here come to haters. It ain't come people you
- 9:15Speaker 1: don't even know, discussing your life and your change. If
- 9:18Speaker 1: God see you, really really mean what you say in
- 9:22Speaker 1: spite of what they say about you, God will raise
- 9:25Speaker 1: you above the phrase. He'll keep promoting you, he'll keep
- 9:29Speaker 1: blessing you, He'll keep moving you up. He will use
- 9:33Speaker 1: you as a show off point. He'll show you off man.
- 9:37Speaker 1: He'll make you. He'll make you look good to people
- 9:40Speaker 1: man who wish you'd fall all day long. And so
- 9:43Speaker 1: to all your haters, all your haters will end up
- 9:45Speaker 1: just watching you rise. Man, they will watch you continue
- 9:48Speaker 1: to grow. That's what God will do for you. Man.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You can fool the world, but you can't fool God.
- 9:54Speaker 1: God know your heart, He knows your every thought. Man,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening to show people. Get ready, there's a train
- 10:08Speaker 1: come in. You don't need no ticket. You just get on, boy,
- 10:18Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, the train is here. Shirley Strawberry, Hey,

- 21:04Speaker 1: right on up, drop you down in there, shake that
- 21:08Speaker 1: water off, and send you to work. Heidi, Hello, Hello,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach a mister Wilson. It's how you do?
- 21:16Speaker 1: How you doing? My name is brother spring water Man. Listen.
- 21:18Speaker 1: We uh, we we got paid to actually come by
- 21:22Speaker 1: and do some services to for you by some friends
- 21:26Speaker 1: of yours, and we wanted to actually call and see
- 21:28Speaker 1: about scheduling and see what you had available. Uh, some
- 21:33Speaker 1: some services. What y'all playing on custison gradu, which I do.
- 21:38Speaker 1: What kind of services you had? Actually, sir, you've got
- 21:41Speaker 1: some friends that have actually spent a great amount of
- 21:44Speaker 1: money on you. And what we do is UM we
- 21:46Speaker 1: have a Baptismal on Wheels servant, and what we do
- 21:51Speaker 1: is we go and we um we baptize people at
- 21:55Speaker 1: their home. And Baptismal Wheels has been it's a new
- 21:58Speaker 1: UM company, but we've we've baptized over a thousand people.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Now we have a truck with it which actually has
- 22:05Speaker 1: a baptismal pool on the back of it, and we
- 22:08Speaker 1: actually come to your home and we will baptize you
- 22:11Speaker 1: in your driveway and and make you hold again. So
- 22:15Speaker 1: we've hostess here, brother Water. Brother again, I'm sorry, I
- 22:20Speaker 1: ain't freingwater, Brother Fringwater. What you want to come to
- 22:23Speaker 1: my house and give me a baptism in my front yard?
- 22:26Speaker 1: We want to baptize you right there in your drive
- 22:28Speaker 1: where your friends are paid for the services. And my friend,
- 22:31Speaker 1: what a friend will pay for me to get baptized? Man,
- 22:33Speaker 1: I've been baptized, are already well from my understanding, sir
- 22:37Speaker 1: that but then that you you've had some some bumps
- 22:40Speaker 1: and bruises and and and they seem to uh to
- 22:42Speaker 1: believe that you need to be Washington coming. I mean
- 22:45Speaker 1: that's all good, that's all. That's all. It's all good.
- 22:48Speaker 1: But I mean things are I mean, think that matter
- 22:50Speaker 1: that it made? Man? I mean, I've been baptized, I
- 22:53Speaker 1: go to church. You know, Uh, me and the Lord
- 22:55Speaker 1: don't have no problems. I mean, we all have setbacks.
- 22:58Speaker 1: But for you to pull up with your pool in
- 23:00Speaker 1: front of my house to say you've been a baptize me,
- 23:03Speaker 1: that that doesn't make any sense to me. Doc. I mean,
- 23:06Speaker 1: sometimes when some people are not able to go to
- 23:08Speaker 1: the House of the Lord and get baptized. You know,
- 23:11Speaker 1: we're making a lot more convenient for you, but we
- 23:14Speaker 1: can actually need no convenience. I don't need no convenience.
- 23:18Speaker 1: What I need convenience for you asking me to come
- 23:21Speaker 1: to my house on a Tuesday to baptize me in
- 23:26Speaker 1: my driveway? Does that make any sense to you? Brother Water?
- 23:30Speaker 1: I mean, come on, if you really sit back and
- 23:32Speaker 1: think about it, does that make any sense to you?
- 23:35Speaker 1: First of all, sir, that that that that's brother spring water.
- 23:39Speaker 1: But what I'm trying to what I'm trying to see
- 23:41Speaker 1: the water is holy water, spring water. It doesn't make
- 23:45Speaker 1: no difference to me. You can't come to my neighborhood
- 23:48Speaker 1: and baptize me in front of my house. Sir. This
- 23:53Speaker 1: is this is what your friends are talking about that
- 23:55Speaker 1: don't get there what my players are telling you. Man
- 23:58Speaker 1: and anybody which which one of my friends gonna recommend
- 24:01Speaker 1: you to come to my damn house. So I'm my
- 24:04Speaker 1: and my I don't let me that. You don't even
- 24:07Speaker 1: make any sense to me, You understand, No, I'm not.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I'm not at any liberty to tell you who actually is. Uh,
- 24:13Speaker 1: I'm portuning the liberty because of my damn house that
- 24:15Speaker 1: baptized me. But you can't tell me who the hell
- 24:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna see you. But you're not there, what may
- 24:20Speaker 1: come all? You don't even come on that that makes
- 24:22Speaker 1: sense for you? Come on, that doesn't make any no
- 24:25Speaker 1: where in the world. I'm gonna allow you to come
- 24:27Speaker 1: and bring your food in front of my house that
- 24:30Speaker 1: baptize me. Then I'm asking you ask as you you
- 24:32Speaker 1: supposed to be a pastor, you supposed to be baptized.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I'm asking you, okay, what's a friend of mine is
- 24:37Speaker 1: sending you to? You know, letting you know I need
- 24:39Speaker 1: be done. You'll tell you how that liberty to all
- 24:42Speaker 1: I wanted to know. Basically you I've already been paid.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I'm coming take to chan. I'm baptizing me im back time.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I'm going to baptize you on Tuesday in your driveway. Man,

- 29:26Speaker 1: stuff you hear all the kids say, making your list longer.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Just read your list to Senna. From then at noon,
- 29:40Speaker 1: Starting at noon, Sannah will see all the kids that
- 29:45Speaker 1: are Winders. WHI you whine a lot. I don't want

- 31:07Speaker 1: from then until seven, uh, this is towards the end
- 31:13Speaker 1: of the day. From then that'll be from five to seven,

- 31:58Speaker 1: just as critical before closing. Now we're only gonna take
- 32:04Speaker 1: tends a day, so you gotta make an appointment. Only
- 32:08Speaker 1: tends a day, Okay, very important. These are kids who
- 32:16Speaker 1: pee on center. If your child I gonna take a
- 32:21Speaker 1: ten a day, he on center. This is at the
- 32:25Speaker 1: end of the day that we're only gonna take ten center.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Got sub special gear made. We're gonna switch him out
- 32:33Speaker 1: from the skinny center, bring back fat Center. But he
- 32:36Speaker 1: ain't really that fat. It's just he got on a
- 32:39Speaker 1: lot of absorbing clothes, and so towards the end ten
- 32:46Speaker 1: a day, that's all we're doing because we got enough

- 36:48Speaker 1: you know? Steve? He doesn't really like Christmas? You don't,
- 36:54Speaker 1: he don't. You don't like none. More of the Steve
- 36:56Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty four minutes after
- 36:59Speaker 1: the hour you're listening to show. All right, we promised
- 37:04Speaker 1: to talk about holiday traditions, especially Christmas traditions, and while
- 37:08Speaker 1: time honored holiday traditions are important, they've also evolved over
- 37:12Speaker 1: the generations. Now this is according to a survey, family
- 37:15Speaker 1: activities and writing to Santa are still among the most
- 37:19Speaker 1: popular holiday traditions. That is interesting, even though because I've
- 37:24Speaker 1: never written to Santa. Even though we live in a
- 37:26Speaker 1: tech savvy world, three out of four parents say their
- 37:30Speaker 1: children still handwrite letters to Santa, as opposed to a
- 37:34Speaker 1: more modern approach like email. And really, and what's the
- 37:40Speaker 1: most popular family activity this year? Well, according to most households,
- 37:44Speaker 1: it's decorating the Christmas tree as a family. Now that
- 37:48Speaker 1: I like, I can I can relate to that. Course
- 37:50Speaker 1: we do that. Yeah. So lets so, Steve, we got
- 37:54Speaker 1: to start with you. Here are what are the family
- 37:57Speaker 1: traditions that your family keeps that you definitely First of all,
- 38:00Speaker 1: let me get this straight, Boodle, your grandson Ale, Noah
- 38:09Speaker 1: and Rose grandchildren, I'm not telling them that Santa Claus's
- 38:19Speaker 1: coming down the chimney. Okay, they Mom and daddy Mike.
- 38:22Speaker 1: But if they come over Papau's house, Papa bought all this. Okay,
- 38:32Speaker 1: straight about that out here, y'all. Papa, all the tree,
- 38:38Speaker 1: all the little finger as snow, I bought all that
- 38:40Speaker 1: in Hire. I had that tree in the in the
- 38:43Speaker 1: in the in the foyer that Papa bought that. So
- 38:46Speaker 1: that's a new tradition really because because you weren't you
- 38:50Speaker 1: brought up with thinking Santa Claus did it for a
- 38:53Speaker 1: while when you were little. Yeah yeah, so you're usually
- 38:56Speaker 1: as young as your grandchildren aren't. Yeah, well, no traditions.
- 39:00Speaker 1: You know, my kids take their keys to see Santa Claus.
- 39:03Speaker 1: H Yeah, they thinking it's a senaca. I'm just telling
- 39:06Speaker 1: don't bring them over here. You got so real with
- 39:10Speaker 1: it right now. Well, no, a Papa house all is
- 39:12Speaker 1: paid for by the big ball. Hard as you work,
- 39:15Speaker 1: you want to credit the white man. Didn't nothing up
- 39:18Speaker 1: in here, the ballhead black man that's in that office
- 39:22Speaker 1: down there at the front of the you're going that
- 39:24Speaker 1: dad's Santa Claus down there. A matter of fact, don't
- 39:27Speaker 1: bring him up when you're come in here, because he
- 39:30Speaker 1: had nothing to do everything on this side of the gate.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Santa Claus ain't had damn thing. Okay. So that's one.
- 39:37Speaker 1: That's the one that's men that you burst wide open. Okay. Secondly, huh,
- 39:44Speaker 1: if you tap up your toy on Christmas, you get
- 39:47Speaker 1: your asshoop on Chris what man that it's a tradition.
- 39:54Speaker 1: That tradition standard many rations man had. I had this
- 40:00Speaker 1: didn't lay away and you just said even broke it.
- 40:03Speaker 1: It ain't even fold it. Yeah, he opened it at
- 40:07Speaker 1: five and it's broken. Na. I had a nephew named Pogo.
- 40:15Speaker 1: All Pogo did every toy he got, he took it apart. Wow,
- 40:21Speaker 1: but then you know what, he put it all back together.
- 40:23Speaker 1: That's all he wanted to drink. Well, yeah, that's like girls.
- 40:27Speaker 1: We used to take our doll's clothes off. He a mechanic.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Yeah right, that's what he's a mechanic right now. Because see, yeah,
- 40:37Speaker 1: so that was some good. But did he get in
- 40:38Speaker 1: trouble for doing it when he was a kid? Dog?
- 40:41Speaker 1: Because if my daddy saw the tard toe up. But
- 40:45Speaker 1: he was asked after the second year, is that Pogo
- 40:47Speaker 1: Toya put him back? Yeah? Oh, he wasn't too mad,
- 40:57Speaker 1: all right? What else? So so, no Santa, but things
- 41:00Speaker 1: if you broke your toys? What else? Oh? These are
- 41:05Speaker 1: some traditions, Steve. I want to hear some of junior stuff.
- 41:08Speaker 1: I know family. Sounds like he got his up. Oh man, absolutely.
- 41:13Speaker 1: One tradition was you're going to bed at seven on
- 41:17Speaker 1: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, Christmas Eve. Oh, I could
- 41:20Speaker 1: never sleep on Christmas Eve. I could never do that
- 41:23Speaker 1: because Santa was coming. But Santa don't show up to
- 41:28Speaker 1: nine in the morning. We gotta go back to bed nine.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Why I think they got nine? We're running later, y'all
- 41:37Speaker 1: go back and then go back to bed. And n
- 41:44Speaker 1: he ain't made it here yet. Y'all going there, go
- 41:46Speaker 1: back to bed. Yeah, I'm next nephews praying phone call
- 41:52Speaker 1: right after this. I'm drinking all night. You're listening to

- 51:23Speaker 1: your letter live on the air, just like we're reading
- 51:25Speaker 1: this one today. Hold on tight, we got it for
- 51:30Speaker 1: you here. It is the Strawberry Letter subject we fit
- 51:35Speaker 1: together like a lock and key. Dear Stephen Shirley, I've
- 51:39Speaker 1: been in a relationship with a married man for ten years.
- 51:44Speaker 1: People think that all mistresses have low self esteem. However
- 51:48Speaker 1: I don't. I am very confident and I love everything
- 51:51Speaker 1: about myself. Since I've been with my guy, I have
- 51:55Speaker 1: only cheated on him once, and I told him about
- 51:57Speaker 1: it and promised him that it wouldn't happen again. In
- 52:01Speaker 1: the first few months of our affair, I tried to
- 52:04Speaker 1: end it, but both he and I were already in love.
- 52:08Speaker 1: He is my best friend and he has my entire heart.
- 52:12Speaker 1: We share a bank account and he is on the
- 52:14Speaker 1: deed to my house. I have a tattoo of a
- 52:17Speaker 1: lock and he has a tattoo of the key. I
- 52:20Speaker 1: know his wife, but we're not friends. If I happen
- 52:24Speaker 1: to run into the two of them in our small community,
- 52:27Speaker 1: we all should chat about our children. My children and
- 52:30Speaker 1: his children attend the same school and have a lot
- 52:33Speaker 1: of activities together. He takes me on annual trips and
- 52:37Speaker 1: he spends time with me during the holidays. He has
- 52:40Speaker 1: never treated me like I was a dirty little secret.
- 52:43Speaker 1: But now I'm getting older and I refuse to keep
- 52:46Speaker 1: sharing him. I love him and I want him all
- 52:50Speaker 1: to myself. Basically, I'm at the point where i need
- 52:53Speaker 1: him to leave his wife for me. I'm not worried
- 52:57Speaker 1: about karma. I believe in fair and I believe he
- 53:01Speaker 1: is my soul mate. When I shared my feelings with him,
- 53:05Speaker 1: he didn't respond, so I'm not sure what's going through
- 53:08Speaker 1: his mind. So what should my next move do? Please advise,
- 53:13Speaker 1: all right, your next move, obviously I don't see how
- 53:17Speaker 1: you don't see this should just be to leave him
- 53:19Speaker 1: and get your own man. That should be your next move.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Because you told him how you felt. You've been with
- 53:25Speaker 1: him for ten years. Surely he knows this, But you
- 53:28Speaker 1: told him that you know you wanted him all to yourself,
- 53:31Speaker 1: and you wanted him to leave your wife, leave his
- 53:32Speaker 1: wife and all of that, and he didn't respond. There
- 53:36Speaker 1: was your answer. He didn't respond that was it. If
- 53:40Speaker 1: he if he was gonna do that, he would have
- 53:41Speaker 1: said something, he would have lied, he would have said something.
- 53:44Speaker 1: He said nothing. Okay, so you're not sure what's going
- 53:47Speaker 1: through your mind. It's not that leaving his wife for you.
- 53:53Speaker 1: It's not that I can tell you that. You guys
- 53:55Speaker 1: have been together ten years. You say you don't have
- 53:58Speaker 1: any selfish low selfish esteem, but you too, because you're
- 54:01Speaker 1: there in this relationship, and you know, if you felt confident,
- 54:05Speaker 1: you could really get out and get a man of
- 54:07Speaker 1: your own. This is crazy. You guys go to school together.
- 54:11Speaker 1: I mean, your kids go to school together. You know
- 54:13Speaker 1: his wife. You guys a small community. This is all
- 54:17Speaker 1: too much. You need to get your own man. I'm
- 54:19Speaker 1: sure there are plenty of men out here who would
- 54:22Speaker 1: love to have someone like you. You just have to
- 54:24Speaker 1: think higher of yourself. You say you have low self esteem,
- 54:28Speaker 1: but if you don't have low self esteem, but you do.
- 54:31Speaker 1: If you thought better of yourself, you would know that
- 54:33Speaker 1: you wouldn't have to be number two, You could be
- 54:35Speaker 1: someone's number one. Steve, you know a lot of men, huh, don't.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Nobody will not have to read this letter. Let me
- 54:42Speaker 1: just go on and quit playing with this and get
- 54:44Speaker 1: right to it. Subject. We fit together like a lock
- 54:49Speaker 1: and key parphesies to somebody else's house. You've been a
- 54:55Speaker 1: relationship with a married man for ten years now, he
- 55:00Speaker 1: she said. People think that mistresses have low self esteem.
- 55:03Speaker 1: However I don't. I am very confident. I love everything
- 55:10Speaker 1: about myself. Since I've been with my guy, I've only
- 55:15Speaker 1: cheated on him one and I told him about it
- 55:19Speaker 1: and promised that it wouldn't happen again. Wow, ain't you
- 55:22Speaker 1: you know what? You just you? You? You just a
- 55:25Speaker 1: bundle of virtue. God, I want somebody like you. Why
- 55:30Speaker 1: would I not want a woman that sleeps with a
- 55:33Speaker 1: married man and cheats in that relationship. I'm gonna this
- 55:41Speaker 1: in my life. You might not have low self esteem,
- 55:46Speaker 1: but you shon't think a lot of your little raggedy
- 55:48Speaker 1: ass here, oh man. In the first few months of
- 55:53Speaker 1: our fair I tried to end it, but both of
- 55:56Speaker 1: ours was already in love. He my best friend, He
- 56:00Speaker 1: has my entire heart. We share a bank account, and
- 56:04Speaker 1: he's on the deed to my house. Really, you took
- 56:09Speaker 1: him down there and put his name on the deed
- 56:11Speaker 1: to your house, and y'all got a bank account together.
- 56:14Speaker 1: I bet the statement go to your house, though, I
- 56:17Speaker 1: promise you that listen to this. I have a tattoo
- 56:21Speaker 1: of a lock, and he got a tattoo of the key.
- 56:24Speaker 1: You don't think his wife ain't got a lock tattooed
- 56:28Speaker 1: on us somewhere? How you think he explained in this
- 56:33Speaker 1: key to the woman he go home to a sleep
- 56:35Speaker 1: with every day. You don't. You ain't the only one
- 56:37Speaker 1: with that damn lock. Only I can promise you if
- 56:42Speaker 1: he got a key, his wife got a tattoo of
- 56:45Speaker 1: a lock. Two Some keys had two locks. You know, girl,
- 56:49Speaker 1: I know how this go. I know his wife, but
- 56:53Speaker 1: we're not friends. How are you gonna be friends? If
- 56:55Speaker 1: I happen to run into the two of them in
- 56:57Speaker 1: our small community. We chitchat about our children. My children,
- 57:00Speaker 1: his children attend the same school and have a lot
- 57:03Speaker 1: of activities together. You know why because you put him
- 57:05Speaker 1: in everything. His damn kids. They're on the spelling B team.
- 57:09Speaker 1: I know you can't spell. Get on that, get in
- 57:14Speaker 1: the band, Damn the mistress getting the band. Give a damn.
- 57:17Speaker 1: If you don't like Canda tuba. The boy played the tuba,
- 57:19Speaker 1: you're gonna play one he takes me on annual trips
- 57:23Speaker 1: that don't mean nothing. That could go somewhere for the weekend.
- 57:26Speaker 1: He could lie and say his job going for the weekend,
- 57:29Speaker 1: but here going to one. And he spends time with
- 57:31Speaker 1: me doing the holidays during the holidays, not on the
- 57:36Speaker 1: holidac he come over Christmas Eve. He can't be over
- 57:42Speaker 1: that Christmas Day. I'm telling you, all right, Steel, lou
- 57:48Speaker 1: hold hold that thought. Well that part two of your
- 57:52Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three after the hour's subject
- 57:55Speaker 1: we fit together like a Locander cave somebody else's house,
- 57:59Speaker 1: will be back in twenty three after you're listening show.
- 58:04Speaker 1: All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters
- 58:07Speaker 1: subject we fit together like a lock and kid. This
- 58:10Speaker 1: crazy woman been in low with this dude for ten years.
- 58:13Speaker 1: She ha mistress. He's married, that kids go to the
- 58:16Speaker 1: same school. They're in a lot of activities. Him and
- 58:19Speaker 1: his wife ain't friends. He got a tattoo of a
- 58:21Speaker 1: key on him and she got a tattoo of a lock.
- 58:24Speaker 1: I just informed her that don't mean a damn thing,
- 58:27Speaker 1: because his wife probably got a tattoo of another damn lock. Right,
- 58:32Speaker 1: So welcome to this. They take annual trips. That's him
- 58:36Speaker 1: telling his wife he gotta be as his trip, and
- 58:39Speaker 1: he dragged you on it. He spent time with me
- 58:41Speaker 1: doing the holidays during the holidays, not on the damn holiday.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Can't can't be at your house on Thanksgiving? All the
- 58:50Speaker 1: people coming home warns that's the first question, first question, right, Wars.
- 58:57Speaker 1: He can't come back in the house and answer that
- 58:59Speaker 1: he went to to show to get some Iggno, I've
- 59:01Speaker 1: been gone four hours. He has never treated me like
- 59:04Speaker 1: I was a dirty little secret. But you are. I
- 59:07Speaker 1: know he ain't treat you like that, but you are
- 59:09Speaker 1: the dirty little secret. He told his wife and his kids.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Yet they don't know down at the school the bank
- 59:15Speaker 1: ain't never called his wife and talked about what you
- 59:17Speaker 1: is the dirty little see. But now I'm getting older
- 59:20Speaker 1: and I refuse to keep sharing him what you're fend
- 59:23Speaker 1: to do, So get what you said. I love him
- 59:26Speaker 1: and I want him all to myself. Basically, I'm at
- 59:29Speaker 1: the point why I need him leave his wife for me.
- 59:32Speaker 1: That's basically at this point I need him to leave
- 59:39Speaker 1: his wife for me. I'm not worried about Calma. What
- 59:48Speaker 1: you ain't worried about Camma. You're getting it now. You
- 59:52Speaker 1: ain't fenna get what you want and somebody find to

- 1:00:06Speaker 1: trustpass against us. Forgive us our datas. We forgive our
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: datas well. You think they're talking to I believe in
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: faith and I believe he is my soul mate. Now
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: what you believe, you're the only one believe is you
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: know why? Because watch this sentence. When I shared my
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: feelings with him, he didn't respond because he ain't got
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: no response because that ain't fitting to happen. It's oh,

- 1:01:11Speaker 1: but now I'm getting older and I refuse to keep
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: sharing him. You're sharing him because you have little self esteem.

- 1:02:00Speaker 1: She gonna tell it, though, because now she hurt. Yeah,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: because I mentioned my feelings and he didn't respond. He

- 1:11:48Speaker 1: a question from a listener. It says, Steve. I've been
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: dating a guy for six months and we are both
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: very involved in our church. Now, when we first met,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: I told him that I was practicing celible to see
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: and he was okay with it. Now he is ready
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: to have sex and I'm not. My friends tell me
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: I'm stupid and I'm going to lose a good man.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Am I really being stupid? Steve? Well, you're not being stupid,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: of course not. Those are your values and morals, and
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: you you make decisions for your life what you think
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: is the best. The majority of your friends is calling
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: you stupid. Are they in a committed relationship? Are they married?
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: You know? How do they know what's right for you?
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: And what you decide to do is the right thing?
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: That you and this dude go to the same church,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: and you both agreed. But now let's just have a
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: real conversation here. It is easier to say you're gonna
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: wait for marriage than it actually is to wait for marriage. Yes,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: it is, especially if you're dating on a regular basis. Yes,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: and especially if you've had sex bit foulk. Yes, hard
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: to say no to that. What are we waiting? It
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: ain't good when we get to Yeah, there's a use
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: by date on it. Yeah. No, no, it's not. I'm sorry,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: y'all to stay out there, all right, more of this

- 1:15:42Speaker 1: You don't, don't you don't? All right? Coming up, last
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: break of the day on this Friday. It's been a
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: good day, it's been a good week. We'll be back
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: with Steve and his closing remarks right after this at
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: forty nine after the hour. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Morning Show. Here were our last break of today, Steve's
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: closing remarks. What you got for Steve? Yeah, you know,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: always hopefully what these closing remarks are doing a kind
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: of um, you know, just in encouraging people. Really, that's
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: the whole thing. I've got a new thing that I'm
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: gonna release. Uh it's called brain drops. I'm releasing a
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: new thing that you can get online called brain drops.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: And what brain drops are are an abbreviated version of
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: my closing remarks. But I'm gonna be releasing them every
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: single day for people just out and about sometimes you know,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: you just you just need a little bit of some
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: type of encouragement, some type of uplift throughout your day,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: and that's all it's intended to be. So be looking
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: out for brain drops because I'm gonna be releasing those shortly.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: And so today it's just about success. You know, we
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: talk about it a lot because those are the two
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: things that I know that everybody wants. Everybody wants to
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: be happy and everybody wants to be successful. Those two things.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Most people I know want those things right there. And
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: so with that in mind, you know, I just I
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: want to just share this something really really brief with
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: you about success. Three things I want you to keep
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: in mind on your road to success. There are a
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: lot more, but I pulled out these three poignant things
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: that I want people to really expect when it comes
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: to success, because I think some people go about success
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: the wrong way. They go about success expecting the journey
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: to be successful. That's not the way to go about it.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: The journey is going to be challenging. The journey is
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: going to have setbacks, The journey is going to have disappointments.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: The goal is to become successful. But please don't expect
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: the journey to be successful. Understand what the journey is.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: So let me give you three things. Number one, adversity.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: The road to success is filled with adversity. The entire time.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: You will be having to deal with adversity the entire time.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: There will be some smooth days for you, but the
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: bulk of the days will have a challenge of adversity
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: in front of you, hands down, without a doubt, no
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: mistaking it. The second part of success that I want
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: you all to understand is rejection. Rejection is a part
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: of success. See when you go about success with the
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: wrong attitude, thinking that all your steps are going to
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: be successful. It's going to be very disappointing and disheartening
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: for you. And in those disappointments and hardships and setbacks,
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: you'll think, Wow, I'm not successful when you actually are.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: It's just the process of becoming successful. So rejection is
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: a huge part of it. You're going to be told
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: no on your way to yes. It's very rare that
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: you just get yes, yes, yes, yes, No. You're going
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: to be told no along the road to your yes.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: So expect to be rejected no, that it's not going
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: to go your way. No, that everyone's not going to
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: see your point, Know that everyone's not going to agree
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: with you, and know that everybody's not gonna give it
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: to you when you want it or even when you
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: need it. Rejection is a huge part. So we got
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: adversity and we got rejection. The third thing I want
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: you to keep in mind to becoming successful are the
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: sacrifices that are necessary. This is a hard one for
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: a lot of people because sacrificing it's difficult. But in
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: order to get what you want, you're gonna have to
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: give up some things. That is the exchange. Anytime you
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: want something, you're going to have to give something to
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: get it. There is nothing that you can want in
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: life and you just go get without giving something. If
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: you want more people to shake your hand, let's say
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: that's what you want. Guess what you're gonna have to do.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: You're gonna have to extend your hand to more people
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: in life. You're going to have to give up something
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: to get something. It's sacrifices. You've got to be very,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: very aware of the fact that something will always be required.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Tired of you. You've all heard the scripture, to who
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: much is given, much is required. Well, listen to this.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: The requirements are ongoing. If you want the giving to continue,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: if you don't want the giving part that God has
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: for you, you're gonna have to give up the requirements
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: because to who much is given, much is required. So
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: you're gonna have to get real comfortable with the requirements
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: because guess what, You've been given so many things. So
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: every time you want something, that's going to be a
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: requirement on your part. Those are the three things I
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: want you to focus on and think about. And I
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: don't want you to take it negatively, but just understand
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: that's on your way to success. That's what it is.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: That's exactly what it is. Adversity, rejection, sacrifice. If you
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: can get those three things mastered, you'll be successful. Most
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: people are who are successful they've mastered that. Those are
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: my clothes remarks. Drop it, baby, drop it, drop it,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: drop it. I like the quiet when I I know,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: I like them quiet. You keep on, You're gonna be
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: something one day. You don't, my heart, I believe. I
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: promise you, I'm gonna try. Okay, you just keep at it. Yes,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: I will, you know, I will, you know I will.
