Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: We're learning new and shocking details from a press conference
- 0:03Speaker 1: held in Los Angeles involving new accusations against former Congressman
- 0:09Speaker 1: Eric Swalwell. And the allegations are growing, both in number
- 0:12Speaker 1: and also severity. And the question that we continue to
- 0:16Speaker 1: need to be asking is this, What did the Democratic
- 0:20Speaker 1: leadership know? And when do they know it? And how
- 0:24Speaker 1: long have they been helping cover it up. One of
- 0:27Speaker 1: the women accusing Swalwell of sexual misconduct set in a
- 0:30Speaker 1: press conference that she believes the congressman drugged her and
- 0:36Speaker 1: raped and choked her to the point she lost consciousness
- 0:40Speaker 1: and thought that she died. Holding this press conference alongside
- 0:45Speaker 1: her attorney in Beverly Hills, Lona Drus detailed her allegations
- 0:50Speaker 1: against a Democratic congressman. She said she was working as
- 0:53Speaker 1: a model in Beverly Hills in twenty eighteen and owned
- 0:57Speaker 1: a fashion software company. She said she met Swawell socially
- 1:01Speaker 1: and he offered connections to further her company. I want
- 1:06Speaker 1: you to listen to what she had to say in
- 1:07Speaker 1: part at the press conference.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Now in California, Beverly Hills.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Let's watch in twenty eighteen, while I was living and
- 1:16Speaker 3: working as a model, in Beverly Hills, and I also
- 1:20Speaker 3: owned a fashion software company. I had contact with Eric
- 1:26Speaker 3: Swowell on three separate occasions. After meeting him socially. He
- 1:33Speaker 3: offered me connections to further my software company, and I
- 1:40Speaker 3: also had an interest in local politics. He invited me
- 1:45Speaker 3: to two public events. I knew he was married at
- 1:53Speaker 3: the time and that his wife was pregnant. He was
- 1:57Speaker 3: my friend. On the third occasion, I believe he drugged
- 2:06Speaker 3: my drink. I only had one glass of wine. He
- 2:19Speaker 3: we were supposed to go to a political event, and
- 2:22Speaker 3: he said he needed to get paperwork from his hotel room.
- 2:28Speaker 3: When I arrived at his hotel room, I was already
- 2:33Speaker 3: incapacitated and I couldn't move my arms from my body.
- 2:41Speaker 4: He raped me.
- 2:46Speaker 3: And he choked me, and while he was choking me,
- 2:51Speaker 3: I lost consciousness and I thought I died. I did
- 2:59Speaker 3: not consent to any sexual activity, although I did not
- 3:05Speaker 3: undergo a rape kit at the time. I disclosed the
- 3:08Speaker 3: assault to the people closest to me. I also recorded
- 3:15Speaker 3: these events in my handwritten calendar the Assault and It's
- 3:22Speaker 3: Impact or Leader, documented during my therapy sessions at a
- 3:27Speaker 3: sexual assault center.
- 3:29Speaker 1: This is truly heartbreaking and shocking as she described it. There,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I believe he drugged my drink. I only had one
- 3:38Speaker 1: glass of wine. You listen to her words, and you
- 3:42Speaker 1: hear the fear also in her voice to come forward.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I did not consent, she said, to any sexual activity.
- 3:50Speaker 1: He was married at the time and his wife was pregnant.
- 3:53Speaker 1: He said he needed to get paperwork from his hotel room,
- 3:56Speaker 1: and when I arrived to his hotel room, I was
- 3:58Speaker 1: already incapacitated. I couldn't move my arms or my body.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I want to be honest with you for a second
- 4:07Speaker 1: about how an act of compassion really feels. A couple
- 4:10Speaker 1: of years ago, I made the choice to partner with
- 4:13Speaker 1: an amazing organization called Compassion International. Why because I wanted
- 4:18Speaker 1: to sponsor a child in need. It was a nice idea, sure,
- 4:23Speaker 1: but I had no idea just how much that simple
- 4:26Speaker 1: act would change my life as well. I sponsored Nadia
- 4:30Speaker 1: and got to watch your life change right in front
- 4:33Speaker 1: of my eyes, going from starving literally alone on the streets,
- 4:37Speaker 1: to getting the healthcare and education she needs to reach
- 4:41Speaker 1: her God given full potential. I got to be a
- 4:44Speaker 1: part of that change and the light of that compassion.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Not only illuminates in her, It illuminates now in me.
- 4:52Speaker 1: That is the power of compassion. The light of Christ
- 4:55Speaker 1: shines on all of us. Feel it for yourself and
- 5:00Speaker 1: change literally a child's life, change the world, and you
- 5:03Speaker 1: also change yourself. You can sponsor child today. Visit compassion
- 5:08Speaker 1: dot com. That's compassion dot com.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Now.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Her legal team says they are preparing to take this
- 5:16Speaker 1: case directly to law enforcement as they should, and plan
- 5:20Speaker 1: to submit what they describe as evidence, including text messages,
- 5:24Speaker 1: personal journal entries, and potential witness information. At that same
- 5:30Speaker 1: press conference, her attorney's also revealed something else that could
- 5:33Speaker 1: significantly escalate the situation. They say additional women have now
- 5:38Speaker 1: come forward behind the scenes, potentially expanding the scope of
- 5:42Speaker 1: these allegations even further. Now, this latest accusation does not
- 5:48Speaker 1: stand alone. It comes on top of multiple prior claims,
- 5:52Speaker 1: including allegations from a former staffer and several other women,
- 5:56Speaker 1: ranging from inappropriate messages to accusations of sexual assault. The
- 6:01Speaker 1: political fallout has been swift and dramatic. Swalwell has already
- 6:05Speaker 1: announced his resignation from Congress, stepping down as pressure mounted
- 6:09Speaker 1: and investigations intensified, and for his part, Swalell is denying
- 6:13Speaker 1: these allegations through his legal team. He says he categorically
- 6:18Speaker 1: and unequivocally denies any sexual misconduct and claims the accusations
- 6:24Speaker 1: are false. But the reality is this what began is
- 6:27Speaker 1: a single allegations now turned into a growing scandal, multiple accusers,
- 6:32Speaker 1: a public press conference in LA and what appears to
- 6:35Speaker 1: be a widening legal and political crisis, and as more
- 6:40Speaker 1: women are reportedly considering coming forward, this story for Eric
- 6:44Speaker 1: Swalwell is far from over, which brings us back to
- 6:47Speaker 1: the point I said earlier, and I also said the
- 6:50Speaker 1: day before and the day before, there is no way
- 6:54Speaker 1: that the Democratic Party's leadership did not know that this
- 7:00Speaker 1: was a problem. There is no way, there is no
- 7:05Speaker 1: way that the leadership didn't see the warning signs coming
- 7:08Speaker 1: from many other people, and the Democratic Party protected Eric Swalwell.
- 7:14Speaker 1: What they didn't do is protect the women that he
- 7:17Speaker 1: was apparently abusing. Representative Anna Paulina Luna, she went on
- 7:22Speaker 1: CNN earlier today and said this about the investigation, and I.
- 7:28Speaker 5: Look forward to assisting the FBI with information that I
- 7:32Speaker 5: have regarding the investigation into former Representative Swalwell.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Can you expand on that Congressman.
- 7:39Speaker 5: Look, there's been a lot of reports you've heard about
- 7:42Speaker 5: people knowing information on the Hill, but there was some
- 7:44Speaker 5: information brought to my office. Specifically, I did obtain forensics
- 7:48Speaker 5: on that now infamous video in the hotel room. I
- 7:52Speaker 5: am hearing that there is an investigative report coming out
- 7:55Speaker 5: that he used his campaign funds to pay for that.
- 7:57Speaker 5: There's also been allegations that potentially the person that filmed
- 8:01Speaker 5: that video was potentially a minor. All of these things
- 8:04Speaker 5: obviously coming to my office, but I am going to
- 8:06Speaker 5: be handing over to the FBI because they are, to
- 8:09Speaker 5: my understanding now asking mister Swaball to come in and
- 8:11Speaker 5: talk to them.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Now, you can hear from the congress woman there that
- 8:15Speaker 1: things are moving at a very fast pace. And while
- 8:18Speaker 1: all this is happening, you had the House clerk on
- 8:22Speaker 1: the floor of the House of Representatives reading this simple
- 8:25Speaker 1: note that involves Eric Swalwell.
- 8:28Speaker 6: House of Representatives. Sir, I am deeply sorry to my
- 8:32Speaker 6: family's staff and constituents for mistakes and judgment I've made
- 8:36Speaker 6: in my past. I will fight the serious false allegations
- 8:39Speaker 6: made against me. However, I must take responsibility and ownership
- 8:43Speaker 6: from the mistakes I did make. I am aware of
- 8:46Speaker 6: efforts to bring an immediate expulsion vote against me and
- 8:49Speaker 6: other members. Expelling anyone in Congress without due process within
- 8:54Speaker 6: days of an allegation being made is wrong, but it's
- 8:57Speaker 6: also wrong for my constituents to have me distracted from
- 9:00Speaker 6: my duties. Therefore, I plan to resign my seat in Congress,
- 9:03Speaker 6: effective at two pm Eastern time on April fourteenth, twenty
- 9:07Speaker 6: twenty six. I will work with my staff in the
- 9:10Speaker 6: coming days to ensure they are able in my absence
- 9:13Speaker 6: to serve the needs of the good people of the
- 9:14Speaker 6: fourteenth Congressional District. Science Sincerely, Eric Swalwell.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Under that making it official as the letter was read
- 9:24Speaker 1: on the floor of the House. Now, to be clear,
- 9:27Speaker 1: that is the least of his problems resigning from the House,
- 9:31Speaker 1: the least of his worries. Good riddance to this individual.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And I go back to the question why we will
- 9:38Speaker 1: continue to cover this. There are two scandals here, one
- 9:42Speaker 1: involving directly Eric Swalwell and these potential number of victims
- 9:46Speaker 1: that we still don't know the total number of. And
- 9:48Speaker 1: then there's the second scandal. What did the Democratic leadership
- 9:52Speaker 1: know and what did they help him cover up so
- 9:56Speaker 1: he can continue to do these horrific crimes he's being
- 9:59Speaker 1: accused by the woman today holding that press conference. Quick break,
- 10:06Speaker 1: Senator John Thune doing something that many Republicans have been
- 10:10Speaker 1: waiting for for quite some time, standing up to the
- 10:13Speaker 1: radical left that he has to deal with in the Senate,
- 10:16Speaker 1: and now the majority leader in the Senate is signaling
- 10:20Speaker 1: that Republicans are prepared to go around Democrats entirely to
- 10:25Speaker 1: secure new funding for immigration and customs enforcement. You know
- 10:28Speaker 1: that as ICE as well as US and Border Protection
- 10:32Speaker 1: known as CBP, and the tools they're preparing to use
- 10:35Speaker 1: is one called budget reconciliation, one of the most powerful
- 10:39Speaker 1: and controversial maneuvers in Congress. So what exactly does this
- 10:44Speaker 1: mean is what many of you, I'm assuming are asking. Well,
- 10:47Speaker 1: let me explain it to you the best way I can. Normally,
- 10:50Speaker 1: in the Senate, you need sixty votes to pass major legislation.
- 10:54Speaker 1: That gives the minority party in this case, the Democrats,
- 10:57Speaker 1: the ability to block bills through the filibuster. But reconciliation
- 11:01Speaker 1: is actually very different. It allows certain budget related bills
- 11:06Speaker 1: to pass with a simple majority fifty one votes. No
- 11:10Speaker 1: filibuster can stop it. No need by the way, for
- 11:13Speaker 1: biparson support. If your party just backshoot, you're going to
- 11:16Speaker 1: get it done. So in other words, if Republicans stay unified,
- 11:20Speaker 1: which again we're talking about Republicans here and Republicans know
- 11:24Speaker 1: how to screw that up a lot. But if the
- 11:26Speaker 1: Republicans hypothetically stayed unified, they could then pass funding increases
- 11:32Speaker 1: for ICE and CBP without a single Democrat vote. That
- 11:36Speaker 1: it would be amazing And that's the reason why it
- 11:39Speaker 1: looks like this could possibly happen. Now here's how this
- 11:43Speaker 1: would actually work moving forward, so you understand, like the
- 11:47Speaker 1: timeline on this, Republicans would include new funding for border
- 11:52Speaker 1: enforcement agencies inside the broader budget package, something tied directly
- 11:58Speaker 1: to federal spending. It's a revenue is what is needed,
- 12:01Speaker 1: and this would obviously work into those categories. That is
- 12:06Speaker 1: key because reconciliation rules require that everything in the bill
- 12:09Speaker 1: have a direct budget impact. Then the package would go
- 12:13Speaker 1: through a fast track process in the Senate debate. Time
- 12:18Speaker 1: is also limited, so you can't just run out the
- 12:20Speaker 1: clock or stop everything forever. Amendments are also restricted, and
- 12:25Speaker 1: most importantly, it cannot be blocked by a filibuster which
- 12:29Speaker 1: is what Democrats will love doing. Now, there is a catch,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and I want you to understand this. There's something called
- 12:36Speaker 1: the Bird Rule, which allows the Senate Parliamentarian to strike
- 12:41Speaker 1: any provisions that are considered extraneous to the budget. So
- 12:46Speaker 1: Republicans will have to carefully structure this plan to ensure
- 12:51Speaker 1: that the funding for ICE and CBP clearly qualifies as
- 12:55Speaker 1: a budget related spinning measure. It cannot just be a
- 12:59Speaker 1: pile see change, otherwise it be kicked out. Now, if
- 13:04Speaker 1: the Republicans can thread the needle on this, and if
- 13:08Speaker 1: they can succeed, the bill passes with a simple majority vote.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And that's the strategy that John Thune is now laying out,
- 13:18Speaker 1: a way to deliver more resources for immigration enforcement even
- 13:22Speaker 1: in a divided government where biperson agreement is nearly impossible. Now, politically,
- 13:28Speaker 1: this is a major escalation. Democrats argue that using reconciliation
- 13:33Speaker 1: this way is an abuse of the process, abuse of power,
- 13:36Speaker 1: and they're going to lose their minds.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Get ready for it.
- 13:38Speaker 1: It's just going to be a normal day where Democrats
- 13:40Speaker 1: scream and beat their heads against the wall, right like
- 13:43Speaker 1: that's normal. This was designed by the way for fiscal
- 13:47Speaker 1: policy is not designed for sweeping enforcement priorities.
- 13:51Speaker 4: That is what's going to be argued on TV.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Now, what are the Republicans and what are conservatives going
- 13:57Speaker 1: to say in response to that? They're going to counter
- 13:59Speaker 1: the security is a budget issue. It's pointed the cost
- 14:04Speaker 1: of illegal immigration and the strain on federal resources.
- 14:08Speaker 4: We have numbers to back it up.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Right, you could bankrupt this country if you continue to
- 14:12Speaker 1: allow the flood of a wide open border of illegal
- 14:15Speaker 1: immigrants coming in. We know they've cost US hundreds of
- 14:18Speaker 1: billions of dollars at this point, and it will end
- 14:21Speaker 1: up costing US trillions of dollars to take care of
- 14:23Speaker 1: the illegal immigrants that have come into this country. That
- 14:26Speaker 1: is the talking point for Republicans. So, yes, this is
- 14:30Speaker 1: literally a budget issue. Now the other question you're going
- 14:33Speaker 1: to ask is, all right, well, then what's next. So
- 14:35Speaker 1: here's how this is going to play out based on
- 14:37Speaker 1: what I've been told. Republicans will move quickly. Reconciliation windows
- 14:42Speaker 1: are limited, and the leadership knows this may be their
- 14:46Speaker 1: best or only chance to secure major funding increases for
- 14:49Speaker 1: ICEN CBP this year, especially before the midterms. If they
- 14:53Speaker 1: can hold their votes and that's the problem because we've
- 14:56Speaker 1: got some squishy Republicans in Washington. So we got to
- 14:58Speaker 1: keep our majority alive, okay, And if we can hold
- 15:02Speaker 1: our votes, they will not need any Democrats to support
- 15:05Speaker 1: this measure. And then that sets up a high stakes
- 15:08Speaker 1: battle over not just immigration policy, but the rules of
- 15:12Speaker 1: the Senate itself. Now, this isn't just about funding these agencies, okay,
- 15:17Speaker 1: It's really about rewriting how major policy gets passed in DC.
- 15:22Speaker 1: And this fight is clearly started and it's been planned,
- 15:26Speaker 1: and Thune seems to be on board. Now, I want
- 15:29Speaker 1: you to hear what Thune said when he was walking
- 15:32Speaker 1: out in front of the media. I also want to
- 15:33Speaker 1: be clear he said this very quickly. He didn't dive
- 15:37Speaker 1: into it much, and I think part of that's just
- 15:39Speaker 1: because he's like, look, I want to get this done.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I want to get done now, and I don't want
- 15:42Speaker 1: to argue over it much. And we're going to go
- 15:44Speaker 1: full court press. That is promising because there seems to
- 15:47Speaker 1: be some actual gamesmanship here and planning by the Senate leadership.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Listen, So the budget resolution Senator Graham is preparing, we
- 15:56Speaker 2: will have on the floor, hopefully as early as next week,
- 15:59Speaker 2: we'll provide multiple years of funding for these agencies, and
- 16:03Speaker 2: a reconciliation bill which will follow shortly after. We'll ensure
- 16:07Speaker 2: that that job gets done. So that's where we are
- 16:10Speaker 2: in the process. But we're going to move quickly, decisively,
- 16:13Speaker 2: and hopefully in a very focused way on ensuring that
- 16:17Speaker 2: those important law enforcement agencies, contrary to the Democrats' defund
- 16:22Speaker 2: law enforcement efforts, are funded not only today but well
- 16:26Speaker 2: into the future.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You can hear it there, very quick moving quickly, going quickly.
- 16:32Speaker 1: That is what the Senate Majority leader is saying. Now.
- 16:36Speaker 1: What's also interesting is while this was happening, it seems
- 16:40Speaker 1: that John Thune has actually woken up to the idea
- 16:42Speaker 1: that he better starts sitting up for what conservatives want
- 16:45Speaker 1: ahead of the midterms. The leader of the gop on
- 16:50Speaker 1: voter ID said this from the floor of the Senate.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Listened to what he's saying, and this involves the Save Act.
- 16:58Speaker 7: The junior Democrat from New York said this, and again,
- 17:00Speaker 7: I quote the ideas that we have in our wallets
- 17:03Speaker 7: should be good enough to vote. End quote. Well, mister President,
- 17:09Speaker 7: that is exactly what we offered. Licenses, state ID cards,
- 17:17Speaker 7: tribal IDs, we're all acceptable forms of IDA in our proposal,
- 17:21Speaker 7: the same kinds of ID that we have in our
- 17:25Speaker 7: wallets right now, this president, multiple Democrat centers even acknowledge
- 17:30Speaker 7: that their own states have voter IDEA requirements and that
- 17:33Speaker 7: they work. The junior senator from Georgia came to the
- 17:36Speaker 7: floor and said this, and I quote again, I think
- 17:39Speaker 7: you should have to prove that you are who you
- 17:41Speaker 7: say you are before you vote. I support voter ID.
- 17:46Speaker 7: We have voter ID laws in my state. You should
- 17:50Speaker 7: have to prove that you are who you say you
- 17:52Speaker 7: are before you vote.
- 17:54Speaker 4: End quote.
- 17:55Speaker 7: I couldn't have said it better myself and the Democrat
- 17:59Speaker 7: leaders and I quote, our objection as Democrats is not
- 18:04Speaker 7: to a photo ID end quote, except as democrats recent
- 18:08Speaker 7: vote demonstrates, that's not actually true. Before the vote, the
- 18:12Speaker 7: Democrat leader spoke on the floor and made it clear
- 18:14Speaker 7: that when he says he supports voter ID, he means
- 18:17Speaker 7: that he supports voter ID as long as the ID
- 18:21Speaker 7: requirements in question are essentially meaningless. And he's not the
- 18:27Speaker 7: only one to quote a recent news story. The junior
- 18:31Speaker 7: center from Colorado said, and I quote, he supports voter ID,
- 18:36Speaker 7: but signal he will vote know when informed that the
- 18:39Speaker 7: bill does not allow voters to use a utility bill
- 18:43Speaker 7: to prove identity end quote. He voted no because you
- 18:49Speaker 7: can't show a utility bill as a form of ID.
- 18:54Speaker 7: Miss President, you can't make this stuff up. The senator
- 18:57Speaker 7: from Colorado used to own a brewery in Denver, and
- 19:01Speaker 7: I have to wonder whether you could show a utility
- 19:04Speaker 7: bill to buy a beer there. I doubt it, but
- 19:08Speaker 7: this is what Democrats think is good enough for our elections.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Now, let me just be clear.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I've been pretty critical of Fune and his leadership. I
- 19:16Speaker 1: think he doesn't lead boldly enough. I will give him credit.
- 19:20Speaker 1: In the last twenty four hours on these two issues,
- 19:22Speaker 1: he seems to finally have woken up and realize he
- 19:26Speaker 1: has to lead. I hope that he moves forward with
- 19:29Speaker 1: as quickly as he's describing it.
- 19:31Speaker 4: We're going to keep you update on all of it.
- 19:33Speaker 1: That I can promise you quick break Ben Ferguson's show
- 19:36Speaker 1: more after this. Finally something to cheer about coming out
- 19:41Speaker 1: of Washington, d C.
- 19:43Speaker 4: In the Senate.
- 19:44Speaker 1: A major development is happening as we speak, and it'll
- 19:47Speaker 1: be a big win for border security and it's coming
- 19:51Speaker 1: straight from the Republicans, the Senate Majority Leader John Thune,
- 19:56Speaker 1: making it clear funding for border enforcement is not just
- 20:00Speaker 1: a priority, it's going to happen, And importantly, he says,
- 20:04Speaker 1: Republicans are prepared to get it done with or without
- 20:08Speaker 1: Democrats support.
- 20:11Speaker 2: So the Budget Resolution Center Graham is preparing we will
- 20:15Speaker 2: have on the floor, hopefully as early as next week,
- 20:17Speaker 2: will provide multiple years of funding for these agencies, and
- 20:21Speaker 2: a reconciliation bill which will follow shortly after we'll ensure
- 20:25Speaker 2: that that job gets done. So that's where we are
- 20:28Speaker 2: in the process. But we're going to move quickly, decisively,
- 20:32Speaker 2: and hopefully in a very focused way on ensuring that
- 20:36Speaker 2: those important law enforcement agencies, contrary to the Democrats' defund
- 20:41Speaker 2: law enforcement efforts, are funded not only today but well
- 20:44Speaker 2: into the future.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Now, the key part here that you need to understand
- 20:48Speaker 1: is the planning aspect of this. Using a powerful legislative
- 20:52Speaker 1: tool called budget reconciliation, that is the only way that
- 20:55Speaker 1: this will actually happen. Now, let me make it even
- 20:59Speaker 1: more clear for you so that you understand why this
- 21:02Speaker 1: is being celebrated by me and many others that have
- 21:05Speaker 1: been demanding stronger border enforcement. In Washington, most major legislation
- 21:11Speaker 1: requires sixty votes in the Senate to move it forward.
- 21:15Speaker 1: That means you typically need what bipartisan support, Well, right now,
- 21:18Speaker 1: the Democrats are so out of their mind you're never
- 21:21Speaker 1: going to get that. But reconciliation, well that is the
- 21:24Speaker 1: game changer because reconciliation it allows certain budget related bills
- 21:32Speaker 1: to pass with just a simple majority, meaning fifty one votes.
- 21:37Speaker 1: So instead of needing Democrats to sign on, Republicans are
- 21:41Speaker 1: now saying we're going to move forward on our own
- 21:44Speaker 1: and as long as Republicans stay united, this will absolutely work.
- 21:48Speaker 1: And that's exactly what John Thune is signaling. No more delays,
- 21:53Speaker 1: no more gridlock, just action and a massive win for
- 21:57Speaker 1: the American people on a national security issue. And what
- 22:00Speaker 1: kind of action are we talking about, Well, it will
- 22:02Speaker 1: be more resources for ICE agents on the ground and
- 22:06Speaker 1: more support for CBP officers on the border, more funding
- 22:11Speaker 1: for enforcement as well, and the technology needed as well
- 22:15Speaker 1: as operations designed to secure the United States of America
- 22:19Speaker 1: for millions of Americans who've been frustrated watching border issues spiral.
- 22:24Speaker 1: While Washington argues this is being seen as a turning
- 22:28Speaker 1: point and something Republicans needed to get done very quickly
- 22:32Speaker 1: ahead of the midterm elections. So that's why they chose
- 22:36Speaker 1: this approach. If Congress can't come together in their traditional way,
- 22:40Speaker 1: leadership is now signaling they're going to use every legal
- 22:43Speaker 1: tool available to deliver the results the American people demanded
- 22:47Speaker 1: in the last elections. And that's what makes this moment
- 22:50Speaker 1: even more significant because reconciliation isn't just a procedural maneuver.
- 22:56Speaker 4: It's a signal of urgency. It's leadership.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Finally, he's saying, and I'm criticizing Republican leadership right now,
- 23:03Speaker 1: this issue is too important to wait. Obviously, the President
- 23:07Speaker 1: United says in America couldn't be happier about this now.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Supporters of this movie are also.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Arguing that strong funding for ICE and CBP not only
- 23:17Speaker 1: means better enforcement of existing immigration laws, increase nacial security,
- 23:22Speaker 1: and more stability at the border, but also it supports
- 23:26Speaker 1: the men and women who are tasked with protecting this
- 23:29Speaker 1: country and put their life on the line every day.
- 23:32Speaker 1: And by using reconciliation, lawmakers can ensure these priorities don't
- 23:37Speaker 1: get bogged down in political stallmates stalemates. Now, of course,
- 23:42Speaker 1: Democrats are going to fight tooth and nail to do
- 23:45Speaker 1: everything they can to try to stop this.
- 23:47Speaker 4: But the good news is the plan right now is simple.
- 23:50Speaker 1: If Republicans stay together, this will actually become a reality.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And that is exactly the message from the leadership. John
- 23:59Speaker 1: Thune is in hedge. He's not saying maybe or we'll see.
- 24:03Speaker 1: He's now finally saying Americans are going to get the funding,
- 24:07Speaker 1: and they're going to get it soon. And that's exactly
- 24:10Speaker 1: what the President has been demanding for now almost two years.
- 24:15Speaker 1: All right now, I also want to get to another
- 24:17Speaker 1: really important story that no one is covering right now.
- 24:21Speaker 1: There is a new breaking news article that is extremely
- 24:24Speaker 1: important and there's a reason why the media is not
- 24:28Speaker 1: covering it because it deals with how the Biden administration
- 24:32Speaker 1: partnered literally with abortion activists to track and imprison pro lifers.
- 24:40Speaker 1: The Biden administration snooped on pro life activists before charging
- 24:46Speaker 1: them with any crimes. President Joe Biden's administration relied we
- 24:51Speaker 1: now have learned on information gathered from radical pro abortion
- 24:55Speaker 1: groups to prosecute and snoop on the peaceful pro life
- 24:59Speaker 1: pro protesters. The new emails released Tuesday by the Trump
- 25:03Speaker 1: administration explicitly show. The emails not only show that a
- 25:08Speaker 1: top Justice Department official was referring to an abortion activists
- 25:13Speaker 1: as an MVP for flagging pro life protests to prosecute
- 25:19Speaker 1: and seeking to track the travel plans of Christian pro
- 25:23Speaker 1: life activists not yet charged with any crimes. The emails
- 25:28Speaker 1: also revealed pro abortion organizations providing dossier's to the Biden
- 25:34Speaker 1: DOJ with personal information and pictures of pro life activists
- 25:39Speaker 1: who were later literally arrested by the FBI. Now, these
- 25:44Speaker 1: files that were put together by these radical abortion activists
- 25:49Speaker 1: contained the information we now have learned of the pro
- 25:52Speaker 1: life activists who were not yet charged with any federal crimes,
- 25:57Speaker 1: but were deemed threats by the abortion groups because of
- 26:00Speaker 1: their activities you know, like praying on a sidewalk outside
- 26:03Speaker 1: of an abortion clinic. Many of these individuals would later
- 26:07Speaker 1: be prosecuted by the Biden administration. Under Biden, we also
- 26:13Speaker 1: learned that dozens pro life protesters were prosecuted for peaceful
- 26:17Speaker 1: protests that included praying, singing, and sitting in front of
- 26:21Speaker 1: doors of abortion facilities. Several were sentenced to years in prison,
- 26:26Speaker 1: with others awaiting sentencing before President Trump pardoned the pro
- 26:30Speaker 1: life activists his first week in office. These emails, released
- 26:35Speaker 1: on Tuesday were included an extensive report documenting how the
- 26:40Speaker 1: Biden administration weaponized the freedom of access to clinic entrances,
- 26:45Speaker 1: known as the Face Act, against these pro life activists. Now,
- 26:50Speaker 1: this law was originally passed to protect both crisis pregnancy
- 26:54Speaker 1: centers and abortion facilities, but has been disproportionately used against
- 26:59Speaker 1: pro life protests. And now you know why because this
- 27:02Speaker 1: weapisation now can be directly traced to Biden resurrecting the
- 27:08Speaker 1: National Task Force on Violence against Reproductive Healthcare Providers shortly
- 27:12Speaker 1: after he was elected. That according to Justice Department, and
- 27:16Speaker 1: the task Force operated largely out of the Department's Civil
- 27:20Speaker 1: Rights Division under the direction of Saint John Patel, who
- 27:25Speaker 1: was reportedly fired on Monday.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Quote.
- 27:29Speaker 1: The task Force director was in regular ongoing contact with
- 27:34Speaker 1: pro abortion non governmental organizations you'll know them as NGOs
- 27:40Speaker 1: and the clinics they represented, but disparaged pro life groups,
- 27:45Speaker 1: the Justice.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Department said in their statement.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Pro abortion groups capitalized on their relationship with the Task
- 27:51Speaker 1: Force to gain internal information and then pushed targets to
- 27:56Speaker 1: Face Act enforcement. Patel was on texting terms with the
- 28:01Speaker 1: National Abortion Federation security team and regularly communicated with Planned Parenthood,
- 28:06Speaker 1: Federation of America, and the Feminist Majority Foundation, The Justice
- 28:11Speaker 1: Department confirmed as well. In just one exchange from November
- 28:16Speaker 1: of twenty twenty one, Patel connected an FBI agent with
- 28:21Speaker 1: Michelle Davison, the security director for the National Abortion Federation.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Patel told the unidentified FBI agent the Davison was a
- 28:30Speaker 1: wonderful contact for me as it relates to the Face
- 28:33Speaker 1: Act investigations.
- 28:35Speaker 4: She has been an MVP bringing incidents.
- 28:38Speaker 1: To my attention, often in real time, which usually results
- 28:42Speaker 1: in investigation slash prosecution. The email was labeled as highly
- 28:47Speaker 1: important and began with Patel greeting both how the heck
- 28:51Speaker 1: are you now? The bombshell revelation also included details of
- 28:55Speaker 1: how abortion group provided dossier's to government officials with information
- 29:00Speaker 1: on multiple pro life activists that were then arrested by
- 29:03Speaker 1: the FBI. The report said that Petel monitored the pro
- 29:07Speaker 1: life activists for years before charging them. This monitoring included
- 29:12Speaker 1: three of the pardon defendants. One dossier provided to Pattel
- 29:16Speaker 1: from an abortion group in twenty twenty one contained personally
- 29:20Speaker 1: identified information including addresses, photographs, including of spouses, and young children,
- 29:28Speaker 1: names of associates and affiliated ministries, information about their upcoming
- 29:33Speaker 1: travel plans or protest plans, and even driver's license numbers
- 29:38Speaker 1: of pro life activists. That all according to the Justice Department.
- 29:43Speaker 1: One man who faced particular scrutiny from the Biden DOJ
- 29:48Speaker 1: was Calvin Zastro, an evangelical Christian from Michigan who travels
- 29:54Speaker 1: the country with his family, engaging in evangelism and pro
- 29:57Speaker 1: life activism. Emails show VDE that Disastro and members of
- 30:02Speaker 1: his family were flagged for the Justice Department, and that
- 30:05Speaker 1: Patel even enlisted the help of abortion activists to track
- 30:09Speaker 1: the whereabouts and activities of Zastro, years before he was
- 30:13Speaker 1: charged with any crimes. A few months later, Pateel reached
- 30:17Speaker 1: out to the National Abortion Federation to inquire about his
- 30:21Speaker 1: travel plans, saying this, do you have any info on
- 30:25Speaker 1: Zastro and companies traveled to Montana? Pettel asked Davidson of
- 30:30Speaker 1: the National Abortion Federation on September the ninth, twenty twenty one.
- 30:34Speaker 1: That came after Davison emailed the DOJ telling officials quote
- 30:39Speaker 1: she bet that Disastro might attempt to lead a protest
- 30:42Speaker 1: and an abortion facility in Montana.
- 30:46Speaker 4: So what does this mean. It means that the government.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Was weaponized by the Biden administration to go after anyone
- 30:54Speaker 1: that disagreed with Joe Biden, his doj ornither radical left politically,
- 31:00Speaker 1: didn't matter if you had or had not committed a crime,
- 31:03Speaker 1: if you said the wrong thing, or prayed at the
- 31:06Speaker 1: wrong place, or supported the life of an unborn child,
- 31:10Speaker 1: then you were a target for the Biden administration to
- 31:13Speaker 1: put into jail. Let that sync in and now you
- 31:17Speaker 1: understand exactly why no one in the media is covering
- 31:21Speaker 1: this story.
