- 1:42Speaker 2: Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 6: You probably got to turn the mouth, turn out the
- 1:47Speaker 6: water the morning up.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on, you'll think, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 7: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 7: one and only Steve Harley got a radio show. You
- 2:12Speaker 7: know this week, I just been on it, so today
- 2:15Speaker 7: is no different. I'm telling you, I've just reinvigorated myself.
- 2:20Speaker 7: I'm more determined to share the principles of success. I'm
- 2:25Speaker 7: more determined to help and guide and teach as many
- 2:30Speaker 7: people as I can the things that I've learned. And
- 2:32Speaker 7: I mean, man, I've been through it. I have really
- 2:35Speaker 7: been through it. I kid you not.
- 2:37Speaker 8: You know.
- 2:37Speaker 7: I used to say, Okay, God, you know, why is
- 2:39Speaker 7: all this happening to me? But as I've gotten older,
- 2:43Speaker 7: I understand that was the ingredients. I needed the ingredients
- 2:47Speaker 7: to be this cake. I needed all those ingredients stirred up.
- 2:52Speaker 7: I need all of that different flavors, the stuff that
- 2:55Speaker 7: I didn't think tastes so good. All that stuff had
- 2:58Speaker 7: to come into the bowl in order for me to
- 3:00Speaker 7: get to where I am today.
- 3:02Speaker 1: As much as I.
- 3:03Speaker 7: Did not like the taste of the ingredients, little did
- 3:08Speaker 7: I know God was making this cake, not me. But
- 3:11Speaker 7: what he did was and you've heard the old saying
- 3:14Speaker 7: God could turn lemons into lemonade, Well that's what he
- 3:19Speaker 7: was doing now. At the time, it all had a
- 3:23Speaker 7: little funky lemonade lemony flavor to it, with some other
- 3:28Speaker 7: stuff in it too.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I didn't care for it.
- 3:30Speaker 7: But little did I know that I needed everything that
- 3:34Speaker 7: happened to me, that happened to me in the exact
- 3:36Speaker 7: order that it happened, and the exact array of things
- 3:39Speaker 7: that happened for me to have the knowledge I have today,
- 3:42Speaker 7: the experience, the attitude, so I could turn around and
- 3:48Speaker 7: share that information. Okay, got that out the way. This
- 3:53Speaker 7: is what I want to give to you today. I
- 3:55Speaker 7: want you to understand something that discipline determined your destiny,
- 4:01Speaker 7: not your desire. Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 4:09Speaker 7: You've heard me say this how many times on the
- 4:10Speaker 7: show Okay, here we go again, Steve, I got it.
- 4:13Speaker 7: Faith without works is dead. But let me tell you something.
- 4:19Speaker 7: To be a hard worker, you got to be disciplined.
- 4:21Speaker 7: That's one of the hardest lessons I'm trying to get
- 4:24Speaker 7: through to my sons. You're gonna throw yourself down a
- 4:27Speaker 7: cliff if you're not a young man or a man
- 4:30Speaker 7: that possesses discipline. Because they got something for undisciplined people.
- 4:36Speaker 1: They got some.
- 4:36Speaker 7: Street laws for undisciplined people, and they got some federal
- 4:40Speaker 7: laws and state laws for undisciplined people. See, that's why
- 4:44Speaker 7: them signs is outside on the freeway. We're gonna let
- 4:47Speaker 7: you go fast. But seventy is the limit. Seventy fast enough. Really,
- 4:52Speaker 7: if you're disciplined enough of a person to leave your
- 4:56Speaker 7: house at the time you're supposed to leave your.
- 4:58Speaker 1: House, seventy miles per hour is absolutely enough.
- 5:02Speaker 7: But if you're an undisciplined person, if you don't have
- 5:05Speaker 7: the wherewithal to leave your house on time, to get
- 5:08Speaker 7: ready to go where you wanna go, see the desires
- 5:12Speaker 7: where you wanna go. The discipline is how you get there.
- 5:16Speaker 7: You understand you can wanna go to see your family
- 5:20Speaker 7: in California all you want, but the flight leaves at
- 5:24Speaker 7: one eighteen.
- 5:25Speaker 1: You leave your house at twelve thirty.
- 5:27Speaker 7: They told you you must check in one hour before
- 5:32Speaker 7: your flight. Now, if you ain't got the discipline to
- 5:35Speaker 7: get to the airport to check in one hour before
- 5:38Speaker 7: your flight, leaving your house forty five minutes before the
- 5:41Speaker 7: flight departs, what you think gonna happen?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Your desire to go see your family.
- 5:47Speaker 7: In la is going to be thwarted because you lack
- 5:51Speaker 7: the discipline to prepare yourself and get yourself ready to
- 5:55Speaker 7: do the things that you have to do to make
- 5:58Speaker 7: your desires come true. Telling you discipline determines your destiny,
- 6:03Speaker 7: not your desire. You can write down a list of
- 6:06Speaker 7: stuff you wanna do all day, but if you don't
- 6:08Speaker 7: produce and show the discipline necessary to get there, what
- 6:12Speaker 7: you think gonna happen?
- 6:15Speaker 3: Huh?
- 6:16Speaker 7: Okay, I wanna be rich. Okay, I wanna make four
- 6:20Speaker 7: hundred thousand a year. Okay, I wanna be the best
- 6:25Speaker 7: player that they is. Okay, but you don't want practice.
- 6:29Speaker 7: See the cat that's disciplined enough to show up at practice,
- 6:33Speaker 7: that's shooting jumpers when everybody gone home. That's the guy
- 6:36Speaker 7: that's gonna be the best. The guy that's never late
- 6:39Speaker 7: for practice, the guy to study the playbook. That's the
- 6:42Speaker 7: guy that's gonna make it, not the guy that's talking crack,
- 6:45Speaker 7: got stalking that smack. I'm gonna make the Pro Bowl,
- 6:48Speaker 7: I'm gonna make the All Star Team, I'm gonna be
- 6:50Speaker 7: All American. That's just what you're saying. But discipline determines
- 6:55Speaker 7: your destiny, not your desire. So now let's talk about
- 6:59Speaker 7: this discipline. What is that, really, Steve.
- 7:02Speaker 1: That's your work ethic, that's your hunger, that's your wheel.
- 7:07Speaker 7: Discipline is how hard you're willing to demonstrate the attributes
- 7:14Speaker 7: and the traits to be what you want to be.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Did you hear me?
- 7:19Speaker 7: It is your willingness to conduct yourself in a manner
- 7:24Speaker 7: that is above and beyond what they say is necessary.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Now, this is a good example right here.
- 7:31Speaker 9: Now.
- 7:31Speaker 7: You can want to be in the NFL all you want,
- 7:34Speaker 7: but they got this thing called the NFL Combines where
- 7:38Speaker 7: they bring in some of the top players at every
- 7:40Speaker 7: position to come in and they gonna run a forty
- 7:43Speaker 7: yard dash, They're gonna do a standing broad jump, they're
- 7:47Speaker 7: gonna do a standing vertical leap.
- 7:51Speaker 1: They gonna do drills, running drills, cutting drills.
- 7:55Speaker 7: They can determine if a lineback of God stiff hips
- 7:59Speaker 7: by making backpedal, point him in one direction and throw
- 8:02Speaker 7: the football in another direction. How does he turn his body?
- 8:05Speaker 7: Now you can say you can tell everybody at your
- 8:07Speaker 7: college you want to play pro football. You can tell
- 8:10Speaker 7: everybody at your high school. You can tell them in
- 8:11Speaker 7: pee wee you wanna play pro football. But they got
- 8:14Speaker 7: tests for you though. It's called the combines. Now you
- 8:17Speaker 7: get out here and you have a bad combine day,
- 8:20Speaker 7: ain't nobody trying to hear that. Let me tell you
- 8:22Speaker 7: how excuses don't work with people when they just trying
- 8:24Speaker 7: to get when they trying to win in the NFL.
- 8:28Speaker 7: The fact that you had a bad day at the
- 8:30Speaker 7: combine and you don't run your best forties and you
- 8:33Speaker 7: keep telling them you could do better, they don't want
- 8:35Speaker 7: to hear that. Because see, what ain't nobody gonna pay
- 8:37Speaker 7: you for is to play on Sunday. And that's one
- 8:40Speaker 7: of your bad days. We paying you to play on Sundays.
- 8:45Speaker 7: But because you keep having these bad days, because you
- 8:49Speaker 7: ain't disciplined enough to put in the work to make
- 8:51Speaker 7: sure that your maximum can be called upon at any time.
- 8:55Speaker 7: Now you at to combine with some slow times that
- 8:58Speaker 7: go on your record. You had to combine. You don't
- 9:01Speaker 7: jump as high as you did when you was at
- 9:02Speaker 7: the gym class. Well, hold up, man, this is show
- 9:06Speaker 7: day now in the NFL, Sunday is show day. What
- 9:10Speaker 7: they can't run the risk of is paying you your money.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And your bad day happen to be on Sundays after
- 9:16Speaker 1: we didn't cut your check.
- 9:17Speaker 7: No, no, no, We looking for people who limit them
- 9:20Speaker 7: bad days, who got the discipline to work hard, to
- 9:23Speaker 7: make an effort for it. You understand what I'm saying
- 9:26Speaker 7: to your folks, Please understand this. Discipline determines your destiny,
- 9:31Speaker 7: not your desire. If you can want it all you want,
- 9:35Speaker 7: But if you ain't working, if you ain't grinding, if
- 9:38Speaker 7: you ain't hurting, if you ain't sweating real bad, if
- 9:42Speaker 7: you always somewhere, got to chill, you got to have
- 9:46Speaker 7: a cold one, you got to smoke one, You got
- 9:48Speaker 7: to do all them things. Can I tell you something
- 9:51Speaker 7: you ain't gonna make it? Discipline determines your destiny, not
- 9:56Speaker 7: your desire.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning show, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:05Speaker 1: welcome aboard all in hell ye here, ye all that,
- 10:11Speaker 1: just all.
- 10:11Speaker 7: That it's gonna be a great day today. I don't know, man,
- 10:15Speaker 7: I just I just start my days like that. I
- 10:17Speaker 7: lived my life with the expectation that God is gonna
- 10:20Speaker 7: do something great, and he always does. And it begins
- 10:24Speaker 7: with waking you up. If you don't think that's great,
- 10:26Speaker 7: try not waking up tomorrow. I'm telling you right now
- 10:29Speaker 7: it probably ain't a good feeling. I don't know what
- 10:30Speaker 7: that feel like because I always wake up. But if
- 10:33Speaker 7: you don't wake up, I'm pretty sure you're gonna be
- 10:35Speaker 7: real sad. You're gonna be real, real sad. Today is
- 10:39Speaker 7: the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice
- 10:42Speaker 7: and be glad in it. For sure, you feel me.

- 14:45Speaker 13: I don't mean to be giving you a call this
- 14:47Speaker 13: late in the evening, but I am the new youth
- 14:50Speaker 13: minister I haven't. My name is Sean Williams over at
- 14:54Speaker 13: Missionary Baptist Church, which mineus.
- 14:56Speaker 8: Go what's new youth Minnesota?
- 14:59Speaker 13: What happened to Uh he's no longer with the church anymore? Man, No, no, well,
- 15:07Speaker 13: I'm not at liberty to speak upon that. But but
- 15:10Speaker 13: what I was doing is getting around and making sure
- 15:12Speaker 13: I met everyone because I haven't met everyone yet, and
- 15:16Speaker 13: I wanted to reach out to everyone at the church.
- 15:20Speaker 13: But listen, let me let me get down to some
- 15:22Speaker 13: more business, because I've I've spoken with the pastor.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Uh we spoke.
- 15:30Speaker 9: Bishop Okay, I spoke with him.
- 15:35Speaker 13: On yesterday, and we have narrowed some things down of
- 15:40Speaker 13: a few changes we're going to be making at the church.
- 15:42Speaker 13: And what we want to do is one of the
- 15:44Speaker 13: major subjects that have come up, sister, is that we're
- 15:48Speaker 13: wanting you, if at all possible, and the deacons we're
- 15:52Speaker 13: in on this meeting as well, but wanting you to
- 15:55Speaker 13: change your attitude when people are coming in and you're
- 15:58Speaker 13: seating them.
- 15:59Speaker 1: From my understanding, it's gotten to the point where.
- 16:01Speaker 8: They think you wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait
- 16:03Speaker 8: a minute.
- 16:03Speaker 14: Wait, I had a meeting on me.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Well it wasn't a meeting.
- 16:07Speaker 9: I don't listen here.
- 16:09Speaker 8: I've been ushering on that usher board for forty seven years.
- 16:13Speaker 8: I am the singing usher on that board, and I've
- 16:18Speaker 8: been trying to be nuts about it. But I don't
- 16:19Speaker 8: understand how y'all don't have a meeting without me all,
- 16:24Speaker 8: But now you won't call here and tell me that
- 16:27Speaker 8: you're gonna have you having a meeting on me about
- 16:29Speaker 8: me being nice, always nice.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Well, ma'am, that doesn't.
- 16:33Speaker 9: Seem to be a problem with that.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Son olds you twenty seven.
- 16:37Speaker 8: Manna some boy to call me? You know, I don't
- 16:42Speaker 8: make no proper Okay.
- 16:43Speaker 14: What does it get one?
- 16:44Speaker 4: What is it?
- 16:45Speaker 9: Well?
- 16:45Speaker 13: What that's actually my call, ma'am, is that maybe we
- 16:48Speaker 13: figured if I would call and speak with you about
- 16:50Speaker 13: the matter, that maybe we can get to some type
- 16:53Speaker 13: of uh rectifying this situation to.
- 16:56Speaker 8: Where we can we're gonna rectify here. I'm gonna rectify.
- 16:59Speaker 8: You calling me this time of night time.
- 17:02Speaker 14: I some meeting.
- 17:04Speaker 8: This don't make no time and I don't appression nate
- 17:06Speaker 8: you calling me any time of night. Away, Bishop, I
- 17:10Speaker 8: need to speak the bishop.
- 17:11Speaker 1: You Bishop.
- 17:14Speaker 8: I've been at this church for forty seven years. I've
- 17:17Speaker 8: been say, oh my life, this don't make no type
- 17:19Speaker 8: of sense. You calling me here with this mess. Now,
- 17:22Speaker 8: this y'all gonna make me cuss. I'm trying to be
- 17:24Speaker 8: a question, but y'all not gonna lost me be a Christian.
- 17:28Speaker 8: She's just gonna just gonna agitate me with this mess.
- 17:31Speaker 8: We're telling me about something.
- 17:32Speaker 13: Be nice, well, Mamber, that that son that you're having
- 17:34Speaker 13: problems when you're seeding the people, and that's all that
- 17:37Speaker 13: we're trying to get wified.
- 17:39Speaker 8: People don't want to sit down. They want to go
- 17:41Speaker 8: over here, they want to go over there. They want
- 17:43Speaker 8: to have the children run or to and frow. It's
- 17:44Speaker 8: like a bunch of beamons a while he's bucking around
- 17:47Speaker 8: in the trust like they ain't got no sense. And
- 17:50Speaker 8: I'm not gonna have it in my section.
- 17:51Speaker 1: My section is gonna be strife, and I understand it.
- 17:54Speaker 9: Let you know what.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I think. If we did this.
- 17:58Speaker 13: If you would do me a favor and hold your phone,
- 18:00Speaker 13: and if you would just bow your head right now
- 18:02Speaker 13: for me, maybe we can come to to get to get.
- 18:06Speaker 10: The man up.
- 18:06Speaker 8: What a head, if we can thraws clean, it's hospital
- 18:14Speaker 8: corfe it don't make no traverse for what did I
- 18:16Speaker 8: buy my head?
- 18:17Speaker 13: If you could, maybe if you could close your eyes, sister, sister,
- 18:22Speaker 13: I said.
- 18:23Speaker 8: You called me and woke me up out of my
- 18:25Speaker 8: fleet with this mess. Come on, come meet. I am
- 18:28Speaker 8: therein nor at this and I don't appreciate it, and
- 18:30Speaker 8: I'm gonna tell you right now, I'm gonna.
- 18:31Speaker 14: Speak to this now.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Father. We asked that you look down upon sister.
- 18:35Speaker 15: We asked that you look down upon her right now,
- 18:39Speaker 15: right now, asking that you put a smile on her
- 18:42Speaker 15: face on Sunday morning, asking that you put some joy
- 18:45Speaker 15: in her heart on Sunday morning, asking that you draw
- 18:48Speaker 15: all the pain that she in, the anguish that she
- 18:51Speaker 15: might be going through whatever demon there is inside.
- 18:54Speaker 1: We asked that you draw that demon out.

- 56:51Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter, all right.
- 56:54Speaker 4: Subject he hates his wife, but I don't. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 57:00Speaker 4: I'm a forty four year old married man and my
- 57:03Speaker 4: sister in law is living with us temporarily. She and
- 57:07Speaker 4: my brother are separated because she caught my brother in
- 57:10Speaker 4: her bed with another woman that happened to live next door.
- 57:14Speaker 1: The woman happened to live next door.
- 57:16Speaker 4: She took pictures of him in the act, and she
- 57:18Speaker 4: posted them to her Facebook page. He told her that
- 57:22Speaker 4: he hates her in the comments. She was willing to
- 57:25Speaker 4: work things out, but the word hate kept coming back
- 57:28Speaker 4: to her mind. She had a bad phone call with
- 57:31Speaker 4: him one day about a month ago, and when I
- 57:33Speaker 4: walked in, she was crying. Naturally, I comforted her, and
- 57:38Speaker 4: in her vulnerable state, she told me that it felt
- 57:41Speaker 4: good to be touched.
- 57:42Speaker 5: So I continued to touch her to make her feel better.
- 57:46Speaker 4: It was innocent at first, but then she started touching
- 57:49Speaker 4: me back, and she touched me in a certain place
- 57:52Speaker 4: for a very long time, so it was only right
- 57:56Speaker 4: for me to.
- 57:56Speaker 5: Return the favor.
- 57:58Speaker 4: I had the most passionate kiss that day, and it
- 58:01Speaker 4: led to us having a heated affair in my house
- 58:05Speaker 4: where I live with my wife and kids. It's not
- 58:09Speaker 4: even awkward because she and I have an understanding. My
- 58:12Speaker 4: role is to help her move past the hurt, and
- 58:14Speaker 4: her role is to help me release sexual tension I
- 58:17Speaker 4: have in my marriage. I don't feel bad about it,
- 58:20Speaker 4: and neither does she. In fact, I encourage her daily
- 58:24Speaker 4: to work things out with my brother, and I talked
- 58:26Speaker 4: to him about coming to get his wife out of
- 58:28Speaker 4: my house. I don't really want her to go because
- 58:32Speaker 4: it's convenient, but I'm convinced this affair will still go
- 58:36Speaker 4: on even after she's moved back home. I'm concerned that
- 58:39Speaker 4: she's catching feelings. Though I had an affair before and
- 58:43Speaker 4: had to end it because the woman fell from me.
- 58:48Speaker 4: Can I trust that she is in this for the
- 58:50Speaker 4: same reasons as I am. What if this is some
- 58:52Speaker 4: kind of revenge hmm. I don't care how much you
- 58:56Speaker 4: try to justify this.
- 58:58Speaker 5: This is just wrong.
- 58:59Speaker 4: It's wrong, and you're asking the wrong questions. You wrote
- 59:05Speaker 4: this letter like you did something good, like you're really
- 59:08Speaker 4: trying to help her, like you should be commended because
- 59:12Speaker 4: you were there for her to help her get over
- 59:15Speaker 4: her pain. No, you're married and this is your brother's wife.
- 59:20Speaker 4: You should be asking why are you cheating on your wife?
- 59:24Speaker 4: And why are you betraying your brother? Or why are
- 59:27Speaker 4: you such a disgusting human being who's carrying on an
- 59:31Speaker 4: affair in your own home, right under your wife and
- 59:36Speaker 4: kids their noses? Why are you doing this and behind
- 59:39Speaker 4: your brother's back? All right, here's the question you should
- 59:43Speaker 4: be thinking about if your brother and your wife find out,
- 59:46Speaker 4: will they post your affair on Facebook like your sister
- 59:50Speaker 4: in law did. The sick part about this is you
- 59:54Speaker 4: feel not guilty or ashamed. You don't feel any of that.
- 59:58Speaker 4: The answer to those quest uestions is you don't feel
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: any of that because you're selfish.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: You don't care.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: You don't care.
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: You took advantage of your sister in law when she
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: was vulnerable. You said that in the letter, and none
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: of us have sympathy for you at all. If your
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: brother finds out, he's going to.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: Beat your behind.
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: He really is.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: Your brother is going to be more upset than your
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: wife because it's his wife. Your wife is going to
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: be mad, but your brother can hurt you. This is crazy.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Break this off. I know you're not going to, but
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: I should tell you that break it off.
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: It's gone too far.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: Don't wait for your sister in law to break it off,
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: because she probably won't, but you need to.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Steve hey man, let me ask you a question, what
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: the hell did you write us for?
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: Because I don't even get the purpose. He hates his wife,
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: but I don't see. Let me tell you y'all something
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: about this letter. This is not a man writing a
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: letter seeking guidance. This, to me is a man writing
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: a letter seeking admiration for him. He wants everybody to
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: see how he operate who he is because you, first
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: of all, don't you said nothing that was redeeming at all?
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: And like Shirley said, you have no remorse in this
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: letter nowhere. You ain't wrong on no stretch, no account.
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: What's wrong with you?
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Man?
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: You tell you a low dude. Man, I ain't gonna
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: lie to you. Forty four years old. Man, you're a
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: low dude.
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: You're married man since the law, living with y'all temporarily.
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: She and your brother, your brother, don't your brother? I
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: mean right, hey, man, listen to me. If you can
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: do this to your brother, you are completely incapable of
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: being a loyal friend. Listen to me, man, people like
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: this they can't be loyal friends. If you'll do your brother,
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: your brother, I know, good damn well you will do me.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: He has no cold.
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: He doesn't honor no man cold nowhere. Now she caught
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: your brother in bed with another woman. The apple don't
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: fall far from the tree. You and your brother just alike.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Now, she caught your brother in bed with another woman.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: They they doing it so good, they so into it.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: She'd have took pictures of him in the act if
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I it's no way you can photograph me and I
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: don't know it.
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: He told her he hates her in his comings. You
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: know why he hate her. That's a lot of nerve. Man,
- 1:02:49Speaker 7: see you and your brother similar people.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: He hate hum? Why for catching him in? They bed
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: in the act with another woman.
- 1:02:59Speaker 5: Mother thought, Steve, all that thought.
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: We'll come back with part two of Steve's response to
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: today's Strawberry letter. The subject is he hates his wife,
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: but I don't. We'll be back at twenty three minutes
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: after the hour.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Right after this.
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Globe Life Insurance can

- 1:03:44Speaker 4: one fifty four hundred or Globelifradio dot com. All right,
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: is he hates his wife, but I don't well.
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: Like I said, this man is not seeking any guidance
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: from us. He just wants so admiration. He wants to
- 1:04:01Speaker 7: brag about his work. He's a forty four year old
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: brother whose brother is having marrital problems, and his wife,
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: who is his sister in law, is staying with him.
- 1:04:13Speaker 13: Now.
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: They separated because she caught her his brother in bed
- 1:04:18Speaker 7: with another woman that happened to live next door.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: That's key information. She lived next door.
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: She took pictures of him in the act and posted
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: him on Facebook. He told her in the comments that
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: he hate her.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: What do he hated her?
- 1:04:31Speaker 9: Fault?
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: You got caught.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: She took the pictures. He was with the woman next
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: door in y'all's house.
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: What but the wife, the sister in law, was willing
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: to work it out, but the word hate kept coming back.
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: So then she had a bad phone call with him
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: one day about a month ago, and then this dude
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: that wrote the letter walked into forty four year old
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: She was crying. Naturally, I comforted her in her vulnerable
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: She told me that it felt good to be touched.
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: So I being the snake in the grass that I am, Yeah,
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: I continued to touch her to.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: Make her feel better.
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: It was innocent at first, knowing it was, but then
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: she started touching me back, and she touched me in
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: a certain place for a very long time.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: So it was only right. It was the only right
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: for me to return to fable.
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: Me being the snake in the grass that I am,
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: Me being the brother of a brother that got caught
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: with the next doe neighbor in bed with the next
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: do neighbor, I got to I got to return to faith.
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: I had the most passionate kiss that day, and it
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: led to us having a feeded affair in my house.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Y'all like to do a lot of stuff in y'all house.
- 1:05:58Speaker 7: You and your brother. Hey, y'all ain't never thought about
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: a room nowhere. Y'all do a lot of stuff. You're
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: about the next no neighbor. Your brother bought the next
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: no neighbor over to the house. Now you got his
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: wife in your house, and we had a heated affair
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: where I live with my wife and kids. Hold up, brother,
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: you got no respect for your brother, you have no
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: respect for your wife, and you have no respect for
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: your children. Then, right after that complete act of disrespect,
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: guess what he says, it's not even awkward. Dog, How
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: that ain't awkward because she and I have an understanding. Oh,
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: as long as y'all cool with it, it don't matter
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: who else ain't. My role is to help her move
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: past to hurt, and her role is to help me
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: release sexual tension I have in my marriage.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: What wow, wow, Dog, that's how you wrote that off.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I don't feel bad about it. Here we go again.
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: It's not awkward. Y'all have an understanding, and he don't
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: feel bad about it. How can you not feel bad
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: about betraying your brother?
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: Okay, Dog, I got you having the affair, I got that.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: But the betrayal of your brother with your brother's wife
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: in your house, Dog, you just low man. You are
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: the man codes you have no honor. Dog, I don't
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: even know why you roll us.
- 1:07:35Speaker 11: Man.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: I don't feel bad about it, and neither does she.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: That's why she at your house. In fact, I encourage
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: her to daily work things out with my brother, and
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: I talked to him about coming to get his wife
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: out of my house. What, I don't really want her
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: to go there. We go.
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: Right on back to you because it's convenient. But I'm
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: convinced that this fair will still going on even after
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: she's moved back home. Wow, I'm concerned that she's catching
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: feelings though I had an affair before.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you ain't. This ain't your first radio.
- 1:08:21Speaker 7: I knew that I had an affair before, and it
- 1:08:24Speaker 7: ended because the woman failed for me.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Can I trust that she is in this for the
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: same reasons as I am? Oh, you mean for the
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: same self centered, egotistical, self serving, narcissistic route that you're taking.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Yeah, she's in there for the same reason and she
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: stays there free. Yeah. So this is banging for rent.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: It's what this is called. Wow, banging for rent, banging
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: for groceries?
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Can I trust that she's in this for the same
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: reason as I am? What if this is some kind
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: of revenge? What do you do, poor brother?
- 1:09:08Speaker 11: What?
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: What what difference do it make if it's some kind
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: of revenge? What's your reason for doing it?
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: He's just not asking the right questions? No, he no, Schrey,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: it ain't no question. He don't feel awkward. You don't
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: see nothing wrong with it. There is no remorse, there's
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: no love for his brother, there's no honor in the
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: main cod there's total disrespect of his home. Man this dude,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: miss me, man dog. Now this has been to go.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: All bad for you, all bad for you. Please email
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: us back after everybody find out. All right?

- 1:11:55Speaker 10: In Lebron James and Bronnie James.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: That's all we need to do.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Money for that.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: I've already worked it.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Out how we're gonna pay Lebron and Bronni.

- 1:12:08Speaker 2: they get paid.
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: We can add that after you cut them, what are
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: they gonna do?
- 1:12:12Speaker 12: I don't care if they're gonna work somewhere else they
- 1:12:14Speaker 12: gonna be. I don't care what team you pay for.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: We need. We need Lebron James, Lebron and this is
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: all we need. Now.
- 1:12:19Speaker 12: Let let me tell you something. Me and Thomas Miund,
- 1:12:21Speaker 12: Me and Nickckey, tom we canna play for the Rockets.
- 1:12:23Speaker 12: We get average to two points and two point five,
- 1:12:26Speaker 12: Me and nephew Tommy can do that. I worked this out.
- 1:12:32Speaker 12: I'll tell you right now. I'll tell you right now.
- 1:12:36Speaker 12: If give Tommy eight shots one, I'm going in.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna get one.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, give me eight shots. I'm gonna make one.
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: Because that seems all they do.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: So the Rockets can't afford to play.
- 1:12:51Speaker 11: Kevin's paid, Kevin Durant and Lebron and no, Kevin got
- 1:12:55Speaker 11: to go telling Kevin Durant gotta go to We're not gonna.
- 1:12:59Speaker 13: There to get rid of anybody. You probably gotta get
- 1:13:01Speaker 13: rid of the coach too. We gotta get rid of
- 1:13:03Speaker 13: everybody to get Lebron coach.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: We can't get rid of the coach.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Na Long's ex that's the Have y'all listened.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: To what I just said.
- 1:13:10Speaker 12: Listen, I'll tell you who we need to get rid of,
- 1:13:12Speaker 12: Isaiah Crawford and JD.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Davids.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: Why are you going behind my back?
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Jun Well, I don't even know these guys.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Exactly, Charley, you know what I mean it like that.
- 1:13:28Speaker 5: I'm gonna tell you who we do know.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: You know, Kevin Durant.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: We can't get rid of that one. No, can't do that.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: But have you ever heard of IVAA Crawford?
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: No, you're asking that.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: Have you heard of JD. Davison?
- 1:13:41Speaker 9: No?
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Did we get it. You and Tommy can average two
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: points a game.
- 1:13:46Speaker 5: We can do that, all right, Junior.
- 1:13:49Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: Coming up in the hour, a wife.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Wants to know if she's making the right decision to
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: stay married.
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: She needs advice. We'll get into that right after.
- 1:14:02Speaker 13: You got it.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:10Speaker 5: This is from Kiwanda and Danbury.
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: After our third child was born, I found out that
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: my husband had an outside child with a woman he's
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: been having an affair with. I've welcomed the child into
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: the family, but my children don't want anything to do
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: with their father or the outside child. The last two
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: years have been tense at home because my oldest who's fourteen,
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: thinks I should leave her dad for cheating on me.
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: My ten year old daughter agrees with the oldest, am
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: I setting a bad example for excusing my husband's infidelity.
- 1:14:44Speaker 5: Should my children have a say in what I choose
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: to do?
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Interesting? Interesting, Well, that's a tough one.
- 1:14:51Speaker 7: Now the kids feel the way they feel, they're beingted.
- 1:14:57Speaker 7: They're being protective of their mother, who they, in their eyes,
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: has been violated. Now, anybody else looking at this situation
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: agrees with the children, except people who are grown who
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: have lives and have gone through some things.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: If you've forgiven your husband and it's that's a tough one.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: I don't because hey, can I just say, I don't know,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: look at your being honor.
- 1:15:32Speaker 9: True?
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: Yeah, but she is in.
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: Because you do want to set good examples as a
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: mom for your children, especially daughters. You know, you don't
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: want your daughter think that you just let your husband
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: walk all over you and you keep them in. It's okay,
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: you don't want.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: That, you know, but there is also a lesson in
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: forgiveness and understanding. Mm hmmm.
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: See, but the children may not know it is what
- 1:16:03Speaker 7: caused the husband to cheat, if there was a cause
- 1:16:07Speaker 7: outside of the other one, which is we just won't
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: to go do so, which is the normal reason why.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: It's usually a man's cheating usually has nothing to do
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: with the woman. A woman usually has no real cause
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: and effect for cheating. Actually, to be honest with you,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: it is not really the woman. So you can't come down.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: But where you said this, and so then you wouldn't
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: got somebody else or you did this? No no, no dog,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: no no no no.
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: You was looking for an excuse to give or a
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: reason to have for your decision to cheat.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: That that's usually what it is. Now.
- 1:16:48Speaker 7: We can be masterful at times as men and convince
- 1:16:51Speaker 7: a woman that you forced me into this action.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: But that's one hundred percent not true. Anybody made you
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: do nothing but you.
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: Facts, And these young young daughters are just ten and fourteen,
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: you know, very impressionable ages.
- 1:17:13Speaker 5: And she's asking should they have a say and what
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: she chooses to do?
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: Well, no, because they don't have enough Yeah, they don't
- 1:17:25Speaker 7: have enough bandwidth to make decisions for you unless you
- 1:17:29Speaker 7: give them that.
- 1:17:31Speaker 9: You know.
- 1:17:33Speaker 7: I just don't think that children have enough life experience
- 1:17:37Speaker 7: to tell me as an adult what to do. I
- 1:17:39Speaker 7: got how you feel, Yeah, I got how this is
- 1:17:41Speaker 7: making you feel feel. But you I'm not fit to
- 1:17:46Speaker 7: base all my decisions just on how you.
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: Feel, right, But she does need to talk to them. Yeah, okay,
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: all right, moving on, we do if we have enough time.
- 1:18:01Speaker 4: Now we don't have.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: That's catching it though, because the other baby ain't done nothing.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: But the other babies they've done nothing.
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: Yeah, they don't even want to have it and play
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: with him.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Yeah, let's send him in here, but I'll tell you
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: what game gonna be rough though, he gonna love.
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: The young girl.
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: Yeah, probably have outside influences telling them, you know, what
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: to do and their girls. Yeah, that's what I'm saying,
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: their daughters. Yeah, you don't want to. That's a hard
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: example to set for your daughters.
- 1:18:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: He need to be working on getting his daughters back
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: then he got to Yeah.
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: All right, all right, guys, thank you.
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: Coming up at twenty minutes after, we'll have more of
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: You already know what it is, Maasine mat Chego bean
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: and you are now listening to the Steve Hobby Morning Show.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey.
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: Morning showright listened to this story, guys.
- 1:19:01Speaker 5: A twenty nine year old man from.
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: Maryland was arrested after he called nine to one one
- 1:19:08Speaker 4: to report his SUV stolen, only for police to discover
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: he was in the middle of burglarizing a Horizon wireless
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: store when his car was stolen.
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: This is a lot of nerves, I know.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: He allegedly broke into an Horizon store in Baltimore, distilled
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: some speakers, and he left his car running. He had
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: a Chevrolet Equinox. He left that running outside, so someone
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: stole his car. But all he did was call the
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: police to tell him that his truck was stolen, not
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: anything about you know, the fact that he was burglarizing.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Yeah, he's got to be keen to the people that
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: broke into the prios and mem.
- 1:19:46Speaker 5: He got, oh yeah, he got uh huh.
- 1:19:50Speaker 4: So during the arrest, the officer just said to the suspect,
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: that's some some kind.
- 1:19:55Speaker 5: Of karma right there, ain't it. The man was charged.
- 1:20:00Speaker 7: Huh, brother, listen to me when you call the police, Yeah,
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: you're gonna have to tell them where your car was
- 1:20:07Speaker 7: stolen from.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: Yes, Now what is your doing outside? This stole?
- 1:20:12Speaker 7: Yeah, this late at night with the car running, Yeah,
- 1:20:17Speaker 7: with the keys in it, right, you ain't see that.
- 1:20:20Speaker 7: But you know, jails in prison has a lot of
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: people in it like that. That's a lot of innocent
- 1:20:26Speaker 7: people sitting behind that wall.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: Absolutely, but it's some people that show up.

- 1:26:44Speaker 3: Man?
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about the old U.
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: If he resurfaced or she resurfaced today and dropped them
- 1:26:55Speaker 7: in the exact set of circumstances that you are in
- 1:26:58Speaker 7: now and let them take over, you would lose everything.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Yeah, all of it. You would lose everything.
- 1:27:09Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:27:09Speaker 7: Man, that's the thing about growth. Man, it's painful, but
- 1:27:12Speaker 7: it's necessary. It is because you know what.
- 1:27:16Speaker 3: The old me.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: That my my past, my entire past need to stay
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: right where it's at. It don't need to make no
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: comebacks if it don't need to resurface. I don't even
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: really need these constant reminders. I be getting of it.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: I really don't, right man, Because Man, I was sitting
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: up with a group of friends recently. Man, we always
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: get together. Man, it was so funny, man, A couple
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: of boys drove down from Cleveland and surprised me at
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: the at the minoring camp. Now they not they didn't
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: come down to help mentor lord. No, but these are
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: my friends, my other friends. Let me tell you what, man.
- 1:28:00Speaker 7: They drove you know a famous corn beef sandwich in
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: Cleveland's called Slimon's corn Beef Sandwich. He bought me a
- 1:28:08Speaker 7: corn beef sandwich from Slimon's mm hmmm.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: Mm hmm and drove it down though, uh huh, to
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: my rawch. The fact that you would bring a sandwich
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: of any camp.
- 1:28:29Speaker 5: He thought it was a nice gesture.
- 1:28:30Speaker 17: I'm sure, man, I know how much you love sliming. Yeah,
- 1:28:35Speaker 17: but when when they make it, and then it.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: Was just a half he ate the other half on
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: the way.
- 1:28:47Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:28:51Speaker 7: And we were sitting on the porch of the lodge,
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: you know, in these rocking chairs. Man, I got these
- 1:28:56Speaker 7: big rotching, rocking rocking chairs at at the lodge at
- 1:28:59Speaker 7: the camp, and we were sitting there, man and man,
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: we had a whole remember that time moment, and my sons.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: Was there.
- 1:29:10Speaker 7: And because you know, they come for the camp. And
- 1:29:14Speaker 7: then they was talking about hey man, hey, hey dog,
- 1:29:17Speaker 7: remember that time, remember that time. And I was looking
- 1:29:19Speaker 7: at him like, hey man, pull up a little bit.
- 1:29:22Speaker 7: So then one of them looked over said, y'all don't
- 1:29:25Speaker 7: know this part of your daddy's.
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: Life, do you.
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: I said no, I didn't tell him that. And my
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: sons was looking at me, well, Dad, we don'et pretty
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: much guessed it because you have a lot of residue
- 1:29:36Speaker 7: behavior that comes out of you know, it came from somewhere.
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: I love that.
- 1:29:42Speaker 7: And my son, you know, you know, remember my oldest
- 1:29:45Speaker 7: boy is thirty five, and you know, and wow is it. Yeah,
- 1:29:51Speaker 7: my oldest boy is thirty five, went to will be
- 1:29:53Speaker 7: thirty next year when it's twenty nine. And for them
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: to have conversations about me. Now, you know, we was
