- 0:09Speaker 1: had all sung looking back to back down, giving them more,
- 0:14Speaker 1: just like themazing buck bus things. And it's toubles y'all
- 0:19Speaker 1: to be true. Good to te Steve how gay listening
- 0:24Speaker 1: to me together for still farther quicken moy w don't
- 0:38Speaker 1: you join? Yeah? Yeah? By joint Ben said, you gotta
- 1:01Speaker 1: turning a go, Yeah, you gotta turn you to turn
- 1:42Speaker 1: turn Lovey got the turn out to turn the wanter go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your back at it. Uh A good
- 2:04Speaker 1: morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, one and only. Steve Harley got a radio
- 2:12Speaker 1: show yesterday. I started up talking about my personal journey,
- 2:18Speaker 1: and I want to remind you that I'm not saying
- 2:22Speaker 1: this to say hey, look at me. Um. I think
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'm more saying it to say, hey, here's what happened
- 2:29Speaker 1: to me along the way of making decisions my way,
- 2:35Speaker 1: and then what happened when I made a transformation. It's
- 2:38Speaker 1: not so much that I made a transformation as it
- 2:42Speaker 1: was that I made a decision to start just you know,
- 2:47Speaker 1: being being a little bit closer to my creative and
- 2:49Speaker 1: having some conversations with him. And that's how it starts.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It starts with some conversations with God. It's it starts
- 2:56Speaker 1: with with opening up to your creator and saying, hey, listen,
- 3:00Speaker 1: my bad, I'm tripping. I've been doing it this way
- 3:04Speaker 1: for so long, and it ain't really really got me
- 3:07Speaker 1: to where I want to be. I mean, I know,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I I know to some people on the outside, I
- 3:11Speaker 1: appeared to be successful, But I got news for you, man, Um,
- 3:20Speaker 1: success ain't nothing man, when you ain't happy, and and
- 3:23Speaker 1: the appearances of success is can be quite uh delusional
- 3:29Speaker 1: at best. You know. Prince has a song out there
- 3:32Speaker 1: says I realized, in this best disguise, a pretty house
- 3:36Speaker 1: don't make a home. That's one of my favorite lines
- 3:39Speaker 1: in one of his songs, says I realized, in its
- 3:42Speaker 1: best disguise, at a pretty house, don't make a home.
- 3:46Speaker 1: And uh, you know, I may have had the appearances
- 3:49Speaker 1: of a pretty house, but what no home? Man? It
- 3:52Speaker 1: ain't It ain't where you wanted to live. And it
- 3:55Speaker 1: wasn't where you wanted to pull up to and reside.
- 3:57Speaker 1: It really wasn't. It was it was some mess three soul.
- 4:00Speaker 1: The transformation started y'all when I made a decision, and
- 4:04Speaker 1: I was saying to people who have been fans of mine,
- 4:07Speaker 1: has followed my career of kept up with me or
- 4:10Speaker 1: whether you knew, two thousand five began a very life
- 4:14Speaker 1: changing time for me. It started a little bit before that,
- 4:20Speaker 1: but I was still in in in some some misery.
- 4:23Speaker 1: But in two thousand five my life began to make
- 4:27Speaker 1: a drastic change. And that change occurred, like I've been saying,
- 4:32Speaker 1: when I made a conscious decision to start having more
- 4:35Speaker 1: conversations with God. And I'm just trying to share with
- 4:38Speaker 1: everybody how basic and simple that was for me, that
- 4:42Speaker 1: to talk to God a little bit more, to admit
- 4:46Speaker 1: that I've wronged, that I made a couple of bad plays,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and I was asking for forgiveness, and forgiveness wasn't a
- 4:52Speaker 1: big a big part of it for me because in
- 4:56Speaker 1: asking God for forgiveness of my transgressions and my missteps
- 5:00Speaker 1: and my sins and flaws and all of that, and
- 5:03Speaker 1: asking him for forgiveness, it freed me up from the
- 5:08Speaker 1: guilt of like, Okay, so now got well, you know,
- 5:13Speaker 1: I mean what people are gonna say now, you know, man,
- 5:15Speaker 1: if you start talking to God a little bit more.
- 5:18Speaker 1: How you how your close friends gonna feel well? I've
- 5:22Speaker 1: I found out a lot of people wasn't close friends,
- 5:25Speaker 1: and that I found out that a lot of people
- 5:29Speaker 1: was around me just for the ride. I still got
- 5:33Speaker 1: a few hanging on to me just like that. But
- 5:35Speaker 1: you know, it is what it is, you know, um.
- 5:38Speaker 1: But I found out a lot of things, mostly about myself,
- 5:45Speaker 1: that I needed these conversations with God, that I needed
- 5:49Speaker 1: this relationship with him because it was calming me on
- 5:52Speaker 1: the inside. It was starting to make the house feel
- 5:56Speaker 1: like a home. It was starting to give me a
- 6:00Speaker 1: peace of mind. And when you have peace of mind,
- 6:03Speaker 1: what it allows, What that does is it opens up
- 6:06Speaker 1: your creativity. It open up your channel to be creative.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And when your person, as myself, that's a creative person.
- 6:13Speaker 1: That that's that's that's everything. But it's no different than
- 6:17Speaker 1: of a person works well with his hands. When you
- 6:20Speaker 1: get free and peace of mind, you can work do
- 6:23Speaker 1: even better work with your hands. If you counsel better,
- 6:26Speaker 1: you become a better counsel. If you're better teacher, you
- 6:28Speaker 1: become a better teacher. If you if if you're better
- 6:31Speaker 1: uh e E M E M T person, If you're
- 6:35Speaker 1: a better tech person. You become a better a better driver,
- 6:39Speaker 1: you become a just a better person. When your mind
- 6:41Speaker 1: is free. When your mind is occupied with toxic poisons,
- 6:45Speaker 1: it stops you from being the best that you can
- 6:48Speaker 1: be at whatever you're trying to be good at. It
- 6:50Speaker 1: really really does you think about it. You can't be
- 6:52Speaker 1: the best artist if your mind is twisted up. You
- 6:54Speaker 1: can't be the best performer. If your mind is twisted up.
- 6:57Speaker 1: You can't be the best ball player if your mind
- 7:00Speaker 1: that's twisted up. When you free your mind, when you
- 7:02Speaker 1: allow your mind to find out what peace really is,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and that's the relationship with God, it gives you peace
- 7:08Speaker 1: of mind. I told you the other yesterday, I was
- 7:10Speaker 1: talking to this guy in the Jim that told me
- 7:12Speaker 1: he was a stone cold hustler. Now we all know
- 7:15Speaker 1: what that means. So I'm listening to the guy who's
- 7:17Speaker 1: just real, honest with me, said Mr Harvey. Seemed like
- 7:20Speaker 1: a man with some knowledge under your belt. Man, I
- 7:23Speaker 1: just don't have no peace. Well, bro, come on, man,
- 7:27Speaker 1: you're involved in the business that don't provide peace. You're
- 7:31Speaker 1: in the destruction business of people. You may be making
- 7:34Speaker 1: some money, but it's act the expense of other people. Now,
- 7:37Speaker 1: what you want to happen to you? You reap what
- 7:39Speaker 1: you sold, you know, doing to others that you would
- 7:42Speaker 1: have them do under you. If you ain't bringing no
- 7:44Speaker 1: good to nobody's life, but you're making some money, well
- 7:46Speaker 1: how how much good do you think that money gonna
- 7:48Speaker 1: bring to your life? You know, man, it's it's gonna
- 7:50Speaker 1: happen for you if you don't get out the game.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You know, man, it's it's it's gonna go down bad
- 7:54Speaker 1: for you. I can't fix that story up for nobody,
- 7:57Speaker 1: because it's a it's a story that's told too many times,
- 7:59Speaker 1: and and and it has the same end results. But
- 8:02Speaker 1: I told him, the only way you're gonna get a
- 8:05Speaker 1: peace of mind, bro, is you gotta have relationship with God.
- 8:09Speaker 1: That's all. That's all. Now, here's what happened after I
- 8:14Speaker 1: started having this conversation with God. If you followed what
- 8:17Speaker 1: was happening to me closely after two from two thousand
- 8:20Speaker 1: five two, now, it's almost unexplainable. And that's why I
- 8:25Speaker 1: know it's God, because usually when something happens in my
- 8:28Speaker 1: life of the positive nature that goes so well for me,
- 8:33Speaker 1: and and I cannot explain it. That's God, because I
- 8:37Speaker 1: can't even take credit for this, I really really can't.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Once again, listen to me closely. I'm not bragging now.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I'm just telling you what happened to me. That the
- 8:45Speaker 1: same thing He's done for me, he can do for you.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Are the things he's done for others he will surely
- 8:51Speaker 1: do for you. See when I see people as balling,
- 8:54Speaker 1: that that's doing well. And when I say balling, I
- 8:57Speaker 1: mean achieving their goals and accomplishing things on a rather
- 9:01Speaker 1: large scale. I don't become a hater. I become a Wow. Okay,
- 9:05Speaker 1: so that's that's possible to see. I look at people's
- 9:09Speaker 1: who who are doing well, not for hate or I
- 9:12Speaker 1: wish that was me. It just shows me the possibilities
- 9:15Speaker 1: the power of God. You know, God can do this
- 9:18Speaker 1: for somebody else. Man, maybe if I do this, I
- 9:20Speaker 1: gotta now. I'm not complaining why I'm at not one
- 9:23Speaker 1: bit or at all. And if he don't give me
- 9:25Speaker 1: no more, please understand. I can make it like this.
- 9:29Speaker 1: But I know it's more. I know it's more because
- 9:32Speaker 1: God don't bring you this far to leave you. God
- 9:35Speaker 1: didn't bring me this far this leave you he won't
- 9:37Speaker 1: bring you that. He hasn't gotten you to this point
- 9:40Speaker 1: to leave you. He has more for you. See this
- 9:43Speaker 1: ain't about me. This is so you can see what's
- 9:45Speaker 1: in it for you. God has more for you if
- 9:48Speaker 1: you open yourself to him. But if you don't open
- 9:51Speaker 1: yourself up to him, how you're gonna find out what
- 9:53Speaker 1: that is? And if you're waking up every day, like
- 9:56Speaker 1: I've said a hundred times, with the notion in your mind,
- 9:58Speaker 1: that has got to be more to life than this,
- 10:00Speaker 1: that's because it is so. Now I'm asking you, why
- 10:04Speaker 1: would you not take the next next step to see
- 10:06Speaker 1: what that is? Why would you not get closer to God?
- 10:09Speaker 1: Why would you not have a relationship with your creator?
- 10:12Speaker 1: How's that working for you? Not having the relationship? If
- 10:15Speaker 1: life is the way you want it, then cool, knock
- 10:18Speaker 1: yourself out. You're doing it ball out? Do you? There
- 10:22Speaker 1: ain't no problem. But if you got some emptiness, man,
- 10:26Speaker 1: if your pretty house don't feel like a home, if
- 10:29Speaker 1: you got some emptiness on the inside, if you don't
- 10:32Speaker 1: find a piece of joy, peace of mind, joy in
- 10:34Speaker 1: your heart, then I got news for you. Man. You
- 10:37Speaker 1: got to change. But that change only happens if you
- 10:40Speaker 1: make the decision. You got to decide. See God, God
- 10:44Speaker 1: could force us all to do a bunch of stuff,
- 10:46Speaker 1: but he gives us all the power with choice to
- 10:48Speaker 1: done it. You know, you can come to me. You
- 10:51Speaker 1: can come as you are, a matter of fact, when
- 10:52Speaker 1: he says come to me, all he's saying is you
- 10:54Speaker 1: can come as you are. He don't tell you you
- 10:56Speaker 1: gotta even fix yourself up because he knows, he knows
- 10:59Speaker 1: what you up against. You know you can't. You know
- 11:02Speaker 1: you can't stop doing drugs. If you could, you'd have
- 11:05Speaker 1: been to stop. I know a lot of people, man
- 11:08Speaker 1: that was hooked on all types of different things, and
- 11:11Speaker 1: all of them are said, Man, I wish I could stop,
- 11:14Speaker 1: but it just it won't let me go or just
- 11:16Speaker 1: But I know some people man went to God and
- 11:18Speaker 1: got it cleaned up. I'm just saying, man, God change
- 11:22Speaker 1: your life. Man, God move you in places. Man, you
- 11:24Speaker 1: never knew you could be moved God cold. What you're
- 11:27Speaker 1: waiting on sitting that tripping is your career, is your life.
- 11:31Speaker 1: You're just gonna blame to the left. I mean, man,
- 11:36Speaker 1: if someone I don't know, Man, I don't know. Man, Man,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I ain't like I did as soon as I heard
- 11:42Speaker 1: it either, So I feel you out there. But man,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and if somebody came to me and showed me a
- 11:46Speaker 1: way I could turn my life around, and it wasn't
- 11:49Speaker 1: going away I wanted. I take it. That took me
- 11:51Speaker 1: a long time to hear the message too, So maybe
- 11:53Speaker 1: it's taking you a long time to hear it that
- 11:55Speaker 1: I feel you. I'm the same with you. But man,
- 11:57Speaker 1: when I figured that out, this show got better for me. Man,
- 12:00Speaker 1: and I am who I am because of God Almighty.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I have no other explanation for you. If it was
- 12:04Speaker 1: I wish I could take credit for it. Man. You
- 12:06Speaker 1: know the book I would write if I could take
- 12:08Speaker 1: credit for myself. Man, that's probably why you don't reach
- 12:12Speaker 1: you all the way back then, when you're trying to
- 12:14Speaker 1: pat yourself on the back because you ain't supposed to
- 12:16Speaker 1: you ever thought about that? All right, have a cool
- 12:20Speaker 1: you're listening to show whoa He're Fridy I today. I
- 12:40Speaker 1: don't know why I'm saying I'm working all weekend for
- 12:47Speaker 1: this show right here though Atlanta, doing family Feud all weekend. Wow?
- 12:54Speaker 1: Uh yeah, all weekend for I just said it is
- 12:58Speaker 1: Sunday and then turn I'll be right here Monday, m
- 13:03Speaker 1: m m. Shots fired by example. I ain't done that
- 13:09Speaker 1: in a long time, A long time, A long time
- 13:19Speaker 1: that I didn't had a gig and didn't make it
- 13:21Speaker 1: on money a long time. About six months. It seems
- 13:26Speaker 1: like it. Okay, all right, he admit, but he had
- 13:30Speaker 1: to leave. But he might get it on money, but
- 13:32Speaker 1: he had to leave at eight. He'll be sick. That's
- 13:44Speaker 1: all right. You were hard riding, so happy. You know what, Steve,
- 13:53Speaker 1: last time this year, you were engaged in doing your
- 13:58Speaker 1: your your fundraising for your mentoring program. You know, was
- 14:02Speaker 1: on the bike. Yeah, it was this time last year.
- 14:05Speaker 1: It was this time last year. Yeah, it was ignorant
- 14:09Speaker 1: because you didn't run it by anyone. You just did it.
- 14:13Speaker 1: And once you say it, you have to do it. Yeah.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Quit my father, Yeah yeah, my father would never allow
- 14:21Speaker 1: me to do that. If you say you're gonna do it,
- 14:24Speaker 1: you have to do it. Yeah. I remember my mom
- 14:26Speaker 1: used to say that all the time with he says
- 14:28Speaker 1: he's gonna do it, He's gonna do it. Now, I
- 14:31Speaker 1: wouldn't do God right on that bike, man, about the
- 14:33Speaker 1: fourth day year, I said, Man, is stud you wrote
- 14:38Speaker 1: that for four hours every day. Seriously. Yeah, great for
- 14:44Speaker 1: your endurance though. I mean the only time whose phone
- 14:48Speaker 1: was when I came to Atlanta? Oh yeah, indeed it
- 14:51Speaker 1: because I hadn't coming. Oh yeah, we were encouraging you. Yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 1: you remember that time Junior got on his ass off. Man,
- 15:05Speaker 1: I had keys in my pocket. Time sale phoonk Junior's
- 15:12Speaker 1: you was running and I lost a lot of confidence.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Was running in air falce ones, Yeah, which is not
- 15:21Speaker 1: made for running at all. No, there wasn't that. Just
- 15:25Speaker 1: go with big jeans and a white T shirt. That's y'alls. Yeah,
- 15:33Speaker 1: that's that's your generation idea. We clean. But while he talking, uncle,
- 15:37Speaker 1: did he ever get up there with you any day?
- 15:39Speaker 1: For how but how many hours? Though? I did a
- 15:45Speaker 1: couple of hours a couple out See, I did every
- 15:47Speaker 1: day for hours time. See every day we started, we
- 15:50Speaker 1: started together. Just I don't say it though, you know,
- 15:57Speaker 1: half free. I know that's a that's a name, a
- 16:04Speaker 1: nickname that really has stuck. A lot of them come
- 16:08Speaker 1: and go, A lot of them come and go, but
- 16:11Speaker 1: that one's been around for quite a while now. Everyverydge
- 16:14Speaker 1: is pretty good. And then Junior is a all, yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 1: what's a a ain't rich. I thought it was almost.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I was thinking almost rich. Ain't rich. But stay on
- 16:31Speaker 1: this path, right, Junie, Listen to listen to man. I
- 16:37Speaker 1: really need a great idea for a fundraiser this year
- 16:40Speaker 1: for the foundation, because what I want to do now
- 16:43Speaker 1: is I want to bring I was able to with
- 16:47Speaker 1: the money, I bought two hundred fifty boys to the
- 16:50Speaker 1: camp instead of a hundred. I want to bring five
- 16:53Speaker 1: hundred boys to the camp. I will bring five hundred
- 16:59Speaker 1: dudes down there. It would help so many young cats. Man.
- 17:02Speaker 1: You'll tell us about it. I mean, because a lot
- 17:04Speaker 1: of people don't even know about your mentoring camp. What
- 17:06Speaker 1: it does? You know? Look it up? What I need?
- 17:14Speaker 1: What I mean, I'm mentor you, but I'm gonna cus
- 17:22Speaker 1: you while i'm doing it. Yeah, we just this is
- 17:25Speaker 1: not the Christian ministry. But you help young men. You
- 17:28Speaker 1: you want young men to teach them how to be
- 17:32Speaker 1: men and how to treat women, and how to keep
- 17:35Speaker 1: their words and just principles of manhood. Things like that.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I'm leaving up some important information. Hold on, let me
- 17:42Speaker 1: text somebody to make sure. We need a little Tommy story.
- 17:48Speaker 1: That's yeah, hold on, where the music at? He's supposed
- 17:55Speaker 1: to be texting somebody. He heard that. You know, I
- 17:58Speaker 1: could do modeing one thing. Who it was. He's here
- 18:01Speaker 1: for it. He is here for it. So you're accepting
- 18:03Speaker 1: applications now, Steve for the mentor alright? That what it is?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Why not? Hi, boys and girls, how are you going? Hey?
- 18:17Speaker 1: Hey Louid Junior, Hey Uncle Steve, Hey Carlin, Shirley Junor
- 18:24Speaker 1: just use your real voice, you know, very quick. Let's
- 18:35Speaker 1: just talk about we're all famous. Little Tommy Stuart, Yeah,
- 18:42Speaker 1: little Tommy stories. Yeah, when Tommy was a boy, and
- 18:47Speaker 1: I don't have to say little any obviously, Yes, Well,
- 18:55Speaker 1: when Tommy was younger, this is how we came with
- 19:00Speaker 1: the world famous words. You know, Tommy. Remember as you
- 19:06Speaker 1: grow up, sometimes your parents would mark your head against
- 19:10Speaker 1: the wall to show you how much you've grown. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 1: And we kept marking little Tommy and market little Tommy,
- 19:20Speaker 1: and it just wasn't moving. His mark was just getting
- 19:26Speaker 1: thicker and darker and wid Yeah. So he was midway
- 19:35Speaker 1: up the wall. And then we had something on the
- 19:39Speaker 1: table that he had to get and Tommy used to
- 19:43Speaker 1: jump all the time trying to get it, and he
- 19:46Speaker 1: never could get it. So he was midway up the wall,
- 19:50Speaker 1: and he never could get it, and thus became the
- 19:53Speaker 1: famous words. We began to call Tommy a midget. Ain't
- 20:00Speaker 1: a little person? Right? Oh? Migi where he can't get
- 20:08Speaker 1: a damn thing? So my uncle Rape was called him
- 20:12Speaker 1: midgi migi no body, but he's a grown man now,
- 20:21Speaker 1: Uncle Steve. But look at him, though, you gotta say
- 20:26Speaker 1: little person or dwarf Tommy, I'm looking at a midgi.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You're listening, Steve Hardy. Welcome to the ride, y'all when
- 20:36Speaker 1: we come back? What we do when y'all something funny?
- 20:38Speaker 1: What's happening? Yeah? I think right and wrong from nephew
- 20:42Speaker 1: and junior. Yeah, you'd be the judge, Steve? All right?
- 20:46Speaker 1: Oh lord, you know Tommy one last time I just
- 20:50Speaker 1: went with it. Yeah. And what was it about last time? Anybody?
- 20:55Speaker 1: The number two pencil thing? Number? Oh he's merci multiple
- 21:03Speaker 1: personality if he was personality andide suicide? Oh yeah, aren't
- 21:11Speaker 1: they hostages? Yeah? And you went so we'll be where
- 21:15Speaker 1: with that stick? Yeah, you can't beat them. Join come on,
- 21:29Speaker 1: all right, we're back fellas. What y'all got, all right?
- 21:33Speaker 1: So tell me what you think though, you know how
- 21:36Speaker 1: they now have socks that say got an ale on
- 21:40Speaker 1: it for the left foot and R on it for
- 21:43Speaker 1: the right foot. You've seen these socks, right, Okay? Now,
- 21:48Speaker 1: I don't know why Junior don't understand this. Tell him
- 21:51Speaker 1: if you put them socks on the wrong feet, you're
- 21:55Speaker 1: gonna either be pigeon told or slew footing? Am I right?
- 21:59Speaker 1: A wrong? Because you're not supposed to If you switch
- 22:02Speaker 1: them up, that's gonna mess up your feet. I don't
- 22:04Speaker 1: know why. You know what I'm saying, And he don't understand.
- 22:07Speaker 1: It's a reason why the L is on there and
- 22:09Speaker 1: the all I don't understand. You're just being an idiot.
- 22:13Speaker 1: You just it's just an L and are on there,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and you put them on the wrong you're gonna mess
- 22:18Speaker 1: up your feet. Boy, you're gonna either be pigeon told
- 22:21Speaker 1: or they're gonna be going out with you know, slop
- 22:23Speaker 1: foot it, whatever they call it. You're gonna miss your
- 22:26Speaker 1: feet up if you put them socks on the wrong feet.
- 22:28Speaker 1: And that's why they put the dog on letters on there.
- 22:30Speaker 1: But he don't get that now, Am I right or wrong? Steve?
- 22:36Speaker 1: Come on, Steve went with them last time. That's hard
- 22:43Speaker 1: you think ln R me. What is ellen r me?
- 22:47Speaker 1: But Tommy left and right? But Tommy, can I throw
- 22:50Speaker 1: this at you? Though? Go ahead? If you put the
- 22:54Speaker 1: all sock on the left foot and you put the
- 22:58Speaker 1: ale sock on the right for it, and you're standing
- 23:01Speaker 1: there talking to somebody with just your socks on, yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 1: you will be right. What what if you put the
- 23:18Speaker 1: sock with the R on it on your left foot
- 23:22Speaker 1: and you put the sock with the ale on it
- 23:24Speaker 1: on your right foot? Yeah, and you just got your
- 23:28Speaker 1: socks on when you're standing there talking to somebody and
- 23:32Speaker 1: they look down you right, okay from their perspective. See
- 23:42Speaker 1: what I'm doing now is I'm trying to match. It's stupid. Yeah,
- 23:49Speaker 1: but see you're having an out of sock experience. That's
- 23:51Speaker 1: not what out of sock experience. I tell you, it's
- 24:01Speaker 1: not even worth it. I can't even eat after talking
- 24:04Speaker 1: to him because you're wrong. You put with it putting
- 24:06Speaker 1: them letters on the wrong feet. If I put the
- 24:10Speaker 1: right sock on my left foot and the left sock
- 24:13Speaker 1: on my right foot, why I can't be wearing Ralph
- 24:16Speaker 1: lauren socks? Nan, what comes first about Ralph Lauren? Don't
- 24:23Speaker 1: make rights and left they don't do that. People that
- 24:26Speaker 1: make the right and left or they do it. The
- 24:29Speaker 1: socks is purple and gold. H h yeah, oh you've
- 24:37Speaker 1: lost this. You got omega right and left side. No,

- 28:24Speaker 1: up that Jesus yell hey man, you you should feel
- 28:29Speaker 1: honor man that your wife was looking at my wife
- 28:32Speaker 1: like that. Man, we're coming in there and were trying
- 28:35Speaker 1: to get hip and we're trying to do it. Y'all
- 28:36Speaker 1: looking at my wife time y'all want my wife to
- 28:38Speaker 1: be in the swim to contest? Man, do you understand

- 29:14Speaker 1: see what I'm saying. The reason ain't no other church
- 29:17Speaker 1: gunning is because this is wrong? Man. What committee got
- 29:21Speaker 1: to get on something like this? Man? What is wrong
- 29:23Speaker 1: with you? Hey, dog, you gotta understand. Listen. We got

- 29:40Speaker 1: is wrong with you? Man? Hey man, listen, just to
- 29:43Speaker 1: help us get started. Do you have a picture or

- 29:54Speaker 1: you know what are you at the church? Did you
- 29:56Speaker 1: work at the church? Full a turn part time? I'm

- 30:09Speaker 1: What I want you to do is for me before
- 30:11Speaker 1: you go to rehearsal, can you just be right in
- 30:13Speaker 1: the front right quick. I just want to we need
- 30:15Speaker 1: to meet personally right quick, less to me and you.
- 30:17Speaker 1: So I'm gonna come to the rehearsal and then let's

- 31:40Speaker 1: Hey man, your brother Jason told me to pray phone
- 31:43Speaker 1: call you man, God man, you know you know what
- 31:47Speaker 1: you said? Tell him, I said, if that food came
- 31:49Speaker 1: to church more often, he would know that this is
- 31:52Speaker 1: a pray punk. Oh dad, I'm glad it is, man,
- 31:56Speaker 1: because you just imagine if I had to draw up
- 31:58Speaker 1: to that church at the food. Man. Yeah, I gotta
- 32:02Speaker 1: I gotta ask you this here. Man, what is the
- 32:04Speaker 1: baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in the land, man,
- 32:09Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Man, you're listening to the
- 32:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show the light of what's going on today?
- 32:20Speaker 1: So do we have miss Anne available bring us up
- 32:24Speaker 1: to day? What are the facts? Miss saying? Okay, thank
- 32:27Speaker 1: you Steve. Good morning everybody out there. This is a
- 32:30Speaker 1: trip with the news, starting out with the most important
- 32:32Speaker 1: news of the day. If you're just waking up, you
- 32:35Speaker 1: need to know that President Trump ordered an air strike
- 32:37Speaker 1: on Syria at about eight forty p m. R Time
- 32:40Speaker 1: last night and retaliation for the chemical attack that the
- 32:43Speaker 1: Syrian government ordered on a northern Syrian town on Monday tonight.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I ordered a targeted military strike on the airfield in
- 32:52Speaker 1: Syria from where the chemical attack was launched. At least
- 32:56Speaker 1: seventy people were killed, you may remember on Monday, with
- 32:59Speaker 1: at least twenty of children. There are the pictures of
- 33:01Speaker 1: dying and dead children in the media. Last night, around
- 33:04Speaker 1: sixty Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched from ships in the Mediterranean.
- 33:09Speaker 1: The President is defending his action and asking for the
- 33:12Speaker 1: world leaders to back end. I call it all civilized
- 33:15Speaker 1: nations to join us and seeking to end the slaughter
- 33:19Speaker 1: and bloodshed in Syria, and also to end cars of
- 33:27Speaker 1: all kinds and all types. We ask for God's wisdom
- 33:32Speaker 1: as we face the challenge of our very troubled world.
- 33:37Speaker 1: We pray for the lives of the wounded and for
- 33:41Speaker 1: the souls of those who have passed, and we hope
- 33:45Speaker 1: that as long as America stands for justice and peace
- 33:50Speaker 1: and harmony, will in the end prevail. Seven people were
- 33:55Speaker 1: reportedly killed in that air strike, some others are injured.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Russian President Putin is calling it a violation of international law.
- 34:02Speaker 1: He wants the UN to meet about it. Russia also
- 34:04Speaker 1: says they've suspended all military coordination with the United States military. Meanwhile,
- 34:09Speaker 1: there are at least two reports that say the Russians
- 34:11Speaker 1: were notified of the attack before it happened by US officials.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Reactions from both parties, by the way, in Washington has
- 34:18Speaker 1: been positive supportive. Uh there was only one or two,
- 34:22Speaker 1: for instance Ran Paul who said that the President needs
- 34:24Speaker 1: to go to the Congress first before he launches wartime action.
- 34:28Speaker 1: President Trump's Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorser it's certainly to
- 34:31Speaker 1: be confirmed tonight when the full Senate votes, and getting
- 34:33Speaker 1: to this point required an unprecedented action on the part
- 34:36Speaker 1: of the Republican majority because Democrats and Independence blocked the
- 34:39Speaker 1: GOP from the traditional sixty votes need to confirm this
- 34:42Speaker 1: particular candidate. So Senate Republicans changed the law. Gorsage and
- 34:47Speaker 1: all other supremes can now from now on be approved
- 34:50Speaker 1: by winning a mere majority. Sander McKain says this is
- 34:54Speaker 1: more the tyranny of the majority, and he's said that
- 34:56Speaker 1: it had to go like this. Finally, sad news the
- 34:59Speaker 1: so called merchant event. The legendary comedian Don Rickles has
- 35:02Speaker 1: died of kidney failure. Riccles made an over a fifty
- 35:04Speaker 1: year career out of insulting people like the way he
- 35:07Speaker 1: once talked about Regis Philbin to David Letterman, be with
- 35:10Speaker 1: a friend. You know what do you guys charge your ticket?
- 35:14Speaker 1: What's your ticket? Because show it's a thousand dollars for
- 35:17Speaker 1: Regis and skating line come on in. Yeah. After a while,
- 35:21Speaker 1: it actually became a compliment to be famous enough to
- 35:23Speaker 1: be insulted by Don Rickles. Comedian Don Rickles dead at
- 35:26Speaker 1: ninety years of age. This is a trip on the
- 35:28Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, thank you, miss saying
- 35:31Speaker 1: it's we got everybody and no more sleeping in bed,
- 35:39Speaker 1: no more back to thinking. Time for thinking. A world
- 35:45Speaker 1: has changed so very much what it used to be.
- 35:50Speaker 1: There's so much change more impovertu oh oh we all
- 36:04Speaker 1: teachers come to teach a new way. Maybe then they
- 36:08Speaker 1: have listened to what you have to say. They're the
- 36:13Speaker 1: ones who lose coming up and the world is in
- 36:16Speaker 1: their hands when you teach that your to jump the
- 36:20Speaker 1: very best care. Well, get all bad I if we're
- 36:31Speaker 1: just let it be, well, forget all bad I. We
- 36:40Speaker 1: gotta change it just you when you we're up. All
- 36:48Speaker 1: the doctors make the old people well, they're the ones
- 36:53Speaker 1: who suffer that, who catch all the hair. They don't
- 36:58Speaker 1: have so very long before the judgment day. Won't you
- 37:03Speaker 1: make them happy before they pass away? We got off builders,
- 37:11Speaker 1: time to build under leg I know we could do
- 37:16Speaker 1: it if we all in the head. The only thing
- 37:20Speaker 1: we have to do is put it in on mind
- 37:25Speaker 1: sure that things will work out. They do it every time.
- 37:33Speaker 1: The world phone get all bad. If we just let
- 37:39Speaker 1: it be not not not, the world phon't get our bad.
- 37:47Speaker 1: We gotta change it. Just when change again, change again
- 37:59Speaker 1: to school, change again, change and going alone doing alone?
- 38:06Speaker 1: Need something help, don't don't do it low and do
- 38:10Speaker 1: it alone? Yeah, waup helth by that wake up, tery
- 38:21Speaker 1: by that need a little help, need a lit up,

- 40:42Speaker 1: in I love rainbows. Yeah, like rainbows. Thank you, thank you.
- 40:58Speaker 1: It's a beautiful thing to see. It's a beautiful thing
- 40:59Speaker 1: to capture. To be able to see a rainbow, to
- 41:02Speaker 1: be close to a rainbow. It's just God and I
- 41:05Speaker 1: wear a lot of rain about color. Excuse me, butterfly?
- 41:08Speaker 1: What what Steven saying something in the background. Oh he

- 54:44Speaker 1: This seems to be the only language you understand is
- 54:46Speaker 1: me talking to you crazy. Since you're talking to me crazy,
- 54:52Speaker 1: it's not coming down that you stay in that stank.
- 54:55Speaker 1: How about that? What you heard me? I said, you
- 54:59Speaker 1: stay in that stank. I'm not cleaning up. I've been

- 55:55Speaker 1: Oh mum? What what is that? What doing spell? I
- 56:03Speaker 1: don't know what is it? Spell it off? I'm not
- 56:06Speaker 1: telling that. You tell me what it is? What does
- 56:09Speaker 1: that say? I don't know. Nephew taught me nephew tim Me.
- 56:17Speaker 1: This is nephew Timmy from the Steve Avery morning. Your baby.
- 56:20Speaker 1: You just got break by your sister Nita while you
- 56:30Speaker 1: were sitting up there, like, what in the world. Yeah,
- 56:34Speaker 1: you got me, you got me, very, I got you,
- 56:39Speaker 1: I got you. I got one question for you, though,
- 56:41Speaker 1: what is What is the baddest and I mean the
- 56:44Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land. It is the Steve
- 56:48Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You got me good? You're listening to
- 56:53Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's that time, us that time.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tight. Strawberry letter. All right,
- 57:04Speaker 1: here we go with the strawberry letters. Subject husband, that smokes.
- 57:09Speaker 1: I've been married. That smoke. Okay, husband talks like these
- 57:14Speaker 1: people write these letters. Okay, sometimes they don't proper rise
- 57:18Speaker 1: the letters. Shut ups, Tommy, I've been married. I have
- 57:24Speaker 1: been married to my husband for over thirty years. Here
- 57:28Speaker 1: lately he seems to be angry a lot, but never
- 57:30Speaker 1: wants to talk about what is bothering him. If you
- 57:33Speaker 1: ask him what the problem is, he would say that
- 57:35Speaker 1: it is me, but he does not identify any specific thing.
- 57:39Speaker 1: He has problems sleeping at night, which makes him cranky
- 57:42Speaker 1: even more. What really bothers me is that he's a smoker.
- 57:45Speaker 1: I have asthma, and he continues to smoke. In my present,
- 57:50Speaker 1: I had a smoke. I had a stroke in my eye,
- 57:53Speaker 1: and the doctor told him that I could lose my
- 57:56Speaker 1: eye if he did not stop smoking around me. He
- 57:59Speaker 1: tries to blow the smoke out of the window, but
- 58:01Speaker 1: it blows back into the room. Sometimes he leaves the
- 58:04Speaker 1: bedroom to smoke elsewhere, but then other times it seems
- 58:07Speaker 1: as if he doesn't care. The doctor told him to
- 58:10Speaker 1: stop smoking, but he still continues to do so. I
- 58:13Speaker 1: care what happens to him, but I am more concerned
- 58:16Speaker 1: about staying healthy. What can I do to make him
- 58:19Speaker 1: understand that smoking, in secondhand smoke can harm both of us,
- 58:23Speaker 1: yours truly innocent bystander. Well, you know what, First of all,
- 58:28Speaker 1: you do have a problem this innocent bystander? You do. Uh,
- 58:32Speaker 1: here's a man you've been married to for thirty years
- 58:34Speaker 1: who seems to have totally checked out of the marriage
- 58:38Speaker 1: and you know, maybe a little bit of life, a
- 58:40Speaker 1: little bit Uhum. I say this because he tenues to smoke.
- 58:45Speaker 1: He continues to do the things that jeopardize your health
- 58:47Speaker 1: and his. The doctors have told him, as you mentioned
- 58:50Speaker 1: in the letter, to stop, he won't stop. I mean,
- 58:53Speaker 1: have you tried sitting him down and talking to him
- 58:55Speaker 1: and telling him about the severity of all of this.
- 58:58Speaker 1: But more than that, I think it's a marriage problem.
- 59:01Speaker 1: You know, you guys don't communicate. The love. Maybe isn't there,
- 59:05Speaker 1: you know, because I can't see that anyone who truly
- 59:08Speaker 1: loved you and loved himself would would do this to
- 59:11Speaker 1: harm you guys. I just don't see it. So I
- 59:14Speaker 1: think this is more of a marriage problem first, and
- 59:17Speaker 1: then your health and the smoking and all that. You know,
- 59:21Speaker 1: these problems started long ago. Steve m I don't I
- 59:27Speaker 1: see this letter totally. I don't. I don't know if
- 59:36Speaker 1: the letter should be entitled husband That's smoke, or maybe
- 59:41Speaker 1: you should have called the letter husband that don't give
- 59:43Speaker 1: a dath because really that's what it seemed like me right,
- 59:48Speaker 1: And uh see is obvious in the letter to meet
- 59:52Speaker 1: it is you and him, It ain't the smoke. You've
- 59:58Speaker 1: been married over thirty years lately. He seemed to be
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: angry a lot, okay, but he don't want to talk
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: about what's bothered. But then if you ask him what
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the problem is, he just says you, but he don't
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: identified a specific problem. The dunk on it let's just
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: go get the un because that really works wrong. You
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: wonder what he matter about you? He don't sleep good
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: at night? You know why he can't sleep because of you?
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Because he up trying to figure out a way to
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: get rid are you? And what's this is? What you
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: need to do is you need to start sitting up
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: to take something. Don't get comfortable, because this man tired
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: of you. This is what this letter is to me.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I don't know what letter Shirley read, but just a
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: letter about a man that's tired of you. Can't sleep
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: at night. That's cause the up coming up with a
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: plan with me. Let me drop a little knowledge on you.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Come on, if you start seeing certain things show up
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: at the house, probably need to start thinking about packing
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: fans if your man. If your man settling shows up
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: with a bunch of hefty bags, your mind won't think
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: about pack If your man just all of a sudden
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: just buy a new deep freezer, think about packet. If
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: y'all of a sudden you see a receipt for a
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: new boat, probably see a boat. A receipt for a boat.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: He had bought a boat and some garbage bags and
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: deep freeze. Probably need to think about packing because this
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: letter is a about you. Your husband's sick, are you?
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: He didn't told you it was you the reason. He
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: can't be specific because it's everything, too many things. Uh,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: he mad at everything about you, and he don't care.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: He don't even care about that hour yours to stroke

- 1:02:40Speaker 1: this don't go nowhere. When we left you were talking
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: about the eye. Yeah, this lady been mad, didn't man
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: thirty year and he don't give a damn about him.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: She can't be around second hand smoke and he's smoking.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: He ain't stopping smoking. That's the bottom line. She's talking about.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: How do I make him understand that smoking his second
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: hand smoke can harm both of us yours truly innocent
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: by bystander. First of all, how do you make him
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: understand that smoking his second hand smoking harm and hell,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: he know that it's on the side of the pack
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: cigarettes is one of the few dangerous things that will
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: tell you, Hell, I'm dangerous for you by so now
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I don't know y'all been married thirty years. I'm assuming
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: y'all at least fifty. Please know your husband know the
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: cigarette smoking is bad? Well, he don't care. Did not
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: you just say? I have asthma and he continues to
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: smoke in my presence. I had a stroke in my
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: eye and the doctor told him that I could lose
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: my eye if he did not stop smoking around me.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: But he's still smoking though, that's cause he'll give damn
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: about you are that eye? See? Your husband's gonna smoke
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: till you go blind because he don't want you to
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: see what he's doing. I'm telling you there's a boat coming,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: or some hefty bags coming, and a deep freezer coming.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: But if you go blind in that eye, you ain't
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: gonna be able to see it. This is all part
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: of the plane. You're crazy. He tries to blow smoke
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: out the window, but it blows back in the room.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: What grown up? Don't know that? Sometimes he leaves the
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: bedroom to smoke elsewhere. But at other times it seems
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: that if he don't care, you know, smoke go up
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: in there him. He knows what's going up there, he
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: won't to smoke to get him disapplied. Lady, move in
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: one of your sisters or get to a shelter. Are
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: you gonna be sitting up there with that other eye
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: in bad shape too? Called smoking? Ain't fitness, stop smoking.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: The doctor told him to stop smoking, but he still
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: continues to do. So I care what happens to him,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: but I'm more concerned about staying. Hell, you know what
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: I think this is. This is a man that won't
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: out and he don't care how he get out. Hell,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: if he got to die to get out. Seemed to
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: me like he willing to go in and take a shot.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: But it seems like if he could get rid of
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: you first, so he had a couple of years apieceful
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: he leaves. That's what this letter is to me. Okay,

- 1:24:13Speaker 1: I said tunic hour? Isn't just the beginning? You know?
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: You shot at you kill one foot in the grand
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: half to a half. That's folk play. We'd have done
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: it cooking and wash half. Abody got that kind of talk, anybody.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: I gotta go to work. That's the your friends, she's
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: doing five. Yeah, we know what we're here for. Let's
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: both get that and get on out of here. You see.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: That's another thing though, once you once you fifty in
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: the car, was pretty much over messing around. I tell
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: that rest off my car, and in order me to
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: do it in the car now, I had to take
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: the stand wheel out in the back of the seat.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: I had to see I take the seat back off
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: and the spin that in the room. I can't do
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: that in no damn called, No man, I gotta take
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: a standing wheel out in the back off the seat.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: Brother the stick shift for my knee hit it. Yeah,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: I need to not being over like that. I'm gonna
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: need some pillow. Yeah, in a refrigerator for snacks afterwards.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: That man being after that, my driver going, I'm gonna
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: have to explain him while he driving it ain't no
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: back on his ship. He on one knee draft. But
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: he round the corner on the side of the road,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: sitting there on the back of the chair with stairwheel
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: in his hands. On around done. Boy, she was something
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: to I think she made you a little nervous nevous man. Wow,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: you know what you could do with that kind of time? Okay,
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: all right, coming up, big Pepsi ad controversy. Uh, we're
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: gonna talk about that. I mean, this is big. It's
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: all over social media. Pepsi has pulled their ad. Will
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: tell you what we're talking about right after this. You're
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Show. Coming up, We're gonna tell
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: you about Pepsi. They have snatched a very controversial ad
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: starring Kendall Jenner. Will tell you all about it when
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: we come back. Ah, what's gorneral with Pepsi? Now, Lord Steve, Okay,
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: expect to see a lot of tears when this Pepsi
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: ad debacle plays out on Keeping Up with the Kardashians
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: and now Pepsi has pulled it, pull their ads from TV.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: Kendall Jenner, one of the younger Kardashian sisters, is reportedly
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: devastated by the negative public reaction to her Pepsi ad.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: It's um uh, like I said, Pepsi pulled it, man,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: this thing Okay, the protesting commercial. Okay, it's just so
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: much Steve to tell you about. And we ain't even
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: heard I know, but it's I've seen it. I've seen it.
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: You guys haven't seen it. Yeah, it's just a lot.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: So it's a protest themed commercial. It was brutally slammed
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: on social media for trivial trivializing today's real life movements
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: like black Lives Matter. Okay. Pepsi has decided to pull
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: their controversial ad because of the enormous backlash it received,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: and Pepsi put out a statement. It says they were
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: trying to protect the global message of unity or project
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: I should say, Pepsi was trying to project the global
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly we missed the
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: mark and we apologize. This is from Pepsi. We did
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: not intend to make light of any serious issue. The
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: company said, we are pulling the content and halting any
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: this position, because I mean, she is, you know, the
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: star of the commercial and everything. So also it touched um,
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: it touched Dr Martin Luther King's youngest daughter, Bernice. She
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: posted an image of dr king in a peaceful protest
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: literally being pushed back by a police line. And then
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: after that she tweeted if only Daddy would have known
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: about the power of hashtag pepsi. So clearly, yeah, she
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: was upset about it a lot of people, Yeah, because
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: it looked like they were really making light of the
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: Black Lives movement, you know, and give a cop of
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: pepsi and it's okay, you know, that makes everything, Yeah,
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: Steve So in this commercial, Kendall Jenner is doing a
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: video shoot and there's a protest going outside her video shoot,
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: so she decides to leave the video shoot and join
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: in the protesting. And then she grabs a can of
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: pepsi and you know what the protesting is, people from
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: all walks of life. And then you see these police
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: officers there, and then she gives a cop a pepsi
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: and like that's gonna make it okay? Everything, all right?
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: The social injustice is to can of soda or to
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: sal soda. Pepsi got a lot of backlash about yeah,
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: And I mean, you know, they they clearly apologize. They said,
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize, you know. Yeah, well,
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: we're gonna march on Pepsi. Well they and they apologized. Yeah,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: they see the era in in their ways in this community.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: You have to understand too. I want to say this too.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: All of these major companies use ad agencies, all of them.
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: Very seldom do they have a department, Oh, diversity department. Yeah,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: they don't know, and they go get these ad agencies.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: And I think a lot of the blame, well, it
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: eventually has to fall on the company Pepsi itself, but
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: the ad agency that came up with this campaign, the
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: ass is out of work because it's crazy. Man. You
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: have people sitting in here who make these types of decisions, man,
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: who don't really really get it, and they do something
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: like this trying to be Artsia, trying to be like that,
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: but not really understanding how people really feel. And then
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: you get something like this and it's not No. I
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: hate that they put this young woman in you to know,
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: feel understand all. She just going to work to do
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: her job. She's being directed and this was Pepsi's idea.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: But I could assure you that as an ad agency
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: somewhere who came in with, Wow, this is cutting edge,
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: is topical, is front and center. It's gonna get eyeballs,
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: it's gonna be talked about. And they went, wow, but
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: they don't know. And then they come up here and
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: they throw this young girl in the forefront of this
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: stuff with these people backhill Man, that didn't struggle. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: maybe maybe they were trying to do like Coke. You
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: remember how Coke had teach the world to teach you
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: know what I'm saying that Coke had a great commercial though. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: I think that's what they were trying to do. But
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: when Jenner, I think that. It's not that Jenna Kendall.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: Jenna is not a bad pick. She's she's a great
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: young girl. That's not the problem. The problem is the
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: messaging coming from whoever thought this was the way to
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: go about it, because she now PEPSI is allowing social
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: media to dictate to them how to run a company.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: And that's pretty damn stupid, man, Because what Coca Cola
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: did was I like to teach the world to see
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: in perfect cormony. I like to buy the world the
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: odd Dan, it's the real thing. You're listening to the
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Let's get to these back to
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: back jail. Uh, come on, Cat y'all. Right after this,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: we got time for one more thanks. Stick around. We
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: almost out of here, y'all. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: Morning Show. All y'all, here we go, uh funday minutes

- 1:34:23Speaker 1: shut everything that I had to go ask up for
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: some money. You try to use your bank in Philippine.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: They wouldn't transition, nothing like. What did he be doing
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: over there? He's asked in the Atlanta and they've never
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: been stolen car. Stolen car. He shut it down. Man,
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: oh man, that was hilarious. I said, Uh, I ain't
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: never asked for no money. I don't know how to ask,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: you know, it's embarrassing. Okay, look there for what happen?
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: He said, he man, he gave me a thound, no problem.
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: Ain't gonna hear you that right there. I was like, what,

- 1:35:12Speaker 1: get to you, and I know you have the country. Man,
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: I don't even hear my dudes out there hurting. Man.
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: I thought he needed some money, said, I tried to
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: get thound thout here man, and walked off. I'm gonna
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: pay you back, dog, go on. Now, I ain't chasing
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: nobody for no thousand. No. I thought that's what he needs.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: I thought something that hey, I thought he had to
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: check out of something. I ain't know what happened, man.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: I took a bottle of mccalundar and put a bottle
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: mccalum in my room over there from Miss Universe, and
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: I picked the bottle up. I put it in my
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: bag to leave. Got said up, Mr Harvey, Uh that
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: wasn't a gift, that's okay. What was it? It was
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: on my table with a card and he said, well,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: you know if you take it, you know they're gonna
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: charge you for the bottle. I said, okay, I kept
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: going downstairs. The dude can't down to love you. Um
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: Mr Harvey, Um, you took that bottle of mccollumn eighteen. Yea, uh,
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: that's a charge. That's okay cool. Whatever I'm getting in
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: the car. They've been to put my bag in the trunk.
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: Another dude, Mr Harvey, Um the bag the bottle, said,
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: charge a fool, charge your full bottle? Said hey, man,

- 1:36:39Speaker 1: you know, you're okay cool, it's a bottle or liquor.
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: Could you put it? Because first of all, you could
