- Todd: Welcome everyone to the wildly opinionated news hour Todd's world I'm Todd Kerry is with me and you're with us and we are so glad that you are Thanks for joining us today. We're recording Memorial Day weekend. So this will drop ⁓ Probably the Tuesday right after Memorial Day. So hope everybody had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, hope everyone had a great weekend. Maybe on your new deck. Todd: As that's right. I have been building some decks. There's, Whoa, been working too hard, but that's okay. I like it. You know, when you get in, when you live in, Michigan, you go through six months where you don't have the greatest weather. when you get the greatest weather, it's nice to be outside and banging away and getting some big outdoor stuff done. So I like it. Makes me happy. Yo, It's Carrie: That's good. This is the fun work. Mm-hmm. Definitely. That's cool. I work outside and it is hot AF. Todd: Yeah. It hasn't been here today. I think it's I is 64. You'd have your code on Gary. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ my gosh. ⁓ my gosh. think it's... Yeah, it's gonna be 88 here today. Todd: Yeah, we're not getting that. So, ⁓ supposedly going to be maybe a big weekend for, ⁓ you know, Trump, Don jr is getting married this weekend. Donald Trump jr. Yes. Not to Kimberly Guilfoyle. He, he, they broke up a while back and he got a new squeeze and I don't remember the girl's name. She's not as a celebrity oriented. don't think. Yo, It's Carrie: Is he? Wait, to whom? Did he fumble the bag with Kim? Todd: I think he got rid of her. I think he got tired of it is what I think. I don't, I, I question she's, she's a pretty girl. I question how much there is there, but who knows? But anyway, point is that Don Tron, Don Jr is getting married this weekend and Trump was on his way to bed minutes, bedminster in New Jersey, his golf club, ⁓ Friday, I believe yesterday. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. All right. Okay. Mm-hmm. Todd: And maybe early afternoon and the entire motorcade, everything turned around. He canceled all plans. All Intel services are in town for the weekend and have been ordered to stay put. The pizza places across DC are going nuts, which means they're all working late. So we expect something to go down, probably something with Iran. It may be strikes or it may be a deal. I get the sense that, that this is the weekend that things are. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ don't know. What is? Todd: are right there. The airspace I watched last night, yeah, I watched last night kind of in live time as the airspace around Iran all cleared. everything that means the United States told people to stay out of it. And you saw the entire thing clear. They're getting ready. Trump's going to turn it into, I don't know what I, I, you'd like to see some resolution there. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. You think something's happening. Really? Interesting. Okay. Okey dokey. some Memorial Day fireworks or? Yikes. Todd: Yeah. I just, you just, you hate it for the people, but at the same time, the people haven't exactly risen up and we've, there's been a lot of chaos. So I, I don't know. We've got to have, I think Trump agrees. got to have some kind of resolution. so in Trump's mind, you blow things up when you need a resolution. ⁓ Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, I guess so. Show of power. Let's see how it goes. Well, I hope it goes well. I guess I hope the wedding is nice. Todd: So he's missing his son's wedding is the point. Yo, It's Carrie: I think he couldn't handle being with someone smarter than him. That's why I think he's not with Kim. Todd: Who's smarter? ⁓ Don Jr. You mean you really like, see, I never had strong, ⁓ I, Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah. She's a smart woman. Todd: tell you what, I've been ⁓ kind of watching. So we'll see what happens this weekend, guys. You may know by the time this drops, ⁓ maybe everything has changed in I hope so. And we'll analyze it next week. But as of right now, it's a Memorial Day weekend. It's relatively calm, but a little bit on edge in DC and maybe in Iranistan. ⁓ Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Great. Mm-hmm. Okay. Look out. Todd: Maybe you're on edge. If you're by a military, I don't know if there are any military installations left in Iranistan, but if there are, I mean, who knows? ⁓ boy, I'm all the way back to, I'm trying to, ⁓ I some clips. I want to get into ⁓ AI little bit. What do you think about that? Because, ⁓ but little different, ⁓ a little different view on AI. Okay, here we go. Yo, It's Carrie: Look out. Yeah, I don't think so. Mm-hmm. Okay. Todd: Uh, our old buddy from Amazon, Jeff Bezos is who we're gonna, we're going to listen. He's been out and about with some interviews this week and I found them kind of interesting. I got to tell you, it crossed my mind that I said to Nikki, I wonder if this guy is, is angling toward politics. Well, it'd be, it'd be president. wouldn't be. think Trump, Trump, think has kind of blown, like blown the lid off. other words, Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. ⁓ no. Todd: But before in the eighties and nineties, you had these wildly successful businessmen and half ass celebrities and whatever. But I don't think, I think they looked at politics as kind of a grubby business that they didn't want to mess with and whatever. But there's no doubt Trump has taken it and he's the most powerful man in the world. Like I said to Nikki, I wonder if Bezos is angling for something in the coming four, eight years, you know, whatever. And she said, why would he want it? And I said, because. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. it. That's so awful. Right. Todd: To men like that, all they want is the top rung, and let me tell you what, the President of the United States is the top rung of every ladder in the world. I mean, here, in this temporal world. Yo, It's Carrie: Sure, yeah, that could be. Todd: And that's why they want it. They've done it all. They've, they've done everything else. aren't, they want to fight. They want people to try to destroy them. Yo, It's Carrie: I don't know. think it's just, I think it's a really strange desire. Todd: That's because you're a woman, you can't relate. I do think there's some of that. And what I'm talking about in Jeff Bezos, I can recognize, I don't personally have it. I'm not that driven, but there are certain types of men who are so driven. There may be types of women like that too, although they're always mildly disturbing. Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah. I understand what you're saying about the male drive. Okay, I know. I didn't hang up on him, everyone calm down. ⁓ But no, I understand what you're saying about the male drive, that kind of that masculine quality. I get that. Todd: Well, supercharged, I mean, is what we're talking about. Like, like the few men in the world who are. Yo, It's Carrie: Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Like, yeah, above normal, you know, above average. But I've got to say just even if you're, even if your mind is there, practically speaking, it's not like, I don't know, there's just so much, there's so much downside to holding that position. just, I can't imagine that outweighing. Can't imagine the one positive outweighing all of, it's like the shittiest position you could possibly hold. Todd: I know. Yo, It's Carrie: Anyway. Todd: That's because you can't imagine a world dumb, your worldview dominated by power. And that's essentially what, what it is. You know what I mean? Calm down, Jeff. Okay. This is, this is Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, ⁓ talking about AI, I think maybe giving us a little different perspective. We have talked about AI some, but a lot of what we've talked about in the clips we've seen. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Todd: I guess for lack of a better word, I'm going to say it's like AI fear porn. You know what I mean? Like it's like, ⁓ world's going to end. You're already dead. AI has just fooled you and you don't even know it. Well, here's Jeff Bezos talking about AI. It's here he has to say. Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, we're kind of talking about where's this headed? it going to destroy us? Yeah, ⁓ that's true. There's so much you can talk about. Unplug, unplug. ⁓ Todd: Yeah What do you think, Carrie? Yo, It's Carrie: Well, I mean, I don't know about things getting cheaper. I'd like to understand more about that. But that's an interesting take. I agree, you and I, when we've talked about it, like that we're not really very afraid of it is because we view AI as more of a tool for us to use, not something that's going to replace the human element entirely. But I liked his analogy of the bulldozer. Sure. Todd: Hmm? Right. But there's a lot of fear. And there will be, listen, like this is, this is what I said to Nikki. said, I think that a positive view of AI, think it could be, I think it could be amazing. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Todd: We're going to share him too. ⁓ this is new, ⁓ fed guy, but anyway, I want to finish my thought. This is who's on the screen. Guys is, is, ⁓ Trump's new fed chairman just got sworn in Friday. We're finally done with Jerome Powell. We should see rates start to drop interest rates, which should, should hopefully unfreeze the, ⁓ the housing market somewhat, which will also help people. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm Okay. Okay, yeah. Todd: You know, equity, most people's major source of, of equity is in their home. And if you get at that, it helps to kind of unlock things and get things moving. So anyway, ⁓ but what I was saying is I think that AI, think we could look back. Like we, we're at a time that, that in the next five years, we're going to see amazing jumps and the people that are going to do the best are the people who are willing to learn and work with the AI and aren't afraid of it. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. ⁓ Great. Todd: As a builder, when he used that, that you're trying to dig out a basement with a shovel compared to with a bulldozer or an excavator or whatever, made, that attracted me so much. But the other thing I thought about is all the different excavators I've seen dig basements over three decades and how you can have a guy who's got an excavator who it takes four times as long for it because he doesn't really know what he's doing. Or then you've got the really good guys who Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Right. Mm-hmm. Well said, yes. Todd: get a basement dog and it's within an inch of level and everything is perfect. And you're just like, it's done in, it's done in four hours. And you're like, Holy cow. You know what I mean? Yes. And so I do think that, and I think that the fear porn aspect of AI that was programmed in, I mean, it's, it's running through all of us. All we can think about is the Terminator and the metal coming together. Yo, It's Carrie: Right, because they know how to use the tool. You're right. You're totally right. Right. Right. Todd: You know what I mean? That's and, and so there's a certain fear of it and we're fear it's going to take our jobs. And if you're, if you're a low level legal secretary or whatever, we're afraid of that. But, but I do think there's an aspect where if that fear keeps you from learning it and learning to use it, you're going to be left behind in this kind of thing. Not any different than when we had cars and they were eventually adopted. And if you're afraid of cars, if you're afraid of flying, you're going to suffer. I think computers is perfect. I met and I didn't have time. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Or computers, know, or computers and yeah. Todd: I wanted to have a little conversation comparing the rise of this new era of AI to the rise of personal computing and kind of the fears that went with both. My guess would be that they track pretty close. I think you're right on that. I just didn't get around to it, guys. It was really busy week for me. Yo, It's Carrie: Sure. Mm-hmm. But yeah, that's interesting. So when did the previous Fed, how did the Fed get released? Like when was that? ⁓ okay, thank you. I'm like, I... Todd: Friday and he did, and Jerome Powell didn't go quietly. He didn't want to go. Trump's been wanting him out for awhile. Yo, It's Carrie: Friday, like a whole week ago Friday. Like for us yesterday. Todd: No, last Friday, the day that Kevin Warsh, is this guy's name, was ⁓ yesterday, was sworn in, is the same day that the old chairman is gone. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Okay, thank you. I don't feel as bad. like, I've not heard this. Okay. Todd: No, but this is the new fed, ⁓ the new fed chair and, ⁓ let's hear what he has to say. This again, I think is about, I hope it's about AI. Otherwise we'll see what it is. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay, chair, there we go. I'm Todd: So the new head of the Fed is basically echoing what Jeff Bezos said. Yo, It's Carrie: He is. I'm curious about the cost of the data centers though, because of like the establishment of them. ⁓ I mean, it's it's billions of dollars, you know, being put into this. And I guess it's impacting the electricity demands of it. ⁓ I've heard people predict that they will have that they'll have a profound effect on the economy, the power availability and the economy of big cities and where they're being built. So I'm just curious. Well, not big state, wherever they're being built. Todd: ⁓ that, that, that I think, well, and that's, that, certainly is something that people are worried about. That was when I was talking with Nikki about it last night, that's her big thing is every time I'm on grok talking to it, she's like, ⁓ my God, you're using so much water. What are you talking about? I'm drinking water. I'm drinking beer. What are you talking? This, this water has already been made into beer by Jesus. Speaking of. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Ha It's Ricky Gough. Todd: Tomorrow we on we have two podcasts guys We do the wildly opinionated news hour that you're listening to right now and enjoying and we're so happy that you're here on Wednesday we drop those on Tuesdays on Wednesdays We drop beers with Jesus where we're what we walk through the stories of the Bible. We don't preach We just focus on the story mostly and right now we're in Genesis, which has some just great stories I mean and kind of wild stories this Tomorrow's story will be some of the wildest of all this is they were talking about the Nephilim Yo, It's Carrie: Ooh. ⁓ that's right. Todd: and the sons of God hooking up with daughters of men and it's that Genesis 6, 1 through 4 thing that has everybody, the whole internet all a flutter right now and Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, kind of ultra curious and it'll be fun. Yeah, hope you join us tomorrow too. Todd: So let's see what we come up with on it. don't know what we'll come up with. So join us for that guys, is the whole point. Todd'sWorld.net has all the books, everything. Check it out. You really should buy a book. Anyway, you would love them. Yo, It's Carrie: So, okay, so Nikki says, you're using, here you are, you're using grok, therefore you're using excessive water. ⁓ Well, that's, my son Patrick is of that mind also. He's like, yeah, don't use AI unless absolutely necessary because it's like, it's not good. And I'm trying to understand how this is any different than just going onto Google or. Todd: she thinks. Yo, It's Carrie: you know, going on Facebook or YouTube or anything. How is it any different? Todd: Supposedly the computing power required is so much greater. I don't know. I said this to Nicky, said, my guess is that five years from now we'll look back and we'll be shocked how fast, ⁓ five, 10 years from now, how fast all of those concerns we had about data centers, about cooling, about jobs, how fast all of that worked its way through the system. Now, that doesn't mean there won't be downsides. I expect there will. I just expect it to be like every, Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, I just. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yep. Okay. Todd: other endeavor and advancement of human society which is we don't know what they are and all the predicted ones won't be it it'll all be different it'll be both better and worse just like smartphones you know what i mean that wildly productive wildly addictive all kinds of societal societal ⁓ yeah changing things but i don't think we know what they are on the front end we never do Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Okay. Okay, sure. implications. Todd: You know what I mean? I expect that those concerns on the environmental side, expect they'll sort through them again. It's true. There will be, there will be pain points as you go through it. There will be mass people who lose jobs. There will be some other things. I say mass, I don't know, like paralegals. I mean, there's things like that, but see to me that that's the other thing about AI that I'm excited about. Like just let's take just, just the legal system. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Okay. Okay. Todd: I don't think you could say there's any other institution other than the criminal justice system, courts, the whole thing, that have been more insulated and rigged by attorneys for attorneys who turn into judges. The entire system, I mean, you can't, how can you go represent yourself? You're going to get destroyed because of the way they've set the system up with all these filings and all the jargon and this, that, and the other thing, right? You might not know unless you've tried. Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, the red tape. Todd: I actually tried once, it didn't go well. And, but what's going to happen is, and you've already got it where people will take these lawsuits or whatever. They'll feed all the info into Grok or into Claude or into whatever one of these, one of these AI systems. AI will tell them exactly what to do. They'll produce the filings. All you have to do is sign them. You send them in. They they're winning legal cases that way. That is an example. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ damn, okay. Damn. Todd: of a structural disintegration that's been rigged for hundreds of years that technologies come in and the internet did this and smartphones did this with certain things, but they come in and they disrupt things. Now they don't just disrupt jobs, they disrupt entire industries like that and sometimes for the better. Suddenly, justice in the justice system is far more accessible to anybody with a computer. That's good in my opinion for society. You know what I mean? Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. You know, let's just put a little pin in the idea because if what you're saying continues and ⁓ proves true, Todd, I wonder if we will see introduced the idea of disallowing someone to represent themselves. Todd: ⁓ I absolutely could see that coming. Cause I think this is going to be wildly disruptive for, ⁓ Yo, It's Carrie: Yep. We'll see a little, let's just put a little pin in that on the board and be like, keep an ear, ear down. Yep. Yeah. Anyway. Todd: Let's remember that one. And that's only one thing. I'm sure how many things I haven't even crossed my mind as brilliant as I am. anyway. Let's hear our fearless president. Yo, It's Carrie: Right. Yeah, interesting. Yeah. OK. Okay. Todd: And he's got some opinions on AI. about that? I know it's awesome. Isn't it? I love Trump. How's he? He just doesn't age really. I'm not saying he doesn't look like he's older. Of course he is, but he's looked like he's older for, I don't know, 12 years. Exactly this age. Yo, It's Carrie: Look at him color coordinating with the plane. Uh-huh. Right, was going to say he kind of looks the same. But not quite baby's blood same. Todd: No. One way the other. Yo, It's Carrie: Just... Is he going to circle back to the question? Todd: Hahaha Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ my gosh, he did not answer the question. Todd: Well, AI said it's going to be, he thinks it's going to be great. Yo, It's Carrie: Yep. Then it's like. Todd: Trump's not one to get it. Trump doesn't generally get into the weeds on things. Do you know what I mean? Yo, It's Carrie: He's done a little bit of a diversion. Todd: This is great though. This is, let's, let's hit another Trump. This is, I think the same press gaggle. It looks like to me, same tie. looks like although I can't see the plane right now. So it's a little different angle. Calm down, calm down. Yeah. ⁓ let's hear what, ⁓ what Trump has to say. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Okay. Okay. same day. Todd: ⁓ I love Trump. Yo, It's Carrie: That's great. That's great. Todd: I was a little hard on him last week, but I will say that I wanted to as in, okay. He's right about the, I banged on the stock market idea versus, you know, Wall Street versus Main Street last week. And there is truth in that. There may be truth also that Wall Street is looking past, past the current turbulence better than Main Street is. In other words, they can see farther out. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Todd: And I've listened, we've talked about Victor Davis Hansen. have a clip of him I'd like to play later, but we love Victor Davis Hansen. So smart. And he was, I listened to him breaking down the structural strengths of the US economy. And employment is strong. He just, he was going all through it. And he said, I really think if he can just get the end to this, gas goes back down to a buck 85 a gallon. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. He's really, yeah, he's very wise. nice. Todd: He said, I think you're going to see a boom like we've never seen before. Yo, It's Carrie: Cool. Do you have that clip? Todd: I don't because you know it was kind of it was a it was a show and it was long he I listen to his shows and so it was over the course of I do have a Victor Davis Hanson though where is it where did I put that hold on let me find it Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Okay, gotcha. Well, I hope he's right while you're looking. I hope Victor is right. He's, that's interesting to hear. Todd: I just think that, so we had last week and I gave you the, I would say is a more pessimistic view, but I think the optimistic view, I think the truth is probably somewhere in between, but I do think there's good reason for optimism. Here's Victor Davis. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Right. Todd: Here he is talking about Trump, and you know this kinda ties in cause he's talking about the Terminator. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay Todd: You're gonna like this. Here's Victor Davis Hanson, Yo, It's Carrie: That's hilarious. Todd: ⁓ ha, ha, ha, ha, Beep beep. Hahaha Ha Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ my gosh, Todd, I'm so glad you shared that. I have never seen him be funny like that. I've never seen him laughing like that. That was great. He's usually like, I love him because he's so knowledgeable. He knows how to really integrate like historical evidence with what's happening now. Like he's just so, like he's just seen so much and he knows so much. ⁓ my gosh, I've never just seen him be funny. Todd: ⁓ I love Victor. He's really funny a lot of the time. I like Victor Davis a lot Yo, It's Carrie: That was a riot. Todd: He is see he's one of my regular listens, so I listened to his podcast I may not I probably don't listen to it 100 % of time but a lot and Yeah, he's funny. I like him. No, he's he's very reasoned and he's uh, but but he is he's he's funny for sure. Okay, I wanna Let's see if I can get this to do here. I want to play you know Milton Friedman is don't you? Milton Friedman Yo, It's Carrie: you like that? Mm-hmm. That's great. I love that. Mm-hmm. The comments. Todd: Yeah, for those who don't know, he's been passed away now for a while, but he was the classic free market economist. Let's hear what Milton Friedman has to say. Quick 30 second clip that I think is one of the most, he's going to express one of the most profound, simplest things that... Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Right. Yes. Okay. Todd: pertains to government spending that you've ever heard. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Todd: 100 % There is only one way and that's to choke it off I will say that the other thing Trump has done is that ⁓ the federal employment In other words people working for the federal government is at its lowest level since the 60s Trump is choking things off his tariffs to he's talking about getting rid of the income tax. That's choking off a supply. I really believe Yo, It's Carrie: 100 % Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Amazing. Yeah, amazing. Yep. Todd: That Trump is, I know I banged on him last week guys, but I'm telling you, I really believe that he cares so much about this country. He wants to be look back. I don't know that we'll appreciate Trump for 20, 30 years till we see everything that he is setting the stage for happen. But I think history is going to look back at him and say that he changed. He changed the course of American and it was a golden age and it was, it was the American empire. Like we've never seen before. And. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. We might. Right. Mm-hmm. Right. mean, the way, remember Scott Besson? Remember, gosh, I don't know when this was, last year sometime. He talked about, you played a clip of him talking about how like, was, yeah, it was when the tariffs were happening. And he said, this is a gamble, but we know that if we continue down the path we're going, that we're done. Right. And it's like, hello, that should be the wake-up call. You know, it's funny though. Todd: right this time or Yo, It's Carrie: We believe him and AOC says Florida is going to be underwater in 10 years and we don't believe her. So, know, no, it's been, I think it's been about that long. No, I'm not worried. Todd: Are you worried? Is AOC a biologist? ⁓ Yo, It's Carrie: Sorry, bartender. ⁓ sorry, biologist. Todd: I don't know what a woman or a swamp is. One more quick little Trump thing, then we're going to leave Trump behind for the weekend to blow up Iran or whatever he's going to do. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. meters. Here we go. ⁓ Is this a resmit? Todd: The crowd is chanting four more years. yeah he's in new york stump and for congressman for the midterms Yo, It's Carrie: New York. Todd: I don't know. Yo, It's Carrie: Yes, that's awesome. That's really fun. Todd: How can you not love him he's just a Big he's like Rush Limbaugh was used to call himself Rush Limbaugh's like I'm just a harmless lovable little fuzzball. That's Trump People be going off on him you like I'm just a guy in a golf shirt in Florida. What are you talking about? ⁓ Yo, It's Carrie: Is that what he called herself? That's so cute. That's very cute. ⁓ that's good. Todd: So anyway, there's been stuff going, this is your friends from the view. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ they're not my friends. Crazy bitches. Todd: They're about to tell us why they can't get more Republicans on. You're going to be shocked at the reason. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ no. Okay, Todd: HA Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ my gosh. I hope Republicans flood the show. Flood the show. Todd: ⁓ We're scared of us. MTG is going to fit in so good on the view. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ my gosh. ⁓ earth? were they calling ⁓ him boyfriend? That's funny. Yeah. Todd: I don't know. I don't know enough about the view. All I ever see is clips. The idea that I would ever turn on a full show of the view, no, no, I probably won't. I'm scared. I'm scared of them. They caught me. Yo, It's Carrie: No, definitely not. Yes, you a Republican male, you're just afraid of the view. You're just afraid of joy. ⁓ my gosh. That's funny. Todd: I want to find a, uh, oh shit. What's this? Oh, I got to tell you about this. I wanted to tell you that I was excited about this breaking news, Carrie from Minnesota, the land of 10,000 Tim balls, 10,000 Somalians. Um, breaking news, Mike Lindell, the my pillow guy. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Okay. ⁓ Okay. Mm-hmm. Todd: Leads the race for Minnesota governor. New polling shows Mike Lindell leading the Republican field days before the Minnesota GOP convention. And he has president Trump's endorsement, which is usually the ⁓ Willy Wonka gold ticket. And I suspect it will be on this one, the gold pillow. ⁓ and he's, his lead is 22 points. So Mike Lindell. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Okay. Gold pillowcase. ⁓ my gosh. In the Republican primary. Okay. Yep. Todd: is strongly head this is in the republican primary so this doesn't necessarily it's not a general thing yet but point is that ⁓ that yeah it's ⁓ he's doing really well Yo, It's Carrie: I don't know. don't know how the population there is going to like Mike Lindell. How are the Somalis liking Mike Lindell? Todd: ⁓ that was the other thing I was gonna tell you. Where was that? They just had another announcement and there was a Somalian, was it up here? And she was on the hook for 43 million in ⁓ that fraud they just indicted her on. ⁓ I'm looking for that. Here it is. Yo, It's Carrie: Ahem. Mm-hmm. Yes. I saw someone, and I'm going to say chasing down, you know, when like reporters are chasing down like a politician like through a hall or whatever and they're not, I saw someone really working hard to get Ilan Omar to answer questions about that. And she was just hoofing it faster than I've ever seen her move and not answering. Todd: Yeah. She's too busy for that. going to stop, but he's basically. Yo, It's Carrie: You know who the vulnerable adults are here? The taxpayers. Todd: Mm-hmm Well, yeah, but I mean there is a point to the fact that that some of these I mean that There are kids out there. There are families that need help and that may not be getting it Because well, I mean we understand it's it's ballooned to 50 times what the actual need is but but that's the thing about Government fraud is not only does it balloon a lot of the times it doesn't get to the people that Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. You right. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Todd: are supposedly the ones who need it. That's the whole point. Yo, It's Carrie: Exactly. Yeah. And you've got four really good examples there of groups that Democrats claim to care so much about. Todd: Yeah. Yo, It's Carrie: Right. Wow. So this is, ⁓ so this 43 million, or 45 million, this ⁓ is a woman, right? Was indicted. Todd: It's a. Yes. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ she was sentenced to prison, I think. Todd: Maybe, it could be that that's already happened. I'm not sure exactly with the case. I did hear that there was multiple ones that were. Yo, It's Carrie: I think, yeah. Right. But big time. yeah, Elon Omar still hasn't answered, hasn't given an acceptable answer about her, her income tax clerical error, $30 million clerical error. What is that? Todd: Really? I'm shocked. It's become clear that the Democrat Party is nothing but the party of fraud. I mean, really, that's it. Boil everything down, strip everything else away, and they're thieves. That's all they are is thieves. So now they try to spread a little money along the way so that their thievery isn't as detected, but never fear. The purpose is the thievery. The purpose is not to help anyone. Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah. Like grifting. Grifting at its finest. Yeah. and Mm-hmm. Right. It's craziness there. Todd: So do I want to go to what time? This is Jeff Bezos again. This is not an AI thing. actually, I'm going to, I want to play this because I want to get your take on it see what you think. This is something that a lot of people don't, it's a viewpoint. don't think a lot of people naturally think a way that they think. Let's hear what he has to say. This is about charitable giving versus building businesses. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Todd: What do think, Gary? Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ I hear what he's saying and I'm going to say he's had a, I, I'm an avid Amazon user and what he's done and especially in the context he shared there, he has definitely had a positive impact on like on society and it's, you know, certain accessibilities and things like that. I just think that measure measuring that I feel like it's just not the same as giving charitably. There's like. I just feel like it's Todd: Well, he, listen, he gives a lot of charity, but I think that his point is, and this is what I thought was interesting. His point is that people tend to look at charitable giving as the measure of what you're doing to help out the greater good of society. And he's making the point, I'm going to do far more for the greater good of society through my capitalistic efforts at building this business. You know what I mean? And I know lot of people don't think that way, I don't think. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay, got it. There you go. Right. And I agree with that. It's a different, it's a different, no, because, well, because we've had a whole like generation or two try, you know, being taught that capitalism is evil. So I like the fact that he's pointing that out because I agree with that. I agree with that. It's longer lasting as well. It's, longer lasting. Todd: Yeah. I do too. The best. The best thing he could do is run a really good business that helps people and provides wages and raises. Yeah. So. Yo, It's Carrie: Yep. Helps them with employment, helps with accessibility, affordability sometimes. ⁓ So yeah, I think that's really interesting. What is his political alignment? Todd: I don't exactly know. But do you see why, if you just listen to the couple clips we've played and there's more out there, do you see why I get the feeling that he might be feeling out the waters a little bit? mean, what more can he do at Amazon? He's already got his space thing. He's already got $450 billion. Like I'm telling you, there's something about also he's not, Elon Musk is weird. Like for Elon Musk to be as, as, as Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah. Mm. Right. Todd: Focused as he is and like on space and everything Right, but Bezos not that Bezos isn't intelligent, but I think Bezos maybe has a little bit more relatability Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Right. mean, he's like so intelligent, he's weird. I get it. Yeah. Right. His social skills are different. What, ⁓ I don't know. don't know that I would, I don't know that I would automatically assume that he is angling for politics, but hearing those two clips you shared makes me wonder what his political leanings are, because I would have assumed before today that he's one of these liberal billionaires like Bill Gates, like who are, you know, I can't, I would. Todd: right. One would assume I would assume the same thing. He has been kind of chummy with Trump. Yo, It's Carrie: But which is counterintuitive to me, completely counterintuitive. ⁓ So I don't know, but he doesn't sound it there. In the first clip, he said something about hamstringing ⁓ with regulations, with overregulation. Well, talking about minimizing government regulation on anything, and then here talking about the powers, the social improvement powers of capitalism, he doesn't sound very liberal to me. Todd: Yeah. No, and he may not be. It may be that we're going to see some of the, that we'll see some realignment in things. Do you know what I'm saying? Because the Democrats really have, I mean, they're lunatics. We said that last week. Like your choices are sometimes completely wildly ineffective Republicans who almost you feel like might as well be Democrats, except they don't want to cut your daughter's breasts off. Yo, It's Carrie: It's interesting. Yeah, interesting. I like that. Yes. Yeah. Thank Right. Todd: Like they don't want to mutilate your kids. They know what a woman is. That's my point is like the Democrats have become so fringe and so lunatics. And I do believe it's healthy for America to have two parties. But I suspect there's going to be some realignment to where you have two parties that move away from the fringe of lunaticism that we've seen the Democrats tailspin into. Yo, It's Carrie: Right. Yeah, I want to comment on something you just said, because I think that what the danger is with Democrats going so far, one direction and being so nuts, like you said, just the lunatics, it like lowers the bar of conservative options. It's like, well, at least, at least they don't want to cut my daughter's breasts off. Like it's like, that's a horrible bar. I want way more than that from my representatives, you know. Well, right. But it's like, I just realized that that's... Todd: Yeah. That's where we're at with the Democrats in America. Yo, It's Carrie: the way you said it, that that's the danger in that. It's like, no, we can have high standards. And then there are some out there, Todd: If you're in the Palisades in California, think at least the Republicans don't want to burn down my house. At least that. At least they aren't actively rooting for my house to go up in flames. That's something like, I mean, you're right. We should have higher bars. But thus is America. Yo, It's Carrie: Right? Yeah. We should have hired Mars. How Spencer Pratt, are we going to talk Spencer Pratt? ⁓ good. Okay. Okay. I'm so excited about this. Todd: I've got a Spencer pride ad will play. I want to play this, UFO thing just because there's so much going on and it's so like, I told you, I listened to Steve days too. He said the other day on his program that he didn't think aliens or UFOs, unless they land in the middle of super bowl, that it's ever kind of like filter into and make any difference in American guy. And then there may be truth to that. There's a lot of stuff coming out. Trump has been declassifying and it's. Yo, It's Carrie: I agree. Todd: All the time, like you see these glowing humanoid forms of these orbs and all these weird things. Let's hear what Jesse waters has to say. had this last week and I didn't get to it. Just kind of a fun little clip. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ my gosh. Todd: Talk about the government site where they're declassifying the UFO stuff. So they're dropping stuff on a government site, I don't remember what it is, but they're dropping all these declassified stuff. Yo, It's Carrie: Is this like something like Area 51 or something? Okay. Over a billion people have gone to visit? Todd: is those kinds of things so all these different like camera footages and they've gone to visit this site where the government's dropping all this stuff Yo, It's Carrie: so wild Todd: Will Smith's back. I want people to understand that we're listening to Fox News. This is a national American respected news. This was unthinkable 20 years ago, 10 years ago. This is unthinkable. Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, this is not like a tablet. Jesse Waters is not a tabloid program. Okay, and I'm sorry, are those scientists like living right now? Okay. Todd: Yeah, I think so. Yeah, let's he's going to tell us the four types of aliens that are out there. Yes. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ seriously? Let's go. WHAT?! Todd: Four types of of actual well, I don't know. They're just four types of things. I think they may be from here. I don't know Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ my gosh. Todd: It's just regular Swedish guy. Yo, It's Carrie: What? Todd: There's a lot of those over in Finland and Sweden. They just walk around on the streets. Yo, It's Carrie: Maybe that's where they've been hanging out. We don't know why there's an uptick in tourism. Her name is Luna. Luna. ⁓ I don't know. Todd: That was representative, Luna. What's her name? Anna. ⁓ Annapolino Luna. She's from Texas. The one she was in that. Remember she modeled swimsuits on too. Yeah. I think it's Texas. She's a Hispanic. You know who she is. She's real pretty and she's been on the alien thing. She was on Rogan. Remember talking about the book of Enoch, which we're going to talk about tomorrow. And beers with Jesus guys. Join us with beers with Jesus tomorrow. And by the way, Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. She's from Texas. Her name's Luna. Okay. ⁓ I remember her. Okay. ⁓ yeah. Todd: Log on to Todd'sWorld.net and get witness. There's different kinds of humanoids in witness too. Yo, It's Carrie: Yes, there are. It's great. They may or may not be Swedish. Todd: It's so much fun. It's not exactly like this. They just walk around like normal people in Sweden. That's what wrongs Washington. What do think, Kerry? I just had to play that. That's just kind of a- Yo, It's Carrie: I'm surprised and pretty fascinated. Todd: Grays and Fox News. is prime time Fox News. Just said we have grays. We have the Nordics, the insectoids, which those are the people that look like praying mantises. Yes. And then the reptilians look like lizard people. Yeah. And I got to tell you, I buy some of this. I think that that reptilian thing. Yo, It's Carrie: No. Right? Nordics. Preemioces. That gave me the heebie-jeebies and the reptilians. Wow. Yeah. Todd: has some kind of connection to the serpent in Genesis. I don't know what exactly, but I suspect ⁓ that we were dealing with something along those lines that we think we know all of the forms and the wrenches that Satan has used to throw into creation. I don't think that we do. You know what I mean? I just think that there's a lot more going on out there than we realize. What do you think, Kerry? It's kind of interesting, right? Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Okay. It's kind of interesting. I like the Super Bowl joke. thinking, some people, was gonna say, and some of those people wouldn't even like really register or care unless their landing impacted a play. They'd like, this is just part of the show. That's funny. Todd: Exactly. Do you think that we should last week we premiered a new segment called baby's blood or no baby's blood and And our our subject was none other than mr. John Travolta He have grease fame It's not looking very greasy these days, but Here he is. So this this Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Yes. Mm-hmm. I love Grease. Such a fan. Todd: This kerfuffle kind of got out there and John Travolta is actually responding to the segment we had ⁓ Let's hear what he let's hear what John has to say did he so guys our segment was Babies blood has John Travolta been consuming Adrenochrome via baby's blood to reverse age is the question it appears that that might be the case Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, does he mention us by name? Mm-hmm. And Todd showed a photo from not so long ago to currently, and he just, looks airbrushed and perfect right now. Todd: Right now you see him airbrushed on here. Probably there's a reptilian hiding under there, but we will see. We will see. homage. Yo, It's Carrie: I will have vividness of it. That sounds like a Christian science, or not Christian science, I'm sorry. That sounds like a Scientology line. Todd: He'll have vividness of it. Yeah, it does. What do you, I don't know, maybe after days. It never identified her in the clip. Hold on, let me make sure that's true. Yeah, it never identified her in the clip. So I thought it might be, but I don't know. What do you think? Did that shed any light? Have we made any progress? Is there any more clarity, baby's blood or not baby's blood? When the subject tells you it's just a beret. Yo, It's Carrie: Is that his daughter? Okay. I'm looking it up. Todd: How did we get so confused? How did a beret, a cream beret turn into baby's blood? That's what I thought. Yo, It's Carrie: Wait, why was he responding to how does he look so young? Todd: Yeah, and he, why is just, he just went for a different look and he, he looked up pictures of directors and he saw that they looked like they were 40 years younger than him. And he thought, well, adrenochrome here I come. Where's my smoothie honey. Get me my baby's blood smoothie. ⁓ Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, I don't feel like that explains. Eww! A smoothie! Yes, that is his daughter. That's his daughter. Todd: Okay. Did you... Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. That is, that's really funny. So that's interesting. Playing the part, playing the part of a director. He's just, you know, sometimes. Todd: clean the park all the directors in Hollywood drink baby's blood I get it, it makes sense. Yo, It's Carrie: you Todd: By the way, I do want to mention that ⁓ Tulsi Gabbard is residing. Did you know that? You saw that? Yeah. Her husband, who's quite a bit younger than her actually, Tulsi is something of a cougar. Her husband has been ⁓ diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. I don't know exactly what. I don't know that it's been released. Yo, It's Carrie: in. No. As she should be. Dang it. Todd: The statement was that he's got some serious challenges and ⁓ Trump came out with a statement praising her, all the work that she's done, the conspiracy with Obama, everything else. There are people out there saying, ⁓ she's just getting fired. This is all smoke screen. It's an awful big smoke screen if your husband has cancer. I'm not of the opinion. I love Tulsi. Sad to see her go. I understand if she's got family things, why that's going on. Yo, It's Carrie: I don't know. Right. I did too. Yeah. I hope, ⁓ I hope he does well. I hope his prognosis is optimistic and might just be a tough, tough road. I love her. I love Tulsi Gabbard and I hope, ⁓ well, I'm relieved to hear that Trump's saying something good because he would, he'd say, like he'd, he would throw her under the bus. Right. Right. Glad to hear that. Todd: I hope so too, I don't know anything about it, but... all we have nothing to do in but glowing stuff say about her there was no didn't it didn't seem like there's any bad blood at all i do think there's some bad blood within the administration and and that there was conflicts there but you know that's let's be fair a lot of what we see a lot of what we hear that comes out of their work its game of thrones stuff that's just what it is Yo, It's Carrie: Right. Do we know before you go to this, I can't wait. I've seen this. ⁓ Do you, have they said who's going to replace her? Is there any speculation? Okay. ⁓ Todd: I have not heard, no. I don't know if they've said, I haven't seen it, if they did. But I'm going to miss Tulsi. I hope that her husband makes a speedy recovery in a year or two, and that she can get back and be Wonder Woman, help America again. So I'm a big fan of Tulsi. So I can't wait to see her back in the saddle. And her husband helped me again, I hope. So you do know what this is. You know what I'm about to play? Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. ⁓ All right. Yes. I hope so too. Right, I hope so. Yeah, I hope so too. Good luck. I do. I do. Todd: we've got this guys is as a fresh prints of bell air and what this is is is one of the latest spencer pratt ads from l a and spencer pratt's we've uh... we talked about him last week a week before i can't remember which and uh... he is running he was uh... reality television star of sorts right is on the hills is married to heidi montag who was also reality television i'm not a big reality tv guy so i i Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. I guess so. I didn't know about him until he was running for office. Todd: I didn't either, but his home got burned down in the Palisades. And Karen Bass, who you may remember, is the elderly black lady mayor of LA who ran to Ghana as soon as fire started and did everything she could to burn down parts of LA. And that's both literally and figuratively because Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah. Ineffectual, Mayor. Todd: I mean the homeless problem, everything else. And she had the temerity to come out because Spencer Pratt and his family are living in some hotel somewhere because well, Karen Bass burned their house down. And so he had an Airstream trailer out there where he still spends time on his property. But it's understandable that with the, the, the views and you know, the fame he's getting from running that people are, know, you can't, gotta, you gotta protect your family. So they're not just living in an Airstream where anybody can bother them, you know. Yo, It's Carrie: Right? Okay. Todd: They gotta have security and whatever else. so Spencer Pratt criticized him as being wealthy, out of touch, whatever it is. And he put out the, he has had the most banger videos, ads that come out. So this one is a take on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, which was, speaking of Will Smith, he seems to pop up everywhere. Speaking of Will Smith, it was the original Will Smith show back in the day. So this guys, if you're watching, you'll hear it either way. Yo, It's Carrie: She criticized him for that. ⁓ okay. I know. Todd: It's Spencer Pratt, one of his latest ads. What do got, Kerry? Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, if you're driving right now, you just need to pull over into the next parking lot. Just watch this. What is it? It's a minute. It's so you got to pull over and watch this. Don't watch this and drive. It's so great. so great. Todd: Here's Spencer Pratt. Here's Spencer Pratt. the the Yo, It's Carrie: So good. So good. ⁓ ⁓ The devastation there is like so sad. The devastation there is like so sad. Todd: Yeah Yeah in his airstream. in his airstream. Yo, It's Carrie: Brilliant. Brilliant. Todd: Spencer Pratt is, ⁓ it's impressive. Spencer Pratt is, ⁓ it's impressive. He's, he's, all his AI ads. It's just, he's, he's, he's proven to have really good instincts out there. Yo, It's Carrie: They're really fun. And there's, there is a trend. I sent you one, but I've seen many. There are videos out there everywhere of people all over the country saying they want to go and vote for him. And they're like, what are they going to do in California? ID me. Todd: Yeah. All of sudden, that'd be like Michigan. Do you know that we had in Michigan, we had 800,000 in the 2024 election, we had 800,000 more votes than registered voters in Michigan. I mean, who's counting? Who could keep track of such things? Yo, It's Carrie: It's so cute. 800,000? Wow. And what was that for? For a president? For... ⁓ okay. Todd: Yes, yeah, the national election. ⁓ Yo, It's Carrie: Wow. People were really, really excited about Kamala Harris. Todd: What is this? You know, we could go out on that guys. We're just about done anyway. It's Memorial Day weekend. Carrie and I gotta get on with our lives. You know, look at Carrie's got her bacon. The whole world is. Yo, It's Carrie: Thank you. Our sponsor today is Patrick Smith's Bacon. Thank you, Patrick. Todd: Patrick Smith's bacon. Who is this about Southern Dictates? Okay. Let's just, this is, I wanna play this quick. This is Maria Bartiromo from Fox News and she's got Todd Blanchard who's acting attorney general. And she's asking him about the conspiracy case against Obama and all those and know, for Russia gate and yeah, and then beyond that operation. Yo, It's Carrie: That's our problem. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Okay, about the Russia. Todd: Crossfire, Hurricane, all of them. All the stuff. Yo, It's Carrie: Okay. Todd: Hold on, I gotta adjust the volume. These clips are all over the place. One of the... Here's Todd again. Yo, It's Carrie: I love her. Todd: She won't let him off the hook. She's right. He says it's coming. Maybe he's right. I don't know. I don't know. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. How do you think it will be received? Let's say one day they just go and charge Obama, charge Hillary Clinton and go down the line. How do you think people are going to react to that? Because I just think people who hate Trump aren't going to believe that this is true. Todd: That's probably true. ⁓ There are people who think it'll be something of a civil, well, that we're in the midst of a cold civil war right now and that that will heat things up. You'd have riots and you'd have, and all of that is probably true. ⁓ It's true that, it may be true that the remedy to tearing America apart may be more tearing of America apart. That's what happened eventually with the civil war and then there was healing afterwards. ⁓ Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Ugh. Todd: So I don't know, but I do know this. doesn't, I am of the opinion it doesn't matter these things. You can't just sweep them under the rug. It's too much corruption and it's too much. I don't like the idea of being a banana Republic where you, know, whatever, but I, yeah, I don't know. I think it needs to be done regardless. You know what I mean? I just, don't, it sucks. Yeah. Yo, It's Carrie: Right, Mm-hmm. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yep. It's a tough thing. Todd: It sucks, but I wish they hadn't done it. Yo, It's Carrie: does suck. guess I just want, I want it to be so clear. Right. Well, of course, right. We just wish that hadn't happened at all. But I just want it to be so, so clear that even if people are really sad, like, ⁓ man, I trusted him. I loved Obama. I know people who loved Obama. I want it to be so clear that they're just like, wow, that sucks. But accept it, even if they're devastated by it. Todd: Yeah. Right. I agree. I wonder if in the end Obama won't walk just because he was president. I don't know. We'll see. We'll see what happens. But they got to get some high up people. I don't know who. They got to get some scalps. They need to go like David when he was going to marry. Saul was giving him his oldest daughter and he had to go off and get the skins of like hundred Philistines, the four skins. That's what we need. We need Todd Blanch to be our king David. Yo, It's Carrie: Sure. there. Hey, speaking of that, go, where is it? What's your website? And get insurrection. That's world on it. And go get insurrection. Indeed. Todd: toddsworld.net Yeah, there's some scalps there. You know what, we've talked on and off. I know we're getting a little late, but I wanted to play this and I think I'll forget about it if I don't. It's a little longer clip. You know who Jeremy Boring is? He was one of the original founders of the Daily Wire with Ben Shapiro. was CEO of the Daily Wire for a while. You probably recognize him when you see him. And we have, even on this show, ⁓ given the boomers a little bit of a, maybe, I don't know if it's a bad rap, but. Yo, It's Carrie: think so. Okay. Okay. Todd: but the boomers have taken some some hits in general right especially lately ⁓ not necessarily on the show but just in general people looking at the boomers and and you know the boomer is it now people call people boomers and this that the other and ⁓ Yo, It's Carrie: Okay, right. Right. The latest slang term I heard is doomer boomers. Yeah, just ones who like think like, you know, that the world's coming to an end and Todd: Doomer Boomer, what's that mean? because they've lived their whole lives and we went to the moon and now suddenly they're finding out about grays and Nordics and insectoids. Maybe the boomer mind can handle it. But my point is that Jeremy Boring in this clip I think provides a really good balanced take on boomers and on everything that they have. There was failures, yeah. Yo, It's Carrie: I guess. ⁓ boy. Okay, cool. Todd: but there's so many successes of that generation. And I just thought, I think this is pretty good. I'd like to play this. So we'll see how much we get through. But let's listen. Jeremy Boring, formerly of the Daily Wire, he's on the Blaze. I'm not sure what show. Yo, It's Carrie: Right? cool. Whoa. Todd: put things into perspective. That's a good line. Yo, It's Carrie: It is. Nice. Todd: That's a good line. Yo, It's Carrie: Wow. Todd: Do know what he's talking about? You do. Okay. Guys, he doesn't quite finish it, but it's that it's the good times make weak men who weak men make bad times and bad times make strong men who then make good times. Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah. Strongman, right? I know it's, it is a really interesting concept. Todd: What do you think? That's enough of Jeremy. I've had all I can take. This is the Todd's world, not Jeremy's world. Damn it. Yo, It's Carrie: So I actually, I like everything you were saying and I think it's really, I think it's important to remember that. And I don't feel generally critical of boomers at all. Todd: I don't either, really. Yo, It's Carrie: I don't, and I know it was like a joke for a little while, but I thought that was just young people kind of saying like, ⁓ well, you're getting old. Like, and not that that's okay, but I didn't think that it really spoke to like their mistakes in our, in our history or anything like that. Maybe, maybe more intelligent people using that term said that, but I, I thought that was really cool. I, I really like what he said about, you can't have a country. Todd: Right. Yeah. Yo, It's Carrie: without the people who have given it to you. You can't have a country without the people who have given it to you. It was beautiful. But yeah, go ahead. What do you think? Todd: Yeah. I think he's right. don't, um, my parents have been gone a long time. My parents, of course, would have been boomers. Um, but yeah, I, I think I look at our resident boomers. think the, the resident Todd's world boomers, we got pastor Darrell who's out there and aunt Nancy, your mom, and, and a lot of others, actually we've got a big, a lot of boomers who listen and I think that they're great. I enjoy the advice. I enjoy all of it. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Right. Todd: And you know, life's different. They had different challenges. Sure, there was failures along the way. But like Jeremy Boring says, there's going be failures along our way. We have been already and we'll be more. that's, you know what I mean? And he is right that there's a, how do you honor the generation that goes before? You know what I mean? The greatest generations pretty much faded away. They're pretty much gone. And so the boomers now are the next generation that's fading away. That's dying off. I mean, that's what generations do. Yo, It's Carrie: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. I know, sadly. Todd: They, you know, we all get older and then we'll be after that. And you look back. Yo, It's Carrie: Do you think that... ⁓ go ahead. Finish. Sorry. Todd: One of my favorite songs, this was played at my mom's funeral, Trevor actually played it on the piano, ⁓ was Find Us Faithful by Steve Green. And the line in that song is, may all who come behind us find us faithful. As they look through all that we've left behind, may they find the road that leads them to God. And yeah, I think that that's it. And sometimes the answer will be yes on the boomer, sometimes it'll be no, but that's true of any generation. Yo, It's Carrie: ⁓ you Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Todd: And he's right that, I mean, the boomer said Billy Graham. You know what I mean? You had some pretty amazing things that have happened. And listen, I'm anti-institutional, we all know. The broad anti-institutional streak in me. But I don't want that to come off like it's anti the older generations, because that isn't really, it's just, think the issues I have with institutions span generations. Do you know what I mean? Yo, It's Carrie: Right, right. That's cool. It's beautiful. Right, right. ⁓ Todd, do you do you think that conservatives are more respectful of our history than ⁓ liberal people? Todd: Yes. I do, think it's, I don't even think that's a close, I mean, I feel like Libs would say that. Yeah, they don't like them at all. Yo, It's Carrie: Right, I've never really Right. I've just never thought of it that way. And as he spoke about that, like honoring our past and even like where you can recognize mistakes and flaws, but you don't like, you can't just dismiss the whole thing. And it made me think of them tearing down monuments. Todd: No. 100 % it's the same exact, it's a symptom of the same disease. Maybe a further symptom, it may be more well developed disease by that point. Yo, It's Carrie: Yep. It's just really interesting. Right, yeah, that's kind of manifesting into action instead of just. Right. Todd: starts with disrespecting, not honoring your parents. Not honoring your parents turns into not honoring an entire, all the generations that have gone before. So all of the ancient wisdom, the older wisdom, things like that, we don't need that anymore because we have AI. Or whatever, you know what mean? When AI's curating all that old wisdom, I mean, where do think it's getting its answers? So. Yo, It's Carrie: Right. Mm-hmm. Right. ⁓ gosh. Todd: I thought that was good. I'll give you this last, this will be our last Memorial Day topic. The last little thing is a quote by Anne Rand, one of Carrie's favorite authors. Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah, that's interesting. Okay. ⁓ Ha ha ha! Todd: And I think this ties in with the boomer thing good. Anne Rand said quote, capitalism was the only system in history where wealth was not acquired by looting, but by production. Not by force, but by trade. The only system that stood for man's right to his own mind, to his work, to his life, to his happiness, to himself. Thought it was really good. Good man. She was brief there. She needed to apply a little of that to have her shrugged. Again, half as long. I don't know. Yo, It's Carrie: Yeah. She was brief. Was that an ⁓ AI summary of like a six page? That's funny. Yeah, that's good. Todd: Beautiful listen guys go to Todd's world net.
