- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Ted Cruz and the Week in
- 0:04Speaker 2: Review Ben Ferguson with you. And these are the major
- 0:06Speaker 2: stories that we chatted about this week that you may
- 0:09Speaker 2: have missed. First up, I can't believe I'm saying this,
- 0:12Speaker 2: but there was an actual article in a major newspaper
- 0:16Speaker 2: that said that Joe Biden was an amazing leader, that
- 0:19Speaker 2: he did incredible things. Why on earth would you be
- 0:22Speaker 2: writing that article when the majority of Americans say that
- 0:25Speaker 2: his presidency was a disaster. Will break down the Biden
- 0:27Speaker 2: failures for you in a moment. Also, there was a
- 0:31Speaker 2: big prediction that Joe Biden was going to pardon or
- 0:35Speaker 2: give clemency to people that were hardcore criminals, including those
- 0:39Speaker 2: on death row. Well, that is exactly what he did,
- 0:42Speaker 2: and could it be because he's about to pardon many
- 0:45Speaker 2: others around the Biden crime family. And finally, there's another
- 0:50Speaker 2: big question that Democrats are dealing with right now, and
- 0:53Speaker 2: that is should they have kicked Joe Biden to the
- 0:56Speaker 2: curb sooner than they did and would that have changed
- 0:59Speaker 2: the outcome of the election, meaning Donald Trump wouldn't have
- 1:03Speaker 2: been elected president. Will break that down as now they're
- 1:06Speaker 2: trying to figure out what they're going to do next.
- 1:09Speaker 2: It's the Weekend Review and it starts right now.
- 1:12Speaker 3: So let's move to the Washington Post. And I'm going
- 1:15Speaker 3: to do something unusual on this podcast. So I read
- 1:18Speaker 3: this article and my head exploded, and I texted you
- 1:24Speaker 3: and said, this is the most absurd, self satirizing article
- 1:28Speaker 3: I've ever seen. So I just want to go through
- 1:30Speaker 3: it literally, line by line. This is a major story
- 1:34Speaker 3: in the Washington Post banner headline on Drudge and it
- 1:39Speaker 3: is entitled We're just going to go through sentence by sentence.
- 1:42Speaker 3: It's entitled how Biden leads Joe Biden's lonely battle to
- 1:46Speaker 3: sell his vision of American democracy. In his presidency's final chapter,
- 1:51Speaker 3: Biden has mused about whether he should have handled some
- 1:54Speaker 3: decisions differently. And the guy who wrote this is a
- 1:57Speaker 3: guy named Tyler Pager. We're going to come back to
- 1:59Speaker 3: him later. So let's start earlier this year, Representative James E.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Cliburn met President Joe Biden at the White House to
- 2:06Speaker 3: deliver a stern message Biden had to find a way
- 2:09Speaker 3: to revitalize his flagging campaign. Clyburn, who had been pivotal
- 2:13Speaker 3: to Biden's twenty twenty, Victory also made a confession about
- 2:16Speaker 3: his own long standing belief that substance is more important
- 2:19Speaker 3: than style and politics.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Quote.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I've come to the conclusion in recent days that I'm
- 2:23Speaker 3: wrong about that, The South Carolina Democrat eighty four remembers,
- 2:26Speaker 3: telling Biden the new environment that we currently live in,
- 2:30Speaker 3: style seems to carry the day more than substance. Your style,
- 2:34Speaker 3: he told the President, does not lend itself well to
- 2:37Speaker 3: the environment we're currently in. Clyburne's conclusion, which was shared
- 2:41Speaker 3: by anxious Democrats in the months before the president ended
- 2:44Speaker 3: his reelection bid, undermined brought Biden's theory of presidential leadership.
- 2:49Speaker 3: After Donald Trump's assent, Biden believed that he just needed
- 2:53Speaker 3: to show Americans that traditional democracy still worked by listening,
- 2:58Speaker 3: but two experts working with Republicans passing popular policies, and
- 3:04Speaker 3: voters would rally around him. Right, Let's stop there. Okay,
- 3:08Speaker 3: so so far every word of this article. If this
- 3:12Speaker 3: was written by the Biden press office, it would not
- 3:14Speaker 3: be any different. And this entire article is hagiography. This
- 3:18Speaker 3: entire article is not journalism. It is not only trying
- 3:22Speaker 3: to praise breathlessly as we're going to go through Joe
- 3:26Speaker 3: Biden and cast him as a mighty titan. But it
- 3:31Speaker 3: is profoundly dishonest. So it starts with the frame that
- 3:36Speaker 3: Biden's great success is on substance, not style. And the
- 3:39Speaker 3: obvious implication of which we're going to get more is
- 3:42Speaker 3: that all Trump has his style. There's no substance. That's
- 3:45Speaker 3: the obvious implication. Let's take this last sentence. After Donald
- 3:49Speaker 3: Trump's assent, Biden believed he just needed to show Americans
- 3:53Speaker 3: that traditional democracy still worked. We're going to get more
- 3:56Speaker 3: into democracy a second by listening to experts, working with
- 4:01Speaker 3: Republicans and passing popular policies. Alright, what experts did he
- 4:06Speaker 3: listen to? He did not work with Republicans. Every damned
- 4:08Speaker 3: thing he passed he rammed through on a vicious party
- 4:11Speaker 3: line vote. He used budget reconciliation over and over again
- 4:15Speaker 3: with no Republicans and passing popular policies. Nobody helped Donald
- 4:21Speaker 3: Trump get elected more than Joseph Robinette Biden Junior because
- 4:24Speaker 3: his policies were so incredibly unpopular.
- 4:28Speaker 4: All right, let's keep going back to the article quote.
- 4:33Speaker 3: He succeeded in phase one of his plan. Did he
- 4:35Speaker 3: now enacting legislation, much of it bipartisan, to reshape the
- 4:40Speaker 3: nation's infrastructure, revive the semiconductor industry, and fight climate change.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Let's be clear, the climate change. The Inflation Reduction Act
- 4:48Speaker 3: was a straight party line vote rammed through on reconciliation,
- 4:52Speaker 3: but Phase two never happened. The truth of Biden's presidency
- 4:57Speaker 3: is that he has failed in what, by his own count,
- 5:00Speaker 3: his most important mission, making Trump's presidency seem like an aberration.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Quote.
- 5:07Speaker 3: He governed through traditional processes and institutions, said Julians E. Zellezer,
- 5:13Speaker 3: a moron presidential historian at Princeton University. It doesn't say moron,
- 5:17Speaker 3: but you're going to see that everything this guy says.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I know he's sadly a professor at Miyama Mater. He's
- 5:22Speaker 3: a complete moron. Let's start with the traditional processes and institutions.
- 5:28Speaker 3: There's nothing traditional about weaponizing the federal government to go
- 5:33Speaker 3: after your opponents. There's nothing traditional about prosecuting and indicting
- 5:37Speaker 3: the former president over and over and over again. There's
- 5:40Speaker 3: nothing traditional and using the institutions about opening the border
- 5:45Speaker 3: and having an invasion of our country. But here the
- 5:48Speaker 3: good Princeton professor quote. It didn't change the picture where
- 5:52Speaker 3: he started. This anger in the electorate towards institution, This
- 5:56Speaker 3: support for a pretty radical conservative vision that Trump embodied,
- 6:01Speaker 3: it didn't do anything to end the very intense polarization
- 6:05Speaker 3: that exists in this country now. The idea that Trump
- 6:08Speaker 3: is a radical conservative is a bizarre idea. Trump ran
- 6:12Speaker 3: on securing the border, bringing down inflation, standing with our friends,
- 6:16Speaker 3: and defeating our enemies. That is very hard to characterize
- 6:20Speaker 3: as a quote radical conservative vision. But hey, the Princeton
- 6:23Speaker 3: professor says it, and the Washington Post breathlessly reports it.
- 6:28Speaker 3: We're gonna go on here, but give me your thoughts
- 6:30Speaker 3: so far, then we'll go back to the article.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I'm not surprised that this is how they want to
- 6:36Speaker 2: just rewrite history part of this and just be be
- 6:39Speaker 2: so delusional.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I am a little bit.
- 6:41Speaker 4: It gets worse.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm a little bit shocked though.
- 6:46Speaker 2: If they, like, you know how you're supposed to like
- 6:48Speaker 2: proofread before you print, If you're reading what you just
- 6:52Speaker 2: wrote that you just read, I would think there would
- 6:56Speaker 2: be a moment where you might be like, yeah, I
- 6:58Speaker 2: don't know if this needs to see the light of day.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yet here it is. They put it out there, all.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Right, let's keep going because it gets much much worse.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Previous articles in this series examined the pillars, Oh they're
- 7:10Speaker 3: so strong. The pillars the pillars of Biden's leadership, how
- 7:13Speaker 3: he absorbs information, how he makes decisions, how he communicates
- 7:17Speaker 3: with Americans. They showed that Biden, even at the peak
- 7:21Speaker 3: of his glorious magnificent power, doesn't say glorious magnificent, but
- 7:24Speaker 3: it's just implied, struggled mightily to communicate his decisions and vision.
- 7:29Speaker 3: This article, based on interviews with more than two thousand
- 7:32Speaker 3: people close to Biden, reveals the ways in which his
- 7:35Speaker 3: theory of how to succeed in an era of American
- 7:37Speaker 3: politics dominated by Trump fell apart in the final phase
- 7:41Speaker 3: of his presidency, and how he's been publicly and privately
- 7:44Speaker 3: rethinking whether he should have handled some decisions differently, even
- 7:48Speaker 3: some of his closest advisers without faulting. Biden conceded recently
- 7:52Speaker 3: that his style of governing did not always mesh with
- 7:55Speaker 3: today's politics.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Quote.
- 7:58Speaker 3: The president has been operating on time horizon measured in decades,
- 8:03Speaker 3: while the political cycle is measured in four years. Jake Sullivan,
- 8:08Speaker 3: Biden's national security advisor said, with his lips planted firmly
- 8:12Speaker 3: on Biden's rear end that last piece was my come Like,
- 8:16Speaker 3: I want to go back and listen to that sentence again.
- 8:20Speaker 3: The president has been operating on a time horizon measured
- 8:24Speaker 3: in decades, while the political cycle is measured in four years. Now,
- 8:30Speaker 3: look kudos to the Biden White House for just having
- 8:33Speaker 3: the kutzpah to say, oh, Biden's presidency would be hysteric,
- 8:38Speaker 3: and you know, you really have to measure decades. Twelve
- 8:40Speaker 3: million people invading this country. Four years is too short
- 8:43Speaker 3: to measure it. We're going to screw up this country
- 8:45Speaker 3: for decades, you know, undermining our allies, causing two wars,
- 8:51Speaker 3: a war in Ukraine and a war in Gaza. Like,
- 8:54Speaker 3: you're right, the harm from Biden will last decades. But
- 9:00Speaker 3: that's their entire spend. Well, yes, everything Biden did was
- 9:04Speaker 3: profoundly unpopular because all of his policies failed. But he's
- 9:09Speaker 3: really playing the long game. You foolish people don't understand this.
- 9:15Speaker 3: This misery is good for you. All right, Let's let's
- 9:18Speaker 3: keep going. Sullivan added that Biden's accomplishments, by their nature,
- 9:23Speaker 3: will take a long time to bear fruit quote. How
- 9:27Speaker 3: to govern at this moment to set the US up
- 9:29Speaker 3: for long term success has one answer, and how to
- 9:32Speaker 3: deal with midterm and presidential elections in the very short
- 9:35Speaker 3: term might have a different answer. He said, the President
- 9:38Speaker 3: went with doing things that really put America in a
- 9:42Speaker 3: strong position. Ben, what the hell have they done to
- 9:46Speaker 3: put America in a strong position in every part of
- 9:49Speaker 3: the world. America is weaker today than when Joe Biden
- 9:53Speaker 3: entered the White House. Like, this is absurd. And I
- 9:58Speaker 3: got to say the absurd thing We're going go back
- 10:00Speaker 3: to this in a minute, is the Washington Post just
- 10:03Speaker 3: publishes this drivel like its news that there's not a
- 10:08Speaker 3: moment of reflection, there's not a moment of facts that
- 10:13Speaker 3: there's not a moment of reality, And it's I mean,
- 10:20Speaker 3: how do you react to that that, oh, he's playing
- 10:24Speaker 3: the long game.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I think there's two things here.
- 10:29Speaker 2: One there's a part of me that's like I can't
- 10:31Speaker 2: believe it, and then there's another part of me it's
- 10:33Speaker 2: like good because if you don't learn from your losses,
- 10:37Speaker 2: then you're going to repeat the same mistakes that you
- 10:40Speaker 2: just made. And I think the Democratic Party learned nothing
- 10:43Speaker 2: from November nothing from losing the popular vote, nothing from
- 10:47Speaker 2: the resurrection of Donald Trump from two thy to twenty
- 10:50Speaker 2: twenty four, nothing from weaponizing the government, nothing from overspending
- 10:54Speaker 2: and no accountability, and honestly nothing they've learned nothing from
- 10:58Speaker 2: having a president that quickly was inated. So part of
- 11:01Speaker 2: me is like, good, yeah, keep writing these types of
- 11:04Speaker 2: articles because it's gonna help conservatives like you and I
- 11:08Speaker 2: be able to be way more successful in getting this
- 11:11Speaker 2: country back on track.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Well, the Ben the Post just reported that he absorbed
- 11:16Speaker 3: information like you know, some some sort of nobel you know, scientists,
- 11:21Speaker 3: Like like, just all right, let's let's go back. As
- 11:24Speaker 3: his presidency and his fifty year political career wind down
- 11:28Speaker 3: far faster than he wanted, Biden has taken to acknowledging
- 11:31Speaker 3: some strategic mistakes, both big and small. Many of those
- 11:34Speaker 3: missteps resulted from his determination to restore the age old
- 11:37Speaker 3: rules of the American presidency after Trump's term, a determination
- 11:42Speaker 3: that many of his supporters in retrospect consider a politically
- 11:46Speaker 3: fatal error. All right, so what are the age old
- 11:49Speaker 3: rules of the American presidency that he returned to earlier
- 11:53Speaker 3: this month and a speech on his economic legacy, Biden
- 11:57Speaker 3: admitted he was stupid for not putting his own aim
- 12:00Speaker 3: on the pandemic relief checks his administration sent out in
- 12:02Speaker 3: twenty twenty one. Yeah, that really was the problem. He
- 12:06Speaker 3: just didn't sign the checks. Clearly Kamala would have won
- 12:09Speaker 3: if Biden had just signed those checks. That that was
- 12:12Speaker 3: the pivotal issue.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Damn it.
- 12:14Speaker 3: I didn't see Joe Biden's name on those checks, so
- 12:17Speaker 3: forget it. But hey, Trump, by contrast, made a point
- 12:21Speaker 3: of signing his own relief checks in twenty twenty, and
- 12:23Speaker 3: Biden suggested that Trump got more credit for the economic
- 12:26Speaker 3: recovery because of it.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Balderdash.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Biden acknowledged that he had quote screwed up. It is
- 12:32Speaker 3: June twenty seventh debate against Trump. You think as he
- 12:35Speaker 3: struggled to put together sentences and defend his policies as
- 12:38Speaker 3: his rivals held forth with a series of falsehoods. Evil
- 12:42Speaker 3: liar who I hate named Donald Trump that is not there,
- 12:45Speaker 3: it's just implied and called him a criminal. He does
- 12:48Speaker 3: not regret participating in the debate. Justice performance that night.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Now at this point, there's a breakout quote, and you
- 12:56Speaker 3: know what the breakout quote is. It's Jake Sullivan saying
- 12:59Speaker 3: the president is operating on a time horizon measured in decades,
- 13:02Speaker 3: while the political cycle is measured in four years. So
- 13:05Speaker 3: if you missed the central political spin from the White House,
- 13:09Speaker 3: then well that's your problem.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Let's keep going.
- 13:13Speaker 3: He is also amused on changes in the media, arguing
- 13:16Speaker 3: that he did not get enough credit for his accomplishments,
- 13:18Speaker 3: especially on the economy, but inciting examples like Richard M.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Nixon's nineteen sixty debate against John F. Kennedy, Biden has
- 13:25Speaker 3: suggested that, like Nixon, he has struggled to adjust to
- 13:28Speaker 3: a new media landscape. We pick what news we want
- 13:31Speaker 3: to hear. It's a totally different deal, Biden said in
- 13:33Speaker 3: a podcast interview this month. We've got to figure out
- 13:35Speaker 3: how we deal with this significant technological change. If Nixon
- 13:39Speaker 3: was more accustomed to television, he wouldn't have perspired so much,
- 13:42Speaker 3: and he would be president when he beat Kennedy. I
- 13:45Speaker 3: know that sounds silly, but think of the changes taking place.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Where do you go what is true? We have no
- 13:49Speaker 3: evidence anymore. I'm not sure how that gets resolved. The
- 13:52Speaker 3: president and his aides have acknowledged that they struggled to communicate.
- 13:56Speaker 3: See that's the whole problem. The record was phenomenal. They
- 13:59Speaker 3: just failed to commune, struggle to communicate about the administration's
- 14:03Speaker 3: efforts to lift the country out of the pandemic. Frustrated
- 14:06Speaker 3: that even as the United States fared better than other countries,
- 14:09Speaker 3: Americans did not feel the impact psychologically, You idiots, you're
- 14:13Speaker 3: doing great. Why are you so dumb that you don't
- 14:16Speaker 3: realize it? And now here's all right?
- 14:19Speaker 4: Now? Remember so so far, there's.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Two main themes that the post is laid out. Number one,
- 14:25Speaker 3: genius Biden is playing.
- 14:27Speaker 4: For the history books for the decades rather.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Than the short term political cycles, so don't blame him
- 14:33Speaker 3: for the disasters of his policies. But number two, that
- 14:37Speaker 3: he wanted to restore the norms of the presidency and
- 14:40Speaker 3: the norms of democracy.
- 14:43Speaker 4: So this next paragraph is going to blow your mind.
- 14:47Speaker 3: In private, Biden has also said he should have picked
- 14:51Speaker 3: someone other than Merrick Garland as Attorney General.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Well, no kidding.
- 14:57Speaker 3: He was the most partisan and political attorney general in
- 14:59Speaker 3: history and a discret the Department of Justice. But no, no, no, no, no,
- 15:02Speaker 3: that's not Biden's complaint. Biden quote complaining about the Justice
- 15:08Speaker 3: Department's slowness under Garland in prosecuting Trump and its aggressiveness
- 15:16Speaker 3: in prosecuting Biden's son Hunter, according to people familiar with
- 15:20Speaker 3: his comments, so understand this great titan restoring the norms
- 15:26Speaker 3: of the White House. His DOJ is the first Department
- 15:29Speaker 3: of Justice to indict and prosecute a former president and
- 15:34Speaker 3: a leading candidate for president who later got elected president
- 15:37Speaker 3: in the history of our country. It's never been done.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Under Biden, they did it twice. They absolutely weaponized the
- 15:44Speaker 3: DOJ to go after his opponents over and over and
- 15:46Speaker 3: over again. They weaponized the FBI. And his complaint is,
- 15:50Speaker 3: damn it, they didn't do enough. They should have been
- 15:52Speaker 3: more vigorous. They should have indicted him more. They should
- 15:55Speaker 3: have indicted him faster. We should have we should have
- 15:58Speaker 3: attacked him from day one. I mean, and it is.
- 16:01Speaker 3: And by the way, everything I'm saying, there's not a
- 16:05Speaker 3: word of that in this article that they don't acknowledge.
- 16:08Speaker 3: No other DJ has indicted a president. They just report
- 16:13Speaker 3: like a blinking, doe eyed four year old. Well, his
- 16:18Speaker 3: complaint was Biden didn't move fast. On the other thing,
- 16:22Speaker 3: he was too aggressive and prosecuting Biden's son. Now, mind you,
- 16:26Speaker 3: the Biden DOJ went to a court and tried to
- 16:31Speaker 3: enter a sweetheart deal that Biden got a slap on
- 16:33Speaker 3: the wrist in no jail time, and it was so
- 16:36Speaker 3: egregious that the judge threw it out only after public scrutiny,
- 16:40Speaker 3: including this podcast, which shined a great deal of light
- 16:43Speaker 3: on it. But he still says that's too much to
- 16:46Speaker 3: hold Hunter accountable. And by the way, the DOJ also
- 16:49Speaker 3: bent over backwards to protect Joe Biden. It that paragraph
- 16:56Speaker 3: may be the most astonishing paragraph of this entire article.
- 17:01Speaker 2: You look at this article and I think there's three
- 17:03Speaker 2: different points that I want to dive into with you. One,
- 17:08Speaker 2: what was the real purpose of writing it? I'm still trying.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I mean, I get the whole rewriting of history, but
- 17:13Speaker 2: it's so extreme that I don't even think many on
- 17:17Speaker 2: the left could take this seriously.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Or am I wrong? So let's start with that.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Well, I think they have the audacity to believe that
- 17:26Speaker 3: that that they can, that they are that the newspaper,
- 17:30Speaker 3: the Washington Post, is the first draft of history. And
- 17:34Speaker 3: as said that this is not journalism, that this is hagiography.
- 17:39Speaker 3: The article continues, We've only done about the first third
- 17:41Speaker 3: of it, I'm not going to continue reading the rest
- 17:43Speaker 3: of it. It goes on to say how Biden modeled
- 17:46Speaker 3: himself after FDR and and and I am just going
- 17:49Speaker 3: to skip skip to the end because the end is
- 17:51Speaker 3: every bit as absurd as the earlier parts we read.
- 17:54Speaker 3: So here's the end of the article. To show that
- 17:57Speaker 3: he respects the peaceful transfer of power, Biden is welcoming Trump,
- 18:02Speaker 3: who openly challenged that transition. Biden has repeatedly directed his
- 18:07Speaker 3: aides to do all they can to help Trump assume
- 18:10Speaker 3: the presidency after years of calling Trump unfit for high office. Now,
- 18:16Speaker 3: mind you, every day in the White House, Biden is
- 18:19Speaker 3: doing everything he can to frustrate Trump coming in.
- 18:22Speaker 4: So what is he doing? Number One? He pardoned Hunter.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Biden, which we predicted on this podcast, because he does
- 18:28Speaker 3: not want any accountability for the rampant lawlessness of his
- 18:32Speaker 3: son and the corruption of selling access to himself Joe Biden.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Number two, he pardoned every single federal death row inmate
- 18:43Speaker 3: except for the three most notorious, So of the forty,
- 18:46Speaker 3: he parted thirty seven of them. Again, we predicted that
- 18:50Speaker 3: it was absolutely brazen. Why because he knew Trump was
- 18:53Speaker 3: going to actually carry out the law, and so he's
- 18:55Speaker 3: trying to frustrate that. Number three, he's selling off the
- 18:58Speaker 3: border wall for five five dollars a parcel because he
- 19:02Speaker 3: doesn't want Trump to build the wall. Number four, he's
- 19:05Speaker 3: granting considering granting wholesale pardons. He is actively trying to
- 19:10Speaker 3: do by the way. Number five, Trump is that he
- 19:12Speaker 3: wants federal workers to go back to work. So Biden
- 19:16Speaker 3: is signing contracts, collective bargaining contracts to make sure that
- 19:20Speaker 3: federal workers can stay home because he wants to tie
- 19:23Speaker 3: up the next administration on litigation. So but here, here's
- 19:27Speaker 3: what the Post said. Biden has repeatedly directed his aides
- 19:31Speaker 3: to do all they can to help Trump assume the presidency.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Like what utter and complete garbage. And let me say something,
- 19:39Speaker 3: Jeff Bezos owns the Washington Post. Jeff Bezos should be
- 19:43Speaker 3: ashamed of this garbage. If Jeff Bezos cared at all
- 19:49Speaker 3: about the integrity of the Washington Post, this guy, Tyler Patron,
- 19:53Speaker 3: I have no idea who this numbskull is. He should
- 19:55Speaker 3: be fired. He is not a journalist. Anyone who writes
- 19:58Speaker 3: this garbage that contains no facts, it contains no counterbalancing
- 20:06Speaker 3: countervailing side. It is simply if Madison Avenue were hired
- 20:12Speaker 3: to come in and let's rewrite the Biden presidency to
- 20:16Speaker 3: be exactly what we wanted it, they couldn't write it
- 20:19Speaker 3: more ridiculous than this. And by the way, the editor
- 20:22Speaker 3: who signed off on this should be fired as well.
- 20:25Speaker 3: This is you want to know why nobody trusts the media,
- 20:28Speaker 3: it's because they publish garbage like this without even a
- 20:35Speaker 3: tiny nod to facts or the simple reality that we
- 20:43Speaker 3: just saw a overwhelming election where Trump won the popular
- 20:48Speaker 3: vote of the seven battleground states, who won all seven,
- 20:51Speaker 3: Like someone at the Post should say, gosh, maybe these
- 20:55Speaker 3: incredibly popular policies that were so good for America, Maybe
- 21:00Speaker 3: people really didn't like it. Maybe waging a war on
- 21:03Speaker 3: oil and gas and driving up energy prices was a
- 21:06Speaker 3: really bad idea and hurt a lot of Americans. Maybe
- 21:10Speaker 3: undermining our allies. Maybe giving Vladimir Putin a gift of
- 21:15Speaker 3: waiving sanctions on Nordstring too and causing the biggest war
- 21:18Speaker 3: in Europe since World War Two, Maybe that wasn't a
- 21:19Speaker 3: great idea. Maybe sending one hundred billion dollars to I Ran,
- 21:23Speaker 3: who sends it to Hamas and Hansbla, who uses it
- 21:25Speaker 3: to fund a war on Israel, the worst war in
- 21:27Speaker 3: the Middle East in fifty years. Maybe that wasn't a
- 21:29Speaker 3: good idea. Maybe turning a blind eye and refusing to
- 21:33Speaker 3: prosecute antisemitic terrorists all across their protesters terrorists is too strong.
- 21:38Speaker 3: But antisemitic protesters who threatened violence, maybe that is a
- 21:42Speaker 3: profoundly bad idea. Maybe watching the integrity half of America
- 21:48Speaker 3: believes the FBI and the Department of Justice are completely unprincipled,
- 21:52Speaker 3: because well, they've been completely unprincipled. None of that that
- 21:57Speaker 3: there isn't even the time niest acknowledgment of facts. This
- 22:03Speaker 3: is the Washington Post behaving in a way that I
- 22:06Speaker 3: think everyone connected with this article ought to be thoroughly,
- 22:11Speaker 3: thoroughly embarrassed. When your principal points are we're aiming for
- 22:16Speaker 3: fifty years, not four. So as bad as our policies
- 22:19Speaker 3: are in fifty years, will claim they were great. And
- 22:24Speaker 3: Merrick Garland's problem was he wasn't political enough, and he
- 22:27Speaker 3: should have indicted Trump even more, and he should have
- 22:31Speaker 3: covered up Biden's wrongdoings even more. And you don't acknowledge
- 22:37Speaker 3: any like this is a load of crap that ain't journalism.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 22:45Speaker 2: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 22:48Speaker 2: from earlier this week.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Now onto story number two.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Number five is another big one here, and that is
- 22:55Speaker 2: the prediction that Joe Biden would harden death row inmates.
- 23:02Speaker 2: You said that it was gonna happen, and it did.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Plus the even more i would say disgusting deal that
- 23:10Speaker 2: was given out to Khalid Sheik Muhammad, the mastermind of
- 23:15Speaker 2: nine to eleven, to spare his life, the mastermind of
- 23:19Speaker 2: nine to eleven, and a man that was also before
- 23:21Speaker 2: even nine to eleven involved in many other terrorist attack
- 23:25Speaker 2: that killed women and children and the elderly innocent bystanders
- 23:29Speaker 2: that he did around the world.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Well, and this is a prediction that we made on
- 23:35Speaker 3: August eighteenth, twenty twenty three. Give a listen to what
- 23:39Speaker 3: we said back in August of twenty three. The way,
- 23:42Speaker 3: I'm going to make a prediction as well, which is
- 23:45Speaker 3: that these are not the only mass murderers that I
- 23:50Speaker 3: think this administration is going to refuse to follow federal
- 23:53Speaker 3: law and impose the death bet. I'm gonna make a
- 23:55Speaker 3: prediction right now, which is Joe Biden before he leaves
- 23:59Speaker 3: the White House will commute the sentence of every federal
- 24:05Speaker 3: prisoner on death row.
- 24:07Speaker 4: That he will do it for every one of them.
- 24:09Speaker 3: And that includes It includes the white supremacist and Nazi
- 24:15Speaker 3: who murdered nine African Americans at the Mother Emmanuel Ame
- 24:19Speaker 3: Church in Charleston, South Carolina, in a horrific hate crime.
- 24:23Speaker 4: He's on federal death row.
- 24:25Speaker 3: It includes the Boston bomber who murdered innocent people by
- 24:29Speaker 3: exploding a bomb at the Boston Marathon. One of the
- 24:33Speaker 3: two brothers is still alive. He's on death row. And
- 24:37Speaker 3: my prediction right now is Joe Biden intends to spare
- 24:42Speaker 3: every one of these mass murderers, every one of them.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Many of them are racist, bigoted, homicidal lunatics, and I
- 24:52Speaker 3: think we're going to see him commute all of their
- 24:55Speaker 3: sentences before he leaves the White House.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Well, if you won't, if you won't take out the
- 24:58Speaker 2: mastermind of nine to eleven and you won't give him
- 25:01Speaker 2: the death penalty, is there anyone that you'll give it to?
- 25:05Speaker 2: I mean, it doesn't, it doesn't get any worse than this.
- 25:09Speaker 1: It doesn't. And yet that's exactly what he's done.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Well.
- 25:13Speaker 3: So my prediction again in August of twenty three, is
- 25:15Speaker 3: that he would he would remove the death penalty, that
- 25:18Speaker 3: he would commute the death penalty for the federal death
- 25:20Speaker 3: row prisoners that has come to pass. Now, to be clear,
- 25:24Speaker 3: this prediction proves slightly off. I predicted that he would
- 25:28Speaker 3: commute the sentence of every single federal death row prisoner.
- 25:32Speaker 3: He instead commuted the sentence of thirty seven out of
- 25:36Speaker 3: the forty federal death row inmates. And so there were
- 25:40Speaker 3: three he did not. And interestingly enough, the three he
- 25:42Speaker 3: did not are the three that I identified in October,
- 25:47Speaker 3: or rather in August of twenty twenty three. So the
- 25:49Speaker 3: three he did not were the murderer at the Tree
- 25:52Speaker 3: of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, the murderer at the Mother
- 25:57Speaker 3: Emmanuel Church in Charleston, South Carolina, and the Boston marathon bomber.
- 26:02Speaker 3: And those three are the only three he did not.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Now I identified those three because they're the most horribly egregious,
- 26:08Speaker 3: they're the most famous and infamous.
- 26:10Speaker 4: That they are.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Two of the three at least are vicious, unrepentant racists.
- 26:17Speaker 3: And so I have to say my prediction. It was
- 26:19Speaker 3: not one hundred percent right. It was ninety two point
- 26:21Speaker 3: five percent right, because instead of commuting forty death sentences,
- 26:26Speaker 3: Biden commuted thirty seven out of forty, and he left
- 26:29Speaker 3: the three most egregious and famous ones off the table.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Why because they knew that the press was so utterly
- 26:36Speaker 3: corrupt that without those three that they would get almost
- 26:40Speaker 3: no criticism for it. That would you would just go
- 26:44Speaker 3: under the carpet, not really be seen. And I have
- 26:47Speaker 3: to say I underestimated the incredible cynicism.
- 26:52Speaker 4: And I got to say nonetheless.
- 26:55Speaker 3: That that is a profound disrespect for the rule of law.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Among those that that Biden did commute the sentences was
- 27:03Speaker 3: was a Nazi and an Aryan Brotherhood racist. You know,
- 27:09Speaker 3: Joe Biden stepped forward and said, hey, we're the Democrat Party.
- 27:12Speaker 1: We're here.
- 27:12Speaker 4: We're here for Nazis and klansmen. I mean it.
- 27:17Speaker 3: But ninety two point five percent prediction correct. And sadly,
- 27:23Speaker 3: another element of this prediction just just became confirmed moments ago.
- 27:29Speaker 3: So so this episode, we were talking about the plans
- 27:34Speaker 3: to spare the life of khaleade Shake Mohammad, the mastermind
- 27:37Speaker 3: of nine to eleven, and this podcast put enormous public
- 27:42Speaker 3: pressure on the White House. The White House Koreem John
- 27:44Speaker 3: Pierre was asked about it, and the heat became so
- 27:47Speaker 3: much that they backed off of it. Well sadly, the
- 27:50Speaker 3: news just broke that they're going back to trying to
- 27:54Speaker 3: spare Khalead shak Muhammad. They're trying to do it literally
- 27:57Speaker 3: on the way out the door. And the content that
- 28:01Speaker 3: Joe Biden, this entire White House has for the voters.
- 28:04Speaker 3: They are trying to break everything on the way out
- 28:06Speaker 3: the door. They're trying to frustrate Donald Trump every way
- 28:09Speaker 3: they can. They are such vicious partisans that there is
- 28:13Speaker 3: no respect for the Constitution, for the rule of law,
- 28:18Speaker 3: no respect for the voters. They don't care what the
- 28:21Speaker 3: voters said in November. They are trying to literally break
- 28:25Speaker 3: everything on the way out the door, and I got
- 28:27Speaker 3: to say it is grotesque.
- 28:30Speaker 2: As before, If you want to hear the rest of
- 28:32Speaker 2: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 28:35Speaker 2: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
- 28:38Speaker 2: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
- 28:41Speaker 2: story number three of the week you may have missed.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Let's move on to another prediction. This may be one
- 28:48Speaker 2: of my favorite predictions that we've ever made here on
- 28:51Speaker 2: this show, because when we said it, we got a
- 28:54Speaker 2: lot of pushback, and there are a lot of people
- 28:57Speaker 2: that said what you were saying was chill step.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Third, we had our ten foil hats on again.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I mean, there were people that were angry over this,
- 29:06Speaker 2: and that was the big prediction that you made, that
- 29:10Speaker 2: Joe Biden would not be the twenty twenty four Democratic nominee.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Well, that's right, and I made two related predictions. Number one,
- 29:20Speaker 3: early on, I said, I believe Joe Biden would not
- 29:24Speaker 3: be the Democrat nominee. He would not be on the
- 29:26Speaker 3: ballot in twenty twenty four. I also predicted, I said,
- 29:30Speaker 3: the only people that were when people were later talking
- 29:33Speaker 3: about replacing him with Gavin Newsom or Gretchen Whitmer some
- 29:37Speaker 3: other people, I said, no, that will never happen. The
- 29:40Speaker 3: Democrat Party is a bean counting party. Next in line
- 29:45Speaker 3: is Kamala Harris, and the Democrat Party cannot cannot push
- 29:50Speaker 3: her aside, cannot push an African American woman aside for
- 29:54Speaker 3: a white guy like Gavin Newsom. Their their party would
- 29:57Speaker 3: spontaneously combust if they tried to do that, so I said,
- 30:01Speaker 3: the only people who could replace Joe Biden are Kamala
- 30:05Speaker 3: Harris or Michelle Obama. And I did lay out that
- 30:08Speaker 3: I thought Michelle Obama. If I were a Democrat, I
- 30:11Speaker 3: would much prefer Michelle Obama to Kamala Harris becau. Kamala Harris,
- 30:14Speaker 3: as the whole world is seen, is a lousy candidate.
- 30:17Speaker 3: So if you're a Democrat who wants to win and
- 30:20Speaker 3: you're stuck with Kamala Harris, there's only one human being
- 30:23Speaker 3: who can push Kamala Harris aside. That is Michelle Obama.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Now what I think happened. I think they tried with Michelle.
- 30:31Speaker 3: I think Michelle said no. And so prediction number one
- 30:34Speaker 3: that Joe Biden would not be the nominee that came
- 30:36Speaker 3: one hundred percent correct. Prediction number two that he would
- 30:40Speaker 3: be replaced either by Kamala Harris or Michelle Obama that
- 30:44Speaker 3: came true as well, although I did think Michelle Obama
- 30:47Speaker 3: had a very real possibility. So let's listen. This first
- 30:51Speaker 3: excerpt is from September eighteenth, twenty twenty three, so more
- 30:56Speaker 3: than a year a year and three months ago where
- 31:00Speaker 3: I laid out laid out this possibility and give a listen.
- 31:05Speaker 3: So here's the scenario that I think is perhaps most
- 31:09Speaker 3: likely and most dangerous. In August of twenty twenty four,
- 31:14Speaker 3: the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama,
- 31:21Speaker 3: and I want you to pause and reflect on it.
- 31:23Speaker 2: So I'm pausing, and I'm reflecting, as we said, and
- 31:25Speaker 2: so is everybody else listening right now.
- 31:27Speaker 3: I view this as a very serious danger.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I'm smiling right now because it terrifies me. And I
- 31:34Speaker 1: also could totally see this happening.
- 31:36Speaker 3: So, Michelle Obama, number one, you don't infuriate African American women,
- 31:41Speaker 3: which is a critical part of the constituency that Democrats
- 31:44Speaker 3: are relying on to win. But number two, you avoid
- 31:47Speaker 3: the problem if you pick from any of the four.
- 31:49Speaker 3: The other three are pissed because they're all to some
- 31:53Speaker 3: extent peers, they're rivals, they're all jabbin knives at each other.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Michelle Obama, because she was first, has the ability to
- 32:02Speaker 3: kind of parachute in above all four and say, hey,
- 32:06Speaker 3: we're not picking among any of you. You guys can
- 32:09Speaker 3: all fight it out next time. You're all going to
- 32:11Speaker 3: be on the same level. We're coming. This is the
- 32:14Speaker 3: Obamas saving the day, and I think in terms of
- 32:17Speaker 3: a solution that unifies Democrats, there ain't nothing like that.
- 32:25Speaker 3: I also think Michelle is not all that eager to
- 32:28Speaker 3: run for president. But to parachute in in August of
- 32:31Speaker 3: twenty four, a couple of months before the presidency and
- 32:34Speaker 3: suddenly wake up and be president not a bad gig.
- 32:38Speaker 3: It's not a bad gig at all. Now, would she
- 32:40Speaker 3: do it? I don't know. I've met Michelle, but I
- 32:44Speaker 3: don't know her personally in any meaningful way.
- 32:46Speaker 4: I don't know if she would do it.
- 32:48Speaker 3: I do think Barack Obama is already running the Biden administration.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I think he is already the puppet master behind this
- 32:57Speaker 3: Biden White House. I don't think Joe Biden is the
- 32:59Speaker 3: decision maker. And so when I see the media turning
- 33:03Speaker 3: on Joe Biden right now, I think the odds of
- 33:07Speaker 3: Michelle Obama parachuting in in August of twenty twenty four
- 33:12Speaker 3: have risen dramatically, and that ought to scare the hell
- 33:16Speaker 3: out of anyone who is unhappy about the direction this
- 33:20Speaker 3: country is going and doesn't want us to go even
- 33:23Speaker 3: crazier in an even worse direct.
- 33:25Speaker 1: In an even worse direction.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Well, and there you heard in September of twenty twenty
- 33:30Speaker 3: three making the prediction that Joe Biden would be jettisoned.
- 33:33Speaker 3: And by the way, at the time that happened, very
- 33:35Speaker 3: few people were making that prediction. When we put that
- 33:38Speaker 3: podcast out, it drove a lot of news. There were headlines.
- 33:41Speaker 3: There were people that were shocked when I laid out
- 33:45Speaker 3: that Biden was not capable, that his mental capacity had diminished,
- 33:51Speaker 3: that he was not going to be the nominee, that
- 33:52Speaker 3: the Democrats realized it, that they were going to jettison him,
- 33:56Speaker 3: that the media ridiculed it. But you go forward to
- 34:00Speaker 3: February of twenty twenty four, I went on Maria Bartiromo.
- 34:03Speaker 3: I said, I think Obama's driving the train, which is
- 34:05Speaker 3: which is also what I said back in September twenty
- 34:07Speaker 3: twenty three. John Harwood, who you know, was the former
- 34:13Speaker 3: journalist for the Wall Street Journal and for NBC, and
- 34:16Speaker 3: who's a hard leftist, a vicious leftist. He retweeted my
- 34:21Speaker 3: comments on Maria Barbaramo and his entire commentary was quote
- 34:27Speaker 3: impossibly stupid conversation. So that was his learned journalistic view
- 34:34Speaker 3: is that it was impossibly stupid to say that. I
- 34:39Speaker 3: will tell you just in November of this year, I
- 34:44Speaker 3: retweeted Harwood shot at me and I just said, I
- 34:47Speaker 3: want to know why nobody trusts the media. Just nine
- 34:50Speaker 3: months ago, a fake quote journalist claimed it was quote
- 34:54Speaker 3: impossibly stupid to observe that Joe Biden was not mentally
- 34:59Speaker 3: competent to be president. Now everybody admits it. What say you,
- 35:06Speaker 3: John Jay Harwood? Of course Harwood didn't respond at all.
- 35:11Speaker 3: He ignored it. All right, Let's go forward though. Not
- 35:15Speaker 3: only did we lay it out in September of twenty
- 35:18Speaker 3: twenty three, but then fast forward to the debate, the
- 35:21Speaker 3: debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump that was on
- 35:26Speaker 3: June twenty eighth, twenty twenty four. You and I recorded
- 35:30Speaker 3: a Verdict podcast immediately after the debate. We went live
- 35:34Speaker 3: recorded it that night, and give a listen to what
- 35:37Speaker 3: the Verdict podcast said the night of the debate.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Tender Cruz, I didn't think it could actually be this bad.
- 35:46Speaker 2: It was worse than even I think either of us
- 35:49Speaker 2: could have imagined. And now the Democratic Party is screaming
- 35:53Speaker 2: replaced the president.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Well, you and I are sitting here at is ten
- 35:56Speaker 3: seventeen pm Texas time. At is eleven seventeen pm East
- 36:01Speaker 3: Coast time.
- 36:01Speaker 4: The night of the debate.
- 36:02Speaker 3: The debate just ended, and I have to say, we
- 36:05Speaker 3: have just witnessed what I believe is the most consequential
- 36:07Speaker 3: presidential debate in US history. Sometimes debate change debates change things.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Sometimes they don't. I believe to bite tonight's debate change
- 36:16Speaker 3: things fundamentally. And I believe the odds have now skyrocketed.
- 36:21Speaker 3: I believe the odds are north of eighty percent that
- 36:24Speaker 3: the Democrat Party will remove Joe Biden from the ticket
- 36:27Speaker 3: and replace him. And I believe they are likely to
- 36:29Speaker 3: replace Joe Biden with Michelle Obama because Biden did so
- 36:34Speaker 3: disastrously badly tonight that Democrats across the country are in
- 36:39Speaker 3: utter freefall and complete panic. We're going to break all
- 36:42Speaker 3: that down tonight.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:43Speaker 2: And by the way, this was a prediction that you
- 36:46Speaker 2: made on this show back in September of twenty twenty
- 36:51Speaker 2: three that the Democratic king makers could bring in Michelle
- 36:54Speaker 2: Obama will break all that down center yet another prediction
- 36:59Speaker 2: there again, go back and look at the night you
- 37:01Speaker 2: made it right at that debate, and you said there's
- 37:03Speaker 2: no way he's going to be on the ticket, and
- 37:05Speaker 2: it was absolutely correct.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Well, to be fair, what I said was the odds
- 37:10Speaker 3: were north of eighty percent that he would be.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Pulled off the ticket.
- 37:14Speaker 3: That prediction that Joe Biden would be removed from the ticket,
- 37:17Speaker 3: which by the way, is unprecedented and was almost universally
- 37:22Speaker 3: ridiculed in the media, that prediction came one hundred percent true.
- 37:26Speaker 3: I also articulated there were only two people who could
- 37:28Speaker 3: replace him, Kamala Harris or Michelle Obama. I believe Michelle
- 37:31Speaker 3: Obama was more likely. The Michelle Obama thing did not
- 37:35Speaker 3: come to pass, but the Kamala Harris thing did. And
- 37:39Speaker 3: in fact I predicted that the Democrat Kingmakers with jettison
- 37:43Speaker 3: Biden in August of twenty twenty four. They in fact
- 37:48Speaker 3: did so on July twenty first of twenty twenty four,
- 37:51Speaker 3: so I was ten days off in terms of predicting it.
- 37:54Speaker 3: And by the way, to be clear, I predicted that
- 37:56Speaker 3: way back in September of twenty twenty three, so so
- 38:00Speaker 3: over a year earlier. I predicted within ten days when
- 38:03Speaker 3: they would throw Biden off the ballot. And I'm going
- 38:07Speaker 3: to make actually a brand new prediction here, I'm going
- 38:10Speaker 3: to predict that in the next year or two we
- 38:14Speaker 3: are going to get confirmation that there was serious outreach
- 38:18Speaker 3: to Michelle Obama to see if she was willing to
- 38:21Speaker 3: replace Joe Biden on the ballot, and that Michelle Obama
- 38:25Speaker 3: said no. I don't know that, but my instinct, my
- 38:28Speaker 3: judgment tells me that happened, and we'll see in the
- 38:32Speaker 3: next year or two if that gets confirmed. We'll have
- 38:35Speaker 3: a subsequent podcast. If that gets confirmed publicly, we'll go
- 38:38Speaker 3: back and revisit it.
- 38:40Speaker 2: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with Center
- 38:43Speaker 2: Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you don't forget to deal
- 38:46Speaker 2: with my podcast, and you can listen to my podcast
- 38:48Speaker 2: every other day you're not listening to Verdict or each
- 38:50Speaker 2: day when you listen to Verdict. Afterwards, I'd love to
- 38:53Speaker 2: have you as a listener to again, Ben Ferguson Podcasts,
- 38:56Speaker 2: and we will see you back here on Monday morning.
