- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Center, Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson
- 0:04Speaker 1: with you. It's nice to have you along with us today,
- 0:06Speaker 1: and Senator, you've run for president before, and Hunter Biden
- 0:11Speaker 1: may be calling you because apparently he's saying about running
- 0:14Speaker 1: for president as well in this new interview, on top
- 0:17Speaker 1: of the fact he's very angry with rich Democrats and
- 0:20Speaker 1: helped his dad get elected the first time.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I gotta say, we've seen bad interviews, but wow, but
- 0:27Speaker 2: like Hunter Biden utterly and completely melted down. There's an
- 0:32Speaker 2: old line that a gaff in Washington is when a
- 0:35Speaker 2: politician actually says something they believe. Well, Hunter Biden, let loose.
- 0:40Speaker 2: He is the ID of the Democrat Party. He's announced
- 0:42Speaker 2: apparently he's launching a campaign for president. I actually think
- 0:45Speaker 2: he'd be a fantastic representative of today's Democrat party. He
- 0:49Speaker 2: embodies everything today's Democrats stand for. We're gonna break down
- 0:53Speaker 2: this train wreck of an interview, and actually that's not
- 0:57Speaker 2: fair to train wrecks because they're usually more discipline, more orderly,
- 1:02Speaker 2: and result in less chaos than this interview. We're also
- 1:06Speaker 2: going to talk about legislation that I've introduced this week
- 1:09Speaker 2: called the Stop Funders Act to go after the people
- 1:12Speaker 2: who are writing the checks that are funding these pro
- 1:16Speaker 2: illegal immigrant riots, that are funding anti Semitic riots, that
- 1:20Speaker 2: are funding Antifa riots, that are funding Black Lives Matter riots.
- 1:24Speaker 2: We're going to talk about following the money. And finally,
- 1:26Speaker 2: we're going to talk about a growing national security threat
- 1:29Speaker 2: and law enforcement threat, which is drones. We're seeing criminal
- 1:32Speaker 2: cartels using drones, We're seeing terrorists using drones, and right now,
- 1:36Speaker 2: the current legal system, the federal government is not prepared
- 1:39Speaker 2: to keep us safe.
- 1:40Speaker 3: We're going to talk.
- 1:41Speaker 2: About the threat of drone warfare, the next generation of
- 1:45Speaker 2: threats our families and our country are facing.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a really important issue. We're going to deal
- 1:50Speaker 4: with that in a second.

- 3:50Speaker 1: All right, so, Senator, let's just start with this interview.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It was a three hour interview. Once a crackhead, always
- 3:57Speaker 1: a crackhead, was the takeaway for me and Hunter.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Biden loves to use the F bomb. That's two. That's
- 4:03Speaker 4: takeaway number two.
- 4:05Speaker 1: He's really angry though at the Democratic Machine for turning
- 4:09Speaker 1: on Daddy.
- 4:11Speaker 4: That got him really fired up.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I gotta say one of the consequences of this interview, Uh,
- 4:17Speaker 2: it's actually had a real impact on the Verdict podcast
- 4:20Speaker 2: because it's forced us to increase our compensation for Diaz,
- 4:24Speaker 2: our producer, because the amount of time that he's had
- 4:28Speaker 2: to put in just to bleeping the F bombs. Yes,
- 4:31Speaker 2: I mean it really is throwing it that there were
- 4:35Speaker 2: overtime limits. We're gonna play this and and and and
- 4:38Speaker 2: let me say thank you to Diaz for hitting bleep
- 4:41Speaker 2: bleep bleep. You got to be really fast on this.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Give a listen to to Hunter Biden's careful, nuanced assessment
- 4:48Speaker 2: of George Clooney, of David Axelrod, of the graybeard eminences
- 4:55Speaker 2: in the Democrat Party. Here, give a listen.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I don't have to be nice number one. I agree
- 4:59Speaker 3: with Quentin Guarantino. George Clooney is not an actor. He
- 5:03Speaker 3: is a like I don't know what he is. You
- 5:07Speaker 3: what do you have to do with anything? Why do
- 5:09Speaker 3: I have to listen to you? What right do you
- 5:11Speaker 3: have to step on a man who's given fifty two
- 5:13Speaker 3: years of his life to the services of this country
- 5:16Speaker 3: and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take
- 5:19Speaker 3: out basically a full page ad in the New York
- 5:21Speaker 3: Times to undermine the president at a time in which,
- 5:24Speaker 3: by the way, what do people care about the most?
- 5:27Speaker 3: Why do you think that the Republicans have an advantage
- 5:29Speaker 3: over us because they're unified, they won't go along with anything.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I wasn't asking anybody to go along with anything. I
- 5:35Speaker 3: was asking people to go along with this. The most
- 5:38Speaker 3: successful administration in my lifetime.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I mean, Senator, it was successful. Hunter Biden said so.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And he wasn't ask anybody to go along with anything
- 5:47Speaker 1: unless you were sending money from Ukraine, or from Russia,
- 5:50Speaker 1: or from China outside of that, or buying some of
- 5:53Speaker 1: his artwork.
- 5:54Speaker 4: I mean, this was just a straight shooting guy, right.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Look, it was the most successful administration of his lifetime.
- 6:01Speaker 2: New To be clear, Hunter has a memory of about
- 6:04Speaker 2: four seconds, so in the last four seconds that he
- 6:07Speaker 2: can remember, it was the most successful he can remember
- 6:09Speaker 2: because he's blocked out the current administration. You look at listen,
- 6:15Speaker 2: even Democrats are not making arguments that Joe Biden was
- 6:18Speaker 2: a successful administration. It was a train wreck. Joe Biden
- 6:22Speaker 2: gave us a new Trump presidency, he gave us a
- 6:25Speaker 2: Republican sanity, gave us a Republican House. And it's because
- 6:28Speaker 2: every policy that the Democrats adopted was a disaster. Open borders,
- 6:32Speaker 2: twelve million people invading this country. The American people didn't
- 6:35Speaker 2: like the victims of crime. The American people didn't like
- 6:38Speaker 2: the disastrous War on American energy, that drove inflation, drove
- 6:41Speaker 2: up the cost for working people across the country. The
- 6:44Speaker 2: American people didn't like. And as bad as all the
- 6:46Speaker 2: domestic policy was, the foreign policy was even worse. Every
- 6:51Speaker 2: friend of America Joe Biden, the Democrats abandoned every enemy
- 6:56Speaker 2: of America Joe Biden. The Democrats showed weakness and appeasement.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So Biden, the Democrats inherited peace and prosperity, and we
- 7:04Speaker 2: were given instead two wars. We were given the war
- 7:07Speaker 2: in Ukraine and the absolute disaster of October seventh. Why
- 7:10Speaker 2: because Joe Biden the Democrats gave a hundred billion dollars
- 7:13Speaker 2: to Iran that they used to fund the death squads
- 7:17Speaker 2: on October seventh. That is the legacy of the Biden presidency.
- 7:21Speaker 2: There is not a single Democrat in the Congress that
- 7:23Speaker 2: I know of that is defending the Biden presidency. But
- 7:26Speaker 2: to Joe Biden and to Hunter Biden, the problem is
- 7:30Speaker 2: George Clooney, That clearly is the problem. But I got
- 7:34Speaker 2: to say, Hunter went further than that, and I want
- 7:38Speaker 2: to listen to I want you to listen to what
- 7:40Speaker 2: he had to say about Al Salvador, because he's really
- 7:44Speaker 2: really mad that President Trump is deporting violent criminal, illegal
- 7:50Speaker 2: alien Venezuelan gang members listen to Hunter Biden's solution to
- 7:54Speaker 2: stop this.
- 7:55Speaker 3: But these guys think that we need to run away
- 7:57Speaker 3: from all values in.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Order for us to leave.
- 8:00Speaker 3: I say you, how are we getting those people back
- 8:02Speaker 3: from fucking El Salvador? Because I'll tell you what, if
- 8:06Speaker 3: I became president in two years from now, or four
- 8:08Speaker 3: years from now or three years from now, I would
- 8:10Speaker 3: pick up the phone and call the president of El
- 8:12Speaker 3: Salvador and say you either send them back or I'm
- 8:16Speaker 3: going to find.
- 8:17Speaker 4: In Vaine is a crime. What they're doing.
- 8:21Speaker 3: He's a dictator, thug Well Kelly or Trump.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Both Biden twenty twenty eight campaign right there slogan, I'll
- 8:28Speaker 1: invade El Salvador and anybody else that makes me blanket angry.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Right.
- 8:33Speaker 2: So to be clear, you're doing some math there because
- 8:36Speaker 2: you said it's Biden twenty twenty eight, and Hunter was
- 8:39Speaker 2: clear he said if I became president in two.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Years or four years or three years.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Apparently he doesn't know when the presidential election was. Maybe
- 8:45Speaker 2: it's twenty seven, maybe it's twenty eight, maybe it's twenty nine,
- 8:48Speaker 2: maybe it's forty two.
- 8:50Speaker 4: You know, man.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Speaking at Bernie's at the White House when he was there,
- 8:54Speaker 1: does it really matter what election year it is?
- 8:56Speaker 4: Right?
- 8:57Speaker 2: I do like that he broke the news that apparently
- 8:59Speaker 2: Hunter is running it is one hundred and twenty eight.
- 9:02Speaker 2: You're right, that's at least what they'll print on the
- 9:04Speaker 2: bumper stickers. And by the way, does anyone better represent
- 9:10Speaker 2: the mess that is today's Democrat Party? The corruption, the anger.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Listen to what he just said. If he were president,
- 9:26Speaker 2: he would invade El Salvador. He would send the military
- 9:30Speaker 2: to invade l Salvador to what end, to bring back
- 9:36Speaker 2: criminal illegal aliens, to bring back murderers and rapists and
- 9:39Speaker 2: child molesters who are MS thirteen gang members, because he
- 9:43Speaker 2: would send the army to say, you know what, we
- 9:45Speaker 2: don't have enough criminals and murderers and rapists. I'm going
- 9:50Speaker 2: to send the army to bring us some more. That
- 9:53Speaker 2: is today's Democrat Party.
- 9:54Speaker 4: But holy cow, yeah, it makes sense.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I'm kind of digging the honesty here, right, and this
- 10:00Speaker 1: is coming from the same Now, let's also be clear,
- 10:04Speaker 1: Joe Biden said Hunter Biden was the smartest man he knew.
- 10:07Speaker 1: So this is the guy that's like wat's this, here's
- 10:10Speaker 1: foreign policy. If you want to know who was running
- 10:12Speaker 1: the White House. What does worry me is how much
- 10:15Speaker 1: Hunter Biden was around the White House, content.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Around emails. He was plugged in. If there was any
- 10:21Speaker 2: foreign despot, if there were any any enemy of America,
- 10:25Speaker 2: Hunter Biden was plugged in. Why because he would then
- 10:28Speaker 2: shake down people for tens of millions of dollars. This guy, Look,
- 10:32Speaker 2: we are watching one of the great businessmen of modern times,
- 10:35Speaker 2: because he has figured out he could sell access to
- 10:38Speaker 2: Daddy and favors from Daddy and make tens of millions
- 10:40Speaker 2: of dollars. And look you listen to his answer just
- 10:44Speaker 2: a minute ago where he said, if he were president,
- 10:46Speaker 2: he would send in the military to invade El Salvador
- 10:49Speaker 2: to bring back illegal immigrants. You might think this guy
- 10:52Speaker 2: loves illegal immigrants. He just has a warm spot. He
- 10:56Speaker 2: has a heart for immigrants. He thinks they're wonderful, incredible people.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Well not so much. Listen to this clip where he
- 11:03Speaker 2: describes what he really thinks of the illegal immigrants that
- 11:07Speaker 2: Daddy led into this country.
- 11:09Speaker 3: People are really upset about illegal immigration. You how do
- 11:13Speaker 3: you think your hotel room gets cleaned? How do you
- 11:15Speaker 3: think you have food on your table? Who do you
- 11:18Speaker 3: think washes your dishes? Who do you think does your
- 11:21Speaker 3: fucking garden. I would pick up the phone and call
- 11:23Speaker 3: the President of Salvador and say you either send them
- 11:27Speaker 3: back or I'm going to invade. It's a facking crime
- 11:31Speaker 3: what they're doing. He is a fucking dictator.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Well, look you that is what Hunter thinks of immigrants.
- 11:41Speaker 2: They clean hotels, they clean your dishes. It reminds me
- 11:44Speaker 2: of that wack adoodle Democrat Congresswan from Vermont who said
- 11:50Speaker 2: if we don't let any illegal illegal immigrants, who's going
- 11:53Speaker 2: to wipe your ass? I mean, it is a level
- 11:56Speaker 2: of contempt and condous.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Says what I want, isn't it?
- 12:00Speaker 2: Yet? Look look they they look down on the illegals
- 12:05Speaker 2: that they allowed to flood into this country, but they
- 12:08Speaker 2: think they're dumb enough that they will end up voting
- 12:10Speaker 2: for Democrats ultimately, So it's all about political power. But
- 12:14Speaker 2: this is the condescension and contempt, and Hunter is not unique.
- 12:19Speaker 2: He is today's Democrat party that they have. Everything is
- 12:24Speaker 2: politics and partisan politics. They are willing to endanger your
- 12:29Speaker 2: family and my family if they believe it will elect
- 12:32Speaker 2: more Democrats.
- 12:34Speaker 1: The takeaway from this interview was for me two big themes.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Number One, it is scary who had access to this
- 12:42Speaker 1: White House and influence over the president, especially when he
- 12:47Speaker 1: was in such a cognitive decline. That terrifies me that
- 12:50Speaker 1: Hunter Biden was around and flying on Air Force one
- 12:53Speaker 1: and involved in meetings and was read in and was
- 12:56Speaker 1: on all the email chains that we've witnessed recently.
- 12:59Speaker 4: That number one.
- 13:01Speaker 1: But number two, it also tells you I think about
- 13:04Speaker 1: just the disarray of the Democratic Party and the fact
- 13:07Speaker 1: that they turned so quickly on Joe when they saw
- 13:11Speaker 1: the debate. And now he's like, well, I want to
- 13:13Speaker 1: burn it all down, and everybody that didn't stand with
- 13:16Speaker 1: my dad, how dare you? And I may even come
- 13:19Speaker 1: back and president. Like, there's a derangement aspect of the
- 13:22Speaker 1: Biden family at this moment.
- 13:24Speaker 2: And listen, I don't fault Hunter for defending his dad.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I actually support familiar loyalty. But he is lashing out
- 13:32Speaker 2: in a way that is unhinged and unconnected to reality.
- 13:36Speaker 2: He's mad at George Clooney, he's mad at David Axelrod,
- 13:39Speaker 2: he's mad at the Democrats, and one exchange, he explains
- 13:44Speaker 2: he actually broke some news, he said, the person who
- 13:47Speaker 2: was responsible for his father being pulled from the ticket.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And it turns out, according to Hunter, it was Nancy
- 13:54Speaker 2: Pelosi here give a listener.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yeah, And you would have the speaker of emeritus that
- 13:58Speaker 3: would say, well, you know, I'm going to leave it
- 14:01Speaker 3: up to but I don't know. And and and they'd
- 14:06Speaker 3: already made a decision. They clearly made a decision. And
- 14:12Speaker 3: when I say they, I mean the speaker. And you know,
- 14:15Speaker 3: I heard Alexander Pelosi say something call my mo, like
- 14:19Speaker 3: put your big girl pants on to my mom or something,
- 14:22Speaker 3: and I kind of want to feel like saying, who
- 14:23Speaker 3: the heck do you think you are. I would never
- 14:25Speaker 3: speak about your mom that way. I would never speak
- 14:27Speaker 3: about your father that way. I would never insult your
- 14:31Speaker 3: parents that way.
- 14:32Speaker 4: He would never, but he's really mad about it right now.
- 14:36Speaker 2: He would never, except for the moment that he is.
- 14:38Speaker 2: All right, Let's shift to the next topic, which is
- 14:43Speaker 2: violence in America. Look, the last five years, we've seen
- 14:47Speaker 2: a pattern of riot after riot after riot. We saw
- 14:54Speaker 2: in twenty twenty the Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots.
- 14:59Speaker 2: We saw s all across this country lit on fire.
- 15:02Speaker 2: We saw police cars firebombed, we saw stores looted, we
- 15:06Speaker 2: saw people murdered. We saw following October seventh, anti Semitic
- 15:12Speaker 2: riots and hostile protests on college campuses all across this country,
- 15:19Speaker 2: especially in bright blue liberal states. And now this year
- 15:25Speaker 2: we've seen violent protests, typically in Democrat cities, started in
- 15:31Speaker 2: Los Angeles, spread across the country in favor of illegal immigrants,
- 15:35Speaker 2: in favor of Venezuelan gang members, opposing deportation, saying we
- 15:41Speaker 2: want as many criminal illegal aliens in this country. There
- 15:45Speaker 2: is a pattern behind all of these, which is these
- 15:49Speaker 2: are not organic. These are not just people who got
- 15:51Speaker 2: pissed off and decided I'm going to go protest. There
- 15:54Speaker 2: is money behind these. Checks are being written that are
- 15:59Speaker 2: funding them. And so I introduced legislation this week called
- 16:03Speaker 2: the Stop Funders Act. And what the Stop Funders Act
- 16:06Speaker 2: does is very simple. It adds to the list of
- 16:10Speaker 2: predicate crimes for RICO rioting. Now what does that mean.
- 16:14Speaker 2: RICO is legislation that is used to go after racketeering,
- 16:18Speaker 2: and it's very powerful legislation that prosecutors have used to
- 16:23Speaker 2: go after the mob. And it goes after a criminal enterprise,
- 16:26Speaker 2: a criminal organization. Right now, rioting is not one of
- 16:30Speaker 2: the predicate crimes. But in this instance, if you want
- 16:35Speaker 2: to go after for five years, we have seen these
- 16:37Speaker 2: violent riots. And look, I'm not the only person in
- 16:41Speaker 2: the country who noticed that the anti Semitic riots on
- 16:44Speaker 2: college campuses, that many of the protesters had matching tents. Yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 2: there are clearly checks being written. Some of them I
- 16:56Speaker 2: believe are from foreign nations like Cutter or Ran, but
- 17:00Speaker 2: others are from radical left wing organizations. And during the
- 17:05Speaker 2: Biden administration, you and I on this podcast repeatedly called
- 17:08Speaker 2: on the Department of Justice to follow the money. With
- 17:12Speaker 2: Pambondi and Cash Bettel, I've told both of them, follow
- 17:15Speaker 2: the money, prosecute the people who are writing checks, not
- 17:18Speaker 2: just the thugs who are on the street, who are
- 17:21Speaker 2: attacking police officers, who are attacking innocent people, but the
- 17:25Speaker 2: people who are paying for it all. And and going
- 17:29Speaker 2: after the money is the best way to stop these
- 17:33Speaker 2: violent riots. And if we don't, they will continue, because
- 17:37Speaker 2: understand the radical left wants them to continue.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah, this is one of those where as you mentioned,
- 17:42Speaker 1: follow the money, it's very quarly well organized. We're seeing
- 17:45Speaker 1: this even over the last two weeks when they've gone
- 17:47Speaker 1: after the President of the United States of America. And
- 17:50Speaker 1: we see all these you know, protests that they try
- 17:54Speaker 1: to act like they're spontaneous. No, they're paid for, they're funded,
- 17:57Speaker 1: they're well organized. Senator, every every one can see it.
- 18:01Speaker 1: And so the question people, I'm sure are going to say, well,
- 18:04Speaker 1: hold on a second, if I want to spend my
- 18:06Speaker 1: money to support a protest, why should I be held
- 18:11Speaker 1: accountable for that if they decide to get angry or
- 18:14Speaker 1: violent on their own.
- 18:15Speaker 4: How do you separate those two things.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Well, you have to demonstrate under RICO that you're part
- 18:20Speaker 2: of a criminal enterprise and the predicate act. Rioting is
- 18:25Speaker 2: different from protesting. Peaceful protest is protected by the Constitution,
- 18:28Speaker 2: but rioting is not. When you're using violence, when you're
- 18:32Speaker 2: using weapons, when you're intimidating, when you're threatening, when you're hurting,
- 18:36Speaker 2: when you're murdering people, and many of these riots have
- 18:39Speaker 2: involved people being killed. That is fundamentally different. And I'll
- 18:45Speaker 2: use it example when we've talked about occasionally on this podcast.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Last year, for a period of about nine months, Heidi
- 18:53Speaker 2: and I had every Saturday morning pro Haamas protesters at
- 18:57Speaker 2: our house. Yeah, they would show up at seven am.
- 19:01Speaker 2: They would leave it eight When they showed up, they
- 19:04Speaker 2: would scream, they would bang cowbells, they would blow missiles up, whistles.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Rather they thankfully they did not blow missiles, but they
- 19:12Speaker 2: whistles intense. Yeah, that that that would have been different.
- 19:17Speaker 2: They would scream, curse words. They cursed as much as
- 19:20Speaker 2: Hunter Biden did. They dropped f bombs over and over
- 19:23Speaker 2: and over again. Look, we have teenage daughters. There are
- 19:26Speaker 2: a few things that can tick teenagers off more than
- 19:29Speaker 2: waking them up at seven am on a Saturday. Teenagers
- 19:32Speaker 2: like to sleep in, certainly my girls do. Yeah, And
- 19:35Speaker 2: it was week after week after week. Now what was striking.
- 19:41Speaker 2: This was a job. It was clearly paid for. They
- 19:44Speaker 2: showed up at seven am, they left at eight am.
- 19:47Speaker 2: That was what they were paid for. One hour boom,
- 19:49Speaker 2: they were done and then after nine months spent. It
- 19:52Speaker 2: just stopped and it didn't trickle off. It didn't occur
- 19:56Speaker 2: only occasionally. It was the instant the money was over,
- 20:01Speaker 2: it was done.
- 20:03Speaker 1: And in other words, these weren't actual protesters. These were
- 20:07Speaker 1: paid agitators.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Look, this is apparently the living they have as
- 20:12Speaker 2: they go to places where people pay them to scream
- 20:14Speaker 2: and yell and be obnoxious. And in the case of
- 20:17Speaker 2: the riots, you have people who are criminals who will
- 20:21Speaker 2: engage in violence. But the real driver behind this is
- 20:25Speaker 2: the money. It's the funders, and we need to go
- 20:29Speaker 2: after and cut off the money.
- 20:31Speaker 1: So if you cut off this money, how long does
- 20:34Speaker 1: it take for this to become a thing where people
- 20:37Speaker 1: are then afraid to fund these types of things, these
- 20:39Speaker 1: extremist riots. And how fast could these rico laws be
- 20:43Speaker 1: used if this becomes reality.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't take long. Look, one or two people
- 20:47Speaker 2: writing checks gets prosecuted, gets put in jail, and people
- 20:52Speaker 2: will be very reluctant. It's much like funding terrorism. Look,
- 20:56Speaker 2: you and I and normal people don't write checks to
- 20:58Speaker 2: hamas because if you write checks to hamas, they will
- 21:00Speaker 2: prosecute you and put you in jail. And so there
- 21:05Speaker 2: is a high threshold. The Department of Justice has brought
- 21:08Speaker 2: a lot of cases for people funding terrorist organizations. These
- 21:13Speaker 2: violent riots, they're not organic, they're not just occurring. If
- 21:17Speaker 2: you look at it. The college campuses where they've arrested people,
- 21:21Speaker 2: they typically find about half the people there are not
- 21:24Speaker 2: students and not affiliated with the university. They've showed up
- 21:28Speaker 2: because their business is rent a riot and listen, I'm
- 21:32Speaker 2: interested in the thugs who are engaging in violence, but
- 21:34Speaker 2: I'm more interested in the people who are sitting there
- 21:38Speaker 2: funding this and saying we're going to tear down our country.
- 21:42Speaker 2: We're going to tear down our universities. We are going
- 21:45Speaker 2: to promote radical hatred, hatred of Jews, hatred of America,
- 21:50Speaker 2: hatred of our constitution. And the key is going after
- 21:56Speaker 2: the money. By the way, it speaks volumes in the
- 22:01Speaker 2: entire Joe Biden presidency, they did not indict anybody for
- 22:06Speaker 2: funding these protests. They did not prosecute anybody for funding
- 22:10Speaker 2: these protests. And the reason Ben is the same people
- 22:14Speaker 2: writing checks and funding these protests are the same people
- 22:17Speaker 2: writing checks and funding Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and
- 22:20Speaker 2: the Democrats. And they're not going to go after their
- 22:22Speaker 2: donors because their donors are paying the bills. And by
- 22:25Speaker 2: the way, these are also the people that funded Mondani's
- 22:29Speaker 2: campaign in New York, who's an open Marxist. He's not
- 22:33Speaker 2: a socialist, he's not a leftist, he is a communist.
- 22:37Speaker 2: And that is who is funding this. As people who
- 22:40Speaker 2: support destroying this country, we need serious, focused law enforcement
- 22:46Speaker 2: and all the tools to go after the people who
- 22:48Speaker 2: are paying to undermine this country.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a great point.
- 22:51Speaker 1: What are the chances you think that's becoming a reality,
- 22:54Speaker 1: by the way, for people that are excited.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I don't know. Right now, we have no Democrats supporting it.
- 22:59Speaker 2: We have another we have seven Republicans who are supporting it.
- 23:02Speaker 4: We have no Dea. I wonder why, right, no Democrats.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I wonder why.
- 23:05Speaker 2: It's because these are their donors, these are the people
- 23:07Speaker 2: that fund their campaigns. My hope is I'm going to
- 23:11Speaker 2: press for us to have a vote. I want to
- 23:12Speaker 2: put the Democrats on record. My guess is most not
- 23:16Speaker 2: all the Democrats will vote no. I don't want to
- 23:18Speaker 2: go after the funders of these riots because they won't
- 23:21Speaker 2: say this, but because we the Democrats support the riots.
- 23:24Speaker 2: But let's put them on record. Let's have them take
- 23:27Speaker 2: a position, because this ought to be a simple, common
- 23:30Speaker 2: sense position. And my suspicion is every Democrat will vote no.
- 23:34Speaker 2: But if they do, that will be highly, highly revealing.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I want to move to something else, and this is
- 23:40Speaker 1: about securing our skies, law enforcement and drones and public
- 23:45Speaker 1: safety or something. I think a lot of people are
- 23:47Speaker 1: paying attention to, especially since we really exposed this on Verdict,
- 23:51Speaker 1: where we were talking about how the cartels have got
- 23:56Speaker 1: an amazing ability to use drones. Now they are heavily
- 24:01Speaker 1: advanced and and and have advanced invested in this technology
- 24:05Speaker 1: for drones to be able to see what we're doing
- 24:07Speaker 1: on our side of the border, see when border patrol
- 24:09Speaker 1: agans are on going one direction or the others, they
- 24:11Speaker 1: can get people across, drugs across.
- 24:14Speaker 4: It's incredible.
- 24:15Speaker 1: There's also another national security standpoint on drones as well.
- 24:19Speaker 1: We've witnessed what drones have becoming this war with Russia
- 24:21Speaker 1: and Ukraine, and it terrifies me what we're seeing now
- 24:25Speaker 1: with drone technology and how drones are changing warfare. UH
- 24:31Speaker 1: and unfortunately you're seeing it have a massive impact on
- 24:35Speaker 1: the number of casualis between Russia and Ukraine.
- 24:38Speaker 4: You combine those.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Two things, the cartels, the drugs, the human trafficking, sex trafficking,
- 24:43Speaker 1: child trafficking, the fetanyl and uh, the war aspect of this,
- 24:48Speaker 1: and there's a nefarious individual's isis how kind of the
- 24:51Speaker 1: list goes on and on. You guys are looking at
- 24:54Speaker 1: this from an issue of we got to secure our
- 24:56Speaker 1: skies with this new legislation that you're advocating for.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Talk about that, well, war often foreshadows the next threats
- 25:04Speaker 2: we will face, the next threats we will face from terrorism,
- 25:07Speaker 2: the next threats we will face from criminal attacks, and
- 25:10Speaker 2: you're right the war in Ukraine right now. If you
- 25:13Speaker 2: look at how drones are being used, it illustrates the
- 25:16Speaker 2: profound threat. We had a hearing this week in the
- 25:19Speaker 2: Senate Judiciary Committee. I raised some questions on this. I
- 25:23Speaker 2: laid this out. Give a listen to what I had
- 25:25Speaker 2: to say in the Judiciary Committee hearing this week. In
- 25:28Speaker 2: twenty twenty four, Thomas Crooks flew a drone over a
- 25:32Speaker 2: Trump rally site for eleven minutes, scouting the grounds before
- 25:37Speaker 2: his attempted assassination of President Trump.
- 25:40Speaker 4: That same year, drones.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Hovered over Naval Air Station Fort Worth for more than
- 25:47Speaker 2: two hours unintercepted. At our southern border, cartels now operate
- 25:55Speaker 2: drone fleet, smuggling fentanyl, coordinating illegal crossings, and jamming US surveillance.
- 26:02Speaker 2: They form specialized drone units. They've dropped bombs, They've deployed jammers.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Drones right now are outpacing our law enforcement at every turn.
- 26:19Speaker 2: In our prisons, drones drop weapons, phones, and fentanyl, arming
- 26:27Speaker 2: inmates and fueling the deadliest drug epidemic in American history.
- 26:33Speaker 2: And here's the most damning part. Cartels right now have
- 26:39Speaker 2: more drone capability than American law enforcement. Let me repeat
- 26:44Speaker 2: that cartels today have more drone capability than American law enforcement.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Mister Hardy, you work at the intersection of law and
- 26:56Speaker 2: policy regarding drones at the DOJ. Is it true that
- 27:02Speaker 2: only a handful of federal agents under narrow legal authority
- 27:06Speaker 2: can intercept or disable a drone?
- 27:09Speaker 4: Thank you, Senator.
- 27:10Speaker 5: That is generally true under the twenty eighteen Act that
- 27:15Speaker 5: gives DHS and DHS a DJ authority to conduct detection
- 27:20Speaker 5: and mitigration operation.
- 27:22Speaker 1: That shocking, Centator, that's it, Like you want to talk
- 27:26Speaker 1: about being behind me the eight ball like good grief.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yes, And it's not just that. The hearing we also
- 27:32Speaker 2: got into the fact that federal law enforcement is highly
- 27:35Speaker 2: limited and actually stayed in. Local law enforcement is even
- 27:38Speaker 2: more limited. So understand the threat we're going to face.
- 27:42Speaker 2: We are going to see a major terrorist attack carried
- 27:45Speaker 2: out by drones. We are going to see people killed
- 27:50Speaker 2: via drones. We may see a drone flown into a
- 27:54Speaker 2: commercial airline. We are going to see I believe political
- 27:59Speaker 2: leaders assassinated using drones. The threats are massive, and right now,
- 28:05Speaker 2: the authority of law enforcements take out a drone. If
- 28:09Speaker 2: there's a drone that is over a sports stadium for
- 28:13Speaker 2: a football game, a baseball game, a World Cup game,
- 28:17Speaker 2: right now there is extremely limited, almost no authority to
- 28:20Speaker 2: take out that drone, even moments before it detonates a bomb,
- 28:27Speaker 2: or distributes a bioweapon, or engages in some other act
- 28:32Speaker 2: of terrorism.
- 28:34Speaker 4: This is the most scary.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I think part about red tape with government is if
- 28:38Speaker 1: you see a threat and it's there, it's almost like
- 28:41Speaker 1: you have to hope that law enforcement would just say
- 28:44Speaker 1: I'll deal with one of the consequences later because I
- 28:46Speaker 1: know I'm doing the right thing, and you worry that
- 28:49Speaker 1: people are like, well, hold on a second, you can't
- 28:51Speaker 1: do that. You don't have the authority, and then the
- 28:52Speaker 1: worst case scenario happens.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Look, and this hearing is driving we need legislation that
- 28:58Speaker 2: gives law enforcement the authority to protect us, to take
- 29:01Speaker 2: out drones, to take out drones that are a threat
- 29:04Speaker 2: to airplanes. I am very concerned about an aviation accident
- 29:08Speaker 2: of a drone getting in the way of a commercial aircraft.
- 29:12Speaker 2: We need authority to take out drones that pose a
- 29:15Speaker 2: threat to civilians, pose a threat to sports gatherings, pose
- 29:20Speaker 2: a threat. As I laid out the assassination attempt on
- 29:25Speaker 2: Donald Trump, the assassin who shot President Trump used a
- 29:30Speaker 2: drone initially to scout it out. This is coming and
- 29:35Speaker 2: it is dangerous, and I think we have a responsibility
- 29:38Speaker 2: to act and to act. There's a long phenomenon that
- 29:42Speaker 2: when it comes to warfare, generals far too often fight
- 29:46Speaker 2: the last war rather than the next war. If you
- 29:50Speaker 2: look at the war in Ukraine, it gives us a
- 29:52Speaker 2: window into the future because drones allow for asymmetric attacks
- 29:57Speaker 2: for those who lack power to use a four hundred
- 30:02Speaker 2: dollars drone to take out a multimillion dollar tank or
- 30:06Speaker 2: a multimillion dollar fighter jet. That asymmetry is dangerous and
- 30:12Speaker 2: I think we need real leadership, real leadership on the
- 30:14Speaker 2: part of the Trump administration, real leadership on the part
- 30:17Speaker 2: of Congress to enhance our ability to stop dangerous drones
- 30:22Speaker 2: and to recognize this is the next frontier for warfare,
- 30:28Speaker 2: for terrorism, and for threats of violence against civilians across
- 30:33Speaker 2: this country.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Final question on this, do you believe this is at
- 30:37Speaker 1: least one of those issues where you can get bipartisan support,
- 30:40Speaker 1: that this won't be Republican to v Democrat and make
- 30:43Speaker 1: this so hard to do.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Our Democrats on board with us because it's a national
- 30:48Speaker 4: security issue.
- 30:49Speaker 2: So I hope. So I don't know yet if Democrats
- 30:52Speaker 2: will be willing to work together.
- 30:53Speaker 4: It should be.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I mean, this ought to be a level of common
- 30:56Speaker 2: sense that people would recognize. This threat is not a
- 30:59Speaker 2: part of threat. It's not a right wing threat or
- 31:01Speaker 2: a left wing threat. It's a vulnerability we have as
- 31:04Speaker 2: a society. And so I'm certainly going to try to
- 31:07Speaker 2: get Democrats and Republicans to come together, but I will
- 31:09Speaker 2: say it as early so we don't know for sure,
- 31:12Speaker 2: but this ought to be an issue that brings us
- 31:14Speaker 2: all together.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a great point. Don't forget we did this
