- 0:00Speaker 1: Center. Nice to be with you here today. You just
- 0:02Speaker 1: got back in from Washington, d C. And there is
- 0:05Speaker 1: some serious news that's broken this week that I think
- 0:08Speaker 1: a lot of people don't realize it's happening, and that
- 0:11Speaker 1: is the disastrous policies of the Biden administration are really
- 0:14Speaker 1: coming back to haness and it's now dealing with the
- 0:17Speaker 1: national security issue. It's not just the policies with Ukraine
- 0:21Speaker 1: and Russia, it's also now dealing with Iran. And there
- 0:24Speaker 1: were some questions that you asked, and I want to
- 0:27Speaker 1: play this for people because I think it's so important.
- 0:29Speaker 1: You were talking about the massive disaster that was, in
- 0:33Speaker 1: fact the nord Stream pipeline and not having sanctions early enough.
- 0:37Speaker 1: For everybody that's listening, and if you're watching this, this
- 0:41Speaker 1: was a moment that I think it's going to come
- 0:43Speaker 1: back to haunt this administration for a long time. Let's
- 0:45Speaker 1: take a look. Thank you, missus, Chairman, welcome teach of
- 0:49Speaker 1: the witnesses, Miss Newland. As you know, in January of
- 0:55Speaker 1: last year, the Senate voted on my legislation to impost
- 0:59Speaker 1: sanction on the Nordstream two pipeline, and it did so
- 1:03Speaker 1: before Russia had invaded Ukraine. When the Senate voted on
- 1:08Speaker 1: those sanctions, President Zelenski publicly urged, even begged, the United
- 1:13Speaker 1: States Senate to pass those sanctions, and President Zelensky said
- 1:18Speaker 1: passing those sanctions then were the last chance to prevent
- 1:24Speaker 1: Russia from invading Ukraine, the last chance to prevent Russian
- 1:30Speaker 1: tanks rolling into Ukraine. Was President Zolenski wrong, Senator Cruz,
- 1:42Speaker 1: like you, I am, and I think the administration is
- 1:46Speaker 1: very gratified to know that Nordstream two is now, as
- 1:49Speaker 1: you like to say, a hunk of metal at the
- 1:51Speaker 1: bottom of the sea. I personally, having been involved, along
- 1:55Speaker 1: with my boss, Secretary Lincoln, in all of those negotiations
- 1:58Speaker 1: with Russia to to prevent this war in December, do
- 2:03Speaker 1: not believe that had that Nordstream two been cut off
- 2:07Speaker 1: in January, that would have been decisive for Putin. It
- 2:10Speaker 1: was important that the day the war began the Germans
- 2:13Speaker 1: cut the pipeline, as did the rest of the Europeans.
- 2:15Speaker 1: But he was bound and determined to go into Ukraine
- 2:18Speaker 1: as yourself, So you believe Zelenski was wrong when he
- 2:21Speaker 1: said stopping Nordstream two was the last and best way
- 2:26Speaker 1: to stop this war. I don't think it would have
- 2:28Speaker 1: stopped Putin. And you know, and when the government when
- 2:31Speaker 1: the government of Poland similarly said begged the United States
- 2:35Speaker 1: Senate to pass those sanctions and said this is the
- 2:38Speaker 1: last and best opportunity to stop Russia from invading Ukraine.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You believe Poland was wrong too. I do not believe
- 2:44Speaker 1: we would have prevented this war had the Europeans acted
- 2:47Speaker 1: faster on Nordstream two. I wish it were the case. Wow, Senator,
- 2:52Speaker 1: go back through this timeline, because this is now the
- 2:56Speaker 1: chickens coming home to Ruce for everybody that got it wrong. Well,
- 3:01Speaker 1: Joe Biden caused the war in Ukraine. It is because
- 3:05Speaker 1: of the foreign policy failures of this president that we're
- 3:10Speaker 1: seeing the biggest land war in Europe since World War Two.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And in particular, what I was asking that was a
- 3:17Speaker 1: hearing in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that happened yesterday,
- 3:20Speaker 1: and that is the Under Secretary of State, Victoria Newland,
- 3:23Speaker 1: who was testifying. And this administration now has elevated President
- 3:30Speaker 1: Zelenski to the status of a modern day saints. He's
- 3:33Speaker 1: been canonized already and the Democrats have taken to singing
- 3:39Speaker 1: his praises NonStop. And the point I was making here
- 3:42Speaker 1: is wait a second. Zelenski was begging for your help
- 3:47Speaker 1: before the war started in order to prevent it, and
- 3:51Speaker 1: you refuse to help. And what's the backstory? Listen, Putin
- 3:55Speaker 1: has wanted to invade Ukraine for a long long time.
- 3:59Speaker 1: He wanted to invade when Trump was president, and you're
- 4:01Speaker 1: not to do it well. And one of the big
- 4:04Speaker 1: reasons he didn't you look at. In twenty fourteen, Putin
- 4:09Speaker 1: invaded Ukraine, invaded Crimea, the southern portion of Ukraine, but
- 4:13Speaker 1: he stopped short. Why because going into all of Ukraine
- 4:17Speaker 1: risks the natural gas pipelines that run right through Ukraine,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and Russia gets a huge portion of its revenue from
- 4:27Speaker 1: selling natural gas and oil, and it needs to be
- 4:30Speaker 1: able to get that natural gas to Europe through Ukraine.
- 4:33Speaker 1: The next year, in twenty fifteen, Putin began what's called
- 4:36Speaker 1: Nordstream two. It's an undersea pipeline that goes from Russia
- 4:40Speaker 1: to Germany. The entire purpose of it is to circumvent
- 4:44Speaker 1: Ukraine so that he could invade Ukraine and not have
- 4:46Speaker 1: to worry about getting gas to market. In twenty nineteen,
- 4:50Speaker 1: I introduced and passed legislation to sanction the Nordstream to
- 4:56Speaker 1: pipeline to shut it down before it was built. That
- 5:00Speaker 1: legislation passed, I got Republicans to support it, I got
- 5:02Speaker 1: Democrats to support it. Trump signed it. The law. Putin
- 5:07Speaker 1: stopped building the Nordstream to pipeline literally the day Donald
- 5:12Speaker 1: Trump signed my sanctions legislation. That day the pipeline stopped.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It was dormant. It was dead, as Victoria Nowland noted,
- 5:22Speaker 1: as I've said many times, it was a hunk of
- 5:24Speaker 1: metal at the bottom of the sea for over a year.
- 5:29Speaker 1: In December of twenty twenty, I introduced and passed a
- 5:33Speaker 1: second set of sanctions legislations to sanction Nordstream even further
- 5:37Speaker 1: to make sure Putin didn't resume building the pipeline. And
- 5:41Speaker 1: you knew this was so important because of the financial
- 5:45Speaker 1: side of this for Russia, and you were thinking ahead
- 5:48Speaker 1: like anybody should on an issue like it was the
- 5:51Speaker 1: way to stop Putin from invading Ukraine. Joe Biden becomes
- 5:56Speaker 1: president January twentieth, twenty twenty one. Four days later, January
- 6:02Speaker 1: twenty fourth, twenty twenty one, Putin resumes deep sea construction
- 6:08Speaker 1: of Nordstream two. It literally took four days to reverse
- 6:13Speaker 1: what we had accomplished under Donald Trump. Putin returned to
- 6:16Speaker 1: building the pipeline. Why because Biden foreshadowed weakness. Then later
- 6:22Speaker 1: in twenty twenty one, Biden formally waived sanctions on nord
- 6:26Speaker 1: Stream two. He basically gave Vladimir Putin a multi billion
- 6:31Speaker 1: dollars gift and caused the Ukraine War. Well, the question
- 6:35Speaker 1: I just asked there. In January of last year of
- 6:41Speaker 1: twenty twenty two, I forced to vote on the Senate
- 6:44Speaker 1: floor to reimpose those sanctions on nord Stream two, the
- 6:48Speaker 1: sanctions that had worked. Every Senate Democrat had voted with
- 6:54Speaker 1: me not just once, but twice in twenty nineteen and
- 6:57Speaker 1: twenty twenty in favor of those sanctions. The day of
- 7:01Speaker 1: the vote, Joe Biden came to Capitol Hill and he
- 7:05Speaker 1: personally lobbied the Senate Democrats. It's the only time I
- 7:08Speaker 1: know of that he's done so since he's been president,
- 7:10Speaker 1: asking them, please vote against Cruz's sanctions, vote in favor
- 7:16Speaker 1: of Russia, vote in favor of Putin. When that happened,
- 7:22Speaker 1: President Zelenski publicly pleaded with the United States Senate please
- 7:28Speaker 1: pass cruzes legislation. It's the only way to stop Russia
- 7:32Speaker 1: from invading Ukraine. Poland, the government of Poland formally put
- 7:37Speaker 1: out a statement asking the Senate to pass my legislation.
- 7:41Speaker 1: They said it was the way to stop Russia from
- 7:44Speaker 1: invading Ukraine. They said, if you don't pass it, Russia
- 7:47Speaker 1: will invade Ukraine. Forty four Democrats decided to put partisan
- 7:52Speaker 1: loyalty above national security. They voted for Putin, they voted
- 7:56Speaker 1: for Russia, they voted against sanctions, and just a few
- 8:00Speaker 1: weeks later, Russian tanks rolled into Ukraine. And so that's
- 8:04Speaker 1: what I was asking her. Is Zelenski, who you have
- 8:07Speaker 1: said is a modern day saint. Was he wrong when
- 8:12Speaker 1: he told you we could avoid this whole damn war
- 8:16Speaker 1: if you just imposed the sanctions, and she was forced
- 8:20Speaker 1: to say yes, I think he was wrong, because the
- 8:22Speaker 1: alternative is to admit Joe Biden screwed this whole thing
- 8:26Speaker 1: up and caused this war to begin with. You mentioned weakness, right,
- 8:31Speaker 1: that they were the foreshadowing, and they understood. Okay, Joe
- 8:33Speaker 1: Biden's week and Vladimir Putin said I'm going to start
- 8:36Speaker 1: this four days after he becomes president. Again, You're saying
- 8:39Speaker 1: we got to do the sanctions here. But the question
- 8:42Speaker 1: I know everybody wants to ask is what was in
- 8:45Speaker 1: this for the president? Why was it so important to him?
- 8:48Speaker 1: And before you answer that question, I want to remind
- 8:50Speaker 1: people about Patriot Mobile. Patriot Mobile is an incredible company,
- 8:54Speaker 1: a conservative Christian phone company. If you have a cell
- 8:59Speaker 1: phone with a big tech you can switch it to
- 9:02Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile. Not only can you save money, but every
- 9:05Speaker 1: time you use your phone and every time you pay
- 9:07Speaker 1: your bill, you're actually supporting the causes that we all
- 9:10Speaker 1: believe in the first the second Medment right, protecting the
- 9:13Speaker 1: unborn children this country, and even helping now with adoptions.
- 9:17Speaker 1: If you've never checked out Patriot Mobile, go to Patriot
- 9:20Speaker 1: Mobile dot com slash verdict. That's Patriot Mobile dot com
- 9:25Speaker 1: slash verdict. Check them out, make the switch and make
- 9:29Speaker 1: a difference with every phone call. Now, Senator, I go
- 9:32Speaker 1: back to what I was saying a second ago. What
- 9:34Speaker 1: was in it for him? Why would he be saying
- 9:37Speaker 1: I want to get this deal done, because this is
- 9:39Speaker 1: what a foreign lobbyist for Russia would be advocating for.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And yet the presence one who goes to the hill,
- 9:45Speaker 1: as you mentioned, it to put it in perspective, and
- 9:48Speaker 1: this was something so important to him. He needed to
- 9:50Speaker 1: meet personally with all these senators to give the best
- 9:53Speaker 1: deal you could give to the Russians. Look, I don't
- 9:56Speaker 1: know why he wanted to. I think there are a
- 10:00Speaker 1: couple of theories. Biden came in on foreign policy with
- 10:05Speaker 1: the assumption everything Trump did was wrong. If he did
- 10:08Speaker 1: one thing, let's reverse it and listen. That's not unique
- 10:12Speaker 1: to Biden. Most presidents come in and if the opposing
- 10:14Speaker 1: party did something, they often want to reverse it. So
- 10:17Speaker 1: I get that instinct. But here this had been a
- 10:23Speaker 1: massive bipartisan victory that Joe Biden threw away. By the way,
- 10:28Speaker 1: you know who agrees with that, Victoria Newland. She argued
- 10:32Speaker 1: passionately for Biden to impose those sanctions. She got over ruled.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Tony blink In, the Secretary of State, argued passionately for
- 10:39Speaker 1: Biden to impose those sanctions. He got overruled by the
- 10:42Speaker 1: White House. And you know the other reason I would
- 10:45Speaker 1: give the Biden White House on foreign policy. They've been
- 10:50Speaker 1: spectacularly wrong on almost every single aspect of foreign policy,
- 10:54Speaker 1: and not just little blunders, massive blunders. I think we
- 10:57Speaker 1: need to remind people you have Afghanistan, you have this
- 11:01Speaker 1: this war on the biggest moments on the stage and
- 11:05Speaker 1: he remember, he said, I'm the guy I've been around,
- 11:08Speaker 1: I was, I was on the Foreign relations, I've done
- 11:11Speaker 1: all this as the vice president. That was what he
- 11:13Speaker 1: ran on. It reminds me of something Reagan said about liberals,
- 11:17Speaker 1: which is, it's not what they know, it's that so
- 11:22Speaker 1: so much of what they know just isn't so. The
- 11:29Speaker 1: Biden foreign policy team came in as smug enlightened. They said,
- 11:34Speaker 1: the adults are in charge. Yeah, and and part of
- 11:38Speaker 1: their view is is Germany can do no wrong. My
- 11:43Speaker 1: national security advisor jokes that the Biden foreign policy team
- 11:47Speaker 1: slept with votive candles of Angela Merkel under their beds,
- 11:51Speaker 1: like like they just and Germany wanted this pipeline because
- 11:54Speaker 1: they just wanted the money. They didn't care about anything else.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Give us the money. Screw Ukraine. Germany was terrible on this,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and the Biden White House decided, well, let's pile around
- 12:05Speaker 1: with Germany and never mind that it's giving a huge
- 12:09Speaker 1: multi billion dollar gift to putin. And they didn't understand,
- 12:13Speaker 1: They fundamentally don't understand weakness is provocative. They think if
- 12:18Speaker 1: they're really weak and really nice to Putin, he'll just
- 12:21Speaker 1: smile and go away. And so they thought, well, if
- 12:24Speaker 1: we give him this multi billion dollar gift, why would
- 12:26Speaker 1: he invade Ukraine. We've given him everything he wants, And
- 12:29Speaker 1: they don't understand that the way you deal with bullies
- 12:32Speaker 1: is strength rather than weakness. But it's even worse than that.
- 12:37Speaker 1: We're now a year into this war and the Joe
- 12:41Speaker 1: Biden administration is in many ways playing both sides of
- 12:47Speaker 1: the war. And I want to turn to an additional
- 12:53Speaker 1: set of questions from the hearing yesterday, because the Biden
- 12:57Speaker 1: administration desperately wants to cut a new nuclear deal with Iran,
- 13:02Speaker 1: and it's willing to have billions of dollars flow into Iran,
- 13:07Speaker 1: which has happened under Joe Biden, and to have that
- 13:11Speaker 1: money be used in support of Putin and Russia in
- 13:15Speaker 1: the war in Ukraine, because they're so obsessed with Iran.
- 13:19Speaker 1: So here play the questions. Let's talk about Iran's supply
- 13:23Speaker 1: of drones to Russia. The Biden administration made an immediate
- 13:26Speaker 1: decision to go to the United Nations and drop the
- 13:29Speaker 1: General UN arms embargo on Iran because they say it
- 13:32Speaker 1: was required by the original JCPOA nuclear deal. Biden officials
- 13:37Speaker 1: say part of the embargo dealing with drones is still
- 13:40Speaker 1: in place, but even that measure will expire this fall
- 13:43Speaker 1: pursuant to the JCPPA. I believe the Biden administration should
- 13:48Speaker 1: immediately go to the UN invoke our snapback authority and
- 13:52Speaker 1: keep the embargo in place. Do you agree or do
- 13:55Speaker 1: you believe we should allow the UN arms embargo on
- 13:58Speaker 1: Iran to expire and allow Iranian drones to continue to
- 14:03Speaker 1: go to Russia and be used against the people of Ukraine.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Time of the senator is exparba. Please answer his question.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Thank you, Senator Cruz. You are absolutely right that Iranian
- 14:16Speaker 1: drones are fueling this war, and that is why we
- 14:19Speaker 1: have taken many, many increased sanctions measures against Iran over
- 14:24Speaker 1: the last couple of months, including against the IRGC GUARDCOREPS
- 14:29Speaker 1: Aerospace Force, the Kuds Force, aviation industry, the Shahid aviation industry,
- 14:34Speaker 1: Russian aerospace forces. Have you stopped the drones? We have
- 14:39Speaker 1: not stopped the drones, and this is part of the problem.
- 14:42Speaker 1: We've not stopped the drones. This is part of the problem.
- 14:45Speaker 1: So people understand, as it was just said there, the
- 14:48Speaker 1: drones are fueling this war in Ukraine. In other words,
- 14:53Speaker 1: there's a lot of weapons that Ukraine's gotten from the
- 14:55Speaker 1: international community to fight back. Russia's using these drones coming
- 14:59Speaker 1: in from Iran to kill innocent people, women, children, anybody
- 15:03Speaker 1: they want to target from the air. And this is
- 15:05Speaker 1: basically one of their best weapons they have in this
- 15:08Speaker 1: entire last year the conflict, and it's coming from Iran.
- 15:11Speaker 1: So the Biden administration is effectively funding both sides of
- 15:15Speaker 1: this war. Let's say that again, because that's serious news.
- 15:19Speaker 1: The Biden administration is effectively funding both sides of this war.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Why well, they flooded billions of dollars into Ukraine and
- 15:29Speaker 1: President Zelenski. Some of it has gone to weapons being
- 15:32Speaker 1: used to fight the war, much of it has gone
- 15:34Speaker 1: into the government, including in places in the government where
- 15:37Speaker 1: corruption is endemic and a serious problem. But at the
- 15:41Speaker 1: same time they've also lifted sanctions on Iran and have
- 15:46Speaker 1: flowed billions of dollars into Iran. And Iran is turned
- 15:51Speaker 1: around and it's sending drones to Russia to use to
- 15:56Speaker 1: kill Ukrainians. And by the way, one component of what
- 16:01Speaker 1: Joe Biden has done with Iran. We had in place
- 16:05Speaker 1: under Trump sanctions on their oil sales. I pressed the
- 16:09Speaker 1: Trump administration to impose those sanctions. Those sanctions had effectively
- 16:14Speaker 1: shut down oil sales for Iran. Joe Biden has essentially
- 16:20Speaker 1: refused to enforce those sanctions. So today the Ayatollah is
- 16:26Speaker 1: selling over a million barrels a day of oil because
- 16:30Speaker 1: Joe Biden is letting him and the money even though
- 16:34Speaker 1: they're sanctions. Yes, because Biden won't enforce the sanctions, the sanctions.
- 16:41Speaker 1: The Biden foreign policy is simple, screw our friends and
- 16:45Speaker 1: show weakness to our enemies. That's what they do. So literally,
- 16:50Speaker 1: the drones that are killing Ukrainian soldiers are from Iran
- 16:57Speaker 1: and are essentially paid for by the Biden administration lifting
- 17:02Speaker 1: sanctions on Iran. It is assinine and it's because they're
- 17:07Speaker 1: not serious about this. When they engage in foreign policy,
- 17:11Speaker 1: it's virtue signaling. It's not focused on American national security,
- 17:16Speaker 1: it's not focused on our interest, It's focused on whatever
- 17:20Speaker 1: will make the Biden foreign policy team popular in the
- 17:23Speaker 1: faculty lounge at whatever university they want to go back to.
- 17:27Speaker 1: And I gotta say, it's just nuts. To be funding
- 17:32Speaker 1: both sides of a war. Last question on this. People
- 17:36Speaker 1: hear that they're sanctions and they say, as you just mentioned,
- 17:39Speaker 1: they're not being enforced. Is there any mechanism for Congress
- 17:43Speaker 1: to be able to say, hey, guys, you're not enforcing
- 17:47Speaker 1: these sanctions. We obviously probably know who's buying this oil.
- 17:50Speaker 1: That wouldn't be hard to figure that out. There's bad
- 17:53Speaker 1: actors involved here? Or is this basically I'm the president. Yes,
- 17:57Speaker 1: they're sanctions. If I don't want to enforce them, I
- 17:59Speaker 1: don't have to. So yes, Congress could definitely do that.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I've introduced legislation to do exactly that. The problem is
- 18:07Speaker 1: the Senate Democrats all support Joe Biden. No matter how
- 18:10Speaker 1: bad the foreign policy is, they vote in favor of Biden. Look,
- 18:14Speaker 1: when Trump was president, I brought together Republicans and Democrats
- 18:22Speaker 1: to overwhelmingly pass sanctions on Nordstream two. All those same
- 18:28Speaker 1: Democrats that voted for sanctions not once but twice. They
- 18:31Speaker 1: voted for it in twenty nineteen, they voted again for
- 18:32Speaker 1: it in twenty twenty. In twenty twenty two when they
- 18:36Speaker 1: voted against sanctions, the only thing that had changed was
- 18:41Speaker 1: the letter behind the president's name instead of an R,
- 18:44Speaker 1: it was a D. And they were more than happy
- 18:47Speaker 1: to vote for sanctions when Trump was president. But once
- 18:49Speaker 1: Biden was president and he had decided he wanted to
- 18:52Speaker 1: give in the putin, the Democrats weren't willing to stand up,
- 18:56Speaker 1: stand up, and do the right thing. There's gonna be
- 18:58Speaker 1: a lot of Americans are frustrated over this because we're
- 19:00Speaker 1: sending so much money, so much aid, and like you said,
- 19:04Speaker 1: we're basically funding both sides of this war, all because
- 19:07Speaker 1: they're too dumb to realize that they're doing this. And
- 19:09Speaker 1: I'm not even sure he understands exactly how ridiculous ideology
- 19:12Speaker 1: trumps everything, and their ideology their objective ideologically is By
- 19:19Speaker 1: the way, this White House is fundamentally okay with Iran
- 19:23Speaker 1: getting a nuclear weapon. They believe America has no right
- 19:28Speaker 1: to determine who has nuclear weapons. By the way, that's nonsense.
- 19:31Speaker 1: When the Ayatola chance death to America and death to Israel.
- 19:35Speaker 1: We're to do everything necessary to make sure that lunatic
- 19:38Speaker 1: never gets a nuclear weapon, because I don't want to
- 19:40Speaker 1: risk his using it to murder millions of Americans. But
- 19:44Speaker 1: that's actually an America first, foreign policy that's focused on
- 19:49Speaker 1: defending America. When it comes to Biden, it is essentially
- 19:54Speaker 1: an America Last foreign policy. And they don't mind them
- 19:59Speaker 1: having a nuclear and that's why they're obsessed with this
- 20:01Speaker 1: deal so much. Yeah. Again, it's a faculty lounge foreign policy.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It's whatever is popular with left wing professors who you
- 20:11Speaker 1: believe that if you just put daisies in the barrels
- 20:14Speaker 1: of machine guns and make love not war and give
- 20:17Speaker 1: piece a chance, that that's the solution. And what they
- 20:21Speaker 1: do not understand is weakness is provocative. I believe in
- 20:26Speaker 1: peace through strength. There's a reason nobody goes and gets
- 20:32Speaker 1: a degree from the Neville Chamberlain School of Foreign Affairs
- 20:36Speaker 1: because appeasement work doesn't work. These guys fundamentally don't understand that. Well,
- 20:42Speaker 1: you're dealing with this real issue. There's another issue that
- 20:45Speaker 1: the media has been freaking out over. That is Democrats
- 20:49Speaker 1: being thrown off committees, not getting committee seats. Say want
- 20:52Speaker 1: this is supposed to be what America is supposed to
- 20:55Speaker 1: care about. Right now? You actually predicted this last year,
- 21:00Speaker 1: and we have that tweet of you predicting that Democrats
- 21:03Speaker 1: were going to freak out. Nancy Pelosi's furious over this
- 21:06Speaker 1: as well. And I want to play for deal Pelosi
- 21:09Speaker 1: first so that they can see what she said. And
- 21:11Speaker 1: you actually predicted when you start schooling Republicans this way
- 21:14Speaker 1: and committees, the Republicans are going to give it right
- 21:17Speaker 1: back to you if we get back in charge. Here's Pelosi,
- 21:20Speaker 1: didn't you open the door to this? No, we said
- 21:23Speaker 1: a precedent which I hope they will follow. If they
- 21:26Speaker 1: have members as they did, we threatened the security of
- 21:30Speaker 1: our members on the committee, or a danger to our
- 21:34Speaker 1: members threatening them, then that would go off the committee.
- 21:38Speaker 1: So if they have that accusation about any of our members,
- 21:41Speaker 1: let's hear what they have to say. It was clear
- 21:44Speaker 1: that their members were a threat to our members. So
- 21:47Speaker 1: this is about maintaining safety for our members. The fact
- 21:52Speaker 1: that they want to set take these people off the
- 21:54Speaker 1: committee is more philosophic. It is philosophical. So there she is.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Look that is utter gobbedally gook. The Republicans were a threat.
- 22:05Speaker 1: We were scared. Now, mind you, these are the same
- 22:08Speaker 1: nincome poops that set up metal detectors to walk under
- 22:10Speaker 1: the floor of the House because they were afraid the
- 22:13Speaker 1: Republicans were going to shoot them. These are the same
- 22:17Speaker 1: ninnies that erected fences around the Capitol with razor wire
- 22:23Speaker 1: for months after months after months because they wanted to
- 22:26Speaker 1: convey to the American people that all Republican voters are
- 22:30Speaker 1: wild eyed terrorists who are going to march on the
- 22:32Speaker 1: Capitol and kill us all what utter crap. Oh, we
- 22:38Speaker 1: were afraid. We were afraid, you know, Marjorie Taylor Greene
- 22:43Speaker 1: was gonna go beat up Adam Schiff, like, give me
- 22:47Speaker 1: a break. But all of the catterwalling, all of the
- 22:53Speaker 1: tears were seeing. Now, I think is hysterical because, as
- 22:58Speaker 1: you noted, here's what I let's go back. You predicted
- 23:01Speaker 1: this last year. Your tweet is one that made me
- 23:05Speaker 1: laugh because if you actually watch the tweet itself, you
- 23:08Speaker 1: have the Jeff on there of the people jumping in
- 23:10Speaker 1: the hole, and so you can see that. But look
- 23:13Speaker 1: at the date down there, November thirtieth, twenty twenty one.
- 23:17Speaker 1: You say, House Democrats, you know, are basically irrationally partisan
- 23:20Speaker 1: and excitedly trying to throw Republicans off committees the chance
- 23:24Speaker 1: of the GOP retakes the House in twenty two, twenty
- 23:27Speaker 1: twenty two, are over ninety percent prediction come twenty twenty three,
- 23:31Speaker 1: swallowell omar un till even others are getting ready to
- 23:34Speaker 1: have a lot more time on their hands, meaning they're
- 23:36Speaker 1: gonna be thrown off the committees. So you said it
- 23:39Speaker 1: was gonna happen. What Pelosi did in twenty twenty one
- 23:41Speaker 1: had never happened before, which is for the majority party,
- 23:45Speaker 1: the speaker of the House, to say to the minority party,
- 23:48Speaker 1: I don't like your members, We're throwing you off the committees.
- 23:52Speaker 1: That had never happened. It was an incredible abusive power
- 23:56Speaker 1: by she did that, and then she did it again
- 23:58Speaker 1: with a so called select committee on January sixth, which
- 24:00Speaker 1: he said, no, we don't want Jim Jordan, we don't
- 24:02Speaker 1: want your members on the committee. And when they did that,
- 24:06Speaker 1: I remember looking at it and thinking, you know the
- 24:10Speaker 1: old sociology experiment with little kids where you have one
- 24:17Speaker 1: and two marshmallows and you make clear if they eat
- 24:21Speaker 1: one marshmallow they get it now, but if they can wait,
- 24:23Speaker 1: if they can defer gratification, they get two marshmallows. The
- 24:28Speaker 1: Democrats in Congress are all one marshmallow people. They could
- 24:32Speaker 1: not delay gratification. They hated the Republicans so much they're like,
- 24:36Speaker 1: throw them off committees. And I'm like what I said
- 24:39Speaker 1: in the tweet, you guys are lemmings. You're literally jumping
- 24:41Speaker 1: off a cliff because you know you're going to lose. Yeah,
- 24:46Speaker 1: November of twenty twenty one, every one of the Democrats
- 24:49Speaker 1: believed they were going to lose the House, which they did.
- 24:53Speaker 1: You know you're going to lose if you do this
- 24:56Speaker 1: to Republicans, the chances are one hundred percent they're going
- 25:00Speaker 1: to do it to you. And I named, you know,
- 25:03Speaker 1: Swallwell and Omar and you know Shift are the three
- 25:07Speaker 1: that have lost committees. And it was obvious Well and
- 25:10Speaker 1: which brings you to Adam Schiff. Now he is a
- 25:12Speaker 1: cry baby. He's out there on TikTok, which is even funnier,
- 25:16Speaker 1: begging people for money on this app that literally government
- 25:20Speaker 1: agencies are saying do not have on your phone, States
- 25:23Speaker 1: are saying on state phones, don't have it. He goes
- 25:25Speaker 1: to Chinese communist TikTok to say help me. I'm poor,
- 25:29Speaker 1: and help me. I've been kicked off committees. Take a look. Hell,
- 25:32Speaker 1: I'm Congressman Adam Schiff. With some troubling news today, Ken
- 25:36Speaker 1: McCarthy removed me from the House Intelligence Committee all for
- 25:39Speaker 1: doing my job, for holding Trump accountable and standing up
- 25:43Speaker 1: to the extreme Magarepublicans. We knew it would be bad
- 25:46Speaker 1: when the Republicans took over, but it's far worse than
- 25:49Speaker 1: we expected. But I can promise you this, this is
- 25:52Speaker 1: not the end of my fight for our democracy. This
- 25:55Speaker 1: is just the beginning. Please join us and contribute today.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Thank you. I don't even know how to assess that. Senator.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Oh look, that God has a sense of humor, and
- 26:07Speaker 1: that is irony stacked upon irony. So he was previously
- 26:12Speaker 1: the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. He demonstrated an
- 26:16Speaker 1: incredibly cavalier approach to classified documents, an incredibly dishonest approach
- 26:22Speaker 1: to that committee, and so he was removed from it.
- 26:27Speaker 1: He was removed from it because Kevin McCarthy laid out
- 26:30Speaker 1: that he believed that his lying using classified documents posed
- 26:36Speaker 1: a national security threat. It is amazing that the very
- 26:40Speaker 1: first thing he does is he goes and gets an
- 26:42Speaker 1: account on TikTok that is owned and controlled by the
- 26:45Speaker 1: Chinese government, that is an espionage tool for the Chinese government,
- 26:49Speaker 1: and he puts out a video on an espionage tool
- 26:52Speaker 1: for the Chinese government to say it's terrible that I
- 26:57Speaker 1: was thrown off the Intelligence Committee. He does it to
- 27:00Speaker 1: raise money for his campaign. And I'll also note he
- 27:04Speaker 1: uses the phrase extreme maga Republicans, which every Democrat does that.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Now you know Mitt Romney is an extreme maga Republican.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I mean, I mean it just has become but but
- 27:16Speaker 1: but there is there's a message discipline to the Democrats.
- 27:20Speaker 1: They all use those words. That's the new label extreme
- 27:24Speaker 1: magar republican. It's striking. Shifts showed precisely why. And it's
- 27:34Speaker 1: very hard when you're doing a recorded thing to say
- 27:36Speaker 1: Shift's name and and not get bleeped by the censors.
- 27:39Speaker 1: You have to enunciate carefully. Yes, um, but I think
- 27:46Speaker 1: he illustrated in his TikTok video quite nicely why removing
- 27:52Speaker 1: him from the Intelligence Committee was the right thing to do.
- 27:54Speaker 1: But you know what, don't take my word for it.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Listen to Kevin McCarthy, because what happens in the Intel Committee.
- 28:00Speaker 1: You don't know what happens in the Intel Committee. Although
- 28:02Speaker 1: the secrets are going on in the world. Other members
- 28:05Speaker 1: of Congress don't know what did Adam Schiff do as
- 28:08Speaker 1: the chairman of the Intel Committee. What Adam Schiff did
- 28:11Speaker 1: use his power as a chairman and lie to the
- 28:13Speaker 1: American public. Even the Inspector General said it. When Devin
- 28:17Speaker 1: Nowoneth put out a memo, he said it was false.
- 28:19Speaker 1: When we had a laptop, he used it before an
- 28:22Speaker 1: election to be politics and say that it was false
- 28:24Speaker 1: and said it was the Russians when he knew different
- 28:27Speaker 1: when he knew the Intel. If you talked to John Radcliffe,
- 28:32Speaker 1: D and I, he came out ahead of time and
- 28:34Speaker 1: says there's no intel to prove that. And he used
- 28:37Speaker 1: his position as chairman, knowing he has information the rest
- 28:40Speaker 1: of America does not, and lie to the American public.
- 28:43Speaker 1: When a whistleblower came forward, he said he did not
- 28:45Speaker 1: know the individual, even though his staff had met with
- 28:48Speaker 1: him and set it up. So, no, he does not
- 28:50Speaker 1: have a right to sit on that. But I will
- 28:52Speaker 1: not be like Democrats and played politics with thiefs where
- 28:55Speaker 1: they removed Republicans from committees and all committees. So yes,
- 28:59Speaker 1: he can serve on a committee, but he will not
- 29:01Speaker 1: serve on Intel because it goes to the national security
- 29:04Speaker 1: of America. It's pretty bold statement, and you go back
- 29:07Speaker 1: to Ratcliffe, it was unprecedent for the Director of National
- 29:10Speaker 1: Intelligence to come out and basically slap a Democrat who's
- 29:14Speaker 1: in charge of this committee down saying what he just
- 29:17Speaker 1: told you is not true, in is a lie. And
- 29:19Speaker 1: he had to do that at the time. That's how
- 29:21Speaker 1: partisan they had turned this into in his leadership, Adam
- 29:24Speaker 1: Shift and to say as a threat to national security?
- 29:28Speaker 1: Is this some politics in that or do you think
- 29:30Speaker 1: that there is some truth to that as well? So
- 29:32Speaker 1: one of the things to keep in mind about how
- 29:34Speaker 1: Congress works, so every member of Congress has access to
- 29:39Speaker 1: classified information in one form or another, depending on what
- 29:42Speaker 1: committees you are. All of us reviewed review classified information regularly.
- 29:48Speaker 1: That being said, the Intelligence Committee in both the House
- 29:52Speaker 1: and Senate reviews much much more sensitive material than most
- 29:58Speaker 1: other House members source senators at a higher level of classification,
- 30:02Speaker 1: at a much higher level of classification. They're reviewing materials
- 30:06Speaker 1: store next to your corvette, and you're going, exactly, that's
- 30:09Speaker 1: that's uh. Look, the Intel is regularly reviewing materials that
- 30:14Speaker 1: implicate sources and methods that, if revealed, could endanger the
- 30:18Speaker 1: lives of US operatives that are covert. Schiff, as chairman
- 30:25Speaker 1: of that committee. He had access to the most sensitive
- 30:27Speaker 1: secrets we have that most members of Congress don't get.
- 30:32Speaker 1: And it is stunning how he behaved with them because
- 30:37Speaker 1: he took that classified information he had, and he abused
- 30:41Speaker 1: that position of trust, because he went in front of
- 30:43Speaker 1: the American people and repeatedly lied about it over and
- 30:47Speaker 1: over again. Hunter Biden's laptop, he said, it's not true,
- 30:49Speaker 1: it's Russian disinformation. That was a lie, and he knew
- 30:52Speaker 1: it was, and he knew it was. He also he
- 30:56Speaker 1: nobody pushed the Russia hoax more than Adams ship, and
- 31:00Speaker 1: he knew the intelligence didn't back it up. Not only that,
- 31:03Speaker 1: we now know through the Twitter files that Shift was
- 31:06Speaker 1: actively urging Twitter to pull down anyone who disagreed with
- 31:13Speaker 1: the disinformation he was pushing. He was urging Twitter to
- 31:17Speaker 1: call anyone challenging the Devinnunis memo to call them a
- 31:21Speaker 1: Russian bot. Twitter was telling him, but wait, they're not
- 31:25Speaker 1: Russian bots. That's not, in fact accurate. But Shift didn't care.
- 31:28Speaker 1: He used that position, that access to classified information, and
- 31:33Speaker 1: he abused it. It's hard to refute somebody because so
- 31:37Speaker 1: few see this information. I think he understood that right
- 31:40Speaker 1: for people to understand the game he was playing. It
- 31:41Speaker 1: was like, who can refute me? Because there's so few
- 31:44Speaker 1: to get to see this stuff. Look, the only thing
- 31:48Speaker 1: worse Shift could have done with his access to important secrets.
- 31:54Speaker 1: About the only thing worse you could imagine him doing
- 31:57Speaker 1: is banging a Chinese spy. That would be Eric Swalwell.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'd like to do that well, but but but Schiff
- 32:03Speaker 1: had a pretty powerful defense of it. He did. He
- 32:06Speaker 1: came out, this was amazing. Take a look. I do
- 32:09Speaker 1: want to mention, with respect to mister Swawell also that I,
- 32:13Speaker 1: as he indicated, I sat in on that briefing um
- 32:16Speaker 1: and when Kevin McCarthy misrepresents it, um and uh and
- 32:23Speaker 1: does that disservice the American people, it's shameful. Mister Swawell
- 32:29Speaker 1: has served honorably on our committee, has never been accused
- 32:31Speaker 1: of any kind of wrongdoing. This is a patently unfair
- 32:35Speaker 1: smear by miss McCarthy. But that's that's what he trafficks in,
- 32:39Speaker 1: and that's that's what we're seeing. Never never been accused
- 32:42Speaker 1: of any wrongdoing except for sleeping with an actual Chinese spy.
- 32:47Speaker 1: And we're not talking theoretical. Her name was Fang Fang
- 32:50Speaker 1: And my understanding, though I have not actually seen the
- 32:55Speaker 1: classified briefing on this, but my understanding from the press
- 32:58Speaker 1: coverage is she was an actual spy working for the
- 33:01Speaker 1: Chinese Communist government, assigned to spy on Eric Swalwell. And
- 33:06Speaker 1: mind you, what are the Democrats saying, oh, let he
- 33:09Speaker 1: should be on the Intel committee. He was on the
- 33:10Speaker 1: Intelligence committee. He should have access to the most secure secrets.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Even though and listen, we've talked about on this podcast
- 33:22Speaker 1: how structurally the Democrat Party today is pro China. Their
- 33:29Speaker 1: major constituencies, they're major stakeholders, big business, big tech, big entertainment,
- 33:35Speaker 1: big big university, TikTok that they are all in bed
- 33:41Speaker 1: with China. And we've said the Democrat Party today is
- 33:44Speaker 1: in bed with China. Eric Swalwell just took that a
- 33:47Speaker 1: little too literally. I got it. There's been a lot
- 33:53Speaker 1: about classified documents, and just so people understand the abuse
- 33:57Speaker 1: here and how much he was abusing his position of power,
- 34:01Speaker 1: and I'm referring to Adam Shift here obviously, and what
- 34:04Speaker 1: he was doing. If you go in and you get
- 34:06Speaker 1: to see stuff because you're in the intel command the
- 34:08Speaker 1: house this sent side, are you allowed to walk out
- 34:12Speaker 1: legally and talk to your colleagues who do not directly
- 34:15Speaker 1: have access to that information. How does top secret information work?
- 34:20Speaker 1: Because what he was doing was basically looking at it,
- 34:23Speaker 1: making up things that didn't exist, and then telling the
- 34:26Speaker 1: entire country about it. He'd go on national television and
- 34:29Speaker 1: he would say things that were one hundred and eighty
- 34:32Speaker 1: degrees opposite what he knew to be the case. And
- 34:36Speaker 1: so he wasn't abusing it in the sense of what
- 34:41Speaker 1: Joe Biden was doing, which is leaving classified documents next
- 34:44Speaker 1: to his corvette. That's a different kind of violation. But
- 34:48Speaker 1: what he was doing was abusing his power because he
- 34:51Speaker 1: had access to that information. He had a level of
- 34:54Speaker 1: credibility that when he went on a Sunday show and
- 34:57Speaker 1: he said, here's what the intelligence tells us, people are like, oh, okay, well,
- 35:01Speaker 1: he's in a position to know. And his willingness to
- 35:07Speaker 1: just flat out lie. It reminds me of the old
- 35:10Speaker 1: backhanded compliment of Bill Clinton he's an unusually good liar. Yeah. Well,
- 35:15Speaker 1: and by the way, it speaks volumes now that in
- 35:19Speaker 1: the wake of being thrown off off the Intelligence Committee,
- 35:23Speaker 1: what is Adam Schiff doing running for Senate in the
- 35:26Speaker 1: state of California. Get it, get a promotion right, it's
- 35:30Speaker 1: he wants to he wants to come come to the
- 35:33Speaker 1: other side. He's running for Diane Feinstein's seat. So we'll
- 35:36Speaker 1: see what happens. And who knows, maybe with California Democrat
- 35:39Speaker 1: primary voters being a dishonest, hardcore left wing partisan, that
- 35:45Speaker 1: that might be a very attractive credential. Sadly with that
- 35:50Speaker 1: radicalized primary voter. Lastly, there's two quick things I want
- 35:54Speaker 1: to want to get your take on. One of them
- 35:57Speaker 1: was pretty shocking. It deals with religion. There was this
- 36:00Speaker 1: new poll put out and it's very different to see
- 36:03Speaker 1: how Republicans conservatives look at faith and how Democrats look
- 36:08Speaker 1: at faith. And I want to throw this up there
- 36:10Speaker 1: for people so they can see this because Democrats literally
- 36:13Speaker 1: have and this is again coming from David Bernstein after
- 36:17Speaker 1: looking at this poll, Democrats literally have a more favorable
- 36:20Speaker 1: view of Wicca and witches than of orthodox Judaism and Jews.
- 36:27Speaker 1: You look at Republicans the top line there, do you
- 36:30Speaker 1: have a favorable one in the following groups? Christianity, Democrats
- 36:34Speaker 1: plus twenty nine Republicans totally different plus fifty four. Now
- 36:40Speaker 1: this to me is shocking. Catholicism six percent plus for Democrats,
- 36:45Speaker 1: twenty nine for Republicans. These are numbers that terrify me
- 36:50Speaker 1: about to say, of this country and where we're heading
- 36:52Speaker 1: when it comes to lack of faith. Yeah, Look, the
- 36:54Speaker 1: Democrat party today is a party where hostility to faith
- 36:58Speaker 1: is normalized. And so this question, this was a national
- 37:02Speaker 1: poll done on you gov and it was just asked,
- 37:04Speaker 1: do you have a favorable or unfavorable view of the
- 37:07Speaker 1: following faiths? And so not controversial by the way, that's
- 37:11Speaker 1: a pretty simple question. So when you ask Democrats, they
- 37:16Speaker 1: have a favorable unfavorable view of Protestantism plus twelve. When
- 37:24Speaker 1: you ask Catholicism plus six, which means almost as many
- 37:30Speaker 1: Democrats have a negative view of Catholicism as have a
- 37:33Speaker 1: positive view. By the way, contrast that to Buddhism, Yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 1: where Democrats have a plus twenty nine. So Democrats are
- 37:44Speaker 1: much much more hostile to Catholics than they are to
- 37:48Speaker 1: Buddhism or Agnostics. Let's take a look at agnostics plus
- 37:52Speaker 1: twenty four. They love them some agnostics. Yet you look
- 37:56Speaker 1: at Amash for example, look at the difference between Republicans
- 37:58Speaker 1: and Democrats. There negative one for Democrats plus twenty four
- 38:03Speaker 1: for Republicans, Atheists Democrats plus thirteen. But then it's interesting
- 38:12Speaker 1: Southern Baptist. You and I are both Southern Baptists minus seventeen.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Democrats hate them, some Southern Baptists, And it really is striking.
- 38:23Speaker 1: So if you look at Orthodox Judaism, Democrats have a
- 38:29Speaker 1: negative three view of Orthodox Judaism, which means more Democrats
- 38:35Speaker 1: have a negative view of Orthodox Jews than positive view.
- 38:38Speaker 1: What is their view of Wickawicko, by the way, is witchcraft? Yes,
- 38:42Speaker 1: and that would be plus two, so it is it
- 38:44Speaker 1: is true. They literally have a more favorable view of
- 38:48Speaker 1: witchcraft than Orthodox Judaism. And I got to say this is,
- 38:54Speaker 1: by the way, Democrats also for Mormons, have a negative
- 39:01Speaker 1: twenty seven. So they hate Mormons, they hate Southern Baptists,
- 39:05Speaker 1: but they love Buddhists, they love Atheists, they love Agnostics,
- 39:09Speaker 1: and they even love witches more than Orthodox Jews. This
- 39:14Speaker 1: is frightening. This is frightening. It explains some of the
- 39:18Speaker 1: divide in our country because the numbers are very very different.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Party affiliation is a good predictor for what you think
- 39:26Speaker 1: about faith. But but I gotta say, I sincerely wish
- 39:34Speaker 1: both parties respected people of faith, and we're willing to
- 39:39Speaker 1: defend your right to live according to your faith and
- 39:42Speaker 1: your conscience. And the hostility Democrats have towards faith. This
- 39:47Speaker 1: is some of why its traditional values is traditional families.
- 39:51Speaker 1: It's traditional what makes I think America great. That's what
- 39:56Speaker 1: the Democratic Party is saying. We are openly and adamantly against,
- 40:00Speaker 1: and that should be saying I think people should be
- 40:02Speaker 1: looking at in elections moving forward. There's one other video
- 40:05Speaker 1: I have to I have to show everybody because it's
- 40:08Speaker 1: just too good not to. You've got and you and
- 40:12Speaker 1: I were laughing about this before the show, because if
- 40:14Speaker 1: you want to know how easy it is to get
- 40:17Speaker 1: a job, to get nominated for a good job and
- 40:20Speaker 1: the Biden administration, just look at this video of some
- 40:25Speaker 1: simple questions being asked to some nominees and a senator.
- 40:28Speaker 1: And this is this week. This is a hearing of
- 40:31Speaker 1: the Senate Judiciary Committee this week for a Biden nominee
- 40:35Speaker 1: to be a federal judge. So presumably your nominee to
- 40:38Speaker 1: be a federal judge something. Yeah, come on, a big deal.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Let's see how it went. Thank you, mister Chairman, and
- 40:45Speaker 1: congratulations to all of you. Judge on the far end,
- 40:57Speaker 1: tell me what article five of the Constitution does. Article
- 41:05Speaker 1: five is not coming to mind at the moment. Okay,
- 41:08Speaker 1: how about Article two? Neither is article two? Okay, do
- 41:21Speaker 1: you know what purposivism is? In my twelve years as
- 41:30Speaker 1: an assistant Attorney General and my nine years serving as
- 41:34Speaker 1: a judge, I was not faced with that precise question.
- 41:39Speaker 1: We are the highest trial court in Washington State, so
- 41:42Speaker 1: I'm frequently faced with issues that I'm not familiar with,
- 41:46Speaker 1: and I thoroughly review the law, our research, and apply
- 41:51Speaker 1: the law to the facts presented to me. Well, you're
- 41:53Speaker 1: going to be faced with it as if you're confirmed.
- 41:56Speaker 1: I can assure you that. Look, I gotta say, this
- 42:01Speaker 1: woman is wildly unqualified to be a judge. And let's
- 42:07Speaker 1: talk about So the Constitution has seven articles. John Kennedy,
- 42:16Speaker 1: who is a dear friend. He's a brilliant legal scholar.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Actually he has you know, a bit of an accent
- 42:21Speaker 1: and kind of does a Mattlocke, you know, good old boy.
- 42:24Speaker 1: But he's wicked smart. And his question he begins with
- 42:29Speaker 1: Article five. Look, Article five is the article in the
- 42:31Speaker 1: Constitution that lays out how you amend the Constitution, and
- 42:35Speaker 1: it's the process that whereby we amend the Constitution. She
- 42:40Speaker 1: apparently didn't know that. That's not if you're an attorney.
- 42:44Speaker 1: That's a somewhat of a big deal. Can we can
- 42:46Speaker 1: we agree on that? As big a deal as it is.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Her next question is an even bigger deal. So the
- 42:54Speaker 1: first three articles of the Constitution. Article one establishes the
- 42:58Speaker 1: legislative branch. All legislative power is vested in the Congress.
- 43:03Speaker 1: That's what Article one does. Article two is the executive
- 43:07Speaker 1: branch of our federal government. It is the President of
- 43:09Speaker 1: the United States. It is all of the executive branch.
- 43:12Speaker 1: An Article three, by the way, is the judiciary. She
- 43:16Speaker 1: has been nominated to be what's called an Article three judge.
- 43:21Speaker 1: That's a very particular kind of judge. That's a federal
- 43:24Speaker 1: judge with life tenure. She's been nominated to be an
- 43:27Speaker 1: Article three judge, although I'm quite certain she has no
- 43:31Speaker 1: idea what that means. And it shows this administration's nominees.
- 43:38Speaker 1: They have consistently been number one, very much affirmative action picks.
- 43:42Speaker 1: They care intensely about the race and gender and sexual
- 43:48Speaker 1: orientation much more than anything resembling qualifications or judicial temperament
- 43:54Speaker 1: or skill. But they also care even more than bean counting.
- 44:00Speaker 1: They want radicals, and they have nominated I've never seen
- 44:03Speaker 1: judicial nominees this radical. You know, when Obama was president,
- 44:07Speaker 1: I was not a fan of his judicial nominees. Biden
- 44:10Speaker 1: has made the Obama nominees look normal of the road. Yeah,
- 44:16Speaker 1: for her not to know what Article two of the
- 44:19Speaker 1: Constitution is, I don't even the idea. This isn't an
- 44:26Speaker 1: a whole question. This is not an I got you question.
- 44:30Speaker 1: This isn't like saying to somebody name the random leader
- 44:32Speaker 1: of a certain country, or just to make you look
- 44:34Speaker 1: bad or embarrass you asking someone what Article two of
- 44:38Speaker 1: the Constitution is. If you're a lawyer, you should know that,
- 44:42Speaker 1: especially if you want to be a federal judge. This
- 44:45Speaker 1: is not Look, there are questions you could ask that
- 44:49Speaker 1: are subtle got you questions. Yeah, what's Article two of
- 44:53Speaker 1: the Constitution ain't one of them. It's stunning. And by
- 44:59Speaker 1: the way, prediction is every Democrat will vote to confirm her,
- 45:03Speaker 1: because in two years, do you know how many Democrats
- 45:06Speaker 1: have voted against a Biden judicial nominee. I'm guessing Warner
- 45:10Speaker 1: zero zero. So it's just they walk in the door.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Didn't matter what they say, what they do or don't know,
- 45:17Speaker 1: because the press won't cover it. This isn't on the news.
- 45:20Speaker 1: By the way, John Kennedy did this to a Trump nominee,
- 45:24Speaker 1: a Trump nominee where he asked a question about trial
- 45:29Speaker 1: practice and the Trump nominee didn't know the answer and
- 45:32Speaker 1: it was boom okay number one. Watching it, it was
- 45:36Speaker 1: like watching a trainwreck in slow motion. Trump White House
- 45:42Speaker 1: withdrew the nomination. That's actually if we had a functioning executive,
- 45:48Speaker 1: if the article too branch was actually working, Yeah, they
- 45:52Speaker 1: would know. Okay, I'm sorry this. She can't be a judge,
- 45:56Speaker 1: but they don't care. My prediction is every Democrat I'll
- 46:00Speaker 1: stick with her. Oh she doesn't need to know a
- 46:02Speaker 1: damn thing about the Constitution. Her job is to let
- 46:04Speaker 1: criminals go. She can do that without knowing anything about
- 46:07Speaker 1: the Constitution. It must be nice, easiest way to get
- 46:09Speaker 1: a job, that's for sure, Senator. Always a pleasure to
