- 0:00Speaker 1: Coughing up blood. That is what East Palestine residents are
- 0:04Speaker 1: now saying about their health conditions after this toxic derailment
- 0:10Speaker 1: that happened in East Palestine and the White House refusing
- 0:14Speaker 1: to deal with it. Now they're acting like they're gonna
- 0:17Speaker 1: show up and actually do something. But when your symptoms
- 0:21Speaker 1: are coughing up blood and no one seems to care,
- 0:26Speaker 1: imagine how angry you would actually be. Now Mayor Pete
- 0:30Speaker 1: is now coming out and saying, this is the head
- 0:32Speaker 1: of the Transportation I should have spoken out sooner about
- 0:36Speaker 1: how strong we have felt about East Palestine derailment. Why
- 0:40Speaker 1: didn't he do it? Well, let's be clear, they're not
- 0:43Speaker 1: focused on it. Why because this is an area that
- 0:46Speaker 1: voted over seventy percent for Donald Trump. In other words,
- 0:49Speaker 1: screw you. Take a listen to part of what he
- 0:52Speaker 1: had to say with CBS News finally doing an interview
- 0:56Speaker 1: about the Ohio train derailment and the environmental crisis that
- 0:59Speaker 1: is clearly happening there. But is there anything that the
- 1:04Speaker 1: Transportation Department could have done sooner to avoid this from
- 1:08Speaker 1: happening in the first place. Well, our personnel, we're on
- 1:11Speaker 1: the ground within hours of this incident, but I do
- 1:13Speaker 1: think that every rail incident calls the question on how
- 1:17Speaker 1: we can strengthen the regulation of rail safety in this country. Now,
- 1:21Speaker 1: that is something that the rail industry has fought, but
- 1:23Speaker 1: that we have been raising the bar on since we
- 1:26Speaker 1: got here and will continue to do. Look, whether it's
- 1:29Speaker 1: the crew staffing rule or whether it's the regulations around
- 1:33Speaker 1: the strength of the tanks containing the material that transits. Again,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I'm not going to get ahead of the ntsb s
- 1:39Speaker 1: finding on some of the specific root causes in this incident,
- 1:42Speaker 1: but we know enough to know that it's long pasttime
- 1:45Speaker 1: to continue the work of raising the bar on rail safety.
- 1:49Speaker 1: We're continuing our work on that. We're asking Congress, especially
- 1:52Speaker 1: since there seems to be some new found bipartisan interest
- 1:55Speaker 1: in doing something to untie our hands and make it
- 1:58Speaker 1: possible for us to do more. And it's amazing about
- 2:01Speaker 1: this response for Mayor Pete is he's acting like he's
- 2:04Speaker 1: being held back when he's literally the guy that's in charge.
- 2:07Speaker 1: He's acting like his hands are tied, when for the
- 2:11Speaker 1: first two years of this administration he had the House,
- 2:13Speaker 1: the Senate, in the White House all in the hands
- 2:15Speaker 1: of Democrats. There's not Republicans holding him back. He's acting
- 2:20Speaker 1: like he doesn't have the ability to go to the
- 2:24Speaker 1: site of this crisis in some capacity because well, I
- 2:30Speaker 1: just can't get there right now, or I don't want
- 2:32Speaker 1: to go there right now because I don't want to
- 2:33Speaker 1: distract people. So let's go back to the spitting blood comments,
- 2:39Speaker 1: throwing up blood, coughing up blood. The Transportation Secretary is
- 2:45Speaker 1: now saying, at least, okay, maybe I should have been
- 2:49Speaker 1: more compassionate on the front end. They're now trying to
- 2:52Speaker 1: rewrite history, and a lot of this is because Americans
- 2:55Speaker 1: are furious that they're sending all this money and going
- 2:58Speaker 1: to an active war zone in Ukraine and putting the
- 3:00Speaker 1: people in Ukraine ahead of American citizens. Tucker Carlson had
- 3:06Speaker 1: on his show individuals that are having major health problems
- 3:11Speaker 1: clearly directly tied to this toxic fallout in Ohio, an
- 3:18Speaker 1: administration that's refusing to do anything about. Now they are claiming,
- 3:21Speaker 1: all right, we're gonna make the train company pay for
- 3:24Speaker 1: the cleanup. Why didn't you say that at the moment
- 3:27Speaker 1: this happened. Why didn't you show up at the moment
- 3:29Speaker 1: this happened. Listen to their story, Your picture taken. When
- 3:33Speaker 1: I go, it will be about action on real safety. Now, that's,
- 3:37Speaker 1: by the way, Mayor Pete's last closing argument he's been
- 3:39Speaker 1: making over the last twenty four hours. You know, I'm
- 3:41Speaker 1: not just going for a photo op. He said, it's
- 3:43Speaker 1: in good morning, America. I'm going to get something done.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I'm going for cleanup. When are you going? I don't know,
- 3:50Speaker 1: like he's literally saying, I don't know, But when I go,
- 3:54Speaker 1: it's gonna be serious. It's not gonna be a photo op. Meanwhile,
- 3:59Speaker 1: your administration just the the ultimate photo op with fake
- 4:02Speaker 1: air raid sirens and UKN with Zelenski. It made for
- 4:04Speaker 1: a movie moment. So so you do you really want
- 4:07Speaker 1: to distinguish yourself from photo ops? Right now, it's a
- 4:10Speaker 1: pretty bad look. So let'sten to what's happening to the
- 4:14Speaker 1: actual people in East Palestine. If there's any member of
- 4:19Speaker 1: the Biden administration he deserves to lose his job immediately.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It's that guy. Nathan and Kelly Isotic are in East Palestine.
- 4:26Speaker 1: They live there. We talked him a couple of days ago,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and since we spoke, they tell us they've been coughing
- 4:30Speaker 1: up blood. So we want to get an update from
- 4:32Speaker 1: the Nathan and Kelly joined us. Now, thank you both
- 4:34Speaker 1: for coming on. Nathan first, to you coughing up blood? Yes, Tucker,
- 4:41Speaker 1: it was days after the incident, and that's it would
- 4:45Speaker 1: have been the Sunday, and I woke up in a
- 4:48Speaker 1: very horrific coughing spell, almost like a bronchitis or pneumonia type.
- 4:52Speaker 1: And yeah, I don't know if it was just from
- 4:55Speaker 1: the coughing fits or what, but spats of blood did
- 4:57Speaker 1: appear that night and a few days later, obviously we
- 5:01Speaker 1: evacuated town. It resided and went away, but that was
- 5:04Speaker 1: one of the side effects. How how old are you.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'm thirty now, just turned thirty February sixteenth. Yeah, I'm
- 5:14Speaker 1: no doctor, but you should not be coughing a blood.
- 5:17Speaker 1: We're going to speak to a doctor in a minute.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I mean, I'm telling you what you know, but that's
- 5:21Speaker 1: not a good sign. Kelly, how are you feeling? The
- 5:25Speaker 1: headaches are horrible. They pretty much when I'm about three
- 5:30Speaker 1: to four miles outside of town they start, and as
- 5:35Speaker 1: long as I'm within a few miles of the crash site,
- 5:41Speaker 1: I've got headaches, really bad headaches, migraines. Has anyone tried
- 5:48Speaker 1: to explain to you why you might be having these symptoms. Well,
- 5:54Speaker 1: if we're talking the Ohio doctor Fauci's, we can go
- 5:58Speaker 1: and you know they're going to try to point it
- 5:59Speaker 1: towards having COVID related symptoms. But we obviously know that's
- 6:03Speaker 1: not the case. Yeah, no, that's not the case. Coughing
- 6:06Speaker 1: up blood is on it is not. I don't think
- 6:08Speaker 1: a valid COVID symptom at this point. How does it smell?
- 6:11Speaker 1: I mean, we have a sense of smell for a reason.
- 6:13Speaker 1: The nose knows that. You know, there's truth in that.
- 6:15Speaker 1: How does your town smell? I mean it's it's still blatant,
- 6:20Speaker 1: even your cameraman here. That's one of the first things
- 6:22Speaker 1: I asked him was, you know, do you do you
- 6:24Speaker 1: smell what's smelling outside? And he says, yeah, it's it's
- 6:27Speaker 1: it's a sweet odor. Um. It smells terrible. And again
- 6:31Speaker 1: it's it's more towards the evening when it's more prominent. Yeah.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I hate to ask you about money, but I can't resist.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I mean, what about homeowners in East Palestine, Like you've
- 6:41Speaker 1: got to think that their home values are bottoming out ahead.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Nobody is ever going to purchase a home that has
- 6:51Speaker 1: these Palestine in the in the address. I mean this
- 6:55Speaker 1: is this has definitely made our value plummet Are you
- 6:59Speaker 1: are you homeowner? Yes, we are home us sir man,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. The future yeah, the future isn't right. Yeah,
- 7:10Speaker 1: your health and your wealth in may Oh yeah, I'm sorry.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I'm really sorry. But we appreciate the update from both
- 7:19Speaker 1: of you tonight. Nathan Kelly is add thanks. These are
- 7:23Speaker 1: not people wanting to get on TV for any reason.
- 7:26Speaker 1: These are people that are begging for help. That's what
- 7:31Speaker 1: we're dealing with here, all right. I'm gonna tell you
- 7:34Speaker 1: more about this in a second, but I do need
- 7:35Speaker 1: to tell you about our friends that August of Precious Metals.
- 7:38Speaker 1: If you've been saving for a long time for retirement,
- 7:41Speaker 1: you know that you need to protect your money and
- 7:44Speaker 1: one way to do that is with a gold ira.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I'm excited about telling you about a company that I
- 7:49Speaker 1: actually use. I have actually worked with a Gust of
- 7:53Speaker 1: Precious Medals. They are different because they will even tell
- 7:56Speaker 1: you if a gold ira isn't your answer, they give
- 8:00Speaker 1: you just the facts. Now, a Gust of Precious Metal
- 8:03Speaker 1: is all about protecting your ira and your four oh
- 8:06Speaker 1: one k. They're great people a great conservative company. They're
- 8:11Speaker 1: great people at a great conservative company. They understand right
- 8:16Speaker 1: now that it's crazy with our economy, and it's extremely important,
- 8:20Speaker 1: especially if you're close to retirement, to protect your assets
- 8:24Speaker 1: because there's no time to make up losses. So if
- 8:27Speaker 1: you've saved one hundred thousand dollars or more, then you
- 8:30Speaker 1: should take a look at their free guide and you
- 8:32Speaker 1: should really sign up for something that I've done. It's
- 8:35Speaker 1: a web conference where you talk to a top individual
- 8:39Speaker 1: about gold iras and your four oh one k. Check
- 8:43Speaker 1: them out and get the peace of mind that you're
- 8:45Speaker 1: protecting your hard earned assets when you get really close
- 8:48Speaker 1: to retirement. Eight seven seven four the number four gold
- 8:53Speaker 1: IRA eight seven seven four gold IRA, or visit them
- 8:58Speaker 1: online at a gust of Precious Metals dot Com. Say
- 9:01Speaker 1: I sent you and they will pay your fees for
- 9:03Speaker 1: up to ten years. That's Augusta Precious Metals dot Com.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Eight seven seven four gold IRA. Now the cameramen who
- 9:12Speaker 1: have come to their home to to talk about this
- 9:15Speaker 1: are saying something's wrong. Who's going to buy their house
- 9:19Speaker 1: with all this going on? So let's get a response
- 9:24Speaker 1: from Mayor Pete. What's Mayor Pete have to say about this? Well,
- 9:27Speaker 1: here's what he said to NBA or excuse me, CBS News,
- 9:30Speaker 1: And I just have to ask, because it did take
- 9:32Speaker 1: you a couple of days to respond publicly, or several
- 9:35Speaker 1: days to respond publicly to this particular incident, do you
- 9:37Speaker 1: wish you would have spoken out sooner? Yes, I was
- 9:41Speaker 1: focused on just making sure that our folks on the
- 9:43Speaker 1: ground were all set, but could have spoken sooner about
- 9:47Speaker 1: how strongly I felt about this incident. And that's a
- 9:50Speaker 1: lesson learned from me. All Right, mister secretary, thank you
- 9:53Speaker 1: for that. That's it. Thank you for that. Thank you
- 9:57Speaker 1: ask you a tough question, let you kind of run
- 9:59Speaker 1: away from it, and then it's fine, right because it's
- 10:02Speaker 1: spoken out sooner. Now, why are you not visiting right
- 10:06Speaker 1: this community? Here's what he says, because I'm I'm focused
- 10:11Speaker 1: on action, not politics, not on a show. It's been
- 10:15Speaker 1: two weeks since this derailment. When is the time right?
- 10:20Speaker 1: So I'm planning to go and when I do, it
- 10:22Speaker 1: will be focused on action, not on politics, not on show.
- 10:25Speaker 1: In the early days, I have been respecting the role
- 10:28Speaker 1: that the independent NTSB plays and staying out of their way.
- 10:32Speaker 1: But we are now entering the policy phase of our
- 10:35Speaker 1: response to this, and even as NTSB continues finalizing their work,
- 10:39Speaker 1: this is the right time for us to be looking
- 10:41Speaker 1: at immediate steps from the USDOT. Do you think the
- 10:43Speaker 1: President should visit? Look? Right now, I'm focused on making
- 10:47Speaker 1: sure that we have the tools that are needed on
- 10:50Speaker 1: the ground to respond to this. You've got EPA there,
- 10:53Speaker 1: You've got our departments supporting the ntsp's work there. You've
- 10:57Speaker 1: got the CDC Home Health and Services there to look
- 11:01Speaker 1: after the health side, and we've got to make sure
- 11:03Speaker 1: that that agency response continues. I know the President cares
- 11:07Speaker 1: a lot about what's happening there, He's spoken to me
- 11:09Speaker 1: about it, and we are going to continue doing everything
- 11:12Speaker 1: we can to make sure this community is not left behind.
- 11:15Speaker 1: And you've already left him behind, dude, like you've already
- 11:20Speaker 1: done that. And the fact that you say we're planning
- 11:23Speaker 1: on going but won't tell us when you're going. And
- 11:24Speaker 1: I'm about action here. You need to understand this is
- 11:27Speaker 1: about action to me. Okay, So what action are you
- 11:30Speaker 1: going to actually bring to the people. Well, let's move
- 11:33Speaker 1: to another disaster in our government. This is the EPA.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Michael Reagan is the director right in charge of the EPA.
- 11:44Speaker 1: The Environmental Protection Agency is literally supposed to do exactly
- 11:48Speaker 1: that protect you when they're environmental disasters and from environmental disasters.
- 11:56Speaker 1: They've thrown him out there now, not doing this interview
- 12:00Speaker 1: in Ohio instead doing it from Washington, DC, and the
- 12:05Speaker 1: federal government now is actually pointing the finger one admitting
- 12:09Speaker 1: there there's an environmental crisis there right, Well, I'm sure
- 12:12Speaker 1: that's comforting the people that are literally coughing up blood,
- 12:15Speaker 1: but then saying we're gonna hold the private sector accountable
- 12:18Speaker 1: for it because it somehow isn't the fault of the
- 12:21Speaker 1: US government, and we're not the ones that you should
- 12:24Speaker 1: be mad at. Instead, you should be mad at Norfolk Southern,
- 12:29Speaker 1: the railway that had the train that derail. That's their
- 12:32Speaker 1: fault and they need to pay, not us. We're going
- 12:36Speaker 1: to do one degree of separation. Listen to this and
- 12:38Speaker 1: tell me if you're coughing up blood, if anything you're
- 12:41Speaker 1: about to hear from the EPA administrator is comforting to you,
- 12:45Speaker 1: really important, because what you're saying is there is always
- 12:48Speaker 1: a possibility the contaminants can exist somewhere that has not
- 12:52Speaker 1: been tested, and you need to really be careful. I'm
- 12:55Speaker 1: hoping that the state or the federal government pays for
- 12:58Speaker 1: those tests. Is that something that's going to happen. Listen,
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yesterday's announcement will ensure that Norfolk Southern pays for the
- 13:07Speaker 1: mess that they've created, and so we are encouraging everyone
- 13:10Speaker 1: seek medical attention, ensure that the state and local health
- 13:15Speaker 1: agencies understand those experiences. Because as we force Norfolk Southern
- 13:20Speaker 1: to take full accountability for what they've done, Norfolk Southern
- 13:24Speaker 1: will pay for everything and anything that we do. Norfolk
- 13:28Speaker 1: Southern will reimburse us. They are the ones that cause
- 13:30Speaker 1: this mess. They're the ones that are going to clean
- 13:32Speaker 1: up and fix this mess. Let me tell ask you
- 13:34Speaker 1: how that's going to happen. What have you done so
- 13:36Speaker 1: far as the EPA administrator and the EPA at large
- 13:39Speaker 1: to push Norfolk Southern to do all of the things
- 13:43Speaker 1: that you just mentioned to take responsibility. Yesterday's announcement sort
- 13:47Speaker 1: of laid out the fact that we are transitioning from
- 13:50Speaker 1: an emergency response phase, which was led by the state
- 13:53Speaker 1: with EPA supporting the state, into a cleanup, a longer
- 13:57Speaker 1: term cleanup phase. What I an noow, using my legal authority,
- 14:02Speaker 1: we can hold Norfolk Southern accountable. Number One, they will
- 14:05Speaker 1: clean up every single piece of debris, all of the
- 14:10Speaker 1: contamination to EPA specifications and satisfaction. Number two, they will
- 14:16Speaker 1: pay for it fully, pay for it at any moment.
- 14:20Speaker 1: If we have to step in because they refuse to
- 14:22Speaker 1: do anything, we will do the cleaning up ourselves. We
- 14:25Speaker 1: can find them up to seventy thousand dollars a day,
- 14:28Speaker 1: and when we recoup our total cost, we can charge
- 14:32Speaker 1: them three times in the amount of the cost of
- 14:34Speaker 1: the federal government. That is what the law provides for me.
- 14:38Speaker 1: We're gonna use the full extent of our oversight and
- 14:41Speaker 1: enforcement to hold Norfolk Southern accountable. And they have to
- 14:45Speaker 1: design a very specific work plan that's approved by EPA.
- 14:50Speaker 1: So we're going to make sure that every single step
- 14:53Speaker 1: is included, no stone is left unturned, because the fact
- 14:57Speaker 1: of the matter is they cause this trauma to the
- 15:00Speaker 1: community and we're going to make sure that they pay
- 15:02Speaker 1: for it. Last question, You and I have traveled around.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I have met up with you in places like Mississippi,
- 15:07Speaker 1: West Virginia on the water issue in this country and
- 15:11Speaker 1: the thing that keeps coming up over and over and
- 15:13Speaker 1: over again. Is trust trust amazing that CNN would actually
- 15:18Speaker 1: say that, right, No one trust you. That's the problem here.
- 15:23Speaker 1: How can anyone trust you in this scenario? You know?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Mayor Pete admits, Look, I'm in a mistake. I could
- 15:31Speaker 1: have spoken out sooner. Right, That's the only mistake he's
- 15:34Speaker 1: gonna admit to, Not that there's a major disaster, a
- 15:39Speaker 1: toxic disaster, the turning people's lives and could kill people,
- 15:43Speaker 1: cause cancer, and god knows what else he's saying. I
- 15:46Speaker 1: could have spoken out sooner. That's my only mistake so far. Well.
- 15:51Speaker 1: To be clear, our department was on the ground within
- 15:54Speaker 1: hours helping with the response and the investigation. Again, I
- 15:58Speaker 1: respect the separate role than TSB, but we have been
- 16:01Speaker 1: on the ground literally from day one to make sure
- 16:04Speaker 1: that we're doing our part to support I do think
- 16:07Speaker 1: that it's important to speak out about that, and I
- 16:09Speaker 1: could have spoken out sooner, and I'm making sure that
- 16:12Speaker 1: we are focused on the actions that are going to
- 16:14Speaker 1: make a difference. There. You go, that's your government. You've
- 16:18Speaker 1: got a massive problem, You've got a derailment. All this
- 16:21Speaker 1: is happening there, and he's like I could have spoken
- 16:25Speaker 1: out sooner. Right, that's it. Residents are saying that they're
- 16:34Speaker 1: coughing up blood, and he's saying our government is saying
- 16:39Speaker 1: the official person in charge, Hey, I should have spoken
- 16:43Speaker 1: out sooner. EPA saying, not our problem, Northern Southern's problem.
- 16:47Speaker 1: We're gonna make them pay. And the EPA chief, by
- 16:51Speaker 1: the way, the Ohio governor, they want you to know
- 16:54Speaker 1: everything's good because they actually drank a sip of the
- 16:57Speaker 1: tap water to prove to you did everything somehow. Okay,
- 17:04Speaker 1: listen to this crap. A lot of people here doing,
- 17:07Speaker 1: a lot of people focus on working. That makes us
- 17:13Speaker 1: feel better. But it will, it will continue. It will.
- 17:18Speaker 1: No stone will be left on turning. The testing of
- 17:24Speaker 1: my house, somebody testing. Yeah, we're talking absolutely, we're here
- 17:31Speaker 1: to do that. Man, there it is. We're just gonna
- 17:34Speaker 1: drink some water here, right, I'm the governor and I'm
- 17:37Speaker 1: here at this terrainment, this this train derailment side, and
- 17:40Speaker 1: we're gonna we're gonna sip it real quick so you
- 17:42Speaker 1: know it's safe. And then after that we're gonna get
- 17:45Speaker 1: the hell out of here because we know it ain't safe.
- 17:48Speaker 1: But we did. We did a photo op here, and
- 17:51Speaker 1: then the same administration's like, we're not doing photo ops.
- 17:54Speaker 1: While they're saying they're not gonna do photo ops, the
- 17:56Speaker 1: president's doing fake air sirens in Ukraine and they make
- 17:59Speaker 1: him look strong for a photo op. Ha. I mean,
- 18:03Speaker 1: this is all they do is photo ops. This cleanup
- 18:08Speaker 1: strategy and I'm talking about the pr strategy and the
- 18:11Speaker 1: actual cleanup of this toxic derailment site is a disaster
- 18:15Speaker 1: on so many different levels because so much of the
- 18:17Speaker 1: damage has already been done and now it's just come
- 18:20Speaker 1: down to finger pointing. And really, I would argue bullying
- 18:23Speaker 1: now from the federal government. If you live in this area,
- 18:28Speaker 1: your property values have gone down. I don't even know
- 18:31Speaker 1: how much you know that. The cleanup has not been
- 18:35Speaker 1: done quickly enough. So the contamination of the ground, the
- 18:37Speaker 1: drinking want everything, it's really soaked in there. The government
- 18:42Speaker 1: two weeks later comes out and says clean up your mess.
- 18:48Speaker 1: The EPA acting again like they're strong leading two weeks
- 18:53Speaker 1: late ordering Norfolk Southern to fix the toxic derailment site.
- 19:00Speaker 1: They send out an official press release on this. Two
- 19:02Speaker 1: weeks late, US Environmental Protection Agency has ordered Norfolk Southern
- 19:07Speaker 1: that's the Little Railcar System right, the company that was
- 19:11Speaker 1: pulling this train on Tuesday, two weeks after it happens,
- 19:16Speaker 1: to pay for the cleanup and restitution or the toxic
- 19:21Speaker 1: East Palestine, Ohio train wreck site. The demand comes just
- 19:24Speaker 1: days after the TSA Secretary Mayor Pete's and a letter
- 19:28Speaker 1: to the coming CEO outlining his quote, disappointment and the
- 19:31Speaker 1: response to date. In other words, every complaint you have
- 19:36Speaker 1: against me and my response, I'm going to now put
- 19:38Speaker 1: in a letter to the CEO of the train company
- 19:41Speaker 1: so I can then blame them, and I say, see,
- 19:43Speaker 1: it's not my fault. You shouldn't be mad at me,
- 19:45Speaker 1: you should be mad at them. This is called shifting
- 19:47Speaker 1: the blame the pr game. Speaking to reporters Neil near
- 19:52Speaker 1: the deralment site, the Associated press Is also report that
- 19:56Speaker 1: the Norfolk Southern CEO, Alan Shaw, promised to do all
- 20:00Speaker 1: within his power to ensure the long term health of
- 20:06Speaker 1: the community and become a safer rail road. Now, a
- 20:11Speaker 1: couple of things about this. I don't believe that these
- 20:13Speaker 1: companies have it in our interest to clean up afterwards.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I think they have it in their interest to do
- 20:19Speaker 1: the bare minimum. I don't believe that they care about us.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I don't believe that they want to fix this problem.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I think they look at this as a financial liability
- 20:31Speaker 1: and we're going to do whatever we can to quickly
- 20:34Speaker 1: move this forward. You know, there's also an arrogance factor here.
- 20:41Speaker 1: This was on CNBC where the Norfolk Southern CEO said,
- 20:47Speaker 1: in his words okay, that he'd bring his children to
- 20:51Speaker 1: the area because it's safe. When you hear that people
- 20:54Speaker 1: are coughing up blood, this is when I say to
- 20:56Speaker 1: Alan Shaw, I don't believe you. This has been a
- 21:02Speaker 1: traumatic experience. And all the taxology reports, all the testing
- 21:07Speaker 1: shows that were clean. However, if folks are experiencing symptoms
- 21:12Speaker 1: with which they're not accustomed, I would strongly encourage them
- 21:15Speaker 1: to go see a trusted medical professional. Pine was your home.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Would you have come back? Would you bring your children
- 21:24Speaker 1: back right now? Yes? Yes, I've come back multiple times.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I've drinking the water here, I've interacted with the families here.
- 21:34Speaker 1: But I know they're hurt. I know they're scared. I
- 21:38Speaker 1: know they're confused. They're looking for information and who to trust.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I encourage them to ask questions. I think when they
- 21:46Speaker 1: really dig into it, they're going to see that all
- 21:50Speaker 1: the testing, whether it's done by the EPA or local
- 21:54Speaker 1: health officials or our independent contractors, show that it's safe
- 21:59Speaker 1: to return to the community. And my commitment to this
- 22:03Speaker 1: community is we will continue with the environmental remediation. We've
- 22:07Speaker 1: made a lot of progress and we're cooperating and coordinating
- 22:11Speaker 1: with the Ohio EPA on a long term remediation plan.
- 22:16Speaker 1: We're going to continue our financial assistance to the residents
- 22:20Speaker 1: of this community. So far, we've either reimbursed or committed
- 22:26Speaker 1: six point five million dollars to this community, and we're
- 22:30Speaker 1: working with the local officials here. I just don't trust them.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Six point five million and local money to the community.
- 22:40Speaker 1: We're working with local officials here. As you put it, great,
- 22:42Speaker 1: it's wonderful. But to say that you would stay there
- 22:47Speaker 1: and have your kids there and look to drink one
- 22:49Speaker 1: glass of water is one thing. To bathe them this
- 22:51Speaker 1: water and drink it every day as your only source
- 22:54Speaker 1: is completely different. And we all know that. And two
- 22:57Speaker 1: weeks late, they're like, oh, well, now it's your fault.
- 22:59Speaker 1: You've got to clean it up, right, We're gonna blame
- 23:02Speaker 1: the other guy for this. I've drinking the water. Look
- 23:05Speaker 1: would I go there as a pr stunt and drink
- 23:07Speaker 1: this water. If I'm one of these guys, of course
- 23:09Speaker 1: you would. Now, before I get into more of that,
- 23:11Speaker 1: I want to tell you about our friends over at

- 24:28Speaker 1: Patriot mobile dot com slash ben that's Patriotmobile dot com
- 24:33Speaker 1: slash Ben. Let me also say something else about this,
- 24:37Speaker 1: and that is I expect the government to come in
- 24:40Speaker 1: and to not trust corporations to do what's best for community.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Mayor Peach should have been there on the ground sooner.
- 24:49Speaker 1: The governor and elect officials should have just immediately assumed
- 24:54Speaker 1: that they were lying on everything. And if they're not lying, great,
- 24:57Speaker 1: but let me let you hear what. The pen Ssylvania
- 25:00Speaker 1: Governor Josh Shapiro said his office has now actually made
- 25:05Speaker 1: a criminal referral in the Ohio train derailment. This after
- 25:10Speaker 1: the Ohio Governor Dwine has signaled at a news conference
- 25:13Speaker 1: in Ohio is now preparing to take legal action as well. Now.
- 25:16Speaker 1: The Pennsylvania governor said this that his office has made
- 25:19Speaker 1: a criminal referral in response to recent train derailment over
- 25:23Speaker 1: the border in East Palace and Ohio, because he says
- 25:26Speaker 1: it's the after effects of the environment and the nearby
- 25:29Speaker 1: communities are going to affect his state in Pennsylvania. This
- 25:33Speaker 1: is how the Pennsylvania governor put it at this press conference. Listen,
- 25:39Speaker 1: he's furious and actually handling this. I would argue the
- 25:41Speaker 1: right way. My administration will remain vigilant for any threats
- 25:45Speaker 1: to Pennsylvanians, and we will hold accountable Norfolk Southern, the
- 25:52Speaker 1: company that made this vigilance necessary. The combination of Norfolk
- 25:58Speaker 1: Southern's corporate greed, incompetence, and lack of care for our
- 26:04Speaker 1: residence is absolutely unacceptable to me. I've been outspoken about
- 26:11Speaker 1: the serious concerns that I had with the company's failed
- 26:15Speaker 1: management of this crisis. They chose not to participate in
- 26:21Speaker 1: the unified command, they gave us inaccurate information and conflicting
- 26:26Speaker 1: modeling data, and they refuse to explore or articulate alternative
- 26:31Speaker 1: courses of action when we were dealing with the derailment
- 26:36Speaker 1: in the early days. In some Norfolk Southern injected unnecessary
- 26:42Speaker 1: risk into this crisis, and they created confusion in this process.
- 26:47Speaker 1: In the face of Norfolk Southern's arrogance and incompetence. I
- 26:51Speaker 1: want you to know we are fighting back. We stand
- 26:55Speaker 1: with the good people of Pennsylvania and Ohio, and we
- 26:59Speaker 1: stand with them against this corporate greed and incompetence. We
- 27:05Speaker 1: stand against this corporate greed and incompetence. At least somebody's
- 27:10Speaker 1: admitting this. Does that, by the way, sound like anything
- 27:13Speaker 1: that you're hearing at all from our president? No? Does
- 27:19Speaker 1: that sound like anything that you're hearing at all from
- 27:23Speaker 1: the Transportation Secretary mayor peat? No. And the reason why,
- 27:27Speaker 1: I think it's pretty damn clear. They don't care about
- 27:32Speaker 1: the people. They care more about the optics. They don't
- 27:35Speaker 1: care about these people because they voted for Trump. They
- 27:37Speaker 1: don't care about this problem because they'd rather talk about Ukraine.
- 27:41Speaker 1: They don't care about these people because and proves the
- 27:43Speaker 1: fact they go to Ukraine before they go to deal
- 27:47Speaker 1: with this issue there. The president of the United States
- 27:50Speaker 1: Americas should have gone there. Hell, Donald Trump's gone there,
- 27:52Speaker 1: so and be like, oh, he's a photoop. No, he's
- 27:54Speaker 1: actually trying to bring attention to it. He's running for president.
- 27:58Speaker 1: He's doing what a president should do right now, right,
- 28:02Speaker 1: I mean, I mean that's the truth here. I don't
- 28:08Speaker 1: understand how people can't see this and understand this. I
- 28:12Speaker 1: really don't. It's very very very very very clear to
- 28:16Speaker 1: me that they don't care. And if they did care,
- 28:20Speaker 1: they would have done this differently. You know. Mayor Pete,
- 28:23Speaker 1: by the way, coming in is not a big distraction.
- 28:27Speaker 1: May Or Pete should have been one of the first
- 28:28Speaker 1: guys on the ground when when this happened they knew
- 28:31Speaker 1: how bad it was. Mayor Pete within days should have
- 28:33Speaker 1: been there and having meetings and making sure that everything
- 28:38Speaker 1: that and again, some of this is just optics, so
- 28:40Speaker 1: you know you have somebody on your side, so that
- 28:43Speaker 1: you know you have somebody on your team. That's the truth, right,
- 28:50Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, I mean that's really the truth here.
- 28:54Speaker 1: And when no one's showing up from the federal government
- 28:56Speaker 1: the highest levels, then you start asking yourself, are they
- 29:01Speaker 1: on the take? Are they are they a part of
- 29:03Speaker 1: this cover up? Are they down playing us because they
- 29:05Speaker 1: don't want to deal with it. What is the logic
- 29:09Speaker 1: and the reasoning behind what they're doing here? And you
- 29:13Speaker 1: can hear it in all of these clips that we
- 29:15Speaker 1: played for you today, right again, the governor here, you know,
- 29:20Speaker 1: this is an issue of corporate greed, incompetence and lack
- 29:23Speaker 1: of care for a residence is absolutely unacceptable. He is
- 29:26Speaker 1: correct in saying that. And when you have a Norfolk
- 29:29Speaker 1: Southern CEO like, oh, I'd bring my kids here, Sure
- 29:31Speaker 1: I would your home. Would you have come back? Would
- 29:37Speaker 1: you bring your children back right now? Yes? Yes. These
- 29:43Speaker 1: are the meaning most ridiculous questions that the media asks,
- 29:47Speaker 1: because of course, you know what the answer is going
- 29:49Speaker 1: to be. There. Talk about the residence whose homes are
- 29:53Speaker 1: in the direct area around this derailment. What has that
- 29:56Speaker 1: done to their property values? Can we talk about that?
- 29:59Speaker 1: If you're a property owner, all right, you think you're
- 30:01Speaker 1: gonna be able to sell this property anytime soon? No,
- 30:07Speaker 1: are you gonna have to take a loss? If you
- 30:08Speaker 1: need to get out of your house now or in
- 30:10Speaker 1: the next six months and the next year, yes, you
- 30:13Speaker 1: were gonna have to do that. That's going to happen.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Never forget how many corporate disasters there have been. Never
- 30:25Speaker 1: forget how many cover ups there have been. Never forget
- 30:29Speaker 1: how many. Go back and watch Aaron Brockovitch the movie
- 30:31Speaker 1: right like Don't Trust look At Look At There was
- 30:34Speaker 1: another movie about the about how DuPont was knew that
- 30:39Speaker 1: they had poisoned at community, knew that people were dying,
- 30:42Speaker 1: knew that people were having birth defects, and they didn't care.
- 30:44Speaker 1: They kept going with it. Why did that happen? We
- 30:47Speaker 1: all know why it happened. Corporate greed. You can't put
- 30:52Speaker 1: people in prison, right, You can't put people in jail CEOs.
- 30:58Speaker 1: It never happens. When these things happened. They pay fines.
- 31:00Speaker 1: It's not even their real money, right, It's okay, yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 1: they may miss a bonus. But I think we all
- 31:04Speaker 1: agree with my point here. Corporate greed through and through,
- 31:11Speaker 1: that's what we witness, That's what we see. That is
- 31:14Speaker 1: what happens. I don't trust these people. And now you've
- 31:17Speaker 1: got to ask your some other questions. The government in
- 31:19Speaker 1: on it too. This is incompetency by the Biden administration
- 31:23Speaker 1: yet again. This is a disaster of the Biden administration
- 31:27Speaker 1: yet again. Makes you share this podcast with your family
- 31:31Speaker 1: and friends. Please write a five star review. It helps
- 31:33Speaker 1: us reach more people and more conservatives, and I'll see
- 31:36Speaker 1: you back here tomorrow.
