- 0:0025 human beings, sons and daughters, children being
- 0:04sacrificed alive at the DNC in the name of abortion rights.
- 0:09They've now done 25 abortions, 25 children, innocent human
- 0:13beings whose lives are being ended at the DNCI.
- 0:16Think about the Pagan rituals of child sacrifice and bringing
- 0:19your baby to the idol and you sacrifice your child.
- 0:23How is this any different? But the idol here is politics.
- 0:26The idol here is this false idea of freedom.
- 0:33Hey everybody, welcome to the special episode of the Lila Rose
- 0:36podcast. I'm going to keep my eye on the
- 0:38chat here. We're doing an interactive
- 0:41special YouTube Live Today. We're going to put this up on
- 0:43podcast app later so you guys can hear it because it's about
- 0:45breaking news. It's about what's happening at
- 0:48the Democratic National Convention this week.
- 0:51It just kicked off yesterday and Oh my goodness, there's a lot to
- 0:54talk about. Some really shocking and
- 0:56breaking news coming out of the DNCI.
- 0:59Think that actually it's a call to action for all people of good
- 1:03conscience and good faith right now.
- 1:05To be aware of what is taking place at the DNC and then also
- 1:08to pray because lives are literally on the line right now.
- 1:12So we're going to run through what that's looking like in just
- 1:15the first 48 hours of the DNC. Some of the breaking news items
- 1:19that are really urgent for us to be aware of.
- 1:21And then I'm going to also be taking questions.
- 1:23We're doing a live Q&A, so I'm in the chat right now.
- 1:26Hey, John Henry, thank you for joining.
- 1:28Thanks for being here. Hey, Alexandra, thanks for being
- 1:31here. Put your questions in the chat
- 1:33if you have any. I will be.
- 1:35Paying attention to the chat throughout this live.
- 1:37OK, this week, as everyone knows, the DNC is convening and
- 1:42we now have a, it's clear Kamala Paris, of course, is the nominee
- 1:49for the Democratic Party. And I was up last night till
- 1:52midnight because I was listening to the DNC live programming.
- 1:56It ended late. And then I was doing a news
- 1:59media hit about the DNC, a live news media hit and what had just
- 2:02transpired. But I want to start with this
- 2:04headline, which completely breaks my heart.
- 2:08It completely is a just a devastating headline coming out
- 2:12of the DNC. Let's pull up the articles from
- 2:15the New York Post. Some of you guys may know
- 2:18Planned Parenthood is at the DNC.
- 2:21They have a truck out there and they are doing live abortions
- 2:26for free at the DNC, handing out chemical abortion pills to
- 2:30start, forced the starving process, starvation process for
- 2:34a developing baby and then a forced miscarriage.
- 2:37And according to the reports, this is the New York Post
- 2:39reporting here. According to Planned Parenthood,
- 2:42if you can Scroll down here, Franco, you'll see the Planned
- 2:45Parenthood lead at the truck is saying that they have done 20.
- 2:49As of end of day today, Tuesday, they will have done 25
- 2:53abortions. Just want to pause for a moment
- 2:58because with all of the political rhetoric, all of the
- 3:01chaos, this is a news article about 25 human beings, sons and
- 3:08daughters, children who are being sacrificed alive at the
- 3:14DNC in the name of abortion rights.
- 3:17Because the reason Planned Parenthood is there is to make a
- 3:20political statement. They're there because Planned
- 3:23Parenthood, the biggest abortion chain, gets 1/2 of a billion
- 3:25dollars from taxpayers through politics.
- 3:29They are extremely influential. Among the Democrats and the
- 3:34Planned Parenthood has an abortion truck at the DNC to
- 3:37make a political statement and they are doing abortions at the
- 3:41DNC. They've now done 25 abortions,
- 3:4525 children, innocent human beings whose lives are being
- 3:48ended at the DNC. And this is done as a political
- 3:54statement. I think about, I think about the
- 3:58Pagan rituals of child sacrifice and bringing your baby to the
- 4:02idol to to pledge your allegiance to your idol, to your
- 4:06God, and you sacrifice your child, child sacrifice you talk
- 4:10about. And we think about that in the
- 4:12Christian tradition, the Old Testament, and how God looked
- 4:15with such anger and righteous indignation at the spilling of
- 4:19innocent blood as a Pagan ritual.
- 4:21How is this any different? But the idol here is politics.
- 4:25The idol here is this false idea of freedom, women's rights.
- 4:30How is it my right as a woman or as a mother to kill my child?
- 4:33I do not have that right. They say my body, my choice.
- 4:36When you are pregnant, there is another body inside your body.
- 4:40It is not just your body. There's another human life
- 4:43present that deserves rights. The right to life is the first
- 4:47right. Devastating.
- 4:50This is a spiritual battle, guys.
- 4:52This is a spiritual battle. This is satanic.
- 4:55You saw what happened at the Olympics, the opening ceremony,
- 4:58the mockery, the abject mockery of Jesus Christ at his Last
- 5:02Supper. The LGBTQ agenda present all of
- 5:06these drag Queens mocking the Lord and having this
- 5:09presentation. They said, oh, we weren't really
- 5:11mocking the Lord. Well, the lead actor at the
- 5:13Olympics, who was in the opening ceremony, one of the drag
- 5:16Queens, as they're called, said on her, said on his or her
- 5:19Instagram. That I was Jesus and that they
- 5:22knew what they were doing. I think that this is a spiritual
- 5:25battle and Satan, I think, knows that he has limited time and
- 5:29limited rain on this earth. And they're not even hiding it
- 5:32anymore. The the child sacrifice, the
- 5:34mockery of faith, it's not even hidden anymore.
- 5:37It is out in the open for everyone to see.
- 5:40I see some people in my timeline on XI have a tweet about this
- 5:43reporting on what the New York Post has reported, what Planned
- 5:45Parenthood has themselves said. They're they've killed 25 babies
- 5:48so far at the DNC. And some people are saying it's,
- 5:50it's not real. It couldn't possibly be real.
- 5:52How crazy, how insane. People who don't want to believe
- 5:55that this is true because it's so horrible.
- 5:57It is true. It is happening and we can't
- 5:59look away. We need to know and we need to
- 6:01know, share this truth. And of course, we need to pray,
- 6:03pray for conversion, pray for revival.
- 6:06All right, a few other things you need to know about happening
- 6:08at the DNC right now. I mean, this is an abortion
- 6:10bonanza. Here's a clip of abortion pills
- 6:13activists pro abortion activists at the DNC dressed up as
- 6:17abortion pills to promote. Killing babies?
- 6:21Turn the sound up here. So you see.
- 6:40These are activists that are there to celebrate abortion at
- 6:43the DNC. They're literally dressed up as
- 6:45an abortion chemical pill that is designed to kill babies,
- 6:49almost 60% of all US abortions. So there's almost 3000 abortions
- 6:53a day. Over 1500 roughly of these
- 6:56children killed by abortion in the first trimester are killed
- 6:58via chemical abortion pills. This is the latest data that we
- 7:02have, and they're dressed up as the abortion procedure, marching
- 7:06through the streets to celebrate abortion.
- 7:09Remember this whole thing of, oh, oh, we don't celebrate
- 7:11abortions. We want abortions to be safe,
- 7:13legal, and rare. This used to be the the talking
- 7:15point of Hillary Clinton back in the 90s with the Democrats.
- 7:17We want abortion to be safe, legal and rare.
- 7:20This is no longer the case. It is now abortion without
- 7:23restriction. Parade it through the streets.
- 7:27Perform abortions at our political event Because we
- 7:31pledge allegiance to abortion, we pledge allegiance to ending
- 7:36the life of a human being as a core.
- 7:38Part of our political identity. This is what the Democratic
- 7:42Party has become. It's horrific.
- 7:44Another clip here. This is Planned Parenthood
- 7:46passing out merch at the DNC. Abortion girly.
- 7:49It's not even about women anymore.
- 7:51It's not even about empowering women.
- 7:53I mean, they. Used to use.
- 7:54This language, this euphemistic language, these false words, now
- 7:57it's just saying I'm an abortion girly.
- 7:58It's just I'm all for abortion. It's not even about my future
- 8:02and my rights and my hope and my dreams.
- 8:04It's just about abortion now. It's it's bald, it's in your
- 8:06face. Here's a statue.
- 8:10Here's a statue of an IUD that has been an inflatable IUD that
- 8:15has been set up outside the DNC by activists.
- 8:20What kind of a view of women is it that your whole idea of
- 8:24womanhood and women's empowerment and women's rights
- 8:27is sticking something into the core part of your body that
- 8:30makes you a woman versus a man? Your womb to make it
- 8:33inhospitable and inhabitable for a human being, a new life.
- 8:36Because motherhood is that horrible to you.
- 8:39That's this is and also that you demand sex without any
- 8:42responsibility, so you. Need your birth control?
- 8:45This is. This is the the bald
- 8:48presentation of the ideology on display at the DNC.
- 8:53Motherhood is not a burden and a threat.
- 8:57Motherhood is not parenthood, is not something to be mocked or
- 9:01belittled. That's what they're doing here.
- 9:03They're belittling that even the idea of pregnancy.
- 9:06They're belittling the idea of of a core aspect of what it
- 9:10means to be a woman, that we can bring life into the world.
- 9:11That's being belittled here. It's being mocked.
- 9:15OK, one more, one more thing at the DNC.
- 9:17We're going to do 2 more things we're going to show you.
- 9:19And I'm sorry, I hate to be the bearer of this news, but some
- 9:21people are saying this isn't happening.
- 9:22They're saying this isn't true, this is fault.
- 9:24Fake news. It's fake news that the
- 9:27Democrats have gone so radical in abortion that some kind of
- 9:31conservative talking point. This is not about conservative
- 9:33versus liberal. This is about.
- 9:35What's? Actually happening right now at
- 9:38the DNC and every single voter needs to know.
- 9:41I'm going to take a quick look at the chat here.
- 9:44Catherine is saying, I've heard multiple people say that they're
- 9:46going to be doing an abortion on stage.
- 9:50I mean, I, I, they are effectively doing an abortion on
- 9:53stage because they're staging abortions outside the DNC.
- 9:56And, and let me just remind you, the chemical abortions that
- 9:59they're doing live at the DNC right now, these chemical
- 10:02abortions can take up to 2-3 days.
- 10:05And sometimes the aftermath is weeks and it basically forces,
- 10:09it kills the baby through starvation and then it forces a
- 10:11miscarriage. This can lead to intense
- 10:14bleeding. It for in many cases, it leads
- 10:15to emergency room visits for these women.
- 10:18We're talking about women who are now at this political
- 10:21convention. That are going through abortion
- 10:24procedures and they're going to be bleeding.
- 10:27Sometimes they pass out. I mean, there's a lot of
- 10:29complications that can happen. And this is what they've turned,
- 10:32they've turned the DNC into that.
- 10:34I mean, I think people don't really realize what these
- 10:36procedures even entail. Another comment is is folks are
- 10:42saying we're praying this is satanic.
- 10:44Yes, here's a comment from EM saying pray the rosary.
- 10:47Yes, we need to pray in response to all of this.
- 10:50I want to go to the ideology of what is actually being said,
- 10:52though, by some of the speakers at the DNC, because they are
- 10:55definitely leading with abortion at the convention.
- 10:58It's being mentioned in all the speeches.
- 10:59It was mentioned in Biden's speech last night.
- 11:01It's going to be mentioned, of course, in Kamala Harris's
- 11:03speech and Governor Walz's speech, who's her VP on the vice
- 11:07president choice, her choice for vice president on the ticket, on
- 11:09her ticket. But there's also all these
- 11:11stories that are being told by attendees and by those that are
- 11:15invited to speak on stage about abortion.
- 11:18And keep in mind, despite the radicalism outside and around
- 11:21the DNC, they still want to make it sound as winsome as possible
- 11:26in the stories they're telling to persuade people that you need
- 11:29abortion, right? This is the message of the
- 11:32Democrats right now is you as a woman, you need abortion.
- 11:36If you don't have abortion, then you're going to be oppressed and
- 11:40you're going to be damaged. And it is core to your womanhood
- 11:43to be able to kill your baby. And so I want to show this clip
- 11:46because I think this is if you've heard of the idea and
- 11:49debate of strong manning a person's or steel manning a
- 11:53person's argument. So they say with a, if you have
- 11:56an opposition in a debate, you can straw man them and create a,
- 12:00an argument that that's not really what they say, that's
- 12:02weaker than their own position and then take it down, right?
- 12:04That would be a straw man. You come up with an argument
- 12:06that's not exactly your opposition's argument, and then
- 12:09you attack it and take it down because it's easy to dismantle
- 12:12their position when it's not actually their position, right?
- 12:15There's something called steel manning your opposition where
- 12:17you take your opposition strongest argument for their
- 12:20case and then you attack front on you.
- 12:24You respond to and debate front on the strongest possible
- 12:28argument that your opposition can have.
- 12:30And so I wanted to do this in this live for you guys because I
- 12:33think it's really important that we engage not just the insane,
- 12:37insane extremism of the Democratic Party on abortion
- 12:41with all of this free abortions at the DNC and inflatable Iuds,
- 12:44etcetera, but that we look at what is their strongest
- 12:47argument, the one that might persuade the most people.
- 12:50And then let's respond to that, right?
- 12:53So that's what we're going to do next.
- 12:56This is a heartbreaking story of a young girl who shared about
- 13:00her story at the Democratic National Convention.
- 13:02I think this was yesterday. This is a clip that's going
- 13:05viral. The media is really eager to
- 13:07play this clip because they think it helps them make their
- 13:10case that we need abortion on demand.
- 13:12I'm going to respond, but let's take a look at the clip.
- 13:14I was raped by my stepfather after years of sexual abuse.
- 13:20At age 12, I took my first pregnancy test and it was
- 13:26positive. That was the first time I was
- 13:29ever told you have options. I can't imagine not having a
- 13:35choice. But today, that's the reality
- 13:40for many women and girls across the country because of Donald
- 13:44Trump's abortion bans. He calls it a beautiful thing.
- 13:50What is so beautiful about a child having to carry her
- 13:57parents child? Kamala Harris will sign a
- 14:02national law to restore the right to an abortion.
- 14:05She will fight for every woman and every girl.
- 14:10You can pause it. So, you know, what they did,
- 14:13what the Democrats did here was in a way shrewd.
- 14:16They had this young woman with this horrific story.
- 14:19I mean, just devastating story. Get up and share and say, you
- 14:23know, basically we need abortion on demand in America because
- 14:26that's what Kamala Harris is going to do and we want her to
- 14:29win, basically. And Trump won't do that.
- 14:31So a few things to note here. First of all, sexual abuse of a
- 14:35child is unbelievably horrific. It is unbelievably horrific and
- 14:40she's sharing that she was sexually abused as a little girl
- 14:42by her stepfather. And then she goes on to share
- 14:45that she got pregnant at 12 and that was the first time she said
- 14:48she had a choice. When I.
- 14:50First heard this clip yesterday. My what rose up in me was a
- 14:55righteous anger that she was not given options, choice or any
- 15:00form of protection before she got pregnant by rape.
- 15:05Meaning the focus of this clip is on her saying that she was
- 15:09liberated basically by abortion. Where were the people preventing
- 15:12her from being sexually molested by her own parent?
- 15:14By her stepfather? Why wasn't this about the people
- 15:18that should have intervened, whether they were doctors,
- 15:21teachers, the other parent involved, relatives that should
- 15:25have intervened in this young girl's life so that she was
- 15:27never in the position in the 1st place to be sexually abused and
- 15:29then impregnated by this stepfather?
- 15:32I mean, the fact that she is making kind of her saving grace
- 15:35be an abortion, What about removing her from the abuse?
- 15:39Because abortion's not a saving grace.
- 15:42Abortion doesn't heal the abuse. Abortion doesn't stop the abuse.
- 15:45If anything, abortion's often used by abusers to continue
- 15:50their abuse because they can, you know, pregnancy is evidence
- 15:53of a crime. They can keep the girl
- 15:55continuing to be available to them sexually.
- 15:57She's not pregnant. No one knows.
- 15:58We're going to keep on the abuse going.
- 16:00I have interviewed, probably at this point, 10 different young
- 16:03girls who've been through similar stories like this young
- 16:05woman and who endured most of them forced abortions.
- 16:11They were taken at age 12131415 to get secret abortions because
- 16:18their abuser wanted to keep the abuse quiet.
- 16:22Abortion does not heal a woman from abuse or rape or a girl
- 16:27from abuse or rape. It does not liberate her from
- 16:30abuse or rape. It is actually used as a tool to
- 16:32continue abuse and rape. And we've documented this at
- 16:35live action in the series called Aiding Abusers.
- 16:38We hood did a whole documentary series on this.
- 16:41We wrote a whole documentary report using the research about
- 16:44sexually trafficked victims, young girls, court cases.
- 16:47These are stories of girls who would later on sue Planned
- 16:51Parenthood were covering up their abuse because their
- 16:54abusers would take them to the abortion clinic.
- 16:56The abortion clinic would not report anything, and the young
- 16:59girl would continue a cycle of abuse being sent back into the
- 17:01arms of her abuser after her abortion.
- 17:05So already the narrative here is putting the the punishment in
- 17:10the wrong place, right? The punishment in this girl's
- 17:13story and in her world at age 12, was put the punishment on
- 17:16the baby. Kill the baby.
- 17:17That'll solve this. No, the punishment needs to be
- 17:20on the abuser. And she should have been
- 17:22protected from the abuser and she wasn't.
- 17:25And it's so tragic that everyone's cheering for her in
- 17:27the abortion she had instead of saying where what happened?
- 17:30Why were you still in in the throes of abuse at age 12?
- 17:33Who was, who failed you? Who wasn't there to protect you?
- 17:37I want to address a couple more things here.
- 17:40Look, as we said, sexual abuse is horrific.
- 17:44But when there's a pregnancy, if there's a pregnancy, there's
- 17:46another human life involved. Now there's another human life
- 17:49involved and that human life is not responsible for the sins of
- 17:54his or her father. They're not responsible.
- 17:57I think about my friend Rebecca Keesling.
- 17:59She's an accomplished attorney now at the mother of four
- 18:01children. And she was conceived in rape.
- 18:04Her mother was the victim of a brutal rape.
- 18:07And at the time, abortion was illegal.
- 18:09This was right before the passing of Roe V.
- 18:11Wade. And she, I tried to get an
- 18:14abortion, wasn't able to because abortion was illegal, ended up
- 18:17giving birth to my friend Rebecca.
- 18:20Rebecca thanks God for the abortion law that protected her
- 18:22life. And later on, Rebecca's mother,
- 18:25this rape survivor would say, I thank God myself when she met
- 18:28Rebecca later on when I think Rebecca was in her 30s because
- 18:31she placed her for adoption. I thank God that I wasn't able
- 18:34to kill you because look at your beautiful life.
- 18:36Look at your beautiful you. So when this young girl, I mean,
- 18:40it's heartbreaking. But when this young girl says,
- 18:42you know, there's nothing beautiful about me carrying my
- 18:45stepfather's child, she's right. There's nothing beautiful about
- 18:49sexual abuse. There's nothing beautiful about
- 18:51the trauma that she endured. It is horrific.
- 18:54And the people failed her around her to not protect her from
- 18:57that. But when there's a new human
- 18:59life involved, that life deserves protection.
- 19:02That life deserves love and we need to be realistic that giving
- 19:06a rape survivor or a incest survivor, giving them an
- 19:11abortion, going and killing that baby, that's not healing them
- 19:14from the trauma of their rape. That's adding a new and
- 19:17additional trauma, an additional injustice on top of the original
- 19:21injustice. So I think this is so important
- 19:24that we talk about openly. It's so important that we are
- 19:27bold on this and stand on this because every child, no matter
- 19:30how they were conceived. Whether they were.
- 19:32Conceived in sexual violence. Conceived in poverty, no matter
- 19:36how they were conceived, Conceived in the worst
- 19:38circumstances. That child conceived in a A.
- 19:42Drunken stupor or whatever it was, that child is still a human
- 19:46being. Your worst is not determined by
- 19:49how you were conceived. Your worth is not affected by
- 19:53the sins of your parents. You're worth.
- 19:55You are as a human life, you are invaluable.
- 19:58And I wish that that girl knew that about her worth and that I
- 20:01wish that child that was killed, that someone advocated for that
- 20:05child and that child. Someone could have looked at the
- 20:08child in their eyes and said you are valuable.
- 20:10It doesn't matter how you came into this world, you are
- 20:12precious and we're going to fight for you.
- 20:14That's the pro-life position. The pro-life position is that
- 20:17every life, no matter your background, no matter your own
- 20:20struggles, your own mistakes you may have made.
- 20:24No matter what you look like, walk like, talk like, where
- 20:26you're from, it doesn't matter, your disabilities doesn't
- 20:29matter. You are a human being.
- 20:32You are a child of God. You are made in God's image and
- 20:34likeness and God has a plan for your life.
- 20:37God has a plan for your life. I'm going to talk about this
- 20:41more when we close out, but I do need to bring up two more clips
- 20:44for you guys for you to be aware of this.
- 20:46A couple more viral clips on this that everyone needs to see.
- 20:49All right, there was a news clip recently.
- 20:51I'm going to talk about the Republicans for a minute.
- 20:53This is all about what's happening at the DNC.
- 20:54It's important. But I do want to compare and
- 20:57contrast this with the Republicans because there's this
- 21:00is it. This is you could say night and
- 21:02day. No, it's not night and day.
- 21:03It's different, different degrees of night actually.
- 21:06So let's show the invocations next that were done at both
- 21:11conventions. So they both conventions had
- 21:14priests come and pray. And I want to call attention to
- 21:17what these priests said. Let's start with the Democratic
- 21:20National Convention invocation. Let us pray.
- 21:30We praise you, O God of all creation.
- 21:34Quicken in us a resolve to protect your handiwork.
- 21:40You are the source of every blessing that graces our lives
- 21:44and our nation. We pray that you help us to
- 21:49truly understand and answer the sacred call of citizenship.
- 21:55We are a nation composed of every people and culture, united
- 22:02not by ties of blood, but by the profound aspirations of life and
- 22:09freedom, justice and unbound hope.
- 22:14These aspirations are why our forebears saw America as a
- 22:19beacon of hope. And with your steady guidance,
- 22:24Lord, may we remain so. Today, in every generation, we
- 22:31are called to renew these aspirations to reweave the
- 22:36fabric of America. We do so when we live out the
- 22:40virtues that dwell in our hearts, but also when we
- 22:45confront our failures to root out ongoing injustices in our
- 22:50national life, especially those created by moral blindness and
- 22:56fear of the other. We pray for peace, especially
- 23:02for people suffering the senselessness of war.
- 23:06But as we pray, we must also act, for building up the common
- 23:11good takes work. It takes love.
- 23:15And so we pray. May our nation become more fully
- 23:20a builder of peace in our wounded world, with the courage
- 23:24to imagine and pursue a loving future together.
- 23:29And may we, as individual Americans become more fully the
- 23:34instrument of God's peace, Guide us, Lord, and taking up our
- 23:40responsibility to forge this new chapter of our nation's history,
- 23:47let it be rooted in the recognition that for us, As for
- 23:50every generation, unity triumphing over division is what
- 23:56advances human dignity and liberty.
- 24:00Let it be propelled by the women and men elected to serve in
- 24:05public life who know that service is the mark of true
- 24:09leadership. And let this new chapter of our
- 24:15nation's history be filled with overwhelming hope, a hope that
- 24:20refuses to narrow our national vision, but rather, as Pope
- 24:24Francis has said, to dream dreams and see visions of what,
- 24:29by your grace, our world can become.
- 24:34We ask all of this trusting in your ever Provident care for us.
- 24:41Amen. OK, so we all listen to this.
- 24:44This was Cardinal Kupich's Inco invocation at the Democratic
- 24:47National Convention just yesterday.
- 24:50And you know, there's a lot of words in here, and there's some
- 24:52beautiful expressions of piety in here.
- 24:54Like, Lord, we want to be effectively instruments of your
- 24:56peace and things like this. There's a prayer against war in
- 24:59here, which is good. We don't want war.
- 25:01We should pray for peace. What is not in here?
- 25:06And I'm just going to call out Cardinal Kupich for this.
- 25:08With all respect, as a daughter of the Church, there is not a
- 25:11moment of realization in here about what is actually happening
- 25:15at the DNC. Imagine going to a ritualistic
- 25:19sacrifice of infants and being asked to do a prayer and not not
- 25:24performing an exorcism. There's no.
- 25:28Exorcism. In here, there's flowery
- 25:30language about unity and standing up and not fearing
- 25:33other people. There's nothing in here about
- 25:38the innocent 25 children who were being murdered outside the
- 25:41doors as he prayed. It is an absolute travesty that
- 25:48our shepherds are not shepherding and souls will go to
- 25:51hell if our shepherds don't shepherd.
- 25:53OK? And so I pray for their courage
- 25:57and their moral clarity. But that's not what happened
- 25:59here. We saw flowery prayers that
- 26:02wouldn't offend anybody and a generalized prayer against war,
- 26:05and not a shred of realization or recognition about what was
- 26:08actually happening in that moment, which was the literal
- 26:11blood sacrifice of infants outside the door.
- 26:13This is unacceptable coming from shepherds of the church.
- 26:18I want to show the next invocation from the RNC.
- 26:22This happened, of course, a few weeks ago, and this was the
- 26:26priest that was invited to give the invocation at the Republican
- 26:29National Convention. And let us pray, Lord, we thank
- 26:38you for our nation. Our founding fathers held the
- 26:42truth self-evident that all are created equal, endowed by their
- 26:48Creator with certain unalienable rights, including life, liberty
- 26:54and the pursuit of happiness. For 248 years, we have sustained
- 27:00this vision to guard the dignity of every life from conception to
- 27:05natural death, to protect their liberty especially, to speak
- 27:10freely and to worship you, and to support their pursuit of
- 27:14happiness through this life to the next.
- 27:19We pray that you assist our elected officials and candidates
- 27:25always to protect our freedoms, to preserve our democracy, and
- 27:30to govern fairly. Grant them the wisdom every day
- 27:34to place the good of our nation above personal interests and to
- 27:39cherish our union. Teach us all to respect justice
- 27:44and our equality before the law. Lord, protect our military.
- 27:51Teach us gratitude that we may never forget their selfless
- 27:55sacrifice and protect also our first responders, police,
- 28:00firefighters and EMTs, for their bravery too gives us peace.
- 28:07There is a sacrifice that all Americans make to participate in
- 28:11the political process. We ask you to receive his
- 28:16servant, Corey Compentadier, and we pray for those who were
- 28:21injured, demonstrating their commitment to our democratic
- 28:26process. Let us offer a moment of silence
- 28:41in the words of George Washington.
- 28:43Almighty God, keep the United States of America in thy holy
- 28:48protection and incline the hearts of the citizens to a
- 28:52brotherly affection and love for one another through Jesus Christ
- 28:57our Lord. Amen.
- 29:02I like that he ended the prayer with through Jesus Christ our
- 29:04Lord that was missing in Archbishop Kupich's prayer.
- 29:08But listen, I'm not here to quibble with the fine details of
- 29:12the prayer, except to say this was Archbishop Jerome Listecki,
- 29:16who led the opening prayer at the RNC.
- 29:18Of course, it was Cardinal Kupich of Chicago that led it at
- 29:20the DNC. We just listened to both those
- 29:21prayers, and you'll notice that there was a reference to life,
- 29:26the right to life, in Archbishop Listecki's prayer.
- 29:30I thought that's nice. But again, at the even at the
- 29:35RNC, abortion wasn't mentioned. There were no abortions being
- 29:37performed outside, thanks be to God.
- 29:39But unfortunately, they did change the platform at the RNC
- 29:42to soften it on life, to say that some abortions might be
- 29:46acceptable provided that the states vote on it and want it.
- 29:49Saying that basically it's not an absolute right to life and
- 29:51that it's up for the states to to to vote on who lives or dies
- 29:55when it comes to abortion. So I think this was a missed
- 29:58opportunity too, with all respect to our Good Shepherd,
- 30:01Archbishop Jerome Mustecki, but it was also a missed
- 30:04opportunity. We are living in the middle of
- 30:07the greatest human rights crisis in American history because
- 30:11there are almost 3000 children killed every single day by
- 30:14abortion legally in this country. 3000 human beings.
- 30:18Killed. This eclipses the death toll,
- 30:20eclipses any other human rights struggle that has happened in
- 30:23this country. Or happens globally.
- 30:26The death toll of abortion, It's the leading cause of death.
- 30:29And the victims are our children, the most vulnerable.
- 30:33And instead of being protected and and cared for and loved,
- 30:36they are thrown away like trash. That's what's happening.
- 30:40And it's happening in our communities, by our churches, by
- 30:42our schools. It's happening all across this
- 30:44country. This should have been front and
- 30:47center. This should have been at minimum
- 30:49if you're going to pray for an end to war.
- 30:52If you're going to pray for the protection of the military, if
- 30:54you're going to get specific in your prayer, it's one thing if
- 30:56the prayer is just a Bible verse and they they just said a Bible
- 30:58verse, but this is an opportunity you have a national
- 31:00platform to set the stage. For a whole political party in
- 31:04the direction that they're veering right, this was an
- 31:07opportunity. And Cardinal Kupich completely
- 31:10blew it, refused to acknowledge the the the literal blood
- 31:13sacrifice happening outside the walls.
- 31:16And here Archbishop Lestucky, that there is nothing specific
- 31:19calling for an end to the violence against children.
- 31:22I don't understand how we can talk about the victims of a
- 31:26shooting or talk about our Armed Services and caring for our
- 31:30military and their protection and not have a word or a thought
- 31:34about the greatest death toll of them all, which is the death
- 31:37toll of children killed by abortion.
- 31:40So may we have a huge awakening, especially among the church and
- 31:46people of faith, to the reality of what is happening to God's
- 31:49children because these are God's children.
- 31:50They're not our children and they have been entrusted to us
- 31:54and to this country and how we treat them is the definition of
- 31:57who we are. This should be front and center.
- 32:02I want to wrap up here, guys, because there's a lot, a lot
- 32:04going here, going on here. And we, we've got to, we've got
- 32:07to wrap soon. But I do want to talk about two
- 32:09other quick things because I did share at length about what's
- 32:12happening at the DNC with regard to abortion.
- 32:15As I said, the RNC rarely mentioned it.
- 32:18They did change their platform to soften it.
- 32:20I do want to just note something though.
- 32:22Vice President JD Vance is a Catholic.
- 32:25From my understanding, he's a Catholic convert.
- 32:26He actually entered the Catholic faith.
- 32:28He wouldn't. Grow up in the faith.
- 32:30I think that's a beautiful thing.
- 32:31I encourage anybody entering or wanting to enter the faith.
- 32:34I know it's a journey. I'm sure JD Vance is on a
- 32:36journey. I pray for him.
- 32:38I pray for all of the candidates.
- 32:40It is our responsibility to pray for all of the candidates.
- 32:42But I need to share that for whatever reason, and I think the
- 32:46reason is clearly political, JD Vance has decided to come out
- 32:50and say that he supports chemical abortions.
- 32:53Let's play this clip. So at his press for this past
- 33:03week, Donald Trump seemed to indicate he was open to
- 33:06restrictions on method person. He was asked by a reporter about
- 33:09this and he said there are many things on a humane basis that
- 33:13you can do but also give a vote. So he did seem to be indicating
- 33:18he's open to restrictions on this particular drug.
- 33:21Look, I think what he said, are you saying that's wrong?
- 33:23Well, I think what he said, Margaret, is, first of all, even
- 33:26some of the reporters who were in the room in that press
- 33:28conference said it wasn't clear what the reporter was asking.
- 33:31Maybe he couldn't hear that person super clearly.
- 33:33So I don't want to put words in President Trump's mouth.
- 33:35What he has said very clearly in the debate is that he agrees
- 33:38with the Supreme Court decision, but more importantly, he wants
- 33:41these decisions to be made by the states.
- 33:43I think that is the President Trump vision for the Republican
- 33:45Party because you personally signed on as the senator to a
- 33:49letter to the DOJ demanding it shut down all mail order
- 33:53abortion operations under the Comstock Act.
- 33:57So would you seek to enforce that law differently?
- 34:01Well, we said in that letter, Margaret, is that we want
- 34:03doctors to prescribe this stuff to ensure that it's safe.
- 34:05And we do this with antibiotics. We do this with a lot of
- 34:08presents. And we, we just want the FDA to
- 34:11make sure that doctors are prescribing this in a Safeway.
- 34:14That's all that we ever said. And I, I believe that that is
- 34:18how President Trump feels about this is, again, you want the
- 34:21states to make these determinations.
- 34:23You also want to make sure the FDA is ensuring that these
- 34:25medications are safe for anybody who's taken them.
- 34:27It's been on the market for decades.
- 34:29And the FDA does say it is safe, but would where an antibiotic,
- 34:33Margaret, antibiotics are safe, but we want to make sure they're
- 34:36prescribed by doctors and the doctors are properly monitoring
- 34:39and stuff so that people don't get hurt.
- 34:40And of course, we've talked now I think for six questions about
- 34:44abortion. I'm still trying to get a clear
- 34:46answer. So for I gave you a commissioner
- 34:48that you would be part of choosing where that commissioner
- 34:51stands on this drug. Would that determine whether or
- 34:55not they are chosen to be put in this key role?
- 34:58I think President Trump has clearly said there are no litmus
- 35:01tests on this particular issue. He just wants to make sure that
- 35:04drugs are safe and effective before they're out there in the
- 35:06market and of course, that doctors are properly controlling
- 35:09the stuff so that people don't get hurt.
- 35:11And, and again, Margaret, I mean, we talk about abortion.
- 35:14I think President Trump's views on abortion are extremely clear.
- 35:18What's interesting, of course, is that President Trump is
- 35:20trying to find some common ground on this issue.
- 35:23And you have Democrats who have supported abortion right up to
- 35:26the moment and sometimes even beyond the moment of birth,
- 35:29which is just sick stuff. And I think it's such a
- 35:32contract. It is accurate.
- 35:34In fact, the Born Alive Act, multiple members of the current
- 35:37Democratic administration, including our vice president,
- 35:40supported that legislation. They've supported taxpayer fund
- 35:43that abortions up to the moment of birth.
- 35:45I just think it's bizarre. And you contrast it to Donald
- 35:48Trump, who's trying to find some common ground on this issue.
- 35:51What he's trying to actually, he's saying send it back to the
- 35:53states so he doesn't have to stake out the position the
- 35:56states so that the states work. That's an important part of our
- 35:58federal process, is that states sometimes are going to make
- 36:01these decisions for themselves. And I think that's how you find
- 36:04some common ground. But on that, you were saying
- 36:06both that it should be doctors who determine the safety of a
- 36:08drug, but also that states should determine the
- 36:11availability of that drug. Do I have that right?
- 36:13States are going to determine their abortion policy and of
- 36:16course doctors are going to, if 60% are through medication
- 36:19abortion, it brings us back to the pill that that's why I was
- 36:21asking you that. Well, but again, states are
- 36:24going to make these decisions. I'm, I'm actually confused a
- 36:26little bit by the question, Margaret, because if, if
- 36:28Alabama, let's say, is going to have a different abortion policy
- 36:31from California, that's not inconsistent with then saying
- 36:34doctors are going to have to prescribe this stuff, whatever
- 36:36the individual policy of the state is.
- 36:38I'm, I'm not sure what the confusion is there.
- 36:41I don't know. President Trump said there are
- 36:42some humane things that could be done in addition to, again, in a
- 36:46in a loud room where he couldn't hear the question super well.
- 36:48But I think his view on this has been very clear and I've just
- 36:50articulated it. We want to clarify what Senator
- 36:53Vance said about the Born alive. All right, so you can hear JD
- 36:59Vancey's trying to dodge, he's getting pummeled by this
- 37:01reporter who's trying to get him to say that he supports banning
- 37:06abortion pills because that is the pro-life position.
- 37:09You should be against making these lethal drugs on the
- 37:12market. It is insane that we have
- 37:14abortion pills being sent via mail right now.
- 37:17You can order them. If you're a sexual abuser of a
- 37:19young girl, you can order a pill online and it can show up at the
- 37:21door and you can force this little girl to take it.
- 37:23I mean, that has happened. A boyfriend's putting a pills in
- 37:26girlfriend's drugs cups to try to force abortions and what they
- 37:32the correct answer should be no, we need to fight for life, stand
- 37:36for life, and these lethal drugs should not be on the market.
- 37:38These lethal drugs should not be on the market.
- 37:41But what you're hearing instead is the position of the.
- 37:43Unfortunately, this new kind of compromise position that the
- 37:47Republican side is taking, Trump's campaign is taking is
- 37:51saying, well, we're going to let the states decide and we're
- 37:53going to not stop the abortion pills from being used.
- 37:59I mean, that's up to the states if they want to do it and they
- 38:01it's fine for them to be used. And I think the point here is we
- 38:05no abortion pill, no lethal drug designed to kill a baby is
- 38:09medication, is actual medicine. It's designed to kill.
- 38:11Medicine should be designed to heal.
- 38:13And so the correct answer should should be.
- 38:15We should not allow these. Drugs in the.
- 38:16Market. These should not be on the
- 38:18market. That should be the correct
- 38:19answer. We should fight for life.
- 38:21We should stand boldly for life. And unfortunately, we're not
- 38:23seeing that. And it's completely
- 38:25heartbreaking that we see the softening from the Republican
- 38:30side. This is an opportunity.
- 38:31You know, if I could be giving campaign advice right now to the
- 38:34Trump campaign, this is an opportunity.
- 38:36Look at the extremism on the left right now.
- 38:39Look at the extremism at the DNC.
- 38:41Now's the time to say this is insane.
- 38:43We need to fight for life. Children's lives matter.
- 38:45We need to fight for families and we're not going to.
- 38:47Put up with this. But instead, we see the language
- 38:50of compromise and the language of let states decide and figure
- 38:53it out because we're going to basically wash your hands of
- 38:56this. And I think that is not a
- 38:59motivating message for the base. I know a lot of people who are
- 39:02pro-life are concerned and and quite frankly, disappointed
- 39:06about the fact that there's a softening on the right right now
- 39:11among former pro-life champions. There's one more clip I need to
- 39:15share with you, though, about from JD Vance talking about
- 39:19abortion pills. So that kind of shares with you
- 39:21how he's trying to message on this.
- 39:23I mean, he maybe feels like he's between a rock and a hard place
- 39:26because the Trump administration wants to soften on abortion.
- 39:29He's a Catholic, he should be pro-life.
- 39:30There's one more clip we're going to play here.
- 39:32I'm going to, if you can, you pull this up, Frank, it just
- 39:35came through. OK perfect.
- 39:36Let's let's play this clip next. On the question of the abortion
- 39:41pill, what so many of us have said is that look, we, we
- 39:44certainly don't. The Supreme Court made a
- 39:46decision saying that the American people should have
- 39:50access to that medication. Donald Trump has supported that
- 39:53opinion. I support that opinion.
- 39:55I think it's important to say that we we actually have to have
- 39:59an important conversation in this country about what are
- 40:02abortion. You can pause it right there.
- 40:04So this is this is the fruit of the waffling from JD Vance.
- 40:08It's totally tragic the the Supreme Court has decided that
- 40:12Americans should have access to the pill.
- 40:15They should have the right to access the pill.
- 40:17Ultimately, if they make that decision, they they want that
- 40:20Donald Trump supports that and I.
- 40:21Support that why I, I just, I just, I'm I'm so saddened to see
- 40:29this, quite frankly, from someone who has formerly
- 40:32professed the pro-life position. And it's not necessary.
- 40:35I mean, it's not principled. And I don't think even on a
- 40:38political standpoint, anything unprincipled, I don't think is
- 40:42actually necessary. I think you need to stand by the
- 40:44truth regardless of whether you're running for office.
- 40:47But if you're running for office and you want to win, you want to
- 40:50galvanized pro family, pro-life people, this is not the way.
- 40:54This is not the way to show that you're different than the
- 40:55Democrats by saying, yeah, we support access to abortion
- 40:58pills, abortion pills which kill almost 60% of children killed by
- 41:01abortion in this country. So it's deeply disappointing to
- 41:05see this from JD Vance. I hope that he changes course on
- 41:08this. I hope that President Trump
- 41:10changes course on this. And of course, I hope as well
- 41:13that Kamala Harris has a conversion, that Governor Tim
- 41:16Walls has a conversion. Let's pray for the conversion of
- 41:18all of them. And I'm going to close, close us
- 41:20here because we are dealing with, we're dealing with evils
- 41:24here. And as voters, sometimes we have
- 41:26to choose the lesser of two evils and vote our conscience in
- 41:29the voting booth. But I'm going to pray for the
- 41:33best way, which would be conversion daily conversion for
- 41:36all of us, and conversion for our shepherds, for our bishops,
- 41:38for our leaders, our pastors, and conversion for our political
- 41:42candidates. And so in the spirit of that, I
- 41:45want to end us with a prayer. Some of you might be familiar
- 41:48with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
- 41:50And this is a very beautiful prayer that the church has given
- 41:54to us through Saints. Actually, it's an incredible,
- 41:56we're not going to get into the history of the, of the Chaplet,
- 41:58but St. Faustina is a beautiful St. that
- 42:02I love. And this is a beautiful prayer
- 42:04that she gave us, that she was given by God to give us and
- 42:07share with us. And it's about praying for
- 42:09mercy. It's a prayer of repentance and
- 42:12it's a prayer for mercy on this country.
- 42:15And so I'm going to just pray one decade of the Chaplet of
- 42:18Divine Mercy. You basically have it's like a
- 42:22rosary. You have 5 decades, each has 10
- 42:24beads, but there's ten small prayers that you pray.
- 42:26And this meditation helps us again ask God for mercy and it.
- 42:31Starts with this prayer. I'm going to pray it and you're
- 42:33welcome to join me in the chat. If you don't know how to pray
- 42:36the Divine Mercy chaplet, maybe we can hold this up on the
