- 0:01Speaker 1: We are hours away from a government shutdown. That is
- 0:05Speaker 1: the big story. And what we know right now is
- 0:08Speaker 1: earlier in the day, the President made it very clear
- 0:11Speaker 1: that he didn't want there to be a government shut down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: but he's having to deal with the Democrats.
- 0:16Speaker 2: A meeting with as you know, a couple of Democrats
- 0:19Speaker 2: a little while about the country but keeping our country open.
- 0:24Speaker 2: They're going to have to do some things because their
- 0:28Speaker 2: ideas are not very good ones. They're very bad for
- 0:30Speaker 2: our country. So we'll see how that works out.
- 0:33Speaker 1: We'll see how that works out. Now we know that
- 0:36Speaker 1: Democrats don't want to shut down the government, right how
- 0:39Speaker 1: do we know this? They've been saying it for years,
- 0:42Speaker 1: but all of a sudden now they're in favor of it.
- 0:45Speaker 1: So which Democratic party do you really trust? Well, I'd
- 0:48Speaker 1: love to just remind you, the American people, what the
- 0:52Speaker 1: Democrats have said in the not too distant pass about
- 0:56Speaker 1: government shutdowns. Many of the voices that you're going to
- 0:59Speaker 1: hear are still in power running our government right now.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Will these people hostage instead of just letting them do
- 1:08Speaker 3: their jobs, which they want to do while we work
- 1:11Speaker 3: out our differences?
- 1:14Speaker 4: So wrong?
- 1:14Speaker 5: This is democracy, and in a democracy, hostage tactics are
- 1:20Speaker 5: the last resort for those who can't win their fights
- 1:23Speaker 5: through elections, can't win their fights in Congress, can't win
- 1:28Speaker 5: their fights for the presidency, and can't win their fights
- 1:31Speaker 5: in the court.
- 1:32Speaker 6: They doesn't shut down as any duration with harm hard
- 1:35Speaker 6: working Americans and our economy.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Why should we ask TSA officers to go without their
- 1:41Speaker 3: harder and pay while they protect our airports.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I'm a senator from Virginia. Some of the hardest effects
- 1:46Speaker 4: of shutdown will.
- 1:47Speaker 7: Be seen in my state.
- 1:48Speaker 3: If the government shuts down, it will be average Americans
- 1:51Speaker 3: who suffer most.
- 1:52Speaker 8: Some right now are trying to figure out how they're
- 1:55Speaker 8: going to pay rent, how they're going to make mortgage payments,
- 1:58Speaker 8: how they're going to keep college payments going, how they're
- 2:01Speaker 8: going to keep the lights on, how they're going to
- 2:02Speaker 8: keep food on the table.
- 2:03Speaker 6: Had the government shutdown, hundreds of thousands of people would
- 2:07Speaker 6: have not gotten their paychecks. Federal employees would have been
- 2:10Speaker 6: furloughed sent home.
- 2:12Speaker 9: Our military will get paid, head start teachers will get paid,
- 2:17Speaker 9: our wildfire fighters will get paid, present federal prison guards
- 2:21Speaker 9: will get paid.
- 2:22Speaker 3: A government shutdown, these seniors who rely on Social Security
- 2:25Speaker 3: could be thrown into chaos. Our veterans could see regional
- 2:28Speaker 3: VA offices shut down and support services put on hold.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Shutdowns are not good for the economy.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Shutdowns cost taxpayers billions of dollars per week.
- 2:39Speaker 10: Shutdowns cost the economy billions of dollars.
- 2:44Speaker 7: They cost businesses money.
- 2:46Speaker 9: They could even.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Cost a downgrade to the nation's credit rating.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Families who benefit from WICK and other nutrition programs could
- 2:54Speaker 3: see benefits halted.
- 2:55Speaker 8: If this shutdown continues indefinitely, thirty nine million Americans risk
- 3:00Speaker 8: not having enough.
- 3:01Speaker 1: They will lose their SNAP benefits in February, so that
- 3:04Speaker 1: means American.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Children will be going to bed hungry.
- 3:07Speaker 5: It's unacceptable.
- 3:08Speaker 8: The longer that this shutdown goes on, the more Americans
- 3:12Speaker 8: that will be affected.
- 3:14Speaker 9: Critical services and our economy are being threatened with poison pill.
- 3:18Speaker 10: Partisanship.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Shutting down the government should not be a negotiating tactic.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Hostage taking is all They have left, a last gasp
- 3:28Speaker 5: of those who cannot cope with the realities of our democracies.
- 3:35Speaker 1: That is the Democratic Party. That montage put together by
- 3:38Speaker 1: the White House President Donald Trump putting it out on
- 3:41Speaker 1: true social as well, and the question that everyone should
- 3:45Speaker 1: be asking is where are those Democrats and what changed? Well,
- 3:49Speaker 1: we know a lot of what changed, and that is
- 3:52Speaker 1: the fact that they want to hold America hostage for
- 3:54Speaker 1: what they want.
- 3:56Speaker 7: What do they want?
- 3:57Speaker 1: Well, they want a one point five I have a
- 4:00Speaker 1: trillion dollar port barrel list for them. What is included
- 4:04Speaker 1: in it is what should shock most of you. Free
- 4:08Speaker 1: healthcare for illegal immigrants, child mutilations that are covered by
- 4:14Speaker 1: the tax payers. Medicaid fraud is also something they want
- 4:18Speaker 1: to keep going. Open borders is part of the one
- 4:22Speaker 1: point five trillion as well, and demanding men in women's sports.
- 4:27Speaker 1: But what are Democrats saying online? Mark Warner said, This
- 4:31Speaker 1: Democrats position is simple, lower costs, save real health care,
- 4:37Speaker 1: keep the government open.
- 4:39Speaker 7: It shouldn't be this hard.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Let's just repeal costly cuts health care and save millions
- 4:43Speaker 1: of Americans money. Well, then the question is why is
- 4:46Speaker 1: it costing us one point five trillion for all the
- 4:50Speaker 1: radical ideals that they're demanding. This is who the left is.
- 4:55Speaker 1: They're literally holding the country hostage now, and it is
- 4:59Speaker 1: a party of open, of allowing for violent crime and
- 5:03Speaker 1: transgender for everybody, and all of those ideas are now
- 5:07Speaker 1: literally jeopardizing a lot of important things, which include military pay,
- 5:13Speaker 1: critical care for veterans, firefighter pay, disaster relief funding, and
- 5:20Speaker 1: many more programs on which many Americans rely on. Now,
- 5:24Speaker 1: Donald Trump and Republicans are committed to keeping the government
- 5:28Speaker 1: open with a clean funding extension.
- 5:33Speaker 7: What's even more shocking is they don't want that.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Now.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You may say, well, hold on a second, what is
- 5:39Speaker 1: a clean funding extension?
- 5:42Speaker 7: What does this actually mean? How do we know that's
- 5:45Speaker 7: a good thing.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about my friends over
- 5:48Speaker 1: at Patriot Mobile. You've got a lot of choices for
- 5:51Speaker 1: cell phone service, with new ones popping up all the time.
- 5:55Speaker 1: But if you want to make a difference and you
- 5:57Speaker 1: want to stop giving your money to liberal companies, well,
- 6:00Speaker 1: one way you can do that is by getting rid
- 6:03Speaker 1: of Liberal Mobile you probably have right now. That is
- 6:06Speaker 1: where hundreds of thousands of Americans are now coming together
- 6:09Speaker 1: and have made Patriot Mobile what they are today. They've
- 6:12Speaker 1: been in service now for thirteen years, and right now
- 6:17Speaker 1: is the best time ever to switch, because it's never
- 6:20Speaker 1: been easier. Now, before I tell you about that, I
- 6:22Speaker 1: want you to know why switching is so important. Because
- 6:25Speaker 1: every time you make a call, every time you send
- 6:27Speaker 1: a text, and every time that you pay your bill,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you're actually standing up for the values you believe in.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Your First and your Second Amendment rights, the rights of
- 6:35Speaker 1: unborn children, and you stand with our military, our veterans,
- 6:39Speaker 1: are wounded warriors, and our fallen soldier families. Because Patriot
- 6:42Speaker 1: Mobile takes about five percent of your bill every month
- 6:45Speaker 1: at no extra cost to you, and they give it
- 6:48Speaker 1: back to these organizations that fight for our values. Now,
- 6:52Speaker 1: let's talk about switching. It has never been easier. You
- 6:55Speaker 1: can keep your same number, keep your saying phone, or upgrade.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile's got a one hundred percent US based customer
- 7:01Speaker 1: service team and literally they can now with technology, get
- 7:05Speaker 1: you activated in minutes from the comfort your home or
- 7:08Speaker 1: your office. You're second a contractor, owe money on your phones,
- 7:11Speaker 1: no worries. Patriot Mobile has a contract buyout program. And
- 7:15Speaker 1: this is how we win, folks by aligning our spinning
- 7:19Speaker 1: with our values. Every dollar we spend matters. Now, let
- 7:22Speaker 1: me also give you a free month of service. Go
- 7:25Speaker 1: to Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson. That's Patriot Mobile dot
- 7:31Speaker 1: com slash ferguson, or you can call them nine to
- 7:34Speaker 1: seven to two. Patriot use the promo code ferguson, and
- 7:39Speaker 1: you're gonna get one month free service by switching today.
- 7:42Speaker 1: So again, Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson, use the promo
- 7:46Speaker 1: code ferguson, You'll get a free month of service today
- 7:48Speaker 1: Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or nine to seven to
- 7:51Speaker 1: two patriot. Take a listen to what the White House
- 7:55Speaker 1: Press Secretary had to say about it when she was
- 7:57Speaker 1: explaining it to the press.
- 7:59Speaker 11: What I want share is that what this White House
- 8:02Speaker 11: wants and what Republicans want. We want a clean funding
- 8:05Speaker 11: extension to keep the government open.
- 8:07Speaker 7: That's all.
- 8:08Speaker 11: We're advocating for, a simple, clean budget extension, a straightforward,
- 8:11Speaker 11: responsible solution to keep the government open to November twenty
- 8:14Speaker 11: first and allow the full year appropriations process to move forward.
- 8:19Speaker 11: And I will add this is the same budget that
- 8:21Speaker 11: the Democrats approved six months ago, just adjusted for inflation.
- 8:25Speaker 11: And unfortunately, all of a sudden now they want to
- 8:27Speaker 11: shut down the government. And if the government is shut down,
- 8:31Speaker 11: it's only going to it will be the fault of
- 8:33Speaker 11: the Democrats, and it will only hurt the most vulnerable
- 8:35Speaker 11: in our country, our seniors, our veterans, our military families,
- 8:39Speaker 11: and increasing security for members of Congress, which is something
- 8:42Speaker 11: this White House in the administration supports. And if you
- 8:45Speaker 11: look back at the statements made by Chuck Schumer and
- 8:48Speaker 11: Hakeem Jeffries in the past, they too have advocated against
- 8:52Speaker 11: a shutdown and for keeping the government open. Democrat Chuck
- 8:57Speaker 11: Schumer himself said a shutdown would mean chaos, pain, and
- 9:00Speaker 11: needless heartache for the American people. He said once avoiding
- 9:04Speaker 11: a shutdown is very good news for the country, for
- 9:06Speaker 11: our veterans, for parents and children, for farmers, and for
- 9:09Speaker 11: small businesses. Hikim Jeffries also said, it's about the harm.
- 9:13Speaker 11: Families will be hurt if there is a government shutdown,
- 9:16Speaker 11: Farmers will be hurt, holiday travel will be impacted. Democrats
- 9:20Speaker 11: clearly know what the right thing to do is here.
- 9:22Speaker 11: It's to join with Republicans to pass this clean funding extension.
- 9:25Speaker 11: That's what the White House and the President wants.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So that's the playground that we have right now before us.
- 9:32Speaker 1: They are playing with many people's lives. They're playing with
- 9:35Speaker 1: people who desperately need their paychecks. They're playing with our
- 9:38Speaker 1: men and women in uniform, including their paychecks. And if
- 9:42Speaker 1: you look at all of what I just ascribed to you.
- 9:45Speaker 1: You would think that Democrats would say, all right, let's
- 9:48Speaker 1: just have a clean extension. No, no, no, that is
- 9:51Speaker 1: absolutely not what they're wanting to do. So then you
- 9:54Speaker 1: have to ask yourself the question, why is this Schumer
- 9:58Speaker 1: shutdown becoming a reality. Well, it actually is all about politics,
- 10:03Speaker 1: but not the usual them against us mentality.
- 10:08Speaker 7: It's actually really simple.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer is going to shut down the government to
- 10:14Speaker 1: show that he is a radical liberal. Now you may say,
- 10:17Speaker 1: why would he want to do that, It's actually very simple.
- 10:20Speaker 1: He is terrified of a primary challenge from the famous
- 10:25Speaker 1: radical aoc The Senate Minority Leader, is pushing Congress to
- 10:30Speaker 1: a government shutdown because he's so scared of being challenged
- 10:34Speaker 1: in a primary by far left Representative Alexander Ocassio Cortes.
- 10:39Speaker 1: The Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Tom Cotton also throwing this
- 10:44Speaker 1: out today, making it clear this is all about him
- 10:47Speaker 1: trying to save himself. And after Schumer and the House
- 10:50Speaker 1: Minority leader had came, Jeffries left their Monday afternoon meeting
- 10:54Speaker 1: with President Donald Trump without a deal to avoid a
- 10:57Speaker 1: government shutdown before the Wednesday deadline, and blasted the New
- 11:01Speaker 1: York Center in a statement saying, quote, Chuck Schumer is
- 11:04Speaker 1: shutting down the government because he's terrified of a primary
- 11:08Speaker 1: from AOC. His actions are disgraceful, referring to when asked
- 11:14Speaker 1: about the reaction of Democrats' refusal degree on even a
- 11:18Speaker 1: short term funding deal. House Republicans were joined by a
- 11:23Speaker 1: singular Democrat representative Jared Golden of Maine and passing a
- 11:28Speaker 1: bill on September the nineteenth that would have kept the
- 11:30Speaker 1: government funding until November twentieth, but Senate Democrats blocked it
- 11:35Speaker 1: from advancing. Instead, they proposed their own funding bill demands
- 11:40Speaker 1: with an extra you know, one point four to one
- 11:42Speaker 1: point five trillion for their radical far left projects, including
- 11:46Speaker 1: free health care for illegals, funding by the way for
- 11:49Speaker 1: MPR and PBS, and transgendered surgeries that you're supposed to
- 11:54Speaker 1: pay for now. Republicans blocked the Democrats counter offer for
- 11:58Speaker 1: advancing this in the Senate, leaving Congress to either come
- 12:01Speaker 1: to an agreement by midnight on Tuesday or accept a
- 12:06Speaker 1: real government shutdown that could actually last a long time.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats are willing to shut down
- 12:14Speaker 1: the government because they're scared of their radical base take
- 12:19Speaker 1: a list of center. Cotton saying this to Hugh Hewitt.
- 12:22Speaker 12: Schumer is about shut down the government because he's scared
- 12:25Speaker 12: of a girl in New York City. Her name is
- 12:28Speaker 12: Alexandria Kazier Quortez, and he fears that she will primary
- 12:32Speaker 12: him four years from now, in twenty twenty eight if
- 12:36Speaker 12: he doesn't do the far left bidding. If you call
- 12:39Speaker 12: Hugh and marsh As, we're on the verge of another
- 12:41Speaker 12: Schumer shutdown. He caved and voted to keep the government
- 12:47Speaker 12: open and gave all kinds of backflipping explanations for why
- 12:51Speaker 12: he was not doing what the left demanded, and he
- 12:54Speaker 12: got some blowback from his left and from Alexandri Cazier
- 12:58Speaker 12: Cortez and been fearful of her and of this vote
- 13:02Speaker 12: ever since. So he's apparently about to lead his caucus
- 13:06Speaker 12: over the cliff and shut down the government because he
- 13:10Speaker 12: doesn't want Alexandria Causier Cortez to run against him in
- 13:14Speaker 12: four years.
- 13:15Speaker 7: Is it actually that simple?
- 13:17Speaker 1: The answer is yes, especially if you listen to Democrats
- 13:20Speaker 1: that we played for you earlier in their own words.
- 13:24Speaker 1: So where do we go from here? The reality is
- 13:27Speaker 1: we are moments away, hours away minutes away from a
- 13:30Speaker 1: government's shutdown. And Democrats are doing this for two reasons.
- 13:34Speaker 1: They want to fund their radical agenda, but what they're
- 13:37Speaker 1: also doing it for is to try to save their leader.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer came out in front of the cameras and
- 13:44Speaker 1: made it very clear after you left the White House meeting.
- 13:47Speaker 7: Here's his thoughts on the shutdown.
- 13:49Speaker 13: We have very large differences on healthcare and on their
- 13:53Speaker 13: ability to undo whatever budget we agree to through decisions
- 13:57Speaker 13: and through impoundment as well as pocket recisions.
- 14:02Speaker 1: It's very clear Chuck Schumer not talking like a man
- 14:05Speaker 1: that wants to actually get anything done. You had the
- 14:08Speaker 1: Vice President jd Vance who came out of that meeting
- 14:11Speaker 1: with Speaker Johnson. Here's part of what he said in response.
- 14:15Speaker 10: We just had a very frank conversation with the Senate
- 14:17Speaker 10: and House Democratic leadership. Look, the principle at stake here
- 14:21Speaker 10: is very simple. We have disagreements about tax policy.
- 14:23Speaker 4: But you don't shut that government down.
- 14:24Speaker 10: We have disagreements about healthcare policy, but you don't shut
- 14:27Speaker 10: the government down. You don't use your policy disagreements as
- 14:30Speaker 10: leverage to not pay our troops, to not have essential
- 14:34Speaker 10: for services of government. Actually function.
- 14:36Speaker 4: You don't say the fact that you disagree about a particular.
- 14:38Speaker 10: Tax provision is an excuse for shutting down to the
- 14:41Speaker 10: people's government and all the essential services that come along
- 14:44Speaker 10: with it. If you look at what Chuck Schumer has
- 14:46Speaker 10: said in the past consistently, it's whatever our disagreements are,
- 14:49Speaker 10: let's negotiate with him, let's talk about them, let's figure
- 14:52Speaker 10: out a bipartisan solution. But you don't shut the government down.
- 14:55Speaker 10: In other words, you don't put a gun to the
- 14:57Speaker 10: American people's head and say, unless you do exactly what
- 15:00Speaker 10: Senate and House Democrats want you to do, we're going
- 15:03Speaker 10: to shut down your government.
- 15:04Speaker 4: That's exactly what they're proposing out there now. We have
- 15:06Speaker 4: to remember they're very frustrated.
- 15:08Speaker 10: They say that they're very frustrated about the fact that
- 15:10Speaker 10: this negotiation has not taken place until today. But if
- 15:13Speaker 10: you look at the original the original thing they did
- 15:16Speaker 10: with this negotiation, it was a one point five trillion
- 15:19Speaker 10: dollar spending package, basically saying to the American people, we
- 15:22Speaker 10: want to give massive amounts of money, hundreds of billions
- 15:25Speaker 10: of dollars to illegal aliens for their health care while
- 15:27Speaker 10: Americans are struggling to.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Pay their health care bills. That was their.
- 15:30Speaker 10: Initial foray into this negotiation. We thought it was absurd.
- 15:34Speaker 10: We told them it was absurd, And now they come
- 15:36Speaker 10: in here it's saying that if you don't give us
- 15:38Speaker 10: everything that we want, we're going to shut down the government.
- 15:42Speaker 4: We think that's preposterous.
- 15:43Speaker 10: We think it's totally unacceptable, and we think the American
- 15:46Speaker 10: people are going to suffer because these guys won't do
- 15:49Speaker 10: the right thing.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Now, I want to make one final point here. You
- 15:51Speaker 4: will hear a lot.
- 15:52Speaker 10: From Senate Democrats, from House Democrats about the fact that
- 15:55Speaker 10: American health care policy is broken. Well, we know that
- 15:57Speaker 10: American health care policy is broken. We've been trying to
- 16:00Speaker 10: fix it for the eight months that we've been in office.
- 16:02Speaker 10: But every single thing that they accused about being broken
- 16:06Speaker 10: about American health care is policy that Democrats have supported
- 16:09Speaker 10: for the past decade. So if they want to talk
- 16:11Speaker 10: about how to fix American health care policy.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 16:14Speaker 10: The Speaker would love to do it, the Senate Majority
- 16:16Speaker 10: leader would love to do it.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Let's work on it together.
- 16:18Speaker 10: But let's do it in the context of an open
- 16:20Speaker 10: government that's providing essential services to the American people. That's
- 16:24Speaker 10: all that we're proposing to do, and the fact that
- 16:26Speaker 10: they refuse to do that shows how unreasonable their position is.
- 16:29Speaker 10: I think we're headed to a shutdown because the Democrats
- 16:32Speaker 10: won't do the right thing. I hope they changed their mind,
- 16:34Speaker 10: but we're going.
- 16:34Speaker 4: To see it.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I hope they change their mind, but we'll see. He
- 16:38Speaker 1: wasn't done there. There's also other points that were made
- 16:42Speaker 1: as well. Leader John Thune on the Democrats pulling America
- 16:46Speaker 1: towards a government shut down.
- 16:47Speaker 7: Here's what he said walking out of the meeting.
- 16:50Speaker 6: This right here, ladies and gentlemen, is what we're talking about.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Twenty four pages to continue resolution to fund the government
- 16:55Speaker 6: through November the twenty first. I don't know where they're
- 16:59Speaker 6: saying this is some huge partisan thing. This is something
- 17:02Speaker 6: we do fairly routinely, and when the Democrats had the
- 17:05Speaker 6: majority on thirteen different occasions they have the majority. President
- 17:08Speaker 6: Biden was in the White House, we pass continuing resolutions
- 17:11Speaker 6: to fund the government. This is purely and simply hostage,
- 17:16Speaker 6: taking the path on behalf of the Democrats. The Republicans
- 17:20Speaker 6: are United House Republicans, Senate Republicans, President Trump. The House
- 17:25Speaker 6: has passed a clean Funding Resolution to fund the government
- 17:28Speaker 6: until November the twenty first. It's clean, it is bipartisan,
- 17:32Speaker 6: and it is short term, but it gives us enough
- 17:35Speaker 6: time to finish the appropriations process, which is the way
- 17:38Speaker 6: we should be funding the government. So Republicans in the House,
- 17:42Speaker 6: the Senate, President United they passed the bill. This is
- 17:45Speaker 6: setting setting right now at the Senate desk. We could
- 17:48Speaker 6: pick it up and pass it tonight. We could pick
- 17:51Speaker 6: it up and pass it tomorrow before the government shuts down,
- 17:54Speaker 6: and then we don't have a government shutdown.
- 17:56Speaker 7: It is totally up.
- 17:56Speaker 6: To the Democrats because right now they are the only
- 17:59Speaker 6: thing standing between the American people and the government shutting down.
- 18:04Speaker 6: We're all in favor of funding the government, and this
- 18:07Speaker 6: is something that's been done routinely thirteen different times by
- 18:09Speaker 6: the Democrats when they had the majority. So to me,
- 18:12Speaker 6: this is purely a hostage taking exercise on the part
- 18:16Speaker 6: of the Democrats. We are willing to sit down and
- 18:18Speaker 6: work with them on some of the issues they want
- 18:20Speaker 6: to talk about, whether it's the extension of premium tax
- 18:22Speaker 6: credits with reforms. We're happy to have that conversation. But
- 18:26Speaker 6: as of right now, this is a hijacking all the
- 18:31Speaker 6: American people, and it's the American people are going to
- 18:34Speaker 6: pay the price.
- 18:35Speaker 1: It's a hijacking of the American people, and the American
- 18:39Speaker 1: people are going to be the ones that pay the price. Democrats,
- 18:43Speaker 1: by the way, when Americans pay for health care for
- 18:46Speaker 1: illegals and they're ready to shut down the government for it,
- 18:50Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren seven hours ago said.
- 18:53Speaker 7: Americans need affordable health care.
- 18:55Speaker 1: No one should go bankrupt because they get sick and
- 18:57Speaker 1: needed a doctor. If republic can want to shut down
- 19:00Speaker 1: the government so they can keep increasing costs and cutting
- 19:04Speaker 1: health care, then they need to explain that to the
- 19:07Speaker 1: American people. So what are the Democrats demanding? Not healthcare
- 19:10Speaker 1: for you, They're demanding healthcare for illegal immigrants. I'm going
- 19:15Speaker 1: to say it again, They're demanding it for illegal immigrants.
- 19:21Speaker 1: The Speaker of the House, Johnson saying this on Fox
- 19:24Speaker 1: News Channel about the shutdown.
- 19:26Speaker 7: It went well.
- 19:27Speaker 9: Sean, by the way, thanks for playing the highlight real tonight.
- 19:30Speaker 9: Their hypocrisy is just breathtaking and it's shameless, and it
- 19:34Speaker 9: was on display in the Oval Office. Credit President Trump
- 19:37Speaker 9: showing real leadership. He's operating in good faith and that
- 19:40Speaker 9: was on display by bringing the leaders in He heard
- 19:42Speaker 9: the arguments and the debates. They're baseless. I mean, Chuck
- 19:46Speaker 9: Schimber is now arguing exactly the opposite of what he
- 19:50Speaker 9: has always said in his career. And why you hit
- 19:54Speaker 9: the nail right on the head, Sean. He's doing it
- 19:57Speaker 9: at a political desperation. He is willing to force the
- 20:00Speaker 9: government to shut down just to oppose President Trump for
- 20:03Speaker 9: temporary political cover for himself, and he will abandon the
- 20:06Speaker 9: American people just to do that. It's really something to
- 20:09Speaker 9: watch now.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Speaker Johnson also had this to say as he walked
- 20:13Speaker 1: out of the White House and talking about just how
- 20:16Speaker 1: consequential this shutdown will be, where Democrats aren't even thinking
- 20:20Speaker 1: about our men and women in uniform, those eating, FEMA,
- 20:23Speaker 1: funding mental health services, and a whole lot more.
- 20:27Speaker 9: Their counterproposal, what Chuck Schumer and Hakim Jeffries are demanding,
- 20:30Speaker 9: is that they claw back the fifty billion dollars if
- 20:33Speaker 9: we put into the rural hospital support structure. They want
- 20:36Speaker 9: to take that back. We're not going to do that.
- 20:38Speaker 9: We passed that because we have to allow for that. Also,
- 20:42Speaker 9: if they shut the government down, not only are troops unpaid,
- 20:45Speaker 9: federal workers and all the services that everybody relies upon.
- 20:48Speaker 9: But the Whig program, the nutrition program, women infinite children,
- 20:51Speaker 9: they will not get that program will not be funded.
- 20:53Speaker 9: FEMA won't be funded. We have hurricanes off the coast
- 20:56Speaker 9: of the United States right now. This is serious business.
- 20:59Speaker 9: Have mental health services, all that that's funded by the
- 21:02Speaker 9: government would stop if Chuck Schumer and how King Jeffreys
- 21:06Speaker 9: and the Democrats have their way. The Democrats shutdown would
- 21:08Speaker 9: be damaging for the country. We can't allow for it.
- 21:11Speaker 1: So here we are on the verge of a major shutdown.
- 21:15Speaker 1: The White House Office of Management Director Vought saying, this
- 21:19Speaker 1: is something that the American be we need to understand,
- 21:22Speaker 1: is going to cost you a lot of money, all
- 21:24Speaker 1: because of the demands of the Democrats.
- 21:27Speaker 4: We want to keep this government open.
- 21:29Speaker 14: It is not good for the American people to have
- 21:31Speaker 14: the government shut down for any period of time. We
- 21:34Speaker 14: will manage it appropriately, but it is something that can
- 21:37Speaker 14: all be avoided. It can all be avoided by accepting
- 21:40Speaker 14: a reasonable position, which is what the House has passed
- 21:43Speaker 14: and what sits at the Senate desk, which is to
- 21:45Speaker 14: continue to fund the government with a short term continuing
- 21:48Speaker 14: resolution that it has never been put a viewpoint that
- 21:53Speaker 14: one and a half trillion dollars is a reasonable amount
- 21:56Speaker 14: of spending to be included on a short term cr
- 21:59Speaker 14: This hostage taking, it is not something that.
- 22:02Speaker 4: We are going to accept.
- 22:04Speaker 14: And we hope that the Democrats come back from the
- 22:06Speaker 14: brink fund this government and allow us to move forward.
- 22:09Speaker 14: Thank you.
- 22:10Speaker 7: We want to so here we are.
- 22:12Speaker 1: We are in a moment where the government is about
- 22:14Speaker 1: to be shut down, and a shutdown will happen for
- 22:17Speaker 1: one main reason because Chuck Schumer needs a stand up
- 22:21Speaker 1: to AOC and the radical left and show that he
- 22:24Speaker 1: can be just as extreme as they are. During the
- 22:29Speaker 1: Biden administration, there were thirteen threatened shutdowns. The Republicans in
- 22:36Speaker 1: the minority did the right thing. They kept the government open.
- 22:41Speaker 1: And what Chuck Schumer has been asked is this, they're
- 22:44Speaker 1: asking the Democrats to do the same. They're not willing
- 22:48Speaker 1: to do it all because of a one point five
- 22:53Speaker 1: trillion dollar hostage plan. Ransom, that is what this is.
- 23:00Speaker 1: And Chuck Schumer making it clear in thirteen seconds. We
- 23:04Speaker 1: have very large differences on healthcare, Yes we do. Democrats
- 23:10Speaker 1: want taxpayers to fund free health care for illegals and
- 23:14Speaker 1: Republicans do not so. Here we are and the National
- 23:18Speaker 1: Economic Council Kevin Hassett saying, since President Trump took office,
- 23:22Speaker 1: capital spending, equipment spending, which is the stuff that really
- 23:26Speaker 1: drives wage growth, is up seven percent. There's a massive
- 23:30Speaker 1: investment boom and that's why we're seeing GDP growth. And
- 23:35Speaker 1: Democrats hate that and they want to stifen the economy
- 23:38Speaker 1: as well, and they clearly believe this is another way
- 23:42Speaker 1: to do that. Don't forget share this podcast please with
- 23:45Speaker 1: your family and your friends wherever they are, and I
- 23:49Speaker 1: will see you back here tomorrow
