- 1:15Speaker 1: Welcome to Money Making Conversation Masterclass. Kimberly Kelly. How are
- 1:19Speaker 1: you doing, Kimberly, I'm doing phenomenal?
- 1:22Speaker 3: How are you doing?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Phenomenal? Using all them positive when you're coming out the box?
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yes, you gotta stay positive.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'm superwoman. I'm a superwoman. You're coming out of the boxes.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I'm super warm. Mon a phenomenal moment. I love it.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I love it that positivity. Is that what drives your success?
- 1:42Speaker 1: You being positive? Yes?
- 1:44Speaker 3: Yes, absolutely, that drives that gives keeps me with perseverance,
- 1:48Speaker 3: keep me over for no matter what difficult moments you know, happen.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Now, let's let's talk. Let's talk about you in difficult moments,
- 1:55Speaker 1: you know, because I think that that stops a lot
- 1:58Speaker 1: of people. You know, uh, because we all have valleys,
- 2:02Speaker 1: you know. You know, COVID knocked out a whole country
- 2:05Speaker 1: and created a difficult moment and forced us to live
- 2:09Speaker 1: from our home and also sent us into a mental spiral.
- 2:13Speaker 1: But difficult moments sometimes we can't control. So what is
- 2:17Speaker 1: a difficult moment that you can share with us.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I have, and that's a great question. I have a
- 2:25Speaker 3: pretty lot of difficult moments. But just even if I
- 2:29Speaker 3: start talking to just about my upbringing, being coming from
- 2:33Speaker 3: where I come from, South Florida and basically raising myself
- 2:37Speaker 3: on my own since I was about six or seven
- 2:39Speaker 3: years old, probably six or seven, and being brought up
- 2:43Speaker 3: in foster care, and even after that, being able to
- 2:49Speaker 3: live on my own at the age of fifteen and
- 2:51Speaker 3: have kids, and being able to push through even though
- 2:56Speaker 3: I was placed in foster care, even though I had
- 2:59Speaker 3: basically raised my brothers, and even though with those obstacles
- 3:04Speaker 3: by face, I put severe and it became those adversities
- 3:07Speaker 3: which kind of shaped me into being the resilian person
- 3:10Speaker 3: I am today. So I didn't let that be me
- 3:14Speaker 3: coming from that having a mother who was, you know,
- 3:16Speaker 3: innodating drugs and not really having a support system and
- 3:20Speaker 3: things of that nation having to figure out how to
- 3:23Speaker 3: raise myself. So even with that, I continued to move
- 3:26Speaker 3: forward because there was really no faith in it for
- 3:28Speaker 3: me at that point. So that was one of the
- 3:32Speaker 3: things that you know, kept me pushing forward and persevering
- 3:36Speaker 3: through the difficulty moments.
- 3:38Speaker 1: No, you you mentioned at a very young age. Well,
- 3:41Speaker 1: explain to everybody what exactly is Falster care.
- 3:45Speaker 3: So falter care is a place that they put you
- 3:48Speaker 3: in basically when you when the parent has either they
- 3:52Speaker 3: have it can be from abuse. My situation with my
- 3:56Speaker 3: mom was alcoholic and and drug abuse there and they
- 4:00Speaker 3: put you there. It's supposed to be a temporary placement,
- 4:02Speaker 3: but some of some kids get lost in the shuffle
- 4:05Speaker 3: and some of them stay until they either age out
- 4:08Speaker 3: or either family member decided they want to take them.
- 4:11Speaker 3: And our kids who stayed for some years, and one
- 4:13Speaker 3: of my aunts took us, but she didn't realize having
- 4:16Speaker 3: three kids because it was me and my two younger
- 4:19Speaker 3: brothers and we would play. We would in that place
- 4:21Speaker 3: with her out of foster care. So foster care is
- 4:24Speaker 3: a place that goes where kids are and went through
- 4:29Speaker 3: trump traumatic situations and they have nowhere to go. So
- 4:32Speaker 3: that's it's supposed to be a temporary placement, but sometimes
- 4:35Speaker 3: it becomes permanent.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It was really interesting that I'm trying to I'm trying
- 4:39Speaker 1: to get into your world, you know a young person, Okay,
- 4:42Speaker 1: you know, and was the faith play a role in
- 4:45Speaker 1: your life at that early age.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yeah, well I didn't have the faith, but I gained
- 4:51Speaker 3: it there while I was imposter care. I did gain
- 4:54Speaker 3: it there. They would take us to like little outings
- 4:58Speaker 3: and things in one of the places we were go
- 5:00Speaker 3: will be the church. And I had no idea of
- 5:02Speaker 3: that during that time, but I did learn it as
- 5:04Speaker 3: a young adolescent. During that time, I did learn how
- 5:08Speaker 3: to pray, and it just seems so it seemed so
- 5:12Speaker 3: natural like I had been. It was a part of
- 5:15Speaker 3: who I was in my essence because I remember times
- 5:18Speaker 3: where I'm like, okay, I just feel like I had
- 5:21Speaker 3: the presence of God with me during those difficult years
- 5:25Speaker 3: and growing up, because.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You got to have something to believe in you. You
- 5:29Speaker 1: got to have something to hold on to because your world,
- 5:32Speaker 1: I think, is just spinning out of control and you
- 5:34Speaker 1: are an age where you can control and that belief.
- 5:36Speaker 1: In your conversation early on, you said you had a
- 5:38Speaker 1: child at a young age.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Yes, I did. I ended up and it became like
- 5:44Speaker 3: you know, the basically kind of stereotypes difficult, that kind
- 5:47Speaker 3: of thing my mom had me young. I ended up
- 5:51Speaker 3: in foster care. Yeah, my brother's ended up in foster
- 5:54Speaker 3: care because we really didn't have any direction, no one
- 5:56Speaker 3: really raising us. And then I became a young mother
- 6:00Speaker 3: ass well at that time, even though I was waising
- 6:03Speaker 3: my brother's and because I didn't have anyone basically take
- 6:08Speaker 3: care of me, I got in with the wrong people,
- 6:12Speaker 3: not having any adult supervision and made some mad made
- 6:19Speaker 3: not for great choices at that time.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Right. You know the reason I'm just talking about this
- 6:24Speaker 1: because I wanted to. Because you're a very successful person today,
- 6:27Speaker 1: your business mogul. But I just wanted to lay out
- 6:30Speaker 1: because a lot of people don't know how did they
- 6:32Speaker 1: get that? You know, real story age ad and she
- 6:35Speaker 1: she's mobilizing out there, she's running business. But everybody's journey
- 6:39Speaker 1: to that path the way is not to say everybody's
- 6:41Speaker 1: journey is not through college. Everybody's journey is not PhD.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Everybody's journey is not two parents. But it always amazes
- 6:49Speaker 1: me when people like you. I grew up with my
- 6:53Speaker 1: parents stayed together my whole life, you know, and uh,
- 6:57Speaker 1: and that impacted me. You know, I said I had
- 7:00Speaker 1: the greatest parents, but I had parents who were there
- 7:03Speaker 1: to me, saw me through high school and saw me
- 7:05Speaker 1: through college, and it forced me to be a better person.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Because I had two people I can communicate with you
- 7:13Speaker 1: in foster care, you have two brothers that you're trying,
- 7:16Speaker 1: younger brothers. Then you become a young mom. At what
- 7:19Speaker 1: point in your life did you say enough, it's enough,
- 7:23Speaker 1: or you start saying you know some I got to
- 7:25Speaker 1: get my life together. I got to control the narrative.
- 7:30Speaker 3: So to be transparently honest with you, it wasn't even
- 7:34Speaker 3: an option for me. I always had that mindset because
- 7:37Speaker 3: I had been taking care of my brother since I
- 7:40Speaker 3: was so young. So, just to give you a clue,
- 7:42Speaker 3: when we got when we were taken into foster care,
- 7:46Speaker 3: I literally would not go inside the home of the
- 7:49Speaker 3: foster mother until because they had separated me and my
- 7:52Speaker 3: two brothers. I sat on the stud and just sat
- 7:56Speaker 3: there and begged them to please when my brother's with me,
- 7:59Speaker 3: and they put us all together to keep us together.
- 8:02Speaker 3: So it wasn't even a thought process of okay, it
- 8:07Speaker 3: had all. I just always had to be in like
- 8:11Speaker 3: that kind of survival mode, right, so whatever I had
- 8:14Speaker 3: to do, it was like I had to make sure
- 8:16Speaker 3: they was taken care of because there was nobody. Really
- 8:20Speaker 3: I couldn't look and say, okay, this person or these
- 8:23Speaker 3: people are going to make sure me and them are good.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Right, and you just ask you just just you know,
- 8:30Speaker 1: because I have a very strong person size wise, what
- 8:34Speaker 1: were you like you five two five three five four
- 8:37Speaker 1: when you were like, well, just Luilla live be the
- 8:39Speaker 1: person telling you I'm not going in this is me.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Where were you at physically being this demonstrative?
- 8:47Speaker 1: And I said demonstrative in a good way, demanding that
- 8:50Speaker 1: you have standards and you're not going to accept standards
- 8:54Speaker 1: that you feel is below below what you want, living
- 8:58Speaker 1: conditions you want for your for yourself. That's pretty admirable
- 9:03Speaker 1: for somebody young. Where did that come from?
- 9:07Speaker 4: So?
- 9:07Speaker 3: I think it just came from the in fact of
- 9:10Speaker 3: me taking care of them and knowing that like say,
- 9:13Speaker 3: for instance, if my mom would leave a home for
- 9:16Speaker 3: a couple of days, right, I just knew. I just
- 9:18Speaker 3: kind of automatically took that motherly role to them. So
- 9:22Speaker 3: it was just like they were even though they were
- 9:24Speaker 3: my brothers, I was like their big sister and I
- 9:28Speaker 3: was the protector. So when it came for when they
- 9:31Speaker 3: came and took me away from the school and then
- 9:33Speaker 3: I didn't have my brothers, it was like I was
- 9:35Speaker 3: just sitting there and I was it was like, where
- 9:37Speaker 3: are my brothers? Please find my getting me my brothers.
- 9:40Speaker 3: And it wasn't like a mean think. It was more
- 9:42Speaker 3: so like I was in distress, like I give, please
- 9:46Speaker 3: get my brothers. I was about nine or ten at
- 9:48Speaker 3: the time, so I probably I'm nine nine pounds my
- 9:54Speaker 3: five cause I'm five and eighty now, so I would
- 9:56Speaker 3: think I would be like five about five to five
- 9:58Speaker 3: at the time, so I know I was. And then
- 10:00Speaker 3: I found to say waiting that time. So and then
- 10:03Speaker 3: the thing and the blessing was I think God had
- 10:06Speaker 3: a path at that time because my foster mother, she
- 10:09Speaker 3: was she was kind enough, and she saw what I
- 10:13Speaker 3: was experiencing, and I was led to the right person
- 10:16Speaker 3: because she was able to facilitate that and make sure
- 10:19Speaker 3: me and my brother stayed together today. But she went
- 10:22Speaker 3: and called.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Them right and today you know your real estate broken
- 10:26Speaker 1: with six agents? Tell us about your company?
- 10:28Speaker 3: Yes, so I have a real estate brokers here in
- 10:31Speaker 3: the South Side and McDonough. I start off as a
- 10:35Speaker 3: relator and then I decided, hey, you know, I love
- 10:38Speaker 3: what I do because my goal is to educate, motivate
- 10:41Speaker 3: and basically teach people. You know that we can do this,
- 10:46Speaker 3: like we can own real estate, and there's so much
- 10:50Speaker 3: out here that we can do as far as entrepreneurs
- 10:52Speaker 3: or whatever it may be, whatever your desires and dreams are.
- 10:55Speaker 3: So at the third year point, I was like, Okay,
- 10:57Speaker 3: can't believe you're going to be a boker, you know.
- 11:00Speaker 3: And then as the market changes, we went into COVID.
- 11:03Speaker 3: So many things transpired during that time. So I'm always
- 11:06Speaker 3: in the mindset of Okay, you want to be be adaptable,
- 11:09Speaker 3: stay adaptable. And then I decided to open up my Bukerage,
- 11:13Speaker 3: and my Bukerage I have six agents right now, and
- 11:16Speaker 3: I am so excited about that because we're learning. We're
- 11:19Speaker 3: going together, and I'm learning as well along the with
- 11:23Speaker 3: with the path, going with my agents and as we grow,
- 11:27Speaker 3: it's a beautiful thing.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Now your own money making conversation master class now, so
- 11:31Speaker 1: we're about to go with the master class here with
- 11:34Speaker 1: laberl Ly Kelly. Okay, now you're broken now now now
- 11:38Speaker 1: you got agents under you. How does that model work?
- 11:42Speaker 1: How does that financial model work. I'm not trying to
- 11:44Speaker 1: ask for any money in today, but for you to
- 11:46Speaker 1: be because you could just do it by yourself. Now
- 11:49Speaker 1: you got agents, how are you convinced them to work
- 11:51Speaker 1: under you? How does that model work for your agency?
- 11:56Speaker 3: So the model for my agency is more so like
- 12:00Speaker 3: I am, how can I articulate this properly? I It's
- 12:07Speaker 3: usually by word of mouth, believe it or not, it's
- 12:10Speaker 3: usually by word of mouth. And the agents that come
- 12:13Speaker 3: to me are agents who really who want that kind
- 12:17Speaker 3: of that one on one I'm a smaller brokerage. I'm
- 12:20Speaker 3: not a big one yet, let's say yet, I like
- 12:24Speaker 3: that one on one person. I like that one on
- 12:26Speaker 3: one personal touch with my with my model with my
- 12:29Speaker 3: agents where I can sit down and I can talk
- 12:31Speaker 3: to them. I answer my phone every time. So as
- 12:34Speaker 3: I'm growing, I'm going with myself with the agents. So
- 12:37Speaker 3: the model is it's not a big corporate model, but
- 12:43Speaker 3: it's a model that works for a smaller brokers where
- 12:46Speaker 3: I can do that one on one training. I can
- 12:49Speaker 3: do that one on one marketing strategy. I can do
- 12:53Speaker 3: that one on one we can do we can continue
- 12:56Speaker 3: to visualize things, celebrate from all victories, and can continue
- 13:00Speaker 3: to educate ourselves and grow whatever in the real estate space.
- 13:06Speaker 3: That's really even with the trends.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Right right now, when I when I when I listen
- 13:12Speaker 1: to you, you know, it's about it's about relationships, okay,
- 13:16Speaker 1: it's about branding. It's by branding. Is there a price
- 13:20Speaker 1: range that your firm handles as far as houses do
- 13:24Speaker 1: we shine? We hound to houses from two fifty to
- 13:26Speaker 1: a half me we hound the houses from half men
- 13:28Speaker 1: in to me. Is there a price range in your agency?
- 13:33Speaker 3: Well, within my agency, when I started out my agency,
- 13:37Speaker 3: it was more so about my goal was to to
- 13:42Speaker 3: educate first time home by It's because coming from where
- 13:45Speaker 3: I come from, that is that was very important for
- 13:48Speaker 3: me because where I grew up with and you really
- 13:50Speaker 3: didn't see any homeowners. So that within myself that was
- 13:54Speaker 3: a passion. But now as i've I've grown, it is
- 13:59Speaker 3: like two fifty and above because of the changes within
- 14:01Speaker 3: the market, you really cannot find anything. And you know
- 14:05Speaker 3: that's one hundred thousand dollars price point, so like two
- 14:08Speaker 3: fifty three hundred and about up to millions and even
- 14:13Speaker 3: father than that now. But it's basically the main is
- 14:17Speaker 3: two fifty to about seven to fifty right.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Now, Okay, great, when we come back, we're gonna hear
- 14:21Speaker 1: more from the business mogul, and it's important to understand
- 14:24Speaker 1: her story because her story might be your story. But
- 14:27Speaker 1: what she didn't let is adversity, even at a young age,
- 14:30Speaker 1: stop up from being the successful business mogil she is. Now,
- 14:34Speaker 1: she's doing more than just real estate. We're gonna come
- 14:36Speaker 1: back in here a whole lot more that my friend.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I gonna call my friend now because she said, Weshine,
- 14:41Speaker 1: I'm not corporate yet. I'm hands on right now, but
- 14:44Speaker 1: I got big dreams. Because she's on Money Making Conversations
- 14:47Speaker 1: master less, she's not reading other people's success stories, she's
- 14:50Speaker 1: playing her own. Don't go nowhere, be right back for
- 14:53Speaker 1: more Kimberly Kelly.
- 15:00Speaker 4: We'll be right back with more money Making Conversations Masterclass
- 15:04Speaker 4: with Rashaan McDonald. Welcome back to the Money Making Conversations
- 15:14Speaker 4: Masterclass hosted by Rashaan McDonald. Money Making Conversations Masterclass continues
- 15:20Speaker 4: online at Moneymakingconversations dot com and follow money Making Conversations
- 15:25Speaker 4: Masterclass on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Well, welcome back to Money Making Conversations master Class year
- 15:31Speaker 1: listening to the host and the show Rashawn McDonald sharing
- 15:34Speaker 1: a story about Kimberley Kelly the reason I'm sharing that
- 15:38Speaker 1: story because when the interview was grown to me, you know,
- 15:41Speaker 1: she's successful, but that's not the story she wanted to tell.
- 15:45Speaker 1: She wanted to tell the part about overcoming difficult circumstances,
- 15:50Speaker 1: you know, going against the odds, being a single mom,
- 15:53Speaker 1: teen mom in still being successful, which means that a
- 15:57Speaker 1: lot of people need to hear that side of the
- 15:59Speaker 1: store because guess we're a lot of people dealing with
- 16:01Speaker 1: situations where they might consider catastrophic. And she said, living
- 16:06Speaker 1: in foster care. You know, her mom was on drugs.
- 16:09Speaker 1: That didn't stop her. You know, she wanted to maintain
- 16:13Speaker 1: her family, her two young brothers. That didn't stop her.
- 16:17Speaker 1: You know, getting a clear understanding that success was somewhere
- 16:21Speaker 1: out there for you, Kimberly, you just knew you just
- 16:24Speaker 1: had to figure out how to find it.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Correct, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely, Now.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Tell us about your son. Okay, you had them at
- 16:32Speaker 1: what you said? Fifteen, Yes, sir, fifteen, yep, I had him.
- 16:37Speaker 4: And.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Okay, you can continue, I'm sorry.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Yes, and then I ended up having another one. By
- 16:46Speaker 3: the time I was eighteen, I had two. Okay, so
- 16:50Speaker 3: here I am a mom, I'm eighteen and I was
- 16:54Speaker 3: eighteen basically there were two kids, and then I also
- 16:57Speaker 3: have my brothers, right, and.
- 17:00Speaker 1: How were they at that time?
- 17:03Speaker 3: So one is I want to say, about four years
- 17:08Speaker 3: younger than me, and then the other ones probably like
- 17:10Speaker 3: six years. So we're all we're all like teenagers, are
- 17:16Speaker 3: adolescents at this time.
- 17:17Speaker 1: That we're.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Yeah, we're two young kids. Yes, yes, absolutely, yes, so
- 17:24Speaker 3: we're all basically.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Living and so this way, the success sign is not
- 17:31Speaker 1: hanging over that door for.
- 17:32Speaker 3: You, and it is not. It is not at all
- 17:36Speaker 3: at that point. It's like, okay, but it never dawned
- 17:40Speaker 3: on me that it never dawned on me, or ever
- 17:43Speaker 3: was told, was never told, was never taught to me,
- 17:47Speaker 3: dawned on me that I wouldn't be successful? Does that
- 17:50Speaker 3: make sense? Because it was like I wasn't brought up
- 17:53Speaker 3: with the Okay, well you go to school, you get
- 17:56Speaker 3: a degree. I kind of just had to figure out
- 17:58Speaker 3: my own lane without what what would work for me
- 18:03Speaker 3: at that time, and.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Was emphasize with the audience here, now we got to
- 18:08Speaker 1: get forward, the forward motion. The engine, the train track
- 18:11Speaker 1: is starting to pick up steam. When did you start
- 18:13Speaker 1: getting on that track.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Kimberly, I actually it was like a situation where I
- 18:21Speaker 3: totally like looked around one day and I was just like,
- 18:25Speaker 3: I had my brother, my kids, and I probably worked
- 18:28Speaker 3: like nineteen at this time, and I'm still trying to
- 18:30Speaker 3: get my high school diploma. Even it just so much
- 18:34Speaker 3: was happening, and I was just like, no, I gotta,
- 18:36Speaker 3: I gotta, I gotta, I gotta get it together. And
- 18:39Speaker 3: at that time, we used to call them our shorties
- 18:41Speaker 3: or whatever. I gotta take care of my kids. And
- 18:44Speaker 3: I went back and got my high school diploma. I
- 18:49Speaker 3: just full fledged started going to these They had these
- 18:52Speaker 3: teenage workshops where you can go and learn how to
- 18:55Speaker 3: do interviews, how to write resumes, that the you know,
- 18:59Speaker 3: the govern they had offered, and I just threw myself
- 19:02Speaker 3: into that, started learning, learning learning. I knew that education
- 19:05Speaker 3: was going to be I kind of folked an outlet
- 19:07Speaker 3: for me at that time, and with that, I just
- 19:11Speaker 3: anything that I could learn. Because I was an avid reader.
- 19:15Speaker 3: I just learned and I just picked up books and
- 19:17Speaker 3: I just kind of carried it along with me. And
- 19:19Speaker 3: so then I was like, Okay, I'm going to college.
- 19:21Speaker 3: And then I went to school and I got my
- 19:23Speaker 3: degree in electronics engineering.
- 19:25Speaker 1: What college did you go to What college did you
- 19:27Speaker 1: go to?
- 19:28Speaker 3: Actually, I just went to I started going it's called
- 19:30Speaker 3: Barwock count of Communication, Barrock County College, and then I
- 19:34Speaker 3: came up to Atlanta and then I went to the
- 19:36Speaker 3: cam Tech and I got my technical degree in electronic engineering.
- 19:42Speaker 3: And after that I just kind of just just went
- 19:47Speaker 3: just full fledge for and just learning as much as
- 19:51Speaker 3: I can about the IT world because that's what it
- 19:55Speaker 3: was at that time.
- 19:57Speaker 1: And so it's really a thank you for sharing this
- 20:00Speaker 1: story so far, you know, because of the fact that
- 20:03Speaker 1: I always fact, you know, you got to figure out
- 20:06Speaker 1: your path. Everybody who's listening to this conversation or any
- 20:10Speaker 1: conversation you here on the show, it's your path. This
- 20:13Speaker 1: is a path that she is going about doing it.
- 20:15Speaker 1: You know my previous interview, you know she went to
- 20:17Speaker 1: Spelmen and went to University of Georgia. You know that's
- 20:21Speaker 1: not your story. But she also didn't have two kids
- 20:24Speaker 1: before the age of nineteen. She also wasn't in for
- 20:27Speaker 1: foster care. And not saying that's the path that she
- 20:32Speaker 1: went that nobody else can be successful. They are people
- 20:35Speaker 1: who have stories that may be even more dire than
- 20:38Speaker 1: Kimberly Kelly, but her story deserves a platform to be heard,
- 20:43Speaker 1: and that's what I'm allowing to happen because I don't
- 20:46Speaker 1: want excuses not out of hearing Kimberly's story. Ain't there right, Kimberly,
- 20:50Speaker 1: thank you very.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Much and absolutely absolutely you can do anything. You can
- 20:54Speaker 3: do anything. There is nothing that you can do in
- 20:58Speaker 3: this life. And you believe in yourself and you know
- 21:02Speaker 3: that as long as there's aaron opportunity and you wake
- 21:05Speaker 3: up in the morning, you can do it. You can
- 21:09Speaker 3: absolutely do it. Trust me, if I did it from
- 21:13Speaker 3: where I come from, I promise you if you just
- 21:15Speaker 3: believe in yourself, if you just look in front of you,
- 21:18Speaker 3: you put one foot get up in the morning, put
- 21:20Speaker 3: one foot in front of the other. And regardless of
- 21:23Speaker 3: irregardless of you may feel like the world is caven
- 21:26Speaker 3: in on you, and sometimes it is caven.
- 21:28Speaker 2: In on you.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Give yourself a break to breathe in praise you have
- 21:33Speaker 3: a spiritual sense. But practice resilient. If you have a
- 21:37Speaker 3: support system, seeks you know, a strong support network, and
- 21:42Speaker 3: even if you don't have that, go look in the
- 21:44Speaker 3: mirror and talk to yourself and say, hey, you know
- 21:46Speaker 3: what I can do? This I And then if you have,
- 21:50Speaker 3: especially if you have your children, just look in their
- 21:53Speaker 3: eyes and that should that that in it self is motivation.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Wow.
- 21:59Speaker 4: You know.
- 21:59Speaker 1: The one thing I really appreciate this conversation is that
- 22:02Speaker 1: you know, it's a journey. When you could have not
- 22:06Speaker 1: went and got your degree, you could have not went
- 22:09Speaker 1: to technical, you could have not pursued because even when
- 22:13Speaker 1: you know you got to get a license be a
- 22:14Speaker 1: real estate broker, you know you got to study, you know,
- 22:17Speaker 1: and they're not just passing it. I would have checked.
- 22:19Speaker 1: And then the fact that now you're a leader, you're
- 22:22Speaker 1: a leader of people, you know, which means that that's
- 22:24Speaker 1: even more important. But when you're in business, you have
- 22:28Speaker 1: people want to get in business with your partnership spouses.
- 22:32Speaker 1: How does that work? Or are you in business by
- 22:34Speaker 1: yourself or you in business with a partner or you're
- 22:37Speaker 1: just a solo entrepreneur.
- 22:40Speaker 3: I'm a business I with my spouse. I'm in business
- 22:42Speaker 3: with my husband. So we have a couple. We have
- 22:46Speaker 3: actually we have three businesses. I have the real estate side,
- 22:49Speaker 3: which is you know, the real estate brokerage. And we
- 22:52Speaker 3: have something called we have a business called K Kelly Ventures,
- 22:55Speaker 3: which is property preservations. So with all the things that
- 23:00Speaker 3: what happen within the market of I'm always on okay,
- 23:05Speaker 3: what how can I how can I say adoubtable? How
- 23:08Speaker 3: can I if any change coming? So I created the
- 23:13Speaker 3: Property Preservation Company and that is doing well and self
- 23:16Speaker 3: so and that basically is something where you just go
- 23:19Speaker 3: in and you work with gangs and asset manages, manage
- 23:23Speaker 3: management to provide services such as repair of inspectious maintenance
- 23:27Speaker 3: for bake and maintain a vacant properties. In the real
- 23:30Speaker 3: estate world.
- 23:31Speaker 1: You just some that's good. You just money making machine.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Just money making machine. That's out. You're on the right
- 23:37Speaker 1: show too to tell your story, Kimberly Kelly A right.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Really you know when I when I I'm so happy
- 23:42Speaker 1: that you're honest about your life because so many people
- 23:45Speaker 1: want to like tell a part of it that that
- 23:48Speaker 1: feels makes them feel good, but then they leave out
- 23:50Speaker 1: important information that don't help the average person understand it
- 23:53Speaker 1: can be them too, that they can make it too,
- 23:55Speaker 1: they can achieve success. So I want to thank you
- 23:58Speaker 1: from boy to my heart for coming oney, making conversation
- 24:00Speaker 1: and sharing your story, but also both sides the success
- 24:04Speaker 1: of being a single mom the success of being a
- 24:06Speaker 1: black woman who is being stereotyped, the success of being
- 24:10Speaker 1: a business owned, success of being married to a wonderful man,
- 24:14Speaker 1: success of being an entrepreneurial spirit with your husband. Continue
- 24:19Speaker 1: success in your life. Kimbri La Kelly, and thank you
- 24:22Speaker 1: for coming on Money Making Conversation master Class.
- 24:25Speaker 3: And thank you so much. I'm so honored that you
- 24:27Speaker 3: have me on your show. And thank you for all
- 24:29Speaker 3: that you do and pouring into people the way you're doing.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I appreciate it. Are you you boored in me? Now, Kimberly,
- 24:35Speaker 1: there's two ways now. Okay, you poured into me now
- 24:38Speaker 1: you inspired me. So when I feel bad when I'm
- 24:40Speaker 1: getting up at four thirty, I just got to thank
- 24:42Speaker 1: Kevi Kelly. Thank you, thank you my afraid for coming
