- 1:44Speaker 1: turn mouth, turn out, turn the way of the money up.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on, you'll think, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 6: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come on,
- 2:08Speaker 6: dig me now. One and only Steve Harley got a
- 2:11Speaker 6: radio show. I was had my head down and it
- 2:16Speaker 6: was thinking of what I wanted to say this morning.
- 2:19Speaker 2: But it kind of.
- 2:23Speaker 6: It's kind of be something I've lived for a long time,
- 2:28Speaker 6: and you know, for a long time, you know, I
- 2:31Speaker 6: had a lot of faith in people. You know, it's
- 2:34Speaker 6: strange too, because you know, you know, my mother was
- 2:37Speaker 6: a Sunday school teacher, so of course I grew up
- 2:40Speaker 6: around knowing, uh, scriptures and things like that, not not
- 2:45Speaker 6: a lot of them, but you know, the ones I retained.
- 2:48Speaker 6: But having her as a mother was was a huge
- 2:52Speaker 6: help and understand about faith. But even with that, as
- 2:55Speaker 6: I grew up, I began to put a lot of
- 2:58Speaker 6: faith in people, and you know, I figured, uh, you know,
- 3:03Speaker 6: just like everybody else, you know, man if I could
- 3:05Speaker 6: just meet this person, or if I could just sit
- 3:08Speaker 6: down with that person, or man if I could just
- 3:11Speaker 6: get this person to hear my ideal, or man if
- 3:14Speaker 6: just if this person could hear my track, or man
- 3:17Speaker 6: if I could just get this in the hands of
- 3:20Speaker 6: somebody in the know. I was, like everybody else, I
- 3:24Speaker 6: thought that way. You know, I actually thought that if
- 3:27Speaker 6: I could get in a certain situation with a certain person,
- 3:30Speaker 6: that if a certain person were to meet me, that
- 3:33Speaker 6: you know, it could change everything for me. Oh man,
- 3:38Speaker 6: Oh how wrong I was? Oh how wrong I was?
- 3:42Speaker 6: How long did I spend feeling that way? And how
- 3:45Speaker 6: many of you out there possibly have felt that way before?
- 3:49Speaker 6: You know, like even in a relationship, this is the
- 3:52Speaker 6: person for me, and you know, you just lay claim
- 3:54Speaker 6: to that, you know, not necessarily being a fact, but
- 3:57Speaker 6: you just lay claim to it. This is the person
- 4:00Speaker 6: for me, This is the person that I want to
- 4:02Speaker 6: spend the rest of my life with.
- 4:04Speaker 4: You know.
- 4:04Speaker 6: Sometimes you know, we just lay claim and stuff and
- 4:06Speaker 6: it's not always what's in our best interest or it's
- 4:09Speaker 6: not always a fact, it's just what we decided we
- 4:12Speaker 6: want it. And I was guilty of that, just like
- 4:15Speaker 6: anybody else. And I spent a lot of years in
- 4:18Speaker 6: my life putting faith in people. Man, if I could
- 4:21Speaker 6: tell you anything this morning, it's to stop putting your
- 4:25Speaker 6: faith in people and put your faith in God where
- 4:28Speaker 6: it counts the most. I mean, you can get something
- 4:31Speaker 6: out of this one. See, here's a deal about a
- 4:34Speaker 6: relationship with God. It's the same all the time. He
- 4:38Speaker 6: never changes. His word is one hundred percent absolute. His
- 4:42Speaker 6: word doesn't have loopholes in it, none of that.
- 4:45Speaker 2: It's this is what it is. He's very clear.
- 4:48Speaker 6: Now, you can deviate off your end at a bargain,
- 4:52Speaker 6: but it don't stop what he says from being true.
- 4:56Speaker 6: But if he asked you to do something, if God
- 4:59Speaker 6: asks you to to be a certain way, to do
- 5:01Speaker 6: a little something a certain way, and you don't do
- 5:03Speaker 6: it that way, then you know you could still possibly
- 5:07Speaker 6: get by for a while. But don't you understand that
- 5:11Speaker 6: his end of the deal stays the same, and as
- 5:14Speaker 6: long as you're not doing it the way you're supposed to,
- 5:16Speaker 6: the results are not going to be what you wanted
- 5:18Speaker 6: to be. And I did this for years and years
- 5:21Speaker 6: and years, and I counted on people. And you know,
- 5:25Speaker 6: I got myself in a lot of situations, and I
- 5:28Speaker 6: got out one a dire situation that I'd been in
- 5:31Speaker 6: for a number of years. But he had protected me
- 5:33Speaker 6: from years prior to that. I didn't even know what
- 5:35Speaker 6: was going on, and then he made it, made me
- 5:39Speaker 6: aware of the problem. And then, man, Lord have mercy,
- 5:43Speaker 6: I was in a dismal situation. And then at the
- 5:45Speaker 6: end of the year, I was free, free from it all.
- 5:49Speaker 6: But it was a decision that I had made that
- 5:52Speaker 6: led up to that, and in going through that process,
- 5:56Speaker 6: I had to learn something.
- 5:57Speaker 7: Man.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I learned a lot about people.
- 6:00Speaker 6: See, if you want to learn about your friends, if
- 6:03Speaker 6: you want to learn about your people people around you,
- 6:06Speaker 6: get yourself in some trouble, get yourself in a situation,
- 6:11Speaker 6: Oh man, you start looking around. Man, to feel get
- 6:14Speaker 6: real clear when you're in trouble. To feel clear is
- 6:17Speaker 6: out when you're in doubt, when you don't know what
- 6:20Speaker 6: to do, when you need help it, get real clear
- 6:23Speaker 6: on the play and field.
- 6:24Speaker 8: Then don't it.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Ah.
- 6:25Speaker 6: But when things is going right, it's time for a party.
- 6:28Speaker 6: We throwing a celebration. We we gonna We're gonna do
- 6:32Speaker 6: one down here. Oh man, there's plenty of people on
- 6:34Speaker 6: the field. But but but get yourself in a situation.
- 6:38Speaker 6: You find out rather quickly that oh no, oh no,
- 6:42Speaker 6: everybody ain't here. And that's when I started learning. And
- 6:46Speaker 6: I'm telling you I had to start learning this for
- 6:48Speaker 6: real until I finally got it to stop putting my
- 6:51Speaker 6: faith in people and put all the mind in God
- 6:54Speaker 6: where it counts the most. Now is that to say
- 6:57Speaker 6: that there are people that you can't trust. No, that's
- 6:59Speaker 6: not one I'm saying. I ain't say you can't trust it,
- 7:02Speaker 6: but you can't dump your faith in them. I got
- 7:05Speaker 6: it all riding on what he say. I got it
- 7:08Speaker 6: all riding on what she say. No, no, uh uh no,
- 7:15Speaker 6: I hear you saying it. But I'm gonna keep my
- 7:18Speaker 6: eye on this situation because I hear you saying it.
- 7:22Speaker 6: But I'm gonna take this faith of mine and instead
- 7:25Speaker 6: of putting it in people, I'm gonna put it in
- 7:27Speaker 6: God where it counts the most. Because his word is absolute.
- 7:31Speaker 6: What he say he's gonna do, he gonna do what
- 7:33Speaker 6: he say. He's not gonna tolerate, He's not gonna tolerate. Now,
- 7:36Speaker 6: you can make it, You can make it tolerable for yourself,
- 7:38Speaker 6: but He's not gonna tolerate it. And that's just the
- 7:41Speaker 6: end of the line. And so you know, I'm wondering
- 7:44Speaker 6: how many people out there find themselves in a situation
- 7:47Speaker 6: like me. Or maybe you've gotten yourself in a situation
- 7:50Speaker 6: because you put your faith in some people and now
- 7:52Speaker 6: you wound up in a different type of situation. Now,
- 7:55Speaker 6: let me ask you where the people at. The only
- 8:00Speaker 6: one that I found when I was in my deepest trouble,
- 8:04Speaker 6: when me and my wife were in our darkest situation,
- 8:07Speaker 6: was God. It was the only one, was the only
- 8:10Speaker 6: one who was just right there, right there, all the
- 8:14Speaker 6: way through. Now, let me explain something to you. Because
- 8:21Speaker 6: you have this relationship with God, it does not mean,
- 8:24Speaker 6: it does not mean now that it won't get it
- 8:27Speaker 6: won't still be a situation, you understand. But what He
- 8:32Speaker 6: will do is protect you during that period. He'll cover
- 8:37Speaker 6: you during that period that it is a situation. He
- 8:40Speaker 6: will give you the strength to overcome the situation when
- 8:44Speaker 6: it turns into a situation. Then when he cracks it
- 8:48Speaker 6: open for you and the sun is bright and shining,
- 8:51Speaker 6: what he don't want you to do is when it
- 8:52Speaker 6: gets sunny again, to forget about him who was there
- 8:56Speaker 6: when it was dark for you. See, I used to
- 8:59Speaker 6: do that too, you know. I was Oh, man, I
- 9:02Speaker 6: did it. I'm telling you right now, I did it.
- 9:04Speaker 6: But I'm telling you man, when I learned a very
- 9:07Speaker 6: serious lesson and I watched some people I thought were
- 9:11Speaker 6: friends of mine just sort of casually remove themselves from
- 9:17Speaker 6: the situation, then I said, okay. Me and Marjorie looked around.
- 9:21Speaker 6: We said, okay, it's just me, you and God. And
- 9:24Speaker 6: when we started conducting ourselves accordingly. So when it's sunny
- 9:29Speaker 6: for us, we remember God. We stay prayerful, we keep
- 9:33Speaker 6: talking to him. We thank him for the sunshine, we
- 9:36Speaker 6: thank him for the dark days that he allowed us
- 9:39Speaker 6: to do, who allowed us to survive it and turn
- 9:41Speaker 6: it into sunny days. And we talked to him constantly
- 9:44Speaker 6: to protect us of our future enemies. And that's what
- 9:47Speaker 6: the deal is. So if I was everybody, I would
- 9:50Speaker 6: stop putting your faith in people and put your trust
- 9:52Speaker 6: in God where it really does count the most, it
- 9:55Speaker 6: really really does.
- 9:57Speaker 9: You're listening.
- 9:59Speaker 6: Morning show, ladies and gentlemen, man, have your undivided attention.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Please thank you now put that down, now stop stop
- 10:10Speaker 2: all that.

- 17:31Speaker 4: You're gonna make me do something crazy to you. I
- 17:33Speaker 4: believe you called me with that type talking about my wife.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Will you and I got something in common? She's amazing?
- 17:38Speaker 4: Have you lost your damn mind? Sir? I didn't mean that.
- 17:41Speaker 4: I didn't think what you did you did, don't It

- 18:31Speaker 4: let me tell you one thing. Dot. She ain't coming

- 20:59Speaker 2: It is time.
- 21:00Speaker 9: I'm now for the CLO the Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. Yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 9: all right, So here we go. This one is from
- 21:08Speaker 9: Tanjula in Mississippi. Tanjula rights. I'm a thirty two year
- 21:12Speaker 9: old professional woman by day and at night I'm an escort.
- 21:17Speaker 9: I keep a low profile in my city and go
- 21:20Speaker 9: to the neighboring city for my escort business. I've been
- 21:23Speaker 9: dating a guy for almost three months, and he thinks
- 21:26Speaker 9: I'm a school teacher and model because I met him
- 21:29Speaker 9: at a casting call for models for a music video.
- 21:32Speaker 9: I need my side gig to pay off my student loans.
- 21:36Speaker 9: But I know this guy won't like it. Should I
- 21:38Speaker 9: be honest with him or keep the lie going?
- 21:41Speaker 8: All?
- 21:42Speaker 2: Wait a minute?
- 21:44Speaker 4: What? So?
- 21:45Speaker 2: She says she does what in a daytime?
- 21:48Speaker 9: She's a professional woman, she says, she didn't say specifically,
- 21:51Speaker 9: but night, So she's an escort?
- 21:54Speaker 10: Yeah, at night?
- 21:55Speaker 2: So what is the lie she's trying to.
- 21:58Speaker 9: Keep going scort that she's an escort. Wait a minute,
- 22:02Speaker 9: she's an escort to pay off her student loans.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Well, wait a minute, how did he meet her?
- 22:09Speaker 10: It says she met him, she's been dating him. She
- 22:14Speaker 10: he thinks he's a school teacher.
- 22:16Speaker 9: She thinks he's a school teacher and a model because
- 22:18Speaker 9: she met him at a casting call for models.
- 22:21Speaker 10: Oh okay video.
- 22:23Speaker 6: Oh okay, So he didn't call the escort service and meeting, no, sir,
- 22:28Speaker 6: Oh okay, he met her at the thing.
- 22:30Speaker 2: So he thinks, well, he doesn't know did junk didjello?
- 22:35Speaker 4: Man?
- 22:38Speaker 6: Oh wait, do her name sound familiar to you? Ain't
- 22:44Speaker 6: like her damn name was Denise, And.
- 22:46Speaker 10: I'm missing some advice talking bad.
- 22:50Speaker 6: Well, first of all, change your damn name. Yeah, everybody
- 22:55Speaker 6: don't know who you are at the escort service, all
- 22:59Speaker 6: down at the school board to a googler is very rare.
- 23:04Speaker 6: So look, look, hey, look, young sister. You can't be
- 23:10Speaker 6: so desperate to pay off your student loans that you
- 23:12Speaker 6: will do anything. Your reputation and your life forward after
- 23:17Speaker 6: this is far more important than the present. And always
- 23:20Speaker 6: understand that what you're doing the dog today gonna come
- 23:23Speaker 6: out in the light tomorrow and it may ruin an
- 23:26Speaker 6: opportunity with a career move or a man. So if
- 23:30Speaker 6: I were you, I would double think this escort service business.
- 23:33Speaker 6: It's paying off student loans, ain't that important? They got
- 23:36Speaker 6: all types of things available because of COVID. Now with
- 23:39Speaker 6: student loans, you need to go online and research some
- 23:42Speaker 6: of this stuff. They got programs and help you pay
- 23:44Speaker 6: off student loans. You ain't got to sell yourself to
- 23:46Speaker 6: pay off no damn loan. Think about your life moving forward.
- 23:49Speaker 6: You're thirty two. You're an attractive girl.
- 23:51Speaker 10: So you think you should she should be honest with him.
- 23:54Speaker 6: No, hell no, okay, No, your job is doing today.
- 24:02Speaker 6: You're a professional woman. That's your damn job. Do not
- 24:05Speaker 6: tell this man you and escort. Okay, just get out
- 24:09Speaker 6: to escort business. Just ain't the time for the truth. Well,
- 24:13Speaker 6: y'all get this phone that.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Gets up here. May now is truth? Y'all be trying to.
- 24:19Speaker 10: Tell too much honesty.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Nybody want to.
- 24:21Speaker 7: Hear that dude?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Dude be liking you.
- 24:24Speaker 6: Now, you're gonna tell him you a damn escort a
- 24:26Speaker 6: he gonna take your meet his mama.
- 24:28Speaker 9: Okay, all right, all right, So we're moving on Ginger

- 24:52Speaker 9: saw this girl and her boyfriend making out in the
- 24:55Speaker 9: car parked in front of our house. My husband is
- 24:59Speaker 9: the type to mind is business, but not if it's
- 25:02Speaker 9: in front of our house. Should we tell her parents

- 26:12Speaker 9: We all went to my aunt's house last month for
- 26:14Speaker 9: a cookout and my aunt was sitting on my stepdad's lap.
- 26:19Speaker 9: I noticed her suddenly grinding on his lap, and when
- 26:22Speaker 9: she realized I saw it, she jumped up. I told
- 26:25Speaker 9: my mom what happened, and she said, they like to
- 26:28Speaker 9: joke around like that. How can my mom be so blonde?
- 26:32Speaker 6: Cause your mama liked jokes? Oh, she said, they joking around.
- 26:40Speaker 6: Your mama probably laughing her asss off somewhere. Once again,
- 26:44Speaker 6: if this ain't your damn business, what is wrong with
- 26:49Speaker 6: these letters today? These grown ass people consisting adults. Your
- 26:57Speaker 6: aunt was, oh, her sister's her husband's laugh grinding, saw

- 34:08Speaker 6: And last but not least, we the l support the
- 34:12Speaker 6: me too movement that's real strong up here, and some
- 34:16Speaker 6: of the female als are requested that Santa refrain from
- 34:21Speaker 6: saying ho ho ho hope.
- 34:26Speaker 10: And on that note, we're gonna go go.

- 38:08Speaker 9: and a suggestive attempt to change my mind on the
- 38:11Speaker 9: parking lot rendezvous she was proposing.
- 38:14Speaker 10: Fast forward to now.
- 38:16Speaker 9: I just got a nice job at a new tech
- 38:18Speaker 9: company and things have been promising until I walked into
- 38:23Speaker 9: my new boss's office for a get to know you
- 38:26Speaker 9: session and saw the pictures on his desk. That fine
- 38:31Speaker 9: woman is his wife. He's now telling me how fun
- 38:34Speaker 9: his Christmas party always is and that I have to
- 38:38Speaker 9: be there. But I'm thinking that that's the last place
- 38:40Speaker 9: I want to be. Nothing happened, and I can sure
- 38:43Speaker 9: keep a secret, but this is awkward.
- 38:46Speaker 10: Uncle, see any suggestions?
- 38:49Speaker 2: Well, he then said, you got to be at the party.
- 38:51Speaker 2: You gotta go.
- 38:53Speaker 6: See listen to me, man, you don't know this information. Well,
- 38:59Speaker 6: let me put the cheetah way. Your boss doesn't know
- 39:02Speaker 6: that you have this information, so you're just going over
- 39:06Speaker 6: to his Christmas party as requested.
- 39:09Speaker 2: So when you get there, just be as surprised as
- 39:11Speaker 2: she is. Should he do?
- 39:15Speaker 10: Say it's deep, like, what when are you.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Going to walk in and go? Harold's glad you could
- 39:20Speaker 2: make it to the party. This is my wife. Uh,
- 39:24Speaker 2: what's a good name, Tamika? This is this is Harold Man.
- 39:31Speaker 6: Wow, nice to meet you, to mikad and she goes
- 39:36Speaker 6: downplay it too because she ain't trying to mess her
- 39:38Speaker 6: life up. Hear what you cannot do, Harold, This is
- 39:43Speaker 6: my wife, Tamika.
- 39:45Speaker 4: I fought you. We you doing?
- 40:01Speaker 2: You know I you know, I don't even know. That
- 40:04Speaker 2: ain't even my normal drink. You know what I'm saying.
- 40:07Speaker 6: Man, your boss standing there looking you can go over
- 40:11Speaker 6: to the party. You don't You didn't go in the office.
- 40:14Speaker 6: You didn't see her picture. You don't know she exists,
- 40:17Speaker 6: and in your world she doesn't exist. Don't not go
- 40:20Speaker 6: to the Christmas party because he said you have to come.
- 40:23Speaker 6: If you don't come, that'll look crazy. Just go to
- 40:26Speaker 6: the party, man, act normal, trust and believe. She ain't
- 40:29Speaker 6: gonna let on nothing.
- 40:31Speaker 10: She ain't gonna ask you well, no, she.
- 40:34Speaker 6: Gonna be Oh look women, women slick as hell. Y'all ways,
- 40:37Speaker 6: slicker than men. She gonna act like she ain't never
- 40:39Speaker 6: seen you a day in her life. But now, let
- 40:41Speaker 6: me explain something to you. Don't get crispy player? Or
- 40:45Speaker 6: does that mean that don't like you know? Take her number,
- 40:52Speaker 6: say something to on the side, ease over to her
- 40:54Speaker 6: with the drink.

- 40:58Speaker 2: So you so you here?
- 41:01Speaker 6: No, No, don't get crispy. Stay like a wet corn flake.

- 41:09Speaker 6: Do don't go over the acting crispy. Yeah, don't go
- 41:13Speaker 6: over acting crispy like you just they frosted flakes. Set
- 41:17Speaker 6: your ass you just a regular corn flake would tap
- 41:19Speaker 6: wad on it.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Go over there.
- 41:22Speaker 6: Don't nobody want you? Sit over there like a wet
- 41:25Speaker 6: corn flake. All in here like you Captain crunch. Yeah,
- 41:31Speaker 6: what what does she say? Let me let me let
- 41:34Speaker 6: me talk to you in the in the in the study.
- 41:36Speaker 8: What she said?
- 41:37Speaker 6: No, we ain't going to no damn study. He just
- 41:41Speaker 6: got this good ass job. You gonna end it that night,
- 41:43Speaker 6: go on, no damn study. No, I can't do that.
- 41:46Speaker 6: I'm sorry, No disrespect I don't want to be disrespectful.

- 42:01Speaker 6: j it's going to Steve.

- 42:07Speaker 6: Matter of fact, when you say good night to your boss,
- 42:09Speaker 6: put that wind in your jaws. On you put that
- 42:18Speaker 6: wind in your jaws.
- 42:19Speaker 2: That's that. I'm the vomited ass win right, everybody rule
- 42:25Speaker 2: BRD not tonight.
- 42:26Speaker 9: Ho Lord Hill, Jesus, we have more of the Steve
- 42:29Speaker 9: Harvey Morning shows. You're listening. Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 42:34Speaker 9: up at the top of the hour right about four
- 42:36Speaker 9: minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today. The subject
- 42:40Speaker 9: he picked the wrong sister.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Wait till you hear that.
- 42:44Speaker 9: We'll get into it in just a bit. But right
- 42:46Speaker 9: now the nephew is here with today's prank phone call.
- 42:49Speaker 9: What you got for us, neph y'all hold.
- 42:51Speaker 8: Tight here come.
- 42:54Speaker 4: Hello.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Hello, I'm trying to reach your sand Hey, how you doing.
- 42:59Speaker 7: I'm fine.
- 43:00Speaker 5: This This is Brian. This is Brian. I work with
- 43:02Speaker 5: your sister Kiva. Okay, we've met a couple of times.
- 43:07Speaker 5: You've you've come out to happy hour with us a
- 43:09Speaker 5: couple of times, but that's been you just had a baby.
- 43:11Speaker 7: Right, Oh yeah, so that must have been a long
- 43:14Speaker 7: time ago. I sure did just have a baby.
- 43:17Speaker 3: She said.
- 43:17Speaker 7: This is Brian.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Brian, congratulations. How many months is it that it's been.
- 43:22Speaker 7: Three months since I've had him?
- 43:24Speaker 8: Okay, all right, well congratulations to you.
- 43:26Speaker 5: Listen, we're putting together a pot luck Christmas party and
- 43:31Speaker 5: we wanted to invite you out.
- 43:33Speaker 7: Oh okay, is this some kind of surprise or something?
- 43:37Speaker 5: Well, you know what, I'm My job is to call
- 43:40Speaker 5: around since it's a potluck and make sure we get
- 43:43Speaker 5: everybody to bring something. What I wanted to do is
- 43:46Speaker 5: I told her she should invite you her sister. I'm
- 43:48Speaker 5: sure your sister. I was just saying you probably hadn't
- 43:50Speaker 5: been able to get out since the baby, and maybe
- 43:53Speaker 5: you would want to get.
- 43:53Speaker 8: Out a little bit.
- 43:54Speaker 7: Yeah you said that. I've been trapped in this house
- 43:57Speaker 7: with his baby. Oh and oh, you're such a greedy baby.
- 44:00Speaker 7: But yeah, I'm here a lot. This is like my
- 44:03Speaker 7: second child, and I'm telling you he was nothing like
- 44:06Speaker 7: the first one. But I haven't been out. When is
- 44:08Speaker 7: the party?
- 44:09Speaker 5: It's gonna be next week, next Friday. We're gonna throw
- 44:12Speaker 5: it and we're not trying to do anything too late,
- 44:14Speaker 5: probably around six o'clock. Everybody's gonna leave work a little early,
- 44:17Speaker 5: but we're gonna all bring a little something to contribute
- 44:20Speaker 5: to the party, you know, whatever type of food or
- 44:22Speaker 5: drinks or whatever. So we just wanted to reach out
- 44:25Speaker 5: and give you an invitation.
- 44:27Speaker 7: I just need to see if I can get a babysitter.
- 44:30Speaker 7: I haven't had to use a babysitter yet, but I'll try.
- 44:33Speaker 7: I'll do my best for me. It's my sister and
- 44:35Speaker 7: her friend, so i'd be glad to come. So you
- 44:38Speaker 7: said it's pop luck. What are y'all bringing?
- 44:41Speaker 5: Well, some people are bringing finger food, some people are
- 44:44Speaker 5: bringing desserts, nachos and things like that. So I guess
- 44:48Speaker 5: a little bit of everything, and everybody's just in the
- 44:51Speaker 5: Christmas spirit.
- 44:51Speaker 8: We just gonna have a good time.
- 44:53Speaker 7: Well do I need to cook it myself? Or can
- 44:55Speaker 7: I just order something to have it delivered or something
- 44:57Speaker 7: like that. You know, I'm fooling with this baby get
- 45:00Speaker 7: too much done while I'm here, But I'd be glad
- 45:02Speaker 7: to contribute.
- 45:03Speaker 8: Uh well, actually we're we're interested in getting some eggnog.
- 45:06Speaker 7: Uh yeah, I can. Probably I could send my husband
- 45:10Speaker 7: out to get some because you know, NaN's just schooled
- 45:12Speaker 7: his specialty shop. They make some good homemade ignog. I
- 45:16Speaker 7: could do eggnogs.
- 45:17Speaker 5: Well, well, hang on, we didn't. We didn't want anything
- 45:19Speaker 5: from a specialty shop. We're real particular about having good eggnog.
- 45:24Speaker 5: We've always had good eggnog every year when we throw
- 45:27Speaker 5: the big pot luck Christmas party. We wanted to see
- 45:29Speaker 5: if you didn't mind making some eggnog from scratch. But
- 45:33Speaker 5: you know, if you if you could really really help
- 45:35Speaker 5: us out. Uh, you know you using using the breast.
- 45:38Speaker 8: Milk to do it.
- 45:39Speaker 7: Well, they make the best milk over there. I know
- 45:42Speaker 7: they used whole milk. Sometimes they use that butter cream milk.
- 45:45Speaker 7: You know what I should get my aunt to make
- 45:47Speaker 7: because she got a real good recipe and I know
- 45:49Speaker 7: she used the best milk as I can get.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Her to make some.
- 45:52Speaker 7: Is that okay?
- 45:53Speaker 8: Okay, So your mom has what kind of milk?
- 45:56Speaker 7: My ate, she makes the best eggnog. And I know
- 46:00Speaker 7: you like whole milk and buttermilk and stuff. That's what
- 46:02Speaker 7: I was thinking.
- 46:04Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, no no no, we want some
- 46:07Speaker 5: breast milk, not the best milk. We want breast aren't
- 46:11Speaker 5: you breastfeeding?
- 46:13Speaker 7: You you say breast as in b R E A
- 46:16Speaker 7: S T.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Breast milk, breast milk.
- 46:18Speaker 7: Yes, yes, wait a minute, wait a minute, yeah, I'm breastfeeding.
- 46:22Speaker 7: But breast milk is for babies. Adult people don't supposed
- 46:25Speaker 7: to drink that. If you if you're not no infant,
- 46:26Speaker 7: you're not supposed.
- 46:27Speaker 2: To be milk.
- 46:28Speaker 5: Breast milk is the best milk. See, so what we
- 46:30Speaker 5: was trying to do is get it. Get the eggnog
- 46:33Speaker 5: made with breast milk, and that's what we want.
- 46:35Speaker 7: Brian, you say your name is Brian.
- 46:37Speaker 8: Yes, I'm Brian.
- 46:38Speaker 7: Okay, Brian, you must be white because because black folks
- 46:42Speaker 7: don't drink breast milk. That's for babies. Okay, I am
- 46:46Speaker 7: not making eggnog with breast milk. Now, Breast milk is
- 46:51Speaker 7: not what you get. That is for my newborn infants.
- 46:54Speaker 7: That sounds nasty, Unstan, Why would I do that to
- 46:58Speaker 7: other people?
- 46:59Speaker 4: That as my to do?
- 47:00Speaker 2: I mean, is there a way you can like pump
- 47:02Speaker 2: out two gallons for us?
- 47:03Speaker 7: I mean, what we're about to end this conversation. That
- 47:06Speaker 7: is not something I'm about to do. Okay, I am
- 47:09Speaker 7: not pumping milk for some Christmas party. That that is nasty. Okay,
- 47:17Speaker 7: somebody gonna call the health's apartment on y'all bring them
- 47:20Speaker 7: milk up there to make some eggnog? What does that?
- 47:24Speaker 7: We don't do that. This ain't no feet of village
- 47:27Speaker 7: with my milk, you know what, ma'am?
- 47:30Speaker 8: I mean.
- 47:30Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 47:31Speaker 5: I wasn't trying to offend you. I just wanted to
- 47:32Speaker 5: see if it was something that you would do for us.
- 47:35Speaker 5: You know, maybe you could. You could squeeze out a
- 47:37Speaker 5: couple of gallons and we could.
- 47:39Speaker 7: I'm past offended. I ain't squeezing out a table spool
- 47:43Speaker 7: of breast milk to be donating to some Christmas party?
- 47:47Speaker 7: Does that?
- 47:48Speaker 2: Okay? Yeah?
- 47:49Speaker 7: You got me something you need to tell Keith. First
- 47:51Speaker 7: of all, I don't even know why ever gave you
- 47:53Speaker 7: my number to invite me to some cause she couldn't have.
- 47:55Speaker 7: She couldn't have known you're gonna ask me to make
- 47:57Speaker 7: some damn egnog with real breast mills.
- 48:00Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 48:00Speaker 8: I didn't.
- 48:00Speaker 5: I didn't tell Keiva exactly what I wanted, but I
- 48:02Speaker 5: didn't think it was gonna be this much of a problem.
- 48:05Speaker 5: That you would have a problem with a couple of
- 48:06Speaker 5: gallons so we could have a good time with real
- 48:08Speaker 5: good milk.
- 48:09Speaker 7: Well, Brian, y'all work in corporate America. Surely you are
- 48:13Speaker 7: smarter than that calling somebody asking for some breast milk?
- 48:17Speaker 7: Who does that?
- 48:18Speaker 4: What you can do?
- 48:19Speaker 7: If you want some eggnock, you could stop at the
- 48:21Speaker 7: grocery store and get you some infamel or some similar
- 48:23Speaker 7: can mix me agnog yourself, if that's what you choose
- 48:27Speaker 7: to do. But my breast milk, you can't even pay
- 48:29Speaker 7: for it. Okay, I don't get down like that. That's
- 48:31Speaker 7: a if I ever heard of it? You too, in
- 48:34Speaker 7: tells you be calling around asking people for milk?
- 48:37Speaker 5: Does oh you're gonna be this selfish that you can't
- 48:40Speaker 5: loan us a little bit of breast milk so we
- 48:42Speaker 5: can have a great time with some eggnog at the party.
- 48:46Speaker 7: Selfish, loan breast milk?
- 48:50Speaker 5: Okay, you know what? You know what concerned, don't worry about.
- 48:51Speaker 5: We don't even want you at the party. If you
- 48:53Speaker 5: ain't gonna bring the breast milk, then don't come to
- 48:54Speaker 5: the party.
- 48:55Speaker 7: Damn right, I don't need to come here on a
- 48:56Speaker 7: sunky party. And you tell Keiva this is some Steven
- 49:00Speaker 7: have her friend call me.
- 49:01Speaker 5: I am the party coordinator, and Keiva knows that that's
- 49:04Speaker 5: and I tried to be nice enough to invite you.
- 49:06Speaker 7: I'm offended. I am offended. Okay, would you ask your
- 49:10Speaker 7: wife or your girlfriend or whoever your baby mam is
- 49:12Speaker 7: to do something like that? Would you expect somebody to
- 49:15Speaker 7: ask her? You're just respecting me asking me for some
- 49:18Speaker 7: like that. Okay, you know what, Brian, what is your
- 49:21Speaker 7: last name? Because I'm failing to remember who you are
- 49:23Speaker 7: because I'm sure gonna ask keep.
- 49:25Speaker 5: Well, Brian, Brian ain't really my name. I didn't really
- 49:27Speaker 5: want to tell you my real name.
- 49:29Speaker 7: So so you playing on the phone. Naw, you probably
- 49:31Speaker 7: don't even know my sister. Who is this?
- 49:33Speaker 8: I mean, I talk to your sister about twenty minutes ago.
- 49:37Speaker 8: I talked to Keith.
- 49:37Speaker 7: You cain't talk to my Kieva because this is.
- 49:39Speaker 4: A I know that too clearly, Okay, but I want
- 49:42Speaker 4: to go and tell.
- 49:43Speaker 2: You this here.
- 49:43Speaker 7: You know what You're gonna get off my damn phone.
- 49:45Speaker 7: That's what you're gonna do.
- 49:46Speaker 5: Keeva told me to call because see, I am nephew
- 49:49Speaker 5: Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show, and your sister
- 49:52Speaker 5: Cable got me the prank phone call.

- 51:18Speaker 10: one right here, right now.
- 51:20Speaker 1: It could be yours.
- 51:20Speaker 8: You never know, it could be Buckle up and hold
- 51:23Speaker 8: on tight. We guide it for you.
- 51:24Speaker 4: Here.
- 51:25Speaker 8: It is the Strawberry Letter.
- 51:27Speaker 10: Thank you, nephew.
- 51:28Speaker 9: Subject he picked the wrong sister, Dear Stephen Shirley. About
- 51:32Speaker 9: two years ago, I messed around with my sister's husband.
- 51:36Speaker 9: After a drunken night out. I made him swear that
- 51:39Speaker 9: nothing would ever happen between us again.
- 51:42Speaker 10: We managed to stay.
- 51:43Speaker 9: Away from each other, but he would text me often,
- 51:46Speaker 9: begging for just one more night with me. He would
- 51:50Speaker 9: tell me how sexy I am, and I'm the best
- 51:52Speaker 9: he's ever had, and he's with the wrong sister and
- 51:56Speaker 9: all of that. I also enjoyed that night very much
- 51:59Speaker 9: and have not been able to get him off my
- 52:01Speaker 9: mind either. He has beautiful dark skin and hazel eyes,
- 52:06Speaker 9: and is very gifted with his tongue. Whenever I was
- 52:09Speaker 9: at my sister's house, I would look at him and
- 52:12Speaker 9: replay that night over and over in my head, then
- 52:16Speaker 9: go home and take care of business by myself while
- 52:20Speaker 9: fantasizing about him. In April, we all went out and
- 52:25Speaker 9: celebrated my sister's birthday, and the whole night he undressed
- 52:30Speaker 9: me with his eyes. He called me the next day
- 52:33Speaker 9: and we both agreed that we couldn't take it anymore.
- 52:37Speaker 9: He got us a hotel room and we made love
- 52:40Speaker 9: over and over again. It was all that I have remembered,
- 52:45Speaker 9: plus some. We talked about how it feels so right
- 52:49Speaker 9: with us, and then he gave me some should have
- 52:52Speaker 9: could have would haves, like if he'd met me first,
- 52:55Speaker 9: we'd be together. I don't feel guilty about sleeping with him,
- 52:59Speaker 9: but I know I'm a terrible human being. Whenever he
- 53:03Speaker 9: leaves me, I get sad and I long to have
- 53:05Speaker 9: a man just like him. He said he loves me
- 53:09Speaker 9: and wants me in his life. But it's complicated. I
- 53:12Speaker 9: know that if my sister ever found out, our relationship
- 53:15Speaker 9: is over for life.
- 53:17Speaker 10: I know things like this happen in movies, but this
- 53:20Speaker 10: is my real life.
- 53:21Speaker 9: Should I tell him we should go for it and
- 53:23Speaker 9: see what happens, or do I deal with the heartbreak
- 53:27Speaker 9: and let my sister have her husband back? All why
- 53:31Speaker 9: don't you be so generous? Isn't that sweet of you
- 53:34Speaker 9: and just let your sister have her husband back.
- 53:36Speaker 7: What.
- 53:37Speaker 9: Let me just say, first off, I'm just glad you're
- 53:40Speaker 9: not my sister, okay, And I really hate this letter
- 53:44Speaker 9: because what do you want?
- 53:46Speaker 10: What do you want? You have all the answers right here,
- 53:49Speaker 10: you know right from wrong. You know you know what
- 53:52Speaker 10: you're doing. You're not gonna stop seeing him.
- 53:56Speaker 1: This is all like a game to you.
- 53:58Speaker 9: Really, you know what you're doing, you know who you're
- 54:01Speaker 9: doing it with, and of course you know this is
- 54:03Speaker 9: going to break your sister's heart if she found out.
- 54:06Speaker 9: So what do you really want? I don't understand you ask, uh,
- 54:11Speaker 9: should you tell him that you guys should go for
- 54:14Speaker 9: it and see what happens, or do you deal with
- 54:16Speaker 9: the heartbreak and let your sister have her husband back?
- 54:19Speaker 4: What?
- 54:20Speaker 10: That's really what you're thinking about right now?
- 54:23Speaker 9: I just you know, I just think this letter is
- 54:25Speaker 9: just so wrong because you know everything you said.
- 54:28Speaker 10: You're a terrible human being for doing this.
- 54:30Speaker 9: You're right, I mean, you have no remorse about this.
- 54:34Speaker 9: You even said you don't feel guilty about this, but
- 54:37Speaker 9: you should feel guilty. This is your sister, your blood,
- 54:41Speaker 9: and it sounds like she's your only sister. You're just
- 54:45Speaker 9: sleeping with her husband because it's fun to you. I
- 54:47Speaker 9: mean this affair, and I hesitate to call it that.
- 54:50Speaker 9: This is just some mess that you're in. It's going
- 54:54Speaker 9: to stop when you say stop when you say so,
- 54:57Speaker 9: because why would he stop when he's getting too sis
- 55:00Speaker 9: for the price of one thanks to you.
- 55:02Speaker 10: I mean, he's got the best of both worlds.
- 55:04Speaker 1: He is the man right now.
- 55:06Speaker 9: I mean you must like getting used or played or something,
- 55:10Speaker 9: because that's what is going on. Please stop, just please
- 55:14Speaker 9: stop this. That's my only appeal to you, because you
- 55:18Speaker 9: have all the answers. You know what's going on, you.
- 55:21Speaker 10: Know before your sister finds out.
- 55:23Speaker 9: And one more thing, I'll say it again, I'm glad
- 55:26Speaker 9: you're not my sister.
- 55:28Speaker 10: Steve.
- 55:29Speaker 6: Okay, how much time I got right here? So I'm
- 55:32Speaker 6: just gonna determine how much I do. So let's say
- 55:36Speaker 6: I got a couple minutes, so let me just go
- 55:38Speaker 6: and tell you a little bit.
- 55:39Speaker 8: Then.
- 55:40Speaker 2: First of all, he picked the wrong system.
- 55:43Speaker 6: Two years ago, you messed around with your sister's husband
- 55:46Speaker 6: on a drunken night. I made him sweat at nothing
- 55:50Speaker 6: whatever happened between us again, and we managed to stay
- 55:52Speaker 6: away from each other. But he would text you often,
- 55:54Speaker 6: Big and for just one more night with me. He
- 55:56Speaker 6: would tell me how sex I am, and I'm the
- 55:58Speaker 6: best he's ever had, and he's with the wrong system.
- 56:02Speaker 6: Well he's right about that. You was the wrong system.
- 56:06Speaker 6: He got that right and all of that. I enjoyed
- 56:09Speaker 6: that night very much and have not been able to
- 56:11Speaker 6: get him off my mind. He's beautiful, dark skin and
- 56:15Speaker 6: hazel eyes. Okay, that looks scary to me.
- 56:19Speaker 2: I'm thinking candy mind. I'm thinking candy man, real dog
- 56:23Speaker 2: skin with hazn colored out.
- 56:24Speaker 6: I'm real scared with you. That sounded like colored contacts
- 56:27Speaker 6: to me. I'm not really sure what's going on, but
- 56:31Speaker 6: I love dark skinned women with dark eyes dog skin.
- 56:34Speaker 2: When I see a dog one with real light eyes,
- 56:36Speaker 2: I go color contact candy Man.
- 56:38Speaker 6: I'm scared. And he's very gifted with his tongue. Okay,
- 56:46Speaker 6: so I'm just so assuming you saying he could talk
- 56:49Speaker 6: real good. Huh, That's what I'm gonna go with. I'm
- 56:52Speaker 6: gonna just go with that. Whenever I was at his
- 56:56Speaker 6: sister's house, I would look at him and replay that
- 56:58Speaker 6: night over and over my head. Didn't go home and
- 56:59Speaker 6: take busits myself after fantasize it in April, we all
- 57:03Speaker 6: went out. We celebrated my sister's birthday. The whole night
- 57:06Speaker 6: he undressed me with his eye. He called me the
- 57:08Speaker 6: next day and we both agreed we couldn't take it anymore.
- 57:14Speaker 2: That's all they took us. We both agreed that we
- 57:17Speaker 2: couldn't take it no more.
- 57:19Speaker 6: Got us a hotel room. We made love over and
- 57:21Speaker 6: over again. It was everything I remember, plus some. We
- 57:25Speaker 6: talked about how it feels so right with us, and
- 57:27Speaker 6: then he gave me some shouldar cut of woodows and
- 57:31Speaker 6: all this. Should have could have woodoves. He ain't say
- 57:33Speaker 6: nothing about what he was gonna do. She should have
- 57:36Speaker 6: would have culd him, it needs just what I'm finna do.
- 57:41Speaker 6: I had the rest. Everyone to come back.
- 57:43Speaker 9: All right, we'll have part two of Steve's response at
- 57:45Speaker 9: twenty three minutes after the hour of today Strawberry letter,
- 57:48Speaker 9: subject he picked the wrong sister.
- 57:50Speaker 10: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 57:53Speaker 9: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Come on, Steve,
- 57:57Speaker 9: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. This subject he picked the
- 58:00Speaker 9: wrong sister.
- 58:02Speaker 6: Ah, his sister right here slept with her sister's man
- 58:05Speaker 6: two years ago. They always always something they were drunk,
- 58:10Speaker 6: and then you know, he would always text saying one
- 58:14Speaker 6: more night, then he tell you how sex you were.
- 58:17Speaker 6: He was with the wrong sister. Then she said it
- 58:20Speaker 6: is beautiful dog skin and hazel lies. That right there
- 58:24Speaker 6: threw me a little bit because that's a very rare accommodation.
- 58:29Speaker 10: I like the candy Man reference.
- 58:30Speaker 6: I'm thinking contact Liz and Candy Man. So I'm a
- 58:35Speaker 6: little scared, right, who is it? I'm thinking, No, I'm
- 58:42Speaker 6: thinking voodoo, some role spooky. I'm scared a little bit.
- 58:49Speaker 6: Dog skinned, hazelies. Well where that comes from anyway? And
- 58:55Speaker 6: he's gifted with his tongue, okay, whatever. I would look
- 58:59Speaker 6: at him and replace night over and over my head,
- 59:01Speaker 6: then go home and take care of bus with myself fantasize.
- 59:03Speaker 6: In April, we went out celebrating missus birthday. The whole
- 59:06Speaker 6: night he addressed me with his eye. Called me the
- 59:08Speaker 6: next day and we both agreed we couldn't take it
- 59:10Speaker 6: no more. We got a hotel room, made love over
- 59:13Speaker 6: and over again. It was all that I remembered, plus some,
- 59:16Speaker 6: and we talked about how this feels so right with us,
- 59:19Speaker 6: and then he gave me some should have could have
- 59:23Speaker 6: would us man, if i'd have seen you first out,
- 59:28Speaker 6: if I had only waited and got a chance to
- 59:30Speaker 6: mate you, I should have.
- 59:32Speaker 2: I should have just held off after we met you
- 59:34Speaker 2: and seen where this will go. None of this is
- 59:37Speaker 2: a plan.
- 59:39Speaker 6: All this is lies is to keep making you feel good,
- 59:42Speaker 6: because he know that's what women like to hear.
- 59:44Speaker 2: If he met me first, we'd be together. Then here
- 59:47Speaker 2: was a line in the letter.
- 59:48Speaker 6: I don't feel guilty about sleeping with him, but I
- 59:51Speaker 6: know I'm a terrible human being. Hold on, so let
- 59:53Speaker 6: me get this right. You're a terrible human being her words.
- 59:58Speaker 6: But that don't bother you. Well, you're a terrible human being,
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: but that don't bother you. Oh okay, So you have
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: no damn conscious. That's why it's so easy for you
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: to sleep with your sister's husband because you it's about you.
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: You're a narcissist. You don't have a conscious. Oh that's
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: what this is about. I get sad and long to
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: have a man like him. He said he loves me
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: and wants me in his life, but it's complicated. Now
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: this is another lie. I want you in my life,
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: but it's complicated. Well, he got you in his life,
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: just like he wants you. He just want to be
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: able to screw you when.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: He wont to. That's all he wants. But he got
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: a wife. So now listen to this.
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: I know if my sister ever found out, our relationship
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: will be over y'all's relationship.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: What do you think. Your mama gonna think? What you think?
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: The cousin's gonna think what you think? All your whole
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: family gonna think when this get out. I know this
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: from Sissel found out our relationship was over life. I
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: know things like this happened in movies, but this is
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: my real life. Should I tell him we should go
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: for it and see what happened? Wait a minute, go
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: for what. He ain't proposed.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Nothing to you.
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: This man ain't said nothing to you. Let's go in
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: there and sit down and talk to your sister so
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: we have a life together. He just told you should have,
- 1:01:26Speaker 6: would have, could have. He has not proposed anything, So
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: now you want to go in there. Should I tell
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: him we should go for it and see what happened?
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: This man fin to walk away from you? He not
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: fin to leave his wife? Or do I deal with
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: the heartbreak and let my sister her have her husband back.
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: What do you mean let her have him back?
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: You ain't took him. He ain't left, and he know
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: you ain't gonna tell.
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: See, this is the dude. He done played you should
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: I let should? I? Should I let her have him back?
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: You ain't took it.
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: He ain't left, and he know you ain't gonna tell.
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: That's why he's said he want to keep you in
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: his life. But it's complicated. Well, let me ask you
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: another question. System, How would you feel? How would you
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: feel if the shoot were on the other foot. I'm
- 1:02:18Speaker 6: just asking you that right there. Oh, but you don't
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: really give a damn. I forgot because you don't have
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: a conscious because you are really you, you really a
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: horrible person. But that don't bother you. Now, let me
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: tell you something else. You don't know nothing about this
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: man except he can screw.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: You.
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: Don't know nothing about him. Y'all ain't got no bills.
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: Y'all had an argument. Check, and let me tell you
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: something else about it. If he ain't got no problem lying, right,
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: he said he done sleft with his wife's system. You
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: can't get no closer than that. So when you do
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: get him, let's say you do get him. You think
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: he finn to cut the cheete off because he got you.
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: He cheated with his wife's sister. Do you understand if
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: a man cheats with you and you're considering taking him
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: from your sister. I don't think you really understand what
- 1:03:12Speaker 6: this man is capable of. You do know that this
- 1:03:16Speaker 6: whole move you're doing is a g T HIM move.
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: I just want you to know that this is a
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: straight up gt HM move Right there, This is a
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: straight go to hell move right.
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: This.
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: This is how you get a front row ticket to Hell.
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: This is how you get a seat right next.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: To the furnace. You be over that bottle.
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: You're in a lava rock section. Your ass is in
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: that part of hell where you you in a lava
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: rock section. You down there with you just you the
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: deepest pit of hell, right next to Lucile.
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: I s.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: No good waitch a party.
- 1:03:59Speaker 10: On Instagram?
- 1:04:00Speaker 9: Ace book, Please show got the Strawberry Letter podcast down
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: demand too. You're listening Morning show. Here's a quick question
- 1:04:09Speaker 9: for you, guys. Do you have a memory or vivid
- 1:04:12Speaker 9: recollection of the first time you met Santa Claus.
- 1:04:17Speaker 14: First time I met Santa Fla uh huh No, no,
- 1:04:26Speaker 14: the baby. I've seen the picture, but I don't remember
- 1:04:28Speaker 14: the man.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I don't know him at the mall. You see him
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: at the mall.
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: Yeah, but he never came to my house.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: I never saw him.
- 1:04:40Speaker 9: My mom would always tell me he had been there though,
- 1:04:42Speaker 9: and ate some pie and they sat out and talked
- 1:04:46Speaker 9: for a minute.
- 1:04:47Speaker 10: Oh really always Yeah, Steve, you remember meeting Santa Claus.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: When I first met him, Yeah, but I already knew
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: who he was, so that was what happened.
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: Well, I had been told by my brother's and stuff,
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: and then you can go down his white man if
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: it ain't nothing to our house. So when I met him,
- 1:05:06Speaker 6: it didn't have the joy that you think you would
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: have as a child. But still I liked Santa Claus.
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: I always liked him. I thought his intentions were well,
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: you know, I always enjoyed the concept.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: And plus I'm a big Christmas.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Guy, so yeah, yeah, and why is that who?
- 1:05:23Speaker 6: I just I just think it's the dopest holiday of
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: all time. I loved Christmas from day one. The gifts,
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: the giving. You know, see my father and mother face
- 1:05:33Speaker 6: man when they open up this little worthless ass gift
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: out about him. You know, I knew the gift wasn't
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: worth for them, but the way they faked it and
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: act like they cald it meant a lot to me,
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: you know. And so I became a big giver of
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: Christmas gifts. I've always kind of liked that, you know,
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: nice gifts and stuff. But then as I grew older,
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: I realized what Christmas was really about. So it wasn't
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: about to gift giving no more. And so it just
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: became I just want a tree, That's all I want.
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: It's a tree, you know, I know I know the
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: real meaning of Christmas. Right before you getting home, so
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: I can see my tree.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: I haven't seen it.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: No, I haven't seen it came from. I'm not sure
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: where this one came in from. I haven't. I haven't
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: disgusted yet with my wife, but this coming in from somewhere.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: You didn't get it at wall?
- 1:06:26Speaker 10: Are you mad?
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: He got old?
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: Yeah? Where your tree comes from? Tommy nameless? You don't
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: want excuse me? Excuse me?
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: The market.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Hasn't pre decorated, yeah, pre decorated?
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Oh wow?

- 1:14:56Speaker 8: Music?
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: Music? What is it going to be?
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: The let drummer boy? And they told me, I.
- 1:15:09Speaker 6: Remember when Tom was a little boy and he was
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: in the Christmas plane. He got mad, We're not gonna
- 1:15:14Speaker 6: do it this year. We're not gonna do it. That's
- 1:15:17Speaker 6: what That's what I was trying to tell him every year,
- 1:15:20Speaker 6: because I just Tom was so small. Every year I
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: made him play Baby Jesus about he want to be
- 1:15:29Speaker 6: a wise man that ain't got no time be trying
- 1:15:32Speaker 6: to explain how little your ass man?
- 1:15:36Speaker 8: You a little boy, you.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: Finna be Baby Jesus every year and then lay down.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: In that hey and quit moving.
- 1:15:46Speaker 8: And keep your face covered.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: You look old.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: Come on, sir, all right, I want to go wise
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: man this year. You're not gonna be no man in
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: this place.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: To shawe.
- 1:16:03Speaker 10: All right, coming up in forty nine.
- 1:16:05Speaker 15: Thank you guys.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: Coming to.
- 1:16:12Speaker 9: Forty nine minutes after the hour, and we'll have some
- 1:16:15Speaker 9: closing remarks from one.
- 1:16:17Speaker 10: And only Steve Crazy Harvey right after this.
- 1:16:21Speaker 9: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, last
- 1:16:25Speaker 9: break of the day, take us home with something good.
- 1:16:27Speaker 9: Closing remarks, Well, let's go.
- 1:16:33Speaker 6: I think I should keep it on the up upswing
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: for everybody again. I want to just talk to you
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: about what it really takes to make it, what it
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: really takes to make it.
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: Look, I can, oh, you know, sit here and tell
- 1:16:53Speaker 6: you a bunch of stuff that you know, sound like
- 1:16:56Speaker 6: I'm really into public speaking, and I know all of
- 1:17:00Speaker 6: what I'm talking about, all this here and YadA, YadA, YadA.
- 1:17:04Speaker 6: But at the end of the day, what people really
- 1:17:07Speaker 6: want is real simple things that they can do to
- 1:17:12Speaker 6: make it.
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: People want to be successful, man, they really do. They
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: They don't want.
- 1:17:19Speaker 6: To not know what it's like to be happy, to
- 1:17:23Speaker 6: be free, to be successful, They want a simpler how
- 1:17:33Speaker 6: should I put this? They want somebody to explain it
- 1:17:38Speaker 6: to them and simplify it. That's what I'm trying to say. Well,
- 1:17:42Speaker 6: guess what, I don't know if I'm the person that's
- 1:17:47Speaker 6: qualified to make it the simplest, But let me tell
- 1:17:51Speaker 6: you what I do. Though, if you want to be
- 1:17:53Speaker 6: happy in this life, if you want to be successful,
- 1:17:56Speaker 6: you're going to have to develop a couple of things.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Now here's the thing that I want you to understand.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: Most people have what it.
- 1:18:05Speaker 6: Takes to be successful, but if it does not start
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: with the belief that you can be successful, you can
- 1:18:15Speaker 6: never bring out the qualities in you of success.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: Listen to me again.
- 1:18:20Speaker 6: Everyone has it in them to be successful, but if
- 1:18:24Speaker 6: you don't bring them out, and that starts with the belief.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: If you don't have the belief that you.
- 1:18:32Speaker 6: Can be somebody, that you're worthy, that you're qualified, that
- 1:18:38Speaker 6: you're capable. If you don't start with that basic belief,
- 1:18:42Speaker 6: it can never happen. So first things first, in order
- 1:18:47Speaker 6: to be successful and happy in this world at whatever
- 1:18:50Speaker 6: level you're talking about, happiness, success is for you, It
- 1:18:53Speaker 6: has to start with the belief that it is for you.
- 1:19:00Speaker 6: I believe that I should be successful. I believe that
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: God wants me to be prosperous. I believe that He
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: comes to give you life and give you life more abundantly.
- 1:19:14Speaker 6: But you got to develop some things, man, And the
- 1:19:17Speaker 6: way to develop them is start.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: With the belief and hang on to the belief so strong.
- 1:19:23Speaker 6: That these attributes develop themselves. Resilience. If you believe hard
- 1:19:30Speaker 6: enough that you can be successful, that you can be happy,
- 1:19:35Speaker 6: it will automatically start to cultivate this thing that's in
- 1:19:39Speaker 6: all of us. It's called resilience. All y'all got it.
- 1:19:44Speaker 6: Everybody got it. You are resilient people. All of us
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: are resilient. Hell, if you can survive the projects, you resilient.
- 1:19:55Speaker 6: If you can survive public schools, you're resilient. Survive walking
- 1:20:00Speaker 6: through gang neighborhoods because you still want education, you resilient.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: If you manage to.
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: Get yourself a high school diploma or a GED, you
- 1:20:09Speaker 6: are resilient. And the more belief you have, the more
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: these attributes you can develop.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: You got to be tough. You know how you get tough.
- 1:20:20Speaker 8: You got to.
- 1:20:21Speaker 6: Believe that you're tough. You got to believe that you
- 1:20:23Speaker 6: can hang in now when all is against you. That's
- 1:20:27Speaker 6: how you get tough. You get tough because you keep
- 1:20:29Speaker 6: facing the tests and you keep passing them.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: But all of that, you can't pass the test unless
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: you believe you can. Y'all, don't hear me. All of
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: you have an inner strength. Listen to me, man.
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: Don't you know even a homeless person has an inner strength?
- 1:20:48Speaker 6: What is it that gets a person to live under
- 1:20:52Speaker 6: a bridge, or live in a refrigerator box or live
- 1:20:56Speaker 6: in some of these homeless encountments? Do you know what
- 1:20:59Speaker 6: really makes live there? Because they have an inner strength.
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: It's still some fiber of them that's telling them to
- 1:21:08Speaker 6: hold on. Because if it wasn't, everybody would just get
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: rid of theyself. Everybody would end it. But you know
- 1:21:16Speaker 6: why people don't end it because you really do have
- 1:21:18Speaker 6: an inner strength. It takes something to be homeless. Everybody
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: can make a mistake, man, and wind yourself up in
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: a situation. But homeless people inner strength. They have a toughness.
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: It's tough being homeless, man. They have a resilience because
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: for some reason they just won't give up. And even
- 1:21:40Speaker 6: though we judge them when we're driving by, look at them.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: Sitting on that corner, just asking for money. They done
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: gave up. No, no, it's another form of giving up.
- 1:21:52Speaker 6: But I'm telling you, even in your darkest moments and
- 1:21:55Speaker 6: your lowest points in your life, you have resilience, toughness
- 1:21:59Speaker 6: in a stre I got news for you. It can
- 1:22:02Speaker 6: help develop your faith because if you believe hard enough.
- 1:22:07Speaker 6: The Bible says that faith is the substance of things
- 1:22:10Speaker 6: hope for. That simply means that how you develop faith
- 1:22:15Speaker 6: is really the essence.
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: Of its just hope.
- 1:22:18Speaker 6: You remember when you was little and you hope you
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: got a bike for Christmas? And you went out there
- 1:22:22Speaker 6: one year and the Christmas and the bike was under
- 1:22:25Speaker 6: the tree. You remember when you used to hope? You
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: graduate from high school, you mess around and got a diploma.
- 1:22:32Speaker 6: Do you remember hoping one day you get a job
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: and now you're working. Faith is the substance of things
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: hope for. But if you keep hoping hard enough and
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: believe that something can happen, eventually, that hope turns into faith.
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: You got to have dreams and visions so big that
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: it dwarfs all your fears. This is how you make hope.
- 1:22:56Speaker 6: You got what I'm saying today, all Right?
