- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice. I said, come on now,
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me the one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Okay, Now, I'm gonna be really honest with
- 2:15Speaker 1: you this morning. I really don't know what to say.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I really don't um. I was sitting here and I
- 2:26Speaker 1: was thinking what do I say today. I do know
- 2:32Speaker 1: that I want to be encouraging, uplifting and inspirational in
- 2:37Speaker 1: some way to affect somebody today. Oftentimes, these conversations that
- 2:43Speaker 1: I have in the mornings, they're designed with me because
- 2:48Speaker 1: I I needed myself, y'all, to be honest with you.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I mean, you know who who makes the comedian laugh,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I used to say all the time. And even though
- 3:01Speaker 1: what what we talk about in the morning is not
- 3:03Speaker 1: a laughing matter, it kind of like is it's who
- 3:06Speaker 1: I am today. You know, I need motivation in my
- 3:11Speaker 1: life sometimes myself. I think when I get in moments
- 3:15Speaker 1: like this, I often resort back to the same thing
- 3:22Speaker 1: over and over and over. And when I find myself
- 3:26Speaker 1: in in certain predicaments, I can always fall back on
- 3:31Speaker 1: the same thing over and over. So while I'm sitting
- 3:35Speaker 1: here trying to figure out what to say to you,
- 3:38Speaker 1: the one thing that I did do this morning that
- 3:41Speaker 1: I find to be very consistent in me is that
- 3:45Speaker 1: I find myself grateful. I'm ever grateful for the things
- 3:51Speaker 1: that God has done for me. I may not always
- 3:55Speaker 1: know what to say, but I know how to say
- 3:58Speaker 1: thank you, I do. I know how to remember and
- 4:02Speaker 1: reflect back on where I come from. I know how
- 4:07Speaker 1: to realize where all my blessings come from. I'm very
- 4:13Speaker 1: very conscious of my journey that I've been on, the
- 4:19Speaker 1: the one that was from then until now, that journey
- 4:23Speaker 1: right there is it's been. It's been. It's been. Uh
- 4:28Speaker 1: it's been difficult, man, it really really has. I ain't
- 4:31Speaker 1: gonna lie to you, um me, becoming successful was very difficult.
- 4:40Speaker 1: But as hard as this is to say, I really
- 4:44Speaker 1: really mean this. I wouldn't change nothing about the trip
- 4:50Speaker 1: I've been on, no one because I can't change anything
- 4:57Speaker 1: about it. So I never lived my life and regret.
- 5:01Speaker 1: But the main thing is was I discovered along the
- 5:05Speaker 1: way now not doing the process when you're going through
- 5:10Speaker 1: rough moments that you can't hardly see the good in
- 5:13Speaker 1: it at the time. It's just rough for you and
- 5:16Speaker 1: it seems unexplainable, and oftentimes I thought it was unfair.
- 5:21Speaker 1: But as I am now, I needed every single thing
- 5:25Speaker 1: that happened to me, that happened to me to happen
- 5:30Speaker 1: to me. I hope that makes sense to you. I
- 5:36Speaker 1: needed everything to happen in the exact order and the
- 5:40Speaker 1: exact way that it happened in order for me to
- 5:45Speaker 1: be the person that I've become. And that right there man,
- 5:52Speaker 1: that right there alone, it's just very comforting to me.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Misrup Jakes told me one time, he said, the closer
- 6:02Speaker 1: you get to God, the more friendly you all become,
- 6:07Speaker 1: the more He will reveal to you, uh, the how
- 6:13Speaker 1: it comes and the what fays of a lot of
- 6:15Speaker 1: things that's happened to you, because a lot of times
- 6:18Speaker 1: what troubles us is we just can't understand why we
- 6:21Speaker 1: lost that love one back then. We just can't understand
- 6:25Speaker 1: why we didn't get what we wanted back then. We
- 6:29Speaker 1: just don't understand how come our plan didn't work out
- 6:33Speaker 1: and we had to fail so miserably back then. We
- 6:36Speaker 1: don't understand the answers to these things. Well, the closer
- 6:40Speaker 1: I've gotten to God, the more those explanations have become
- 6:44Speaker 1: crystal clear to me. And see, the one thing that
- 6:48Speaker 1: I came to the realization everybody is that the things
- 6:50Speaker 1: that was happening to me, they wasn't really all bad.
- 6:55Speaker 1: They really wasn't that ain't they didn't taste good when
- 6:58Speaker 1: it was happening. I didn't enjoy what I was going through.
- 7:02Speaker 1: But as I look back on them and reflect now,
- 7:04Speaker 1: it wasn't all bad. Some of those things were so
- 7:06Speaker 1: necessary for me to get their information because say, I
- 7:09Speaker 1: don't know about you, but I'm kind of hardheaded and stubborn.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I said, I don't know about you, but I'm kind
- 7:16Speaker 1: of hardheaded and stubborn. I kind of like to think
- 7:20Speaker 1: that I know something about some things. Every now and then,
- 7:25Speaker 1: and the things I am convinced about. I don't really
- 7:29Speaker 1: really care for people trying to talk me offline. So
- 7:33Speaker 1: I can be stubborn and hardheaded. Sometimes God knows that
- 7:37Speaker 1: about me. So I think to get some of the
- 7:39Speaker 1: messages crystal clear through the me that I needed to learn.
- 7:43Speaker 1: That was this process I had to go through. That
- 7:45Speaker 1: process was my journey, It was my trip, It was
- 7:50Speaker 1: my WOA, my pain. Say, everybody got them different, It
- 7:52Speaker 1: don't matter what it is. Everybody got a WOA, everybody
- 7:56Speaker 1: got a pain, everybody got a trial, everybody got some tripulation,
- 8:00Speaker 1: everybody got some challenge. I don't care who you are.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Dos quick looking at me thinking that I got it
- 8:05Speaker 1: going on, so tough man. But if it's Steve, yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 1: it's easy for you to say that, but you ain't here.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You don't know. Wow, Ben, if you would stop hanging
- 8:15Speaker 1: yourself up on your past, worrying about your woes and
- 8:18Speaker 1: your troubles and the situation you're in, and start praying
- 8:23Speaker 1: and start asking God to get you through it. See,
- 8:26Speaker 1: a lot of times you messed it. You you messed
- 8:28Speaker 1: a message up yourself, because when you're going through some stuff,
- 8:31Speaker 1: you ask God to remove it and take it away.
- 8:34Speaker 1: That ain't the lesson. You got to learn your lessons.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Sometimes it's gotta it's gotta be how to be strong,
- 8:41Speaker 1: how to see it through, how to bear under it,
- 8:46Speaker 1: how to carry that weight long distances for long periods
- 8:49Speaker 1: of time. That's how you get strong. The lesson is
- 8:54Speaker 1: is to make you stronger. But to make you stronger,
- 8:56Speaker 1: you got to carry the weight. You can't get stronger
- 8:58Speaker 1: you don't go to gym or you gonna do something
- 9:00Speaker 1: at your house to lift your own body weight. See
- 9:03Speaker 1: a lot a lot of people can't even do push
- 9:07Speaker 1: ups down. They can't get down, and in the course
- 9:11Speaker 1: of the day, give you a hundred push ups because
- 9:13Speaker 1: they ain't. They ain't. They ain't never try to daybody.
- 9:16Speaker 1: They get to twenty and shake it so bad they stop.
- 9:19Speaker 1: That's too much for me. Well, let me tell you something.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So I learned to quit praying to take stuff away.
- 9:25Speaker 1: My prayer became to give me the strength to handle it.
- 9:27Speaker 1: People oftentimes ask me, how do you do all that
- 9:30Speaker 1: you do in the course of the day. I don't
- 9:32Speaker 1: really know. I just know I can because I know
- 9:38Speaker 1: God don't put more on you than you can back.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So when you ask me how you do all of
- 9:43Speaker 1: what you do in the course of the day, I
- 9:45Speaker 1: got God. All things are possible through Him. That strengthens me.
- 9:54Speaker 1: He strengthens me. See all them times I was working
- 9:58Speaker 1: and living in a con struggling and people booing, and
- 10:01Speaker 1: people telling me I wasn't gonna mount to nothing, and
- 10:04Speaker 1: standing on that stage for hours and hours and just
- 10:06Speaker 1: going through it and going through it and living my
- 10:09Speaker 1: life all in misery and misery. Is so now now,
- 10:13Speaker 1: when God got what he got from me, I can
- 10:15Speaker 1: stand here and do it all. Yeah, I'm up early
- 10:19Speaker 1: this morning. Yes, So what what do sleep get you? Man?
- 10:24Speaker 1: Sleep don't nothing come to a purpose that loves sleep,
- 10:28Speaker 1: But poverty set upon you like a thief in the night. Man.
- 10:33Speaker 1: So now I ain't got no time for sleep. I
- 10:35Speaker 1: want to get up and live, live my life and
- 10:37Speaker 1: love my life. Man. Come on, man, God is good.
- 10:42Speaker 1: He'll get you through whatever it is you're going through.
- 10:44Speaker 1: So when you're tripping and you don't know what to say,
- 10:47Speaker 1: reflect and be grateful for all you reflect on, think
- 10:52Speaker 1: about God's goodness and watch what he do for you.
- 10:55Speaker 1: That's the cold part. Okay, you're listening ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:04Speaker 1: I have your undergoded. That means not split attention. Don't
- 11:08Speaker 1: want you pay attention to nothing but this hill. This
- 11:12Speaker 1: that's about to pop off. It's gonna be at a
- 11:14Speaker 1: level today that I really can't I don't know, So
- 11:18Speaker 1: let us just begin. We're gonna start with the bullshe
- 11:21Speaker 1: element of the show to get it out of the way.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Good morning, Shirley Strawberry, Oh that's me. Good morning to

- 11:44Speaker 1: Then that Steve? Now, which one of the names you
- 11:52Speaker 1: thought was bullis you? That's my case? Thank you for

- 12:44Speaker 1: did watch Worst Cooks of America. Whatever that's show. I
- 12:50Speaker 1: didn't even know they had a show like that. This
- 12:52Speaker 1: is just a quick side bar. LaToya Jackson was on there.
- 12:56Speaker 1: You guys talk about me not cooking. She didn't even
- 12:59Speaker 1: know how to squeeze a lemon. They told her to
- 13:02Speaker 1: squeeze lemon on a fish. She said, how do you?
- 13:05Speaker 1: How do you do that? Okay, so I rest my case.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I can cook because I know how to squeezing. Limit
- 13:13Speaker 1: doesn't qualify you as a cook. She just don't know
- 13:15Speaker 1: how to squeeze a lemon. She still can't cook. Neither
- 13:18Speaker 1: can you. Neither can you? But you don't want to cook.
- 13:23Speaker 1: You have no intentions for what she can't. It's called
- 13:27Speaker 1: it's called to eat eat. Yeah. All these restaurants here,
- 13:32Speaker 1: why man, j I noticed? Don't mean none to you.
- 13:40Speaker 1: But I'm so glad my wife can cook. Oh yeah,
- 13:43Speaker 1: it feels good, don't And it feels good for her
- 13:45Speaker 1: that her man can grill. Yeah, so that's what's happening
- 13:48Speaker 1: for you Memorial Day weekend. But she could do I
- 13:51Speaker 1: don't know, man, I really need to get away. Yeah,

- 14:17Speaker 1: is is another word for dude. And when they would

- 14:23Speaker 1: even more like these hard nags just asked me to
- 14:25Speaker 1: take them somewhere. We just want to be together. Hey, listen,

- 14:34Speaker 1: over the weekend, he put his mother out. We'll talk
- 14:39Speaker 1: about that right after this. We'll be back to thirty
- 14:42Speaker 1: two after you're listening to Steve Hardy Morning Show. Alright, guys,
- 14:48Speaker 1: So Aaron Wise, the golfer, he asked his mother for
- 14:51Speaker 1: some space, and uh, you know, of course he won

- 17:09Speaker 1: it was all about protection, respecting. He said, I kind
- 17:15Speaker 1: of made her leave her room. That's what he said.
- 17:18Speaker 1: You know the place and have some spade, you know,

- 20:26Speaker 1: you know what chidlings is, right right? Yea? This is

- 20:45Speaker 1: you chop it up in cubes. Chopping up in cubes, cops,
- 20:48Speaker 1: chuffed a little fat up, put it in a pot,
- 20:51Speaker 1: and you make a dark, rude gravy on it. And
- 20:55Speaker 1: it's a lot of seasons and it is delicious too.
- 21:01Speaker 1: You get some money. Was going to say, would you
- 21:03Speaker 1: eat that you want? Is that like? Is that like

- 24:41Speaker 1: I'm letting you know because you're you're raising your voice

- 26:53Speaker 1: not know, but I need you to make it happen.
- 26:55Speaker 1: He was not going out, but you're going to Jamaica, queen.

- 28:37Speaker 1: get when you make mistakes and don't know where the
- 28:40Speaker 1: hell you want to go. We didn't make a mistake,
- 28:42Speaker 1: and we know exactly where we want to go, and

- 28:46Speaker 1: tea bass. Do you understand? Don't understand one thing? You're
- 28:50Speaker 1: something I need you to understand. Are you listening to me? Yes?
- 28:53Speaker 1: W This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You just got pranked by your girlfriend Cindy, who is
- 29:03Speaker 1: your matron up? This is not funny. This is not funny.
- 29:14Speaker 1: My hands are shaking. Oh my god. Do you don't
- 29:18Speaker 1: know if I could have found you? Oh my god,
- 29:20Speaker 1: I'm a kidding like that. She was so upset, Jamaica.
- 29:36Speaker 1: You know what it could happen this week? People off?
- 29:45Speaker 1: Who is it? Who is it? You? Tell me? Why?
- 29:53Speaker 1: Who wants to know? I don't want to talk to
- 29:55Speaker 1: you about something? Okay, I'm listening. I've been listening to
- 29:58Speaker 1: your pranks and just got one thing to say about
- 30:01Speaker 1: your break. I'm listening. Here we go. Okay, wait, wait,
- 30:07Speaker 1: wait a minute. You caught him off guard. You I
- 30:17Speaker 1: ain't getting jumped on. We not on. It does happen
- 30:21Speaker 1: on Memorial Day weekend. Go down, but I'm thinking of you.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Coming up next, we're gonna go back to Battle of
- 30:30Speaker 1: the Poor. Like I said, Steve one round one. This
- 30:33Speaker 1: is round two coming up between Steve and j Battle
- 30:36Speaker 1: of the Poorest. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:43Speaker 1: All right, we started this a couple of minutes ago,
- 30:46Speaker 1: the Battle of the Porest. It just developed. We don't
- 30:48Speaker 1: know how it came and just jumped out at us.
- 30:51Speaker 1: A food, yea food. Now we're going to category number two. Yeah,
- 30:54Speaker 1: it's called Battle of the Poorest. Not porous, No, not
- 31:00Speaker 1: part poe poe. If you're poor, you're not pope. He
- 31:04Speaker 1: still got two letters. You can't afford all them old
- 31:07Speaker 1: and as Oh that costs money to you. Ready, Steve,
- 31:11Speaker 1: you're ready, Steve. But this is the poets about were
- 31:20Speaker 1: growing up. Okay when they were yeah, when they were
- 31:22Speaker 1: growing up. They're they're both you know, doing well now
- 31:26Speaker 1: but they're When they were growing up in South Carolina
- 31:28Speaker 1: and Virginia, they were pretty poor. So we're trying to
- 31:31Speaker 1: find out. Yeah, well he's Virginia, he's Carolina, West Virginia,
- 31:35Speaker 1: South Carola. I said that, Yeah, no way you can
- 31:37Speaker 1: beat mcdowald County. I love me in South Carolina, Richland County.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Bringing here we go, Here we go. Here's category number
- 31:46Speaker 1: two clothes. Ready. Yeah, I had one shot, one pair
- 31:52Speaker 1: of pants and one shoot. You didn't get both shoots?
- 31:58Speaker 1: Hey do No, Mama couldn't afford it. I would. I
- 32:02Speaker 1: would tie my legs behind my back and hot to
- 32:05Speaker 1: school day. Oh I'm just beata. I'm gonna beat you
- 32:23Speaker 1: with truthful steak. When it was time to go school,
- 32:28Speaker 1: shop my athletic shoes. I got one pair of a year.
- 32:33Speaker 1: They was called buttercups. They were on a table, tied
- 32:40Speaker 1: together in a knot. And your mama just rummaged through
- 32:44Speaker 1: until she found your size. And it was in the
- 32:47Speaker 1: grocery store, in the produced second gym. Shoes in the
- 32:59Speaker 1: produce ship, tied together in a knock. Get your vegetables shoes,
- 33:07Speaker 1: get just some apples and some old shoes in the
- 33:13Speaker 1: produces that's pretty good, producer, come on, go ahead, and Jacob.
- 33:21Speaker 1: First of all, I was a chunky little boy. It
- 33:24Speaker 1: was very fat. Yeah, I'm not as fat as I was.
- 33:28Speaker 1: You know, I was really fat. To heat the loss
- 33:32Speaker 1: all that week, Yeah yeah, anybody, I had to get them,
- 33:36Speaker 1: I had to get it. So my pants. I wore
- 33:39Speaker 1: pants that had the word husky jeans on the back.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Husky jean. That's how you remember that. That's what I wore.
- 33:49Speaker 1: And cutter our pants that when you walk they made noise.
- 34:00Speaker 1: This is the honest to god truth. We would take
- 34:04Speaker 1: potato sacks and turn them into T shirts. My mom
- 34:08Speaker 1: would wash him about four times. Cut a leta hood
- 34:12Speaker 1: like a head in it, and sleeves the burlap set
- 34:15Speaker 1: and that was your T shirt. You wore them as
- 34:19Speaker 1: T shirts. You had to be a tough ass child,
- 34:24Speaker 1: set up a T shirt and learned. I think this
- 34:30Speaker 1: round with the tie, we had draws to match. It's
- 34:37Speaker 1: time to get caught up, Steve. With today's national news.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Please introduce ladies and gentlemen. She's here, ms A and trip. Okay,
- 34:44Speaker 1: thank you everybody. This is answered with the news. This
- 34:46Speaker 1: is so hard to follow. The crazy Secretary State Mike
- 34:49Speaker 1: Pompeo is setting out a set of demands for Iran
- 34:52Speaker 1: to comply with in order to avoid being hit with
- 34:54Speaker 1: the quote strongest sanctions in history in the wake of
- 34:58Speaker 1: the Trump administration's pulling out the Iran Nuclear or Deal.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Pompeo is demanding that Iran and its uranium enrichment program,
- 35:04Speaker 1: that it stopped supporting proxy militias, that pulls out of Syria.
- 35:08Speaker 1: And that's not all. You know, that list is pretty long,
- 35:10Speaker 1: but if you take a look at it, these are
- 35:12Speaker 1: twelve very basic requirements. The length of the list is
- 35:15Speaker 1: simplest scope of the malign behavior of Iran. We didn't
- 35:20Speaker 1: create the list, and Pompeo insists that our European allies
- 35:24Speaker 1: share these same concerns. In other ways, he feels there
- 35:26Speaker 1: on board with that. Gina Haspell has now become the
- 35:29Speaker 1: first woman to head the CIA. Hospell's road to confirmation
- 35:32Speaker 1: was rather rocky because of her past roles in the
- 35:34Speaker 1: CIA's detention and interrogation of suspects techniques that included a
- 35:38Speaker 1: water boarding. In a significant blow to advocates of workers rights,
- 35:42Speaker 1: the U. S. Supreme Court ruled yesterday to allow businesses
- 35:46Speaker 1: to prohibit employees from banning together to challenge violations of
- 35:50Speaker 1: federal labor laws. The High courts conservatives voted to give
- 35:53Speaker 1: companies to go ahead to require their workers to sign
- 35:56Speaker 1: arbitration agreements where they basically weigh their own rights to
- 35:59Speaker 1: bring any class action claims down the line, especially where
- 36:02Speaker 1: concerns hours and wages. The courts for liberal judges essentially
- 36:06Speaker 1: called that ruling egregiously wrong. According to The New York Times,
- 36:10Speaker 1: a jealous white man in South Carolina tried to hire
- 36:12Speaker 1: a hitman to murder his black neighbors so he could
- 36:15Speaker 1: take the black man's property, and the report says the suspect,
- 36:18Speaker 1: twenty five year old Brandon Corey Lacroix, wanted to the
- 36:21Speaker 1: murder to look like a clan lynching, complete with a
- 36:23Speaker 1: burning cross. Lacroix unwittingly hired an undercover FBI agent instead,
- 36:28Speaker 1: and faces up to ten years in prison if convicted.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Netflix says it's reached a deal with our former President
- 36:35Speaker 1: and first Lady. Ex President Obama and his wife Michelle
- 36:38Speaker 1: have reportedly signed on to produce content for the popular
- 36:41Speaker 1: streaming service. Netflix says the popular former first couple will
- 36:45Speaker 1: produce films and series for the Netflix, potentially including both
- 36:49Speaker 1: the scripted and unscripted formats aimed at discovering and highlighting
- 36:52Speaker 1: the stories of people who are making a difference in
- 36:55Speaker 1: their communities. That sounds really nice. Okay, Starbucks back in
- 36:58Speaker 1: the news again and again it's not good. This time.
- 37:00Speaker 1: A Latino man says when he received the core fee
- 37:02Speaker 1: he ordered in the suburban l A Starbucks the other
- 37:04Speaker 1: day that instead of his name, the racial slur beaner
- 37:08Speaker 1: was typed on the cup's label. And that comes about
- 37:11Speaker 1: two weeks before Starbucks officials promised to give all their
- 37:13Speaker 1: employees racial sensitivity training, which is in the wake of
- 37:16Speaker 1: an incident involving you all know a white store manager
- 37:19Speaker 1: in Philly who called the police on two black men
- 37:21Speaker 1: who were sitting for a business and waiting for a
- 37:23Speaker 1: business partner and who had ordered anything. Yet today is
- 37:26Speaker 1: Donald Duck. Yes it is, because it's gonna rain a
- 37:31Speaker 1: little bit. Well you backamore Entertainment, Today's trending topics. Twenty
- 37:34Speaker 1: minutes after the out of Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're

- 40:47Speaker 1: Prince Harry did? We'll talk about it at thirty four
- 40:49Speaker 1: after the hour. Yes, they're great friends. Yeah, you're listening
- 40:55Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All Right, did you guys see
- 40:59Speaker 1: for the royal wedding over the weekend? Did you guys
- 41:01Speaker 1: see Prince Harry's ex girlfriend, Chelsea Davy. Chelsea Davy was
- 41:05Speaker 1: at the royal wedding. Yeah, she and the princes. Yeah,
- 41:08Speaker 1: they dated for what seven years? They're still really good friends.
- 41:11Speaker 1: He invited her. I mean they're still good friends. Yes,
- 41:15Speaker 1: and speaking of ex is mega, so you know what friends.
- 41:24Speaker 1: But hold up, hold up, Steve Harvey, what are you
- 41:28Speaker 1: saying right now? They're so white? Why do you say

- 42:06Speaker 1: a duchess. Yeah, but she worries was gonna be over.
- 42:10Speaker 1: She couldn't take all the scrutiny. You know that the
- 42:13Speaker 1: royal family is under you know, they're under such a
- 42:16Speaker 1: microscope being a royal. But the black side of Magan
- 42:18Speaker 1: didn't come out though. No. Yeah, she's cool and he
- 42:24Speaker 1: gets her. Yeah, she's definitely yeah, I think it is
- 42:29Speaker 1: has But you guys heard about Gloria Govan. She says
- 42:33Speaker 1: in her ex Matt Barnes will absolutely not be invited
- 42:37Speaker 1: to her wedding to want to. He just looked the groom.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Don't want to see Matta Gloria. Matt Barnes did congratulate
- 42:51Speaker 1: them when they got engaged in April, saying he's happy
- 42:54Speaker 1: for them because his kids have grown to love Derek Fisher.
- 42:57Speaker 1: But Govan says a relationship between the form Lakers teammates
- 43:00Speaker 1: it's still not great and Matt's presidents would really be awkward.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Let me tell you what. You shouldn't be that and
- 43:07Speaker 1: it's nothing wrong with that. No, he ain't coming right, No,
- 43:11Speaker 1: damn come to the wind the wedding. He can't come
- 43:18Speaker 1: to nothing. Got if you if you still have a
- 43:21Speaker 1: friendship with that person, you wouldn't invite them? Who like
- 43:25Speaker 1: you don't have a friendship? Mend Hey, are we gonna
- 43:35Speaker 1: be free? But you share? What if you share children

- 44:36Speaker 1: lot of people got to see this body what Shirley,
- 44:42Speaker 1: guess what mine tried to come to my ex try
- 44:45Speaker 1: to come to my wedding. And my husband was like,

- 44:54Speaker 1: a picture of somebody, send me a picture of the
- 44:57Speaker 1: good only got invited to the role with Chelsea David. Yeah,
- 45:03Speaker 1: she's tall, blonde girl that I think at the wedding.
- 45:08Speaker 1: You know how long a black wind would be on
- 45:11Speaker 1: hold if she showed up? Yeah? And then and then
- 45:14Speaker 1: you know, they asked if anyone is here that has
- 45:18Speaker 1: any objection to the wedding, you know, speak now or
- 45:20Speaker 1: forever whole. Nothing happened nothing obviously nothing happened yet, but
- 45:30Speaker 1: they did it. They did it early though, in the ceremony. Right,

- 46:05Speaker 1: prank phone call? What you got now? You know you're
- 46:08Speaker 1: sitting it going through my archive. You know, I got
- 46:10Speaker 1: three three pranks. I'm trying to figure out which one
- 46:13Speaker 1: I want to drop on you all to day. Well,
- 46:17Speaker 1: I don't know what the name of it. But when
- 46:19Speaker 1: you were praying for the man and asking about that kidney,
- 46:21Speaker 1: let's do that. Can I have your kids? That's my
- 46:26Speaker 1: dad and faith? Can I have your kidney running? Hello? Hello,
- 46:32Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach a brother conn. This is how
- 46:36Speaker 1: you doing brother? This is Deacon Patterson called him from
- 46:38Speaker 1: the church. How you doing today, Deacon Patterson? Yeah, you're

- 46:45Speaker 1: You know the church is behind you on what you're
- 46:47Speaker 1: going through. When we were praying for you. Man, we

- 47:13Speaker 1: we've been praying on it and it She was a
- 47:15Speaker 1: wonderful thing to know that your church is with you
- 47:17Speaker 1: and y'all thinking about me and prayer. I I've really
- 47:21Speaker 1: had to take this, this to the Lord. This is
- 47:23Speaker 1: a serious thing with me and I ain't never had
- 47:26Speaker 1: an operation before in my life, and I know I needed.
- 47:29Speaker 1: My wife made it clear, the doctor made it clear.
- 47:31Speaker 1: I believe I'm ready to go forward, Deacon, and we're
- 47:34Speaker 1: don't give the victory to who the Yes, he's the victory.
- 47:39Speaker 1: He let let me. Let me have a word of
- 47:41Speaker 1: prayer with your brother con if you don't mind just

- 47:56Speaker 1: that's getting ready to go and literally to put the
- 47:58Speaker 1: series thory on it. Yes, we asked that you make
- 48:01Speaker 1: sure that the doctor it's got a strong eye on
- 48:05Speaker 1: that morning walk with him. We asked that that that
- 48:07Speaker 1: he got a steady hand when he got the scalpel
- 48:10Speaker 1: in his hand. We asked that your hold own to
- 48:13Speaker 1: him please as he goes into a surgeon, because we
- 48:16Speaker 1: know it comes side the moaning h the victory gonna
- 48:19Speaker 1: belong the brother Connley and the Lord. Thank you Lord.
- 48:22Speaker 1: We know all of this, but we we we asked
- 48:24Speaker 1: that you take that pincers and you remove it out
- 48:27Speaker 1: successfully closing back up like it will never been into
- 48:31Speaker 1: it in before. Walk with Niki. That's what we're asking.
- 48:33Speaker 1: We asked your Lord. At the same time that they're
- 48:36Speaker 1: removing this pincreous Lord, we asked that your reach around
- 48:40Speaker 1: his backside and we asked that you to his kidney, Lord,
- 48:44Speaker 1: touch his kidney and make it hold. Make it a
- 48:46Speaker 1: hundred and we want you to make that kidneys like
- 48:50Speaker 1: it's been that best kidneys Deacon, that's deacon deacon whoop,
- 48:55Speaker 1: pat decent pass, Yes you say you down, sir. They're
- 48:59Speaker 1: just nothing wrong with the hitting the deacon. I'm doing.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I'm doing fine. The Lord is Lord has been needed. Well,
- 49:04Speaker 1: he's gonna work on my pantries. That's what the doctors
- 49:06Speaker 1: operating thought tat me forward and that's what they're playing
- 49:09Speaker 1: to remove. So my kidding is fine. They did what
- 49:12Speaker 1: they called when they're in my eyes and everything else
- 49:15Speaker 1: is fining. He ain't working on nothing but my pancris,
- 49:17Speaker 1: right right right, Well, well, let me let me say
- 49:20Speaker 1: I'm glad you brought that up with this this one
- 49:22Speaker 1: we want I call you huh. Of course I did
- 49:25Speaker 1: call to pray for you, that you know, because I
- 49:28Speaker 1: want to make so that that that that you make
- 49:29Speaker 1: it through this successfully. But what another the reason why
- 49:32Speaker 1: I'm getting around it is here is uh, what I
- 49:35Speaker 1: want to ask you? And I know we we you know,
- 49:37Speaker 1: we've never met face to faith. I've seen you a
- 49:39Speaker 1: couple of times, like I said, the church, but you've
- 49:41Speaker 1: been out most time. Uh were you with your sickness
- 49:43Speaker 1: and whatnot? But now what what I was gonna ask
- 49:46Speaker 1: you was Yeah, And I know this is I hate
- 49:50Speaker 1: to come at you in the final hour and you're
- 49:52Speaker 1: getting ready to go out certain and all that. But
- 49:55Speaker 1: if you don't mind it, if you could see it
- 49:57Speaker 1: in your heart to to to see need to do
- 50:00Speaker 1: something for somebody else. Um, that's that's the large where
- 50:04Speaker 1: you always supposed to help those who right. And I'm
- 50:07Speaker 1: glad you think like that. It's not when they go
- 50:10Speaker 1: in on Friday morning and and remove that pincers out.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Do do you think that that that that they could
- 50:18Speaker 1: go in and and get one of your kidneys? Because
- 50:22Speaker 1: I need one? Hold hold on, just mid beacon up
- 50:25Speaker 1: what you say? But what you said, see see see
- 50:29Speaker 1: what else? I've been going through myself with a little ailment,
- 50:32Speaker 1: and I'm wondering if if if I need a kidden
- 50:35Speaker 1: and I'm wondering if you can give me one of
- 50:37Speaker 1: yours when they go in and get your panker. They're
- 50:39Speaker 1: already to have you open. Did you say you wanted
- 50:42Speaker 1: them to take one of my kidneys? Yeah, and give
- 50:44Speaker 1: it to me because I need one. You need a kidney? Yeah?
- 50:48Speaker 1: What what what I mean? You are already gonna be
- 50:50Speaker 1: lading there open. Wait a minute, Mr, you need a kidney?
- 50:53Speaker 1: I need with my packers. You will call me with that. Man,

- 52:30Speaker 1: about ain't got a damn thing to do with Jesus.
- 52:32Speaker 1: You can kiss my and get off my phone. That's
- 52:35Speaker 1: what you can do. Can I say one more thing

- 54:31Speaker 1: I don't know why she came. And she wore all
- 54:33Speaker 1: black it was I think that's the Navy, but I

- 55:13Speaker 1: Letter to Steve Harvey f M dot com and click
- 55:16Speaker 1: submit Strawberry Letter, right Steve, Yep, Shirley, Come on now, No,
- 55:23Speaker 1: I'm so enthusiastic about begging people. Stay to No, really,
- 55:29Speaker 1: just do with you whatever. Alright, We're ready, buggle up
- 55:36Speaker 1: and hold on tight. Here it is Strowberry letter. All right,
- 55:39Speaker 1: subject my husband and his groupies. Here, Stephen Shirley. I've
- 55:44Speaker 1: been married twenty two years and we have three children.
- 55:49Speaker 1: My husband and I have a great marriage, and he
- 55:51Speaker 1: still takes me out on dates weekly. My husband and
- 55:54Speaker 1: I are prominent business owners in our community, so whenever
- 55:57Speaker 1: we go out in public, I have a problem with
- 56:00Speaker 1: women approaching my husband. My husband hugs the women, chats
- 56:04Speaker 1: with them, and as even welcome one woman to join
- 56:07Speaker 1: us at our dinner table recently, and yes, these women
- 56:11Speaker 1: ignore my presence. I am too successful to be checking
- 56:15Speaker 1: women in public, but I will not allow them to
- 56:17Speaker 1: keep disrespecting me and my marriage. I repeatedly speak to
- 56:21Speaker 1: my husband about this matter. He always says it's harmless,
- 56:25Speaker 1: and that he isn't doing anything to encourage these women
- 56:28Speaker 1: to act like to act this way toward him. I
- 56:31Speaker 1: know how women think, and yes, my husband is fine
- 56:33Speaker 1: and paid and he's always in a tailored suit. I
- 56:38Speaker 1: don't want uh to nag my husband, but I do
- 56:40Speaker 1: want to resolve this issue. Do you think that I
- 56:43Speaker 1: am being overly sensitive? Steve? Since you are a very
- 56:47Speaker 1: high profile star, I need your advice. She said it,
- 56:52Speaker 1: she called it. So how should I handle this? Uh? No,
- 56:55Speaker 1: I definitely don't think you're being overly sensitive. I definitely
- 56:59Speaker 1: don't think that you have every reason and every right
- 57:02Speaker 1: to feel the way you feel. I mean, no one
- 57:04Speaker 1: wants to be disrespected or feel ignored, you know, they
- 57:08Speaker 1: don't know one deserves that. But your husband, I think
- 57:12Speaker 1: is the one that should fix this problem. I mean,
- 57:14Speaker 1: all this hugging and you know, uh, chopping it up
- 57:18Speaker 1: with these women in front of you, and welcoming, welcoming
- 57:21Speaker 1: them over to the table and all that that kind
- 57:23Speaker 1: of stuff needs to stop. I think he's a little
- 57:26Speaker 1: overly friendly, um because it makes you feel some kind
- 57:29Speaker 1: of way. I mean he can shake their hands, you know,
- 57:32Speaker 1: or something like that, or you know, just respectfully say
- 57:35Speaker 1: I'm with my wife, this is me time, right now,
- 57:38Speaker 1: this is our time, right now, we're on a date.
- 57:40Speaker 1: He can keep it professional with them and and very respectful.
- 57:43Speaker 1: He says it's harmless, but it's not harmless to you.
- 57:46Speaker 1: And that's what he needs to understand. Uh, he needs
- 57:49Speaker 1: to understand it's about you and how you feel, because
- 57:52Speaker 1: you should be his priority number one in his life,
- 57:54Speaker 1: not these women. Um so I would have to say,
- 57:57Speaker 1: you know, you need to defer to your husband. I'd
- 57:59Speaker 1: have one more converse station with him, letting him know
- 58:01Speaker 1: how you really feel, and hopefully, hopefully that will shut
- 58:05Speaker 1: it down. Steve, since you're a high profile star, very
- 58:09Speaker 1: high profile star, you've been through this, I'm sure of course.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Of course. Well let's let me take it a step
- 58:18Speaker 1: and show you something. First of all, you say that
- 58:23Speaker 1: your husband and our prominent business owners in our community.
- 58:26Speaker 1: So whenever we go out in public, I have a
- 58:29Speaker 1: problem with women approaching my husband. My husband hugs and
- 58:32Speaker 1: women chats with him, and it's even welcome one moment
- 58:35Speaker 1: to join us at identitable recently and yes, these women
- 58:38Speaker 1: ignore my presence. Okay, Now, first thing, I need no
- 58:42Speaker 1: us what business do you all have in? What type
- 58:47Speaker 1: of community that makes y'all that prominent? Where he in
- 58:52Speaker 1: the hug and kissing baby bus? That is he a politician?
- 58:58Speaker 1: Is that the business you in? Does he own? Do
- 59:01Speaker 1: y'all own the only grocery store in town? Why he's
- 59:06Speaker 1: so damn famous, y'all? The Jefferson? Y'all got a stranger cleaners?
- 59:11Speaker 1: What is y'all I did? Because y'all making best red
- 59:13Speaker 1: velvet cake? Y'all got a bakery? What business does he
- 59:19Speaker 1: have that makes y'all so damn prominent that he gots
- 59:24Speaker 1: to be chimmy with all the damn women. Come on, well,
- 59:29Speaker 1: let me go and explain something to you. Men have
- 59:36Speaker 1: much bigger egos than women. Yeah, women have stress points
- 59:42Speaker 1: that they have to deal with under pressure of looking
- 59:45Speaker 1: good for other women. What magazines have done to women
- 59:48Speaker 1: over the years, and then what some men expected women.
- 59:52Speaker 1: So women have a heart aware of it. But don't
- 59:55Speaker 1: you think for one minute that men don't have egos.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Because he got long, he loves the popularity, Oh, Mr Johnson,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Oh Mr Wallings, what? Oh Mr Mr Miles? Because see
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: then it gives him a sense of accomplishment. How y'all
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: doing a hug and all the women, and the women
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: take advantage of this, and then he's even gone so
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: far as to invite one to your table. That is
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: what really ticked you off. But not only do they
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: get at the table, they ignore you and play you short.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: They've done it to Marjory. I can't count the times
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: where some most women are really respectful though. Hey Marjorie,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: how are you doing hasty? Y'all look so beautiful. Account
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: that's the majority of people. Every now and then you'll
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: get some woman I don't want to I will jest
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: you I don't want her in my picture. Well you're
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: not getting no damn, because I don't know what you
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: think I'm fin to do. I can't play my girl
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: short because you're having this egotistical moment. But now your
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: husband has to start taking you into consideration and how
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: this must make you feel. He must at least not
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: allow the women in the community to disrespect you as
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: his wife. But this ego thing he wears fine Taylor's suits,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: you know, this ego thing, the attention. Hear what you
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: need to do. The next woman that comes sit down
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: at the table act like you ain't there. The next
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: one to play you short. You gotta make an example
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: out of her where it got to get round? You got?
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: How fun? However, one more bags? He hugging me if
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you want to. No, No, go ahead hugging me if
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you want to. But Steve, I've never seen you do
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: anything like I mean. I've always seen you, like be
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: respectful to the to the person that wants to take
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: the picture, but you would never hug them like that.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I've never seen you do that. Nothing that I've never
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: seen you do that. See no, because she first go
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: with her and make a life with her. I got
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: you on the picture. But if you can be respectful
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: towards both of us, be more than happy to give
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: you the picture. If you shade my girl in any way,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: and I can't, I can't do nothing for you. All Right,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: We're gonna have part two of this letter, Steve's response
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: coming up the subject my husband and his groupies. Right
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Steve Show. Come on, Steve,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: let's get to part two of your response to today's
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. My husband and his groupies. She's been married
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: twenty two years. Husband's a good man. They got some
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: business that she won't tell us what it is that
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: makes them prominent in the community. He wear tailor suits.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: I've been trying to get what it is. I thought
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: maybe he was a politician called day in the hug
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: mama kissing baby business. Maybe they only on the only
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: grocery stole in something. I think it's a small town. Yeah,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: maybe maybe they got three or four cleaners down there,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: pastry shop. But whenever they see him, they want to
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: hug him, and he hugging him back. How y'all doing?
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: What's up, ladies? How y'all doing? Oh? They fall forward
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: to and they ignore you. Now a couple of reasons
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: why you might get played show? All right, come on,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: let's go. Women. Try who they think they can get
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: away with it with. Women, Try who they think they
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: can get away with it with. So now, why are
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: they trying you? Well, let's go over a couple of
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: things that could possibly be happening here. Could it be
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: that number one, they think because you ain't saying nothing,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: you ain't gonna say something. Could it be that, oh,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: here's the ugly one. Could it be that they have
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: looked at you and decided, oh, that's what he liked. Well, hell,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: let me holiday whoa, I'm gonna let that one sank
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: in so now here they come because they think they
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: can because he's allowing it. And number two, you ain't
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: checking nobody. And then number three, I don't know what
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: outfit you have on when he go out in them
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Taylor suits. But you need to step up. You get
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: your show hand on fixtive where them help us, not
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: put on them, let them sit, say that again, done them,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: let him see you ain't gotta be shame. And then
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: if all fails, you got to make an example out
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: of one over you can drag her, drop her ass
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: right there at the table, take her head and slam
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: it down into the math for do you know how
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: that gets your attention when your head hit? I have
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: a question. I've had this this argument at my house
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: when you when you take pictures as a celebrity, were
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: you're supposed to put your hand at when you take
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: the wide over her shoulder, fingers showing okay, because I
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: have all my pictures on the show, I have had
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: my hand around like a woman's waist. That has created
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: a big Why you got your hand out away? And
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: he's stupid. Before we went to break I told you,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I've never seen you do anything disrespectful like this when
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: the women come up to you. I've just never seen it.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: You always have someone else take the picture with you.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: You never like hug them anything. My hands in front
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: and folded. Yeah, you know, you can hug me if
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: that's what you want to do. But we're not fitting
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: being here loving on each other. Now, this ain't fitting
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: to be on TM. It's like it's like women who
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: come on my show. I put my arm around it
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: when we take the picture with the panel. But if
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: you look at my hands behind him, my fingers is
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: widespread open. You can see it on most camera shots.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: You can see my hands. But what is your hand
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: doing the middle of the bank. I didn't know it
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: was an issue. I just didn't. I just pictures. Now
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I'm learning that. Like if you take a picture with
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: a man and his wife and she in the middle,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: make sure your hand is on his shoulder so he
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: knows ain't nothing but the wife in the middle, and
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I put my hand around him, right, I'll never touch
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: his mana you've done that too, No, No, it's been
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: I've always touched the guy's shoulder. I know you don't
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: have any mentors. Do you have somebody you can run this.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: I'm good, I just ran right here. Junior, Junior, June.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: This year is late. But the other problem is in Junior,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: that problem everything exactly Jor he never would have brought
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: this up. Oh I can't shoot. How flat is your stomach? Junior.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: He's been to some squire, he's been to pay some square. OK.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: So bottom line, Steve, and this letter, well, the bottom
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: line is he has to you have to make him
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: aware that he's said, oh, it's nothing, but this always
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: nothing is affecting you. It's affecting you, So it is something.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: And then secondly, I mean, come on, dude, you got
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: that that much of all ego where you just can't
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: just for a little while go hey, look, ladies with
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: my wife. We're having a good time. I appreciate y'all. No, man,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: you invite some moment. You got nuts. That's what date
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: night is for the two of y'all. Yes, yeah, you
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: gotta say something. Yeah we're trying to dinner. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: there's a way you can say it. Definitely. All right, Steve,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. You can email us

- 1:10:10Speaker 1: real long. His comedy Roulette. It's very simple. Take five subjects,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: any subjects, put them on a wheel. Fund the wheel,

- 1:17:04Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, here
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: we are, Steve, You've decided to name your top five
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: basketball players of all time because there's been some debates. Now,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: I was going to ask everybody. I'm gonna ask Junior Kia,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Junior Junior. Now he's junior when he was fat yeh
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: ji fat kids Ki Yeah, Tommy, so kid, give me
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: your top five alright, is basketball players of all time? Alright,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: starting that point going, wait a minute, we don't want
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: no drama. You know, theatrics win it on that goods
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: is he the youngest ladies and gentlemen, the starting five
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: all time great hoopers of all time. The squads are
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: being picked now, starting with care right now, starting that
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: point guard. Just I have taken Jay, said Kidd. After
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: two god, none other than Kobe Black Mama right. And
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: then at forward, I'm gonna have to go with lebron Jack.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: And then if I have to have a sinner he
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: came to dream Lost you want and power forward, I'm
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: milling it in. I'm gonna go with Charles Barkler. Yes,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: like that. I start five right there. That's who is
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: gonna be who. Let's get I don't really know. Now
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: Jerry Anthony Brown's top five greatest basketball I don't know
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: what position she played, but I'm putting shell Swoop in there.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: That's my player on my team. You know, I'm putting
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: her on my team. I'm putting Larry Bird on my team.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: I'm putting Michael, I mean, Michael Jordan on my team.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: And I'm putting Um Magic Johnson on my team. And
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: I'm putting uh one one. Damn. Who I'm with yl
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Swoop Damn is right? Yeah? Uh? Who's the one the
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: brother um you know, the brother man Rail Miller Miller.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: That's my team. That was tough, ye, Nephew Tommy starting
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: five greatest basketball players ball. Here we go out to Steve.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: I'm going number one right now, Magic john Magic Johnson,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: the one and only Michael Jordan. Right after that, who Brown,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: bro Lebron James h huh, and the Black Mama of
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: course Kobe Brian last would not least my dog, the
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: one and only Shock Nasty New York. That's my top
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: five right there. I agree with his top five. We
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: were doing all good. But let me say this, it
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: is impossible to pick the top five because you have
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: to leave off for great. I've left off several. I
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: was in total agree with with you. Tommy Magic Johnson check,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's check, Lebron James check, Kobe Bryant check. That's
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: where you stopped. But see shock should be in there.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: I put Shock in there. It was it was last
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I had to go and pick the unstoppable shocked. Uh
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: huh the legend to names. Come on, change the rules
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: of basketball. Who Louy formerly known as k I'll due
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: your ball you one more sky hooking their mama draws
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: did now? But see not that's my five, But my
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: five really should have Larry Bird in there. Your five
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: got to have shocking now. But ahead your five. I'm
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: just telling you, man, Jay, thank you, thank you. Now
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: let me tell you something. See, you will lose uh
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: Kia because it's you, Jason Kidd, Kobe, Bryan, Lebron, James A.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: Keim and Charles Ball great players. You will lose. You
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: will lose Jay because you put Sheryl Swoop on. She
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: can't check nobody out here. They went to the w
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: n B A. Yeah she was greatness, but she can't
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: check nobody out. You know, it's just hard because they're
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: always the awesome, great players, you know, but it's just
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: five that I just enjoyed watching them play. These are
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: five I enjoyed play, you know, watch play it from
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: their position. Jason Kidd was such a great pass and
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: he got everybody involved. Kobe Bryant, his dominance, his will
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: is nothing. Chris Paul, Chris would to see. It's a
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: lot of I don't know about. Jason Kidd was my dude.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: I loved his game. His game was outstanding and a
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: chem of logic. I grew up on the King. I mean,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: you ain't gonna lose, No, but he came. Ain't nobody
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: stopped your ball, not even shot because he had a hook.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: He had a shot you couldn't block. What's his name
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: for sending revolution as the game. First of all, he
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: took Duncan out of college. They stopped dunking because of Louison.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: That's crazy. They stopped dunking. Magic Johnson revolution revolutionized the
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: point guard position. Never before north since then have you
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: seen a point guard like Magic Johnson. He does not exist,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: not before or since. Ain't ain't no six nine magics, Lord, no,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: not the flow all sounds like this is a great debate. Yeah,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: we'll have to do some more right after this. We'll
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: be back at twenty after. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Morning Show. Before we left, we're in the middle of
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: the top five players, you guys, the choices of all
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: times great basketball debate. Now let me say this, come
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: to not say Will Chamberlain is a travesty. Yeah, five
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: is too hard. Oh, no matter whose list you pick,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: the top five, somebody else could put a five together.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: Be right there with you. Now it's some people that's
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: on everybody list. See Jordan's on everybody. Listen, you don't
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: have Michael Jordan on your list, and you couldn't get
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: out of the conversation because you're stupid around a lot,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: because that's how you are. He was greatness, But Will
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: chamb him most points and most women. You know he
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: was scoring at both him. You believe that, believe I believe. No,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: I don't know. That's too many. Yeah, that's well, listen
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: to me many. He's just one man. All you gotta
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: do it's just get a calculator and to show you
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: how crazy that number is. Man, that's a crazy number.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: I agree with you, Steve. The guys aren't convinced, but
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I definitely agree. I'm just saying he had to start
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: a kidding go y'all know, John Withers been right. He
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: got the funniest bit about your boy having that much.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: Said he had to be brushing his teeth, he had
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: to be eating, driving to work, walking at how many women? Something?
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna, I'm going to show you something
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: that's a lot. You believed that, don't you listen? To
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: listen to me, twenty thousand women for ten straight years.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: To have twenty thousand women for ten straight years, you
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: would have had to have five women a day, every
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: day for ten straight years. How can he play at
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: that level? And sixty five days a year, you had
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: to have five women a day. Do the numbers, y'all,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: five times three hundred sixty five. That's eighteen hundred times.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: That's a lot of hot. Ten years equals that's eighteen thousand.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: We're still short. So it's really like five point four
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: five point four women every day, three hundred five days
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: a year for ten years. He didn't say that was satisfied.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: He said he was with there's a lot of that.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: That's it. And and you know, son, that has had
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: twenty thousand women. I never believe that story. That's just
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: something he probably put up because everybody's talking about there
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: was no reason he put up a hunted point. May
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: put hunt point and so he was. He was wild chair.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: He was one of the great basketball players. And uh,
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: I saw dudes that caball Man. I watched Connie Hawkins,
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: I watched el Jim Baylor. I've seen some boys that
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: Oscar Robertson seem to not say Oscar Robinson, Oscar Robinson.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: But then you look at this boy Westbrook Man, that
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: boy on one. But then so and Steph Kerry. But
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: Kevin Durant right now, Kevin Durant right now is the
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: second best basketball player in the world. My rot He's
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: the second best basketball player in the world. A r

- 1:32:05Speaker 1: at forty nine, after Steve's closing remarks, I know he
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: has something good for us because he already told us.
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Show. Last Break of the day.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: We've had a great morning today, Yes, yes we did.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: We have fun today. Steve. It's time for you now
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: to take us home with your closing remarks. What you
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: got for us today, Steve, Well, this is going to
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: be shortened to the point I think. I just want
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: to remind everybody something that your dreams can come true
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: if you're willing to fight for him. You have to
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: fight for your dreams. You have to fight for the
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: life of your dreams. You have to fight to be free.
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: You have to fight to be an entrepreneur. You have
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: to fight to be successful. You have to fight the
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: THEY says when you say I'm gonna leave my job.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: You have to fight the NY says when you say
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: I want a better job. You have to fight some
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: forces out there when you go, you know what, I'm
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: gonna leave here to pursue a better position at another company,
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: You're gonna have to fight for it. Change requires a fight.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: It just does. It just does. I don't know why
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: it is, man, but there's people always in our lives
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: somewhere who are going to fight us on decisions that
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: we make about ourselves. I don't know why it is,
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: but it seems to happen for everybody. All of us
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: have to fight to get through to the other side.
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: You have to fight through the wall of fear. You
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: have to fight through doubt, you have to fight through confusion.
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: You got to fight through the nay says. You got
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: to fight through haters. You gotta fight through the fact
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: that it didn't go your way. You have to fight
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: through the fact that you got up and you just
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: wasn't feeling yourself today. You gotta find a way to
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: fight through. You gotta find something in you that makes
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: you keep fighting even when you don't. There's a poem
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: that stands at a point that says, if you can
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: force your heart, your nerve, and your SiNW to serve
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: its turn long after it has gone, when there is
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: nothing left within you except the will to say to them,
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: hold on, you have to fight like that. Not the
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: funny thing about that line and that poem. I think
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: that's uh if if and I the stand that the
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: Stanzas says, if you can force your heart, your nerve
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: and sanw s new is the fibers that holds all
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: your insides together. They call that s new, those tenders
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: or whatever it is. That that's stuff that that there's
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: lines and chords and fibers that hold your heart and
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: organs and all that stuff in place. If you can
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: force your heart nervous, some new to serve your turn
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: long after it is gone, when there's nothing left within
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: you accept the will to say to them, hold on.
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: That's how you got to fight. That's how you got
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: to fight. And it's all right, but make it a
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: good fight. Don't lay down. Don't let nobody punk you
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: out your dreams, don't let nobody trick you out of
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: what God has for you. Don't let the fact that
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: you got to fight stop you from fighting. Life is
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: a fight, man, it's a dog fight out here. They're
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: not walking money up to your house. I'm sorry, they're
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: not passing out you. They don't send free money to
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: nobody's house. You got to do something to get it,
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: and if you really want to get it, you are
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: involved in a fight. Like it or not. That is
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: what we are in. We are in a fight, so
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: get with it. Stop talking out. It ain't time for that.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: You're in a fight. We are in a fight. Let's go.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: That's what it is every day. And if you think
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: it's not, keep sitting up in here light and letting
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: life slap you upside your head, because that's exactly what
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: it's gonna do. You're in a fight, folks. You're in
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: a fight for your dreams. You are in a fight
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: for the life God has for you. You are in
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: a fight for your future. You are in a fight
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: for your promotion. You're in a fight for advancement. You're
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: in a fight to do life better. You are in
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: a fight to have more. You are in a fight
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: to succeed. You are in a fight to overcome. You
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: are in a fight to beat illness. You are in
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: a fight every day of your life. What you think
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: this is you got to fight and make it a
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: good fight. Here's the tip to fighting. If you have
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: God in your life, you will not lose the fight. Period.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: That's all I gotta tell you. If you have God
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: in your life. You will not lose the fight if
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: you include him in the process. Seeing all of my fights,
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: here is my partner, here, my tag team partner. When
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: I tag him in, everybody in the ring need declared.
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: All the people that take me to court falsely, all
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: the people who lie about me falsely, all the people
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: try to bring me down for self gain. Yeah, I'm
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: not over here by myself. I am protected by a
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: scripture Isaiah fifty four seventeen that no weapon formed against me.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: Show prosper come from me if you want to, I'm
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: just gonna tell you, I'm gonna hand you the scription.
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: Get out the way. I've seen him do it for
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: me too many times. But I know I'm in a fight.
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: I just don't go to the fight alone. You can't
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: take a knife to a gunfight. Put God in your
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: life and you cannot lose the fight, because that's what
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: we're in. We're in a fight. You feel me, your sir,
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: drop the mic, Baby, that was a good one. Steve's
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: in a fight. That was good. You gotta fight for
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: your dreams, all right, Well, thank you, sir, y'all have
