- 2:20Speaker 1: in any arena, any genre. I don't care what it is.
- 2:24Speaker 1: If you're trying to be successful, this message is for you.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Let me help you understand something real clear. You ain't
- 2:32Speaker 1: gonna make it the way you want to, and you're
- 2:36Speaker 1: not going to make it to the heights that's fully
- 2:39Speaker 1: out there and available for you without God. And I'm
- 2:42Speaker 1: just keep it real simple and clean for you today.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You're not going to make it the way you want to,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and you're not going to get to the heights that's
- 2:53Speaker 1: available to you without God. You have to get this
- 2:58Speaker 1: through your head. You can try it if you want to,
- 3:01Speaker 1: because I did. I'm here to tell you I am
- 3:04Speaker 1: talking purely from experience. Here you can try it without God,
- 3:09Speaker 1: and you can see how far you can get. Will
- 3:12Speaker 1: you have some measures of success? Of course you will.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Will it feel like days like you might make it?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Of course you will. But let me ask you a question, though.
- 3:21Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days when you feel
- 3:23Speaker 1: like you ain't gonna make it. When you're gonna do
- 3:25Speaker 1: about them days where it feel like there are no
- 3:27Speaker 1: answers to your questions. What you're gonna do about them days?
- 3:30Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days when everybody laughing
- 3:33Speaker 1: that you can turn against you. What you're gonna do
- 3:35Speaker 1: about them days when you just don't see no way
- 3:38Speaker 1: through it? What you're gonna do about them days? I
- 3:40Speaker 1: got the sunshine, you know, sunshine cool? Everybody got friends.
- 3:44Speaker 1: When it's Sunday outside, you want some friends, hit the lotto,
- 3:47Speaker 1: you want to get rid of them friends, go ask
- 3:49Speaker 1: for some help. Man. I'm talking about man. They scattered
- 3:52Speaker 1: like roaches when lights come on. I'm trying to tell you. So,
- 3:55Speaker 1: now here we go again, and you can do this
- 3:58Speaker 1: without God? Now because I've done it and you can
- 4:01Speaker 1: have yourself some measure success. Let me even hip you
- 4:03Speaker 1: to a little bit closer, though, let me tell you
- 4:06Speaker 1: why you are doing it without God and having some
- 4:09Speaker 1: measure of success. Can I tell you why? Because of
- 4:12Speaker 1: God's grace and mercy to us, because of his grace
- 4:15Speaker 1: and mercy trying to keep us in spite of ourself,
- 4:20Speaker 1: for the real mission that He really got for us.
- 4:23Speaker 1: See that's the truth of the matter now, now what
- 4:25Speaker 1: we're talking about nasty See. So yeah, yeah, you can
- 4:28Speaker 1: do it without God, and you can have some measure
- 4:30Speaker 1: success without God. And yeah, you know, you know, yeah
- 4:32Speaker 1: you got your little degree and everything. Yeah you completed
- 4:35Speaker 1: the program, got all that, YadA, YadA YadA. But don't
- 4:39Speaker 1: you know something. It's because of God's grace and mercy
- 4:42Speaker 1: that he helps us anyway when even when we ain't
- 4:44Speaker 1: asking for help, when he bails us out anyway, when
- 4:47Speaker 1: we don't even ask him to be bailed out. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: know why, because He loves us that much that he
- 4:52Speaker 1: would allow us to exist until we get our mind
- 4:55Speaker 1: together where he could take us away, really trying to
- 4:57Speaker 1: take us. Let's get this real straight clear. Today. You
- 5:01Speaker 1: can do this without God if you want to, but
- 5:04Speaker 1: I am telling you to get to where you really
- 5:07Speaker 1: want to be and to be all that God has
- 5:10Speaker 1: for you. You got to have God. There's no ifs
- 5:14Speaker 1: ands buts about it. And let me tell you this here.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I don't really care what nobody had then told you.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Are you listening to me? I don't care what they say.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Don't get this thing twisted. They got these people out
- 5:27Speaker 1: here talking about their luminatis and all this here. Man,
- 5:30Speaker 1: don't listen to me. Don't get caught in this mess.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Don't get caught in no foolishness. You were created by God.
- 5:39Speaker 1: God created you, ain't your soul. We were all created
- 5:42Speaker 1: in His image, all of us. Don't get to talk about.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You've fen to cut a deal with the devil in
- 5:48Speaker 1: all you ain't cut no deal with nobody. Man. The
- 5:50Speaker 1: devil don't do deals. He one sided. I'm taking you
- 5:54Speaker 1: to hell. You going to hell. You're burning in here,
- 5:57Speaker 1: that's his deal. I want your soul. I want you
- 5:59Speaker 1: to lose hope. I want you to take your life.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I want you to take some other people's lives. I
- 6:04Speaker 1: want you to feel hopeless. I want you to realize
- 6:07Speaker 1: that there ain't no God. That's his whole deal. His
- 6:10Speaker 1: whole deal is negative. Oh he can talk you into
- 6:13Speaker 1: dealing drugs if you want to. But let me tell
- 6:14Speaker 1: you something about this. I watch these shows all the time,
- 6:17Speaker 1: drug ink and all this here cocaine mafia. Everybody on
- 6:22Speaker 1: now go to jail or get killed. Our prisons has
- 6:25Speaker 1: filled the day with our young boys because they thought
- 6:28Speaker 1: they could outslick the system. They thought they had a way.
- 6:31Speaker 1: They thought. They said to them, been here and they failed.
- 6:33Speaker 1: For the old cliche, man, I gotta do what I
- 6:35Speaker 1: gotta do, I gotta get this money. Well, the only
- 6:38Speaker 1: reason you gotta do what you gotta do is because,
- 6:40Speaker 1: like I say all the time, you didn't do what
- 6:41Speaker 1: you were supposed to do. It is but because of
- 6:44Speaker 1: His grace and mercy that we exist. And God has
- 6:48Speaker 1: just taken care of you, looking out for you. Got
- 6:50Speaker 1: some angels encamped around you until you get your mind
- 6:53Speaker 1: right so he can get you where you're going. But
- 6:55Speaker 1: now I want you to understand something. There's a cause
- 6:58Speaker 1: and a consequence and a pen for everything we do.
- 7:01Speaker 1: This outside the will of God. That's for all of us.
- 7:05Speaker 1: All of us have consequences, penalties, and everything that we
- 7:08Speaker 1: got to deal with outside of the will of God.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Understand that clearly. Don't get this thing twisted sideways. You
- 7:17Speaker 1: understand me. You know. I heard a young man tell
- 7:20Speaker 1: me one day. He said, uh, Steve, you know, man,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I just don't see how God looking out for me,
- 7:25Speaker 1: if he would allow all these things to happen to me.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I'm having such a hard time in my life. I
- 7:30Speaker 1: really don't see how there's a God looking out for me.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I live the young man, I said, the man, it's
- 7:35Speaker 1: just something. Man, you're still breathing. He said, yeah, I'm
- 7:39Speaker 1: standing here talking to you. I said, you're still free.
- 7:41Speaker 1: He said what you mean. I said, you ain't locked
- 7:43Speaker 1: up by You said no, I'm standing here talking to you.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I said, where you get them clothes from? I bought him?
- 7:48Speaker 1: I said, when you bought him with what? I bought
- 7:50Speaker 1: him with money? I said, where you get the money from? You?
- 7:52Speaker 1: So I got a job, mister, huh, I got a job.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I said, well, well where you live though, he's our
- 7:58Speaker 1: our apartment. I said, where your department? It's the Harve
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm working. I got an apartment. I got a job.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I was okay, okay, So now this this God ain't
- 8:08Speaker 1: looking out for you? Thinkin finish telling me what you're
- 8:10Speaker 1: telling me. Well, see, man, I'm having it real hard
- 8:13Speaker 1: right now. I said, hey, hey, man, you are you hungry?
- 8:17Speaker 1: You have you had lunch yet? He said yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 1: y'all already had lunch yet. I said, oh, okay, okay,
- 8:23Speaker 1: so gone finish telling me about this how God ain't
- 8:25Speaker 1: looking out for you? He said, oh. And you know, man,
- 8:28Speaker 1: every every time I try to do something, it seemed
- 8:30Speaker 1: like it go wrong for me. I said, but let
- 8:33Speaker 1: the man something. Man, I say, every time I go
- 8:35Speaker 1: wrong for y'all say, somehow you survive it. He said, yeah, yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I survive it some kind of way, but it's still
- 8:40Speaker 1: be all messed up for me. I say, but but
- 8:42Speaker 1: you still got through it though, he said yeah. I said, okay, man,
- 8:45Speaker 1: gone finish telling me how how God ain't looking out
- 8:48Speaker 1: for you? And he stopped. He said him it is Harvey.
- 8:50Speaker 1: He said, how come every time I tell you something
- 8:53Speaker 1: that's going wrong, you keep telling me God looking out
- 8:55Speaker 1: for me? I said, because you're still here, man, I said, See,
- 8:58Speaker 1: you don't understand it. I said, you seem to think
- 9:00Speaker 1: that you're supposed to just supposed to skate through life,
- 9:03Speaker 1: that it's all supposed to go how you want it,
- 9:05Speaker 1: any kind of way. I said, Man, Jesus, the test
- 9:07Speaker 1: of your faith, I say, God looking out for you
- 9:10Speaker 1: the whole time. I say, every time you tell me
- 9:12Speaker 1: something going wrong, you seem to turn around and tell
- 9:14Speaker 1: me how you survived it. You keep telling me what
- 9:16Speaker 1: ain't going right, but you keep telling me all these
- 9:19Speaker 1: things you have. I said, man, so what you gotta
- 9:21Speaker 1: do is you gotta stop looking at the what you
- 9:23Speaker 1: ain't got column and start focusing on what you do
- 9:26Speaker 1: have column. But if you ain't happy with nothing heating
- 9:28Speaker 1: done for you, you wanted to keep piling stuff on.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I said, you fail in the test, young man. The
- 9:33Speaker 1: test is are you grateful for where you are right now?
- 9:37Speaker 1: So I could give you more so we could move forward.
- 9:39Speaker 1: He said, oh, man, I never even looked at like that.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I said, well, why don't you take your blessed cell
- 9:43Speaker 1: phone somewhere and sit down? He said, I think I'm
- 9:45Speaker 1: going over here and let you finish talking. I said,
- 9:47Speaker 1: thank you. So sometimes you just got to look at
- 9:49Speaker 1: what you do got, folks, that's all it is. Okay,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you can't make it without God, y'all, you got me today?
- 9:55Speaker 1: All right, let's be clear, let's go. You're listening to show,

- 10:55Speaker 1: You put your you put your head name up against this,
- 10:57Speaker 1: her head name gonna be some trouble, Junior. What's on
- 11:02Speaker 1: your mind? Man, well of man? Today, Shirley strong Berry's
- 11:06Speaker 1: birthday up. It is yea and the glorious day. It
- 11:12Speaker 1: is the birthday Shirley. So what do you love most
- 11:17Speaker 1: about Shirley Strongberries? Just don't tell on a birthday. You know,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I've known Shirley personally for twenty two years. I've known
- 11:26Speaker 1: of her since I was doing radio in Chicago. You know,
- 11:30Speaker 1: she played me off in Chicago. She act like she
- 11:33Speaker 1: ain't know me. You know, you was no way he
- 11:35Speaker 1: was coming through Chicago and listening to the radio it's
- 11:38Speaker 1: powerful as radio Wheys in Chicago, and didn't know who
- 11:41Speaker 1: I wore when she played the short you know, ain't
- 11:45Speaker 1: going all in me and running up on that everything. Yeah,
- 11:48Speaker 1: you know I was. I was with her through several
- 11:51Speaker 1: dating periods and everything. You know, when we lost contact,
- 11:56Speaker 1: I never really talked to it in you know, she said,
- 11:59Speaker 1: I don't know she thought she was out my league.
- 12:01Speaker 1: You know. Yeah, I certainly didn't feel that way in
- 12:04Speaker 1: ninety four. Obviously she felt she was a full leaf.
- 12:10Speaker 1: You know. So when we were united in the year
- 12:13Speaker 1: two thousand, it was because I was on the radio
- 12:15Speaker 1: by myself. I had just taken over the beat for
- 12:18Speaker 1: Ed Lover and Drake. So they said we got to
- 12:21Speaker 1: get a radio person in there. So they put Shirley
- 12:23Speaker 1: in the booth with you, and Shelly didn't like me
- 12:26Speaker 1: at first. She really didn't. You didn't like me. Shelly
- 12:30Speaker 1: didn't like me at first. I could not stand huh
- 12:33Speaker 1: because it wasn't you're what y'all bringer in here and
- 12:35Speaker 1: tell me, no, folk, you can't do this, Steve Harvey, Steve,
- 12:39Speaker 1: you can't do that. You have to you have to
- 12:41Speaker 1: mention time checks. You have to tell them what station
- 12:43Speaker 1: they listened to, if they asked, and listening to the radio. Wise,
- 12:47Speaker 1: I'm always saying the radio station, Well, that's stupid. They
- 12:51Speaker 1: tuned in already. It worn't station you thank you on Yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 1: So that's how the relationship starts. Shirley. Shirley lies about
- 13:02Speaker 1: this all the time. When I first met Shirley, she
- 13:04Speaker 1: had two afro pup. She lied about that. We're real
- 13:10Speaker 1: tight ass leopard skirt on. She thought she was gonna
- 13:15Speaker 1: bring it in, you know, being the wind we overhand.
- 13:17Speaker 1: But body, you know, I ain't gonna hut either to this.
- 13:23Speaker 1: So we'll be doing our Shirley's birthday story all morning long.
- 13:28Speaker 1: The story Shirley Scarberry, All, all right, thanks a lot, Junior,
- 13:37Speaker 1: coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll
- 13:39Speaker 1: hear from the nephew and run that prank back right
- 13:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 13:46Speaker 1: it is time now to start your morning off with
- 13:49Speaker 1: the nephew and run that prank back. What you got
- 13:51Speaker 1: for us, nef today? Oh well, you know we're gonna
- 13:56Speaker 1: going on and we're gonna go and keep it stupid
- 13:59Speaker 1: for you. I was stupid yesterday. I'm gonna try to
- 14:00Speaker 1: be stupid today this right here. You know what I'm saying. Yo,
- 14:05Speaker 1: Yo drunk husband, Yo, drunk husband. A lot of people
- 14:10Speaker 1: have heard that phrase before. It's been said all over
- 14:13Speaker 1: the country, all over the world, Yo drunk who o Grey,
- 14:16Speaker 1: you know who you are? All right, cat dog, let's go, baby. Hello,
- 14:22Speaker 1: you gotta hold on a minute. Okay, all right, I
- 14:24Speaker 1: got your phone. I'll give your wife a call. Hello, Hello,
- 14:27Speaker 1: right right now. You're inebriating, sir, okay, right now, to
- 14:31Speaker 1: be taking you in. But I'm not gonna do that. Man.
- 14:34Speaker 1: You let me. I ain't able to come and pick
- 14:35Speaker 1: you off. I'll let her come get you. Alry all,
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'm fran. It's gonna Officer Brian's gonna put you in
- 14:41Speaker 1: his squad car. I'm gonna call your wife. I've got
- 14:44Speaker 1: the phone dolling now all right, okay, hello, Hello? Who
- 14:49Speaker 1: is he? Who? Who am I fushing with? Please? Who
- 14:52Speaker 1: is this? This is over, Sir Daniel. O Daniel, you
- 14:57Speaker 1: just till from this is my husband? Not who is
- 15:00Speaker 1: Who is officer? Then? I am Officer Daniels Man. Yes,
- 15:03Speaker 1: your husband's actually been pulled over, and he's been uh
- 15:07Speaker 1: actually he's in another officer's car. He's he's a little
- 15:11Speaker 1: bit of kneebriated here and we're trying to see about
- 15:14Speaker 1: getting him picked up. I'm trying my best not to
- 15:16Speaker 1: take him in today, so I'm trying to be a
- 15:18Speaker 1: good Samaritan. I'm trying to get someone to come and
- 15:20Speaker 1: pick him up. Hold on, hold on, hold on, back up,
- 15:23Speaker 1: back up. You got my husband? Uh? What I got
- 15:27Speaker 1: here on the driver's license is Kenny Kenny, and he's
- 15:30Speaker 1: with you now. He's actually an officer Brian's squad car
- 15:34Speaker 1: right now. So he was actually bobbing and weaving out
- 15:37Speaker 1: on the road and we pulled him over. He's not
- 15:40Speaker 1: creating any problems. The young lady wasn't creating any problems.
- 15:43Speaker 1: So what we're trying what we're trying to do is
- 15:45Speaker 1: get somebody to come and pick him up. You'll have
- 15:47Speaker 1: my husband because my husband has been worked so he
- 15:49Speaker 1: can't be in. No officer ran in your car. It
- 15:53Speaker 1: wasn't back. Did you say him again? Did you say
- 15:56Speaker 1: somebody's with Kenny? There is There was a young lady
- 15:58Speaker 1: in the car. Man, we're actually her goal because she's
- 16:01Speaker 1: not a heebriated I'm gonna look over at somebody. She's
- 16:04Speaker 1: calling somebody to pick her up now, Man, No, I
- 16:08Speaker 1: can't believe it. Kenny and I know that dirty song
- 16:12Speaker 1: gotten a back in my car. That's my car. And
- 16:15Speaker 1: you said that he had timid this officer timidus look
- 16:19Speaker 1: at that at tema what she looked like. If that'd
- 16:21Speaker 1: not be that, that'd not be the one. I think
- 16:24Speaker 1: she have no idea, ma'am. I know about it in
- 16:29Speaker 1: my cause he's supposed to be working. I'm so sorry Jack.

- 17:03Speaker 1: I'm here. Yeah, I'm here. I'm here. Okay, man, listen,
- 17:06Speaker 1: I can't. I can't stay here too much longer. I can.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I can say here, maybe another fifteen twenty minutes. Somebody
- 17:11Speaker 1: come get the car, and but I gotta keep moving here.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I'm just trying to do a frinother because I'm on
- 17:18Speaker 1: my way. I'm all my way. I'm all my way.

- 20:50Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of
- 20:54Speaker 1: the hour, and entertainment news. Little du Ball is in
- 20:57Speaker 1: the news because he is not living his best life
- 21:00Speaker 1: right now. He was involved in a four wheeler accident
- 21:05Speaker 1: in the Bahamas. Um. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's all right,
- 21:10Speaker 1: but yeah, he's not in the clear out of the woods.
- 21:14Speaker 1: But you know, we'll talk about it at the top
- 21:17Speaker 1: of the hour. Also, get ready for a new couple alert,
- 21:20Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Atlanta star Chre Whitfield and Love and
- 21:24Speaker 1: Marriage Huntsville star Martel holt Our Dating. Yeah, yeah, wrap
- 21:30Speaker 1: your mind around that one firm star around Lucy Well.
- 21:40Speaker 1: These are reality stars Steve and today's forecast hot and
- 21:44Speaker 1: sunny with the chance of outrage. The Weather Channel apologizes
- 21:48Speaker 1: for broadcasting a graphic with the inward blurred out during
- 21:53Speaker 1: a forecast in Des Moines, Iowa. We'll talk about all
- 21:56Speaker 1: of these stories at the top of the hour, but
- 21:58Speaker 1: right now, yeah, it is time to ask the CLO
- 22:02Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. It's ready for you. Sam
- 22:07Speaker 1: in Kansas, City writes, my boyfriend is cheating on me
- 22:10Speaker 1: and the girl he's messing with sent me two pictures
- 22:13Speaker 1: of him in her bed. I posted the pictures on
- 22:16Speaker 1: my Facebook page and all the comments are nasty toward me.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I'm not the one cheating, So how did this turn
- 22:23Speaker 1: on me? So why did you post it? See? When
- 22:25Speaker 1: you dig a hole for somebody else, sometimes you don't realize,
- 22:29Speaker 1: but you might as well dig too. See, so you're
- 22:33Speaker 1: so busy trying to slam him, you end up getting
- 22:36Speaker 1: yourself slam See. You posted it on Facebook to humiliate
- 22:41Speaker 1: the man, and now you got your ass humiliated. What
- 22:45Speaker 1: what the purpose of posting it on Facebook? If he
- 22:50Speaker 1: cheated on you? He ain't for you? What is all
- 22:52Speaker 1: that I'm fenn to put you on Front Street? No,
- 22:55Speaker 1: you put y'all on front street. And now you've found
- 22:59Speaker 1: out what's social media really is laying up the haters. Yeah,
- 23:04Speaker 1: and they will turn on your answer the heartbeat. So
- 23:07Speaker 1: now the lesson in it for you is not that
- 23:09Speaker 1: he's a cheatah, is that you handled it the wrong way.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You want to revenge? Yeah, get off on social media,
- 23:17Speaker 1: you know? And his stock went up. I just want
- 23:19Speaker 1: to tell you two pictures of him and his girlfriend's bed. Wow,
- 23:25Speaker 1: a lot of women going. He can sleep over here too.
- 23:28Speaker 1: You got who you're in the hateful world that you
- 23:30Speaker 1: played it wrong. You thought you were sending this to
- 23:32Speaker 1: the church. Y'all got quit falling asleep though fellas at
- 23:43Speaker 1: these houses and getting these pictures taken a y'all, you
- 23:45Speaker 1: got to quit all of us asleep. Really, nephew, that's
- 23:49Speaker 1: your contribution. Get and go fun. And Charlotte says, I'm
- 23:55Speaker 1: raising two sets of twins. I have twin girls and
- 23:58Speaker 1: my boyfriend has a set of twin girls. We were
- 24:01Speaker 1: both married for ten years before we met, and I
- 24:04Speaker 1: told him I'd never get married again. Lately he's been
- 24:07Speaker 1: pressuring me to get married and it's driving me crazy.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Does this mean that he's not the right man for me?
- 24:15Speaker 1: The man want to marry you. You told him you
- 24:18Speaker 1: didn't want to. He hurt just like women hear men
- 24:22Speaker 1: say they don't want to get married. They hurt it,
- 24:25Speaker 1: but they want what they want. What does that mean
- 24:27Speaker 1: he's not the right man for you. A man wants
- 24:30Speaker 1: to marry you, make you his wife love you. Obviously,
- 24:35Speaker 1: you ain't having no problem with y'all taking care of
- 24:37Speaker 1: the blended family part, and now you got a problem
- 24:42Speaker 1: with that. Look, if you don't want to get married,
- 24:45Speaker 1: just tell him you don't want to get married. But
- 24:46Speaker 1: that don't mean he ain't to want for you because
- 24:48Speaker 1: he wants to. He may not be the person because
- 24:52Speaker 1: maybe he wants to get married and have a family
- 24:54Speaker 1: and you don't. It's okay. I mean a lot of
- 24:57Speaker 1: people do feel like that after they been through maybe
- 25:00Speaker 1: a bad marriage or something, Steve, they don't want to
- 25:03Speaker 1: try it again. You know they're done with the marriage. Surely.
- 25:10Speaker 1: I'm just saying, you know, I'm talking to a lot
- 25:15Speaker 1: of people. Do say that, though you know that's how
- 25:19Speaker 1: the world is. I'm not saying that's right, all right?
- 25:25Speaker 1: Moving on to Tracy and Phoenix. I'm forty four and
- 25:28Speaker 1: extroverted and my husband is forty five and he's an introvert.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I told him I was cutting my hair and dying
- 25:34Speaker 1: at Jet Black, and he said to go do whatever
- 25:37Speaker 1: makes me happy. I got a short pixie cut and
- 25:39Speaker 1: he says he hates it. He hurt my feeling. So
- 25:43Speaker 1: now I want to tell him everything I hate about him.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Should I do that? Go ahead? Go ahead? What's wrong
- 25:52Speaker 1: with y'all you're extrovert, feeling he's introverted. You ask what
- 25:59Speaker 1: you go do to cut You wouldn't got it? He said,
- 26:02Speaker 1: he hates it. What you're asking for? Well, she didn't
- 26:05Speaker 1: think he was gonna say I hate it. Well, he said,
- 26:08Speaker 1: go do like you wan't too. Then you came in
- 26:10Speaker 1: and asked him, and obviously he went on decide to
- 26:12Speaker 1: do what he wanted to and tell you the truth. Naw,
- 26:17Speaker 1: you want to tell him? Go ahead now now y'all
- 26:20Speaker 1: going in and break each other down to where it's
- 26:22Speaker 1: irreputable harm and then see what y'all end up with.
- 26:26Speaker 1: He just don't like your head. Now what you didn't
- 26:28Speaker 1: tell him about? She said, everything everything that she hates
- 26:32Speaker 1: about him. Oh, your faith, your facial feature. Yeah, I've
- 26:41Speaker 1: heard that before. Man, you're gonna hurt it get because
- 26:46Speaker 1: that won't hurt me all the way from the ninth grade.
- 26:48Speaker 1: So yeah, it's gonna stick with him when you tell
- 26:50Speaker 1: him what happened ninth grade. That told me she wasn't
- 26:53Speaker 1: going to the junior problem with me, And she said, no,
- 26:56Speaker 1: I should have just left it at that. Now messed
- 26:58Speaker 1: around it as to why, she said, because I don't
- 27:02Speaker 1: like your facial features and that crushed your right. This
- 27:08Speaker 1: was before I had money for plastics. I don't. I
- 27:11Speaker 1: don't know what you want me to do about it.
- 27:14Speaker 1: And I wasn't even a well plastic when your name?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Who said that to someone? And I just went you
- 27:22Speaker 1: you you hurt? For help? You didn't have hurt me? Like, yeah,
- 27:29Speaker 1: she seen you, not though, dog Dog? I met her
- 27:33Speaker 1: at a concert, didn't please, don't you met her since? Then?
- 27:37Speaker 1: Oh years later I met her, you know, came to
- 27:39Speaker 1: a show, came back stage. She was still fine. Man,
- 27:43Speaker 1: A girl was fine. She asked me that ill that
- 27:47Speaker 1: I want to go to go out to dinner. I said, no,
- 27:49Speaker 1: I'm not hung. She said, well, can we get some coffee?
- 27:52Speaker 1: I said I don't drink coffee. She said, you want
- 27:57Speaker 1: to just sit around and check? I say, I'm tired.
- 28:01Speaker 1: And then my boy came to me and said, dog,
- 28:03Speaker 1: what's up with you? Man? It's fun? She just invited
- 28:07Speaker 1: you out three times. Come on, I said, no, I
- 28:12Speaker 1: won't go nowhere with it. He said why? I said,
- 28:14Speaker 1: because she don't like my facial feature. You ain't never
- 28:20Speaker 1: forget and all that features is twice the size they
- 28:24Speaker 1: was back. Yeah, so just don't get to not liking
- 28:27Speaker 1: them anymore. Now that hurt me. Man, you grew into
- 28:30Speaker 1: them into my eyes. But this woman is hurt too.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Sull It, shut it, shull it. You haven't grown into
- 28:37Speaker 1: your eyes your head anyway. Coming up at the top

- 39:03Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to morning show time now
- 39:10Speaker 1: to check Steve's voicemail. If you want to leave Steve
- 39:12Speaker 1: a message, call Um eight seven seven twenty nine Steed.
- 39:15Speaker 1: All right, so Steve. Recently we talked about the new
- 39:18Speaker 1: dating term on the dating apps called ethical nonmonogamy. You
- 39:22Speaker 1: guys remember that from the other day. It's the practice
- 39:26Speaker 1: of having a closer sexual relationship where both parties consent
- 39:29Speaker 1: to the infidelity. In other words, I'll tell you that
- 39:32Speaker 1: I'm married and you agree to sleep with me anyway. Swinging,
- 39:35Speaker 1: open relationships, all that polyamory all fall under the umbrella
- 39:39Speaker 1: of ethical nonmonogamy. So we have a caller that left
- 39:44Speaker 1: a message about our discussion on the subject. Take a listen.
- 39:48Speaker 1: So y'all are talking about ethical monogamy and call him
- 39:52Speaker 1: at cheating, And I'm gonna let y'all know right now
- 39:54Speaker 1: you're very much known here at leaving he just entire sol.
- 40:00Speaker 1: If you don't want to do it, then don't. But
- 40:03Speaker 1: calling something cheating and changing the terms, because again, what
- 40:08Speaker 1: is monogamy. Monogamy is saying with one partnership ethable non monogamy.
- 40:13Speaker 1: You're saying that you don't want now is it something
- 40:16Speaker 1: that I want to do? Oh? I get jealous. I
- 40:18Speaker 1: don't feel like sharing. Is it something that I'm wost
- 40:21Speaker 1: sit here in clouds because I don't want to do it? No,
- 40:24Speaker 1: I understand that it's just not for me. Y'all are
- 40:26Speaker 1: very much showing your age and insisting that something is
- 40:29Speaker 1: cheating when you are open with your partner and discussing
- 40:34Speaker 1: the fact that neither of you walt you will just
- 40:37Speaker 1: be was one person is not cheating, not the first time.
- 40:41Speaker 1: That's not something that I don't understand, probably not gonna
- 40:44Speaker 1: be the last time. But again, being ethically non monogamous
- 40:49Speaker 1: means you're quite literally let your partner know that we're
- 40:52Speaker 1: not feeling people together. You both know that you both
- 40:55Speaker 1: have that agreement and it works for them. If it
- 40:57Speaker 1: works for them and it doesn't work for you, leave
- 41:00Speaker 1: it alone. Simple that don't vote call on something cheating cheating.
- 41:04Speaker 1: This is not cheating. Cheating is line cheating involved life.
- 41:07Speaker 1: If it does not involve lighting, life is nice. I
- 41:11Speaker 1: appreciate you calling in and telling us what showing our
- 41:14Speaker 1: age because well we have the age to show. Your
- 41:17Speaker 1: ass is showing yours because you don't listen. The lady
- 41:21Speaker 1: that wrote the letter and called in did not say
- 41:24Speaker 1: their partner knew about it. They said that's what they
- 41:28Speaker 1: were practice. That are sights on where married people are
- 41:33Speaker 1: on there putting it out there for the other person
- 41:36Speaker 1: to partake in them and letting them notice they're married
- 41:39Speaker 1: and their partner knows nothing about it. That's what the
- 41:43Speaker 1: phone call was about. So when you call your talking
- 41:46Speaker 1: about somebody showing their age, make sure yola lasts ain't
- 41:49Speaker 1: showing yours too. So learn to listen, because that's what
- 41:54Speaker 1: it takes when you come after me, y'all showing y'all age. Now, look,
- 41:59Speaker 1: if y'all swingers, we know what swingers is. We was
- 42:02Speaker 1: doing when this was around for your young ass was born. Now,
- 42:06Speaker 1: if you got another couple of y'all go down to
- 42:08Speaker 1: the club knock and you want to swing. We know
- 42:11Speaker 1: what that is. That ain't what the damn call was
- 42:14Speaker 1: talking about. But you didn't listen to that. You heard
- 42:17Speaker 1: the part you on it, and now you want to
- 42:19Speaker 1: call it and be critical because we old, old is
- 42:22Speaker 1: the goal, and maybe one day your ass to get
- 42:26Speaker 1: older and have some damn sens to sitting up in
- 42:29Speaker 1: here and I'll be listening to this stuff. And I'm sorry, lady,
- 42:32Speaker 1: but you're on the back end of my work week
- 42:34Speaker 1: because I work with young people. That family few say
- 42:38Speaker 1: stupid sugar hunted iced tea. Oh damn stay long. And
- 42:43Speaker 1: I got to sit there because hr G riding the corner,
- 42:46Speaker 1: and I got an act like I'm okay with that,
- 42:49Speaker 1: damn it, I ain't. And you then walked up into
- 42:53Speaker 1: the Hornets. Nash Wilder Hornett was sitting outside reading the paper.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Now buzz banging your all right kind of yellow people,
- 43:05Speaker 1: because we old, we students, we don't know how to
- 43:08Speaker 1: look at this stuff. Y'all keep y'alling come up with
- 43:10Speaker 1: all these new ass titles. You won't do. It's called cheat.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Hell it is, man, It's yeah, it's an agreement between
- 43:21Speaker 1: the people who are going to be cheating with or
- 43:24Speaker 1: seeing each other. They didn't say anything about them. They're
- 43:27Speaker 1: telling their partners or anything like that what the call
- 43:32Speaker 1: was about. She didn't hear that, though, You ana want
- 43:34Speaker 1: to light us up because hut dumb massa in some relationship.
- 43:38Speaker 1: It's some man told her, he says, somebody, all right,
- 43:41Speaker 1: hut dumb mass trying to be okay with what you
- 43:44Speaker 1: called say that's uninformed. Coming up next, the nephew with
- 43:57Speaker 1: the frank phone call for today right after Today you're
- 44:01Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 44:06Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 44:08Speaker 1: Strawberry letter for today. And the subject is she got
- 44:12Speaker 1: him fighting for her? That is the subject. We'll get
- 44:15Speaker 1: into that and just a little bit because right now

- 44:38Speaker 1: he was married to his brother. Yeah, yeah, you're right,
- 44:42Speaker 1: well he doesn't care. Told a man, a white man,
- 44:49Speaker 1: that the twins he had that he was the father
- 44:52Speaker 1: of the other twins. Oh yeah, if I get that
- 44:57Speaker 1: pastor's number in uh New York that got robbed the
- 45:01Speaker 1: other day. Oh why not? You know, my mom just
- 45:07Speaker 1: said what it's telling me. Always messing with the church people.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Let's leave them church, the ones that curse the best.

- 53:38Speaker 1: Thank you nephew. All right. Subject she got him fighting
- 53:42Speaker 1: for her. Dear Stephen Shirley, my coworker and I have
- 53:46Speaker 1: a strong bond. I am what you would call his
- 53:49Speaker 1: work wife. My work husband and my real husband talk often,
- 53:53Speaker 1: and since my work husband is dating a scandalous woman,
- 53:56Speaker 1: my husband has been counseling him a lot. When my
- 54:00Speaker 1: husband and I met the girlfriend, she looked at us
- 54:02Speaker 1: like we were garbage and didn't deserve to be in
- 54:04Speaker 1: her presence. She was overdressed for dinner, and when the
- 54:07Speaker 1: waiter offered us wine, she said that she only drinks champagne.
- 54:11Speaker 1: But the way she broke all those verbs wasn't classy
- 54:14Speaker 1: at all. My work husband can't see it, though. He's
- 54:17Speaker 1: pee whipped, and he is talking about marrying this low
- 54:20Speaker 1: budget scandalous woman whenever they are out. He's had to
- 54:24Speaker 1: check several guys for being overly friendly with her. It
- 54:27Speaker 1: made me skeptical, and I was right. She is the problem.
- 54:31Speaker 1: She's a big flirt and likes to make eye contact
- 54:34Speaker 1: with men. It's like she's insatiable and needs all of
- 54:37Speaker 1: the attention from every man in the room, even my husband.
- 54:42Speaker 1: My husband peeped it too and said that she always
- 54:45Speaker 1: does too much around him. This past Saturday was a
- 54:48Speaker 1: telltale sign that she's trouble. But my work husband is
- 54:52Speaker 1: taking her side once again. She works as a leasing
- 54:55Speaker 1: manager at a high rise building and my work husband
- 54:58Speaker 1: popped up at her job. There was a man in
- 55:01Speaker 1: the office yelling at her. When she saw my work husband,
- 55:05Speaker 1: she tried to get the other man to leave, but
- 55:07Speaker 1: he kept done, cursing her out. My work husband stepped
- 55:10Speaker 1: right in and almost got into a fight with the man,
- 55:13Speaker 1: but the security guard separated them. She never told them
- 55:17Speaker 1: who this guy is or why he was so angry.
- 55:20Speaker 1: She is very dangerous. Should we keep trying to help
- 55:23Speaker 1: him or should we stay out of this? Now? I
- 55:26Speaker 1: know you know the answer to this. You got to
- 55:29Speaker 1: stay out of this. This is not your business. How
- 55:31Speaker 1: is this your business? Just leave this one alone. You
- 55:36Speaker 1: said it best. He's just whipped right now, He's just whipped.
- 55:39Speaker 1: He's got to work through that on his own. When
- 55:41Speaker 1: he's ready to fight physically, fight for someone like this.
- 55:45Speaker 1: His feelings run deep for her. If this girl is
- 55:48Speaker 1: trashed like you say, he wouldn't be able to see
- 55:51Speaker 1: it anyway if you told him so. Don't risk your
- 55:54Speaker 1: friendship over her. Okay, the truth will come out about
- 55:57Speaker 1: her eventually, and when it does, that's when you, guys,
- 56:00Speaker 1: stand by your so called work husband, because he will
- 56:04Speaker 1: need a shoulder on which to vent. Then. As for you,
- 56:07Speaker 1: I just say, you know, mind your business, stay out
- 56:11Speaker 1: of this stuff. Let's you know that's them. You got
- 56:14Speaker 1: a husband of your own to deal with, and I
- 56:17Speaker 1: even would tone down the work husband thing in front
- 56:20Speaker 1: of your own husband. They might be friends now and
- 56:22Speaker 1: he might be cool with it now, but I just say,
- 56:24Speaker 1: leave that stuff at work and leave you and your husband.
- 56:28Speaker 1: Leave this other couple alone, and stay out of their business.
- 56:31Speaker 1: I don't think it's gonna do you any good, Steve.
- 56:34Speaker 1: I don't want to respond to this with them. Think ridiculous.
- 56:36Speaker 1: I think it is a waste of time. Did an
- 56:38Speaker 1: adequate job, Shelly. It's nothing we could do. I don't
- 56:41Speaker 1: even care. I just don't. I'm not even gonna waste
- 56:44Speaker 1: my time on this letter. I'm not gonna break it
- 56:46Speaker 1: down and none of that. I'm not first of all,
- 56:49Speaker 1: this work wife, work husband thing. What y'all doing now?
- 56:53Speaker 1: He counseling the dude? He liked this woman, She trash,
- 56:56Speaker 1: she flirted with all his men, getting cussed out at
- 56:59Speaker 1: the rental office, Your husband finning getting the fight. This
- 57:01Speaker 1: is ignorant right here. Why y'all in it? Why y'all
- 57:05Speaker 1: in here? Grown answer? Man? He want to marry let him? Man, huh,
- 57:09Speaker 1: he don't see it? He will. I'm through? What else
- 57:13Speaker 1: you want to talk about? Day? We're going on, junior man, Mississippi.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Everything now, I ain't giving a letter nor more. Damn
- 57:21Speaker 1: time my whole next break, we can do something else.
- 57:24Speaker 1: I'm not gonna deal with this right here. And because
- 57:26Speaker 1: it's track, I'm too old for this. I ain't got
- 57:29Speaker 1: no time for this man about that life. I got
- 57:32Speaker 1: to worry about one question, though, Steve, What about the
- 57:35Speaker 1: fact that he wanted to fight for her? He was
- 57:38Speaker 1: gonna jump on this guy that was cursing her out
- 57:40Speaker 1: her husband. Okay, look, I can understand a man being honorable.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Uh huh. You know you know it was one of
- 57:47Speaker 1: my white's friends is somewhere and I walk in and
- 57:49Speaker 1: dude be CUsing her out. I'm I'm gonna try to
- 57:51Speaker 1: slow it down, you know. Now, you know as long
- 57:56Speaker 1: af you if you if you're hitting hard, then I'm
- 57:58Speaker 1: gonna jump in. I'm jump on because I'm not gonna
- 58:01Speaker 1: sit here and watch a man be the woman. That's
- 58:03Speaker 1: not what I'm gonna do. But if y'all customed in
- 58:06Speaker 1: og and then that's my special, it's custom. So I'm
- 58:10Speaker 1: gonna jump in. Now I can go with you with
- 58:14Speaker 1: this custom. H So we're just gonna be in here custom.
- 58:17Speaker 1: But we ain't got to fight, you know, And that's
- 58:20Speaker 1: just it. What's the next question you want? Because I'm
- 58:22Speaker 1: not dealing with this left? Okay? All right, So you're
- 58:25Speaker 1: done with the letter? Yeah, I'm done. I'm really it
- 58:28Speaker 1: really don't make no sense. Everybody listen though this, yeah
- 58:31Speaker 1: it is. I got no advice for him. Ain't got
- 58:33Speaker 1: no advice for you, y'all in that time my work wife,
- 58:35Speaker 1: work or work husband, y'all still just leave it alone. Yeah,
- 58:39Speaker 1: you already have a real husband. Ain't y'all got enough problem? Y'all?
- 58:45Speaker 1: You're married, y'all, ain't got enough going on between the
- 58:48Speaker 1: two of you to add what's going on with this
- 58:51Speaker 1: fool and this here for he ain't even married, man, please,
- 58:55Speaker 1: but he really loves her though, or has strong feelings
- 58:59Speaker 1: for this woman. Though he's going all out for her.
- 59:03Speaker 1: That ain't love. That's you in lust. Lust. But if
- 59:08Speaker 1: he's fighting, if he's fighting for your husband, hey, work,
- 59:14Speaker 1: I said, it's okay for him to try to defend
- 59:17Speaker 1: the woman's honor, but now it's almost getting in the
- 59:20Speaker 1: fight with herd that about what all they was doing
- 59:23Speaker 1: was cussing. If I walk in and we cussing. Oh,
- 59:27Speaker 1: he was yelling at her and then cussing her out.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Remember the time you try to go without cussing for
- 59:32Speaker 1: a day. That worked for by what ten minutes? Yeah? Man, man, man,
- 59:39Speaker 1: I had attention headache. All right. See when we come back,
- 59:43Speaker 1: we have a we have a more call. We have
- 59:46Speaker 1: another call for you, anything, anything, but we are you
- 59:51Speaker 1: doing this letter? All right? Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve.
- 59:55Speaker 1: We'll come back at twenty three minutes after the hour,
- 59:57Speaker 1: and uh, we'll take another voicemail for deep right after this.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Steve. Today's Strawberry letter. The
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: subject is she's got him fighting for her. Let's recap
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: it and just let the people know you're mad about
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: this letter, you're upset. I'm not already saying I'm not
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: doing this. I'm not already saying I'm not because everybody
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: got no time for now. We'd have done recap the
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: man sitting up in the hill. The guy would have
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Lady that's kind of got like tendency, you know, goden
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: to tendasee that he he whipped over, and her workhoods
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: and you know, not her man down there all be
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: fighting over this help of this getting cussed out. But
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: the woman who wrote in wants to know should she
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: stay out of it? Because she and her real husband
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: see things in this woman. They think she's dangerous and
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: all of that. So she wants to know should they
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: keep trying to help her work husband or should they
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: stay out of it. That's the issue to that. So
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: now I'm doing that for the podcast. So why are
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: you being immature and crazy today? So put that on
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: the podcast? So stefe stop now, don't say that, all right,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: do it right? Come on now, I'm just done it right,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I'm telling you this. I'm just as an ignorant ass
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: letter and we spend it too much time on this Hill.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: It's your birthday, Shirley. We should be celebrating your life,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: and well, let me tie this to your birthday. Then
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: it's what you want. You want to see mc gift.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: This is what I do for a living, my coworking.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I have a strong bond. That's me and Shirley and
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Sherley's what you call my work wife now, and I'm
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Shirley's work husband and my real wife. They talk often.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Since my work husband is dating a scandal this woman. Now,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: this is why I got to get out this. Damn
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: let him. Yes, he too. I'm not dating a scandalous woman.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: But when Shirley first got the job, I thought she
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: was scandalous. It just she turned out she was because
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: she tried to keep her job by wearing h these
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: afro puffs in this tight left dress. So so not
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: surely you had afp No one during that time in
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: two thousand was wearing afropups, Steve, And that's what I said.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: I never wore afropups, That's what I said. That's why
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: I didn't know how you thought that was gonna work
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: on me. You're coming to work with them, the afro
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: puffs stuff. Anyway. Uh, she's a big flirt and likes
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: to make eye contact with men. Now, surely don't flirt,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: but she do make eye contact even by accident because
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: them eyes is out her head by as far as
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: they could be. Shirley always make an icon tech. And
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: then my husband peeped in too and said she always
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: does too much around him. And so anyway, man, that
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: was a man in the office yelling at her one time,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: and when she saw my work husband, she tried to
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: get the other man lead, but he kept cursing her out,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: and my work husband stepped up, almost got into a
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: fight with the end. Yeah, I mean and the obvious.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Should we stay out of it or just keep trying
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: to help him? Yes, you should stay out of it. No,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you shouldn't try to help him. Yeah, the end. All right,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I think we have time if you want to move on. Now,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: are you done? Thank you anything? All right? You know what?
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: We have a call. We have a call. Someone left
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: your a voicemail from Detroit, mister Patterson. Let's hear it, Hey, Steve,

- 1:04:39Speaker 1: when I get there, I was gonna tell everybody about it.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: And so that's a promise I have to keep. I

- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I wouldn't be nothing, and then I would start my show.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I've always been that way because I'm always asked God
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: to let me make it now, and especially Detroit special
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: city to me. It was my my favorite city to
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: perform in. Of all my cities, it's always been Detroit.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Now let me say this about you. Wishing I was
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: a preacher. That probably ain't a real good idea of
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Brother Pat because I you know, I'm serving the Lord.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I'm an army. I'm a soldier in the army for Christ.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: But I got a different role. Preachers are in the ministry.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: You got the nurses, guil, you got the usher boy,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: you got choir members, you got you know, people that
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: work in the child in all types of ways. Those
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: are all roles in the army. Some people but drive
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: a church fan transport, some people on the nurses kill

- 1:07:26Speaker 1: we ain't getting. Jimmy g needs a new team. It
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: made the announcement yesterday by Kyle Shanahan. He made it

- 1:07:38Speaker 1: If you don't know where you want to play next,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Jimmy G. I would offer to Houston, Texas. Have your
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: agent called Houston and we could use you this season
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: at least we could be competitive. He's not going to Houston.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Why he can't. Fuck he ain't got no job now, No,

- 1:08:54Speaker 1: from Brooklyn. He said he loves the team the way
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: it is right now. You know you don't care. Nobody
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: supposed to say. He don't want to lose his book. Yeah,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: if Katie do come, you ain't gonna you're gonna turn
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: him down. No, you're not. You're not. You ain't gonna
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: have Jalen a whole lot of nobody and Katie, thank you,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: thank you for that report. All right, coming up at
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: the top of the hour. If you're sick this parents
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: are sick of having to feed their daughter's boyfriend. They'll
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: talk about that. We'll talk about that when we come back.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: It's a it's a request from Facebook, Steve right after
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: this you're listening show, all right, So Steve, here's the
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: question that we saw on Facebook. It says, my sixteen
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: year old daughter has been dating a kid from school
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: for the past six months and he's cool. The problem is, now,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: you know, we all know it's summer and they're out
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: of school. He's always at the house. I mean, like
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: from eight am to like ten him sometimes later, which
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: means we wind up having to feed him all his
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: meals unless they should maybe they'll go out for an
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: evening or something. I don't mind feeding him once in
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: a while, but food costs a lot these days, and
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: we can't really afford to keep feeding him. I told
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: my daughter that he either has to come buy less
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: or maybe bring his own food now and again, and
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: she got mad, telling me I was being cheap and unsupportive.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: This boy is eating us out of house and home.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: I mean, at this point, his parents should be paying me.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: I feed him so much. So the question is, Steve,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: what would you do? And how did they get this
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: boy to stay home? Sometimes? First of all, it's certain
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: days you can't come over here. We're gonna we're gonna
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: get this bell back down to normal, okay, and we're
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: gonna have some visitation out And you're sixteen, y'all, real food.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: You can't y'all all day what they're doing all damn days.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: You don't think nothing on his mind all day long,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: and you couldn't a lot. That's right here. That's why
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: over there all day all night. No, man, you ain't
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: coming over here. And can come over here on Saturday
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: and wins now doing the summer we got in. Then
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: they may go somewhere in the evening here, you mean
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: they may go somewhere in eat, go out for the
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: evening or something. To be careful, y'all, showing your age
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: for trying to show guidance and yeah, and things like that,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: but you're not bringing your ass over here all day
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: every day. And the daughter remembers said that they were
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: being cheap and unsupportive. She said that to her parents. Well,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: I tell you what, you split your food with it
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: because we're making three plates here. Yeah, because she got mad? Man, Yeah,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: you know the daughter got mad. Do you know I
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: wasn't even loud to get mad. We couldn't do at
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: our parents. Oh I'd be mad. But you just spect
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: to keep to yourself. I hear you in that blowing Shoot.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: What did you say? Shoot? Roll your eyes again, bro,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: that's the one I got all the time. Roll your
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: eyes again one more time? What's you in that quiet? Fault? That?
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Thank you? Let me give you something to think about
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Ben not being that thinking about me and your daddy. So, yeah,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: this is crazy. So you're saying he can only come
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: over one day a week, man, A couple of days
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: a week, that's it. We got put some restrictions on
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: I know, every day boundaries. But you know you know
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna get his parents involved in this. Yeah, that's right,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: that's right. You sixteen without a summer job. Where is
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: your job? When I had it, I had to be
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: at work get me or my girlfriend. I was every day.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: I've had job since our thirteen years. Yeah. Any high
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: school memories, see when you were a teenager dating a
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: girl in high school? Anything? He had a whole a
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: bunch of familures. I have no success stories, all failures,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: lack of what's the longest you dating in high school?
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Probably about four weeks a month a month? Yea, it was?
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: And why'd you break up? Why'd you break up? Oh?
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: I usually had something to do with money. You heard earlier. Yeah,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: well you know money. You don't have a flat tiwer,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: couldn't couldn't buy it, glue to fix the flat that
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: broke up one relationship? You know, a girl gonna ask
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: me go to the movies, had me paid for and

- 1:18:25Speaker 1: not doing that one of them. You gotta pick one.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: I'd rather stall work refrigerator or strangers leftover man on
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: their plate in a restaurant at a restaurant refrigerat And
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I saw a dude eating off of a room service
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: trade in the hallway. Wars no, no oh. I watched
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: them set there and some burger left. He picked up

- 1:19:36Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: here we are our last break of the day on
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: this Thursday. It's been a good day. Thank you guys
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: for your well wishes, for your birthday wishes. I appreciate
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: it very much. Yeah, thank you. It was fun, fun
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: today hanging out. You want to make you want to
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: make a speech on this great day. I do not
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: thank you. I just want to say thank you, thank you.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: It's always good, you know, to get a year older.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: People think that, you know, they don't want to get older,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: but consider the alternative, you know, And I'm grateful for
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: every single year, you know, I'm grateful for you guys.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: I appreciate you. We started the show saying we were family,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: and we are family. I love each and every one
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: of you, Um, Steve Geez. Twenty two years, that's a
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: very very long time. Learned so much from you, Um,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: you know, just and I'm grateful just to have a
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: job that I love and to have a career that
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I love and work with people that I admire, respect
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: and love. So thank you for all of that. I
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: appreciate it. I didn't but you asked me none of well.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: I was trying to give you time to do your
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: closing remark. But you know what, in closing, you know,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: I wanted to say something kind of on the heels
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: or something that you all weren't privot to this conversation
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: we he was having off the air. But saw a
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: disturbing video this morning. I couldn't sleep and it was
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: a pastor. I don't have to say his name, but
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: his whole sermon was degrading celebrities. And you know, I
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: guess because I happened to be a celebrity, I kind
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: of was a little biased, and I felt like, you know,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: who is this guy? But as I listened closely, to
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: what he was saying. It wouldn't have mattered who he
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: was talking about for me to find a fence with it.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: And this was a man up in a poolpit, and
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: I mean he was talking about all the celebrities, all
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: the other ministers, and I just found no redeeming anything
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: for me as a person who was trying to find
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Christ or trying to find some type of peace or
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: comfort in a message coming from a pulpit. And it
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: just made me realize, man, how in tune you have
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: to be with the facts and the truth that you
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: know it for yourself, because if you're not careful, man,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: you could be swayed by other people. It is amazing, man,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: the things look man, the stuff that your grandmother was
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: teaching you and you was growing up. It was nothing
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: wrong with that. You know. We're getting in a part
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: of an age right now where we have to be
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: open to what everybody's saying, or else we'll consider it
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: not to be politically correct. I disagree with that line
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: of thinking, but I don't think you have to go
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: along with everything everybody says to be accepted. I don't
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: care you just don't accept me, while me and you
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: just staying out our neutral corners. You know, man, maybe
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: me and you don't sink and jib And it's okay.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: You don't have to sink and jib with everybody. You
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: don't have to agree with everybody, you don't have to
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: go along with everybody. You don't have to go along
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: with everything. You know, I'm not upset with the young
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: lady that called in on the voice. Ellen was upset
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: talking about this new concept they had. What's the concept called,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Shirley Oh, ethical non monogamy, Ethical non monogamy. Well, what
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: actually happened was a person that called in and said,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: there's dating sites out now where people can go on
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: and it's called ethical nonmonogamy, where you can go on
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: and admit that you're married, and if a person wants
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: to see you, then you all can have consensual relationship.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: What was said though in our letter was that the
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: other person that was on the other end of the
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: relationship they may not know about it. Let's say your
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: husband goes on this website and says I'm married, anybody
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: won't see me anyway, and somebody goes, well, yeah, I'll
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: date you, And we were saying that that's cheating. Well,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: the young girl called in and said that you all
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: are showing your age again because this is a new term.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: This is what people are doing. Well, we know that's
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: what people are doing. This call cheating, and this is
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: an old term. It's called swinging. But swinging was when
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: couples went and had a consensual relationship for another couple.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: This particular site was this One particular person wanted to
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: to sign up for this site and not tell their
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: wife or their spouse that they were on the site.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: But this girl was defending it. Listen, y'all, just because
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: it's new and it's the way things are being done
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: right now, it don't It don't have to be right
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: for you. You ain't got to go along with it.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Because this is new, And I got news for y'all.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: It ain't nothing new. This stuff's been going on, man,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: for a century, thousands of years. You ain't new. Sweeping
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: around ain't new, Cheating ain't new. Swinging ain't new. I
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: don't worship ain't new. Being fooled by false prophets ain't new.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: People standing in the poor pitch if you and information
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: that ain't got nothing to do with your salvation or
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: your better men on earth. That ain't new, y'all. I
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: know you think we're old, but old comes with something
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: that you can't get when you ain't old. It's called experience,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: and I wouldn't trade it, man. And like I've said
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: a thousand times, as a saying that says, experience is priceless,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: it's a shame. You have to pay forward with your youth. Look, man,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: know who you are to that own self be true,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: and you ain't got to go along with everything that
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: come along. If it ain't for you, it ain't for you.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: If you don't want to get higher, they legalized weed.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: You if you don't smoke it, you ain't got to
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: smoke it. Alcohol is legal. If you don't want to drink,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: you ain't got a drink, man, do you strip clubs
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: is open. You ain't got to be a stripper. Listen
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: to me. Quit going along with everything because he's new
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: and somebody has started doing it. You ain't got to
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: do that. Know yourself. Gotta get in touch with God, man,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: and let him help you understand who you are because
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: He made you to be you and not everybody else.
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: Those are my clothes. Boy, Hey, listen to talk to God.
