- 0:00What's going on, everybody? My name is Bobo.
- 0:03Welcome back to your Bug Pusters podcast. I'm
- 0:06surrounded by my fun loving co -hosts. How's
- 0:08it going? Happy New Year. First episode of the
- 0:12new year. I do apologize I haven't been in the
- 0:16studio. I've had a lot of family stuff, a lot
- 0:19of stuff going on the last few episodes. Unfortunately,
- 0:26every weekend we had... different sets of family
- 0:28come up. My dad's side came up one weekend. My
- 0:31mom's side came up one weekend. An uncle I haven't
- 0:34seen for a while came up last weekend. It's like,
- 0:36man, I haven't been here for three weeks and
- 0:38I feel bad. Well, we didn't record a lot. We
- 0:40haven't recorded in three weeks. Well, I'm saying
- 0:43prior. Yeah. I think you only missed two. I thought
- 0:45you missed three. I think we recorded three in
- 0:48a row because we knew we were going to take like
- 0:49two and three weeks. I think that's what it is.
- 0:51I missed the two in a row. Yeah. Yeah. Hope you
- 0:55all had it. Very safe and happy new year. It'll
- 0:57be a lot of nice holidays. Yeah, got fresh heads
- 1:03on the new year and ready to start this. My head's
- 1:06not fresh. What are you talking about? What are
- 1:08you talking about, Lois? This is the fifth year
- 1:10of the Buckwester podcast. Oh yeah. Yeah? I can
- 1:15make you all feel a little less awesome than
- 1:16the other days. We are now just as close to 2030
- 1:18as we are to 2020. It's been five years since
- 1:222020. Does that even feel real? I mean kind of
- 1:26sordid because COVID felt like 27 years in itself.
- 1:29Honestly, yeah. I feel like... 2020 alone was
- 1:33like... I still see people walking around with
- 1:35masks on. So do I. It's been done for two years
- 1:38now. Well, they say someone from the CDC, someone
- 1:43who makes a fuck ton more money than I do...
- 1:45says that if you walk around with the mask, it's
- 1:49still a good preventative to getting stuff like
- 1:52the flu, and you're calm and cold. So a lot of
- 1:55people are starting to wear more and more masks.
- 1:58What I don't do is cough and get cold, and people
- 2:00still think, oh, you should go get tested for
- 2:02COVID. I'm a janitor for a kindergarten. I mean,
- 2:04that would be just my luck to get COVID in 2025.
- 2:08I've been tested twice for COVID already. Think
- 2:11that when it was a thing because I worked in
- 2:13restaurants, you know always you know always
- 2:15interacting with customers always interacting
- 2:16with other co -workers I came to the contact.
- 2:19I Think it was I had to get it tested. I think
- 2:21a total of ten times and I never once Yeah, I
- 2:24do where you were I? Know I gotta get tested
- 2:30again. Well, that's how it is with teachers in
- 2:32the little kindergartners It's like they the
- 2:35parents will send their kids to school sick as
- 2:38a dog And it's like, oh, they say they're sick.
- 2:41Oh, you're just lying. And yet, they throw up.
- 2:43And they have to go home at 10 AM. So you can't
- 2:45believe you got sick at school. Like, I told
- 2:47you I was fucking sick. Yeah. Kids all smiling,
- 2:50fucking cute, staying like the Joker. I told
- 2:53you so. You want to know why I got these scars?
- 2:57It's because I threw up too much because you
- 2:59sent me to school. Hey, mom. I'm sick. The nurse.
- 3:07Crazy thing that we're already halfway through
- 3:10the 20s the 20s already Youngest person here
- 3:15is the year 25 years old. So I mean 23rd is gonna
- 3:19be a lot of fun And also we're also just as close
- 3:23to 2050 as we are 22 ,000 It's crazy Yeah back
- 3:32in studio new ish studio just a different different
- 3:35room in the same studio that we've been recording
- 3:37in yeah if that makes sense different room with
- 3:40a different layout yeah but i think it's gonna
- 3:42work out pretty well i think we got the mic set
- 3:44up and everything here looking pretty good and
- 3:46sounding pretty good so a bunch of tests and
- 3:49uh hopefully you guys like it the new setup and
- 3:51uh yeah bounce right into talking about some
- 3:57some football i'm just kidding some hockey uh
- 4:00when we start some football this might get pretty
- 4:02vulgar yeah well it's gonna get vulgar regardless
- 4:05because of a situation that happens here we go
- 4:07it's just tears at this point i'll say one thing
- 4:14though like colin was right he's been nagging
- 4:17not nagging but just saying it for years oh no
- 4:18he's been nagging it's not saying he's at this
- 4:21point he's just been saying it for years now
- 4:23that to mike bellman wasn't the answer but he
- 4:25was and that he sucks and that he needs to go
- 4:26you know boba i haven't cried for the first four
- 4:28and a half minutes i'm gonna say something now
- 4:29i wasn't nagging go fuck yourself okay this is
- 4:32the first time i've talked to him all episode
- 4:38Wasn't nagging Nagging is only nagging is like
- 4:44for like forcing it or like, you know Constant
- 4:51but it was just every time it came up in conversation
- 4:53which obviously you're gonna talk about it Oh,
- 4:56yeah, but I told Colin Like halfway through the
- 4:59season we're like nine and three. I was getting
- 5:01cocky. I was getting hyped up I was like, let's
- 5:02fucking go this this could be the year He was
- 5:04oh, you know, we're just gonna go to the plus
- 5:06I'm losing the first round anyways, right? I'm
- 5:07like, I'm like We'll see what happens, you know,
- 5:10I didn't think it was gonna happen and I took
- 5:12home I said, you know Colin I'll tell you right
- 5:14now if the Seals don't win at least one playoff
- 5:16game I will shut the fuck up and never defend
- 5:18Mike Tomlin again, and I will tell you were right
- 5:20and guess what happened It's it's been I I've
- 5:24just given up on him for a couple years now.
- 5:27It seems like it's like a routine, like a carousel,
- 5:32a carousel of student season. You know, we make
- 5:35a couple big pickups, you know, we start off
- 5:37the season hot, you know, go 9 -3, you know,
- 5:408 -4, whatever. I think this past off -season,
- 5:41one of our best off -seasons we've had in years.
- 5:43Yeah, we have these great off -seasons, we make
- 5:46that, we pick up these great, you know, big acquisitions.
- 5:48Obviously this past off -season being, you know,
- 5:51Russell and Justin. In the field, Deshaun Elliott,
- 5:54um, defensive guy, Patrick Queen. Yeah, and then
- 5:58we start off fucking fantastic, you know, 9 -3,
- 6:018 -4, whatever. And then... You know, as soon
- 6:04as Thanksgiving rolls around, as soon as the
- 6:07month of December rolls around, January, that's
- 6:10just when they start going downhill. And it's
- 6:13like, okay, great, here we go again! Instead
- 6:17of here we go to Steele, it's here we go again!
- 6:20Here we go, again, bar fist! We've lost the last
- 6:25four games of the regular season. I mean, all
- 6:27very tough matchups to begin with, which is why
- 6:30it wasn't... I wasn't all that worried, really.
- 6:33I mean, we know how to beat Baltimore. We've
- 6:34beaten Baltimore before. We've beaten them in
- 6:36Baltimore before. We did it this year. I think
- 6:40this year was the first time the Ravens have
- 6:42beaten us in like four years or something like
- 6:44that that I saw. They lost four times to fucking
- 6:48Kenny Pickett. Three times to Kenny Pickett once
- 6:51to fucking Mitch Trubinsky. But then they can
- 6:54go ahead and beat Ross or Wilson? I don't know.
- 7:01The lease that's right. I thought I texted the
- 7:04Gertrude and said I said guys, this is how Maple
- 7:06Leaf fans feel Fuck man said they will at least
- 7:12the Maple Leafs can fucking win a playoff game,
- 7:15but anyways Enough talking about football. Let's
- 7:17move on to the sport that we know a little bit
- 7:20about in hockey Otter's hockey specifically one
- 7:24main thing that we want to talk about here in
- 7:26a minute But we'll talk about how they have done
- 7:29since we took our break So the record says we
- 7:33took our break. That's the day, if, well we were
- 7:37there, I think we recorded after the London game.
- 7:41Yeah, we, that's the time we recorded was on
- 7:44there. The 23rd, I believe. It was like the Sunday
- 7:46before Christmas. So 22nd. So again, you know,
- 7:51right after they started the holiday break. So
- 7:53the first game back would have been like Guelph
- 7:55game on the 28th. Yeah, four to two win over
- 7:58Guelph, five to four. New Year's Eve went over
- 8:01the Bulldogs. That's the game we had a nice comeback
- 8:03in. Yeah, because we were up two to one at one
- 8:07point going into the third. Then they had back
- 8:09-to -back goals and then we had three straight
- 8:11goals. One from Frasca, one from Alfie, and one
- 8:15from Royston. And then we start off the new year
- 8:18with two straight with back -to -back losses
- 8:20on back -to -back nights three to one to the
- 8:22Rangers and 75 75 7 to 5 to the Spitz I mean,
- 8:26that's kind of expected. I mean those are two
- 8:29to the top three teams in the league right now
- 8:30So I mean, I mean what else are you gonna expect
- 8:32from that? I think what was crazy about the Windsor
- 8:34one literally like five minutes in five minutes
- 8:37of the game three boom three unanswered goals
- 8:39from Erie and then me like Well, it was like
- 8:44it was what eight minutes into the game and already
- 8:45all four goaltenders had seen time. Yeah No,
- 8:49I it was 1326 the third Windsor goal was scored
- 8:53by being green three and that's when Noah got
- 8:56pulled in that Therefore charter came and be
- 8:59the fourth goaltender playing that game on the
- 9:01eighth of five before overtime went in Guelph
- 9:04And then this past weekend came home for another
- 9:07two more losses six to two to the spirit and
- 9:09five to three just last night the 11th to the
- 9:12state so yeah uh the thing that is fresh on our
- 9:16minds obviously everybody's heard about it by
- 9:19now even if you're not an otter fan or not an
- 9:22otter fan or not even an oil fan if you're a
- 9:24hockey fan in general you've heard about it kona
- 9:27mcdavid night kona mcdavid getting his number
- 9:3097 retired and thrown up into the rafters at
- 9:34the air insurance arena When it was that was
- 9:37turned out to be a really nice ceremony really
- 9:40nice ceremony just been way longer than we expected
- 9:42I think we predicted it to be maybe happy amount
- 9:44of time that yeah, the Ryan Miller one was it
- 9:46was actually right about 40 minutes and I think
- 9:50right now is like 45 50 so This is from the time
- 9:54from the time that they started like bringing
- 9:56everything out speaking to the time that they
- 9:58got everything off I think the game didn't even
- 10:00start until I think it's closer to eight o 'clock
- 10:02So but I'm right about that because we ever we
- 10:05I don't think we got home I didn't get home till
- 10:06it was 11 at night, so And I know a lot of people
- 10:10drove out from like Pittsburgh I know I heard
- 10:12that some people driving all the way up from
- 10:13like Georgia and like South Carolina Florida
- 10:16I heard I heard there were a couple people from
- 10:18Canada that made the trip down I could only assume
- 10:22that there's a bunch of oiler fans I tried I
- 10:24did see some Michigan fans because obviously
- 10:26Saginaw fans came in and out I saw a couple Saginaw
- 10:29fans do yeah Yeah, man Such an awesome night,
- 10:33man. I mean just I mean I made fun of my girlfriend
- 10:36a couple months ago when she was she went to
- 10:37one of the Taylor Swift concerts in Toronto or
- 10:39whatever She's like, oh my god. I'm 200 feet
- 10:42away from Taylor Swift. And now I was there and
- 10:43I was like, oh my god I'm 100 feet away from
- 10:45Conor McFadden. I kind of know how she felt in
- 10:49that moment. Holy shit, he's right there. Too
- 10:54bad his back was to us, but I mean, obviously
- 10:55you can see him on the... He made sure that he
- 10:59turned around and acknowledged people behind
- 11:01him too, so that was... Pretty awesome that he
- 11:03did that. He pretty much turned around and made
- 11:06sure he acknowledged the entire place. And he
- 11:09had made a joke. He goes, thanks for showing
- 11:10up. I didn't think that many people would be
- 11:12here. But just being here for that man was, or
- 11:16being there for that was. Once in a lifetime
- 11:18thing. It's incredible to see. I mean, that's
- 11:21a once in a lifetime player. A generation of
- 11:24talent. Like what Sean Baton said during the
- 11:27ceremonies, the Peter Rowe pizza. Gretzky era
- 11:32then Ramoushki with Sidney Crosby in the queue
- 11:37and then again with the OHL Conor McDavid with
- 11:40the Iriotters so I think it was kind of like
- 11:43we got a generational talent like Conor McDavid.
- 11:47The only one that I can see maybe from the W
- 11:49eventually doing that is Bedard but I think he
- 11:52needs I mean he's not a bad player he's not he
- 11:55just there's a lot more I think he needs to accomplish
- 11:56or he can accomplish. in the NHL. The amount
- 12:00he accomplished in the WHL alone I think is good
- 12:02enough to get his number retired there. He's
- 12:06a lot more to accomplish in the NHL so far though.
- 12:09He just needs to be on the team that knows how
- 12:10to win games basically. Also you've got to give
- 12:12it time. Look at Conrad in his early days. Look
- 12:16at Crosby in his early days. The early career
- 12:19at Edmonton or others. You know, with David's
- 12:23career, and then Penguin's early in Crosby's
- 12:26career, they both fucking sucked! I think Crosby's
- 12:30rookie year, I think we still finish like, ninth
- 12:32or tenth in the conference or something like
- 12:34that. Yeah, both teams fucking sucked, and look
- 12:36where they are now. I mean, obviously with David
- 12:38still doesn't have a ring on his finger. He'll
- 12:41get it. I mean, look at Crosby, you know, a couple
- 12:44seasons in, and he lost his first... There's
- 12:46not many players that you can say that have a
- 12:48Con Smythe but don't have a Stanley Cup. Can
- 13:15you see Bedard being one of the nice faces of
- 13:19the... He is one of the young faces. He's definitely
- 13:22one of the next faces of the league, for sure.
- 13:24This younger core, I mean, I could still consider
- 13:26all in the same era, you know, McDavid. But even
- 13:29Bedard can still be considered in the same era,
- 13:30I think. How the hell did he get in there? That
- 13:34scared me. The cat -given. Our unofficial mascot.
- 13:39McDavid, Matthews, Marner. Dry side old you you
- 13:44got you got the old older faces of the league
- 13:46and Ovi and Ovi and Crosby stroke. Go let's go
- 13:50Malkin Stamco's Tavares, you know those old guys
- 13:54The mid -tier guys the middle -aged men of you
- 13:58know, McDavid Matthews Marner and you got the
- 14:00young guys, you know, you got Who's the guy on
- 14:03San Jose? Celebrating so really you are dark
- 14:07like some of these younger guys who you know?
- 14:09came in post -COVID. You gotta think, you know,
- 14:18like, the way I see it, you've got like three
- 14:21decades of generations. Three generations all
- 14:24in our generation that we're watching right now,
- 14:26which is crazy. Yeah, so you've got the players
- 14:28who draft anywhere between 2000 and 09, the 09
- 14:32draft, which was Tavares' draft. I think Tveras'
- 14:35draft was the last one and then you got the 10
- 14:37through 19, which, like I said, includes Marner,
- 14:40Matthews, McKinnon, like those guys that, you
- 14:43know, are established but still have a long way
- 14:46to go. Another one that we just saw, I think
- 14:47it was this afternoon or last night that we saw,
- 14:49I didn't even know his number was getting retired,
- 14:51was Eric Staal. That's another one of that era.
- 14:54Yeah, he was 03, the same draft as Furia. Thinking
- 14:57what's second overall behind Flourie, I believe.
- 14:59I think what's kind of funny about McDavid's
- 15:02banner... How do we not mention Flourie when
- 15:04we were just talking about the greatest players
- 15:05of our generation? We're just so used to talking
- 15:08about him that everybody knows that he's... I
- 15:10think we're more focused on scanners than we
- 15:12care about Flourie. And with all due respect,
- 15:14yeah. I mean, we can't leave out the Flourie.
- 15:17Like, what's kind of funny, like, with McDavid's
- 15:21banner, like... I really thought about it last...
- 15:25like last week in last weekend's games against
- 15:28like Windsor now calling over kind of just hanging
- 15:31out by the glass for warm -ups that night and
- 15:34I'm like I'm like now I think about it like now
- 15:38I can see why they updated the because the banners
- 15:41because they updated on Vince Scott's banner
- 15:44and Brad Boyce and the guy and that was two years
- 15:48ago they issued two seasons because I remember
- 15:50I brought up to Kyle when we went to training
- 15:52camp I'm like, I noticed, I'm like, oh, they
- 15:55changed their banners. And then I'm like, now
- 15:59with, when they, after David got his announcement,
- 16:04I'm like, now it kind of makes sense why they
- 16:07updated them because they wanted to make them
- 16:09kind of all. That the pieces will finally come
- 16:12together and the gears are finally turning in
- 16:13our brand. It's like, oh, duh, that's, that's
- 16:16why they're out here. And then plus you think,
- 16:18plus even though we didn't know it for a while,
- 16:20like it was. in the works for a couple years,
- 16:23and it's just a matter of... We were just waiting
- 16:25for all the pieces to fall right into place,
- 16:26and... McDavid had to be able to have that time
- 16:29to make the trip up, and he just happened to
- 16:31be, you know, play the game in Pittsburgh Thursday
- 16:33night, and then he came to Chicago Saturday night,
- 16:35so it was literally just perfect to be able to
- 16:37drive up to Erie, and then make the trip over
- 16:38to Chicago the next morning, so... Yeah. He just
- 16:41made it perfectly into that, so... I mean, that
- 16:44whole night as a whole was just absolutely nostalgic.
- 16:47I mean, the jersey Jeffy's wearing that they
- 16:49got to wear for the game. I turned to them, I
- 16:51said, man, I said POV, it's 2013 and you're at
- 16:54the EAA watching the Eerie Otters and Connor
- 16:56McDavid. The golden hair, it's not considered
- 17:00in that way. Four straight seasons of 50 plus
- 17:03wins. I don't know, I mean, it's just so nostalgic
- 17:07to be there and watch them play with those jerseys.
- 17:10And it was kind of, honestly, a cool scene. The
- 17:13current guys, it's just kind of a cool scene
- 17:15of like... The person that I think fit the most
- 17:25in and I felt like was Pano. Pano really rocked
- 17:30that style of jersey. Obviously we wish the outcome
- 17:34of the game could have been a little bit better.
- 17:38I actually was telling Kyle at the game, I kind
- 17:41of... I'm hoping maybe in a few years daughters
- 17:44would consider this like I said bring that back
- 17:46as like an alternate bring as an alternate I
- 17:48said as much as I like the silver ones keep the
- 17:51keep the blue the white and the gold but have
- 17:54like as a throwback like a throwback secondary
- 17:57alternate either bring this one or want this
- 18:00version of the so the brad boys era yeah like
- 18:06colors I got like the gradient going up I really
- 18:11wish that number one that the OHL as a whole
- 18:14would do like a throwback jersey and have all
- 18:1720 teams do like a throwback jersey after dark
- 18:20jerseys. Oh any any jersey I should say. I think
- 18:27there's definitely a great opportunity or number
- 18:36two potentially have an outdoor style game. I
- 18:41know, I think, Kyle, I didn't know you brought
- 18:43this up on Twitter, about doing it at the UTS,
- 18:47or at UPMC, right next door. I didn't say it,
- 18:50somebody else said it, but I said, I still don't
- 18:52know how I can see them fitting an ice rink on
- 18:55that field, just with the way it's laid out,
- 18:57and plus the seating too, just, with how the
- 18:59seating is in that stadium, like, it would be
- 19:01hard to make it happen there. Outfield. doing
- 19:04it in the outfield, and then obviously you got
- 19:06the cheaper seats in the normal seats of the
- 19:09bowls, and then the more expensive seats you
- 19:11can get up closer to where the rink is. And even
- 19:16on the other side, obviously you got the normal
- 19:18maintenance stuff inside the EIA right there,
- 19:21and the access in the outfield, center field.
- 19:23Bring shit around, guess what? Right on the ice,
- 19:26do your normal thing. Even if they had to go
- 19:30travel out of the movement way, if they wanted
- 19:31to make it work, go to like PNC or something.
- 19:34Even if they would make, even if they would do
- 19:36like a lot of companies like rent bleachers,
- 19:40even if they pay a company to rent X amount of
- 19:44bleachers to go set up the night before the game,
- 19:47you know, clean them out, tear them down the
- 19:49night after. and then that way they can fit everybody
- 19:52in the baseball they can fit everybody in that
- 19:54stands you have good views 360 degrees whether
- 19:58you're against eia whether you're in the outfield
- 20:01towards the back in the skyline whether you're
- 20:04in the actual seats they can have bleachers they
- 20:06can put it on like a tee so yeah but you have
- 20:09a set of bleachers going north you have a set
- 20:11of bleachers coming west and they just make a
- 20:14tee no no no no no hear me out here in london
- 20:19You travel up to Buffalo, play at Highmark Field
- 20:23or wherever the football stadium is. The Battle
- 20:26of Lake Erie. Right there. Where they meet paths.
- 20:29That would be cool. Even Lake Erie and Niagara.
- 20:32Cause Niagara's right there in the lake too.
- 20:34That would be cool. Or have like a three way
- 20:38or a... a three -way game or a four -way game.
- 20:40Yeah, say reword that. You can try again. Three
- 20:46teams do a round robin or even do a four -team
- 20:49round robin. If there's another team, you have
- 20:51Niagara, you have London, you have Erie, if there's
- 20:53another team right there. That's known by Hamilton,
- 20:55I'd say. Or Brantford now, but Brantford. What
- 20:58were some of the places we passed on the way
- 21:01up to Toronto? Niagara, London. Niagara, London,
- 21:04Brampton. Brampton, Brantford. Brantford. Mississauga.
- 21:09Well, Mississauga. Peterborough is not too far
- 21:11out of Toronto. Well, Mississauga. Peterborough
- 21:12would be on the other side of Toronto. I think
- 21:14it's up north, but it's not too far out of Toronto.
- 21:16Yeah, it's on the other side of Toronto from
- 21:18my side. I feel like if you were between, you
- 21:20know, us of London and Buffalo or Toronto, south
- 21:24of Toronto kind of thing. Colin and I both saw
- 21:26signs for both Mississauga and what was the other
- 21:31city Kyle just said? Brantford, Hamilton. We
- 21:35both saw Asada's, but they were way... We see
- 21:39that they can make it work for any level. I mean,
- 21:41college in the Big Ten, college just did it.
- 21:43They played at, what was it, Ohio Stadium? What
- 21:46did they play? I thought it was Notre Dame. Or
- 21:47was it Wrigley? It was Wrigley. Wrigley. They
- 21:49played at Wrigley. I think it was Penn State,
- 21:50Notre Dame, which ironically ended up being the
- 21:52championship that Penn State lost, fucking Notre
- 21:54Dame. And I think it was Michigan and Ohio State
- 21:57as well. And it ended up being really cool. I
- 21:59mean, I'm watching a little bit of... The Ohio
- 22:01State one. What if they would even do it at like
- 22:05Mercyhurst College or like Gannon University?
- 22:08We don't have the field capacity for that. I
- 22:11mean, unless if you do it somewhere like Vett
- 22:13Stadium, which Vett Stadium needs a lot of work.
- 22:17The field itself is nice, just the stands itself.
- 22:20I see where you're coming from. That's what I
- 22:22was thinking, like a big college like Gannon.
- 22:24Gannon has like 7 ,500 person capacity. It's
- 22:28like that would be kind of cool to get everybody
- 22:30downtown here because I'm what happens you bring
- 22:32in business Get a drink downtown here everybody
- 22:35give us some local bars You all the sudden all
- 22:38these bars don't sell start selling what merchandise
- 22:40you start? That area along with just yeah, I
- 22:45don't think it'd be nice to try to give it a
- 22:47shot, but also Also that you're gonna face this
- 22:52problem, you know regardless of where you go,
- 22:54but it's Gannon vets. Whatever I know Eerie isn't
- 22:58the best at parking. And as soon as you go to
- 23:01the A .A. or the ballpark where there are garages
- 23:06there, good fucking luck. There's a couple parking
- 23:11garages right downtown. There's one right in
- 23:15the hospital right there. There's one right in
- 23:18the hospital. There's one. There's one for your
- 23:20insurance. And there's one right under your insurance.
- 23:22So it's like, make it five dollar event parking.
- 23:25Well, which is kind of what it is right now.
- 23:28Well still you you get people in there and then
- 23:31make it, you know You can have people We definitely
- 23:36have the weapons if you want to say we definitely
- 23:39have the puzzle the pieces for it Yeah, just
- 23:41putting the puzzle together to make it happen
- 23:44It'd be very difficult. Yeah. How I know we say,
- 23:47you have the piece of the puzzle dumped on the
- 23:49floor. You just have to take the time to figure
- 23:51out, put it together. And it would take quite
- 23:53a while. Like we're talking about a thousand
- 23:55piece puzzle here. I actually fucking liked it.
- 23:59To make it happen here, we've got a thousand
- 24:02piece puzzle here. Yeah. And it's just, we have
- 24:05pieces in the corner, the cat took a couple of
- 24:07the pieces. The dog ate the piece, you have to
- 24:10dig out a pile of poop. You might not have the
- 24:16best moments, the smartest moments, but when
- 24:19you do, oh my god, they work. They work. Going
- 24:26back to it, 15 minute sidetrack there. The Outers
- 24:33game on Friday night, like I said, I wish we
- 24:35had a better outcome, man. I wish we had better
- 24:37refs in the OHL. Yeah, I was going to say, you
- 24:39know what the hope is? The fucking officiating
- 24:41crews getting their shit together. for those
- 24:43others fans that don't know um the situation
- 24:45with ty hendry getting suspended i still don't
- 24:48think they have that was pretty hysterical i
- 25:01was laughing my butt off it's it's ridiculous
- 25:04at this point apparently this is all from what
- 25:06i saw and what a lot of other people said they
- 25:08saw too time every had someone went over and
- 25:10said something to one of the linesman which they
- 25:12believe it was the female linesman and she must
- 25:17not have liked it she went and told the head
- 25:18head almost a head hump the head ref which he
- 25:22then he pretty much gave her the okay and she
- 25:25sent him off and he was done for the night so
- 25:28i don't know what was said obviously they never
- 25:30released what happened was and they would say
- 25:32Suspended for his actions in this such -and -such
- 25:35game. They never say exactly what happened or
- 25:37exactly what was done like they do in the NHL
- 25:40Oh, you know so -and -so was suspended for six
- 25:43games for his cross -check to the head on so
- 25:45-and -so, you know They just say oh suspended
- 25:47for his actions in this game. They don't tell
- 25:48you they never tell you exactly what he did in
- 25:50the NHL They don't and I would think it's stupid
- 25:53I feel like just like I think it's stupid how
- 25:55they don't share when a player is injured Which
- 25:58I understand that, especially if it's like the
- 26:0016, 17 year olds. I think they can make it a
- 26:02difference between the 16, 17 year olds and then
- 26:05the adults, the 18 year old players, you know.
- 26:09Especially the over -agers? I feel like it was
- 26:12for the minors, like if their parents are like,
- 26:15yeah whatever, we all sign off on this and you
- 26:16can release whatever info. He's a professional
- 26:18now. That's one point, but if you get no permission
- 26:22slip or whatever you want to call it as, then
- 26:24no. You're kind of you're kind of asshole out
- 26:27there man. The thing that this man was like that
- 26:29with time being suspended But you know a couple
- 26:31weeks ago might have been closer like two months
- 26:33there was It was thought or heard of that one
- 26:39of Erie's games in Kitchener I saw One of Erie's
- 26:44games, I think it was in Erie we played Kitchener.
- 26:45Yeah it's still pending. Well it says game with
- 26:48conduct and parentheses. Some will be there's
- 26:50one or two Kitchener players that everybody thought
- 26:53they had overheard Racial slurs being thrown
- 26:55at Ty Henry. Ty Henry, out of anger, slams his
- 26:58stick on the glass going into the penalty box
- 27:00because he had gotten the penalty for something.
- 27:02Apparently his penalty kitchen didn't like, they
- 27:05screamed some obscenities at him. He got pissed
- 27:08off about it and I think he ended up getting
- 27:09thrown out of that game as well. Number one,
- 27:12racial slurs aren't cool, no matter what sport
- 27:14you play. That should never, what Jeffy said,
- 27:19in general. The NFL, you get fined like $2 ,500
- 27:21for saying these words. And whether it's modern
- 27:25society or sports, we need to fucking cut that
- 27:27out. We all need to love one another like we're
- 27:31brothers. With that happening, those players
- 27:33got nothing for that. I think they got suspended
- 27:38for something else in that game. But again, how
- 27:40are we supposed to know? Because they didn't
- 27:41say it. They just said, for his actions in this
- 27:43game. They don't tell you what he did. Which
- 27:46I think that is the dumbest fucking thing in
- 27:48the league. I'll help the commissioner was there
- 27:51for me David night and half of the half the crowd
- 27:53bring out booze instead of Jared nice Yeah, I
- 27:57think I was the only one he's bringing in we're
- 27:59still building. I think this is his first year
- 28:01as the the commission It was just he still got
- 28:03booed Brian Crawford Yeah, then that is a whole
- 28:07new alumni guys they're one of the radical guys
- 28:11down in the ice No, not neither one of them.
- 28:14No, I said it's just a nice image quick. That's
- 28:16in the picture was there Who else was down on
- 28:19the house? Kyle Pettit. Kyle Pettit and McDougal?
- 28:23McDermott? His name was Abraham. Was it Abraham?
- 28:26I don't know. But you know, I'm just getting
- 28:28confused with all the players that, you know,
- 28:29had sent a video message in too, you know. You
- 28:32know, Crisp, Connor Brown, Shermer, obviously
- 28:35ADB. Just a whole bunch of known, you know, Fogel.
- 28:41I wonder if Paul sent any in. Cause Paul was
- 28:45working there. Yeah, that night is a whole kind
- 28:50of disappointed Abraham it was there, okay? Yeah,
- 28:53I mean, but I'll see the ceremony just or Can't
- 28:57speak Bobo can sit. How was the jersey time?
- 28:59I said everything but the game was good The whole
- 29:02I mean whole the whole ceremony was yeah Yeah,
- 29:06I don't work Friday night running Sherry Bass
- 29:08and which was pretty cool to see them back in
- 29:10every two, so yeah He's the one that sold the
- 29:13team to Jim Waters, and you know that said he
- 29:16even said that became kind of touching They made
- 29:18you know talk about Jim for a couple minutes
- 29:19as well Yeah, I mean just nostalgic with it from
- 29:24the jerseys to all the players You know sending
- 29:26sending messages in and just I'll see me just
- 29:29let alone that Jesus being back in the building
- 29:31was Just absolutely incredible you know you know
- 29:34his wife that he just married over the summer
- 29:35was here The waters family came in and they were
- 29:38here. That's cool yeah that was awesome to see
- 29:41that just as a whole just absolutely touching
- 29:43for yeah just an unforgettable night i'm sure
- 29:46for con not just conor david i think that's kind
- 29:48of cool with um mcdavid being the first overall
- 29:51for eerie with only three otters being drafted
- 29:56first so i thought it was kind of cool mcdavid
- 29:57and schaeffer kind of had that moment and that
- 30:00because with both of them being First overall,
- 30:04I mean when you know all those players were shitting
- 30:05their pants and that video where he comes in
- 30:08and you know Announces the starting lineup. They're
- 30:10probably They're part of the pilot kids in the
- 30:13candy. I mean they are kids They're probably
- 30:15kids in a candy store like holy shit. Connor
- 30:17dude standing right here. Yeah Or an all -you
- 30:21-can -eat buffet anything a lot of them like
- 30:25when me David what? Was with the odd lot of them
- 30:29were like When we were like six, seven, maybe
- 30:33eight years old. When he was in here. Cause we
- 30:37were freshmen in high school. I was a freshman
- 30:41in high school. McDavid's only seven months older
- 30:44than what I am. He's two years and five months
- 30:47older than me. He's January of 97. I would have
- 30:53been a sophomore when he got drafted. I was a
- 30:57freshman, but no. He had dropped to 2015. So
- 31:01I would have been a... That was my junior going
- 31:05into senior year. That was my sophomore going
- 31:08into junior year. So I would have been a freshman,
- 31:09okay. Baby. Yeah, it's funny that I'm only like
- 31:15five months younger than Jeff, but it was a whole
- 31:17grade behind him. It's not the whole nightmare,
- 31:20I'm just absolutely incredible. It's just such
- 31:23an honor for the only Joe as a whole to be able
- 31:25to say that Connor McDavid came from our league.
- 31:28Even bigger honor for Erie to say he played in
- 31:31this building. Even when this building looked
- 31:34like shit, he played in this building. It could
- 31:36only hold 6 ,000 people, now we can hold up to
- 31:397 ,200 a standing room and suites and club level.
- 31:43The team played like shit, and Erie looked like
- 31:46shit. It was fitting. Great! Even David the agent
- 31:49made a joke about that. He goes, back when Connor's
- 31:51first start, the arena didn't look that good,
- 31:53the fan base wasn't as good as it is right now.
- 31:58It's an honor to say Conor played here. I think
- 32:02we're always going to be able to brag about that,
- 32:04hey, we got to watch him play. I got to watch
- 32:06Conor McDavid play for $10. Suck my ass. All
- 32:10right, moving on, Jeffy, what you got for milestones?
- 32:15Just a couple before going into milestones and
- 32:20use a couple suspensions and hirings. Jet Luchenko
- 32:26the glove storm suspended two games for a crosscheck
- 32:28penalty against Malcolm Spence on the January
- 32:308th, which That one was was really high I did
- 32:36watch I didn't see it didn't watch that one.
- 32:39How high Snoop Dogg dog Connor Clutterbird firebird
- 32:49suspended which which is also pending not sure
- 32:52what how many games, but for a check to the head
- 32:55count on Noah Jenkins of the Gwell Storm. For
- 32:59example, the Ty Henry one, if they go through
- 33:03and they say, okay, he's only suspended for two
- 33:04games, does that mean he's able to play next
- 33:06game because he already sat out two games? Or
- 33:09is it two additional games from the time that
- 33:11they - I'm assuming it's two additional games.
- 33:13That's so dumb, dude. Okay. Anyway. That's what
- 33:17I - He only sat out one, sorry. He was misconducted
- 33:20and then sat out one. And then Flint Firebird's
- 33:25head coach Paul Fletch finds and suspended five
- 33:28games and he has a fine of $2 ,500 for both players'
- 33:35safety and welfare of the league, which I don't
- 33:37know with welfare of the league and that safety.
- 33:42Yeah, it's weird. And then as for hiring, starting
- 33:48at Sting hired David Modus as an assistant head
- 33:51coach. He actually played 220 games and won the
- 33:56World Cup with the Sioux Grayhounds back in 1993.
- 34:01Speaking of numbers, really quick, sorry to cut
- 34:03you off. One other thing about Connor McDavid,
- 34:05somebody posted this to the uncensored group
- 34:08on Facebook. Connor McDavid, in his OHL career,
- 34:12scored 97 goals in his OHL career. Wow. I think
- 34:16that's honestly kind of fitting. It's just so
- 34:18ironic, it's hilarious. I love it. And starting
- 34:24back on the 28th of December, Ryder Leiners of
- 34:29the Brantford Bulldogs played in his 100th career
- 34:32OHL game versus Owen Santat. Then on the 31st,
- 34:37Lucas Moorer of the Brantford Bulldogs played
- 34:39in his 200th career OHL game versus Yuri Otters.
- 34:44And then Hendrick of the Kitchen Rangers gets
- 34:46his first career OHL goal versus North Bay Battalion.
- 34:50Jared Harding of the Brantford Steelheads gets
- 34:53his first career OHL goal versus Sudbury Wolves.
- 34:57Landon Simm of the London Knights gets his first
- 35:00career OHL hat -trick versus Sarnia Sting. And
- 35:04on January 1st, Anthony Fuglomeni of the Oshawa
- 35:08Generals gets his first career OHL goal versus
- 35:11Owen Stone Attack. Kieran Durving of the Kingston
- 35:14Frontenats gets his first career OHL goal versus
- 35:18the Brantford Steelheads. You know on the start
- 35:21on the third Josh Kalam Sino of the Flint Firebirds
- 35:25gets his first career in the gold with the Ottawa
- 35:2867 NC 39 saves Zachary Joe Anosky of the Guelph
- 35:35Storm gets his first career OHL shutout. We're
- 35:38still on a sound attack And then on the fifth
- 35:42Patrick Thomas gets I Don't know why I didn't
- 35:47put I think he was on Brantford as well. Gets
- 35:54his 200th career OHO point versus the Auto 67s.
- 36:00Tanner Wingard of the Windsor Spitfire gets his
- 36:02first career OHO goal versus the Niagara Ice
- 36:05Dogs. And then Ethan Toms of the Oxford Generals
- 36:09gets his first career OHO goal versus the Flint
- 36:11Firebirds. And then on January 8th, Quinn McCall
- 36:16of the Erie Arbors gets his first career OHO
- 36:18point off of Alex Nestea's goal, first of all
- 36:22stolen. Matthew Mania of the Plunk Fibers played
- 36:25in his 200th career OHO game against the Bramford
- 36:28Bulldogs. And then on January 9th, Sender Goudon
- 36:34of the Kingsend Frontenac gets his 100th career
- 36:38OHO goal, first of North Bay Battalion. And then
- 36:43on January 10th, Alex Azadorian of the Niagara
- 36:48Ice Dogs played in his 200th career OHL game
- 36:52versus Sudbury Wolves. Even Evan Cohen of the
- 36:59Front Firebirds gets his 100th career OHL assist
- 37:02off of Sam McHugh, goal, first to go off storm.
- 37:06You mean Ethan Cohen, right? McGor, McGorin played
- 37:15in his 200th career OHL game and then Michael
- 37:20Misa of the Saginaw Spirit gets his 200th career
- 37:23OHL point versus Erie Otters and he is the fastest
- 37:27to reach 200 points with the Saginaw Spirit at
- 37:31148 games passing Ryan, Ryan McDonough at 168
- 37:36games played which he's been... incredible Michael
- 37:42Lisa and then as of today the 11th Jenick Ulla
- 37:51of the Peterborough Peace gets his one gets his
- 37:54first career OHL goal versus Brantford Bulldogs
- 37:58Parker Vaughn of the North Bay Botanic gets his
- 38:02first career OHL goal versus Brantford the Steelheads
- 38:06Christian Humphrey of the Christian Rangers gets
- 38:09his first career OHL goal versus the Barrett
- 38:11Colts. Nice. Hell yeah. And then as of since
- 38:16World Juniors did have I kind of want to touch
- 38:18up on that. Oh yeah I was literally about to
- 38:20say that. All I got to say about the World Juniors
- 38:21is OH MAMA! Team USA back -to -back chance. Let's
- 38:27fucking go. First time. It's our sport now. I
- 38:30saw the fact that this is the first time that
- 38:33the... U .S. has ever done back to back. I commented
- 38:36that on a bar down post of the video like there
- 38:38at the gold medal game or whatever. Excuse me.
- 38:40And I just commented, oh mom I don't and then
- 38:43somebody got pissed off and like oh you're lucky
- 38:45and I said it's our sport now shut up back to
- 38:46back champs and they did not like that very much.
- 38:50I got a lot of shit for that they do not appreciate
- 38:52that one. One day I saw this um it was kind of
- 38:59crazy thing Latavia Upset in Canada, like...
- 39:02Latvia, yeah. No. Yeah, we won the... Yeah, well,
- 39:06I know. ...finity round for that, which was kind
- 39:08of... It was funny seeing that. And we went on
- 39:10to lose to, what was it? Finland. Finland, not
- 39:12Finland. Is Finland the only one we lost to?
- 39:14Finland was the only one we lost to. Which, I'm
- 39:16not going to be upset. The Finns are decently...
- 39:19Mid -pack, mid -pack. I mean, obviously, they
- 39:21were... They probably played in the final, too,
- 39:22wasn't it? Yep. Yeah. Because they beat Sweden.
- 39:25Yeah, I'm not going to complain about losing
- 39:28to Finland in that round -robin. It is what it
- 39:31is. Yeah. At least we didn't lose to Latvia.
- 39:36Hey, at least nobody lost to Kazakhstan. Very
- 39:39nice. Very nice. I saw the fact that in Czech
- 39:46vs Sweden, in the bronze medal round, I guess
- 39:51in that bronze medal matchup, That began the
- 39:55longest shootout in the tournament with 14 rounds.
- 39:57Yeah, it was crazy. This was crazy. Wild. That'd
- 40:04be like fourth or fifth longest in NHL history,
- 40:06I believe. I know there's been a couple that
- 40:09have gone to like 15 in the NHL, and I think
- 40:10the longest ever is 20, if I'm not mistaken.
- 40:15I want to say it was Washington and Florida,
- 40:17because I know Luongo is one of the goaltenders.
- 40:20I thought I remember Oshie shooting and scoring
- 40:22at some point. end of the year, obviously. I
- 40:28want to say like 2015. Obviously, the Long Bowl
- 40:30has still been around. 2014. December 16, 2014.
- 40:35I'm close enough to 2015. Nick Bukestad actually
- 40:43scored the game -winner. Was it against the Capitals?
- 40:46Yeah, against the Caps. I don't remember if it
- 40:51was the Long Bowl or one of the goalies. I thought
- 40:53I remember it being against Washington. I thought
- 40:56it was was touching as well for Team Canada,
- 41:00I mean Team USA. On the third locker they had
- 41:06Johnny and Matthew Gujra as well. Yeah they had
- 41:09a Gujra hanging up throughout the whole tournament,
- 41:12yeah. And then they had Johnny's hanging up and
- 41:15then like on the wall they had like hearts that
- 41:20like forever with us like Matthew and which is
- 41:22awesome and Johnny and that so that was definitely
- 41:25like that extra extra push they needed I'm sure
- 41:27to help them help them win that thing because
- 41:29I think Johnny played in that tournament I won't
- 41:30play I think they both did they both did at one
- 41:33point so I mean Goodger would have been back
- 41:35in probably 2013 -2014 something like that it's
- 41:41awesome for for USA to get back to back golds
- 41:43and uh oh mama don't you cry all right jumping
- 41:48right back into it With the good old fashioned
- 41:51puck doku. Alright, going across with the columns.
- 41:55Dallas, Jersey, and Shit Adelphia. And for the
- 41:59rows, it's Winnipeg, Edmonton, and under 1 ,000
- 42:04games played in their career. Gritty. At least
- 42:08somebody younger on Dallas League. Please don't.
- 42:13Uh. Yeah. Yeah. 3%. Either one of the Hughes.
- 42:24And then, Rupert Hintz. I think the only one
- 42:31on that team that might have played over a thousand
- 42:33so far is Ben. All right, so Edmonton Dallas.
- 42:41Corey Perry. No, I can't fit in anywhere else,
- 42:44right? Yeah, I cannot. Edmonton and Dallas are
- 42:47the only two he can... Yeah, I wasn't sure if
- 42:51he could fit anywhere else or not. Nope, he never
- 42:53played for New Jersey. He never played for Philly.
- 42:57Well, I forgot that he was there for a minute,
- 42:59so that's why I double -checked. Jersey, Edmonton.
- 43:06Swivs. Oh wow, yeah, how did I not get that?
- 43:11Edmonton, Philly? Can tell it Can't tell it.
- 43:19Yeah Yeah, I really need screen Damn that's hammering
- 43:25was drafted by Philly, but never played for Philly
- 43:27That's why I almost had pet room other we know
- 43:30he never played. He was drafted me in place of
- 43:32them Dallas or Winnipeg? Well Flynn never played
- 43:40for Dallas, I don't think Buflin was Atlanta
- 43:44Winnipeg and Chicago. Because he won a cup with
- 43:51Chicago in their first to three. Philly Winnipeg.
- 43:57There's also Jersey Winnipeg too. Oh, New Jersey
- 44:08and Winnipeg. Brendan Dillon. Yeah. That little
- 44:12bitch. D -L -L -L. D -I -L -L, yeah. Winnipeg
- 44:23and Philly. Watch this big one when we go perfect
- 44:25down. We haven't played this in three weeks.
- 44:29Winnipeg and Philly. Yeah, that one should be
- 44:31simple. Could it be another goalie? Sam Gagne
- 44:42ever play for Philly? Yeah, I thought you did.
- 44:46Sam Gagne? No, Simone Gagne. Oh, Simone? Oh,
- 44:48fuck me. I don't think so. Maybe a defenseman?
- 44:59Or something like Bruce DeLine in... Bruce DeLine
- 45:03was only ever... Ghost Bear. Yeah, gots to be
- 45:06here. Gots to be here. I say Ghost Bear. That's
- 45:10to be here. Thanks, Ethan. Fucker isn't even
- 45:14here. He's still out of the effects. Yeah. Again,
- 45:25I'm going back to, like, early when, like, they
- 45:28had just moved over back over to Winnipeg. Like,
- 45:30send anybody from that team. Or even the team
- 45:32that would have played for Atlanta. If we can
- 45:35swap... Dallas for Winnipeg, then definitely
- 45:39we could put Yager in for... Winnipeg and Dallas,
- 45:49you didn't even think of it, you didn't go back
- 45:50and do like Atlanta, Dallas. Minnesota, Atlanta
- 45:56kind of thing. Yeah. Damn. We flew right through
- 46:04those first six and then we're struggling. We
- 46:08always fight through the first five. I like the
- 46:12uniqueness there. What's it? The uniqueness.
- 46:1769. I think yeah. Nice. Trying to think of all
- 46:31the places Wayne Simmons has been to. Never been
- 46:35to Winnipeg, I don't think. I know Buffalo for
- 46:38only a couple games. Buffalo, Toronto, Philadelphia,
- 46:46L .A. Seems good for L .A. Good for L .A. Really?
- 46:52Yeah. Say luck it up once we're done here. Marks
- 47:01to all play. Never have to give a play for Winnipeg.
- 47:06Philly Rangers, Florida Buffalo Detroit spit
- 47:38it out so that we can probably spin off something.
- 47:40I was going to say a whole beat, but it's just
- 47:43Dallas. Dallas, Vancouver, Washington. Where's
- 47:46three teams? Damn. Yeah, I'm blinking. Where
- 47:58was Gontar away? Pittsburgh? Pittsburgh, Ottawa.
- 48:04Washington? Washington. Oh, what about, um, Nidorider?
- 48:10Nito Nidorider? I think they're for Winnipeg.
- 48:14Minneapolis. Alright, no, it's the wild, Minnesota.
- 48:19New Jersey. Never paid for Dallas. I think my
- 48:26best last guess I have is Nidorider. I'm drawing
- 48:32a board. I can't think of any more. Sort of guess
- 48:39Nina Ryder for Philly for Philly. That's the
- 48:45best guess I have. I don't think he played for
- 48:48Philly, but he did not, okay. Curry, Latten,
- 49:01Dylan would have played there too. Another Cody
- 49:05Eakin. Not a whole lot of recognize. I don't
- 49:09feel bad about this and now I'm Kevin Hayes fucking
- 49:11place for the pain with Steve Mason Sam Sam Sam
- 49:15got me for that early early switch to win the
- 49:18big days with Steve Mason Sam got me mark recce
- 49:21right in Coburn Oh my god, I said that too Fucking
- 49:37Sam's right on fucking Sam Gagne. Damn it. Not
- 49:43too bad about a couple of those. Oh yeah, I heard
- 49:52him. I heard him. I am showing so wet. Cut him
- 49:57a dude. Imagine. Oh, that must be Jack Eichel.
- 50:02No, it doesn't have the curly hair. No. Jack
- 50:05had a close curve of hair, so. I'm trying to
- 50:06think who, I mean, 95 % of players have long
- 50:09hair like that, so that doesn't really help.
- 50:11Jack Hughes. I don't know. Oh my god. Fucking.
- 50:15Imagine. Okay, he's in the West. And he's in,
- 50:20and he is in the Atlantic. Or no, I'm sorry.
- 50:24No, because it was, wait, how is it? Let me see
- 50:29play, he has played for Edmonton. Oh. That's
- 50:31what that means. He has played for Edmonton.
- 50:33So he's currently in the Central. He has played
- 50:36for Edmonton. And he's 27 or younger? 27, 26
- 50:41years old. He's not a center. Not a center. And
- 50:44he's not Canadian. So let's get somebody on like...
- 50:53Well, let's go through. Central teams, Colorado.
- 50:57Anybody that comes to mind that has played for
- 51:00Edmonton? Dallas. Currently on Dallas. Uh, Nashville.
- 51:17Barry? Isn't Tyson Barry over there now? Yeah,
- 51:19he is. He is. Tyson Barry? Barry? Oh, he's on
- 51:25Calgary. Never mind. Oh. Winnipeg. Okay, we know
- 51:33he's not a defensive now, so so we could be a
- 51:35goalie could be our winner Do we want to guess
- 51:39goalie to get him out of to get it? What is camp
- 51:41Talbot right now? Who's the mid -tenths current
- 51:50goalie? Well, it's not on Edmonton. He played
- 51:54for Edmonton. Jack Campbell But he's a major
- 52:07he's still he's still under contract with Edmonton
- 52:10let's just guess a random bully from the central
- 52:13Okay, so it's not a goal. It's a winger. Oh,
- 52:28we should be more. Let's just guess that to get
- 52:31Get the position. So Zwinger, 26, 27 years old,
- 52:35not Canadian either. His number is above 29.
- 52:40Who was drafted from... No, nevermind. Well,
- 52:46I'm thinking Seattle expansion, but Utah. But
- 52:50Utah was a relocation. I'm trying to think. Utah.
- 52:58Who could have played for Amaterna? Justin Schultz,
- 53:06but he's a defenseman. Retired now. I might draw
- 53:15a blank on the rest of that. You've said I did,
- 53:17but I think he's above 30. Yes. Did we go over
- 53:27Dallas yet? I think we do have tried. Yeah, I'm
- 53:32just back could be going back to Winnipeg that
- 53:34could be Sam gone yet. What about like st. Louis?
- 53:42He paid but I don't know if he's currently with
- 53:45see with Detroit or see with Would it be between
- 53:49Sam Gandhi or somebody on st. Louis like both
- 53:52what side? Perron's still in Detroit, right?
- 54:03Because he does have a tendency to go back to
- 54:06St. Louis after a couple of years. What's the
- 54:10guy to think, nationality? I almost want to guess
- 54:12an American, just to get it out of the way. Like,
- 54:20is Mark Scheife the American? He hasn't ever
- 54:23played for any of the 10? I don't think so. I
- 54:29just want us to throw Sam Donnie out there. I
- 54:32just don't remember what team he plays for. It's
- 54:36G -A -G -N -E -R. Nope, not even on there. Okay.
- 54:42Or is he even re - He might not play yet this
- 54:46season. Or is he retired? He might not play yet
- 54:50this year. Maybe he did retire, but I don't know.
- 54:57Name somebody else name somebody random on st.
- 54:59Louis sort of big tip. It's not a bulldozer Kevin
- 55:04and Don't I know it's not happening, but it'll
- 55:07help yes nationality and that will help with
- 55:09Jersey number even though Kaepernick's up in
- 55:12Edmonton right now Caps for having a trade Edmonton.
- 55:15He got picked up with waivers. Oh shit. Okay.
- 55:18Yes, okay Kairou I know the number would be too
- 55:22low Kairou And he always played in St. Louis.
- 55:27Isn't Kairou in St. Louis? That's what I just
- 55:29said, Kairou. That's what I just said, he's always
- 55:33played in St. Louis. I'm trying to think of some
- 55:36other four words on over there right now. Man.
- 55:46How'd that? Saw it. Brandon saw it. It could
- 55:52be. I think he's only a number 20. Okay. But
- 55:56is he American? That could help. He's also older.
- 55:59He is? Okay. And I thought he was in Utah. Is
- 56:04he? Not a lot. Not a lot. What does someone teach
- 56:07you? Chicago? What about like, Nick Salino? He's
- 56:12too old. Too old and he never paid for Emerson.
- 56:15Okay. Only Canadian teams pay for him. Taylor
- 56:17Hall is too old. That'll help us figure out if
- 56:20he's American. He does not pay for Minnesota
- 56:41Chicago, but has paid for Edmonton streak but
- 56:52who would be a right winger on st. louis they're
- 56:55just like the others they're born fucking team
- 56:57i know they're just there like they're a franchise
- 57:02kind of thing i guess carrie just to get the
- 57:04team couldn't even that's what we're trying to
- 57:06get the team he's 26 carrie's canadian too fuck
- 57:13me well yeah christian is a canadian so it makes
- 57:16sense That was Star - that's the wrong division.
- 57:23No. No, it's the right division. Okay. Hold still,
- 57:25we missed it in that division. The Stars... Stars,
- 57:28the Pred - no. The Preds. There could be somebody
- 57:30from the Preds. We still have Winnipeg, too.
- 57:34Stars, Preds, and Winnipeg are the last three.
- 57:36There's just one more. Stars, Preds, Winnipeg.
- 57:39Utah. It's Utah's in the central. Utah's in the
- 57:41central. Really? Okay. Stars, Preds, Utah. Crack
- 57:46in the West. Crack in the Pacific. Crackets.
- 57:50No shit there in the West. And Winnipeg is number
- 57:59eight. What about like... Nikolai Healers? Always
- 58:06played in Winnipeg, that's the thing. Kyle Connor's
- 58:12always been in Winnipeg. I was trying to think
- 58:14to help with jersey numbering to help with nationality.
- 58:18Tyler Sagan, isn't he American? Or is he Canadian?
- 58:22I know he never played for Edmonton. He only
- 58:25played for Boston, Dallas. The Central is just
- 58:32kind of a boring division, man. Like there's
- 58:34not a lot of like... So we just gotta get some
- 58:40random players on some of these last teams. I
- 58:42kind of like the Tyler Sagan guess. It's not
- 58:45how to say, the age too. I mean, the other thing
- 58:47is like 20, 30. He's 33, yeah. Never paid for
- 58:52Ambatana. Well, there are like, healers out there
- 58:54to get, try to get the nationality and the team.
- 58:57Yeah. That would be a lot of healers. Cause he's
- 58:59what? Finnish? Yeah. Or is he Slovakian? Danish.
- 59:05Okay, I knew that. Fuck my god, I don't have
- 59:08a team. You know, two more guesses after this?
- 59:13Yeah. Or two more all together. Two more guesses
- 59:14all together. Yeah. We still don't have the damn
- 59:17team. Okay, Predators. Yeah, at least we have
- 59:21half the fucking division knocked out by now.
- 59:23Roman Yossi? I'll only pay for the national.
- 59:25Fuck. And defensemen. Who's the winger on? Who's
- 59:32the winger on national? It's Sam Coase again.
- 59:38Arvidsson? L .A. Fuck. Well, either L .A. or...
- 59:44No, he's still in L .A. I thought he might have
- 59:46been in the number 10, but... I mean, could we
- 59:55throw Yossi just to see if it's the team? Well,
- 59:59what's his nationality? Is he Finnish or is he
- 1:00:01Swedish? I don't know. We could throw Yossi to
- 1:00:04get that help with the jersey number two. I'd
- 1:00:06say throw Yossi in there. For fuck's sake. All
- 1:00:16right, so we got his jersey number. His jersey
- 1:00:17number is like 56, 57, 58. So he's with the one
- 1:00:26team we haven't mentioned. I mean the only number
- 1:00:2757 that comes to mind is David Perron. Where
- 1:00:31the fuck is he playing? I thought he was stolen
- 1:00:36Detroit. David, Ethan, where are you? We need
- 1:00:40your Detroit answers. He's not Czech, he's not
- 1:00:53a Canadian, he's not Danish. He still could be
- 1:00:56Swedish, Finnish, Russian, American. Germany
- 1:01:00is very... Very low. I was just throwing it out
- 1:01:03there. What are the last two? Dallas. Dallas,
- 1:01:10Chicago. No, not Chicago. Dallas. Utah. Utah.
- 1:01:16Could he be a Utah? Could he be a transfer from
- 1:01:20Utah? Dallas or Nashville are the last two. No,
- 1:01:25not Nashville. Dallas, Utah. I wonder if he's
- 1:01:28from Utah. I can't think of anybody from Utah.
- 1:01:31There's a third one. There's a third one. Because
- 1:01:32there's only five up there from the central.
- 1:01:34Scroll up. From central. Oh, okay. So we can
- 1:01:38make something here. Yeah. Second team. Oh my
- 1:01:42god. There's three. Utah. Utah. Dallas. Who's
- 1:01:48the last fucking team? Going down north to south.
- 1:01:55You got Winnipeg. You got Minnesota. You got...
- 1:01:58Colorado. Colorado. Colorado. His number 57,
- 1:02:0356, D8 from Colorado. Um, who's, uh, he's a,
- 1:02:07I don't know, a second of, uh... Anyway, so the
- 1:02:08only number 57, or that area that comes to my
- 1:02:11mind, is Peron, or LaTang, or the game against
- 1:02:14LaTang. We might throw for Peron in, just to
- 1:02:17see what happens. Even if he plays for St. Louis,
- 1:02:20that's not the right answer. Um... I don't think
- 1:02:23he plays for, I don't think he's on Dallas right
- 1:02:24now, I don't think he plays for Colorado right
- 1:02:26now. Well, who's the color who's the is there
- 1:02:29anybody from I'm gonna take a pill like oh What
- 1:02:32about like our Terry Layton in this he's still
- 1:02:36in Colorado. Yeah, what's his number? I? Thought
- 1:02:41he was like 27 or something like that I'm blank
- 1:02:46I got nothing I have absolutely no idea cuz I'm
- 1:02:50trying to think of there's one player that I'm
- 1:02:53trying to think of from I don't even know how
- 1:03:03to spell his name, but you know what? Kyler Yamamoto,
- 1:03:12it was on Utah. Fuck! It was on Ottawa, that's
- 1:03:18right, I knew that. Kyler Yamamoto, we would've
- 1:03:24eventually gotten there in like 10 more guesses,
- 1:03:27but... 20, 20. Let's do one more, let's do one
- 1:03:31more in a minute just to try to make up for that.
- 1:03:37The hairy lip is in my cave and thing too. No.
- 1:03:42Matthew Kachuck. Wasn't it this I sniped it on
- 1:03:48like the second guess last time? Wow! Alright,
- 1:03:52he's American, he's 25, 26 years old. Atlantic.
- 1:03:56He's an Atlantic. But he's not a left -winger,
- 1:03:59and his number is higher than 22. Could it be
- 1:04:01a goalie? No, 19? Well, 22, because if it's closer
- 1:04:05than BL. How old is the brain? ADB. ADB is a
- 1:04:15total... It's his age is what I'm... That age
- 1:04:19could work. Let's go for it. Oh, they're the
- 1:04:26same fucking age. It's not a right winger either,
- 1:04:29so it's either a center defenseman or a goaltender.
- 1:04:32What's a younger goaltender from that division?
- 1:04:35Yeah, not Florida, not Detroit. That's narrowing
- 1:04:39it down. Good, see ya, be good. His jersey is
- 1:04:44not as high as 93. So it has to be between 23
- 1:04:49and 90. Pretty much. Well, let's run back. Let's
- 1:04:57go let's go through you know Boston Buffalo well
- 1:05:01who's on Boston's centerman defenseman the goaltender
- 1:05:04that's American That's young that's 45 below
- 1:05:08that go back to the picture Think you'd be like
- 1:05:13a Tej Thompson. That's who my pick was Fuck that's
- 1:05:22why you know what fucking 27 Well, he's either
- 1:05:26a defense winner or a goaltender. That's fine.
- 1:05:34Swamen's American, right? Yeah. Could it be Swamen?
- 1:05:38I don't know, let's find out. He might be too
- 1:05:40old, but we'll try and guess. No! He's 26! He's
- 1:05:44a goaltender! Okay! He's a goaltender! Alright,
- 1:05:48alright. I'll go through goaltenders. Boston
- 1:05:53Buffalo's out. Detroit, South, Ottawa. Who's
- 1:05:57they're both in there? Who's they're both in
- 1:05:59there? Who's they're both in there? Who's they're
- 1:06:02both in there? Who's they're both in there? Who's
- 1:06:05they're both in there? Who's they're both in
- 1:06:08there? Who's they're both in there? Who's they're
- 1:06:13both in there? W -O -L -L -L. W -O -L -L -L.
- 1:06:19Okay, that might... So we'll hold on to Joseph
- 1:06:22Wall. I think Stoller's could be American too.
- 1:06:24I think... We'll hold on to Toronto. Well, Stoller
- 1:06:28doesn't even ever want to work because of faith.
- 1:06:29Right here. Where I'm wearing. Yeah. Well, let's
- 1:06:33hold on to Toronto. Tampa Bay. Can't do that,
- 1:06:36see, because he's like... He's Russian. He's
- 1:06:38Russian. So that's not... That's going to be
- 1:06:40it. Yeah, S -K -Y... Your aunt's is too old.
- 1:06:43Yeah. Your aunt's is too old and Vasco's... That's
- 1:06:45what... That's us. And then, Florida. Bob's out.
- 1:06:50Spencer Knight. Could be Spencer Knight. Is he
- 1:06:52American? Yeah. So we got Stolarz, we got Wall,
- 1:06:56we got Knight. Let's go Spencer. Actually no,
- 1:06:59we can't do Florida because we already guessed
- 1:07:01Florida. That's true. So it's either Stolarz
- 1:07:05or Wall. Here, let me do Joseph Wall here. Okay.
- 1:07:13Not Toronto, that's... That'll end they take.
- 1:07:15And we know his number is below 60. Montreal.
- 1:07:19Who's the goaltender up in Montreal? That's a
- 1:07:22great question. It's... Mozambique? Is it Montembeau?
- 1:07:24Montembeau and there's a new kid, they just...
- 1:07:28Is Montembeau American? Canadian. That's Canadian,
- 1:07:31that's Canadian, man. It sounds foreign. I trust
- 1:07:35Jeff you on this one, so... What about Stavars?
- 1:07:38Could be back to Ottawa again. What was the way
- 1:07:42it's in Corpusalo? And then, Ronka, would you
- 1:07:47say is the other one? Well, who just went up
- 1:07:49from Boston? Olmark. Olmark. Ron is Canadian,
- 1:07:53isn't he? No, he's not. He's Canadian. Ron is
- 1:07:56Canadian. I think he's Canadian. I thought he
- 1:07:58was like Finnish or something. He's like... He
- 1:08:01might be a Finnish or something. I think the
- 1:08:03only other guess we have then is Montembeau,
- 1:08:06for now. And with the number work, I think he's
- 1:08:09like 50 or something like that. How do you spell
- 1:08:13his name? It's an M -O -U. I have them on my
- 1:08:18thing, so let me... Let me get... M -O -N? There
- 1:08:27we go. Here we go. Who's the other Canadian's
- 1:08:32goaltender? So it's Canadian's goaltender? Montenegro
- 1:08:36is Canadian. I thought he was American. Okay.
- 1:08:39Who's the other Canadian's goaltender? I don't
- 1:08:42even... No clue. But Jeffy said he was the only
- 1:08:45kid, so... He's under the number 35. So he's
- 1:08:48somewhere between 35... Well, if we get the other
- 1:08:51Canadian's goaltender, we obviously got it. Yes.
- 1:08:53I'm trying to think of numbers. So it's somewhere
- 1:08:55between like 23 and 32. So I'm guessing it's
- 1:08:58like 30. Which I think Ronta has always been
- 1:09:02like number 30, but is he American? I don't think
- 1:09:05ANT is an American name. No. Is he Renta? No.
- 1:09:10Who is the other goaltender? I know they just
- 1:09:13got a new candidate. That's the only reason I
- 1:09:16don't know who it is. Matt Murray? No, that's
- 1:09:24Matt. He never played for Montreal. He's Canadian
- 1:09:26too. He's with the Leafs right now. Which Matt
- 1:09:29Murray? There's two of them. The second Matt
- 1:09:32Murray. Dallas. Well, we know that it's I just
- 1:09:44don't And this yeah, we have to because we know
- 1:09:50it's a Canadians for Somebody's my phone is locked.
- 1:09:54I don't know. Tell it in but Jacob Dough came
- 1:10:06in private P .R .I .M .E .A .U. How old is he?
- 1:10:17Connor Hughes? No. Montepone, uh, yeah, Doves.
- 1:10:23But you know he's a check. What about Jake Allen?
- 1:10:26What? Hold on. Hitting his number is... What
- 1:10:29about Jake Allen? He's too old. Trust him, Jersey.
- 1:10:33Yeah, because I see the current gold tenders
- 1:10:36for the Montreal Canadiens, Sam, Vaught and Bidu.
- 1:10:40Jake Allen and Kaden Primo. Maybe it is Kaden
- 1:10:43Primo then? Here, here's how you spell his name.
- 1:10:47Primo's check. He's check. So it would be the
- 1:10:50second, it would be the middle option. Malmton
- 1:10:52Bowich is already up there. So Jake Allen's too
- 1:10:56old, as you said. Jake Allen's in Jersey! He's
- 1:10:59in Jersey! He can't beat Jake Allen if he's in
- 1:11:03Jersey! What if there's two Jake Allens? Because
- 1:11:08there's two of every... What the hell is it then?
- 1:11:16Put Matt Murray for the next three guesses and
- 1:11:19we'll figure it out. No. Who the hell is it?
- 1:11:27He is American. Yeah, except he wasn't on the
- 1:11:34active roster. And yeah, he was on the active
- 1:11:37roster. He's currently playing in the ball. Alright,
- 1:11:42that makes sense. So I was kinda sorta right,
- 1:11:47but I did Google it. I'm not taking any credit,
- 1:11:50so. I'll just take the kinda sorta. Jeffy, your
- 1:11:54turn for your little, no Colin, we'll do your,
- 1:11:57let's see if Jeffy's for last. Colin's body rankings.
- 1:12:00Yeah, we'll do Colin's body rankings first. We'll
- 1:12:01see if Jeffy's for last so then Bubble can, we
- 1:12:03can explain it to Bubble at the end here. Okay.
- 1:12:06Alright. Let me pull some notes up here. Again,
- 1:12:08I am sorry, guys. We'll take a quick pause and
- 1:12:11we'll be right back with you. I got it right
- 1:12:12here, so. Okay, you're right. Just J -K -L -L.
- 1:12:16So, you were with us during some of the Brian
- 1:12:20Rankin's, right? I was with you the first two,
- 1:12:22yes. So you were... I was there... So the A's
- 1:12:29of the Metro. Yes. So you know what this is like.
- 1:12:32Yes. I know what it's like. I missed the last
- 1:12:35three. So you can clearly tell we screwed up
- 1:12:39on one of them. Yeah. Yeah. I remember. Yeah.
- 1:12:45I got Ryan. I got the notification of the nickname
- 1:12:50change and I'm like, what the hell happened?
- 1:12:51And I went through it. I was like, oh, too bad.
- 1:12:57I don't have any of these. Have to go through
- 1:13:01a minute. I know I have some of these jerseys,
- 1:13:03but it doesn't really matter so I this is blind
- 1:13:07rankings ace of the central Yeah, I really couldn't
- 1:13:15figure out anything so like this is fall background
- 1:13:18just to get something in here ace of the central
- 1:13:21first up Seth Jones Chicago And he's been around
- 1:13:30for a while. He's what? Longest tenured blackhawk.
- 1:13:35Really? Yeah, the longest. Yeah. Since Taze and
- 1:13:38um... He's been there for like four years and
- 1:13:40he's already the longest tenured. It's wild.
- 1:13:43No, it's the blackhawks. Well, why don't we start
- 1:13:45about like two? No, no, no. Oh. That's odd. I
- 1:13:50was going to put him in yet. Four. I was going
- 1:13:52to say four. Alright. No offense to Seth Jones,
- 1:13:55he's amazing. No, because I was thinking two,
- 1:13:57because there might be a - I know he was very
- 1:13:59much loved in my mother's for a while too, so.
- 1:14:02Alright, second up, from Dallas, Rupert Hintz.
- 1:14:07Maybe that's for number two. Rupert Hintz is
- 1:14:10one of my - I love Rupert. I'm trying to go through
- 1:14:12and think where he can try to fuck with us this
- 1:14:15time. Well, you're tie -breaker two or three
- 1:14:30I mean I initially said two but I mean Jeff is
- 1:14:33coming up Yeah, let's save some room. Let's go
- 1:14:36three. Let's go three. Yeah All right, I Throw
- 1:14:43one up from Winnipeg Josh Marcy. Oh Okay, and
- 1:14:49he's Debate might be their best defenseman they
- 1:14:52got right now. Which makes sense why he has the
- 1:14:54A. And he's definitely better than Seth Jones.
- 1:15:00Is he as good as Rupert Hintz? I mean, it's two
- 1:15:04different positions. Two different styles of
- 1:15:07hockey, completely. So, I don't want to put him
- 1:15:10at five because I think he's better than Seth
- 1:15:11Jones. Well, I would say one of eight. Could
- 1:15:17we bump RootBeta3? Nope. They're deducted. Okay.
- 1:15:22I couldn't remember if we could... I'd put Josh
- 1:15:24at two. Okay. I don't want to put him at five.
- 1:15:26I couldn't remember the role if we could move
- 1:15:28around at all. He's better than Seth Jones. I
- 1:15:32think Saskia's gonna bite. Oh no. From Nashville.
- 1:15:38Ryan O 'Reilly. I kinda had a feeling he was
- 1:15:42gonna put somebody from Nashville. Number one.
- 1:15:47He's better than I think most of those guys.
- 1:15:51But number five is probably going to be uh, he's
- 1:15:54probably saving the fifth one for the ankle later.
- 1:15:58I always find a way to get us. I feel what team
- 1:16:01he's got. What if we throw him? What if we throw
- 1:16:04him? What if we throw him? What if we throw him?
- 1:16:08What if we just start with the fifth? And then
- 1:16:10we have his last one on top. Yeah I know I think
- 1:16:12I know where he's going to go for the last one
- 1:16:14so. All right, who's the fifth one? Honestly,
- 1:16:33I was about to ask Jeffy to grab that outer sweater
- 1:16:36from behind him just because I think he's on
- 1:16:38on that sweater. He signed it Yeah, I think that's
- 1:16:42back in his day And an arm. Let me see it. Whenever
- 1:16:48he wears a earring. That's fine. Do you need
- 1:16:54an extra light or something? I'm good. I'm gonna
- 1:17:02hang up right here. While Jeffy brings his up,
- 1:17:07I'll look for it. So we take the time to explain
- 1:17:11this thing to Bobo. Bobo, if you want to. So
- 1:17:15what this is, Bobo, it's higher, lower, maybe
- 1:17:18every once in a while neutral. OK. And this is
- 1:17:21related to drafts. OK. So pretty much, I'll go
- 1:17:25through two different players, say, which one's
- 1:17:27high. If you think they're drafted higher, lower,
- 1:17:31or if they were. So for example, for a neutral
- 1:17:34one. I said Austin Matthews or Conor McDavid,
- 1:17:38like who was higher, lower, neutral. Since they
- 1:17:40both were drafted first overall, they've been
- 1:17:42neutral. Okay. That's actually really cool. He's
- 1:17:47been doing the couple weeks. That's a couple
- 1:17:48weeks. Excuse me, that's really cool. Like Gally
- 1:17:52is another one from a couple weeks ago. I'm like,
- 1:17:57was Brandon Coyne ranked drafted higher or lower
- 1:18:00than Ryan O 'Reilly? They were lower. I'm just
- 1:18:07trying to reread it right. Yes. Yeah, right.
- 1:18:14Bram Coyne was drafted lower than O 'Reilly.
- 1:18:17So he was drafted in the third round where O
- 1:18:20'Reilly was drafted in the second round. So you
- 1:18:24kind of get the... Get the idea. So is there
- 1:18:28like a point system? Just like the blind rank
- 1:18:33in this. Why the fuck? Well, because I wasn't
- 1:18:35sure. Just for fun, Colin might still scream
- 1:18:37your ears off, but it's just for fun. Well, because
- 1:18:39I thought when he was doing this, you know, what
- 1:18:43we would have done. I don't need to scream if
- 1:18:45it's the blind rank. Well, why don't we do this?
- 1:18:47Maybe next season we do points for Jeffy's. I
- 1:18:51know. Well, here's my idea. You're the... You
- 1:18:55know, rule master, loser buys everybody fucking
- 1:18:58dinner. I buy a pizza or someone buys a pizza.
- 1:19:00No, I had one funny the other day that I thought
- 1:19:02of. On my family get -together for Christmas
- 1:19:05a couple weeks ago, we did like karaoke and stuff.
- 1:19:07So I thought, next time we do a little punishment
- 1:19:09for, you know, bracket, fancy whatever it is,
- 1:19:12ultimate loser has to go to rock and roll, sing
- 1:19:14a really embarrassing song in front of everybody.
- 1:19:15As long as I'm drunk, I am game. I've sang rock
- 1:19:19and roll a few times. I thought that was hilarious.
- 1:19:21I've sang rock and roll a few times. You gotta
- 1:19:22get me fucking buzzed about it. I did a Creed
- 1:19:26song in a rock and roll a few weeks ago. That
- 1:19:27was a lot. That was right before Christmas. I
- 1:19:29did more than one last breath by Creed. And Jeff,
- 1:19:32what do we got? All right, for the first one,
- 1:19:35was Yarra Curry ranked drafted higher or lower
- 1:19:38than Mark Messier? Yarra Curry. He was lower.
- 1:19:44Are you kidding me? I don't really agree with
- 1:19:46Collin. I'm gonna go lower. Lower, higher or
- 1:19:50lower than Messier? I'm gonna say lower. Yeah,
- 1:19:53I would say a long pick. St. Messy was drafted
- 1:19:55higher. Yep, you pretty much all were correct.
- 1:19:58Yep, Curry was drafted in 1980 by the Oilers.
- 1:20:0269th overall, 4th round pick, 6th pick, where
- 1:20:05Messy was 79 by Edmonton. 3rd round, 7th pick
- 1:20:10overall. Next one is, it was Charlie McEvoy drafted
- 1:20:18higher or lower than Artari Lincoln in. Charlie
- 1:20:23McAvoy or Terry Lincoln. Oh. I'm gonna go higher.
- 1:20:29Maybe a neutral. Lower. I want to say McAvoy
- 1:20:34was our first round pick. I'd pick a neutral
- 1:20:36on this one. Damn, I mean McAvoy would have been
- 1:20:41like 2017, 2018. He's a young guy. Licking in
- 1:20:46I think was a little more recently. Did I? Might
- 1:20:51have screwed up on the I don't know why I put
- 1:20:53Mac a boy. I'm sorry Who do you mean to put I?
- 1:21:03Meant Charlie coil in that I don't know why I
- 1:21:05put Mac why Charlie coil I'm completely sorry
- 1:21:10That changes completely then I want to say coil
- 1:21:14I'd say was dropped a little lower hard or you
- 1:21:17say higher No, I'm gonna still say no or Lower.
- 1:21:22So you think Lakenin was drafted higher? Yeah,
- 1:21:24like later on, higher. Like, he was drafted later.
- 1:21:31Or, I might - Before or after? He was drafted
- 1:21:34after. Coyle was drafted after Lakenin? No, before.
- 1:21:38Before, so lower. He was a lower draft pick,
- 1:21:40so he was, like, lower numbers. I might have
- 1:21:43this - I'm gonna say the other option. I'm gonna
- 1:21:45say Lakenin was drafted first. I'm just gonna
- 1:21:47go with neutral. Yeah, Coyle was drafted before.
- 1:21:50I said Colin actually was correct. He was drafted
- 1:21:54higher. He was drafted in 2010 by the Sharks,
- 1:21:5828th overall, first round. You're talking about
- 1:22:00Sharks? Yeah. What? And in Lincoln it was 2013
- 1:22:06by Montreal, 55th overall, second round, 25th
- 1:22:09pick. Damn. And then the last one I have is was
- 1:22:15Cole Caulfield drafted higher or lower than Why
- 1:22:23did I forget it? Never mind, I'll skip that one
- 1:22:30just because I screwed up on that one. Yeah,
- 1:22:42I'll skip that one just because I screwed up
- 1:22:44on that one. Okay. Yeah, I don't know what happened
- 1:22:48there. All right. What are some other things
- 1:22:55that we possibly missed this week? Let's see.
- 1:22:59Obviously, we said Eric Stolovitz's number retired
- 1:23:02earlier today. He has a recording by the Carolina
- 1:23:05Hurricanes. How bad the rest are. OV counter.
- 1:23:11Oh yeah, OV counter. That should be a new thing.
- 1:23:14OV counter. As of today, Sunday, January 12th
- 1:23:20at 9 .50 p .m. Alex Ovechkin is 22 goals away
- 1:23:24from breaking the Great Ones. I was going to
- 1:23:27say, because you said that when I was watching
- 1:23:30the Bills game with my uncle. And I got that
- 1:23:34text and I was like, wow, he's getting close.
- 1:23:37I think he's won 17 goals in only 20 games played
- 1:23:39this year. Something like that. I think he has
- 1:23:43the potential of breaking that record. Probably
- 1:23:47early next season. No, against LA this season.
- 1:23:50March. I think he's on pace for late February,
- 1:23:55early March range. I think he's going to do it
- 1:23:57this year. He's going to do it this year. If
- 1:23:59he stays healthy. He has 20 goals and 27 games
- 1:24:03this year. 39 years old, keep in mind. So again,
- 1:24:08number one, if he stays on the pace that he's
- 1:24:10going. And number two, if he stays healthy. That's
- 1:24:13a big thing. Obviously he missed a chunk of time
- 1:24:17with that broken paper line. But he's come back
- 1:24:21stronger than ever. This just shows how good
- 1:24:22he is, man. 39 years old, he breaks his fibula
- 1:24:24and still comes back. I think it was a month
- 1:24:26ahead of schedule that he was supposed to be
- 1:24:28back. Yeah. That's unbelievable, man. Like, as
- 1:24:32much as we might shit talk the capitalist, as
- 1:24:34much as we don't like to play Ovechkin on the
- 1:24:36ISC, he's a fucking fantastic scorer, man. We
- 1:24:40can't do anything or say anything to take that
- 1:24:42away from the man. He's fucking fantastic. He's
- 1:24:45the greatest goal scorer of our generation, man.
- 1:24:46Yeah, it's not gonna be a great school score
- 1:24:49of all time if he does No, he will well here's
- 1:24:52my question to you guys. Do you think? So let's
- 1:25:00say so sorry to cut you off Jeffy let's say McDavid
- 1:25:02breaks the record Now you have this young fresh
- 1:25:06kid and Connor McDavid. Do you think McDavid
- 1:25:09will break? Obvious new record of Mcdavid. I
- 1:25:12think it will be Matthews. I think Matthews can
- 1:25:14do it before Mcdavid. Really? Both of them can
- 1:25:16do it. Mcdavid does a lot of points. He does
- 1:25:19score a lot of goals too. I think Miguel will
- 1:25:23more like go after Gretzky's assists in his points
- 1:25:26record. Where Matthews will go after Obie's goal.
- 1:25:32Both of them are going to break records. It just,
- 1:25:34you know, define... which record you're going
- 1:25:37after. So you guys are saying on one end of the
- 1:25:40spectrum, McDavid's a better feeder than he is
- 1:25:42a better shooter. On the other end of the spectrum,
- 1:25:44it's like McDavid likes to feed the puck and
- 1:25:46share the wealth. It's almost like the Ovechkin
- 1:25:49-Crosby debate. Matthews is like Ovechkin, they're
- 1:25:52amazing goal scorers, they're the better goal
- 1:25:54scorer. McDavid's like Crosby, they're the better
- 1:25:57200 foot player, assist getter, whatever you
- 1:26:00might want to get. In 591 games played he has
- 1:26:04382 holes for a total of 680 points. Okay. Where
- 1:26:10for Connor McDavid, also we know he just passed
- 1:26:131000 points earlier this season, has played 684
- 1:26:17games and has 1040 points. Wow. That's kind of
- 1:26:21where I was wondering, I was like, how do you
- 1:26:23guys feel about something where, I mean I'm sure
- 1:26:27we're going to talk about that later on throughout
- 1:26:30this and next season. throughout the course of
- 1:26:33hot like yeah you know mcdavid's career and you
- 1:26:37know whether like regardless of how far we go
- 1:26:39as a studio like it's going to be talked about
- 1:26:42okay i guess here's a question i have this is
- 1:26:45just a fun one to pick your brains you have connor
- 1:26:48mcdavid and you have austin matthews each captain
- 1:26:51of a team who wins they pick their own players
- 1:26:54then they do a normal You know, period. The fantasy
- 1:26:59drafts. Normal fantasy draft. I mean, David picks
- 1:27:01his side, Matthew picks his side. Who would you
- 1:27:03rather start your franchise with? Essentially.
- 1:27:06Would you pick David or would you pick Matthews?
- 1:27:09They're both the GM, number one center, franchise
- 1:27:14cornerstone kind of thing. Who would? I mean,
- 1:27:19it's got to be with David. I mean, it's got to
- 1:27:22be with David. Okay, wow. I don't think there
- 1:27:25is. Well, if they were to draft their own team.
- 1:27:28If they were to build their own team, that's
- 1:27:30what I'm saying. Again, GM and number one player.
- 1:27:34Like if McDavid gets enough money and he buys
- 1:27:37a team out in Atlanta. And it's like, okay, McDavid
- 1:27:42builds his own team and then Austin Matthews
- 1:27:44goes out to, I don't know, Arizona. You know,
- 1:27:52he owns a team out in Arizona, he builds his
- 1:27:54own team. Mcdavid on the other end of the spectrum
- 1:27:57is the same thing. Who do you have? They play
- 1:28:01who do you have? Who's warning that? Mcdavid,
- 1:28:04so. Think so? Yeah. I think so. I mean, you gotta,
- 1:28:07you gotta, I'm gonna let my body show. I really
- 1:28:08don't care. I mean, yeah, it's gonna be Mcdavid.
- 1:28:10I mean, can't. There's some that I had sent to
- 1:28:13the group, like a lot, I think it was last week.
- 1:28:16Back over the weekend, this was a little bit
- 1:28:18ago, over the weekend when Flurrie and Crosby
- 1:28:20ended up being at the same hotel in Raleigh.
- 1:28:22Sid snuck into Flurry's hotel room and moved
- 1:28:25the furniture around during the wild morning
- 1:28:27skate. Flurry stole Sid's equipment bag and put
- 1:28:30Vaseline on his visor, laced up his skates backwards,
- 1:28:35and put beef sticks in his jocks. That's awesome.
- 1:28:40If that's not friendship, I don't know what you're
- 1:28:42saying. That's awesome. That's awesome. So, do
- 1:28:47you think... Pittsburgh so we we actually also
- 1:28:56just had history in the making recently two players
- 1:28:59ever in the NHL history that to have a hat trick
- 1:29:02at the age of 18 or younger and the age of 36
- 1:29:06year older Yarmir Yarmir Agur is the first and
- 1:29:10most recently Jordan frickin stall Jordan frickin
- 1:29:15stall can you see the other still brother getting
- 1:29:18his jersey return in the near future i don't
- 1:29:31think it was as as much of a guarantee as eric's
- 1:29:33was yeah but um i can see it potentially happening
- 1:29:36speaking of kind of mixing the both mixing ovechkin
- 1:29:40and flurry together mark and your floor i'm watching
- 1:29:42ovechkin Approach Wayne Gretzky's NHL goals record.
- 1:29:45This is what he had to say about that He probably
- 1:29:47owes a few he probably owes me a few things for
- 1:29:50scoring so many goals on the IELTS and that pretty
