- 2:07Speaker 1: and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show one more
- 2:11Speaker 1: time partner, Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man. How
- 2:17Speaker 1: amazing is that? How good has God been to me?
- 2:23Speaker 1: How good has He been to you? Just check yourself sometimes,
- 2:27Speaker 1: just sit up, Just let's run a survey. Just look
- 2:31Speaker 1: at your life, where it's at. It might not be
- 2:33Speaker 1: where you want it to be, but that's probably some
- 2:35Speaker 1: decisions you made. But really, though, in spite of all
- 2:39Speaker 1: the crazy mistakes I didn't made, I mean, man, I
- 2:45Speaker 1: look back at some of the decisions I didn't came
- 2:47Speaker 1: up with, and and man, it's it's it's just amazing.
- 2:50Speaker 1: He let me live. I mean, it's it's and and
- 2:53Speaker 1: and to exist the way I exist, it does nothing
- 2:56Speaker 1: but grace, mercy, favor all that is. That's what my
- 3:00Speaker 1: mama praying for me when I wasn't praying for myself.
- 3:03Speaker 1: It had to be it, because, man, I can truly
- 3:05Speaker 1: tell you I have made enough mistakes man, stuff you
- 3:10Speaker 1: would never even know about, and recovered from them all
- 3:15Speaker 1: you can too, and I don't care what you've done.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Marvin Sapp has a song out that says he saw
- 3:21Speaker 1: the best in me when everyone else around me could
- 3:25Speaker 1: only see the worst in me. You know that that's
- 3:29Speaker 1: an important song man, especially you know. I want to
- 3:33Speaker 1: talk to men today because man, being a man is
- 3:40Speaker 1: so so difficult. Please know it has been my quest
- 3:46Speaker 1: ever since I was a little boy. My father had
- 3:49Speaker 1: one ambition, son, I don't care what you do, but
- 3:54Speaker 1: when I get through raising you, you will be a man.
- 3:57Speaker 1: That's all I want you to be. And he never
- 3:59Speaker 1: cared what I did for a living, and it never
- 4:01Speaker 1: made a difference to him. You're going to be a man.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Manhood is difficult. Now, ladies, just listening to this, I'm
- 4:08Speaker 1: not saying womanhood ain't. I don't know what it takes
- 4:11Speaker 1: to be a woman, so you know, but I do
- 4:14Speaker 1: know exactly what it takes to be a man. So
- 4:17Speaker 1: you know, sometimes when you talk to people on the radio,
- 4:20Speaker 1: you have to preface things because people are just go
- 4:23Speaker 1: he trying to make it look like womanhood. Ain't. No,
- 4:25Speaker 1: That's not what I'm doing. I'm just talking to men
- 4:28Speaker 1: today to explain to them that daign by the self
- 4:31Speaker 1: and struggling trying to figure this thing out, that you
- 4:34Speaker 1: are not alone in your quest for manhood. That is difficult,
- 4:39Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, man manhood is that kind of difficult,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and it becomes even more compounded if a young boy
- 4:48Speaker 1: does not have a male role model. I've said it
- 4:52Speaker 1: a thousand times, I'll say it again. A young boy
- 4:55Speaker 1: without a male role model is like an explorer without
- 4:59Speaker 1: a map. While I have a suggestion for everybody that's
- 5:02Speaker 1: struggling with manhood and all of the men out there
- 5:05Speaker 1: that are men. This message is for all of us,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and it's for me too. You know. I was listening
- 5:10Speaker 1: to Joyce Myers the other day and she made a statement.
- 5:15Speaker 1: She said, sometimes you gotta do the right thing even
- 5:19Speaker 1: when it feels wrong. You know. One of the difficulties
- 5:22Speaker 1: of manhood is pure pressure and the misguided principles of manhood.
- 5:31Speaker 1: See what God wants us to be as men and
- 5:36Speaker 1: what we believe manhood is sometimes two different things. Give
- 5:40Speaker 1: you an example. I wrote this book for women, right
- 5:44Speaker 1: and I was telling them the three ways that a
- 5:46Speaker 1: man shows his love, and I call him three peas.
- 5:50Speaker 1: We profess, we protect, and we provide every man who
- 5:55Speaker 1: is a man, that's how he exhibits love. When I
- 5:59Speaker 1: talkie talking comforting with our great nurturers. But when it
- 6:02Speaker 1: comes down to to it, what we all want to do,
- 6:05Speaker 1: what is in our day DNA, is to profess our
- 6:08Speaker 1: love for something you as a woman, to protect you
- 6:11Speaker 1: as a woman, and to provide for you as a woman.
- 6:14Speaker 1: That's in our DNA. Now, sometimes that gets messed up,
- 6:18Speaker 1: and I'll give you an example. Sometimes when a boy
- 6:21Speaker 1: doesn't have the proper, real role model in his life,
- 6:24Speaker 1: he takes that principle of love that we all possessing
- 6:27Speaker 1: us every man, the professing part, the protecting and in
- 6:31Speaker 1: the providing part, and we misplay it. That's why gangs exist.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Gangs exist off those three principles. What's the first thing
- 6:40Speaker 1: a gang member do? He professed, he claim a hood,
- 6:44Speaker 1: that's the first thing you do. That's my neighborhood. I'm
- 6:46Speaker 1: Duce's trade, I'm triple h I'm due de dude, I'm purple,
- 6:50Speaker 1: I'm red, I'm blue. The first thing they do is
- 6:53Speaker 1: claim that's professing. That's how we show our love. But
- 6:56Speaker 1: it's misguided though. Now we're professing something that ain't even
- 7:01Speaker 1: good for us. Your hood, your game, your click now,
- 7:04Speaker 1: guess what Now we got to protect it. So now
- 7:09Speaker 1: as a protection part of our love, here we go.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You come down here, We're gonna do this to you.
- 7:16Speaker 1: You go over there, they're gonna do that to you.
- 7:18Speaker 1: You protect your hood, This your turf, this all you got.
- 7:21Speaker 1: You ain't nobody coming down here with blue owned. Can't
- 7:23Speaker 1: nobody come over here with red on. You can't come
- 7:25Speaker 1: over here with purple on. You can't come over here
- 7:27Speaker 1: with black and gold on. And we and we protect
- 7:30Speaker 1: that because that's in our DNA. And then what's the
- 7:33Speaker 1: third thing we provide? So guess what the game need money?
- 7:36Speaker 1: Guess what we do. We're selling drugs, we're selling women,
- 7:41Speaker 1: we're selling guns. It go back to the same thing. Man,
- 7:46Speaker 1: I don't know how God gave it to me that way.
- 7:48Speaker 1: When I was writing a book, but he showed it
- 7:50Speaker 1: to me along the way. That's how men love well.
- 7:52Speaker 1: When you don't have a role model in your life.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Guess what now that love is misplaced, it's misguided, it's
- 7:58Speaker 1: off track. Ain't no man told you that. Really you're
- 8:00Speaker 1: supposed to take this love and give it to a woman.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You're really supposed to profess, protect and provide for a woman,
- 8:07Speaker 1: not your gang set. Now you're professing your hood, wrapping
- 8:11Speaker 1: a color, you're protecting your territory, shooting people driving by
- 8:15Speaker 1: coming over you on your street, and then you provide.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Now you are here selling drugs and guns for the
- 8:19Speaker 1: same thing. When a boy does not have a male
- 8:22Speaker 1: role model, he has a misguided way of looking at manhood.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Here's a deal. See, God created all of us in
- 8:31Speaker 1: his image. That means He's put some of our DNA
- 8:35Speaker 1: in him. That's why it's in your DNA to profess,
- 8:38Speaker 1: protect and provide because guess what, that's what God do
- 8:42Speaker 1: for us, because we His children. I'm just talking to
- 8:45Speaker 1: men right now. I'm just telling you, man, I had
- 8:48Speaker 1: to wake up about five years ago. I wasn't doing
- 8:51Speaker 1: what God wanted me to do. And then he shook me.
- 8:55Speaker 1: He said, man, I'm gonna bring about some changes in
- 8:57Speaker 1: your life. I'm gonna cause some things to happen that's
- 9:00Speaker 1: gonna put you in a position. And this time you're
- 9:02Speaker 1: gonna listen to me, because if you don't, you're gonna
- 9:05Speaker 1: keep living in this pain you've been in. But you
- 9:08Speaker 1: put yourself in this pain. I own no blame to
- 9:11Speaker 1: no one else but myself. Please know, I know that.
- 9:14Speaker 1: And that's how you really get to manhood, when you
- 9:17Speaker 1: figure out what you hadn't done wrong. You can't blame
- 9:19Speaker 1: this on none of your exes because you are a man.
- 9:22Speaker 1: You can't go my ex dear this. No, No, you're
- 9:24Speaker 1: a man, pardner. You got to take responsibility for yours
- 9:28Speaker 1: and yours alone. If you got kids, you got to
- 9:31Speaker 1: get to them some kind of way. Write him a letter,
- 9:34Speaker 1: send them the money. If she won't let you see it,
- 9:36Speaker 1: for the money, whatever, send them money to a mama.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Do what you're supposed to do as a man. Do
- 9:42Speaker 1: what God want you to do, man, because he's not
- 9:45Speaker 1: letting us off the hook for what we're supposed to
- 9:48Speaker 1: be just because you ain't doing it. And if you
- 9:50Speaker 1: do it, you turn your life around just holding that
- 9:53Speaker 1: the fellers to day that saw sorry about that. You're listening,
- 10:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. You know what it is. It's a
- 10:03Speaker 1: new day, and we started the same way every day, man,
- 10:07Speaker 1: and today as a special day because today it's the
- 10:10Speaker 1: day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and
- 10:12Speaker 1: be glad in it. This is the one we got, Yesterday,
- 10:16Speaker 1: gone tomorrow, and promise, this is the one we're dealing with.
- 10:19Speaker 1: So since this is it, this is the one you got,
- 10:23Speaker 1: let's get to getting after man. Let's be glad about it.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Get your tuted up, get your two up. I start
- 10:30Speaker 1: this day, like I do every day, with gratitude, which
- 10:33Speaker 1: then affects my attitude, which has a direct correlation to
- 10:40Speaker 1: my altitude. Without one, you can't have the other, and
- 10:44Speaker 1: without the other, you need the other one. What I'm
- 10:47Speaker 1: saying here is gratitude affect your altitude, which directly is
- 10:52Speaker 1: in correlation with your altitude. If you ain't flying high,
- 10:56Speaker 1: as you won't altitude wise, I bet your attitude is
- 11:01Speaker 1: the reason why you're not there. And the reason why
- 11:04Speaker 1: your attitude ain't there, it's probably because you're showing a
- 11:07Speaker 1: lack of gratitude. They all go hand in hand. Or
- 11:10Speaker 1: if you think your attitude ain't right, it's probably because
- 11:13Speaker 1: you ain't grateful for the stuff you have, so you
- 11:15Speaker 1: can't even see what God done for you. So now
- 11:18Speaker 1: you you steady on the ass till when you don't
- 11:21Speaker 1: even realize you got a lot to be grateful for.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So why would he give you more? If God is
- 11:27Speaker 1: a just god, now why would he give you more
- 11:29Speaker 1: to be grateful for? If you ain't grateful for what
- 11:32Speaker 1: you have, he ain't gonna overburdening you with that. Now
- 11:35Speaker 1: you better get to being grateful, Ladies and gentlemen. Steve
- 11:38Speaker 1: Harvey Mornings Show, Shirley Strawberry, The Mouth of the South, Mississippi,
- 11:43Speaker 1: Monica Junior kills Page, the legend that he is nephew
- 11:48Speaker 1: Tommy Junior. I would tell you this luck. Let me
- 11:52Speaker 1: ask you this luck. You know, man, it's been or
- 11:54Speaker 1: can't weakend? You know it's a mentor can't weakend you said, Man,
- 11:58Speaker 1: if I want to change it, I gotta up the
- 12:00Speaker 1: number you said. I got to help more boys. And
- 12:03Speaker 1: so therefore you need to see you had the means.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Now you got the ranch that you Jeff bought. Now
- 12:08Speaker 1: you're over here, doing more. Is this the process that
- 12:12Speaker 1: you just asked for? And to show up? You just
- 12:14Speaker 1: keep doing it? Well, faith without works is dead. You
- 12:19Speaker 1: can ask for a lot of stuff, but if you
- 12:22Speaker 1: ain't willing to do the things that can make it happen.
- 12:25Speaker 1: What you keep asking God for? Dear God, give me
- 12:28Speaker 1: a job. But you're sitting at the house, ain't feeling out,
- 12:31Speaker 1: no applications, you ain't doing no interviews, you ain't. You
- 12:35Speaker 1: ain't went on head Hunter, you ain't on none of
- 12:39Speaker 1: the site's for a job. But you stayed at the
- 12:41Speaker 1: house asking God for a job. But you ain't done
- 12:45Speaker 1: no work. That's all it is. Man, I'm just I'm
- 12:48Speaker 1: just to buy product over. When hard work and faith
- 12:51Speaker 1: come together, some amazing things can happen in your life.
- 12:55Speaker 1: But the key to this whole thing is faith. And yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 1: I ask because and then when I ask, he do more.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Though see he does exceedingly and abundantly. Over all I
- 13:05Speaker 1: think or ask, I can't. I can't tell you something.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Everything I've ever asked for it took a long time
- 13:11Speaker 1: to get. When I got it was way more than
- 13:13Speaker 1: I thought it was gonna be. Man, I'm tell you something, Man, God, sir,
- 13:20Speaker 1: that God. I sir, you can't tell me nothing about him.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I don't even hear you. A matter of fact, boy,
- 13:26Speaker 1: you're gonna mess when I find out what Christ type
- 13:28Speaker 1: Christian I really am it. Say something to me about it. Okay,
- 13:32Speaker 1: all right, Steve coming up at thirty two minutes after
- 13:39Speaker 1: the hour, we'll hear from the nephew and run that
- 13:41Speaker 1: prank back right after this. You're listening, all right, nephew,
- 13:47Speaker 1: it is time to run that prank back. What you got.
- 13:50Speaker 1: We're talking about some chicks today. You know what I mean,
- 13:53Speaker 1: some chicks now, I'm not talking about baby chicks. You understand.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Baby chick is the name of the prank. Can't if
- 14:00Speaker 1: you would give it to me, man, thank you. I'm
- 14:03Speaker 1: trying to reach Warren the manager as he is, which
- 14:08Speaker 1: is Warren. Thank you for calling help you you know
- 14:10Speaker 1: you are you the manager there? Yes, sir, your name
- 14:13Speaker 1: warn Yes, sir, this is one Okay. I needed to
- 14:16Speaker 1: actually file a lawsuit on y'all, and I'm actually calling
- 14:19Speaker 1: you first to let you know that I'm getting ready
- 14:21Speaker 1: to file a lawsuit on the whole grocery store for
- 14:25Speaker 1: what did happened to me? Sir? Call me let me,
- 14:28Speaker 1: let me get hold on a second. So let me
- 14:30Speaker 1: do this. Let me let me what what did you say?
- 14:32Speaker 1: Your name was? My name is Evans. Evans is my name,
- 14:37Speaker 1: so Evans is your last name. Let me let me
- 14:39Speaker 1: write this down. And you came into my store? Did
- 14:42Speaker 1: you have an accident in my store or something? I'm
- 14:45Speaker 1: not just have to show what you're calling about. I
- 14:47Speaker 1: ain't had no accident. What alpum was? I came in
- 14:49Speaker 1: there yesterday and I bought a bunch of groceres and
- 14:53Speaker 1: I bought a card in the eggs right now. When
- 14:55Speaker 1: I got home, I was checking to make sure the
- 14:58Speaker 1: eggs didn't didn't break on the way home. What I
- 15:00Speaker 1: got home, it was a baby chick inside the egg
- 15:04Speaker 1: carding man. One of the eggs had it had a hatch,
- 15:07Speaker 1: and got my kids traumatized. And they don't even want
- 15:10Speaker 1: to eat breakfast of nothing around here because there's a
- 15:12Speaker 1: baby chick inside caught the eggs. That don't make no
- 15:16Speaker 1: man um. I don't mean to uh let me so
- 15:21Speaker 1: you tell me it was a chicken, a baby chicken,
- 15:23Speaker 1: actual chicken, and a baby chick inside the cart and
- 15:27Speaker 1: the eggs man, you got my kids traumatized. Man, don't
- 15:31Speaker 1: nobody want you got the eggs? If you're just here
- 15:34Speaker 1: the curse. If you just calmed down for one second,
- 15:36Speaker 1: listen what I told y'all put that chicken down, and
- 15:41Speaker 1: then put it down, it might have ray bat say what.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I don't even think that that's possible. First of all,
- 15:48Speaker 1: if you had any idea how this thing comes from
- 15:50Speaker 1: the farm to the store, they go over these eggs
- 15:54Speaker 1: a countless summertimes, and the temperature and the freezer. First
- 15:57Speaker 1: of all, wasn't even allow for a chicken to be
- 16:00Speaker 1: alive if you had a baby. I don't know I
- 16:02Speaker 1: did this one, this one. I don't know how this
- 16:06Speaker 1: one got tasked the system. Okay, but what I do
- 16:09Speaker 1: know is we got a baby chick over here running
- 16:12Speaker 1: around because y'all show ain't doing what y'all's supposed to do. Man,
- 16:16Speaker 1: and I got it, and now my kids are traumatized
- 16:19Speaker 1: behind this. When did you say you were in here?
- 16:21Speaker 1: So I was in there yesterday. I bought the eggs.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Yes today, Man down here and I'm free. Yes, I
- 16:28Speaker 1: bought him except the grocery stove. I sure did. Okay,
- 16:32Speaker 1: let's do this. Why don't you bring the eggs and
- 16:34Speaker 1: into me and the chick. Now y'all want me to
- 16:37Speaker 1: transport a baby chick back to the grocery store. I
- 16:40Speaker 1: aught my look, we already traumatized over here, already behind
- 16:44Speaker 1: this dog bone baby chick. Man, I'm not I'm not
- 16:47Speaker 1: exactly sure what you were trying to pull here, but
- 16:51Speaker 1: I just don't I don't think that, first of all,
- 16:55Speaker 1: were a common sense to tell you that that's not possible.
- 16:57Speaker 1: First of all, you can't have a bay chick living
- 17:01Speaker 1: in a dozen eggs. There is no possible way that this.
- 17:05Speaker 1: The temperature and my freezers are as ripe above freezing.
- 17:08Speaker 1: There's no chickens or fragile creature in the first place.
- 17:12Speaker 1: You can't have a little bird is not gonna survive
- 17:15Speaker 1: the transport from the farm to the factory to my store.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I'm not wed. Hey, hey, hey, I'm not gonna go
- 17:24Speaker 1: back and forth. But you remember that baby bullshit you
- 17:27Speaker 1: If you want to bring me a dozen eggs, bring
- 17:29Speaker 1: the dozen eggs in if you can catch the chick,
- 17:32Speaker 1: catch the chick. Hey, man, you came you. You're supposed
- 17:34Speaker 1: to be the manager. You're not supposed to talk to
- 17:36Speaker 1: me like this. So I mean, I don't tell you
- 17:38Speaker 1: as politely as possible. If you want to bring in
- 17:41Speaker 1: the lemon eggs and a chick, I will gladly refrige
- 17:45Speaker 1: your money, give you another car, and ask whatever you
- 17:47Speaker 1: want to do. But I'm not I don't even tell
- 17:48Speaker 1: you what's gonna happen. And I'm not all a lawsuit
- 17:50Speaker 1: because y'all to traumatized me and my chi. So listen,
- 17:55Speaker 1: all right, let's just bring this down a lawsuit, sir.
- 17:58Speaker 1: It over a dozen eggs, a dozen eggs that got
- 18:04Speaker 1: a baby chick in it. Man, But let let me
- 18:07Speaker 1: get your phone number and some information, and I will
- 18:09Speaker 1: talk to my manager and we will figure this thing
- 18:12Speaker 1: out for you, because I just I just don't believe
- 18:15Speaker 1: that this would be possible. I just I don't understand
- 18:18Speaker 1: how you would have chicken. Let him, let just leave
- 18:21Speaker 1: him over that, don't touch the chicken. I just don't
- 18:25Speaker 1: believe that this could possibly be happy to sir, this
- 18:27Speaker 1: is just it's unbelievable to me to even get this phone.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I don't have time to go back and forth with
- 18:33Speaker 1: you about how something happened. All I know is it
- 18:37Speaker 1: maybe it's some fluke accident. Okay, But it happened. My
- 18:40Speaker 1: kids are old here playing with a baby chick, and
- 18:44Speaker 1: I'm trauma tawd. I don't even want to ever have
- 18:46Speaker 1: brick but up again, and I'm gonna to make shoke.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I file a lawsuit on your show and your show me.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I don't scise anything to do with me. I didn't
- 18:56Speaker 1: do anything, uh except coming to rug today. Do you
- 19:00Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying? If you're a far lossing Okay,

- 42:16Speaker 1: authoritarian schlick talking street cub on television, barking at people

- 45:08Speaker 1: You're a friend of my mother's. Yeah, yeah, mister Reggie.
- 45:11Speaker 1: She's never she's never mentioned me before. No she okay?
- 45:14Speaker 1: Everything cool? Oh no, no, no, your mom is good.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Let me let me tell you what's happening. So you
- 45:17Speaker 1: you're getting ready to graduate. You're feeling to get your masters, right, yeah,
- 45:20Speaker 1: I'm giving my MBA. Okay. First of all, let me
- 45:22Speaker 1: just say congratulations to you. I'm proud of you. Your
- 45:25Speaker 1: mom been telling me about the whole journey, you know,
- 45:28Speaker 1: from from undergrad to getting your you know, you're getting
- 45:32Speaker 1: your masters in business. So I just want to commit
- 45:35Speaker 1: you and say congratulations. All right, thank you, brother. I
- 45:37Speaker 1: appreciate that. But your mom aint never she ain't never
- 45:40Speaker 1: mentioned mister Reggie to you. Huh No, sorry, bro, Okay,
- 45:45Speaker 1: I got a little a situation that we got here. Man.
- 45:48Speaker 1: You know, I've been seeing your mom for probably you know,
- 45:51Speaker 1: five six years now, and I just that's yeah. Yeah,
- 45:55Speaker 1: So it kind of puzzles me that she never brought
- 45:57Speaker 1: up mister Reggie to you. No, I was brought up
- 46:00Speaker 1: the name mister Reggie. You know, I didn't even know
- 46:02Speaker 1: she is dating. To be honest with you, Okay, So
- 46:05Speaker 1: when you started undergrad, I'm the person that you know,
- 46:08Speaker 1: stepped up and gave your mom some money so she
- 46:11Speaker 1: could put you through school. You know, I knew she
- 46:13Speaker 1: needed some money to get you through school and started out,
- 46:16Speaker 1: you know, like I guess around your freshman year. So
- 46:18Speaker 1: I stepped up and you know, helped your mom out. Man.
- 46:22Speaker 1: This is bugged out, bro, because hold on, you're telling
- 46:25Speaker 1: me you gave my mother the money, because she told
- 46:27Speaker 1: me she got a couple of actual jobs on the
- 46:29Speaker 1: side to get some money to face for school. I'm
- 46:31Speaker 1: the person that stepped up and through your undergrad I'm
- 46:36Speaker 1: the one gave your mom the moneys for you can
- 46:39Speaker 1: go to school, and I knew when you graduated from
- 46:42Speaker 1: undergrad and then she came back told me you're getting
- 46:45Speaker 1: ready to do grad school and I stepped up some more.
- 46:48Speaker 1: Here's one I'm getting that. Man, I'm not even calling
- 46:50Speaker 1: mister Reggie mister Reggie and called you want me to
- 46:53Speaker 1: give you some money when I get a job? No, no,
- 46:57Speaker 1: nothing like that. So here's a deal. Man, I didn't
- 47:00Speaker 1: give your mom all this money for six years. Now
- 47:03Speaker 1: here it is now you've been to graduate. And now
- 47:06Speaker 1: that you've fen to graduation, she called herself, wont to
- 47:09Speaker 1: break up with me? So I mean, I don't know
- 47:12Speaker 1: nothing about that. That's between y'alls. B I mean, what
- 47:15Speaker 1: do you want me to do? What I wanted to? Have?
- 47:17Speaker 1: You heard your name before, so I mean, and I
- 47:19Speaker 1: understand that, but what I'm saying, what I'm getting that
- 47:21Speaker 1: is just right here. I would like for you to
- 47:23Speaker 1: least call your mama and say something to it on
- 47:26Speaker 1: my behalf, because you know, come on, man, I didn't
- 47:28Speaker 1: put six years in put you all the way through school,
- 47:31Speaker 1: and now your behalf I really don't. I mean, I
- 47:35Speaker 1: don't know you. I mean, what do you want me
- 47:37Speaker 1: to say on your behalf, but you don't understand what
- 47:40Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell you. David, mister Reggie and stuck
- 47:42Speaker 1: his neck out for you for the last six years.
- 47:44Speaker 1: You see what I'm saying. Listen, man, I don't even
- 47:47Speaker 1: know you. You're calling me out the blue talking about
- 47:50Speaker 1: you gave my mama some money and doing up for
- 47:52Speaker 1: five years. I don't know you. I never heard your name,

- 48:27Speaker 1: Like I don't know why y'all broke up. I don't
- 48:28Speaker 1: know nothing about that. Maybe and then you called me
- 48:31Speaker 1: out the blue and I don't even know you. She
- 48:33Speaker 1: never mentioned you. At least you at least you can
- 48:35Speaker 1: do what's call on my behalf and say hey, what's
- 48:38Speaker 1: going on? With you, nobody's gonna have I don't know

- 53:57Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on type. We got it for
- 53:59Speaker 1: you here. It is Strawberry letter subject Petty Betty strikes again.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a thirty nine year old married
- 54:08Speaker 1: woman and I've been friends with a nutcase for over
- 54:11Speaker 1: twenty years. We fall out all of the time because
- 54:14Speaker 1: she's a drama queen and she creates conflict where there
- 54:17Speaker 1: should be none. I'm a professor and she's in financial
- 54:21Speaker 1: aid at the college we attended. I got a job
- 54:23Speaker 1: there first and she came later. She is in a
- 54:27Speaker 1: management role, but she has not gotten a raise or
- 54:30Speaker 1: a promotion in five years. She blames everyone but herself,
- 54:34Speaker 1: and it is amazing to see how she goes through
- 54:37Speaker 1: life like everyone is Craig Craig except for her. I
- 54:40Speaker 1: stopped talking to her for four years because I told
- 54:43Speaker 1: her something in confidence and she joked with my husband
- 54:46Speaker 1: about it. He pulled his groin muscle, and we couldn't
- 54:49Speaker 1: have sex for a month or so. She thought that
- 54:51Speaker 1: it was fine to tell him if he didn't get
- 54:54Speaker 1: his thing back in shape, I was going to step
- 54:57Speaker 1: out on him. A lot of dumb stuff comes out
- 55:00Speaker 1: of her mouth all the time. At work, she's offended
- 55:03Speaker 1: so many people. She's loud talked her coworkers and caused
- 55:07Speaker 1: them to get ridden up. Just recently, she got hit
- 55:11Speaker 1: across the head with a book by this woman that
- 55:13Speaker 1: snuck out of work early. She asked the lady's boss
- 55:16Speaker 1: if she'd let her staff go early because she's noticed
- 55:20Speaker 1: that particular woman pulling out of the parking lot. It's
- 55:23Speaker 1: a whole bunch of petty mess that keeps me from
- 55:25Speaker 1: getting too close to her. My husband can't stand her,
- 55:28Speaker 1: and my gay best friend calls her petty betty because
- 55:31Speaker 1: she's constantly making inappropriate comments about his lifestyle. I think
- 55:36Speaker 1: she wanted to be a comedian and her career never
- 55:39Speaker 1: took off, so she tries her weird commentary on her acquaintances.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I'm trying to deal with her because she has a
- 55:45Speaker 1: good heart. How can I reel her in so she'll
- 55:48Speaker 1: stop being so petty? This woman has grown. What are
- 55:53Speaker 1: you talking about? How do you reel her in? I mean,
- 55:56Speaker 1: why are you still friends with this woman? Is my question.
- 55:59Speaker 1: I mean she sounds like a horrible person. I don't
- 56:02Speaker 1: see any reason you shouldn't cut her out. She's not nice.
- 56:07Speaker 1: You can be friendly, but not friends with this person.
- 56:11Speaker 1: You even called her yourself an acquaintance. You can love
- 56:14Speaker 1: her from a distance. She's just too inappropriate. I mean
- 56:18Speaker 1: you haven't personally been on the other end of her
- 56:22Speaker 1: pettiness like some of these other people, but your husband
- 56:25Speaker 1: certainly has. I mean, she's got to go. How do
- 56:28Speaker 1: you trust her with telling her anything? I mean, how
- 56:32Speaker 1: can you really have a conversation with her? She's already
- 56:35Speaker 1: told your husband something crazy. You stopped talking to her
- 56:39Speaker 1: for four years. There is such a thing as outgrowing
- 56:43Speaker 1: a person, you know, and I think you two have
- 56:45Speaker 1: reached that point. As we get older, we should, you know,
- 56:48Speaker 1: be trying to simplify our lives, getting rid of toxic stuff,
- 56:53Speaker 1: negative people, bad energy. You need to do that with
- 56:56Speaker 1: Petty Betty By Petty Betty, Steve Well, my take on
- 57:03Speaker 1: this letter is it almost you know, we've just had
- 57:07Speaker 1: a rash of it. Don't make no sense letters. I
- 57:11Speaker 1: think I think the Strawberry letter has fallen into modern times,
- 57:18Speaker 1: kind of like the internet and stuff. So now we
- 57:20Speaker 1: have these, you know, Dan, you know Strawbay letters ushould
- 57:24Speaker 1: kind of be fun sometimes and you're now we've fallen
- 57:28Speaker 1: into this new age thing. A reflection of the world. Yeah,
- 57:32Speaker 1: reflection of the world. But this is an old problem
- 57:34Speaker 1: because everybody knows somebody messy. Now we can call it
- 57:38Speaker 1: patty betty, but this really messy oh she is is messing.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Now you're friends with this woman, which is crazy to me.
- 57:46Speaker 1: I've been friends with a nutcase for twenty years. How right?
- 57:53Speaker 1: I just can't see that lasting. As a matter of fact,
- 57:56Speaker 1: they didn't because you say she's a drama creates conflict
- 58:02Speaker 1: for that shouldn't be nugged. You're a professor at the college.
- 58:05Speaker 1: She in the financial aide department, she's in the manager role.
- 58:09Speaker 1: She's been there for five years. She ain't gotten a
- 58:11Speaker 1: raise or promotion in five years because she messy, you know.
- 58:17Speaker 1: And now and now she claimed she blamed everybody but herself.
- 58:20Speaker 1: And it's an amazing to see how she go through
- 58:23Speaker 1: life like everybody crazy except her. That's the main you know,
- 58:29Speaker 1: what I've discovered. That's one of the main characteristics of
- 58:32Speaker 1: crazy people. What is that? One of the main characterisk
- 58:38Speaker 1: is the crazy people is they don't know. They don't
- 58:41Speaker 1: know they're crazy. They think it's everybody else. That's us
- 58:45Speaker 1: dead giveaway that they had stone crazy. This everybody I
- 58:52Speaker 1: know that something wrong with them. They don't know nothing
- 58:54Speaker 1: wrong with them. Then here is again, Now here's how
- 59:00Speaker 1: know that's something wrong with you? Lady that wrote this letter,
- 59:03Speaker 1: Because you just said you've been friends with a nutcase
- 59:06Speaker 1: for over twenty years. You said, I stopped talking to
- 59:09Speaker 1: her for four years because I told her something in
- 59:12Speaker 1: confidence and she joked with my husband about it. Right there,
- 59:17Speaker 1: You stopped talking to this woman for four years. Well
- 59:21Speaker 1: what drew you back in? What part of the nuttiness?
- 59:25Speaker 1: What did you miss it? Oh? You know, I just
- 59:29Speaker 1: missed her nuttiness, said no one ever. Yeah, I just missed.
- 59:37Speaker 1: You're so petty and messy and you're nutty in you.
- 59:41Speaker 1: I can't confide in you and grabbed My life just
- 59:46Speaker 1: been going so good for four years. I just want
- 59:49Speaker 1: that drama back. That's what has happened. So you know,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: it's just been that's that's just all right, hang on.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: When I come back, I'm gonna finish this last. Yeah,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: we'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. The subjects up today's letter,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Patty Betty strikes again. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: after this you're listening show? All right, come on, Steve,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is Petty Betty
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: strikes again. So we got this thirty nine year old
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: man woman that wrote us, and she'd been friends with
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: this nutcase for over twenty years. I've said this before.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Why would you be friends for twenty years with somebody
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: that you know is a nutcase? She's a drama queen.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: She creates conflicts where it shouldn't be none. Now, this
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: lady that wrote in as a professor at the college.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Her girlfriend that's the nutcase works in the financial department
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: at the college, and she blames everybody but herself for
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: her mistake. She mad at the school because they ain't
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: gave her raising, five years or promotion, and she thinks
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: everybody it's crazy except her. I must remind you that
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I have found in my life that the number one
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: characteristic I know about crazy people is. They don't know
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: they answer his crazy. That's the first dead giveaway. They
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: don't think that they answer is crazy. So now, as
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I said before, I don't know why you be friends
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: with a person twenty years. Guess what she's saying now.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I stopped talking to it for four years because I
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: told her something in confidence and she joked with my
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: husband about it. He pulled his growing muscle and we
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: couldn't have sex for a month or so. She thought
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: it was fine to tell him if he didn't give
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: his thing back in shape, that I was gonna step
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: out on him. A lot of dumb stuff comes out
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: of her mouth all the time. So let me ask
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: you the question, lady, So you was not her friend
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: for four years? What did you miss the drama? Did
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: you miss the craziness? Did you miss how messy she was?
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: What was your life just going too smooth? And you said, man,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I just need someone some BS back in my life.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Let me call Betty because all is going on by
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: my business ain't no drama. And you bought it back
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: and she did not let you down. At work, she's
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: offended so many people. She loud talks over her coworkers
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: caused them to get ridden up. Recently, she got hid
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: across the head with a book by a woman that
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: snuck out of work early. She called the ladies boss
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: and said she let her staff go because she noticed
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: this woman pulling out of the pocket lot. See now
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: out of busted your outside your heare, But it'd been
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: way more than a book anyway. My husband can't staying
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: here with the juicy party the letter. My husband can't
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: staying her, and my gay best friend calls her petty
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: betty because she's constantly making an inappropriate comment about his lifestyle.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: You know good in here? Well, I'm gonna skip right
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: over that because I like my job in my career.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Moving on, So she tries her weird commentary on her acquaintances.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to deal with her because she has a
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: good heart, don't she said another line in here, I
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: think she wanted to be a comedian in her career.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Never too, I ain't seen nothing funny in this letter?
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: How can I read her heard? So she'll stop being
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: so messy. Let me just say this, how do you
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: keep but why do you say you have a bad judgment?
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: You say she has a good heart. She does stupid
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: stuff all the time. People good hearts don't do stupid stuff,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: and don't nobody like her except you. So you're getting
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: exactly what you deserve. You brought her back in your life.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: You're talking to her for four years. Put petty Betty
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: back when you got her from them four years? Why
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: do you have to be her friend? M Why you know?
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: And please leave this section in the letter that I
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: read what my husband can't stay at her and my
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: gay best friend calls her petty betty because she's constantly
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: making inappropriate comments about his lifestyle. Please leave that in there.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: And let me make note again that I have skipped
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: over this part again that I did not make now
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: comment about this. Why because I love my job and
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: my career right here? Absolutely correct? Because she is petty,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: asked Betty. All right, thank you, Steve. Leave your comments.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Oh we gotta ad minute that I half love. Oh
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: thought I I thought I was out of the time.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Oh I got time. Then, Well let me tell you
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: what I really think this. Yeah, your friend is petty
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Betty and you joking? Ask Joe Anne, y'all's perfect for
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: each other. She needs a person like you who can
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: tolerate all of her, biss, put up with her, conflict,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: take her trash, almost break up your marriage. That's why
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: your husband don't like her. Your husband don't like her,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: and your gay friend don't like her. There's two really
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: good people not to have like a person for you
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: to join on the bandwagon. Your husband don't like her
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: and you gay best friend don't like What more proof
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: do you need? Both of your lord have mercy, all
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: of me in your life. Don't know body like her?
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Accept you. I bet if you had kids, they wouldn't
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: like her. Your boss don't like her, the co workers
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: don't like I'm why is she your friend? I just
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: gotta ask you that. Yeah her? So listen, Petty Betty
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: exists because you joking as Joanne, and you gotta get
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: you allow joking as Joey and need to quit hanging
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: out with Petty Betty before pissed off. Paul gets in
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: there with sensitive signing and leave your comments on Today's
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter on Instagram at Steve Harvey FM and check
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. Thank you No
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Coming up next it is Sports Talk with Junior. Right
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning show. It is
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: time now for sports talk with Junior whoa junior God,

- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Spart breaks off Carolina all right, man, It's looking less
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: likely that de Sean Watson will be on the field
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: for September left for the Cleveland Browns against the Carolina Panthers.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: He is facing two mo lawsuits. I don't know where
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: if I had to come front, bringing the total to
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: twenty six. These new alegations will also be looked into
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: by the NFL and will likely the lay the outcome
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: of the ongoing investigations. Watson face of potential suspension that
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: is set to be handed down this summer. Now. Early
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: this month, it was reported that Watson booked massage sessions
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: with at least sixty six women over a span of
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: seventeen months. The New York Times reports also note that
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the Houston based spot and the Texas franchise enabled the
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Massages habit uh the Massage habit and provided the facilities
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: with non disclosure agreements for his sessions, so we don't
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: know if he's gonna see the field this season. Two
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: things I don't like about your little I know you
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: know now what I don't like. First of all, take
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the joy out your voice. That sound like he ain't
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: gonna be playing this year for the Cleveland Brown because
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: your ass was crying when he was in texts he
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: ain't gonna be playing this season. Yeah, well, you know
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: you're gonna take the little happiness out your damn voice
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: about it. It's what you need to do. And me,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: people are innocent in this country into food. I don't
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: know why the other two women came from the same
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: place other ones was from from the spas. That's why
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: they came from the spa sessions gonna be all right, Steve,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: I'm not gonna win this year though. Yeah, well we
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: know who the hell ain't gonna win for show. I
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: can't believe didn't take your hand off your chick. All right, well,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: let's take congratulations right now. Up to the Golden State
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Wards for winning the championship for closing out light scale
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: within problem said that, but the light skied didn't again him,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: so the state alors Man, that's all right. Ain't nothing
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: wrong with that man exactly, Play Thompson, Raymond Green, Andrew Wiggins,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Pool gotta get it up a pool pooh, George Pool
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: got he is man? They pulled game? Yeah, yeah, six
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: games put up? All right, amen, manu. And then you know,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: eat forty going crazy right now? You don't eat? Yeah, yes,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: too short, all of them in the yay area. Everybody
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: all right, ya ya junior. Coming up next, we got
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: to talk about the way we look. Do we hate
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: the way we look? Does it make you feel anything? Breast?
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to show.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: Here's the question for the guys. Are you ever insecure?
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: In secure keyword when it comes to your looks. A
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: new study found that eighty percent of men are insecure
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: about their physical appearance. Uh waight and how your eyes
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: look are among the top things that take that make
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: men feel insecure. The number one concern for men is
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: going gray and the pressure to look younger. So I'm
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: asking you, guys, Is this true? And what are you
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: most insecure about in regards to how you look? No, well,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: eighty percent of men are, so you're in the comment
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I'm the sexist thing on him and the sexist thing walking.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: So you're not so you you're not insecure about what? Okay? Cool?
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Now let me comment. We have two people on this
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: show who should be in this eighty percent of insecure people.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: But there's obviously there as a percentage of people as
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: in denial. I'm not. I'm not in denying. You need
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: to start to feeling some kind of way back both, y'all. Look,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: no way, I'm not I know my ass ugly. That's
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: all I was saying. You thought I would think I
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: was sexy out with him? Oh no, I don't have
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: the problem. Should be dealing with two extremes. Yeah, you
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: know you ugly? This one don't know he ugly. That's scary.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be ugly for you because y'all ugly.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Why I'm not gonna do that first of all? Ugly? No,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: I'm not keyword is like, but you're supposed to feel
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: good about yourself, like I feel real good about myself, Shirley.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: These two however, Yeah, they just I don't know what
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: what happens in the mirror when they don't like what
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: what was that last seving? You don't know what happens
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: where when I when when y'all look in the mirrle
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: in the mirror? Then that not a problem. We have
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: obvious the problem. Obviously he ain't tall enough to look
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: in the middle, so you don't know what happened. You
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: need to put some steps toos in front of damn
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: mirror so you start getting a real view of horse
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: going on. But it didn't say height. It said the
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: men are insecure about their weight and how their eyes
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: look those among the toy Yeah, well, yeah, I don't
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: stand myself in the mirror like that. Everybody got that
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: one eye that's a little bit bigger than the other.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: What everybody got look in the mirror? You got one
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: eye figgured though, and you figured in your right eye.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Both my eyes is the same side both my sorry,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: me and Junior can both tell you that your left
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: eye is bigger. If you stared at it close enough,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: it starts to look like side. What about I know
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: you and Tommy Steve don't have this problem. But the
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: number one concern for men is going gray and the
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: pressure to look younger. I got all right, okay, Now
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: this leads to this next story. Another study found that
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: staring at yourself during video calls puts you in a
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: bad mood. All right. It's called zoom gloom, and it
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: suggests that if we focus on other faces on the screen,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: your mood won't change. Now, this is according to researchers.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: The more you stare at yourself, the worse your mood gets.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: When you stare at yourself, the study indicated that more
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: self focused can lead to anxiety and even depression. So
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: have you ever looked at yourself and gotten depressed? That's
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: part two? Someday someday, if you're being honest, yes, that's somebody.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I don't even know how I got a girlfriend? I
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: don't even do you have all these ugly moments like
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: this all the time. What's wrong? Tell me what you're saying?
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: How do they have these ugly moments all the time
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: saying how much you? How you? And such a denial
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: though had in moments your ability to sit here on
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: this zoom and I'm looking dead at you going on,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: how you don't see what we all see? Mandy, what
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: do you see on zoom when you're looking at me?
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: What do you see coming? Oh? Man, I gotta go
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: tell me. I'm sorry. When we come back, we'll have
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, we're

- 1:16:05Speaker 1: love straw and that's what I do. I crush up
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: the strawberries there. I either freeze them or whatever. Put
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: a little, you know, a little sugar in them, freeze
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: them up, put them in the strawberry Dacorie. Put all
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: that in the blender. You got yourself something. We'll have

- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Be lying? Though? Hey, you rather be married to a
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: compulsive liar? You? Yeah, all the time, I'm lying A
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: damn watch this here, whate to me what happened? Lie
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: to me? And watch what I do. You're just being
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: a lietoping contest. Who can give the best? I gotta
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: go to the Steve. I gotta go to the doctor
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: to day. What you gotta do. Oh, I'm going to
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: the doctor too. I gotta go down there too. Damn.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: We got dogs deployments on the same day. Look here,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: say something. I took you a delicious meal? Oh baby,

- 1:19:21Speaker 1: our last break of the day on this Friday, and
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: we'll have some inspiring closing remarks from the one and
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey coming up at forty nine minutes after
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to show, all right, guys,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: here we are last break of the day on this
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: holiday weekend. This is a holiday we're not used to celebrating,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: but it is here. We're talking about Juneteenth. Of course,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: it is Father's Day this weekend. Happy Father's Day, you guys,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Thank you Tommy, Father's Day, Tommy everyone. That's part of
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: my closing remarks today too. Because I think about this
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: role of fatherhood and manhood, and I'm really grateful to
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: God that He's put it on me to try to
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: remember those that don't have fathers. Well, everybody has a father,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong. Everybody don't have a daddy. And
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Father's Day really should be for fathers and for daddy's
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: You know, any man can be a father, Any man
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: can father a child. All you gotta do is have
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: the act of sex and then nature takes his course
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: and you become a father. But it's that man that
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: stays there and handles his responsibility, that does what's been
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: set upon him, and has lived up to the creed,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: honored the code, and dealt with everything that comes with
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: being a father, and he's become a dad to somebody.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I take my hat off to those men that are
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: real men that take care of their family and their children.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: I take my hat off to those men who have
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: stepped in. So many men who they got that who
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: they called step fathers, and who then steps and stepped
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: into the lives of children whose fathers for whatever reason
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: is not around and fulfil the role and giving these children.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: So many men have given other children an opportunity to
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: have somebody to call daddy that they can feel safe with.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: So I want to thank those men right there. Those
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: are really some special men out there, man who stepped
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: up and feel the roles of some lesser man who
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: walked off or got sent off or whatever your excuse was.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: But you're not there, you know, and and and and
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: and you're not doing your job. And some man that
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: stepped in and feel the role as a special cat.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: But also with all of that being said about fathers
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: and Fathers Day, on this Father's Day, I will be
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: spending it down at the camp as I've done well.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: We missed COVID Because of COVID, we had to do
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: our camps of virtual on zoom. But this Father's Day
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: we're back to business. And on this Father's Day, I
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: will be spending it with two hundred and fifty daddy
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: less boys. They got fathers somewhere, but they're not active
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: in their life. So I bring in a bunch of
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: men from all over the country to sit with these
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: young men and talk about two things, dreams and manhood.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: The two most important things for these kids to understand
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: is the ability to dream, to see beyond your current
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: set of circumstances and to understand what real manhood is. Now,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: here's the deal. I put it in front of these
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: young boys, a lot of men who didn't have their
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: daddies around when they were growing up, because I've got
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: to get these boys to understand that there is hope
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: for you even though he's not there. That's it going
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: to be difficult without him, or you best believe it will.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: But if I can provide you a role mother, a mentor,
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: somebody that you can pick the phone up and ask
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: those delicate questions too, that you can ask those hard
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: questions too that you can't ask your mother. See as
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: incredible as single mothers are when they're trying to raise
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: these boys in such a daunting task, because these young
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: men have problems and situations that they can't really ask
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: their mother about. The mother don't have the answer. So
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: when we are able to hold these mentoring camps and
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: a boy walks out of here with a phone number
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: of a grown man that he can now call his
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: big brother or his mentor, it changes lives. And just
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: the other day I saw a life get changed in
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: a matter of a week. If you go on my
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: page and go back a couple of days, you'll see
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: this kid that has no shirt on playing the drums
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: till one of the songs about fifty cents. And I
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: saw this on Instagram somewhere, and I just took it
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: and reposted it. Little did I know that this young
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: man was going through some things and he was thinking
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: about giving up. And when I posted it, see the
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: way I gotta tell the story is kind of backwards.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: When he posted it, it was an answer to a prayer,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: because little did I know, just the night before he
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: was on his knees crying out to God, help me
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: show me something. Man, I'm fitting to give up. Man,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: don't nobody even know I'm out here, and I'm just
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: I'm doing this right here, he said, And then Steve
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Harvey posted it. The way I found that out was
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: because I asked somebody to find this boy, and they
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: found it for the woman named Page who's to direct
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: the My Foundation. She lives in Baltimore. Just so happened
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: this kid was from Baltimore. Just so happened she was
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: in Baltimore. She calls him up, he comes down, has
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: dinner with her. He said, his whole goal was to
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: ever meet Steve Harvey because I've been his mentor in
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: his inspiration. So she invited him to the golf tournament
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: the other day to surprise him, to let him see
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: that he was playing the drums and see if he
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: would be good enough to be on the Steve Harvey Show.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: He didn't even know I was there. When he got
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: through giving this emotional testimony that you can see online
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: on my ig. I stood up and hugged the boy
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: and couldn't let him go, and we was both standing
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: in that crime. Mentoring works, teaching kids to dream, work,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: teaching children that prayer works. Real men go to church,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: real men go to school, real men honor God, real
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: men take care of their children, and prayd changes things.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: Prad change people too. This young man's life will forever
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: be changed. And he walked out of there with two mentors.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: That's what mentoring does. His father's day meant to somebody,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: start with your own. For all Steve Harvey contests, no
