The number of people buying fake weight loss drugs online has more than doubled in the last year.Health Products Regulatory Authority figures show a 14 per cent increase in the overall seizure of illegal medicines over the last 12 months.The Irish Pharmacy Union is expressing concern over the numbers, which reveal 568 medicines were ordered online in 2023 climbing to 1,582 in 2024.Tom Murray, IPU President says people are using online medicines outside the advice of their doctor, and Tom joins us on The Agenda this morning to tell us more about this.
