It's still been a lot of blue skies for me. ⁓ I come in with a speaker-1: Welcome to the ooze. speaker-0: Covered some of these teams ⁓ besides the Knicks in some time. And we wanna thank everybody who took us took that journey with us while we went through the finals. It was probably one of the best things that I think could have came out for me and you doing this show, ⁓ to go through that ride together and just be able to see our Knicks win a championship. ⁓ but now we got other things to talk about. We got the draft, we got MLB, we got, you know, ⁓ moves happening in the ⁓ MBA. Right. Brother, let's let's bring people home and let them see what we also cover because we have so much to cover besides the next two. speaker-1: Yeah, we got a lot. We got a lot to cover today, but we're gonna start off with our Knicks right now. Guys, I know the draft is taking place. The Knicks, as of right now, the Knicks are having they will have the first pick ⁓ in the second round. Guys, if you guys notice something, right? There is a ⁓ a sponsor that's right above us, right here. That's splex one, baby. Shout out to Splex one. ⁓ You know, being the first official sponsor, believing in us. ⁓ and we'll let you know more about them ⁓ as the show progresses, guys. But shout out to Splex1. I wanted to highlight that first, ⁓ before anything. ⁓ brother, I want to talk about first the parade. Guys, if if the Knicks do pick thir thirty one, we'll let you guys know. I wanna talk about the parade first, but I was at the parade last week. Crazy, crazy, crazy. You see the videos, people walling, you saw the girl twerking on the thing and they were fighting and all that. I'm gonna tell you this right now, y'all. From the rip. I can only speak from my experience. From my experience only. Yeah. speaker-0: Quick, really quick. ⁓ this is the breaking news right from Shams. ⁓ the New York Knicks are trading the numbers thirty ⁓ first and fifty-five pick to the Houston Rockets for number thirty nine and fifty-three and the twenty twenty nine Kings second rounder. The moves begin for the night two of the NBA draft. speaker-1: So look that that ⁓ yeah yeah we're gonna get into that yeah we're gonna cover that shout out to you brother for that so the Nick Parade obviously ⁓ over two million people went. ⁓ I had a great experience man. I ⁓ you know as you guys saw the the the short that Dave made, ⁓ I I got to interview a lot of cool people. speaker-0: We'll we'll cover that more. Yeah. speaker-1: Our section was really cool and unified. Everybody was a Knicks fan. Nobody was there trying to troll. Everybody was ⁓ kind to one another. Everybody was like, hey, listen, we all was here at six in the morning. You know, we've all been standing for five, six hours. The last thing we want to do is act stupid and cause a ruckus where we're getting the rest of the kicked out. ⁓ it was amazing. Yes, was it a long morning? But shout outs to everybody that I was with: Ness, stretch, hoover. John, Chris, Jonathan, man, it was everybody. Michelle, we was, we was crew deep. And shout out to everybody that ⁓ that subscribed to the page. Shout out to those that it that that were interviewed and wanted to be interviewed. I appreciate y'all so much. ⁓ you know what I mean? So that was cool. We had a heck of a time, though, man. ⁓ we had a heck of a time. I I'll be honest, man. I like those videos that you see in New York while and out, ⁓ that wasn't our experience. That wasn't our experience. speaker-0: And sometimes that is the New York experience. Sometimes that is the New York experience, but speaker-1: Times of the day. I'll tell you this though. ⁓ I was tapped in with the news. I was tapped in with Mayor Mom Donnie ⁓ before all this was going on. And I'm gonna be honest, they were very transparent with it. They said they're letting people in at 6 a.m. Right? They're checking people at 6 a.m. Get there earlier. There were people upset because you got to the parade at 7:30, 8 o'clock, and you couldn't get in. That's that's no one's fault but yours. I know. My crew, we we all met up at 5 a.m. We got there well before 7 a.m. We got there, we got there before even 6 a.m. We got there probably I w I wanna say like a quarter to six. We were at our spot. So ⁓ I know the spot we were at, they closed it off 7 15. That's it. They already kind of closed it off. It was like, yo, we're not doing this. ⁓ but the parade was nice. It was a great time. Obviously y'all saw what Jaden Brunson said. Jaden Brunson had to shut out the critics. ⁓ speaking to one of the biggest critics, Becky Hammond, brother. Becky Hammond finally finally said sorry. Said sorry. Becky Hammond, i it took her a while. speaker-0: She says something. I wouldn't take it as an apology. speaker-1: It took all right, so now that you mentioned that, we're gonna play it. We're gonna we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna play ⁓ her response because I thought the same thing. I thought the same exact thing, especially ⁓ here, hold on. I just had it now I lost it. ⁓ my god. Because at first she was very hesitant. ⁓ she was ⁓ didn't say anything. She was one of the last ones, Candace Parker and all of them were ⁓ apologizing. It's funny because Before we get to the Becky Hammond, all these people now, they want to blame ⁓ the live with stopping is like jumping around. Okay. ⁓ that's that's not on our end. I'm sorry, y'all. Sorry, ⁓ have patience with us. ⁓ it's working f ⁓ it's work ⁓ is it working out? Guys, is the live working out? Let us know in the chat. speaker-0: Or sorry, that's that's something we can't control. That's more you two speaker-1: Yeah, it's probably YouTube. Sorry guys. For those that are tapped in on on Instagram, y'all, you already know what to do. Hit the link in the bio. ⁓ tap it on the YouTube side. Like, share, and subscribe, y'all, if you haven't already. But yeah, you got people that that, you know, the ones that are hating on the Knicks, you know, they want to blame the fan base. And I and I feel that's so corny, bro. I feel that's so corny. ⁓ but this is Becky Hammond's apology, and let's see if you guys agree with Dave. The ⁓ this was her before her team got their ass bust by the Liberty. speaker-0: right, we'll start with some questions in the room and then we'll head to Zoom if we have some time. ⁓ when I need speaker-1: I have to I have a comment. ⁓ to start. I was wrong. I was wrong. My opinion was wrong. Okay, let's go. Very condescending. Very. obviously she's trolling. ⁓ Look, at the end of the day, I a a lot of people a lot of Nick fans wanted that. A lot of a lot of Nick fans wanted the apology from Becky Hammond. As, you know, obviously hers were ⁓ hers was probably the biggest one because obviously the whole one a thing or whatever like that. But yeah, it's very condescending. It it like, you know, it's it's ego, bro. It's people's ego that they just can't go and say, Hey, I was wrong. But, you know, she gotta make a little joke of it and and it's whatever. But She's I speaker-0: I mean she said it and then she f you know it's it's it's following up from what she already had said, which is basically Jalen, all he did was prove history wrong. He proves he's an outlier. Right. He proves he's an outlier. So you can put his name next to Steph Curry and Isaiah Thomas. And I thought he played brilliantly and especially down the stretch. I mean, he was that one A dude, but like apologize, I'm never gonna apologize for having an opinion. That's what ESPN pays me for. She still didn't apologize, she just said she was wrong. Which is, you know what, whatever. Like, I honestly. speaker-1: Four. Right. speaker-0: I do not care about Becky Hammond. I do not care because the Knicks are celebrating a championship victory. I don't care what she had to say. I know there are people who are gonna be a stickler for that. They want the apology. They want it just as loud as the the criticism. But I personally me, if you're asking David Vega, I don't care. speaker-1: Yeah. ⁓ just said I'd rather her not say anything. I agree. I agree. ⁓ Joey, I mean you also couldn't have predicted Jalen to be a true. That is true, but I'll say this, just to play devil's advocate. Those comments weren't set when Jalen Brunson was just signed. Those comments were set in Jalen Brunson's second year after he dropped forty a game against the the Miami Heat ⁓ in the first round, propelled them past Cleveland. speaker-0: That is speaker-1: So he kind of showed that he can lead the Knicks. He led the Knicks to the second round for the first time since 2012. Those comments were set in the middle of his second season with the Knicks. I can see if those comments were set in the very beginning when he got signed. Then I could be like, okay, but he just showed one. And this was coming off that I think that argument also, they were also kind of like picking Donovan Mitchell. And it's like, bro, Jalen Brunson just eliminated Donovan Mitchell the year prior. So I think, I think at that time, like, If I I agree, he's he's right. Jalen Brunson also got better and better. He's gotten even better. But at that time when she sent those comments, Jalen Brunson was already an all star with the Knicks. You know what I mean? So ⁓ yeah, but it is it is some truth to it too as well. So yeah, I would agree with ⁓ Joey. But we got more comments holding on, y'all. ⁓ if she really wanted to mean something, reach out to Jalen Brunson privately. True. speaker-0: And we don't know. And we don't know. Yeah. speaker-1: Yeah. ⁓ Nessa said, nah, she went at him in the public. Apologize in the public. Yep, 100%. I agree. ⁓ but guys, let's talk about it. Cause you know, now the championship, we can celebrate it all offseason. We can celebrate it to the day we all come and go. But ⁓ business, business gotta be had, y'all. ⁓ James Dolan was on the fan ⁓ what last week, and he said that they are not. speaker-0: Which we will. speaker-1: They will not be operating ⁓ on the second apron, guys. ⁓ this was his comments. ⁓ he was on the Carton show. and ⁓ this was his comments ⁓ regarding that, guys. And and this is big. This is big when it comes to free agency. This is big because ⁓ the Knicks are a team. ⁓ if they want to keep their guys, they may have to go over that second apron. This is similar to what the Yankees did this year, a run it back kind of sense. Or do you think there might be potentially based on individual contracts that while the core will be the core, do you think there's a chance that we have two, three, four player turnover or no? the first off, most of our guys are on a contract. Right. Right. The the ⁓ we have a couple of guys who are not. The ⁓ if we could bring back the whole team, right, exactly a as it is, I think we you know, why wouldn't you? Right. But I don't know if we're gonna be able to. Just contractually. Just contractually. And some guys are gonna get bigger paydays and good for that. I mean the the ⁓ you know, we're willing to s to stretch, right? But there's certain things in the NBA that you have to be, you know, suicidal to do and we're not gonna do those. The the one of 'em's called the second apron. Can cannot go it's cannot go into the second apron. Got it. ⁓ but you know, it's ⁓ But that's up to Leon, right? I I just he's making all the decisions. You're just choking checks, right? Yeah, I'm I you know I'm just telling him how big of a check I can write. Right. I'll write as big of a check as But I I can't write a a check that goes into the second A. Got it. We've had a pretty successful year financially. ⁓ He This is the this is the thing with Jim Dolan. You go and you say it's up to Leon. And then you go and say, well, it's certain checks that I can write and can't write. Brother, you can write the check if you wanted to. There have been teams that have won and they've gone over the second apron. The Boston Celtics is probably the most recent one. When they won, they gave an extension to ⁓ Drew Holiday. I believe they had gave an extension to ⁓ Derek White. A lot of them guys that got extensions. Now, obviously, they pivoted once ⁓ ⁓ the Tatum injury went and then the Knicks eliminated them. They pivoted that following offseason. But ⁓ owners have done it. Owners, owners, you know, will do it. You usually will do it when you run it back. Obviously, there's been reports ⁓ that the Knicks are not extending towns at the beginning of the season. ⁓ so I think that's something that you know to look out for. ⁓ Jose Alvarado did help out the Knicks. ⁓ because ⁓ Jose Alvarado needed to make a decision by June 22nd whether he was gonna opt in to his four point five million dollar ⁓ player ⁓ player option. He's moved that back now, ⁓ two days ⁓ from now to the 26th. So that allows the Knicks to fully assess the draft. And as as Dave highlighted before the show, guys, the Knicks traded out the first round one because that's gonna save them over three million dollars. So you can tell right now that Leon Rose is trying to make the most cost saving moves right now because the goal is, brother, to bring back and run it back. And you look at some of the guys that's available, that's that's in contact. I mean, not available, but free agent. You're looking at Jordan Clarkson, you're looking at Landry Shamit, and you're looking at big country Mitchell Robinson. Now, before I go to you, brother, on on your thoughts on that, ⁓ we do gotta highlight that Leon Rose has done it again in locking down a young talent. We was able to re sign Modi Oara, which was big. We gave him over is it ⁓ what Shams reported is that he's signing a multi year $10 million, $10 plus million dollar deal to return to the Knicks. This is huge because Modi Oara was a restricted free agent. Obviously, a lot of Knicks fans know what he did this season. They didn't play much in the postseason. But we saw the talent. And he has a big upside of Modi Awaris. So they're able to lock him down multiple years for about 10 million or so. This is this reminds me a lot of what we did with Deuce McBride a couple years back, where we got Deuce on the low and the production that ⁓ we was able to get for Deuce, obviously one of the best, best contracts for a role player. But brother, what's your thoughts first on the Dolan comments about? He's not going to second apron. And what's your confidence level that we can, you know, that we can keep these con that we can keep Mitch and these guys? speaker-0: So before I get to Leon Rose's ⁓ I mean not Dolan's comments regarding the ⁓ not going into the second apron, let's just give a little context for people who may not know what the second apron means. So with the second apron, ⁓ NBA teams, they lose a lot of ⁓ they face a lot of severe penalties when they do this. They lose flexibility in trades, draft pick penalties happen, buyout restrictions happen, and it's harder roster reconstruction. So that's basically a a quick breakdown of what happens when you're in the second apron. That makes it very difficult for the to the the Knicks to move. Going forward, and then you end up having things that happen like with the Boston Celtics, where you end up having to let people go, like Porzingis, or ⁓ who was the guy who the other guy? Drew Holiday Drew Holiday and the other one, the other who went to Golden State. What's his name? Al Holford. That's where where you end up losing people like that because you just don't want to take those penalties, and these guys are being cheap and they don't want to write those checks. But there's reasons for that. As far as Dolan's comments, I get it. Like at the end of the day, like speaker-1: They did you Offer. speaker-0: You want to put your team in the best position to move forward ⁓ without going into that second apron. I like what they're doing moving out of the draft. Look, draft picks are great, right? They're always sexy. They're always nice to look at, but they don't always pan out. And at the end of the day, the 24th pick, the 25th pick, whatever it is that you end up getting, doesn't always end up being the guy that you want him to be that most people feel like they're gonna get. You're losing you're you're you're trading these picks away for cash considerations and you're Making it a lot better for this team to run it back the next year. I'm okay with what they're doing because as we've been saying for several years, and then as we just won a championship right now, we trust in Leon Rose. There's a there's a clear path that they want to do and go forward. And I have no problem with them running to running back. There's nobody on this roster that I feel like, you know what, let's let them walk because I don't care for them. There's nobody that I look at and I'm just like, I don't want them there. So I'm I'm good if that's what they want to do. speaker-1: Yeah, ⁓ nest to put as of right now, the Knicks are winning the draft. Yeah, I I will be honest, ⁓ right now, this draft is so deep, ⁓ pause that ⁓ I kinda wish the Knicks were drafted at thirty one. ⁓ I I think they could have got a good player. But I get it. I get I get running it back. You look at guys like ⁓ Moe Dwar are gonna have a bigger role. ⁓ I think Tyler Kolick is possible. You're hearing now. ⁓ You know, there was there's ⁓ Sports Illustrated. They put on their article ⁓ two days ago. No, matter of fact, yesterday rumors that Deuce McBride ⁓ might be the likeliest Nick to be traded ⁓ during this draft is possible. ⁓ Pacomb Daddy is also a top trade candidate. I don't think that's a surprise, ⁓ because Pacomb Daddy hasn't really played much of a big role. ⁓ I wanna share one more thing, ⁓ because when they I want to talk about more about Mitchell Robinson. ⁓ because I think he's the biggest piece. ⁓ that I think the Knicks need to lock down first before addressing Landry Shamid and Clarkson. But this is this is Ian Begley, guys. ⁓ most he's probably the most credible Knicks reporter ⁓ out there. I trust Begley more with everything than than anybody. ⁓ but ⁓ this is this was his comments ⁓ in regards to ⁓ Mitchell Robinson. Knicks are ⁓ operating planning right now as if they're gonna stay below that second apron number in team salary, and that has a lot of implications. It's gonna be really tough to bring Mitchell Robinson back. Some me gets ⁓ you know strong offers on the open market, which he will. ⁓ I think he'd have to take a pay cut here to come back to New York. ⁓ just it it sets a lot of moving parts, ⁓ a lot of pieces ⁓ moving around here ⁓ for the Knicks in the front office. Look. ⁓ Mitchell Robinson, if you believe the reports that he's getting ⁓ that he he he might be getting a a starter a center starting ⁓ contract, there's no way he the Knicks can match that. It's just you know you're not gonna you're not gonna pay Mitchell Robinson. You can't, you're not gonna do it. ⁓ Mitchell Robinson's not gonna start on this team. It's just that simple. I don't know if Mitchell Robinson can at this point of his career. You know, considering the injuries. ⁓ he was relatively healthy because the the Knicks managed his his they managed. They they man they they they managed his his health. He didn't play on back to backs. ⁓ you know what I mean? ⁓ Mike Brown kept him, I think, what, roughly maybe 20, 25 minutes at the most. Yeah. During the season. He averaged about 15 minutes, I believe it was in in the in this postseason. So As much as I love Mitchell Robinson and I would love Mitchell Robinson to stay on the Lake on the on the Lakers. I'm reading Joey's comments. He might go to the Lakers. The Lakers might be a team desperate enough to to give him a contract. They need a center. ⁓ but as much as I would love him to stay on the Knicks, is you gotta think about it. Are you gonna give Mitchell Robinson starters mid a starters contract? You can't because you're not gonna you're not gonna you're not gonna go ⁓ past the second apron. And then you look at Mitchell Robinson. Mitchell Robinson is like, yo, look, I was a big I was a big part of this championship run. I want to get paid. You know what I'm saying? And you can't blame him. It's the Isaiah Hartenstein thing all over again. You know what I mean? Where it's like we wanted to keep him, but we couldn't. It's just we we were just restricted in keeping him, and he went for the bag. And you can't, you can't knock a player for wanting to go for the bag. I've always been the one like, yo, once you get your ring, get the back. It's that simple. Get the bag, do what you gotta do because you got the championship. Now go go get paid. You know what I mean? And and if there's a team, and I and I this is not to slight Mitch, but if there's a team dumb enough to give him starter sending, starter center money, knowing Mitch's speaker-0: He's not gonna give you a full eighty two games. Like just know that. speaker-1: history of of of health that's on you that then then I don't know what to tell you I but I do think we bring them back brother I do think we bring them back only because there's not a lot of money out there there's just not a lot of money out there so I don't think the Knicks will get blown out the water I don't think there's gonna be a team that's gonna Because if you look at teams like what how many teams honestly need a center? You look at LA, ⁓ maybe Atlanta, ⁓ that I could come off the top of my head. And are those teams gonna give Mitchell Robinson a big bat? speaker-0: And ⁓ let's give a little bit more context. You say what teams really need a center. What teams need a center that have the money to? Because centers are speaker-1: What I'm saying, that's what I was gonna say next is who's gonna they can't give him that money, especially now with the Lakers, and we're gonna talk about what the Lakers did ⁓ in a minute. There's not a lot of teams that are gonna be able to give him the back. So I'm confident that I think Mitch will sign a discount kind of deal, and we'll be able to keep him. When it comes to Landry Shamit, ⁓ it's hard, man. You think about Landry Shamit back to back years. It was ⁓ What a a kind of like a tryout kind of contract. He didn't have a a an official roster spot. So it's gonna be hard for a guy like Shaman that now went two years of that. And if a team is offering him some stability, where they offer him a nice little two year deal, three year deal, you know, 10 million per whatever, 12 million per, it's gonna be hard for a guy like Shaman to go, you know what? Although we know, and Shaman has said it, he loves playing in New York. It's gonna be hard for a guy like that to turn down that kind of money. You know what I mean? ⁓ and Jordan Clarkson's another one. You look at Jordan Clarkson, we were lucky enough to get Carson because Carson got bought out by Utah. Clarkson got bought out by Utah, so he can go and take that vetman ⁓ to to to play with us. no, don't know if he does that this year. You know what I mean? speaker-0: Yeah. I mean, and if you're choosing between the two, like I at least you know, with with Clarkson, you know he's gonna be able to create his own, like everything when it comes to his offense. When he comes off the bench, you know what you're getting Clarkson. Whereas to as much as I love Shamit, shooters can't be found. You can get a shooter off the like who's willing to take a vet minimum contract ⁓ to sign for this team. Like you look at people who are available at this moment. You have like Marcus Smart available, you have Dean Wade available. You have people who can fill in that role that, you know, Shamit was playing. speaker-1: So n so being that you mentioned that, ⁓ Chris Knox, ⁓ he's ⁓ he's a reporter for the Bleacher Report. ⁓ Christopher Knox, he he reported hey rumors Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bones, ⁓ Bones Island could be free agent targets for the Knicks, ⁓ for potential departures for Landry and and Jordan Clarkson. Look, the Tim Hardaway thing would be funny. This would be his third stint with the Knicks. ⁓ I think I don't know how I feel about Bones Island, I'm gonna honest. ⁓ He's a microwave kinda scorer. He can get hot, but he plays no defense. ⁓ there's a reason why ⁓ Denver let him go. ⁓ he has some moments with Minnesota, but he just can't play defense. So I don't know about that. Tim Hardaway would be ⁓ an intriguing ⁓ piece, but I'm not I I think Denver finds a way to get him back. I think Denver Denver wants Hardaway back as much as we want ⁓ Landry and Jordan. So ⁓ it's gonna be an interesting, interesting offseason when it comes to the Knicks. ⁓ you know what I mean? And let's see what happens. I think this draft will tell you this draft is telling you a lot. ⁓ Leon is trying to push back and and trying to save some coins to to get these guys. So this is just the beginning, guys. And and and tap in with us because anything that the Knicks do, you know your boys at the Ozone will be fully tapped in. So guys, remember we got we got a we got a few people on the chat. Like, share, and subscribe if you have not already. ⁓ so brother, ⁓ let's let's ⁓ let's let's let's ⁓ before we get to the NBA news, I'm gonna change something up, y'all. Let's show some love ⁓ to ⁓ splex one, y'all. Splex one ⁓ has ⁓ has sponsored us, guys, and this episode of the Ozone is brought to you by Splex One. a s ⁓ a certified minority business delivering web development, video production, and media services for government and public sector clients. All right, so brother, you know, this is a copycat league. This is the league runs on who's powerful, right? Boston wins. Boston wins the championship. The Knicks, what do the Knicks do? They go and they trade and they go get. Mikhail Bridges and Carl Anthony Towns. We need something to combat them wings in Boston. We need somebody that's going to get Porzingas out the paint or whatever. So now the Knicks win the championship. And the East is causing the ruckus. The East don't know what to do. What is life going to be? And we saw some two big moves happening that happened on the same night, on the same night within hours of one another. Yeah. But we'll keep it. We'll keep it local as Julius Randle is back in New York City, but not the New York Knicks. Julius Randle is going to the Brooklyn Nets, was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in a three team trade that involved the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Chicago Bulls. The Brooklyn Nets sent Nick Claxton to the Bulls. The Wolves got the thirty-third pick. Which they just drafted, which is actually gonna get selected now. and ⁓ Julius Randle went to the New Jer to the New Jersey Nets. You what? Yeah, let's keep it the New Jersey Nets. ⁓ I'll say this, man. ⁓ Julius Randle, we we I I made a quick update video on it on our social media platforms ⁓ quickly about Randu. And brother, I think it's safe to say. I thought it was safe to say once we won the championship, but then you never know. ⁓ you know, Randle's still in Minnesota. If they win the following year, then you know, it's a whole nother topic of conversation. But now with obviously us winning a title with Car Anthony Towns, Dante DiVincenzo, unfortunately, tearing his Achilles being out for the ⁓ for the next season. And now Julius Randle getting traded to the Brooklyn Nets. I think it's safe to say the Knicks won this trade. speaker-0: Safe to say, brother. Safe to say, I believe. ⁓ look, ⁓ we we've given enough flowers, I believe, to Randall over the years, and especially going into this ⁓ playoff run. But to see him go from the Timberwolves situation, which was a which was a good situation. I just feel like the the Timberwolves were a full piece a few pieces from moving away. They did bring back Don Sumu, who I actually really do like. ⁓ so I think that was a good move on them to bring him back. But I man. Randu just can't catch a break. He really can't. And and to end up where he ended up in Brooklyn. Look, this is a guy who signed with the Knicks and helped ⁓ bring a different culture to the Knicks. So he he he was part of the the resurgence of the Knicks coming with Leon Rose and just getting things going. But can he do it again with Brooklyn? Can he be the piece that moves it forward? That's the part that is it remains to be seen. Them getting rid of Claxon, I guess. You know, lucky for him because he still he said that he's never lost against the Knicks and ever since he's been, I believe, ⁓ and sixteen or something like that. Yeah, so it it'll be interesting what what happens, what they do with that next team. ⁓ those picks mean nothing to us, so go ahead and do what you want to do. speaker-1: Yeah, yeah, he's been yeah hasn't won since those comments. ⁓ I'll say this. I think ⁓ if you are into ⁓ basketball fantasy, if you're into that, ⁓ draft Julius Randle. Draft him. ⁓ I think he's gonna have a good year with Brooklyn. ⁓ now it's interesting to see how he plays with Michael Porter Jr. But you have to keep in mind, y'all, the NBA changed their tanking rules. So teams cannot, teams gotta it forced teams to to be relatively competitive now. Julius Randle is, yes, he's an emotional player. Do you know whether he's gonna have a good game or a bad game within the first two to three minutes of the game? A hundred percent. But Julius Randle is he's he's a dog. And I had a a little ⁓ disagreement or whatever. I was ⁓ is a is a Nick page on Instagram. I think it's make the Knicks great again or something like that, right? And he was trying to ⁓ He was basically saying, like, I understand why people try to give credit to Randu about setting the foundation or whatever. It was Brunson. And I'm like, dog, you can't. I get there were a lot of Knicks fans that didn't like Julius Randle. But to go on and say, and I would love, and I and I think I'm gonna message him because I would love to bring him on the show and and have this conversation with him. I don't want like throw him out because everybody's entitled to their own opinion. But to say, because his theory, his thing was, ⁓ well. He had a fluke year that they won and then the because then Jalen Brunson joined an 11th place team because the year after the the Knicks didn't do it well. Okay, but that still doesn't change the fact that Julius Randle came here when nobody wanted. Especially in the summer where KD and Kyrie Irvin picked Brooklyn over us. Julius Randle decided to come here. Julius Randle is the one who broke what was it, a a 10 ⁓ a 10-year playoff drought. That was Julius Randle. Yes, did Julius Randle have his flaws? Did Julius Randle's thumbs down was a bad idea? Did he but let's keep in mind he also made the all-star? He's a two time all star. He made the all-star, ⁓ made an all star appearance. Jaden Brunson's first year. So he had a good year. He had a good year. Obviously, the playoffs didn't pan out because he he was suffering through the ankle injury throughout that playoffs. And then obviously the shoulder injury took him out. That ended up being his last playoff in his career. But Julius Randle was a big foundational piece for this Knicks, for this for this Knicks team and ⁓ him and Tom Thibodeau. So that was just a whole thing. Now, I agree with you, brother. I'm not sure that's a lot to ask for for him to do that again in Brooklyn. Yeah. Because also he's a lot older now. But I do think he's going to have a good individual year. Now, on the upside for Brooklyn, that can benefit you one or two things. One is he Can he be good enough where you're hovering in a play-in? And I think at this point, Brooklyn Nets basketball has been so bad. I think Brooklyn Nets fans, the few that are out there, would appreciate ⁓ a play-in kind of run. Or he builds himself enough value that you can trade him at the deadline and get more than what you gave out. You get what I'm saying? So it's a it's a win win for Brooklyn. Now, I saw that Ness put a comment. ⁓ because ⁓ this is also related to Brooklyn. He wanted Mikel Brown. This is where I thought Brooklyn dropped the ball. Because Brooklyn did draft Mikel Brown with this six overall pick, where they should have drafted. I felt Darius A. Cup Jr. Darius A. Cup Jr. is the dog. He played under John Cyloper. This kid played hurt. This kid is a dog. And you know who they compared him to, brother? Like his intangibles and just everything about him? Jalen Brunson. So that's not too shabby at all. And I ready to like, you know what? Brooklyn Nets gonna be Brooklyn Nets. And they did not draft Darius A Cup Jr. Sacramento Kings did, but luckily for Brooklyn and a lot of other teams, the Sacramento Kings will find a way to trade him and be stupid as they did with Tyrese Hallibur De'Aaron Fox. So there are hope for teams that want to get Darius A Cup Jr. But I just thought that was something ⁓ I thought that was very dumb of Brooklyn. I speaker-0: It's not too shabby. speaker-1: Thought they should have drafted Darius Incom Jr. So now let's get to this one, brother. Let's get to the big the biggest news that took place this week. And that is Mr. Giannis the Greek freak attempted the Kumpo. Because he was traded about a few hours, a couple hours right after Julius Randle. Giannis at the Kumpo is going to the Miami Heat. And a crazy deal. That basically sent everybody and a mama from Miami to Milwaukee. As Milwaukee traded Giannis and Bobby Porter to Miami for Tyler Hero, Khalil Ware, Jaime Haquez Jr., Kasparis Jujinkis. I really botched his name. Three first round picks, including the number 13 pick from yesterday's draft, a pick swap, and one second rounder. Now, you're probably asking y'all guys like. What does that got to do with the Knicks? It got a lot to do with the Knicks. This is this is an Eastern Conference rival. And we said, this is now teams adjusting their roster to play against the Knicks. The haters would tell you that's not the case, but at the end of the day, we are the champions. There's nothing anyone can take from that. And teams are going to be, are gonna design their, they're gonna design their teams. They're gonna make they're gonna make adjustments and mod modifications to their team. To be better than the Knicks. Right now, the Knicks are the standard of the NBA. You see it in the West with OKC drafting centers because they need to compete with the San Antonio Spurs and Wembin Yama. Right now, brother, what's your overall thoughts, initial thoughts on Giannis? The Giannis sagas over. It's been two years of this. The Knicks are highly looked at as a favorite. The Knicks was ⁓ from what was reported, the way he wanted to go. Obviously, we knew that wasn't gonna happen the minute the Knicks won to Larry O'Brien. But now he's in Miami. What's your thoughts? speaker-0: I mean, you gutted your team, right? Like who you got Giannis and Bam, and you got no shooters at this point. ⁓ they they have a lot of work to do. And I mean, if there's any GM that's capable of making some moves happen, it is, you know, the the it over there in the Miami Heat. Right. Yeah, with Pat Riley. ⁓ and Spolstra. Spoolstra's gonna get the most out of Giannis that and I I we you and I give him all the praise that we can because Polstra's a really good coach. ⁓ but speaker-1: Yeah, right. speaker-0: They don't have a roster at this at this current moment. They don't have a roster. And I mean, kudos to Giannis. You got out of Milwaukee. You're actually in now you're in South Beach. I'm pretty sure you'll be going to a few Heat games if you can, ⁓ especially when the Knicks are in town. It'll be cool to see Giannis a little bit more often. But that's about it. Like I don't think this moves the needle for the Heat until they make another move, which I'm sure Pat Riley is capable of doing. I just at this current moment. I don't think it's it's great for them, but it's great for Milwaukee. Milwaukee did an amazing trade for them. They got so much back and they can continue to bring it back. I don't care for the hometown coming for for Tyler Hero. I could care less for that because he didn't want to go back to Milwaukee, let's just be honest. But ⁓ Yeah. I don't know. speaker-1: ⁓ I yeah, I agree with you. I think ⁓ this is not to throw shade. I know a lot of people think of throwing shade on the heat. ⁓ I actually wanted him to go to Miami when you know there was the rumors of him being linked to Boston and Miami. I'm like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if I want to see a pairing of Tatum and Giannis. ⁓ I wanted him to go to Miami because I knew him going to Miami is gonna gut their roster. ⁓ It's not like their roster was so crazy to begin with, but it gutted their roster. And the thing is, you look at basketball. One thing about in baseball, you can throw the biggest names you have. As long as they play different positions for us, you're good. But in basketball, it's styles, it's style of play. Can this guy play with this one? Does this guy's game complement this guy's game? And when you look at the heat, Bam Matter Bayo's game does not complement Giannis's. Yanna, now defensively, they are gonna be a wreck. They are gonna them in being able to interchange positions, switch alongside with Andrew Wiggins, which I think Andrew Wiggins will pick up as player option. They're gonna be very good defensively. But the problem is, can they score? Bam out of Bayo is, and I know because I I I I'm in Miami. A lot of people. As much as they they gloating now about Bam. There's a lot of them that complain a lot about Bam during the season because he's not aggressive enough. Bam out of Bayo, yes. Can he shoot the mid-range? Yeah. Can he shoot the three-pointer? Yes. But now you're going to be axing him to do that a lot. Is he going to be comfortable playing that? Because now Bam out of Bayo, ⁓ you need that paint cleared for Giannis to steamroll right through the basket. The floor spacing is going to be horrendous when it comes to Giannis and Bam. And because you look at it, Giannis's successful years, he's played with centers that can shoot the three. His championship run, he's had ⁓ Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis. You look at even when they even last season, what did the Milwaukee do? They added in a Miles Turner. You have to compliment Giannis with a big that can spread the floor, that can knock down a three. This is why when he was linked to the Knicks, I'm like, Yeah, they're gonna trade Kat, but it it would probably be best if we could keep Kat, because Kat will compliment a guy like Giannis, because then you can put Kat at the three-point line to stretch the floor for Giannis. ⁓ I don't think Miami's a threat to the Knicks. Not right now, not this upcoming season, because I'm gonna be honest, how is this team any better than Giannis's team in Milwaukee? Right now, currently constructed. ⁓ Miami is not right now with the trade, they're not gonna be able to re-sign Norman Powell. Norman Powell's a free agent. He's coming off an all star year. Unrestricted at that. They got his bird rights, but they're not going to be able to keep Norman Powell. Norman Powell's probably to go to Detroit, which is something I probably don't want to see, but that's probably going to happen. ⁓ so, and you're going to have to be stuck getting old guys and hope that they could come back because you're hearing Clay, Clay Thompson. You're hearing Russell Westbrook. You're hearing guys like that. And it's like, yeah, if this was 2018, hell yeah, bring them in. Miami, hang up the banner. But right now, I think if those guys are coming in, I'm investing in some elderly retirement homes because that's what they're gonna need. speaker-0: Right. Okay. Afrodne Simmons, Quentin Grimes, Kobe White. These are names that they're putting out there that they could be looking at. Kelly. speaker-1: Those are guys though, but to to be realistic, Anthony Simons, maybe Kobe White, you're not gonna get. Because Kobe White, Kobe White ain't signing no vet minimum. You know what I mean? Like those are guys that are gonna get, and that's another thing. They have no cap. Their cap space is a ri So this is this is I I told people that ⁓ this today. This reminds me of when we made the mellow trade. Where we gut it. Pretty much all of our guys for Carmelo and Carmelo. Y'all look at that team Carmelo played with when we played the Celtics. Wasn't impressive, the guys he played around. And we really never got that situated during Melo's run. We had one we had the 2013 year, which was amazing. But if you look at it in its totality, we never really got the right pieces around Melo. That's what this reminds me of when it comes to Giannis. They gave up so much. And then now what we just talked about, y'all. First April, second aprons, teams are restricted on certain things they can do now. And Miami is in a tough situation because now you're gonna have to rely on some unknown guys, which I will give them credit. This is the only thing that I feel like I that Heat fans should be optimistic about. This Heat franchise. They have a way in finding guys out of nowhere. Max Schrews, Gabe Vincent, Duncan Robinson. I will give them that. Now how? No, Shane Badier was a was a was a lottery pick, brother. speaker-0: Same bad ear. ⁓ Same bad ear. No, I'm just saying they don't have no struggle in finding these kind of players. speaker-1: Yeah, Shane Badier was a lottery pick, brother. I'm talking about guys that went undrafted. Cause that's who they're gonna have to pick. That's who they're gonna have to pick. They're gonna have to get guys that like, ⁓ shoot, yo, Dave, that wasn't that your neighbor? He still you know what I mean? You're gonna have to get guys like that. They're gonna have to develop guys like that. And I'll give them credit, they can do that. But how often does that happen a lot? You know what I mean? You you you asking to do that again. I don't think Miami's is a real threat. ⁓ This season. Now, what they do going forward, if they let's say they run it a year with ⁓ Giannis and Bam and realize this ain't working out, we need to flip Bam to get somebody that compliments Giannis's game more, then we're talking. But when we talking about dumb lining up with the Knicks, bro, Knicks and five. Real talk. Knicks and five. It's not even it's not even talking like whatever. It's Knicks and five. That team is not. That team is, I don't I don't even think a lot of people trying to say they're top three. I don't even think they're top four. They might hover in five sixes. I don't even think right now this team is better than Atlanta. I don't think this team is better than Cleveland. As constructed, a lot can change when the season starts. As you touched on, brother Privy, a lot. So I'm not giving it a grade yet. I'll give it an incomplete because we don't know what the roster is gonna look like. But as of today, June twenty fourth. They ain't posing no threat to our New York Knicks. I will say that. And I and I'm I I can say that comfortably. ⁓ they ain't they ain't posing no threat. ⁓ but guys, like, share, and subscribe, y'all. We're not done because with basketball, we got one more thing to talk about when it comes to basketball, the Los Angeles Lakers. And you probably ask yourself, how does this have to do with New York? Because this guy was linked to the Brooklyn Nets. ⁓ right now, Austin Reeves. Austin Reeves has signed. A big time contract, four years, 185 million dollar deal to stay with the Lakers. So the Lakers has not even test the Lakers are not even taking a chance and letting ⁓ Austin Reeves ⁓ test out the free agent market. Obviously, he was linked to teams like Brooklyn. ⁓ you know, it was reported right by Shams that the Lakers reportedly feared losing Austin Reeves to the Pistons. So ⁓ shout out to the Lakers. The Lakers ⁓ locked down their guy, I think. Austin Reeves and Luca are a great offensive tandem. Defensively, ⁓ not so much, but offensively, they are a great offensive tandem. I wonder now what that means for LeBron James. ⁓ shout out to Jeremy from the Rockin' Knowles channel. Shout out to our boy Jeremy. ⁓ so I don't know, but what's your thoughts on this, brother? On ⁓ on on Reeves staying with LA. I'm speaker-0: I mean, they weren't taking chances. Like you said, brother, they they they saw that he was looking over there in the grass. It it was looking greener for them, and they said nope, you stay right where you at. I think that this is the best move that they could have done, ⁓ considering what's the alternative? Who do you bring in? This is this free agency isn't the best at this moment. ⁓ when you look at the names that are available. ⁓ so you I don't think you let ⁓ him go for free. You you definitely don't. speaker-1: Yeah, ⁓ yeah, I agree. And I'm gonna be honest, I'd rather have him I'd rather have him stay in ⁓ LA than go to Detroit. I think him in Detroit would have been a problem because Detroit is so good defensively that you can kind of you can you can you can disguise his ⁓ defensive liabilities. ⁓ and what like we touched on with Mitchell Robinson, now do the Lakers have space to offer ⁓ Jeremy, Jeremy, the heat, the heat is up. I'll bet you a fireball shot. Miami will smash you in a series. ⁓ Jeremy. Can't wait to see it. I you that's why I'm kinda happy. Giannis is in Miami. Miami now got they they they feel like they got their swagger back. A lot of heat fans were in that that dodrum of the play in and like, we're all we're here and this and this, and and ⁓ You know, so they got their swagger back. They feeling hype. They got Giannis. ⁓ I will be going to a couple heat games. ⁓ just cause I want to see some other teams. ⁓ it ain't because they see heat. ⁓ and look, I tell you this, the Knicks won, right? Because Giannis went to Miami, and now you're hearing about Jalen Brown. Jalen Brown was being offered by the Celtics for Giannis, and and and now that relationship is Rocky. So right now. speaker-0: That relationship's rocky. speaker-1: All right, the heat got Giannis, but they don't got too many guys around them yet. And Boston right now dealing with they nonsense right now. Jalen Brown, I think, is gonna get traded. I think it's just it's not a matter of ⁓ of if but when he's getting traded, bro. He he's getting traded. speaker-0: It's too early in the offseason to to actually determine if that's gonna be, but bro, you the writing's on the wall. You you tried to trade me to get a better player. To be honest, Giannis is better than Jalen Brown. That's not even a debate. But the fact that there's like you it's out there. Like you don't get these rumors from nowhere. So the fact is, like, if I'm Jalen Brown, I'm like, why do I want to come back to this team? You guys were obviously looking somewhere else. ⁓ you guys don't feel like I'm the guy. I I held this team down while Tatum was out all year and you still feel like you could move me. So I don't blame him for wanting to be ⁓ if he wants to be out. I think currently right now he's in France and he's talking about Stephen A. Smith and interviews and stuff like that. But yeah, he is just not he things can change, but it's not going to, I believe. This is my my firm opinion. It's not gonna change for the Celtics. speaker-1: I want ⁓ to go back to ⁓ Jeremy's comment. Look, it's fair. That's that's fair. Jimmy and Bam ⁓ was able to go to the finals, ⁓ but speaker-0: Yeah. Jimmy's a different player. And it was a better constructor team. speaker-1: Jimmy, Jimmy Butler's a different player. His game complimented Bam a little bit more than Giannis's does. And Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy's an underrated playmaker. Giannis is not a playmaker. I would say that. Giannis is brute, strength, dominant. But Giannis is also going to be 32 years old, and he's coming from a calf injury. He only played, what, 36 games? So that's something to look, that's something to ⁓ keep in mind. ⁓ but Jalen Brown got a lot of Kyrie in him. And I just don't think the Celtics are willing to deal with it anymore. And and let's just be honest, the comments he made about this season being his best season, being the most fun season, bro. I I don't know if I want that on my team. I'll be honest. So Trader My West, I'm cool with that. I am cool with that. But guys, as Dave touched on in the beginning of this show, ⁓ we appreciate y'all that follow baseball that tap in with us for baseball. We didn't talk much baseball in the last couple months because of the NIST playoff run and championship run. So let's do that. Let's pivot now ⁓ to our New York Yankees and New York Mets. ⁓ I'm gonna keep this very brief. ⁓ I want to start with the Mets first. I'm gonna keep this very brief. The New York Mets suck. They're horrible. They're 11 games under 500. They're on last place. ⁓ their pitching is atrocious. Every move David Stern made has crapped the bed. ⁓ you trade for Freddie Peralta. He's an ace. He wants to get paid like an ace. He's playing like a bum. He gave up 10 runs to the Phillies. You gave a a con a contract extensive to Sean Manae. He's been ass since you've done that. Nolan McClain, who MetFans said, okay, this guy is better than Cam Schlittler. He's the next Nolan Ryan. He's the next Jacob deGrom. He's been mediocre this season. ⁓ Juan Soto has been only the Juan Soto and the young players have been the brightest things. But your team sucks. Your two stars don't get along. You're getting Francisco Lindor came back tonight. And Juan Soto is now out. Your bullpen has been bad. Clay Holmes is hurt. This team could barely get 5,000 people in the stands earlier today for the first game of the doubleheader. You got your fans. The fans are the lower you coming to your games. It's been raining all damn day in New York. And then you announced that the game was postponed 40 minutes before first pitch when you knew you weren't gonna be able to play the game from the whole beginning. This Met team, I'll tell you this right now, brother, should sell, sell, sell. Sell anybody that you can at the deadline. Obviously, outside of your young players and Juan Soto, you're not gonna want to trade Juan Soto. You just sign them to a bazillion dollar deal. But you need to trade Mendy. I mean, ⁓ you need to fire the manager, you need to fire your GM because it's nothing worse than. Then the guy who thinks he's the smartest in the room, but he's really a dummy, and he's really not the smartest guy in the room, and that's your GM. That's David Stern. You made all these move, you let Peter Lonzo walk, you brought in Marcus Simeon, he's been ass. You brought in Jorge Polanco, he hasn't played. You brought in Luis Roberts Jr., he hasn't played. This team is horrible. And you know what, Juan Soto? We told you this was gonna happen two years ago. We told you. Brother, you got anything to say about the Metsu? speaker-0: Brother, you just Kwame Brown bona fide scrubbed the Mets right now. I got nothing to say. I got nothing to say. Look, the Mets currently are thirty five thirty four and forty five at this moment. They're tied right now against the Chicago Cubs, though they got their ass handed to them earlier. ⁓ speaker-1: I gave up 40 runs in the last like four games, four or five games. speaker-0: It there's there's nothing fun to talk about this Mets and it it it's kinda back to the same old Mets conversation that we tend to have. speaker-1: ⁓ Mets. Look, man, I felt bad and I just saw a video of some Met fans talking about Yankee fan Yankees are gonna choke in October like they always do. Look, it's so it's it's so ironic that a Met fan will talk about a team choking in October when they can't even make it to October. That's the most funniest thing. I'm I'm gonna be I'm gonna be really rude. I I always try to be the middleman when it came to the Yankees and the Mets, as far as for this show goes. For this show goes, 'cause I want it, I want it, you know, but bro, I'm sorry. ⁓ the Mets his lights out for y'all, man. Y'all speaker-0: There's another team in New York that we don't talk nothing about. I mean they got some credit today because Julius Randy but we don't talk about the Mets are entering that territory as far as this season goes. speaker-1: Right. ⁓ brother, let's talk about the lollipop gate. Let's talk about lollipop gate ⁓ with my man ⁓ Jazz Chisholm. This is Lollipop Gate. Yeah, this is not a flattering picture, but this was this was ⁓ Jazz Chisholm two two days ago, as he's ⁓ he has a lollipop, a blow pop to be exact, ⁓ while he's playing the infield. And this became a big topic of discussion. Obviously, the Yankees were losing the game. ⁓ they were losing, I believe it was five to one. And a lot of people just said, look, this is this is the precedence that Aaron Judge and Aaron Boone has set. This is unseriousness of a player with a lollipop in his mouth in the middle of the field. ⁓ and then you got some that that are saying this is not a big deal. What's the difference between that and a guy eating sunflower seeds and and that sort of thing, which we see, which we see on the field. Brother, I'm gonna I I wanna hear your take. Is this a big deal? Is this something that that That ruffles your feathers. What what are we what are we think what are we thinking? speaker-0: No, brother. When it comes to the Yankees, I'm not one of those old school classic Yankees that you're like, this is a baseball team and you have to act professional and you have to like look, the baseball world baseball's boring. Let's just be completely honest. Baseball can be really fucking boring. I'm sorry, I curse, sorry. But I baseball can be really boring. And the sticklers for Yankee fans, those guys who just want the guys who who who miss for the days when the guys had no beards, the guys who don't want to change anything with the jerseys. Like, there's so many things about The Yankees that they just need to change with the times. And people are really sticklers for that. They want that that that old school stuff. They want guys to look professional. They want their guys to look like a certain way and act a certain way. And yes, we love the Jeters. We love the guys that we got in the back. If you're if you were old enough to watch the others in the in the past, then great. But things have changed. Now do I care for him having a lollipop while he's in the middle of a game? Not so much as if he's sitting down on the bench. ⁓ but for me personally, me personally, I don't care. speaker-1: Be honest, I don't either. ⁓ I just think I just thought more of a safety thing. Like, bro, you can choke on that, right? Like, and Aaron Boone. I mean, like, you can yeah, ⁓ you can choke on that. ⁓ Aaron Boone is is a is a is a clown because Aaron Boone was asked that by the Talking Yank guys about that, and he said basically he addressed it, he did it no. And shout out to John Boy. I love I love John Boy from Talking Yanks, bro. If anybody gets an opportunity to see them, I think they interviewed, I think they Have the rights to interview Boone, I think twice a week or whatever. They asked Boone the hard hitting questions. And I respect that so much from them. And they pointed out this is not the first time Jazz has done this. This is not the first time. He's actually done it ⁓ at a game in Boston, ⁓ but it was difficult to see because he was wearing a shisty. ⁓ but Aaron Boone said he didn't know that. And It's either one of two things we talked about a brother before we recorded. Is either he's lying or he's stupid. Because how did you not know that? You know what I mean? ⁓ I don't think it's a big deal. Like you said, there's a lot of old school fans that just feel like, yo, this is a mockery. He's not taking it serious, and this is what it is. I understand that. I'm not one now, I'm not gonna go in that deep. He did, he did redeem himself the following day. Big time hit. He went two for four in a Yankee win. ⁓ you know, look, Jazz is not your quota typical Yankee. He's just not. He he's a flamboyant, he's he's out there, he's in your face, he's a brash kind of guy. ⁓ when you're winning, that's not a problem. Yankee fans didn't have an issue with AJ Burnett and Nick Swisher. You why? Because the team won. Team won a World Series. ⁓ I think that's what it is. I also think it was in the middle of a three game losing streak. So fans are just finding a way to just be upset about this team. Obviously. The Yankees have been playing without Max Fried. They've been playing without Aaron Judge, John Carlos Stanton, and yet they continue to have, I believe, is the best record in the American League. They're in first place. ⁓ their pitching is is still performing well. Cam Schlittler is a early Psy Young ⁓ candidate. I was able to go to the game on Friday where he had a career high 13 strikeouts ⁓ against the Reds. Phenomenal. ⁓ Gold Schmidt. speaker-0: Okay. speaker-1: Gold Schmidt has actually been playing well. Ben Rice has been playing well. This Yankee team has been playing well. I'll give them credit. But at the end of the day, it's going to matter in October. We've set that. ⁓ This team, I do think, and we will talk about it, guys, as we go ⁓ go out throughout the weeks here in the Ozone. I think they do have to address the ballpen ⁓ at the deadline, and they need to address the catcher's position. They have to get a better Just more quality ⁓ bat at the catcher's position because ⁓ unfortunately, Austin Wells used all his juice in the World Baseball Classic because this man has has not been as good. He has not been good this season. and we have not gotten any production ⁓ from the catcher's position. So ⁓ that's really it when it comes to the Yankees. But guys, we will be addressing baseball ⁓ now that the off season, now we're in the offseason with the NBA. So Yankee fans, Meth fans, you already know what to do. But brother, before we wrap up, I just want to share with the audience real quickly, big weekend. ⁓ as we touched on, ⁓ for combat sports, ⁓ Saturday. you have WWE Night of Champions, ⁓ Saturday afternoon, 1 p.m. on ESPN Plus. ⁓ so I will be honest, I have not watched WWE in a little bit. I've been preoccupied with the Knicks. ⁓ so I don't even know what's on the card, but I'm pretty sure it'll be a good night. I think it's in London. ⁓ usually a good crowd, so I think it'll be good. ⁓ you got anything to say about that? speaker-0: when it comes to WWE, I have better things to do with my time right now. speaker-1: Yeah, I'll be honest. Same. ⁓ and then Saturday night, you have the big time fight between Xander ⁓ Zaez and Boots Ennis. This is gonna be a fight. If you are a boxing fan, I know Joey, who's probably still on the chat, ⁓ is gonna be looking forward to this fight. This is a big one. Is ⁓ Xander Zayez, he's putting up his ⁓ WBA WBO junior middleweight title on the line. This is gonna be a big time fight. I think this is gonna be his toughest opponent. ⁓ This is gonna be big, man. Shout out to Puerto Rico. ⁓ you know, I'm rocking with Xander on this one. ⁓ and it's in Brooklyn, so he's gonna have the home, he's gonna have the home advantage ⁓ there. That's gonna be a big time fight. And then Sunday, ⁓ AEW Forbidden Door. I don't think is anything that can be said. AEW puts more than quality ⁓ pay-per-views. They're second to none. I'll be honest in their pay-per-views. If you love love professional wrestling, you're gonna have some big time matches. Kenny Omega versus Zach Saber Jr. just to name a few. ⁓ I think you're gonna see Swerve Shrickland versus Will Osprey. Big time matches. ⁓ it's gonna be a great weekend of sports. And in Gaza in the movies, Supergirl is coming out this weekend. Brother, I know you're gonna see it tomorrow. ⁓ I'm going to see it on Sunday. ⁓ mixed reviews, mixed reviews, but This is why we go and pay to see the movie. ⁓ you know what I mean? This is why you go and see it for yourself, because there's been a lot of movies that get revered and they're boring as shit. Like they're just boring. You know what I mean? And you know, you got movies where they, you know, gets doesn't get a fair grade, and it's amazing. So go see it for yourself. It's an amazing weekend.
