- 1:49Speaker 3: Look me.

- 2:01Speaker 4: H huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are
- 2:06Speaker 4: listening to the voice, come on dig me now.
- 2:09Speaker 1: One and only.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Steve Harvey got a radio show. I say it every
- 2:13Speaker 4: day because God been good to me. God has done
- 2:16Speaker 4: some things in my life that's truly been just amazing.
- 2:20Speaker 4: It really amazing. Ain't even really the word. They don't
- 2:23Speaker 4: really have a word for what He's done for me.
- 2:25Speaker 4: I'm just out of superlatives. That's why I say it
- 2:28Speaker 4: every day. Steve Harvey got a radio show because God
- 2:31Speaker 4: is in a blessing business.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah he is. God.
- 2:34Speaker 4: God can help you turn your life around. Did you
- 2:37Speaker 4: hear me? God can help you turn your life around.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Whatever you're going through. God has an answer for it.
- 2:44Speaker 4: See but it's to going through to get some store,
- 2:46Speaker 4: ain't it. Because I was having a moment yesterday and
- 2:49Speaker 4: I set my wife down. I said babe, I just
- 2:51Speaker 4: need to talk to you going through a little bit
- 2:54Speaker 4: right now. I just wanted to share which I'm a
- 2:55Speaker 4: little down right now. And my wife reminded me. She
- 3:00Speaker 4: just reminded me, this is what a man, this is
- 3:03Speaker 4: what a good mate does. A good mate reminds you
- 3:08Speaker 4: just of things that sometimes you forget when you get
- 3:11Speaker 4: off track. Because you know, I consider myself a motivational
- 3:16Speaker 4: type person. I try to listen to people and then
- 3:20Speaker 4: give them something I've learned along the way on this
- 3:22Speaker 4: journey I've been on. I try to give a person
- 3:24Speaker 4: a takeaway. But even being that person, sometimes I get
- 3:28Speaker 4: off track myself. I get a little low sometimes, you know,
- 3:33Speaker 4: I get a little down. Sometimes I sometimes I forget
- 3:37Speaker 4: some of the stuff.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I say.
- 3:38Speaker 4: It ain't that I forget it. I guess I just
- 3:41Speaker 4: get caught up in the grind of doing it. And
- 3:45Speaker 4: sometimes I get I get a little off course and
- 3:48Speaker 4: I forget some of the things that my wife or
- 3:51Speaker 4: a mate can be good for you to remind you.
- 3:55Speaker 4: And she just says, Steve, God got us. She said,
- 3:59Speaker 4: have you ever notice that every time you get in
- 4:01Speaker 4: a spot? And she say, and I know how you
- 4:04Speaker 4: must feel because you're out here working and you keep
- 4:08Speaker 4: turning around, and old stuff keep popping up, and you
- 4:13Speaker 4: get a call from your account and hear this and
- 4:15Speaker 4: went wrong and that then when you study trying to
- 4:17Speaker 4: fix it, but you steady going wild?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Man, what is it? She say?
- 4:20Speaker 4: But you ever notice He always always, no matter what,
- 4:25Speaker 4: provide a way, and he ain't ever too late. Oh,
- 4:29Speaker 4: you might be going the deadline is approaching. The deadline
- 4:32Speaker 4: can come and pass, but then they have a grace
- 4:36Speaker 4: period for you. And then sometimes man, it's just you
- 4:39Speaker 4: go down there after the grace period and they take
- 4:41Speaker 4: the payment anyway, and you're good anyway. But see, ain't
- 4:44Speaker 4: that God bringing you through it? It may not be
- 4:47Speaker 4: when you want it, but he right on time. Jazz
- 4:50Speaker 4: before you get put out, jazz before they turn. Maybe
- 4:54Speaker 4: they cut the lights off, but you get it back on.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Just faux company come or just before the weekend.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Get here.
- 5:00Speaker 4: See, he always comes through for you. And she had
- 5:04Speaker 4: to remind me of that what you going through is necessary. Look,
- 5:09Speaker 4: circumstance and hardships and pitfalls are always untimely. If you
- 5:15Speaker 4: keep the law of attraction in play, if you keep
- 5:18Speaker 4: believing that that's that he gonna see you through this,
- 5:21Speaker 4: just like he do when you don't believe it. That's
- 5:23Speaker 4: what the old part is, though, ain't it. Ain't God
- 5:27Speaker 4: brought you through even when you didn't really have the
- 5:30Speaker 4: faith to say he was gonna bring you through. But
- 5:33Speaker 4: because of grace and mercy he brought you through anyway.
- 5:36Speaker 4: But because you forgot to thank him, or you didn't
- 5:40Speaker 4: pay attention through to come through, you just was telling people, Oh, man,
- 5:44Speaker 4: if you the same. It was so jacked up. Man,
- 5:46Speaker 4: I was so turned up. I ain't know what I
- 5:48Speaker 4: was gonna do. I almost got put out. I was
- 5:51Speaker 4: gonna see key word almost, And you forgot that part
- 5:54Speaker 4: right there, And then I was it looked.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Like I wan man. And then and it seemed like
- 5:58Speaker 1: every month I go through this same thing and then down. Yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Then somebody ought to just say, did you pay it?
- 6:04Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 6:04Speaker 1: I paid it? Did you get put out?
- 6:06Speaker 4: Now?
- 6:06Speaker 1: I'm cool? See.
- 6:08Speaker 4: See you need somebody on your shoulder to say that
- 6:10Speaker 4: to you, and then you need somebody to come right
- 6:13Speaker 4: behind him and go, man, ain't God good?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Really?
- 6:17Speaker 5: Man?
- 6:17Speaker 4: That's how this works. See, you keep getting in situations,
- 6:22Speaker 4: but he keep getting you out. Now, if you jump,
- 6:25Speaker 4: look listen to me.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Let's say you in a frying pan in the skillet
- 6:30Speaker 4: and the oil is up and you in that frying
- 6:32Speaker 4: and you uncomfortable being fried God somehow. Or let's just
- 6:38Speaker 4: say you managed to get out of the hot grease
- 6:42Speaker 4: in the frying pan, and you standing there next to
- 6:44Speaker 4: the skillet looking at the fire continue to heat the grease,
- 6:48Speaker 4: you get out, and then for some unexplainable reason, you
- 6:53Speaker 4: dives right on back in there. Ain't that how we
- 6:57Speaker 4: usually do it? I'm just asking you, God, get you
- 7:01Speaker 4: away from the man you've been asking to get away from.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Then you go right back over there in stars seeing
- 7:07Speaker 4: even again. It's amazing how many times God get us
- 7:12Speaker 4: out the fire and we walked right back in there?
- 7:15Speaker 1: Ain't it amazing? Man?
- 7:17Speaker 4: I mean, really, man, see this how I break life
- 7:20Speaker 4: down for me? So I don't get over here stuck on,
- 7:22Speaker 4: stupid with myself and then get to doing something ignorant
- 7:25Speaker 4: like blaming God. When really, man, God has given us,
- 7:28Speaker 4: as human beings, the power of decision, and we all
- 7:31Speaker 4: make decisions.
- 7:32Speaker 1: How many times? Man? See, sometimes it's a blessing. In
- 7:35Speaker 1: getting locked up.
- 7:36Speaker 4: You can ask a lot of cats I know, man,
- 7:38Speaker 4: to tell you it was a blessing for me, man,
- 7:40Speaker 4: because I was just headed the wrong way, steady, but
- 7:43Speaker 4: he locked me up, set me down, made me miss
- 7:46Speaker 4: my family. Being out here being a free man, made
- 7:50Speaker 4: me realize that my family was important.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Made me, man, really see this girl for what she was.
- 7:55Speaker 4: When I get out, man, I'm on a straight and
- 7:58Speaker 4: narrow Well then when you get out, though, See you
- 8:01Speaker 4: can't be talking about no oh man, I can't find
- 8:04Speaker 4: no job. Now I'm gonna go and do what I
- 8:06Speaker 4: gotta do. No, no, no, no, no, partner, you got
- 8:08Speaker 4: to do now what you're supposed to do. See that
- 8:11Speaker 4: don't do what you gotta do got you in trouble
- 8:13Speaker 4: in the first place. See everybody, see see the hood
- 8:17Speaker 4: got a lot.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Of ignorant rules.
- 8:18Speaker 4: We done create it. I gotta do what I gotta do.
- 8:20Speaker 4: I gotta feed my family. Well, the only reason you
- 8:22Speaker 4: gotta do what you gotta do is because you didn't
- 8:25Speaker 4: do what you were supposed to do. See if you
- 8:27Speaker 4: just went on to school like you Mama kept telling you. Ah, Man,
- 8:31Speaker 4: I was watching forty eight Hours yesterday and the dude
- 8:33Speaker 4: named Nesto was on that and Nesto Latino dude said, Man,
- 8:37Speaker 4: my mother told me quit hanging with these guys.
- 8:40Speaker 1: They were gonna nothing but trouble. I should have listened
- 8:43Speaker 1: to her. He doing thirty years right now. You can't
- 8:47Speaker 1: blame God.
- 8:48Speaker 4: That's why I talk to myself this way, so I
- 8:50Speaker 4: don't get stupid and start shifting to blame the wrong
- 8:53Speaker 4: way when it's really on me. How many times has
- 8:56Speaker 4: God got you out of something and you walk right
- 8:59Speaker 4: back into it? Man, why don't you take these blessings
- 9:02Speaker 4: God give you and go on about your business. That'd
- 9:05Speaker 4: be the best way to do it, don't you think
- 9:08Speaker 4: That's what I think? So I thank God my wife
- 9:12Speaker 4: for reminding me that God got us anyway, that God
- 9:15Speaker 4: gonna pull you through anyway.
- 9:17Speaker 6: That.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Have you noticed, Steve, we ain't lost a beat.
- 9:21Speaker 6: Oh.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I know it's hard out here, but really you ain't
- 9:23Speaker 1: lost a beat.
- 9:24Speaker 4: You still moving forward, You still dressing nice, You still
- 9:28Speaker 4: look good when you come into that job. Everybody don't
- 9:31Speaker 4: got to know your house is in bad shape, and
- 9:34Speaker 4: all that God got you. Man, if you just hold
- 9:37Speaker 4: your head up, man, quit complaining all the time by
- 9:41Speaker 4: what you ain't got. And as in words of my daddy,
- 9:43Speaker 4: slick Harvey, Stop talking about what you ain't got and
- 9:46Speaker 4: take a good look at what you do.
- 9:48Speaker 1: God.
- 9:48Speaker 4: That's improper grammar, but that always stuck with me and
- 9:51Speaker 4: maybe it'll stick with you. Quit talk about and looking
- 9:54Speaker 4: at what you ain't God, take a good look at
- 9:56Speaker 4: what you do.
- 9:56Speaker 1: God, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come for us to
- 10:06Speaker 4: realize that we are so blessed to give honor to
- 10:11Speaker 4: the creator man all this favor.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Do you realize how fortunate that you are?
- 10:17Speaker 4: You know what, I had to stop myself the other
- 10:20Speaker 4: day to really get on focus to understand how blessed
- 10:23Speaker 4: you are. Stop talking all the times about the stuff
- 10:28Speaker 4: you wish you had. If you would just take a
- 10:32Speaker 4: look at what you have, what you've kept, what you
- 10:37Speaker 4: haven't lost, what you've been able to maintain, acquire, accumulate possess.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Man, you start realizing just how good God is. Boy.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Here you do man, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

- 11:09Speaker 4: all this time, still here, still got some help, or

- 15:04Speaker 6: My name is Jeff, Jeff, and I've been seeing Crystal, uh,
- 15:11Speaker 6: you know, pretty much like the last five to six months,
- 15:15Speaker 6: and I wanted to let you know that I'm very,
- 15:18Speaker 6: very interested in you. And I know this is kind
- 15:21Speaker 6: of crazy for you to get a phone call for me,
- 15:23Speaker 6: but I'm very interested in Crystal right now, and I
- 15:26Speaker 6: wanted to, you know, I just wanted to do the
- 15:29Speaker 6: man thing and just reach out to your man and
- 15:31Speaker 6: say I'm really interested in and uh in marrying your
- 15:35Speaker 6: daughter and.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Marrying my daughter. Well, hold on, man, what what?

- 15:43Speaker 5: Jeff jeffel Okay, Jeff Jeff listen. I'm very close with
- 15:48Speaker 5: my daughter, and my daughter has never ever mentioned you.
- 15:52Speaker 5: I talk to my daughter every day.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Wow, I don't know what that's about. But it's been
- 15:57Speaker 6: like about five close to six months that me and
- 16:00Speaker 6: Christal being you know, going out, you know, up here
- 16:03Speaker 6: at the school. But what I want to do is
- 16:05Speaker 6: tell you that I really really really like Crystal. Man. Uh,
- 16:10Speaker 6: and I wanted to call and tell you that, you know,
- 16:13Speaker 6: I'm really really interested in May and Crystal. You know,
- 16:16Speaker 6: I want, I really do want Christal to be my wife.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Well, I again, I've never heard of you before, and
- 16:25Speaker 5: my daughter has never ever mentioned you. My daughter isn't
- 16:29Speaker 5: dating anybody right now.
- 16:30Speaker 9: My daughter's in grad school.
- 16:31Speaker 6: I understand that, and you know, we you know, it's been.
- 16:34Speaker 6: You know, we've been, you know, a little back and
- 16:36Speaker 6: forth or whatever. But you know, the main thing is
- 16:38Speaker 6: me and Christal really, you know, we really, we really
- 16:41Speaker 6: do love each other. Miss I want to.
- 16:44Speaker 5: But if you love my daughter, she would have told
- 16:46Speaker 5: me that she was in love with someone.
- 16:49Speaker 6: Well, you know what you know. And maybe it's a
- 16:51Speaker 6: situation where Christa is like a little maybe a little
- 16:54Speaker 6: uneasy about talking to you about it. You know what
- 16:56Speaker 6: I'm saying.
- 16:56Speaker 5: My daughter can talk to me about anything.
- 16:58Speaker 6: We talk every day, right right, just like you. I
- 17:01Speaker 6: talk to my daughter every day.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Your daughter? And how old is your daughter?
- 17:05Speaker 6: My daughter? Fifteen?
- 17:07Speaker 5: Hold hold on a man, man, you said your daughter
- 17:10Speaker 5: was fifteen, right right?
- 17:12Speaker 6: Right? Okay?
- 17:13Speaker 5: How old are you?
- 17:14Speaker 6: I'm forty six, forty six?
- 17:17Speaker 9: You forty six year old?
- 17:19Speaker 5: You want a man? My twenty five year old daughter?
- 17:22Speaker 6: Hey, let me say this right here. Love ain't got
- 17:27Speaker 6: no limit, man, And I understand you know, I was
- 17:30Speaker 6: a little shocked at first about the age difference between us,
- 17:34Speaker 6: but you get you know what, man shocked to me? Okay,
- 17:37Speaker 6: and I understand that. But what I'm trying to explain
- 17:39Speaker 6: to you, man, is that it comes a time. Man,
- 17:42Speaker 6: you just don't know what's gonna happen. Man. Love just
- 17:45Speaker 6: love is love.
- 17:46Speaker 5: Man, And you've been locked to on parole at the
- 17:50Speaker 5: university on work release and my daughter.
- 17:52Speaker 6: Yeah, man, I'm gonna say this, man, Crystal is just
- 17:57Speaker 6: a beautiful person.
- 17:58Speaker 5: Man, hold on, man, and you calling me at the
- 18:01Speaker 5: blue dollars, look, man, kind of work. I got a
- 18:04Speaker 5: lot of work on my desk and you calling me
- 18:06Speaker 5: telling me form a jail bird wants to marry my daughter,
- 18:10Speaker 5: my twenty five year old daughter, and you, at fifty
- 18:13Speaker 5: and my age, you want to marry my daughter. Man,
- 18:16Speaker 5: I am not trying to talk to you about. What
- 18:18Speaker 5: I need to do is I need to talk to
- 18:19Speaker 5: Crystal and get to the bottom of vest. That's what
- 18:21Speaker 5: the hell I need to do.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Hey, and I understand that miss you was probably gonna
- 18:25Speaker 6: I want to talk to and I ain't got no

- 27:59Speaker 8: to get out of his house.
- 28:02Speaker 11: Does my husband have the right to control.
- 28:04Speaker 3: What I do?

- 29:14Speaker 8: used to run the streets together. I shut that down.
- 29:18Speaker 8: Now my wife thinks I have something to hide. My
- 29:21Speaker 8: past isn't up for discussion. How do I get my
- 29:25Speaker 8: wife to understand that?
- 29:27Speaker 1: Wait?
- 29:27Speaker 4: Wait, bro, yeah, don't don't. Don't discuss it. Leave things out.
- 29:35Speaker 4: I discussed my past all the time with my wife.
- 29:37Speaker 4: Do you know how much stuff i'd have left out?
- 29:43Speaker 4: How much I'm here to tell you, huh that I
- 29:46Speaker 4: have clearly left out at least seventy five percent?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Really? Yeah? Hell yeah?

- 30:11Speaker 1: That's like, I'm good, right, yeah, I'll fix it. What
- 30:14Speaker 1: you quit asking me about? What happened. Okay, but did
- 30:19Speaker 1: She'd have messed some of my friends and she'd have went, Mama,

- 30:26Speaker 8: Coming up at the top of the hour, we will
- 30:28Speaker 8: have some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 30:31Speaker 11: You're listening, Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:38Speaker 8: In a recent interview with The New Yorker, our forever
- 30:41Speaker 8: President Barack Obama stated that his need to speak out
- 30:45Speaker 8: against current President Donald Trump's actions and policies have created
- 30:49Speaker 8: quote genuine tension in his marriage to Michelle. Obama explained
- 30:54Speaker 8: that his wife, Michelle wants him to step back from
- 30:57Speaker 8: politics so they can enjoy their lives, but his continued
- 31:01Speaker 8: role as a major Democratic surrogate against Trump causes tension
- 31:05Speaker 8: in their household. Obama admitted that the ongoing political demands,
- 31:10Speaker 8: driven by the need to act as a counterweight to
- 31:13Speaker 8: Trump quote frustrates her. So here's a question, what do
- 31:18Speaker 8: you think about this? Obama has to be torn because
- 31:23Speaker 8: we still look at him as our leader, of course
- 31:25Speaker 8: in the Democratic Party. But Michelle wants her husband back. Basically,
- 31:29Speaker 8: she got every right to woman.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeh see you when you marry people like this, uh,
- 31:39Speaker 4: he was already a public servant, you know. Yeah, they've
- 31:43Speaker 4: been together for a while. They've had a great run.
- 31:45Speaker 4: I mean, I'm not not talking like it's over, but
- 31:47Speaker 4: they've had a great run, a good example of it.
- 31:51Speaker 4: But all marriages have these ups and downs in these moments.
- 31:55Speaker 4: But your husband can never ever not belong to the public. Yeah,
- 32:02Speaker 4: he got secret service.
- 32:03Speaker 8: And he's I mean people, Donald Trump is in office,
- 32:07Speaker 8: so I mean we need a counterbalance.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Somebody got to say something.
- 32:12Speaker 8: We need something here, yeah, yeah, the clap back, yeah
- 32:18Speaker 8: he does.
- 32:18Speaker 1: We need Your husband does not have the option or
- 32:24Speaker 1: the luxury to be normal. He don't. And you're speaking
- 32:29Speaker 1: from experience to that, right, he has. He has been
- 32:33Speaker 1: one of the great ones. And you don't get to
- 32:35Speaker 1: stop me.
- 32:36Speaker 4: Love.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't get to stop that. And I'm sorry, Michelle,
- 32:41Speaker 1: but that's just the people have chosen him. Huh.
- 32:45Speaker 8: I'm surprised he's spoken out about it, I really am.
- 32:49Speaker 8: That was kind of shocking to me that he even
- 32:51Speaker 8: mentioned that was going on with them, right, you know,
- 32:56Speaker 8: but at least he didn't post it.
- 33:00Speaker 11: Social media, all right.
- 33:02Speaker 8: Moving on, former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is heading
- 33:07Speaker 8: over to NBC, where he will join the cast at
- 33:09Speaker 8: Football Night in America as a studio analyst.
- 33:13Speaker 11: This move marks uh huh.
- 33:15Speaker 8: This move marks his first season away from the sidelines
- 33:18Speaker 8: after he was head coach of Pittsburgh for nineteen years.
- 33:22Speaker 11: So is this a good new job for him? Is
- 33:24Speaker 11: this a good fit for for Tomlin?
- 33:26Speaker 1: You think?
- 33:27Speaker 8: Hell?
- 33:27Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 33:29Speaker 1: He is one of the brilliant minds in football. No,
- 33:34Speaker 1: it's a man. He got everybody respects him. Everybody.

- 34:38Speaker 1: on one, I'll be going like, Okay, Kevin, my dude,
- 34:41Speaker 1: rolling dude.
- 34:44Speaker 11: And he always challenges to it to address challenge.
- 34:48Speaker 1: He always does that and has lost every time, especially.
- 34:55Speaker 11: With pocket hanky.
- 34:58Speaker 1: When the oh yeah, oh yeah, when he came up
- 35:02Speaker 1: with that feather dustin wasn't a feather duster?

- 35:12Speaker 4: Can I beat him in golf? Probably not his golf game,
- 35:17Speaker 4: probably not. Yeah, he's a he's a decent player.
- 35:21Speaker 1: But you know, that's it. That's it, that's the extent

- 56:46Speaker 11: It is Strawberry Letter, subject thanking nephew.
- 56:49Speaker 1: You get what you paid for.
- 56:51Speaker 11: You get what you paid for.
- 56:53Speaker 8: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a twenty eight year old executive
- 56:56Speaker 8: and I have all that I need because I learned
- 56:58Speaker 8: at an early age that I have a moneymaker below
- 57:02Speaker 8: my waist. I was raised by a single mother and
- 57:05Speaker 8: a real fly auntie that has always been for the streets.
- 57:09Speaker 8: I used to stay with my aunt after school and
- 57:11Speaker 8: she always had a different man around fixing up her
- 57:14Speaker 8: little raggedy house. She always got fresh flowers in to
- 57:17Speaker 8: her and she always had nice things. When I was
- 57:21Speaker 8: twelve years old, my grandma told me that my aunt
- 57:24Speaker 8: got whatever she wanted from men, and I could too.
- 57:27Speaker 8: I had the body of a grown woman by my
- 57:30Speaker 8: eighteenth birthday, so I started using it to get the
- 57:33Speaker 8: things I wanted and needed in my life. When I
- 57:36Speaker 8: moved into my first place, I had this older man
- 57:40Speaker 8: by me a washer and dryer, a sofa, and a
- 57:42Speaker 8: patio set after he paid my rent for three months.
- 57:47Speaker 8: He didn't require much for me, but I gave myself
- 57:50Speaker 8: to him because I felt like I owed him that.
- 57:52Speaker 8: As I got older, I wanted to settle down. I
- 57:55Speaker 8: cut off all my sugar daddies and I set up
- 57:58Speaker 8: an online dating profile. Two years ago, I met a
- 58:02Speaker 8: doctor and we have been dating for almost two years. Lately,
- 58:06Speaker 8: he stopped doing the nice things he used to do
- 58:08Speaker 8: for me. He started out taking me to the best
- 58:11Speaker 8: shops and restaurants, and he would send flowers to my
- 58:14Speaker 8: job and shower me with gifts. Now he treats me
- 58:17Speaker 8: like we're an old married couple. He's got a high
- 58:20Speaker 8: sex drive, and so do I, but I told him
- 58:22Speaker 8: we're putting sex on hold for now. He flipped out
- 58:25Speaker 8: on me and he called me a gold digger because
- 58:27Speaker 8: I switched things up on him. I told him, you
- 58:30Speaker 8: get what you pay for. Is it gold digger ish
- 58:34Speaker 8: to handle him like this since we're in a relationship.
- 58:37Speaker 1: What did I do wrong? Well, you did everything wrong.
- 58:41Speaker 8: I mean, this sounds like pay for play, This sounds
- 58:44Speaker 8: like prostitution, This sounds like a whole what this letter
- 58:49Speaker 8: is crazy right here? I think you got caught up
- 58:51Speaker 8: with the doctor as well. You can say that you
- 58:55Speaker 8: use men to get what you want, because you know
- 58:57Speaker 8: you had a money maker below your waist and all
- 58:59Speaker 8: of that. But this time I think he's got you.
- 59:02Speaker 8: I mean, I guess your mom and your auntie or
- 59:05Speaker 8: your grandmother whoever the auntie that was for the streets
- 59:08Speaker 8: didn't tell you about that part that sometimes you can
- 59:11Speaker 8: get caught up as well. You're never supposed to catch
- 59:14Speaker 8: feelings for these guys, because before you know it, they'll
- 59:17Speaker 8: flip it on you and do just what you're doing
- 59:20Speaker 8: to them.
- 59:22Speaker 1: They'll do that to you.
- 59:23Speaker 8: And now you're looking for him and wondering about him
- 59:25Speaker 8: and what he's doing and why he's not buying you
- 59:28Speaker 8: stuff like before you cutting him off and telling him
- 59:31Speaker 8: you get what you pay for it sounds like prostitution
- 59:33Speaker 8: on your part. I mean, I'm sure it also means
- 59:36Speaker 8: he's mad and he's starting to take you for granted.
- 59:39Speaker 8: He probably thinks you shouldn't have to he shouldn't have
- 59:41Speaker 8: to buy you stuff anymore. It's been two years, because
- 59:44Speaker 8: you guys have been together for a while now, now
- 59:47Speaker 8: he's calling you a gold digger so he won't have
- 59:49Speaker 8: to continue paying for you.
- 59:51Speaker 1: This is kind of how this goes.
- 59:53Speaker 8: You know, it started off one way, but two years
- 59:56Speaker 8: later it's into a whole nother different situation. You're saying
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: you get what you pay for. I mean, what does
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: that make you? Come on, think about it, Steve.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I got this letter figured out right away.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: This ain't gonna take me long, and I don't know
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: if I'm gonna take my time doing this.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: So here we go.
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: Pay attention, ladies. Anybody need to hear this, especially if
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: you feel like this young lady does. Twenty eve year
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: old executive. I have all that I need because I
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: learned at the early age that I have a money
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: maker below my waist.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Well do you know that that's not new information?
- 1:00:31Speaker 12: Do you know.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: That every single living female has one? Do you know that.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: But the fact that you refer to it as a
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: money maker, there's system mistake.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: You make it.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: Because what you have is valuable. But when you refer
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: to it as a money maker, well we talk about
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: something else.
- 1:00:58Speaker 13: Now.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: That's the oldest profession in the world. I was raised
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: by a single.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: Mother and a real flyer aunt that always has been
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: for the streets. I used to stay with my aunt
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: after school, and she always had a different man around,
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: fixing up her little raggedy house. I'm gonna come right
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: back to that in a minute. She always got fresh,
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: fresh flowers sent to her. She always had nice things.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: But see you said something a minute ago that was
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: key fixing up her little raggedy house. Oh we got
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: money for flowers. We give you a couch, we give
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: you things to go in your little raggedy house. But
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: you know what a man ain't gonna do. He ain't
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: gonna put you in no home because you got to
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: show a different type of value to get a home
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: out the deal, saying nobody fina make a home with you.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: They just gonna keep putting little stuff in your aunt
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: ragged pouse and watch this. Uh, My grandmama told me
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: that My aunt got whatever she wanted from me, and
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: I could too. I had to buy the of a
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: grown woman by the time my eighteenth birthday, so I
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: started using it to get things I wanted and need
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: it in my life. When I moved into my first place.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: Here you go, just like your aunt, her little raggedy house.
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: Guess what you had to do. You had to get
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: your own first place. I had this older man buy
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: me a washer, and drive, a sofa, a patio set,
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: and he paid rent for three months.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: You know what he did. He put things in your
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: little raggedy pouse.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: But guess what he didn't do. He ain't give you
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: no home. You see where I'm going with this When
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: I come back. The rest of the heartbreak story is
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: on New Way.
- 1:03:01Speaker 8: All right, Steve, We'll have part two of your response
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's
- 1:03:07Speaker 8: Strawberry letter subject you get what you're paid for. We'll
- 1:03:09Speaker 8: get back into it right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: Harvey Morning shows.
- 1:03:19Speaker 12: Do you ever notice your floors still look dirty even
- 1:03:22Speaker 12: after you mop? Power mop gives you a deeper clean
- 1:03:25Speaker 12: you can see and feel, unlike stream mops. Swart for
- 1:03:28Speaker 12: power Mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even
- 1:03:32Speaker 12: and hard to reach places.
- 1:03:34Speaker 11: Like behind the toilet.
- 1:03:35Speaker 12: The new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning
- 1:03:39Speaker 12: actions for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No
- 1:03:43Speaker 12: more dirty floors. Try the swift for power Mop. Love
- 1:03:46Speaker 12: it or your money back?
- 1:03:47Speaker 8: All right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter subject.
- 1:03:51Speaker 11: You get what you pay for.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: Yeah, you do, and you're gonna pay for what you get.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: See that's part you listened, missing long name. You get
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: what you pay for, but you forgot though, you got
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: to pay for what you get. And so here you
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: go because you got this banging body by the time
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: you use at You used to go over to your
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: aunt's house in State. Your aunt was all the ways
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: about them streets, you say. So your aunt had a
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: different man over there all the time, and they was
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: giving her things, and you said, fixing up her little
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: raggedy house.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: All they put flowers in it.
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: They did all types of nice things for her, but
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: they didn't give her no home a man to slick.
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: See see see once he finds. Once a man find
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: out you tricky, and he know you tricky, You're not
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: fit to trick him. So let's give the tricker some
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: trink cats. So your aunt had a bunch of trink cats,
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: never had a real man, never had a great house, cause.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: You lived in Ragged's house. They just put little stuff
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: in you.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: Then your grandmama told you that you could be like
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: your aunt, get whatever you want because you had a
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: grown woman body.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: So you start using it to get things you wanted
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: and need it in your life. Then here we go.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: Here you go repeating, just like y'all when I moved
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: into my first place, ain't nobody buy that for you?
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: So you moved into yo little Ragged's house. Then I
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: had older men buy me a washing dry. I had
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: this older man buy me a washing dry, some things,
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: a sofa, some things. Bought you a patio set something.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: See you think you doing something. See old men got
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: money because they've been alive for a long time. So yeah,
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: older man gonna have more money than thirty year old dude.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: He got a little extra expendable income because he probably
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: got all that of his house. So buying you a
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: little patio set down that sun patio that he saw
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: on sl for you know, one hundred and eighty nine dollars.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: You get the umbrella of the table. The folk chairs
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: are Chase, Clo, Mat Welcome Matt. Yeah he got that
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: for you. You thought you had so, but go back
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: and look at it. That's that sun patio. They throw
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: themselves every weekend and then. But I gave myself to
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: him because I felt like I owed him now. Yeah,
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: because that's what you was trained to do with your
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: grown woman body. You exchange your precious body for trinkets.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: As I got older, I wanted to settle down. Oh
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: but watch how this worked though. I cut off all
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: my sugar daddies and set up an online dating profile.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: Two years ago, I met a doctor. We've been dating
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: for almost two years, two years now, and now lately
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: he stopped doing the nice things he used to do
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: for me. He started out taking me to the best
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: shops and restaurants. He was sending flowers to my job,
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: showered me with gifts. Now he treats me like we're
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: an old man couple. He got a high sex driving,
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: so do I. But I told him we putting sex
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: on whole for now. He flipped out on me. He
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: called me a gold digger. Excuse me, excuse me, He
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: called you what a gold digger? What's the problem? You
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: use your body to dig for gold? Ain't then what
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: you're saying? Excuse me, why are you writing this? What
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: part of this is Shirley and I are supposed to
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: help you with. I switched things up on him. He
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: called you a gold digger because I switched things up
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: on him. I told him, you get what you paid for.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: So you told this to a doctor that you get
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: what you paid for. But see the reason he changed
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: because he started seeing signs in it. He started seeing
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: things about you. He started discovering you wasn't about nothing,
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: see because you don't realize it, but you kept some
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: of your ways. You always sitting up at the night shop.
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: Ain't putting nothing in the table with him. He ain't
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: see no future. The man a doctor. He ain't gonna
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: carry you nowhere. You don't know how to act. You're
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: spending all this money, you accept everything. You don't get
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: this man a card or nothing. Is it gold diggerish
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: to handle him like this? Since we're in a relationship,
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: what are you stupid? All your relationships have been, sugar Daddy,
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: all your relationships you trading your body for things and
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: now you want to know, in a relationship, is it
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: gold diggers to handle him like this? Since we're in
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: a relationship, what did I do wrong? You don't you
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: keep having arrangements. You don't have relationships, You have arrangements.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: I'm gonna give you this for this banging body, this
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: money maker I got below my waist, and y'all give
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: me things now. The ain't an fill up your little
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: ragged apartment, just like they fill up your aunt's raggedy house.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: Every man you meet is willing to give you things
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: to make your house look better. And he now one
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: of the men gonna give you no home. That doctor
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: and I finna marry you? Are you crazy?
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Are you kidding me?
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: You think this man, this doctor is gonna marry you?
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: And then you verbally said it, you get what you
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: pay for. Once you say that to a man, I'll
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: promise you you can't take that back, because you are
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: messing with the one of the two things that we
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: are good at, protection and provision. And once you start
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: down playing our provision ability, yeah, you're right, you get
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: what you pay for. But let them tell you something else.
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: You're gonna pay for what you get. And now you're
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: fit to pay. Now you need to go somewhere and
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: sit your little find dusty behind down somewhere and let
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: your little things center down somewhere, because right now you
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: got too much activity on it. Okay, you out in

- 1:13:56Speaker 8: Woman wants to know if her husband's cheating with the neighbor.
- 1:13:58Speaker 8: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:06Speaker 8: All right, guys, this is from Lola in Tampa. Lola says,
- 1:14:10Speaker 8: I was next door chopping it up with a neighbor
- 1:14:13Speaker 8: and my husband called her and I saw his whole
- 1:14:17Speaker 8: name pop up on her phone. She fumbled with the
- 1:14:20Speaker 8: phone and said it was a spam call. I know
- 1:14:24Speaker 8: what I saw, and I asked her why my husband
- 1:14:26Speaker 8: was calling her. She said it was a guy that
- 1:14:29Speaker 8: she works with. I noticed that she silenced her phone.
- 1:14:32Speaker 8: After that, I checked my husband's phone later that night,
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: and I didn't see any calls to the neighbor.
- 1:14:38Speaker 11: I know, I'm not crazy, So.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: What is going on? God? Number one?
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: Number one, you are crazy? Number two When you check
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: your husband phone, her number was not on there.
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: Because he dumped it.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: Okay, of course, say your father, So now your proofs hm?
- 1:15:07Speaker 8: Okay, okay, that was a little close for comfort. Though
- 1:15:11Speaker 8: too close right next door?
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Well, she jumped to a conclude. Should have waited what
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: to catch them in? Said none to her, went and
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: checked his phone later, she'd have got it. Well, yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: she told the neighbor. Gave the husband heads up. Uh
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: huh oh, yeah, deleted that. She deleted her number off
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: of that. Yeah, that's all beautiful. Get great moves.
- 1:15:39Speaker 11: Oh, you commend him they moved.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Okay, I wonder he did throw the whole phone away.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: I'm just that's what you.
- 1:15:49Speaker 11: Would have done right in the tra gotta go down
- 1:15:53Speaker 11: here to the phone store.
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: I'd have set the house on fire and created a
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: diversion the whole house.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Yeah, just stop cheating, how about that? That's so easy?
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: Yeah all right, Well, honestly, why I sit in the
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: house on fire? Such a bad eye. Did you go
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: to lose it into divorce?
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Catch your logic?
- 1:16:16Speaker 8: But he does have a point. All right, we have
- 1:16:21Speaker 8: time for another one. This is from a mod in
- 1:16:23Speaker 8: Ahmed and Jackson. Ahmed says, my sister is dating one
- 1:16:28Speaker 8: of my old friends that I fell out with years ago.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Years ago.
- 1:16:32Speaker 8: I stepped in when he was arguing with a girl
- 1:16:34Speaker 8: at the club and he shoved the girl. I told
- 1:16:37Speaker 8: him he went too far and he swung on me.
- 1:16:40Speaker 8: So we got into a big fight and I ended
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: up spending the night in jail. So did he My
- 1:16:46Speaker 8: sister knows about that, but she's still dating him. If
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: he touches my sister, I'm going to catch a case.
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: I know people can change, So should I stay out
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: of her business? That's his question from Ahmed.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: She shared this information with her sister. Well, no, no, no, no, Yeah,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: my sister knows about that, but she's still dating him.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 1:17:09Speaker 11: But yeah, she knows, she knows, and he's just letting
- 1:17:14Speaker 11: put everybody's.
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: Low standards, you know, maybe her girlfriends and girl. Why
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: are you dating him? Well, I like a man to
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: stand up for herself, you know.
- 1:17:23Speaker 8: But but if he touches her, The brother says, you know,
- 1:17:26Speaker 8: he's not going to stand by and let this man
- 1:17:30Speaker 8: touch his sister, you know, hit hit his sister.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: That well, oh this was a man letter.
- 1:17:38Speaker 11: Yeah, a man wrote the letter.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: Yeah, Ahmed, you thought it was a woman.
- 1:17:42Speaker 11: Yeah, oh imd this is his name, Ahmed.
- 1:17:46Speaker 8: And then so he got into his sister, Yeah, years
- 1:17:49Speaker 8: ago with this guy who shoved a girl at a club.
- 1:17:52Speaker 8: They both spent the night in jail. His sister knows
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: what happened, but she's still dating the guy. So Ahmed
- 1:17:58Speaker 8: wants to know, even though people can change, should he
- 1:18:02Speaker 8: stay out of his sister's business, because if he touches
- 1:18:06Speaker 8: his sister, if he hits his sister, you know it's
- 1:18:08Speaker 8: going down.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Well yeah, I definitely. I mean, I don't know why
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: she should heed her brother's warning, but she's not.
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: Yeah, if a man is in a club gets into
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: argument with a woman and puts his hand on her,
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: shoved her anything, that's a red flag.
- 1:18:27Speaker 8: Yeah yeah yeah, but she said wait anyway, and she
- 1:18:33Speaker 8: knows that yeah. Wow, Okay, all right, they're still dating.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:18:43Speaker 8: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, we will
- 1:18:45Speaker 8: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
