- 1:06Speaker 2: Adriana a Yalla. How you doing, Adrianna?
- 1:09Speaker 3: Pretty good? Thank you for having me on.
- 1:12Speaker 2: First of all, lets get a little background. Are you
- 1:14Speaker 2: have you ever been an event planner?
- 1:16Speaker 4: No?
- 1:17Speaker 1: Never, Okay, So that means you walked into a world
- 1:20Speaker 1: you have not experienced.
- 1:22Speaker 2: What are you doing prior to becoming an entrepreneur in
- 1:25Speaker 2: the event planning space?
- 1:28Speaker 3: So I was working for well, I'm still working for
- 1:30Speaker 3: a corporation in financial services.
- 1:34Speaker 2: So you know about numbers, you know about budgets, you
- 1:38Speaker 2: know about the bottom line, and you're doing it, I
- 1:41Speaker 2: believe smartly. You still got your full time job and
- 1:44Speaker 2: you're building another company on the side. And I recommend
- 1:47Speaker 2: that to people all the time. Don't walk away, just
- 1:50Speaker 2: jump out there on faith and you have really properly
- 1:53Speaker 2: ironed out all the details.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Now, how long have you been doing this? Miss A Yalla?
- 1:59Speaker 3: The financial service for ten years?
- 2:01Speaker 1: For ten years? And then when did the idea of balloons?
- 2:08Speaker 2: Was that a skill you always had or is something
- 2:11Speaker 2: you picked up along the way over these last ten years.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It's definitely not a skill I had at all. I
- 2:17Speaker 3: learned it and I became a mother in twenty eighteen.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And then when my son came of age, you know,
- 2:24Speaker 3: like in the one one and a half year old,
- 2:26Speaker 3: I was like, I want to have a kids party.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I want to make something nice but I didn't want
- 2:30Speaker 3: to do the traditional like helium balloons and you set
- 2:33Speaker 3: them on the tables or the chairs or whatnot. I
- 2:35Speaker 3: want to do something different. So I just literally went
- 2:38Speaker 3: on Pinterest to like look up some ideas, and this
- 2:41Speaker 3: whole idea trend with organic baoons without helium was out.
- 2:46Speaker 3: So I was like, let me just try this.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Okay, we'll all on Nana. Now explain you said organic balloons.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Yeah, so the organic balloons basically means that you are
- 2:56Speaker 3: bunching a bunch of balloons filled with high air or
- 3:00Speaker 3: air in general, and then making a design, some type
- 3:05Speaker 3: of design to go on a wall.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Okay, Like I'm just tell you my experience with balloon designs.
- 3:10Speaker 2: You know, be walking through a park, a guy with
- 3:12Speaker 2: a clown come up to you, start twisting things, and
- 3:14Speaker 2: next thing you've got an elephant?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Is that what you're talking about?
- 3:17Speaker 3: No, that's a twister. That's a balloon twister.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Okay, education, one on one, that's a balloon twister.
- 3:26Speaker 1: What are you?
- 3:27Speaker 3: I'm an artist, a balloon decore artist. So when you
- 3:31Speaker 3: think of the core, you're setting a stage or a
- 3:34Speaker 3: central centerpiece or central focal point for a party or
- 3:39Speaker 3: an event.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Okay, let me get this early out the way. You
- 3:42Speaker 2: have a website, right, yes, sir? Okay cool as we
- 3:45Speaker 2: as we're doing this interview, if you're listening, what is
- 3:48Speaker 2: your website?
- 3:49Speaker 3: Ayala balloon Events dot Com.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Okay, go to that spell your name because I'm pretty
- 3:54Speaker 2: sure they don't know how to spell that first name.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Ayala A y A l A balloon with two else
- 4:00Speaker 3: events with a s.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Okay cool Ayala Balloons events dot Com right correct, Okay,
- 4:06Speaker 2: go there and we can continue this conversation because I
- 4:09Speaker 2: want you to see exactly what you're talking about.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Now.
- 4:11Speaker 2: With that being said, be as descriptive as you can
- 4:15Speaker 2: and describing what you do.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So when you contact me and you want a design
- 4:22Speaker 3: your typically my clients already know an idea or have
- 4:26Speaker 3: some type of inspiration, so I basically take that inspiration
- 4:30Speaker 3: that client has and recreate it in my own artistic
- 4:34Speaker 3: way for their party or corporate event. You're bunging a
- 4:37Speaker 3: bunch of balloons and with air and making what we
- 4:41Speaker 3: call a cluster to kind of accentuate your focal point
- 4:46Speaker 3: or centerpiece at your event, or.
- 4:49Speaker 2: If they're getting married, they can have balloons over an
- 4:52Speaker 2: archway that they walk through. Correct, Yes, on did you
- 4:55Speaker 2: realize this was a talent that you can use to
- 4:58Speaker 2: make money off of?
- 4:59Speaker 1: A y'alla.
- 5:01Speaker 3: After a couple of friends and film members asked me
- 5:03Speaker 3: to do it for them. And then I actually have
- 5:08Speaker 3: a friend that she does the same thing for her
- 5:11Speaker 3: friends and families, and our sons were best friends. And
- 5:14Speaker 3: we're seeing that, you know, people actually do this and
- 5:17Speaker 3: get paid for it. People were hiring people to put balloons,
- 5:19Speaker 3: and we were doing this basically for free for our
- 5:21Speaker 3: friends and family as hobbies. And we're like, we can
- 5:25Speaker 3: get paid for this, okay, So we end up taking
- 5:28Speaker 3: a class.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Now it's it's a rare skill set though it's a
- 5:32Speaker 2: real scare. It's a rare skill set and you took
- 5:35Speaker 2: a class. There's a class out there for this.
- 5:37Speaker 3: There's a lot of classes.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yes, talk to us about the class.
- 5:41Speaker 3: So the class, the class that we took was basically
- 5:44Speaker 3: fundamentals because there's there's different ways to make these organic garlands.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Was speaking to Adriana ayala Is her company inspired by
- 5:57Speaker 2: her children, three children's and high quality balloon the Core
- 6:02Speaker 2: and modern bounce house rentals for weddings, birthdays, in corporate events,
- 6:07Speaker 2: in Georgia. Now I'm talking about balloon the core, but
- 6:12Speaker 2: you also included modern bounce house rentals, so you're coming
- 6:16Speaker 2: in you move beyond just balloons. You're becoming a one
- 6:20Speaker 2: stop shop, correct.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Yes, I am, I am. So the balance houses. When
- 6:25Speaker 3: you think of a balance house, you usually think of
- 6:27Speaker 3: it for kids, but the modern ones it's all white,
- 6:30Speaker 3: so it's very classy. If there's a bridal shower, bachulette
- 6:34Speaker 3: party or photos for a wedding, oh you know, your
- 6:39Speaker 3: your groomsmen or bridesmaids. You jump in there and then
- 6:43Speaker 3: the photographer takes a picture in that jump house, just
- 6:45Speaker 3: having fun.
- 6:47Speaker 2: What were the early stages of getting out out there
- 6:50Speaker 2: and establishing this business.
- 6:53Speaker 3: You got to make sure you get your insurance, that's
- 6:55Speaker 3: for sure. At the end of the day, this is
- 6:57Speaker 3: a business. It's customer service. You have to do what
- 7:00Speaker 3: you can to make the customer happy, and you got
- 7:02Speaker 3: to prepare yourself for any things they unexpected things to happen,
- 7:06Speaker 3: So you want to picture you're ensured for sure.
- 7:08Speaker 2: What were your thoughts when you started a business, where
- 7:10Speaker 2: they any moments of frustration or disappointment that made you
- 7:14Speaker 2: even think of turning back the clock and say I'm
- 7:18Speaker 2: as stick with just making my kids happy whenever they
- 7:21Speaker 2: want to see blows.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yeah, there's been a moment, a lot of moments, and
- 7:25Speaker 3: it's it's it's fear. It's honestly, fear of not being
- 7:30Speaker 3: great enough for your client. Your clients have expectations of
- 7:36Speaker 3: what they see on a picture and they want you
- 7:38Speaker 3: to mimic it exactly, and that's just not the reality.
- 7:41Speaker 3: The person that made the picture is and they've made
- 7:44Speaker 3: that with their design and artistic abilities, and I'm just
- 7:49Speaker 3: I'm doing my artistic abilities.
- 7:51Speaker 2: So basically, a y'alla, what you were saying is that
- 7:54Speaker 2: people want you to replicate.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Work that's not yours exactly, and.
- 8:00Speaker 2: That can become a stumbling block because you don't know
- 8:02Speaker 2: how they did the job, or it can be because
- 8:06Speaker 2: some people can do things that are complicated and have
- 8:08Speaker 2: the equipment to do it. Because I'm assuming that all
- 8:13Speaker 2: balloons aren't the same sides.
- 8:14Speaker 1: When you start doing these works of.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Arts, they're not exactly. So I'm definitely not in the
- 8:19Speaker 3: business to be replicating anyone else's art. That's their art,
- 8:23Speaker 3: that's their signature technique. I want people to know me
- 8:27Speaker 3: as I la balloon events and the way I do
- 8:29Speaker 3: my technique can create.
- 8:30Speaker 1: A confident person. I'm talking here, you know. Now, let's
- 8:34Speaker 1: talk about getting your brain out there. Now.
- 8:36Speaker 2: What inspired you to focus specifically on gender revealed events.
- 8:41Speaker 3: I mean, I've always grown up wanting kids. I've always
- 8:45Speaker 3: wanted five kids. As we established, I have three right
- 8:48Speaker 3: now we kind of pause on the five. But I
- 8:55Speaker 3: mean just being a mother, like being able to hold
- 8:59Speaker 3: the child world and to become pregnant is a special gift,
- 9:04Speaker 3: and being able to be part of someone's happiness and
- 9:07Speaker 3: bringing joy. To know what the sex is, you know,
- 9:11Speaker 3: fills my heart because I know how it is, how
- 9:14Speaker 3: difficult it can be to become pregnant and then once
- 9:17Speaker 3: you are, you know, to carry for nine months. I
- 9:21Speaker 3: really do believe in creating core memories, and I feel
- 9:26Speaker 3: like what I provide is a core memory for families
- 9:29Speaker 3: that decide to do your gender reveal, and it brings
- 9:31Speaker 3: me happiness, and I know it brings my clients happy.
- 9:34Speaker 2: So what are some of your most popular signature balloons
- 9:36Speaker 2: setups for gender reveals?
- 9:38Speaker 3: So, my most popular is a simple backdrop with it's
- 9:43Speaker 3: like a half moon arch with balloons on the side.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Of it and like a little cluster at the bottom
- 9:48Speaker 3: of it, and we'll say, oh, baby or baby Patel
- 9:52Speaker 3: if that baby in their last name. And then I
- 9:56Speaker 3: have a little prop that was like a little detonator,
- 9:59Speaker 3: so when the fire works go off, you know, they
- 10:01Speaker 3: count down from ten or three, three, two one, and
- 10:04Speaker 3: they push it down and they know the gender of
- 10:07Speaker 3: their child.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Boy. What if I have an idea of what I want?
- 10:11Speaker 1: How does that work? Oh?
- 10:13Speaker 3: I definitely encourage that. I definitely take what we call
- 10:17Speaker 3: inspiration pictures, So do say I want this, but add
- 10:21Speaker 3: a little bit of this, a little bit of that,
- 10:23Speaker 3: so it's not exactly the picture, and I'm like, oh, yes,
- 10:25Speaker 3: I can definitely do that for them. A lot of
- 10:27Speaker 3: people now want to create something unique, which I really
- 10:31Speaker 3: appreciate because I am unique.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Oh good, you haven't. We're not through yet. But does
- 10:37Speaker 1: Ayala balloons? She's very unique.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Don't bring her photos she've seen You've seen in the magazine.
- 10:44Speaker 1: With that being said, because you're talking about are there
- 10:47Speaker 1: safety concerns?
- 10:49Speaker 2: Definitely, because you mentioned insurance earlier, which I recommend everybody
- 10:53Speaker 2: who starts a business should have insurance because if you're
- 10:56Speaker 2: doing work, I'm going to ask you for your certificate
- 10:59Speaker 2: of insurance immediately, and if you don't have it, then
- 11:02Speaker 2: I can't do business with you because you technically are
- 11:05Speaker 2: doing business for yourself and you don't have any concern.
- 11:09Speaker 1: For the safety of who you're doing business with.
- 11:12Speaker 2: With that being with that in mind, you've already mentioned insurance,
- 11:15Speaker 2: so you have that in mind. What about the safety
- 11:17Speaker 2: aspect of it, because you did mention the balloon house.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Yeah, so that is my main point, the balloon balance houses.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Accidents can happen, so you want to make sure that
- 11:29Speaker 3: your clients protected and obviously I want to protect my
- 11:32Speaker 3: business as well, but I have my clients in mind
- 11:34Speaker 3: in that aspect as well. With the gender reveals, you know,
- 11:39Speaker 3: at the end of the day, those fireworks that are
- 11:41Speaker 3: used are actual fireworks, so you have to detonate them.
- 11:44Speaker 3: So you have to ignite it with fire and you
- 11:47Speaker 3: always want to make sure that your clients they're usually
- 11:50Speaker 3: sitting in front of the backdrop with their detonator, so
- 11:52Speaker 3: you have to make sure there's a good range between
- 11:54Speaker 3: the file out zone of the fireworks going off and
- 11:56Speaker 3: that they just make sure that there's not a chance
- 12:01Speaker 3: of it affecting the couple and then their observers that
- 12:06Speaker 3: are seeing the smoke come.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Out a complicated You gotta shield, you got distance and
- 12:13Speaker 2: all that good stuff. So basically what you're telling us
- 12:17Speaker 2: on certain situations with your agenda revealed, especially when you
- 12:20Speaker 2: get into the firework, it has to be an open.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Space, Yes, it does. We got to be clear of trees,
- 12:26Speaker 3: you got to be clear of people. It makes me
- 12:30Speaker 3: stay clear of that.
- 12:31Speaker 1: How do you market yourself? Are y'all? How do you
- 12:33Speaker 1: get the word out about your brain?
- 12:35Speaker 3: I'm mostly on social media on Instagram. I love Instagram,
- 12:39Speaker 3: and I post a lot of videos and stories and
- 12:42Speaker 3: content of the balloon sets that I do do.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Now, what are your reactions on social media? Because first
- 12:50Speaker 2: of all, it can't be free. It can relate to everybody.
- 12:53Speaker 2: You know, I'll consider myself a marketing guru. I would
- 12:56Speaker 2: think that you do balloons, you do artwork, do setups?
- 13:01Speaker 2: How do you What message are you given to your
- 13:05Speaker 2: audience or followers or prospective followers that you want to
- 13:09Speaker 2: talk about your brand? Why would they want to come
- 13:13Speaker 2: to you? I guess is what I'm trying to get
- 13:15Speaker 2: out of this conversation.
- 13:17Speaker 1: When it comes to your posts.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Well, I feel a lot of people would want to
- 13:22Speaker 3: go with me because I have a family and I
- 13:26Speaker 3: know what it's like to be a mother, and me
- 13:30Speaker 3: in particular, I'm very neitpicky and precise, so I want
- 13:35Speaker 3: everything to be perfect.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Well, that been said, pain points and setups, you know,
- 13:42Speaker 2: let's walk through the whole process of you know, you
- 13:44Speaker 2: have a bounce house or a big balloon house, you
- 13:48Speaker 2: have our gender reveal setup or corporate events, because each
- 13:53Speaker 2: one of them has their own pain points. Okay, let's
- 13:56Speaker 2: start with your corporate events. What are some of the
- 13:59Speaker 2: pain points in corporate events?
- 14:01Speaker 3: Time? Just having the time necessary allotted to provide what
- 14:04Speaker 3: they want a lot of times when I'm preparing for
- 14:08Speaker 3: a corporate event, I have to preinflate my balloons in
- 14:12Speaker 3: order to make maybe an hour or two hour crunch
- 14:15Speaker 3: time to be able to set up. So time is
- 14:17Speaker 3: always an issue with corporate events. In and out, in
- 14:20Speaker 3: and out.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Oh good, So what is the paid point for gender reveal?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Which is your specialty?
- 14:28Speaker 3: The pain point for gender reveal is making sure that
- 14:32Speaker 3: gender is correct.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Come on now, come on now laughing because obviously they
- 14:38Speaker 2: have been some mistakes.
- 14:41Speaker 3: No, I'm gonna be honest, the getting the color hasn't
- 14:44Speaker 3: been a mistake, but it's always just like in the
- 14:45Speaker 3: back of my head, like what if I got it wrong?
- 14:48Speaker 3: They did textus like in big black letters, boy or
- 14:51Speaker 3: girl whatever. I'm like, but in my mind, I'm like
- 14:53Speaker 3: having nightmares, like did I get this ready?
- 14:55Speaker 4: I'm right sure, Please don't go any We'll be right
- 15:01Speaker 4: back with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass. Welcome back to
- 15:10Speaker 4: the Money Making Conversations master Class, hosted by Rashaan McDonald.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Know some I believe that I would be kind of
- 15:22Speaker 2: paranoi until that color comes out and then they celebrate
- 15:26Speaker 2: because you know that's a big moment and you don't
- 15:29Speaker 2: want the girl colors will pop up and they got
- 15:31Speaker 2: a board. That's ultimate disaster because there's different emotions that
- 15:36Speaker 2: people are gonna give when they see the colors exactly.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Yeah. Another pain point with that is also I'm very
- 15:46Speaker 3: conscious of what I wear for ginger reveals. I don't
- 15:49Speaker 3: wear blue or peak, very general neutral clothes, white T shirt.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, because they think you have a clue.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Well, they know I have a clue, so they're like,
- 15:58Speaker 3: is she trying to give me a head or yeah,
- 16:00Speaker 3: I make sure.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Well, first of all, it sounds like your business is fun,
- 16:06Speaker 2: but it also sounds like this business can be nerve
- 16:09Speaker 2: racking because you are delivering an experience and you don't
- 16:15Speaker 2: know how they feel about the experience until after the
- 16:19Speaker 2: experience has been produced. Now, with that being said, how
- 16:23Speaker 2: could you deal with that level of tension or stress?
- 16:28Speaker 3: It's adrenalin. So I think that's the reason why I
- 16:31Speaker 3: like it so much. Just okay, are you sure? I mean,
- 16:35Speaker 3: I do make sure with my clients as I'm decorating,
- 16:38Speaker 3: I make sure the position right when I set it
- 16:41Speaker 3: up if it's okay after I finish the balloons. Do
- 16:44Speaker 3: you like this? Are you sure? I get a lot
- 16:46Speaker 3: of confirmation from my clients and then I do. I mean,
- 16:50Speaker 3: for my business, it's really appreciated that I get their
- 16:53Speaker 3: testimonials and reviews, so I do follow up with them.
- 16:57Speaker 3: But to me, it's pretty easy to see to see
- 17:01Speaker 3: without them telling me how content they are, So it's
- 17:05Speaker 3: like an instant gratification. You know. Obviously, if they don't
- 17:08Speaker 3: like it, I would stink, but I would immediately know
- 17:13Speaker 3: if they didn't like it. Oh.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I'm speaking to Audriana Ayala. She started a business with
- 17:19Speaker 2: three children. She wants five, but she's there three right now,
- 17:22Speaker 2: children in mind. At Ayala Balloon, they specialize in high
- 17:26Speaker 2: quality balloon decor and modern bounce house rentals for weddings, birthdays,
- 17:31Speaker 2: and corporate events in Georgia.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Now, last minute changes.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Last minute changes, I dealt with them. I live for it.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Let's let's let's back up. Let's back up a little
- 17:44Speaker 1: bit on that.
- 17:45Speaker 2: A yalla, okay, Let's go through the process of somebody
- 17:49Speaker 2: contacting you for a balloon event. Only I don't want
- 17:52Speaker 2: to get to the bull to the bouncy balloons, the
- 17:55Speaker 2: balloon houses and stuff like that. They're contacting you, so
- 17:58Speaker 2: you have to have a certain just stipulations along the way.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Well, you know, they give you the deposit, you buy
- 18:05Speaker 2: the balloons and the delivery. Right in the delivery stage,
- 18:10Speaker 2: they want to last minute change.
- 18:12Speaker 1: How does that work?
- 18:15Speaker 3: Honestly, they would be charged an extra fee for a
- 18:18Speaker 3: change in service. And honestly, it really depends what it is.
- 18:21Speaker 3: If I'm already at the location and asked me for
- 18:23Speaker 3: a change, and maybe I had to leave and go
- 18:26Speaker 3: back out and get something, there's gonna be an extra
- 18:28Speaker 3: charge for it. But I think I do pretty well
- 18:31Speaker 3: with accommodating with changes. They're pretty minor and I usually
- 18:34Speaker 3: have all the material that I need to be able
- 18:36Speaker 3: to accommodate a change like that for my clients. But
- 18:40Speaker 3: there would be an extra fee to accommodate it.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you this. I don't know how
- 18:44Speaker 2: this works. You know, I didn't do a gender revealed.
- 18:48Speaker 2: My wife told me. I think it was doing an
- 18:52Speaker 2: exam that we were like, we discovered that there was
- 18:54Speaker 2: a boy or girl. That's how was notified. Who contact
- 19:00Speaker 2: you or gender reveals?
- 19:02Speaker 3: Usually the parents. A parent that's like it's their first
- 19:06Speaker 3: to be grandchild, so a mom or some I've been
- 19:10Speaker 3: getting a lot of dad's calling to they want to
- 19:12Speaker 3: surprise their significant other, like let's do this gender reveal.
- 19:16Speaker 3: But they arranged for like the sister or the mom
- 19:20Speaker 3: to inform me of the gender. So they want to say.
- 19:25Speaker 1: They want know.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Now, you say, you're in finance, been there ten years,
- 19:30Speaker 2: How do you price this out? I'm not trying you
- 19:34Speaker 2: give me pecific numbers, but how you know? Like Rich,
- 19:37Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you this. Like when I when I
- 19:39Speaker 2: hire people, I go online, I look at the different
- 19:42Speaker 2: job requirements and things like that, and given sense, I
- 19:45Speaker 2: talk to my HR person, get a salary structure and
- 19:48Speaker 2: all that stuff. I get different descriptions, and I go, Okay,
- 19:51Speaker 2: this is what this job is paying at this level
- 19:54Speaker 2: of experience versus this level experience versus this level experience.
- 19:58Speaker 1: That's how I kind.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Of get They're my information, but I'm also gathering it
- 20:02Speaker 2: from somebody who's as experienced in HR. How does a
- 20:06Speaker 2: person who's going into the business, because your price point matters,
- 20:10Speaker 2: it matters, and your time matters, and you've got a
- 20:13Speaker 2: full time job, okay, and you.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Got three kids, set your price point. Tell us how
- 20:19Speaker 1: you do it.
- 20:20Speaker 3: So I calculate my overhead, So the cost of materials
- 20:24Speaker 3: that I'm using or you know, gap utilities, the band
- 20:29Speaker 3: that I use to transport the the backdrops and balloons,
- 20:34Speaker 3: and the actual cost of the balloons and the machine
- 20:38Speaker 3: that I use to bluey. I have a high grade
- 20:41Speaker 3: machine that helps me, you know, crank them out really quickly.
- 20:45Speaker 3: That overhead plus obviously, like you said, the time that
- 20:47Speaker 3: it takes me to actually create the design, and then
- 20:52Speaker 3: I actually have to hire out a lot of the
- 20:55Speaker 3: times for these hinder reveals because you need that safety
- 20:58Speaker 3: that you need that protection. So I needed a second
- 21:01Speaker 3: person to be that that second eye so if something
- 21:04Speaker 3: were to happen, they could douse it out the TNT
- 21:09Speaker 3: so I price it out with that extra team member.
- 21:12Speaker 3: If it's a really big gender reveal, I hire out
- 21:16Speaker 3: the marquee rentals or big backdrops so I can be
- 21:20Speaker 3: able to facilitate in the time that I'm given to
- 21:23Speaker 3: be able to create the backshop presentation for my clients.
- 21:28Speaker 2: First of all, you're passionate about this. People were listening
- 21:31Speaker 2: to this show. Why should they contact you a Yalla
- 21:35Speaker 2: Events Balloon Events.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Because I'm creating core memories for every event in your life,
- 21:42Speaker 3: and I believe your life journey doesn't go in order.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Sometimes we're having kids before we're married, we're getting we're
- 21:48Speaker 3: having kids before we get our successful career, and I'm
- 21:53Speaker 3: there for every type of those moments, whether it goes
- 21:55Speaker 3: in the way you planned or not. I think that's
- 21:59Speaker 3: the reason why people should reach out to me, because
- 22:01Speaker 3: I understand life doesn't always go into order, and we
- 22:04Speaker 3: want to be able to create these core memories in
- 22:06Speaker 3: our lives to remember.
- 22:08Speaker 2: So one of three years, Okay, what are you going
- 22:10Speaker 2: to be with Ayala balloons.
- 22:13Speaker 3: So I Yalla balloons is actually growing like really fast
- 22:17Speaker 3: and with it being us starting to niche and the
- 22:20Speaker 3: gender reveals. Gender reveals have started in Miami. It's very common.
- 22:24Speaker 3: They're like, you know, like the pus. I don't know
- 22:26Speaker 3: if you know about push gifts when you're pregnant. The
- 22:29Speaker 3: dad's supposed to give a push gift to their wife.
- 22:32Speaker 3: That's not a common thing. George is just now getting
- 22:35Speaker 3: into this idea of gender reveals. Everyone's really excited about it.
- 22:39Speaker 3: One of three years is going to be a common thing.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Everyone's going to want it, and it's just going to
- 22:42Speaker 3: expand in different unique ideas of not just the typical
- 22:47Speaker 3: blue and pink balloons with a simple backtop. It's going
- 22:50Speaker 3: to expand to even greater things. And I'm going to
- 22:53Speaker 3: be at the head of it. I'm sure.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Well, I'd love the fact that I'm just gonna bring
- 22:58Speaker 2: up now, you said your friend, you have a friend
- 23:01Speaker 2: that does this, right, Do you guys do joint events
- 23:04Speaker 2: or y'all just competitors?
- 23:06Speaker 3: Oh no, we're not competitors out at Oh yes, we
- 23:09Speaker 3: will definitely help each other out if I need her
- 23:11Speaker 3: or she needs me. We've done it.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, I'm not I'm asking just curiosity. How long
- 23:16Speaker 2: has she been doing it versus you?
- 23:18Speaker 1: Start, we've been doing it the.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Same amount of time because we took the class together.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Okay, okay, And so when you.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Three years, three years, three.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Years, does she have the same ambition you have or
- 23:30Speaker 2: you a little bit more aggressive in what you want
- 23:32Speaker 2: to do? Because I see a passion tied to your enthusiasm.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I believe I'm I'm a little bit more ambitious than
- 23:41Speaker 3: my friend she's. And she's kind of staying in the
- 23:44Speaker 3: lane of you know, the traditional baby showers and birthday party.
- 23:48Speaker 3: The course, she hasn't really nied like gender reveals.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Oh okay, I say what you're saying.
- 23:53Speaker 2: You're saying, okay, Risha, gender reveals, As we asked earlier,
- 23:57Speaker 2: that's your brain.
- 23:58Speaker 1: That's what you're trying to get it.
- 24:00Speaker 2: You're not trying to go over here and do a
- 24:02Speaker 2: birthday party or you can.
- 24:05Speaker 3: I'm not gonna take that away. I can definitely do it.
- 24:07Speaker 3: I will do it. I enjoy doing it. But there's
- 24:12Speaker 3: a place in my heart for the gender help.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Well, I'm gonna just tell you if that's what you doing,
- 24:16Speaker 2: let's do it. You know, like Chick fil A. Chick
- 24:19Speaker 2: fil A, they don't do burgers. They do chicken burgers. Okay,
- 24:23Speaker 2: this is what they do. Now, you know, you see
- 24:26Speaker 2: these other burger places. They trying to do chicken. Okay,
- 24:30Speaker 2: but you don't really think they can do chicken because
- 24:32Speaker 2: I think what they started out doing. My advice to
- 24:36Speaker 2: you is that ride this gender reveal. You become the
- 24:39Speaker 2: queen of gender reveals, you the best at it.
- 24:43Speaker 1: And like I said, I think that a lot.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Of people get nervous when they start, you know, saying, okay,
- 24:50Speaker 2: I might turn down money. No, you've already told me Rashan,
- 24:53Speaker 2: I do not accept people sending me photos and saying
- 24:56Speaker 2: replicate this.
- 24:57Speaker 1: So you already got standards.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I think if you ride your standards and you specifically
- 25:04Speaker 2: say this is what I do, and I do it
- 25:06Speaker 2: better than anybody else, then people will respect that and
- 25:10Speaker 2: come to you because you've already told everybody else who
- 25:14Speaker 2: I don't just go out there and do all this
- 25:16Speaker 2: other stuff and pool parties and all this stuff. I
- 25:19Speaker 2: am the best at gender reveals. What do you want?
- 25:22Speaker 2: Then you price it out accordingly and you win. If anything,
- 25:26Speaker 2: we come away from the interview is that I would
- 25:28Speaker 2: say you are the best at what you do.
- 25:31Speaker 1: That's gender reveals. Come to me. I'll make the best
- 25:34Speaker 1: balloon arrangements.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I'll give you the best experience whatever, whether it's going
- 25:39Speaker 2: to be a surprise or special effects.
- 25:42Speaker 1: That's what a y'alla balloon does for you.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Yep, that's exactly right.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I see, Well, this interview is over. You know what
- 25:50Speaker 1: you're gonna do. Give out your website one more time
- 25:54Speaker 1: before we wrap this up.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Are y'alla balloon events dot com.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Could we spell it are y'alla ya a y a.
- 26:01Speaker 3: L a balloon with two l's events p s.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming on the show.
- 26:08Speaker 2: And it's really really you have a amazing personality. And
- 26:11Speaker 2: if I had to give any advice, and that's what
- 26:13Speaker 2: the show is about. It's about mentorship, money making, conversation
- 26:16Speaker 2: about advice. A lot of people come on the show.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Just specialize and make sure that you and everybody understands
- 26:23Speaker 2: gender reveals, which was the very first question that I
- 26:26Speaker 2: had to ask you. You focus specifically on gender revealed events.
- 26:30Speaker 2: That's what you should do and that's and that's what
- 26:33Speaker 2: you need to put out to everybody.
- 26:35Speaker 1: And guess what, they will come okay, and they might
- 26:39Speaker 1: even fly you down to Miami, I hope.
- 26:41Speaker 2: So if they know that's what you do, I know
- 26:43Speaker 2: that I watch TV shows and I go and because
- 26:47Speaker 2: guess what, it costs a little bit more. But if
- 26:49Speaker 2: that's the best of what you do, you can be
- 26:51Speaker 2: flown to Chicago, you can be flown to DC. I
- 26:53Speaker 2: think what you should also say is that you will travel.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I think you should put that as on your on
- 26:59Speaker 2: your website as well, because they know that they have
- 27:02Speaker 2: to pay for certain fees in order for that to happen.
- 27:06Speaker 1: So I.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Really after hearing this interview, I know you used the
- 27:12Speaker 2: word located in Georgia, that's just your headquarters. I believe
- 27:16Speaker 2: that you should be able to travel anywhere in this
- 27:18Speaker 2: country to give a gender reveal experience, and that's how
- 27:22Speaker 2: you should promote yourself.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yes, I'm going to add that for sure.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Okay. Thank you for coming on Money Making Conversation Masterclass.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you for having me.
