  Man, things have been crazy lately, right?

  I'm saying everything from political down to the individual problem in people's lives

  and the pandemic worldwide, people are sick and hurting.

  There's a lot of sorrow.

  There's a lot of pain.

  There's a lot of tribulation.

  It seems like everybody's going through something.

  In the midst of those trials and difficulties, we can forget what God, what Paul really wrote

  by the leading of the Holy Spirit in Romans 8 where it says, God works together for the
• 0:28
  good all things for those who love the Lord and called according to His purpose.

  It's so easy to forget that, to love the Lord.

  Jesus said, if you love me, you'll follow my commands, to do the things that God would
• 0:40
  have us to do and just to love God and to be called according to His purpose, to serve
• 0:47
  Him, to reach out with the gospel.

  God's purpose is that everyone should know Him personally.

  I'm thinking of Peter in Matthew 16 where Peter says to God, to Jesus after he said

  that he was going to be crucified and resurrected, Peter said, no, far be it from you, Lord,

  that this thing should happen to you.

  And Jesus said back to Peter, get thee behind me, Satan, for your stumbling block to me.

  Your eyes are not on the interests of God but on the interests of men.

  In the midst of difficulty, how easy it is to get our eyes on our own interests and the

  outcome that we think we want, believe me, if it's happening today, as much as it may
• 1:22
  be hard for us to swallow, God can turn this out for our good, for those who love Him and
• 1:27
  are called according to His purpose.

  So let's do that.

  Get in your Bible, read, pray, study, meditate, worship, get in a local church, serve, love
• 1:37
  others, spread the gospel, love Him and be called according to His purpose and be blessed
• 1:43
  no matter what happens.
• 1:44
  Trust God.
• 1:45
  He can do that.
