- 1:43Speaker 1: to turn out. Then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your fab it h I sure will
- 2:03Speaker 1: a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve Varvey, I
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show, just trying to give God some back,
- 2:17Speaker 1: just some back of what even gave me, just a portion,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know. Just I'm just trying, man to to show
- 2:25Speaker 1: some type of gratitude for all his blessings. I'm just
- 2:30Speaker 1: trying to man, just just get it right sometimes, you
- 2:35Speaker 1: know what I mean. I mean, man, you just can't
- 2:37Speaker 1: do what you want to do and just live wrong
- 2:39Speaker 1: all the time. Man, you got it at one point
- 2:42Speaker 1: in time, Steve, come home. Man, come on, man, you
- 2:45Speaker 1: could do better. I know you can, you know saying
- 2:48Speaker 1: and you know what I had to do. I had
- 2:50Speaker 1: to stop saying I'm gonna try to do better, and
- 2:53Speaker 1: I just had to say, hey, man, I'm going to
- 2:55Speaker 1: do better. You know, trying it's just to put forth
- 2:59Speaker 1: an eff and then if it don't work, well okay.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But if you make up in your mind and I'm
- 3:03Speaker 1: going to do something, then trying isn't enough. It's getting
- 3:07Speaker 1: it done is the only thing that matters. Sin It's
- 3:10Speaker 1: the difference between doing and trying. We're gonna try to
- 3:13Speaker 1: win the game, or we're gonna go out here to
- 3:15Speaker 1: win the game. Now, trying to win the game means
- 3:18Speaker 1: that you could lose. But when you got in your
- 3:21Speaker 1: mind made up, most athletes will tell you that they
- 3:24Speaker 1: go out there with the full intent and purpose of
- 3:26Speaker 1: winning and winning. Only see they don't put the second
- 3:30Speaker 1: place finish on the cover Sports Illustrated. Second place don't
- 3:34Speaker 1: get you there. You got to win. And now take
- 3:37Speaker 1: it out of the scope of athletics, but keep it
- 3:39Speaker 1: in that type of analogy in life. Man, you just
- 3:43Speaker 1: want to you want to win in life, don't you.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I mean, at the end of the day, don't you
- 3:47Speaker 1: want to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated the
- 3:49Speaker 1: life Don't you want to be recognized for your hard work.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Don't you want, you know, to be recognized within the
- 3:57Speaker 1: bonus structure down at your job. Don't you want to
- 3:59Speaker 1: have your plaque up on the wall down at your job.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I mean most people do. Some people could care less.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Some people don't care about looking good or being their best.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And that's cool. But I ain't talking to them though.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I'm talking to you. I'm talking to those of you
- 4:12Speaker 1: who want to be the best you can be. You know,
- 4:15Speaker 1: people kill me when they're getting mad at people here
- 4:19Speaker 1: and he Brown knows and he hall up on an
- 4:21Speaker 1: employee of them all. Man, the dude doing his job
- 4:23Speaker 1: to the best of his ability, and he getting recognized
- 4:25Speaker 1: for it? What they got to do? It all that
- 4:27Speaker 1: you're talking about because you ain't up there. It's amazing, man,
- 4:30Speaker 1: how people describe other people's success. He's so lucky, lucky?
- 4:35Speaker 1: Hey man, don't they kind of get you a little
- 4:37Speaker 1: bit when people call you lucky? When let me tell
- 4:39Speaker 1: you what luck really is, y'all. Luck is when hard
- 4:42Speaker 1: work bumps up into opportunity. Some people call that luck.
- 4:47Speaker 1: But hold on, let's let's think about this. If you
- 4:50Speaker 1: wasn't working hard, an opportunity presented itself, what would you
- 4:54Speaker 1: call that? But see, when you've been working hard, an
- 4:57Speaker 1: opportunity presents itself and it bumps up into each other.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Now people want to call that luck. But hold up here,
- 5:02Speaker 1: go to part though today, ain't paying no attention to Yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 1: that opportunity came by, But if you had not been
- 5:07Speaker 1: working hard, and the hard work had not ran up
- 5:10Speaker 1: in the opportunity, what would you have? No, sir, it's
- 5:12Speaker 1: not luck, it's work. It is work, because as a
- 5:16Speaker 1: scripture that says, faith without works is dead. But my
- 5:21Speaker 1: mama was a Sunday school teacher. She taught me enough.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Though now I know different between right and wrong, just
- 5:26Speaker 1: like you do. You ain't gotta you know, excuse me
- 5:29Speaker 1: when people write a strawberry letter? Am I wrong for this?
- 5:32Speaker 1: You know? Good? Well, look at let's read your letter?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Are you wrong for this? You know? You're wrong? What
- 5:37Speaker 1: you don't need that's to be telling, you know? But
- 5:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this anyway. Well, see, go ahead, though,
- 5:41Speaker 1: do what you want to do. But you know what, y'all,
- 5:44Speaker 1: here's the best advice I can give you. And this
- 5:46Speaker 1: is what I really came to talk about this morning.
- 5:49Speaker 1: But I got sidetrack because I listened, get out of
- 5:53Speaker 1: your own way. So many of us are blocking our
- 5:57Speaker 1: own blessings. Were just in our own way. We are
- 6:01Speaker 1: in our own way. And one of the most dangerous
- 6:05Speaker 1: ways you can get in your way is to do
- 6:07Speaker 1: it your way, to get it figured your way, and
- 6:11Speaker 1: to lock in on your way and just the way
- 6:14Speaker 1: it's got to go. Do you know how many people
- 6:16Speaker 1: are blocking a blessing? Do you know how long I
- 6:19Speaker 1: blocked mine with that mindset? Right there? Look, because it's
- 6:24Speaker 1: the way you do it, do you think that makes
- 6:25Speaker 1: it the right way? You think jazz, because you'd have
- 6:28Speaker 1: thought on it long and hard, and that's what you
- 6:30Speaker 1: really want. Do you really think that your way is
- 6:33Speaker 1: the right way or could that be a better way? See?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Until I started listening to God and started paying attention
- 6:39Speaker 1: to his way, man, I was spending my wheels. Man,
- 6:43Speaker 1: I was out here so determined this is how I
- 6:45Speaker 1: was going to do it. But you know, I had
- 6:47Speaker 1: to learn how to get out of my own way
- 6:49Speaker 1: because just because I could do it my way didn't
- 6:52Speaker 1: mean it was the right way. I had to get
- 6:55Speaker 1: out of my own way. Just get out your way, man, Now,
- 7:01Speaker 1: what what does that mean? That means see set your goals.
- 7:08Speaker 1: That means have your dreams. That I'm saying, set your goals. Man,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I ain't saying don't set goals. Listen to me. Set
- 7:16Speaker 1: your goals. What is it you want to happen? What
- 7:18Speaker 1: is it you like to have? What is it you
- 7:20Speaker 1: like to be? What are you aspire to? Set your
- 7:24Speaker 1: goals and set your dreams. Now take your goals and
- 7:28Speaker 1: your dreams to God and ask God to show you how. Man,
- 7:34Speaker 1: you can save yourself a lot of pain. Listen to
- 7:38Speaker 1: somebody who did it his way for so long. And
- 7:42Speaker 1: when I finally got out of my way, out of
- 7:44Speaker 1: my own way. When you've heard old people say let
- 7:47Speaker 1: go and let God, you've heard them say that I didn't.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I didn't get it, but I got it. Now let
- 7:54Speaker 1: go and let God. And it's amazing little saying. Though
- 7:58Speaker 1: now you know you may not get it now. It
- 8:00Speaker 1: took me a bunch of years to get it too.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But when I took my goals and my dreams and
- 8:05Speaker 1: my vision to God and I said, God, this is
- 8:08Speaker 1: what I hope for, this is what I aspired to,
- 8:11Speaker 1: this is what I want to be, this is why
- 8:12Speaker 1: I would love to get to. Then I said, help me,
- 8:17Speaker 1: show me how point me in the right direction. Let
- 8:20Speaker 1: me follow your footsteps, guide me and give me a
- 8:24Speaker 1: spirit of discernment. Show me who wrong? Because I meet
- 8:27Speaker 1: people every day. Ain't up to no good with me
- 8:29Speaker 1: every single day? Oh man, Man, I can't believe I
- 8:34Speaker 1: run up into you. Man, the Lord told me something's
- 8:36Speaker 1: gonna happen to me today. Well, see, I talked to
- 8:39Speaker 1: him every day. He did not mention you to me.
- 8:42Speaker 1: He ain't said nothing to me. He didn't tell me
- 8:44Speaker 1: what was gonna happen in mind. Now, I don't mean
- 8:46Speaker 1: it can't happen because I'm open to it. So really, man,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm and and please know I'm listening to it as
- 8:53Speaker 1: well as I've ever listened before. But but get yourself together, though,
- 8:58Speaker 1: see no, your goals and your dreams, and then let
- 9:00Speaker 1: God show you how to do it. He'll do it.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You know. It's so important everybody, that you get focused,
- 9:06Speaker 1: that you aim for something, that you dream of something,
- 9:10Speaker 1: that you aspire to something. But it's the most the
- 9:13Speaker 1: best thing you can do. After you do all that, Man,
- 9:15Speaker 1: get God involved in it. Man, talk to him. I mean,
- 9:19Speaker 1: why would you not what you got to lose? You
- 9:21Speaker 1: ain't got to go down there and make no big
- 9:23Speaker 1: scene and run laps around the church and run up
- 9:26Speaker 1: there and throw yourself on the altar and scream and
- 9:28Speaker 1: flip over and throw money in the air. You ain't
- 9:30Speaker 1: got to do that. This you and God, man, This
- 9:33Speaker 1: you and God. You know you got to serve and
- 9:35Speaker 1: praise him the way you do it. You gotta let
- 9:38Speaker 1: nobody else tell you highs done. It's a personal relationship.
- 9:41Speaker 1: People kill me if you don't do it this way.
- 9:43Speaker 1: If you don't come here to this church and you
- 9:44Speaker 1: don't run around in this circle and you don't get
- 9:46Speaker 1: flipped in the air, you don't, Hey, man, you better
- 9:49Speaker 1: go have a relationship with God. See what that's about.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You understand? Nobody throw you off with all that? All right,
- 9:54Speaker 1: all right, y'all talk to him. He loved to hear
- 9:55Speaker 1: from you. Today. You're listening show, ladies and gentlemen, let
- 10:03Speaker 1: me have it. Your undivided attention is what's needed. It's
- 10:07Speaker 1: required to get through this type of show because the
- 10:10Speaker 1: ignorance is done at a at a level where it's
- 10:14Speaker 1: it borderlines almost intelligence, and then it just falls off suddenly,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and then it snatches you back up and The reason
- 10:24Speaker 1: we do that is because we have Shirley Strawberry and
- 10:28Speaker 1: Caller for Real that keeps snatching it back up on
- 10:32Speaker 1: the intellectual level of well spoken, of educated and things
- 10:36Speaker 1: of that. And then we have four guys who are
- 10:40Speaker 1: constantly trying to drive the boat over the cliff, drive
- 10:44Speaker 1: the bus over the cliff, and then they snatch the
- 10:47Speaker 1: wheel back and keep it from going on, Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:50Speaker 1: One of the wheel snatchers, Shirley Strawberry, Thank God, good
- 10:56Speaker 1: morning wheel snatcher number two. All up the for Real
- 11:04Speaker 1: so happy to snatch that wheel now. These next intros
- 11:08Speaker 1: are people who are not well balanced, who refuse to
- 11:14Speaker 1: do right. And I'm constantly trying to get that bus
- 11:18Speaker 1: over the cliff so we can enjoy the uncontrollable fall
- 11:24Speaker 1: and tumble. Yeah, the thrill of it for us too much.
- 11:29Speaker 1: And we like going down the hill in the van
- 11:32Speaker 1: with no seatbelts on. We want to get slung all round,
- 11:36Speaker 1: no break, Ladies and gentlemen, Junior No. Thirty two, thirty two.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I see right there for the bus. He's trying to
- 11:48Speaker 1: take the butt Javid and Brown. I don't want to die,
- 11:51Speaker 1: but I just want to see what it's feel like
- 11:53Speaker 1: to go over the cliff. I don't want us to die,
- 11:58Speaker 1: feel like we just I just don't what I want. Yeah,
- 12:02Speaker 1: and the food you throw it in forth and let
- 12:08Speaker 1: it fly, yea, and throw the brick out. What movie
- 12:13Speaker 1: was that when they drilled over the cliff? What movie
- 12:15Speaker 1: was Louise? Yes, yes, yes, yeah, but we didn't see it. Yes, yes,
- 12:24Speaker 1: thank you. We don't want that. No, we want talk
- 12:28Speaker 1: about had all the police back then? They did? Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 1: I got a jumpsuit and my whole time in prison,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I'm telling them about the time we was driving off
- 12:42Speaker 1: the cliff. But I'm not gonna drive. You're gonna be saved. Yeah,
- 12:46Speaker 1: you're gonna get arrested though in surrender. I'm a living,
- 12:57Speaker 1: well spoken storytelling anyway. Well, it's Friday, is how we're
- 13:08Speaker 1: starting it off. And I am in my emmy and
- 13:12Speaker 1: let me tell you so do it, boy, go do it.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Let me just tell y'all this. I am so grateful
- 13:20Speaker 1: that God has changed me. What do you mean so
- 13:24Speaker 1: you got to say this is not where you want
- 13:27Speaker 1: to come. You are heaven bound? Sorry? Coming up with
- 13:33Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the Hour Inside something funny Americans

- 18:26Speaker 1: the order. He said, no, you don't. He reached in
- 18:29Speaker 1: his pocket and gave this woman a thousand dollars and said, now, listen,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I want you to come back over here. She was
- 18:36Speaker 1: black too. She sipped, he's that. I want you to

- 19:20Speaker 1: He gave her a thousand dollars. She spun on the dime.
- 19:25Speaker 1: She didn't gonna talk to no supervisor or nothing. She
- 19:28Speaker 1: walked four sweets down, picked up day dish. They came
- 19:37Speaker 1: back with a black dude. It said, sir, here we are.
- 19:42Speaker 1: He told her she can't be told the shelf move
- 19:44Speaker 1: that out. He don't want that take that down. Come on,
- 19:48Speaker 1: sister man. I was so hard. So it was old
- 19:54Speaker 1: and I saw the sister hall, I said, sweet, let
- 19:57Speaker 1: me ask. So, I said, did you count the money
- 20:01Speaker 1: when he gave it to him? She said no, he
- 20:03Speaker 1: rolled it up, and she said, but it was tight.
- 20:04Speaker 1: I just was on hundreds. I'm gone, she said. I
- 20:09Speaker 1: got down there and saw that thousand dollars. She said,

- 24:18Speaker 1: he's telling me to do this. These three are supposed
- 24:21Speaker 1: to be let go by the end of the day.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I mean, I gotta do it. But it looks like
- 24:26Speaker 1: the severances nobody can live off of this for even
- 24:29Speaker 1: three freaking months. I already know that this is this
- 24:32Speaker 1: is really tough. Oh all right, so look, bring me
- 24:37Speaker 1: everybody's stuff. Let me at least after lunch. They all
- 24:40Speaker 1: come in here and pick up their things. That's all
- 24:42Speaker 1: I think. Okay, is this the right button here? Okay, hello,
- 24:49Speaker 1: it's not the right button. We might have to be

- 30:29Speaker 1: game five five. I'm putting five fifty on that, Yeah,

- 31:42Speaker 1: you try to slide it over there by whoever is
- 31:45Speaker 1: closest to. When it's yo, you'd be like they are
- 31:49Speaker 1: pointing real hard. I mean, when it's your party. But like,
- 31:53Speaker 1: that's a lot of brown gas. What is that? You head?

- 32:48Speaker 1: She out there in the car, and I just wanted
- 32:49Speaker 1: to let y'all know she's sitting out there in the car.
- 32:51Speaker 1: So she hold on, but don't don't she gonna be
- 32:55Speaker 1: here for halftime. She gonna she just want to sit
- 32:58Speaker 1: in the car. She ain't coming in, but she gonna
- 33:00Speaker 1: see the halftime people come through the front. She won't.
- 33:03Speaker 1: She ain't gonna say that. She's just sitting in the car.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Hell no, I can't believe this. Man. Yeah, Steve cannot
- 33:12Speaker 1: get him to come to the back. Man, can they
- 33:14Speaker 1: come through the back of Noble? Okay, some some black
- 33:29Speaker 1: guy don't go to his all white friends super Bowl party.

- 34:43Speaker 1: sports than she do. But she gonna dust his ASDs.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I mean everybody rushed in front of everybody. Yeah, fun
- 34:56Speaker 1: of everybody. Won't you just leave her alone? You all

- 35:13Speaker 1: out bootleg. She made you look stupid. Okay, all right,
- 35:27Speaker 1: last one, somebody gonna get straight cussed out for double
- 35:29Speaker 1: dipping in the blue chee. Right, Oh my god boy,
- 35:36Speaker 1: if you don't get your nash ass out of here.
- 35:40Speaker 1: All right, Jack, thank you as always. Coming over twenty
- 35:43Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we'll talk more about Miami and
- 35:46Speaker 1: the big game coming up this Sunday. Right after this,
- 35:49Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, everybody's really excited
- 35:55Speaker 1: to see Jennifer Lopez and Shakira perform at the PEPSI
- 35:59Speaker 1: Super Bowl fifty four half time show. Perfect pairing, considering Miami,
- 36:04Speaker 1: Aka is called the capital of Latin America, and you
- 36:08Speaker 1: know we all love us in Miami. Seve is there
- 36:10Speaker 1: right now? Uh, Steven got to ask you what's your
- 36:12Speaker 1: favorite memory about the city of Miami. What you what
- 36:22Speaker 1: you can't do? That's wrong? Can say that on that
- 36:25Speaker 1: that's really my favorite real and you I'm just going
- 36:39Speaker 1: to share my favorite memory of my stand. Really, ain't
- 36:45Speaker 1: got nothing to do with the super Bowl. Super Bowl,
- 36:50Speaker 1: there's nothing you can say. Ain't got it's not nothing
- 36:54Speaker 1: to say about my heavy I'm no goodness. Heal, well,
- 37:03Speaker 1: you didn't just ask me, man, matter of fact, I
- 37:14Speaker 1: have no memories out he said, what what? I wasn't
- 37:24Speaker 1: trying to shock you anything? That did it? Right there?
- 37:31Speaker 1: This was he hangs. The comedy was down hill and
- 37:36Speaker 1: and comedy was never mentioned nothing. I'm not even fit
- 37:48Speaker 1: played with that question that listen. Yeah, yeah, that's the
- 37:58Speaker 1: theme song boy Field College. What you're doing you hit
- 38:08Speaker 1: that little dupe in the back. Yeah, that's what I was.
- 38:15Speaker 1: I was drill. I was drilled in Miami. Oh, this
- 38:23Speaker 1: was the jam where James almost man. Yeah, we'll just
- 38:34Speaker 1: play this song so Steve can't tell us anything. That
- 38:40Speaker 1: my favorite memory in Miami right there, that's coming up
- 38:49Speaker 1: thirty minutes after the hour. Steve was on first take
- 38:53Speaker 1: with Stephen A. Smith yesterday in Miami. We'll talk about
- 38:55Speaker 1: that right after this. You're listening, all right, So Steve,
- 39:01Speaker 1: yesterday you were on first take in Miami with Stephen A. Smith. Uh,
- 39:07Speaker 1: he crushed your dreams when you asked him when you
- 39:10Speaker 1: were uh, when your beloved Cleveland Browns will be going
- 39:14Speaker 1: to the super Bowl. Take a listen to this from Cleveland.
- 39:17Speaker 1: We've never been to the super Bowl. They had Lebron.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Lebron saved us Man Championship. We've never won anything, and
- 39:26Speaker 1: I'm hanging in there been god women. In two years
- 39:29Speaker 1: we could be in a super Bowl. We clean house,
- 39:31Speaker 1: Do we have a chance? And no, where in hell
- 39:33Speaker 1: you're going to super Bowl two years? Hey? You know
- 39:35Speaker 1: where Steven? Hey, I an't got to come on this
- 39:39Speaker 1: damn show. You can't give your boy no hope in
- 39:43Speaker 1: two years? Two years? That's too early, just too that
- 39:46Speaker 1: too early, that's too early. Four. They shouldn't have crowned
- 39:55Speaker 1: he did. Yeah, but well, well listen, the kitchens was
- 39:58Speaker 1: a disaster. It's the worst version of what he could
- 40:00Speaker 1: have been. But I told you he's gonna be and that. Nevertheless,
- 40:03Speaker 1: the Cleveland Browns now have rehired the brains and it's
- 40:09Speaker 1: not like they don't have talent on the squad. In
- 40:11Speaker 1: two years, you could easily be can coming here that
- 40:13Speaker 1: you cannot have a quarterback that you're relying upon come
- 40:16Speaker 1: off of lake Erie. That's why you take Barkley first.
- 40:21Speaker 1: That's that wind off lake Erie. You can't be throwing
- 40:23Speaker 1: up Cleveland expected success, but we josh out as a
- 40:27Speaker 1: big country boy. But he also runs with the football
- 40:30Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield standard in the pocket he got. Do you
- 40:32Speaker 1: realize that Baker Mayfield got more commercials were progressive than victories.
- 40:37Speaker 1: We struggling. I love o'delle, but he won't to wear
- 40:41Speaker 1: watches in the game. That's a problem. That's a problem.
- 40:45Speaker 1: And we got the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
- 40:47Speaker 1: We suck. Why I'm just trying to hip. I was
- 40:54Speaker 1: trying to hype myself, but my city. We gotta get
- 40:57Speaker 1: the every day there's a new chance. They don't care about.
- 41:00Speaker 1: This is only the hit. Steve Harvey, I know, don't
- 41:03Speaker 1: read my motivational speech back to meet Max. You need
- 41:06Speaker 1: it right now. What I really need is a is
- 41:09Speaker 1: a team that's made of just dogs. We need some
- 41:13Speaker 1: more dogs, man. I really enjoy getting it by getting
- 41:24Speaker 1: it for four years. Yeah, so if it's four years,
- 41:30Speaker 1: we really you really don't need to bring Cleveland up
- 41:32Speaker 1: on this job, no move because you gotta wait for
- 41:34Speaker 1: what is it? This is twenty twenty four is when
- 41:38Speaker 1: you can talk about Cleveland again. Let me ask you
- 41:42Speaker 1: a question. And you think we should not going didn't
- 41:48Speaker 1: I coached the damn general manager. We didn't gave the
- 41:51Speaker 1: head coach who lost that fire. He got promoted. We
- 41:56Speaker 1: only think getting rid of him now, the GM and
- 42:01Speaker 1: the coat and he called the place. Now he gonna
- 42:05Speaker 1: hire more people that think like him. Yeah right, I
- 42:12Speaker 1: just can. Okay, let me ask the question. Let me
- 42:15Speaker 1: ask you, Steve, you're big. Did you really think Baker
- 42:18Speaker 1: man if it would do better than what he did
- 42:20Speaker 1: or you expected him to do exactly what it is.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I hope he would be great. He's not not yet.
- 42:29Speaker 1: It's got a great we know that. Would you say
- 42:36Speaker 1: I love his name. I always said he got a
- 42:38Speaker 1: great name. He got a name like something's happening. You know,
- 42:42Speaker 1: I'm not going to announce it. Once you were hearing
- 42:44Speaker 1: like Baker Mayfield, I see him blank, just kept it
- 42:51Speaker 1: one hundred. He couldn't help it, Ji my head junior. Yes,
- 42:58Speaker 1: you're not gonna do that to me. Okay, Well, let
- 43:02Speaker 1: me ask you this, Steve. When they do go, we'll
- 43:05Speaker 1: just be positive and say when they do go to
- 43:07Speaker 1: the super and then you're not gonna want to be
- 43:09Speaker 1: on this radio show. I had a dream. I had
- 43:12Speaker 1: a dreamed over that Tom Brady left New England. Wow,
- 43:20Speaker 1: came to Cleveland. Hull dream it's not gonna happen. Huh,
- 43:27Speaker 1: and came to Cleveland and resurrected the Browns in one season.
- 43:32Speaker 1: And then do you need to wake your ass up?
- 43:37Speaker 1: Don't forget Steve Harvey will host the NFL Honors UH
- 43:42Speaker 1: tomorrow Saturday night on eight pm at eight pm Eastern

- 45:03Speaker 1: super Bowl party? Man? I mean, i mean everybody knows
- 45:06Speaker 1: about it. I mean, you know, it's it's it's it's
- 45:07Speaker 1: pretty big. Every year you got you know, I mean
- 45:10Speaker 1: it's it's it's cars everywhere. I mean, you guys be
- 45:13Speaker 1: me rocking for all through the knife on super Bowl Night.
- 45:16Speaker 1: So I'm calling to see if you are you throwing
- 45:19Speaker 1: it this year? Um? Yes, and you I do it
- 45:22Speaker 1: every year, man, I do it every year. All the
- 45:24Speaker 1: neighbors come over, everybody comes over. We have a good time.
- 45:27Speaker 1: So yeah, we're gonna be doing it again this year.
- 45:29Speaker 1: While what's up? Okay? So here here what I want
- 45:31Speaker 1: to tell you, man, Every year your party too loud,
- 45:36Speaker 1: and here's people parking all in front of other people's houses.
- 45:40Speaker 1: You know, I'm three streets old. It's people parking in
- 45:43Speaker 1: my driveway to get to your house. And to be
- 45:45Speaker 1: honest with you, is too loud. And I'm just telling
- 45:48Speaker 1: you this year if that is loud this year, I'm
- 45:51Speaker 1: calling the police this year. Man, this is what you
- 45:53Speaker 1: really called me for. You really called me to threaten me,
- 45:56Speaker 1: to tell me you're gonna call the police shut down
- 45:58Speaker 1: my party. Bro. Yeah, I mean kind of too loud. Man,
- 46:02Speaker 1: you've met everybody, and everybody in the neighborhood come to
- 46:05Speaker 1: my party. Man, ain't know everybody in the neighborhood don't
- 46:08Speaker 1: come because I damn sh ain't been there. That's because
- 46:10Speaker 1: you ain't get an invite, because you hater. That's why
- 46:15Speaker 1: you ain't getting no invite. You I said, you're a hater.
- 46:19Speaker 1: That's why I'm not. No, I ain't no hater. I'm
- 46:21Speaker 1: just telling you. Your stuff is out of control. Man.
- 46:24Speaker 1: You gotta tone it. You gotta good control. Of your party.
- 46:26Speaker 1: You don't have control of it. Man, you're telling me
- 46:29Speaker 1: how to control my control your mouth. Start it. Let's
- 46:32Speaker 1: start right there. All right, you ain't calling no guy.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Believe you ain't doing none of that. We ain't doing.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, hold on, you ain't telling me what I'm
- 46:40Speaker 1: not gonna do. All right, I just you do one?
- 46:42Speaker 1: You you do want to on the loud last party,
- 46:45Speaker 1: You the one got people parking and people driveway And yeah,
- 46:48Speaker 1: that's right. If it happens this year, I'm calling the police.
- 46:51Speaker 1: You ain't calling nobody. You ain't calling that every person.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you that right now. Okay, So how
- 46:57Speaker 1: are you fenn stop me? How are you fenna stop
- 46:59Speaker 1: me from make so I got peace and on my
- 47:02Speaker 1: street at my house. I'm gonna stop you with a
- 47:04Speaker 1: size twelve right up, y'all. Okay, okay, I'm gonna tell you.
- 47:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you again, control your party, get the
- 47:12Speaker 1: noise level where it ain't disturbing everybody in the neighborhood,
- 47:15Speaker 1: and stop people from parking in people's driveway. And I'm
- 47:19Speaker 1: gonna tell you again, I'm about to have a party
- 47:22Speaker 1: with my size twelve right up in your Hey, dude,
- 47:27Speaker 1: it is what it is. It is again, look for
- 47:29Speaker 1: the police to be at your party. I look for
- 47:33Speaker 1: the people to look for the police to be at
- 47:35Speaker 1: your damn party because evidently you don't respect your neighbors.
- 47:38Speaker 1: It's what it is. You know, you know what I
- 47:39Speaker 1: do respect my neighbors because all the neighbors in the
- 47:41Speaker 1: neighborhood come except for you, because we already know you're
- 47:45Speaker 1: on y'ar on that list. Yet I hated that's the
- 47:47Speaker 1: neighbor that'd be calling toe trucks and you know, complaining
- 47:50Speaker 1: about leaves and people yard and that you I know
- 47:54Speaker 1: exactly who you are. That's why you never got to
- 47:56Speaker 1: invite to the party because you do not even know me. Dude,
- 48:00Speaker 1: you use the idea who I am use a buster use? Okay,
- 48:06Speaker 1: but I'm gonna be the buster that's calling po post
- 48:08Speaker 1: to be over there on suddenly listen to snitch snitching,
- 48:13Speaker 1: that's an that's not snitching. No, it's controlling the atmosphere
- 48:21Speaker 1: and stopping it from being out of control. You let
- 48:26Speaker 1: me ask you something, so so you think people that's
- 48:28Speaker 1: going to your party ought to be able to park
- 48:30Speaker 1: in my driveway? Listen, man, I'm gonna be real with you.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I'm sorry if anybody man parked in your driveway, but
- 48:36Speaker 1: it ain't nothing for you to just knock on the
- 48:38Speaker 1: door and say, hey, excuse me. You know I'm trying
- 48:40Speaker 1: to get out, you know whatever. Whatever, I make sure
- 48:43Speaker 1: I put it on on the flyers that we don't
- 48:45Speaker 1: want people blocking driveways. But you know, obviously it happened,
- 48:48Speaker 1: and I apologize for that. But that's no reason for
- 48:51Speaker 1: you to be going on extra crazy and going to
- 48:53Speaker 1: extra mount talking months I'm calling the police. You what
- 48:56Speaker 1: are you're calling nobody? Man? Shut up? That right there
- 48:59Speaker 1: is what's wrong with black people today. Instead of coming
- 49:02Speaker 1: to me like a man, you're coming to me like
- 49:04Speaker 1: a coward, instead of coming to me like a man
- 49:06Speaker 1: and saying listen now, because the first thing you're talking about, oh,
- 49:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna call the police, and then when the police
- 49:13Speaker 1: come and beat your black pass up, you're gonna be
- 49:15Speaker 1: on the other line complaining, talking about to be you
- 49:19Speaker 1: want to be sure and doing this and that. Don't
- 49:21Speaker 1: you know that's how you get sucked up. Man. So
- 49:24Speaker 1: it's black people. We gotta learn how to stick together
- 49:27Speaker 1: and come together. If you want to come to the party.
- 49:29Speaker 1: It sounds like you're a silent hater on the loaf
- 49:31Speaker 1: for real, like you really want to come to the party,
- 49:33Speaker 1: but because you're the only person in the neighborhood that
- 49:35Speaker 1: hasn't been invited. Now you're talking about calling the police.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I know exactly who you are. Who am I You
- 49:42Speaker 1: that dude that live up two three streets over and
- 49:45Speaker 1: you drive that that red pickup truck with the flannel
- 49:48Speaker 1: shirts and all of that. You're the only person in
- 49:50Speaker 1: the hood driving a red pickup truck and flannel. It's
- 49:53Speaker 1: wrong with you, man, That's why you ain't getting no invite.
- 49:55Speaker 1: And on top of that, all those dogs you got
- 49:58Speaker 1: running around in your backyard, you need to clean them up.
- 50:00Speaker 1: They'd be back there and everything, and then the other
- 50:03Speaker 1: neighbors can't even have barbecues because your big, rusty ass
- 50:06Speaker 1: dogs running around. You got a nerve to be talking
- 50:09Speaker 1: about you calling the police when we need to be
- 50:11Speaker 1: calling the city on you. All that trash and you
- 50:14Speaker 1: got in front of your house. Man, get out of here.
- 50:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna call the cops on you right now if
- 50:18Speaker 1: you ain't because you're wearing a flannel shirts with red
- 50:21Speaker 1: pickup truck and the dogs running around with calling the
- 50:23Speaker 1: front yard and the back guard him all over the place.
- 50:26Speaker 1: Who are you that tell me? Say no more. I'm
- 50:29Speaker 1: gonna tell you who I am. This is nephew Tommy
- 50:32Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked
- 50:36Speaker 1: by your next dough neighbor, Brian. That's who I am.
- 50:45Speaker 1: You know what? You know what? You know what? Now
- 50:51Speaker 1: I'm definitely gonna kick you in his shot. Man. You
- 50:57Speaker 1: had me going, Man, I hold when I run this prank.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I hope the man with the red pickup truck and
- 51:03Speaker 1: in the flower shirt ain't listening to it. All right, man,
- 51:10Speaker 1: I got one more thing. You gotta tell me what's
- 51:12Speaker 1: the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in
- 51:15Speaker 1: the land. Man, you already know it's the Steve Harvey
- 51:19Speaker 1: Morning Show. Bro, Now you have it. You played too much.
- 51:28Speaker 1: I'm telling you that tw tw Twinji. But what hey,
- 51:38Speaker 1: I ain't been invited, right you gonna call up. I
- 51:41Speaker 1: know exactly who you are. You wanted to red Trump
- 51:43Speaker 1: with him afrigerating the stuff on your front your nasty

- 53:52Speaker 1: for you. Buggle up, hold on tight, We got it
- 53:55Speaker 1: for you here. It is Strawberry letter. Subject, There's no
- 53:59Speaker 1: way to this mess. Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been kicked
- 54:03Speaker 1: out of my church and I need some advice. I
- 54:06Speaker 1: attended a very messy church, and if you did not
- 54:09Speaker 1: do the things the way the pastor thought you should,
- 54:12Speaker 1: he would call you out. I have had a few
- 54:14Speaker 1: run ins with him over stuff I post on my
- 54:16Speaker 1: personal Facebook page, and I told him I could post
- 54:19Speaker 1: what I want on my Facebook page and it has
- 54:21Speaker 1: nothing to do with him or the church. I'm sure
- 54:25Speaker 1: the real problem was the fact that I was sleeping
- 54:28Speaker 1: with one of the deacons. But the pastor couldn't say
- 54:31Speaker 1: anything because everybody knew he was having an affair. So
- 54:35Speaker 1: the pastor and I had words, and I cursed him out,
- 54:38Speaker 1: and he excommunicated me. I did not care, and I
- 54:43Speaker 1: joined a new church, but I was still messing with
- 54:45Speaker 1: the deacon at my old church. Then I found out
- 54:48Speaker 1: the deacon was messing with two more ladies that I
- 54:51Speaker 1: was real cool with that church. All of us found
- 54:54Speaker 1: out about each other, and we were mad. I told
- 54:57Speaker 1: them that I would handle the deacon. That's just what
- 55:01Speaker 1: I did. I went through my phone and found several
- 55:04Speaker 1: pictures of the deacon's male parts and texted the pictures
- 55:08Speaker 1: to the pastor and the other deacons. I waited, all um.
- 55:16Speaker 1: I waited a few days, and I called the pastor
- 55:18Speaker 1: to see if the deacon was going to be excommunicated
- 55:21Speaker 1: like I was. He told me that I was the problem,
- 55:24Speaker 1: not the deacon. Because of that, I marched right back
- 55:28Speaker 1: up to my old church this past Sunday, and I
- 55:31Speaker 1: dared the pastor to say anything to me. The horash
- 55:34Speaker 1: deacon has found a new church, but all of the
- 55:37Speaker 1: other deacons were looking all scared when they saw me.
- 55:40Speaker 1: After services. Pastor said he would have me arrested if
- 55:43Speaker 1: I came back. Do you think he has the right
- 55:46Speaker 1: to do that. I should be able to worship wherever
- 55:49Speaker 1: I want to, and this is my church home, no
- 55:53Speaker 1: matter how messy it is. What should I do? You want?
- 55:58Speaker 1: You want advice from us? From us? You want you
- 56:03Speaker 1: want advice? What can we tell you? How can we
- 56:06Speaker 1: advise you? You don't even listen to your pastor. You
- 56:09Speaker 1: don't even listen to him in your own home church.
- 56:12Speaker 1: As you put it, I can't believe you. I mean you,
- 56:16Speaker 1: you're a pastor and the deacon. You're all just just
- 56:19Speaker 1: a mess that church too. Uh, it is crazy. If
- 56:25Speaker 1: you're a member of a church, you should at least
- 56:28Speaker 1: and you go regularly, you call that at your church home.
- 56:31Speaker 1: You should at least be getting something out of it,
- 56:34Speaker 1: some kind of Jesus something out of something. Uh. You're
- 56:40Speaker 1: you You sound like you know you're proud and not
- 56:44Speaker 1: the least bit of shame that you're sleeping with a
- 56:46Speaker 1: deacon in the church, or that you cursed out the
- 56:48Speaker 1: pastor of the church, or that you texted the deacon's
- 56:51Speaker 1: naked pictures to the pastor and the other deacons. This
- 56:56Speaker 1: what are you doing? What are you doing? You need?
- 57:02Speaker 1: What would you say, Tommy, that's not godly they No,
- 57:06Speaker 1: absolutely not, absolutely not. I mean you need to stop. Seriously,
- 57:13Speaker 1: you need to stop. You need to get yourself together. Okay,
- 57:16Speaker 1: you really need Jesus, You absolutely need Jesus. You don't
- 57:23Speaker 1: need to go to any more churches if it's not
- 57:26Speaker 1: helping you. Okay, Uh, you know, I gotta tell you,
- 57:31Speaker 1: like I said, get yourself together. Come on, sister, repent,
- 57:34Speaker 1: ask for forgiveness for what all the stuff you have
- 57:37Speaker 1: done before you get kicked out of this new church.
- 57:40Speaker 1: Because if you can, you know, if you keep doing
- 57:43Speaker 1: the same stuff, you're gonna kicked out until you get it.
- 57:46Speaker 1: And yes, the pastor can ask you not to post
- 57:49Speaker 1: certain things on your Facebook page if you know, if
- 57:52Speaker 1: they're not no matter what they are, but if they
- 57:55Speaker 1: don't reflect who you should be as a Christian. All right,
- 57:58Speaker 1: you're I agree technically with what you said, and I
- 58:07Speaker 1: think you were correct in what you were saying if
- 58:10Speaker 1: we were talking about a real situation. But this ain't real.
- 58:16Speaker 1: There is no way to bless this mess. The whole
- 58:20Speaker 1: letter screams of what the hell? Then, Stephen Sherlon, I've
- 58:27Speaker 1: been kicked out of my church and I need some
- 58:29Speaker 1: advice right there, when a person is kicked out of
- 58:33Speaker 1: a church, you think, oh my god, what did she do? Well?
- 58:38Speaker 1: Then she said it, I attend a very messy church,
- 58:42Speaker 1: and if you don't do things a way to the past,
- 58:44Speaker 1: I thought you should here call you out. So you're
- 58:46Speaker 1: sitting up there, it's Sunday. You don't got dressed, you
- 58:49Speaker 1: don't come down now. I want to bring to your attention,
- 58:55Speaker 1: sister parnell Or who is disruptive fos in our congregation
- 59:03Speaker 1: want so you have some running ends with him. You've
- 59:08Speaker 1: had running ends with your pastor over some stuff I
- 59:14Speaker 1: post on my personal Facebook page. How he knows. I
- 59:21Speaker 1: told him I can post what I want on my page.
- 59:24Speaker 1: It ain't got nothing to do with him or the church.
- 59:27Speaker 1: And then you said, I'm sure that the real problem
- 59:30Speaker 1: is it's the fact that I'm sleeping one of the deacons.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Because it's crazy. Wait a minute, you diagnose the problem
- 59:41Speaker 1: with your Facebook page. As I got so much to
- 59:46Speaker 1: saying this letter. This whole thing is a mess, and
- 59:49Speaker 1: I have a solution for it. All right, Steve, We'll
- 59:51Speaker 1: hang on. We'll be back with part two of your
- 59:53Speaker 1: response at twenty three minutes after the hour, subject of
- 59:57Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter. There's no way to bless this matter,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: and we'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters subject.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: There's no way to bless this message. This lady is
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: a member of a messy church here in the past
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: and had some running in is old stuff she posted,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: he told she told him, I post what I want
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: on my page. Ain't got But then she diagnosed that
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: the reason that they having the real problem with hers
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: because she's sleeping one of the deacons. But then she said,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: but the pastor couldn't say anything to you about you
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: sleeping with the deacon because everybody knows that he's having
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: an affair. So the pastor and I had words. Okay,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: now they've had several run ins about the postings. Right
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: then she turned around and said, the pastor and I
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: had words, and I cust him out. Wow, it really
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: cuss your pastor out. But he's pastor that's having the
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: affair that fronts people out in church. So as he leads,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: y'all followed. So see, since he fronts people in church,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: y'all ain't got no problem fronting him. People followed like
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: they led. I custed him out. He excommunicated me. I
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: ain't care. I joined the new church. I ain't care, girl,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: I wouldn't got a new church. But I was still
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: messing with the deacon at my old church. Then she
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: found out that the deacon was messing with two more
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: ladies that she was cool with it at the church,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: and all y'all found out about each other were man.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: So didn't you, being the ring leader, had helfer? You said?
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: I told, yeah, helper, when you messing your head, helfer,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I find I told them I would handle the deacon,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: and that's just what I did. I went through my
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: phone found several pictures or the deacons male parts. Wait
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: a minute, what kind deacon is this? What church you
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: go to? You found some pictures of male parts and
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: text the pictures to the pastor and the other deacons. Now,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: hold on, let me tell you something. Just being a man,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: if you get a message from a woman, you go, okay,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: oh right, what's up and it says, you know, download
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: or something like that or images, and you pop it
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: up and a man thing is on. Now, oh my
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: good lord, But we really don't know how to respond
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: in either way, the happy position or the sad position.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: We don't know what to say, but we do recognize
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: right away that it is not us. We're very familiar
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: to us. I waited a few days and I called
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: the pastor to see if the deacon was gonna be
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: excommunicated like I was. So you wan't the old pastor
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: that's having the affair. There's boys with his deacon board
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: that you just sent a picture of your deacon lover's
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: male parts to the pastor and the other deacons, and
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: then you called see if he gonna get excommunicated like
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: I would. He told me that I was the problem. God,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: we gotta got he is going up. You're the problem,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: not the deacon. Where is Jesus did? She said that,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: I'm marched right back up to my old church. Let's
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: do this in this letter. Stop saying church. Yeah, this
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: is not a church. This is a gathering spot that
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: has a cross hanging up in it somewhere. This is
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: not a church. This is a gathering spot that has
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: a cross hanging in it somewhere. This is not a church.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: This is not the Lord's house. The Lord ain't in
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: that shell. Is absolutely right, well, ain't o Jesus that
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: you ain't mentioning the word. He a good preacher, he
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: feeds us. He'll do nothing. So you went back up
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to my old church and dad the pastor to say
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: anything to me saying this. The horrish deacons, the whole
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: whole deacon he has found a new church. But all
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: the other decons was looking all scared when they saw me.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: On here she come on, she tripped. After service. Pastor
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: said he would have me arrested if I came back
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: here all this and he'll go of course, she said,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: do you think he has the right to do that?
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: A minute? Man, you're so messy you don't even worry
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: about the mess Do you think he has the right
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: to do that? Have you arrested? I should be then
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: then then can he do that? I should be able
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: to worship wherever I want to worship. Where have y'all
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: worshiped in this entire letter? Unless the name of this
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: church is Soldom and Gomorral this is city. Yeah, all right? Listen,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter and Steve Harvey
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: FM on Instagram and Facebook. Okay, don't forget to check
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: out the Strawberry letter on podcast the podcast on demand
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: and coming up at forty six after the hour, President
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Trump's super Bowl commercial and did you hear part of
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: the new border wall got blown over by heavy wind?
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: We're going to talk about all of this right after
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: you're listening to show. President Trump's campaign plan to run
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: to thirty second spots on Sunday. Um, the new ad
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: will talk about the president's economic record and the country's
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: low unemployment rate in front of the largest TV audience
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: all year. Trump campaign spent around ten million on the
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: national spot to air during the Super Bowl. What is it? Uh?
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Five million for thirty seconds? You know? Democratic candidate Mike
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Bloomberg will air a sixty second spot during the Super
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Bowl about gun violent Um. So there you have it.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Oh and in other news, part of the new border
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: wall section got blown over by wind? Uh Customs of Protection. Huh.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Mike Bloomberg has real money million, He's a billionaire for real.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: He's looking better too, at least his commercials. Yeah, I
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: really do part part of it. Like I was saying,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: part of the new border wall section got blown over
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: by wind. Customs and Border Protection. Uh. They say a
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: newly installed section of border wall in California fell over
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: in the high winds. It was high winds. Uh. The
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: wall had recently been put into a new concrete foundation.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: When the wind in MEXICALI blew the wall over onto
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: the trees on the Mexican side plate. So if the
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: wind can blow the wall down, where happened, if four
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: people climb up, huff and out puff, she took that
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: and put it down on that wall. Commercial. Can you
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: imagine you're trying to cross the border and you see
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: the wall come down. That's like a gift from God.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Oh wait a minute, y'all, Wait a minute, y'all, No
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: this way right. I do not understand how the Southern
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Christian Evangelicals support Donald Trump. That is the craziest thing
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: I do. There is racist as anybody on the face
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: of the earth. That's just my opinion. They hate gaze, blacks,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: anybody that's different from them, and that to me, that's
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: racist when you hate and exactly what it is. Yeah,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: this is they say. Some of the most segregated places
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: in the world are those churches on Sunday. I mean
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: they women who are getting abortion, lesbians, They hate all that,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: they hate it all. Yeah. So and Trump rallies that
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: so they're gonna vote for Trump. Yeah, I understand, I
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: get it. That's really all right. Well, coming up at
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: the top of the hour, Pempin is here and guess
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: what he's in Miami too. Super Bowl countdown continues on

- 1:19:05Speaker 1: last break of the day. It is the last break
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: of Yes, thank you, see job James, Jay, don't mess
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: run and lose your job, you though, right? All right,
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's the last break of
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: the day. Wow, that was Come on, Jay, is something
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: wrong we need to talk about, all right. And and
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: it's the last Friday before the Super Bowl. Steve is
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: already in Miami for the Big Game this Sunday, forty
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: nine Ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Wow here we are, yeah,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: all right, closing remarks. You know, this week right here
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: for many people has been a tough week, man, It
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: really really has. I was doing first take, and I
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: was talking with my brother stephen A, and I just
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: put my mom around there because I could feel that
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: he was heavy. I said, hanging there, man, he's just
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: been a rough week, man, because you know, he's in sports,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: and he's had to talk about this situation, the passing
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: of Kobe, his daughter and all those other people on
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: that helicopter, and he's had to talk about it and
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: give his take on it on every interview, every show,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: every morning. And I could just I've known stephen A
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: for a while and I could just feel how heavy
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: he was. I put my arm around him. I said,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: hanging there, man. He says, been a rough week, brother,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: And he said in a tone that's not the normal
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: stephen A Smith tone. And Molly was giving on first
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: take A she was reading what Vanessa Bryant had issued
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: her first statement, and Molly cried through that whole thing,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: and it just brought to mind that for a lot
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: of people who knew him and just knew of him,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: who respected him, who he gave enjoyment to, who he entertained,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: who people bet on, or all of the things, it
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: was a tough week for a lot of people. But
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna say something that I understand. I'm sixty three
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: years old. I have survived and seen in my lifetime
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: a lot of major deaths, and they all had a
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: certain impact. And I watched it over the years, and
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: the first major death that I saw was when President
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: Kennedy was killed. And I came home and I saw
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: my mother ironing and she was crying, and I said,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I asked my mama why she was crying. He said, baby,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: they killed President Kennedy. I'm pretty young, so I don't
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: really understand this, and I said, down. It was on
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: the news, and I watched it with him. It had
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: a little impact on me. At eleven years old, I
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: came home and I found out that they had killed
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Martin Luther King. This was the most impactful death of
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: my life at the time. And it was the most
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: impactful death for years and years and years to come.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: But when mar Luther King died, the the the anger
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: and the hurt in the African American community set every
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: major city ablaze because the people who were so oppressed
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: had no way to project their angle, not with voting
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: or anything. Y'all killed mar and Luther King. We're gonna
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: burn these cities down. And then I kept living, and
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: we lost some other people, and we lost some more people,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: and then some more significant people passed, and I've seen
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: all of them. When Michael Jackson passed, I know exactly
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: where I was when I got the news, and the
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: reaction to his death was major. We all were together
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: when we got the news that Prince had died, and
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: I watched how they handled the death of Prince, and
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: the London Bridge purple. Vic Ben Bush Khalifa in Dubai
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: went purple, the Eiffel Tower went purple, the Empire State
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: Building went purple. Two countries got together and shine lights
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: on Niagara Falls. The Niagara Falls went purple. This boy
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: was major. Mohammed Ali died, but because of his age
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: and his illness, he was singlely the greatest and most
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: impactful sports figure to ever pass in the history of
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: the world to my knowledge, but in my lifetime clearly
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: Martin Luth excuse me, Mohammed Ali's passing was that major,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: but he was sick, and people kind of and he
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: was older. When Kobe passed, it was so shocking with
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: the way he passed, the age, his daughter on the
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: plane and all those other people. Because of social media
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: and because this young brother was such an icon in
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: this age of technology and everything, the impact of his
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: passing has had a huge impact. I've never in my
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: life gotten more calls for more men to say I
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: love you, brother. I just wanted to call you and
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: tell you I loved you. When God called that man
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: home and those other people, if he intended for us
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: to get the message that life is precious, that every
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: time should be cherished. If that was one of the
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: messages Mission accomplished, this was a wake up call for
