  And our last few encouragement calls, I hope you've been listening and loving and learning

  and growing and just being encouraged.

  We've been looking through 2 Peter chapter 1 beginning with verse 3 and the last time

  we ended up with the end of verse 7.

  So beginning in verse 8 today and it says for or because if you possess these qualities

  and let's look again at what the qualities were, faith at goodness, knowledge, the knowledge
• 0:25
  at self-control, self-control, perseverance, perseverance, godliness, the godliness mutual
• 0:31
  affection and to mutual affection, love.

  For if you possess these qualities in increasing measures, now these are like meters and if
• 0:40
  they just keep going up as you are walking out your faith in Christ, if you keep adding
• 0:46
  these things and adding them by increments even, they will keep you from being ineffective,

  sometimes when you can't get done what you're supposed to get done and unproductive and
• 0:57
  that's when you can't produce what you're supposed to produce in your knowledge of our
• 1:01
  Lord Jesus Christ.

  It's one thing to know about Jesus, it's another thing to know Jesus and it's another thing

  to know Jesus and have our knowing of Jesus equal productivity and effectiveness and here
• 1:17
  Peter is telling us how to do those things.

  To add these characteristics, make a mental note of these verses, 2 Peter chapter 1 beginning

  in verse 3 and we've now reached through verse 8 and it tells you how to be productive and
• 1:31
  effective in your knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  God has made us able to have the divine nature and to walk out following Him despite our

  own desires and the corrupt nature we once had.
