- 1:42Speaker 5: turn you probably got to.
- 1:44Speaker 6: Turn mouth, turn the word the mot up looking. Come
- 1:58Speaker 6: come on, you'll think, uh huh, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 6: morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 7: You are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:07Speaker 7: want and only Steve harvey Man got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Real glad about it too.
- 2:14Speaker 8: You know.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I hope that God always.
- 2:19Speaker 7: Keeps me in the frame of mind to try to
- 2:22Speaker 7: be sharing and try to be motivational and ubly, even
- 2:27Speaker 7: when it's not felt or wanted by some people.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I have people around me.
- 2:35Speaker 7: Who seem to not benefit at all or anything, and
- 2:37Speaker 7: I can sit with them and talk to them or
- 2:40Speaker 7: take meetings with them to try to encourage them, and
- 2:43Speaker 7: for whatever reason, you know, they want to just keep
- 2:45Speaker 7: going the way they're going. When you run into people
- 2:48Speaker 7: like that, you have to pray for them. You have
- 2:50Speaker 7: to just hope that one day that they release the
- 2:54Speaker 7: chains on their mind and open up your mind to
- 2:56Speaker 7: a new way of thinking. A couple of things I
- 2:58Speaker 7: wanted to go over with that. I want you all
- 3:00Speaker 7: today in terms of motivation, I want you to be
- 3:05Speaker 7: aware of statements or old sayings that have been created
- 3:11Speaker 7: that you hear over the course of time, and you
- 3:15Speaker 7: may be applying them to your life. And I want
- 3:18Speaker 7: you to be careful of some of them because some
- 3:20Speaker 7: of these old sayings, man, are not designed for people
- 3:26Speaker 7: who are dreamers, are not designed for people who have
- 3:31Speaker 7: any aspirations of being extraordinary. These are not designs or
- 3:37Speaker 7: sayings that people who want to be extremely successful at
- 3:41Speaker 7: anything or have high aspirations to put these sayings into
- 3:46Speaker 7: your life. Let me give you an example. Statistics say
- 3:53Speaker 7: that's it.
- 3:54Speaker 2: That's the one. I want you to be careful about.
- 3:57Speaker 7: Statistics say, be very careful of stats. When a person says,
- 4:05Speaker 7: you know, statistics say one out of every what see,
- 4:10Speaker 7: listen to me. These are things that sound like they're good,
- 4:14Speaker 7: sound solid advice, but they're setting you up for failure.
- 4:19Speaker 2: And you can't adhere.
- 4:20Speaker 7: Yourself to a lot of these sayings that's been passed
- 4:24Speaker 7: down from generations. And it's not scripture. It ain't in
- 4:29Speaker 7: a scripture nowhere that statistics say.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It's just some people, and a lot of people who
- 4:35Speaker 2: have lost have.
- 4:37Speaker 7: Come up with these sayings to justify why they keep
- 4:41Speaker 7: losing or why they lost. When I was earth got
- 4:45Speaker 7: started in the business, there were more stand ups around
- 4:50Speaker 7: now than it is today because the comedy boom in
- 4:53Speaker 7: eighty four eighty five was it was gaining a lot
- 4:58Speaker 7: of momentum's comedy club, comedy nights everywhere. The statistic that
- 5:03Speaker 7: a guy told me I told him I wanted to
- 5:06Speaker 7: be on the Johnny Carson Show, the Tonight Show. The
- 5:13Speaker 7: guy said, one out of every two thousand comedians ever
- 5:19Speaker 7: make it to the Tonight Show. Okay, Now, when he
- 5:26Speaker 7: told us that, some of the comedians in the room went, well, wow, man,
- 5:31Speaker 7: that's rough. Because a guy had also said that there
- 5:35Speaker 7: was approximately six thousand comedians in the country at that time.
- 5:41Speaker 7: I don't know if it was true. I'm just telling
- 5:42Speaker 7: you a guy was out there fewer numbers. I have
- 5:45Speaker 7: no idea how many it was, but he said one
- 5:48Speaker 7: in every two thousand will make it to the Tonight Show.
- 5:51Speaker 7: And he let the air out of everybody in the
- 5:53Speaker 7: room but me. So every night before I went on stage,
- 5:58Speaker 7: I used to do this right here, Bae.
- 6:04Speaker 5: Bad.
- 6:07Speaker 7: That was the tonight theme song. I was young opening
- 6:11Speaker 7: act nowhere near Hollywood, didn't. I was in Cleveland telling
- 6:15Speaker 7: jokes at one night. But that was my thing because
- 6:19Speaker 7: I was bent and determined that if it's one in
- 6:22Speaker 7: two thousand, okay, why don't I just be the one?
- 6:26Speaker 2: Be careful when.
- 6:27Speaker 7: People say statistics say because they are set up to fulfailure.
- 6:31Speaker 7: If you're gonna adhere to him? See that won in
- 6:34Speaker 7: so many it wanted. So many people win the lottery.
- 6:36Speaker 7: But if you don't play the lottery, you ain't gonna
- 6:38Speaker 7: be the one to hit. Not when the dude hit
- 6:39Speaker 7: you go while he was lucky, but he played. Here's
- 6:43Speaker 7: another one. Maybe it's not meant to be. Let's go
- 6:48Speaker 7: one step further. I guess it wasn't the Lord's will.
- 6:53Speaker 7: Don't you dare blame God for something you may have
- 6:57Speaker 7: not done yourself because you didn't get the proper education,
- 7:02Speaker 7: because you didn't do the things you were supposed to do,
- 7:05Speaker 7: because you didn't stay to the task, because you quit
- 7:09Speaker 7: turned around and with the other way. Now, maybe it's
- 7:12Speaker 7: not it wasn't the Lord's will. These are all statements
- 7:16Speaker 7: that sound like sound advice, but they ain't all the
- 7:21Speaker 7: time got nothing.
- 7:22Speaker 2: To do with you.
- 7:24Speaker 7: Stop letting these old fogy sayings get in your way
- 7:28Speaker 7: of what can happen in your life.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Don't put all your eggs in one basket? Who came
- 7:38Speaker 2: up with this? Who came up with it?
- 7:40Speaker 7: If you don't pour all your efforts into one thing,
- 7:44Speaker 7: how are you gonna be great at that one thing?
- 7:48Speaker 7: If Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had
- 7:53Speaker 7: not played basketball sun up to sundown. Magic Johnson didn't
- 7:57Speaker 7: go to Michigan to get an education. Larry Berry ain't
- 8:02Speaker 7: go to Indiana to get an education. These cats was balling.
- 8:06Speaker 7: Michael Jordan didn't go to North Carolina get an education.
- 8:10Speaker 7: They went to play ball. They went to do one thing.
- 8:14Speaker 7: Tiger Woods didn't go to Stamford to get an education.
- 8:18Speaker 7: He went to play golf. As soon as he got
- 8:20Speaker 7: good enough, he gone. These are guys that put all
- 8:24Speaker 7: they eggs in one basket. See what's cool with putting
- 8:29Speaker 7: all your eggs in one basket is you now can
- 8:31Speaker 7: maximize your effort and laser beam what you're doing.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Your problem is all you gotta do is make sure
- 8:39Speaker 2: what is your.
- 8:40Speaker 7: Basket made out of If your basket is made out
- 8:44Speaker 7: of faith, hope, hard work, and belief, then guess what, that's.
- 8:49Speaker 2: A good basket. I'm dumping all mine in it.
- 8:52Speaker 7: Because ever since I was a young dude, I've been
- 8:55Speaker 7: telling jokes, one thing, one thing only.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Even when it got ugly and I was living in car,
- 9:00Speaker 2: I never quit telling them jokes. Man.
- 9:03Speaker 7: I just kept believing that them jokes was gonna pay
- 9:05Speaker 7: me one day, and I'll be dog gone if it didn't.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I ain't take no time off.
- 9:09Speaker 7: Go work at the Walmart, get me a job, go
- 9:12Speaker 7: back to Ford and big for my job back.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Hey, man, put all your eggs in a basket.
- 9:18Speaker 7: Just make sure that your basket is made up of faith, hope, belief,
- 9:22Speaker 7: hard work.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Your basket woven by God. What you tripping for?
- 9:28Speaker 7: You're defeating yourself. Where is your faith? Where is your belief?
- 9:33Speaker 7: Where is your trust? At one point in time, you
- 9:36Speaker 7: got to bleed that God could do what he said
- 9:38Speaker 7: gonna do because he'd have done it for others, He'll
- 9:40Speaker 7: most certainly do it for you. Be careful of these
- 9:43Speaker 7: sayings that's out here, that's aligned by losers and people
- 9:48Speaker 7: to justify why they are not succeeding. Don't apply this
- 9:51Speaker 7: stuff to your life, and it ain't got nothing to
- 9:52Speaker 7: do with you. You're gonna mess yourself up.
- 9:55Speaker 4: All right, Okay, you're listening hard morning.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 8: You know what.
- 10:04Speaker 7: It's that time again. It's time for the Steve Harvey
- 10:06Speaker 7: Morning Show. Greatest show on Earth. It is greatest show
- 10:10Speaker 7: on Earth. It is greatest show in modulate radio.
- 10:14Speaker 9: It is.
- 10:15Speaker 7: It's the greatest show in secular radio. It's the greatest
- 10:19Speaker 7: show in adult contemporary. It's just a bad thing.
- 10:23Speaker 8: Man.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Now listen to me. The reason I chose to say
- 10:26Speaker 2: that this morning is.
- 10:28Speaker 7: Out of pure gratitude, because you don't get to say
- 10:30Speaker 7: that unless you hear you don't get to hear it
- 10:34Speaker 7: unless you're here.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Thank God, we all are here.
- 10:41Speaker 7: What better way to start your day than give thanks
- 10:43Speaker 7: to the Almighty, to the Creator, to the founder that all,
- 10:47Speaker 7: chitector author of my destination, my life, everything. Man, I've
- 10:51Speaker 7: given God, my Savior, Jesus Christ, total control of everything
- 10:55Speaker 7: I am and who I am. Man, no weapon formed
- 10:57Speaker 7: against me, show prossible.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I'm locked in. Man, let's go. We're gonna have a
- 11:02Speaker 2: great day. I invite all of you to do the same.
- 11:04Speaker 7: Shirley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi, Monica Junior and the
- 11:08Speaker 7: legend of Nephew Tommy Well, Junior, how you feeling.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Man, I think you said it for me.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Thank God, I'm here.
- 11:17Speaker 10: I God, I can't think of a better place I'd
- 11:20Speaker 10: rather be. Could have been different than here, didn't hear because.
- 11:25Speaker 8: Where you was.
- 11:27Speaker 10: Boulder, Hey, Joe.
- 11:29Speaker 2: But I'm gonna tell you though I checked on your
- 11:31Speaker 2: daily though.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I know you did. I know you daily, just
- 11:34Speaker 1: you just in different times.
- 11:35Speaker 10: I ain't get the phone call because I know that
- 11:37Speaker 10: would go that would have lifted my No.
- 11:38Speaker 2: No, no, no, no no no no no, no, no
- 11:40Speaker 2: no no. You want to check on you through Monica.
- 11:44Speaker 10: Okay, I'm just saying you've been nice. You could have called,
- 11:47Speaker 10: but you didn't know what time to call. I know
- 11:49Speaker 10: that's oh no, oh, You're gonna blame it on the time.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Times when I ain't want to wake you up in
- 11:57Speaker 2: case you was getting some sleep.
- 12:01Speaker 10: But you know what, can I just say some man?
- 12:03Speaker 8: Uh huh?
- 12:04Speaker 10: Going through that, man, I don't know if you have
- 12:05Speaker 10: felt like this. Man, I really felt like and you
- 12:08Speaker 10: know I didn't do nothing wrong. I felt like I
- 12:10Speaker 10: had let a lot of people down. Now you feel
- 12:13Speaker 10: like that sometimes, Yeah.
- 12:15Speaker 7: And everybody questions. Everybody has the why me Lord syndrome?
- 12:20Speaker 7: Every now and then everybody has.
- 12:22Speaker 2: It and it ain't you.
- 12:23Speaker 7: Ain't no difference. Then God's answer be always be the same,
- 12:28Speaker 7: why not you? And then I'll be going, well, why
- 12:31Speaker 7: not me? He said, because you mind? And I'm using
- 12:33Speaker 7: you as evidence in proof that I exist. You find
- 12:37Speaker 7: God in some of your toughest moments. That's how you
- 12:41Speaker 7: know when God is real. When He brings you through
- 12:45Speaker 7: something you didn't see how you don't come out of.
- 12:48Speaker 7: That's when you know God is real. Sometimes God give
- 12:51Speaker 7: you stuff just so he can verify your faith and
- 12:55Speaker 7: you can verify. You can just check in and go, okay,
- 12:58Speaker 7: that go God. He aim through again. He didn't leave me.
- 13:02Speaker 2: He came and got me. Sometimes it's for that, like
- 13:07Speaker 2: when you go into a hospital or something. It ain't calm.
- 13:11Speaker 7: Sometimes it just a tested your faith. Man, man, quit
- 13:15Speaker 7: listening to people. You're doing good, junior, doing real good. Man,
- 13:20Speaker 7: got your hell, I mean, got your head on.
- 13:24Speaker 8: That.
- 13:24Speaker 10: Don't stop over here.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I've tried to say you got your hat on.
- 13:32Speaker 11: What I missed though, coming up at thirty two minutes
- 13:37Speaker 11: after the hour. We'll have some church complaints right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 4: You're listening Morning show.
- 13:46Speaker 11: It is time now for Reverend Bonetown digging deaf jam
- 13:51Speaker 11: with church complaints.
- 13:56Speaker 7: In the words of Late rapp On not sure of
- 14:00Speaker 7: his name, let me clear my soul. Yeah you know, Uh,
- 14:14Speaker 7: I only asked for clearance every now and then, so
- 14:19Speaker 7: I'll repeat myself. Let me clear my soat.
- 14:27Speaker 8: All?
- 14:27Speaker 7: Right now, Yeah, that's how I feel this morning. Let's
- 14:31Speaker 7: just going to get right to it. Or deacon you
- 14:34Speaker 7: have or for.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Us or civil complaints, go ahead.
- 14:39Speaker 12: Yeah, I said, I do pass it. We got a
- 14:42Speaker 12: situation that's actually going on right now. Big Charlie Moe.
- 14:46Speaker 12: Big Charlie Mo is stuck in the shower as we speak.
- 14:51Speaker 12: As you know, Big Charlie is six six three twenty five.
- 14:54Speaker 12: He was trying to wash his back and pull a
- 14:58Speaker 12: muscle in one arm and dislocated the shoulder in the
- 15:02Speaker 12: other arm. The door is locked and his wife can't
- 15:06Speaker 12: get in the bathroom. He's been in there since Sunday morning.
- 15:09Speaker 12: They was on the way to check, but he's still
- 15:11Speaker 12: in there.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Is that is he say?
- 15:12Speaker 8: That?
- 15:12Speaker 12: Is anybody you can sit down there to help them
- 15:16Speaker 12: tell them get out of the bathroom. But he was
- 15:19Speaker 12: trying to watch his back path and that's that little
- 15:22Speaker 12: centerpiece in the back. He couldn't reach it every then,
- 15:24Speaker 12: but he pulled a muscle in one arm and threw
- 15:27Speaker 12: out his shoulder in the huddon.
- 15:29Speaker 2: You understand, or we will not be going down there.
- 15:34Speaker 7: Or we've gone over this several times with the wide
- 15:39Speaker 7: bodies at the church.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Or what.
- 15:44Speaker 7: Sister or Tisha has formed the eat Right Committee at
- 15:51Speaker 7: the church, and we have been waiting on anybody to
- 15:55Speaker 7: sign up. But that's the show sign that you need
- 15:59Speaker 7: to sign up. Your wide ass hm hm uh it
- 16:04Speaker 7: can't get in or out the shower.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Do to wait.
- 16:07Speaker 7: We're not helping no more overweights at our church until
- 16:12Speaker 7: you get in enjoined the eat Right Ministry.
- 16:16Speaker 12: Mr alright, so we just gonna leaved boy and catt
- 16:21Speaker 12: it because I accidentally let it leap that the church
- 16:24Speaker 12: would not be setting fried chicken anymore that the.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Boy car or the entire ministry. All right, hold on
- 16:37Speaker 2: for this one. Now, this this this, this was mailed
- 16:39Speaker 2: in to us.
- 16:41Speaker 12: Our puff daddy is asking if you could come testify
- 16:44Speaker 12: about the baby all he's saying it was for a
- 16:48Speaker 12: flipping slide park that he was investing in. And uh,
- 16:52Speaker 12: he's asking if you would come and testify on his behalf.
- 16:56Speaker 7: I don't know if you were well, but the CEO
- 17:00Speaker 7: Costco released a statement that they not gonna have they
- 17:08Speaker 7: stole bought into this foolishness and let us know they
- 17:13Speaker 7: didn't have nothing to do to that. Matter of fact,
- 17:15Speaker 7: Costco don't even sell baby or so that full attorney
- 17:21Speaker 7: talking about he bought it in bulk at Costco, Puffy
- 17:27Speaker 7: gonna have to let his lawyer go. He had made
- 17:29Speaker 7: several public statements that's gonna hut him in the defense.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I Costco with the objections.
- 17:38Speaker 7: Yeah, Costco already, they don't need to bring it us
- 17:41Speaker 7: in question it. We don't even sell baby or colding
- 17:47Speaker 7: the Costco who your Costco is bulk? Yeah, you can't
- 17:55Speaker 7: get that bottle but so big, Well you know that
- 18:03Speaker 7: for a fact.
- 18:06Speaker 12: That takes me past the right to the next one
- 18:08Speaker 12: that well, it's their competitor. But listen to that, brother, Donelle,
- 18:12Speaker 12: I got put out the house again. Our sister Charlene says,
- 18:16Speaker 12: he told him, I want you to take me to
- 18:18Speaker 12: a nice club. That sells good food and drinks. He
- 18:24Speaker 12: took her to Sam's Club, and.
- 18:29Speaker 2: See that.
- 18:29Speaker 12: I put him out the house and locked the door.
- 18:32Speaker 12: And he wants you to talk to her and see
- 18:34Speaker 12: if you can get him back in the house. But
- 18:35Speaker 12: that's that's the problem he wants. He wanted to go
- 18:38Speaker 12: out to a nice club with good food and drink,
- 18:40Speaker 12: and he took her to Sam's Club.
- 18:42Speaker 2: So who is his brother? Who knows that's Brother Donell.
- 18:48Speaker 8: Well.
- 18:48Speaker 7: I can't get mad at brother Donell due to the
- 18:52Speaker 7: fact that this is his third infraction. Remember now, she
- 18:58Speaker 7: had asked to go to a nice clube with nice
- 19:01Speaker 7: drinks and nice food in it, and last time he
- 19:06Speaker 7: took her the Magic City. He did the job, though
- 19:13Speaker 7: he did talking about how good the Waynes and Broccoli is.
- 19:18Speaker 7: He set up there and didn't have a wing or broccoli,
- 19:21Speaker 7: and then did not have enough money left to pay
- 19:24Speaker 7: for the wings or the broccoli.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I do recall that dell quickness, she said, club.
- 19:36Speaker 12: Keeping it moving past this boy. He is out of control.
- 19:39Speaker 12: Please talk to Brother Kennedy. Now, Brother Kendick, we thought
- 19:43Speaker 12: him and Divita was doing very good. They've been dating
- 19:45Speaker 12: for six months now. But he told how last week,
- 19:50Speaker 12: once you catch me cheating, we done. You two know
- 19:54Speaker 12: it to be in a relationship with me. Pastor, you're
- 19:57Speaker 12: gonna have to.
- 19:58Speaker 13: Talk to you.
- 20:01Speaker 7: This boy right here is outstanding. I also follow him
- 20:08Speaker 7: on Instagram and on Instagram. Or she was running out
- 20:14Speaker 7: the door accusing him of cheating, and he said, you
- 20:20Speaker 7: accusing me of cheating and it's just been one time.
- 20:26Speaker 7: So is you saying that if I cut somebody's hair
- 20:31Speaker 7: one time, I'm a barble.
- 20:34Speaker 4: And she stood there in.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Total dismay.
- 20:38Speaker 7: I was just impressed with that boy's quickness of foot,
- 20:44Speaker 7: thinking somewhere I saw that on Instagram.
- 20:50Speaker 11: Thank you, Reverend Motown taking deaf jam Let's church complaints
- 20:55Speaker 11: for today coming up next, and is ask the CELO
- 20:58Speaker 11: or Chief Love Officers Steve Harvey, you're listening Dave Harvey
- 21:03Speaker 11: Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:06Speaker 11: In trending headlines, Hurricane Helene has been downgraded after leaving
- 21:10Speaker 11: a trail of destruction in the southeast.
- 21:13Speaker 4: New York.
- 21:13Speaker 11: Mayor Eric Adams pleads not guilty at his arraignment, and
- 21:18Speaker 11: the CARDI being offset divorce battle is all over social
- 21:21Speaker 11: media again.
- 21:23Speaker 4: That's all coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:25Speaker 11: But right now it is time to ask the CLO
- 21:28Speaker 11: our chief love Officer, Steve Harvey. This from Dion in Fairfax.
- 21:33Speaker 11: Dion writes, my husband is teaching our son how to drive,
- 21:36Speaker 11: but he's not the most patient person. My son begged
- 21:39Speaker 11: me to teach him instead, and my husband won't allow it.
- 21:42Speaker 11: He said, the world will not give our son choices,
- 21:45Speaker 11: So we're not Is this all about his ego?
- 21:50Speaker 7: Part of it, but it's also about oh mainly right,
- 21:54Speaker 7: stop baby and your boy. Yeah, your boy wants you
- 21:56Speaker 7: to teach him because you ease him. But the world
- 21:59Speaker 7: ain't gonna be on your son. Please let your please,
- 22:02Speaker 7: let your husband do this. He ain't got to be patient.
- 22:05Speaker 7: The police ain't patient either.
- 22:09Speaker 2: At all.
- 22:11Speaker 7: Zimp Please get out the way and stop letting your
- 22:15Speaker 7: boy whine. Do like your daddy say. Daddy trying to
- 22:19Speaker 7: turn him into a man. Now, he gonna fight that
- 22:22Speaker 7: because it's hard, So he gonna go to mama and
- 22:25Speaker 7: now here you already up in it.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Just if he don't want to.
- 22:28Speaker 7: Learn how to drive from his daddy, he can't drive,
- 22:30Speaker 7: that's all. Ain't nothing wrong. That's what's wrong with these
- 22:33Speaker 7: kids now? They soft man, mama, he hollering at me. Boy,
- 22:40Speaker 7: my daddy taught me how to drive. My mama can't drive.
- 22:43Speaker 8: So what what.
- 22:46Speaker 2: You talk about? It ain't got no patience. This is
- 22:48Speaker 2: how the lesson started.
- 22:50Speaker 14: The boy.
- 22:50Speaker 7: Let me tell you so we got one car. This
- 22:54Speaker 7: car got to take your mama to the church, and
- 22:57Speaker 7: this cad got to take me to work. You tell
- 23:00Speaker 7: it is called up. I'm gonna tear your ass. Hit
- 23:08Speaker 7: that hit nothing. No, that's for the lesson start.
- 23:15Speaker 4: That was a heavy burden.
- 23:18Speaker 2: This only advice he gave me.
- 23:19Speaker 7: Most important thing you need in all the driving is
- 23:23Speaker 7: that pedal in the middle called the break.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Toutch it whenever you ain't show Okay, okay, all right.
- 23:34Speaker 11: Moving on to Braylan in Tybee Island, Braylan writes, I
- 23:39Speaker 11: went to my parents home to wait out the storm,
- 23:41Speaker 11: and my girlfriend went with me. I'm twenty eight and
- 23:44Speaker 11: she's twenty seven, and my dad made me sleep on
- 23:46Speaker 11: the couch. We are grown and we live together. So
- 23:50Speaker 11: what's the big deal about us sharing a bedroom.
- 23:53Speaker 7: Because you can't disrespect your father's house. You ain't married
- 23:58Speaker 7: this girl. If he got to teach you how to
- 24:00Speaker 7: respect her in his house, then he will. He can't
- 24:03Speaker 7: have two people in his house in that bedroom, all
- 24:06Speaker 7: the noises coming from out of there. That's why your
- 24:08Speaker 7: father did it. This called respect. That's something else. Man,
- 24:12Speaker 7: This generation don't want to hear. You can bring this
- 24:15Speaker 7: girl over here, But hey man, y'all can't sleep in
- 24:18Speaker 7: the same bed your mama in here.
- 24:21Speaker 2: That's that's all too man. It's just this respect, young brother.
- 24:25Speaker 7: It's just one damn you over here. Just yeah, we grown.
- 24:30Speaker 7: But if your ass is so grown, where your house
- 24:33Speaker 7: you can nestle down here for the stone?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Huh? Where your grown ass house at? You at your daddy?
- 24:41Speaker 1: He evacuated. Maybe it was safe. Maybe the parents live
- 24:43Speaker 1: in a safer area.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Great, well, where your safe ass? Money at the hotel,
- 24:52Speaker 2: a whole lot of places, you know.
- 24:53Speaker 7: So you know, you know, you know where your second
- 24:56Speaker 7: home at. Man, tell you, man, y'all, it's just respect, bro.
- 25:02Speaker 7: Just it ain't but a couple of nights sleep on
- 25:05Speaker 7: the couch.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, Moving on.
- 25:10Speaker 2: To shouldn't even a question my fault.
- 25:13Speaker 4: At all at all?
- 25:18Speaker 1: Even get it out, all right.
- 25:22Speaker 2: But why to my fault?
- 25:25Speaker 1: Why mm hmm?
- 25:27Speaker 4: Just do as I say. That's it, that's all.
- 25:31Speaker 11: All right, Latricia, and Hoboken writes, I'm sleeping with a
- 25:34Speaker 11: deadbeat that never has any money. He can barely pay
- 25:38Speaker 11: my cell phone bill every month, and it's getting on
- 25:40Speaker 11: my nerves. He thinks he shouldn't have to help me
- 25:42Speaker 11: out financially. He pays his child support, so shouldn't he
- 25:46Speaker 11: pay me?
- 25:49Speaker 7: Well, hey, you unless you're in a different line work
- 25:53Speaker 7: that you didn't put in a letter. Hey you pay
- 25:59Speaker 7: you is a different form of work.
- 26:05Speaker 2: See, he pay his child's support because he's responsible for
- 26:10Speaker 2: the child.
- 26:12Speaker 7: He's not responsible for you yet. But always remember a
- 26:19Speaker 7: coach told me this one time, you're gonna play like
- 26:22Speaker 7: your practice. He said, Boy, if y'all ain't getting this
- 26:26Speaker 7: play right at practice, that hell make you think you're
- 26:28Speaker 7: gonna get it right in the game. Because when people
- 26:31Speaker 7: and game day, they gonna try to do everything and
- 26:33Speaker 7: they power make sure you don't get your play right. So, now,
- 26:36Speaker 7: if you got a man that's practicing being what you
- 26:41Speaker 7: think is supposed to be your husband, and this is
- 26:44Speaker 7: how he practiced, this is how he gonna play, he feeling,
- 26:51Speaker 7: why should you a whole lot of other time? Why
- 26:55Speaker 7: should we pull out? He's a deadbeat, He don't. I mean,
- 27:00Speaker 7: he's a deadbeat and you will.
- 27:02Speaker 11: Okay, okay, all right, moving on last one, last one,
- 27:06Speaker 11: You've almost got it out.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Last one. Japhanie and Jacksonville writes that.
- 27:13Speaker 11: Dad, my neighbor's dad, hit my mailbox and they think
- 27:16Speaker 11: I should forgive him because he's old. I am expecting
- 27:20Speaker 11: them to do the right thing and replace the bricks
- 27:22Speaker 11: around my box.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Is that too much to ask? Would I be wrong
- 27:25Speaker 4: to get a police report?
- 27:27Speaker 2: Well, your neighbors should repair that. I mean, that's the
- 27:31Speaker 2: neighborly thing to do.
- 27:33Speaker 7: Yeah, Now, if your old ass daddy can't CD, they
- 27:37Speaker 7: old ass daddy don't need to be behind the wheel.
- 27:41Speaker 2: He'd have hit the whole mailbox.
- 27:44Speaker 5: You know.
- 27:44Speaker 7: That could have been a car, which is way more expensive.
- 27:48Speaker 7: That could have been a person taking out the garbage.
- 27:53Speaker 7: His old ass don't need to be driving.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Now.
- 27:55Speaker 7: I know, I will forgive him. As a matter of fact,
- 27:58Speaker 7: I forgive your father. But y'all got to pay for
- 28:01Speaker 7: this damn mailbox.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Yeah, you know you have to.
- 28:05Speaker 7: That's the right thing to do, is to pay for
- 28:07Speaker 7: the mailbox, or at least for it. Ain't no offer
- 28:12Speaker 7: offer accepted?
- 28:15Speaker 4: Oh okay, then yeah, U.
- 28:20Speaker 7: No, no, no, you have to pay for this mailbox.
- 28:24Speaker 7: I don't understand, he owes, so you know, no, no,
- 28:28Speaker 7: he his old ass got some money.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Though, he oh he owes.
- 28:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 28:32Speaker 4: But if he doesn't, she's gonna get a police report.
- 28:38Speaker 7: Old people have money. I'm not gonna lie to y'all.
- 28:43Speaker 7: Old people have money. Old people that's get that. That
- 28:48Speaker 7: old they've been around a long time. They know how

- 31:09Speaker 11: this story.
- 31:11Speaker 7: There's so much going on, man, in the news. It's
- 31:13Speaker 7: hard to follow all this stuff. Yeah, the hurricane was

- 31:26Speaker 7: your health and all of that is really more critical

- 32:23Speaker 11: debating whether Cardi B is right or if Offset Offset
- 32:26Speaker 11: is right. Here's what happened. Okay, So Offset accused Carti
- 32:30Speaker 11: B of cheating on him while she was pregnant with
- 32:33Speaker 11: their third child. Carti got on Instagram Live to respond
- 32:36Speaker 11: to Offset in a rent of just cursing and exposing

- 32:46Speaker 4: Tell the truth.
- 32:48Speaker 11: Cardi paused to read Offset's comment, then responded and did.
- 32:53Speaker 11: Carti continued her rent by basically telling Offset that it's
- 32:56Speaker 11: cool when he does.
- 32:57Speaker 4: It, but it's a problem if she does it. Here
- 33:00Speaker 4: we go again with double standards. What are you thinking?
- 33:03Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 33:04Speaker 8: Why?
- 33:05Speaker 4: Why why do you married couples just venting on social media?
- 33:09Speaker 2: Is own live? Yeah?
- 33:12Speaker 4: All their business with that type of comment, I.
- 33:16Speaker 13: Mean, Cardie B always goes live. So did she specifically
- 33:20Speaker 13: go live for that or she was just it's.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Just too much we know about their marriage.
- 33:30Speaker 7: Yeah, I shouldn't even notice information you did something with
- 33:39Speaker 7: a baby inside. Her response was what and did?
- 33:47Speaker 11: It's a lot, It's a whole lot, yeah, but the
- 33:52Speaker 11: whole venting in in the public, you know, on social
- 33:56Speaker 11: media where the world can see it.
- 33:57Speaker 7: In a lot of this generation does that. I'm not

- 34:56Speaker 13: going back and forth.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Y'all got young children.
- 35:00Speaker 7: It's just you know, but you care about public opinion
- 35:03Speaker 7: too much. Yeah, and now there is no healing process.
- 35:08Speaker 7: You can't work stuff out in the public, man, you can't.
- 35:12Speaker 11: And it's like they're trying to hurt each other. It's
- 35:14Speaker 11: like when you do something like this, you're really trying
- 35:16Speaker 11: to hurt the other person by making it public like this.
- 35:19Speaker 13: You know, right, and this is the father of your children.
- 35:24Speaker 13: She's the mother of your children. So what are y'all doing?

- 41:04Speaker 7: Republicans when it comes to social media and things like that.
- 41:07Speaker 7: It'll all balance out. Don't worry about that. The churches
- 41:10Speaker 7: ain't full like they used.
- 41:12Speaker 2: To be anyway.
- 41:13Speaker 7: Yeah, too many of these pastors that, you know, breaking news,
- 41:18Speaker 7: you know, way you're the headline.
- 41:22Speaker 4: You know, Well did that bother you to s? What
- 41:26Speaker 4: are your thoughts?
- 41:26Speaker 8: Say?
- 41:26Speaker 2: Well, the Bible said they're gonna be false prophets.
- 41:29Speaker 7: You know, all these preachers run around knocking people down
- 41:31Speaker 7: with their forehead and all this heir just tapping them
- 41:34Speaker 7: and they fighting. Don't nobody won't believe believe all that?
- 41:37Speaker 7: Now you what did you just walk around the heck
- 41:40Speaker 7: knock them down? You know, they knocked this one lady
- 41:44Speaker 7: down and she turned around and the two people had
- 41:46Speaker 7: worked their way around there to hold to catch us,
- 41:48Speaker 7: so she had to wait. Yeah, then you find out
- 41:53Speaker 7: around there. Then she failed, I said, healthy.
- 41:58Speaker 2: She reached back there and didn't see Nobody said, oh hell,
- 42:05Speaker 2: what is that?
- 42:07Speaker 8: What is that?
- 42:07Speaker 4: What are you talking about?
- 42:08Speaker 8: Women?
- 42:09Speaker 3: Faith?
- 42:09Speaker 7: Healley, shirley hellers, it ain't really into faith healing, and
- 42:13Speaker 7: know that's creating a delemmit, you know, Okay, and then
- 42:18Speaker 7: the white mental sistants losing their mind, they buying up
- 42:21Speaker 7: airplanes and on lines talking about it, you know, things
- 42:25Speaker 7: like that boy's this I got to find this name

- 42:34Speaker 7: tidy Planeteler Harry's playing.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Oh I don't know who that is?
- 42:39Speaker 7: Yeah, you see him, he be on line, just be
- 42:42Speaker 7: talking just as crazy Ousten who go to this church.

- 42:50Speaker 7: Wonder And then that other man talking about I'm rich,
- 42:52Speaker 7: I got a mansion and all this head and I

- 42:57Speaker 7: houses Hendy Louis.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know.
- 43:02Speaker 10: Minister Kitty's Copeland.
- 43:03Speaker 1: Oh Copeland, you know's gone down?
- 43:06Speaker 7: Or where's you're working? Where's you mind? All these mansions?
- 43:13Speaker 7: The lord said, I have prepared a mansion for you.

- 45:52Speaker 8: if possibly, you know, my back is up against the
- 45:54Speaker 8: wall right now. I'm trying to see if I can
- 45:56Speaker 8: possibly put something in one of you alls freezers for
- 46:00Speaker 8: a couple of days until I get freed up on
- 46:03Speaker 8: this end. So that's why I wanted to see if
- 46:05Speaker 8: you guys would allow me to do something like that.
- 46:08Speaker 8: Is that possible? Sir?
- 46:10Speaker 15: Sorry, I'm a little confused. Don't want to buy a freezer.
- 46:14Speaker 15: You just want to put something in one of our freezers.
- 46:17Speaker 8: I just want to put somebody there for a couple
- 46:19Speaker 8: of days because I have a freezer, but mine is
- 46:21Speaker 8: completely full, and I'm trying to see if I can
- 46:24Speaker 8: put something you as freezer until, you know, for a
- 46:26Speaker 8: couple of days, and then I'll come back and get it.
- 46:29Speaker 3: I'm so sorry.
- 46:30Speaker 8: We don't do that.
- 46:34Speaker 15: If you wanted to come by and purchase a freezer,
- 46:38Speaker 15: I'm happy to help you, but we don't allow outside
- 46:41Speaker 15: vendors to put things in our freezers.

- 46:50Speaker 8: was going on, he might he might be able.
- 46:51Speaker 2: To help me though.
- 46:52Speaker 15: Okay, you said your name was Kevin.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Kevin.
- 46:56Speaker 15: Okay, Kevin, if you just hold a moment, I will
- 46:58Speaker 15: see if Dale can.
- 46:59Speaker 8: Take your call. That's what the hell I asked in
- 47:01Speaker 8: the first place is mixed death key? Then hold on? Hey,
- 47:07Speaker 8: this is that I can help you. Hey, how you

- 47:32Speaker 8: and I'm I'm my back is against the wall. You
- 47:36Speaker 8: can't highly recommended to give you a call. Is it
- 47:39Speaker 8: possible for me to, h I need to keep something
- 47:43Speaker 8: frozen for a few days? Uh, it's only going to
- 47:45Speaker 8: be like two days. My my freezer be uh you know,
- 47:49Speaker 8: half empty in a couple of days. I just want
- 47:51Speaker 8: to just need some somebody to just kind of help
- 47:53Speaker 8: me out here. Is it possible for me to bring
- 47:55Speaker 8: something over there to keep keep it frozen for a
- 47:58Speaker 8: couple of days?
- 47:59Speaker 14: You know what we got at the showroom, you know,
- 48:01Speaker 14: with different displays so you could see what different kind
- 48:04Speaker 14: of refrigerators look in your restaurant. But I mean, if
- 48:06Speaker 14: you want to come and take a look at one,
- 48:08Speaker 14: I can have you in if you're interested in buying one.
- 48:11Speaker 8: But no, no, I just there for show, you know,

- 48:22Speaker 8: really got to get this this stuff on frozen, Man,
- 48:25Speaker 8: I'm gonna be in trouble. Like I said, I'm I'm
- 48:28Speaker 8: back against the wall over here, man. And I can't
- 48:31Speaker 8: remember who recommended you, but you can't highly recommend it
- 48:33Speaker 8: that you might be able to kill me a little
- 48:35Speaker 8: love on this look. I guess it comes back.
- 48:37Speaker 5: It depends on what do you need?
- 48:38Speaker 8: How much?
- 48:39Speaker 14: How much do you have do you need frozen?
- 48:41Speaker 15: I mean I don't even know what you well, well.
- 48:43Speaker 8: I got three bodies that I need to get to keep,
- 48:48Speaker 8: you know, to keep frozen man. That you know we
- 48:50Speaker 8: run a mortuary over here. This is both bodies. Yeah,
- 48:53Speaker 8: we gotta need three people bodies. Yeah, yeah, we got
- 48:57Speaker 8: three bodies that and like I said, my freezers fall man.
- 49:00Speaker 8: But in a couple of days, you know, these bodies,
- 49:03Speaker 8: you know, the funels would have happened, so we'll be
- 49:06Speaker 8: freed up, you know. But right now, I got I
- 49:08Speaker 8: got three bodies coming in the day that I got
- 49:10Speaker 8: to get in the freezer.
- 49:12Speaker 14: Are you crazy your damn mind?
- 49:15Speaker 8: No? No, no, I'm dead serious. I'm dead serious, bro.
- 49:19Speaker 8: So like I said, you can't highly recommend it, you know.
- 49:21Speaker 8: And I'm just trying to get somebody to show me
- 49:23Speaker 8: your little love.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Man.
- 49:23Speaker 8: You got those freezers, you don't have nothing in them,
- 49:26Speaker 8: you know, I just need it for a couple of days.
- 49:28Speaker 14: You got to be out of your mind. We're not
- 49:30Speaker 14: talking about ice. This isn't chicken wings or a pork shoulder.
- 49:33Speaker 14: He's a pepau You.
- 49:35Speaker 8: Are out of your mind.
- 49:37Speaker 12: Man.
- 49:37Speaker 8: But but listen to me, Dale, listen to what I'm
- 49:39Speaker 8: gonna You understand how serious it is. I have to
- 49:42Speaker 8: keep them frozen. That's the reason why I'm calling you.
- 49:45Speaker 8: I mean, your help man.
- 49:47Speaker 14: Yeah, I understand that.
- 49:48Speaker 8: Look, if you want to, I'll have you come in.
- 49:50Speaker 14: Get buy your own freezer. You can put your own
- 49:52Speaker 14: bodies in your own freezer. How much fuss to show
- 49:55Speaker 14: off my shoulder room with frozen bodies in the freezer?
- 49:59Speaker 8: But just just don't just don't show that one for
- 50:01Speaker 8: a couple of days. You know what I'm saying. Just
- 50:03Speaker 8: don't show it, or we'll just you know what, you
- 50:05Speaker 8: know here we could do. We could put the bodies
- 50:07Speaker 8: in there, just cover them up and people don't want
- 50:09Speaker 8: to know what it is.
- 50:11Speaker 14: Yeah, and then I get a buyer that comes in
- 50:12Speaker 14: and the cover falls off it, and I got a
- 50:14Speaker 14: broken dead body in my freezer? Is that even legal?
- 50:17Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Man.
- 50:18Speaker 8: All I'm saying is, here's the deal man, you can't
- 50:22Speaker 8: highly recommend it. They told me that you will probably
- 50:24Speaker 8: show me so love. I'm actually, you know, getting ready
- 50:27Speaker 8: to load up and come your way.
- 50:29Speaker 14: Dude, you keep those dead bodies away from my store.
- 50:33Speaker 14: I'm telling you right now. I can't hook you up
- 50:36Speaker 14: on this one, all right.
- 50:37Speaker 8: I just can't do it, okay, But we shouldn't load
- 50:40Speaker 8: up and come that weight though. Man. So you know
- 50:42Speaker 8: what I'm saying. I mean, what am I supposed to do?
- 50:46Speaker 14: I have no you know what you want to come
- 50:48Speaker 14: talk to me. You want to buy a freezer for yourself,
- 50:51Speaker 14: and you want to freeze your dead bodies on your own.
- 50:53Speaker 8: I don't care.
- 50:53Speaker 14: I'll tell you a freezer. I got no problem with
- 50:56Speaker 14: telling you a freezer. But you're not bringing the bodies here.
- 50:58Speaker 14: It's just not happening.
- 51:00Speaker 8: So if Alonzo, if Alonzo calls you and green lights it,
- 51:05Speaker 8: is it, okay? Then I highly down.
- 51:09Speaker 14: Alonzo's gonna call me and tell me to put tree
- 51:11Speaker 14: at the body and wait on our showroom for a freezer.
- 51:15Speaker 8: I made out that, okay, Okay, but but, but guess
- 51:19Speaker 8: what Alonzo told me?
- 51:22Speaker 14: What are the lines I'm telling you?
- 51:24Speaker 8: Alonzo told me to give you a call. He told
- 51:27Speaker 8: me to give you a foot phone call. This is
- 51:29Speaker 8: not from the Steve Hawfin Morning.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Come on, Are you serious?
- 51:35Speaker 8: Yes? Uh, yad a.
- 51:39Speaker 14: Bob, I'm having my chatter.

- 51:47Speaker 8: got franked by your GM baby, that's what's happening right here.
- 51:53Speaker 8: All right, man, give me one more thing. You gotta
- 51:55Speaker 8: tell me.
- 51:55Speaker 2: This is right here.
- 51:56Speaker 8: Deal. What is the baddest that I'm talking about, the
- 51:58Speaker 8: baddest radio sh in the land.

- 52:13Speaker 12: Hey, we got to put a body somewhere. We need
- 52:15Speaker 12: a freeze. You see what I'm saying. Come on, let
- 52:17Speaker 12: me you know what I needed for. Should not be
- 52:21Speaker 12: your concern. That's the number one concern.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Number Where else am I gonna put about it?
- 52:29Speaker 10: Nobody will ask questions.
- 52:30Speaker 12: That's not the concern. I'll get your freezer back. But
- 52:33Speaker 12: just let me borrow freezer momentarily. That's all I'm asking.
- 52:35Speaker 12: It's not This isn't difficult.

- 54:12Speaker 2: We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry LETTA.
- 54:15Speaker 11: Thank you nephew. Subject Why does my husband go out
- 54:19Speaker 11: without me? Dear Stephen Shirley. My husband and I decided
- 54:23Speaker 11: early against having children. We have a great social life
- 54:26Speaker 11: and our house is still the hangout spot for our friends.
- 54:30Speaker 11: He's sixty one and I'm fifty nine, and we have
- 54:33Speaker 11: made the marriage work for twenty seven years. Last year
- 54:36Speaker 11: I found out he was cheating. His lover kept calling
- 54:40Speaker 11: his phone over and over, so I told him to
- 54:42Speaker 11: handle it. He told me that he handled it. I
- 54:45Speaker 11: decided not to stress about it because there was nothing
- 54:48Speaker 11: I could do to stop him from cheating, and I
- 54:50Speaker 11: was not ready to leave him and be alone, so
- 54:53Speaker 11: I didn't ask any questions. He did all he could
- 54:56Speaker 11: to show me how remorseful he was for cheating, and
- 54:59Speaker 11: I I was just happy that our friends didn't find out,
- 55:02Speaker 11: so I didn't have to deal with the embarrassment and stress.
- 55:05Speaker 11: But my girlfriends knew about it all along and didn't
- 55:08Speaker 11: say a word until recently. We had a kickback at
- 55:11Speaker 11: the house and a group of my girls were there.
- 55:14Speaker 11: When my husband left to buy more ice. They cornered me.
- 55:18Speaker 11: One of my closest friends asked why my husband is
- 55:21Speaker 11: always going out without me. I asked why she was
- 55:24Speaker 11: asking me that in front of everyone, and I assured
- 55:26Speaker 11: her that my husband is always home. The other lady said,
- 55:30Speaker 11: they know for a fact that's not true. They told
- 55:33Speaker 11: me that my husband has been sleeping with the lady
- 55:35Speaker 11: that lives behind us for over a year, and he
- 55:38Speaker 11: gets away with it because I let him. They tried
- 55:41Speaker 11: to tell me about the woman, but I stopped them.
- 55:43Speaker 11: I really don't care about her. I'm more upset than
- 55:46Speaker 11: my friends now know what's up. I'm still not prepared
- 55:50Speaker 11: to leave my comfortable life with my husband, but I'm
- 55:53Speaker 11: concerned about how people perceive me. Should I have some
- 55:57Speaker 11: dignity and finally confront my husband, Well, I don't think
- 56:03Speaker 11: this is really about dignity at this point, because if
- 56:06Speaker 11: it was about dignity, you wouldn't be so okay with
- 56:10Speaker 11: your husband's cheating. I mean, you wouldn't be so worried
- 56:13Speaker 11: about what your girlfriends are saying. You would be more
- 56:15Speaker 11: concerned about what your husband is doing. He's cheating and
- 56:20Speaker 11: humiliating you, but you say you don't care, and you're
- 56:24Speaker 11: willing to stay in this marriage, cheating and all as
- 56:26Speaker 11: long as you say face with your friends, that's what's
- 56:30Speaker 11: important to you. So you've made your choice as far
- 56:33Speaker 11: as that's concerned, and the winner is your husband and
- 56:37Speaker 11: his cheating apparently, and your comfortable life with him. So
- 56:41Speaker 11: if that's what it is, why don't you stand on
- 56:43Speaker 11: that and let your nosy girlfriends know how you feel.
- 56:48Speaker 11: Tell them to stay out of your business because you
- 56:52Speaker 11: are staying with your husband and your nice, comfortable life
- 56:55Speaker 11: with your husband. But now, if it truly is dignity
- 56:59Speaker 11: you want that you're concerned about, then stop listening to
- 57:02Speaker 11: your girlfriends, and yes, do confront your husband and try
- 57:06Speaker 11: to straighten this mess out.
- 57:08Speaker 7: Steve uh She said that her husband and I decided
- 57:13Speaker 7: early against having children.
- 57:16Speaker 2: Okay, what that got to do with any damn thing.
- 57:19Speaker 2: See just how I know now that this lady finn
- 57:21Speaker 2: to tell a story that's gonna be a little off.
- 57:25Speaker 7: Because I kept waiting on this to come into the
- 57:28Speaker 7: letter and it never did. She opens it with this,
- 57:31Speaker 7: Shirley Stephen, Shirley, my husband. I decided early against having children. Okay,
- 57:41Speaker 7: we have a great social life and our house is
- 57:44Speaker 7: still to hang out spot for our friends. He's sixty one,
- 57:47Speaker 7: I'm fifty nine. Okay, we've had a major marriage work
- 57:52Speaker 7: for twenty seven years. Then she said, last year I
- 57:55Speaker 7: found out he was cheating because his lover kept calling
- 57:57Speaker 7: his phone so I over and over.
- 57:59Speaker 2: So I told him to handle it. He told me
- 58:03Speaker 2: he handled it.
- 58:04Speaker 7: I decided not to stress about it because there was
- 58:06Speaker 7: nothing I could do to stop him from cheating, and
- 58:09Speaker 7: I wasn't ready to leave him and be alone.
- 58:11Speaker 2: So I ain't asked no question, what?
- 58:15Speaker 8: What? What?
- 58:16Speaker 7: Where his wife at? Who is this wife right here?
- 58:25Speaker 7: Let me read this again so you can understand the
- 58:28Speaker 7: depth of my concern. Last year I found out he
- 58:32Speaker 7: was cheating. His lover kept calling his phone over and over,
- 58:35Speaker 7: so I told him to handle it. He told me
- 58:37Speaker 7: he handled it. I decided not to stress it but
- 58:40Speaker 7: gout it about it because there was nothing I could
- 58:41Speaker 7: do to stop him from cheating, and I.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Was not ready to leave him and be alone. So
- 58:45Speaker 2: I ain't ask any questions.
- 58:46Speaker 8: What? What? What?
- 58:51Speaker 7: What?
- 58:52Speaker 8: What?
- 58:53Speaker 2: Woman?
- 58:54Speaker 8: What?
- 58:55Speaker 2: Black woman?
- 58:56Speaker 8: What?
- 58:57Speaker 2: Woman? Who do this?
- 59:03Speaker 7: I'm concerned. I told him to handle it. He told
- 59:07Speaker 7: me he did that was it? Wait a minute, if
- 59:12Speaker 7: you get caught cheating, your wife tell.
- 59:15Speaker 10: You the handle it?
- 59:17Speaker 2: You say I did, and she ain't want to.
- 59:20Speaker 7: Ask you no more questions about it. Boy, if that's
- 59:25Speaker 7: how it went, do you know cheating would increase by
- 59:34Speaker 7: eighty seven percent. I wasn't ready to leave him and
- 59:41Speaker 7: be alone, so I ain't asked no questions. He did
- 59:43Speaker 7: all he could to show me how remorseful he was
- 59:46Speaker 7: for cheating. Why you ain't asking no questions? How much
- 59:49Speaker 7: remorse he got to show? If you ain't asking me
- 59:52Speaker 7: no questions?
- 59:53Speaker 2: What all did he do? I handle it? I was
- 59:59Speaker 2: just happy that our friends didn't find out? What that's
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: all your friends see?
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: This is where now see this, This is where you're
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: more concerned about your image than reality. I'm just happy
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: my girlfriends but and so I didn't have to deal
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: with the embarrassment and stressing my girlfriends found out then,
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: she said, but my girlfriends knew about it all along
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: and didn't say a word until recently.
- 1:00:26Speaker 11: When we come back, hang on, Steve, Yeah, we'll have
- 1:00:31Speaker 11: part two of your response, Steve coming up at twenty
- 1:00:33Speaker 11: three minutes after today's Strawberry letter subject why does my
- 1:00:36Speaker 11: husband go out without me?
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: hard morning show. All right, Steve, come on.
- 1:00:45Speaker 11: Let's recap today's Strawberry letter subject why does my husband
- 1:00:48Speaker 11: go out without me?
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: I knew this letter was going to be full of
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: an incomplete statement when she said, Steven Shirley, my husband
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: and I decided early against having children. All right, that
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: comes into play in this letter nowhere. So this was
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: to throw us off. You know when a person makes
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: a statement like that is to throw you off. So
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: you so you be digging for that detail, so you
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: don't ask for no more details. Because she good at
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: not asking questions, so she don't want us to ask
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: none either, So she tried to throw us off with
- 1:01:20Speaker 7: these bread crumbs to lead us down this Donnie buck Prath,
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: Donny Brook Path about these me and my husband and
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: I decided not to have children. They've been married twenty
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: seven years. They got a lot of friends and they
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: Kyle Sais still to hang out.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: And I found out last year that he was cheating
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: on me because his lover kept calling his phone. I
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: told him to handle it. He told me he handled it.
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: So I decided not to stress about it because there
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: was nothing I could do to stop him from cheating,
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: and I was not ready to leave him and be alone.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: So I ain't asked no question. This is the greatest
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: woman I've ever met. This woman is I just I
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: don't know where she is.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: She's raped, she's rap She's like finding the world's biggest
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: diamond at Costco, a rare jewel.
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: It's like, I'm telling you, man, it's like your chances
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: of finding baby all at Costco, because the CEO Costco
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: came out and said they don't even sell baby.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Or bunny bull right.
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: So I didn't want to leave him be alone, so
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: I ain't asked no questions. He did all he could
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: to show me how remorseful he was for cheating. I
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: was just happy that our friends didn't find out, so
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: I didn't have to deal with the embarrassment and stress.
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: But my girlfriends knew about it all along and ain't
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: saying a word Interesa.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Okay, this is how she found out. We had a
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: kick back at the house. Okay, right there, that's all
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: that's hey, listen to me. Don't nobody do that no more?
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Them is out of style.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: That's what they call it. Kickback. That's what they call
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: oh they do?
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: Oh okay, well I ain't know that because ain't none
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: of them living with me no more? Because I understand
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: kick back and drink them all. You're gonna drink at
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: my house?
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: You have it at your own house.
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: Now, My kids when they have it at their house now,
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: they hide and licking everything something.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:03:28Speaker 13: Uh?
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: They recently told me that they had a kickback at
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: your house and your girls was there. Then my husband
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: left to buy more ice, they cornered me. One of
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: my closest friends asked me, why is my husband always
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: going out with me? I asked her why.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: She asked me that in front of everybody, and I
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: assured her that my husband was always home.
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: Well that's two lives right there. You assured them that
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: your husband is always home. Hard to cheat, and.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Then they want to know why your husband always going
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: home without you?
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: You know how hard it is to cheat if you
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: got to. If you're trying to make you stay in
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: the car, you can't. Lady, why is your husband always
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: leaving without me? Cause you can't cheat?
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: And you in the car.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Because y'all ain't gonna stay in the car.
- 1:04:18Speaker 7: Whose house is this? I'm just running in my boy's house.
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: I'm just gonna be here for three hours. Man, he
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: done fix me something to eat.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna go in in here and eat and then
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna take a shower, and then I'll come back
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: out and get you. Please.
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: I told him my husband's always home. Then the other
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: lady said, they know for a fact that's not true.
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: They told me that my husband has been sleeping with
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: a lady that lives behind us. See that's really convenient
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: because you can. You can park your car in your driveway,
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: go in the garage, cut a hole in the back
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: of the garage, climb the fence, and you that because
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: I'm gonna have a hole in the back.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: Of this garage.
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: If she stayed right back there and for over a
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: year and he gets away with it because I let him.
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: They tried to tell me about the woman, but I
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: stopped him. I really don't care about her. I am
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: more upset than my friends.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Know what's up.
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: I'm still not prepared to leave my comfortable life with
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: my husband. But I'm concerned about how people perceive me.
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: Should I have some dignity? And finally, confront my husband.
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: I have an answer to all of these questions right here.
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: I'm more upset than my friends.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: Know what's up. I'm not prepared to leave my comfortable
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: life with my husband. Now.
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: It's because listen to this, y'all. You prefer a lifestyle
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: over your style of life. Play on work words. You
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: prefer a lifestyle over a style of life. You would
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: rather sit there and be sick to your stomach and
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: act like something ain't happening so you can have a few,
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: uh you know, you know, comforts of home. But I
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: am concerned about how people perceive me. Should I have
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: some dignity? And finally, here's how you get dignity. Tell
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: your girl friends that you're cheating to.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Girl what, that's a whole no conversation, and then at
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: the next kickback, invite a dude over.
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: Ain't nobody seen before me? I like it high male escort, big,
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: strong looking, big strapping boy.
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: You can comment on today's Strawberry Letter.

- 1:10:06Speaker 4: You're listening Morning show. This one's from Jesse and Dayton.
- 1:10:13Speaker 11: Jesse says, I'm going through a divorce and my husband
- 1:10:17Speaker 11: and I live in the same house. I was asleep
- 1:10:20Speaker 11: in our primary room and he came in and tried
- 1:10:22Speaker 11: to have sex with me one night. I was terrified
- 1:10:25Speaker 11: because we haven't been in the same bed in over
- 1:10:27Speaker 11: a year. I put him out, and I've started locking
- 1:10:30Speaker 11: the door every night and propping a chair under it.
- 1:10:33Speaker 11: I made it clear that I don't want him in
- 1:10:35Speaker 11: any kind of way and he should move out. Why
- 1:10:38Speaker 11: would a man stay where he's not wanted?
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: Why not leave?
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: I don't know. I will every divorce I've had, I've
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: been so far. I've been as far away as I can.
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: Okay, all right, we have time.
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: I don't know who wants to do that misery. Yeah,
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: the Bible say was better to live in the corner
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: of a rooftopping inside a house with a crawl some woman.
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: I've wanted to leave my house and wasn't even getting
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: to do.
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: You know what about you?
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: We're moving on now.
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: There's want some space, man, Damn, everybody wants some me
- 1:11:23Speaker 7: time to be by yourself.
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, we have time for another. We're getting
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: off that subject, Steve.
- 1:11:29Speaker 11: This is from Cliff to Cliff and ladera latera I
- 1:11:33Speaker 11: told my daughter's mother that I'm moving to Vegas at
- 1:11:36Speaker 11: the beginning of the year, and she told me that
- 1:11:39Speaker 11: she wants to come with me and bring her twelve
- 1:11:41Speaker 11: year old daughter. I was caught off guard and having
- 1:11:43Speaker 11: told her that I'm expecting a child with another woman
- 1:11:46Speaker 11: that lives in Vegas. So how do I tell my
- 1:11:49Speaker 11: first child's mom that they're not going.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Whoa?
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you some are they divorced that
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: if they don't.
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: Baby mama situation?
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: That's all?
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: Yeah, Oh okay, okay.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: So he's still kicking.
- 1:12:06Speaker 10: It with him.
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: I told my well, there's still I guess co parenting
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: the twelve year old.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Your location dog to say you ain't going to be.
- 1:12:17Speaker 8: What is that?
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: She's gonna want to go wherever he goes.
- 1:12:22Speaker 7: Say you're going to Montana. Don't nobody want to go there?
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: You ever heard anybody that, Yeah, I'm going to Montana.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: Isn't that where Yellowstone is?
- 1:12:33Speaker 10: Yellowstone?
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: Yes, don't nobody go down?
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: You know?
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: You hear some people go going to Wyoming?
