- 2:00Speaker 1: Uh huh, I show will good morning everybody you are
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on, deeed me now, one
- 2:09Speaker 1: and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show, I said
- 2:12Speaker 1: every day because God been good to me. God has
- 2:15Speaker 1: done some things in my life. Thats truly been just amazing,
- 2:19Speaker 1: really amazing. Ain't even really the word. They don't really
- 2:22Speaker 1: have a word for what He's done for me. I'm
- 2:24Speaker 1: just out of superlatives. That's why I said every day.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show because God is in
- 2:30Speaker 1: a blessing business. Yeah, yes, God, God can help you
- 2:34Speaker 1: turn your life around. Did you hear me? God can
- 2:37Speaker 1: help you turn your life around. Whatever you're going through.
- 2:41Speaker 1: God has an answer for see, but it's the going
- 2:44Speaker 1: through that gets us though, ain't it. Because I was
- 2:47Speaker 1: having a moment yesterday and I set my wife down
- 2:49Speaker 1: and said, back, I just need to talk to him
- 2:52Speaker 1: going through a little bit right now. I just wanted
- 2:54Speaker 1: to share what I'm a little down right now. My
- 2:57Speaker 1: wife reminded me, she just reminds mean to see this
- 3:00Speaker 1: what a man. That's what a good mate does. A
- 3:05Speaker 1: good mate reminds you just of things that sometimes you
- 3:09Speaker 1: forget when you get off track. Because you know, I
- 3:13Speaker 1: I consider myself a motivational type person. I I try
- 3:17Speaker 1: to listen to people and then give them something I've
- 3:20Speaker 1: learned along the way on this journey I've been on.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I try to give a person a takeaway. But even
- 3:25Speaker 1: being that person, sometimes I get off track myself. I
- 3:29Speaker 1: get a little a little low sometimes, you know, I
- 3:32Speaker 1: get a little down. Sometimes I sometimes I forget some
- 3:36Speaker 1: of the stuff I say. And ain't that I forget it.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I guess I just get caught up in the grind
- 3:42Speaker 1: of doing it. And sometimes I get get a little
- 3:46Speaker 1: off course and I forget some of the things that
- 3:49Speaker 1: my wife or a mate is can be good for
- 3:52Speaker 1: you to remind you, And she just says, Steve, God
- 3:56Speaker 1: got us. She said, have you ever noticed that every
- 4:00Speaker 1: time you get in a spot? And she say, and
- 4:03Speaker 1: I know how you must feel, cause you're out here
- 4:05Speaker 1: working and and then you keep turning around and and
- 4:08Speaker 1: and and and and old stuff keep popping up, and
- 4:12Speaker 1: you get a call from your accounting and hit this
- 4:14Speaker 1: then went wrong? And not then when you steady trying
- 4:16Speaker 1: to fix it. But you steady going wild? Man? What
- 4:19Speaker 1: does it? She say? But you ever noticed He always always,
- 4:23Speaker 1: no matter what, provide a way. And he ain't never
- 4:27Speaker 1: too late. Oh you might be going the deadline is approaching.
- 4:30Speaker 1: The deadline can come and pass. But then they have
- 4:34Speaker 1: a grace period for you. And then sometimes man, it's
- 4:37Speaker 1: just you go down there after the grace period and
- 4:40Speaker 1: they take the payment anywhere and you're good anyway. But see,
- 4:43Speaker 1: ain't that God bringing you through it. It may not
- 4:46Speaker 1: be when you want it, but he right on time.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Jazz before you get put out, jazz, before they turn.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Maybe they cut the lights off, but you get it
- 4:54Speaker 1: back on. Just folk company come or just before the weekend.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Get here. See he always comes through for you. And
- 5:03Speaker 1: she had to remind me of that what you're going
- 5:05Speaker 1: through is necessary. Man, stop, I don't wan't no more
- 5:09Speaker 1: this though none of us won't no more. Look. Look,
- 5:12Speaker 1: circumstances and hardships and pitfalls are always untimely. They ain't ever,
- 5:18Speaker 1: it ain't ever good time for stuff to go wrong?
- 5:21Speaker 1: When when? When? When? Is that? It's how you look
- 5:25Speaker 1: at it, if you keep the law of attraction and play,
- 5:29Speaker 1: if you keep believing that that's what that He gonna
- 5:32Speaker 1: see you through this just like he do when you
- 5:34Speaker 1: don't believe it, That's what the old part is though,
- 5:38Speaker 1: ain't it ain't. God brought you through even when you
- 5:41Speaker 1: didn't really have a faith to say he was gonna
- 5:44Speaker 1: bring you through. But because of grace and mercy he
- 5:47Speaker 1: brought you through anyway. But because you forgot to thank him,
- 5:51Speaker 1: or you didn't pay attention through to come through, you
- 5:54Speaker 1: just was telling people, Oh, man, if you'd have seen,
- 5:56Speaker 1: it was so jacked up, man, I was so turned up.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I ain't know what I was donna do. Almost got
- 6:02Speaker 1: put out. I was gonna see keyword almost and you
- 6:05Speaker 1: forgot that part right there, and then I was it
- 6:07Speaker 1: looked like I want man and that, and seemed like
- 6:10Speaker 1: every month I go through the same thing and then down. Yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 1: then somebody ought to just say did you pay it? Yeah?
- 6:16Speaker 1: I paid it? Did you get put out? Now? I'm cool?
- 6:19Speaker 1: See something. See you need somebody on your shoulder to
- 6:21Speaker 1: say that to you, and then you need somebody on
- 6:24Speaker 1: to come right behind him and go. Man. Ain't God good? Really? Man?
- 6:29Speaker 1: That that's how this works. See you, you keep getting
- 6:33Speaker 1: in situations, but he keeps getting you out. Now, if
- 6:36Speaker 1: you jump, look, listen to me. Hold on. Let's say
- 6:39Speaker 1: you're the frying pan and the skillet and all is
- 6:43Speaker 1: up and you and that frying and you uncomfortable being
- 6:46Speaker 1: fried God somehow. Or let's just say you managed to
- 6:51Speaker 1: get out of the hot grease in the frying pan
- 6:55Speaker 1: and you're standing that next to the skillet looking at
- 6:58Speaker 1: the fire continue to heat the gree you get out,
- 7:01Speaker 1: and then for some unexplainable reason, you dives right on
- 7:06Speaker 1: back in there. Ain't that how we usually do it.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I'm just asking you, God, get you away from the
- 7:14Speaker 1: man you've been asking to get away from. Then you
- 7:17Speaker 1: go right back over there and start seeing him again. God,
- 7:21Speaker 1: get you away from the woman that you need to
- 7:23Speaker 1: get away from. That's been the mess up your life.
- 7:26Speaker 1: You go right back over there and start seeing huggin.
- 7:30Speaker 1: God get you out the gang situation, move you across town.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You go right back over there and start hanging out.
- 7:37Speaker 1: God give you mess around it. God's through a blessing,
- 7:41Speaker 1: gets you incarcerated so you can pull you out the
- 7:45Speaker 1: drugs scene because you're gonna get clean in jail for
- 7:48Speaker 1: the most part. Pulls you out the gang scene so
- 7:51Speaker 1: you could be away from that neighborhood there. As soon
- 7:55Speaker 1: as you get out of jail, you go right back
- 7:58Speaker 1: over there to the drugs and you go right back
- 8:01Speaker 1: over that to them same fools that got your head
- 8:05Speaker 1: twisted up and got you locked up in the first place.
- 8:08Speaker 1: It's amazing how many times God get us out the
- 8:11Speaker 1: fire and we walked right back in there. Ain't it amazing? Man?
- 8:16Speaker 1: I mean, really, man, see this high break life down
- 8:19Speaker 1: for me so I don't get over here stuck on,
- 8:22Speaker 1: stupid with myself and then get to doing something ignorant
- 8:24Speaker 1: like blaming God, when really, man, God has given us,
- 8:28Speaker 1: as human beings, the power of decision, and we all
- 8:31Speaker 1: make decisions. How many times, man, see, sometimes it's a
- 8:34Speaker 1: blessing and getting locked up you can ask a lot
- 8:37Speaker 1: of cats. I know, man to tell you, it was
- 8:38Speaker 1: a blessing for me, man, because I was just headed
- 8:40Speaker 1: the wrong way, steady, but he locked me up. Setting
- 8:44Speaker 1: me down made me miss my family, miss being out here,
- 8:48Speaker 1: being a free man, made me realize that my family
- 8:51Speaker 1: was important. Made me. Man, really see this girl for
- 8:54Speaker 1: what she was. When I get out, Man, I'm on
- 8:56Speaker 1: a straight and narrow Well then when you get out, though,
- 9:00Speaker 1: See you can't be talking about no. Oh man, I
- 9:02Speaker 1: can't find no job. Now I'm gonna go and do
- 9:05Speaker 1: what I gotta do. No, no, no, no, no, partner,
- 9:07Speaker 1: you got to do now what you're supposed to do.
- 9:10Speaker 1: See that don't do what you gotta do got you
- 9:12Speaker 1: in trouble in the first place. See everybody, see see
- 9:15Speaker 1: the hood got a lot of ignorant rules. We didn't
- 9:18Speaker 1: create it. I gotta do what I gotta do. I
- 9:19Speaker 1: gotta feed my family. Well, the only reason you gotta
- 9:22Speaker 1: do what you gotta do is because you didn't do
- 9:24Speaker 1: what you were supposed to do. So if you just
- 9:26Speaker 1: went on to school like your mama kept telling you.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Oh man, I was watching forty eight Hours yesterday and
- 9:32Speaker 1: the dude named Nesto was on there and Nesto Latino
- 9:36Speaker 1: Do said, Man, my mother told me quit hanging with
- 9:38Speaker 1: these guys. They were going nothing but trouble. I should
- 9:41Speaker 1: have listened to her. He doing thirty years right now.
- 9:45Speaker 1: You can't blame God. That's why I talked to myself
- 9:49Speaker 1: this way, so I don't get stupid and start shifting
- 9:51Speaker 1: to blame the wrong way when it's really on me.
- 9:54Speaker 1: How many times has God got you out of something
- 9:57Speaker 1: and you walk right back into it? Man, why don't
- 10:00Speaker 1: you take these blessings God give you and going about
- 10:03Speaker 1: your business? That be the best way to do it.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Don't you think That's what I think? So I thank
- 10:10Speaker 1: God my wife for reminding me that God got us anyway,
- 10:14Speaker 1: that God gonna pull you through anyway that. Have you noticed, Steve,
- 10:18Speaker 1: we ain't lost a beat. Oh. I know it's hard
- 10:21Speaker 1: out here, but really you ain't lost to beat. You're
- 10:23Speaker 1: still moving forward. You're still dressing nice, you still look
- 10:28Speaker 1: good when you come into that job. Everybody don't got
- 10:31Speaker 1: to know you. Your house is in bad shaping. All
- 10:34Speaker 1: that God got you, man, if you just hold your
- 10:37Speaker 1: head up, man, quit complaining all the time about what
- 10:40Speaker 1: you ain't got, and as in words of my daddy's
- 10:43Speaker 1: slick Harvey, stop talking about what you ain't got and
- 10:45Speaker 1: take a good look at what you do. God, that's
- 10:48Speaker 1: improper grammar, but that always stuck with me and maybe
- 10:51Speaker 1: it'll stick with you. Quit talking about and look at
- 10:53Speaker 1: what you ain't got to take a good look at
- 10:55Speaker 1: what you do. You're ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
- 11:03Speaker 1: now have your attention. Please. This fight will be dedicated
- 11:07Speaker 1: to all those who lost money on the McGregor fight.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Yea the show. Yeah. Well, before we do that though,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and get into that, we want to say that our
- 11:21Speaker 1: hearts and prayers go out to all of the people
- 11:24Speaker 1: of Houston, even though we're not on the radio in
- 11:26Speaker 1: Houston and they can't hear us, we love them, and
- 11:29Speaker 1: we're pulling for and we're praying for and we're doing
- 11:31Speaker 1: some things. Kevin Hard is issue to challenge. I accepted
- 11:35Speaker 1: the challenge, and he's asking for all the celebrity fears
- 11:39Speaker 1: that donate twenty five dollars, probably showing my wife to
- 11:43Speaker 1: Instagram thing. I just got it, So we're gonna do that.
- 11:46Speaker 1: He asked us to challenge other people. Uh, that's not
- 11:49Speaker 1: my way of doing it. But how will call the
- 11:53Speaker 1: couple that I do know. I just don't like basing
- 11:56Speaker 1: nobody out. I don't know because you you really don't
- 12:00Speaker 1: know their reality, you know what I mean? Now, I
- 12:02Speaker 1: know Tyler period got it. So we're just gonna just
- 12:05Speaker 1: said I'm gone. Yeah. Well, I can't say that because
- 12:12Speaker 1: me over there we were cool. But I can't put
- 12:14Speaker 1: out there like that. You know. Plus, last time somebody
- 12:17Speaker 1: says something about over and Tyler, I'm not going to
- 12:25Speaker 1: use that. No, I'm not gonna use that comedy matter.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I'm not gonna use now one a matter of fact,
- 12:32Speaker 1: I retract that I fight last. Me and Tyler ain't
- 12:37Speaker 1: got no problems. But Carl is off today dealing with
- 12:41Speaker 1: the flood. She's kind of in an affected area. Tommy's
- 12:44Speaker 1: here today, of course, Tommy went home, Tommy, Yeah, to
- 12:49Speaker 1: take care of business. So Tommy, I'll be talking to

- 14:15Speaker 1: He put me on tour with the Old Jas. I
- 14:17Speaker 1: headlined the Old Jays And I said, man, I can't
- 14:20Speaker 1: headline the old Jas. He said, you headline on Jay
- 14:23Speaker 1: and all us Cleveland boys to dude, like, I tell

- 15:56Speaker 1: dude that's ran chasing JP Morgan. I just hugged Steve.
- 16:08Speaker 1: What was that for? Because because you don't know what
- 16:11Speaker 1: you mean. That's what you mean to know. I ain't
- 16:18Speaker 1: got the most in there. I got in there. I
- 16:21Speaker 1: need to hook. I do need a hook. All right,
- 16:27Speaker 1: here we go from Junior. Yeah, come on, Junior, Come on.
- 16:32Speaker 1: First of all, what was it? What was it like?
- 16:34Speaker 1: First of all, I have got to work hold stop
- 16:37Speaker 1: being shocked about everything. I have got to get that first,
- 16:42Speaker 1: because because when you go with Uncle Steve, you realize
- 16:46Speaker 1: that he is way richer than what you really thought.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Like you got a number and then he's passed down.
- 16:53Speaker 1: It's a whole new numb man. We go. Man, I
- 16:55Speaker 1: didn't even know that was this place at the MGM
- 16:58Speaker 1: where he staying. Because in one minute I was talking
- 17:01Speaker 1: and we was on the strip and I can see
- 17:03Speaker 1: the love soil and I can see Mandalade Bay. Yeah.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Then we pulled around somewhere and all of a sudden,
- 17:11Speaker 1: it's a whole new world. We we outside, but were outside.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I can't explain it to you. I see the sign,
- 17:20Speaker 1: but we outside though, but we were not really outside,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and nobody ever seen us. There's no there's no sign, No,
- 17:29Speaker 1: it's no nothing. And you have to be buzzed in
- 17:32Speaker 1: by gate in the car and then gate opens it
- 17:36Speaker 1: and you pull in, and then after that you don't
- 17:38Speaker 1: see anybody after that. Wow, and you you just in
- 17:44Speaker 1: Italy and it's completely outdoors, but it's completely in closed.
- 17:51Speaker 1: It's like a compound. It's it's any yeah, yeah, but
- 17:56Speaker 1: it's a constant. I don't know what it cost to
- 17:58Speaker 1: state that, j but I know my head. No business
- 18:01Speaker 1: being back there. I can say that much of a show. Well,
- 18:04Speaker 1: what else did you You can't book a rule. You
- 18:08Speaker 1: can't go online and get the room. You can't buy
- 18:11Speaker 1: the room. I can't how do you book? Can't tell
- 18:16Speaker 1: us how you getting there? Because you can't get that.
- 18:18Speaker 1: They have to call you. You have to be invited
- 18:22Speaker 1: to stay there. That's what Junior. You were hanging out
- 18:26Speaker 1: with the real ball the whole weekend. Were hanging out
- 18:31Speaker 1: with Being. I ain't even know it. I'm talked to
- 18:33Speaker 1: him like they just you know, six thousands and years
- 18:37Speaker 1: I have new conversation with Come on, right, but what
- 18:41Speaker 1: did you talk to Being about? We talked about you
- 18:47Speaker 1: know that regular stuff. You want to drink? I want
- 18:49Speaker 1: to drink? You want you as no being there? If
- 18:52Speaker 1: he won't know drink, don't you got food on your shirt.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You don't slapping food off your shirt? So did you?
- 18:58Speaker 1: Did you? Did you see anybody that latest? Man? You
- 19:01Speaker 1: know my whole statement. This woman came up to me
- 19:04Speaker 1: and started talking to me. I said, excuse me, could
- 19:06Speaker 1: you please stop talking to me? I said, because I'm
- 19:08Speaker 1: going to heaven and I just walked away, did not, Junior,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I just walked away from it. I said, excuse me, man,
- 19:18Speaker 1: excuse me, no disrespect. Would you please stop talking to
- 19:20Speaker 1: me because I'm going to help, Thank you very much.
- 19:24Speaker 1: The waitress that kept five times, just waitress came with
- 19:27Speaker 1: me with nothing on, hardly just to just please let
- 19:31Speaker 1: me do something for you because you've done very much
- 19:33Speaker 1: for me. Listen to me. Listen to me. I don't
- 19:36Speaker 1: want nothing. I want you to stop talking to me
- 19:40Speaker 1: because I am going to heaven. So this rich to
- 19:47Speaker 1: rich to he got it you're doing. He came up
- 19:50Speaker 1: to me. Said I gotta try that. He said, cause
- 19:54Speaker 1: I gotta tell you. Maybe that can stop me because
- 19:59Speaker 1: I'm losing my mind, family and everything. I said, I'm
- 20:06Speaker 1: going into heaven and walk away. I gotta try it,
- 20:10Speaker 1: he said, Steve watching, So I'm gonna try it. That
- 20:12Speaker 1: girl came to and said, can I help you? He said,
- 20:15Speaker 1: you sure can? Got everything. I said, you said you
- 20:22Speaker 1: was going to eight. Steve, I tried, man and you
- 20:26Speaker 1: can said it was funny. But how about this though,
- 20:31Speaker 1: how about Steve and Tyler Perry in hell playing they
- 20:38Speaker 1: too grown black men? And he'll playing Tyler come over,
- 20:41Speaker 1: Tyler said. Tyler picks his hand and snatches Steve fault man,
- 20:48Speaker 1: what the hell fight? I didn't know it was him.
- 20:54Speaker 1: It's not my fat him. Tyler solid, that's a big dude. Man.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Huh till me. What was you gonna ask? I was
- 21:04Speaker 1: gonna ask, is it more unknown rich people than it
- 21:10Speaker 1: is dot dot dot dot The people that make the
- 21:14Speaker 1: real money. You don't even know who they are. They
- 21:16Speaker 1: don't have a good thing, they don't have a note. No,
- 21:19Speaker 1: they look like the Going Grocer show. They look like
- 21:25Speaker 1: their shoes ain't got no name on it. The reason
- 21:30Speaker 1: the shoes don't handle, man, because most of my customers. Yeah,
- 21:33Speaker 1: I stopped. The guy said, my man, but you get
- 21:35Speaker 1: them shoes. They're customed. All you can do, all you
- 21:39Speaker 1: gotta do. Look at they watch and they shoes because
- 21:41Speaker 1: they're gonna have that on and it's gonna cost some
- 21:44Speaker 1: money that you really not familiar with. All Right, we
- 21:47Speaker 1: gotta go. We'll talk more about the fight as the
- 21:49Speaker 1: morning goes on, of course, but it's Monday and church
- 21:53Speaker 1: complaints are coming up. We'll be back at forty four
- 21:55Speaker 1: after you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Of course, today
- 22:00Speaker 1: is Monday, and um, you know you have a lot
- 22:03Speaker 1: of complaints going on. The reverless here and the deacon.
- 22:10Speaker 1: We were gracious fault zine art thine O. Huh. That's preaching, now,
- 22:27Speaker 1: that's what that is. Let's get these church complaints out
- 22:32Speaker 1: the way with the irrefutable deacon delf jail. All right,
- 22:39Speaker 1: pastor that I had a delay, don't don't, don't wear
- 22:43Speaker 1: it with it, ah, when you've got some issues here
- 22:47Speaker 1: passed the eye. Sister Doris Gene Lightfoot delivered her eighteenth
- 22:58Speaker 1: child in the choir stand doing her solo. We thought
- 23:03Speaker 1: she was holding a long note, but she was actually
- 23:07Speaker 1: given birth. She has destroyed two chairs and the carpet
- 23:11Speaker 1: and the choir stand. It's up to you if you
- 23:14Speaker 1: want to hold her accountable for the situation. No, we are.
- 23:21Speaker 1: We are on a special program with or Sister Lightfoot
- 23:26Speaker 1: or I have personally registered with the government and we
- 23:35Speaker 1: get four hundred and eighty six dollars per child. You
- 23:42Speaker 1: do the math on that, sister, or dollars for the
- 23:48Speaker 1: eighteen kids. This will be children child number nineteen. And
- 23:53Speaker 1: there's a special program government funding. We received eight thousand dollars,
- 23:58Speaker 1: eight thousand, seven hundred that for the eight dollars to
- 24:02Speaker 1: be exact from just a light foot. Now what that
- 24:07Speaker 1: means is with this new baby, we'll be receiving nine thousand,
- 24:12Speaker 1: two hundred and thirty four dollars from the government assistant
- 24:15Speaker 1: program for Way with Children. That we keep all eighteen
- 24:20Speaker 1: over here at the church, and we get a special
- 24:23Speaker 1: concept so she keep on her she won't. We got
- 24:28Speaker 1: nine thound two and vote company right now. We're not
- 24:31Speaker 1: gonna about the carpet. What we're gonna do is and
- 24:34Speaker 1: call Stanley Steamer. How they're gonna here and work with
- 24:38Speaker 1: the carpet best they can. And I don't know how
- 24:40Speaker 1: good they're good. He's getting up after Burke. That ain't
- 24:44Speaker 1: none of my beers that if it don't work, we're
- 24:46Speaker 1: gonna put a throw rug down now and keep on preaching.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Go ahead, deacon, all right past the let's see here,
- 24:53Speaker 1: Deacon Remus, we are Cocks who has a prosthetic leg
- 24:57Speaker 1: is asking for a loan. Ah. He has until Friday
- 25:01Speaker 1: to pay the balance on the leg. He owed seven
- 25:04Speaker 1: hun do the Renner led company uh is gonna come
- 25:08Speaker 1: in and get the leg by twelve noon Friday. So
- 25:12Speaker 1: it's your call, passing if you want to help him out. No,
- 25:14Speaker 1: we're not gonna do that. And not told brother reemas
- 25:17Speaker 1: will Cox should keep up on his leg payment. And
- 25:20Speaker 1: if he didn't want to do that, Brother Wilford works
- 25:23Speaker 1: down at home Depot and he said he could make
- 25:26Speaker 1: him a league out of a tub botful. Well, it
- 25:34Speaker 1: ain't gotta be a big league, he don't. He don't
- 25:38Speaker 1: wait that but tubofol with a shoe on it. All
- 25:41Speaker 1: the work pretty good, right pastor Now here's something you
- 25:49Speaker 1: need to really pay attention to. Sister the condo Mavo
- 25:53Speaker 1: has bounced the last Folk checks and she has written
- 25:56Speaker 1: to the check. Now brother Card saying to the treasure
- 26:00Speaker 1: wants to press charges on her. He has called the police.
- 26:03Speaker 1: They are coming this morning to get all the information.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Now they're gonna be picking her up at her job.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Did not be roots beauty's alone. Now that what is
- 26:11Speaker 1: that question in her fault Deacon, she wrote foulk bad
- 26:15Speaker 1: checks that has bounced and then has evidently upset brother
- 26:19Speaker 1: Kars anything. He was over the tragery, you know, over
- 26:22Speaker 1: the manner, and I he wants to press charges. They're
- 26:25Speaker 1: supposed to pick her up at her job today, but
- 26:27Speaker 1: you actually make the last call on it. I don't
- 26:30Speaker 1: think they can pick her up for the foul or
- 26:33Speaker 1: bounce chicks. That's just not good churching. We don't need
- 26:39Speaker 1: to do that right there, because she is in charge
- 26:43Speaker 1: of both baked sales. She fries all the chicken down
- 26:46Speaker 1: at the church and and she makes a pound kick
- 26:50Speaker 1: that's just unbelievable. A lot of those chicks bounced because
- 26:54Speaker 1: she's buying ingredients for cooking, and we was a little
- 26:59Speaker 1: short with the kicking money two weeks in the row
- 27:01Speaker 1: were probably called to or overdrawed. So we're gonna leave
- 27:05Speaker 1: that loan and tell that man to quit calling the
- 27:08Speaker 1: police on that. Samet know that to call that out
- 27:12Speaker 1: for I let him know that the police know cause
- 27:16Speaker 1: big Salmon them eats the chicken, and let Samine know
- 27:18Speaker 1: that that's the chicken that he comes by to get
- 27:21Speaker 1: locked up in the chickens over with sister Gertrude Chicken
- 27:25Speaker 1: ain't work. For everybody knows that that Gert from Girty
- 27:30Speaker 1: Show came front. She fried from Chicken laugh for the guard.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I thought it wouldn't meet Lott Chicken so hard he
- 27:41Speaker 1: couldn't believe it. I said, just keep I know you
- 27:47Speaker 1: may have been concerned yesterday the phone that kept ringing
- 27:50Speaker 1: in the sanctuary. Here's what's going on. Sister Alicia cart
- 27:54Speaker 1: Right just got button plants. The doctor supposedly accidentally laid
- 28:00Speaker 1: the still a county in plans on his cell phone. Uh,
- 28:05Speaker 1: and it's stuck to it. And when he sold her up,
- 28:08Speaker 1: he didn't realize the cell phone is actually in her.
- 28:12Speaker 1: But that's why the phone was ringing all through the service.
- 28:15Speaker 1: It's been said that they think his wife is the
- 28:18Speaker 1: one that's called it, but her ass is ringing. He's
- 28:23Speaker 1: asking for a thousand dollars up to another doctor to
- 28:26Speaker 1: get the phone removed. But he asked his ringing every
- 28:29Speaker 1: three minutes, Well, that ain't gonna happen, because what we're
- 28:33Speaker 1: gonna do is just weight on the battery to die.
- 28:36Speaker 1: And I'm here to show by next Sunday, we'll have
- 28:38Speaker 1: a nice quiet service. I was wondering what was that
- 28:42Speaker 1: little square when she walked by, she got a grade
- 28:47Speaker 1: and play. I couldn't figure out what the new square wold.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I like a squirrel on that thing look like glass? Hello, alright,
- 29:04Speaker 1: just f y I. Sister Marilyn dollar Right has written
- 29:08Speaker 1: a tell all books about the j p j J.
- 29:11Speaker 1: It's kind up They're going to Hell on a roller Coaster.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Sister Merlin dollar Right has written a tell all book
- 29:23Speaker 1: about the j p j J, The jack Pot of Driller.
- 29:27Speaker 1: It's titled They're going to Hell on a roller Coaster.
- 29:32Speaker 1: She supposedly has information on who's sleeping with who, and
- 29:35Speaker 1: who's stealing money, and something about you and sister Dorene Flanagan. Well,
- 29:42Speaker 1: then you tell sister Merlin that if that book come out,
- 29:48Speaker 1: the tell all ain't gonna just be in a book.
- 29:52Speaker 1: The pell all gonna be on the Steve Harvard Morning Shugar,
- 29:54Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell everybody I slept with her. Now
- 29:57Speaker 1: where we're at with that? All right? We gotta girl,
- 30:00Speaker 1: We gotta go coming up our national news. We'll be back.
- 30:12Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 30:16Speaker 1: today's top headlines are, of course, the Houston flooding. UM.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Just terrible, terrible, terrible. And I know we we said
- 30:25Speaker 1: this earlier that we are not on in Houston, but
- 30:28Speaker 1: a lot of our listeners have family in Houston. We
- 30:30Speaker 1: have people from Houston, Juniors from Houston, Carlos from Houston,
- 30:34Speaker 1: Tommy's from Houston. So if you watch the news, you
- 30:37Speaker 1: saw the images of the devastating flooding in Houston due
- 30:42Speaker 1: to Hurricane Harvey. UM. And as you know, of course
- 30:45Speaker 1: we're praying for Carlos. She's not here today, Tommy is here,
- 30:48Speaker 1: and of course Junior is here. We'll all have property.
- 30:50Speaker 1: You have friends and family down there. So again, if

- 30:56Speaker 1: text the word Harvey to nine zero nine nine zero
- 31:01Speaker 1: and you can make a ten dollar donation. Okay, and

- 31:39Speaker 1: you had to have forty five pieces of Church of
- 31:41Speaker 1: Chicken and churches affordable. Then you get a whole three
- 31:45Speaker 1: dollars pieces of chicken at church for like six dollars.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Now we're back, baby, Now churches is back man. They celebrated.

- 34:42Speaker 1: ms and thanks everybody out there. This is Andrew put
- 34:47Speaker 1: the news, and there's a lot to tell. First of all,
- 34:49Speaker 1: let's start out with Texas. Hurricane Harvey has been downgraded. However,
- 34:53Speaker 1: the now tropical storm Harvey remains stalled over the southeast
- 34:56Speaker 1: part of the Longhorn State, having already dumped over twenty
- 35:00Speaker 1: is a rain on Houston and now expected to leave
- 35:02Speaker 1: as much as fifty inches of flood wars in the
- 35:05Speaker 1: Houston area over at least tomorrow, but probably Thursday. Two
- 35:08Speaker 1: deaths are reported. Some people have been rescued so far
- 35:12Speaker 1: from flooded out buildings and rooftops. Tens of thousands are
- 35:15Speaker 1: in shelters, but some of the worst damage appears to
- 35:17Speaker 1: be north of Corpus Christie in the town of Rockport.
- 35:20Speaker 1: The mayor, their C. J. Wax, is wanting people to
- 35:22Speaker 1: stay away from now. Say out of the area. It
- 35:24Speaker 1: is not safe for you or your family. Do not
- 35:27Speaker 1: return until we tell you it is safe. There is
- 35:30Speaker 1: no food, no utilities, no lights, no water, no telecommunications.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Stay where you are and protect yourselves and your families.
- 35:39Speaker 1: I had thought about the term biblical, but I'll accept
- 35:43Speaker 1: an apocalyptic. That's right there, saying really shelter in place,
- 35:46Speaker 1: if you if you're safe and you drive. Some three
- 35:48Speaker 1: thousand National Guard troops have been called up. Evacuations continue
- 35:51Speaker 1: with the help of the Coast Guard, and President Trump
- 35:53Speaker 1: says he intends to visit the area tomorrow as rumored.
- 35:56Speaker 1: The President, by the way, has pardoned former Arizona A
- 35:59Speaker 1: Sheriff Joe are Pile, who was convicted of discriminatory policing
- 36:03Speaker 1: but hadn't even been sentenced yet. In Arizona, judge found
- 36:06Speaker 1: the eighty five year old Pile guilty of criminal contempt
- 36:08Speaker 1: for repeatedly violating cordors to end the harsh tactics he
- 36:12Speaker 1: was using against Latinos. However, the White House says, quote
- 36:15Speaker 1: our piles fifty years of admirable service to our nation
- 36:18Speaker 1: made him a worthy candidate for pardon, and he got one.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Today the fifty fourth anniversary the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther
- 36:23Speaker 1: King's March on Washington. Today, the Revene Al Sharpton leading
- 36:26Speaker 1: the thousand minister march on the Justice Department to say
- 36:30Speaker 1: that the King that the dream is still alive, despite
- 36:32Speaker 1: being threatened by events in Charlottesville and elsewhere. The Bronder
- 36:36Speaker 1: Brothers held their seventieth Annual International Beauty Show in Atlanta
- 36:39Speaker 1: this month, and the famous Black American beauty products family
- 36:42Speaker 1: donated thirty thousand dollars in wigs and other beauty products
- 36:46Speaker 1: to cancer survivors. And it started out like this. If
- 36:49Speaker 1: you're asking what I like to fight Floyd, I mean,
- 36:51Speaker 1: who would not like to dance around the ring for millions.
- 36:56Speaker 1: I'm not the same fighter I was ten years ago.
- 36:59Speaker 1: I'm not the same what I was five years ago.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I'm not the saying that I was two years ago.
- 37:04Speaker 1: But I got and he did twenty minutes after the hour.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Stay tuned Eugene the Butterfly, Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're
- 37:11Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve introduced
- 37:15Speaker 1: Jay and Jay you introduced the Butterfly. Here we go.
- 37:21Speaker 1: He had one of the greatest fight parties in the world.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Y'all put your hands together, good money everyone, Stephen, Tommy Shirley.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Spirit about it now. I do not have a good
- 37:35Speaker 1: spear in My entire apartment has just been just totally destroyed.
- 37:39Speaker 1: But let me finish people, and we're playing something to me,
- 37:50Speaker 1: so I would say something back, Stephen. Everything is just
- 37:54Speaker 1: my whole apartment is destroyed. I had a fight party
- 37:58Speaker 1: and then a damn fight broke out at Felix and
- 38:04Speaker 1: Sebashi and got into a fight and it was it
- 38:08Speaker 1: was just a mess. It was at me. What happened, Well,
- 38:14Speaker 1: what I'm head put money on Madewether. Felix but money
- 38:18Speaker 1: and Sebastian and put money on Connor, and Felix didn't
- 38:23Speaker 1: one of them didn't want to pay the other one.
- 38:25Speaker 1: And then I said, look y'all can have to sell
- 38:27Speaker 1: it like we like we normally sadlet then then we
- 38:29Speaker 1: you know, we play rock, paper sealsors curlin. That's how
- 38:32Speaker 1: we do it. Scissors curl Yeah, that's what we when
- 38:39Speaker 1: we was growing out, that's how we did we play.
- 38:40Speaker 1: We don't play this. We play Carolina. So and you
- 38:49Speaker 1: know when we fight, we have we have roots. You
- 38:51Speaker 1: cannot you cannot have fist fight. We so we we slap,
- 38:54Speaker 1: we fight with overhead what and it was just it
- 38:59Speaker 1: was bad. And they flipped out with my couch and
- 39:01Speaker 1: my coffee table and my step is destroyed. They do
- 39:07Speaker 1: wear meals, but you have to have an open hand.
- 39:10Speaker 1: You cannot you know, if if it's a close head,
- 39:12Speaker 1: we'll be in to stop it, because you're not supposed
- 39:14Speaker 1: to do that. But anyway, my cow, I need a
- 39:19Speaker 1: new couch, I need a I need two new bar stools,
- 39:22Speaker 1: and then my my coffee table, and then the fight.
- 39:26Speaker 1: The fight fell into the dog on back from my
- 39:29Speaker 1: whole toilet is correct? Do you know anything about plumbing? Stephen?
- 39:35Speaker 1: Can I need you to come out and fix Could
- 39:36Speaker 1: I get you to come out and put a new
- 39:38Speaker 1: toilet in? Can you come over and help see? But
- 39:43Speaker 1: I'm going through some things and I just I just
- 39:45Speaker 1: need some help, you know, my I'm gonna make them.
- 39:51Speaker 1: It's it possible to sleep on your couch for a

- 40:04Speaker 1: some help as a as a boss, I need you
- 40:07Speaker 1: to really, you know, we have to go. Sorry, Butterfly,
- 40:12Speaker 1: we thought you had problems at that fight is not

- 59:34Speaker 1: This is a sabur right here. Subject My Prince Charming
- 59:38Speaker 1: turned out to be a devil with horns. That is
- 59:43Speaker 1: the subject again, My Prince Charming turned out to be
- 59:48Speaker 1: a devil with horns. I'm a thirty nine year old
- 59:51Speaker 1: single mother of two girls, nine and fourteen. I'm educated,
- 59:55Speaker 1: beautiful and successful and have a good job. I met
- 59:59Speaker 1: my Prince Charming online. Went on a few dates. In
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: my life. I've had misshaped mishaps when it comes to men.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: This guy was handsome, well educated, and he is every
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: woman's dream. I was, Oh this this, Oh. I was
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: so excited to finally meet somebody like him after meeting
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: a couple of you know, after meeting a couple of freeloaders.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: He was my dream come true. My excitement about my
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Prince Charming ended when I landed in his bed of hell.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: My first concern was his unwillingness to use protection, and
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: I insisted that since we don't know each other that long.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Since we didn't know each other that long. That was
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: the safest thing to do. I asked him about his
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: status and he said he was clean, he had no diseases,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: and he was going to show me his status. I
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: was concerned when I realized that he had secretly removed
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: the protection during the encounter, and he told me that
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: he does not like using them. After this day, I
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: called and told him that I needed to see his
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: HIV status and he said, yeah, I will send it
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: to you. As I was waiting impatiently, I noticed that
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: he was a bit different. I called him and told
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: him strongly but politely, that I needed to know his status.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: That was the last day I ever heard from him.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: He stopped calling me. He has he never answered my
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: calls nor returned them. I called him at work and
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: he told me not to bother him anymore. I must
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: leave him alone. Six months later, I tested positive for
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: h I V. What do I do? Do I sue him?
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Do I let him do this to other women? Should
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: I sit and accept it as my fate? I am devastated.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I look at my girls and cry because I have
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: betrayed them. I put myself in a compromising situation. What
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: do I tell them, Steve, I know I failed to
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: follow your rule of thumb, but I still need your advice. Thanks.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Devastated and betrayed will be back. You're listening to Steve
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Hey, make sure you join me for
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter Live the After Show on Facebook. It'll be

- 1:02:21Speaker 1: We'll talk about that day's letter. But come on, Steve,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: let's hear part two of your response to today's letter.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I know we don't want to deal with this because
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: it's so deep, but we got to get back to this.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I'm my Prince Charming turned out to be a devil
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: with horns. I'm thirty nine year old single mother two
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: girls nine and fourteen. I'm educated, beautiful and successful and
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: have a good job. I met my Prince Charming online.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Went on a few dates. In my life. I've had
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: mishaps when it comes to me, and this guy was handsome,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: well educated. He's every woman's dream. I was so excited
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: to finally meet somebody like him after meeting a couple
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: of freeloaders. He was my dream come true. My excitement
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: about my Prince Charming ended when I landed in his
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: bed of hell. My first concern was his unwillingness to
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: use protection, and I insisted that since we don't know
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: each other that long, that that was that was the
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: safest thing to do. I asked him about his status
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: and he said he was clean, he has no diseases,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: and he was going to show me his status. I
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: was concerned when I realized that he had secretly removed
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: the protection during the encounter, and he told me that
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: he does not like using them after this day, I
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: called him and told him I needed to see his
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: HIV status. He said, yeah, I'll send it to us.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I was waiting impatiently. I noticed that he was a
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: bit different. I called him and told him strongly but politely,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: that I needed to know his status. That was the
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: last day I ever heard from him. He stopped calling me.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: He never answered my calls, no return them. I called
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: him at work and he told me not to bother
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: him anymore. I must leave him alone. Six months later,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I tested positive for HIV. What do I do? Do
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: I sue him? Do I let him do this to
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: other women? Should I sit and accept it as my fate?
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: I am devastated. I look at my girls and cry
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: because I have betrayed them. I put myself in a
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: compromising situation. What do I tell them? Steve? I know
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I failed to follow your rule of thumb, but still
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I need your advice. Thanks. Devastated and betrayed. I'm devastated too.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I really am for her, you know, I mean all
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna do because she knows all the answers. I'm
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: just gonna give her some stuff that could possibly help
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: her in terms of websites that you can go to
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: and you know, get some help and some more education. Um.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Go to AIDS dot gov. Um. You know they can
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: give you access to US government HIV and AIDS information
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: about prevention. You know you can pass that along to
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: your girl, to your children, AIDS education, testing, treatment and care.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: A lot of people are living with AIDS and living
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: with HIV. And there's also AIDS health dot org. Uh,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: it's an a healthcare foundation, AIDS health dot org, AIDS
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: dot gov. This is so sad and about suing. You know,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: it depends on what states you're in. Well, here's what
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I want to say till the ladies is HIV and
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: AIDS is no longer the death centers that it used
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: to be. They have treatment for you, they have medicines
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: for you. There are people who are living long lives
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: who are HIV, and you know that. There's a gratefulness
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: in that you tested positive HIV. If you take care
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: of yourself from this point on, you can live a
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: long life. I know people personally friends of mine who
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: are HIV who are living very productive lives, and I
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: mean very productive lives. One of them is very famous.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Any played basketball. I rest my case. Yeah, so at
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: least you found out early. That's the good part. You
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: have two beautiful daughters. You have to do your part
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: now to stay here for them. So let's get about
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: the business now of what you have to do. There
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: is a fight involved, but because you're educated, intelligent, bright,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: you have fight in you. Go go get in this fight,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: don't give up. So yeah, that answers the question that
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: she asked, Should I sit and accept it as my No? No, no,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: it's listen, it's not your faith. It's a challenge. Now
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: you can accept this as a challenge or you can
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: accept it as your faith. It's not your faith. Faith
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: sounds so final. So no, no, no, no, no, you
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: are HIV positive. Okay, all right, let's get biddy, let's
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: get busy, let's get with it. Let's do what the
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: others have done who have fought this and is surviving
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: and living. There is no cure for AIDS, but that
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: is treatment now that enables you to to And I
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: hope I'm saying this wrong, and I please, please, I don't.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I don't mean any offense to anybody, because I don't.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: I don't want to say this wrong. I think that
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: if you're just HIV and it's not turned into age yet,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: that there is a lot of treatment for that, that
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: you can stave off the HIV from turning into age
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: once again. I hope I did not say anything to
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: offend anybody. I'm just trying to recall in memory what
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: I've heard my friends say. So I hope that's I
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: hope I'm not offending anybody because I noticed a delicate
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: subject and in our community it's devastating. You are smart enough, ma'am.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Where you went and got tested, you were concerned enough,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: you got you gotta move put on you with old
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: boy up in there. Uh. And the online thing, well online,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: I ain't really you don't understand you can meet somebody
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: online but even when you meet a person online, you
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: still got to go through them the one two threes
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: of how to get to know a person, whether you
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: meet him online or you meet him at church. She
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: supposed to turn him into Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: you gotta turn him in and you gotta protect other women. Yeah,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: you have to do that. You gotta put him straight
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: on notice and blast. You can't let because if this
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: is the game he playing, that's ugly. All right, Steve,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: You know we gotta go email us or instagram us
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: your thoughts on today's Strawberry letter at my girls surely
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: switching gears. Now, Steve, let's get back to the fight.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: You were telling us now about Junior, And what I
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: enjoyed most was watching Junior discover and get exposed and
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: to watch his face and questions. So that was your
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: first time, you know, like, well, stay they pick you
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: up at yeah, yeah, but what they pick you up
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: in Billy Pool? Right? I said? Note, No, they did
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: not know. Yeah you're listening to all right? Uh, welcome
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: back everybody. I told you we're gonna have a special guest.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: He's here. Uh. He is a noted politician. He's an
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: attorney in South Carolina. He is currently one of my
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: favorite political correspondents for CNN. I invited him on the
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: show to day so we could discuss some of the
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: comments that he made last week on CNN which involved me.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: This is gonna be good. He's a good brother, he
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: really is, and I'm very very happy with the work
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: that he does and I'm a fan of his also.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: So he's on the show. Please welcome to the show, everybody.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Mr Bacard selling, Welcome, Welcome, welcome, Thank you so much,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: thank you for having me. It's a it's a it's
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: the honor and the privilege and a pleasure to be on.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: So thank you. Good. First of all, man, I want
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: to say welcome to the show, and I want to
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: say this to you in front of everybody. Uh, I'm
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: a fan of yours, yeah, man, And we have a
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: decent relationship between one another. I don't want anybody to
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: think that we are two brothers that don't have the
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: wherewithal in the common sense to sit on and discuss.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Even brothers brothers can disagree, and so you know, I
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: just wanted to get some stuff out to light and
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: just talk openly about how we feel about certain things.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Because I've always respected his opinion on CNN, and so
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: he's here today, and I just want to say welcome
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: to you, uh, thank you, And if I may just briefly,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I want to say that, UM, I have that same
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: utmost respect for you and all the work that you've done, UM,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: And I can honestly say it's someone who is traveling
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: that same road, UM, that road of justice and searching
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: for justice and truth and all of that, UM, that
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: I look up to you. And so it's an honor
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: and a privilege to be on with you, UM, and
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: a pleasure as well. Yeah. So, so so let's just
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: start at the beginning, because I was just sitting at
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: my house and my kids called and said, Dad, Dad,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: they just just talked about you on CNN. I said,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: that's good, no, dadd And so then they told me
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: what we said. So let's just go from the beginning card.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: The discussion you all were having on CNN was pertaining
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: to what So we were having a discussion about the
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: president and getting his speech, UM, and you know it
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: was a speech and in Phoenix, Arizona, and he was
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: doing what he normally does, which is caught a white supremacy.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: It was going in and out of synchronization. It was
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: making sense and not making sense. But at the end
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: of the day, my comments were very plain and very simple,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: UM that anybody who has a platform, anybody who has
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: UM a message or a voice that can speak out
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: and speak up, needs to utilize it. Um. And so yeah,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: I mean I said that what we need to do
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: is I said, I want to know where the voices
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: are who gave Donald Trump respectability. We need to make
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: sure that the people like Steve Harvey, the people like
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Jim Brown are speaking up and speaking out. And I
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: stand by those words, and I think that it's important,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: UM that if anybody who has a platform I use
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: that platform to speak out and speak up, especially right
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: now with someone who was trying to roll back as
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: many of the progresses as we've made, um over the
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: past eight years, of the past fifty years, um, as
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Donald Trump has. And so my question was was a
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: simple one. UM, you know, is Steve Harvey, is Jim
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Brown going to speak out? If so? I hope they do.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I hope they use that platform. Lally. Yeah. Now, first
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Boo card, let me let me start with the comment
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: of those of us who gave him a voice of respectability,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: because that's that's where I want to start this whole thing.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: Because my initial visit to see Trump at the time
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: was because I had received a call from the Obama
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: transition team, not President Obama, but President Obama's transitioning. Now
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I have relationship with President Obama. I showed away from it,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: and they said, hoh man, we want you to know
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: how important this is to bridge the gap. So they
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: got the Trump transition team on the phone and they
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: put us on the phone together and they said would
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you come. So it was off and on and off
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: and on and so then the week of the thirteenth,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: on January, they said, be a Trump Towers at two
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: thirty maddling wizzen Hunt called me from Trump's office and
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: so I was hesitant. My wife and I talked about it.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: She had deep concerns about it, but I said, okay, baby,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: what you want me to do? I got the sitting
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: president and the incoming president, and both seemed to want
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: to make this happen, so I should go. So that's
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: what I was doing. I was really felt badly, but
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: card because I didn't know, you know, I didn't vote
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: for it, you know, And it was really hard not
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: to get his as in just I just wanna, I wanna,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I want to. I want you to understand my disappointment
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: because you know, this isn't Donald Trump is not somebody
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: knew who we just met on the scene. It's the
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: same Donald Trump who was sued from the by the
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Department of Justice for violent individual civil rights. It's the
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: same Donald Trump who was sued by dealers in Atlantic
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: City for discriminatory practices. It's the same Donald Trump, um
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: who you know, dealt with the Central Park five after
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: they were found and exonerated and found to be not
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: guilty and persecute as the Jungs like brothers. And so
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: you know, for me, the disappointment, the heartaches is not
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: necessarily uh you know, taking the phone call per se,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: but it is lending someone And you know, my Angel
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: has said it best when individuals show you who they are,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: we have to trust that and believe that. And so
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: you know, Donald Trump is who we thought he was,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: There's no question about it. And to see his practices
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: not just when he was elected, but even today, my
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: point is still the same. My point is that we
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: need all hands on deck because Steve the way I
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: feel about you, um is I look at you the
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: same way that I look at a James Brown, the
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: same way I look at a Harry Belafonte, the same
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: way I look at a Dick Gregory. I mean, I
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: look at you with the utmost respect on the platform
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: that not only all the things that you have done,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: but the things that you will do. And so we
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: need to make sure that we are all hands on
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: deck with someone like Donald Trump who was peeling back
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: and rolling back everything that we believe. Yeah, let me
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: say this. I had heard all of what you said,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: to be honest, because we had kind of discussed it
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: on the show, the scrimatory lawsuit, you know. But what
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: had happened was this guy goes from the campaign trail
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: to the White House. So now this person with these
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: problems who also got elected after, you know, talking about
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: a man's wife that's running that also said he could
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: grab a woman's p and it's okay. Not a dude
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: that was on the bus with him, Uh, Billy Billy Bush.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: He gets fired. The other dude that was on the
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: bus who said it is the president. Now I'm sitting
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: here going, wow, we are in some jacked up times.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Uh, welcome back, everybody. I told
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: you we're gonna have a special guest. He's here, Mr
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Bacary Seller. So so so when this guy gets in
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: the office, he's not just a guy who's made these
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: negative comments and lawsuits and all this. He's now the
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: incoming president. So the hard part for me, Butcari, was
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: how does the sitting president and the incoming president request
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: a meeting and how do I say, no, I ain't
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: meeting with you. That was the dilimma that I had,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: man and looking back on it in hindsight, I was
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: talking to Ed Gordon one time. He said, Steve, what
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: you should have did was told us you were going
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: to meet him and what you were going to talk about.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: And that's beautiful in hindsight. But guess what, I didn't
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: really know what I was going to talk to him
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: aboutcause I didn't know what they wanted. So I'm just
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: I just went to the meeting. Go ahead. No. I
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: get that, and I understand that completely. But now we're
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: at a point where we have someone who is embolding
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: and giving. He's given a bigger platform. And I know
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: when you came out to Towers I remember what you said,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: and I I appreciate that we're gonna give a voice
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: and we're gonna talk about housing in Nfcity, Chicago and Detroit.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I remember that. But he's in bolting white supremacist and
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: neo Nazis and the clan more than he's in voting
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: people who look like me, and you you're absolutely so
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: for me. I mean, my only point is that, like
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: I want every single person like my I don't have
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: a lot of, um, you know, astronomical goals in my life.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Of course, I want to be able to take care
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: of my family and all of this and all of that.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: But for me, I just want to be able to
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: live and die seeking justice and truth and peace and
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: those type of things. And I need to make sure
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: that everybody who's on the same plane, because I am
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: who has a platform, is using that voice. And that
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: was my only point that you and Jim Brown and
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: so many others, I mean, we we cannot afford to
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: sit back and let Donald Trump continue to do the
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: things you've been doing. Although it's only been a seven
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: months now, Okay, let me say this card because I
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: agree with everything you say whole heart, and that's the
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: reason I wanted you and I to talk open because
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: we we are brothers who are on the same mission.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: We just we got two routes were taken to get there,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: and we got two modes that we can use to
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: get there. Knowing what I know now about this man,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: but having seen it come into action with the power
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: of the presidency, would I have gone up that end
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: knowing that if I would have knew the knew the
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: backlash that my family would have suffered behind, I wouldn't
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: have win. I don't give a damn what President Obama
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: and the transition team said. I just wouldn't have done
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: it to my family. I really didn't expect the severity
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: of the backlash because the backlash that came to me,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: it didn't come to me from white folks. The backlash
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: that came to me came from the very people that
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: I served and have loved and tried to be an
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: example for all these years. So it was kind of
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: hurtful from me when they when they came, I was
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: a coon or sellout and all like this. So when
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: I got to the meeting, not knowing what it was about,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: when he posed a question to me, he said, what
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: can I do for you. I said, no, man, let
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: me help you. And God just got on me and said,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: let me work with uh been can Well, when we
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: came off the elevator, here was the other thing. He
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: wasn't supposed he wasn't supposed to come down on the elevator.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: I was gonna go down and go and address the media.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: And I asked him before I left, I said, Mr Trump,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. I'm going to tell
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: them what we talked about. Is that okay? He said sure, absolutely,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: And I told him I was gonna talk about this.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: He said, fine, I get on the elevator. He said,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: hold on, Stephen, going down with you. Okay, we get
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: off the elevator. He walked straight up to the microphone
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: and the first word out his mouth was, We're gonna
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: repeal and replace OBAMACA. Now I'm just standing here, going, dude,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: when you said a damn thing like that up stair.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: So now I'm standing there looking like birth man, like
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I don't just up here and talk about yeah, we're
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: gonna repeal to replace OBAMACA. And I was caught off
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: God before when I got to the truck and got
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: in the truck and was taking a deep breath. Going, Man,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: let me to see what I can talk to be
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: Ben casting about how con proposed this. I proposed division centers. Man.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: My phone lit up, manded you on social media. Man,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: they're eating you a live and I went wow, And
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: so you know, but go ahead. Can I just let
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: me just say this for me. Listen, the President of
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: the United States ask you to come and meet with him.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: And I understand that, like it's a hard it's a
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: hard uh ask to say no to. But my only
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: point is now we know exactly who he is, and
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: so now there is not a day to go by
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: where we all should not be in unison rebuking the
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: fact that he is in voting those people who want
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: to take back the rights that we've worked so hard for.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: And so I mean, let's car let me ask you
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: a question, man, true, okay, knowing that he was this
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: guy before, but are you just a little bit surprised?
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: Don't at the level of what it is? You know? No,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: don't you know what's crazy? You know what some you know,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: it's the most amazing thing about this. You know, all
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: the white people that are so surprised by Charlottesville. I mean,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: those people are bankers, those people are teachers, assistants, those
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: people are in our everyday communities. I'm not surprised by
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: that one bit. Now it has a face, and they
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: just have peaky torches and a Polo shirt and Google
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: boy pants khakis on. I mean, listen, this this is
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: nothing new. I'm not surprised by it. I lost one
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: of my good friends in Charleston, South Carolina to white
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: supremacy run amuck on on the tenth degree um in
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: the in the mother and Manual shooting. So I mean,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I understand that this is very, very real, and I'm
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: not surprised that Don Donald Trump is a white supremacists
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: in chiefs. I'm not surprised at all. But what I
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: am going to do is make sure that every breath
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: that I have and every breath that I take, UM,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: we make sure that we're bringing those of us that
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: look like me and you and every Most of the
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: listeners on this show have an opportunity to say that
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: you know, we're gonna be all right. Yeah you know, man,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I followed you. I gotta tell you, I am a
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: little bit surprised, I am, man, because I just did
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: not get the levity of because you know, man, as
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: we all try to hold him accountable, as we try
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: to hold him to task, I was thinking, Okay, what
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: could I do to hold him to task? Because right
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: now his wife can't do it, his daughter can't do it,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Bisson couldn't do it, Mooch couldn't do it. Call me,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: tried to do it. God Is asked five. You know
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: he over that he dog he he is letting him
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: have it up there. He didn't got rid of Bangion
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: the right, all right, this dude right here, all right,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: we'll be back. You're listening, alright, Uh, welcome back everybody.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: I told you we're gonna have a special guest. He's here.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: Mr Bacard sell it. Hey, man, let me ask you this.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: I don't know how we can take this guy to task.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: The seventy year old rich dude that's been doing what
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: he wanna do, who had no place so he never
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: been the alderman and now he the president of the
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: United States, and this dude what he's just partners share
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: They don't. Just my point exactly. Man, That's why we
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: can't be quiet about nothing. Every single every single opportunity
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: we get, we have to call it out. We have
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: to call it for what it is. I mean, we
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: cannot be quiet right now. I mean, listen, Marta. King
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: said it best. And I'm not a big person who
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: quotes King at everything chance I get, but he said,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: at the end of time, we won't remember the words
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: of our enemies, but we remember the silence of our friends.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: I mean, we have to make sure that we're speaking
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: up and using every single platform we have to speak
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: out about somebody who is a biggest who is President
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: of the United States. That's what we have to do.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: And and I appreciate your effort in that area. You know,
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: on on this show, we have two responsibility. You know,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: we were first we were created as an entertainment show,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: but we also went bear the bannet of you know,
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: and we provide information and we do it in a
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: way man, and you know where we could keep it,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: keep the light on it, but for four hours, you know,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: we gotta do what we do, which is to entertain
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: here so people get a break from it because CNN
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: is dedicated to it. Lord ha mercy for you, Don Lemon,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: Don Lemon is not this is his calling, Don. I
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: just want you to know, Don, Yeah, Don limit man.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: He is so done? He so done? And who's the
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: guy who's the white guy with the white hair that
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: he's not He's not with us anymore. Jeffrey Lord, we are,
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Jeffrey Lord. We were part of ways what happened to
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: him because I didn't care what Trump did, It was okay.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: But even for a minute he started going like why man?
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: One time he couldn't explain. That's what I knew, Donald,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: you not. The most amazing part about this whole thing
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: is that we've only been seven months. In two years,
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: what do you think, because what do you all think
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: it's going to happen here? Can Can this last for
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: four years? Yeah? I believe it can last for four years.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: I'm preparing myself for the last for four years. You know,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: I think that the most of our countries is waking up.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: I mean, I listen, you know, white supremacy is nothing new. Um.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: I think that we have to brace ourselves and deal
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: with it. Um. I think that it's going to get,
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: you know, a little bit worse before it gets better.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: I mean, at the end of the day, I think
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: we're gonna be okay. But I do believe that Donald
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: Trump is what this country asked for we haven't dealt
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: with it. We hadn't dealt with what we were built up,
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: which is race, which is racism, until now we're here
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: and we're reconciling that with you know, Donald Trump. Hey man,
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: let me ask you one more question too, because here's
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: the deal. Three million votes more Hillary Clinton in the
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: popular vote. What are we going to do about this
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: electoral because you know, if if Georgia with fewer people
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: can get the same count as Ohio with more people,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: and so forth and so on down the line, how
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: how how do we win this thing? Man? Because I
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: can imagine it eight years. Well, we don't have to
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: get on our horse. If we want him to not
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: be president for eight years, we'll be back. You're listening
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: to all right? Uh, welcome back everybody. Uh, Mr Bacard Seller.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: I am very very pleased just to have the opportunity
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: to have this discussion. But I do want you enough.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: But I have a lot of friends who questioned electoral college,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: And I said, at the electoral college is that bad?
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: And they would not have elected a black man from
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Hawaii whose mom was from Kansas, whose dad was from Kenya.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: So we just need to work. We we have to
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: work within the system that we have. But at the
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: end of the day, I think that what it's gonna
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: take is all of us to use our voice and
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: people of color to stand up and be like, you know,
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: we're not going to tolerate this, and we're gonna have
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: to continue to fight. I mean, that's all we have
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: to Oh we we we are a people who've been
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: fighting for a very long time just to be free,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: and we're gonna continue that fight. And you know, with
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: this right here, with Charlottesville, Uh, the darkness of Charlottesville
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: had a flicker of light, a light in it though,
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: because the majority of people that were out there were
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: not African Americans. And it's a shame they can clear
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: this girl, Heather had to lose her life. But here this,
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: this white supremacy plows through it and kills, you know,
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: and it had a highest family ask an amazing question.
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: They asked, why did it take for a white woman
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: to die for us to realize that white supremacy was real?
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: I mean it it is what it is. I mean,
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: you've lived alonger life than I have, Stephen, you know,
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: you know how difficult it is just to not just
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: break through the glass ceiling, but to be able to
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: just crack it a little bit. I mean, you've lost
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: friends to to individuals who were shot in the streets.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I mean, we've we've dealt with this before, um, but
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: now people are paying attention to it because they understand
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: what it looks like. And so I mean to get
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: back to to do full circle all the way back
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: to my comments on CNN. It was out of the
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: utmost love and respect that we're gonna be all in
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: this together and we're gonna figure this thing out, and
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: at the end of the day that they're gonna be
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: somebody who's proud of us because we will not let
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: up on this fight for truth. And we won't. We
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: simply won't. Well, you know, man, I invited you on
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: the show to say just that because what I wanted
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: to stop before I got to see if you had
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: said this on a blog, we wouldn't need to be talking,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: but he guy said on seeing it. So what I
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: wanted was to show other people that we can sit
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: down and have an intelligent discussion and try to understand
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: one another, because there's enough separatism and in our side
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: of the playground, we don't need no more. Oh man,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: you want to tell but con is man no no, no, no,
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: no man no man, Me and his brother, all right,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: we just had a different Maybe we had a misunderstanding
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: what we said. So let's just talk it out like men.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: And just I invited you on the show. I reached
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: out to me on your TV show before. Yeah, man
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: and and and a great dude, and I love when
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: you're on that show for CNN Fighting to Fight. I
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: just wanted everybody to hear you and I have an
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: open dialogue discussion because before before they get started, because
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: I stay on the internet. My aunts don't need to
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: be on the animal well vaccary. We want to just
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: say thank you for taking the time, thank you for
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: what you do. First of all, we love, love, love you.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: We talked about you before this came about. We just
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: love you that much, how brilliant you are and the
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: things you say and all of that. So thank you
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: for breaking the time you want. And Baccar, just in closing, man,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: you're same my name out your mouth again. I'm slap
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: all Okay. I just thought we'd have a good Yeah,
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: my daddy's age, Well that's good. Thank you for respecting that. Pacar,
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: be good man. Thank you brother. All right, we'll be back.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, what
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: a great interview, Steve. I'm glad Beccary Sellers took the
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: time to call in and straighten. I think it's important,
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: man to see us as brothers who are really working
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: for the same call in case we have a misunderstanding,
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: let's just talk. Let's just talk it out. You know,
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: I get sick of people just going online with your
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: ignorant comment and you don't even really know what you're
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: talking about. But you know, whatever, that's your world. You
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: want to be, you want to try to make yourself relevant.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: Go ahead, do do your thing. But but that happens
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: a lot those days when when brothers don't get together
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: and actually talk, it happens a lot and they and
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: they go for years and years not speaking to each
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: other because they think one has something against the other.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: One was right, but exactly. But see, I didn't want
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: that to happen between me and him because I like
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: to do so much, and obviously he has great admiration
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: and respect for me. So unless you will not talk
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: about what you said, what I meant, and why I
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: did it, let's talk about that and maybe you'll find
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: out that we might be on the same page and
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: what happened. Yeah, I definitely think that's what that That
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: is what went down, so with Kyrine and Lebron would
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: have that on and talk. Did you guys hear According
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: to report from ESPN dot com that the Cavaliers are
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: still evaluating Isaiah Thomas. You guys heard about that right
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: his injured hip. He had that hip injury following Friday's
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: physical and uh, they're weighing options with regard to the
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: completion of the deal that would send Kyrie Irving to
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: the Boston Celtics. It might not be a done deal
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: as of yet. And speaking of this deal, Uh, Lebron
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: James was firing some serious shots at NBA fans on Twitter,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: specifically the ones that burn a player's jersey when they
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: leave a team, something Lebron, of course, is very familiar with.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: After he left Cleveland, Lebron defended Isaiah Thomas and Gordon Hayward.
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: The burning of the jersey thing is getting ridiculous now,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: Lebron said, Isaiah, Yeah, I guess because yeah, he was
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: traded a minute, but he didn't trade He didn't exactly exactly.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: But but this is the same guy whose sister passed
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: and he plays anyway, and y'all turned around and y'all
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: trade demand. Hey, man, do you understand that you've traded
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: a person attitude? Any time he see you. Kyrie on
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: the other hand, going to Boston, but he asked to
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: be traded. He did well. Lebron was saying, the burning
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: of the jersey thing is getting ridiculous. Now the man
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: was traded just like it, just said, Steve, but what
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: do you not understand? And he played in a game
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: after a sister's tragic death. Gordon Haywood paid his dues
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: as well and decided to do what's best for him
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: and his family. He put in the work, got better,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: became an all star, et cetera. If these guys weren't good,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: you guys would be the first to say, get them
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: out of here. And that is so true, that's so true.
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: And Lebron said, man, beat it. When we decided to
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: do what's best for us, it's cow it's it's cowardly.
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: They call them traders, But when it's on the other side,
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: it's business. Huh. Okay, man, do what you feel is
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: best for your profession, love, family, happiness, and continue to
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: hashtag strive for greatness, hashtag salute What do you know
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: abother me? This is from people who can't play. That's
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: what gets me, don't ye Because it from people who
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: can't armchair quarterbacks and things. The credit belongs to the
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: man who was actually in the arena, whose face is
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: marred with dust, blood, sweating tears, not to those cold
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: and timid souls in the stands who know neither victory
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: nor the tree. I never heard of it. Wow, what
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: a gladiator say? Are you not entertained? Yeah? I do,
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: because you know you you sacrifice a lot for Boston
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: in those playoffs and they get done. But then they
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: get mad when players won't take less money. Come on again, like,
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: come on doing for the team? Can't play trade and play? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: that's crazy. I'm glad Lebron spoke out though, and came
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: to their defense. I'm glad he did, and hopefully they'll
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: get it worked out and especially um, they'll watch his
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: hip injury and by the time yeah, that's pretty sad. Yeah,
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: so I'll check on my side piece. Manjul Hey, man, Okay,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: it's great. Tommy, your mommy you're gonna left this food
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: wreck your home to check on your damn side in
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: a side pieces in a dry area. Man, Wow, Jay,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: Now I'm the head of hell. That makes sense? Does
