Transcript
- 0:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: God.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: Can you imagine Jeff Stoutland doing that wouldn't be shocked if the Dallas Cowboys called them?
- 0:13[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't back to not coming back since Stout's gone.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, why would he?
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: And this is another great one.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: How does that affect Lane Johnson?
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: wanting to come back.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: If you got Jordan Malata, who's on right now, and going to be the air parent to lane, as the leader of the offensive line, and you've got lane, you've got Malata pissed off, what's that mean to lane?
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Now I saw, hey listen, the money will be a factor.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: of and you would have what you would have Jeff Stoutlin as your old line coach in Los Angeles with Justin Herbert.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I could see Jim Harbour hiring him.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: Not when he resigns.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think it's edge might be the kid from Missouri.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: At this pace, Jordan is going to, well, the pants of flame retires now.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: If he retires, does Jeffrey, how he and Nick realize, you're shit on your shoes.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: Jeffrey, you and your,
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: Kim, I hear you.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: I hear a lot of people who are aggravated right now.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, you think this shrink is Super Bowl window?
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: Before his death, yes.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: Before he died, Ray and I had a great conversation.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: I apologize to him and he apologized to me.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: he did.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: He did.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know what, I can't wait.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: We got, we got Angela's take earlier on the program of what he thought.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: And for years, Howard Eskin,
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: was on the sidelines there.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously talking sports, I cannot wait to do this here.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: I want to get his initial reaction because a lot of people are freaking out here.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: And there's no doubt, if you read Howard, if you read Jeff Stoutland's response in his post, he was a giving reward roses to the Philadelphia Eagles on the way out the door.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Howard saw this, this was coming, and it would be inevitable.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Howard, what's your takeaways on this thing here with Jeff Stoutland?
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they love the good coach.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, in Jeff Stoutland, he obviously was not happy with what was going to be a reduced role.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's apparent that the sixors gave their new offensive coordinator, more responsibility and took away some of Jeff Stoutland's responsibility, but maybe one of the biggest things it was going to be a scheme change again, and maybe Stoutland didn't really want that.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: He got out the right time, that's the bottom line.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: He got out at the right time.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think this is going to be a season that Eagles or their fans are going to be excited about.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't even gotten there yet.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: They haven't even gotten all their players.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: There's too many changes.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: There's too many changes.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: you know why would they take away some of his responsibility, but if they weren't going to run a scheme that he liked and he probably talked about it because the new coach has already been talking to him.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: And he's just said, you know, what are what am I coaching for anymore?
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but how did it get here with less than he?
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it'll be a year.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: February 9th, how did it get here this fast like this that arguably would you not agree Jeff Stoutland probably is in the same conversation as Jim Johnson has one of the greatest coaches that the organization has ever had, how did it get here that short of period of time to where all of a sudden you're pushing a guy like that out the door?
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't understand what you say it's short period of time.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, you can't come here.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're away from being one of the greatest run games in the history of the sport to where you're demoted in your run game responsibilities to where the guy has to quit because he can't take it anymore and he was pushed out the door.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, it was a great, I mean, it had great run games before that.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, a swift was a good running back for the Eagles as well.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: I guess there's going to be, the only way, and this is the only thing I can think.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: There are offensive boardenners, wasn't the first choice, the second choice, the third choice, the fourth choice, the fifth choice.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he was the sixth choice.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe there was nobody left after that that they really wanted.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, he really have to leave green by, did he have to leave green by?
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think so.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: with a team that where the offensive line won't be as good, which means the running game won't be as good, which means obviously the quarterback is not gonna be good enough or as good.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's taking a chance.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: And nobody else wanted to take that chance to be the Eagles offensive coordinator.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe they just gave him a lesson.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: You want to do this, you want to do this, you want it, okay.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: And Stoutland didn't like it.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: Stoutland's obviously, we both, we all know he's an excellent coach.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Jimmy Johnson is a great coach.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: And Stoutland's a great coach, but being a head coach is different.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think Jeff Stoutland deserves all the praise that anybody wants to give him.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: But it's not, it's obviously not a good situation for the Eagles, but whether Jeff Stoutman was going to stay or not, I don't think the Eagles, I just don't think the Eagles were going to be as good a team as they were this year, and they obviously weren't good enough this year.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: But how would you gave the job to a guy who's been a coach for 25 months?
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: it's got enough autonomy to push a guy who's going to can't one day and is in the same conversation as Dante Scornekki, as one of the greatest online coaches of all time, I find that well he didn't push him, the Eagles pushed him, the only way that they could get him.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Because they couldn't get, I don't think they could get another offensive coordinator
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: I hate to say that they settled, but they settled, but they settled with a guy that was, there was nobody else, who else was out there?
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: No one else, I mean, a Frank, like that, Matt Nagy, Matt Nagy, Matt Nagy, how about a Frank, I don't even take the job.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: Right, exactly right, and I don't think, and I don't know this, for a fact, I don't think Matt Nagy wanted to come.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he'd rather sit out of here and obviously he doesn't have to sit out of here because he's gonna go to the Giants.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's just, I don't think Matt Maggie wanted to come to the Eagles.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: Brian Dable didn't want to come obviously.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me who else they Daniel didn't want to come now and Frank like didn't want to come.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to take a judge job.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now the chat you can only go up, but he and, but they don't have any idea about it back yet in New York.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: They don't even know who's going to quarter back.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: Frank would rather take that job because he told me how it was too noisy and fairly.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: He said it was just too noisy and it was too and like door door there were changes coming and Frank didn't want to be part of the changes that we're coming because he he knew Stoutland was getting shown the door here so that leads me to this how much do you think.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: Is this the organization doing this on neck, hey Nick you want to run the show you want this to be your show all right Nick you want this guy in here fine you want to change the offense fine we're going to find out about the quarterback aren't we if they're going to spread the ball around we're going to find out 26 if that guy can do that right.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think we already know about the quarterback.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: We do know that, but I think that's what I think the way it is.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it's another built in, I hate to say this.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: I actually don't know, I'm going to be honest.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's another built in excuse for jail and hurts.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know what the numbers are anymore.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Seven offensive coordinators in eight years, another scheme.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, what do you expect me to do?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: So it's another built in excuse for the quarterback.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: What makes you think, I'm telling you, you didn't like Kevin Betulo, but I did, but it wasn't his fault.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't his fault, but we're gonna find out whether Jalen Hertz can handle obviously a more involved offensive scheme.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not sure he can.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: I had my questions.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe he can at all.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is going to be the undoing of all of this.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's like, I mean, so you want all those games with one style of play and all of a sudden now you're going to try to evolve and offense with the guys weaknesses as a player.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't I don't see that now.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: Let me let me ask you this.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: So here here's something else that's being reported.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: So Kevin Patula and Nick Seriani were basically taking over the run game and they were taking over the run game of and how the run plays were going to be called without even conferring with them.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: and they weren't even talking to him anymore.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: I, again, I have to ask you, how did he get here?
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: Were that guy, he's created Hall of Fame players?
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: You, you could make the argument that when you think of the Philadelphia Eagles over the last 13 years, you'd think of Stoutland.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: You don't think of anybody else, you don't think of other coaches, you'd think of Jeff Stoutland because you want super balls by running the ball in those great alignment.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I hate to say that Nick Serriani wanted a fall guy, but the running game wasn't as good.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: But then you look at the offensive line.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: That wasn't as good.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: Was that Stoutland's fault that King Jorgans wasn't as good?
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: Was that Stoutland's fault that Lane Johnson got hurt?
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: Was that Stoutland's fault that they lost what was at the right guard?
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: And he wasn't as good.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Was that Stoutland's fault?
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I like
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: My a lot of I like him, but he didn't have his good a year either The way he's going off on media role right now saying how much of a BS move this is very much good Very unequalish right now that you know you got a player right now.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: Then well here frustrations he made him a player
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: He was a rugby player who knew nothing about how to play the offensive line.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: And Jeff Stoutman made him an all-pro player, but I say, well, what does all-pro mean anymore?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: All-pro is a joke.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at that flag football nonsense, I mean, it's just quarterbacks through 100 interceptions and three touchdowns were on the, because nobody else wanted to go.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was a complete joke, but he made him
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: a really, really good player.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of, that's why I'm sure he's upset.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: He made him a really good player.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: He pushed him.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: He pushed him.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: He taught him.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: And he can develop players like that.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Stoutman, as we all know, is a very good coach.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: And he didn't get bad in one year, but they wanted to make changes.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: I guess they made changes and he wasn't happy with the changes.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: And did he really need, I kind of think, if he takes a year off, I think he might coach against somewhere, maybe consult or maybe consult something.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he, do you think this exposes Jalen hurts even more?
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, because now you're changing something.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: He couldn't handle the offense last year.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: You think by changing the offense, he's going to be a better quarterback.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand what they're doing, man.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: I just do they want them out?
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: Why would you not coach a kid to a skill?
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you want you want you and her to out?
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: Don't make a decision.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, why are they not coaching them to a skill?
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, wait a minute.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: You can't say you'd want them out.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to have a failed season.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, can you imagine, uh, uh, uh,
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine, if the Eagles, this fan base will go ballistic, if the Eagles, if they have, actually, they play some of this, if they win nine games.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: They'll go ballistic because they won't finish in first place.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to make this prediction now.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I know you're going to put it out there and have people about bust my balls and all that kind of nonsense.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think those are going to win the division this year.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think they'll be lucky to win seven games.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, well, seven games, I mean, come on.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: What's the difference between seven and nine games, a fumble and a block field goal?
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right, and a block field goal.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: I, uh, we have the only one seven games.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: That means they won't make the playoffs.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: They don't make the playoffs.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: Mangello just said, and they don't make the playoffs.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they're talking about building a new stadium.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: And that's really for more seat license money.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: But they don't want to have to worry about building it.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: They'll have to worry about erecting the one they already have.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: All right, how about this one here?
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: How does this affect Lane Johnson?
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: Would Jeff Stoutland retiring or leaving or quitting or whatever?
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: How does this affect Lane?
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: He loved him too.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think Lane, you know, what do you do?
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: Lane wasn't prepared to retire.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, when players aren't prepared, they want to give it probably another shot.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: Lane's always talked about playing two or three more years.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I don't think it was any way he was gonna play three years.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: And he said, some injuries are less couple of years.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I think he will think long and hard,
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: to go out because I think all along, he thought he was going to play at least another year.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: So, but it's going to, he's not going to be happy, but you know, players get over it.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: Players, they've got to play.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: And the players don't want to make the players or don't make the plays.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: But if it's, if the coaching, but it's easy to have a coaching criticism
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's multiple change.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just two changes on offense.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to be the offensive coordinator, the offensive line coach is probably going to be somebody else.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, they got a passing in coordinator to Josh's hard.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: So now.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're pretty come from Tampa.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think I can't be a fire from Tampa for that train wreck down there.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's so How you know how this all goes away.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: Your wife, your girlfriend remind you every Tuesday on direct deposit day.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: It reminds you every Tuesday.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, listen, I know you love Jeff and all, but check your account.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, okay.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all right.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what the worst thing you could happen now.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: And Vic Fangeo is not thinking about retirement because of the situation.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: Singing about retirement because he has the last couple of years.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: He always wonders whether he's going to come on with any of you.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: We don't think that that played into that Jeff Stoutman.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: him quitting and not want to be part of the organization for the moves that they're making that big phagio didn't do this.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: Stout was not in the building now on that other side.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to have all those frat boys over there on that side.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's like a frat house over there now with all the youth that you got.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, but I'm going to sit here and now I'm going to be the only old guy in the building.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't think it's about.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he thinks of himself as old.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: He thinks of
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: But one for this team, you can talk about the offense and you can talk about, say, Juan Barclay, but the defense was tremendous.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: And Vic Van Geo obviously was a tremendous part of that.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: Now I think he's at a point in his life.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: He probably wants to enjoy, think about how long he's coached.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: And seven years old, he's coached 40 years.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: uh... so he started in his thirties uh... he started yet that's where i got to know him with the stars yeah with the u.s.fl uh... so you know there's a point where you say there's a lot of work uh...
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's more than just the six or seven months of the season camp, but just it's more than that.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, maybe he just wants to enjoy life.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't need any more money.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Although people when they make that kind of money want to make more.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think Nick's one of those, or I've fixed one of those guys that wants to make more money.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's got enough to enjoy his life.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he can't quit now, can he?
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: Can he quit now?
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: I want to show you this hour.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm somebody sent me this.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: I got to show you this because this is big fan Geo's first job.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: And he recruited me by the way.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: And this is Millford Academy.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: And this is in Connecticut.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: And he was a defense coordinator.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: These guys sent me.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: this jersey because I was going to go to mill for the academy out of half a guy before I went to college because I had to get my grades up, but they ended up getting me in any way of course because they figured it out.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not kidding.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: Wait a minute, wait a minute, Miami, they had to worry about your grades.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they really care about grapes.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: Not after they got in.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_01]: Not after what's I got in.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: It was all good.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: I had to get into the place because of the 19 cent, a 19% like acceptance rates, so I had to get in.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: Remember getting into college when you're a player, that's the deal.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: Staying in, I kind of whatever.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: And girls taking exams for you, writing them on your hand, all that.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's all good.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: I bet you know what, how I got my degree?
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: I painted offense.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't pass statistics.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: I went to the guy and I told him, I go, listen man, I've been in your class and you know, I don't really go to class.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: I did the blue book and all this and all and I can't like I could not pass the statistics.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: I can't believe you could paint a fence for a good grade.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: For a way I had to or I wouldn't play in the festival or in the or at the end, I had to do a twice actually.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: It was like the Fiesta Bull and like 93, 93, 87, 87.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: So he goes like this to me, the guy goes, come over to my house, I go, listen, I'm not doing anything stupid here.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, you're painting offense.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what?
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: Sure enough, I said, all right, I'll paint offense for an hour or so.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I go over this guy at a horse ranch.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm doing this Howard I'm painting a rat and I had to pay both sides took me two days Give me a C. I'm like you're kidding me.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm out there in the Florida weather anyway.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well, here's a positive Let's let the insiliob be positive for once here So how does this affect AJ if they're gonna throw the ball around don't you if you're AJ go like this Wait a minute wait a minute he did that last year
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't throw the ball around last year.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, but he complained last year.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: So let me see.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't this move getting away from Stoutland.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: Meaning that they may want to throw the ball more.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: Does it just look like this?
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: They want to throw the ball more?
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: Not with this quarterback.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: Why is that?
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Well, because he's afraid to turn the ball over.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: And they don't want to turn the ball over.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, there's so, actually it's a good thing, you know, less turn, they win games like being on the plus side of turnovers.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: So less turnovers to the less passes, the less turnovers.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's the way they've operated this offense with jail and hurts, less passes, less turnovers.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: And, yeah, I don't think they're going to open up the offense.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: They might do some different things.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: Which, say, Juan Barclay, they're going to open up the offense.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: Why'd you get rid of Jeff Stoutlin, then?
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: There had to be some internal things.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think it was him and Nick.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: I just think he wasn't happy with the fact that they were going to start changing things.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: It just, listen, Nick is still a good coach.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what Angela just said,
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Angela has ripped him for 20 years and he didn't even know him for 20 years.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: So he probably ripped him before he was born.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: It just give me a break when he changed.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, just, just, just and not, I'll start anything here, but he said when he got off the air, I think it was at the top of the hour.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: He said that the intelligence part of the program just ended.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: When he threw you.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's all right.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't bother me.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: I said, I value his opinion.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: I love talking sports with him.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, whatever.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm not going to get into this.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: This is not a session to revenge, though, because I'd be too easy.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not going to do that.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: How do you, does H.A.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: stay because of this?
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: Or do you think that doesn't really matter?
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you can tell him what he wants, but it's not like you have Joe Barrow, a quarterback.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like you have Josh Allen at quarterback.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like you have Matthew Stackford at quarterback.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I am not gonna say deck press cut.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just, I'm not gonna go there because that would really piss people off.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he is a better passer in a pocket than jail and hurts forever.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, clearly, yeah, clearly.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: But in the pocket, for sure.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: In the pocket.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: But he's still got to get somebody to throw on the ball and see when he's open.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: So you can run all these different... You think AJ's problems are not with the offense.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's with the quarterback.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: You're one of the only people in Philly that's saying this.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: Most people are saying that AJ hates the offense, not the quarterback.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he hates the hate of personally, but not hate him personally, but not hate him personally.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't like the offense, but
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's, you know, he's, when he's wide open, I'm, well, I, I don't forget a lot of things.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: Brian Babel said he was, AJ Brown was wide open the whole time they were watching.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm okay.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: He was the head coach of the giant.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: I only saw, I don't watch the, the tape, but it's not even tape anymore.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: Twenty-two.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: Twenty-two.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean the coaches, the coaches.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: So they see when a guy's open and AJ, I'll see when he's open.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: And he was pissed and I got reamed out for reporting what I saw, which was not a knock on AJ.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: He was a third down, he was wide open, wide open.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: And it was an incomplete pass.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: Well, actually, whatever it was, incomplete or sac, whatever, an AJ was wide open.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: He came over to the sidelines.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: and, you know, through his helmet down and sat down, he stayed by himself, so he didn't bother anybody, to his credit, which I made a point, to his credit, he didn't go up to the quarterback and say, man, I was wide open.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't go up to anybody else and say, what the hell is going on?
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: But there was a question about why he was upset, and I saw why he was upset because I was standing there, and I saw he was wide open.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: How many times, if I saw that one time, you think that was the only time?
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: No, no.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: Can you believe that this year will be the end of Jalen Hurts 26?
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's a tough question.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: They gotta get a quarterback.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: to get, well, no, for this to be the last year, they've got to get a quarterback.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: So is that easy where they pick in the draft?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, wait a minute, I'm watching something in Seattle right now, or I watched a guy who was fired five times, who makes 30 million dollars a year, 37 million dollars, get to the Super Bowl with a quarterback who's okay, not a league.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's a really good player.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: So to me Howard, I think what Sam Darnal has done, it makes me go like this, how he rose me, it's all the roses for the way he builds the roster.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: You're telling me I can get to a super bowl with a guy like Jimmy Garakolo and Sam Darnl and I don't need an elite guy.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: Me, jail and herch is not elite.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: jail and herch is a good player.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's like the rest of those guys.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's just got a lead roster and last year when the roster wasn't elite.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Howard, we saw it against the 49ers.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: They got beat by a JV team.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I am.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what quarterback's out there.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, the comment I made is that it's not jailing her it's last year with the Eagles, if they haven't done a quarterback yet.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: So here would be the thing.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: They pick up a quarterback and they'll pick up a quarterback.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_00]: They always do.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: And you hope you get lucky with somebody because they'll probably trade Tanner McKay because he's going to want a bigger contract than they're not prepared to do that.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: So they'll probably trade him.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: And you got to find another quarterback before you get rid of this quarterback.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now they'll try to find another quarterback and just because they always do because you got to have somebody else just in case he's got two bad years in a row.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I can't say that this is his last year if they don't find a quarterback.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: Will he get much better?
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, how many years do we have to wait for him to get much better?
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: Would you take Baker, may feel, though, over him?
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: Baker's going to be a free agent next year.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know what he would get.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: Baker's a tough guy and he's smart and he's just, yeah, but I take him right now.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know what he would get, but
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: The questions, what I take Baker may feel, yeah, because I think he can do more things with the offense, is he as athletic, no, but can he do more things if you change the system, yeah, he's a free agent after this year, after next year after next year.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, then you got it.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they're going to go into this year anyway with him.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if I'm Baker, I mean, if the Buccaneers don't give me 50 million and they want to just go in and kick the can down the road and allow me to go in to be in a free agent and play out that last year, which I think they're going to do anyway.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, man, I might want to get on that open market and see what the Eagles and some other teams like Minnesota have to say, because there's going to be teams out there that are going to be looking for a quarterback and if I'm Baker, I may want to go out there and test myself and see what the market says.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: We're Minnesota, but that's another story.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know that they're done with McCarthy yet, but whatever the case may be.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh boy, that would be a tragic mistake if they don't think they're done with that guy.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, sometimes it takes a time to do it.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: It does, but, okay, you know, you don't develop like Bonyx developed.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think Jackson Dart next year with new coaches will develop.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_00]: New York Giants NFC East champs next year.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: Would you like to check our engines in that offense right now as a stopgap guy?
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: Would I put who?
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: Kurt Cousins in that eagle offense right now as a stopgap until you found a guy.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's not.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's will never be anywhere near what cousins is in the pocket.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's life.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but gear not going to win with cousins.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: This team is under pressure because of this city and because of these fans, when we're at Milton Williams Center, what do you say?
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I forget what he said.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, he, he, Mel Williams said the turns between Patriot fans is, they don't, they don't get, they don't want to get in trouble.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm paraphrasing.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: And he said Eagle fans don't give a shit.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: And if it's not, oh hell, we'll break loose and I don't know that the new offensive coordinator is going to get that done and there's other elements to the team member comes down right what's the owner thinking right now in your opinion you know the guy what's what's he seen what's he thinking right now because he's the one that shovels the deck and he's the one that puts the cards on the table for everyone to play what's he's
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's thinking the quarterback's got to get better.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's any question.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's any question he's thinking the quarterback's got to get better.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's why the changes have been made is that this is why he has to get better.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the changes were made because Kevin the Tula couldn't be back next year as the offensive coordinator.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason he couldn't is because the fans
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: and they paid too much attention to some of these networks because, you know, when you get a guide, when you get his kids being ripped in school, and that's disgusting, and people egging his house, that's disgusting, so he couldn't and he knew it, and it wasn't, I'm telling
- 32:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say apparently, but from what I understand nobody really, or many people did not want to come here.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: If Frank Wright doesn't want to come to play to be the coordinator for his buddy and help him out, that's got to speak volumes, doesn't it?
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: To go to a team without a quarterback, got to speak volumes.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: I want to ask you this question that I asked Angela,
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: Who?
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: I want, I asked Angela, I want to ask you.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: So Robert Craft has been to 11 Superballs now with three different regimes.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: K, parcels and Blutso and Brady and Bella check and now variable and May.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: What's your Blutso, Blutso, Blutso did, yeah, did, Blutso, Brutso and parcels went to the Super Bowl.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: When, oh, yeah, then Brady came in in that game.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so they had blood cell and parcells.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: And then, no, no, what you're thinking is is that blood cell won the FC Championship game because Brady got hurt and the vision around.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then they put Brady back in for the Super Bowl that year, I believe he gets the Rams.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: With him always, it was like a minute and something left and then it was late in the game, I think, right, because he got hurt.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: He got hurt right and so.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: Right, okay.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: Here's, okay.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: My question is, what makes Robert craft?
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: a better owner than Jeffrey Laurie.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's been 11 Superbols.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: This is 11, he's one six.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's got 11 AMC championships.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Philadelphia Eagles have left a couple Superbols on the table with the way they manage the team sometimes.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: With stuff like this, that's going on.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I show who were the quarterbacks for their super rolls black so you had blood cell and parcellus that was the coach you had Brady and the blood cell and parcellus when the super bowl with the beat they got beat by the past okay, I said I didn't want to super ball so they got no, but they got there.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: three different guys that got there.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: What makes him a better owner?
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: No, figure this out Howard.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: Since 1994, I think Jeffrey bought the team in 95.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: Since 94, he's been the 37% of the Super Bowl's the Patriots.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's he every two years, every three years.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: The Patriots have been in that game.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: Why is that?
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he a better owner than Jeffrey Lord?
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that he's a better owner.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that he's a better owner.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: I just know that they had a whole of fame coach in Bill Parcells.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: They had a whole of fame quarterback, whether he gets voted in on the first ballot or not.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think just to make a statement, Brady should not get it on the first ballot so people so we can hear all this one.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: What did he reach out to?
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: Peter.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: Why not?
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: Why would Andy read?
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: And he read us and have the resume bill checked us.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't cheat.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: Well, again, okay.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't cheat.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: So wait a minute.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: Brady did in the flight gate.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: That I'm not going to do with Bill.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Bill was, was the head coach.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: So he's, wait, so Brady's back there fishing around with his buddy.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: There's folks in the footballs.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's on Bill.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, Bella checked cheated with the, with the, whatever you call it.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: The spiking.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: The spiking.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: So he cheated with that.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: So they both cheated.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: And they both knew each other were cheating.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: And so they both knew each other were cheating.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: So you think we justified they didn't go in.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're going to get in.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: What's the big deal?
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get in in the first ballot, like who cares?
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: Really who cares?
- 35:47[SPEAKER_00]: And owners don't get, owners don't get in there that quickly, anyway.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: I personally don't think owner should be in probably not probably not it the owners that are in our public Georgetown us right but it was coach too if I you know I can't remember back okay so and Jerry Jones because he buys his way in but who what are their owners are in there
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it broke bell kind of was the beginning of the NFL.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: It was in front of me.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just giving you good.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: I said.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, so, but craft not getting in on the first ball.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a big deal.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm bellachie, not getting in on the first ballot.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think is a big deal because you got to penalize him a little bit for cheating.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: You got to penalize, and that's not a penalty.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: I get it without Tom Brady, he's got a losing record.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't want to hear about assistant coaches and he went to other super balls.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the party wasn't a first ballot.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: So you keep just keep it perspective and lump party was one of the greatest coaches.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: There was, it's just, but that's not even an owner, that's a coach.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: So, no, I don't know that Jeffrey Louis spends robbered craft spends, you know, you have a cap, but there's other things to make the players comfortable.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, a little thing.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: The Eagles wanted their players to be healthy.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: So I know at one point, I don't know how many years ago, Jeffrey Laurie approved organic
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: for the team, that cost like $400,000 more a year to buy organic foods.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: So he would spend the money.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like he doesn't want to spend the money.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think he's a bad owner.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: I want you to know that.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think so.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he is.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think he's a good owner because he'll do, does he say yes or no on some decisions?
- 38:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it wasn't for him.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Nick Serriani would have been the coach.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think it would have been Josh McDaniel, which is an awful head coach.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: So, good assistant.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right, yeah, good assistant.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_00]: That was buddy Ryan, good assistant, but bad head coach.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Jeffrey Lori, you know, got in a decision about kicker and when that kicker was a stiff, it was a guy who was with Dallas that came to the Eagles, I forget, he's with coach with Dallas now.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: But, and then he just stopped.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, he says, hey, listen, why?
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and you lay it out for him.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: And he says, you know, and if he, and he trusts his people, he says, yes, not all of his decisions are good ones, but I think Jeffrey Lori is a good owner,
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: And in a Robert craft, come on, Robert craft had Bill Parcells.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: He had Tom Brady and he was in a week, week division.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_00]: Those teams sucked for years.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: He was picking good people though.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, variable looks like a great hire, buddy.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he was.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: And he's, you know, I bought a family.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Jeffrey, he had since he's owned the team.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I've made this point to you since 2000.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: They've never had a losing record coach.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that includes Ship Kelly.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, he does make tremendous hires as the head coach.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: I just think sometimes their process gets in their own way.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the thing about you're taking basically a quarterback coach as a head coach who eventually might be
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we'll be one of the top three coaches all time in football and Andy Reed might be the best all time.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: We got to have the old time.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: He might pass you.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he was a quarterback coach for the Green Bay Packers for a whole grand.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the ended up losing that super ball.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: before he came here.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: It was in San Diego.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: I remember being there and actually talking to Ray Rose said, you had to go talk to Annie Reid.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_00]: I said, who?
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: I said, Andrew.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: And Annie was sitting at the table by himself for the news conference at Super Bowl.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: And he remembers that, um, here Reid and the USA today, and which nobody reads in newspapers anymore.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's sadly enough.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, what's in your butt going out?
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: What's that?
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: Washington Post Board section.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: You see that?
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: They're 86.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, the Washington Post Board section.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's kind of.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we'll find in Cornhizer.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's where those guys came out of, you know, everybody in your city came out of the a square and now all of a sudden these newspapers now.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm gonna make a political statement on your show.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my, okay.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and you may not be in favor of it.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Bezos pays 40 million for a movie that is the worst movie in the history of cinema.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's the worst movie.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: It is the worst piece of crap, Melania.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_00]: So he gives her 40 million for garbage, for garbage.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: So he can get, you know, a government contract is really what it's
- 41:10[SPEAKER_00]: But, and then he cuts his staff after he gets Malani a 40 million for the worst movie in the history of movies.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_00]: Total.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to say the other word.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, we cut this e's cutting the sports section from the post.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's supposed to save the Washington Post.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: Don't you get it?
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, all those sports guys.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, it will wait a minute to take some of that.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: Say some of it.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: Take all that 40 million.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: So people don't have to be condoned.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this was a great box office hit.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: It was fucking garbage.
- 41:45[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: Wait a minute, the president said it was one of the greatest movies of all.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: What's on you, sir?
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm moving critic.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's a great actor.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: I love the trailer.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's stupid.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's that trailer.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: Where he is, sir, during the election.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: You're watching the election?
- 42:05[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not watching it.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like to use that four letter word, but that was more than four letters because I had some of the next three letters on the show, but I couldn't help myself back.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_00]: It is just, but I'm pissed at him.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, listen, I buy stuff from Amazon because it's convenient and it's good and I get all that and he's made it.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: He talks, by the way, he's one of the names that are in line.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's all right.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's tried to buy, you know, but, you know, we'll see if they approve him or not, but, you know, because you got to get approval, then we'll be other people that want to buy the C-LOC.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: So, but the thing is, you know, really, I'm just so sad when people lay off people.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, in a business, and I know the newspaper business is not the, you know, all these papers are going to go non-profit.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how you get away with non-profit when you're trying to make a profit, but whatever the case, I don't understand all that.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, he lays off all these people, and he weighs 40, well, at the movie cost, I guess 75, 40 million, 40 million on one of Epstein's friends.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_00]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 43:56[SPEAKER_00]: Eastern Conference Champions, not the NBA Champions, the other 25-year anniversary the other night.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_00]: The other managing partner who has an equal sharing and a guy named David Glitcher was a really good guy.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: It was there.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Harris was not there.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_00]: It was right after the report came out about the Epstein files.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think there was a reason that he wasn't there?
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: Nah, probably not.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_00]: What's that?
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: Did you like Pat?
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: Pat Crows, did you like him?
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I used to work out with those guys when he used to work out the players' place.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's now.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_00]: I know, he's got a bunch of places but he's living in the keys.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I used to work out with the players when his place was maybe 15 minutes from my house.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I used to go out and work with work out with the players in the morning.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I used to kick their ass.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: All right, finally here.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: So you're all done.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone?
- 44:52[SPEAKER_00]: Everything I said was allegedly by the way.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: Very nicely done and probably a few are on this day, February 5th, you are saying the Philadelphia Eagles will have a down here.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: The quarterback's a stiff.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't say it was a step that your words.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, sorry.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: He can't win a by himself and sometimes quarterback's out to win a by him.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: How many teams get to and win a Super Bowl without a good quarterback?
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: Especially when a, you know, Brad Johnson won one.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_00]: It was a good quarterback.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: He was a good quarterback.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Austeller, but yeah, their defense was so amazing.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, yes, but I don't believe you have to have an elite quarterback to win a Super Bowl.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_00]: We just, in most cases, in most cases.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: What Nick Foltz was an elite?
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: He was for that game.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but that's not only guy, but he was for that game Do you think jailing her it's could ever have a game like that?
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: No, okay.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I thought I thought he's for a super bowl I thought the second one was a gift from heaven.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: I thought the first one he was really good in I did
- 46:06[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't Nick Folls-ish.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_01]: He has 70 yards of 350 yards of passing.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's 400 yards of offense.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you wanted to give you.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: When you need those Nick Folls, I think had 500 yards in offense.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Folls showed up as a substitute teacher and had a really good day.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he did.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he did.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: OK, now, he had a pass where he... All right, let's put this way.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: In 90%,
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: of the super balls don't you need in the lead quarterback.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yes, interesting stuff.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: The friends of what you think a lead is.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, do you think Sam Donald's lead?
- 46:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right now he's playing as in the lead quarterback.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's a lead.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to do it a few more years, but he's playing he really playing well.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_01]: How about if he wins this game, he's starting to win eight over, he would have won 32 or 40 ball games.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: an NFC title of Super Bowl would have thrown for over 8,600 yards in two years and over 65 touchdowns in two years.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, man.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, to me, that's more of an indictment on the organization's failing him than it really is.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be, and sometimes a quarterback, a light goes off, and sometimes, but the quarterbacks got to have him in it.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's very few USC quarterbacks that have been great quarterbacks in the NFL.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's the only one in the Super Bowl.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Carson Palmer was, uh, but not for a lot of years, U.S. C. Quarterbacks Sanchez was good, but not good enough.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: No, they know U.S. C. Quarterbacks, I mean, as, as you know, and for me growing up, the true stars on those programs were the old line, the running backs, and that the fence and players like say out.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: But they weren't really the quarterbacks.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Matt Liner's stunk, I never really had anybody.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: So what do you got coming up on the shows, maybe you've had some spectacular guests, by the way, great job on that jump.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, what did you take away from that John Harbour interview?
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: What was your biggest takeaway with him?
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: He was relaxed.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: He had John Harbour on, so make sure you guys check that out.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: What did you take away from that?
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to coach your team and do things to beat the Eagles.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he threw the commanders in there at the end, but to beat the Eagles.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to worry about the New York media because he's been coaching enough.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to worry about the fans and as he said, you know, the guy sent it him a, a, a, a, a notice one or a comment on social media guy from his basement sent it a note on social media.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's what he said, not going to pay attention to a guy, it said a message is out from his basement.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_00]: So he was good.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he was very.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I try to treat those things as conversations and not interviews.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I agree.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: It seems to get aggravated when some guy named stand from King of Prussia would call your ass.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't get aggravated, you know, I called him a dope or a hung up one of it, just, you know, fans aren't to coach, but hardball was very comfortable, very conversational.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: I can't believe how many, it's like 30 news organizations picked up quotes from, because John was just, he was, it was really good, and that's, that's what John is, and that's
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: Now he was great, and you know, and I had John Calapario and last night, he was great too.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's got an issue with all the wrong things with the portal and you know, transfers and NL.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't have a problem with players making money, but any coach Tyre Smaxi, it can talk to you.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_00]: So we talked about that a little bit.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: I have one last thing I have to ask you yesterday.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_01]: actually coach a lot of players but time is maxi place for the six years yeah he he when he was at UMass he was spectacular up there yes he was he told you was coach Marcus can be up there and that thing was really great um yes today was the eighth anniversary of the Eagles winning their first home yep he's curious for you that born and raised lived there talk sports your whole life
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: What did that day mean to you?
- 50:34[SPEAKER_01]: What did you think when all of a sudden, the thoughts were, it was never gonna happen, and it happened, and it happened to get so that style of happening, it gets Brady and Bella checked.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: What did you think, what would you take away from that night eight years ago?
- 50:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Gettius personal insight.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have time during the game.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_00]: to get caught up in the emotion of it, because there's so many things going on, and I really do pay attention to what's going on.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: A sideline reporter should not just be a figurehead, should bring information to the broadcast and not just the injuries, which they give you anyway.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_00]: So there's other insights to it.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_00]: So, and I always try to do that, but during that game, I was so caught up in everything that went on.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then, with about after the strip sack by Brandon Graham, yeah, by Brandon Graham, I said, they're going to win the Super Bowl.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I caught up emotionally.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: I really did, you know, it's my job to do my job.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_00]: And not let emotion play into it, which a lot of sports people do nowadays.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_00]: and not the emotion, they just kiss ass.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, how do you not get choked up a guy like you that's been, this has been your life.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was with about, you know, I'm saying about a minute get a minute left, they're gonna win the Super Bowl.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna win the Super Bowl.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I saw when I was a little kid, I saw the championship, the 60 Eagles team, still have my ticket.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how I kept the ticket.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: 60 Champion, they beat Vince Lombardi, his only playoff loss in his career.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_00]: The 60 Championship Eagles with great players.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_00]: And, but that was so much because it was such an intense,
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: action and action, and even Doug Peterson, and I put those, and I had him on a few weeks ago, we talked about everybody remembers the Philly special.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the Philly special.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_00]: That was before the half in the first half.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: I said Doug, eliminate all the, you know, and it was a great trick play.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: But eliminate that, what was the biggest play?
- 52:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll never forget this play, fourth and one, there was a past as hackers, and they got two yards on the play.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_00]: That was a drive that gave them the lead, and if they didn't, and Doug pointed this out, Doug Peterson, if they didn't get the first down, it was a short field for New England.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: They already had gotten the lead.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_00]: And that was big.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_00]: And then on that drive Zachard scored the touchdown.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many things in that game, but that was lined up with where that play was and I'll never, ever forget it.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yesterday was the February 4th, 2018 was the eight-year anniversary of the greatest Super Bowl in Eagle's history.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, listen, all Super Bowl's are great.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_00]: But there was nothing like that.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing will ever, ever compare in Eagle's history to that Super Bowl.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: And that was everything.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_00]: And the, the locker room was great.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_00]: The great chemistry.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_00]: Not a lot of wine and ambition like players do.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: They just, they all kind of hung together and played together.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_00]: And it was the best chemistry I've ever seen in a locker room and all the years
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: And it was also the 60, would have been the 61st birthday of Jerome Brown.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: on February 4th.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: Jerome was born on February 4th.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I thought it was kind of appropriate that, you know, I mean, thanks for meant to be that he was meant to be an eagle and Norman Braiman knew him years ago when he used to come over from the Cadillac dealership.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_01]: We all would become an eagle and on the day you guys had the greatest moment, one of the greatest eagles of all time was born on that.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_01]: And he'd love being an eagle.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: I know that because I mean,
- 54:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I got along with him great, too.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_01]: He was a great guy because I was like, you know, he had a personality like Charles Park.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I knew him when he was at University of Miami, which was nice.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: And then when he came to Philadelphia, you know, I knew this guy from before.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it was I didn't realize it was his birthday.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_00]: But that Super Bowl, I will never, ever.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_00]: ever forget that Super Bowl trophy behind me is from that Super Bowl and they all look the same But that's from that Super Bowl.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's a phenomenal Howard.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_01]: It is always great Thank you so much again.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know man you and what day I got to get you and To all the other at the same time that would be a hoot is to watch YouTube guy know what I'm gonna tell you I challenge to we gotta you gotta get us in the same room
- 55:30[SPEAKER_01]: I, I, I challenged him.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_00]: I challenged him.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_00]: I challenged him.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_00]: And we would have sold out.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_00]: I had to promote it.
