- 0:00Speaker 1: It is news that many did not see coming. A
- 0:02Speaker 1: special prosecutor, not for Donald Trump, but for the president
- 0:06Speaker 1: of the United States of America. It's verdict was Centator
- 0:09Speaker 1: Ted Cruz Center. Nice to be with you in studio today.
- 0:12Speaker 1: You and I were just sitting outside watching this big
- 0:15Speaker 1: announcement and before I play Garland and what he had
- 0:18Speaker 1: to say on a scout on one to ten. How
- 0:21Speaker 1: surprised are you that he came out and said there's
- 0:24Speaker 1: a special prosecutor for a sitting president. Yeah, I'm not
- 0:27Speaker 1: surprised at all. Garland had to do this. He was
- 0:30Speaker 1: backed into the corner the instant. They found yet more documents,
- 0:35Speaker 1: first at the Penn Center, then in the garage, you know,
- 0:38Speaker 1: by the corvette. I don't know if they're like under
- 0:40Speaker 1: the spare tire where exactly they were. And then we discovered, oops,
- 0:45Speaker 1: we found a third bunch of documents at the residence somewhere.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I don't know if it's you in the cloak closet,
- 0:50Speaker 1: stuffed into his shoes. It's not clear Garland is miserable
- 0:56Speaker 1: doing this, but he had no choice. It was like
- 0:59Speaker 1: why a hostage video. I mean, it's face was, oh
- 1:02Speaker 1: my gosh. Yes, I can't believe what I'm even having
- 1:04Speaker 1: to read on National TV. This announcement is a big
- 1:08Speaker 1: damn deal. This makes the bidendoj's efforts to go after
- 1:14Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump a billion times harder and a billion
- 1:19Speaker 1: times more complicated. They are going, oh crap, o crap,
- 1:23Speaker 1: oh crap. Well, let's watch Merritt Garland and you can
- 1:26Speaker 1: want to play that. And before we get that, I
- 1:28Speaker 1: want to say thank you to Patriot Mobile or sponsor.

- 2:15Speaker 1: dot com slash Verdict Center. As you mentioned a moment ago,
- 2:18Speaker 1: take a listen for everybody out there. This is I
- 2:21Speaker 1: call it the Garland hostage video. When announcing a special
- 2:26Speaker 1: prosecutor to look into the sitting president nine States of America.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Earlier today, I signed an order appointing Robert her a
- 2:34Speaker 1: special Counsel for the matter I've just described. The document
- 2:38Speaker 1: authorizes him to investigate whether any person or entity violated
- 2:42Speaker 1: the law in connection with this matter. The Special Council
- 2:45Speaker 1: will not be subject to the day to day supervision
- 2:48Speaker 1: of any official of the Department, but he must comply
- 2:51Speaker 1: with the regulations, procedures, and policies of the Department. Mister
- 2:56Speaker 1: Herr has a long and distinguished career as a prosecutor.
- 3:00Speaker 1: In two thousand and three, he joined the Department's Criminal Division,
- 3:03Speaker 1: where he worked on counter terrorism, corporate fraud, and appellate matters.
- 3:07Speaker 1: From two thousand and seven until twenty fourteen, mister Hurr
- 3:11Speaker 1: served as an assistant US Attorney for the District of Maryland,
- 3:14Speaker 1: where he prosecuted matters ranging from violent crime to financial fraud.
- 3:19Speaker 1: In twenty seventeen, mister Hurr rejoined the Department as the
- 3:23Speaker 1: Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General. In twenty eighteen, he was
- 3:27Speaker 1: nominated and confirmed to serve as a US Attorney for
- 3:31Speaker 1: the District of Maryland. As US Attorney, he supervised some
- 3:35Speaker 1: of the departments more important national security, public corruption, and
- 3:39Speaker 1: other high profile matters. I will ensure that mister Hurr
- 3:44Speaker 1: receives all the resources he needs to conduct his work.
- 3:49Speaker 1: As I have said before, I strongly believe that the
- 3:52Speaker 1: normal processes of this Department can handle all investigations with integrity,
- 3:58Speaker 1: but under the regulation, the extraordinary circumstances here require the
- 4:03Speaker 1: appointment of a special counsel for this matter. This appointment
- 4:07Speaker 1: underscores for the public the Department's commitment to both independence
- 4:12Speaker 1: and accountability in particularly sensitive matters, and to making decisions
- 4:17Speaker 1: indisputably guided only by the facts and the law. I
- 4:23Speaker 1: am confident that mister Herr will carry out his responsibility
- 4:27Speaker 1: in an even handed and urgent manner, and in an
- 4:30Speaker 1: accordance with the highest traditions of this Department. Thank you all.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Have you ever spoken to the President about this investigation? Sir,
- 4:39Speaker 1: no questions. He walked out there as fast as he could.
- 4:42Speaker 1: You see him say it this way, you can tell
- 4:45Speaker 1: he's like, I've lost control. I can't protect Joe Biden now.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And if you look at a special prosecutor, they're gonna
- 4:52Speaker 1: dig and people are going to ask you this question.
- 4:54Speaker 1: So I'm going to ask it. Who is this special prosecutor?
- 4:57Speaker 1: What do we know about him? Is he part of
- 4:59Speaker 1: the swamp or a guy that may actually do the
- 5:01Speaker 1: job the right way? So let me say a couple
- 5:03Speaker 1: of things for the folks who are watching this on YouTube.
- 5:06Speaker 1: And this is one of our video episodes. You were
- 5:08Speaker 1: able to watch that you were able to actually see
- 5:11Speaker 1: Merrick Garland see the absolute pain and agony. For the
- 5:14Speaker 1: folks who are listening to this in audio, I can
- 5:18Speaker 1: just convey to you that I'm pretty sure the whole
- 5:20Speaker 1: time Merrick Garland was actually blinking sos. Yeah, And just
- 5:26Speaker 1: take my word for it. That visual que is there,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you know, it's striking. At the end of that clip,
- 5:32Speaker 1: he's asked a question, one question from a reporter. Have
- 5:35Speaker 1: you talked to Joe Biden about this? And Merrick Garland
- 5:39Speaker 1: rural turns walks away. We don't answer. No, stinkin questions
- 5:45Speaker 1: at the Department of Justice, no interest in accountability, no
- 5:49Speaker 1: interest in that's a pretty important question. What conversation have
- 5:52Speaker 1: you had with Joe Biden about this? Unwilling to answer it.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Who is Robert her I don't know. I suspect we're
- 6:02Speaker 1: going to hear a lot of discussion about that in
- 6:04Speaker 1: the next several days coming forward, the next several weeks
- 6:07Speaker 1: coming forward. I've met him. I don't know him well.
- 6:11Speaker 1: He was a former clerk to Chief Justice William Rehnquist,
- 6:14Speaker 1: as was I. He clerked I think six years after
- 6:16Speaker 1: I did, so we didn't overlap, but the world of
- 6:19Speaker 1: clerks is a pretty small, little ancestuous world. Before that,
- 6:23Speaker 1: he clerk for Alex Kazinski, who was a judge on
- 6:25Speaker 1: the Ninth Circuit, was at the time one of the
- 6:29Speaker 1: top conservative appellate judges in the country. Those are good signs.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Most people who clerked for Kazinski and rank Quist not liberal.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Our right of center, not one hundred percent ranks. There
- 6:45Speaker 1: are Rankuist clerks who are left of center, but most people,
- 6:48Speaker 1: if you're Kazinski rank Quist, are right of center. He's
- 6:54Speaker 1: been a prosecutor much of his career, a prosecutor or
- 6:57Speaker 1: a lawyer in private practice. I will say one one
- 7:00Speaker 1: huge red flag at the outset is Robert Herr was
- 7:06Speaker 1: Rod Rosenstein's right hand and for people that forget Rod
- 7:11Speaker 1: Rosenstein and how much of a figure he has been
- 7:14Speaker 1: over the last several years, explained that. So let's walk
- 7:16Speaker 1: through who was Rod Rosenstein. Rod Rosenstein was the deputy
- 7:19Speaker 1: Attorney General under Donald Trump when Jeff Sessions became Attorney General.
- 7:25Speaker 1: That appointment and Trump appointed Rod Rosenstein. That appointment was
- 7:29Speaker 1: a tragic mistake that visited enormous grief on the Trump
- 7:34Speaker 1: White House and the Trump presidency. Rod Rosenstein had been
- 7:38Speaker 1: the US attorney under Barack Obama for the state of Maryland.
- 7:42Speaker 1: He was the top prosecutor for the Department of Justice
- 7:46Speaker 1: in Maryland in the Obama DOJ. Look, Rod is not
- 7:51Speaker 1: a left winger, right, but he's a company man. He's
- 7:56Speaker 1: a DOJ company man. And if you look at how
- 8:01Speaker 1: the Department of Justice operates, all right. So number one,
- 8:04Speaker 1: like most places in Washington, there's an alphabet soup, so
- 8:09Speaker 1: the AG is at the top. The number two official
- 8:12Speaker 1: in the Department of Justice is the Deputy AG. And
- 8:15Speaker 1: in the acronym world, that's called the DAG. The DAG
- 8:19Speaker 1: is essentially and everyone calls him the DAG. The DAG
- 8:22Speaker 1: is essentially the chief operating officer of the agency. So
- 8:26Speaker 1: the DAG runs DJ day to day. And the way
- 8:32Speaker 1: the DAG does that is the DAG has a series
- 8:35Speaker 1: of lawyers reporting to him who are what are called
- 8:38Speaker 1: a DAGs, which are associate deputy attorneys General. I was
- 8:45Speaker 1: an a DAG in the George W. Bush Department of Justice.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I was an associate deputy Attorney general in each of
- 8:52Speaker 1: the A DAGs is responsible for helping the DAG run
- 8:57Speaker 1: the Department of Justice. Now you have multiple a DAGs,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and then you have one, this is where Washington really
- 9:04Speaker 1: does get ridiculous. One who is the principal associate deputy
- 9:11Speaker 1: attorney general who's known as the paydag. You can't make
- 9:16Speaker 1: this up. I'm not. I'm really not. That's the amazingly
- 9:19Speaker 1: in Washington could this actually make sense to people? So
- 9:23Speaker 1: when Rod Rosenstein was the DAG, he appointed as his paydag,
- 9:27Speaker 1: in other words, as his principal guy, his right hand
- 9:32Speaker 1: Robert her Now Rod Rosenstein is the one you'll remember
- 9:38Speaker 1: Jeff's sessions early on recused himself from the Russia investigation.
- 9:43Speaker 1: So Rod Rosenstein was responsible for that absolute garbage. I've
- 9:49Speaker 1: an investigation it was look as listeners of this pod no.
- 9:53Speaker 1: My last book, Justice Corrupted. By the way, if you
- 9:56Speaker 1: haven't bought Justice Corrupted, go by Justice Corrupted. There's an
- 9:59Speaker 1: entire chapter that will walk you through what Rod Rosenstein
- 10:02Speaker 1: did with the Russian Vistic investigation, with the corruption, with
- 10:06Speaker 1: the disaster. Rod Rosenstein is the one who appointed Robert Muller.
- 10:10Speaker 1: You want to talk about appointing special counsels, Rod Rosenstein
- 10:13Speaker 1: is the one who appointed Robert Muller started the whole
- 10:16Speaker 1: Russia fiasco to begin with, and Robert her was Rosenstein's
- 10:21Speaker 1: right hand. Now about a year into it, her got
- 10:26Speaker 1: appointed US Attorney for Maryland, the job Rosenstein had left,
- 10:31Speaker 1: and so he succeeded him and took over his US attorney.
- 10:34Speaker 1: What I don't know, and will this will come out
- 10:37Speaker 1: in the next few days, is how involved her was
- 10:41Speaker 1: in the whole Russia disaster, in the Steel dossier, in
- 10:48Speaker 1: the wire taps and surveilling President Trump. I don't know
- 10:52Speaker 1: his involvement or not, but we're gonna find that. We're
- 10:54Speaker 1: gonna find out and it's gonna matter a lot. The
- 10:57Speaker 1: fact that he was Rosenstein's right hand is not an
- 11:00Speaker 1: encouraging sign. Let's talk about the documents. There's two timelines
- 11:04Speaker 1: that I think are extremely important. One the timeline of
- 11:07Speaker 1: how many years these documents were not in a secure location.
- 11:11Speaker 1: If you look at the timeline of when the Pen
- 11:14Speaker 1: Center was even created, there are gaps of years where
- 11:18Speaker 1: these documents had to be in other places. I've talked
- 11:21Speaker 1: to people that have said they think these documents could
- 11:24Speaker 1: have been separated some I'm going to his house, to
- 11:26Speaker 1: his garage, so I'm going to the Pen Center. They
- 11:28Speaker 1: could have been separated multiple times. They could have been
- 11:30Speaker 1: also moved multiple times. And I doubt that it was
- 11:34Speaker 1: attorneys that were hired every time to move these documents
- 11:37Speaker 1: that he didn't know he had, even though they claimed
- 11:39Speaker 1: even this last week, which I think is still absurd, Oh,
- 11:41Speaker 1: my attorneys were packing up my office. Attorneys are not
- 11:45Speaker 1: traditionally moving companies. But if they were, how many other
- 11:48Speaker 1: times did they move these documents. The second timeline is
- 11:51Speaker 1: how long did you have these documents from the beginning,
- 11:54Speaker 1: Not just that, but also when did everybody know about this?
- 11:59Speaker 1: And it was for election? Day and there wasn't a
- 12:02Speaker 1: single leak on this before the midterms. Yeah, so the
- 12:07Speaker 1: timeline they've laid out some of the timeline. We'll find
- 12:10Speaker 1: out if that timeline is real or not. We don't
- 12:12Speaker 1: know right now. But what they are admitting they claim
- 12:15Speaker 1: they first found these documents on November second. Now, November second,
- 12:23Speaker 1: if you look at a calendar, is before November eighth,
- 12:26Speaker 1: which was election day. Now do you think it might
- 12:30Speaker 1: have been a problem if when they found them on
- 12:32Speaker 1: November second, they had admitted they found them on November second. Sure,
- 12:36Speaker 1: there's a reason they didn't tell anyone until after election
- 12:40Speaker 1: day because it let the press just focus on an
- 12:44Speaker 1: attack Donald Trump. Donald Trump, This is terrible, Look Biden,
- 12:48Speaker 1: how could you be so irresponsible? He? You know, everyone
- 12:52Speaker 1: knows you would never leave. In fact, we have one
- 12:56Speaker 1: of those Biden clips to remind people. Take a list
- 12:58Speaker 1: and look at this. This is Biden grand standing and
- 13:01Speaker 1: this is going to come back to haunt him, I
- 13:02Speaker 1: think for probably the next two years of his presidency
- 13:04Speaker 1: at bare minimum. Take a look at this. When you
- 13:07Speaker 1: saw the photograph of the top secret documents laid out
- 13:11Speaker 1: on the floor of Marlago, what did you think to yourself,
- 13:15Speaker 1: looking at that image, how that could possibly happen? How
- 13:21Speaker 1: on anyone could be that irresponsible? And I thought what
- 13:25Speaker 1: data was in there that may compromise sources and methods.
- 13:29Speaker 1: By that I mean names of people who helped, etc.
- 13:33Speaker 1: And it's just totally irresponsible. Now you look at that
- 13:38Speaker 1: before before I get your response. Okay, let's look at
- 13:42Speaker 1: the last question he answered today on this where he
- 13:46Speaker 1: was asked like, how could you be so stupid, mister president,
- 13:50Speaker 1: to have documents literally in your garage? Here it is
- 13:59Speaker 1: laid next year corvette. What were you thinking? Let me, uh,
- 14:06Speaker 1: We're gonna get a chance to speak on all this
- 14:08Speaker 1: God William soon. But I said earlier this week people,
- 14:11Speaker 1: and by the way, my corvette is in a lock garage. Okay,
- 14:14Speaker 1: so it's not like you're sitting out in the street
- 14:16Speaker 1: at any rate. Yes, as well as my corvette. But
- 14:22Speaker 1: as I said earlier this week, people know I take
- 14:25Speaker 1: classified documents and classified materials seriously, No you don't. They're
- 14:31Speaker 1: in your garage, man, Ben. All I gotta say is
- 14:34Speaker 1: karma is a bit yeah. Like the Democrats and the
- 14:40Speaker 1: press have been grandstanding, had been ridiculing Donald Trump, had
- 14:44Speaker 1: been going after him like crazy. At this point, it
- 14:49Speaker 1: appears Biden just keeps finding classified documents. First in the
- 14:53Speaker 1: Penn Center, then in the garage next to the corvet
- 15:00Speaker 1: at by the way. They also said not just in
- 15:02Speaker 1: the garage, they said, and in the room adjoining the garage.
- 15:05Speaker 1: They haven't said what room that is. Now, Look, most
- 15:07Speaker 1: houses I've been in, what is the room adjoining the garage?
- 15:10Speaker 1: A bathroom? Yeah, maybe the washing machine room or an
- 15:14Speaker 1: outside storage room with outside entry that's not exactly secure. Like,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I don't know what it is, but I think they
- 15:20Speaker 1: don't want to say what it is because like the
- 15:22Speaker 1: other the basement bathroom server right for Hill it is.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Maybe that's what's there. Maybe he's got Hillary servers. I
- 15:28Speaker 1: don't know that that's there. There's their speculation. Look, and
- 15:32Speaker 1: then Merritt Garland said, oh yeah, and they found something else,
- 15:35Speaker 1: Like they didn't say where. I don't know if it's like,
- 15:38Speaker 1: you know, under his pillow he sleeps snuggling it. Now,
- 15:41Speaker 1: I gotta say it's a little bit weird. And to
- 15:45Speaker 1: be honest, it's weird that Trump has these documents too.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I'm not now I will say past presidents, all of
- 15:52Speaker 1: them have had disputes with the Archives over their papers. Yes,
- 15:55Speaker 1: they want it for the Presidential Library, they want it
- 15:57Speaker 1: for their story, they want it for their time and
- 15:59Speaker 1: off is to show their accomplishments. I get that. But
- 16:02Speaker 1: to be clear so people understand this, the vice president
- 16:06Speaker 1: cannot declassify anything while they're not. He is zero authority
- 16:09Speaker 1: to declassify anything. And listen, I have served in the Senate.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I've never served as president or vice president, although I
- 16:17Speaker 1: tried damn hard, but I haven't. You know, Joe Biden
- 16:21Speaker 1: spent forty years in the Senate. I can tell you
- 16:25Speaker 1: in the Senate there is a zero point zero percent
- 16:28Speaker 1: chance that I have a classified document anywhere, because I've
- 16:32Speaker 1: never taken a classified document out of the skift. Like
- 16:35Speaker 1: in the Senate, the only place you handle classified documents
- 16:39Speaker 1: is in the secure room in the basement of the Senate.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And if people missed our last podcasts, you talked about
- 16:45Speaker 1: the skift. We talked about the rules and the regulations
- 16:49Speaker 1: and the protections of classified documents so that things like
- 16:52Speaker 1: this literally don't happen. Go back and listen that. Because
- 16:56Speaker 1: you explained how it works for senators, how it works
- 16:58Speaker 1: for people to have top secret clearance how it works
- 17:00Speaker 1: for people that work in our government, and having them
- 17:03Speaker 1: in your garage is never an appropriate location. Look, when
- 17:06Speaker 1: I was at the Department of Justice as an associate
- 17:09Speaker 1: Deputy Attorney General, I had a safe in my office,
- 17:12Speaker 1: a big safe that when I had classified documents there,
- 17:16Speaker 1: you would put in the safe and you would lock
- 17:18Speaker 1: the safe. The executive branch you encounter more classified documents,
- 17:25Speaker 1: so it's less surprising with presidents. It's interesting that Biden
- 17:31Speaker 1: as vice president seems to have these classified documents laying
- 17:34Speaker 1: around everywhere. One of the leagues said that these documents
- 17:38Speaker 1: dealt with Ukraine. Some of these did one of the
- 17:41Speaker 1: leagues that also ran and possibly China. There's a lot
- 17:45Speaker 1: of money that came in from anonymous donors to the
- 17:47Speaker 1: Biden pen center. Forty plus million dollars were being funded
- 17:50Speaker 1: by communist China on China in the place funded by
- 17:56Speaker 1: the Chinese. That's a good idea, yeah, and a place that,
- 17:59Speaker 1: let's be clear understand it was not considered a secure location.
- 18:02Speaker 1: He also obviously went off script. I'm sure staff is
- 18:05Speaker 1: furious that he said, well, it's where my corvette is
- 18:08Speaker 1: and it's locked in my garage, Like Hey, that's a
- 18:11Speaker 1: Biden vault here. Everybody calmed down. But when I mean,
- 18:14Speaker 1: this is not a secure location, especially before he became
- 18:17Speaker 1: the president. Again, like there's still people around his house
- 18:20Speaker 1: in Delaware now that because he's the president. But in
- 18:22Speaker 1: this time I was telling the two time frames. There
- 18:25Speaker 1: was years here where he had no Secret Service protection,
- 18:28Speaker 1: no protection at all. Vice presidents don't get protection afterwards.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Usually they're pretty much on their own afterwards. He was
- 18:35Speaker 1: gone from this residency in Delaware, which means there was
- 18:38Speaker 1: no one watching these documents. Well, but it was bias Corvette.
- 18:42Speaker 1: That's true, So that's safe. And I do hope we
- 18:44Speaker 1: actually find out where exactly in the garage, like just
- 18:49Speaker 1: in a pile of well even as they showed a
- 18:51Speaker 1: campaign ad and now people are zooming in and there's
- 18:54Speaker 1: a little pile of documentary ze papers and these and
- 18:57Speaker 1: these bags next to whereas corvette is. When he's pulling
- 19:00Speaker 1: the corvette out of his garage and back in for
- 19:03Speaker 1: some campaign you know purpose he had back in it.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I think it said twenty nineteen. So I also got
- 19:08Speaker 1: to say, why are they in this garage with this corvette?
- 19:12Speaker 1: Look at it. I've read lots of classified documents. I've
- 19:15Speaker 1: never seen one that I've said I want to take
- 19:17Speaker 1: this home. Now, I'm not Sandy Burger. I've never stuffed
- 19:19Speaker 1: documents down my pants. So I don't understand how Democrats
- 19:23Speaker 1: deal with this. But I don't know why these documents
- 19:26Speaker 1: were so special to him that he apparently is hiding
- 19:29Speaker 1: them throughout his house. Now, listen, let's set aside. We'll
- 19:33Speaker 1: see what this special counsel does. This is going to
- 19:36Speaker 1: complicate Joe Biden's life, but the person, how much is
- 19:40Speaker 1: it going to complicate it? I mean, this is this
- 19:42Speaker 1: one of those where your agenda gets derailed. And this
- 19:46Speaker 1: could get nasty because it could connect you as the
- 19:49Speaker 1: big guy and these documents. Because if these documents that
- 19:52Speaker 1: he kept dealt with financial issues or things or decisions
- 19:58Speaker 1: by our government that have a positive impact on his
- 20:01Speaker 1: son's financial dealings in Ukraine, Barisma, China and other financial things,
- 20:08Speaker 1: some of these documents could have dealt with those issues,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and if they did, the world of trouble gets vastly larger. Now, look,
- 20:17Speaker 1: we have no evidence, no indication right now of what's
- 20:20Speaker 1: in those documents other than people of leak that they
- 20:22Speaker 1: concerned Iran in the UK and Ukraine, if they concerned
- 20:27Speaker 1: Hunter Biden and Barisma business deals, and the whole world changes.
- 20:32Speaker 1: If they were documents that are relevant to questions of
- 20:39Speaker 1: official corruption by Joe Biden and Hunter Biden, that's a
- 20:42Speaker 1: big deal. But we have no indication to that now.
- 20:44Speaker 1: So it's that would change the situation pretty dramatically. Some
- 20:50Speaker 1: of this is going to depend on Robert hur and
- 20:53Speaker 1: if he is a straightforward by the book prosecutor, or
- 20:57Speaker 1: if he is part of the d state that manufactured
- 21:03Speaker 1: the Russia case against Donald Trump in the most corrupt
- 21:06Speaker 1: way imaginable, if he goes in and his approach to this.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Look the Biden Department of Justice. I talk about this
- 21:13Speaker 1: in the book Justice Corrupted. They appointed us a special
- 21:16Speaker 1: counsel to look at Lois Lerner. Yeah, and that special
- 21:19Speaker 1: counsel was a big Democrat donor who promptly said nothing
- 21:22Speaker 1: to see here. All fine. It is possible that this
- 21:26Speaker 1: appointment is entirely about optics and his job is just
- 21:31Speaker 1: you know, say, well, he's screwed up, but he didn't
- 21:33Speaker 1: mean to, and everything's fine. Never mind. That's possible. It's
- 21:38Speaker 1: also possible. Look, anytime you have a special counsel that
- 21:41Speaker 1: has the potential to balloon and get bigger and bigger
- 21:44Speaker 1: and bigger. Bill Clinton learned that, Donald Trump learned that
- 21:49Speaker 1: there's a long history of special counsels of their jurisdictions growing.
- 21:55Speaker 1: And so if that happens, that would be a big deal.
- 21:58Speaker 1: But even if none of that happens, this has dramatically
- 22:02Speaker 1: complicated Merrick Garland's life. It's dramatically complicated. We've talked on
- 22:08Speaker 1: this podcast at length. I believe Merrick Garland wants to
- 22:12Speaker 1: criminally charge Donald Trump. Yeah, does that take this off
- 22:16Speaker 1: the table in essence? Now, well, we've talked before about
- 22:19Speaker 1: the reason they leaked that they were going to prosecute
- 22:23Speaker 1: Hunter Biden. Now, remember they want what they've leaked is
- 22:25Speaker 1: they want to prosecute Hunter Biden on his personal crimes
- 22:28Speaker 1: that only implicate him and don't implicate his dad. And
- 22:32Speaker 1: you and I have talked about that. I think they
- 22:34Speaker 1: want to do that as political cover to say, see,
- 22:37Speaker 1: we prosecute Hunter Biden, we prosecute Donald Trump. Aren't we
- 22:39Speaker 1: even handed? This just changed that whole chessboard, because it
- 22:45Speaker 1: ain't complicated that if both Trump and Biden have classified
- 22:50Speaker 1: docks and suddenly the bidendj says, we're prosecuting Trump, but
- 22:53Speaker 1: not Biden. Even the lap dogs in the corporate media
- 22:59Speaker 1: like that question. You can't refrain from asking. And so
- 23:05Speaker 1: it's why Merrick Garland looks so miserable because he's looking
- 23:09Speaker 1: down the road and his plan of what he thought
- 23:11Speaker 1: he was going to do just got screwed up. And
- 23:14Speaker 1: I don't know where this goes. I mean, it really is.
- 23:16Speaker 1: And by the way, at this point, it seems every
- 23:19Speaker 1: day Biden keeps finding more classified documents. This may not
- 23:23Speaker 1: be the end of it. It may not be the end.
- 23:24Speaker 1: It has dribbled out. Now it's worth underscoring Joe Biden
- 23:30Speaker 1: and or his team knew about this six days before
- 23:34Speaker 1: election day. They hit it from the American people. They
- 23:38Speaker 1: deliberately hit it for the American people. Now do I
- 23:42Speaker 1: know if Joe Biden knew personally know, But they're one
- 23:44Speaker 1: of two scenarios. One he knew, which is probably the
- 23:47Speaker 1: case sure, or two if he didn't know. The only
- 23:51Speaker 1: reason he wouldn't know is if it's team deliberately didn't
- 23:54Speaker 1: tell him, so he could have plausible deniability and say
- 23:57Speaker 1: I didn't know. Either way, that deception to try to
- 24:03Speaker 1: influence the election is really corrupt. It's corrupt on a
- 24:10Speaker 1: level that he will now have to be held accountable
- 24:12Speaker 1: for if this prosecutor goes somewhere. Let's talk about the
- 24:16Speaker 1: job of the special prosecutor quickly, and by the way,
- 24:18Speaker 1: I will say, look, we're seeing this week. We're seeing
- 24:23Speaker 1: suddenly reporters asking real questions, press briefing. We're seeing and
- 24:28Speaker 1: not just reporters from Fox, we're seeing CBS, like suddenly,
- 24:34Speaker 1: the corporate media. It's it's gotten bad enough that they're
- 24:39Speaker 1: being forced to do their jobs. That's an important development.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Or is it that the useful idiot is no longer
- 24:45Speaker 1: useful and they're saying, we really don't want him to run.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Democrats clearly we're kind of hoping that if there was
- 24:53Speaker 1: a bloodbath in the midterms and the Senate was lost
- 24:55Speaker 1: and the House was lost, that they would then say,
- 24:57Speaker 1: all right, we need a new leader, right, don't for reelection.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Then it was very clear they were like, all right,
- 25:03Speaker 1: we got to stick with him now because they still
- 25:04Speaker 1: have the Senate. This could be their moment where they say,
- 25:07Speaker 1: all right, let's take our hand off of him, and
- 25:09Speaker 1: this may be our way to get rid of him,
- 25:11Speaker 1: and I wonder if the Democratic Party is now kind
- 25:13Speaker 1: of like, all right, we got through the midterms, We
- 25:15Speaker 1: don't want to run him in twenty twenty four. We
- 25:18Speaker 1: desperately want a new face. We got rid of Pelosi,
- 25:21Speaker 1: we got came Jeffreies. This is the makeover. Maybe in
- 25:25Speaker 1: the easiest way to make that makeover happen. So maybe
- 25:29Speaker 1: I will say, if you're a hardcore partisan Democrat, this
- 25:34Speaker 1: has been a really bad week. Yeah. And if you're
- 25:39Speaker 1: a hardcore partisan Democrat who is also a corporate media journalist,
- 25:43Speaker 1: which they pretty much all are, you can go after
- 25:46Speaker 1: Biden to try to say, Okay, it's time to ride
- 25:48Speaker 1: off into the sunset. We want the next generation of
- 25:51Speaker 1: Democrats to run. But that's a dangerous game. Look if
- 25:55Speaker 1: if your president resigns in disgrace or doesn't run in
- 25:59Speaker 1: disgrace because they're tarred by scandal, because they're facing criminal prosecution,
- 26:04Speaker 1: that ain't good. Yeah, it doesn't set well with the
- 26:08Speaker 1: next guy up for success well to win. And you know,
- 26:13Speaker 1: by the way, all of this is on top of
- 26:17Speaker 1: this week. What happened, Well this week, the FAA screwed
- 26:20Speaker 1: up and halted all flights for several hours, first time
- 26:23Speaker 1: since September eleventh, every fightay Bent ever happened. Oh well,
- 26:28Speaker 1: we got good data points from that Mayor Pete. I'll
- 26:31Speaker 1: play this Mayor Pete this week's We got some really
- 26:34Speaker 1: good dat out of this, Like this is good news.
- 26:36Speaker 1: We're gonna be able to overcome this. Take a look.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Now that the system is up and running. Our primary
- 26:41Speaker 1: focus is to determine that route cause and I've directed
- 26:44Speaker 1: FAA to figure out exactly how this happened. The timeline
- 26:49Speaker 1: piece by piece about what was known overnight, going into
- 26:54Speaker 1: last night and then coming out of it. So glitterers
- 26:57Speaker 1: or complications happen all the time, but we can't allow
- 27:01Speaker 1: them to ever lead to this level of disruption, and
- 27:05Speaker 1: we won't ever allow them to lead to a safety problem.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Can you promise that? I don't think so, Like, we
- 27:10Speaker 1: won't ever let this happen again. But we don't know
- 27:12Speaker 1: what happened, and we got some good data points. It's
- 27:14Speaker 1: almost like being a small town mayor is not really
- 27:17Speaker 1: qualifications to run a major cabinet agency when you know
- 27:20Speaker 1: nothing about the industry. Look you look at at Budajug's
- 27:23Speaker 1: tenure his first year in office. We had a major
- 27:26Speaker 1: supply chain crisis, which most people hadn't even have focused
- 27:30Speaker 1: on what the heck of supply chain was right until
- 27:33Speaker 1: the Biden administration screwed it up. In the middle of
- 27:35Speaker 1: the biggest crisis the Transportation Department has ever seen, Pete
- 27:40Speaker 1: Boodhajedge was on paternity leave and he wasn't at the office.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Then we saw just a couple of months ago we
- 27:46Speaker 1: were on the verge of a massive and major rail
- 27:50Speaker 1: strike again because the Biden administration had screwed it up.
- 27:55Speaker 1: And now oops, the FAA is not able to keep
- 28:00Speaker 1: planes in the air safely. And by the way, the
- 28:03Speaker 1: Biden administration two years in, does not have an FAA
- 28:07Speaker 1: administrator in place. They nominated the guy who runs the
- 28:11Speaker 1: Denver Airport who has no experience with issues dealing with
- 28:17Speaker 1: safety and aviation. Look run it. Running an airport is
- 28:22Speaker 1: totally different. And by the way, he has major scandal issues,
- 28:26Speaker 1: which is part of why the Democrats in the Senate
- 28:29Speaker 1: haven't moved him forward and confirmed him because it's not
- 28:31Speaker 1: clearly as the votes that could be confirmed. So two
- 28:33Speaker 1: years into it, they don't have ahead of the FAA.
- 28:37Speaker 1: That's a problem. It's a competus problem. Oh and by
- 28:40Speaker 1: the way, in the middle of all of this, they
- 28:43Speaker 1: also tossed out a trial balloon, let's ban all gas stoves. Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 1: that was just some random thing, an issue that came
- 28:49Speaker 1: out there, like we don't want you cooking on gas anymore?
- 28:52Speaker 1: Like what in the hell? Like this has been one
- 28:56Speaker 1: of those weeks. It's like, okay, you guys, uh, you're
- 29:01Speaker 1: coming up with some insane things and it's for all
- 29:03Speaker 1: virtue signaling. Can't can't wait to see what happens next week.
- 29:06Speaker 1: All right, as we wrap up, I want to do
- 29:08Speaker 1: something just interesting. As I was on my phone and
- 29:10Speaker 1: I was looking at at different doing research for this show,
- 29:17Speaker 1: I stumbled across an article in Britannica that I just
- 29:20Speaker 1: thought was interesting, which is the Secret Service code names
- 29:24Speaker 1: for US presidents. And I didn't know that though. This
- 29:28Speaker 1: so starting with JFK. JFK's codename. I have no idea Lancer.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I gotta figure that one out. Richard Nixon searchlight? That
- 29:40Speaker 1: actually makes sense? Water? Did I get that one? Gerald
- 29:43Speaker 1: Ford pass key? I don't get that one. I don't
- 29:47Speaker 1: know what that means. Jimmy Carter, you're gonna like this one.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Deacon that's actually pretty good for him. That makes a
- 29:54Speaker 1: lot of sense. Ronald Reagan, he's got it's got to
- 29:59Speaker 1: be a good one. That be a going because it's Reagan.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Raw Hide. That totally makes sense. That's just awesome. George
- 30:05Speaker 1: Herbert Walker Bush forty one, Timberwolf. I'm curious on that one.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Does that go back to CIA days? I don't know.
- 30:14Speaker 1: I don't know the history. Yeah, Bill Clinton, I've got
- 30:17Speaker 1: a lot, but I'm sure I'm gonna be wrong on
- 30:19Speaker 1: all of them. Horn Dog, Okay, perfect, God, I knew
- 30:22Speaker 1: I was right. Now. Okay that that that that's not right,
- 30:25Speaker 1: that's that's fake news. Okay, it was actually Eagle Bush
- 30:28Speaker 1: forty three. Yep, Trailblazer. I like that one. Obama. I
- 30:34Speaker 1: have a feeling they're gonna up his annie just because
- 30:36Speaker 1: it was Obama. Renegade. There you go. Trump, this one
- 30:41Speaker 1: is probably I would assume bad, but maybe they gave
- 30:44Speaker 1: him something decent at the beginning of his administration. Mogul.
- 30:48Speaker 1: That's totally accurate. And Joe Biden document. Celtic. They should
- 30:56Speaker 1: have at least gone with Corvette. Actually don't know if
- 30:58Speaker 1: it's Celtic or Celtic, but it's spelled Celtic one of
- 31:01Speaker 1: the two. It's maybe he's a Boston fanandel where you
- 31:05Speaker 1: know he's leaning in on the Irish. So that's not
- 31:08Speaker 1: particularly relevant to the pod today. I just saw that
- 31:11Speaker 1: and thought it was interesting, and I figured the folks
- 31:13Speaker 1: listening to the podwords I like it always bringing up
- 31:16Speaker 1: the fun stuff like that. Center. This is gonna be
- 31:18Speaker 1: a big story. We're gonna be covering it. We'll have
- 31:20Speaker 1: another pod come out on Monday. Don't forget if you
- 31:24Speaker 1: have not hit that subscribe or auto download button. If
- 31:27Speaker 1: especially if you're watching the video version. We have two
- 31:29Speaker 1: audio versions that come out every week, so make sure
- 31:32Speaker 1: that you download or subscribe. It's free. You'll get all
- 31:35Speaker 1: three episodes in the audio form. We do this one
- 31:37Speaker 1: obviously one tweek video and audio. So if you're watching
- 31:40Speaker 1: on YouTube or Facebook, makes you listen or other episodes
- 31:43Speaker 1: and we will see you back here for the next
- 31:45Speaker 1: Verdict with Center Ted Cruz on Monday.
