- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby it uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show. Well, I gotta tell you something everybody, And
- 2:15Speaker 1: this is great news for everybody that I'm or share
- 2:20Speaker 1: something with your principle of becoming successful at whatever level
- 2:26Speaker 1: you choose. It can be successful in the relationship, successful
- 2:31Speaker 1: in the family. Successes may be considered to you becoming
- 2:35Speaker 1: a homeowner. It could be being dead free. Your ideal
- 2:41Speaker 1: success could be sixty thousand a year, fifty thousand a year,
- 2:45Speaker 1: one hundred thousand dollars a year. Doesn't matter if you're
- 2:50Speaker 1: considering it, if you're wanting it, if you have a
- 2:53Speaker 1: desire to become successful. I want to share with you
- 2:57Speaker 1: the very beginning of that. If no one's ever done it,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'm going to say the beginning of it today. See
- 3:05Speaker 1: Scripture makes it very clear for us you don't The
- 3:12Speaker 1: only thing you need to become successful is already inside
- 3:16Speaker 1: of you. It's not an external need. God wouldn't do
- 3:21Speaker 1: that to you. He puts the core basis of everything
- 3:26Speaker 1: you need inside of you. So if you discover it,
- 3:31Speaker 1: if you tend to it, nurture it, fertilize it, and
- 3:36Speaker 1: water it, it grows, it branches out. Then it reaches
- 3:40Speaker 1: out externally and it starts grabbing things outside of there
- 3:44Speaker 1: to make it even bigger, stronger, better, lasts longer. But
- 3:47Speaker 1: in the very beginning, you don't need anything. It's all
- 3:52Speaker 1: within you. And if you cultivate your relationship with God,
- 3:57Speaker 1: it comes out, it flourishes. Now, let me tell you
- 4:02Speaker 1: that thing that I'm talking about is a God given
- 4:04Speaker 1: gift that He has given to all of us. We
- 4:07Speaker 1: all possess it. It is all within us that everybody
- 4:12Speaker 1: has a gift. Had somebody told me what I know
- 4:16Speaker 1: now back then, I would have saved myself tons of mistakes.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I just didn't know the principles. I had to learn
- 4:21Speaker 1: them all well. One of the principles of becoming successful
- 4:25Speaker 1: is your mind set. You got to get your mind
- 4:30Speaker 1: right now. This mindset is simply a decision that you
- 4:35Speaker 1: can make. I can't get it for you. I can
- 4:39Speaker 1: tell you what to do, but you got to make
- 4:41Speaker 1: the decision. You that's listening, have to decide. You know what,
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna go on and get at it. I'm gonna
- 4:47Speaker 1: stop renting. I'm gonna become a homeowner. You know what
- 4:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. I'm gonna stop living check to check.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna put a budget together. I'm gonna stop
- 4:57Speaker 1: stepping out on my family. I'm gonna go home. I'm
- 5:01Speaker 1: gonna get it together. I'm gonna stop using when you
- 5:05Speaker 1: make these decisions, that's correcting your mindset. Now. The closer
- 5:09Speaker 1: connection you have with God, the more help you get
- 5:12Speaker 1: sustaining the mindset. How many times have you started to
- 5:16Speaker 1: do something and you stopped? How many resolutions have you
- 5:19Speaker 1: made at the New Year and stop by February? Over
- 5:23Speaker 1: by me at January? Done in March? Because if you
- 5:29Speaker 1: don't have a clear connection with your creator to help
- 5:32Speaker 1: you carry out the other force out there. That evil
- 5:35Speaker 1: force is designed to get you not to reach your goals,
- 5:39Speaker 1: get you not to come to resolution with whatever the
- 5:42Speaker 1: resolutions are you made, so he can so you can
- 5:45Speaker 1: consider yourself not worthy or failure or unable to do something.
- 5:50Speaker 1: But the more things you are able to accomplish, the
- 5:53Speaker 1: greater your confidence goals grows. So we got to get
- 5:56Speaker 1: your mindset together. Your mindset is a decision that you
- 5:59Speaker 1: have to me. When you make the decision, you can
- 6:01Speaker 1: begin the process. Your mindset is also a will of yours,
- 6:07Speaker 1: a will along with the decision, a will, a willingness
- 6:13Speaker 1: to do right, a willingness to change, a willingness to
- 6:18Speaker 1: be better. It's going to then cause you to have
- 6:22Speaker 1: to make a decision to make a change of direction.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Don't go where everybody else going. You got to go
- 6:28Speaker 1: your way now, you can't follow the crowd. You got
- 6:31Speaker 1: to take a less travel path. You cannot do this
- 6:36Speaker 1: without changing your direction. You can't keep hanging with the
- 6:39Speaker 1: people you've been hanging with if you want to be
- 6:41Speaker 1: different because they're not. Then you have to develop an
- 6:45Speaker 1: obligation to yourself. You've got to say, you know what
- 6:50Speaker 1: for me and my family or if you don't have
- 6:53Speaker 1: a family for me, I owe it to myself. I
- 6:56Speaker 1: have an obligation to myself to be the best meat
- 6:59Speaker 1: that I can possibly be, to be the best self
- 7:03Speaker 1: that I can possibly be, to be the best father,
- 7:07Speaker 1: the best man, the best husband, the best wife, the
- 7:11Speaker 1: best mother, the best daughter, the best son, the best student,
- 7:15Speaker 1: the best employ ye, the best owner. You have an
- 7:19Speaker 1: obligation to yourself to give yourself a shot at the
- 7:23Speaker 1: best life you can. That's an obligation. You owe that
- 7:27Speaker 1: to yourself. Why would you not live the best life
- 7:30Speaker 1: that you possibly could. You have an obligation to yourself.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Why would you teat yourself like that? Why would you
- 7:37Speaker 1: take yourself and never allow yourself to see the goodness
- 7:41Speaker 1: that's already in you, to have the abundance that's been
- 7:45Speaker 1: promised to you, to go and explore all the riches
- 7:51Speaker 1: out there that's available to you. And but one of
- 7:56Speaker 1: the worst ways that you can rob yourself the joy
- 8:00Speaker 1: of your obligation is to keep comparing yourself to somebody else,
- 8:03Speaker 1: Because guess what, Man, that ain't your life. You ain't
- 8:08Speaker 1: jay Z and Beyonce, you're not You're not open. Instead, man,
- 8:13Speaker 1: that's not who you are. Quit looking around at everybody else.
- 8:17Speaker 1: That comparison of everybody else to keep you broken. It'll
- 8:21Speaker 1: keep you unhappy. You won't even be able to be
- 8:23Speaker 1: grateful for what you have because you steady talking about
- 8:26Speaker 1: what you don't have. That's not the way, man. You
- 8:29Speaker 1: have an obligation to yourself to be the best you
- 8:32Speaker 1: you can be, not the best them. You're not them.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Stop trying to be them. Be the best you. It's cool.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You got a nice little house. That's cool. You know
- 8:42Speaker 1: how many big houses is empty and feel with hate
- 8:45Speaker 1: and resentment. I'd rather have a smaller house feel with
- 8:50Speaker 1: joy in it than to go to a big man.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Prince got a line in a song that says, I realized,
- 8:57Speaker 1: in its best disguise, or pretty house don't make a home. Man.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Don't you know I know how true that is? So
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you now. Another part of
- 9:11Speaker 1: the mindset is taking dead aim at your life's goals
- 9:17Speaker 1: and ambitions. What are they? What are your goals and
- 9:20Speaker 1: your visions? What do you see for yourself? What do
- 9:24Speaker 1: you dream about? If you knew you couldn't fail at
- 9:27Speaker 1: whatever it is you were attempting, what would you go attempting. See,
- 9:30Speaker 1: that's what we need to be after. It's a mindset, y'all.
- 9:35Speaker 1: It's a decision, it's a will, it's a change of direction.
- 9:39Speaker 1: It's an obligation to yourself. It's taking dead aim at
- 9:42Speaker 1: your life's visions and goals. Come on, man, you got
- 9:46Speaker 1: to get your mind wrapped around this thing. You owe
- 9:48Speaker 1: it to yourself to live the best life you can be.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Come on, man, talk to God. God got something for you.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You just gotta check in with him. You're listening, ladies, gentlemen, girls, boys, things, animals, aliens, everybody.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I talk to one of them? You talk to who
- 10:18Speaker 1: a lien? You don't have no alien friends. So go ahead, man,
- 10:25Speaker 1: let me see you get out of this one right here.
- 10:27Speaker 1: So what y'all talk about? What y'all talking about? I'm open,
- 10:31Speaker 1: I'm open. It's a good way to start. She'll go
- 10:33Speaker 1: ahead to Okay, he's from Mars, he's my friend, and
- 10:38Speaker 1: he's been talking about how they haveing Mars quake. You know,
- 10:41Speaker 1: we have earthquakes, they have Mars quakes. So it's a
- 10:43Speaker 1: lot going on. This similarity to what's happening up, then
- 10:46Speaker 1: what's happening down? Yeah, I mean it's how you don't
- 10:48Speaker 1: have no friends? If I'm not worry about that. Where'd
- 10:51Speaker 1: you see boy come out of house? Sometime? Boy come, Steve?
- 10:58Speaker 1: How does he get to the house. You don't remember
- 11:00Speaker 1: the friend I used to play with when I was little. Oh,
- 11:03Speaker 1: I remember him, Marvin. We didn't see him either, but
- 11:09Speaker 1: Marvin the market he exists. Make me show angry. I
- 11:13Speaker 1: love Mark the Disney cart. Ye see, Jake, I don't
- 11:22Speaker 1: you got friends? Is anybody inside? Because I are? Is
- 11:28Speaker 1: that a question? Carlo? Seriously, I'm looking around the room
- 11:31Speaker 1: like he's got Martian friends. That yeah, when they show up,
- 11:36Speaker 1: When they show up, you're gonna need me. See, you're
- 11:39Speaker 1: gonna need me because you ain't had nobody to know
- 11:41Speaker 1: how to talk to him. That's your problem. You need
- 11:43Speaker 1: you need to get You need somebody like me in
- 11:45Speaker 1: your life. Martian friends. Heh yeah, yeah, yeah, they show
- 11:57Speaker 1: up although nothing but a helmet with some sneakers helmet
- 12:07Speaker 1: and so now that explains it. Okay, that's gonna be
- 12:20Speaker 1: my friend. I'm done with her. That yourself? You do, Tommy,
- 12:28Speaker 1: you got these shout as marshans? Do they look stick
- 12:35Speaker 1: just to helmet with it? Some converse sneaking, sticking up
- 12:38Speaker 1: on them and set eyes crazy. I know because I
- 12:45Speaker 1: got right now, he don't want to laugh. That's how
- 12:51Speaker 1: he looked in his football uniform. Okay, when we was little,
- 12:56Speaker 1: Tommy got a football uniform and that's how he looked
- 13:00Speaker 1: like a marsh But who's taller, you think though? Back
- 13:13Speaker 1: he got quiet you you here, all right, coming up
- 13:25Speaker 1: at thirty two after the hour, something funny. You're listening
- 13:29Speaker 1: to the Steve Morning Show. All right, this is according
- 13:33Speaker 1: to a new survey. Guys, the average American will spend
- 13:35Speaker 1: about one hundred and sixty five dollars and some change
- 13:39Speaker 1: on Thanksgiving dinner this year. Uh huh overall. Yeah, that
- 13:43Speaker 1: sounds per person. Yeah, that sounds really low per person. Yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 1: just that's average. That's the average. Yeah, they average it out. Yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 1: the high and the low and the average. Overall, two
- 13:57Speaker 1: point ninety eight billion, that's almost three billion will be
- 14:00Speaker 1: spent in the US on Thanksgiving dinner, with fifty two
- 14:03Speaker 1: million turkeys expected to be consumed. Fifty two fifty two
- 14:09Speaker 1: million turkeys expected to because them them turkeys right now,
- 14:14Speaker 1: so nervous pace up against that case. I got no
- 14:33Speaker 1: vod you know. When he get it. No, you have
- 14:40Speaker 1: got ten years. You know what Halloween turned? You think?
- 14:49Speaker 1: What's a turkey? Does have an explate? So they get it,
- 14:55Speaker 1: they get it. Yeah, he already know going in. What's
- 14:59Speaker 1: the average what's the lifespan of a turkey? Right? Yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 1: don't know? No, I don't think it is that long.
- 15:07Speaker 1: But don't you feel badly talking about it right now?
- 15:09Speaker 1: But you don't at Thanksgiving? Like I got a friend
- 15:15Speaker 1: that's a turkey. I don't have a friend. I don't
- 15:17Speaker 1: really care. I'm friends of the turkeys. I don't say
- 15:21Speaker 1: that the average lifespan of a turkey is ten years.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Ten years really, but that's probably a wild turkey a
- 15:28Speaker 1: ten years old, but they get all their life listens. No,
- 15:30Speaker 1: that's a wild turkey, wild turkey. Okay, okay, so like
- 15:34Speaker 1: a turkey, got to know here, butter ball. What's what's
- 15:36Speaker 1: the age of the How do you know? I think
- 15:41Speaker 1: about a year and a half, about a year and
- 15:43Speaker 1: a half. You know they inject them pretty good. Yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 1: they fatten them up. Yeah, they'd be swollen, they'd be
- 15:48Speaker 1: just big ass baby. Yeah, with y'all slowed up. So
- 15:56Speaker 1: I do have some ways that people can save money
- 15:58Speaker 1: on their Thanksgiving meal, and you know, of course guys
- 16:01Speaker 1: jump in here. So like, if you're hosting the dinner,
- 16:04Speaker 1: if you're if the dinner's at your house, you want
- 16:06Speaker 1: to save money. Make it a pot luck, they're saying,
- 16:09Speaker 1: so all the expenses go fall on you. Idea covered
- 16:14Speaker 1: that last year. That is not a good idea. Shell,
- 16:16Speaker 1: We disagree with pot luck. Somebody always got something in
- 16:20Speaker 1: the pot that ain't lucky to nobody. But you look,
- 16:27Speaker 1: what the hell, it's always full at the end. That's
- 16:30Speaker 1: my ham hock, lime of bean castle. What it's always
- 16:36Speaker 1: it's always full at the end of the night. Why
- 16:38Speaker 1: doesn't that always see that? Nobody ate that up the
- 16:42Speaker 1: street my boys on friendly every year sent to our house. Now,
- 16:48Speaker 1: imagine the casserole dish, the ones you like corning castro ground, Yeah, right,
- 16:54Speaker 1: throw back picture it full of lime of bean. Yeah
- 16:58Speaker 1: the picture, and whole ball potatoes split right in half?
- 17:04Speaker 1: Who the whole ball potatoes split in half? Now line
- 17:08Speaker 1: them up around the outside of the cash roll dish
- 17:11Speaker 1: looked like a fence made out of teeth, and then
- 17:15Speaker 1: put a ham hawk in the middle of the lima beans.
- 17:19Speaker 1: She sent that downy lima bean castle. Rollo and who
- 17:25Speaker 1: eat lima beans with potatoes, And the potatoes is split
- 17:28Speaker 1: in half and she lines the flat side up on
- 17:32Speaker 1: the middle, you know, the flat side of where you
- 17:35Speaker 1: cut the potatoes that's facing the middle, so the outside
- 17:39Speaker 1: looked like teeth, and then a ham hawk in the middle.
- 17:43Speaker 1: She sent that down the house every year. My daddy
- 17:47Speaker 1: he wanted to go up there because my mama kept stopping.
- 17:51Speaker 1: My dad was so bad. But but who the hell
- 17:54Speaker 1: she think we are? Why she think we fitteath this?
- 17:57Speaker 1: We cooked down here? She thinks we find the old dog.
- 18:01Speaker 1: He was so mad at helmets given castle role days.
- 18:05Speaker 1: That's when everybody think they supposed to bring a Well,
- 18:07Speaker 1: you got some people that it's just easily like castro,
- 18:11Speaker 1: don't do it? Why well, let me ask a cute
- 18:14Speaker 1: person on the show, Tommy, what is that dish not
- 18:19Speaker 1: calling up? Don't know he find that about ladies, y'all
- 18:32Speaker 1: know I don't say that. Hey, hold y'all, don't hear
- 18:35Speaker 1: him arguing about he follow that just blushing. Yeah, thank
- 18:40Speaker 1: your uncle. Recognize what is the dish that you famous
- 18:46Speaker 1: for making on things? Yeah? But it was definitely and
- 18:50Speaker 1: macaronian cheek. What's your mine is Jesse yam. I don't
- 18:55Speaker 1: make nothing else that thanks give it and my mother
- 18:57Speaker 1: in lawdon took over. I don't even do that. No,
- 19:00Speaker 1: what's shells junior? Swallowing? You know you show up for
- 19:05Speaker 1: tell you something? You in La. You can't be saying
- 19:07Speaker 1: that a lot. Okay, that was sad when you was
- 19:11Speaker 1: in Chicago, but you don't go around people for Thanksgiving.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I do. I didn't say that. You didn't see that?
- 19:18Speaker 1: What did your favorite? Swallowing? You don't don't put that
- 19:22Speaker 1: out there like that. I'm just telling Jay the question
- 19:30Speaker 1: your jokes is gonna have to be reading. That was
- 19:33Speaker 1: I don't cook nothing, carl it. What's your favorite? Dis
- 19:37Speaker 1: thank you? Mac and cheese to make? But I love
- 19:41Speaker 1: my mother in laws oyster dressing. She can make some dressing.
- 19:44Speaker 1: My mother lost and then my father gumbo sah. I don't.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I can't eat it anymore. But you can't eat what anymore?
- 19:51Speaker 1: See what I'm saying. You can't say nothing wrong? Can't
- 19:54Speaker 1: You gotta watch what you say? We're in La. Chicken
- 19:57Speaker 1: put it in a paper bag and shake it up
- 19:59Speaker 1: with the flower with it. That's how you fried chicken.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Put in that bag and shake it. You can't. No,
- 20:05Speaker 1: I can't friend. You can't do it. Fried chicken okay
- 20:07Speaker 1: because you gave up meat. No, because I'm a diabetic
- 20:09Speaker 1: that shouldn't be eating friedbets. Can't eat chicken. I didn't
- 20:12Speaker 1: know do like Boomerang do Boomerang for his birthday went
- 20:16Speaker 1: to Luby's and got a big hunker pink cake. He
- 20:19Speaker 1: ate it in the parking lot of the emergency. So
- 20:24Speaker 1: you're just not gonna ask me. Huh no, No, we
- 20:28Speaker 1: already know not to ask you. A matter of fact,
- 20:29Speaker 1: we'll be back talk to you. You get your own break,
- 20:32Speaker 1: and the nephews run that prank back to you're listening

- 21:11Speaker 1: to reach out and give you a call and see
- 21:13Speaker 1: if you would be on board or help signing a
- 21:15Speaker 1: petition that we're gonna have going around with VPE t
- 21:18Speaker 1: MC if you don't mind. Okay, what is it about, well,
- 21:22Speaker 1: BP E t MC Jason is uh, black people eat
- 21:26Speaker 1: too much chicken, and what we're trying to do is
- 21:28Speaker 1: cut back beat too much chicken. What the hell is this?
- 21:33Speaker 1: My name, my name is Remy, sir. Okay, what you
- 21:36Speaker 1: mean about black pe beat too much chicken? We've we've
- 21:39Speaker 1: done we've we've done a test study and we realized, sir,
- 21:43Speaker 1: the black people are the ones that are eating too
- 21:45Speaker 1: much chicken. And what we want to do is trying
- 21:46Speaker 1: to cut back because right now there's a times and
- 21:50Speaker 1: ask them they eat all time, the chicken, chicken, food,
- 21:52Speaker 1: young all this, yeah, chicken and white chicken, calligate all

- 22:00Speaker 1: bright person eat too much damn chickens. Did you ask
- 22:03Speaker 1: some white people? I bet you didn't know we're no
- 22:05Speaker 1: white folks. I bet you don't go to them, y'all
- 22:08Speaker 1: out of them. Uh. Well, so we're gonna we're gonna
- 22:10Speaker 1: get to that. We're starting in the black community. You
- 22:12Speaker 1: black people are the ones that seemed to buy the
- 22:14Speaker 1: most chicken. You know, chicken. Guess what, how don't we
- 22:18Speaker 1: eat chicken? And if I did, he's chicken. I' because
- 22:22Speaker 1: he man, we go. Are you thinking of something? You hey, Hindu,

- 22:31Speaker 1: We're actually we're getting numbers from the supermarket. Uh, and
- 22:34Speaker 1: we're getting a listing of people who buy the most

- 24:29Speaker 1: the black community is the black community, man, You've got
- 24:33Speaker 1: going with it. We can't get tableted. Then they'll be
- 24:36Speaker 1: calling my phone with the man Hello, Hello, I'm trying

- 24:51Speaker 1: and you I'm very well. Man. Listen, what we're trying
- 24:54Speaker 1: to do is, uh, if I take a little bit
- 24:56Speaker 1: of your time, we're trying to actually get a survey
- 25:00Speaker 1: by people in the black community. We're actually trying to
- 25:02Speaker 1: help out in the black community. But the organization is
- 25:05Speaker 1: BPE TMC. And what this is is black What is that? Uh?
- 25:10Speaker 1: That's that's Black people eat too much chicken. So what
- 25:13Speaker 1: we're doing is we're trying to get back say that
- 25:17Speaker 1: woman time for me. Black people eat too much chicken.
- 25:21Speaker 1: You see, there's been a shortage in chicken. So what
- 25:23Speaker 1: we're trying to do is get black people in chicken,
- 25:27Speaker 1: and you want to do a survey what we want?
- 25:30Speaker 1: What we want you guys to do with sign a
- 25:31Speaker 1: petition that you're not going to eat anymore chicken this year?
- 25:34Speaker 1: Why do we then make sense? We just stn't eat chicken.
- 25:37Speaker 1: You know, we eat beef, weat steak, eat fish. I don't,
- 25:41Speaker 1: So you're trying to part that off the market. Now,
- 25:43Speaker 1: why would you want to tell us not to eat chicken?
- 25:46Speaker 1: And we eat other stuff too? Why are you getting
- 25:49Speaker 1: there in front? Because this doesn't make any sense. The
- 25:52Speaker 1: test study, man was over chicken, and it just seems
- 25:54Speaker 1: like that this study. Who did this test study? Well
- 25:58Speaker 1: we did, man, We're bpe TMC. And what we're after
- 26:01Speaker 1: doing the test study, we did realize that the black
- 26:04Speaker 1: people are the ones that make your chest. I don't
- 26:06Speaker 1: just do after to black people. I'm gonna just use
- 26:09Speaker 1: white people. But white people eat chicken too, And she says,
- 26:12Speaker 1: I don't diets and stuff? Okay man, Well Asian? What
- 26:16Speaker 1: about the Hispanics? Did you use them? Okay man? Listening?
- 26:20Speaker 1: What the bottom line is, our first study is black people,
- 26:23Speaker 1: and what we're trying to do is get you guys
- 26:25Speaker 1: to cut back on Eachi. Yes, study should be everybody.
- 26:28Speaker 1: This is something when should get my number from man?
- 26:30Speaker 1: We got you, We got numbers from the supermarkets that
- 26:33Speaker 1: people that number from No supermarkets. I ain't give my
- 26:36Speaker 1: number to no supermarket. This is don't making me damn sense,
- 26:39Speaker 1: you calling me, interrupting me about something like this. This
- 26:42Speaker 1: is this wasn't bottom line, ma'am. You don't. You don't
- 26:46Speaker 1: tell me. You're not telling me put the hair and
- 26:48Speaker 1: I can't. You don't last mine. You got lifing them
- 26:52Speaker 1: push this out? Yes, you do, calling somebody telling them
- 26:56Speaker 1: black people eat too much chicken? You and your partian.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Would you like to hear what the survey is actually saying. No,
- 27:03Speaker 1: I don't want to hear that the survey is actually
- 27:05Speaker 1: saying because what you're saying about, but the survey is
- 27:09Speaker 1: saying that. This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey
- 27:12Speaker 1: Morning Show, Valerie, This is nephew Tommy baby from the Steawalker.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Oh and you have too much a masterpiece? Man is
- 27:35Speaker 1: the team Tommy bro bro bro bro bro Bro. You brilliant,
- 27:43Speaker 1: you brilliant man. All right, more of this crazy ignorant show.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 27:52Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, uh the
- 27:58Speaker 1: house guest for a person coming back for Thanksgiving that
- 28:02Speaker 1: you're not looking forward to? Sing? Who is it? My
- 28:04Speaker 1: mother in law's sister's husband. What? Who is that dog?
- 28:11Speaker 1: I don't even knowing? It's Ernest? Why the whole time here? Yeah?
- 28:19Speaker 1: Your mother in laws a dream. I love her, we
- 28:21Speaker 1: love her. And man, my father in law is the best.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Mom and daddy. I got the best. I never had
- 28:29Speaker 1: a complaint. Man, we're happy. We enjoy each other. They
- 28:31Speaker 1: can't stay in my house long as they were. Ye,
- 28:33Speaker 1: I love them. But her sister husband, what's wrong? I
- 28:38Speaker 1: don't know, that's what. That's what's wrong. I don't know.
- 28:41Speaker 1: So they come to dinner and they do what they doing.
- 28:45Speaker 1: We was having a prayer one time. My mom in
- 28:48Speaker 1: law said, let's all whole hands, you know, the huge kitchen. Yeah,
- 28:52Speaker 1: about twenty people. Everybody go around and say what they think. Yes, okay, naw,
- 28:57Speaker 1: I ain't like this here because there's too many people.
- 29:00Speaker 1: And I didn't know half the people that was in
- 29:02Speaker 1: the circle. So and I really don't care what you're
- 29:05Speaker 1: grateful fault because dinner is ready and we can talk
- 29:09Speaker 1: about this why we eat, you know, but what has
- 29:11Speaker 1: all this beforehand? And it got around to everybody, and
- 29:16Speaker 1: this one lady took a long time, but hers was
- 29:19Speaker 1: the best. So I broke from the circle and started
- 29:22Speaker 1: clapping because I wanted to try to end it with applause, right,
- 29:26Speaker 1: and you're not posted a clap doing prayer. But I
- 29:30Speaker 1: just tried to wrap it up and it kept going.
- 29:34Speaker 1: And I'm holding this dude's hand now, I don't know
- 29:37Speaker 1: nothing wrong with him until it got to him and
- 29:40Speaker 1: he started talking about what he was grateful fault. He said,
- 29:44Speaker 1: I'm grateful for the weather and that we had the
- 29:48Speaker 1: jacket's home and that the fact that you know, everything
- 29:54Speaker 1: at the grocery store is fresh, and that we can
- 29:58Speaker 1: go go by there, and I thank you. I thank
- 30:00Speaker 1: him for my cars too that come on in the
- 30:04Speaker 1: morning and take her safe. And then I want to
- 30:09Speaker 1: thank him for the freshness of the potato chips in
- 30:13Speaker 1: the bag. Sometime now I'm sitting now, I'm looking upside
- 30:18Speaker 1: his head, but my whole body trimming because everybody got
- 30:22Speaker 1: their head down except Winting is looking up in full
- 30:27Speaker 1: blown hollow mote at me face talk. I'm over here.
- 30:37Speaker 1: My whole body is shaking. I'm laughing so hard, trying
- 30:40Speaker 1: not to blurt it out. Gives my mother in law
- 30:44Speaker 1: she holding my hand on the other side, she squeezes
- 30:47Speaker 1: my hand to try to help me through it. That
- 30:49Speaker 1: ain't stopping nothing. I got. Who is this man? Then
- 30:54Speaker 1: my other son, Steve, he opens his eyes and he
- 30:57Speaker 1: starts snickering. My son owns me and my son's is
- 31:01Speaker 1: in hollow mode. Harvey boys this to us, yil yeah,
- 31:07Speaker 1: and I've given him for permission that laughing stuff like that.
- 31:11Speaker 1: So I looked over to the left of the circle
- 31:14Speaker 1: and my wife is glaring at me with them a
- 31:16Speaker 1: little green eyes. I'm talking about glaring if you don't squit,
- 31:21Speaker 1: if you don't pull it together like when she said that.
- 31:27Speaker 1: And then I thank the Lord. I gotta tune up
- 31:30Speaker 1: the other Yeah, I had to let everybody head go
- 31:38Speaker 1: and leave the circle. I got a tune up. Yeah,
- 31:41Speaker 1: thank god, I gotta tune up. The other day, I
- 31:43Speaker 1: went in my office. I'm holly, I'm holloing. Next thing,
- 31:48Speaker 1: I look up winting in the office with me because
- 31:50Speaker 1: he couldn't handle it. The I love it. That was
- 31:54Speaker 1: it I love it, So you don't want him to
- 31:57Speaker 1: come by this year? Man, Please don't, please, don't let
- 32:01Speaker 1: him speak? All right, Steve. Time for today's headlines, ladies
- 32:04Speaker 1: and gentlemen, Miss Anne Tripp, thank you very much everybody,
- 32:08Speaker 1: and good morning. This is entered put the news. Well,
- 32:10Speaker 1: let's start out with the weather, because the weather is
- 32:11Speaker 1: one of the big stories. The winter storms have fouled
- 32:14Speaker 1: up Thanksgiving travel plans for a lot of Americans. The
- 32:17Speaker 1: snow and the ice moving east. They suck a bomb
- 32:20Speaker 1: cyclone apparently from the Great Planes into the Middle East.
- 32:23Speaker 1: If you Middle East, Midwest, and if you look at
- 32:25Speaker 1: TV some of the TV pictures of what's going on there,
- 32:28Speaker 1: you would think it's January or February, as are usual
- 32:31Speaker 1: for this the biggest travel week for US residents. The
- 32:34Speaker 1: roads are really heavy, the lines along at the airports.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Expect some delays and cancelations. Get out early, if you
- 32:39Speaker 1: haven't left yet for Grandma's house, get out early now
- 32:43Speaker 1: early is the thing, and that no matter how you're going,
- 32:45Speaker 1: whether you're traveling by car or by rail or by air,
- 32:49Speaker 1: just get out there. And it continues. First it was
- 32:52Speaker 1: the House Intelligence Committee, now the House Judiciary Committee is
- 32:55Speaker 1: appearing to launch his own impeachment hearings into the president
- 32:58Speaker 1: to president's actions regard in Ukraine, listed to begin next
- 33:01Speaker 1: week on December fourth. The House Intelligence Committee is to
- 33:05Speaker 1: issue its impeachment reports sometime after this week, and the
- 33:08Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee is suing US Attorney General William Barr
- 33:12Speaker 1: and Common Secretary Wilbur Ross over internal documents about the
- 33:16Speaker 1: Trump administration's effort to get a citizenship question on that
- 33:19Speaker 1: twenty twenty census. The administrations refused to release complete copies
- 33:23Speaker 1: of emails to the Congress that indicate that the Trump
- 33:25Speaker 1: that people had a real reason for pushing for it.
- 33:28Speaker 1: The three federal courts had permanently blocked any citizenship question
- 33:31Speaker 1: by the way from appearing on the census forms, in
- 33:34Speaker 1: part because the judges said they found the administration supposed
- 33:37Speaker 1: the justification for adding a census question bogus and shady.
- 33:42Speaker 1: According to a new report, death rates in the US
- 33:44Speaker 1: are up for people between the ages of twenty five
- 33:47Speaker 1: and forty years of age. Those higher death rates due
- 33:49Speaker 1: to suicide, drug overdoses, liver disease, murder, and a dozen
- 33:53Speaker 1: other causes. So overall, life expectancy in the US has
- 33:57Speaker 1: been driven down for three consecutive years. Study publishing a
- 34:00Speaker 1: journal of American Medical Association concludes that despite spending more
- 34:04Speaker 1: in healthcare than any other country, that the US has
- 34:06Speaker 1: still seen really an increase of mortality and failing life
- 34:11Speaker 1: expectancy for those between the ages of twenty five and
- 34:14Speaker 1: sixty four. So now it's eating while black. A white
- 34:17Speaker 1: cop stopped and detained a black man for eating a
- 34:19Speaker 1: sandwich on the San Francisco Bay Area platform. Bart Police
- 34:22Speaker 1: acclaiming that mister Steve Foster broke the state law by
- 34:25Speaker 1: eating while waiting for a train on November fourth. However,
- 34:28Speaker 1: his girlfriend, who filmed all of it, said that the
- 34:31Speaker 1: sign say eating is prohibited on the trains, not on
- 34:33Speaker 1: the platform. The white cop calls for back up, and
- 34:36Speaker 1: you know how they can behave some of them. And finally,
- 34:39Speaker 1: today is National Pie Interface to day. Better a pie
- 34:45Speaker 1: interface today than tomorrow. That's going to be in your stomach.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 34:51Speaker 1: to show everybody given time, you're gonna be at your friends,
- 34:56Speaker 1: how you're gonna be at your mama's house, you gonna
- 34:58Speaker 1: be at religive house, whatever you learn to get you
- 35:00Speaker 1: in the living room, outside, on the porch or whatever.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Have these conversations, Shirley play Junior, Yeah, you had these conversations.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Well you have none of the information, right, You can't
- 35:13Speaker 1: remember Dan have him all the time asking people who
- 35:19Speaker 1: even down something like this, What was that guy's name
- 35:24Speaker 1: that she was with last year? You know the one
- 35:26Speaker 1: that used to lounge Darneil, wasn't it dark Nail? Yeah? Yeah,
- 35:34Speaker 1: I remember him. You know what I remember about him?
- 35:37Speaker 1: Who you asking again? Oh? The goat to j down
- 35:46Speaker 1: at the lounge, stay down at the lounge, Junior trying
- 35:49Speaker 1: to say he was down at the loud. Yeah, he
- 35:53Speaker 1: had one arm. He had one arm. I remember, you
- 35:58Speaker 1: can mix it. He can mix it. Though he was
- 36:00Speaker 1: I liked him though. He was good. He was he
- 36:03Speaker 1: was He was a nice guy. He was real. They
- 36:05Speaker 1: called him Red two dollars one red. One red called
- 36:10Speaker 1: him one red because he had one on one. I'm red. Yeah,
- 36:14Speaker 1: you're right, I can relate. How you How are you
- 36:20Speaker 1: doing with your arms? I'm worried that I'm not gonna
- 36:23Speaker 1: cut this turkey right on Thursday. That's gonna be my problem.
- 36:28Speaker 1: If you know you can take I heard now I
- 36:30Speaker 1: heard you could take to any gas station in town
- 36:34Speaker 1: and they will carve your turkey for you if you
- 36:38Speaker 1: buy five dollars with the gas. What's that five lottery
- 36:43Speaker 1: tickets and five lotteries? Yeah, what's that boy name? They'll
- 36:46Speaker 1: be out there cutting the turkeys at the gas. Yeah,
- 36:48Speaker 1: he'll be outside. He'll be outside cutting up your turkey. Yea, yeah, yeah,
- 36:52Speaker 1: do it? Yeah yeah, the red half red is red.
- 36:58Speaker 1: It is DJ red. That's what he do. He so
- 37:04Speaker 1: because he with the one all Yeah, well, you know, Tommy,
- 37:09Speaker 1: that's an option. That's just saying yeah, just saying, well, everybody, dad,
- 37:14Speaker 1: you have it. Those are some of the stupid conversations.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Nobody nod, Yeah, I have a happy Thanksgiving. You're listening.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Getting together with family for Thanksgiving can definitely be stressful,
- 37:45Speaker 1: really a stressful time for some people. Some families, all
- 37:48Speaker 1: those extended relatives in one place with different opinions, you know,
- 37:51Speaker 1: they're bound to set off a few fights. So most
- 37:54Speaker 1: people just tend to be careful of what they say.
- 37:56Speaker 1: They tend to be, you know, a little leary of
- 37:59Speaker 1: what's not gonna be in my house. That's what I
- 38:04Speaker 1: was gonna ask you. So are there some subjects that
- 38:06Speaker 1: you're told that are totally off limits, that you don't
- 38:08Speaker 1: bring up or you just do whatever because no, this
- 38:10Speaker 1: is my house. I say what I want to say,
- 38:12Speaker 1: but I tear what. I don't allow in my house
- 38:15Speaker 1: anybody to just pray, like over the food. You mean, yeah,
- 38:21Speaker 1: I picks who pray like Pop Bridges, like Marjorie Daddy,
- 38:25Speaker 1: he could pray over the food. I don't like other
- 38:27Speaker 1: people coming to the house. That happened one time, Marjorie
- 38:30Speaker 1: whole family was that do you ever pray? Yeah, I
- 38:33Speaker 1: pray it'd be so short that we eat everybody my
- 38:38Speaker 1: Thanksgiving prayers saying as my grace. You know what's But Steve,
- 38:41Speaker 1: how do you handle that? Because if somebody's there and say,
- 38:44Speaker 1: well can I can I bless the food? Steve say no. No,
- 38:48Speaker 1: I say no, Pop Bridges bless it? Go head pop
- 38:52Speaker 1: and he jumped right in. It's pretty simple that ain't
- 38:56Speaker 1: now We had this lady. She told me, I want
- 38:58Speaker 1: my husband and bless the food. He does a good
- 39:01Speaker 1: Thanksgiving prayer not over here. Was he a pastor? I
- 39:04Speaker 1: don't know what it was, but he ain't hind to
- 39:05Speaker 1: do it up in him. You didn't give him a
- 39:07Speaker 1: chance because no, I don't know what it is those
- 39:09Speaker 1: people that are not pastors that but they ministers and
- 39:12Speaker 1: they don't get the rid of pre see right there,
- 39:14Speaker 1: ministers all that he got a really good Thanksgiving prayer?
- 39:18Speaker 1: What does that mean? My cousin? Wasn't this damn Turkish names? Yeah?
- 39:23Speaker 1: He was an elder at our church and he prayed
- 39:27Speaker 1: too long? So long? Yes, so, I mean so long,
- 39:33Speaker 1: and you couldn't. Every time you thought he was gonna stop,
- 39:36Speaker 1: he kept going. All he was doing was taking a breath.
- 39:40Speaker 1: You know what bothers me that hole taking food out
- 39:44Speaker 1: the house at the end, just wrapping up tubs and
- 39:47Speaker 1: tubs of food. People getting their little to gold plates.
- 39:50Speaker 1: How am I gonna eat on Friday? Tommy? You need
- 39:52Speaker 1: to cook some How am I gonna do? That's right, Tommy?
- 39:57Speaker 1: How is she gonna eat? Also? You mean people that
- 40:01Speaker 1: are invited to dinner, Tommy, and they get it to
- 40:03Speaker 1: go plate? You know, you know, one plate, okay, cool,
- 40:07Speaker 1: But when I see you loading up three or four
- 40:08Speaker 1: plates a fall, and it's just come on, man, really
- 40:12Speaker 1: y'all starving over there? They may be pretty much okay, well,
- 40:17Speaker 1: but this high work at our house because you know,
- 40:21Speaker 1: usually Marjorie know what I like, She'll put that in
- 40:25Speaker 1: the other refrigerator and the other refrigerator. Oh okay, I'm
- 40:29Speaker 1: now in the argument for me to get to that.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Huh man, how many refrigerators at your house? The one
- 40:36Speaker 1: in the kitchen, the one in the kitchen? You know,
- 40:48Speaker 1: how much refrigerator? Car Man, I can't wait to be that.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Let me, since you're talking about our one refrigerator, how
- 40:57Speaker 1: many in your house? Wait? Hold ups, let's ask new money.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Who come on, Hollywood, come on? How many? How many refrigerators?
- 41:12Speaker 1: Just a simple question. Okay, I can't break it down,
- 41:15Speaker 1: but I just like five, five refrigerators. Let me explain, Carl. Yeah,
- 41:22Speaker 1: you got some splaining. It's three of those undercounter ones. Okay,
- 41:27Speaker 1: uh huh so, and then it's two big refrigerator one
- 41:30Speaker 1: one in the kitchen and went to me undercat still
- 41:32Speaker 1: a lot, Tommy, so ice everywhere? Huh what does that
- 41:37Speaker 1: mean under the counter like a wine refrigerator. Yeah, it's

- 43:35Speaker 1: supposed to get in and we should be there by
- 43:38Speaker 1: the afternoon. Okay. Uh is missus Purvis is? She is
- 43:42Speaker 1: your mama making the dresses? Yeah, she's making enough for
- 43:46Speaker 1: about forty five people. We actually, um, this was discussed
- 43:49Speaker 1: about a month ago, right y'all on the y'all they
- 43:52Speaker 1: had the um conference call, the conference good family had
- 43:55Speaker 1: the conference call, right, yes, sir? Okay, Nah, listen, what
- 44:01Speaker 1: reason why they got me to call? They wanted me
- 44:03Speaker 1: to go in and call, and I was trying to
- 44:05Speaker 1: give me this pervious she's not there. No, she's not here.
- 44:09Speaker 1: What's wrong? Uh? Okay, they're not gonna they're not gonna
- 44:12Speaker 1: need her to do them to do the dressing. And
- 44:15Speaker 1: why wouldn't they need to do dress. She's gonna make
- 44:17Speaker 1: it for ten years. We just we just discussed it.
- 44:20Speaker 1: So what do you mean they say that they got
- 44:22Speaker 1: somebody down here that's gonna do the dressing, especially since
- 44:25Speaker 1: y'all traveling, y'all ain't got to bring it, you know,
- 44:27Speaker 1: and be traveling with it. But they got somebody gonna
- 44:30Speaker 1: do the dressing. Okay, Well, first of all, how are
- 44:33Speaker 1: you you're you're BENI what is your name? That was
- 44:36Speaker 1: not my name, Benjamin? But they called me Benji. But
- 44:38Speaker 1: but but like I say, uh, I'm on the other
- 44:42Speaker 1: side of a fact, I ain't on y'all side. Okay. Well,
- 44:44Speaker 1: I'm still trying to kick out. Why are you calling me?
- 44:47Speaker 1: Because she's been making a dressing for ten years, like
- 44:50Speaker 1: I said, and I mean, it's been discussed. So I
- 44:53Speaker 1: don't even know why why you're calling me. I don't
- 44:55Speaker 1: even know you. Okay, Well, what I'm trying to explain
- 44:58Speaker 1: to you this right here, is that they got so y'all,
- 45:00Speaker 1: y'all ain't got to worry with bringing the dressing. They
- 45:03Speaker 1: got somebody gonna bring They got somebody down here that's
- 45:06Speaker 1: gonna cook it, so and otherwhere with you know, if
- 45:09Speaker 1: you can tell Miss Prayervish ain't got to worry about
- 45:11Speaker 1: the dressing this year. I'm so you want me to
- 45:13Speaker 1: tell my mama after she'd been making dressing for ten
- 45:16Speaker 1: years that y'all say, y'all ain't worried about she shouldn't
- 45:19Speaker 1: have to make this year because we're driving there. We
- 45:21Speaker 1: drs every year. So I'm not gonna do that to her. So,
- 45:25Speaker 1: I mean, I don't I don't even know who you
- 45:27Speaker 1: are to be calling me anyway. Why didn't somebody calling
- 45:30Speaker 1: me that I don't know regarding it? Okay, okay, you're
- 45:32Speaker 1: good the right, I am blended. All right. Listen, let
- 45:36Speaker 1: me say this because I don't mind saying what everybody thinking,
- 45:40Speaker 1: but most people don't want to say. Let me just
- 45:42Speaker 1: say this right here. Really, what's going on is just
- 45:45Speaker 1: right here. A lot of people in the family you know,
- 45:49Speaker 1: don't really don't don't really lighten Miss prayer of his
- 45:53Speaker 1: dressing Deni Benjamin hu He, So be let me bring
- 46:01Speaker 1: you something there. My mama gonna make it dressing, you
- 46:05Speaker 1: gonna kiss it, and we ain't bringing that home, littles,
- 46:08Speaker 1: So you can tell your family that I said that
- 46:11Speaker 1: because you understand me. I mean, for first of all,
- 46:14Speaker 1: you got to understand that I'm bringing news that that
- 46:17Speaker 1: people didn't don't voted on, and this is what everybody
- 46:19Speaker 1: want to do, don't nobody, Well, why did knee holes
- 46:22Speaker 1: we had a meeting dressing? She didn't making me ten
- 46:26Speaker 1: years ain't nobody had been saying nothing, and a guess
- 46:28Speaker 1: what when I'm up in the house, nobody had better
- 46:31Speaker 1: not be walking up and through that. I'm talking about
- 46:32Speaker 1: my mamma either, And you know I'm gonna eat it. Okay,
- 46:36Speaker 1: we'll see right there. Why why if people don't like
- 46:38Speaker 1: the dressing, Glinda, why do you want to make submit
- 46:41Speaker 1: everybody to having to eat it if they don't like it?
- 46:44Speaker 1: You don't eat this? I don't know. I don't know.
- 46:46Speaker 1: You won't calling me no, well, I don't know, no
- 46:48Speaker 1: Benjamin Benjie who out the heir? I through my mama,
- 46:52Speaker 1: lord's nephew from the other side of the family exactly,
- 46:55Speaker 1: and they don't know yet, Okay, and really really to

- 47:11Speaker 1: that transfics. You gonna eat it and we're gonna round.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Beh that name. Okay, okay, right there, listen, And I
- 47:19Speaker 1: know this might be hard for you to understand what
- 47:21Speaker 1: you grew up with liking. Everybody else might not like
- 47:26Speaker 1: n say what you want to. I ain't gonna even
- 47:27Speaker 1: remember you like. So you ain't like it because you
- 47:31Speaker 1: ain't done around. But she make it dress it now.
- 47:34Speaker 1: First of all, when y'all get down here, it's gonna
- 47:37Speaker 1: already be some mo dressing here, okay, okay, and she
- 47:40Speaker 1: gonna make country and sense and we're gonna see down

- 47:45Speaker 1: not even end of me discuss no friends and that
- 47:47Speaker 1: I said I can say, because your name's gonna hurt
- 47:50Speaker 1: my mama feeling. Okay, there ain't nobody to try. That's
- 47:52Speaker 1: why I'm trying to tell you to tell her don't
- 47:54Speaker 1: make it nah, so she won't even bring it down.
- 47:57Speaker 1: We an't gonna get anyway. Look, I'm gonna say this
- 48:01Speaker 1: here because every dealer you ain't really understanding what I'm
- 48:04Speaker 1: saying to you. I'm gonna say it as clear as

- 48:08Speaker 1: I'll promise you we already got dressing. Mate. We're throwing
- 48:12Speaker 1: that dressing in the trash so everybody can get the

- 48:30Speaker 1: playing with you. That's what's so funny to me. I'm
- 48:34Speaker 1: gonna call. Ain't tell me we're hiding it cold. Ain't
- 48:38Speaker 1: knowing falling up. The callers are telling us to bull
- 48:41Speaker 1: but now they're gonna set She'll stupid because when me,
- 48:43Speaker 1: I don't even know she'll come. I can't. They said
- 48:47Speaker 1: you you the band in the world, But Benji Bene,

- 51:11Speaker 1: we could be reading your letter live on the air,
- 51:14Speaker 1: just like we're gonna read this one right here, right now.
- 51:18Speaker 1: It's the time. Buckle up and hold on tight. We
- 51:21Speaker 1: got one to date, Y'allberry Letter subject looking for Love
- 51:27Speaker 1: in all the Wrong Places. Hello, Shirley and Steve. I'm
- 51:32Speaker 1: a twenty year old black woman who comes from a
- 51:35Speaker 1: very loving and caring family that carries themselves in a
- 51:39Speaker 1: very classy and respectful way. I've been taught since I
- 51:42Speaker 1: was a little girl that men will treat you the
- 51:44Speaker 1: way you allow them to treat you. I'm coming to
- 51:47Speaker 1: you all because I need help. I can't find a
- 51:51Speaker 1: man that wants to be in a serious relationship with me,
- 51:54Speaker 1: and I know about ninety percent of the blame can
- 51:57Speaker 1: be put on me. I have no limits when it
- 52:01Speaker 1: comes to sex. I'm very sexually active. I have sex
- 52:05Speaker 1: with men on first dates, hell, even first encounters. I'm
- 52:08Speaker 1: a very easy woman. Nine times out of ten, I
- 52:12Speaker 1: don't use protection and I've never had an STD, but
- 52:16Speaker 1: I know it's going to happen one day. Nobody in
- 52:19Speaker 1: my family even sees me this way. They know I'm
- 52:22Speaker 1: not a virgin because of the pregnancy scares. I don't
- 52:25Speaker 1: bring these men to my family to meet them. Hell,
- 52:28Speaker 1: they don't even stay that long. Most of them are
- 52:30Speaker 1: one night stands. I've slept with about forty men. I've
- 52:34Speaker 1: had threesomes. I even let their homeboys have relations with
- 52:38Speaker 1: me if they ask. And the bad part about it,
- 52:42Speaker 1: I can't even tell you why I do it. I'm
- 52:44Speaker 1: getting older and my parents are asking me when they
- 52:47Speaker 1: are going to meet or at least see the men
- 52:49Speaker 1: I'm dating, and I hate lying to them. I'm not ugly.
- 52:53Speaker 1: I'm not an ugly young woman. I'm overweight, but not huge.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I think I have good qualities and I'm worth settling
- 52:59Speaker 1: down with. I need help bad? Can you please give
- 53:02Speaker 1: me advice? There's so much in this letter. I mean,
- 53:06Speaker 1: don't we don't even have time? This is so sad,
- 53:09Speaker 1: you know. I mean, first of all, you're you're a
- 53:11Speaker 1: twenty year old young woman. You know you think you
- 53:16Speaker 1: have good qualities. I'll just start there. You said that
- 53:19Speaker 1: at the end, and you're worth settling down with. But
- 53:22Speaker 1: I just don't see how you can possibly believe that
- 53:25Speaker 1: about yourself. I don't you know who lives a life
- 53:28Speaker 1: that you do and feel this way about themselves? You know,
- 53:32Speaker 1: to me, you're a classic case of someone who doesn't
- 53:35Speaker 1: value themselves, even though you think you do, but you don't.
- 53:39Speaker 1: You know, anyone who values themselves wouldn't do this. And
- 53:42Speaker 1: you know you're living playing a dangerous game. You're not
- 53:45Speaker 1: using any protection. It's almost like you're inviting this. You're
- 53:48Speaker 1: waiting for this to happen. You know that's not cool anyway.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I mean, you have the lowest of the low when
- 53:58Speaker 1: it comes to self esteem, and you just you don't
- 54:01Speaker 1: have any self esteem. You know, if you thought you
- 54:03Speaker 1: had these good qualities that you talk about in your
- 54:05Speaker 1: letter and you're worth settling down with, why isn't anybody
- 54:09Speaker 1: settling down with you. Have you thought about that? You know,
- 54:11Speaker 1: why on earth would you be giving yourself away like
- 54:14Speaker 1: this if you thought you had some good qualities. What
- 54:16Speaker 1: has happened to you in your life? You know? Were
- 54:19Speaker 1: you abused as a child? You know, you're you're right,
- 54:22Speaker 1: you definitely need help. And you've been pregnant how many
- 54:25Speaker 1: times pregnancy scares? This is crazy? I mean, you're playing
- 54:29Speaker 1: such You're you're playing with your life. You're playing life
- 54:32Speaker 1: or death games here. It's like Russian Roulette that you're
- 54:35Speaker 1: playing with your life. This is so serious, and the
- 54:37Speaker 1: one true statement you made in your letter is that
- 54:39Speaker 1: you need help. You absolutely lutely need help. You know,
- 54:43Speaker 1: you're only twenty years old. You can fix this, you
- 54:46Speaker 1: can correct this. You haven't had any STDs and you
- 54:50Speaker 1: haven't had any pregnancies. I mean you carried through you know.
- 54:54Speaker 1: But anyway, you need to get some professional help. You
- 54:57Speaker 1: need to get some professional help. Steve Big Dog, it's
- 55:03Speaker 1: sad um. I'm just gonna say this before we go
- 55:10Speaker 1: to break. Here's the deal. I can't find a man.
- 55:18Speaker 1: That's what this letters are about. I can't find a man.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Earth Wind and Fire has a song can't hide love.
- 55:26Speaker 1: And in the middle of the song it says you
- 55:28Speaker 1: can't give what you never had. Now I'm saying that
- 55:33Speaker 1: to say this, you can't find a man because you
- 55:37Speaker 1: ain't found yourself. See, I don't know, I don't know
- 55:42Speaker 1: how women think that a man is gonna complete them.
- 55:46Speaker 1: You walk into a relationship complete. A man comes into
- 55:50Speaker 1: your life, and a woman comes into your life to compliment. Yeah,
- 55:55Speaker 1: but you have to complete yourself. Nobody can come along
- 55:58Speaker 1: and complete you. You are your own work in progress.
- 56:01Speaker 1: You are yourself. Can can't a body make you happy?
- 56:07Speaker 1: But you you find happiness with a person, But can't
- 56:12Speaker 1: abody make you happy? That's all I have time to
- 56:16Speaker 1: say right now. When we come back, though, I'm getting
- 56:19Speaker 1: right into the nuts and bolts of this right here.
- 56:22Speaker 1: So if it's any twenty year old woman out here
- 56:23Speaker 1: that's wondering about this thing called sex, I'm going to
- 56:26Speaker 1: really give it to you today from the male perspective.
- 56:29Speaker 1: You've got to You've got to think of yourself better
- 56:32Speaker 1: than this. We'll be right back. You're listening, um um,
- 56:41Speaker 1: young young lady, twenty year old, I need help. I
- 56:45Speaker 1: can't find a man that wants to be in a
- 56:47Speaker 1: serious relationship with me. First of all, I said, you know,
- 56:51Speaker 1: you don't even know yourself yet. But here's here, let's
- 56:55Speaker 1: go a little bit more. I can't find a man
- 56:57Speaker 1: that wants to be in a serious relationship with me.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Are you serious? You can't. You cannot possibly expect a
- 57:06Speaker 1: man to take you serious? True, you're not serious about yourself.
- 57:13Speaker 1: We are men. We recognize this instantly. If you don't
- 57:17Speaker 1: take yourself seriously, if you don't seriously protect your body,
- 57:22Speaker 1: if you don't seriously show value for yourself, if you
- 57:25Speaker 1: don't seriously make a man have to consider you as
- 57:28Speaker 1: valuable as you think you are. If you seriously don't
- 57:31Speaker 1: have none of that working, how can you seriously expect
- 57:37Speaker 1: a man to get in a serious relationship with you
- 57:42Speaker 1: when you're not even serious about yourself? This Shirley has
- 57:48Speaker 1: said it all about self esteem and all this here,
- 57:50Speaker 1: got all that, all of that is very very true.
- 57:54Speaker 1: You know, maybe I don't know. I'm not a clinical guy.
- 57:57Speaker 1: I don't know how to say that. I could just
- 57:59Speaker 1: talk about is right here? You know, Um, I'm I'm
- 58:03Speaker 1: a very easy woman. Uh, and I use unprotected sex,
- 58:08Speaker 1: but I've never had an STD. But I know it's
- 58:10Speaker 1: gonna happen one day. Okay, excuse me. You know that
- 58:16Speaker 1: you're going to get an STD one day, but you're
- 58:19Speaker 1: continuing to have sex with no protection. There are too
- 58:23Speaker 1: many stupid people in this world. You're being very naive
- 58:29Speaker 1: and ignorant and playing with your life, and so is
- 58:32Speaker 1: the man or boy. This is ridiculous for you to
- 58:38Speaker 1: know these things. See for you to write this letter,
- 58:41Speaker 1: it's just a cry for help because this is stuff
- 58:44Speaker 1: that you know. I can't joke with you because, man,
- 58:47Speaker 1: if you were my daughter, I would be mortified at this. Okay,
- 58:51Speaker 1: now here's here's the here's the next line that I
- 58:56Speaker 1: want to focus on. I have one night stands. I've
- 58:59Speaker 1: slept with about four men. I've had threesomes. I even
- 59:02Speaker 1: let their homeboys have relationships with me if they ask.
- 59:06Speaker 1: And the bad part about it is I can't even
- 59:09Speaker 1: tell you why I do it, right Yeah? Yeah, well okay,
- 59:13Speaker 1: I can tell you why you do it because you
- 59:16Speaker 1: don't have any value of self. You've devalued yourself. Somewhere
- 59:22Speaker 1: down the line, something that's happened that makes you think
- 59:26Speaker 1: you need to have sexual these men to get approval
- 59:29Speaker 1: or acceptance something that's happened in your life. Maybe, like
- 59:32Speaker 1: Shirley says off the Air, maybe you had have been
- 59:36Speaker 1: molested in your past, or maybe you think this is
- 59:40Speaker 1: the way to do it and you're not worth anything else.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Why would you want to be treated rotten? Why would
- 59:49Speaker 1: you want it? Why would you want a man to
- 59:52Speaker 1: treat you stink? Why would you want that for yourself?
- 59:57Speaker 1: And at twenty, when you've got your whole life in funny,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: So you know, I think I have good qualities and
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I'm worth settling down with. Okay, here's the bonus chapter
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: to the book. I think I have good qualities and
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I'm worth settling down with. Here's a light bulb moment
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: for your ladies that you already know, but in case
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: you didn't hear it is men only. Men only settled
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: down with women who are settled down themselves. Can I
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: just tell you that about us? Wow? Men only settled
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: down with women who are settled down themselves. We not
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: marrying the wild pony, were not hooking up with the
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: loose freak. You ain't fitting to get us to settle
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: down at settled down yourself. Every man that called in
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: that day, seventy five percent of them said they would
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: respect a woman who was celebrate. If that's who they wanted,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: they'd hang in the wood. And but then you think
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: he lying what I bet he out. Well, now he's
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: saying it was gonna be easy. But at least they
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: said they'll respect you because you respect yourself. But now
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: you don't respect yourself, but you want some respect from
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: a man. You don't take yourself serious, but you want
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: a man to treat you seriously. You loose booty all
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: day long, but you want a man to just respect yours,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: yours only. But you passing it out like they skittles
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: on a coffee table. But now you want somebody to
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: come along and treat you like a candy bar, an
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: individual candy bar in its own wrapper. But you passing
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: out tail like you skittles in a bowl on a
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: coffee table. Please notice about men. Men only settled down
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: with women who are settled down themselves. We're not taking
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: you to our house to tame you. We're not introducing
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: you to our mama as we tame. No, you are not.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: And so young lady, you need prayer, you need some
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: self esteem, You need some counseling. You should go to
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: a local church and talk to somebody and get some counseling.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: You need a moral change over in your life. This
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: is simply moral right here. You need to go to
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: church and sit down and learn about God and what
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: God really created you for and what He wants of
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: you and what He expects from you. And God did
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: not create you to be of servitude to a bunch
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: of men and be a dumping ground for sperm. That
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: is not how God created you. I'm telling you like that,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: at one point in time, you got to talk to people.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Really no more. Listen, post your comments on Today's Strawberry
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Letter and Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook, and
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. All right,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: come up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Show. Because Thanksgiving is
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: the food focused holiday. There's a ton of food planning,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: food shopping, and food prep that happens before Thanksgiving rolls around,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: and the longer you wait to do it, the more
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: frantic it can feel. I'm gonna do it all on winds,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: but I'm telling you whensday, they gonna be out of
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: them big elbowls for macaroni. They replenish after the big
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: weekend rush and then Monday Tuesday they replenish on Windsday.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: So the truck coming. Okay, I'm just I'm just just,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I'm just you know, all I know of my grandmother
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: ain't missed a Thanksgiving. Yeah, food be day. I don't know. Well,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: my mama shopped all year long for cranberry sauce. They
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: have everything, they lined up in the pantry. Yes, nobody,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: so you know, I don't really Yeah, I kind of go.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: And then it's regional too. You gotta pay attention to
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: where you go. You know, it's regional like and zip
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: code regional is what I'm talking. Oh yeah, gotta get
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: your zip cold. Yeah, because your resources is different. Pressure
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: more y see out here, if you go to Bristol Farms,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: they gonna have uh huh, what's that a store? What
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: is that little more? You know, scale got Yeah, they gonna, yeah,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: they're gonna have it because they can't telling people we
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: ain't got no more. And it's a pretty store, you know.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: It's yeah. And I don't remember what I'm gonna do, man,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: because I don't know how I'm gonna do. My oysters
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: do you eat oysters on Thanksgiving? A lot of oh yeah,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: you you eat fried oysters and eggs or in something
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: every No anybody saying number the eggs. Anybody said no
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: ignog which I know I won't get none where I'm going.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: But I can probably get the oysters, and I can
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: probably get them fried, but I don't I don't know
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: who I'm gonna get these, Miss Shoeberts frozen dinner rolls
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: that bake up in the oven with extra Yeah, I
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: know I know this country though, But if they frozen,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: you'll put them in your suitcase and some drives and
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: get away. See what I'm not fitting to do? Is
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: that right there? Anybody fit to be opening up my
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: poe ass looking luggage? Oh? I don't had two whole
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: turkeys in mind before, see right there? See it right there,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: pu see right there? Nobody does. Let me tell you this.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Let me tell you this. That nephew time I know
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: how to pack up a turkey. He packed up a
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: turkey for me. It traveled nast circuit for me. You
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: have to graduate, all right, more of this crazy ignorant show.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, here's the question,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: who should host Thanksgiving dinner? We know Thanksgiving us right
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: around the corner. Boy, this year's fat has gone by fast.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: The relative with the bigger house is a question or
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: the relative who is the better cook? The better cook? Yeah,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Thanksgiving us about food. I'd rather be crowded in the
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: food space and we're just sitting way away from each other,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: complain eating green bean casserole. Hey, imagine where y'all trying
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: to drop. There's an echo of the house is so
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: big man and MGM will lose this year. It was loose,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: hush one kid, quick shaw. They're just holling across the
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: big empty house. It's big, but the food ain't good.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I'd rather be in that tight sitting the elbow to elbow,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: watching the game, addressing whisper. They sitting right next to you. Hey, man,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: if you ain't gonna eat all your hand, let me
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: hand that right there though. Hey, look, if you ain't
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: get enough cranberry sause, I got plenty on my plate.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Just reach on. Ok. Yeah, how about that potato pie? Man,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: we go to the project with some good food. Yeah,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: anywhere man, keep walking outside checking on your car. Keep
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: coming back here, just going back here, just saying you
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: gotta do check your car. And I'm going out here
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: see if everything all right. Ain't earl your turn, check
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: on the car. Man, ain't nothing like that, gibler graveing
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: man and go over the addressing that right there? Does it?
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: Do you know how to make that time? I don't.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I need to. I need to. I
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: need to study that on with one of my aunties
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: and figure that I ain't got how to do that gravy.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: It's an art to gray. I love dressing. Oh. Marjorie
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: makes the dressing every year, and all her family asked
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: for pans. Really she put dressing dope though, wow dope,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: and we deep fried to turkey. Your son has to
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: build butter ball. Deep fried your son that turkey got
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: the only thing I used to do. Everything's giving us.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: I did. I did the yam oh really stop doing that?
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Why oh you don't have to anyone? No, hell no,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: my mama. Oh oh yeah man man, Mama Bridges girl

- 1:09:41Speaker 1: It's just strawberry flavor. Okay, it's sweet, pink icing and
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: pink cake. Yeah, but it's got nuts all over the
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: outside of it. It's kind of it reminds me of
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: German chocolate cake, but it's all pink. Okay, favorite German
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: chocolate cake, that's Margie fake. It was my favorite. To
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Marjorie can make a German chocolate cake and listen to me.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: And I'm not saying this because I'm married to him,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: because she's not listening. Her German chocolate cake tastes just
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: like my mama German chocolate cake. Oh that's that's major.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: And if it didn't, and if it didn't, I wouldn't
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: say it. Would a black person make a German chocolate clake?
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: Ain't it a black cake? It ain't. There's no nunger

- 1:12:57Speaker 1: junior dummy. You these conversations. Well you have none of
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: the information, right, You can't remember dad to have him
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: all the time asking people who down something like this?
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: What was that guy's name that she was with last year?
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: You know, the one that used to be DJ down
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: at that lounge, Darneil. Wasn't it dark Nail? Yeah? Oh
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: yeah he was. I remember him. You know what I
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: remember about him? Who you ask London again? Oh the god?
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: She was JJ down at the lounge, Stay down at
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: the lounge, Junior trying to say he was down at
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: the loud. Yeah, he had one Um, he had one arm.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: I remember, you can mix it, he could mix it.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: He was. I liked him though. He was good. He
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: was he was he was a nice guy. He was real.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: They called him red too though, one red, one red,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: call him one D because he had one on one.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: I'm red. Yeah, you're right, I can relate. How how
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: are you doing with your arm? I'm worried that I'm
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: not gonna cut this turkey right on Thurday that's gonna
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: be my problem. If you know you can take I
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: heard now, I heard you could take to any gas
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: station in town and they will carve your turkey for
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: you if you buy five dollars with the gas. What's that?
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Five lottery tickets and five lotteries? Yeah, what's that boy name?
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: They'll be out there cutting the turkeys at the gas. Yeah,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: he'll be outside. He'll be outside cutting up your turkey. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: do it? Yeah, yeah, yeah with the red half the red.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: It's red. It's DJ red. That's what he do. Do
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: he up turkey? He so because he put the one
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: on the one. Yeah. Well you don't tell me that
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: that's an option, just saying yeah, just saying, well, everybody,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: jad you have it. Those are some of the stupid conversations,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: isn't nobody? No? Don't y'all have a happy Thanksgiving? All right?
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Tom When we come back, Last Break of the Day
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: and Steve's closing remarks, you don't want to miss him.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: We'll be back at forty nine after you're listening show,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: Last Break of the Day. Steve Harvey take us away
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: with some insightful closing remarks. I know you have some
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: for us today. Well, you know, um, I think it's imperative.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Yesterday we talked about how hate is so counterproductive. Um well,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: let's talk about something today that is productive. And that's
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: one of the major of principles of success. I don't
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: know if people understand the real value of dreams and visions.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: I don't know if people understand the real value of
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: writing it down. You know, having dreams and visions is
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: one thing. It's the writing it down part that solidifies
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: it and makes it more doable and concrete. And the
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: reason I'm saying that is because writing your visions down
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: everything you want on a piece of paper, or creating
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: a vision board isn't just a principle of success. Well,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: it is very much a principle of success. But it's
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: a scripture. It's actually in the Bible. He God has
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: laid out for us exactly how to have the best
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: life possible for you. He's already laid that out. He
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: gave us words of encouragement. He gives us wisdom, he
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: gives us understanding. That's what Proverbs is all about, That's
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: what the Psalms is about. He gives you an examples
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: of people overcoming throughout the Bible. He gives you examples
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: of what real faith can do. He has, He shows
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: you seasons of what can happen to people. But one
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: of the things Harbecah two and two says, write the
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: vision and make it plain, so that he who reads
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: it will run to it. And even though it terry,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: terry means take a long time, wait for it, for
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: surely it will come at an appoint to time. It's
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: so important man, that you as people, that we as
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: people never forget the significance and the importance of writing
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: our goals and our visions, our wants, our dreams, our hopes,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: our yearnings down. It is imperative that you write it down.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: It's not it's not anything that should be taken lightly.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: This is very, very real. It can change your life.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: It really really can, man, It can do so much
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: for you. Because see where you are now, it's temporary.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: You've got to understand that. But you've got to have
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: a dream and a vision to get out of that
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: place so you can move on to your next space.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: All of us are being tested on some form, shape,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: or fashion. All of us are being tested on some level.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: All of us. Ain't nobody Scott free of the test
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: of life. But man with the dream and vision that
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: Herbeckah two and two, writing the vision and making it plain,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: it can get you into your season a lot sooner.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Bishop Getty sent me something. Bishop gettys is minister down
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: in the Carolinas who came on my show once and
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: we've become friends every since. And he sent me something
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: one day, and he told me, he said, never judge
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: somebody based on the season. Are y'all listening? Never judge
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: someone based on the season. He told me. He said,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: one season, David was a shepherd, the next season he
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: was a king. One season, Ruth was working in the field,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: the next season she was owning the same feeld. One season,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Mordecai was sitting outside the king's palace. The next season
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: he was inside the palace. And what he was saying
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: to me was, we serve a god who turns things around,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: and that is the God of unmerited favor. You can't
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: judge somebody based on the season. You don't know who
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: you talking to. You don't know what God gonna do
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: for this person. You don't know what this person written down.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: You don't know what this vision this person has for herself,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: And you don't know what kind of grace God gonna
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: put on this person. So like we would talk about
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: on the radio show. We were talking about have you
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: gotten more than you thought? Or did you get everything
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: you ever wanted? A lot of this stuff I have,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I ain't even see. I didn't know it was nothing
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: to want. I didn't know to want certain things because
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: I didn't know certain things existed. But he gave it
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: to me anyway, because he has this theme called grace.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: But what has helped me a great deal along the way,
