- 0:00Today is the day, the day that we look at Matthew
- 0:037, 21. It's where Jesus says, Not everyone who
- 0:06says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom
- 0:09of heaven. This is the verse that reminds us
- 0:11that while everything we say, men will answer
- 0:14for every idle word, while everything we say
- 0:17is important, what we say is not the end -all,
- 0:21be -all, and it's not everything. So people call
- 0:23themselves Christian. They say, Lord Jesus. They
- 0:26even pray, even do things. In the same passage
- 0:29of scripture, Jesus will say, you healed in my
- 0:32name, you cast out demons in my name, but get
- 0:34away from me, I never knew you. Not just those
- 0:37who say, Lord, Lord, it's those who live accordingly.
- 0:40It's those who put God first. And so let me encourage
- 0:43you to put God first, to learn his commands,
- 0:47to grow in what God is teaching us to do, to
- 0:50reach new heights in Jesus. And then as you're
- 0:53living for the Lord, the confirmation of what
- 0:55you have said, that declaration. with your mouth
- 0:58that Jesus is Lord. It becomes true. To say that
- 1:01he is Lord and to not do what he says is a contradiction.
- 1:04And so Jesus would say, not everyone who says
- 1:07unto me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of
- 1:09heaven.
