Call for an overhaul: All options on table for Missouri school funding task force
Governor Mike Kehoe says the current model to fund Missouri’s K-12 schools is just not sustainable. He has formed a statewide task force that might revamp the formula used to calculate how much state aid each public school district gets. The governor said he wants the group to come up with a way that is fair and produces better outcomes for all Missouri students. Alisa Nelson talks to the chairman of the task force, Chillicothe State Senator Rusty Black, who says the members worked through much of 2025 and will work most of this year.
