- 2:03Speaker 7: Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:06Speaker 7: dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 7: radio show. Yeah, man, Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:14Speaker 7: Trying to do something with it too.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:17Speaker 8: You know, I was having a conversation the other day
- 2:21Speaker 8: with a young person and they were telling me how
- 2:25Speaker 8: they felt that their life was stuck, that their life
- 2:28Speaker 8: was in a rut, that they didn't know what to
- 2:33Speaker 8: do next. And one of the things that was causing
- 2:36Speaker 8: them this sadness or this depression. I mean, they're really
- 2:41Speaker 8: really into something right now. One of the things that
- 2:43Speaker 8: was causing it was the fact that they had made
- 2:48Speaker 8: a list of things they wanted to accomplish by a
- 2:52Speaker 8: certain age, and.
- 2:56Speaker 2: That age they just had a birthday recently, and.
- 3:01Speaker 8: They were looking at the list, and the list hadn't
- 3:05Speaker 8: been fulfilled, and because that list hadn't been fulfilled, they
- 3:13Speaker 8: were really really sad about it. You know.
- 3:17Speaker 1: One of the things that.
- 3:18Speaker 8: They had on the list was marriage, kids, and I
- 3:24Speaker 8: don't know everything else that was on the list, but
- 3:26Speaker 8: that was one of them. And because she had reached
- 3:30Speaker 8: a certain age and she wasn't married, and she didn't
- 3:32Speaker 8: have the kids, and she had just celebrated a birthday,
- 3:37Speaker 8: she's gone into this mode of sadness where it's really
- 3:42Speaker 8: really taken a toll on her. And as I was
- 3:47Speaker 8: learning about her situation, I was thinking about it, and
- 3:53Speaker 8: I just wanted to share this with you all this
- 3:55Speaker 8: morning that one of the things about making a list
- 3:59Speaker 8: about what you want, which I happen to be a
- 4:01Speaker 8: proponent of, I do it myself. People have dream boards.
- 4:06Speaker 8: I have a goal sheet. I've been doing it for years.
- 4:10Speaker 8: It's a wonderful way to set goals and to keep
- 4:14Speaker 8: it in front of you as a constant reminder. And
- 4:16Speaker 8: I always go over this gold list every day, you know.
- 4:19Speaker 8: I mean I go with it all the time every day.
- 4:23Speaker 8: Sometimes I miss a day here and there, but mostly
- 4:25Speaker 8: every day I pull my goal sheet out and I
- 4:28Speaker 8: look at it, I read it. So I was going
- 4:30Speaker 8: to these rallies and I was learning about, you know,
- 4:33Speaker 8: people who are successful in how they kept their mind
- 4:36Speaker 8: writing possible. And one of the things I learned was
- 4:38Speaker 8: to make these dream boards, these lists, these gold sheets,
- 4:42Speaker 8: and in making a goal sheet, and you make the
- 4:46Speaker 8: sheet according to what you want, think about one thing
- 4:51Speaker 8: when you made your goal sheet, about what you wanted?
- 4:55Speaker 8: Does your goal sheet have on it what God wants
- 4:58Speaker 8: from you? Did you ask in any of this what
- 5:02Speaker 8: was His will in your life?
- 5:05Speaker 5: You know?
- 5:05Speaker 2: Look, man, what we want oftentimes is not what He
- 5:10Speaker 2: wants for us. And you know, if you're.
- 5:13Speaker 8: Fighting against what you were created for, if you're fighting
- 5:16Speaker 8: against his will, I mean, what do you want to happen?
- 5:21Speaker 1: See?
- 5:22Speaker 8: Don't be so hard on yourself when you look at
- 5:24Speaker 8: your goal sheet and you look at what you've not
- 5:26Speaker 8: become what you thought was a great idea. Don't be
- 5:29Speaker 8: so hard on yourself because you just made a minded mistake.
- 5:33Speaker 8: As do most people, we oftentimes make our goals and
- 5:36Speaker 8: set our goals up without ever considering what is it
- 5:39Speaker 8: that God wants from us. We keep talking about what
- 5:42Speaker 8: we want without ever finding out and knowing what it
- 5:45Speaker 8: is God wants for us. Well, guess what, man, maybe
- 5:49Speaker 8: you're fighting against the grain. Maybe you just a salmon
- 5:51Speaker 8: heading upstream. That's a tough fight upstream. Not all salmon's
- 5:55Speaker 8: get up to the spawning grounds, you know. Some of
- 5:57Speaker 8: them don't make it upstream, you know, but all all
- 6:00Speaker 8: of them, nearly all of them, except the ones that's
- 6:03Speaker 8: killed by pray. When they're spawn they go out to
- 6:05Speaker 8: the ocean. That's cool, because you're going because you're going
- 6:08Speaker 8: with the grain. You going downstream, you're going with the flow.
- 6:12Speaker 8: That's but when it's time to go against the grain,
- 6:15Speaker 8: it's tough. And a lot of us have just been
- 6:17Speaker 8: going against the grain for all of these years. But
- 6:20Speaker 8: you know what, listen, man, I did it. I know
- 6:23Speaker 8: a lot of people who did it. Very few people
- 6:26Speaker 8: get it right from the very beginning. Man, you got
- 6:30Speaker 8: to stumble through life sometimes sometimes you got to fall
- 6:33Speaker 8: through life. You got to make a lot of mistakes, man,
- 6:36Speaker 8: But these mistakes are not failures. You know, when you fail,
- 6:39Speaker 8: it's something. Don't look at it as a fail You
- 6:40Speaker 8: don't look at yourself as a failure because you're thirty
- 6:43Speaker 8: and your goals ain't reached that you had on your list.
- 6:46Speaker 8: That was your list. What about the things that's going right.
- 6:51Speaker 8: Stop looking at what you're not, take some time out
- 6:54Speaker 8: and thank God for what you are. How about the
- 6:56Speaker 8: fact that you keep waking up to be thirty? You
- 6:58Speaker 8: know you get depressed about these birthdays. You really want
- 7:01Speaker 8: to throw yourself in some depression. Miss a birthday, You
- 7:04Speaker 8: really got a problem. Now look at where you are.
- 7:07Speaker 8: You keep reaching birthdays. That's a glorious blessing. You keep
- 7:11Speaker 8: waking up. You got your health, You've accomplished something. Something
- 7:15Speaker 8: on your list is done. People spend too much time
- 7:19Speaker 8: on the negative side, and you're just throwing yourself into depression.
- 7:22Speaker 8: So what you want to be married by a certain
- 7:24Speaker 8: age and you wanted to have kids, Okay, cool, you
- 7:27Speaker 8: could have done all that with the wrong person. There's
- 7:30Speaker 8: a blessing in not being married to the wrong person.
- 7:33Speaker 8: There's a blessing in not having kids and nobody to
- 7:35Speaker 8: help you raise it. There's a blessing in that man.
- 7:38Speaker 8: You're talking to somebody who can tell it to you.
- 7:40Speaker 8: You can marry the wrong person if you want to.
- 7:43Speaker 8: I'm telling you you're gonna be up in some mess.
- 7:45Speaker 8: You can't count on. So instead of being angry because
- 7:49Speaker 8: you're not married, you don't have kids, why don't you
- 7:51Speaker 8: thank God the man? Maybe he spared you from some
- 7:53Speaker 8: misery here. Maybe you could have married the wrong person.
- 7:56Speaker 8: Maybe you have kids and you're not really ready to
- 7:58Speaker 8: be a mother or a father. To look at the upside, man,
- 8:01Speaker 8: Quit looking at what you don't have. Take some time
- 8:04Speaker 8: to thank God for what you do have. When you
- 8:07Speaker 8: do that, you make more room for blessings to flow
- 8:09Speaker 8: into your life. I'm not saying how God thinks, because
- 8:13Speaker 8: I really don't know, but I'm telling you if a
- 8:17Speaker 8: person comes to me and I always give a person
- 8:19Speaker 8: something and they never appear grateful, or they never say
- 8:22Speaker 8: thank you, please, know you can quit coming to me now.
- 8:27Speaker 8: I don't notice how God works because I've gone back
- 8:30Speaker 8: to him several times without being grateful of thanking him,
- 8:33Speaker 8: and he's filled my basket up again. So I really
- 8:37Speaker 8: think he's not like that. But I can't make the
- 8:39Speaker 8: call for sure. But I think at one point in time,
- 8:44Speaker 8: me it's just me talking. I'd be a little ticked
- 8:46Speaker 8: off at somebody who was always taking, taking, taking, and
- 8:50Speaker 8: never showing any gratitude. At one point in time, I
- 8:53Speaker 8: would just stop the flow of the take you know,
- 8:56Speaker 8: you just you can't take no more from me.
- 8:58Speaker 2: That's what I would do.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Now.
- 9:00Speaker 8: I'm not calling it like that because I ain't him,
- 9:03Speaker 8: but I know he's merciful, He's full of goodness and
- 9:06Speaker 8: he and he'll forgive you. And thank God he does
- 9:09Speaker 8: that because he's show enough done it for me. But wow, man,
- 9:12Speaker 8: take some time out today and be grateful for what
- 9:14Speaker 8: you have, stop complaining about where you not, and think
- 9:18Speaker 8: about where you are, and then take it from there.
- 9:20Speaker 8: And the next time you make a list, make sure
- 9:23Speaker 8: on that list you have God's will. What does he
- 9:26Speaker 8: want for you? Does God create give everybody a gift
- 9:29Speaker 8: and a talent. Some of us never apply gifts and talents.
- 9:32Speaker 8: We head off in another direction. Then you wonder why
- 9:35Speaker 8: your life ain't where it's supposed to be. Have you
- 9:37Speaker 8: ever thought about what God gifted you to do? Have
- 9:39Speaker 8: you ever thought about doing that? And still skip what
- 9:42Speaker 8: you want? I wanted to play in the NBA, but
- 9:44Speaker 8: I got to tell you something. At dribbling and shooting
- 9:47Speaker 8: and running all at one time throwing me off a
- 9:50Speaker 8: little bit. You know, they just so I'm doing what
- 9:53Speaker 8: I do. It's pretty cool. You can look at it
- 9:55Speaker 8: that way.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Okay, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, Ladies
- 10:01Speaker 1: and gentlemen, is here another great day.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Thank you, Heavenly father. I show appreciate it.
- 10:05Speaker 8: Man.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Started my day off with gratitude. I'm spreading it.
- 10:09Speaker 8: If you get your gratitude together, it affects your attitude.
- 10:11Speaker 8: If your attitude gets affected, this direct correlation to your altitude.
- 10:16Speaker 8: It's about them tudes, man, get them up, get them started.
- 10:19Speaker 8: It's gonna be a great day to day. I lived
- 10:21Speaker 8: my life with that expectation. I had a little moment
- 10:23Speaker 8: yesterday while I felt a little some kind of way,
- 10:27Speaker 8: you know how you just being human and you know
- 10:29Speaker 8: the principles of success, but somehow you.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Just it's just one of them days. And I was
- 10:34Speaker 1: feeling a little, you know, a little off.
- 10:37Speaker 8: I wasn't I was looking at what was wrong, and
- 10:40Speaker 8: I was so focused on what was wrong that I
- 10:43Speaker 8: had stopped momentarily looking at my life and what was right.
- 10:47Speaker 2: But I got it back on track.
- 10:49Speaker 8: But I was in this little funk for about about
- 10:51Speaker 8: ninety minutes, and I remembered something that I read somewhere
- 10:55Speaker 8: like whenever you can't explain your emotion. If you're feeling
- 10:59Speaker 8: like little foggy, a little darker, you feel like blah,
- 11:03Speaker 8: all you have to do is retrace the conversations you've
- 11:07Speaker 8: had with yourself the fifteen minutes prior. Go back to
- 11:13Speaker 8: fifteen minutes prior, because your emotions, the what you feel
- 11:19Speaker 8: is actually a barometer of what you've been thinking. It's
- 11:23Speaker 8: like your internal thermostat. You are the temperature gauge in
- 11:28Speaker 8: your own life. So what you have to do is
- 11:30Speaker 8: when you feel these little moments of darkness and gloom
- 11:35Speaker 8: and sadness and depression, all you gotta do is track
- 11:38Speaker 8: the last fifteen minutes. As long as you can track
- 11:41Speaker 8: those last fifteen minutes of thoughts, you can now explain
- 11:44Speaker 8: your situation. And when I started tracking that, I was
- 11:47Speaker 8: just on a negative plane. And so I went right
- 11:50Speaker 8: back and put myself on the positive plane, and I
- 11:53Speaker 8: was able to self correct myself. Now that didn't make
- 11:55Speaker 8: the problem go away, no, But the focus wasn't on
- 11:58Speaker 8: the problem anymore. The focus was on the God that
- 12:02Speaker 8: has given me every solution I've ever had prior to this.
- 12:06Speaker 8: That right there changes everything. I have no problems that's
- 12:12Speaker 8: bigger than my God. Come on, boy, once you wake
- 12:16Speaker 8: up to that realization, you can get on with it.
- 12:19Speaker 8: That's how I'm opening to show this morning, Junior. I
- 12:22Speaker 8: love to say what's wrong with you today? But all
- 12:24Speaker 8: you're gonna ask me to do is explain it.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I mean, really, you should have just explained that because
- 12:29Speaker 2: I didn't even think about that. I got that same problem.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Bruh.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Everybody has that problem.
- 12:34Speaker 8: It's not new to mankind to be human, you know,
- 12:37Speaker 8: it's nothing, nothing new about it. And we all have
- 12:40Speaker 8: those moments where we just find ourselves in a little funk,
- 12:43Speaker 8: a little bit of gloom. But if you retrust the
- 12:47Speaker 8: previous fifteen minutes of thought, there it is because all
- 12:50Speaker 8: your emotions are is a barometer of what you've been thinking.
- 12:54Speaker 1: So if you change what you think, if you change.
- 12:56Speaker 8: Your attitude, it affects your altitudes. So I put my
- 13:00Speaker 8: attitude on a positive plane, and all of a sudden,
- 13:04Speaker 8: I felt better.
- 13:05Speaker 2: So instead of looking at what I didn't.
- 13:07Speaker 8: Have and what was going wrong, I shifted my thinking
- 13:11Speaker 8: and I started focusing on what was going right in
- 13:14Speaker 8: my life, and I started thinking him for the blessings
- 13:17Speaker 8: that I had and all of a sudden, what I
- 13:20Speaker 8: didn't have seemed so small in comparison to what I had.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Oh you asked and answered your own question. Yes, better
- 13:31Speaker 1: let him use you a whole word.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I needed that myself.
- 13:37Speaker 9: Yeah you did, coming up at thirty two minutes after
- 13:39Speaker 9: the hour. It's the nephew, and run that prank back

- 14:23Speaker 9: prank back and the nephew.
- 14:25Speaker 1: What do you have for us this morning? Going on?
- 14:28Speaker 10: You know, I got it, I got it. Surveillance. This
- 14:32Speaker 10: is surveillance. Okay, it's what you should all have around
- 14:36Speaker 10: your house at this point. Pur valence, you got a
- 14:39Speaker 10: smart house.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Everybody else don't.
- 14:42Speaker 10: You can't have no dumb house in this day. Tank
- 14:44Speaker 10: have a smart house. But come, okay, dog surveillance, let's
- 14:52Speaker 10: get it.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Hell.
- 14:55Speaker 10: Yes, I'm trying to reach your please. Hello, I'm trying
- 15:00Speaker 10: to reach you missus police. Hello, my name is officer
- 15:05Speaker 10: from the Police Department, Narcotics Division. And where's the call
- 15:09Speaker 10: from Police Department Narcotics Division.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Man, my name is the officer. Okay, I'm giving you
- 15:15Speaker 2: a call.
- 15:16Speaker 10: There is a possibility. I'm wanted trying to get the
- 15:19Speaker 10: particulars with you. You have two sons?
- 15:22Speaker 2: Do you have one in? Okay?
- 15:26Speaker 10: Uh, there's reason to believe that there is some narcotics
- 15:30Speaker 10: going on with these two gentlemen.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Now, I wanted to speak with you about it.
- 15:33Speaker 10: My understanding that you're over the crime watch actually in
- 15:36Speaker 10: that particular area, yes, sir, and I know that here
- 15:40Speaker 10: lately there's been.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Camp Hello.
- 15:44Speaker 11: Hello, hang on the phone.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Go ahead, it's my understanding.
- 15:49Speaker 10: You guys have I know you've put surveillance cameras up
- 15:53Speaker 10: so you can actually get a general area of what's
- 15:55Speaker 10: going on. All right, Yes, sir, Okay, where has it
- 15:59Speaker 10: been within the last last week, because what we've done
- 16:01Speaker 10: is we've put somebody on them and watched them very closely,
- 16:05Speaker 10: and we're wanting to know from you because I understand
- 16:07Speaker 10: that you are the person over the crime watch.
- 16:09Speaker 2: What's going on with your two sons?
- 16:11Speaker 5: Well?
- 16:12Speaker 12: Certain, for one thing, I don't allow drugs selling for
- 16:14Speaker 12: my house period.
- 16:15Speaker 5: I don't.
- 16:16Speaker 12: I don't even allow that because I am the head
- 16:17Speaker 12: of the car watch. I don't even allow people to
- 16:19Speaker 12: even come back here to buy drugs. Okay, Okay, Now
- 16:22Speaker 12: I know some kids that's mad at my kids. They
- 16:25Speaker 12: were calling the cops to my house come into my
- 16:27Speaker 12: house and throwing rocks and everything. But I can assure you, sir,
- 16:32Speaker 12: that's one thing I do not play. I do not
- 16:34Speaker 12: allow people to even come back to my house.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 16:37Speaker 10: Now, are there surveillance cameras, ma'am that are pointing in
- 16:41Speaker 10: any area like in your back that.
- 16:43Speaker 12: You haven't really activated it?
- 16:45Speaker 1: No more?
- 16:45Speaker 2: Okay, where exactly were your cameras pointing? What angle? Were
- 16:49Speaker 2: they towards the road towards you road?
- 16:52Speaker 11: Right?
- 16:52Speaker 2: Is there anything in the backyard area of where you are?
- 16:57Speaker 5: No?
- 16:57Speaker 12: Okay, that's the only one we had.
- 16:59Speaker 10: All right, here's what's going on. We're actually and I'm
- 17:03Speaker 10: gonna just be completely honest with you.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Miss.
- 17:05Speaker 10: There's a possibility of a raid coming in there, because
- 17:08Speaker 10: we truly believe that you are having some type of
- 17:11Speaker 10: countband in that house right there.
- 17:15Speaker 11: Could you just hold on for me to say, sir,
- 17:31Speaker 11: hell see if you can.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Get that tech in here for yes? Okay, yes, have
- 17:37Speaker 2: you spoken with sir?
- 17:38Speaker 12: Let me tell you one thing. Okay, I will bust say.
- 17:43Speaker 12: I don't even if I come back to my house
- 17:45Speaker 12: at all. I don't play that. I'm the head of
- 17:47Speaker 12: cry and watch. I think all they need to go
- 17:49Speaker 12: get a job and and and stop messing up there.
- 17:52Speaker 12: Damn like that's that's that's what's wrong with them.
- 17:54Speaker 11: Okay.
- 17:54Speaker 12: And I don't play that, and and I don't appreciate that.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Okay, are the two boys is there right now?
- 18:00Speaker 5: Yeah? They're here?
- 18:01Speaker 2: Can I speak with those guys one by one? Please?
- 18:04Speaker 2: Do you mind if I do that?
- 18:05Speaker 1: Miss?
- 18:08Speaker 12: They don't want to come to the farm.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Nobody wants to talk to the office of the law.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Huh uh. What do you think, miss?
- 18:15Speaker 10: I'm gonna try to handle us as diligently as possible.
- 18:17Speaker 10: Do you think I should come out and speak with
- 18:19Speaker 10: your boys there?
- 18:20Speaker 1: At.
- 18:20Speaker 2: No, I'm trying to avoid a raid happen.

- 46:50Speaker 5: I actually live in uh which is the apartment that
- 46:54Speaker 5: that's our apartments are back to back with each other.
- 46:58Speaker 5: And I'm I don't mean no harm man, but you
- 47:01Speaker 5: are right. Yes, Okay, here's what's going on. It took
- 47:06Speaker 5: me a long time try to figure this out. But
- 47:08Speaker 5: when you come home in the evening and you turn
- 47:12Speaker 5: your life through my my oven and stove come on,
- 47:17Speaker 5: and I'm talking about every out on my stove is
- 47:21Speaker 5: on and burning hot.
- 47:23Speaker 15: How do you know that's because when I turn.
- 47:25Speaker 5: My life on, I just I mean, I didn't figured
- 47:28Speaker 5: it out. It just seemed like every time, I mean,
- 47:30Speaker 5: I hear you when you close your door, and every evening,
- 47:34Speaker 5: I'm like, why is my oven in my stove coming on?
- 47:37Speaker 5: And I'm talking about my whole kitchen just hunting degrees
- 47:40Speaker 5: in there behind the stove being on like that?
- 47:43Speaker 15: Okay, did you call maintenance?
- 47:45Speaker 5: From my understanding, I'm on the list and they're not
- 47:47Speaker 5: gonna get to me for a couple of days now,
- 47:50Speaker 5: so I'm not I'm asking you, miss, you don't mind
- 47:53Speaker 5: to not have your life's on until they come get
- 47:56Speaker 5: this pace.
- 47:57Speaker 15: Okay, So you asking me not to turn on my
- 48:00Speaker 15: lights for three or four days and you know, to
- 48:03Speaker 15: sit in the dark.
- 48:04Speaker 5: Well, I'm just saying it's only gonna be for a
- 48:06Speaker 5: couple of days. I know it's a little bit of
- 48:07Speaker 5: an inconvenience, but I mean, I can't be over here
- 48:10Speaker 5: in the house. You know they're about to burn down.
- 48:12Speaker 15: Are you listening to what you're saying? You're asking me
- 48:15Speaker 15: to sit in the dark. You know, I got a baby.
- 48:16Speaker 5: I can't sit in the dark, Okay. I mean, do
- 48:19Speaker 5: y'all have any camels or something y'all can work with
- 48:21Speaker 5: or something like that.
- 48:22Speaker 15: I have to give my baby food milk. I mean, really,
- 48:26Speaker 15: you want me to sit in the dark, and you
- 48:28Speaker 15: don't want me to turn anything on. You know, I
- 48:30Speaker 15: got to feed my baby.
- 48:31Speaker 5: I understand, and and and much respect to you and
- 48:35Speaker 5: your child, much respect. But what I'm trying to explain
- 48:38Speaker 5: to you is, I mean, we have to look at
- 48:40Speaker 5: the big hazard here. The bigger hazard here is is
- 48:42Speaker 5: that I'm over here with fire on.
- 48:45Speaker 15: Okay, First of all, where are you getting this wee from?
- 48:47Speaker 15: How am I involved in your situation? I have nothing that's.
- 48:51Speaker 3: Going on in your house.
- 48:52Speaker 5: Your life is patched in some kind of way to
- 48:54Speaker 5: my ovens and stole.
- 48:56Speaker 15: Okay, but I still I don't have anything to do
- 48:58Speaker 15: with that. You know, you need to call management whatever.
- 49:03Speaker 15: But I don't have anything any of that. And I
- 49:05Speaker 15: want to know, how do you know when I get
- 49:08Speaker 15: home and turn on my lights? I mean, like, are
- 49:10Speaker 15: you looking at my window or something? Are you a
- 49:11Speaker 15: peeping tong? Do I need to call nine one one.
- 49:14Speaker 5: You don't need to call nobody on me. Now, what
- 49:16Speaker 5: we need to get somebody over here and fix this
- 49:18Speaker 5: other than the stove. That's what we got to get done.
- 49:20Speaker 5: But until then, right now, you can't turn them lights off.
- 49:25Speaker 15: Oh, I'm turning on my life list. I mean, I
- 49:28Speaker 15: know you ain't trying to regulate what I do in
- 49:30Speaker 15: my house.
- 49:30Speaker 5: I'm fin listening. I'm gonna tell you, just like this here,
- 49:33Speaker 5: I'm gonna need you to keep them lights off until
- 49:35Speaker 5: me this get over here in two days.
- 49:37Speaker 3: Now.
- 49:38Speaker 5: If I see this stove come on and all these
- 49:42Speaker 5: eyes on this stove come on, then I'm finna come
- 49:46Speaker 5: back over there and we're gonna have directifire prowlem. But
- 49:48Speaker 5: I cannot have this coming on.
- 49:50Speaker 15: So you're threatening me now, I'm not.
- 49:52Speaker 5: No, I'm not, no, I am not. I'm telling you
- 49:55Speaker 5: not to turn the lights off. That's what I'm asking
- 49:58Speaker 5: you to do.
- 49:58Speaker 15: Well, I can't sit in the dark and I'm gonna
- 50:00Speaker 15: turn on my lights. So you know you're gonna have
- 50:02Speaker 15: to deal with it.
- 50:03Speaker 5: No, I'm not gonna deal with it. You're gonna have
- 50:05Speaker 5: to actually turn the lights off. Now I understand. Do
- 50:08Speaker 5: you have somewhere you can go stay me.
- 50:11Speaker 15: Do you have somewhere you can go stay? I'm not
- 50:13Speaker 15: leaving my house. I don't have a problem. You and
- 50:15Speaker 15: the one with the problem.
- 50:17Speaker 5: I'm not lean here and then you turn it on,
- 50:19Speaker 5: and then you over.
- 50:20Speaker 15: Here and knock on my door. You think you see
- 50:22Speaker 15: fire in your stove. You're gonna see some fire. I
- 50:24Speaker 15: can show you some fire.
- 50:25Speaker 5: Okay, listen, I'm trying to work it you as calmly
- 50:28Speaker 5: as I can.
- 50:28Speaker 15: Okay, they're trying to work with me calmly.
- 50:30Speaker 5: Okay.
- 50:30Speaker 15: The only thing you're doing right now is you're trying
- 50:32Speaker 15: to tell me what to do and run my household.
- 50:35Speaker 1: Okay.
- 50:35Speaker 5: If you're not gonna work with me, then that's what
- 50:37Speaker 5: I'm gonna do. But I already found out where the
- 50:39Speaker 5: break is. I just go and just turn all the
- 50:42Speaker 5: power off so you don't have your power wall on
- 50:44Speaker 5: it off?
- 50:44Speaker 15: Wait a minute, what, No, you can't turn my breakrop?
- 50:48Speaker 6: Are you crazy?
- 50:49Speaker 11: I got to do what I got to do.
- 50:50Speaker 5: I can't start no file out here.
- 50:52Speaker 15: You get my phone number anyway? I mean, how you
- 50:54Speaker 15: know my name? My number? Artist? You know what I'm
- 50:58Speaker 15: about to come home? And he gonna put the it
- 51:00Speaker 15: up here. I don't care if he put your in
- 51:02Speaker 15: the of and we set your on fire. What you
- 51:06Speaker 15: talking about? You gonna damn turn the break off.
- 51:10Speaker 5: I'm trying to kill me and prevent a farm for
- 51:11Speaker 5: the whole complex, and you up in there trying to
- 51:14Speaker 5: commit U This is like aunser for you to.
- 51:17Speaker 8: Turn that on.
- 51:18Speaker 15: I don't give you want. You already got a problem,

- 56:32Speaker 2: All right?
- 56:32Speaker 9: Subject, take my money, my house, and my car. Dear
- 56:36Speaker 9: Stephen Shirley, I'm writing this letter for my older brother
- 56:40Speaker 9: that is in love with a gold digger. That term
- 56:43Speaker 9: may not apply to new relationships, because I know a
- 56:46Speaker 9: man is supposed to provide for a woman if he's
- 56:48Speaker 9: sleeping with her, But too many times he's called me
- 56:51Speaker 9: to complain about her misusing and abusing his kindnesses. He
- 56:56Speaker 9: gives her money to go out with her girlfriend's most weekends,
- 56:59Speaker 9: and then she won't even call him till Sunday after
- 57:02Speaker 9: she's been out during whatever she wants to do. In
- 57:05Speaker 9: case you are wondering, my brother is thirty four years old,
- 57:09Speaker 9: but he's the quiet, shy type. He manages several properties
- 57:13Speaker 9: and he owns a barbershop, but he doesn't cut hair.
- 57:16Speaker 9: He has plenty of money and free time, and all
- 57:19Speaker 9: he wants is to spend it with someone that loves him.
- 57:22Speaker 9: He's asked his girlfriend to move in with him, but
- 57:25Speaker 9: she said it's too soon now, so now he's trying
- 57:30Speaker 9: to get her an engagement ring to make things official.
- 57:33Speaker 9: I hinted to her that after two years he's ready
- 57:37Speaker 9: to settle down, and she said there is no way
- 57:40Speaker 9: that they're ready for marriage. Supposedly, my brother told her
- 57:43Speaker 9: to take his money, his house, and his car and
- 57:45Speaker 9: whatever else she needs to be happy. She knows she's
- 57:49Speaker 9: got him right where she wants him, and I can't
- 57:51Speaker 9: stand by and let her play him like that. I
- 57:53Speaker 9: understand that I don't have a dog in that fight,
- 57:55Speaker 9: and if she's making him happy, then I should butt
- 57:58Speaker 9: out of it. But my question is, if I have
- 58:00Speaker 9: proof that she is sleeping with another man, and she's
- 58:03Speaker 9: been seen driving the man around in my brother's car,
- 58:06Speaker 9: should I tell him? My brother practically raised me, and
- 58:09Speaker 9: I want the best for him, So what do I
- 58:12Speaker 9: do in this situation? Will he hate me forever if
- 58:14Speaker 9: I tell him this? Well, the answer to that question
- 58:19Speaker 9: is maybe not forever, but he will be upset with you.
- 58:22Speaker 9: And look at this, You might not have to do
- 58:25Speaker 9: anything because your big brother has these are your words
- 58:29Speaker 9: now called you too many times to complain about her
- 58:32Speaker 9: misusing and abusing his kindnesses.
- 58:34Speaker 1: So maybe he's getting fed up in some.
- 58:37Speaker 9: Sort of way because people you know, are really feeling
- 58:42Speaker 9: when they really are feeling someone and you start to
- 58:44Speaker 9: get all up in their business. Yes, you do run
- 58:47Speaker 9: the risk of them turning on you if you tell them.
- 58:51Speaker 9: I mean, that's a known fact. I know you care
- 58:54Speaker 9: about your brother. I can see it in a letter.
- 58:56Speaker 1: I know you do, and you should.
- 58:57Speaker 9: He's your brother. But whatever you say to him at
- 59:00Speaker 9: this point, he's not gonna hear it. He's not gonna
- 59:03Speaker 9: see it because he is not trying to hear it.
- 59:05Speaker 1: And he doesn't want to. Your brother is a big boy,
- 59:08Speaker 1: he's a grown.
- 59:09Speaker 9: Man who's gonna find out one of these life lessons,
- 59:12Speaker 9: life lessons that you get only by the experience of
- 59:15Speaker 9: being with someone like this, someone who uh he let
- 59:20Speaker 9: drive his car and she's driving some other man around
- 59:23Speaker 9: in it. Okay, she's obviously a user, she's taking advantage
- 59:26Speaker 9: of your brother.
- 59:27Speaker 1: But it's not your business. I'm sorry, it's not your
- 59:29Speaker 1: job to tell him this.
- 59:31Speaker 9: He will find out sooner or later because they always
- 59:34Speaker 9: find out, and uh, just be there for him when
- 59:36Speaker 9: it's over. He will get over her eventually, But right
- 59:39Speaker 9: now he's sprung.
- 59:40Speaker 8: Steve, you know how I respond about people mind and
- 59:44Speaker 8: they business that ain't gonna change.
- 59:46Speaker 1: But my response is going to shock you.
- 59:50Speaker 8: Here's a young girl that's writing this letter for her
- 59:52Speaker 8: older brother that's in love with a gold digger.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Now she thinks that.
- 59:56Speaker 8: That might not apply to relationships, because I know a
- 59:59Speaker 8: man is supposed to provide for a woman if he's
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: sleeping with her. Well, see right there now, And that
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: depends on the arrangement of the arrangement, or shall I
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: say that depends on the agreement of the arrangement. I
- 1:00:16Speaker 8: will provide for you if I see a future. I
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: will invest in you if I see a future or
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: some promise. Now, if we're just kicking it, you might
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: ask me something.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: I might let you have it.
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: But you're not an obligation to me until I feel
- 1:00:33Speaker 8: obliged to help you, because you show an obligation to me.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: So let's get that straight away. But she said, too
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: many times he ben called to.
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: Complain about her misusing and abusing his kindness, he gives
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: her money to go out with his girlfriends, and she
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: been out doing whatever she want to do. She don't
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: call him till Sunday. Now, then she says, my brother's
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: thirty four. But he's a quiet shot. He manages several properties.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: He owns a barbershop, but he don't cut hair. Smart guy,
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: smart guy. He has plenty of money in free time,
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: and all he wants is suspended with somebody that loves him. Now,
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: this sounds like a good dude, but he's smart too.
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: He bought a barbershop and don't cut hair. Lord, have mercy.
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: So that chair that he would normally be mad and
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: making forty dollars a cut, this boy that gave that
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: chair to somebody else and charging that dude for the chair,
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: and he can keep his for the cut.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: But I'm gonna need one hundred and fifty two hundred
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: a week for the chair.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Whatever it is.
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: Man, I'm finna go owe me a damn barbershop. Appreciate
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: the idea, man, I never thought of that. But he
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: don't cut hair. He got plenty of money in free
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: time and he just wants somebody. So he asked his
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: girlfriend to move in him. But she say it's too soon.
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: So now he's trying to get her an engagement rien
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: to make things official. I think somewhere in there he's
- 1:01:57Speaker 8: been seeing her for two years. That correct, two years?
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Uh huh, a couple of.
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: Years anyway, Supposedly my brother now she's he hitted that
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: after two years he's ready to settle down. She said,
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: there's no weight. They're ready for marriage, and it's gonna
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: be obvious in this letter. My brother told her to
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: take his money, his house's card, whatever else she needs
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: to be happy. She knows she's got him right where
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: she wants and I can't stand by let him play
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: it like that. Shirley says, he's a big boy and
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: he's grown. That's a true statement. What Shirley failed to
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: tell you is that your brother is whipped. Yes, yo,
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: brother is whipped.
- 1:02:34Speaker 9: Hang on, Steve, Today's strawberry letter subject take my money,
- 1:02:38Speaker 9: my house, and my car. We'll get back into it
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:02:47Speaker 10: Holidays are here and it's essential to recognize and personal
- 1:02:50Speaker 10: safety is a year round priority.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: It's mine and why I have the burn Up Launcher.
- 1:02:55Speaker 10: Equipped with powerful non lethal deterrence including teargas and kinetic
- 1:02:59Speaker 10: round with a.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Sixty foot range.
- 1:03:01Speaker 10: Now it's legal in off fifty SAgs, requires no background checks.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: Off hermit's ship directly to your door.
- 1:03:08Speaker 10: Visit Bernard dot com slash tom me for an exclusive
- 1:03:10Speaker 10: ten percent discount, and they offer by now, pay later options.
- 1:03:14Speaker 10: That's BYRNA dot com.
- 1:03:17Speaker 9: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:21Speaker 9: The subject take my money, in my house and my car.
- 1:03:23Speaker 9: When we left, you were gonna tell the difference between
- 1:03:26Speaker 9: sprung and whipped.
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: This boy in this letter, this thirty four year old man,
- 1:03:31Speaker 8: this being used by this woman. He wants to move
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: it further to marriage. She said, it's no way. I
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: wish too early to get married. I'll tell you why,
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: she said, Dad, he's giving her everything. He's told her
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: to take her his car, his house, his money, just
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: whatever else she needs to be happy. She knows she's
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: got him right where she wants. And I can't stand
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: by and let him play like that, I said. Shirley
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: is absolutely right in saying that he's a big boy
- 1:03:59Speaker 8: in the grown Man. She just left off the fact
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: that he's quipped. Shirley said, he's sprung. There is a difference.
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: Let me help you understand something, ladies. Sprong it's when
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: a man is around you and he feels all tingry.
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: Sprong is when a man is around you and he
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: feels all giddy. Sprung is when a man wants to
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: be in your company all the time. That's sprung. Okay,
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: Sprung is wondering what you do where you're going? Quill
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: is different, quill. She don't put something on this boy.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: So strong.
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: It's damn neil voodoo, the old saying. Is he looking
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: for her in the daytime with a flash?
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: All right, Julie noted, Okay, this is.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: How he talked when he round him.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Babling this this boy right here, sprong.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: When they in the bed, This boy, he boy, he
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: can't control himself. And she got it. And that's what
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: the problem is.
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: Now. She knows she got him right where she wants him.
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: And I can't stand by and let him play like that.
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: I understand that I don't have a dog in this fight.
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: And if she's making him happy, then I should butt out. Well,
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: she's not making him happy, she's making him unhappy. He
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: always calls you to complain about he's being misused, but
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: that whipped thing, that thing got him thinking it he
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: can fix it.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: So now he want to rush to get her a
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: ring because he wants her to.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: Move forward with this. But now.
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: The young girl says that she has proof she's sleeping
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: with another man and she's been seen driving the man
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: aroun in my brother's car. Should I tell him? My
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: brother practically raised me. I want the best for him,
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: So what should I do in this? Will he hate
- 1:06:07Speaker 8: me forever if I tell him this? No, he won't
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: hate you forever. Because this is a different situation. And
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: here is the shaka. Yes you should tell him what,
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: Steve what? Yes, you should tell him.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: See this is quite different, oh, because listen to me.
- 1:06:31Speaker 11: See.
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: Normally it's girlfriends that see their girlfriend's man out somewhere
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: and see him with a woman not in the act
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: of nothing, but then wants to report that you don't
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: know what that situation is over there, and that report
- 1:06:47Speaker 8: and that that ain't you gonna start to fire a
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: house that don't need to get lit.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: This is different.
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: This is a young sister trying to protect her older
- 1:06:58Speaker 8: brother and ask proof that she's sleeping with another man
- 1:07:03Speaker 8: because she's seen another man in her brother car with her.
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: You got to tell your brother.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: So the proof, it's because she has proof.
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: She got proofd This ain't speculation. She's been seen in
- 1:07:15Speaker 8: the car with another man. Hey man, that is so
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: damn disrespectful on her part and justice disrespectful on the dupot.
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: And he's your brother. This ain't your friend. This your brother.
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: You have got to go and tell your brother this.
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: Will he hate me? Father, He gonna be a little
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: ticked at you, but he gonna get over that because
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: he needs to.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Know the truth.
- 1:07:41Speaker 8: This is why she say it's too early to get married,
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: because she got access to his money, his house, and
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: his car. He knows she'll give him anything, and she
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: can have her cake and eat it too. Why would
- 1:07:55Speaker 8: she get married and stop the gravy train when the
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: gravy trainers rolled in all over town.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: You have got to tell your brother this information. And
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: I know y'all are.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Surprised, but this is speech.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Let me tell you something.
