- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time to y'all don't know y'all have
- 0:10Speaker 1: a suit looking back to back down, giving them more
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the Milican buck things in the cubs. Me true,
- 0:20Speaker 1: good it. Steve har listening to the move to other
- 0:27Speaker 1: for Steve hand please me, I don't join join me
- 0:51Speaker 1: in doing me. Honey. You gotta turning you are you
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn out? You got to turn them out?
- 1:45Speaker 1: Then turn the water the water go. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your baby, Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now
- 2:08Speaker 1: wanting only Steve Harvey man old man got a radio show. Yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I do. God so big to me, man, I just
- 2:15Speaker 1: have to tell you about it. I can't help it.
- 2:18Speaker 1: It's rather obvious to me how big, how good God is.
- 2:23Speaker 1: He's absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain, you know, man,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I want to share something with you today. You know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: if you're out there, start your mission today, why don't
- 2:36Speaker 1: we all decide together better yet? Let's just kill that
- 2:41Speaker 1: because you don't that just individually? Look you listening, everybody's
- 2:46Speaker 1: got something that's that's on the table that they haven't
- 2:49Speaker 1: yet attacked yet. What are you waiting for start your
- 2:53Speaker 1: mission today. Stop the procrastination now. And if you and
- 2:58Speaker 1: if you allow practical man, if you allow procrastination to
- 3:02Speaker 1: set in, then that that allows then which is a weakness,
- 3:09Speaker 1: you know, but that allows the devil then to just
- 3:11Speaker 1: really do his thing, because an idle mind is the
- 3:14Speaker 1: devil's playground. So if you ain't working on your goal's dreams,
- 3:17Speaker 1: aspirations or visions, and you you just waking up seeing
- 3:21Speaker 1: how today gonna go, or the devil he got plenty
- 3:23Speaker 1: for it for you to do. See, But if you
- 3:26Speaker 1: get your mind right on your goal and your focus
- 3:29Speaker 1: and your purpose, then you can go on about your business.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Then when the distraction comes, you can catch yourself. Now,
- 3:35Speaker 1: that don't mean you ain't gonna fall privy or fall
- 3:37Speaker 1: prey to some of your distractions, because you will, but
- 3:41Speaker 1: you will have a goal in mind, an aspiration that
- 3:44Speaker 1: makes you go. Hold on, man, I got to stay
- 3:46Speaker 1: focused here because what I really want while I'm really
- 3:49Speaker 1: trying to go the thing that I'm really after, this
- 3:52Speaker 1: new little thing that's being introduced, this don't fit into
- 3:56Speaker 1: the equation. Man, Let me keep it moving. All you
- 3:59Speaker 1: may step off the line for a little while you know,
- 4:02Speaker 1: like I said yesterday, your thing about God is he's
- 4:04Speaker 1: so forgiving that if you get out of line, he'll
- 4:07Speaker 1: hold your place. See that's the real cool thing. A
- 4:09Speaker 1: lot of people to do that for you too. Like
- 4:11Speaker 1: I said, if you're the movie theater or you're an
- 4:13Speaker 1: amusement park and you're in the line and you forget something,
- 4:15Speaker 1: if you politely ask the person behind you, hey, man,
- 4:18Speaker 1: I gotta run to my car left something, would you
- 4:20Speaker 1: hold my place, most people say, fine, you gotta go ahead,
- 4:23Speaker 1: and when you come back, they don't have a problem.
- 4:25Speaker 1: See your problem is is you want to get out
- 4:27Speaker 1: the line, go do something, then come back and just
- 4:30Speaker 1: get up in the line further up than you were,
- 4:32Speaker 1: or cut somebody. Now you got a problem because see
- 4:35Speaker 1: everybody looking at you now, like Roy Wall partner, where
- 4:37Speaker 1: you come from. You know the line start back here.
- 4:41Speaker 1: But see the thing with God is God don't do that.
- 4:43Speaker 1: God don't say the line start back here. God holds
- 4:47Speaker 1: your place. When you make a mistake and you fall
- 4:49Speaker 1: off the line, God holds your place. But if you
- 4:52Speaker 1: ain't got no dreams, aspiration, if you ain't got no place,
- 4:56Speaker 1: what he holding for you? See I mean he got
- 4:59Speaker 1: a play for you, but you gotta come to it.
- 5:02Speaker 1: See some people if well, here's what I'm saying. If
- 5:05Speaker 1: you got a goal or aspiration, a dream and you
- 5:08Speaker 1: fall off track momentarily, you can get back to that
- 5:13Speaker 1: because God know where you're left off. Now you may
- 5:17Speaker 1: have to accomplish a few more things since you stop
- 5:19Speaker 1: for a long period of time, but God know where
- 5:21Speaker 1: you left off. You can get back on track. I look, man,
- 5:25Speaker 1: this dream of being on TV since I was a kid,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and it got off track. Now it got off track.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I just kept it as one of the dreams. And
- 5:34Speaker 1: in some real dog moments when it looked like it
- 5:37Speaker 1: wasn't gonna happen, all I was hanging on to was
- 5:40Speaker 1: just a hope that one day it could. But that's
- 5:43Speaker 1: what faith is really about. Faith is the belief in
- 5:47Speaker 1: things that you cannot see. But faith gives you the
- 5:51Speaker 1: confidence to keep hoping. Man, sometime it just keep hope alive.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Sometimes you heard Jesse Jackson said, just keep hope alive.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Sometimes times, man, it's just the hope. I was hanging
- 6:03Speaker 1: on the hope. And I'm talking about when it got
- 6:07Speaker 1: real ugly and funky out there for me, when it
- 6:10Speaker 1: looked like I wasn't gonna ever make it, and all
- 6:13Speaker 1: of the facts was in and everything pointed in the
- 6:16Speaker 1: direction you're not gonna make it. You didn't really messed
- 6:19Speaker 1: up this time. Then I sat there and I just
- 6:22Speaker 1: hung on to the hope. But man, that's what I'm saying.
- 6:26Speaker 1: If you got a dream on aspiration of vision or something,
- 6:30Speaker 1: when you fall off track and you want to go
- 6:33Speaker 1: get back in line, God holds your place. He knew
- 6:37Speaker 1: I was off tracking how the line, but he said, okay,
- 6:40Speaker 1: here's where we stopped. You want to be on TV
- 6:42Speaker 1: that when you get it together and you quit tripping
- 6:44Speaker 1: and you come in your turn to me, I'm gonna
- 6:46Speaker 1: hold your place, put you back in line. Then we're
- 6:48Speaker 1: gonna finish the journey. That took me a lot longer
- 6:50Speaker 1: to get here than I wanted to, But then it
- 6:53Speaker 1: was necessary because I needed all of the mishaps to
- 6:56Speaker 1: happen to me along the way. So when I got
- 6:58Speaker 1: on the radio one day, which I did not see coming,
- 7:01Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all. That's why I said,
- 7:04Speaker 1: every day, see because of this radio show that I
- 7:06Speaker 1: didn't see coming. Now I have stories to tell and
- 7:10Speaker 1: I can tell you about me better than I can
- 7:12Speaker 1: tell you about anybody. And I haven't been through enough
- 7:16Speaker 1: whereas relatable, where enough people can go. Man, that happened
- 7:19Speaker 1: to me. Appreciate you saying that that's what it was for. See,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I get it now. See at the time, though I
- 7:25Speaker 1: didn't like what was happening to me. At the time,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I was really in total disagreement with God on a
- 7:31Speaker 1: lot of stuff he was pulling off on me. But
- 7:33Speaker 1: in essence I was really pulling it off on myself.
- 7:37Speaker 1: But through his grace and mercy, he kept me through
- 7:39Speaker 1: all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations,
- 7:44Speaker 1: all my misfires, all the times I knowingly stepped out
- 7:49Speaker 1: there and died wrong. He forgave me, He said, because man,
- 7:53Speaker 1: if you ever come to me, I have a plan
- 7:56Speaker 1: for you that it is going to be far and above.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It will supersede everything you've ever dreamed of. That's what
- 8:04Speaker 1: I did. I just got sick on me, good and
- 8:07Speaker 1: sick of me, and I turned it over to God.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And then God started working. And here I am today now.
- 8:15Speaker 1: See threw it me yet? Nope? Have I arrived yet? Nope?
- 8:20Speaker 1: But guess what the journey is cool? And then you
- 8:24Speaker 1: know what I found out. That's kind of what it's
- 8:26Speaker 1: like in life. If you don't walked off the cliff
- 8:29Speaker 1: in life and you ain't got no God in your life,
- 8:33Speaker 1: it's like not having a parachute. You step off the
- 8:36Speaker 1: cliff and you just free falling. We all now that
- 8:40Speaker 1: fall gets you closer to the grave, right see, we
- 8:43Speaker 1: all heading to the grave from the moment we're born.
- 8:45Speaker 1: But the cool thing about a relationship with God is
- 8:48Speaker 1: when you step off the cliff and you got God
- 8:51Speaker 1: here a parachute. You're still going down, but it's a
- 8:54Speaker 1: nice ride. You guide and you're glad, and you're softly,
- 8:58Speaker 1: you enjoying your looking around, you're smiling, you're meeting other
- 9:01Speaker 1: people along the way. You're floating over here to Skiale
- 9:05Speaker 1: a little while. You over there at the beach for
- 9:08Speaker 1: a little while. You mess around over here. You get
- 9:11Speaker 1: to go out of the country a little bit on
- 9:12Speaker 1: your parachuting. All that, and God just helps your your
- 9:16Speaker 1: descent appear more like a rise and then more like
- 9:19Speaker 1: a euphoric fall. Instead of not having no God in
- 9:23Speaker 1: your life and you're just walking off that cliff, every
- 9:26Speaker 1: day free falling. Ain't got no core, you steady pulling,
- 9:30Speaker 1: you hauling the whole way because you to mess around
- 9:33Speaker 1: with yourself and ain't let God come into your life
- 9:35Speaker 1: and provide a parachute for you. I would rather have
- 9:39Speaker 1: a parachute since I got to jump every day, than
- 9:42Speaker 1: to not have one. God has been like a parachute
- 9:46Speaker 1: from me. Ask me why where that came from. I
- 9:50Speaker 1: can't tell you, But like I always say, most good
- 9:52Speaker 1: things that happened in my life that I can't explain,
- 9:55Speaker 1: it's usually him. You're listening show, Ladies and gentlemen, man,
- 10:16Speaker 1: have your undivided attention. Please. This is to Steve Harvey
- 10:19Speaker 1: Morning so Show. Excited to be here because it's morning,
- 10:24Speaker 1: Excited to be here because God has allowed us to
- 10:26Speaker 1: live to see another day. Excited to be here because well,
- 10:31Speaker 1: to put in Molly, if you ain't here, where would
- 10:34Speaker 1: you be? I kind of like it right here, Ladies
- 10:37Speaker 1: and general, Welcome to the ever grateful Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:40Speaker 1: This show is dedicated to all people out there who
- 10:43Speaker 1: are grateful and who can find something to be grateful for.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry, Oh, just grateful to be here. Thank you
- 10:50Speaker 1: so much, Thank you so much. Good morning, Steve fool
- 10:57Speaker 1: I love that. Very grateful, thank you for that song
- 11:00Speaker 1: and trust Steve, Good morning crew, shooting your boy morning. Uh.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I'm grateful to be here, so I can't be upset
- 11:07Speaker 1: by my team performance. Well, I'm still in Ghana, so
- 11:12Speaker 1: I can't watch football. They have no football here and
- 11:15Speaker 1: they have no NBA, so it's great. I mean, they
- 11:18Speaker 1: got a program over here in Ghana, but I can't
- 11:21Speaker 1: watch nothing, so I don't know the skull. I don't
- 11:24Speaker 1: know who winning, who won, I don't know. I don't
- 11:27Speaker 1: know where nothing is. I don't nothing to help me,
- 11:31Speaker 1: Lord Jesus, nephew, top top top top up the moaning,
- 11:35Speaker 1: Uncle Steve, I am grateful. And when you get back,
- 11:38Speaker 1: we're gonna let you know what your Cleveland Brown has
- 11:40Speaker 1: been up to. Sing you don't know, We're gonna tell
- 11:44Speaker 1: him today. Big fight on the field with the pittsburghs
- 11:51Speaker 1: Now that was Thursday night. Yea. I heard about that.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I saw, I was online and called it. He didn't
- 11:59Speaker 1: play and the rest of the season he rested. See
- 12:02Speaker 1: him and maybe next once again, what thew and uh, nephew,
- 12:11Speaker 1: you have something else to tell us too, don't you
- 12:13Speaker 1: while you're the shower yesterday? Boy, it felt like shaw
- 12:21Speaker 1: shank them s y'all should have seen me. Boy, y'all
- 12:23Speaker 1: should have seen me. I'm Clesion, ain't Tommy. Now, I've
- 12:28Speaker 1: never done this before. But Jordan got hold to a
- 12:31Speaker 1: cell phone and called me. Oh yeah, he said, what
- 12:36Speaker 1: are you saying? You got to do something about my
- 12:39Speaker 1: damn daddy? He needed his funk ass needed bad. He
- 12:43Speaker 1: did not say that, but that was sentiment, I'm sure Jordan. Yeah, yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 1: you have to do something. He text you all that though. See,
- 13:00Speaker 1: they quarantined me. I was completely casted away from them. Man, wow,
- 13:08Speaker 1: the baby get on the phone. What did you say, Steve?
- 13:13Speaker 1: I said, all right, Joan, I had it, Thank god.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I didn't want him to know I ain't had nothing
- 13:18Speaker 1: to do with it. Calling with such hopes and expectations. Yeah,
- 13:23Speaker 1: I had to get a little little dude something. You know,
- 13:25Speaker 1: he's such a cold little soldier. I said, Man, it'll
- 13:28Speaker 1: make you stronger. He said, I don't want to be
- 13:31Speaker 1: this strong, Luca. Steve, Well, you got to be for
- 13:34Speaker 1: your dad. Oh man, I said, Joan, your dad is strong,
- 13:40Speaker 1: ain't it? He said, too strong? I said, that's how
- 13:43Speaker 1: strong you closed me. All right, well, listen, coming up
- 13:51Speaker 1: at thirty two after the hour, we'll do our weekend review,
- 13:54Speaker 1: find out what the crew did over the weekend. That's
- 13:56Speaker 1: coming up right after this. You're listening Steve every morning show.
- 14:16Speaker 1: So Steve, it's time now for weekend review. We're gonna
- 14:19Speaker 1: find out what happened over the weekend. We know Tommy
- 14:21Speaker 1: finally took a shower after his shoulder surgery. He wasn't
- 14:25Speaker 1: able to get in, so finally he took one. I
- 14:28Speaker 1: am currently in Ghana, still here taking a lot of meetings,
- 14:37Speaker 1: setting up everything. I really came here to promote for
- 14:41Speaker 1: the Ghana families for Family few uh that starts taping,
- 14:46Speaker 1: and so we were a little slow getting to Ghana family.
- 14:50Speaker 1: So I came over and did radio on tv H.
- 14:53Speaker 1: It got us everything we needed. Both Ghana families are
- 14:56Speaker 1: in because they just couldn't believe it. They couldn't believe it,
- 15:01Speaker 1: and so I took care of that. Then I had
- 15:03Speaker 1: some very very important meetings around other business that I'm
- 15:09Speaker 1: involved in over here. It's just been a great trip.
- 15:11Speaker 1: So I went out to oil rig on what day
- 15:18Speaker 1: was that We went Thursday I believe it was Thursday,
- 15:22Speaker 1: went out to the oil rig Wednesday or Thursday, went
- 15:26Speaker 1: out to the oil rigs celebrate with my friend. He's
- 15:29Speaker 1: the first African or African American ever to strike oil.
- 15:36Speaker 1: And wow, ok, no, I mean listen to me. No, no,
- 15:45Speaker 1: he is one of the big boys now. And thirty
- 15:49Speaker 1: eight year old dude educated at Howard University. Thirty eight man,
- 15:55Speaker 1: thirty eight years old, got Howard, got educated at Howard University.
- 16:00Speaker 1: But he's a he's from Ghana and he came back
- 16:04Speaker 1: home with his education and he bought an oil field
- 16:08Speaker 1: or block where they told him there was no oil.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Bb Is on one side of him, and another oil
- 16:12Speaker 1: companies on another one. And now they told him it
- 16:15Speaker 1: wasn't oil, and he believed that it was. He hired
- 16:18Speaker 1: believe it's not man, two brothers from Houston, these two
- 16:22Speaker 1: African Americans from Houston, and they came over and they
- 16:27Speaker 1: believed in him. And he hired his office full of Africans. Man,
- 16:32Speaker 1: you know that's it's a multicultural office, but most of
- 16:35Speaker 1: his employees African, and they believed in him, and they
- 16:38Speaker 1: found oil and he hid it and he Wow, that's
- 16:45Speaker 1: all I can tell you right now because later today
- 16:48Speaker 1: we were with the with the President's office here in Ghana,
- 16:54Speaker 1: and so we have some things to settle with that,
- 16:56Speaker 1: and I can't say anymore about it, but that's what's
- 16:59Speaker 1: been out there. I've been on my first oil rig. Ever,
- 17:04Speaker 1: they need to elevate on the oil rig. I don't
- 17:06Speaker 1: know who the hell billy things. And it's seventeen floors, man,
- 17:11Speaker 1: seventeen floors on an oil rig. But an oi rig
- 17:15Speaker 1: now is very different from what I thought it was,
- 17:17Speaker 1: you know, you know, like off the Gulf, you think
- 17:19Speaker 1: an oil rigs these stations that's built, these platforms that's
- 17:24Speaker 1: built with housing quarters on them, and they drill all
- 17:26Speaker 1: the way down to the seabed and build these rigs
- 17:28Speaker 1: from there. It's different. Now there are actual ships and
- 17:34Speaker 1: the ship has a hole in the center of it
- 17:37Speaker 1: and the drill goes down through the center of the ship.
- 17:44Speaker 1: And so you live on a ship and the drill
- 17:48Speaker 1: goes down through the center of the ship. And that's
- 17:55Speaker 1: how they drill. And man, can't tell you something else.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I learned this trip to after because when I opened
- 18:01Speaker 1: up the door and and I've met with the I
- 18:05Speaker 1: meet the Shanti king on Thursday, King of the Ashanti
- 18:09Speaker 1: nation here in Africa, the largest nation. Do you know
- 18:14Speaker 1: that Noah first of all Muslims believe in Noah's Ark.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Islam talks about Noah's Ark. All religions acknowledge that there
- 18:25Speaker 1: was a Noah's Ark. You understand, mar Noah had three kids.
- 18:34Speaker 1: His children started the Ashanti Kingdom. That's what I learned yesterday.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna open up everybody's eyes to the true history
- 18:49Speaker 1: of this world that's been kept from us, and everybody
- 18:53Speaker 1: acknowledges that they just won't write about it. But Noah's
- 18:58Speaker 1: three children start the Ashanti Kingdom. The African nations were
- 19:03Speaker 1: started by three of Noah's from Noah of the Ark
- 19:06Speaker 1: in the Bible. That's where the Act Kingdom started from.
- 19:10Speaker 1: The Ashanti Kingdom was started from Noah's three children. That's crazy,
- 19:18Speaker 1: because history teacher, Oh, I'm over here learning man, when
- 19:23Speaker 1: I when I when I leave here, I'm going to
- 19:26Speaker 1: unveil this on my website of all that I'm learning
- 19:30Speaker 1: over here, to share it with everybody and to get
- 19:33Speaker 1: African Americans really really keenly interested in coming first of
- 19:37Speaker 1: all to Ghana to see these slave castles. So you
- 19:40Speaker 1: can understand what happened to us. And now I have
- 19:42Speaker 1: two other stops. I'm working with the tourism boards right
- 19:45Speaker 1: now to put it together. It isn't that's a non
- 19:47Speaker 1: revenue trip for me, but it's a learning trip I
- 19:50Speaker 1: want people to I'm gonna put it together as economically
- 19:53Speaker 1: possible feasible as I can, and it's gonna be a
- 19:56Speaker 1: great trip for people to come and take. And Witnes
- 20:00Speaker 1: partner with three countries in Africa that I've been to
- 20:03Speaker 1: that I think would be give you a look at
- 20:05Speaker 1: the total experience in a two week period. That's what
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm working. You think believe if I started drilling in
- 20:11Speaker 1: my backyard, I might hit something absolutely? Yeah, yes, yeah, yeah,
- 20:15Speaker 1: you show, but don't do it with that bad shoulder. Yo. Yeah,
- 20:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna start do it. No, if I do it now,
- 20:24Speaker 1: now you should, man, you should do it and and
- 20:27Speaker 1: and and let me film it. It's gonna be a
- 20:32Speaker 1: one sided drill. And Timmy, if you hit, just can
- 20:36Speaker 1: I have five percent? Yeah, just in your stupid ass
- 20:41Speaker 1: hit Yeah, just in case so you kind of believe
- 20:45Speaker 1: in him, Steve, No, I don't really, but you know,
- 20:48Speaker 1: food sometimes you never know you'll never know, so I
- 20:53Speaker 1: don't want to write him off nothing. Then right right, audience,
- 21:03Speaker 1: I got a show, all right, guys, well coming up next.
- 21:08Speaker 1: It is Monday. Reverend Motown, Deacon deaf jam in the building.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Our family
- 21:35Speaker 1: member stephen A. Smith has a lot to get off
- 21:38Speaker 1: his chest. He's gonna be here to talk about the
- 21:40Speaker 1: big trending sports news to Colin Kaepernick workout. Uh was
- 21:45Speaker 1: it all a publicity stunt? We'll ask stephen A. But
- 21:48Speaker 1: right now, you know what time it is. It is Monday,
- 21:51Speaker 1: Reverend Motown, Deacon def Jammer here with church complaints. Let's go, gracious,
- 22:02Speaker 1: old fault open it up right now. We come to
- 22:08Speaker 1: you on bended knee, Nat, asking for your fervorosity and
- 22:21Speaker 1: your controlative to manifestify the things that are happening in
- 22:29Speaker 1: our world today. Church complaints coming from the by difficult trend,
- 22:37Speaker 1: difficus trend, difficus decadent. I don't know how to accept
- 22:46Speaker 1: my greeting. Accepted as it is, as in the Bible.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Come as you are, and that's how you is. All right, man,
- 22:57Speaker 1: let's just get down to it. These are let's just
- 22:59Speaker 1: be understand. These are not my complaints. These are complaints
- 23:02Speaker 1: from the church for you, the one bringing them. Just
- 23:05Speaker 1: like in the movie god Father, What did the god
- 23:08Speaker 1: Marlon Brando tell Sonny whoever bring you the bad dude? Okay, okay,
- 23:21Speaker 1: I grudge, all right, that's not that's not that's timing,
- 23:28Speaker 1: that's not me. I'm different. Stay with me, Stay with me.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I hideous sister ernesteam Bladelock. I got upset at the
- 23:39Speaker 1: church Gayla this past Saturday night. She said the prime
- 23:43Speaker 1: rep didn't have any seasoning on it, pastor, and she
- 23:47Speaker 1: pepper sprayed it right there on the table. I guess
- 23:51Speaker 1: she thought that was gonna get us some seasons that
- 23:53Speaker 1: were eight members hospitalized. And she sat there and ate
- 23:57Speaker 1: her prime real, what do you want to do with her? Well,
- 24:01Speaker 1: we're not gonna do anything about that. Oh. I have
- 24:06Speaker 1: talked to the cooks about seasoning on the food, couple
- 24:11Speaker 1: of them, but we have a four of them that
- 24:14Speaker 1: works at White hotels, and they brings different practices to
- 24:18Speaker 1: our bank. When I'm told him, quit running everything on
- 24:22Speaker 1: the hot water, setting it on the plate. So I
- 24:25Speaker 1: ain't mad a sister Blaylock. Maybe next year or deal
- 24:29Speaker 1: had most season. Go ahead, all right, we're gonna ride along.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Basking and Robbins will be dropping the ice cream chicken
- 24:38Speaker 1: chicken flavored sandwich on Thursday. They are expecting thousands to
- 24:44Speaker 1: show up. Not a complaint of is that Sister Moselle rivers.
- 24:47Speaker 1: She claims that she high it's her restless recipe, but
- 24:51Speaker 1: it was stolen by sister Barbara Hayes, who manages Basking Robbings.
- 24:56Speaker 1: She won't say. She don't want us to march. She
- 24:58Speaker 1: won't us to go up there and come thirsty. We're
- 25:03Speaker 1: not having We're not involved in this chicken fight. You
- 25:07Speaker 1: can't say that you got the recipe that flavors ice
- 25:12Speaker 1: cream as that of chicken. That will not be able
- 25:17Speaker 1: to say. And it's gonna be a low seller. I'm
- 25:20Speaker 1: gonna just tell you that what you're trying to do
- 25:23Speaker 1: is do what Popeyes then did, and it ain't fitting
- 25:26Speaker 1: to pop off like that ice cream chicken sandwich. Not
- 25:29Speaker 1: gonna say't don't nobody want that? I can't whatever. We
- 25:35Speaker 1: don't mind cold chicken, but we don't want ice cold
- 25:40Speaker 1: chicken with ice cream. Old chocolate breeze hot the air.
- 25:48Speaker 1: That was awful, all right, cold chicken with ice cream,
- 25:54Speaker 1: old chocolate break huh right, yeah, h listen past the
- 26:06Speaker 1: the shouting helmets and shoulder pads a ride this past week.
- 26:11Speaker 1: It's your call on who you want to give them to.
- 26:13Speaker 1: We only have two sets. We have two helmets and
- 26:15Speaker 1: two shoulder pads. Who do you want to give them
- 26:17Speaker 1: to in the sanctuary that shouts too much? That's up
- 26:20Speaker 1: to you. Well, no, we're not gonna give them to
- 26:24Speaker 1: the shouters. We're gonna give them to the victims of
- 26:28Speaker 1: the shouters or skinny ass or pearling or she gets
- 26:35Speaker 1: run over every or Sunday by big ass sister Joscelyn.
- 26:40Speaker 1: We need hundred pads and helmets, and we need that skinny,
- 26:44Speaker 1: that new skinny deacon or brother Shivers. I was always
- 26:49Speaker 1: trying to stop the shouters and he gets his ass
- 26:52Speaker 1: knocked out every week. So there's just too helmets that
- 26:56Speaker 1: we want. All right, here's a situation we got going out.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Sister Keiva Deatro Phillips. Sister Kiva Deatro phillis, as you know,
- 27:13Speaker 1: she has two kids. Her youngest, Jacobe Phillips, is three
- 27:17Speaker 1: years old. The boy already has a head full of
- 27:20Speaker 1: gray hair and a full bed. She's asking him for
- 27:24Speaker 1: the church to pay for the doctor visits. But now
- 27:27Speaker 1: take this out pass Sister Dotty Little shaved the boy
- 27:31Speaker 1: down and told him mama that we wasn't paying for that,
- 27:33Speaker 1: and she just got a grown ass baby, that's what
- 27:35Speaker 1: she told, so stupid. Now you can't get shaved. Nobody's
- 27:44Speaker 1: chi down past it like that. That's not right. She's
- 27:47Speaker 1: already done it. No, Deacon, it's done. What what what
- 27:53Speaker 1: do you want to do? And who did you say?
- 27:55Speaker 1: Shaved the boy? Sister Dotty Little? No, we've all seen
- 28:01Speaker 1: sister Dotty do anybody won't that ass? Let church say?
- 28:12Speaker 1: Man the boy? Anybody I hear? The series one passed
- 28:19Speaker 1: Sister Robin Crawford. Sister Robin Crawford, who I wrote the book,
- 28:24Speaker 1: had written another book called I'm Telling Everybody's Secrets, and uh,
- 28:31Speaker 1: he says, she knows what timey On Martin used to work.
- 28:34Speaker 1: She gonna tell that. She also said, uh, you know
- 28:37Speaker 1: who drank the last the kool aid? And she knows
- 28:41Speaker 1: what really happened to justice smo that the night of Chicago.
- 28:44Speaker 1: She's telling all the secrets pass. The church wants to
- 28:47Speaker 1: actually make a petition to stop her to doing this book. Lawson, Lawson,
- 28:53Speaker 1: We're not gonna do that. We're gonna we're gonna suppose
- 28:58Speaker 1: this project and that the truth come out because I show,
- 29:04Speaker 1: you know, the hell having to Jet say that night,
- 29:09Speaker 1: I want to know the truth start to trying to
- 29:11Speaker 1: heal them Nigerians. M I want to know from Jesse
- 29:19Speaker 1: how he was walking at two thirds in the morning
- 29:23Speaker 1: in Chicago, ice cold to buy damn sandwich and manage
- 29:28Speaker 1: to get back home with the sandwich after getting show.
- 29:33Speaker 1: What's you put the news round my neck? I'm not
- 29:36Speaker 1: I don't even have an appetite right faster. So we
- 29:41Speaker 1: need this book to come on out so we would
- 29:44Speaker 1: find out about to ed all these your things coming
- 29:47Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour entertainment and national
- 29:50Speaker 1: news right after this. You're listening string show and y'all
- 30:12Speaker 1: listen asked, promise listen up. Everybody asked, promise joining us now.
- 30:18Speaker 1: It's the star of ESPs. First take and to starve
- 30:23Speaker 1: to Stephen A. Smith shown ESPN Radio. He's been I'm
- 30:28Speaker 1: in Ghana, he's been fired up. I've been hearing about it,
- 30:32Speaker 1: about Colin Kaepernick, about the Miles gard my Cleveland boss,
- 30:36Speaker 1: what's going on? I had to find up, ladies and gentlemen,
- 30:41Speaker 1: one of the brightest stars, most highly sought after, most
- 30:46Speaker 1: compelling voice in all of sports commentary in the world
- 30:52Speaker 1: to date, My friend, my frat, my homie, stephen A
- 31:01Speaker 1: smith Man. What's going on, y'all? What's going on, y'all?
- 31:08Speaker 1: I want to hear this. Stephen A. Let me first,
- 31:12Speaker 1: let me just let me just ask about this Colin
- 31:17Speaker 1: Kaepernick situation. Explain to me what is going on? Did
- 31:23Speaker 1: I hear it right from over here across the water?
- 31:27Speaker 1: What was the T shirt that had on? Did what
- 31:31Speaker 1: the heil? What happened? Is Kaepernick doing to bring it?
- 31:37Speaker 1: To bring it, to bring it home? This is my
- 31:40Speaker 1: personal opinion. Oh, it was all smoking mirrors. It was
- 31:44Speaker 1: all a pr stunt by Colin Kaepernick. No matter what
- 31:47Speaker 1: he says, he don't want a job in the NFL.
- 31:50Speaker 1: You talk, I'm thoroughly convinced. I'm thoroughly is just my opinion.
- 31:55Speaker 1: I'm thoroughly convinced he doesn't want a job in the NFL.
- 31:58Speaker 1: That's my opinion. Let me give you the facts. Jay
- 32:03Speaker 1: Z reaches an agreement to partner with the National Football League.
- 32:10Speaker 1: We know the heat that he took from that based
- 32:13Speaker 1: on the press conference that he had with Roger Didell
- 32:15Speaker 1: months ago. Since that time, from what I was told, quietly,
- 32:20Speaker 1: he's been about the business of marching on and making
- 32:23Speaker 1: sure that Colin Kaepernick had the opportunity to return to
- 32:27Speaker 1: the NFL. He ran in, according to what I've heard,
- 32:32Speaker 1: to a few road blocks in terms of NFL owners
- 32:34Speaker 1: who wanted. Their mentality was, we've made over ten billion
- 32:38Speaker 1: dollars in the last year. Ratings and revenue are back
- 32:43Speaker 1: where we expected, if not better. And on top of it,
- 32:47Speaker 1: all four of the league NDB Kennedy to the National
- 32:51Speaker 1: Football League all happened to be black quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes,
- 32:55Speaker 1: DeShawn Watson, Lamar Jackson, and of course Russell Wilson is
- 33:00Speaker 1: out of Seahawks. Not to mention the fact that Russell
- 33:02Speaker 1: Wilson is the highest paid quarterback, is the highest paid
- 33:08Speaker 1: person in the National Football League. So ultimately, Jay Z
- 33:13Speaker 1: and Rock Nation and those boys with the Monta, look,
- 33:15Speaker 1: this is a priority. They get Roger Goodell to jump
- 33:20Speaker 1: on board the league. Teams teams in the league were
- 33:24Speaker 1: looking for cover because their fear wasn't that Colin Kaepernick
- 33:28Speaker 1: wouldn't be able to play. They knew he would be
- 33:30Speaker 1: able to play, but the interview was going to be everything.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Let what level of interest did he still have in
- 33:38Speaker 1: playing football, How good was he going to be, et cetera,
- 33:41Speaker 1: et cetera. They wanted to ask him questions. Okay, So
- 33:45Speaker 1: they wanted to use the NFL as cover because if
- 33:47Speaker 1: the end if the individual teams brought him in their
- 33:51Speaker 1: fear was, if they didn't pick him and bring him
- 33:53Speaker 1: on board, he could say anything about them. He could
- 33:55Speaker 1: say that the process was, the process was unfair. He
- 33:58Speaker 1: could castigate them, he could he could accuse them of
- 34:01Speaker 1: various things. And individual teams were reluctant to place themselves
- 34:04Speaker 1: in that kind of position where they were vulnerable at
- 34:07Speaker 1: that level of heat. So the NFL. NFL obliged them
- 34:12Speaker 1: and said, Okay, for the first time in our history,
- 34:15Speaker 1: we will conduct a workout. We will organize the workout itself.
- 34:21Speaker 1: They spent about five or six days negotiating with the
- 34:24Speaker 1: Atlanta Falcons all right to use their facilities, their personnel,
- 34:30Speaker 1: video cameras, and everything else in between. State of the
- 34:33Speaker 1: art equipment, all of this other stuff. They said, Tyler
- 34:36Speaker 1: Catholics on social media talk about he ready to go
- 34:39Speaker 1: right now. So we notified them Tuesday at ten thirties
- 34:43Speaker 1: is the NFL. We notified them at Tuesday, all right,
- 34:45Speaker 1: at ten thirty in the morning, we said, Hey, this
- 34:47Speaker 1: is what we're gonna do Saturday at Flowery Branch the
- 34:51Speaker 1: Atlanta Falcons practice facility, about an hour outside of the
- 34:56Speaker 1: city of Atlanta. We're going to organize this workout. Thing
- 35:00Speaker 1: you heard was about, oh is this reel? How many
- 35:03Speaker 1: teams are really gonna show off? Et cetera, et cetera. Well,
- 35:05Speaker 1: then yesterday, sorry, Saturday comes and what transpired Saturday? Twenty
- 35:12Speaker 1: five different teams showed up to watch Colin Kapin. It's
- 35:16Speaker 1: worked out. Most of them were brothers. A few of
- 35:21Speaker 1: them are in the general manager's pipeline, meaning that they
- 35:25Speaker 1: may be next in line to be general managers. These
- 35:28Speaker 1: are significant people. Hey, Steven A hold on one second, man,
- 35:32Speaker 1: hold on, hold on right there, Hey listen, Jim, we
- 35:34Speaker 1: gotta take a break. But when we come back, we
- 35:36Speaker 1: got more with Stephen A. Smith. You're listening, all right,
- 35:57Speaker 1: We're back. Everybody on our specially your guests. This morning
- 36:01Speaker 1: is the legend Stephen A. Smith, and we're discussing the
- 36:05Speaker 1: Colin Kaepernick situation. They all showed up to watch a
- 36:11Speaker 1: live workout with Colin Kaepernick scheduled for three o'clock Saturday afternoon.
- 36:16Speaker 1: What does Colin Kaepernick do Saturday? At two thirty a
- 36:24Speaker 1: half out? Work? Before the workout, Colin Kaepernick lets them
- 36:29Speaker 1: know he will not be showing up to their facilities
- 36:32Speaker 1: to workout. Instead, he's going to show up to a
- 36:37Speaker 1: high school field fifty one miles away near Atlanta Airport
- 36:43Speaker 1: to do the workout with his stud about with his
- 36:47Speaker 1: own people. Now, he's trying to sit up there and
- 36:50Speaker 1: say a couple of things. Number One, he wanted his
- 36:52Speaker 1: own receivers. Well, the NFL capitulated to that. They said, okay,
- 36:57Speaker 1: you can have your own receivers running routes, catching your passes.
- 37:01Speaker 1: All of a sudden, he wanted the waiver. The liability
- 37:05Speaker 1: waiver was an issue because essentially the NFL waivers stipulate that,
- 37:09Speaker 1: excuse me, just because we're giving you a tryout doesn't
- 37:13Speaker 1: mean that we have to hire you, okay, Because what
- 37:16Speaker 1: they didn't want to do, which positioned themselves for a
- 37:19Speaker 1: worker's compensation claim. Also, we don't want to be in
- 37:24Speaker 1: a position where you believe you have the right to
- 37:26Speaker 1: sue us just because this workout doesn't materialize something which
- 37:30Speaker 1: is a standard waiver give us to every unrestricted free agent.
- 37:34Speaker 1: So all of a sudden there was pushed back from that,
- 37:37Speaker 1: and then last but not leave, they were trying his lawyers,
- 37:40Speaker 1: Jeff Nalionel's god, we're trying to say that videoing it
- 37:45Speaker 1: was a deal breaker because they didn't want the NFL
- 37:48Speaker 1: videoing the workout. They wanted to be able to do
- 37:52Speaker 1: it themselves with their cell phones or their cameras, as
- 37:55Speaker 1: opposed to the state of the ARTI equipment that the
- 37:58Speaker 1: NFL has in the Atlanta Falcons, where you got cameras
- 38:01Speaker 1: on gold boasts and polls for crying out Like okay, okay,
- 38:10Speaker 1: stephen A, stephen A, why okay, y'all hold on. We'll
- 38:15Speaker 1: be right back with more stephen A. Right after this.
- 38:17Speaker 1: We got to hear the rest of this. You're listening
- 38:20Speaker 1: to show, all right, we're back everybody on our special
- 38:42Speaker 1: guests this morning is the legend stephen A. Smith, and
- 38:45Speaker 1: we're discussing the Colin Kaepernick situation. So so, so, what
- 38:51Speaker 1: does the NFL said, excuse me that? No, not only
- 38:57Speaker 1: did we promise you we're going to send I take
- 39:01Speaker 1: to all thirty two teams in the league, but we
- 39:05Speaker 1: promised to hand you the raw footage of the workout,
- 39:11Speaker 1: plus twenty five different teams are in attendance to watch
- 39:15Speaker 1: you raw. What's the problem? College Kaefernick and those in
- 39:20Speaker 1: his camp use that as an excuse to back out.
- 39:24Speaker 1: And last of not least, not only did he go
- 39:26Speaker 1: to the workout fifty one miles away, not only did
- 39:29Speaker 1: he notify them not up until a half hour before
- 39:32Speaker 1: his workout was to begin, pushing it back to four o'clock,
- 39:36Speaker 1: knowing good and damn well what Atlanta traffic is like
- 39:39Speaker 1: on our Saturday afternoon, trying to get fifty one miles away,
- 39:43Speaker 1: but on top of it all, but on top of
- 39:45Speaker 1: it all, once he gets there, all those fans that
- 39:49Speaker 1: you saw there, okay, we're wearing Capernick T shirts, I'm
- 39:54Speaker 1: with calfs or shirts that said I know my right.
- 39:59Speaker 1: There was security there and his own now, and there
- 40:03Speaker 1: was a security his own security there, and there was
- 40:06Speaker 1: personnel there, So clearly it wasn't a last minute thing
- 40:09Speaker 1: because you have to organize it. And remember that the
- 40:13Speaker 1: high school, as a public high school, you can't just
- 40:16Speaker 1: use their field without their permission. You have to call superintendent,
- 40:21Speaker 1: you have to call a public school officials to get
- 40:24Speaker 1: permission to do all of that, which means that he
- 40:27Speaker 1: knew what he was going to do, he had planned
- 40:29Speaker 1: to do it, but didn't notify the nask the Football
- 40:32Speaker 1: League's at half hour before his workout was scheduled an
- 40:36Speaker 1: hour away in Flowery Beds, Georgia. That's the story. Okay, Stephen,
- 40:41Speaker 1: here's my question to you. Why would he move the facility,
- 40:46Speaker 1: in your opinion, from the designated spot set up by
- 40:49Speaker 1: the NFL and not give them but a half hour note.
- 40:53Speaker 1: The easy answer is that clearly there's a extreme level
- 40:59Speaker 1: of trust that even one would say is somewhat justifiable.
- 41:04Speaker 1: He doesn't trust the NFL after all that he's been through,
- 41:07Speaker 1: et cetera, et cetera. But you didn't trust the NFL
- 41:11Speaker 1: when you were posting those workouts on social media. You
- 41:14Speaker 1: didn't trust the work You didn't trust the NFL when
- 41:16Speaker 1: you said that you're ready to play right now. You
- 41:19Speaker 1: don't trust the NFL. Now when you're saying, all thirty
- 41:22Speaker 1: two teams are free to call me for a workout.
- 41:24Speaker 1: So my position is its apploy. Colin Kapepnett led us
- 41:29Speaker 1: to believe that he really, really really wants to play
- 41:33Speaker 1: in the NFL. Now, one or two things are reality Eiven,
- 41:36Speaker 1: he's full of it and he doesn't want to play
- 41:39Speaker 1: in the NFL, or he's delusional because he thinks that
- 41:44Speaker 1: he gets to do what he wants to do, when
- 41:46Speaker 1: he wants to do, while he wants how he wants
- 41:48Speaker 1: to do it while having his hands out for somebody
- 41:51Speaker 1: else's products in dollars? Which one you want to go with? All?
- 41:57Speaker 1: I need all three of those. I think all of
- 42:00Speaker 1: those that you went with, because I was trying to
- 42:03Speaker 1: understand the counter can take T shirt standing have any
- 42:12Speaker 1: of the rights and options that you just describe that
- 42:17Speaker 1: brother Colin Kaepernick has no no, no, no, no no,
- 42:23Speaker 1: here's what you're missing. That was his way. One could
- 42:27Speaker 1: easily surmise of highlighting the fact that, similar to Coulter can'take,
- 42:35Speaker 1: he is a laborer, a slavehand, being persecuted by the
- 42:41Speaker 1: big bad NFL owners once again. Once again, what I
- 42:47Speaker 1: would say is this, then why do you want to play? Um,
- 42:53Speaker 1: there is something called the Canadian Football League. I've been
- 42:57Speaker 1: in Toronto's a beautiful city, haven't y'all. I've heard I've
- 43:01Speaker 1: heard Montreal, Yes, I hand it's a beautiful city as well.
- 43:06Speaker 1: There's a plethora of places that you can go that
- 43:08Speaker 1: are right near the United States. They have a football league.
- 43:11Speaker 1: What's the problem? But you keep saying that you want
- 43:14Speaker 1: to play in the National Football League while highlighting during
- 43:18Speaker 1: a job interview that the people that you're going to
- 43:21Speaker 1: be waiting for working for a racist in your heart,
- 43:25Speaker 1: that's what you're saying. All right, Hey, hang on, hang on,
- 43:27Speaker 1: hang on right there, stop right there, Steven, We'll be
- 43:29Speaker 1: right back, y'all. Don't go away. We're coming back with
- 43:31Speaker 1: the rest of it. You're listening, all right, We're back,
- 43:52Speaker 1: Stephen A. Smith. The legend is here and we're talking
- 43:55Speaker 1: about Colin Kaepernick and lord are we talking about in campany? Oh?
- 44:01Speaker 1: By the way, can I ask may I switch gears
- 44:05Speaker 1: and ask you all a question? Yes? Okay, okay? Do
- 44:08Speaker 1: you know Steve Hark y'all? Do you know of anybody
- 44:14Speaker 1: whose father a grievance against an employer settled and then
- 44:20Speaker 1: expected a job for them. I'm saying, Steve Harvey and
- 44:25Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Team, are you all aware of
- 44:29Speaker 1: anybody who has filed a grievance against an employer, settled
- 44:35Speaker 1: for millions, went back from that employer, and then expected
- 44:40Speaker 1: to have a job. Help no one. I am asking
- 44:50Speaker 1: for the help of the Steve Harvey Morning because maybe
- 44:55Speaker 1: maybe maybe you ain't miss maybe i' we can't help you.
- 45:03Speaker 1: You ain't miss nothing we can help you. We don't
- 45:08Speaker 1: know nobody that's had this second chance on such a scale,
- 45:15Speaker 1: over such an issue of such magnitude, following any dramatic
- 45:20Speaker 1: thing of sports. Well, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Ali had a
- 45:26Speaker 1: valid cause, that's right. But remember he was an individual.
- 45:31Speaker 1: It was an individualized sport per se. And even though
- 45:35Speaker 1: he was participating in the sport, remember his beef was
- 45:39Speaker 1: that I'm not entering the Armed services because you know,
- 45:44Speaker 1: Noia Khan ever called me the N word and all
- 45:47Speaker 1: of that stuff, Okay, and the government stepped in and
- 45:50Speaker 1: banned him from the fort. The spot didn't by Muhammad Ali.
- 45:54Speaker 1: The government banned in, So so let's be clear about that.
- 45:58Speaker 1: But the other thing that I want to get to
- 45:59Speaker 1: is this. I would ask to Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 46:01Speaker 1: to be careful because we all smiling and we all
- 46:05Speaker 1: laughing at how ridiculous this is. Did you know that
- 46:08Speaker 1: because of that to up to some within our own community,
- 46:12Speaker 1: we sell out, we coons and all of that other stuff.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Did you know that? Did you know that? That's what
- 46:16Speaker 1: they're calling us as we speak, because we have the temerity,
- 46:20Speaker 1: the unmitigated goal to highlight and point out reality. This
- 46:25Speaker 1: is what I want to say for the Steve Harvey
- 46:26Speaker 1: Morning Show. Everybody and their mother knows Colin Kaepernick has
- 46:31Speaker 1: been treated unfairly. Colin Kaepernick has been blackballed. We get
- 46:35Speaker 1: all of that. What has happened to him was egregiousness.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Should have never happened. Let's make sure we are all
- 46:44Speaker 1: clear about that. What we're talking about is what we're
- 46:47Speaker 1: talking about it. But it happened, and the aftermath of
- 46:51Speaker 1: it happening, you collected over forty million dollars as a players.
- 46:55Speaker 1: You won millions of dollars with a settlement. Let's highlight
- 46:59Speaker 1: that settlement. For second, he never told us what he
- 47:02Speaker 1: stood for. We to this don't know he was you
- 47:06Speaker 1: stipulated with that settle that was signed with an NBA.
- 47:15Speaker 1: That's right. I could speak of the terms of the settlement.
- 47:21Speaker 1: That's a part of the settlement. All I'm saying to
- 47:24Speaker 1: you is he to this day has not talked. He
- 47:27Speaker 1: didn't now mind, Just the same guy that wanted the
- 47:29Speaker 1: media in attendance, right, he wanted transparency. Right. Then he
- 47:33Speaker 1: did his workout. Then after that he turned around and
- 47:36Speaker 1: he gave some I have a dream speech to the folks,
- 47:40Speaker 1: and then after that he didn't take And then after
- 47:42Speaker 1: that he didn't take any questions. He didn't take any questions.
- 47:46Speaker 1: So no, he didn't. He taught, he gave his statement,
- 47:50Speaker 1: his speech, and then after that he walked away, okay,
- 47:53Speaker 1: taking bitches with the superintendent and some other fices. Let
- 47:57Speaker 1: me give you an example. Not just knew he was
- 48:00Speaker 1: and still with this workout. Eight teams showed up. Two
- 48:04Speaker 1: probably less early because it was only six nitty end
- 48:07Speaker 1: of his workout, probably because they had a flight to
- 48:09Speaker 1: catch and they were right by the airport. And it
- 48:11Speaker 1: also after that the head of the Fritz Poll of
- 48:14Speaker 1: the Lions, which exists specifically to address diversity issues at
- 48:21Speaker 1: it as it pertains to the National Football League, the
- 48:23Speaker 1: executive director Rod Graves of the Fritz Poller The Lion
- 48:26Speaker 1: was in attendance for that workout in Flowery Branch as well.
- 48:29Speaker 1: That Colin Kaepernick refused to show up to the Atlanta
- 48:33Speaker 1: Falcon was the number one teams interested in Colin Kaepernick.
- 48:39Speaker 1: They're the ones that put the event together. They hosted
- 48:44Speaker 1: the event in Flowery Branch. They had to. Okay, Stephen,
- 48:53Speaker 1: here's the question. Twenty five teams came to Atlanta, and
- 48:57Speaker 1: you saying only eight came out to the high school.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Feel that's right. I mean, I understand that. I do
- 49:07Speaker 1: understand that. I do really do understand that. I mean,
- 49:11Speaker 1: you know, this is tough, you know, and and and
- 49:13Speaker 1: it's sad what you're saying. It is sad of these
- 49:17Speaker 1: opinions that we all seem to share and understand. I
- 49:21Speaker 1: think the older you get and the longer you've been
- 49:24Speaker 1: out here in this game of life, you understand the
- 49:27Speaker 1: complexity of it a bit more, and I think you
- 49:30Speaker 1: can go, Okay, wait a minute, hold up, that don't
- 49:33Speaker 1: make no sense as opposed to some I'm only saying
- 49:37Speaker 1: some younger people who just want to be able to
- 49:41Speaker 1: say and do what they want to say. And not
- 49:43Speaker 1: realize it that that's not the way life is set up, understand,
- 49:48Speaker 1: And that was my argument with his friend Eric Reid,
- 49:52Speaker 1: who got smoked by the Atlanta Falcons yesterday in Carolina.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Now this God, Now this guy is the first one
- 50:01Speaker 1: he's called out. Now, this is a guy that challenged
- 50:04Speaker 1: it was upset that Malcolm Jenkins in a player's coalition.
- 50:07Speaker 1: He accused them of co opting the movement that Colin
- 50:11Speaker 1: Kaepernick started. So what does he do last year? He
- 50:14Speaker 1: confronts Malcolm Jenkins on the football field during the Corn Tours,
- 50:20Speaker 1: during the Coin Tours before the Eagles played the Carolina Panthers.
- 50:23Speaker 1: That this is a guy that called Jay Z and
- 50:26Speaker 1: his actions apartment with the NFL despicable. This is the
- 50:30Speaker 1: guy that has attacked me and disrespected me on social
- 50:35Speaker 1: media over the weekend before I had to check his behind.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Here's the reality of the situation. You are a guy,
- 50:42Speaker 1: and Eric Freed, you're twenty seven years old, and if
- 50:45Speaker 1: everybody doesn't mark exactly lockstep in unison with you, their
- 50:50Speaker 1: blackness is to be questioned. You who plays in the
- 50:54Speaker 1: NFL collects a chet from the NFL while calling them
- 50:58Speaker 1: a practice, You who shows up to Colin Kaepernick's workout
- 51:02Speaker 1: yesterday but had to leave early to get back to
- 51:05Speaker 1: Carolina to get your butt with by the Atlantic. Bout
- 51:08Speaker 1: you who plays in the NFL, the NFL, You who
- 51:14Speaker 1: plays in the NFL, and we all appreciate your efforts
- 51:18Speaker 1: and the fact that you took a need for racial oppression,
- 51:21Speaker 1: police brutality more racial and impression and police brutality didn't
- 51:25Speaker 1: have anything to do with the National Football League. So
- 51:29Speaker 1: you were not protesting the National Football League until they said,
- 51:33Speaker 1: Colin Kaepernick, you cost enough money. We got a problem
- 51:36Speaker 1: with you. All of us have stood up in support
- 51:39Speaker 1: of Colin Kaefernick and what he and others who think
- 51:42Speaker 1: like him. What have you believed? Because we got a
- 51:45Speaker 1: problem with how Colin Kaepernick has gone about handling things.
- 51:50Speaker 1: That's that time you're trying to give the impressions that
- 51:52Speaker 1: we're against him when we were supporting him all the law.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Who the hell is he and who the hell is
- 51:59Speaker 1: anybody black him? To think that they can come at
- 52:03Speaker 1: us questioning blackness. By the way, in with his blode
- 52:06Speaker 1: here and it's dread. You got to be kidding me.
- 52:10Speaker 1: You're better go complace with blood Oh no, you didn't
- 52:15Speaker 1: do the blonde blodes have more fun? You didn't go
- 52:18Speaker 1: that route? Did you have have more fun? I thought
- 52:23Speaker 1: that was female. I thought that. I didn't know that
- 52:25Speaker 1: was a reserved for the brothers and all. By the way,
- 52:28Speaker 1: I'm talking to y'all now, I appreciate this phone call
- 52:32Speaker 1: because I'm just getting warmed up. I'm about to go
- 52:34Speaker 1: on first take it and agam you think I'm bad
- 52:37Speaker 1: now till I get the hell on the head at
- 52:39Speaker 1: this point on your microphone. Ladies and gentlemen, put your
- 52:44Speaker 1: hands together for that. Damn man, Stephen A smell. Thank y'all. Man,
- 52:53Speaker 1: oh man, you're listening time now for today's Strawberry Letter,

- 53:24Speaker 1: and more. Please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey
- 53:28Speaker 1: FM and click submit Strawberry Letter. All right, we could
- 53:32Speaker 1: be reading your letter live on the air, just like
- 53:34Speaker 1: we're gonna read this one right here, right now. Buckle up,
- 53:38Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for you here. It
- 53:41Speaker 1: is a Strawberry Letter. Subject I got more than her measurements.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Dear Stephen, Shirley, I'm in my late fifties and I'm
- 53:48Speaker 1: still a bachelor. I don't have a problem meeting beautiful women,
- 53:52Speaker 1: and I don't have a problem getting the cookie. I
- 53:54Speaker 1: own a carpet business, so I'm the person that goes
- 53:58Speaker 1: to the customer's home to do the initial meeting and
- 54:00Speaker 1: get measurements. Three months ago, I went to a customer's
- 54:04Speaker 1: house and she was gorgeous, had a very nice house,
- 54:08Speaker 1: and she has her own real estate business. To make
- 54:11Speaker 1: a long story short, we had sex the same day
- 54:15Speaker 1: I met her, and we've been together almost every day
- 54:18Speaker 1: since then. She thinks we're dating, and I don't mind
- 54:21Speaker 1: because she started referring her homeowners to me for carpet
- 54:24Speaker 1: and other flooring needs, so she has been great for
- 54:27Speaker 1: my business. I still had a few women on the
- 54:30Speaker 1: side that I kick it with, but I was careful
- 54:33Speaker 1: not to mess up things with my main woman because
- 54:36Speaker 1: I didn't want her to stop sending business my way. Well,
- 54:40Speaker 1: I wasn't too careful because I ended up messing things up.
- 54:45Speaker 1: One crazy night, I had to go see a new
- 54:47Speaker 1: customer and when I got to her house, I was
- 54:50Speaker 1: instantly attracted to her and vice person. She invited me
- 54:54Speaker 1: over for dinner the next night, and after we ate,
- 54:57Speaker 1: we had sex on her couch. I was getting dressed
- 55:00Speaker 1: and I saw a picture of her and my main
- 55:02Speaker 1: woman on the side table. I asked, who's that? She said, Oh,
- 55:07Speaker 1: that's me and my very best girlfriend. I almost passed out,
- 55:12Speaker 1: but I played it off and I left. I have
- 55:15Speaker 1: avoided this lady since then, and I am so worried
- 55:19Speaker 1: that she's going to tell my main woman about what
- 55:21Speaker 1: went down since they are best friends. It was stupid
- 55:25Speaker 1: of me to not ask her who referred her to
- 55:28Speaker 1: me before we had sex. Now I've messed up big time. Steve?
- 55:32Speaker 1: Should I tell my girlfriend what happened and swear it'll
- 55:35Speaker 1: never happen again? What if this is all a setup?
- 55:38Speaker 1: How can I fix it? Please advise there's no fixing this.
- 55:42Speaker 1: There's no fixing this. And yeah, I say this is
- 55:45Speaker 1: from me. Steve is going to tell you something different.
- 55:47Speaker 1: Go ahead, tell your girlfriend and swear it won't ever
- 55:51Speaker 1: happen again. Yeah, go ahead and do that. You know, Steve,
- 55:55Speaker 1: how you say that you don't care anything about this letter?
- 55:58Speaker 1: You know? Sometimes you say that, well, uh, this is
- 56:02Speaker 1: a letter for me, Okay, this is that one for me?
- 56:05Speaker 1: I do not care to the letter. To the writer
- 56:08Speaker 1: of this letter, you, sir, are getting just what you deserve.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I have no sympathy for you. You're taking advantage of
- 56:15Speaker 1: these women. You're taking advantage of this situation everything. Yeah,
- 56:19Speaker 1: they're having sex with you the first night. I'm not
- 56:22Speaker 1: excusing them with that at all. But you're with this
- 56:27Speaker 1: woman that you call your main woman. This is how
- 56:29Speaker 1: you treat your main woman by going around having sex
- 56:33Speaker 1: with these other women. You know you can say no,
- 56:35Speaker 1: you can't say no. You're doing these women, or your
- 56:39Speaker 1: main woman as you call her, to selfishly just get
- 56:43Speaker 1: business and just get sex. I mean you're you're trying
- 56:48Speaker 1: to do this to get you know, business for your
- 56:51Speaker 1: or your cleaning company, for your carpet company. That's how
- 56:54Speaker 1: I look at it. The only reason you're concerned that
- 56:56Speaker 1: your latest conquested, the reason you're concerned is because she's
- 57:01Speaker 1: your main woman's best friend. Uh and you might lose business.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Not because you might hurt her, or might because you
- 57:08Speaker 1: really feel something for her, any of that. You know
- 57:11Speaker 1: that a normal man, a good man, would feel. Just
- 57:14Speaker 1: you're just upset because you might lose business. Um, that's crazy,
- 57:18Speaker 1: Not that you might lose a good woman who's looking
- 57:20Speaker 1: out for you and sending business your way, which puts
- 57:24Speaker 1: money in your pocket. You're you're just concerned that you
- 57:28Speaker 1: know that she's not going to send you any more business. So, uh,
- 57:32Speaker 1: that's how I feel about you. How you feel about
- 57:34Speaker 1: these women in the letter. It doesn't it doesn't look
- 57:37Speaker 1: like you care. You just care about the French benefits
- 57:40Speaker 1: you get from your business contacts and your connection. So uh, yeah,
- 57:45Speaker 1: go ahead and tell her, tell her, tell her right now, Steve.
- 57:49Speaker 1: I want him to tell her. I definitely want you
- 57:53Speaker 1: to tell her. Well, okay, well deal. Oh. First of all, um,
- 58:00Speaker 1: this whole letter sums up in the first sentence, I'm
- 58:05Speaker 1: in my late fifties and I'm still a bachelor. Period.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Everything after that statement right there explains that statement right there.
- 58:19Speaker 1: This is how you are in your late fifties and
- 58:23Speaker 1: still a bachelor. And from the top of this letter
- 58:27Speaker 1: to the bottom, you do nothing to gain any sympathy
- 58:33Speaker 1: from anybody. You can't get no real advice from nobody
- 58:38Speaker 1: because you ain't really asking for none. So don I
- 58:42Speaker 1: hate to tell you this man, you don't have no
- 58:46Speaker 1: problem meeting beautiful women, and I don't have a problem
- 58:49Speaker 1: getting a cookie. Okay, I own a copy business. How
- 58:55Speaker 1: ironic this is because I own came and he called
- 59:00Speaker 1: wall to wall carpet cleaning and installation business. So you
- 59:06Speaker 1: know how it is. Oh yeah, oh you being all
- 59:10Speaker 1: kinds of house. I can count the beautiful women's houses.
- 59:15Speaker 1: I've been in on two fancers, but you have ten fingers, Steve.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Everybody else was somebody's grandmama. Obviously I didn't add the
- 59:31Speaker 1: same client. Tell you I won't get into this. And
- 59:34Speaker 1: you went to a customer's house. She was gorgeous, had
- 59:37Speaker 1: a nice house, had on real estate business. Long story short,
- 59:42Speaker 1: we had sex the same day. All right, Hang on, Steve,
- 59:46Speaker 1: hang on with part two. That's that's it right there. Yeah,
- 59:50Speaker 1: coming up, we'll have part two of Steve's respond to
- 59:53Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. When we come back.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Strawberry letters subject for today. I got more than her measurements.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Will get back into it right after this. You have
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: no idea what it is. This is Carlos Miller, and
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: this may or may not be the Steve Harvey Morning Shows.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: come on, let's recap today's strawberry letters. Subject, I got
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: more than her measurements. Um, you're in your late fifties,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: got a carb cleaning installation business, I mean late fifty
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: steal a bachelor. Ain't got a problem meeting beautiful women.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Ain't got a problem getting a cookie. But see something
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: wrong with you because you a bachelor in still a bachelor.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: You said, steal a bachelor in your late fifties, So
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: it's something wrong. Let's clearly know this, because if you
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: were that good of a man, some woman would have
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: got in by now. But you don't want a good
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: woman in right now. You've never wanted a good woman
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: in because you won't women. I mean, let's it be real, dog,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: that's your thing. I ain't knocking it, but I'm just
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: explaining to you yourself. So you went to this customer's house.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: She was gorgeous. You had a nice house, A long
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: story short, she had on real estate business. Y'all had
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: sex the same day. Y'all been together almost every day
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: since then. She thinks we're dating. And I don't mind
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: what dog, if you're with a woman every day. How
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: she don't think y'all date. She thinks we date. No, doc,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: you're dating her, No, Doc, that's what you're doing. If
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: you're with a woman every day, you are giving the impression,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: and not only given the impression, you are committing the
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: act of dating. So the woman ain't delusional. You just
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: said you've been with her every day and you don't
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: mind that because she started referring her homeowners to me
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: for carpet and other flooring needs. So she's been great
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: for my business. Okay, so now you're a user. You
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: do women dirty, you get them on the stream, you're
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: not honest and true with them. You obviously haven't told
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: her about the other women, because I'll show you why
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: you haven't done that later on in the letter. So
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: you put women on the stream so they think you're dating,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: and then you don't mind because it helps your business
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: or you're a piece of work right here, man, I
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: still had a few women on the side that I
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: kick it with, you know, but I've been careful not
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: to mess things up with my main woman. This is
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: your whole problem, though, Corpit cleaning player, So you know
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: you ended u anyway. You said I was careful not
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: to mess things up with him. I didn't want to
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: stop sitting. This is your way well, you messed up
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: because one crazy night I had to go see a
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: new customer. I got to her house, I was instantly
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: attracted her, and vice versa. She invited me over for
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: dinner the next night and we ate and we had
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: sex on her couch. This s your m O, dog,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: This is your mo This is what you do. This
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: ain't nothing new to you. Now. When you got through
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: you getting dressed, you saw a picture of her and
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: your main woman on the side table. Ask her who's that?
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: She said, Oh, that's me and my very best girlfriend.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Almost passed out. I played it off. I left. I've
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: avoided this lady since then, and I'm so weared that
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: she's gonna tell my main woman about what went down.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Since they best friend. It was stupid to me not
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: to ask her, who referred her to me? That ain't
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: never been your problem dog before we had sex. Now
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: I've messed up big time. Steve. Should I tell my
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: girl what happened and swear that never happened again? What
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: if it was all a set up? How can I
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: fix it? Well, if it was a set up, the
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: setup is in and done. You slept with a friend people,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: don't you normally do sex setups like this, have sex
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: with my man? So I do it? Be a dude
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: that ain't really how they't set you up. They set
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: you up by hitting on you. They don't set you
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: up by giving you the actual sex. See you stupid? Yeah,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: you kind of stupid dog? Now how can I fix it?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: First of all, Shirley said you should just tell her
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: because then Shirley know her to be open. I don't
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: take your dumb ass in there and say nothing. Shoe,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: stupid ass gonna go in there and say what you
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: already stupid? How he didn't see that? And let me
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: tell you something, dog, Let me tell you something else.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Don't you always mess it up? Don't you always mess
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: it up? That's why you still single, You in your
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: late fifties sing because you always mess it up. Because
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: you ain't the player you think you are. You got
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: a main woman with some chicks on the side because
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: you keep making them think that your main woman. See,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: don't nobody think they there main woman unless you're giving
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: them the idea. Now, listen to me. They've told on
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: you before. That's why you single. You've been busted many
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: times before because you ain't that good of a player. Dog,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: that's why you keep getting busted, That's why you still single.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: This is your ear mole. You stupid. I'm shamed of
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: you and just degraded all the great carpet cleaning businesses
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: and I'll not be a partner. Post your comments on
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: and don't forget to check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: on demand coming up at forty six after the hour,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Kanye West, we'll talk about it right after this. You're
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yesterday, Kanye West
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: was in Houston. He went on stage at Lakewood Church
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: to talk with Pastor Joel Olstein about his spiritual transformation.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Kim Kardashian and their daughter North were also there sitting
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: in the front row. Kanye and Joel Olstein had quite
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: a chat Sunday at Lakewood Church, and one of the
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: big takeaways was Kanye going to bat for Joel and
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: his reputation in the Christian community. Kanye noted that Pastor
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Joel was responsible for converting thousands upon thousands of people
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: to the right path of Christianity, and for that alone,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: he should be praised instead of criticized. Kanye also discussed
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: his two sixteen mental breakdown, and he went on to
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: say that he was the greatest artist that God has
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: ever created and now he was working for the man
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: upstairs again instead of working for the devil. Kanye also
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: visited the Houston Harris County jails and performed for them
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: and brought inmates to tears. I'm not mad at him.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I think is a greatness what he's trying to accomplish.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: People have to keep in mind. Let's all keep in
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: mind now that this is a new walk for Kanye,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: So in your newness brings a lot more obvious flaws
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: with him because you knew it something. He's not a
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: fully developed Christian, nor am I see. I've been hanging
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: on to my newness title for some years now because
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: I like the newness title because that way it keeps
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: me from getting put up into the advanced Christian category,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: which then puts me under a lot more pressure and scrutiny.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: I think the scrutiny that Kanye is getting is unfair.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: I think that he's a new person that's finding his
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: walk with Christ. And I think the fact that he
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: wants to do this should just be applauded from that point.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: The fact that he's not perfect should be expected. Oh
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: what what do you guys think about? Um, we're gonna
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: change it up. I gotta ask you guys this because
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: this was kind of trending to Carla. Not sure I
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: heard him wanting to say something about it. I think
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: because Tommy, you should let them have their opinion too. No, absolutely,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I'm not upset. I applaud him on this. I just
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: remember his newness of being a Republican too, you know,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: I remember that. So I just have to sit back
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: and watch and watch it on back and forth with
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: the political stuff that you know. I ain't forgot that.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: I ain't forgotten. I ain't forgot slavers, how to charge,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I ain't forgotten none of this. So I'm just looking
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: at the brother. Hopefully he's getting it right. Naturally. That's
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: the first thing you said on some damn sis. It's
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: the medicin. Yeah. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: some trending news. So Trained awards were last night in Vegas.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening. The

- 1:11:56Speaker 1: But think back, think back. What was your favorite performance
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: on soul Train back in the day. Michael Jackson, what
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: you're talking? Come on, that's when that boy move across
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: that stay. What are you doing? That was not on
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: soul Train. He's black? Yeah yeah, yeah, Perker said the wall.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: But are you talking about on the show soul Train. Yes, yes,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: average white band live, Average White band seventies old live,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Average white band live on soul Train. Greatest performance I've
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: ever seen. The drummer was black. Average White band is
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: from Scotland. Black people didn't believe that these are white
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: dudes playing this music, so when they went to soul Train,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: they told them they only do lipsick. The black dude
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: that played the drum said, man, we got to play black.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: We got to play the music live for these black
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: people that ain't gonna believe it's us. They plugged their
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: instruments up and did it live on soul Train. Greatest performance.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I will put it on my website for wow wow nice.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I gotta say when he had the sling on his Yes,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: remember that? Remember that? Remember you remember that? Junior? Yeah,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: that's the greatest real But what about this one though?
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: I read the Franklin when she performed rock? Yeah, absolutely,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: that was good. Maxwell, Why are you brushing off her moments?
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: I don't know how y'all r greatest performance that that's
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: hands down, that's yours and that's good. Yeah. Everybody y'all
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: said was great? Yes, yeah, yeah, what it told me? Say,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: which history was yours? Tommy? Yeah yeah, I knew all
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: the commercials on tin pod. Yeah I knew everything. Yeah, Afroe,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: we was cleaning the house at that time. What you
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: told Oh yeah, every Saturday, You're right, Saturday morning back
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: in the day. Great memories. All right, more of the
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show and some training news coming up
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: at thirty three minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's time
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: for her. Tell me something good segments, some news, Oh
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: miss something, god, well, some good news. Kim Kardashian West
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: visited Texas death Row inmate Rodney Read and she says
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: she was with him when he found out his stay
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: of execution was granted. The highest court in Texas has
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: issued a stay of execution and remanded the case back
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: to the trial court for further consideration. That is great news.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: Kim Kardashian is doing some great work. She is doing
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: some great stuff, man, getting that system out of jail,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: being a part of the prison reform bill. Her Van Jones,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: people like that that. Well, I'm just listening to ones.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: I know it's other people behind the scenes and worked
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: equally hard, if not more, But those two notable people
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: to step down off that platform to do something like that,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: I think again commended, she said. When Rodney got the news,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: he said, praise Jesus, and Kim like you said, yeah,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: she's just one of just a whole bunch of celebrities
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: who have advocated for Rotney Reid, Rihanna, Oprah, Meek Mill, ll,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Beyonce and more. They've all, yeah, they've all shown their support.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: You know what, if Kanye would just stop talking politics,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: his ass could go a lot further. Just we have
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up and
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: some more trending news at thirty three after the hour.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to show being the Traveler
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: that I am, and being as knowledgeable as I've become
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: over the years, that God has given me an opportunity
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: to see some wonderful places around the world. My wife
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: and I and some of my family members, but mostly
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: my wife and I. We've been doing this saying it soul. Now,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: listen to this, everybody. I want to talk to you
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: about the Sating Soul Festival twenty twenty. Huh. I've been
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: putting on this festival. A lot of comedies, some concerts, empowerment,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: relaxation at luxury all inclusive resorts. I'm doing it now
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: for the past three years, and it just keeps getting
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: better and better. Now. We just hosted this last year's
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: event and it was absolutely off the chain. Now, me
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: and Marjorie was out on the dance floor with y'all,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: my girls out there in the pool with Lisa Ray
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: I heard about that that was not playing y'all was
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: clowning out there in that audience on the showtime of
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: Deal Apollo Night. And we just had a lot of fun. Man,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: I mean, man, all some old friends I actually bought
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: down up some catches that I went to college with. Man.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I had a real up man, Man, I just had
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: a good time y'all. So, and what I want y'all
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: to do. Go to my Instagram and my Facebook page,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: and I want you to check out the video that
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: you can see what I'm talking about that I'm releasing
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: from this year's event. But now next year we are
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: all doing all of this, but we are going to
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: add a couple of things due to popular demand. And
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: we listen to our audience. They've been loyal and so
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: they told us what they want. So we've been doing
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: some thinking and we moved in and we shift some
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: stuff around. We're adding all new, sexy, all white, dinner
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: on the beach with live music, and then this year
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: I've added to I've watched my clientele. I said, man,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: you know it would be slick. We love Spades, we
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: love bid whist, we love dominoes. I said, dog goldis
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Steve while we down that clown and when they get nightfall,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: we're gonna have us a Spade bid with in Domino
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: tournament with cash prize. Oh man, We're just gonna sit
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: down and do what we do. Margie's gonna have an
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: exclusive designed items at her beauty Ball. It's about to
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: go down. But now I want to let y'all know something.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: We got the dates and the location already secured for
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: twenty twenty, so you can start planning early. The twenty
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: twenty saying it, Soul Festival's headed to the hard Rock
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: Hotel and Casino in Punta Khana in Poota, Khana, man
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: for the Labor Day holiday September three through the seventh.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: We are going to the luxurious hard Rock Hotel and
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Casino in Puna Kanna. We decided to go back. We've
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: listened to our customers were well aware. Everything has been rectified.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: We've got great reports. Tourism Board is happy about it.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: We are going back, all right. Listen to me, everybody
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: right now. You can call us at one eight one
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: hundred six four twenty five. That's one eight hundred six
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: eight four twenty eight twenty five to listen to this.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: We are running our early bird special right now through
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Christmas all the way through December thirty. First you can
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: secure your spot coming up our last break of the
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: day on this Monday, and of course some closing remarks
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: from the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Steve, here we are our last
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: break of the day on this Monday. And boy, it
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: was a good Monday, Steve. Yeah, it was a lot.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: It was a lot to talk about today, wasn't it.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: He hasn't, Nick Man, I'm very disappointed. Well, when you
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: think he could have had a job, I mean he
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: could have been playing again, Yeah, in the NFL. It
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: it doesn't make any sense what he did. It doesn't
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: make any sense to anybody who's a thinking person. Now,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: if you just want to make points, just to be
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: making points, if you want to be contrie, just to
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: be contrite, if you want to be difficult, and you
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: want to say that I'm doing it my way or
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: the highway, didn't go ahead and do that. But don't
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: say you want to throw a football for a team
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: and then walk away from the twenty five teams that
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: came to see you. That don't make no sense. But
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: you agreed to all of this. All of this was
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: set up in a place. You agreed to all of it.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Then they made the concessions about to not signing the waiver.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: They gave you everything, Bro, I don't know what you want.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: Nothing happened on Saturday that you needed to change your game. Nothing.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: You agreed to all of that, signed up for Tommy Tommy,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: that's how they set it up. Yeah, and then you
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: change your mind. So now instead of twenty five people
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: seeing you, eight people saw you. Okay, you've reduced your
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: chances two thirds. Man, eighty percent of the league came
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: to see eighty dogs Junior. Eighty percent of the league
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: came to see you. You down to thirty percent. Boy,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: even less than that twenty five percent. You moved it
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: to where only twenty five percent. Man, come on stop,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: I'm ready to go. Come on here, Hey, I want
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: to share something with you. I was I'm in Ghana,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: right and somebody sent me a Joel Oldstein's sermon and
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: man on man, he was talking about how God is
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: your source. And this was really really good for me yesterday.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: And it's an older sermon, but I really I watched
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: it on YouTube and it was so powerful what he
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: was saying, man, and it was Augustine, was a really
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: really good reminder to me. And I thought maybe as
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: a closer remark, it might be a reminder to you
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: that he reminded us that God is your source. God
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: is your source of all good things, all great things
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: that happened in your life, all the blessings, all the
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: measures of faith in favor that you get. They come
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: from a place on high. Is your source. Now, people
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: are resources, but they are contracts from God. God sends
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: people into your life as resources to give your promotion,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: to give you some advice when a bank gives you
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: the loan, when they grant you the consent for him,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: when they allow your contract to go through, when you
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: finally make the sale. Those people that He uses to
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: say yes to you, or resources for those people come
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: from the source. The source is always God behind all
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: the resources is the source. So be grateful for the resources,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: but keep your eyes on the source. Keep God first, man.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: God is the source of all things. When the door closes,
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: the source remains the same. God is the source of
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: my life. God is the source of your life as
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: long as you invite him to be the source. Here's
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: your source. But here's your source, whether you invite him
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: or not. God does for you, gives you mercy and favor,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: whether you ask for it or not. But you need
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: to realize that he's the source. How many times has
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: God spoken to a person on your behalf. How many
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: times I can't tell you how many times a person
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: being just good to me I never even met the person. Hey, Steve,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: you know I'm a fan of yours. Man, let me
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: point you in this direction, or hey Steve, let me
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: turn you unit. How many times has God sent a
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: person in your path that was just good to you?
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: You know what that was? That was coming from the source. Man,
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: every good thing's come from God above. Keep recognizing the source.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: Don't ever lose sight of the source. That form of
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: gratitude opens up your eyes of awareness to a multitude
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: of things that God is constantly doing for you. See,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: the source behind the scenes tells people to be good
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: to you. I know people that I was jotting down
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: that are from God, that God has placed in my
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: path for whatever the reason. And it's just Him putting
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: resources in my path so that the blessings that He
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: has for me comes through, sometimes the resources, oftentimes the resources,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: but the resources still come from the source. You cannot
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: lose sight of the source. Show God that you got faith,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: Show him you got faith, keep taking steps and trusting
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: him whole hardly that he is the source. Because Man,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: let me tell you something God has lined up everything
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: you need. He sees everything you're going through. He's ahead
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: of you on this right here. God has already lined
