- 0:12Speaker 1: Don't given them all.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Black a million busy.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Listening to to I don't Joy, Yeah, Joy, you don't use.
- 1:05Speaker 4: You gotta turn.
- 1:27Speaker 5: Well I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I got to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You probably got to turn mouth.
- 1:45Speaker 6: Turn the water the water up.
- 1:49Speaker 7: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 8: Come on, you're think that, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 8: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 8: dig me now? Want it on to Seve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 8: a radio show. Five things that I know successful people
- 2:15Speaker 8: have to do to be successful. The principles are the same.
- 2:19Speaker 8: You can apply it to anything, you know, if you
- 2:22Speaker 8: want to be happily married, you know, whatever it is.
- 2:25Speaker 8: The principles of success are the same. There are a
- 2:28Speaker 8: series of things that you have to do. You cannot
- 2:31Speaker 8: skip the steps of success. If you do, you're going
- 2:34Speaker 8: to have to go back and step on them anyway.
- 2:37Speaker 8: So here's here's here's a part man that I want
- 2:41Speaker 8: you all to understand about me and and and about
- 2:45Speaker 8: how to look at it. You know, you you cannot
- 2:51Speaker 8: underestimate faith and prayer.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You just can't.
- 3:00Speaker 8: You cannot underestimate the power of faith and the power
- 3:06Speaker 8: of prayer. See for me, this is just for me. Now,
- 3:10Speaker 8: this ain't in the scripture nowhere. This is just something
- 3:13Speaker 8: I discovered. What prayer did for me was was it
- 3:17Speaker 8: tied me to my creator. It gave me a sense
- 3:24Speaker 8: and I'm describing it this way, but I'm telling you
- 3:27Speaker 8: it's deeper than this. But it gave me a sense
- 3:30Speaker 8: that I wasn't alone, and at actuality I wasn't. But
- 3:36Speaker 8: prayer helped connect me to the power source that was
- 3:42Speaker 8: available to me to get through, get around, or get
- 3:48Speaker 8: over whatever it was that was in the way, whether
- 3:53Speaker 8: it was just a period I stretched, I had to
- 3:54Speaker 8: go through hard work, It had to period I had
- 3:58Speaker 8: to go through to learn some lessons, some periods I
- 4:02Speaker 8: had to go through from having to pay for some
- 4:04Speaker 8: of the mistakes I've made.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Whatever the case may be, prayer.
- 4:09Speaker 8: Gave me a decided advantage, especially oh here we go,
- 4:17Speaker 8: Especially over my enemies. Now, the majority of people in
- 4:23Speaker 8: my life that were my enemies, I didn't want them
- 4:25Speaker 8: to be my enemies, make no mistake about this. But
- 4:30Speaker 8: through the thing called life, some things went down, Some
- 4:33Speaker 8: things happened from here and then went over here that way,
- 4:36Speaker 8: and a person became my enemy. The majority of enemies
- 4:41Speaker 8: I have came out of nowhere. I have no reason
- 4:45Speaker 8: to even see why they are my enemies. But you know,
- 4:49Speaker 8: life goes on, man. It happens from time to time.
- 4:52Speaker 8: Some people just won't let it go. See some people,
- 4:56Speaker 8: in their quest to do something to you or to
- 5:00Speaker 8: make you pay, they just won't let it go. But
- 5:04Speaker 8: it may cause you some discomforting and some of it
- 5:06Speaker 8: may be lies about you and all of this and
- 5:09Speaker 8: all of that, but that that can't prohibit you from
- 5:12Speaker 8: going forward. So what I'm saying is prayer gave me
- 5:17Speaker 8: the strength, wisdom understanding the carriage to either go through it,
- 5:22Speaker 8: go around it, or go over it. But it happened.
- 5:28Speaker 8: I do not know how I could have made it.
- 5:32Speaker 8: Without faith and without prayer, it would have something would
- 5:37Speaker 8: have got me. YouTube would have got me. The bloggers
- 5:43Speaker 8: would have got me. My partners that I grew up
- 5:48Speaker 8: with that used to laugh behind my back, they would
- 5:51Speaker 8: have got me. My friend that went over my mother's
- 5:55Speaker 8: house one time and told her. You know what Steve's
- 5:58Speaker 8: problem is that telling them jokes.
- 6:00Speaker 1: He just lazy.
- 6:01Speaker 8: He don't want to work that would have got me.
- 6:06Speaker 1: They didn't know.
- 6:08Speaker 8: I ain't really mad at them because they were just
- 6:10Speaker 8: All they was doing was based in their conversations and
- 6:13Speaker 8: passing judgment based on what they knew, based on what
- 6:18Speaker 8: they believed. They didn't believe I was gonna make it.
- 6:22Speaker 8: But that's them though. If it was not for the faith,
- 6:27Speaker 8: which is the belief in things that you cannot see,
- 6:29Speaker 8: I wouldn't have made it because I would have listened
- 6:33Speaker 8: to everybody else who didn't see me getting here and
- 6:37Speaker 8: went along with it.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And then prayer.
- 6:41Speaker 8: Oh my goodness, man, how many times has prayer bailed
- 6:44Speaker 8: me out? Prayer has bailed me out, press still bailing
- 6:49Speaker 8: me out. Tell you the truth, man, quiet as it's
- 6:53Speaker 8: kept prayer, that connection to your heavenly Father, that connection
- 7:01Speaker 8: to your creator, that connection to that source of power
- 7:04Speaker 8: and inspiration, that connection of never feeling that you were alone.
- 7:09Speaker 1: You know.
- 7:09Speaker 8: I was watching the Bishop Jakes on TV yesterday and
- 7:12Speaker 8: it was a repeat, and one of the things he
- 7:16Speaker 8: was talking about, well, let me just get to the
- 7:20Speaker 8: gist of it. I was going through a portion of
- 7:25Speaker 8: my life and I went through it for some years, y'all.
- 7:29Speaker 8: I had gotten myself into a jam that lasted for years.
- 7:34Speaker 8: I'm telling you, for years, with some serious consequences to follow.
- 7:40Speaker 1: For years.
- 7:42Speaker 8: And I was so busy looking at where I was at.
- 7:51Speaker 8: I was sulking sometimes, Man, I'd get on the radio, Man,
- 7:54Speaker 8: I'd be just done. I was sulking.
- 7:58Speaker 9: My my.
- 8:01Speaker 8: Spirit had gotten low. I had gotten tired of the fight,
- 8:06Speaker 8: and I would come on some mornings, man, and I
- 8:09Speaker 8: would try try not to let on, but I was hurting.
- 8:11Speaker 8: I was because I had been in for years. Man,
- 8:13Speaker 8: I had been in this thing for years, and one
- 8:18Speaker 8: thing I was doing. I was so busy looking at
- 8:20Speaker 8: where I was at. And when I was watching Bishop Jakes,
- 8:24Speaker 8: he preached this sermon. He was talking about so busy
- 8:33Speaker 8: looking at.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Where you at that you don't.
- 8:39Speaker 8: Even realize that God has been with you the entire time.
- 8:47Speaker 8: And you know what, Man, just yesterday, just yesterday, I
- 8:50Speaker 8: heard this and I text him. I text Bishop Jakes,
- 8:54Speaker 8: and I thanked him because it was an old message
- 8:57Speaker 8: I could tell. And I called a text him up
- 9:00Speaker 8: and I said, Man, thank you so much. I was
- 9:02Speaker 8: just watching you on TV and you told me, Man,
- 9:05Speaker 8: something that I'll always remember that whatever you're going through,
- 9:10Speaker 8: that He's there with you the whole time. But see
- 9:14Speaker 8: when sometimes when you're so busy looking at where you at,
- 9:16Speaker 8: you don't even notice where he is. And see sometimes, Man,
- 9:20Speaker 8: that helped me, and that's going to help me in
- 9:23Speaker 8: the future to realize that what I'm going through, that
- 9:26Speaker 8: he's there. He's there with me, and he gonna protect me,
- 9:29Speaker 8: and he ain't gonna let my enemies overcome me, and
- 9:32Speaker 8: he ain't gonna let nobody overtake me, and he ain't
- 9:34Speaker 8: gonna let me go on them because he's there. It's
- 9:38Speaker 8: just you can't be so busy looking at where you
- 9:40Speaker 8: at that you don't take notice of where he at.
- 9:42Speaker 8: God is always there, He's always available, and the best
- 9:45Speaker 8: way to tap into that and know it is you
- 9:48Speaker 8: got to pray. Prayer has changed my life. Prayer can
- 9:52Speaker 8: change your life. You can become something if you just pray.
- 9:57Speaker 10: You're listening to The Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 15:06Speaker 9: time here is definitely limited.
- 15:09Speaker 4: You know.

- 15:15Speaker 7: we can help you with. So what can we do
- 15:17Speaker 7: for you?
- 15:18Speaker 9: Well? You know, I truly believe that sometimes people have
- 15:23Speaker 9: you know, I've seen one of the more movies they
- 15:24Speaker 9: got with it got a bucket list or whatever they
- 15:27Speaker 9: call it, you know, people trying to do things before
- 15:29Speaker 9: they leave here. I guess I'm just sitting around trying
- 15:32Speaker 9: to figure out what I could do and what I
- 15:34Speaker 9: wanted to do before I left this world and went
- 15:37Speaker 9: on to what he has for me next. You know,
- 15:41Speaker 9: I don't believe in doing anything.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Unless it's prayed on first.
- 15:45Speaker 9: Oh yeah, if you don't mind, maybe you can. You know,
- 15:50Speaker 9: before I even tell you my wish, we prayed that
- 15:52Speaker 9: the wish would come true. You're not doing anything like that,
- 15:55Speaker 9: Oh no, I don't mind praying.
- 15:57Speaker 7: That's what We're here.
- 15:59Speaker 9: By your head, yes, yes, yes, sir?
- 16:02Speaker 7: Is your head?
- 16:03Speaker 9: By yes, sir, Yes, sir.
- 16:04Speaker 7: It is Father God. We come to you in the
- 16:07Speaker 7: homeless way. We know how Lord, we asked you to
- 16:10Speaker 7: touch this young man and every which way he hurt,
- 16:14Speaker 7: and then we ask you to deliver him for whatever
- 16:17Speaker 7: is going on with him and let him know that
- 16:19Speaker 7: we the church is here to help him with whatever
- 16:22Speaker 7: his needs is in his last days. And Jesus Name,
- 16:26Speaker 7: I pray, say Amen with me.
- 16:28Speaker 9: Amen, Amen, that's.
- 16:31Speaker 7: Gonna do it here. Now you a member of the
- 16:34Speaker 7: church here of New Well.
- 16:36Speaker 9: I was a member. I still consider myself a Remember
- 16:40Speaker 9: it's just been quite some time trying to over a
- 16:42Speaker 9: year and a half, two years since I've been able
- 16:44Speaker 9: to come, you know, through to my illness. But definitely
- 16:49Speaker 9: I will.
- 16:49Speaker 7: Remember that well that's all right. We're not worried about
- 16:52Speaker 7: all that. We just here to take care of your
- 16:55Speaker 7: last and final wits. That's what our ministry is for.
- 16:58Speaker 7: You know. We helped see for with with with anything
- 17:02Speaker 7: they need.
- 17:02Speaker 9: You know, like what what what all of I mean
- 17:04Speaker 9: when when people call and want things? What all of
- 17:07Speaker 9: you you all, what all of y'all helped them with?
- 17:10Speaker 7: Well, we've helped them with the rent, uh, take them
- 17:13Speaker 7: to the store, help them with a utility bill, come
- 17:17Speaker 7: out and cut the grass, anything like that that they
- 17:20Speaker 7: just can't do. Take them to the doctor's apartment. Anything
- 17:24Speaker 7: we'd like to help them with, we do exactly that.
- 17:27Speaker 9: Okay, Well I pretty much got those things taken care of.
- 17:31Speaker 9: I think what I'd like to do between you and myself,
- 17:35Speaker 9: brother saying that I've never told anyone what I'm about
- 17:39Speaker 9: to tell you. I've never been with a with with
- 17:43Speaker 9: a woman to call huh, I'm you know, I'm thirty eight,
- 17:47Speaker 9: but I've never been with a woman.
- 17:50Speaker 7: Well, I guess that might be a blessing. You might
- 17:53Speaker 7: you might be pure. That's a good thing.
- 17:55Speaker 9: Well, you know, but sometimes you know, I guess before
- 17:58Speaker 9: I leave, I guess that's a desire that I have,
- 18:01Speaker 9: and and and uh, what I wanted to ask you
- 18:05Speaker 9: was there is a lady there at the church. Uh
- 18:08Speaker 9: huh and before I leave, I think that's the woman
- 18:13Speaker 9: that I would actually.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Like to to be with.
- 18:16Speaker 7: Well, I don't know if make a wish ministry can
- 18:18Speaker 7: support that kind of stuff, but uh, go ahead, let
- 18:21Speaker 7: me hear.
- 18:22Speaker 9: Okay, the lady that I'm I'm actually interested in actually, uh,
- 18:27Speaker 9: she works at the church too. Oh really, when I
- 18:30Speaker 9: see she's kind of tall when she's about five to nine,
- 18:33Speaker 9: and she's probably about a size eight, a beautiful long
- 18:38Speaker 9: league man and and and and sandy type of hair,
- 18:41Speaker 9: sandy color, sandy brown man. And I mean she looked
- 18:45Speaker 9: like caramel.
- 18:46Speaker 7: Hold on a minute, what's her name?
- 18:48Speaker 4: Uh?
- 18:49Speaker 9: I think her name Linda?
- 18:50Speaker 7: Now hold on, that's my wife. What you mean? Go ahead?
- 18:54Speaker 9: See wait wait wait wait wait wait wait Linda is
- 18:57Speaker 9: your wife?
- 18:58Speaker 7: Yeah, that's my wife. You saw her as what do
- 19:01Speaker 7: you mean?
- 19:02Speaker 9: Listen, y'all are ministry now. Now, if y'all supposed to
- 19:06Speaker 9: be taking care of people, don't make a wish and
- 19:08Speaker 9: taking care of what they want before they leave this world.
- 19:10Speaker 9: If that's my wish, what is the problem listen here.
- 19:13Speaker 7: You didn't cross every line there was about this man,
- 19:16Speaker 7: So I don't give my body no more. You talking
- 19:19Speaker 7: about sleeping with my wife. If I see y, I'm
- 19:22Speaker 7: gonna do something to you. They ain't gonna even be
- 19:23Speaker 7: able to recognize you. So what the you talking about?
- 19:26Speaker 7: Missing with my wife? Son of them?
- 19:28Speaker 9: I'll call missus Linda myself and seeing she don't have
- 19:31Speaker 9: a problem with helping me make my wish come true
- 19:34Speaker 9: right in it.
- 19:34Speaker 7: And calling you won't call nobody else. That'll be the
- 19:38Speaker 7: last call you make.
- 19:40Speaker 9: I thought y'all were here to relieve people and so
- 19:44Speaker 9: they can enjoy themselves before they leave this world.
- 19:47Speaker 7: You talking about sleeping with my wife? Are you crazy?
- 19:50Speaker 9: But if I'm finna leave here, ain't nobody gonna know?
- 19:53Speaker 9: But you want?

- 21:28Speaker 10: Coming up next? Ask the ready love officer. That is
- 21:31Speaker 10: a Riddlo and Junior. Right after this, you're listening to
- 21:35Speaker 10: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, this is
- 21:42Speaker 10: some trending headline news from our home station V one
- 21:45Speaker 10: O three in Chicago, Shy City.
- 21:47Speaker 6: Yes.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Uh.
- 21:49Speaker 10: This weekend, protesters demonstrators march the streets in Chicago to
- 21:54Speaker 10: protest the President Trump's plan to deploy the National Guard.
- 21:59Speaker 10: Oh boy, here we go again. According to NPR, there
- 22:03Speaker 10: was a post on Trump's website with the apocalypse now
- 22:06Speaker 10: style meme with the caption shy shy copolyps. Now, I
- 22:11Speaker 10: love the smell of deportations in the morning. Chicago is
- 22:14Speaker 10: about to find out why it's called the Department of War. Wow, Wow,
- 22:20Speaker 10: how insightful, how insane. Now you just declared war on
- 22:23Speaker 10: individual cities. Now, yeah, this is American citizens.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes.
- 22:29Speaker 10: And the President is now backtracking though and said to reporters, quote,
- 22:34Speaker 10: We're not going to war, thank you. We're going to
- 22:37Speaker 10: clean up our cities. We're going to clean them up
- 22:40Speaker 10: so they don't kill five people every weekend. That's not war,
- 22:44Speaker 10: that's common sense. Just last month, we know that Trump
- 22:47Speaker 10: asserted federal control over Washington d C. We remember that,
- 22:53Speaker 10: I mean after threatening and threatening so so.
- 22:55Speaker 1: So what do mean?
- 22:57Speaker 11: So does this mean the police in each in these
- 23:00Speaker 11: cities are not doing their job? You feel like you
- 23:02Speaker 11: got to send in the National Guard to take care
- 23:04Speaker 11: of it?
- 23:04Speaker 9: What? What?
- 23:05Speaker 1: Why do we Why are we substituting what the police
- 23:07Speaker 1: are doing? But I think he just wants I mean
- 23:10Speaker 1: the police are still doing their job. Yeah, yeah, but
- 23:14Speaker 1: that's not what the.
- 23:15Speaker 10: National Guard is for and what they do, you know,
- 23:17Speaker 10: they're not that's not what they do.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 10: And you know a lot of people are saying he's
- 23:22Speaker 10: doing this because these cities have black mayors and actually
- 23:26Speaker 10: the crime has gone down in these cities.
- 23:28Speaker 12: But you know, well that's yeah, a lot of people,
- 23:31Speaker 12: a lot of Democrats feel that way too, that he's
- 23:33Speaker 12: doing that in these cities that, like you said, are
- 23:36Speaker 12: probably probably mostly Democratic city.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, or blue cities those counties are.
- 23:46Speaker 6: The National Guard don't want to go to Chicago, they.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Know, Yeah, no, so the Federals over over these cities.
- 23:57Speaker 12: You know, he's threatening more cities, you knows, Baltimore.
- 24:01Speaker 1: We've seen him.
- 24:02Speaker 12: Talk about the ah Man Yeah, yeah, going back and
- 24:05Speaker 12: forth about that derogatory stuff.
- 24:07Speaker 11: Yeah, when you post up like this, aren't we When
- 24:11Speaker 11: you post up national Guard, they're all over the place,
- 24:15Speaker 11: their presence is there, don't You just create tension and
- 24:18Speaker 11: it just it makes the violence, you know.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember.
- 24:24Speaker 10: I think it was in La after the Rodney King
- 24:30Speaker 10: shooting and killing and everything, and there were National Guards.
- 24:33Speaker 10: It isn't the riots. Yeah, and yeah, it was a
- 24:36Speaker 10: very eerie feeling, you know, to be in a city
- 24:39Speaker 10: with National Guard. They were just standing there. It was nothing,
- 24:41Speaker 10: but they had the tanks and all of that. It
- 24:43Speaker 10: was just it was strange. I don't know if it.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it really is.
- 24:49Speaker 10: I don't know if it stopped crime or anything. But
- 24:53Speaker 10: I don't know what is he doing.
- 24:56Speaker 12: It seems unconstitutional, it seems yeah, games.
- 25:01Speaker 1: It's just exactly everything he do on constitution. Constitution.
- 25:07Speaker 6: He's never read the constitution.
- 25:08Speaker 7: What do you mean?
- 25:11Speaker 11: And you're trying to and you're trying to clean up DC,
- 25:13Speaker 11: and let's start with you. You don't want with the
- 25:16Speaker 11: thirty four families we start, you don't start cleaning up.
- 25:19Speaker 11: We're gonna start cleaning up. Yeah, let's get let's get
- 25:22Speaker 11: to sweeping around our own front dough.
- 25:24Speaker 1: How about prosecuting for the insurrection. All of that.
- 25:28Speaker 9: You know that.
- 25:29Speaker 10: Okay, moving on, We're gonna move on. Leave that right
- 25:32Speaker 10: there and move on. Chrissy Teagan, we all know her
- 25:35Speaker 10: as John Legend's wife. Chrissy Tagan is facing some backlash
- 25:39Speaker 10: now after she revealed on the latest episode of Netflix's
- 25:43Speaker 10: Dinner Time with David Chang that she always wakes up
- 25:47Speaker 10: in the middle of the night to eat food.
- 25:50Speaker 1: That's not why she got backlash, though.
- 25:52Speaker 10: Chrissy says she wakes up around one am every single
- 25:55Speaker 10: night and sometimes she orders food, while other times she
- 25:59Speaker 10: just wakes John, letting off her husband to make her
- 26:01Speaker 10: a sandwich. Now, the social media comments went in on Chrissy,
- 26:07Speaker 10: saying she is rude, she is mean, I can't with her,
- 26:10Speaker 10: and so on because.
- 26:11Speaker 1: She wakes him up to make her a sandwich. So
- 26:14Speaker 1: they got mad at that one. We're just ordinary people.
- 26:19Speaker 1: We just want something.
- 26:22Speaker 10: You guys are married. You guys are married. What is
- 26:24Speaker 10: what is the big deal? Is this a big deal
- 26:27Speaker 10: in marriage? If your wife or your husband wakes you
- 26:29Speaker 10: up to make them a sandwich.
- 26:31Speaker 11: I get anything whatever. My white won't I get whatever
- 26:34Speaker 11: she wants. You know, our biggest thing going to bed
- 26:37Speaker 11: is bring me a bottle of water before we lay down.
- 26:40Speaker 11: So you got one of your night's staying. I got
- 26:43Speaker 11: one on man right, we can take it in for
- 26:44Speaker 11: the night. But yeah, whatever, my wife won't I go
- 26:47Speaker 11: get you want to you want something to eat? You
- 26:49Speaker 11: want to night snack? I got it faked.
- 26:50Speaker 6: You've been married longer to be Timmy. I've been married
- 26:52Speaker 6: almost three years. This a't what I like to do.
- 26:57Speaker 6: Who are these people giving the back langage? Because she could?
- 26:59Speaker 6: You go over here? You want some comments yescause if
- 27:04Speaker 6: you're been Wendy's in the middle of the night.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Sometimes, he would you prefer?
- 27:11Speaker 6: Don't you want a fish sandwich?
- 27:13Speaker 4: What right there?
- 27:14Speaker 1: No, I don't go to bed.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I want Tommy.
- 27:18Speaker 10: Tommy said, whatever she wants, she'll get it. Tom she
- 27:23Speaker 10: wants a sandwich in the middle of the night, curlor.
- 27:25Speaker 10: Are you gonna get up to make it? Or you
- 27:27Speaker 10: asking him to make you a sandwich?
- 27:29Speaker 11: Oh?
- 27:29Speaker 1: I'm asking him.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I'm not getting up. I'm asking him to do it.
- 27:32Speaker 12: But I think the problem with Chrissy tiaking is she
- 27:34Speaker 12: does it every day every day. See that's the back
- 27:38Speaker 12: she wakes up every night. She didn't Yes, she didn't
- 27:42Speaker 12: some stuff.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Some nights you got to do some stuff on your own.
- 27:46Speaker 1: But like make the sandwich before you and put it
- 27:49Speaker 1: button next to the bed right.
- 27:51Speaker 2: She says he's robotic with it, like he doesn't mind.
- 27:54Speaker 1: She says he doesn't sleep. John Legend, it's such a.

- 29:32Speaker 10: when people are doing the most. When they're doing it
- 29:35Speaker 10: in December. Okay, you know, when it's cold outside in
- 29:40Speaker 10: most cities. All right, we didn't do it a lot
- 29:42Speaker 10: in December.
- 29:43Speaker 1: This past December, we didn't do it a lot. Not
- 29:45Speaker 1: that you're referring back to your schedule.
- 29:48Speaker 5: I'm thinking, I didn't get nothing in December, not even Christmas. Okay,
- 30:00Speaker 5: I didn't get nothing. Well, okay, so you do the math.
- 30:05Speaker 12: Yeah, but if you're the math, the twelfth month of

- 30:34Speaker 5: Know, I watched a lot of Christmas movies. I didn't
- 30:36Speaker 5: get nothing. I'm sitting there looking at TV.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I sorry I brought this up, Junior.
- 30:40Speaker 6: I mean, do you remember anything in December?
- 30:44Speaker 1: I don't even think I saw her without closing. How
- 30:53Speaker 1: is this so she's not pregnant for sure?
- 30:56Speaker 13: Oh?
- 31:01Speaker 1: Wow?
- 31:02Speaker 5: Okay, So you know what I was doing in December.

- 31:44Speaker 1: Wow.
- 31:45Speaker 2: This is wow.
- 31:46Speaker 10: It's triggered. It triggered something for you. Here's a question.
- 31:50Speaker 10: If you could change your birthday to any day of
- 31:53Speaker 10: the year.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Would you do that, and why, Yes, I don't. I
- 31:56Speaker 1: don't want to change mine like that.
- 31:59Speaker 10: I'm good, Yeah, I love mine. In July, I don't

- 32:25Speaker 10: Morning Show. All right, guys, So binge watching may not
- 32:32Speaker 10: be the bad habit we think it is. According to
- 32:35Speaker 10: a new study from the University of Georgia, it finds
- 32:39Speaker 10: that watching episode after episode of shows or marathons of
- 32:43Speaker 10: movies we love it can be good for our mental
- 32:45Speaker 10: health and help us get through stress. It makes us
- 32:48Speaker 10: more likely to remember stories, keep engaging them through daytimes
- 32:53Speaker 10: and fantasies. So, I mean, you know, for so long
- 32:56Speaker 10: we've heard that that's not a good thing, to binge

- 47:50Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew.
- 47:50Speaker 10: Subject They're not really related, okay, Dear Steven Shirley. My
- 47:55Speaker 10: husband and I have been together for five years and
- 47:57Speaker 10: married for three years. I have a by my ex husband,
- 48:01Speaker 10: and my husband has a son by an ex girlfriend.
- 48:05Speaker 10: Our blended family works perfectly because the boys are very
- 48:08Speaker 10: close in age, so they're best friends. My stepson's mom
- 48:13Speaker 10: is cool, but I've made it a point to keep
- 48:15Speaker 10: her at a distance because my mother in law told
- 48:18Speaker 10: me she can be very messy at times. She also
- 48:22Speaker 10: warned me to keep an eye on my husband's cousin, Mallorie,
- 48:25Speaker 10: because she's a bad influence on my husband.
- 48:28Speaker 1: And we'll have him.
- 48:29Speaker 10: Hanging out at all, hanging out all of the time.
- 48:32Speaker 10: When I met my husband, he was out with his cousin, Mallory.
- 48:36Speaker 10: They were inseparable, and she has a son around our
- 48:39Speaker 10: son's age, so they all play together. She's a beautiful
- 48:42Speaker 10: woman with her own business, so I wondered why she's
- 48:45Speaker 10: still single.
- 48:47Speaker 1: After we got.
- 48:48Speaker 10: Married, Mallory stopped coming around as much, and my husband
- 48:51Speaker 10: said she was dating someone new and didn't want him
- 48:55Speaker 10: to meet the guy. That was four years ago. Now
- 48:58Speaker 10: she's stopped coming over all together. My husband's ex girlfriend
- 49:02Speaker 10: called me one day to ask if Mallory and I
- 49:05Speaker 10: had a problem with each other.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I told her no and asked why.
- 49:09Speaker 10: She said, there's a rumor that Mallory's three year old
- 49:12Speaker 10: son is my husband's child. I thought Mallory was his cousin,
- 49:18Speaker 10: but his ex said they're not related at all. I
- 49:21Speaker 10: called my mother in law to ask her, and she jokingly,
- 49:25Speaker 10: jokingly said they're kissing cousins and probably used to mess around.
- 49:30Speaker 10: It started to make sense because Mallory said she was
- 49:33Speaker 10: too sick to come to our wedding and she never
- 49:36Speaker 10: calls my phone. She always calls my husband and they
- 49:39Speaker 10: talk privately a lot.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Boy? Was I stupid? If this is true? How do
- 49:44Speaker 1: I find out all the truth without fighting them? Hmmm?
- 49:48Speaker 10: I don't know how you're going to do it without
- 49:50Speaker 10: fighting them, because it seems pretty clear what this is.
- 49:55Speaker 10: And so much for the perfect, blended family that you
- 49:58Speaker 10: thought you had, because this he's a mess, and you
- 50:01Speaker 10: already know that if you ask him, he's certainly.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Gonna lie about it. He hasn't told you until this point.
- 50:08Speaker 10: If you listen to the show on a regular basis,
- 50:11Speaker 10: you know the lives will be flying out of your
- 50:13Speaker 10: husband's mouth before you can even get.
- 50:15Speaker 1: The questions out.
- 50:16Speaker 10: Okay, there's also the matter of exactly what truth do
- 50:20Speaker 10: you want to know? Do you want to know if
- 50:22Speaker 10: they're really cousins? Are the exes? And the big question,
- 50:25Speaker 10: of course, is your husband Mallory's baby daddy. You got
- 50:28Speaker 10: to look at the facts. When you met your husband,
- 50:30Speaker 10: he was with Mallory. They were inseparable. Those are your words.
- 50:34Speaker 10: Your mother in law told you to keep an eye
- 50:36Speaker 10: on her because she's a bad influence on your husband.
- 50:40Speaker 10: I don't really know what that means, but your mother
- 50:43Speaker 10: in law also said that Mallory and your husband probably
- 50:45Speaker 10: messed around and they're kissing cousins. Okay, that could produce
- 50:51Speaker 10: a child if they messed around. And then his ex
- 50:54Speaker 10: said they're not related at all. After you guys married,
- 50:58Speaker 10: miss Mallory stopped coming around and now only talks to
- 51:02Speaker 10: your husband in private.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Something is off. Okay, you gotta admit that something is off,
- 51:07Speaker 1: and this sounds bad.
- 51:09Speaker 10: It should be fairly easy to get a DNA a
- 51:11Speaker 10: test to see who is the child's father. But what
- 51:16Speaker 10: is your gut telling you? That's what I got to
- 51:17Speaker 10: ask you. What is your gut telling you? Because my
- 51:20Speaker 10: gut is leaning toward Mallory is not his cousin like
- 51:23Speaker 10: they said, and your husband is the father.
- 51:27Speaker 12: That's what my gut is telling me. Steve, Wow, I
- 51:30Speaker 12: wasn't expecting this. I'm going to admit I'm a big
- 51:35Speaker 12: throwed off, you know a little bit of Oh.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Really, oh, one more turn?
- 51:43Speaker 9: Oh?
- 51:45Speaker 8: Now, Normally I would prepare a lie for this guy,
- 51:50Speaker 8: but this maybe not the time for the lie. Well,
- 51:55Speaker 8: instead of lying, no, this is a time for reveal. See,
- 52:00Speaker 8: that has a difference. You gotta know when to lie,
- 52:03Speaker 8: and you got to know when to reveal. So let
- 52:07Speaker 8: me walk you through what I'm saying, you've been married
- 52:10Speaker 8: for five years, three years knowing this guy for five
- 52:12Speaker 8: You got a son by your ex husband, and your
- 52:15Speaker 8: husband has a son by an ex girlfriend. Our blended
- 52:19Speaker 8: family works together perfectly because the boys are very close
- 52:24Speaker 8: in age. Let's keep that in mind. We're gonna need
- 52:27Speaker 8: this information right here. Put a star next to that,
- 52:31Speaker 8: so they're best friends. My stepson's mom is cool, but
- 52:35Speaker 8: I made it a point to keep her at a
- 52:36Speaker 8: distance because my mother in law told me she could
- 52:39Speaker 8: be very messy at times. Okay, let's keep that in
- 52:43Speaker 8: mind because that's.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Gonna come back.
- 52:46Speaker 8: She also wanted me to keep all my husband's cousin Mallory,
- 52:50Speaker 8: because she's a bad influence on my husband and have
- 52:52Speaker 8: him hanging out all the time I met my husband,
- 52:55Speaker 8: he was out with his cousin, Malay.
- 52:57Speaker 1: They were in separable.
- 52:59Speaker 8: He has a son around our She has a son
- 53:02Speaker 8: around our son's age, so they all play together. She's
- 53:06Speaker 8: a beautiful woman with her own business, so I wondered
- 53:09Speaker 8: why she was still single. After we got married, Mallory
- 53:12Speaker 8: stopped coming around as much, and my husband said she
- 53:16Speaker 8: was dating someone new and didn't want him to meet
- 53:19Speaker 8: the guy. Okay, that's an interesting comment in signs. Don't
- 53:25Speaker 8: know why you don't want you to meet the new guy.
- 53:29Speaker 8: You know you all friends and cousin. You would think
- 53:32Speaker 8: you want your cousin's opinion. That was four years ago.
- 53:36Speaker 8: Now she just stopped coming over all together. My husband's
- 53:39Speaker 8: at girlfriend called me one day work. Your husband's as
- 53:43Speaker 8: girlfriend called you. Then your mother in law tell you
- 53:45Speaker 8: to watch her.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Call she messy.
- 53:47Speaker 8: She told you to watch his ex girlfriend because.
- 53:52Speaker 1: She is messy. Here's she go.
- 53:54Speaker 6: She called you.
- 53:58Speaker 8: And ask if and I had a problem with each other.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Hold you, uh huh, hang on, hang on.
- 54:07Speaker 10: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 54:10Speaker 10: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's strawberry letter subject
- 54:14Speaker 10: they're not really related.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Okay, we'll get back into it right after this.
- 54:19Speaker 10: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey everyone, quick health question.
- 54:28Speaker 10: Even though you're still thriving, still loving, still connecting, did
- 54:32Speaker 10: you know your immune system weakens with age. That's where
- 54:35Speaker 10: vaccines come in. They help train and strengthen your immune
- 54:38Speaker 10: response to fight off certain respiratory illnesses like flu, new
- 54:41Speaker 10: Macaco pneumonia, RSV, and COVID nineteen. This fall ask your
- 54:46Speaker 10: doctor which vaccines you need, and visit vaxsist dot com.
- 54:50Speaker 10: That's vaexsist dot com to schedule one or more of
- 54:53Speaker 10: vaccines sponsored by Pfizer. All right, come on, Steve, Let's
- 54:57Speaker 10: recap today's strawberry letter. The subject They're not really related.
- 55:03Speaker 8: This woman being married, uh three years, been knowing this
- 55:06Speaker 8: guy five. She got a son from a previous husband,
- 55:10Speaker 8: He got a son from a previous girlfriends. They both
- 55:12Speaker 8: the same age. They got a blended family. They play
- 55:15Speaker 8: together all the time. Fast forward, the mother gets in
- 55:19Speaker 8: and tells her beware of his former girlfriend.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Because she can be messy. Then the mother in law
- 55:26Speaker 1: told her beware of.
- 55:28Speaker 8: Mallory because she can be getting him into trouble and
- 55:32Speaker 8: be a bad influence on him. So every woman in
- 55:36Speaker 8: his life has been a bad deceasion.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Damn.
- 55:45Speaker 8: Now they were in separate, because when you met them,
- 55:48Speaker 8: he was with Mallory. They were in separate and everything.
- 55:51Speaker 8: And now she's beautiful, got her own business, and you
- 55:54Speaker 8: wonder why she was still single. Well after we got married,
- 55:57Speaker 8: Mallory stopped coming around as much. As my husband said.
- 56:00Speaker 8: She was dating someone new and didn't want him meet
- 56:02Speaker 8: the guy. If when your cousins, you want your other
- 56:05Speaker 8: cousin's opinion, especially if y're all close. Red flag. That
- 56:09Speaker 8: was four years ago. Now she stopped coming over all together.
- 56:14Speaker 8: My husband said, if girlfriend called me one day to
- 56:16Speaker 8: asking Mallory and I had a problem with each other. Now,
- 56:20Speaker 8: why does he have to call you you? Let me
- 56:22Speaker 8: tell you why she called you, because your mam in
- 56:24Speaker 8: law told you she was messing, and here she come
- 56:28Speaker 8: four years. Took her four years to call you and asked,
- 56:33Speaker 8: you and Mallory have a problem with each other.
- 56:35Speaker 1: I told her no.
- 56:37Speaker 8: She said, well, why you ain't got no problem with him?
- 56:41Speaker 8: She said, there's a rumor that Mallory's three year old
- 56:43Speaker 8: son is your husband's childing I thought Mallory was his cousin. Well,
- 56:52Speaker 8: now let's deal with this right now. If you if
- 56:56Speaker 8: Mallory was his cousin, you don't have to worry about it.
- 57:01Speaker 1: He lies.
- 57:03Speaker 8: All you need to do is watch that boy close. Now,
- 57:08Speaker 8: three boys that's playing. Now is your little boy from
- 57:13Speaker 8: your ex husband, is your husband's little boy from his
- 57:18Speaker 8: ex girlfriend, and now is Mallory's little boy. If Mallory
- 57:26Speaker 8: is your husband's cousin, you would know that by watching
- 57:32Speaker 8: the boy. You know what, because this little boy ain't
- 57:36Speaker 8: gonna be quite right now. I'm just telling you, hey,
- 57:41Speaker 8: like the rest of the boy, he ain't gonna be
- 57:42Speaker 8: a climb on stuff. You know, he ain't gonna do
- 57:45Speaker 8: little boy stuff. Now, if these cousins have gotten together,
- 57:52Speaker 8: I'm telling you right now, he fought your house. Is
- 57:56Speaker 8: the little boy right now? Three three years old. He
- 58:01Speaker 8: ain't said nothing nothing.
- 58:04Speaker 6: He's still crawling.
- 58:10Speaker 1: He ain't said nothing. I cannot he still crawled.
- 58:15Speaker 6: Had three.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Leave you three you can.
- 58:19Speaker 8: Walk and one can't say water before wah wah that
- 58:25Speaker 8: that's huh. I'm just telling you if this was matter,
- 58:29Speaker 8: because just watch the boy. Man, how big is his head?
- 58:38Speaker 8: Are you?
- 58:39Speaker 7: Come on?
- 58:40Speaker 1: Come on, you move on from this.
- 58:43Speaker 8: No, this is how you do these letters. Okay, now
- 58:48Speaker 8: we'll get back to the boy. But right now, but
- 58:52Speaker 8: his ex said they're not related at all. Once again,
- 58:57Speaker 8: it would be in the boy if they were related. Now,
- 59:00Speaker 8: obviously this boys normal. He ain't doing nothing nothing that
- 59:04Speaker 8: in bread people do. I'm from West Virginia. I've seen
- 59:10Speaker 8: a couple of people that stayed up the road. What
- 59:13Speaker 8: can happen?
- 59:15Speaker 5: Lord?
- 59:17Speaker 1: Down there?
- 59:17Speaker 8: Just thirteen years old? They're walking down the street just
- 59:20Speaker 8: peeing on himself. If you don't pull over on the
- 59:22Speaker 8: side of the road and just do your business on
- 59:25Speaker 8: the side of what's you walking and peeing on yourself?
- 59:28Speaker 1: For Herbert?
- 59:30Speaker 8: He got a helmet on. Yeah, all right, I'm gonna
- 59:37Speaker 8: tell you. If he's fifteen and still got training with
- 59:42Speaker 8: he just ain't gonna get it. I'm just telling you,
- 59:45Speaker 8: he just ain't gonna get it. It's equilibrium. It's never
- 59:48Speaker 8: gonna kick in equilibrium. It's never gonna kick in. He
- 59:53Speaker 8: all he rides, he's still here fifteen, he got them
- 59:55Speaker 8: training where he's still ride to the side like this.
- 59:59Speaker 1: He's still ride to the side like this. Be hollering
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: for no reason.
- 1:00:06Speaker 8: Just come over your house. And if he get thirsty,
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: if he take his helmet off and put the water
- 1:00:16Speaker 8: in the helmet to drink it, we did what We're dealing.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: With some issues now. I'm just trying to tell you.
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: Anyway, he called your mother in law to ask because
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: she jokerly said they're kissing cousins.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Probably used to mess around.
- 1:00:27Speaker 8: Started to make sense because Mallory said she was too
- 1:00:30Speaker 8: sick to come to our wed and she never caused
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: my phone. She always caused my husband and they talk
- 1:00:35Speaker 8: privately a lot. Boy, was I stupid? If this is true?
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: No, you're not, No, you're not. It wasn't stupid at all.
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: Nobody knew and there's no way to new And obviously
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: it's not in the boy because the boy's normal. Thank
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: God for that. So no, they're not cousins. Now to
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: find out all the truth without fighting, Why you gotta
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: fight them? Just gather them together. I'll tell you what
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: you can fix all this, just ask the boy, yeah them.
- 1:01:00Speaker 10: Please leave your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter on Instagram.

- 1:04:59Speaker 10: Coming up at the on top of the hour, a
- 1:05:00Speaker 10: young woman on social media needs some advice. She says,
- 1:05:03Speaker 10: I need to prove I'm not a gold digger. We'll
- 1:05:06Speaker 10: talk about it right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:05:09Speaker 10: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, this is from
- 1:05:16Speaker 10: Jasmine on Steve HARVEYFM. She needs some advice, Jasmine says,
- 1:05:20Speaker 10: I have been with my fiance for a year and
- 1:05:22Speaker 10: a half. He is in the finance industry and makes
- 1:05:26Speaker 10: a lot more than I do. I work in marketing
- 1:05:29Speaker 10: for a nonprofit, so my paycheck is nothing close to his.
- 1:05:33Speaker 10: He always says it doesn't matter, and that he's happy
- 1:05:36Speaker 10: to cover dinner's trips and even bigger things. But I
- 1:05:40Speaker 10: can feel the looks from some of his family and
- 1:05:43Speaker 10: even a few of his friends, like they think I'm
- 1:05:45Speaker 10: only with him for what.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: He can give me.
- 1:05:47Speaker 10: I really love him and want to make it clear
- 1:05:50Speaker 10: that I'm not after his money, but I'm not sure
- 1:05:53Speaker 10: how to signal that without sounding defensive or creating drama.
- 1:05:58Speaker 10: I know that he doesn't have a problem, but I'm
- 1:06:00Speaker 10: really self conscious about this and I don't know what
- 1:06:03Speaker 10: I should do. Wow, what should she do?
- 1:06:08Speaker 9: Uh?
- 1:06:08Speaker 11: First, I gotta figure out how it's really about love
- 1:06:11Speaker 11: or are you really about this money? That's the part
- 1:06:13Speaker 11: I got figured out, and I don't have enough information
- 1:06:17Speaker 11: figure out. You know, I always want to know if
- 1:06:18Speaker 11: you're ready to love first. I always want to know
- 1:06:21Speaker 11: that you know what I'm saying. That's that's my first goal.
- 1:06:23Speaker 11: Are you ready to love? Because you start not with money.
- 1:06:26Speaker 11: Anytime somebody's start with money. That's all that seems to
- 1:06:28Speaker 11: be the problem. Why are we talking about money? If
- 1:06:30Speaker 11: he saying, don't worry about it, why are we discussing it?
- 1:06:32Speaker 11: Why is it an issue with She doesn't believe she
- 1:06:35Speaker 11: does feel he's saying, I got you whatever you want
- 1:06:39Speaker 11: to do, baby, I got everything. We go out and
- 1:06:40Speaker 11: be worried about that when you need something, I got you.
- 1:06:43Speaker 11: What's the problem?
- 1:06:44Speaker 10: So she said, she can feel the looks from his
- 1:06:46Speaker 10: family and his friends like she's only with him for
- 1:06:49Speaker 10: the money.
- 1:06:50Speaker 11: That's why she must be finding she looked way better
- 1:06:54Speaker 11: than what he didn't hand before.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: That's what this is. And he had nobody looked this good.
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: And what is he?
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: He is very well ugly.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: He looked like me.
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: Certified guarantee. He's paying for everything.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I think she needs to stop worrying. Yeah, in her life, Yeah,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: she said, just right, you need to chill. Yeah, don't.
- 1:07:23Speaker 11: Is it a situation where now you want him to
- 1:07:26Speaker 11: put some money in your account you want to get.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Now it's an allowance. Now it's starting to be a
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: little bit more than this. None of that is in this.
- 1:07:36Speaker 10: Okay, Yeah, she's just concerned that she wants to make
- 1:07:39Speaker 10: sure that she's you know, he doesn't think she's a
- 1:07:42Speaker 10: gold digger, basically, and nowhere, nothing in here says she's
- 1:07:46Speaker 10: a gold digger.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Nothing He's got.
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: To give it is, Yes, we need Jazz to step
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: it up, Jamine Jasmin need to do a better job
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: as a man that pays for a lot of things.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: We won't he I don't want to pay for ever.
- 1:08:05Speaker 11: The problem is this, though, the problem is she got
- 1:08:08Speaker 11: to give his ugly some confidence. And that's what's the
- 1:08:11Speaker 11: problem is she's with him, but he still can't figure

- 1:11:01Speaker 10: with many feeling pressure to make the right choice. This
- 1:11:05Speaker 10: has led to what researchers are calling ale anxiety. People
- 1:11:09Speaker 10: want to make sure that the things they buy align
- 1:11:12Speaker 10: with their values and their healthy choices.

- 1:11:24Speaker 11: about my help. Now I don't want that other salt.
- 1:11:27Speaker 11: So and then you got to find it and then
- 1:11:29Speaker 11: you can't read it. And it's a lot going on.
- 1:11:33Speaker 12: Yeah, that's me on the chip sile Yeah, lemon or
- 1:11:38Speaker 12: barbecue limon.
