  I'm thinking today of Judges 5 .16. In Judges

  5 .16 it says, Why did you sit among the sheepfolds?

  To hear the piping for the flocks? Among the

  divisions of Reuben there were great searchings

  of heart. The bottom line is that upon hearing

  the call to come up and serve God and to serve

  in God's army and to defeat the Midianites and

  the tribes that were coming against Israel, a

  lot of people just sort of delayed. rush into

  the effort, didn't get started doing what it

  was that God would have them do. We see the same

  thing today. There are a great many people kind

  of sitting on the fence. Perhaps they are determined

  that God is good and that he rewards those who
• 0:42
  seek him, but they're just not sure about risking
• 0:46
  all for him. They're not sure about moving. They're
• 0:49
  not sure whether what they've been doing to this
• 0:52
  point is enough. There will come a day when we

  may compare a person who searches his heart to
• 0:59
  determine whether or not he will step out for

  God to a person who does not search, and we will
• 1:04
  determine that the person who did search is such
• 1:07
  a better person. But better than searching one's
• 1:10
  heart to try to figure out whether or not one

  is going to move for God is actually moving for

  God. For there will really come a day when God

  will ask, did your hearts not burn within you

  while we walked? Could you not find certainty

  to get beyond doubts? You still sat while others

  were acting upon the truth. No, Lord, please

  let it be that we are found faithful. Let us

  be found among those who act upon what we know,

  not those who simply search our hearts and consider
