- 0:00I'm thinking today of Judges 5 .16. In Judges
- 0:035 .16 it says, Why did you sit among the sheepfolds?
- 0:08To hear the piping for the flocks? Among the
- 0:11divisions of Reuben there were great searchings
- 0:13of heart. The bottom line is that upon hearing
- 0:17the call to come up and serve God and to serve
- 0:19in God's army and to defeat the Midianites and
- 0:22the tribes that were coming against Israel, a
- 0:26lot of people just sort of delayed. rush into
- 0:30the effort, didn't get started doing what it
- 0:32was that God would have them do. We see the same
- 0:35thing today. There are a great many people kind
- 0:37of sitting on the fence. Perhaps they are determined
- 0:40that God is good and that he rewards those who
- 0:42seek him, but they're just not sure about risking
- 0:46all for him. They're not sure about moving. They're
- 0:49not sure whether what they've been doing to this
- 0:52point is enough. There will come a day when we
- 0:57may compare a person who searches his heart to
- 0:59determine whether or not he will step out for
- 1:01God to a person who does not search, and we will
- 1:04determine that the person who did search is such
- 1:07a better person. But better than searching one's
- 1:10heart to try to figure out whether or not one
- 1:12is going to move for God is actually moving for
- 1:15God. For there will really come a day when God
- 1:19will ask, did your hearts not burn within you
- 1:22while we walked? Could you not find certainty
- 1:25to get beyond doubts? You still sat while others
- 1:30were acting upon the truth. No, Lord, please
- 1:33let it be that we are found faithful. Let us
- 1:36be found among those who act upon what we know,
- 1:39not those who simply search our hearts and consider
- 1:42your call. God bless you today. Live for the
- 1:46Lord.
