- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn love, got to turn out. Then turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Come, come on your thing, I shall will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. Ya listen to the voice. Now, come
- 2:06Speaker 1: on dig me one and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show one more time partner, Steve Harvey got a
- 2:13Speaker 1: radio show. Man. How amazing is that? How good has
- 2:21Speaker 1: God been to me? How good has He been to you?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Just check yourself sometimes, just sit up. Just let's run
- 2:30Speaker 1: a survey. Just look at your life, where it's at.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It might not be where you wanted to be, but
- 2:34Speaker 1: that's probably some decisions you made. But really, though, in
- 2:38Speaker 1: spite of all the crazy mistakes I hadn't made. I mean, man,
- 2:44Speaker 1: I look back at some of the decisions I didn't
- 2:47Speaker 1: came up with, and and man, it's it's it's just
- 2:49Speaker 1: amazing He let me live. I mean, it's it's and
- 2:53Speaker 1: and and to exist the way I exist that's nothing
- 2:56Speaker 1: but grace, mercy, favor. All that is. That's what my
- 3:00Speaker 1: mama praying for me when I wasn't praying for myself.
- 3:03Speaker 1: It had to be it, because, man, I can truly
- 3:05Speaker 1: tell you I have made enough mistakes man, stuff you
- 3:10Speaker 1: would never even know about, and recovered from them all
- 3:15Speaker 1: you can too, and I don't care what you've done.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Marvin Sapp has a song out that says he saw
- 3:22Speaker 1: the best in me when everyone else around me could
- 3:26Speaker 1: only see the worst in me. You know that that's
- 3:29Speaker 1: an important song man, especially you know. I want to
- 3:33Speaker 1: talk to men today because man, being a man is
- 3:40Speaker 1: so so difficult. Please know it has been my quest
- 3:46Speaker 1: ever since I was a little boy. My father had
- 3:49Speaker 1: one ambition, son, I don't care what you do. Both.
- 3:54Speaker 1: When I get through raising you, you will be a man.
- 3:58Speaker 1: That's all I want you to be. And he never
- 3:59Speaker 1: cared what I did for a living and never made
- 4:02Speaker 1: a difference to him. You're going to be a man.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Manhood is difficult now, ladies, just listening to this, I'm
- 4:08Speaker 1: not saying womanhood ain't. I don't know what it takes
- 4:11Speaker 1: to be a woman, so you know, but I do
- 4:15Speaker 1: know exactly what it takes to be a man. So
- 4:18Speaker 1: you know, sometimes when you talk to people on the radio,
- 4:20Speaker 1: you have to preface things because people are just go
- 4:23Speaker 1: he trying to make it look like womanhood. Ain't. No,
- 4:26Speaker 1: That's not what I'm doing. I'm just talking to men
- 4:28Speaker 1: today to explain to them, to dame by the self
- 4:31Speaker 1: and struggling trying to figure this thing out, that you
- 4:35Speaker 1: are not alone in your quest for manhood. That is difficult,
- 4:39Speaker 1: but I gotta I gotta tell you, man manhood is
- 4:44Speaker 1: that kind of difficult, and it becomes even more compounded
- 4:48Speaker 1: if a young boy does not have a male role model.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I've said it a thousand times. I'll say it again.
- 4:54Speaker 1: A young boy without a male role model is like
- 4:58Speaker 1: an explorer without a map. While I have a suggestion
- 5:02Speaker 1: for everybody that's struggling with manhood and all of the
- 5:05Speaker 1: men out there that are men, This messages for all
- 5:08Speaker 1: of us, and it's for me too. You know. I
- 5:10Speaker 1: was listening to George Myers the other day and she
- 5:14Speaker 1: made a statement, she said, sometimes you gotta do the
- 5:18Speaker 1: right thing even when it feels wrong. You know, one
- 5:22Speaker 1: of the difficulties of manhood is pure pressure and the
- 5:28Speaker 1: misguided principles of manhood. See what God wants us to
- 5:34Speaker 1: be as men and what we believe manhood is sometimes
- 5:39Speaker 1: two different things. Give you an example. I wrote this
- 5:43Speaker 1: book for women, right and I was telling them the
- 5:46Speaker 1: three ways that a man shows his love, and I
- 5:49Speaker 1: call him three p's. We profess, we protect, and we provide.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Every man who is a man, that's how he exhibits love.
- 5:58Speaker 1: When I talkie key comforting with our great nurturists. But
- 6:02Speaker 1: when it comes down to to it, what we all
- 6:05Speaker 1: want to do, what is in our day DNA, is
- 6:07Speaker 1: to profess our love for something you as a woman,
- 6:11Speaker 1: to protect you as a woman, and to provide for
- 6:13Speaker 1: you as a woman. That's in our DNA. Now, sometimes
- 6:16Speaker 1: that gets messed up, and I'll give you an example.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Sometimes when a boy doesn't have the proper, real role
- 6:23Speaker 1: model in his life, he takes that principle of love
- 6:26Speaker 1: that we all possessing us every man, the professing part,
- 6:29Speaker 1: the protecting, and in the providing part, and we misplay it.
- 6:34Speaker 1: That's why gangs exist. Gangs exist off those three principles.
- 6:39Speaker 1: What's the first thing a gang member do. He professed,
- 6:42Speaker 1: he claim a hood. That's the first thing you do.
- 6:45Speaker 1: This is my neighborhood. I'm duces trade, I'm triple h,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I'm due de duke, I'm purple, I'm red, I'm blue.
- 6:52Speaker 1: The first thing they do is claim, that's professing. That's
- 6:55Speaker 1: how we show our love. But it's misguided though. Now
- 6:59Speaker 1: we profess and something that ain't even good for us.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Your hood, your game, your click now, guess what Now
- 7:06Speaker 1: we got to protect it. So now as a protection
- 7:11Speaker 1: part of our love, here we go. You come down here,
- 7:14Speaker 1: We're gonna do this to you. You go over there,
- 7:17Speaker 1: they're gonna do that to you. You protect your hood,
- 7:20Speaker 1: This your turf, this all you got. You ain't nobody
- 7:22Speaker 1: coming down here with blue own. Can't nobody come over
- 7:24Speaker 1: here with red on. You can't come over here with
- 7:26Speaker 1: purple on. You can't come over here with black and
- 7:28Speaker 1: gold on. And we and we protect that because that's
- 7:31Speaker 1: in our DNA. And then what's the third thing we provide?
- 7:35Speaker 1: So guess what the game need money? Guess what we do.
- 7:38Speaker 1: We're selling drugs, we're selling women, we're selling guns. It
- 7:44Speaker 1: go back to the same thing. Man. I don't know
- 7:46Speaker 1: how God gave it to me that way when I
- 7:48Speaker 1: was writing a book, But he showed it to me
- 7:50Speaker 1: along the way. That's how men love well. When you
- 7:53Speaker 1: don't have a role model in your life. Guess what,
- 7:55Speaker 1: now that love is misplaced, it's misguided, it's off track.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Ain't no man told you that. Really you're supposed to
- 8:01Speaker 1: take this love and give it to a woman. You're
- 8:03Speaker 1: really supposed to profess, protect and provide for a woman,
- 8:07Speaker 1: not your gang set. Now you professing your hood, wrapping
- 8:11Speaker 1: a color. You're protecting your territory, shooting people driving by,
- 8:15Speaker 1: coming over you on your street, and then you provide.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Now you are here selling drugs and guns for the
- 8:19Speaker 1: same thing. When a boy does not have a male
- 8:22Speaker 1: role model, he has a misguided way of looking at manhood.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Here's a deal. See, God created all of us in
- 8:31Speaker 1: his image. That means He's put some of our DNA
- 8:35Speaker 1: in him. That's why it's in your DNA to profess, protect,
- 8:39Speaker 1: and provide because guess what, that's what God do for us,
- 8:43Speaker 1: because we His children. I'm just talking to men right now.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, man, I had to wake up
- 8:49Speaker 1: about five years ago. I wasn't doing what God wanted
- 8:52Speaker 1: me to do, and then he shook me. He said, Man,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna bring about some changes in your life. I'm
- 8:58Speaker 1: gonna cause some things to happen, and that's gonna put
- 9:01Speaker 1: you in a position in this time. You're gonna listen
- 9:03Speaker 1: to me, because if you don't, you're gonna keep living
- 9:06Speaker 1: in this pain you've been in. But you put yourself
- 9:09Speaker 1: in this pain. I own no blame to no one
- 9:11Speaker 1: else but myself. Please know. I know that. And that's
- 9:15Speaker 1: how you really get to manhood, when you figure out
- 9:18Speaker 1: what you hadn't done wrong. You can't blame this on
- 9:20Speaker 1: none of your exes because you're a man. You can't
- 9:22Speaker 1: go my ex dear this. No, No, you're a man, pardner.
- 9:26Speaker 1: You got to take responsibility for yours and yours alone.
- 9:29Speaker 1: If you got kids, you got to get to him
- 9:32Speaker 1: some kind of way. Write him a letter, send them
- 9:35Speaker 1: the money. If she won't let you see it, for
- 9:37Speaker 1: the money, whatever, send them money to a mama. Do
- 9:40Speaker 1: what you're supposed to do as a man. Do what
- 9:42Speaker 1: God want you to do, man, because he's not letting
- 9:46Speaker 1: us off the hook for what we're supposed to be
- 9:48Speaker 1: just because you ain't doing it. And if you do it,
- 9:51Speaker 1: you turn your life around. Just houlding at the fellas
- 9:54Speaker 1: today that saw Sorry about that. You're listening show people,
- 10:02Speaker 1: get read. That's a train come in. You don't need
- 10:11Speaker 1: no ticket. You just get on, boy, ladies and gentlemen.

- 21:15Speaker 1: I am calling. We're trying to get a um uh
- 21:18Speaker 1: schedule an appointment with you. Your husband has purchased you
- 21:22Speaker 1: a pedicure uh pedicure spots, so we wanted to get
- 21:27Speaker 1: see what date, if Saturday would work for you. Um,
- 21:33Speaker 1: My husband wanted to book a pedicure for me. I'm
- 21:35Speaker 1: I'm I'm actually good right now. I'm gonna wait and
- 21:37Speaker 1: till i'm ready, but thank you very much. But no,
- 21:44Speaker 1: this is a this is a this is a pop
- 21:47Speaker 1: up pedicure. And what we do is we actually cool. Yeah,
- 21:50Speaker 1: we come to your house. We have gloves and we
- 21:54Speaker 1: have mask on and you you stick your foot out
- 21:57Speaker 1: the door and we're going to disinfect everything your foot.
- 22:04Speaker 1: You're talking about putting my foot out the door. Yeah,
- 22:07Speaker 1: so just for safety, you stick it. I'm sorry. My
- 22:11Speaker 1: name is Milton with Precious Pop Up Pedicure. We do
- 22:15Speaker 1: pedicure as we go around. But we know a lot
- 22:17Speaker 1: of people can't get out. So you know, we're small business.
- 22:19Speaker 1: We're just trying to stay afloat right now. So that's
- 22:22Speaker 1: but your husband called in about you know, he called us.
- 22:24Speaker 1: He wanted to get an appointment for you. And but
- 22:27Speaker 1: we come to your house and when you stick your
- 22:29Speaker 1: leg out, we'll do the pedicure and then you stick
- 22:31Speaker 1: the other leg out and we'll do that one. Milton, honey, tweetheart.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I know you've seen a lot of feet and you've
- 22:36Speaker 1: done a lot of toes and hands, and let me
- 22:38Speaker 1: tell you something. The I'm gonna put my feet out
- 22:41Speaker 1: the window first of all, Well, whichever is convenient the
- 22:45Speaker 1: window of the door, I don't care what it is.
- 22:49Speaker 1: If I'm going to get my feet done, I'm gonna
- 22:51Speaker 1: have my dump my feet done in a chair inside
- 22:54Speaker 1: and I would be. I'd be out of my head
- 22:57Speaker 1: if I put my feet out the window. People don't
- 22:59Speaker 1: see my feet out the window. That is crazy. And
- 23:02Speaker 1: I'm coming correct as as a businesswoman woman to a man, Milton,
- 23:08Speaker 1: I suggest you just you tell her that back in
- 23:11Speaker 1: maybe you can do some some buy me in advanced
- 23:13Speaker 1: pettitars like that from my feet? Are you tragile? Beautiful?
- 23:17Speaker 1: He's putting out there? Well, well there there's lives the
- 23:21Speaker 1: problem man, And if you don't mind your your husband,
- 23:24Speaker 1: Kelvin is the one that called, and he's the one
- 23:26Speaker 1: that says that your feet look a mess. So that's
- 23:28Speaker 1: why we're calling. He's the one that booked the appointment
- 23:31Speaker 1: for you. You know what, My feet are beautiful. And
- 23:35Speaker 1: again Milton, you know they are they beautiful now? Since
- 23:38Speaker 1: you've been in I'm sorry, use me? Are you? Are
- 23:41Speaker 1: you the person who should be telling me that? That's
- 23:43Speaker 1: telling my husband, who I will have a conversation with
- 23:46Speaker 1: after this conversation. So I guess my question is, man,
- 23:50Speaker 1: you're seeing your feet are beautiful, But are they beautiful
- 23:52Speaker 1: now since they you've been locked up for a month
- 23:54Speaker 1: or so? I mean, evidently you evidently your feet are
- 23:58Speaker 1: scaring your husband because he's the one called and saying,
- 24:00Speaker 1: oh my god, I gotta get my wife's feet done.
- 24:02Speaker 1: My feet are gorgeous, tweetheart. Okay, they're beautiful, the supple,
- 24:07Speaker 1: the beautiful that got a beautiful tone of caramel to them.
- 24:10Speaker 1: They shine at the sunshine. Whether they're policed or not.
- 24:13Speaker 1: My husband will love them whether they're painted clip. Well,
- 24:16Speaker 1: I don't think your husband loves them because he called us. Obviously, Milton,
- 24:21Speaker 1: you're not thinking, and I think you need to check
- 24:23Speaker 1: with your wife, Wendy. Do you know that there's no
- 24:26Speaker 1: reason you should ever have this conversation with a grown
- 24:29Speaker 1: woman about her feet. Is what her husband says. I
- 24:31Speaker 1: don't know you, and I'm trying to be as polite
- 24:33Speaker 1: as possible. You will not be stepping into my window,
- 24:37Speaker 1: are you crazy? I'm not gonna come in your window.
- 24:40Speaker 1: You just stick your foot out of the window of
- 24:42Speaker 1: the door, whichever one is convenient for you. Okay, it's
- 24:45Speaker 1: not that hard. It's gonna fifteen twenty minutes and we're done.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, you are not getting business
- 24:51Speaker 1: fifteen or twenty minutes. Do you know how much time
- 24:53Speaker 1: it takes to get a pedicure done. You know this
- 24:56Speaker 1: is well, this is a pop up this it's a
- 25:00Speaker 1: pop up pedicure. Pop down. You're gonna be driving through
- 25:05Speaker 1: with spree wos At this point, I'm not taking that.
- 25:08Speaker 1: No no, no, no no. And I'm having a conversation
- 25:11Speaker 1: with my husband to never call you again. And I

- 54:07Speaker 1: all right, we'll prepare myself. Nephew, all right. Subject for
- 54:12Speaker 1: your baby isn't cute at all. Dear Stephen Shirley, I
- 54:16Speaker 1: am a thirty year old married woman and my husband
- 54:19Speaker 1: and I need your advice on an issue with our
- 54:21Speaker 1: closest friends. Our friends, our first time parents, and their
- 54:24Speaker 1: daughter is a toddler. Now, since the child was born,
- 54:28Speaker 1: we've been at a group text with the couple and
- 54:30Speaker 1: fifteen other people. My husband and I both hate text groups,
- 54:35Speaker 1: but we humored the couple because they are really nice people.
- 54:39Speaker 1: The couple started the group chat so they could send
- 54:42Speaker 1: us pictures of their newborn daughter. We got pictures of
- 54:45Speaker 1: the child almost daily, and the mother would send us
- 54:48Speaker 1: a text message if we didn't respond. They've always bragged
- 54:52Speaker 1: about how beautiful this child is, and I don't want
- 54:55Speaker 1: to be rude, but she's not cute at all. When
- 54:59Speaker 1: we got her newborn picture, my husband Darnier, screamed. And
- 55:03Speaker 1: whenever we see this little girl in person, I have
- 55:06Speaker 1: to watch my facial expressions. This little girl looks like
- 55:10Speaker 1: an older woman in the face. She never smiles, and
- 55:13Speaker 1: her afro is lopsided and dry all the time, and
- 55:17Speaker 1: her face looks ashy. She's two years old now and
- 55:20Speaker 1: we're still getting pictures. We want to kindly ask that
- 55:24Speaker 1: we'd be removed from the text group. If I see
- 55:27Speaker 1: one more picture of this child looking crazy, I might
- 55:30Speaker 1: just have to pull them aside and suggest they fix
- 55:33Speaker 1: their daughter up a bit. It's nothing to brush a
- 55:36Speaker 1: little grease in her hair and add a few barettes
- 55:39Speaker 1: in it, and maybe put some vasiline on her lips.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Maybe they should also tickle the baby so she will
- 55:44Speaker 1: smile on some of her pictures. Oh, but forget all
- 55:47Speaker 1: of that. We want I know, I know, we want to.
- 55:55Speaker 1: I just want to say, okay, let me finished. Maybe
- 55:59Speaker 1: they should also take cool the baby, so she'll smile
- 56:01Speaker 1: on some of her pictures. But forget all of that. Okay,
- 56:04Speaker 1: we want to leave the texting group altogether. We just
- 56:07Speaker 1: don't want to upset our friends. I'm sure we are
- 56:09Speaker 1: not the only ones that want the pictures to stop.
- 56:13Speaker 1: I'm embarrassed for feeling this way with an innocent child.
- 56:16Speaker 1: What should we do? All? This is so sad, This
- 56:20Speaker 1: is so sad. I'm with you on one thing. I
- 56:23Speaker 1: do not like group text messages either. I don't. I would.
- 56:26Speaker 1: I would step up and say something about that. Just
- 56:29Speaker 1: leave me out, or stop responding, or just stop responding
- 56:32Speaker 1: to the group text messages. Even if they text you
- 56:35Speaker 1: back and say did you get it? Just stop responding.
- 56:38Speaker 1: I think they'll get the message about the text texting
- 56:41Speaker 1: group sooner or later. But about the baby that you
- 56:44Speaker 1: say is not cute, It's not the baby's fault. It
- 56:47Speaker 1: just really isn't be as sweet to the baby as
- 56:50Speaker 1: you possibly can when you see hers not her fault.
- 56:54Speaker 1: You said, she looks like an older woman in the face.
- 56:57Speaker 1: I think maybe one day she'll grow into her face.
- 57:00Speaker 1: You know, I told you guys, I think was yesterday
- 57:02Speaker 1: I had really really big eyes when I was a baby.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I grew into my eyes, but I grew into them, Steve,
- 57:10Speaker 1: I did, I did. Um. Yeah, I'm trying all this
- 57:17Speaker 1: little baby. It's not her fault. Just leave the texting
- 57:21Speaker 1: group if that's really all you want to do, just
- 57:23Speaker 1: leave there. Uh and you know, yeah, to feel this
- 57:27Speaker 1: way about an innocent child, I mean I understand that,
- 57:30Speaker 1: and it is again not the child's fault. What should
- 57:33Speaker 1: you do? First and foremost, get out of the text group. Okay,
- 57:36Speaker 1: if they ask you what's wrong, just say you get
- 57:38Speaker 1: you're really busy and you don't have time. Okay, don't
- 57:42Speaker 1: comment on the baby. Don't make any uh, you know,
- 57:45Speaker 1: disparaging remarks about the baby or anything like that. It's
- 57:48Speaker 1: not the baby's fault. Leave the baby out of it. Okay,
- 57:53Speaker 1: yeah the baby. Yeah, leave the baby alone. Yeah, I
- 57:57Speaker 1: have to. I have to. And this is a baby,
- 58:00Speaker 1: you guys. I just wanted to say two things about
- 58:04Speaker 1: the baby. Didn't over. Let time to take over. Now.
- 58:07Speaker 1: The fact that the baby looked like an old woman
- 58:09Speaker 1: ain't got nothing to do with this little Benjamin Butch looking,
- 58:15Speaker 1: this little bonnet on, this little Benjamin Butch looking thing.
- 58:18Speaker 1: He wants us to be all right with you. And
- 58:22Speaker 1: then the second thing, Shirley and all I'm saying in
- 58:25Speaker 1: time you take it over. You said that the baby
- 58:28Speaker 1: is on the picture and the baby never smiles. Yeah,
- 58:32Speaker 1: that's what it said. That's called she knows. He found out.
- 58:38Speaker 1: She knows. She went by the mirror in the stroller
- 58:45Speaker 1: in the mall. She looked over there with I know,
- 58:57Speaker 1: ain't pushing me around this mall looking like I ain't
- 59:01Speaker 1: got no lotion, I ain't got this damn bonnet. It's
- 59:05Speaker 1: crooked my afro. Come to me. I'm sitting over here
- 59:11Speaker 1: looking like a little man. If you don't take my
- 59:15Speaker 1: ass to the house, Yeah, maybe your friends can keep
- 59:21Speaker 1: the baby. And like my daddy, I'm a two year
- 59:28Speaker 1: old girl. Hell, I look like my father. I thought
- 59:32Speaker 1: you only had two things to say. Okay, I'm sorry.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Tommy's gonna do the letter. Can we come back all right, Listen,
- 59:40Speaker 1: we're gonna come back with part two of this letter.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Steve's gonna give Tommy his chance to respond to this
- 59:47Speaker 1: letter subject your baby isn't cute at all. We'll be
- 59:50Speaker 1: back at twenty three minutes after the hour, right after
- 59:53Speaker 1: this and two years, I ain't got a compliment. You're
- 59:56Speaker 1: listening to show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. Subject your baby is not cute at all? Wow, Well,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: time going to go this a little baby that shot
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: years old, it's over. Shirley tried to relate to the
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: fact that she had big ass when she was a baby.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: You didn't. You still got ass, and that leaves no
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: hope for this baby growing up. The baby looked like
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: a little man right now, she fitt, looked like a
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: little old man, laid on, she said, a woman out
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: of face. Go ahead, Tommy, all right. I think what
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: we have here is a situation where I've been taught
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: early on eye for eye or two for two, fight
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: fire with five. You're gonna have to fight ugly with
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: some more ugly. Does that make sense so far? But
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: when you see these ugly pictures coming, don't just sit
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: there and look at it and keep on bout your day.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Come back with some more ugly, all right. When they
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: sending that baby, pitch out, boom, first one, you hit back.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Dennis Rodman, You're gonna You're gonna play your ugly card
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: against the ugly card. Keep coming with it as soon
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: as they send another picture of that baby, Oh Lord,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: hit them back wicked with you to east. You just
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: keep coming with more ugly It's enough ugly people in
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: this world that you can keep sending back via text
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: that all these couples on this dog on text chat.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I promise you they are going to be saying you've
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: been doing what we've been wanting to be due how
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: many people? How many ugly people do y'all know, you know,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: a bunch out for them, then died, then died against
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: these ugly babies. Yes, this ain't about the baby. It's
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: about the parents that's sending the baby. The baby don't
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: know we're sending these ugly pictures back. Send some ugly
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: pictures to fight these ugly uncle Steve, when you used
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: to get baseball card, then you trade them in with
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: other baseball card, which over ones was good against the
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: other one. Didn't you do that with your boys? Ye? Yes,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: but ugly pictures, but quite ugly. More pictures, Tommy, Huh.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: The parents think she's beautiful, and if you're sending enough
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: ugly pictures, they're gonna get the picture. Other people don't
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: recognize beauty, and enough pictures and they'll get the picture
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: your baby ugly, all right, and sometimes you might have
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: to just blatantly come on out with it in test
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: text back, please don't send me no more of the
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: ugly baby pictures. Oh no, I've been trying since the
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: baby got here, but damn it, I got to say
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: it now. Huh, he said, thank you. So you're proud
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: of him. You're proud of him? Yeh one of the
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: things I've ever seen him on radio? What ugly begots ugly? Shirley,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you know, but not if you don't know that they're ugly.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: But that's the problem, Shirley. Even the people that own
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the baby don't know the baby ugly, and they probably
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: ugly too. It ought to be a sin for two people,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: two ugly people, to get together because you bring another
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: the baby. Don't have two ugly people, mate, they bring
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: in another ugly one in the world. Okay, Now, the
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: baby don't know she ugly or he ugly yet. They
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: don't know that yet. Okay. And what the last thing wait,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: wait and wait on the last thing you want to
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: do is tickle an ugly baby. Do you know what
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: you what you find to get some funny ass ugly? Now?
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: That's what you find to get. You got funny, ugly
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: falling after the dog gonna stroke? Do you hit me?
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Tickle her ugly baby and see what pop up? Poor baby.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I understand Shirley, and don't have no mirrors and stuff
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: in that baby room. Well let that, let let it,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: let it time go by, for they got to see theirselves.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Don't let the baby. When they brush their tea in themorrow,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: don't look in the mirror. Don't do that. I don't
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: wear it. Don't do that. Brush their teeth turned the
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: head the other way. But comb this baby hair, get
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: him as pretty ugly as you can comb the hair,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: wash their face, put some lotion on. Get I'm ready
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: for school. That's as pretty ugly as you can keep.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: She said. Her afro is lopsided. And I'll put a
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: wig on the baby. That might hear a wig a
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: two year old? They got baby wigs. Hey what else
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: we got? They got baby quig? Get her out baby
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: quigs and do it like what baby? What a baby?
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: You get a baby baby gonna look a whole lot
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: better than way they're looking at her. You're still proud.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I'm just checking uncle. Yeah, you're still happy with your nephews. Well,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you know, I gotta I want to say thank you man.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: You made me proud. What sir baby proudly says some
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: stuff that I would have said. Yes, yeah, yeah, sometimes
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: you have to do it like that. That ain't our problem.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: We are not supporting ugly children. Give me my money,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: give me my donation, right back. Stand up, you guys,

- 1:06:12Speaker 1: y'all plan on getting your man's gifts this year? Right? Yeah? Christmas?
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Give Is it gonna be something he won't Well, so yeah,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: I'm going to put some thought. Yeah, because that's what
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: I think you said. The keyword, because the truth about
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: it is, we don't give a damn about the thought
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: that counts. We won't gifts. We can show our boys
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: these gifts that men really won't. I know, I'm said,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: I know what I said. I know what I said.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I know I said it don't really matter baby, but
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: didn't do Okay, okay, I would, I know because yeah,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: let me tell you. We don't want bad gifts. Like
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: bad gift is winter gloves. We don't our. Boys don't
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: ask about when the gloves, they don't ask about get cold.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: We put him in our poet, we put him in
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: our pocket. Don't care about that. Here's another gift you'll
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: catch about a rod me o boys, roll beautiful ro
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: We open this box up again and see a role. Okay,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: take we're not putting it out. We don't care about that, slipper.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Excuse me. There's an exception google that that, but I
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: ain't experienced that. I'm just gonna talk about what I
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: want that. Okay, I'm gonna look into that. I ain't
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: there yet, but I know the dudes I'll be dealing with.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: We don't care about the roads we get. Okay, you know, okay,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: don't want to turn cloth. No one look like a
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: tik like a burn your neck up. So as you
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: put it on, Steve, you know what the short one
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: because I'm tall. Now your booty. I got that one pocket,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: one pocket, my two pockets one and the call and
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: the built on the road the same thickness as the

- 1:14:54Speaker 1: even though he told me what he wants. I want
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: to get something that he didn't think I would get,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: you know what I mean, so hard to buy for. So, yes,

- 1:18:50Speaker 1: then that's when the teacher had asked me, get on,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: you know what's for Shakespeare? And I said, to be
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: listen to me. I thank you guys. Coming up next
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: to Steve with today's closing remarks right after this you're
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: listening to All right, Steve, here we are last break
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: of the day on this Tuesday. You have some closing
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: remarks for us. I know you do you know I'm
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: oftentimes talking about oh my success. Speeches and and and
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: seminars that I do are usually always centered around the
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: proper mindset. You know. I don't go to share with
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: people or trying to teach people to put a particular thing.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: What I try to share with people is how to
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: develop the proper mindset to become successful, because that's all
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: I had. You know, I didn't have an education. You know,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: I didn't I didn't have a great deal of book knowledge.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: You know, I was just never that guy, but I was.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I've always been or I consider myself a person that
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: has a level of wisdom. And one of the things
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: that I try to share with people is the mindset. Well,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: I learned something recently. I actually learned it back in March.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Now I'm going to paraphrase something that I read in
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: a daily devotional that a lady on my job gave
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: to me named Jennifer. She's a sound tech for my
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: talk show for years, and she also works with me
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: on family Feud. She's what we call our Christian lady.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: But she's a young sister. But she really really committed.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: You know, when you when she feel your spirit being down,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: she prayed for you that's just just good people, man.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: So she gave me this daily devotional called Jesus Calling,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: and I was reading it and back and that talk
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: me something. Because you know, in my discussions about mindset,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: I've always told people that one of the things that
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: motivated me was a long time ago I heard the
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: scripture that says He comes to give you life and
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: give you life more abundantly. And so I used to
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: just ask God for my abundance. I really did, but
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: I wasn't I didn't really know exactly what they meant.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: I was just thinking in terms of material and you know,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: I need some help man with my finances and all
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: of that. That's the abundance I've talked it's about. But
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: I learned back in March that abundant life doesn't necessarily
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: mean health or wealth. What it was really trying to
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: get me to understand, and what this book has been
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: trying to do is get me to have a closer walk,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: just so just to open up my heart to create
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: more room for God, you know, so God can come
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: in and operate a little bit better. God can come in,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: but you got to make room for him. You know,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: you can't block him out with all your business and
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: the chaos that's in your day, you know, and everything,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: and then and then making him last, and then just
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: calling on him when you get in trouble. You know,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: he just he's been trying to share with me how
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I should talk to him about everything. Whether it's my
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: physical fitness, it's decisions I'm making in business, it's problems
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: I'm having with my family, you know, as things you
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: might want to discuss about your marriage. I'm talking about everything.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: You know, when you hear old people something else pray
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: without season, they talking about with everything. Now, I've never
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: really done that, to be honest with you. You know,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I pray about certain things, but I just really started
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: getting into the habit of talking to God about everything.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: And this abundant life was talking to me more about
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: health and wealth. It was about staying in continual touch
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: with God so you can have a more of a
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: bigger presence in your life. And that right there will
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: give you an abundant life within it self. Because what
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: happens to a lot of people is you when you
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: wake up in the morning, you try to fit your
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: day into this preconceived mold that you have about how
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: you think the day are to go. So you spend
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: all your time trying to fit this day that God
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: gives us. Give us this day our daily bread. That
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: line right there, or today is the day that the
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Lord has maid. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: That right down. We try to take that precious gift
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: of the day and we try to fit that into
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: a preconceived mold of what we have. So what He
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: tries to get us to do instead of putting it
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: into this preconceived mold that you got, what God really
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: wants us to do is relax and be on the
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: lookout for what He doing. See that's the thing, man,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: when you say the Lord's prayer, that's the part out
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: and finally got in my head. Give us this day
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: our daily bread. Just let me get through the day.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Help me with my decisions today. Show me what you
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: be handling today. Tell me how to look get through today.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: This mindset instead of trying to fit your day into
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: this preconceived mold, this mindset of watching to see what
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: God gonna do. Now faith with our works is dead,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: So I ain't just just sit on your tail and
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: don't do nothing, but see what He got for you.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: When you do this mindset, it actually will free you
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: up to enjoy your day better and actually find what
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: God had planned for you. His plan is way better
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: than the one you got anyway. So when you turn
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: everything over to Him, when you stay in constant prayer
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: with him, what it does is it frees your mind
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: up to relax. Because half of our pressure, high blood
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: pression and depression, and half of this stuff is because
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: we're just wearing about stuff that we actually have no
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: control over. That's not the sole reason for depression. I'm
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: just saying, that's just one of the things we saw
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: worried and caught up in what we need to be doing,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: that we don't focus and let Him do it. That's
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: one of the biggest things I've learned today. And it
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: frees your mind up. And that's one of the things
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna finish this tomorrow. I'm will give you like
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: a part two to this tomorrow. Live your life in
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: expectation by everyone. For all Steve Harvey contests, no purchase necessary,
