- 2:13Speaker 9: radio show.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Man.
- 2:17Speaker 9: How amazing is that? How good has God been to me?
- 2:23Speaker 9: How good has he been to you? Just check yourself sometimes,
- 2:28Speaker 9: just sit up and just just run a survey. Just
- 2:31Speaker 9: look at your life. Where it's at. That might not
- 2:33Speaker 9: be where you want it to be, but that's probably
- 2:35Speaker 9: some decisions you made. But really, though, in spite of
- 2:39Speaker 9: all the crazy mistakes I don't made, I mean, man,
- 2:44Speaker 9: I I I look back at some of the decisions
- 2:47Speaker 9: I done came up with, and and man, it's it's
- 2:49Speaker 9: it's just amazing. He let me live. I mean, it's
- 2:53Speaker 9: it's and and and to exist the way I exist.
- 2:55Speaker 9: It does nothing but grace, mercy, favor all that it is.
- 3:00Speaker 9: That's my mama praying for me when I wasn't praying
- 3:02Speaker 9: for myself. It had to be it, because, man, I
- 3:05Speaker 9: can truly tell you I have made enough mistakes man,
- 3:10Speaker 9: stuff you would never even know about, and recovered from
- 3:13Speaker 9: them all you can too, and I don't care what
- 3:18Speaker 9: you've done.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Marvin Sap has a.
- 3:20Speaker 9: Song out that says he saw the best in me
- 3:23Speaker 9: when everyone else around me could only see the worst
- 3:27Speaker 9: in me. You know that's an important song man, especially
- 3:32Speaker 9: you know. I want to talk to men today because man,
- 3:39Speaker 9: being a man is so so difficult. Please know it
- 3:45Speaker 9: has been my quest ever since I was a little boy.
- 3:48Speaker 9: My father had one ambition. Son, I don't care what
- 3:52Speaker 9: you do, but when I get through raising you, you
- 3:57Speaker 9: will be a man. That's all I want you to be.
- 4:00Speaker 9: You had what I did for a living. It never
- 4:02Speaker 9: made a difference to him. You're going to be a man.
- 4:05Speaker 9: Manhood is difficult. Now, ladies, just listening to this, I'm
- 4:08Speaker 9: not saying womanhood ain't. I don't know what it takes
- 4:11Speaker 9: to be a woman, so you know, but I do
- 4:15Speaker 9: know exactly what it takes to be a man. So
- 4:18Speaker 9: you know, sometimes when you talk to people on the radio,
- 4:20Speaker 9: you have to preface things because people are just going
- 4:23Speaker 9: he trying to make it look like womanhood.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Ain't.
- 4:25Speaker 9: No, That's not what I'm doing. I'm just talking to
- 4:28Speaker 9: men today to explain to them that they ain't by
- 4:31Speaker 9: theyself and struggling trying to figure this thing out, that
- 4:35Speaker 9: you are not alone in your quest for manhood. That
- 4:37Speaker 9: is difficult, I gotta tell you, man manhood is that
- 4:44Speaker 9: kind of difficult, and it becomes even more compounded if
- 4:48Speaker 9: a young boy does not have a male role model.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I've said it a thousand times. I'll say it again.
- 4:55Speaker 9: A young boy without a male role model is like
- 4:58Speaker 9: an explorer without a math. Well, I have a suggestion
- 5:02Speaker 9: for everybody that's struggling with manhood and all of the
- 5:05Speaker 9: men out there that are men. This messages for all
- 5:08Speaker 9: of us, and it's for me too.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You know.
- 5:10Speaker 9: I was listening to Jeorce Myers the other day and
- 5:14Speaker 9: she made a statement, she said, sometimes you got to
- 5:17Speaker 9: do the right thing even when it feels wrong. You know,
- 5:21Speaker 9: one of the difficulties of manhood is pure pressure and
- 5:28Speaker 9: the misguided principles of manhood. See what God wants us
- 5:34Speaker 9: to be as men and what we believe manhood is.
- 5:38Speaker 9: It is sometimes two different things. I'll give you an example.
- 5:42Speaker 9: I wrote this book for women, right and I was
- 5:45Speaker 9: telling them the three ways that a man shows his love,
- 5:48Speaker 9: and I call them three p's. We profess, we protect,
- 5:53Speaker 9: and we provide. Every man who is a man, that's
- 5:57Speaker 9: how he exhibits love. When I talking to Hokey comforting
- 6:01Speaker 9: with our great nurturists. But when it comes down to it,
- 6:04Speaker 9: what we all want to do, what is in our DNA,
- 6:07Speaker 9: is to profess our love for something you as a woman,
- 6:11Speaker 9: to protect you as a woman, and to provide for
- 6:13Speaker 9: you as a woman. That's in our DNA. Now, sometimes
- 6:16Speaker 9: that gets messed up, and I'll give you an example.
- 6:20Speaker 9: Sometimes when a boy doesn't have the proper, real role
- 6:23Speaker 9: model in his life, he takes that principle of love
- 6:26Speaker 9: that we all possessing us every man, the professing part,
- 6:29Speaker 9: the protecting, and the providing part, and we misplay it.
- 6:34Speaker 9: That's why gangs exist. Gangs exist off those three principles.
- 6:39Speaker 9: What's the first thing a gang member do. He professed,
- 6:42Speaker 9: he claim a hood. That's the first thing you do
- 6:45Speaker 9: this is my neighborhood. I'm deuce Trey, I'm triple hh,
- 6:49Speaker 9: I'm doop, de doop, I'm purple, I'm red, I'm blue.
- 6:52Speaker 9: The first thing they do is claim that's professing. That's
- 6:55Speaker 9: how we show our love.
- 6:56Speaker 2: But it's misguided though.
- 6:59Speaker 9: Now we profess and something that ain't even good for us.
- 7:02Speaker 9: Your hood, your gang, your click. Now guess what Now
- 7:07Speaker 9: we got to protect it. So now as a protection
- 7:11Speaker 9: part of our love.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 7:13Speaker 9: You come down here, We're gonna do this to you.
- 7:16Speaker 9: You go over there, they gonna do that to you.
- 7:19Speaker 9: You protect your hood, this your turf, this all you got.
- 7:22Speaker 9: Ain't nobody coming down here with blue on. Can't nobody
- 7:24Speaker 9: come over here with red on. You can't come over
- 7:26Speaker 9: here with purple on. You can't come over here with
- 7:27Speaker 9: black and gold on. And we and we protect that
- 7:31Speaker 9: because that's in our DNA. And then what's the third
- 7:34Speaker 9: thing we provide? So guess what the gang need money?
- 7:37Speaker 9: Guess what we do. We selling drugs, were selling women,
- 7:42Speaker 9: we're selling guns.
- 7:44Speaker 2: It go back to the same thing. Man.
- 7:46Speaker 9: I don't know how God gave it to me that
- 7:48Speaker 9: way when I was writing a book, but he showed
- 7:50Speaker 9: it to me along the way. That's how men love
- 7:52Speaker 9: well when you don't have a role model in your life.
- 7:54Speaker 9: Guess what now that love is misplaced, is misguided. It's
- 7:58Speaker 9: off track. Ain't no man and told you that, really
- 8:01Speaker 9: you're supposed to take this love and give it to
- 8:02Speaker 9: a woman. You're really supposed to profess, protect and provide
- 8:06Speaker 9: for a woman, not your gang set. Now you professing
- 8:11Speaker 9: your hood, repping the color, you protecting your territory, shooting
- 8:14Speaker 9: people driving by, coming over you on your street, and
- 8:17Speaker 9: then you provide.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Now you're out here selling drugs and guns for the
- 8:19Speaker 2: same thing.
- 8:20Speaker 9: When a boy does not have a male role model,
- 8:23Speaker 9: he has a misguided way of looking at manhood. Here's
- 8:29Speaker 9: the deal. See, God created all of us in his image.
- 8:32Speaker 9: That means He's put some of our DNA in him.
- 8:36Speaker 9: That's why it's in your DNA to profess, protect, and
- 8:39Speaker 9: provide because guess what, that's what God do for us,
- 8:43Speaker 9: because we His children. I'm just talking to me in
- 8:46Speaker 9: right now. I'm just telling you, man, I had to
- 8:49Speaker 9: wake up about five years ago. I wasn't doing what
- 8:52Speaker 9: God wanted me to do, and then he shook me.
- 8:55Speaker 9: He said, man, I'm gonna bring about some changes in
- 8:57Speaker 9: your life. I'm gonna cause some things to that's gonna
- 9:01Speaker 9: put you in a position. And this time you're gonna
- 9:03Speaker 9: listen to me, because if you don't, you're gonna keep
- 9:06Speaker 9: living in this pain you've been in. But you put
- 9:08Speaker 9: yourself in this pain. I owe no blame to no
- 9:11Speaker 9: one else but myself. Please know, I know that. And
- 9:15Speaker 9: that's how you really get to manhood. When you figure
- 9:18Speaker 9: out what you did ben done wrong. You can't blame
- 9:20Speaker 9: this on none of your exceses because you a man.
- 9:22Speaker 9: You can't go my xd this No, No, you a man, Pardner.
- 9:26Speaker 9: You got to take responsibility for yours and yours alone.
- 9:29Speaker 9: If you got kids, you got to get to them
- 9:32Speaker 9: some kind of way. Write them a letter, send them
- 9:35Speaker 9: the money. If she won't let you see it, for
- 9:37Speaker 9: the money, whatever, send the money to a mama.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Do what you're supposed to do as a man.
- 9:42Speaker 9: Do what God wants you to do, man, because he's
- 9:45Speaker 9: not letting us off the hook for what we're supposed
- 9:48Speaker 9: to be just because you ain't doing it. And if
- 9:50Speaker 9: you do it, you turn your life around. Just hollering
- 9:53Speaker 9: that to fellas today, that's all sorry.
- 9:55Speaker 10: About that you're listening. Morning show.
- 10:02Speaker 9: Ladies and gentlemen, you know, welcome again to the ride
- 10:05Speaker 9: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show today.
- 10:10Speaker 2: How can I put this to you?
- 10:12Speaker 9: I just think, Man, well, now I can't. I'm out
- 10:17Speaker 9: of ways to do it. I'm just out of ways
- 10:20Speaker 9: to do it. I can't find a new way to
- 10:22Speaker 9: tell you to be grateful. Now I know new ways
- 10:26Speaker 9: to tell you how good God is. If you don't
- 10:29Speaker 9: notice by now, you're not paying attention. If you're a
- 10:32Speaker 9: regular listener, you're already on board with it. That's why
- 10:35Speaker 9: you tune in for it. So congratulations for realizing that
- 10:39Speaker 9: God is your greatest of all time.
- 10:42Speaker 2: There's none greater.
- 10:43Speaker 9: There's no superlative or adjective that can probably give him
- 10:48Speaker 9: the dude the credit and the description of what he does.
- 10:51Speaker 9: I am simply in awe of how he manages somehow to.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Do it over and over and over again. And I
- 11:00Speaker 2: know that.
- 11:01Speaker 9: This is incredible because I don't know anybody else who
- 11:04Speaker 9: could do what he does.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Period. That's God, all right.
- 11:10Speaker 9: Charlie Strawberry Mississippi Monica Junior, and the legend that is
- 11:15Speaker 9: Nephew Tommy Jr.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Oh Well, what's going on.
- 11:21Speaker 8: Man, you know you know this, it was going good.
- 11:26Speaker 9: I can always tell y'all don't know how I can tell,
- 11:28Speaker 9: but I can always.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it was going good.
- 11:30Speaker 8: It was it was going good.
- 11:32Speaker 11: But I'm putting God to let this woman put more
- 11:36Speaker 11: pressure on me because now we have to get a dog.
- 11:41Speaker 11: And this is something I'm not looking forward to because
- 11:44Speaker 11: the type of dog I don't.
- 11:46Speaker 3: I don't want y'all gonna lose that dog.
- 11:50Speaker 8: That's part of the time. We've got no fence.
- 11:54Speaker 11: Why we need the dog, but the dog she won't.
- 11:58Speaker 2: You don't need no petty on front. Gee.
- 12:01Speaker 11: So whenlet's just get the necessary stuff, then we can
- 12:04Speaker 11: worry about the dog.
- 12:05Speaker 8: But she wanted your wall. I'm gonna be responsible for
- 12:08Speaker 8: the dog because you go to work. I work my home.
- 12:10Speaker 11: So when you leave, I got the dog. I don't
- 12:12Speaker 11: want no dog that ain't tough. Me and the dog
- 12:15Speaker 11: can't have the same voice. That's one thing that's first
- 12:18Speaker 11: of all, that's out because you don't know if.
- 12:23Speaker 2: The criminal in the laughing.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Hey, hey man, hey, why I am here?
- 12:37Speaker 10: Get out?
- 12:38Speaker 12: Get out?
- 12:38Speaker 2: I call the ponice.
- 12:43Speaker 9: That's what that sounded like, by junior. If you get
- 12:46Speaker 9: the dog without the fence. Just put him in the backyard.
- 12:49Speaker 9: He gonna be gone.
- 12:50Speaker 8: I ain't thinking about that.
- 12:52Speaker 11: I didn't know dogs cause the dog cost fifteen, one
- 12:55Speaker 11: hundred dollars up fifteen.
- 12:58Speaker 9: That's no go down to the shelter. Oh yeah, so
- 13:04Speaker 9: get one from the shelters. They give away dogs they
- 13:06Speaker 9: fin to put to sleep. Save way the dogs lives.

- 16:28Speaker 6: Well, do you have a problem with white people? No?
- 16:31Speaker 5: No, No, I don't have a sound white people.

- 16:42Speaker 5: we we have a problem.
- 16:44Speaker 15: I mean, I'm bothering me while on that work.
- 16:46Speaker 6: What's your problem?
- 16:48Speaker 5: Okay? Well my problem is this is that, you know,
- 16:51Speaker 5: after purchasing the property, I went downtown to the city
- 16:54Speaker 5: and actually looked at, you know, the the layout of
- 16:58Speaker 5: this entire property. And when I look at it, you
- 17:00Speaker 5: actually twenty five close to thirty feet over the property.
- 17:04Speaker 6: Last Oh no, you look at the wrong map.
- 17:07Speaker 5: No, no, the fifth that separates my backyard from your backyard.
- 17:11Speaker 5: You are thirty feet over that.
- 17:13Speaker 15: That's impossible, you know. No, listen, and I know it is.
- 17:16Speaker 6: Let me.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Let me let me tell you, uh, look at you
- 17:19Speaker 5: got a jakuzie in.
- 17:20Speaker 6: Your backyard, right, So you've been given spying on me.
- 17:23Speaker 5: No, I haven't been spying on you, sir. I'm just
- 17:25Speaker 5: telling you closer that not far from that frist line don't.
- 17:29Speaker 5: Don't you have a jakouzie there?
- 17:30Speaker 6: Well, as a matter of fact, I do, yes.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Okay, So now the pool is the pool is okay,
- 17:36Speaker 5: But what if I if I pushed that fence line
- 17:38Speaker 5: back thirty it actually get the property that I'm supposed.
- 17:41Speaker 6: To have I pretty much own.
- 17:43Speaker 15: Yo, Yo, you'll yo jakouzi, you'll hot to Dansi.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Okay, let me tell you something.
- 17:48Speaker 15: I've been in that house for ten years.
- 17:50Speaker 14: We put that fence up when we moved in, and
- 17:53Speaker 14: it was based on the property line that was that
- 17:56Speaker 14: was the set.
- 17:57Speaker 6: When ten years ago.
- 17:58Speaker 15: I don't know what you're looking an app but my
- 18:01Speaker 15: fense is not moving.

- 36:05Speaker 13: childhood cancer was considered largely incurable. Since then, Saint Jude
- 36:11Speaker 13: has helped push the overall survival rate from twenty percent
- 36:14Speaker 13: to more than eighty percent. And Saint Jude won't stop

- 47:17Speaker 3: think that you have a problem. I think that there's
- 47:19Speaker 3: something that you deliberately did in one of our stores.
- 47:23Speaker 12: I could cure less of that. What you think what
- 47:27Speaker 12: happened was that was on the floor. I feel I'm

- 47:49Speaker 3: Look, ma'am, I don't care if you come down or
- 47:51Speaker 3: I have to come down and haul your sin, because

- 47:56Speaker 3: that deliberately laid down in the floor and act like something.
- 47:58Speaker 12: Was wrong with them and mine deliberately done. How exactly
- 48:05Speaker 12: it was. Witnesses, you need to talk to them.

- 48:54Speaker 2: to do. Now.

- 54:48Speaker 3: We got it for you. Here it is strawberry letter.
- 54:51Speaker 13: All right, nephew, thank you subject. Can you please stop
- 54:57Speaker 13: touching me? Dear Stephen Shirley. I met a man and
- 55:01Speaker 13: fell in love. I'm forty five and he's fifty five.
- 55:05Speaker 13: I didn't like him at first, but he wore me
- 55:07Speaker 13: down and stole my heart. I have to weigh the
- 55:10Speaker 13: pros with the cons all the time because he is
- 55:13Speaker 13: very annoying. He's been very handy from the beginning of
- 55:17Speaker 13: our relationship. We went on a blind date and I
- 55:20Speaker 13: was very nervous because he's older. He reached across the
- 55:23Speaker 13: table and grabbed my wrist and told me that he
- 55:25Speaker 13: could feel my heart racing by the pulse in my wrist.
- 55:29Speaker 13: I wanted to snatch my hand from his because he
- 55:32Speaker 13: was being too familiar.
- 55:33Speaker 1: He walked me.
- 55:34Speaker 13: To my car and he had his hand in the
- 55:36Speaker 13: small of my back. He leaned over in my car
- 55:39Speaker 13: and rubbed the side of my face and said, I
- 55:42Speaker 13: have pretty.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Skin on down the line.
- 55:45Speaker 13: I let him know politely that he doesn't need to
- 55:48Speaker 13: touch me while we are having a conversation. He said
- 55:51Speaker 13: he's very affectionate and asked if it was a problem.
- 55:54Speaker 13: I lied and said that it wasn't. He's gotten worse
- 55:58Speaker 13: since we started having sex. He can't sleep without snuggling
- 56:02Speaker 13: up on me. If I squirm away, he'll reach across
- 56:05Speaker 13: and place his hand on my hip. He wakes me
- 56:08Speaker 13: up by gently holding my face in his hands and
- 56:11Speaker 13: kissing me softly. He even holds my hand while we're
- 56:15Speaker 13: having coffee or tea in the morning. He holds my
- 56:18Speaker 13: hand while he drives. I either have to cuddle with
- 56:21Speaker 13: him while watching movies, or I have to put my
- 56:24Speaker 13: legs across him, or vice versa. He massages my neck
- 56:28Speaker 13: and my scalp. I am so tired of his hands
- 56:32Speaker 13: being on me. We hold hands in public and even
- 56:35Speaker 13: at church. Some women love this, but I do not have.
- 56:40Speaker 13: I let it go for too long to complain. How
- 56:42Speaker 13: do I stop him. You're not going to change him.
- 56:46Speaker 13: You're not going to change him. This is what he's doing,
- 56:49Speaker 13: and he's this is him, Okay, this is who he is.
- 56:53Speaker 13: It sounds like a case of you love him, but
- 56:55Speaker 13: you don't like him very much. You said he was annoying,
- 56:59Speaker 13: and you are quite different from a lot of women
- 57:01Speaker 13: because most women want just what you're getting from a
- 57:04Speaker 13: man you say you're in love with, who loves you
- 57:06Speaker 13: too and doesn't mind showing you. Don't you know that
- 57:09Speaker 13: This is what people do when they're in love. They
- 57:12Speaker 13: touch okay, they cuddled, They do things like this. Why
- 57:15Speaker 13: would you tell him that all the touching wasn't a
- 57:18Speaker 13: problem when he asked you? He asked you outright. You
- 57:21Speaker 13: admit it that you lied to him. You should have
- 57:24Speaker 13: told him the truth right then and there. You're not
- 57:27Speaker 13: a touchy feely type of person, so please stop. Now
- 57:31Speaker 13: you're stuck in this relationship with what this good man
- 57:34Speaker 13: who sounds like a perfect gentleman, a man who loves you,
- 57:36Speaker 13: He's romantic, he wants to be with you. It could
- 57:39Speaker 13: be a lot worse. I mean, you cannot change him.
- 57:42Speaker 13: That's who he is. And this is a man in
- 57:44Speaker 13: your life. You really have nothing to complain about. But
- 57:47Speaker 13: you have found something.
- 57:49Speaker 1: Listen. If you don't like it, you gotta tell him.
- 57:51Speaker 1: You gotta let him go.
- 57:52Speaker 13: There are so many women who would love to have
- 57:54Speaker 13: him and all the touching and cuddling he can give.
- 57:57Speaker 9: Steve, can you please stop touching me? Show damn hands
- 58:04Speaker 9: off of me. You make me sick.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't like it.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Too much.
- 58:12Speaker 9: I understand the letter. You don't normally I go, what's
- 58:15Speaker 9: what you're tripping for? But no, you too much. You
- 58:19Speaker 9: met him man, but let me I'm goncha point out
- 58:22Speaker 9: this letter met hi man glove. I'm forty five, he
- 58:26Speaker 9: fifty five. I didn't like him at first, right there, stop.
- 58:32Speaker 9: I didn't like him at first. How many times should
- 58:36Speaker 9: you have followed your first mind? I ain't like him
- 58:39Speaker 9: at first, but he wore me down. This a lesson
- 58:42Speaker 9: to the fellas. Keep applying pressure and wheel break eventually. See,
- 58:49Speaker 9: there's a lesson in this letter for everybody. Follow your
- 58:52Speaker 9: first mind. Ladies wag him down, fellas, they'll eventually break.
- 58:57Speaker 2: And he stole your heart.
- 59:00Speaker 9: I have to weigh the pros and cons all the time,
- 59:03Speaker 9: because here's another one.
- 59:05Speaker 2: He is very annoying. I don't know about.
- 59:09Speaker 9: You, but I don't like me any relationship with people
- 59:12Speaker 9: that's annoying. That's gonna be a relation full of that's
- 59:16Speaker 9: gonna be a relationship full of You own my damn nerves.
- 59:21Speaker 9: But she went on and jumped in anyway. She ain't
- 59:25Speaker 9: like him at first, and he's annoying.
- 59:30Speaker 2: He stole my heart. You stupid.
- 59:33Speaker 9: This is a stupid person. He's very handsy from the beginning.
- 59:38Speaker 9: Went on a blind date. I was very nervous because
- 59:41Speaker 9: he's older. He reached across the table and grabbed my
- 59:44Speaker 9: wrists and told me he could feel my heart racing
- 59:46Speaker 9: through the pulse in my wrists. He was really checking
- 59:49Speaker 9: your blood pressure.
- 59:50Speaker 2: That what that is.
- 59:51Speaker 9: That's what old people do. They know how to check
- 59:53Speaker 9: your blood pressure. His old lass and had his blood
- 59:57Speaker 9: pressure checked so many times now, he said to be
- 59:59Speaker 9: talking about he can feel your heart racing.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: That's blood pressure. Boy.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: I want to teach you my hand.
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: Because he was being too familiar. When I come back,
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: all I'm gonna do is read you the letter and
- 1:00:12Speaker 9: tell you what's wrong.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: That's all.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: I'm all right, thank you.
- 1:00:14Speaker 13: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:00:17Speaker 13: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter subject,
- 1:00:20Speaker 13: can you please stop touching me?
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Back after this you're listening hard morning show.
- 1:00:27Speaker 13: All right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:30Speaker 13: The subject is, can you please stop touching me?
- 1:00:33Speaker 9: Can you please stop touching me? I'm gonna show you
- 1:00:35Speaker 9: the This is a letter full of contradictions, and all
- 1:00:39Speaker 9: I'm gonna do is show you the contradictions. I met
- 1:00:41Speaker 9: a man and fell in love. He's forty five, I'm
- 1:00:44Speaker 9: fifty five. I ain't like him at first. Well, okay,
- 1:00:47Speaker 9: there you go. What I tell you, always follow your
- 1:00:49Speaker 9: first mind. But he wore me down and stole my heart.
- 1:00:53Speaker 9: This is a message to the fellas. Keep the pressure on.
- 1:00:56Speaker 9: You will soon break them. They can under pressure. I
- 1:01:02Speaker 9: have to wait the pros and cons all the time
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: because he is very annoying. Let me get this right.
- 1:01:08Speaker 9: You didn't like him at first. He wore you down,
- 1:01:12Speaker 9: but he's very annoying. I don't know about you, but
- 1:01:15Speaker 9: I don't like being the relationships with people that's annoying
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: as hell, because this is finna be a relationship full
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: of you own my damn nerves. And guess what happened
- 1:01:23Speaker 9: watch this letter. He's been very handsy from the beginning.
- 1:01:27Speaker 9: Went on a blind date. I was nervous because he's older.
- 1:01:31Speaker 9: He reached across the table and grabbed my wrists and
- 1:01:33Speaker 9: told me he could feel my heart racing by the
- 1:01:35Speaker 9: pulse in my wrist. That's a damn lie. He was
- 1:01:39Speaker 9: checking your blood pressure. All people like to know if
- 1:01:42Speaker 9: they got something in common with the other person. He
- 1:01:44Speaker 9: was trying to see if you had high blood too,
- 1:01:47Speaker 9: then y'all can get y'all prescription. It might get a
- 1:01:49Speaker 9: discount down to CVS because they got family discount.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: At Walmart if you got a lot of pills.
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: He was just checking to see if he be able
- 1:01:56Speaker 9: to save some money, but hoping your ass had high
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: blood pressure.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: So that's old people move.
- 1:02:01Speaker 9: I ain't never in my life grabbed a woman's wrists
- 1:02:03Speaker 9: and said, I could feel your heart racing.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: That's on her chest.
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: If you grab her wrists checking for they pulse, that's
- 1:02:11Speaker 9: blood pressure or.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: Signs of life.
- 1:02:15Speaker 9: I wanted to snatch my hand hand from him because
- 1:02:18Speaker 9: he was being too familiar. Then he walked you to
- 1:02:20Speaker 9: your car, and he had his hand in the small
- 1:02:22Speaker 9: of my back. Okay, we do that. He leaned over
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: in my car and rubbed the side of my face
- 1:02:28Speaker 9: and said, I have pretty skill.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Now get your damn hands off my face.
- 1:02:31Speaker 9: I just met you, you know, as old ass went
- 1:02:34Speaker 9: to the bathroom before y'all went to the car because
- 1:02:37Speaker 9: it got a weak blinder. So he can't be walking in. Nope,
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: go to the bathroom now here. They got a hand
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: on your face on down the line. I let him
- 1:02:46Speaker 9: know politely that he doesn't have to touch me while
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: we are having a conversation. He said he's very affectionate
- 1:02:54Speaker 9: and asked if it was a problem. I lied and
- 1:02:58Speaker 9: said it wasn't. See now, this is the wrong lie. Okay,
- 1:03:05Speaker 9: there's a time and place for line. This was a
- 1:03:10Speaker 9: wrong lie. Wow, this was a lie that served you
- 1:03:14Speaker 9: no purpose. It only benefited him and furthered his aggression.
- 1:03:20Speaker 9: He's gotten worse because you lie, and you don't even
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: know how to lie, because you put.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: The line in the wrong place and the wrong damn
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: the wrong lie.
- 1:03:32Speaker 9: He's gotten worse since we started having sex. He can't
- 1:03:36Speaker 9: sleep without snuggling up on me. Man, it's hot. Your
- 1:03:40Speaker 9: ass off of me. If I squirm away, he'll reach
- 1:03:43Speaker 9: across and place his hand on my hip. Now check
- 1:03:48Speaker 9: this out. He wakes me up by gently holding my
- 1:03:51Speaker 9: face in his hands and kissing me softly. That's movie
- 1:03:56Speaker 9: kissing right there, lady. He saw that in a movie somewhere.
- 1:03:59Speaker 9: Don't nobody every damn morning hold the woman face in
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: they hand and kiss them softly.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: What cap punk ass, missus.
- 1:04:08Speaker 9: Dayton, because you can't sustain that every damn morning, gently
- 1:04:13Speaker 9: holding your cheeks in my head, kissing you good morning,
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: dolly Man. Stop all the old movie Yet he wakes
- 1:04:20Speaker 9: me up by gently holding my face in his hands.
- 1:04:23Speaker 9: He even holds my hands while we having coffee or
- 1:04:25Speaker 9: tea in the morning. I got to hold his coffee cup.
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: Let me go, damn we at Starbucks. I got the
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: grand latte. I need both hands. He holds my hand
- 1:04:39Speaker 9: while he drives. Your old ass, get two hands on
- 1:04:42Speaker 9: the wheel before you mess around, half a seizure and
- 1:04:44Speaker 9: run us up into the back of this garbage truck. See,
- 1:04:47Speaker 9: I just see all this stuff happening. We got a
- 1:04:50Speaker 9: cuddle with him while we watching movies. I had to
- 1:04:53Speaker 9: put my legs across him, or vice versa. He massages
- 1:04:56Speaker 9: my neck and my scalp. You're not finna do my
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: scalp now.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: All the day you.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Finish.
- 1:05:04Speaker 9: Get your fingers. I topped my head. Just rub my
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: head and stuff. I ain't four years old. Get your
- 1:05:09Speaker 9: damn hands. I am so tired of his hands being
- 1:05:15Speaker 9: on me. We hold hands in public and even at church.
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: Why we hold the hands in church. I got to pray.
- 1:05:26Speaker 9: I need both my hands because I'm gonna go to
- 1:05:29Speaker 9: Capitol start going to Catholic church where they put their
- 1:05:31Speaker 9: hands together and hold them up under their chin. So
- 1:05:34Speaker 9: I'm gonna eave both my hands. Some women love this,
- 1:05:39Speaker 9: but I do not. I let it go on for
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: too long to complain. How do I stop him?
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: You can't, You can't.
- 1:05:48Speaker 9: It's too late. But this is your fault. You ain't
- 1:05:51Speaker 9: even like him in the beginning. What made you start liking?
- 1:05:55Speaker 9: Then you said you gotta do the pros and cons
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: all the time because he's annoying you with a man
- 1:06:00Speaker 9: you don't like and is annoying.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: And now guess what he doing. He annoying your ass.
- 1:06:07Speaker 9: Touchy touchy, touchy, touchy touchy. So now the only way
- 1:06:11Speaker 9: I think you can do this is you gonna have
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: to make an announcement.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: An announcement, Steve, Yeah, what.
- 1:06:23Speaker 9: If you put your hands on me again? We are
- 1:06:27Speaker 9: done having sex? Wow, that's all. I don't want to
- 1:06:35Speaker 9: hold your hand when we driving. I want to hold
- 1:06:38Speaker 9: my coffee cup. I don't want to hold your hand
- 1:06:40Speaker 9: while I'm having cup. I want both hands. I like
- 1:06:42Speaker 9: to drink my coffee sometimes you know, and feel the
- 1:06:45Speaker 9: warmth of the cup. Sometimes I like two hairs on
- 1:06:47Speaker 9: the cup. It just gives me the listen. Sometimes I
- 1:06:49Speaker 9: hold my coffee cup with two hands like I'm doing
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: right now. I ain't never seen because I don't really
- 1:06:55Speaker 9: do that. I'm just lying and I don't hold my
- 1:06:59Speaker 9: cook with my other hand. But women do it all
- 1:07:02Speaker 9: the time. Missing Monica, I'll leave.

- 1:07:18Speaker 1: after this.
- 1:07:20Speaker 10: You're listening morning show.
- 1:07:24Speaker 13: All right, So Junior, you and I had the privilege
- 1:07:27Speaker 13: and the honor, uh to just visit Saint Jude and
- 1:07:30Speaker 13: see what they're all about and see how they're helping
- 1:07:32Speaker 13: these children with cancer.
- 1:07:33Speaker 10: It was a phenomen You.
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: Know, everything Nagin Shirley is for sickle seale.
- 1:07:37Speaker 11: And I'm telling you one of the first grants Saint
- 1:07:40Speaker 11: Jude had received from the government was to cure sickle cell.
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: That was their first.
- 1:07:45Speaker 11: Grant before cancer. And you know, one of the one
- 1:07:47Speaker 11: of the greatest things about it, there's no bill. Now
- 1:07:50Speaker 11: how come I couldn't be over hit Saint Jude. I
- 1:07:53Speaker 11: wish I was over there because no bill, and they
- 1:07:56Speaker 11: take care of you all the way to you eighteen,
- 1:07:59Speaker 11: you don't have any ide. Had Saint Jude, I'd have
- 1:08:01Speaker 11: been a spokesperson a long time ago if I could.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: But they have.
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: But I had the great privilege of talking to a
- 1:08:05Speaker 8: young man named Chris.
- 1:08:07Speaker 11: He had two daughters who had sickle cells, and Saint
- 1:08:10Speaker 11: Jude took care of both.
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: Of his kids. And here's a great thing about it,
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: because of what they did. He had no bill. He
- 1:08:16Speaker 8: works for them today. He worked in a research lab

- 1:11:09Speaker 10: You're listening Morning.
- 1:11:12Speaker 13: Show, all right, So Steve, this is from Quinn in Norfolk.
- 1:11:16Speaker 13: Quinn says, I was sitting in my car smoking weed
- 1:11:20Speaker 13: with a guy from work. My husband found a small
- 1:11:23Speaker 13: part of the joint in my car that evening after
- 1:11:25Speaker 13: he filled up my tank for me. He told me
- 1:11:28Speaker 13: that he found the weed in my car, and he
- 1:11:30Speaker 13: was very upset with our teenage son after assuming it
- 1:11:33Speaker 13: was our son's weed. He yelled at our son, but
- 1:11:36Speaker 13: he kept denying it that it was his. He kept
- 1:11:39Speaker 13: denying that it was his, And I can't allow my
- 1:11:41Speaker 13: son to be punished from my mistake. How do I
- 1:11:43Speaker 13: tell my husband that I picked up a new habit
- 1:11:46Speaker 13: at the age of forty five.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: Well, let me tell you something. How stupid is your husband?
- 1:11:52Speaker 9: Your wife smoked weed. You can't smell it in her clothes.
- 1:11:55Speaker 9: She in the car, Oh body at work smoking weed
- 1:12:01Speaker 9: with a dude. Now, I don't know where you think
- 1:12:03Speaker 9: this weed smoking going, but it's low to weed smoking.
- 1:12:07Speaker 9: But you're in the car smoking weed, and the people
- 1:12:09Speaker 9: at the job don't know it, and your husband don't
- 1:12:13Speaker 9: know it. But now when you tell it, here's a
- 1:12:16Speaker 9: strong suggestion you leave the part out about you was
- 1:12:21Speaker 9: in the car with your male co worker smoking weed.
- 1:12:25Speaker 9: I strongly suggest you leave that part out because I
- 1:12:28Speaker 9: can promise you it ain't finna be about to weed, no.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: Him at all.
- 1:12:33Speaker 9: Okay, that's just a suggestion. And you can't let your
- 1:12:37Speaker 9: son take the hit for this duck. You gotta say it. Well,
- 1:12:42Speaker 9: but she gotta go straighten that out.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Yeah, how's she gonna do that? Though, because he's here already, Listen.
- 1:12:48Speaker 9: To me, it wasn't him. I was smoking weed in
- 1:12:49Speaker 9: the car. He can't whip you, he can't put your
- 1:12:51Speaker 9: on finishment. Just tell him I was smoking weed in
- 1:12:54Speaker 9: the car. Is having long hands? Then I smoked weed?
- 1:12:57Speaker 9: Then tell him you gotta plug and give him the number.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Did you say?
- 1:13:05Speaker 8: Did you say you.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: Know herminology? You know what I'm saying. Oh, smoke weed
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: and everybody no do?
- 1:13:20Speaker 13: All right, So we have time for another one. This
- 1:13:22Speaker 13: one's from Lawrence and Dothan H.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Laurence says, I consider myself.
- 1:13:26Speaker 13: A decent looking man, but I lost my girlfriend to
- 1:13:30Speaker 13: a guy with the receding hairline and a big stomach.
- 1:13:33Speaker 13: He looked like he looks like he's in the sixties,
- 1:13:36Speaker 13: and he doesn't have a great job or a nice car.
- 1:13:39Speaker 13: I'm the total package, and I can get another woman
- 1:13:41Speaker 13: today if I wanted one.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: But I want her.
- 1:13:45Speaker 13: I want my girlfriend back, and I don't know why
- 1:13:47Speaker 13: she left me for that guy. All she told me
- 1:13:50Speaker 13: is that we're not compatible. How can a man do
- 1:13:52Speaker 13: that to another man? Should I check him or not her?
- 1:13:58Speaker 9: First of all, you need to we need to go
- 1:14:00Speaker 9: back read the opening statement you said.
- 1:14:03Speaker 13: Should Okay, I consider myself a decent looking man.

- 1:23:45Speaker 9: approaching Listen. I understand the significance of Father's Day. I
- 1:23:51Speaker 9: understand that it will always and forever pale in comparison
- 1:23:55Speaker 9: to Mother's Day.
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: And I got it and deservedly.
- 1:23:59Speaker 5: So.
- 1:24:00Speaker 9: There is nothing like a mother. They come one, you
- 1:24:06Speaker 9: get one, you get one.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: Mother.
- 1:24:09Speaker 9: Mother's a special. Every mother has provided life to someone
- 1:24:15Speaker 9: on this planet. So I get that Father's Day isn't
- 1:24:19Speaker 9: the size of Mother's Day. But I want to take
- 1:24:22Speaker 9: some time out to talk to the dad's out there
- 1:24:27Speaker 9: and the father's. If you have fathered a child, it
- 1:24:33Speaker 9: is your duty, your moral obligation, and should be your
- 1:24:39Speaker 9: honor to support, nurture and provide for that child. It's
- 1:24:43Speaker 9: your job. You are not forgiven because you fell on
- 1:24:49Speaker 9: hard times. You are not forgiven because it didn't work
- 1:24:53Speaker 9: out between you and the woman. You are not forgiven
- 1:24:56Speaker 9: because she's making it difficult for you to get there.
- 1:25:00Speaker 9: You don't get forgiven for that. I know, I know,
- 1:25:04Speaker 9: I know. You can't use that one. You have got
- 1:25:07Speaker 9: to get to that child some way. That's your job.
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:25:12Speaker 9: For the dads out there who are doing their duty
- 1:25:16Speaker 9: as fathers, thank you. Your role in the child's life
- 1:25:20Speaker 9: is so very important. I got two hundred and fifty
- 1:25:24Speaker 9: boys on my ranch right now. We were talking about
- 1:25:28Speaker 9: being fathers the last night. Last night when they got
- 1:25:32Speaker 9: here and they were just sitting there, their room was
- 1:25:35Speaker 9: pindrop quiet because they are all missing that man and
- 1:25:40Speaker 9: they are all longing and yearning for him. Because these
- 1:25:44Speaker 9: boys had a point in their life, man, where they
- 1:25:46Speaker 9: need a male role model. They need some guidance. They
- 1:25:49Speaker 9: got so many questions that their mama can't answer. So
- 1:25:52Speaker 9: for you men out there, that's being dads. That's showing
- 1:25:55Speaker 9: up at school functions, that's paying your child support, that's
- 1:26:00Speaker 9: picking your child up, that's calling them, that's writing them
- 1:26:04Speaker 9: letters from your jail cells, wherever you are. If you
- 1:26:07Speaker 9: are doing all that you can and the best you can,
- 1:26:11Speaker 9: thank you man. Keep doing what you're doing. If you're
- 1:26:15Speaker 9: sitting in jail and you can write a letter to
- 1:26:16Speaker 9: your child and tell them, don't make them same mistakes
- 1:26:19Speaker 9: you made and that's the best you got, then do
- 1:26:21Speaker 9: the best you can and they appreciate it. If you
- 1:26:25Speaker 9: live in a long relationship and you can get on
- 1:26:27Speaker 9: that phone at least three times a week and talk
- 1:26:29Speaker 9: to your child, then't do that, man, And look, long
- 1:26:33Speaker 9: distance don't cost money no more.
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: It's the same phone call. Call your children. Be active.
- 1:26:39Speaker 9: For those of you that are. Thank you man. You
- 1:26:42Speaker 9: have no idea to impact you're having on this child's life.
- 1:26:45Speaker 9: Because you are creating memories for them. You're creating stories
- 1:26:48Speaker 9: for them to tell. But the most valuable thing is
- 1:26:51Speaker 9: you're creating lessons for them to hold on to. I
- 1:26:55Speaker 9: can't tell you how many times I've remembered something my
- 1:26:57Speaker 9: father said to me, and even though I was young
- 1:26:59Speaker 9: at the time, I didn't quite get it. I can't
- 1:27:01Speaker 9: tell you how many times I played it back in
- 1:27:03Speaker 9: my head and I discovered it was one of the
- 1:27:06Speaker 9: most brilliant men. I ever knew with one of his.
- 1:27:08Speaker 9: He had a third grade education, man, but that was it.
- 1:27:11Speaker 9: This dude right here had a hustle and a grind,
- 1:27:15Speaker 9: and he taught it to me.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: He has some real strong philosophies. Man.
- 1:27:20Speaker 9: But I really, really thank God for having a father
- 1:27:22Speaker 9: in my life who was my dad. For all of
- 1:27:26Speaker 9: you men in that have stepped into a woman's life
- 1:27:28Speaker 9: and played the role of dad, For those fathers who
- 1:27:31Speaker 9: have walked away from their responsibility. Hands off to you, man,
- 1:27:35Speaker 9: hands up, hand clapped. They'll have a special day for stepfathers.
- 1:27:40Speaker 9: I don't even call them stepfathers. I just call them
- 1:27:42Speaker 9: dads who then stepped into a woman's life and filled
- 1:27:45Speaker 9: the role of some man that then walked off and
- 1:27:47Speaker 9: ignored those children. Thank you, man, for standing up, for
- 1:27:51Speaker 9: showing up, for being important, for being significant to all
- 1:27:55Speaker 9: your fathers out there. I know it's like being a
- 1:27:58Speaker 9: I don't know what it is to be. But single
- 1:28:01Speaker 9: mothers are having your heart out here, and it's such
- 1:28:03Speaker 9: a thankless job. But Dad just don't get us near
- 1:28:06Speaker 9: enough credit. They just don't. And on his Father's Day,
- 1:28:10Speaker 9: I want to give you some appreciate you man, because
- 1:28:14Speaker 9: you're doing what you're supposed to do. I really appreciate
- 1:28:17Speaker 9: those that took on the duty because you realize it
- 1:28:20Speaker 9: is your duty and your obligation, but it's also your honor.
- 1:28:24Speaker 9: It is my honor to be your father, and I
- 1:28:27Speaker 9: will hold on to that as long as God keep
- 1:28:29Speaker 9: me here. Happy Fathers Day, Brothers, keep on doing what
- 1:28:32Speaker 9: you're doing, and if you haven't talked to your child
- 1:28:34Speaker 9: in a while, pick up the phone and make make amends.
- 1:28:38Speaker 9: Start apologizing, be the bigger man, have a relationship with
- 1:28:41Speaker 9: your child. Those are my closing remarks today. Y'all have
- 1:28:44Speaker 9: a good one.
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: Okay. Talk to God. He loved to hear from you.
