- 0:59Speaker 1: has been inspired to write another book. That's what we'll
- 1:01Speaker 1: be discussing on the show today. Entitled Unbreakable, a Survivor's Testimony.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Please welcome to Money Making Conversation Masterclass. Teresa Edwards. How
- 1:14Speaker 1: you doing, Teresa?
- 1:16Speaker 2: I'm good, I'm good. How are you doing well?
- 1:18Speaker 1: I'm glad you came with that energy because I said
- 1:20Speaker 1: you was a dynamic presence and a motivational speaker. If
- 1:24Speaker 1: you the king on this call? How you doing there?
- 1:28Speaker 1: I just hung up on you, Teresa. I hung up
- 1:31Speaker 1: on you because I've introduced people like that and it's
- 1:36Speaker 1: been a snore. But you're not that person. Tell me
- 1:38Speaker 1: about your personalt a little bit, Teresa, before we get
- 1:40Speaker 1: involved with the interview.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I had old a mentor said I have one of
- 1:46Speaker 2: those inviting personalities. Use me as a beard to go
- 1:50Speaker 2: because he's one of those that don't like to talk.
- 1:52Speaker 2: But he's like, I can. You know, everybody tend to
- 1:55Speaker 2: talk to me. So I just believe in nobody's a
- 1:59Speaker 2: stranger until you make your stuff a stranger.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Right. That's very true. You know, I never said that
- 2:07Speaker 1: people gravitate to me, not that I try to pursue
- 2:12Speaker 1: that opportunity. I know people start walking in the room,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I feel a room. I've heard that about me. I've
- 2:17Speaker 1: walked in the room and if something's wrong, I pointed out,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I've heard that about me. As far as motivation, I
- 2:25Speaker 1: think that my personality leans to the point that if
- 2:28Speaker 1: I see something about you that I feel you should know,
- 2:31Speaker 1: I will tell you whether you want to hear it
- 2:33Speaker 1: or not. Is that your personality?
- 2:35Speaker 2: The reason I try to because because I've been known
- 2:42Speaker 2: to like, hey, because I'm straightforward, so you know, I
- 2:46Speaker 2: you know, people say that must be that military. It's
- 2:48Speaker 2: like I pretty much been like that. But it depends
- 2:52Speaker 2: because not everybody can handle your truth. So I wait
- 2:57Speaker 2: and see and fill them out, you know, and then
- 3:00Speaker 2: if they're open to feedback, then I give it to them.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Other than that, as just let them be because sometimes
- 3:05Speaker 2: it's comical just to watch people in their own elements.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Because now your name of your business is terror Dome,
- 3:14Speaker 1: Terror Dome Entertainment. Yes, it's terror now, that's terror scared.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I'm fearful of something Terror Dome Entertainment.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Now it's a play on words because we want to
- 3:27Speaker 2: take the fear out of your dreaming. Amazing reality.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. I love There's a
- 3:34Speaker 1: story behind everything, and that's your story, is that you're
- 3:37Speaker 1: trying to let them know. You come over here, we
- 3:39Speaker 1: get to get fear out of your dream. We'll make
- 3:40Speaker 1: it happen for you.
- 3:42Speaker 2: We'll make it happen for you.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Now, why did you get into entertainment? Because a lot
- 3:46Speaker 1: of people want to know. People always ask me, Teresa,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I want to be an actor. I want to produce television.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I want to be a I want to be the next,
- 3:55Speaker 1: next next, I want to be Whitney Houston. How did
- 3:58Speaker 1: you get in entertainment?
- 4:01Speaker 2: I've always been that kid that just because I'm the
- 4:04Speaker 2: only child for from my mom, and TV was always
- 4:08Speaker 2: my best friend. So I can sit there and watch TV.
- 4:11Speaker 2: You know, you know, I'm seasoned, so I remember some
- 4:15Speaker 2: of them black and white movie.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Oh it was that code word for oh see. I
- 4:21Speaker 1: ain't got no fun telling people that. When I was born,
- 4:24Speaker 1: they were still doing rotary down telephone. I'm just gonna
- 4:26Speaker 1: let you know it took all day to die nine
- 4:28Speaker 1: one one. I'm just telling you right now.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Don't let you don't don't mess up.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and then you mess up, you gotta start
- 4:40Speaker 1: all over.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Again, start all over again. And I was like, oh
- 4:44Speaker 2: my goodness, but.
- 4:46Speaker 1: You know, but that's that's the part of life. You know,
- 4:48Speaker 1: the experiences, and so as you as your your second
- 4:52Speaker 1: book is talking about Unbreakable or survivor's testimony. And this book,
- 4:57Speaker 1: Ladies and Gentlemen, is a powerful collection no personal stories
- 5:01Speaker 1: and journey from trauma to triumph. And that's important because
- 5:07Speaker 1: we get so caught up in the dark side and
- 5:09Speaker 1: sometimes we can't get to the light. And so why
- 5:13Speaker 1: is it a person and terror dome entertainment? You've been
- 5:19Speaker 1: in the military. How many years were you in the military,
- 5:21Speaker 1: Teresa Edward year twenty one years now? Thank you for
- 5:26Speaker 1: your service. First of all, why did you go in
- 5:30Speaker 1: the military Because you have this outward personality and you're
- 5:33Speaker 1: going into a place where can control your personality. That's
- 5:37Speaker 1: what the military say. They want you to serve this
- 5:40Speaker 1: particular way. Did it for twenty one years? Obviously it
- 5:43Speaker 1: didn't impact your personality, But what did it do to
- 5:47Speaker 1: assist and grow you as a person?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Well? I wasn't always like this, I believe in ornight
- 5:53Speaker 2: and my mom made me go into the military because
- 5:56Speaker 2: she went into the military on the reserve side Air Force. Like,
- 6:00Speaker 2: you got a choice either gonna go to school, you
- 6:02Speaker 2: donna get a regular job, or you're gonna go into
- 6:03Speaker 2: the military. And I was time to school, so and
- 6:07Speaker 2: I was ready to go. So she said air force only,
- 6:11Speaker 2: so I decided going to Air Force. But at that
- 6:14Speaker 2: time I was still processing through my own trauma. It
- 6:18Speaker 2: just it just hooks some years to get here where
- 6:21Speaker 2: I'm on the other side.
- 6:22Speaker 1: When you say processing through your own trauma, talk about that,
- 6:25Speaker 1: because that's what this interview is about, going from trauma
- 6:28Speaker 1: to triumph.
- 6:30Speaker 2: So I am a survivor of child rape, been through sexual,
- 6:35Speaker 2: mental and physical abuse, and you know, so going into
- 6:39Speaker 2: the military that hollered and screaming. That's what my stepfather did.
- 6:43Speaker 2: So that was enoughing And I was like, this ain't
- 6:45Speaker 2: nothing because he used to tell out the house and
- 6:47Speaker 2: I had to go and clean it up. And so
- 6:49Speaker 2: the base of training wasn't nothing to me based on
- 6:53Speaker 2: where I came from. So and I just needed I
- 6:57Speaker 2: was wanting to escape, to able to escape for me
- 7:03Speaker 2: because you you just said some powerful things on my show,
- 7:07Speaker 2: and it's about my show.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I deal with mental health. I deal with motivation. I
- 7:12Speaker 1: deal with people overcoming the odds. I deal with people
- 7:15Speaker 1: looking in the mirror and realizing that one day I
- 7:18Speaker 1: have to tell my truth. At what point in this
- 7:21Speaker 1: conversation that you had with yourself that you told somebody
- 7:27Speaker 1: what had been happening in your life and it directed
- 7:29Speaker 1: you to some support groups that can make you a
- 7:32Speaker 1: better person. I'll make you a whole person. I apologize
- 7:36Speaker 1: for saying better, right.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I would guess it's more of me telling me for
- 7:41Speaker 2: a long time and then having my daughter, because in
- 7:46Speaker 2: the midst of a lot of stuff, my mom passed
- 7:48Speaker 2: when I was with nineteen, so I'm still you know, baby,
- 7:52Speaker 2: you know for is, you know, life itself itself. But
- 7:56Speaker 2: in that time, that was some dark times too, because
- 7:59Speaker 2: then I truly felt that God had forsaken me, and
- 8:02Speaker 2: it's like he just left me out here alone, being
- 8:04Speaker 2: that my mom is not here, and I really did
- 8:06Speaker 2: not want to be here. But when I got pregnant,
- 8:10Speaker 2: it was like that rebirth in me. It's like I
- 8:12Speaker 2: can do what I want for myself, but I have
- 8:15Speaker 2: to be here for her. And I knew it was
- 8:16Speaker 2: a girl for some reason. I knew it was a girl.
- 8:19Speaker 2: But I have to be here to show her that
- 8:22Speaker 2: your life does not have to follow mine. And my
- 8:26Speaker 2: goal was to break those chains of all the stuff
- 8:29Speaker 2: that I endured, and I had to talk to myself.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Now when my mom passed, you know, I did see
- 8:36Speaker 2: a psychiatrist within the most world. You know, they may
- 8:38Speaker 2: be go ste Way, which was good because I needed
- 8:40Speaker 2: to get that out. And then after that, I just
- 8:43Speaker 2: kept talking to myself for the most part, and then
- 8:45Speaker 2: eventually I started opening it up and talking to others
- 8:49Speaker 2: and then that's when the true healing came for me.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Just talking about it and just getting all that pain
- 8:58Speaker 2: out is almost like a relief.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you this, Teresa, because I've read this,
- 9:05Speaker 1: is that as a young person, when you're traumatized in
- 9:10Speaker 1: these situations that you can't control, you can kind of
- 9:13Speaker 1: like almost make it. You can forget it it's even happening,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and then as you go along, you don't remember it
- 9:24Speaker 1: because your body can your mind can protect you. It
- 9:26Speaker 1: can protect you by creating points of portals and pushing
- 9:31Speaker 1: that memory or that experience over here, and it allows
- 9:34Speaker 1: you to become a survivor. You just in survivor mode.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Survivor mode, survivor mode. Because you said, Rashon, I joined
- 9:41Speaker 1: the military and basically it was like I come from
- 9:45Speaker 1: a traumatized environment, and so these people are screaming at me.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And basically, in some ways, military training is belittling because
- 9:55Speaker 1: they want to make sure they're trying to mold you
- 9:57Speaker 1: and shape you to be a person that represents what
- 10:00Speaker 1: they need you to do. They tell you to run
- 10:02Speaker 1: up the heel even though bullets are coming right at you.
- 10:05Speaker 1: You got to run up the heel. That's what they
- 10:07Speaker 1: mold you to do.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Correct.
- 10:09Speaker 1: How did you get through that trauma as a child
- 10:14Speaker 1: and then started remembering as you were going through therapy,
- 10:19Speaker 1: as you was going opening up to people, Were you angry?
- 10:23Speaker 1: Were you mad? When it really really dawned on you
- 10:27Speaker 1: what you had forgotten that now you remember, I.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Would say, because I would definitely agree with you, because
- 10:37Speaker 2: you blocked certain things out to protect yourself and a
- 10:42Speaker 2: lot of things that my memory is in bits and
- 10:45Speaker 2: pieces to this death. And I guess I wouldn't necessarily angry.
- 10:52Speaker 2: It was more of a sense of me that cannot
- 10:56Speaker 2: let this happen to my child. It was more or that,
- 11:01Speaker 2: And it's like I refuse to let it happen to
- 11:02Speaker 2: my child. So somebody's gonna pay, Somebody gonna go to jail,
- 11:06Speaker 2: and they put their hands or anything, and even looking
- 11:09Speaker 2: at her strange because being a survivor rape, you know
- 11:11Speaker 2: that look. Okay, you know that look, so they're looking
- 11:15Speaker 2: at her. Funny, we having some problems. I had to
- 11:19Speaker 2: I remember having to tell one of my cousins that
- 11:23Speaker 2: that because he, uh, he looked at my I knew,
- 11:27Speaker 2: I knew that look. I knew that look from when
- 11:29Speaker 2: we grew up. And I told her, I said that
- 11:32Speaker 2: one right there, I would go to jail for.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Trying m h. And his reaction was what he got.
- 11:41Speaker 2: He left right.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Because you gave him to try me. Look.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Yes, we're not kids anymore.
- 11:50Speaker 1: So yes, you know, really when we when we talk
- 11:54Speaker 1: about the book because she's on the show Ladies and Gentlemen,
- 11:56Speaker 1: because she has a book called Unbreakable, A Survivors Tested Morning. Now,
- 12:01Speaker 1: in this book, these are honest stories. Some people have
- 12:05Speaker 1: are revealing their names. And you have three stories in
- 12:07Speaker 1: here where you have three anonymous storytellers, and you know
- 12:12Speaker 1: we talked off air that go come on now, Teresa,
- 12:15Speaker 1: why do you have some anonymous storytellers in your book?
- 12:19Speaker 1: And your response to me was this, the story.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Is what's important for them to tell and me to
- 12:26Speaker 2: meet them where they are their name. That's to me.
- 12:30Speaker 2: What was minor are irrelevant. It's the story that is.
- 12:35Speaker 2: That's what people need to hear.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I'm going to share some of my reaction to some
- 12:40Speaker 1: of her stories, especially the one with the snakes. Oh,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I can't girl. When I was reading that section, my
- 12:49Speaker 1: I was just looking around and thank god it was
- 12:52Speaker 1: light in the room, because if I'd read this book
- 12:54Speaker 1: and it had been dark, I wouldn't have finished the section.
- 12:58Speaker 1: All them snakes you talk to boy in that house.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Ugh.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I still am making my skin crawl right now because snakes,
- 13:05Speaker 1: me and snakes don't get along. I don't care. I'll
- 13:08Speaker 1: get look at little good come garden snakes, some little
- 13:10Speaker 1: baby snakes. You know the heck with ratlers and Kolbri's.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I'm talking about any snake come of me. Your bar
- 13:18Speaker 1: is Carl Lewis. I'm Carl Lewis. And if you on
- 13:22Speaker 1: a date with me where you're gonna be dealing with
- 13:24Speaker 1: that snake by Zack because your boy one, your boy.
- 13:26Speaker 3: One, You're please don't go anywhere. We'll be right back
- 13:30Speaker 3: with more money making conversations, masterclass. Welcome back to the
- 13:39Speaker 3: Money Making Conversations. Masterclass hosted by Rashaan McDonald money Making Conversations.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Masterclass continues online at Moneymakingconversations dot com and follow money
- 13:50Speaker 3: Making Conversations Masterclass on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Talking to Teresa Edwards. She owns a production company called
- 13:58Speaker 1: terror Don Entertainment. But this is about her book, her book,
- 14:02Speaker 1: her Emotional Journey, Unbreakable or Survivor's Testimony, because she's a survivor.
- 14:08Speaker 1: She's a survivor, she's a she's had an experienced traumatic experience.
- 14:14Speaker 1: You know, I get sad when I hear these things
- 14:16Speaker 1: because children are such a blessing. They're such honest, They're
- 14:20Speaker 1: just blank slates. And when people abuse children that honesty,
- 14:27Speaker 1: they can never regain, they can never get it back.
- 14:30Speaker 1: It stays with them and they have to deal with
- 14:34Speaker 1: that drama that you've given them. And they didn't ask
- 14:37Speaker 1: for it. All they wanted was love and you've torn
- 14:41Speaker 1: that away from that child. And when I talk to you, Edwards,
- 14:47Speaker 1: I feel a person who's overcome that You're dealing with
- 14:50Speaker 1: it because it's always going to be there, but you
- 14:53Speaker 1: overcome that and tell my audience how you deal with
- 14:56Speaker 1: them on a daily basis, Like you already said your daughter,
- 15:00Speaker 1: you're very protective of her. You know that look, which
- 15:03Speaker 1: is crazy, the fact that you have to you know
- 15:06Speaker 1: a look and you've identified that look and if you
- 15:11Speaker 1: see it, you know how to react and it's not
- 15:14Speaker 1: a in you. And if it takes violence to make
- 15:17Speaker 1: that direction happen, then it's going to be that way
- 15:21Speaker 1: for you, because you're not going to allow your child
- 15:23Speaker 1: to lose that level of in the sense that you lost.
- 15:26Speaker 1: But this book, how did it influence the message that
- 15:30Speaker 1: you was trying to get out to me as a
- 15:32Speaker 1: reader to have a strong takeaway.
- 15:37Speaker 2: It's come back up a little bit. So because this
- 15:41Speaker 2: book actually was in the making years ago. It actually
- 15:45Speaker 2: started as a show, a TV show, and I shot
- 15:49Speaker 2: the first pilot and just something in me it says,
- 15:53Speaker 2: I'm not ready to move forward with it. It wasn't
- 15:57Speaker 2: until the end of last year where I was sitting
- 16:00Speaker 2: in this workshop and I swear I felt it was
- 16:04Speaker 2: like God talking to me, saying, Okay, it is time,
- 16:08Speaker 2: and not just tell your story. Include others so they
- 16:12Speaker 2: can tell their story, so they get a different perspective.
- 16:15Speaker 2: People can get a different perspective and different things and
- 16:19Speaker 2: different triumphs. You know, to really go and know that
- 16:25Speaker 2: they're not alone, because like I told before, it's like
- 16:28Speaker 2: sometimes when we're in our own little bubble, we feel
- 16:31Speaker 2: like it only happened to me, and that's not true.
- 16:34Speaker 2: And if you know, when you have a community of
- 16:36Speaker 2: folks that has been through, that have been where you've been,
- 16:40Speaker 2: and knowing and just encouraging you to be to stay
- 16:43Speaker 2: and just hold on because there's light at the end
- 16:46Speaker 2: of this tunnel. That is my message. Just hold on.
- 16:50Speaker 2: You have a community, and I promise you there's light
- 16:52Speaker 2: at the end of this tunnel.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something. That first story and them snakes.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I'm sorry, miss Edward, did you talk to a man?
- 17:06Speaker 1: I'm not gonna give away the episode, but these people
- 17:11Speaker 1: were living on a den of snakes. Yeah, every time
- 17:17Speaker 1: they walked in the room, a snake was waiting on.
- 17:21Speaker 1: They go in the bathroom, snake waiting on. They opened
- 17:25Speaker 1: a refrigerator, snake waiting on. Hey, your boy paranoid. I
- 17:34Speaker 1: would I saw a snake in her freezer. In the freezer.
- 17:38Speaker 1: He was just posing. He was posing.
- 17:43Speaker 2: But how you're doing it?
- 17:46Speaker 1: But you know, but that's the that's you know, But
- 17:48Speaker 1: that's the life that these young people with, this young
- 17:51Speaker 1: person who told this story was living, and the fact
- 17:55Speaker 1: that that that was the conditions, that's the trauma part
- 18:01Speaker 1: of this person's life that you know, I'm bad enough.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Roaches okay, you know, worried about roaches crawling over your bread,
- 18:11Speaker 1: or roaches, you know, swading a mosquito off your forehead.
- 18:15Speaker 1: The fact that you could wake up and a snake
- 18:20Speaker 1: in the bed with you. Come on, now, miss ed?
- 18:22Speaker 1: What's come on?
- 18:23Speaker 2: Now? Now? Yes, the true story, And that's actually that's
- 18:27Speaker 2: my husband's story. I wasn't too far because I grew
- 18:32Speaker 2: up in Florida. So you you were scared to get
- 18:34Speaker 2: up in the middle of the night because you don't
- 18:36Speaker 2: know what's on that floor. So you're sitting up there
- 18:38Speaker 2: holding it.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. Not now now,
- 18:43Speaker 1: So you ain't telling me to the book?
- 18:44Speaker 2: Now?
- 18:45Speaker 1: That was your husband. Now, Now, how is he today?
- 18:49Speaker 1: Is he a nervous brother? He does he can he
- 18:54Speaker 1: go fishing this little bait warn bother him, you know,
- 18:57Speaker 1: because let me tell you, so the fact that he
- 19:01Speaker 1: is some I'm gonna tell you something. This is the
- 19:04Speaker 1: first that's the first story I know. I started a
- 19:06Speaker 1: little bit, because that's how snakes impact me. I remember
- 19:09Speaker 1: one day I came home to my house in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 19:13Speaker 1: There was a snake curled up at the front door.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I called nine one one, see see whatever. What I'm
- 19:26Speaker 1: not gonna do is like you know, people get to
- 19:27Speaker 1: get a stick and you chased to the way. Nope, nope, nope,
- 19:31Speaker 1: nope nope. I called the police. I called my wife.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I said, I want out everybody. Who do you call
- 19:37Speaker 1: to come get snakes? That's why I said, nine one one,
- 19:39Speaker 1: Who do you call to come get snakes? And then
- 19:42Speaker 1: and then when the snake wrangler came, you know, he goes,
- 19:45Speaker 1: that's not even a big snake. Man, look at it.
- 19:47Speaker 1: You can take it. You get on out of here
- 19:49Speaker 1: with that story. Big enough for me, big enough Sean McDonald,
- 19:57Speaker 1: snake had to go. I didn't know if it was pausing.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You know, they start breaking that down. It not any part, hey, brother,
- 20:03Speaker 1: Get snick out of here. Get snick out of because
- 20:09Speaker 1: those are the type of stories that impact people on
- 20:11Speaker 1: a daily basis and draw me and drew me into
- 20:14Speaker 1: the book. And there's another story I'm gonna share with
- 20:17Speaker 1: you guys, cause I'm not gonna share all the stories.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But it's a story where a lot of women involve
- 20:23Speaker 1: domestic violence. Yes, and this young lady told her story.
- 20:29Speaker 1: She revealed her name in this book. And it's a
- 20:32Speaker 1: story where a lot of women get involved. They get
- 20:35Speaker 1: wood with flowers, they get wooed with he's such a
- 20:39Speaker 1: nice guy, and that person traps him in a situation
- 20:43Speaker 1: where they cannot get out of and next thing you know,
- 20:48Speaker 1: they are sexually assaulted. Y now, but this is not
- 20:52Speaker 1: the end of this story. She came back to him.
- 21:02Speaker 1: That's the part of the story you gotta read in
- 21:05Speaker 1: this book because sometimes people don't understand, well, are you crazy?
- 21:10Speaker 2: You?
- 21:11Speaker 1: Well, did you get a lot of people don't understand
- 21:14Speaker 1: how when people come into your life, how they can
- 21:17Speaker 1: take control of your and they can come in and
- 21:20Speaker 1: they know all your love. Your love like to say,
- 21:23Speaker 1: all your love touch buttons. They'll know what to say,
- 21:25Speaker 1: what to make you happy, what to give you, what
- 21:29Speaker 1: makes you smile, what makes you forgive? They know all
- 21:33Speaker 1: those things. That's why you have pimps and you have
- 21:36Speaker 1: women who work in the streets because they know the
- 21:38Speaker 1: buttons that they get pushed. I'm not saying that that's you.
- 21:42Speaker 1: But know that we all have weaknesses. And so before
- 21:46Speaker 1: I tell somebody all you stupid, all you you crazy,
- 21:50Speaker 1: all you should never let that happen to you looking self,
- 21:54Speaker 1: because it can happen to you. And that's what this
- 21:56Speaker 1: book Unbreakable was all about. The survivors testimony, other shoes.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I'm telling you, it's compelling. It's compelling it and like
- 22:09Speaker 1: you know, it's a little bit different. I'm not talking
- 22:10Speaker 1: about the entrepreneurship. I'm not talking about small business. I'm
- 22:13Speaker 1: not talking about a product. I'm talking about human beings today.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Because if you can't get yourself together emotionally, if you
- 22:21Speaker 1: can't understand having the how importanceness having the right people
- 22:24Speaker 1: in your life, then you will not be successful. Then
- 22:27Speaker 1: you will not achieve the next place in life that
- 22:30Speaker 1: belongs to you. As the number one takeaway from your book, Teresa,
- 22:36Speaker 1: which what is it? So my listeners can hear it.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Regardless of what you go through, as long as you
- 22:43Speaker 2: got breaths, you are unbreakable. Find your community. There are
- 22:47Speaker 2: people there that will help you, that will hold you
- 22:50Speaker 2: until you can walk your walk by yourself. Just hold
- 22:54Speaker 2: on life. I promise you it would be better.
- 22:57Speaker 1: On the other hand, now we said find your community.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Help me with that, because there's so many layers to
- 23:03Speaker 1: that term community.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Like you were saying before, it takes it takes a village,
- 23:08Speaker 2: and you gotta you gotta get rid of those those naysayers.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Are those ones that's just, you know, really kind of
- 23:15Speaker 2: pulling your spirit and get to get around the folks
- 23:18Speaker 2: that's really gonna support you and your journey. That's what
- 23:21Speaker 2: I mean by getting to get finding your community, finding
- 23:24Speaker 2: those ones that support you, because there's a lot of
- 23:27Speaker 2: folks out there that is going to try and tear
- 23:28Speaker 2: you down, tear you apart, and those are the ones
- 23:30Speaker 2: you're gonna have to mute, silent a distance.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Well, my friend, it's been an emotional day for me.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Uh with these interviews I've had to deliver. But more importantly,
- 23:43Speaker 1: the fact that you came on my show is shared
- 23:45Speaker 1: your story, your husband's story with us, and tell them
- 23:49Speaker 1: I commend him many I will and tell him I'm
- 23:53Speaker 1: mad at this story because I'm won't think about snakes
- 23:55Speaker 1: when I go to sleep at night, and I'm not
- 23:57Speaker 1: happy about that. Teresa efforts. Let's you know that, how
- 24:01Speaker 1: can we get adopted? Why can they purchase this book?
- 24:03Speaker 1: How can we purchase a book? As we close out
- 24:05Speaker 1: the interview, thank you.
- 24:08Speaker 2: It is on Amazon because that's self published, so it's
- 24:12Speaker 2: on Amazon and that's where everybody can go get it.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Okay, cool, Thank you for coming on Money Making Conversations
- 24:18Speaker 1: master Class and I appreciate your honesty. And these books
- 24:21Speaker 1: are needed because it's about motivation and also it lets
- 24:25Speaker 1: people know that your story may not be unique, but
- 24:29Speaker 1: what can make it. The difference is that you can't overcome.
- 24:32Speaker 1: You can't go from trauma to triumph. Girl, I've read
- 24:36Speaker 1: your book, changed my life. We talked soon, Teresa.
