- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby now. Uh huh, I sure
- 2:03Speaker 1: will come on. And everybody you are listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey,
- 2:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, man, got a radio show. Do you understand that?
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'm telling you God been big in my life. God,
- 2:19Speaker 1: God is a gentleman. You know. I want to I
- 2:21Speaker 1: want to point that out to you. God is an
- 2:24Speaker 1: absolute gentleman. He will not come in unless he's invited.
- 2:31Speaker 1: He don't just barge into your life. He gives us
- 2:35Speaker 1: the power of choice. You know. If you say you
- 2:38Speaker 1: got it, I don't need you. He let you have it.
- 2:42Speaker 1: If you say I need you, come see about me.
- 2:45Speaker 1: He right there. It's just a real simple thing. Man.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So always say to people this, if you've gotten yourself
- 2:54Speaker 1: into something, and please know I have I man see that.
- 3:01Speaker 1: That's why I'm so adamant about it because I've gotten
- 3:04Speaker 1: myself in some circumstances and positions in my life. But
- 3:08Speaker 1: I've been I've had some low moments, man, I've had
- 3:12Speaker 1: some moments where I did not know what to do.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I didn't know what was next, I didn't know how
- 3:20Speaker 1: to go about it. I didn't have no more ideas.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I was stuck. I thought a couple of times, well,
- 3:31Speaker 1: might not make it past this one. But then if
- 3:34Speaker 1: I don't make it past it, what's gonna happen? And
- 3:37Speaker 1: then I held on to this little thing that my
- 3:40Speaker 1: mother kept talking to me about. She said, sometimes when
- 3:43Speaker 1: you ain't got nothing else in you, just hope, she said,
- 3:48Speaker 1: just hope it'll be all right, you know. And what
- 3:51Speaker 1: I've learned in my life is that hope. It's the
- 3:54Speaker 1: beginning of faith. Hope. It's just is there a possibility
- 3:59Speaker 1: out there for me? I sure hope something happened. See hope,
- 4:06Speaker 1: hope it's okay, man, Because like I said, for me,
- 4:11Speaker 1: the way I've lived my life, hope was the beginning
- 4:13Speaker 1: of faith. It was just the idea. It's just the
- 4:17Speaker 1: thought that something could change from me, that something could
- 4:20Speaker 1: be a little bit different from me, that maybe man,
- 4:24Speaker 1: just maybe for some reason, I could be saved, I
- 4:30Speaker 1: could be rescued. Things could turn around, it could head
- 4:35Speaker 1: any other direction. Maybe I could quit messing up. Maybe
- 4:40Speaker 1: somebody will forgive me, Maybe somebody will just say all right.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I don't know, but I can't count the times I've
- 4:48Speaker 1: been in that position. But then once I hope a
- 4:52Speaker 1: little bit, and then I remember. Also my mother, because
- 4:55Speaker 1: she was a Sunday school teacher, she taught me the
- 4:58Speaker 1: most valuable lesson I've ever learned in my life. Nothing
- 5:02Speaker 1: has been greater in my life than my faith. She
- 5:05Speaker 1: taught me to pray. Mamma used to say, when it
- 5:08Speaker 1: get real, dog for your son, prad changes things, she said,
- 5:13Speaker 1: when you seem like you lost and you can't finding
- 5:17Speaker 1: your way, stop and pray, she said, because prad changes things.
- 5:23Speaker 1: You know, when you get a point in your life
- 5:24Speaker 1: when you've done all you can do and you can't
- 5:26Speaker 1: do no more and you just don't know what to
- 5:29Speaker 1: do next, she says, stop, So pray and combine that
- 5:35Speaker 1: prayer with that hope that you got, she said, because
- 5:40Speaker 1: that hope is the beginning of faith. She said. If
- 5:43Speaker 1: you pray just hoping she's saying that God come through
- 5:48Speaker 1: for you. That will give you confidence that he can
- 5:51Speaker 1: do it again. And then after a while you quit hoping.
- 5:55Speaker 1: She's saying, you started believing. She saying, that's when you're
- 5:59Speaker 1: on to something. If you can turn that hope into belief,
- 6:06Speaker 1: that hope into faith, that's that's the ability to believe
- 6:14Speaker 1: in something that you can't see. But the key though,
- 6:17Speaker 1: the faith is you're believing in something that you can't see. See.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Hoping a little bit different from me now, I'm pretty sure.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Like I say oftentimes to tell a lot of people
- 6:28Speaker 1: who can explain this thing a lot better than I
- 6:30Speaker 1: can to you, hope. It's just kind of I don't
- 6:33Speaker 1: know how to I don't know how to say it.
- 6:35Speaker 1: But I'm just telling you hope. You're just hoping it
- 6:37Speaker 1: worked out right. You just have a thought in your
- 6:39Speaker 1: mind that you know, man, whoever you are, or whoever
- 6:44Speaker 1: you are, whatever you are, to me, God, I show
- 6:47Speaker 1: hope something change. Hope helps. Man. If you ain't strong
- 6:52Speaker 1: enough to have faith, have hope, hope, and then if
- 6:58Speaker 1: you pray with some hope and God answers your prayer,
- 7:04Speaker 1: then that hope gains a little confidence and After a
- 7:08Speaker 1: while that confidence becomes faith. Now they're just hoping, but
- 7:15Speaker 1: I'm believing. I'm believing it's something that I cannot see.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Faith has been the key to my entire existence, even
- 7:28Speaker 1: when I didn't have any It was faith, as I
- 7:33Speaker 1: look back on it, that has gotten me here, and
- 7:39Speaker 1: not just faith, but my faith. See, you will only
- 7:44Speaker 1: get to where you're going in your life based on
- 7:48Speaker 1: your faith. See. A lot of people get the word
- 7:53Speaker 1: faith confused, like what's your faith? And then they started
- 7:57Speaker 1: going down this whole list of all these different religions
- 8:00Speaker 1: out here. But really an essence, man, when I talk
- 8:04Speaker 1: to people about faith, I'm talking to you about your
- 8:08Speaker 1: your belief. How much do you believe in the unseen? See?
- 8:16Speaker 1: Faith is the core of all that is happening to
- 8:20Speaker 1: me today. It is the faith that I have in
- 8:24Speaker 1: my relationship with God that enables me to just oftentimes,
- 8:30Speaker 1: if I stay on the right course and believe a
- 8:33Speaker 1: certain way and act a certain way, his blessings just poor.
- 8:40Speaker 1: They just come. And it comes in a lot of
- 8:43Speaker 1: little ways too. I've started to notice. See it ain't
- 8:46Speaker 1: just a lot of people think blessings is money and no, man,
- 8:49Speaker 1: that ain't it it's coverage. It's every time my plane
- 8:54Speaker 1: lands safe. It's every time they predict bad weather and
- 8:58Speaker 1: I get up in the sky that don't be no
- 9:00Speaker 1: bad weather. You know this, This is favor. These are
- 9:05Speaker 1: blessings that get poured out to me. Somebody call me
- 9:09Speaker 1: and offer me something, not money, but an opportunity. See,
- 9:15Speaker 1: blessings come a lot of ways. But once you tie
- 9:19Speaker 1: into God, once you tie in and you start doing
- 9:24Speaker 1: the best you can do, and you start asking for
- 9:27Speaker 1: Him to make you a better person, to help shape
- 9:30Speaker 1: and mold you into the kind of man or person
- 9:34Speaker 1: that he wants you to be. You be amazed what
- 9:36Speaker 1: God can do with you. Man, if you just invite
- 9:39Speaker 1: me in and allow him to be a part of
- 9:41Speaker 1: your life. I mean, what you got to lose out there?
- 9:44Speaker 1: Come on? Why why would you not change? Why would
- 9:48Speaker 1: you not allow God to be a part of your life?
- 9:51Speaker 1: God got some big plans for you. If he didn't,
- 9:54Speaker 1: you wouldn't keep waking up. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: It is time for the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Bring

- 12:17Speaker 1: actually didn't free slaves, just put him to work for
- 12:20Speaker 1: more white people. That's what did My god, what an idiot?
- 12:31Speaker 1: You think that like dumbest thing he's ever said? Yeah,
- 12:38Speaker 1: you think anyone will vote for him? Duke, Oh, that

- 12:57Speaker 1: time for this. Got to get someone in that who
- 13:01Speaker 1: can beat Trump, not someone who thinks Trump is the
- 13:04Speaker 1: daddy he never had. No one's taking Kanye seriously humppit
- 13:13Speaker 1: it in the White housemakers dumb a state list than Trump,

- 14:45Speaker 1: from Selena in Detroit. She says, I'm in my mid
- 14:49Speaker 1: thirties and I started dating one of my good friends.
- 14:52Speaker 1: After we slipped up and had sex, it lasted for
- 14:56Speaker 1: over an hour, and afterwards I told him it was
- 14:59Speaker 1: the best secon I ever had. I hate I even
- 15:02Speaker 1: said it, because since then he's been trying to outdo himself.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Each time we have sex. It's not even good after
- 15:10Speaker 1: the first twenty minutes. And I don't have an extra
- 15:13Speaker 1: one to two hours to have sex with him every night.
- 15:18Speaker 1: I've asked him to keep it short and sweet, but
- 15:20Speaker 1: he says he can't. How can I get through to
- 15:22Speaker 1: him without hurting his ego. I don't know what to
- 15:27Speaker 1: tell you. You know what I mean. You told him
- 15:29Speaker 1: it was the best you ever had. Now he trying
- 15:31Speaker 1: to make sure he don't let you down, and you
- 15:36Speaker 1: ain't got a whole hour all this hill but he
- 15:39Speaker 1: and that clown and now and the statement he made
- 15:42Speaker 1: about he can't shorten it up. Oh he can't. Oh
- 15:47Speaker 1: he can. But it's his ego now that's causing him
- 15:51Speaker 1: to overperform and outdo himself. And now I got to
- 15:56Speaker 1: tell you he can't keep this up right. He just
- 16:00Speaker 1: can't normal. You know, that's every ninety and occasion and
- 16:09Speaker 1: every night fifteen minutes. That's good. She's cool after twenty
- 16:14Speaker 1: she's cool after twenty twenty. If you ain't, you ain't
- 16:17Speaker 1: got what you need in twenty. You need to try
- 16:20Speaker 1: another sport. You need to take up tiddley winks, up
- 16:25Speaker 1: bad mining or something, because for you, you can't get
- 16:29Speaker 1: yours in twenty that's your damn fault. What should she
- 16:33Speaker 1: say to him, Steve without hurting him, it's ain't the
- 16:39Speaker 1: game out or something. Stop. Let me see if you
- 16:47Speaker 1: can get this in fifteen minutes. Go go, all right,
- 16:56Speaker 1: all right, we're gonna move on. Kevin and Raleigh, North Carolina.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Clo says, I have a situation that I need your
- 17:02Speaker 1: advice on. My best friend is getting married in October,
- 17:06Speaker 1: and I've slept with his fiance. But she doesn't remember it.
- 17:09Speaker 1: It happened six years ago in a club. Yeah, after
- 17:13Speaker 1: she had seven tequila shots and a little weed. She
- 17:17Speaker 1: was with three of her girlfriends, and somehow we ended
- 17:20Speaker 1: up having drunk sex in the bathroom. She had just
- 17:23Speaker 1: met my best friend and wasn't serious about him yet.
- 17:26Speaker 1: The funny thing about it is that she acts like
- 17:28Speaker 1: she doesn't remember that night at all. Either she was
- 17:31Speaker 1: very drunk or she's a good actress. Should I tell
- 17:34Speaker 1: my best friend about it? This is a movie? Yeah,
- 17:38Speaker 1: hell no, you shouldn't tell your best friend. And you know, dog,
- 17:41Speaker 1: listen to me, because you ain't like the other letter.
- 17:45Speaker 1: We just had the love the clo question. She you
- 17:48Speaker 1: ain't made an impression. She might not even really remember you.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You ain't doing nothing. So now you're gonna take your
- 17:57Speaker 1: hurd ass feelers over there? Miss your boy up? No, man,
- 18:02Speaker 1: that ain't right, dog. And if she could be pretending
- 18:06Speaker 1: not to know it or remember that could be the case,
- 18:10Speaker 1: or you didn't even last to the pression that she
- 18:12Speaker 1: don't remember. Either way, what purpose is it of yours
- 18:16Speaker 1: to tell your boy? Yeah, you just can't tell everything?
- 18:21Speaker 1: What man? Come on, you're gonna go tell him that?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Are you stupid? Man? Remember nothing? It is? Man? Yeah,
- 18:32Speaker 1: it really don't do that? All right? That there's some
- 18:35Speaker 1: stuff that everybody should take to the grave. This one
- 18:39Speaker 1: of them right there. I got a bunch of them.
- 18:42Speaker 1: That's all right, here we go. I got stuff, Tommy,
- 18:49Speaker 1: I ain't gotten thathing I got to take to the
- 18:51Speaker 1: grave because I buried all that stuff. It's already in
- 18:54Speaker 1: a grave. It ain't coming back. Up. All right, clo,
- 19:01Speaker 1: here we go. Johnny and Pittsburgh says, I'm a forty
- 19:03Speaker 1: two year old single father of four, and I have
- 19:06Speaker 1: a hard time finding a decent woman. I thought my
- 19:09Speaker 1: children would run women off. But it's my looks. I'm
- 19:13Speaker 1: a personal trainer and I'm in great shape. I'm bald,
- 19:18Speaker 1: dark skin, and everyone says that I look younger than
- 19:21Speaker 1: forty two. Women don't take me seriously. I always get
- 19:25Speaker 1: accused of being a player. But if I'm not working out,
- 19:28Speaker 1: I'm home with my children. I haven't been dating at
- 19:31Speaker 1: all because of COVID nineteen. I'm ready for some female company.
- 19:35Speaker 1: So how can I get women to stop looking at
- 19:37Speaker 1: me as a piece of meat and really get to
- 19:40Speaker 1: know me? I know you're mad, I tell you. First
- 19:46Speaker 1: of all, right here, you said you thought your kids
- 19:50Speaker 1: would run women all. Bertie looks, I'm bald, I'm dark skin.
- 19:56Speaker 1: You fail to say you were a track He checks
- 20:00Speaker 1: all the boxes. Though you can be bald, dog skinned
- 20:04Speaker 1: and ugly now, but he's ugly. He didn't. He didn't
- 20:08Speaker 1: say he was attract Oh see Shirley, Shirley, see some dudes,
- 20:15Speaker 1: he thinks because he in the gym, he all yoked up.
- 20:18Speaker 1: That that's it? Yeah, what Roman? You know? Running from
- 20:22Speaker 1: that man? Get out of here. Dog, it's something else wrong.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You might be cut up, you might be ball headed
- 20:32Speaker 1: and dog tall, dog and handsome is a thing. Maybe
- 20:38Speaker 1: you just two out of three. Maybe you just tall
- 20:41Speaker 1: and dog. She tall and dog don't really get you
- 20:45Speaker 1: that far. Now, party, all right, we gotta hello coming up, nephew,
- 20:54Speaker 1: tell me who also thinks he's fine. He'll have that
- 20:59Speaker 1: run back right after this. You're listening Stry Morning show.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Miss Anna
- 21:08Speaker 1: standing by with today's national news. And in trending viral
- 21:12Speaker 1: video news Congresswoman Maxine Waters, did you guys see this?
- 21:16Speaker 1: She stopped to check out to check on I should say,
- 21:20Speaker 1: a black man when she saw him being detained by
- 21:23Speaker 1: the police. Um wow. Plus Tamar Braxon reportedly is alert
- 21:29Speaker 1: and responsive now. And also in celebrity baby news, Nicki
- 21:33Speaker 1: Minaj has announced she's pregnant. We'll talk about all of
- 21:36Speaker 1: these stories at the top of the hour, but right now,
- 21:38Speaker 1: the nephew is here, will run that prank back. What
- 21:40Speaker 1: you got for his neff. We're gonna do a little
- 21:44Speaker 1: hall today. That's what we're gonna do. Ask y'all, lady
- 21:46Speaker 1: something do you want it? Do you use glue where
- 21:50Speaker 1: you don't use putting? What's the right one? Glue or
- 21:55Speaker 1: no glue? You could do both? Yeah, you could do
- 21:58Speaker 1: so in glue later? Can that glue come unglued though? Yeah? Wow? Yeah, yeah,
- 22:08Speaker 1: you can be sitting in church and that glue. He's impatient. Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 1: don't nobody want no damn lesson in? How just can

- 22:35Speaker 1: fell out in church today. I don't I don't even
- 22:38Speaker 1: use glue because I don't even know why you're coming
- 22:40Speaker 1: at me on the side tip anyway about your auntie
- 22:43Speaker 1: my aunt My auntie is Deborah, and I have fella
- 22:55Speaker 1: nineteen some glue who you think you tripping with? Look,

- 23:15Speaker 1: with some glue. It's for some clue that be that
- 23:19Speaker 1: melting on the side of you. Ain't well, that's what happened,
- 23:21Speaker 1: and I fell off in service, and all the church
- 23:23Speaker 1: member it's sitting there laughing at Well she shouldn't have been.

- 33:30Speaker 1: you very much, everybody. This is Anne Tripp. The House
- 33:33Speaker 1: that representatives returned from a two week recess yesterday to
- 33:36Speaker 1: remember and more in one of its own a man
- 33:39Speaker 1: often called the Conscience of the Congress. There was a
- 33:42Speaker 1: moment of silence, and then the late John Lewis was
- 33:45Speaker 1: praised by Democrats like Sanford Bishop and Republicans like Tom Graves.
- 33:49Speaker 1: The world is a better place because John Lewis spent
- 33:52Speaker 1: his life pursuing freedom, justice, opportunity, love and peace for
- 33:59Speaker 1: all humanity. I'm better off because of John Lewis. We
- 34:03Speaker 1: are all better because of John Lewis. Our nation is
- 34:07Speaker 1: so much better because of John Lewis. How Speaker Nancy
- 34:10Speaker 1: Pelosi says plans for Lewis's services are going to be
- 34:12Speaker 1: announced at a later date. Meanwhile, Georgia's state Senator Nakimo
- 34:16Speaker 1: Williams and Kima Williams has been selected to replace him
- 34:19Speaker 1: for the remainder of his term and also on the ballot,
- 34:22Speaker 1: so the Kia Williams will face the GOP's Angela stan
- 34:25Speaker 1: King in the fall. President Trump is threatening to send
- 34:28Speaker 1: federal agents into cities run by Democrats to quell unrest
- 34:32Speaker 1: and property damage, like he's already done in Portland, Oregon.
- 34:35Speaker 1: It's mess over there. Trump's meant me mentioning also the
- 34:39Speaker 1: cities of New York, Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia as places he's
- 34:43Speaker 1: thinking about sending federal troops in. But Chicago is going
- 34:46Speaker 1: to be first, and the mayor of the Windy City
- 34:48Speaker 1: has written him a letter asking him not to do it.
- 34:51Speaker 1: The nation's COVID death rates approaching one hundred and forty one.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Now Florida is being the epicenter. Yesterday they were at
- 34:57Speaker 1: least ten thousand new cases reported, and that's been the
- 35:00Speaker 1: figure for at least six days, the last six days,
- 35:03Speaker 1: each day about ten thousand new cases. Republican Governor Rond DeSantis,
- 35:07Speaker 1: who has criticized last month for opening the beaches, is
- 35:10Speaker 1: insisting that there are enough hospital beds available to take
- 35:12Speaker 1: care of the sick. You had to shout that bit
- 35:14Speaker 1: of information out the over protest. You know, we have
- 35:17Speaker 1: twenty five percent of the bed hospital beds are available statewide,
- 35:22Speaker 1: in almost twenty percent of the ICU beds are available.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Here in Orange County, nearly twenty six percent of adult
- 35:29Speaker 1: hospital beds are available. Quite a few people that didn't
- 35:32Speaker 1: like what he was saying or him either, I don't know.
- 35:34Speaker 1: DeSantis still plans to reopen the schools in the fall,
- 35:37Speaker 1: even though the Florida Teachers Union is suing him to
- 35:39Speaker 1: try to stop that. Teachers say simply not safe for
- 35:42Speaker 1: them or the children to return to the classroom. President
- 35:45Speaker 1: Trump is pushing for a payroll tax cud he wants
- 35:47Speaker 1: in including the next coronavirus package, and now it's patriotic,
- 35:50Speaker 1: President Trump tweeting a picture of himself wearing a mask
- 35:53Speaker 1: with the message quote, we are united in our effort
- 35:56Speaker 1: to defeat the invisible China virus. And he's a very
- 35:59Speaker 1: patriot out nobody more patriotic than me, your favorite president.
- 36:03Speaker 1: And today's national Invite an alien to live with you day.
- 36:08Speaker 1: To some people, we have aliens all over the place,
- 36:11Speaker 1: even in Washington. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:14Speaker 1: You're listening to the String Show. Well, Kanye's back in
- 36:19Speaker 1: the news. His campaign rally this past Sunday in South
- 36:22Speaker 1: Carolina was basically a waste of time. He missed the
- 36:25Speaker 1: deadline of twelve pm to get ten thousand signatures to
- 36:28Speaker 1: petition as a candidate to get on the November. Couldn't
- 36:32Speaker 1: find ten thousand people go along with it? Huh. As
- 36:38Speaker 1: we previously told you, Kanye got a lot of attention
- 36:41Speaker 1: yesterday for his controversial comments about Harriet Tubman, including actor
- 36:45Speaker 1: Jeffrey Wright, who posted, Harriet Tubman doesn't give a darn
- 36:49Speaker 1: about anybody's coon futurist opinion. Okay, that's what he said,
- 36:55Speaker 1: but I meant jeff Jeffrey Wright, the actor. Yeah, the
- 37:00Speaker 1: actor said that I know, I know, but we gotta
- 37:04Speaker 1: ask us Kanye okay, And to that question, we gotta
- 37:07Speaker 1: say no. I mean, come on, he's been tweeting some
- 37:10Speaker 1: crazy things. One yeah, last night, it's not even funny now. No,
- 37:16Speaker 1: it looks like he really needs help. I mean some
- 37:19Speaker 1: of the tweets where he was saying I got locked
- 37:24Speaker 1: up like Mandela. I mean, this was like every three minutes,
- 37:28Speaker 1: Game was tweeting something. I know. I know Tommy Kim
- 37:33Speaker 1: tried to bring a doctor to lock me up with
- 37:36Speaker 1: a doctor. Chris, call your son in law, just tweets
- 37:40Speaker 1: Chris and Kim call me right now. It's it's how
- 37:45Speaker 1: about this one? Everybody knows the movie get Out is
- 37:48Speaker 1: about me. You wat of course get Out that scary movie. Yea, yeah, yes, crazy. Yeah.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I didn't see the movie, but I'm pretty show it
- 38:04Speaker 1: wasn't about him. I didn't hit Nobody mentioned promo, Jordan
- 38:08Speaker 1: Feels not wrote about No, Damn County ain't. No. Yeah,
- 38:11Speaker 1: but I mean, did anybody Was he in any of
- 38:13Speaker 1: the promos? No, it was it had nothing to do
- 38:17Speaker 1: with Kanye nothing nothing. Yeah, you know, everybody know the
- 38:22Speaker 1: movie Clash of the Titans was about me. Oh really,
- 38:28Speaker 1: you know, wait a minute, was that the name? What
- 38:32Speaker 1: was the movie Denzel was in with the football? Remember
- 38:34Speaker 1: the Titans? Class? Was that one as Cyclops, wasn't it? Yeah?
- 38:42Speaker 1: This is scary though, Yeah, this is scary coming from
- 38:45Speaker 1: Kanye Steve Um. You know, he has been diagnosed as bipolar, right,
- 38:51Speaker 1: and you don't want me to say it, but we
- 38:55Speaker 1: gotta put the straight jacket on. We gotta help, We
- 38:56Speaker 1: gotta take this medication. We gotta sit the aud for
- 38:59Speaker 1: a minute. We need we need a month. But you
- 39:02Speaker 1: know what, Look, it's concerned. His wife has children. Yeah, seriously, man,
- 39:09Speaker 1: we just have to I mean, he says he don't
- 39:10Speaker 1: like taking his madge because it stops him from being creative. Creative. Yeah,
- 39:14Speaker 1: and this is what his level of creativity is right now.
- 39:18Speaker 1: He just needs some help, man, He just have an episode. Man.
- 39:21Speaker 1: We brother need help. The brother needs help. Man, he
- 39:24Speaker 1: just needs help. He's a good dude, man, he just
- 39:28Speaker 1: needs some help. Yeah. Yeah, say one more thing about HEROD.
- 39:33Speaker 1: He gonna need his ass work though. Coming. I'm a
- 39:36Speaker 1: thirty four minutes after the hour, some trending political news.
- 39:40Speaker 1: We'll be right back. You're listening to show Okay, again
- 39:46Speaker 1: we ask what is going on? On Sunday. In an
- 39:50Speaker 1: interview with Fox News, the President continued to push back
- 39:54Speaker 1: on efforts to rename military bases name for Confederate leaders.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Take a listen, because I I think that Fort Bragg,
- 40:01Speaker 1: Fort Robert, and Lee, all of these forts that have
- 40:03Speaker 1: been named that way for a long time, decades and decades.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Excuse me, Okay, what the military says, I do. I'm
- 40:12Speaker 1: supposed to make the decision. Fort Bragg is a big deal.
- 40:16Speaker 1: We won two World Wars. Nobody even knows General Bragg.
- 40:19Speaker 1: We won two World Wars. Go to that community where
- 40:22Speaker 1: Fort Bragg is in a great state. I love that state.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Go to go to the community, say how do you
- 40:28Speaker 1: like the idea of renaming Fort Bragg? And then what
- 40:32Speaker 1: are we going to name it? Are you gonna name
- 40:34Speaker 1: it after the Reverendell Sharpton? Wow? Wow wow wow. Oh,
- 40:44Speaker 1: nobody asked him to name anything after. He's just, he's just,
- 40:49Speaker 1: He's he's a child, very mature. Eric. Here here is
- 41:00Speaker 1: a sad part of it. Here is the guy that
- 41:04Speaker 1: America put in the White House. We have no one
- 41:08Speaker 1: else to blame. I got that the electoral vote, did
- 41:11Speaker 1: it that he lost the popular vote. I got that.
- 41:14Speaker 1: But because the electoral vote is a part of our
- 41:17Speaker 1: archaic system, because of the number of electorals and the votes,
- 41:22Speaker 1: they put him in office. And I got news for you,
- 41:26Speaker 1: there's a large number of people who want him back
- 41:29Speaker 1: in office again. Yeah. Yeah, And this this is the
- 41:35Speaker 1: sad part about it, man, This dude, it's not He's
- 41:39Speaker 1: not presidential at all. You can't think he is. I
- 41:42Speaker 1: don't care. Yeah, I have to. I have to correct
- 41:45Speaker 1: one thing that you said. He he does think that
- 41:48Speaker 1: he won the popular vote. He says because of voter fraud,
- 41:52Speaker 1: he didn't win, but he thinks he won the popular
- 41:55Speaker 1: vote too. He does, he cannot. He said, I don't
- 42:00Speaker 1: even know who brag is. We have who brag is.
- 42:04Speaker 1: The President also defended in that interview the Confederate flag.
- 42:09Speaker 1: He downplayed its racist history. So I mean, there's no
- 42:14Speaker 1: winning with this guy. Who up? Come on? Man? Yeah?
- 42:20Speaker 1: That was like, yeah, really low blow. Also, the President
- 42:26Speaker 1: said yesterday the coronavirus hold. Hold. Can I tell you
- 42:28Speaker 1: what he said? What he meant when he said that,
- 42:31Speaker 1: what do you want to name it after a black person?
- 42:34Speaker 1: That's really what that statement said. He just picked one
- 42:39Speaker 1: to accentuate what he was saying. What the joke was,
- 42:42Speaker 1: What do you want to name it after a black person?
- 42:46Speaker 1: I'm telling you, Manne that's it. Man, that was the joke.
- 42:52Speaker 1: And so then when him and his friends get together
- 42:55Speaker 1: on the golf course, it's no, no, no, no, no
- 42:58Speaker 1: man Della yeah, man, Dallas what they wanted. No, no,
- 43:02Speaker 1: no Garvey, oh no oh here, Oh, they'll name it
- 43:06Speaker 1: Lewis Farakhan. I'm telling you, man, that's team holes. They'll
- 43:10Speaker 1: listen to me. Man, they'll top each other. I've been
- 43:13Speaker 1: around him, that's what they do. The danger in the
- 43:16Speaker 1: statement he made was not just Al Sharpton. It was
- 43:20Speaker 1: any black person. So the joke at the golf course
- 43:23Speaker 1: is name a black person. That would be just as
- 43:25Speaker 1: ridiculous if not. That's what the joke was. Yeah, and
- 43:29Speaker 1: we can say this Revernal never owned any slaves or anything.
- 43:33Speaker 1: So I would be fine if they named it Revernal
- 43:36Speaker 1: Ford Sharpton, Yeah, Fort Fort Revernel whatever, yeah, whatever, Yeah,
- 43:43Speaker 1: as long as we don't name it Fort Trump. Also,
- 43:50Speaker 1: the president said yesterday that the coronavirus briefings will start

- 48:18Speaker 1: I have to call the man out here to fix it.
- 48:21Speaker 1: And that's gonna call some money. I have to pay him.
- 48:23Speaker 1: All I'm saying is if that is the case, if
- 48:26Speaker 1: the paperwork is incorrect, it's not an owners and I'm
- 48:29Speaker 1: gonna have to charge you a little extra money just
- 48:31Speaker 1: so I can get it taken killed to get charge nothing.

- 48:36Speaker 1: no more money. We ain't got no more Lena tell you.
- 48:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you one more time, mister Kendrick. If
- 48:45Speaker 1: don't see you, cha, I'm coming after this evening. And
- 48:47Speaker 1: look at my hand and tune so I'm coming out
- 48:50Speaker 1: there now. If the date and the name ain't fixed,
- 48:53Speaker 1: I promise you so help me. I'm gonna store digging
- 48:57Speaker 1: up but it. And if you're answers out there, I'm
- 48:59Speaker 1: gonna put you want them home. I'll tell you what vegid.
- 49:03Speaker 1: You're not gonna put me in no home? Man, I
- 49:05Speaker 1: like I say, I try to. I'm trying to talk
- 49:08Speaker 1: to you and tell you what the deal is and
- 49:11Speaker 1: how we will get this fix. Ain't nobody come out
- 49:14Speaker 1: here and dig it up? Nothing? I I and I'm putting.
- 49:20Speaker 1: If you don't fix, then we're both were going in
- 49:23Speaker 1: the damn hole. That's what's gonna happen. We're going in
- 49:26Speaker 1: that because somebody want to fix and put the room.
- 49:30Speaker 1: You want to put the everything. But I don't even
- 49:35Speaker 1: answer the damn phone, and my uncle get exxissing region
- 49:40Speaker 1: region fix nothing. Me and you yelling at each other.
- 49:45Speaker 1: We mean, we don't do this. Yelling at each other
- 49:48Speaker 1: is not gonna fix the problems. I still have to
- 49:51Speaker 1: do a step here. I have to look at this paperwork.
- 49:53Speaker 1: But when are you gonna look at it? The region
- 49:55Speaker 1: you keep yelling. I don't even have time to gold
- 49:57Speaker 1: with its paperwork. Every time I get really look at something,
- 49:59Speaker 1: you're yelling in my Okay, let me say this to
- 50:01Speaker 1: you one more time. I'm come at mandifucker. I'm gonna

- 54:41Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter.
- 54:44Speaker 1: All right, nephew, thank you. Subject Why must he continue
- 54:47Speaker 1: to text other women? Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been with
- 54:51Speaker 1: my husband for six years and we've been married for
- 54:54Speaker 1: two years. I have myself to blame for what I'm
- 54:57Speaker 1: going through now because it was an issue before or
- 55:00Speaker 1: we got married. My husband has a problem with texting
- 55:04Speaker 1: and talking to other females. When I've addressed the issue
- 55:08Speaker 1: with him, he always says, nothing is wrong with texting
- 55:11Speaker 1: and talking as long as I'm not crossing the line
- 55:14Speaker 1: or trying to date anybody. I believe that if one
- 55:18Speaker 1: of the women he talks to or Texas comes on
- 55:20Speaker 1: to him, then he will take them up on the offer.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I have busted him numerous times, and then he'll block
- 55:28Speaker 1: the lady's number, But he's so clueless. I can go
- 55:32Speaker 1: to his block messages and still read those two. He
- 55:36Speaker 1: will delete his text messages from the entire day before
- 55:39Speaker 1: he gets home, and when I check his phone, his
- 55:42Speaker 1: text messages, his text message and call logs are blank.
- 55:46Speaker 1: If he changes his passcode on the phone, it's an
- 55:50Speaker 1: immediate argument. The last time I called him texting a lady,
- 55:54Speaker 1: I called her and told her he's married. She said
- 55:58Speaker 1: she had no idea that he was married, and she
- 56:01Speaker 1: said he never got inappropriate with her because she is
- 56:05Speaker 1: married too. She apologized to me, and I told her
- 56:08Speaker 1: no need. I just wanted her to know how my
- 56:10Speaker 1: husband operates. I told her that he'd probably be reaching
- 56:14Speaker 1: out to her again soon. She screenshot all of the
- 56:17Speaker 1: textas he sent to her, and they were innocent. But
- 56:19Speaker 1: I'm no fool. Isn't that the way it starts with
- 56:23Speaker 1: an innocent text They get acquainted on the phone, they
- 56:26Speaker 1: meet somewhere, and then bam, they're having sex. It's disrespectful
- 56:31Speaker 1: and he doesn't see it that way. Isn't texting and
- 56:34Speaker 1: talking a form of cheating? Or could I be overthinking this. Wow,
- 56:40Speaker 1: A lot's going on in this letter. I'll start out
- 56:43Speaker 1: this way and ask you, why are you questioning and
- 56:47Speaker 1: doubting yourself? I mean, your instincts are good, right, and
- 56:50Speaker 1: something doesn't feel right to you, and you've checked him
- 56:53Speaker 1: on it several times. You've checked his phone, you've checked
- 56:56Speaker 1: him in person when he gets home from work. You're
- 57:00Speaker 1: checking his phone. You don't trust him at all, But
- 57:03Speaker 1: I mean it's okay to check him. It really is okay.
- 57:07Speaker 1: It's all right if you don't like him talking and
- 57:09Speaker 1: texting to other texting other women. You do have every
- 57:12Speaker 1: right to feel that way that you don't like it,
- 57:15Speaker 1: you know. So I don't think you're overthinking here. I
- 57:18Speaker 1: think you are doing a bit much with taking his
- 57:21Speaker 1: phone and all of that. But again, you don't trust him,
- 57:24Speaker 1: and him as your husband should not ignore or dismiss
- 57:30Speaker 1: your feelings, and he should not take sides with these
- 57:32Speaker 1: other women. I mean, because that's what he's doing when
- 57:35Speaker 1: he's telling you it's okay and all of that. You
- 57:37Speaker 1: don't feel right about it, So why is he taking
- 57:40Speaker 1: their side? The problem is that you said he did
- 57:44Speaker 1: this before you guys got married. That's the problem. You
- 57:47Speaker 1: ignored that blaring red flag. You ignored it. It was
- 57:50Speaker 1: right there. You probably thought, like a lot of women,
- 57:53Speaker 1: that he was gonna stop doing it once you got married,
- 57:56Speaker 1: or he was gonna change. You know, we always think
- 57:58Speaker 1: we could change the guy. This should not be an issue, though.
- 58:02Speaker 1: I just really don't think this should be an issue
- 58:04Speaker 1: because it's a small thing in the grand scheme of
- 58:06Speaker 1: things for you and your marriage. I think your husband
- 58:11Speaker 1: should give it up. I really do all that erasing
- 58:14Speaker 1: text messages before he gets home and all of that.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Come on, Who wants to go through that every day?
- 58:21Speaker 1: But I guess he has to. If you're going to
- 58:22Speaker 1: check his phone, he can put your mind at ease
- 58:25Speaker 1: and you can really trust him again if he just stops.
- 58:27Speaker 1: It's one little thing. I think it's a small sacrifice
- 58:30Speaker 1: for a happy marriage. And yes, to answer your question,
- 58:33Speaker 1: there is a such thing as emotional cheating and all
- 58:36Speaker 1: of that. You know, even if he is just texting
- 58:39Speaker 1: and talking to a person, you know you're you have
- 58:42Speaker 1: some sort of emotional investment in it. So if you
- 58:45Speaker 1: don't like it, I think he should stop because you
- 58:47Speaker 1: do not like and it makes you uncomfortable. Steve I
- 58:51Speaker 1: really struggle with this letter on several levels, from her standpoint,
- 58:57Speaker 1: from his standpoint, from their stand part. The subject is
- 59:01Speaker 1: why must he continue to text other women? Let's just
- 59:05Speaker 1: answer that question. Because he liked it, because it feel
- 59:10Speaker 1: good to it. He is enjoying himself, He's getting something
- 59:16Speaker 1: out of it. That's something he's getting out of it
- 59:20Speaker 1: that he likes, and it's the exchange between him and
- 59:24Speaker 1: the other women. You're not having trouble with him texting guys.
- 59:29Speaker 1: You're having trouble with him texting women. Now, when you
- 59:33Speaker 1: address the issue, he always say, ain't nothing wrong with
- 59:36Speaker 1: texting and talking as long as I'm not crossing the
- 59:39Speaker 1: line or trying to date anybody. Well, then later on
- 59:42Speaker 1: in the letter, you say that he'll block a lady's number,
- 59:46Speaker 1: But he's clueless because you can go to his block
- 59:49Speaker 1: messages and still read them too. I've done is this dude?
- 59:54Speaker 1: Then you say he'll delete his text messages from the
- 59:58Speaker 1: entire day. When he gets home, when I check his phone,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: his text message and call logs are blank. Ain't nobody
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: got to sell phone, Ain't nobody calling ass all damn day?
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: So now, if it is innocent, like he say, if
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: ain't nothing wrong with texting and talking, why you erase it? Right?
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: It's not just because you'll see he'd been doing it
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: all these texts ain't innocent. I can tell you that
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: right now. Hold on, Steve, hold on in part two
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: of your response, coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: the hour, Today's subject is why must he continue to
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: text other women? We'll be back with more of the
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter Part two right after this. You're listening to
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject why must he continue
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: to text other women? He texting other women cause he
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: like it, because he likes he's been texting him. He say,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: ain't nothing wrong with texting them long as he ain't
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: crossing the line. You know, but you busted him several times.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: He'll block a lady's number. But he's so Cluses clueless
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: because I can go to his block messages and still
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: read them too. I love her. Dam I didn't know
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: that he had delete his text messages from the whole
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: day before he come home, and when I checked his phone,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: the Texas and call logs is blank. Then if he
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: changes his pass code on his phone. It's an immediate argument.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: This is a lot of stuff he doing, blocking, erasing,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: changing past codes for nothing. If nothing is wrong with
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: texting and talking as long as you ain't crossing the line.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: But if you crossing the line, you got to change
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: your pass code and you got the ratio Texas. Then
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: he got real bold. One time you caught him texting
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: a lady. You call her, told her he was married.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: She ain't, had no idea was married, and it said
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: he never got inappropriate with her because she married too.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Then she apologized to you and told I told her
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: no need, I just wanted her to know how your
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: husband operate. Then you told her that he'll probably be
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: reaching out to her again soon. Damn you you know this.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Then she screamed, shot all the texts he sent to her,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: and they were innocent. But I'm no fool. Ain't that
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: the way it starts with an innocent text? She married?
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: He mad both of them texting each other, why because
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: they both like it. Then they get acquainted on the phone,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: they meet somewhere and bam, they have a sex. That's
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: pretty accurate. See, yeah, that's where she said. It's disrespectful
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: and he don't see it that way. Then you said,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: now you've said all this, and then you asked me
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: and Shirley, isn't texting and talking a form of cheating? Or?
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Could I be overthinking this? Texting and talking ain't cheating.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: I don't think it's just texting and talking. What becomes
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: to cheating? It's what you're texting and talking about. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: it could be what you got on that cheating. Yeah,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: it's emotional cheating. What you wear. He let me see it, screenshot,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: shoot it to him. That's it. Kind talk girl, hold on,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: let me send you mine. That's it. Then the lady says,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: or could I be overthinking this? You overthinking it? You overreacting,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: he's overdoing it. You over you over everything. You gotta
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: check his phone. He gotta block the messages, block the text,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: clean out his call, law, clean out his message law,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: change his past. Who you find it out? You found
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: out a way to check the block text messages? Could
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I be overthinking this? All you doing is thinking? You've
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: been told a married woman. He gon he gonna call
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: you again. She sent you all the texts they had.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: But Steve, let me ask you this, why isn't it.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Why isn't he trying to stop doing this since he
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: knows it upsets her so much and knows that she
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: doesn't trust him. Why he isn't he because he don't care?
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Do you care more about what he doing than her feeling? Exactly?
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: That's simple as that. Yeah, I'm not gonna stop doing
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: this because I like it more than I love being
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: your husband. Right and the threat of you see, first
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: of all, you've not threatened leaving him. All you just
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: said is could I be overthinking this? You ain't threatened
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: to leave. You ain't said this is unacceptable. I'm not
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: going to accept this. I'm not taking this. You ain't
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: said none of this. All you asked me and Shirley
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: was could I be overthinking it? If that's where you
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: act with it, why do you have to stop? Ain't
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: no ultimatum, Ain't no consequences. Oh you just go overthink?
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I got you thinking now that you overthinking it? Checkmate?
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: I win man. Most men are not married to you, lady.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: I can tell you that about this marriage is in trouble.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Who is this on? Here? Wait a minute? What are
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: your phone messages? Come on? Who you delete it? Hold on? Trust,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, Wait a minute, ma'am you say
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: this is my husband? Yes, waiting my hold on, hold
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: one just hold on, hold on one second. Herman, why herman?
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Come in to hell here? It's her? You know who?
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Her who? You've been texting herman? It's Barbara. All these
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: is old ass people, yes, because they got old last names.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Ain't nobody named named baby Bobara in a long time.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: It's been a minute. When I come back, I'm gonna
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: give you a list of names to let you know
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: you was born in the sixties. We'll be right there,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: all right. Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter at
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Please check out
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming up. Steve's gonna
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: give us a list of names, like he said. Also,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Junior Sports Talk coming up at forty six minutes after
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: the hour, Houston Rocket star James Harden. Right after this,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, for
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: this Strawberry Letter, you were going to give us a
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: list of names that lets you know a person was
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: born on before nineteen seven. Okay, old name, you were
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: born before nineteen seven? Okay, Patricia, my mama, ill Lords
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: or Eloise Harriet, Yeah yeah, I gave you hermit oldest.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Anybody come to see you, old body. We don't get
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: any more oldest anymore. Claris clar Clarence Harpo. We didn't
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: hear about that. Tilliss, Margaret, Yeah, yeah, yeah, Joanne Glad
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Gwen boy. Carol's name Carolyn. I used to
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: know these twins, Carolyn and Maryland. Both of them. He's
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: are named to let you know you were born Befo
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: nineteen seventy. All right, thank you, sir, Onto Junior. Now
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: what's your guy for us? Junior? What's this about? James Harden?
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: My city made the news for the wrong reasons. Houston
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Rockets shooting guard James Harden has a simple explation for
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: why he sported a pro police face mask amid a
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: national conversation over police brutality. He said, he just like
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: the way it looked. I mean, that's all he said.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: It just it just looked good. What he said, I
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: trying to make a political statement. But you did when
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: you wore the mask, when you showed up to camp.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: What did it say? It was the mask that Blue
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Lives matter? Blue, its Blue Lives Matter. It's the it's
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: the it's the mask, the U for Blue Lives Matter,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: for the police. He got one on and he black.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: What the hell? You know how much stuff you could
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: have put on instead of this man. You could have
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: wore a helmet in there, he said, it covered his
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: face and his beard. That is not the reason. And
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: we got all of this stuff going on over police brutality.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Now you're gonna win in there. Way to go, James,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: way to represent Houston. We're not gonna win. That's what
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: you got out of that, Junior. That's your tech. We
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: might not gonna win. All right, Well, thank you, Junior.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: We appreciate that. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Carlo's Music News right after this. You're listening, all right, Carla, girl,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: what you got in today's music news? Besides first of all, yeah, girl, guys,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: listen to this. Kanye you know, we talked about it
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: earlier in the show, tweeting last night, tweeting up a storm,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: and like we said, it's really scary. He's just really unraveling,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: uh he one of his tweets, Yes, surely, Kim was
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: me up like on the movie get Out because I
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: cried about saving my daughter's life yesterday. Uh NBC. Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: When he talks about you know, he talks about abortion.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: He he talks about a lot of personal things, and
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: I'm sure Kim was upset about that. He also tweeted,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: NBC locked me up, Bill, NBC locked up Bill Cosby,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: and then he tweeted, I love my wife. My family
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: must live next to me. It's not up to E
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: or NBC anymore. And you know, E News is obviously
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: the network home to Keeping Up with the Kardashian's reality show.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Yeah there, Yeah, he gotta he got a dollar back.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Man got there, but he got it. He don't have
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: enough people around him to pull him in and take
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: care obviously not. Yeah, hey, bro, and the movie get
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Out was not about you, Kanye B. Listen to me.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: When you are the one making the money, paying the money,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: it's you easily have a lot of people around you
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: who just go along with whatever you do to keep
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: their lifestyle open, I e. The President. Haven't you seen
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: this recently? This is the same example. Here's a guy
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: who tweets stuff that everybody in his party knows it's
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: the wrong thing to tweet. Everybody knows. His kids know
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: it's wrong, his wife know it's wrong, his cabinet members
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: know he wrong. But because he's the guy at the
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: top that determines if they stay in power up position,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: guess what they're going along with it? And just to
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: find it. How many press secretaries he didn't head and
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: quit because it's hard to wake up and live every day.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: And this and this new girl he got, she gonna
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: fall apart anyway. I noticed her eye lash the other
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: day was a little off center. Yeah, Steve, I told y'all,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: didn't I saw it in Sarah Huckabee. I said, this
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: ain't gonna work, man. This woman, I said, look, man,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: they don't look like they're doing good smooch. And this
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: woman right here the other day, she normally keeps herself
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: pretty well put together. I don't care for her thoughts
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: at all, but she keeps herself put together. I saw
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: that eyelash kind of not get put on all the
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: way right. This is the beginning of the Oh, oh,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: she gonna last a while because she gritty, she real gritty. Yeah,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: and she really believes in Donald Trump. But this case,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: this will last. This could last up to election because
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: she think it could mean four more years, but she
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: ain't gonna make it, man, and you knows as you
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: talk about that and all of us being heavy, I'm
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: still looking at these Kanye tweets. So when he said
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: that about his family needs to live next to him
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: in Wyoming, is not up to NBC and E. So
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: he he must be talking about he wanted them to
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: move to Wyoming. But they're probably saying they have to
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: stay in La because of the show, the show keeping
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: up with because of the show keeping up with the Kardashians.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: This is really well, yeah, they say this is according
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: to the Yeah, but if he got a billion dollars over,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: I was Kim I going up there just be keeping
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: up with Kanye. Yeah, this is according to TMZ to Carla.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: They're saying that their sources say that, um, Kanye is
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: in the middle of a serious mental health episode, like
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: you said, and those around him have urged him to
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: get help. But the decision has to be Kanye's. Absolutely, Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: the Wyoming. He gonna walk outside and be outside trying
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: to catch wolves one day and it ain't gonna go good. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: But that's the problem. He's gotta be wolf. He's got
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: to want it. He's got to want it. Yeah, that's
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: the problem. All right, Well, we'll be back. We'll be
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: back with more across of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour, right after this, you're
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: listening to Stow. Yeah, this thing with Kanye, we were
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: talking about it before we went to break. It's so serious.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Now mental health is very serious. Well, you know what,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: what Kanye needs several things. This this this god he's
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: been singing about. He got to go to him at
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: moments like this. But Kanye, he needs two men in
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: his life. He needs an older man who has been there,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: done that and can say yo, man. But Kanye needs
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: a peer. He needs a peer, an equal. Yeah you
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: know that dude, that where you're getting ready to do something,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: he goes, Yo, my man, you can do what Hold up.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: It's like, for example, whoever drove Kanye down to TMZ
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: that time when he made that crazy statement on TMZ. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: whoever drove him down there? See that ain't who he needs.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: He need that peer to go all right, Kanye, I'm
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: going all right where we're rolling going down to TMZ
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: and the car automatically just start slowing down. Where we're
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: going down TMZ, TMZ for what, I'm going there and
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: we're going in with Harvey? What what what Kanye? We're
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: gonna go down there. What we gonna talk about on
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: TMZ though, I'm gonna tell in as slavery was a choice? Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: going in house, get yourself some ice cream, Kim, Yeah,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: talk to it. Yeah, that's what you need. Man, Going
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: in makes all right. We'll have more of the Steve
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show and trending viral video news out of
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Los Angeles. Congresswoman Maxine Waters was driving around her district
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: in LA when she noticed police officers had detained a
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: black motorist, so she stopped to monitor the officers and
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: to keep them in check. Take a listen as Congress
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: when Congresswoman Waters u tells bystanders that officers might give
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: her a ticket for parking illegally. Check it out. I'm
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: in the road. They said, that's okay, as long as
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: I watched gott sure, all right. I gotta said. I
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: was at the wrong said, they're gonna give me a
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: legal ticket, so I got to watch deal. Well. I
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: respect the fact that she's in her district, checking out
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: what's going on in her district, serving the people, checking
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: on the cops. Yes, huh, go ahead's right. Wires that
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: is right, mean more than check. Yeah. And other entertainment news,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Tamar Braxon, thank god, is reportedly alert and responsive after
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: a possible suicide attempt, and she has been transferred to
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: a new facility where she is expected to receive treatment
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: for her mental health. Wow. Some good news is in there.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: For sure. She's responsive now because the police were called
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: initially because she was unresponsive. Yeah, that's friend of the show. Yeah,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: prayers have been going up for Tamar and the whole
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Brexton family. Yeah, really good. All right. Um. Finally, in
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: celebrity baby news, Nicki Minaj is pregnant. Yeah. She posted
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: pictures of rumors have been flying about this forever, Now
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: it's real. She posted pictures of her baby bump on
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Instagram and one picture Nikki is rocking one of her
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: signature you know, I think it's a pink wig or
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: yellow wig. A bikini and some clear stiletto heels. You
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: know how she does it. The caption contains just one word,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: It says hashtag praggers. Uh. Then, minutes after she posted
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: her maternity shot, she racked up two million likes and
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: well wishes from her celebrity friends like I'll brace yourself,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Tommy halle Berry, halle Berry with Hanney like it. I
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: like it too, whatever I like. In October of last year,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: you recall NICKI married Kenneth perry Um, a man from
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: her dast she had known Kenneth Petty, a man from
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: her past. Yeah, that's so good for her. She looks
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: happy too, Yeah, she looks happy in those videos and
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: those That's gonna be a lot of babies next year
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: because from March to night, it's been a lot of
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: baby making. It was nine months from now, let's see,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: I mean from March. What was nine months from March December?
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Right March coming up. It's our last break of the day.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: It's the last break of the day. Yes it is.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: And at forty nine minutes after the hour, Steve Harvey
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: will have some closing remarks for us. Right after this.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: are last break of the day on this Tuesday. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: can I do some clothing, But I don't think it's
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: gonna be long, so we may have some time to
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: kill if I don't use it at all. I was
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: just thinking about this voter registration. Surely you were talking
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: about how voter registration is down now. I would assume
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: that it's down primarily because of COVID. I also think
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: that voter registration is down because of the protest. I
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: think that we've been busy quarantining and battling COVID and
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: protesting and being appalled by the deaths of so many
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: young brothers as usual, and I think the movement has
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: taken up a lot of time. But now now that
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: we understand what COVID is, that it's real, that it's
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: not a hoax, and now that we've gotten some involvement
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: from other people on Black Lives Matter, we have those
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: two things that we have to continue to deal with.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Got it. But we got something so important coming up
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: in November that we got to get focused here, man,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: because we've got to turn this anger, We've got to
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: turn this help from other people. We've got to turn
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: this disappointment in our government. We've got to turn all
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: of this hate mongering that's been going on for the
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: past four years, and we got we got to do
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: something to get rid of it. And the best way
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: to get rid of it is to vote. Congressman Lewis,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: who gave his life for equality and rights. He spent
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: his entire life fighting for our rights to vote, to live,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: to participate in the American dream, to be members of
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: the Constitution, just on other error, on every level level.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: And we've all been paying homage to him and saying
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: wonderful things about it. But I've always known the best
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: way to show a person you love them is not
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: with words, but with action. The thing that this man
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: gave his life to for us to have a better way,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: better chances being beat to near death on the bridge
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: in Alabama. I mean, these people exist, man and young
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: people who don't know people who did stuff like that.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: That's why we talk about voting is our right, but
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: it's our obligation because we have ancestors, four fathers, uncles,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: and aunts and grandparents who laid it all on the
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: line just so we could vote. I mean, they called
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: hell trying to vote, so for us not to vote
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: it's it's an absolute disgrace. I got the numbers of
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: loading Shirley's been saying. But there are things we can
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: do when we all vote. Dot org is Michelle Obama's website.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: When we all vote dot org. I want everybody who's
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: not a registered voter right now to go to when
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: we all vote dot org. When we all vote dot org,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: when we all vote, it changes things. I want you
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: on to just prove something to yourself. Just just try it.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Just try it. Man. If all of us were to vote,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: do you know we would determine who was in the
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: White House in November? If all of us vote. When
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: we all vote, we move the needle in a mighty way.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Don't you think we don't, Because that's why they covered
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: our votes so so preciously. That's why they ask for
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: it over and over and over again. Now when they
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: get it and they get an office, they don't do
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: nothing with it. I got that. But there are some
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: people out there who is ready to change some things.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: This country is at a point where it can make
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: a turn if we stay with it. That our corporations
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: who are listening to us now. The NFL is listening now.
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: Corporate sponsors are listening now. When that lady reported that
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: phone call, that fake phone call to the African American
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: man who was a bird watcher in New York, do
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: you know her job fired her? Do you know how
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: many times they've caught all people on tape making racist
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: remarks and the company said, we don't support that, and
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: they've let people go. There is a turn happening in
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: this country. So since the turn is coming, why don't
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: we help give it a big push in November. If
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: you're tired of what's happening in Washington, d C. If
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: you're embarrassed by the things that this man has said,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: if you see the this divisiveness being spread by what
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: this man tweets, and and chance and the rhetoric, if
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: you're sick and tired of his followers acting like they
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: better than you, we can do something about it when
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: we all vote dot org. When we all vote dot org,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: I want everybody listen. Man. If you're not a registered voter,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: it's okay. Snoop Dogg said he voted for the first time.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: It's okay to admit that. It's no problem with that
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: moving forward, though it will be a problem if we
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: don't vote, because if you don't vote, I can promise
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: you this cannot survive for more years of this guy.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: This guy is going to do some stuff that you've
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: never seen done before if he doesn't have to worry
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: about being reelected. We have got to do something. Go
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: to when we all vote dot org and make this
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: the year that we make the biggest difference in the
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: history of politics when we all vote dot org. Thank you,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: all right, sir? Used up? All right? Get that voter
