- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now one it only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harley got a radio show today. I want to
- 2:14Speaker 1: just share something with you along your way to wherever
- 2:23Speaker 1: it is you're trying to get to. You know, everybody
- 2:26Speaker 1: has a different definition for success, and I'm not. I'm
- 2:30Speaker 1: not here to tell you what joy should be. I mean,
- 2:32Speaker 1: please pursue whatever you think success. He is aim as
- 2:36Speaker 1: high as you can though, that's for sure. My father
- 2:42Speaker 1: used to say all the time. I'm sure you all
- 2:43Speaker 1: have heard it in different variations, but he used to
- 2:46Speaker 1: always say, aim for the moon. Just in case you miss,
- 2:50Speaker 1: you'll still be amongst the stars. Just say that to
- 2:53Speaker 1: me all the time. So that always was in me
- 2:56Speaker 1: to aim high. Now he was saying aim with the
- 3:01Speaker 1: intent to miss. He was just saying aim In case
- 3:06Speaker 1: you miss, you're still amongst the stars. If you aim
- 3:10Speaker 1: for the moon. But if you just aim for that
- 3:12Speaker 1: first flow window and you miss it, you know, usually
- 3:17Speaker 1: run into some type of wall and nothing happens. You
- 3:20Speaker 1: slither down. You know. In my book, act like a lady,
- 3:23Speaker 1: think like a man. I told her people that men
- 3:26Speaker 1: love three ways. They profess, they provide, they protect, and
- 3:30Speaker 1: that's the core essence of a man's love. Well, there's
- 3:34Speaker 1: some other peas in life too. The number one thing
- 3:38Speaker 1: you have to understand about trying to be successful, and
- 3:44Speaker 1: I guess I call this the four peas. I may
- 3:46Speaker 1: come up with five along the way. I don't know.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm just talking as is given to me. So I'm
- 3:52Speaker 1: gonna summer start by saying, as these are the four
- 3:55Speaker 1: peas of success that you have to get ready for.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Number one on it's pressure. A lot of it is
- 4:03Speaker 1: applied by the circumstance of what you're trying to go
- 4:07Speaker 1: for and what you're trying to do, but a lot
- 4:11Speaker 1: of it also is self imposed pressure. It's what you
- 4:16Speaker 1: put on yourself to make it. It's a sense of urgency,
- 4:22Speaker 1: it's a sense of necessity. But pressure is the first
- 4:28Speaker 1: thing I want you to be ready for. And pressure
- 4:30Speaker 1: comes in a lot of different forms, but it's going
- 4:33Speaker 1: to be pressured. As an old saying that pressure buster
- 4:36Speaker 1: to pipe. See, that's why most people turn around, because
- 4:39Speaker 1: of the pressure of trying to be successful. I want
- 4:42Speaker 1: you to get it in your mind that it is
- 4:45Speaker 1: going to be a pressure rized situation on your rise
- 4:48Speaker 1: to the top. Pressure, but understand that that is what
- 4:53Speaker 1: it is. Is not going to change. That's it. Prepare yourself,
- 4:59Speaker 1: get ready for there to be pressure. The second thing
- 5:04Speaker 1: I want you to understand is when you receive this pressure,
- 5:08Speaker 1: you have to persist. You got to stay at it.
- 5:13Speaker 1: You got to develop a dog getness has a there's
- 5:20Speaker 1: a song he says, why must I feel like that?
- 5:26Speaker 1: Why must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog
- 5:30Speaker 1: in me? That's a funny line in that song, because
- 5:35Speaker 1: really I was thinking about it one day. I was
- 5:37Speaker 1: humming it and and it, and it occurred to me, said,
- 5:42Speaker 1: why must I feel like that? Why must I chase
- 5:45Speaker 1: the cat? Nothing but the dog get me? And you know,
- 5:51Speaker 1: now you could take it into literal says that the
- 5:53Speaker 1: cat chases the dog because it's innately is in his spirit.
- 5:57Speaker 1: That cats and dogs are a lot of times enemies.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Now people have pets in him, proving that if you
- 6:03Speaker 1: show love on both sides, they can exist. And that
- 6:06Speaker 1: happens too, but naturally innately, when your cat goes by
- 6:11Speaker 1: a dog and your dog don't recognize him, that some
- 6:13Speaker 1: barking going on. I'm talking about just walking through the
- 6:16Speaker 1: neighborhood or something. So, but the reason that this dog's
- 6:22Speaker 1: so persistent towards this cat is just cause it's in him.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's innately in him. And what I'm saying to you,
- 6:32Speaker 1: just using that as an analogy, is that you got
- 6:36Speaker 1: to be you got to be persistent in that. You
- 6:42Speaker 1: got to develop some dog in you now because pressure
- 6:46Speaker 1: takes some fighting back. See if you don't fight back
- 6:50Speaker 1: against pressure, pressure buster pipes, So what you think it
- 6:52Speaker 1: will do to you? Pressure, crack walls, pressure calls, explosions.
- 6:58Speaker 1: So if you don't fight back to hold it in,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you understand pressure does most people in the simple thing
- 7:06Speaker 1: called pressure, the weight of what it feels like to
- 7:10Speaker 1: want to be successful every single day, over and over
- 7:13Speaker 1: and over and over and over. It's just too much pressure.
- 7:17Speaker 1: People crack. You got to persist. You have to persist.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You can. The thought of giving up can come, but
- 7:26Speaker 1: you got to get it out. You gotta persist. The
- 7:31Speaker 1: next thing I want you to think about is another
- 7:35Speaker 1: something that I've been thinking about for years and learn
- 7:38Speaker 1: for years. It's called perseverance. To persist means to insist.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Keyword in insist and persistence insists you must. You must
- 7:51Speaker 1: insist that this is going to happen. Now. The persist
- 7:55Speaker 1: I'm assuming means it's a proaction. It's some type of
- 7:58Speaker 1: proaction that you go to was it to make it?
- 8:02Speaker 1: You know, persist, you gotta be persisted. You gotta be
- 8:05Speaker 1: constantly at it, insisting that it happens. You gotta be
- 8:08Speaker 1: constantly at it. But the next thing I want you
- 8:10Speaker 1: to remembers perseverance. Perseverance is important. Perseverance means that when
- 8:17Speaker 1: you've done your best, when you've persisted, when you're fighting
- 8:22Speaker 1: back against the pressure. Perseverance simply means I'm going to
- 8:27Speaker 1: hang in here when if a crack come into pipe,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna hang in there. If the pipe bust, I'm
- 8:35Speaker 1: gonna keep going. If I gotta put duct, take mud,
- 8:40Speaker 1: whatever I got to put on this thing. Man, I'm
- 8:43Speaker 1: gonna use perseverance. I'm going to stay with it no
- 8:48Speaker 1: matter what. So we're looking at the three things again.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You got to understand that it's gonna be pressure that
- 8:55Speaker 1: you're gonna have to persist. Keyword and persistence insist. You
- 9:00Speaker 1: have to insist that no matter what the pressure is,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna stay with it. But then perseverance. If it
- 9:06Speaker 1: goes wrong, Man, you got to get in there and
- 9:10Speaker 1: keep fighting. But then Lord Him Mercy. Nothing helps you
- 9:15Speaker 1: handle the three peas better than the fourth pea. You
- 9:18Speaker 1: got to pray. You got to use prayer. You gotta
- 9:22Speaker 1: talk to God. You gotta use faith. You gotta have
- 9:26Speaker 1: some conferences with him late at night, early in the morning,
- 9:30Speaker 1: in the middle of the afternoon, when you own the train,
- 9:33Speaker 1: when you're driving. You got to talk to God. Man,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you gotta get yourself some help along the way. Nothing
- 9:39Speaker 1: is bigger than prayer. There is nothing bigger than prayer.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Prayer will help you overcome the pressure. Prayer will help
- 9:46Speaker 1: you stay persistent, and Lord Him Mercy, prayer will help
- 9:49Speaker 1: you persevere. Them as the faux pas that just came
- 9:53Speaker 1: to me today. God gave that to me. I'm passing
- 9:56Speaker 1: it on show. Ladies and gentleman man, have your attention
- 10:03Speaker 1: please today's show. It's dedicated to people who love cabbage.
- 10:13Speaker 1: This is just for people who love cabbage, cabage, whoever
- 10:19Speaker 1: you are, a matter of fact, you don't even have
- 10:21Speaker 1: to love it. If it's on your plate, you'll eat it.
- 10:24Speaker 1: This is who this show is dedicated to. I don't
- 10:27Speaker 1: know nobody loves cabbage, but if it's on your plate,
- 10:30Speaker 1: you'll eat it. But I don't know nobody love it.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I love it. And rice, cabbage and rice. Yeah, I
- 10:39Speaker 1: have some country assie. Just too much light stuff on
- 10:48Speaker 1: the plate. You know, cabbage got too many light colored
- 10:53Speaker 1: leaves and it could be thrown the next it's some rice.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I had cabbage yesterday. I like it. Sherley Strawberry, How
- 10:59Speaker 1: you doing? Love me some cabbage, the vegetable and the money. Morning,
- 11:06Speaker 1: Steve Colin, Real, good morning. I love cabbage as well.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Delicious Morning crew, Junior boy. Morning, I'm here. Yeah what really?
- 11:29Speaker 1: What every wall that wouldn't to give away? Right? Okay,
- 11:44Speaker 1: all right, coming Tom big dog? What it do? Baby?
- 11:48Speaker 1: Let me tell you? Someone take that cabbage. Cut that
- 11:51Speaker 1: cabbage in fours. Take you some strips of bacon and
- 11:54Speaker 1: wrap it around each four of the cabbage and put
- 11:57Speaker 1: that thing on the grill and let it smoke. And
- 11:59Speaker 1: you got something. I'm trying to tell you. Your gotsha
- 12:05Speaker 1: now some cabbage, Wrap it around that cabbage and let
- 12:09Speaker 1: it smoke. To get that promise you you're gonna have
- 12:12Speaker 1: a flavor out this word cabbage and bacon. Yep, sounds good,
- 12:19Speaker 1: don't Tommy, I ain't knocking it. You know. I've never
- 12:26Speaker 1: been a big bacon man anyway, but I'm so I'm
- 12:29Speaker 1: not knocking like. I've never understood baking on the burger,
- 12:32Speaker 1: never got that concept. What do not like? I don't
- 12:36Speaker 1: want bacon? Yeah, but I stopped that years ago. I
- 12:43Speaker 1: ain't had bacon and eggs and years. What about when
- 12:46Speaker 1: they wrapped the bacon around the shrimp? I can't stand there.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Why would you take sea food put some damn pork
- 12:52Speaker 1: on here? Speak food? I'm not understanding what are we
- 12:55Speaker 1: going for here? Okay, okay, I'm trying to be healthy,
- 12:59Speaker 1: but really, but you'll either pork butt like it ain't no? Boy?
- 13:07Speaker 1: Are we talk? Boy? Boy? Boy? But I have told y'all. Well,
- 13:16Speaker 1: I've told y'all repeatedly. Once you put a slab of
- 13:19Speaker 1: reels over open flame, it loses all pork properties and
- 13:25Speaker 1: becomes a meet within itself called Bobby Q. I gotta
- 13:31Speaker 1: agree with that, all right. Well, listen up, coming up
- 13:35Speaker 1: at thirty two after the hour, we're gonna have a
- 13:36Speaker 1: little bit of a weekend review. We'll find out what
- 13:38Speaker 1: the crew did over the weekend. We'll talk about it
- 13:40Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show. Okay, time now
- 13:45Speaker 1: for a weekend review. Let's find out what we did
- 13:48Speaker 1: over the weekend. Steve, what did you do over this weekend? Well?
- 13:53Speaker 1: I'm really good, man, I'm really really good. You know,
- 13:58Speaker 1: what I did this weekend was very private? Okay, that's fun.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Wasn't anything. My weekend didn't start until yesterday, and all
- 14:12Speaker 1: I've been doing is uh, just packing, preparing to leave.
- 14:16Speaker 1: So that's all I do. You know, Yeah, where your
- 14:22Speaker 1: rich ass gone? Where are your rich ass gone? That's going?
- 14:29Speaker 1: Come on, come on, packed the raw baggage. No, Master
- 14:34Speaker 1: Harvey's leaving now now, now, this fairy body. They want
- 14:41Speaker 1: to know what everybody did this weekend. It ain't just
- 14:43Speaker 1: about me. What did you do this weekend? All right? Me?
- 14:46Speaker 1: I did? Uh, Comic Club Columbia, South Carolina and ran
- 14:50Speaker 1: into Junior and Jay who also did. We had no
- 14:55Speaker 1: idea we was in the same city they did, the
- 14:58Speaker 1: township of Auditorium. Listen to each other at all. We
- 15:03Speaker 1: were talking about this all week, had lunch and everything,
- 15:06Speaker 1: and lunch with George. I love me some George Wallace.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You know that he's still on stage. He's still right
- 15:14Speaker 1: now in the morning. Right. But but listen, Steve, Jay's
- 15:19Speaker 1: being a little modest here. We gotta say congratulations to Jay.
- 15:22Speaker 1: He received Steve the key to his hometown, Columbia, South Carolina.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But surely you were there for the ceremony. No, it
- 15:34Speaker 1: was the worst he could have seen. The servant you
- 15:37Speaker 1: ever want to be a part of. Why because George
- 15:41Speaker 1: Walls and Jay couldn't stop talking about each other even
- 15:44Speaker 1: during the ceremony. Dozens. So was it after the show
- 15:48Speaker 1: was over? Now it was a photo show. Jay didn't
- 15:51Speaker 1: want to go on stage and get the key because
- 15:53Speaker 1: he said they ain't seen me yet. That's what you said, Jay, Yeah,
- 15:59Speaker 1: but that's what you thought you should they after the
- 16:04Speaker 1: show was over. No, they had it before, and they
- 16:06Speaker 1: had it in Jay's dressing room, so we all in
- 16:08Speaker 1: dressing roo who's gonna see him get the key in
- 16:11Speaker 1: the dressing room? Don't worry about it, doesn't matter. But George,
- 16:17Speaker 1: George and James Brown started talking by each other's money.
- 16:20Speaker 1: It was so much stuff. They kept saying. What happened
- 16:24Speaker 1: was I was in Steve. No, I'm very nervous before unbelievable.
- 16:29Speaker 1: It's like, truly unbelievable. So I didn't want to go
- 16:32Speaker 1: out before and didn't have to go back out. And
- 16:35Speaker 1: the ceremony should be done at the end of your show.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And that's that's true. Yeah, but I want to thank
- 16:40Speaker 1: the man for giving me the key. I mean, was
- 16:42Speaker 1: there appreciative, but I was so that I was in
- 16:45Speaker 1: the bathroom really when they were no more for me,
- 16:47Speaker 1: I was, hello, I do not know we know that,
- 16:52Speaker 1: and he ain't in that saying it that same. I'm
- 16:56Speaker 1: so nervous before I go on stage. It's unbelievable. I
- 17:00Speaker 1: don't know what it is like before it's the worst. Oh,
- 17:05Speaker 1: he's an amazing, brilliant but before getting that though law
- 17:11Speaker 1: and I've seen him back stage, No, and it's so
- 17:13Speaker 1: different because I go to see Tommy. He's at the
- 17:15Speaker 1: comedy club. He back then. You know they cooking and
- 17:17Speaker 1: making shrimp and you know, they pressing his clothes up
- 17:23Speaker 1: and everything, and he would relax, even dress and nothing.
- 17:30Speaker 1: You wearing that. George said that was a little key.
- 17:36Speaker 1: What did you tell George about the key? Oh, George said,
- 17:40Speaker 1: that's it. He said, that's the key. He said, that's
- 17:43Speaker 1: a very small kid. And I said, well, that's key
- 17:46Speaker 1: to mama's house. And then he's you said that in
- 17:50Speaker 1: front of the mayor, the mayor, y'all playing Mama's in
- 17:54Speaker 1: front of the mayor. Steve Benjamin by the way, very
- 18:01Speaker 1: good man, very good man. But it was a great week.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Thank you guys for the key to the city. I
- 18:06Speaker 1: went to see time and Junior did, did, Georgia did?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Everybody had good time. It was all right. Congratulations Jay.
- 18:14Speaker 1: They're recording the whole time. Jay's getting Yeah, I saw it.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I did see it. I got a question for Steve though,
- 18:25Speaker 1: because Jay Anthony Brown has been your time, I'm leaving.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Go ahead. Jay has been my friend for long, Yes,
- 18:39Speaker 1: for a very long time. I mean you, yeah, you know,
- 18:44Speaker 1: helping you get into business, getting on stage, doing yes,
- 18:50Speaker 1: So why do you think that Jay gets so nervous?
- 18:53Speaker 1: I know, Tommy, you said it too. Looks everybody gets nervous.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Some people handling it different. I'm really nervous before I
- 19:01Speaker 1: go up. We just handled differently. Oh god, oh god,
- 19:06Speaker 1: oh god. It's like crazy. Man. I get extremely nervous
- 19:12Speaker 1: before I go up. We just handled it different. Do
- 19:17Speaker 1: you guys understand how we're all surprised by that when
- 19:20Speaker 1: you say that because you cannot tell on stage, you
- 19:24Speaker 1: cannot tell, well, you know, brilliant, Look, you know you
- 19:27Speaker 1: gotta you gotta get past it once you out there. Still,
- 19:31Speaker 1: it's the worst part, is it? For me? It's the
- 19:35Speaker 1: two hours before showing to the worst that two hours
- 19:41Speaker 1: before tripping, isn't I've learned to do music. Just listen
- 19:47Speaker 1: to music. I learned to do that. I'm telling you.
- 19:49Speaker 1: The worst show I've ever done in terms of nervousness
- 19:52Speaker 1: was a Power and Steve was hosting. I actually started
- 19:55Speaker 1: to leave, I really did. I started, Go get your cabin,
- 20:02Speaker 1: go back to the hotel. I've did a show with
- 20:07Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown in New Orleans and I think it
- 20:11Speaker 1: was my first time working with Jay, and I'm so
- 20:14Speaker 1: excited because I'm working with Jake, and Jay said, man,
- 20:18Speaker 1: man an't want me to do with twenty minute. Man
- 20:20Speaker 1: ain't like stay damn mine, man ain't up in twenty minute?
- 20:24Speaker 1: Man God Man, Hey, look, Timna stand right here. I'm
- 20:27Speaker 1: gonna bring you right up right right, I mean the
- 20:30Speaker 1: whole time. Well he got me dying laughing though. That's
- 20:38Speaker 1: my dog right there. Good weekend. Thanks thanks missus, Steve,
- 20:44Speaker 1: thank you for the key in the locker room. Coming
- 20:49Speaker 1: up in is Monday, you know that. So coming up
- 20:51Speaker 1: next Reverend Motown, Deacon deaf Jam. Right after this, you're
- 20:55Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 20:59Speaker 1: of the hour, guys and entertainment news, Kanye West, who's
- 21:01Speaker 1: at the top of the charts with his new album
- 21:03Speaker 1: Jesus Is King. But right now it is Monday. Reverend Motown,
- 21:07Speaker 1: Dick and deaf Jam are here with church complaints. Let's
- 21:10Speaker 1: go hill we we u is hell oh for the
- 21:21Speaker 1: arm teeth, turn yes to capstulate and die rivertate on
- 21:30Speaker 1: the concern over congres Gie des here is oh, oh
- 21:42Speaker 1: you know what is complaints. It's what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 21:45Speaker 1: So go ahead, Deacon, all right, passing. Let's get down
- 21:49Speaker 1: the business here. We got an issue. Be all the
- 21:51Speaker 1: church members are saying we need to print new Bibles.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Are you know, offer them to magnifying glass because they
- 22:00Speaker 1: can't read the print on the old Bibles? It's too smile.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Now we've done the research and Kiko said, if they
- 22:07Speaker 1: print up some new Bibles for us, it's gonna be
- 22:09Speaker 1: thirty seven thousand pages to get it in the front
- 22:12Speaker 1: that the older people wanted in. But that's gonna cost
- 22:15Speaker 1: us at least a thousand dollars a bible. Wow, a
- 22:19Speaker 1: thousand dollars a Bible. If we print out thirty seven
- 22:23Speaker 1: thousand paid, Yeah, it's passed. And not only maybe you
- 22:26Speaker 1: just want to give him the old testamut just the
- 22:27Speaker 1: new testmout on that. Unless we're gonna have that Bible
- 22:30Speaker 1: up front and just open it for everyone to see,
- 22:35Speaker 1: there will be but one Bible in that bigger print.
- 22:40Speaker 1: The problem with our older conglition, they members, is not
- 22:45Speaker 1: the ability to read, but the quickness in finding where
- 22:50Speaker 1: we are reading, okn't And that is why I don't
- 22:56Speaker 1: think the big print over thirty seven thousand page Bible,
- 23:00Speaker 1: a thirty seven page bobbly is ten words on each page. Yeah,
- 23:05Speaker 1: it's a thousand page. We're not we're not fitting to
- 23:09Speaker 1: do the wood like that. We're not fitting to stretch
- 23:11Speaker 1: it that far. Google, all right, I passed the hour.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I don't You probably don't know. We had this ministry.
- 23:21Speaker 1: But our hot air balloon ministry went up Saturday with
- 23:26Speaker 1: four people on board and landed both states over and
- 23:30Speaker 1: can't get back. They need money for pro playing fuel. Yeah,
- 23:34Speaker 1: we don't lay claim to hot air balloons that drift
- 23:39Speaker 1: a cross state lines. As a matter of fact, once
- 23:42Speaker 1: you leave the city, we are no longer responsible for you.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I'm assuming you were going to another church and let
- 23:52Speaker 1: that church pay your way back. I paid your way down.
- 23:56Speaker 1: But but they are members, and they strand it though past.
- 23:59Speaker 1: It's what I'm saying. You know something. The Lord works
- 24:02Speaker 1: in mysterious way. He'd have watered them here this Sunday.
- 24:08Speaker 1: They'd have been obviously to me, it was his wheel,
- 24:18Speaker 1: all right. I guess they get back over here. Brother
- 24:25Speaker 1: Lester Riggins who is missing one hand and got hired
- 24:29Speaker 1: at the doughnut house. He puts the holes in the
- 24:32Speaker 1: doughnuts with his nub. They they loved him immensely passed it.
- 24:39Speaker 1: But now here's the problem. Brother reefus, who is missing
- 24:43Speaker 1: his foot is upset because they won't hire him. Well,
- 24:50Speaker 1: brother reefers, need to calm down. Now. Oh, we put
- 24:56Speaker 1: a glove on the man who hasn't lost his hand.
- 25:00Speaker 1: He put the perfect holes in the rich comes to
- 25:04Speaker 1: a perfect point and it makes them perfectly circle a holes.
- 25:10Speaker 1: What you can't do is put your knee in the
- 25:13Speaker 1: donut and expect for a hole to be there. The
- 25:18Speaker 1: hole is too that. We're not making doughnut or sheet cakes.
- 25:22Speaker 1: These are regular side done. Yeah, he can't work there.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Everybody gonna everybody was working around nobody's foot with food.
- 25:32Speaker 1: All right, you can put glove on the head, you
- 25:34Speaker 1: can't put glove on the foot. That's true. That is true. Fast,
- 25:38Speaker 1: that is true. Fast pass it. Let's move right along here.
- 25:43Speaker 1: We got an issue now. The white church members have
- 25:47Speaker 1: asked UH for us to not sit them next to
- 25:51Speaker 1: UH screaming black church members who be shouting and scanning
- 25:54Speaker 1: the hell out of them. Pass. So we're gonna have
- 25:56Speaker 1: to do something with these when they sit these white
- 25:59Speaker 1: men members next to the black members that are screaming
- 26:02Speaker 1: and shouting and caning on. It's it's scanning our Caucasian members.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Rug right, I understand. Oh I'm with the white membership
- 26:14Speaker 1: on that one. I wanted to sit with the white people.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Oh but I can't. So the white membership is gonna
- 26:28Speaker 1: have to get with the black hollow back. Maybe we
- 26:35Speaker 1: should start a hollyback ministry. Then, well, let's do an
- 26:38Speaker 1: example right now, or you hollow as the black member
- 26:42Speaker 1: and our hollow back as the white member. Let's begin.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Good God a night, Oh good God, a mighty hallelujah, halleloa,
- 26:56Speaker 1: oh hallelujah, hallelujah. That's all. Well, let's try one pass
- 27:06Speaker 1: won that do it? Won't he perform it? Won't he
- 27:13Speaker 1: perform it? Wait? Wait a minute, I'm not I'm not
- 27:17Speaker 1: good scoring. Who they doe? Who they doe? Or the
- 27:24Speaker 1: white member? Just text me and want to know who
- 27:26Speaker 1: it won't he We've got who shouldn't it helps some problems?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Oh never mind, Let's just move on, all right, passing
- 27:37Speaker 1: that buckle up because this one's gonna throw your where
- 27:39Speaker 1: our CALLI has been calling the prison managed to asking
- 27:42Speaker 1: if we can send three women at a piano. It's
- 27:45Speaker 1: your call pack again, CALLI has been calling our prison
- 27:51Speaker 1: ministry here at the school asking if we can send
- 27:54Speaker 1: three women at a piano. It's gonna be your call
- 27:58Speaker 1: on if we're gonna try to help him out of that. Well,
- 28:03Speaker 1: first of all, let's discuss the three women that are coming,
- 28:09Speaker 1: will be seventy. Ask him do he still won't three women?
- 28:19Speaker 1: It's gonna be Sister Pearline, Sister Eline, and Sister Darline.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Then your Christian sister that's right now. Ask him do
- 28:28Speaker 1: he want them to bring the keyboard? Lett me know
- 28:33Speaker 1: what he said, He probably ain't gonna weary about the
- 28:35Speaker 1: keyboard out the go ahead? All right? Probas the last,
- 28:38Speaker 1: but not least our the church has decided not to
- 28:42Speaker 1: I to not return to Kanye uh West, offering the
- 28:47Speaker 1: funds will be redirected to the pastor's wardrobe. Minister, are
- 28:51Speaker 1: you all right with that? Perfectly? Fund? All right? And
- 29:01Speaker 1: he's on our schedule. A past the Kanye is due
- 29:03Speaker 1: to be here in three weeks here at the Jack

- 29:11Speaker 1: of the Alum day and National news right after this.
- 29:20Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. In today's entertainment news.

- 29:40Speaker 1: by Chick Fila being Closed on Sundays. Other songs include

- 30:03Speaker 1: Pastor Joel Yeah, I heard about this. Pastor Joel Olstein
- 30:08Speaker 1: has invited Kanye to Lakewood Church in Houston. Yeah. That's
- 30:12Speaker 1: major right there. It's a mega church. It welcomes as
- 30:14Speaker 1: many as fifty thousand people per week, with an estimated
- 30:18Speaker 1: ten million people tuning in live on live streams at home.
- 30:22Speaker 1: According to People magazine, Kanye wants to learn how other
- 30:26Speaker 1: churches do things. He wants to spend time with other
- 30:28Speaker 1: Christian leaders. He's open for tips and guidance. Kanye has
- 30:32Speaker 1: an open invitation to Lakewood Church. God is doing something
- 30:34Speaker 1: with this boy into a schedule. God doing something with him.
- 30:39Speaker 1: He just man, he really is music ministry man politics
- 30:44Speaker 1: when you go to the church. Hat No, damn good,
- 30:49Speaker 1: it's just me me know, it's everybody. We mean that
- 30:56Speaker 1: he's singing the gospel sound and that's calling a day music. Yeah,
- 31:04Speaker 1: I think, I think. I think it's absolutely great what
- 31:07Speaker 1: he's doing. I really do, really really, God don't work
- 31:12Speaker 1: inside no box, man, It don't have that. It's differently. Well,
- 31:16Speaker 1: the problem with Christians is the one that's dogged him
- 31:18Speaker 1: and mad at him and talking about his politics and
- 31:21Speaker 1: his religion. Uh, you can't do that. You can't do that. Uh,
- 31:27Speaker 1: it's it's Republican Christians. You know. The person can be
- 31:32Speaker 1: a Republican and be a Christian. The person don't have
- 31:35Speaker 1: to grieve with you to be a Christian. Well, that
- 31:38Speaker 1: has nothing to do with it. Yeah, you know, it's Look, man,
- 31:42Speaker 1: it's it's Christians in every walking facet of life. It's
- 31:46Speaker 1: it's Christians sitting in prison right now. It's some really
- 31:50Speaker 1: really good people sitting in prison. People people people don't
- 31:53Speaker 1: like to hear that if they were so good while
- 31:55Speaker 1: they're in prison. Slow down, partner, slow down, slow down.
- 32:00Speaker 1: You ain't that great now? He used to throw rocks
- 32:03Speaker 1: when you outside. Ain't a lot of good people make
- 32:06Speaker 1: bad mistakes, and it just takes one, that's all. Man. Yeah,
- 32:12Speaker 1: absolutely right, d I've made three what about his marriage?
- 32:19Speaker 1: I'm not gonna let you say three number leve. So
- 32:29Speaker 1: that's where the Rockets used to play. That church, that's
- 32:32Speaker 1: what that's what I would just be the summit, yeah yeah,
- 32:36Speaker 1: yeah yeah, And that's where he was yesterday. Yeah yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 1: yeah yeah. Ten on Sunday, Yes, ten thousand and three
- 32:45Speaker 1: services on Sunday. I got some people coming through that. Yeah,
- 32:49Speaker 1: it needs some people coming in the man. Yeah, you
- 32:53Speaker 1: know what I like about him? He long thirty minutes.
- 32:58Speaker 1: I watched this whole sermon yesterday, which is like gonna
- 33:02Speaker 1: be part of my closing remark. Yeah, Joe lost, Yeah,
- 33:05Speaker 1: which is what I learned. I learned something from him,
- 33:07Speaker 1: so so amazing that I learned from him. I'm gonna
- 33:12Speaker 1: share with you all for closing remarks. It really really
- 33:15Speaker 1: helped me. Yeah, and you know, see, if I could
- 33:18Speaker 1: just show it to some people, may been to help you.
- 33:20Speaker 1: He don't beg you to get say all right, see,
- 33:23Speaker 1: let's let's go to news It's time for today, ladies
- 33:26Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Miss Anne True, thank you very much. Good
- 33:30Speaker 1: morning everybody, and I have to start out with sad news.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Last week it was Elijah Cummings, now civil rights icon
- 33:35Speaker 1: and long time Congressman gut John Knyers has died of
- 33:39Speaker 1: natural causes at age ninety. Kanye has had a long
- 33:42Speaker 1: and illustrious career that spanned more than fifty years and
- 33:44Speaker 1: twenty seven terms in office twenty seven. John Kanye is
- 33:48Speaker 1: the son of a well known labor lawyer in Detroit,
- 33:51Speaker 1: compiled a near record legacy of civil rights activism, longevity,
- 33:54Speaker 1: and advocacy for the poor and the underprivilege. In fact,
- 33:57Speaker 1: John Kanye has had the sixth longest ten year in
- 34:00Speaker 1: congressional history. One of the world's most wanted terrorists ISIS
- 34:04Speaker 1: leader albu Baka al Baghdaddy is dead. President Trump delivered
- 34:07Speaker 1: the news. He died like a dog. He died like
- 34:09Speaker 1: a coward. He didn't die a hero, he died a coward, crying, whimpering, screaming,
- 34:14Speaker 1: and bringing three kids with him. The President says that
- 34:18Speaker 1: al Baghdaddy was killed during a top secret US military
- 34:21Speaker 1: raid early Sunday morning in northwestern Syria. A couple in
- 34:25Speaker 1: Alabama charged with capital murder and the death of a
- 34:28Speaker 1: three year old little girl named Camille McKinney, whose nickname
- 34:30Speaker 1: was Cupcake. Little Cupcake's body found in a dumpster ten
- 34:34Speaker 1: days after she was kidnapped from a birthday party. The
- 34:36Speaker 1: medical examiner says the little Cupcake was suffocated. Patrick Devon
- 34:40Speaker 1: Stalworth and his girlfriend Derika derek Issha Brown have both
- 34:45Speaker 1: been charged with kitty porn related charges and murder. They
- 34:48Speaker 1: both claim innocence. Funeral services for Little Camille were held yesterday. Meanwhile,
- 34:53Speaker 1: the Stalworth family, the family of one of the suspects,
- 34:57Speaker 1: has issued a statement saying basically, the things that pas
- 35:00Speaker 1: Patrick Stalworth is alleged to have done no weight reflects
- 35:03Speaker 1: on who they are as a family. President Trump attended
- 35:07Speaker 1: Game five of the World Series yesterday and Washington, d C.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Trump showed up shortly after the first inning and was
- 35:13Speaker 1: introduced to the crowd after the third inning during the
- 35:16Speaker 1: national salute to veterans. That's kind of a regular thing,
- 35:19Speaker 1: a regular feature at NAT's games anyway. As the next
- 35:22Speaker 1: inning began, though, fans started shouting lock him up, lock
- 35:26Speaker 1: him up, lock him up. You know much like Trump's
- 35:28Speaker 1: MAGA followers chanted about Hillary Clinton when he ran against
- 35:31Speaker 1: her for president, so they kept chanting, chanting. Trump in
- 35:34Speaker 1: the First Lady, however, sat in a Washington suite well
- 35:37Speaker 1: above the crowd, joined by several Republican lawmakers. Meanwhile, Chicago
- 35:42Speaker 1: Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson says he is standing firm on
- 35:46Speaker 1: his decision to opt out of attending the speech that
- 35:49Speaker 1: President Trump is scheduled to deliver in Chicago later on today.
- 35:53Speaker 1: It's going to be at the meeting of the International
- 35:55Speaker 1: Association of Chiefs of Police. Superintendent Johnson says his personal
- 35:59Speaker 1: choice he doesn't lie up with his city's corps. He
- 36:02Speaker 1: says core values along with his personal values, and that
- 36:05Speaker 1: his officers, though, are free to attend if they wish. Finally,
- 36:07Speaker 1: the pre Halloween weekend box office, it was a photo
- 36:10Speaker 1: finish between Mistress of Evil and The Joker, but the
- 36:12Speaker 1: Joker one My life was a tragedy. Now I realize
- 36:21Speaker 1: it's a comedy. Joker brought an eighteen point nine million
- 36:24Speaker 1: in its fourth week. Mistress of Evil eighteen point five.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show. Okay,
- 36:32Speaker 1: So yesterday President Trump announced the world's most wanted man,
- 36:36Speaker 1: isa's leader, Abu Bakr al Baghdatti, was killed in a
- 36:41Speaker 1: raid conducted by US Special Forces. Take a list in
- 36:44Speaker 1: Guys Night, the United States brought the world's number one
- 36:48Speaker 1: tourist leader to justice. Abu Bakr al Baghdati is dead.
- 36:55Speaker 1: House Democrats are angry that President Trump didn't tell anyone
- 36:59Speaker 1: in the Democratic leadership, including how Speaker Nancy Pelosi of
- 37:03Speaker 1: California Senate Majority Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. We're not informed
- 37:08Speaker 1: of the raid, but the President chose to notify Russia
- 37:11Speaker 1: and Turkey instead. Joe Biden snubbed the president when he
- 37:15Speaker 1: issued a congratulatory statement to the US Special Forces. Brave
- 37:19Speaker 1: military personnel and the US intelligence community. Pity why they
- 37:25Speaker 1: know about those raids? So he shared with foreign nations.
- 37:28Speaker 1: He shared with his boys Carla, Russia, and Turkey. Okay, wow,
- 37:39Speaker 1: I mean I'm not surprised at Listen to me. The
- 37:43Speaker 1: Republican Party is allowing him and has allowed him to
- 37:47Speaker 1: do whatever he wants to do. He's broken laws, He's
- 37:51Speaker 1: violated they beloved and precious constitution. He has no regard
- 37:57Speaker 1: for the judicial system. He doesn't respond to subpoenas. He
- 38:02Speaker 1: doesn't turn over any incriminating evidence. What so what he
- 38:08Speaker 1: did a raid and he didn't tell Nancy Pelosi. You
- 38:11Speaker 1: think he feels like he should. No, No, man, just dude, no,
- 38:16Speaker 1: And he didn't. And guess what, nothing, it's going to happen. Nothing.
- 38:22Speaker 1: I'm so sick of politics right now, man, I really
- 38:26Speaker 1: really am. I'm gonna vote. I'm sick of politics. I'm voting.
- 38:30Speaker 1: I'll never not vote because now too many people died
- 38:34Speaker 1: so I could go down here it pull up. That's true.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I'm going to vote and I'm not going to vote
- 38:40Speaker 1: for him. But I'll tell you what though, man, it's
- 38:42Speaker 1: just what we're allowing this man to do and get
- 38:45Speaker 1: away with and co signed on. The Republican Party needs
- 38:48Speaker 1: to be ashamed of herself. Stop calling yourself or the
- 38:50Speaker 1: party of morality because you're letting one of the most
- 38:53Speaker 1: immoral and corrupt presidents exist and you co signed for it.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I'm done. I'm done. They had this young black, young
- 39:02Speaker 1: group of African Americans at the White House just talking
- 39:05Speaker 1: about how much Trump has done for black people, and
- 39:08Speaker 1: I just kept screaming at the screen, named me one
- 39:12Speaker 1: because they kept and he's done so much. Just name
- 39:14Speaker 1: me one. They never said anything specific. No, yeah, all right,
- 39:19Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four after the hour, we're going
- 39:21Speaker 1: to have some fun. It's time for comedy Roulette with
- 39:24Speaker 1: the guys, the comedians right after this. You're listening, well,
- 39:31Speaker 1: if you missed it earlier, we gotta say once again
- 39:34Speaker 1: congratulations to our very own Jay Anthony Brown. Yes, sir,
- 39:39Speaker 1: because this past Friday, guys, he received the key to
- 39:43Speaker 1: his hometown, Columbia, South Carolina, South Calais Junior. It's the
- 39:52Speaker 1: Keyton City. But it's the worst ceremony. You want to
- 39:55Speaker 1: be a part of him, George Wallace, it was. It
- 40:01Speaker 1: was the worst ceremony I've ever seen. They talked by
- 40:06Speaker 1: mothers in front of the mayor. It was correctly, yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 1: thank you. All right, So all right, guys, well listen up,
- 40:19Speaker 1: it's time for comedy roulette. Take it away, Jay. All right,
- 40:24Speaker 1: here we have comedy Roulette. We take three sebjects. We
- 40:26Speaker 1: put those three sevenects on a wheel. Then what we
- 40:29Speaker 1: do is we spun the wheel. The wheel goes rounding
- 40:33Speaker 1: and rounding and rounding and rounding the round with the wheel. STU.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Because we are all comedians. We can take too much
- 40:39Speaker 1: damn time, all right, spend the wheel, let's go cat.

- 53:01Speaker 1: But I can actually play golf. It don't hurt, don't

- 54:06Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is the Strawberry
- 54:09Speaker 1: LETTA subject. I'm in love with my best friend's husband,
- 54:13Speaker 1: all right, I know, Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm in a
- 54:16Speaker 1: crazy love triangle and I met my man through his wife.
- 54:21Speaker 1: She was supposed to be my best friend, but we
- 54:23Speaker 1: always argued over stupid stuff and then finally had a
- 54:27Speaker 1: big blow out and stopped talking the entire time. Our
- 54:30Speaker 1: other friends tried to get us to be friends again,
- 54:33Speaker 1: but nothing worked. I ran into my best friend's husband
- 54:36Speaker 1: one day, and he told me that it's best to
- 54:39Speaker 1: end the friendship because his wife never really liked me
- 54:41Speaker 1: to begin with. I thought he was being messy, but
- 54:44Speaker 1: I wanted to hear more, so we exchanged numbers and
- 54:48Speaker 1: started talking on the phone. Apparently his wife had been
- 54:51Speaker 1: talking about me for years behind my back. He never
- 54:55Speaker 1: stopped calling me, and the calls turned into dinner date.
- 54:59Speaker 1: I guess how a bit naive because I didn't think
- 55:01Speaker 1: he was starting I didn't think he was starting to
- 55:04Speaker 1: like me. Then he started texting me nude pictures of
- 55:07Speaker 1: himself and sent texas saying he was falling for me.
- 55:11Speaker 1: We started having video chats while we were both nude,
- 55:15Speaker 1: and that eventually led to sex. The sex with him
- 55:19Speaker 1: was amazing and we kept it going for a while.
- 55:23Speaker 1: A few months into our affair, we had a huge
- 55:26Speaker 1: disagreement and he said some very nasty things to me.
- 55:30Speaker 1: I wanted to hurt him back, so I sent his
- 55:33Speaker 1: nude pictures to his wife. I just knew that would
- 55:36Speaker 1: be all right, all right, all right, don't have to
- 55:45Speaker 1: repeat it, just taking not getting all right. I wanted
- 55:51Speaker 1: to hurt him back, so I sent his nude pictures
- 55:54Speaker 1: to his wife. I just knew that would be it.
- 55:58Speaker 1: But no, he came right back to me. After he
- 56:00Speaker 1: dealt with his wife and all of that drama, he
- 56:03Speaker 1: called and apologized to me. So now we're back together.
- 56:08Speaker 1: Every time we have a fight, he says nasty things
- 56:11Speaker 1: to me, but we always end up having sex and
- 56:15Speaker 1: then it's all fine again. I'm trying to get out
- 56:18Speaker 1: of this madness, but now I'm in love. No matter
- 56:21Speaker 1: what I do to him, he won't leave me alone.
- 56:25Speaker 1: I want to trade him in and get my friend back.
- 56:28Speaker 1: I am hoping that she can forgive me. Do you
- 56:31Speaker 1: think it's possible to repair our friendship? Please advise? No? Okay, absolutely,
- 56:37Speaker 1: nau no ye are you kidding me right now? She's
- 56:45Speaker 1: not gonna take you back after you've been sleeping with
- 56:48Speaker 1: her husband. Come on, they don't do that anywhere, Okay, anywhere?
- 56:53Speaker 1: And you're being stupid here, I mean, why are you
- 56:56Speaker 1: still fooling with this man? You don't like it when
- 56:59Speaker 1: you break up and he says nasty things to you.
- 57:02Speaker 1: You don't like that at all, but you keep taking
- 57:04Speaker 1: him back, you keep having sex with him. Now you
- 57:07Speaker 1: think you're in love with this man. I don't care
- 57:09Speaker 1: if they broke up, if they separated, if they divorced, whatever.
- 57:12Speaker 1: You don't circle back and get with your best friends
- 57:16Speaker 1: or you're so called best friend's husband and then think
- 57:19Speaker 1: she's gonna take you. That's not how this works, that's
- 57:22Speaker 1: not how life works. You broke all kinds of girlfriend
- 57:24Speaker 1: codes with this all kinds of everything. You are wrong,
- 57:29Speaker 1: so wrong from messing with him in the first place,
- 57:32Speaker 1: especially since he's treating you like this and you're allowing him. No,
- 57:36Speaker 1: this is never gonna work out between you and the girlfriend. Ever,
- 57:39Speaker 1: the best thing for you to do is to leave
- 57:42Speaker 1: this man alone, get your own man, or just be
- 57:45Speaker 1: by yourself for a minute. This is just craziness here.
- 57:48Speaker 1: You're right, You're in a crazy love triangle. Just you know,
- 57:52Speaker 1: get out of it as soon as you can, Steve.
- 57:55Speaker 1: You know what I've discovered through these years of strawberry letters.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Crazy answer letters is written by crazy ass people. Yeah,
- 58:03Speaker 1: and this crazy letter was written by a specially crazy person.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Just after all this, right here, do you I want
- 58:13Speaker 1: to trade him in and get my friend back? What friend? What?
- 58:18Speaker 1: A matter of fact, Let's start with the subject I'm
- 58:20Speaker 1: in love with my best friend's husband. I'm I'm a triangle.
- 58:24Speaker 1: I met my man through his wife. Here's the opening line.
- 58:28Speaker 1: She was supposed to be my best friend. But we
- 58:33Speaker 1: all get over stupid stuff. Blown out that entire time
- 58:36Speaker 1: other friends tried to get us free friends and don't
- 58:38Speaker 1: worked out. Then after all of that, you all go
- 58:41Speaker 1: over stupid stuff. Big blow up. Y'all stop talking other friends,
- 58:45Speaker 1: try to beat to make y'all friends getting nothing work.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Then that's what you did. I read it to my
- 58:50Speaker 1: best friend's husband one day. Why do you keep calling
- 58:53Speaker 1: her your best friend? Why you keep throwing that time?
- 59:00Speaker 1: This ain't I ain't heard nothing friendly yet nothing and
- 59:06Speaker 1: then his now he go, this is the game. See
- 59:09Speaker 1: now I'm going to put you women on game, he
- 59:12Speaker 1: calls you. One day I ran into my best friend
- 59:17Speaker 1: his husband. He told me that it's best to end
- 59:19Speaker 1: the friendship because his wife never really liked me to
- 59:23Speaker 1: begin with. That was a setup, right, that was a
- 59:31Speaker 1: set up. Let me throw you off the course of
- 59:35Speaker 1: trying to be huf friend and let me start putting
- 59:38Speaker 1: you on another course. That's the setup. So now he
- 59:42Speaker 1: set you up with she never liked you in the fairishpace.
- 59:45Speaker 1: You thought he was being messy, but you wanted to
- 59:48Speaker 1: hear more. So y'all exchanged. I'm gonna started talking on
- 59:50Speaker 1: the phone, and guess what. Apparently his wife had been
- 59:54Speaker 1: talking about me for years behind my back. He never
- 59:56Speaker 1: stopped calling me in the call turned in the dinner day.
- 59:59Speaker 1: You know what he was doing. Not if he set
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you up? He was dad to comfort you for me
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: and I Sometimes, man, I have to really clap for
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: dudes because the game they got it and it works.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: It sadly works because this ain't nothing but game, a
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: situation for you that I can comfort you through. Hang on.

- 1:00:33Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening show, all right, Steve,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: come on, Let's recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject I'm in
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: love with my best friend's husband. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: First of all, you, Lyne, this ain't your best friend
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: and you in love with her husband? How she your
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: best friend? What you trifling? You? You got a trifle
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: inside to you that you don't want to mention in
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: this letter, But it's all through out the letter. You
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: started talking when him first he lied to you, told
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: your best friend and never liked in the first place,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: created scenario that he could now comfort you through. Now
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: y'all talking on the phone, then y'all went out to dinner.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: He started liking you now all of a sudden. Then
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: he started texting your new photos. What I didn't think
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: he was starting to like me. Then he started texting
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: me new pictures of himself, and he said text saying
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: he was falling from me. Now just next thing, I
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: knew it, don't even say that. That's normally where they
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: put in that line. Next thing, I knew that's where
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: they normally put that, but she didn't even put that.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Started texting me new pictures of herself, said Tech said
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: he was falling from me. We started having video chats
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: while we were both new. Now, first of all, don't
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: don't try to talk to us like we stoopid. We
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: started having video chats while we was new. And what
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: was these chats about? This is phone six? It's what
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: dis He ain't know. We're just sitting up here talking nicked.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: So what you're doing at work today? I don't give
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Dan what you did at work today, if you let
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: what I care about your job. We started having video
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: chatting on it, and that eventually into sex. The sex
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: with him was amazing. We kept going for a while.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: A few months into our fare, we had a huge
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: disagreement and he said some really nasty things to me,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: and I wanted to hurt him back, so I sent
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: his new pictures to his wife. See, let me explain
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: something to you. This was not you trying to hurt him.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: You wanted everybody to hurt. You did this to hurt
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: this woman. He was just debait you used to get
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: back at hub. Oh, since you talking to me crazy,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: let me show you what I've been doing, best friend.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: That's what your funking tell did. Now that ain't in
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: your letter, but that's what you did. So I wanted
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: to hurt him back, so I text his new pictures
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: to his wife. I knew that would be it. You
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: just knew that would be it. What See what she
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: trying to say was that would be the end of
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: him and her. Now what you really meant was you
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: just knew that would be it between them two. But
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: you got it placed in the letter like that would
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: be it for you know, him calling you. But no,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: he came right back to me. See, you wasn't trying
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: to get rid of him for you. You thought you
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: was gonna get rid of them them because it's all
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: about you. He came right back to me. After he

- 1:04:18Speaker 1: You keep talking about? First of all, where's the best

- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I'm just saying thank you, just saying. I'm just saying,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: but now I'm in love. No matter what I do

- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Are you? Have you lost your rabbit ass mind? He
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: that is wrong with you? Are you you? You go
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: from dumb to ignorant to flat out stupid. I want
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: to trade me in and get my friend. Am I hoping?
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: I am hoping that she can forgive you? Forgive you,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: forgive you for woman? Do you think it's possible to
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: repair our friendship? Please invite? It's stupid repair the offship.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: You're fit to mess your ass around and get stabbed?
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: What you don't go over this woman's house and listen
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: to me? Ask at your house? And what don't you
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: go over this woman's out? Tom? I know, I'm sorry.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Don't tell that time. I'm sorry. Don't sitting on pictures
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: about nothing, don't do nothing, Stay away from this woman.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: You are done. You can't keep doing wrong things and

- 1:05:51Speaker 1: You're not fitting to get no man or your own.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Your ass wrong like two left shoes. But then you

- 1:05:59Speaker 1: high life work system. Please advise? Do you think I
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: can repair our friendship? You didn't want a friendship, y'all
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: couldn't talk it through, so you screwed her. Hub. Ain't
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: no woman form to be your friend after this. No woman,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: You can't get a woman from no culture to be
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: your buddy after this. No, you can't get a woman
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: of no race to be your friend after this. This
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: is now you're gonna mess around and get killed with
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: a t on. It killed killed and as my boy said,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: and then she killed it him. All right, Steve, listen,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: thank you. Poster comments on today's Strawberry Letter at Steve
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: HARVEYFM on Instagram and Facebook, and don't forgot to check
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming up at
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: forty six after the hour. We will see what our
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: president is up to. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: You're listening, all right. So our dear President, President Donald J.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Trump went to the World Series Game five from the
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: World Series. He was there. Did they show him love? Well,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: let's just say after the third inning. You know, normally
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: when they give love to the veterans and things like that,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: the crowd started chanting lock him. Take a listen, Take
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: a listen. That's a lot of white people saying that
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: sound familiar. But all he heard was they loved me,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: They love me, They love me. No, no, no, no,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: trust me. He didn't hit that at all. Yeah, seeing
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: he normally weights and only goes in front of large
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: crowds when he's picked and chosen them. At Trump rally,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Now you've ain'to a large unsolicited crowd, and you've gotten
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: the viewpoint of what a lot of people really feel
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: about you. This ain't the Trump rally nowhere, but they
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: all got on mega hats and everything. This was just
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: an unsolicited group of people and here you come at
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: just so happens to think it's right down the street
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: from where you work, five minutes by the way, five
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: minute draft. So that's an amazing thing that happened to him.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: And I I was has any. I'm just waiting to
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: see if he tweets about this. Oh yeah, you know,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: he didn't about everything. You know he's gonna taody. I
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: know what he's gonna say. Steve, they were talking about
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Lindsay Rahm because Lindsay ram was winning. He wasn't a felicity.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Helpman's free got out earlier. Yeah, I don't care. I
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: don't even care. I don't care. Back to lock him up.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Back to that, let's hear that again. Give it to
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: me one more time. That's two thousand people at least
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: saying that. That's everybody between Is everybody behind first and
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: third base? We know that everybody series. Yeah, that had
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: to shake him the theaters and arenas. That how many
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: is that dog? That is about twelve to fifteen thousand?
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: All right, coming up at the top of the hour.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: President Trump was busy this weekend, and he also visited
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: historically black college, Benedict College in your hometown, Jaset, Columbia,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: South Carolina. No, it wasn't. We'll get into it right
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right. So President
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Trump delivered a speech about criminal justice to a room
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: full of political allies at the historically black Benedict College
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: that's in Jay's hometown, Columbia, South Carolina. Yeah. Yeah. Most
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: students were reportedly, though, asked to stay in their dormsn
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: that's what all the traffic war down my hotel last weekend.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Now they're saying it was for for safety. It was
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: part of their safety plan. Uh, the school made in
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: conjunction with the Secret Service that the classes were canceled
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: and the students were asked to stand their dorms. Why
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: what they did was they bust in a hundred black
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Republicans to sit in the audience. They allowed only seven
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: to maybe ten to fifteen students from the campus. Trump's
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: rallied and they were very upset. The students of the
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: campus were very upset and the president. A lot of
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: people are managed the president for allowing Trump to come
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: over there and just set up the audience that he
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: wanted to speak on a black campus because they're really
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: not happy with him. They wouldn't have been that happy
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: with him. They would have boot his ass again. So
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: you know that. Yeah, the campus was closed, the streets
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: were closed, they were shut down. All vehicle traffic was
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: shut down from one thirty pm to three pm. Faculty,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: staff and students who were on campus were asked to
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: stay inside. But if anyone needs, I mean, you know,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: you have to ask the question, why would they even
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: okay this man coming to this campus. Thought that would
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: be a good idea to allow Donald Trump to come
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: to an all black university. And then for being the
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: students from going there. It's awful. It's gotta be something.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: It's gotta be to give him a good look at
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: a black right to say that he's doing things. Yeah,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: because if it would have been the students, it would
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: have been a different chant from the word oh, that
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: chance would have been locked his ass up, all right.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: And in his speech check this out, guys, Trump spoke
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: about the need for criminal justice reform and also mocked
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the Obama administration and said that the Trump administration has
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: made more progress for African Americans, uh than in the
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: history of our country. Stop it. Yeah, he said that
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: this is according to it in the audience, agreeing with
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: every damn thing you said. It sounds like the black
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: schools and the black HBCUs are with you, right and not.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: It's just it's just not right to do. I think
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: this president that the student body's got to be aselves
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: president for allowing this. You know, I just don't understand.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I think if they're upset with the president of university,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: they have every right to be because something this is
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: nothing but posturing of the Republican Party. We're gonna go
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: to a historical black college when for what h it's
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: not a college. I'm pretty sure that you have a
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: lot of popularity. But then you bust in one hundred
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: black Republicans, so it will still look like a black college.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Excuse me, Okay, but now I know why this guy
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: was on my plane when I left Colombia with this
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: with this head on, Now at all makes sense to me.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: Was he black? Yes? Yes, five Republicans was on my plan.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I'm talking about black with mega hat off. And you
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: keep the students that attend the school from attending the rally,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: that is just what well, I mean, not without protests,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: of course, protests formed outside the auditorium as the president
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: delivered a speech on Friday. You cannot tell me they
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: did not give their school some money. That's what this
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: has to be. They got a check, They got a check.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Bad is then they's got a check. Of course, you
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: gotta pay for the building, right, all of this stuff
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: right here. And if we're gonna cancel classes, we've got
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: to give you a check. And you're talking about a
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: man who's gone against pale grants. Come on the really, yeah,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: you gotta make the school all right? All right, we'll
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: have more some sad news out of Detroit coming up
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: after that's twenty minutes after the hour. Lock him up,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Lock him up, you're listening show. Really sad news out
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: of Detroit. One of the longest serving members of Congress

- 1:15:28Speaker 1: over fifty years, and it was remarkable. He compiled a
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: record legacy of civil rights activism, longevity, and advocacy for
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: the poor and underprivileged. And our thoughts and of course
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: our prayers are with his wife, Monica Kanyers, and their
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: two sons, and the Kanyers family and the entire city

- 1:16:17Speaker 1: he did some remarkable things and civil rights and you
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: know the Martin Luther King Junior Holiday as I mentioned.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Just you know, just a life of service, one that
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: we wish we you know, all can strive to do
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: in our lifetime. Just serve. But absolutely anyway, Okay, we'll

- 1:18:04Speaker 1: we're good. You don't think that's just me. It's me,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: it's everybody. We mean that singing the gospel sound and
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: that's call it a day us doing a good job. Yeah,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: I think. I think. I think it's absolutely great what
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: he's doing. I literally do. Really. God don't work inside
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: no box, man, it don't happen. It's different. Well, the
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: problem with Christians is the one that's dogged him and
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: mad at him and talking about his politics and his religion. Uh,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: you can't do that. You can't do that. Uh, it's
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: it's Republican Christian. The person can be a Republican and
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: be a Christian. Person don't have to agrieve with you
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: to be a Christian. You know. It's look, man, it's
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: it's Christians in every walking facet of life. It's it's
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Christians sitting in prison right now. It's some really really
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: good people sitting in prison. People people people don't like
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: to hear that. If they were so good, why they
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: in prison? Slow down, party, slow down, slow down. You
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: ain't that great now he used to throw rocks when
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: you outside. Ain't a lot of good people make bad
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: mistakes and it just take one, that's all man. Yeah,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: absolutely right. D I've made three marriage. I'm not gonna
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: let you say three number. So that's where the rockets
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: used to play. That church, that's what's used to be
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: the summit. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah. And that's where he
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: was yesterday, yeah yeah, yeah yeah on Sunday, Yes, ten
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: thousand three services on Sunday. They got some people coming
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: through it, yeah, it some people coming in it. Man,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: all right, coming up our last break of the day,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: and I'm close and last break of the day, and
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: of course some closing remarks from the one and only
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after the hour, right
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to show a right Steve, here
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: we are. It's good. It's been a good day. It's
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: been a real good day. It's been a good day,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: been months. I like when the gang's all here, when
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: all of us are together. Yeah, yeah, so much going on.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: Suck him up. Locke's answer, Steve, I know you have
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: some inspiring words to leave us with today. You know,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I got up yesterday and um, I was about to
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: do my morning meditation, and something told me to just
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: turn the TV on and look for Joel Oldstein. I mean,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: I didn't turn the TV on because that's my meditational time.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: So I turned it on and I've thrown through and
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: I found Joel Lolstein right at eight o'clock out in La.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: It was right at the exact moment, and I was
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: there in time for the joke that he does and
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: a little funny thing he starts off his service, and
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: I was listening. He was talking about something man that
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: really struck a chord with me, and I think has
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: affected all of us at one point in time in
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: our life. And I wanted to share it with you, man,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: because it was so helpful to me. He was talking
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: about bitterness. He was talking about not allowing bitterness to
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: take hold in your life. He said the problem with
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: bitterness is that the longer you hold on to it,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: the harder it is to get rid of. And what
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: the basic thing in his sermon was, and I'm just
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: paraphrasing everything he was asking everybody, instead of holding on
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: to bitterness, you've got to learn to ask God to
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: help you forgive more quickly. You've got to start asking
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: God to help you let it go, because if you don't,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: it just it just attaches itself to you. And bitterness
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: shows up everywhere. It's a funny thing, man, because I
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: was thinking, I said, Man, I'm not really a bitter person.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: This ain't for me. But oh man, as I listened,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: he was talking about because bitterness shows up everywhere. You
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Ever been angry because a deal didn't go down? You
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: ever been angry or got upset about a contract and
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: it kind of bugged you for a while. You ever
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: been you ever see a coworker and they just kind
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: of rubbed you the wrong way? You know, maybe they
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: fronted you in front of others. You got to remember
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: something about a bitterness, man. Bitterness, it's a root. R oot.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Bitterness is a root. You can't see roots because roots
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: are underground. But roots and anchor the tree and the bush,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: and and and and and and the roots are under
