- 2:01Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on now, dig me want and only Steve Harvey
- 2:12Speaker 1: got what radio show man? What you're doing with it?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Trying to do the very very best I can with it?
- 2:19Speaker 1: I really am. You know, I get tired sometimes on
- 2:22Speaker 1: my journey. I'm not gonna kid you. UM. Trying to
- 2:27Speaker 1: make something about yourself is a task. UM. If you
- 2:33Speaker 1: want to attempt to do something and and and understand
- 2:37Speaker 1: going in that that. If the thing you're trying to
- 2:42Speaker 1: do is to improve yourself, to better your position, to
- 2:47Speaker 1: better your relationship, your family, anything, you're trying to be
- 2:52Speaker 1: a better you. You're trying to make more money, you're
- 2:56Speaker 1: trying to get it together, you're trying to change if
- 3:00Speaker 1: any of those things are in your hopes and dreams,
- 3:05Speaker 1: know this right here, you are about to face some challenges.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But you might as well go ahead anyway and face
- 3:15Speaker 1: those challenges, because if you don't, you have a whole
- 3:19Speaker 1: other set of challenges to face. You know. It's a
- 3:22Speaker 1: it's a It's an amazing thing. Man, How people sit
- 3:25Speaker 1: around and they watch other people strike out to become successful.
- 3:30Speaker 1: They sit in the stands watching these people play out
- 3:33Speaker 1: these games, and they and they, and they criticize, They boo,
- 3:37Speaker 1: they laugh at their efforts and everything, and they talk
- 3:41Speaker 1: about the fairies. He missed that game when it shot. Boy,
- 3:44Speaker 1: he sucked. Man, he did this. He ain't worth that.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I hear people who sit in stands who criticize people
- 3:54Speaker 1: who are out there on the playing field. Now, when
- 3:58Speaker 1: you're on the plane, feel you have a set of
- 4:02Speaker 1: challenges in front of you. You're going to be open
- 4:04Speaker 1: to criticism. You're going to be open to ridicule. You're
- 4:09Speaker 1: going to be talked about when you don't know the
- 4:11Speaker 1: people who are talking about you. Now, here's the upside
- 4:20Speaker 1: to being the player on the field that's facing all
- 4:23Speaker 1: the challenges, to criticisms, the laughing, the joke, to being
- 4:27Speaker 1: talked about. He has something going for him. This person, boy, woman, child, girl,
- 4:36Speaker 1: man has an opportunity to win. They have an opportunity
- 4:43Speaker 1: to win. And then the game of life. Just because
- 4:49Speaker 1: you lose one of the games, or you lose one
- 4:52Speaker 1: of the matches, it don't mean you've lost. You don't
- 4:55Speaker 1: get put out. You keep playing. And when you play,
- 5:01Speaker 1: here's the upside. You have the opportunity to win. And
- 5:05Speaker 1: but guess what, You're gonna win some of the matches.
- 5:08Speaker 1: You're gonna win some of the points. You're gonna make
- 5:09Speaker 1: some of the dunks. You're gonna hit some of them
- 5:11Speaker 1: over the wall. You're gonna hit some of them out
- 5:13Speaker 1: the park. You're gonna score some goals. You will if
- 5:18Speaker 1: you're playing the game. Here's the problem with the people
- 5:23Speaker 1: who don't face criticism, who nobody boos or cheers for,
- 5:28Speaker 1: who sits in the stands and knows neither victory nor defeat.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Those people, without realizing it, are facing a set of
- 5:40Speaker 1: challenges also. And the challenges they're facing is how I'm
- 5:45Speaker 1: gonna live with myself? What I'm gonna do? Now, what
- 5:53Speaker 1: direction am I going in? Where am I gonna live?
- 6:00Speaker 1: Wonder what job will hire me? I wonder if I
- 6:05Speaker 1: can get paid for criticize. Ah, woe is me. I
- 6:12Speaker 1: can't find the purpose in my life. And man, I'm
- 6:16Speaker 1: just waking up in a state of confusion. I don't
- 6:19Speaker 1: know what to do. Now, let me ask you something
- 6:23Speaker 1: which one of them said, of challenges you rather be
- 6:25Speaker 1: faced with. Because if I'm on the flow playing, if
- 6:29Speaker 1: I'm on the field playing, if I'm out on the
- 6:32Speaker 1: court playing, then guess what I got a chance at winning?
- 6:36Speaker 1: But guess what I'm doing every day while I'm playing.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'm strategizing. I'm waking up with a purpose. I'm waking
- 6:43Speaker 1: up trying to come up with another angle. I'm in
- 6:47Speaker 1: pursuit of a goal every single day, versus the people
- 6:54Speaker 1: in the stands who know neither victory nor defeat. Get
- 7:03Speaker 1: in the game. Face the challenges. Better yourself, better your wife,
- 7:09Speaker 1: better your children, better your condition, better your employment status,
- 7:12Speaker 1: better your job, better your career. Take a shot. Come on, man,
- 7:16Speaker 1: what you're waiting on? Because the alternative is to watch
- 7:20Speaker 1: other people play the game? You know what I just do?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Sometimes Sometimes I just I get Forbes magazine or Money magazine,
- 7:29Speaker 1: or sometimes I still grab a copy of rob Report.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I just flipped through it just to see. I used
- 7:36Speaker 1: to get these this book called Unique Homes. Unique Homes
- 7:40Speaker 1: is a magazine that just has a lot of extravagant
- 7:43Speaker 1: houses that's on sale across the country, across the world.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I used to flip through. Man, let me just see, man,
- 7:50Speaker 1: what the people that's playing the game out there doing.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Stop watching other people become successful when you could very
- 7:57Speaker 1: easily be you if you may the decision. But when
- 8:01Speaker 1: you make the decision to become successful, get ready for
- 8:04Speaker 1: a series of challenges. I think it's more difficult not
- 8:08Speaker 1: to accept the challenge. I think it's for me. This
- 8:13Speaker 1: is just for me. It may not be the case
- 8:15Speaker 1: for you. For me, I think it's far more difficult
- 8:17Speaker 1: to wake up and just see how life gonna go today,
- 8:20Speaker 1: because man, it could just deal you any kind of
- 8:22Speaker 1: hand today. You understand, I don't like, you know, spades.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Let's talk a card game, folks, the game of spades. Really, man,
- 8:33Speaker 1: it ain't a whole lot you can do if you
- 8:35Speaker 1: don't get no spades. Really, it's a little couple of
- 8:38Speaker 1: little strategies you've gotta do. But you can have all
- 8:41Speaker 1: this age, king, queen, diamond all you want, But man,
- 8:43Speaker 1: you ain't got no spades, they're cutting them. You're in trouble.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Be it whist. Different game. You can create what's in
- 8:51Speaker 1: your hand. You got dealt a hand too, But you
- 8:54Speaker 1: can create a hand. You can call a trump. You
- 8:57Speaker 1: can make diamonds your spade. You can make hard to
- 9:01Speaker 1: clubs your spades. That's what I'm saying. That's what it is.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You can do something with it. It's a different game, man.
- 9:06Speaker 1: You can strategize. I would rather have a say so
- 9:09Speaker 1: in my life than to wake up every day and
- 9:11Speaker 1: just see how it's going. I think it's more difficult
- 9:15Speaker 1: to not accept the challenge to be something than it
- 9:18Speaker 1: is to accept the challenge to be something. I think
- 9:20Speaker 1: it's more difficult to sit around and not be nothing.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I think it's harder to watch everybody's life going somewhere
- 9:27Speaker 1: but mine. I think it would be very difficult for
- 9:29Speaker 1: me to sit here and hear them talking about other
- 9:32Speaker 1: people and never mention my name. I would be difficult
- 9:35Speaker 1: for me to see everybody rise and getting promotions accept me.
- 9:39Speaker 1: That would be difficult for me. It may not be
- 9:41Speaker 1: for you, but for me it would be quite challenging.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I would rather accept the challenge of making something out
- 9:47Speaker 1: of my life than to sit there and criticize those
- 9:51Speaker 1: and then watch and see how my life just may go. Okay,
- 9:54Speaker 1: just a thought today you're listening to ladies are gentlemen.
- 10:02Speaker 1: It's here to Steve Harvey Martin Show its own right now.
- 10:05Speaker 1: It's on your radio. I tell you what radio station is,
- 10:08Speaker 1: but you are to know it. And the only reason
- 10:10Speaker 1: I know you know it because you're listening. So why
- 10:13Speaker 1: would I say the damn numbers again? This is Steve
- 10:16Speaker 1: Harvey Martin Show. We opened this show with gratitude. Man,
- 10:19Speaker 1: get you two. Don't Gratitude affects your attitude, which is
- 10:24Speaker 1: a direct correlation with your altitude. You gotta understand that, y'all.
- 10:27Speaker 1: This is starting Shirley Strawberry calling for real mouth to
- 10:31Speaker 1: the South Misissippi, Monica. Uh, that boy kills Faith better
- 10:35Speaker 1: known as Junior and the legend that is Nephew Tommy.
- 10:40Speaker 1: This is how we started. Junior. What is on your
- 10:42Speaker 1: mind today? Let me ask you something. You've been in entertainment,
- 10:46Speaker 1: Bob thirty plus years. You've done just about everything. You've
- 10:51Speaker 1: been at the top of everything For a young person
- 10:55Speaker 1: like myself, man, what is your key to longevity? Like
- 10:57Speaker 1: that first of all, you have to become fearless. Feeless
- 11:02Speaker 1: in that you have to not be afraid to fail,
- 11:05Speaker 1: because failing is the process that's for starters. You cannot
- 11:11Speaker 1: be afraid to change course or reinvent yourself. That's the
- 11:18Speaker 1: second thing. And third thing. You have to have an
- 11:22Speaker 1: undying faith. I'm telling you, man, because there's so many
- 11:28Speaker 1: days where you're gonna get told no. You go to
- 11:31Speaker 1: pitch meetings, you're gonna have some great ideas. You're gonna
- 11:34Speaker 1: pitch it and they ain't gonna go nowhere. They're not
- 11:37Speaker 1: gonna go nowhere. And Doc, you're gonna beat the thought.
- 11:39Speaker 1: This thing out, man, this is it. You're gonna sit
- 11:42Speaker 1: up with your writers and your team. Man, we got it,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and you're gonna go in that room. You're gonna sit
- 11:46Speaker 1: out and they're gonna say, we love it. Send us
- 11:49Speaker 1: some more information and you'll never hear from them. People
- 11:51Speaker 1: rust your spirit. Brother. You have to have an undying
- 11:57Speaker 1: faith and you and you often times just have to
- 12:01Speaker 1: listen to yourself in that voice of God because in
- 12:04Speaker 1: anybody else is gonna be trying to help you. Man,
- 12:07Speaker 1: because your journey to success is so gruelling, so feel
- 12:13Speaker 1: with turmoil and disappointments, and it takes so long to
- 12:18Speaker 1: get that that the average person that supported you in
- 12:21Speaker 1: the beginning, they just lose interest. And so you've just
- 12:26Speaker 1: got to be able to listen to your voice and
- 12:29Speaker 1: the voice of God and here clearly and and and
- 12:33Speaker 1: when they says him, you still trying that. I thought
- 12:36Speaker 1: you'd beating made it by now. Wow, you know you
- 12:40Speaker 1: know maybe this ain't for you. That's true. You know,
- 12:44Speaker 1: why don't you just come oh home, you know, to
- 12:48Speaker 1: seem I just saw TV Edie Murphy did something else.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You wouldn't in that either. I'm in seriously, man, man,
- 12:56Speaker 1: I was he heard it off. I was hearing all
- 13:00Speaker 1: hands of stock, you know, they had a new movie
- 13:03Speaker 1: with all the people's in it, and I didn't see you.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And I said, well, you know one man, you know,
- 13:13Speaker 1: so you have to have an undying faith. Brother. You
- 13:15Speaker 1: got to be fearless, and you can't be afraid to
- 13:18Speaker 1: reinvent yourself. And that's that's the capacity. And you got
- 13:24Speaker 1: to prey though. Yeah, great advice, man, that's good. You
- 13:28Speaker 1: like that, junior, Great advice, But all point all in
- 13:33Speaker 1: my business? Oh yeah, all right, I don't know what
- 13:36Speaker 1: they're saying, coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:40Speaker 1: the nephew is here to run that prank back right
- 13:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, it is
- 13:47Speaker 1: time now to start your morning off with the prank
- 13:49Speaker 1: with the nephew. We're gonna run it back, nephew, what
- 13:52Speaker 1: you got. We're gonna run and run and running big.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Here it is Pecan treat Oh my granddad, you say, Pecan.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Let's go catch up. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach
- 14:04Speaker 1: uh lc hey, let me let me Hey. My name
- 14:09Speaker 1: is Marcus. Uh My mama and them little next dough
- 14:12Speaker 1: to you, mister and missus, my mom and daddy little
- 14:16Speaker 1: next dough to you. And I was calling because y'all
- 14:19Speaker 1: got a pecuntry in y'all backyard, I mean right on
- 14:23Speaker 1: the fish line and to keep you know, pecan and
- 14:26Speaker 1: stuff keep falling over into my mom and them yard.
- 14:28Speaker 1: So I'm talling to see if y'all can do something man,
- 14:32Speaker 1: where y'all can pick up. I mean, my mom and
- 14:35Speaker 1: them got a little older. You know, we've been picking
- 14:37Speaker 1: them up for a long time. But I need somebody
- 14:40Speaker 1: to like, maybe you can cut the limbs back. That's
- 14:42Speaker 1: hanging over so that they won't you know, the pecans
- 14:45Speaker 1: won't be falling over into my mom and them yard
- 14:48Speaker 1: because you know, for them to be bending over like
- 14:49Speaker 1: they're picking up them pacan and it's a lot of them.
- 14:52Speaker 1: So you know, mister, I just wanted to haul at
- 14:55Speaker 1: you and see if you don't mind maybe cutting the
- 14:57Speaker 1: limbs back, because even when we turned the law on
- 15:00Speaker 1: and stuff, man, it just you know, the beacons and
- 15:02Speaker 1: stuff be coming out of the lamo just shooting all
- 15:05Speaker 1: over the place. Well, first of all, mavacorn tree. There's
- 15:09Speaker 1: an old con tree, and h it's bout well and
- 15:14Speaker 1: I can't see me cutting it. Well. I mean, I'm
- 15:17Speaker 1: not saying you can't have no body to maintain your yard,
- 15:22Speaker 1: but I mean you it's your mother. You can maintain
- 15:26Speaker 1: your mother's yard, Sir. I go by my mother's house,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you know, every other day and check on them. But
- 15:31Speaker 1: I don't have time to go on the back and
- 15:32Speaker 1: pick up pecans and stuff. You know what I'm saying.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I mean, if you just it don't seem no more
- 15:37Speaker 1: than like maybe four or five limbs that's hanging over there.
- 15:40Speaker 1: But then four or five limbs, I mean they they
- 15:42Speaker 1: there's a lot of pecans falling off of that. So
- 15:45Speaker 1: if you mavacorn tree and shady I goes back there,
- 15:50Speaker 1: there's nothing, no kind of nothing back there. Okay, d whatever, sir.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I'm not cutting my tree for a little like that. Sir. Listen,
- 15:59Speaker 1: what I'm what I'm trying to get you to do
- 16:00Speaker 1: is I'm not I don't want you cutting your entire
- 16:02Speaker 1: tree down. I just want you to cut a few limbs, sir,
- 16:05Speaker 1: so you know those that way that those are the
- 16:08Speaker 1: ones that are hanging over it won't be you know,
- 16:10Speaker 1: the pecans won't be falling over into my mom's them yard.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And and and you know, like I say, they're older now, man,
- 16:15Speaker 1: they can't be bending over like that. So you know,
- 16:18Speaker 1: I'm I'm just coming to you as a man right
- 16:20Speaker 1: now and asking you when you please cut this down
- 16:23Speaker 1: to these pecans can quit falling over my mom and
- 16:25Speaker 1: them yard almost and you all you can do is
- 16:28Speaker 1: hid from one. Okay, someone I know your mother. Don't
- 16:31Speaker 1: cut your yard. No, it's it's a guy that it's
- 16:34Speaker 1: a guy that cuts the yard. But even when he
- 16:36Speaker 1: cutting the yard, these pecans is flying out from underneath
- 16:40Speaker 1: the y'all the law more they soon A lady, we're
- 16:42Speaker 1: gonna be breaking windows over there. What kind of lord
- 16:46Speaker 1: person you have that don't pick up before they cut food?
- 16:49Speaker 1: Why am I arguing with you about picking up stuff
- 16:52Speaker 1: and all of this? I'm asking you to cut a
- 16:54Speaker 1: funking left five limbs so these dog gonna pecans ain't
- 16:57Speaker 1: are falling over my mama yard. You you want cut
- 17:00Speaker 1: you you're gonna make me come over here and cut
- 17:02Speaker 1: the hole. I would come cut the whole damn tree down.
- 17:05Speaker 1: You ain't gonna put my tree. I grew that tree
- 17:08Speaker 1: from when I was the kids, and that tree gonna
- 17:10Speaker 1: stay now or long as I stay though. Sir, Look,
- 17:14Speaker 1: I didn't ask you like a man to cut your
- 17:16Speaker 1: little funk it, but coun tree down now. I ain't
- 17:19Speaker 1: in the hat no what I what? Guess what? You you?
- 17:23Speaker 1: You bad enough you can't cut it. I've been look sir,
- 17:27Speaker 1: tonight today, ruther this evening. It's either gonna be two
- 17:31Speaker 1: things happening. Either you're gonna cut the five limbs that
- 17:33Speaker 1: I won't cut off in the cut, cut the whole
- 17:36Speaker 1: damn or corn tree down. That's my tree in any game.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Nobody gonna put my tree. I'm here right now. I'm
- 17:43Speaker 1: you're not hearing them the yard right now. Come on,
- 17:44Speaker 1: it's you over that right now, right now, I would
- 17:48Speaker 1: bring my right home back. You know what, you get
- 17:51Speaker 1: my numb in the way got your mother. I got
- 17:54Speaker 1: it because it's the same. It's one that dress left
- 17:57Speaker 1: than my mama's. You're gonna cut this damn tree down.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I'm waiting on him. But anyway, man, I ain't used
- 18:02Speaker 1: my printing studing in a long time. Any wait, I've
- 18:05Speaker 1: been waiting on them like you. You didn't love your
- 18:08Speaker 1: damn mind. You live, you pock. I told you oncet
- 18:12Speaker 1: and I told you twice. I'm old you young. Don't
- 18:16Speaker 1: do that. See that's what's right. Then. You know what
- 18:19Speaker 1: you can do? Tell your mom to make up a
- 18:21Speaker 1: corn pie. What you say by my mom? Tell her
- 18:25Speaker 1: to make a pacorn pope and come for me. Tell
- 18:29Speaker 1: my mama what make a corn poe with make up?
- 18:34Speaker 1: Pecan pie? I don't want no pecan proper. We don't
- 18:37Speaker 1: even eat pecan pie. We're so sick. And he's damn pecoran.

- 20:30Speaker 1: y'all boy, y'all man. I got one more question for you.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Tell me what is the baddest radio station in the land.
- 20:39Speaker 1: L C. All right, we're moving on. Thank you, nephew.
- 20:46Speaker 1: That's listen. It's coming up next. It is asked to
- 20:50Speaker 1: see cl with our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in
- 20:53Speaker 1: the building ready for your love questions. Right after this,
- 20:57Speaker 1: don't where I'm on my word, you're listening. Stave Harvey
- 21:01Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:04Speaker 1: And entertainment news Cardie b accuses the Shade Room of
- 21:08Speaker 1: gaslighting her online. The seventy fourth Annual Emmy nominations are
- 21:13Speaker 1: out plus in Trending Gambling News Drake Roulette winning reach
- 21:19Speaker 1: twenty five million dollars for Drake. Can you believe that
- 21:23Speaker 1: we'll talk a million? Yeah, five million. We'll tell you
- 21:26Speaker 1: what happened always bet on Black. We'll talk about all
- 21:34Speaker 1: these stories. Like I said at the top of the hour.
- 21:35Speaker 1: But right now it is time for ask the CLO
- 21:39Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building ready for
- 21:42Speaker 1: your love questions. This one's from Alexandria in Jacksonville. Alexandria writes,
- 21:48Speaker 1: my husband will celebrate his fortieth birthday in August, and
- 21:52Speaker 1: I'm planning to have a small gathering at our house
- 21:55Speaker 1: and then take only a few of the guests to
- 21:57Speaker 1: the strip club to surprise him. How do I get
- 22:00Speaker 1: his parents and his sister to leave before we do? Um.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I don't want it to be obvious so that they're excluded.
- 22:09Speaker 1: So best way to do is tell his mama, who
- 22:12Speaker 1: probably go to church, that y'all going down to the
- 22:14Speaker 1: strip club, that a clu really, that a clud right
- 22:18Speaker 1: on out? You know what? Baby? But you know I'm
- 22:22Speaker 1: gonna tell y'all, man, you know, that's the new thing
- 22:25Speaker 1: now these young people, now that women go to the
- 22:28Speaker 1: strip club as much as men do. It's a whole
- 22:31Speaker 1: different culture thing now. Man, Yeah, so I ain't got
- 22:34Speaker 1: no advice for you, but just tell mama, I'm gonna
- 22:40Speaker 1: just tell you this a bad idea. Okay, Why do
- 22:43Speaker 1: you say that taking your husband to a strip club
- 22:46Speaker 1: on his forty birthday? It's just a bad idea. I
- 22:48Speaker 1: don't know what you think men are thinking when we're
- 22:51Speaker 1: watching a stripper, but it ain't che I don't. I don't.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I don't know what you think. A man it's in
- 23:01Speaker 1: his head at the strip club. But I can tell
- 23:03Speaker 1: you right now, the entire time he's there, he's thinking
- 23:08Speaker 1: of doing something to that girl that's on that pole.
- 23:12Speaker 1: That's what he died that thinking. That's what men think.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Focus while you know you're sitting up to check your
- 23:22Speaker 1: husband down here for his funny birthday, just what he
- 23:25Speaker 1: died there doing. Okays, f man, you want me to
- 23:30Speaker 1: have a good time, drop me off, you go home,
- 23:32Speaker 1: Let me go on, little we go. Should have been
- 23:36Speaker 1: here going here with me. Now, I gotta act like
- 23:39Speaker 1: I don't care about this girl upon this pole man,
- 23:44Speaker 1: because I want damn they want to marry huh that night? Anyway, yeah,
- 23:50Speaker 1: that ain't a man living that they went to the
- 23:53Speaker 1: strip club. Wanted one of them? Man? Okay, all right, good,
- 24:00Speaker 1: three of them do something else? All right? Dom in
- 24:05Speaker 1: Maryland says, I'm a thirty three year old married woman
- 24:10Speaker 1: married to a greedy, selfish man. I can't keep leftovers
- 24:14Speaker 1: or have any snacks to myself. If I hide things,
- 24:17Speaker 1: he finds them. He thinks, because he is the breadwinner,
- 24:20Speaker 1: he shouldn't have to ask for permission first. He has
- 24:23Speaker 1: no shame in this game? How do I get him
- 24:25Speaker 1: to be more considerate? Girl? Girl? This ain't yo man? Hungry? Well?
- 24:34Speaker 1: What is your number? Selfish and inconsiderate? What do you
- 24:37Speaker 1: hidey food? Why don't y'all buid enough? See all this here?
- 24:41Speaker 1: You stashing food? Now? He got to go looking for
- 24:44Speaker 1: he hunged? He ain't selfish and inconsiderate hunger? He's still
- 24:51Speaker 1: hide pack all the food in the fingerate to fill
- 24:53Speaker 1: up the cabinets with snacks. He ain't got to go
- 24:56Speaker 1: looking forward? What did you hide the food from? But
- 25:00Speaker 1: he said, he's fat ass? You know what's up? He's
- 25:03Speaker 1: gonna find them anyway if she hides them. Everyonebody hiding
- 25:09Speaker 1: food now? Uh? Roaches all this hiding this food all
- 25:15Speaker 1: fat boy hung But Steve, he said he's a brand within.
- 25:20Speaker 1: He said, I bought the food. I ain't got to
- 25:24Speaker 1: ask for your permission. No, really, no, ladies, what's wrong?
- 25:29Speaker 1: Y'all got a food issue at y'all house? M Yeah,
- 25:33Speaker 1: leftovers and snacks, all right? Moving on to Chloe and Houston.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Chloe says, my best friend and I went to Mexico
- 25:39Speaker 1: with three other women on a girl's trip. The travel
- 25:42Speaker 1: agency booked us in one bedroom suite and I had
- 25:45Speaker 1: to sleep in a chair. I paid the same group
- 25:48Speaker 1: rate as they did, but I think I deserve a
- 25:51Speaker 1: partial refund. I think that's fair. Am I wrong for
- 25:54Speaker 1: asking these ladies for some money back? Y'all in one
- 25:58Speaker 1: big room suite? How many y'all? How many did she say?
- 26:01Speaker 1: It was? Five? Five yall in? Or one in one suite?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Somebody somebody gonna get the couch, two of them gonna
- 26:11Speaker 1: get the bed. Now the rest of y'all is It
- 26:14Speaker 1: ain't nothing left for two chairs. It's a chair and
- 26:18Speaker 1: that little bitch down at the foot of the bed.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Anybody the ottoman? You can't roll either way? You know that. Now,
- 26:28Speaker 1: I don't know how y'all didn't rotate, but they just
- 26:32Speaker 1: demoted you to the chair. And you know, I don't know.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Quit going on these poeass vacations. Y'all ain't got the money.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Damn they got all these they got all these all
- 26:45Speaker 1: inclusive restaurants. Results I quit taking these poeass vacations. You
- 26:51Speaker 1: can't go to Mexico, y'all ass shit went to making
- 26:55Speaker 1: Georgia or something. Y'all ain't had the money from Mexico.
- 27:00Speaker 1: You could have went the Minnesota, Minneapolis, you could, but
- 27:07Speaker 1: you know you went to vacation. You ain't got the
- 27:09Speaker 1: money to go to bed. Yeah, if you visit me,
- 27:14Speaker 1: if you don't have the money for your own bed,
- 27:18Speaker 1: this ain't gonna be much of a vacation. Yeah, stopped
- 27:23Speaker 1: taking all the whole ass vacation. I'll go to Mexico
- 27:27Speaker 1: to sleep on the damn float. Yeah, you all down there,
- 27:35Speaker 1: seen your frog all night long. Now your ass got
- 27:39Speaker 1: to go crawl up in this damn chill You down
- 27:42Speaker 1: there with your minute skirt on, your little tight ass,
- 27:44Speaker 1: stretching high ass heels. Now you have been here. You
- 27:47Speaker 1: got to sleep in the fetal position because your ass
- 27:51Speaker 1: is on the beans band in Mexico and ain't all
- 27:54Speaker 1: got all the beans in it? Frog? Yeah, and then
- 28:01Speaker 1: with all this poeass message, Yeah yeah, all that yeah. Okay,
- 28:08Speaker 1: So try to go to ben No write this off.
- 28:12Speaker 1: They're not going to give you no reform at all.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Y'all back at the house now, yeah, stop going, all
- 28:18Speaker 1: right quickly if we can get to the last one.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Pernelia and Hampton says, I find it hard to believe
- 28:22Speaker 1: that dating is so bad for ladies over seventy. I
- 28:26Speaker 1: lost my husband six years ago, and I want the
- 28:28Speaker 1: comfort of a man's touch and someone to laugh with
- 28:30Speaker 1: and talk to. There are no men at my church,
- 28:33Speaker 1: So how do I find love at my age? Lady,
- 28:36Speaker 1: you over seven and you ain't supposed to be dating
- 28:38Speaker 1: right now. You just need to seeing some people you
- 28:40Speaker 1: ain't got to. What's the different seeing some people? You
- 28:46Speaker 1: need to go out with anybody you can't eighty ninety seventy.
- 28:50Speaker 1: You're gonna have to tour. You're gonna have to go
- 28:52Speaker 1: on tour. You got home. He's in the home. You
- 28:56Speaker 1: got to go down to the DFW. You're gonna have
- 28:59Speaker 1: to go down to the vech this hospital. You have
- 29:01Speaker 1: to go down here to cut a calm lescent home.
- 29:03Speaker 1: You're gonna have to run. You're gonna you goad to
- 29:06Speaker 1: make friends that some rehab centers. You gotta make some friends.
- 29:09Speaker 1: You gotta spread out in a whole out of semi
- 29:11Speaker 1: old people left that can date. Thank you. I'm sorry.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Coming up in the top of the hour, we'll have
- 29:19Speaker 1: some entertainment news for you. Right after this, you're listening
- 29:23Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. All right, So Cardie b is
- 29:28Speaker 1: beefing with the blog once again. This time Carty is
- 29:31Speaker 1: taking issue with the Shade Room. She says they have
- 29:35Speaker 1: been trying to gaslight her. Do you know how when
- 29:40Speaker 1: you lie to a person try to make them think
- 29:42Speaker 1: they're crazy, you're psychologically manipulating their minds, trying to think
- 29:47Speaker 1: they make them think they are crazy. So you're lying
- 29:50Speaker 1: to them. That's what it is, Steve. You're trying to say,
- 29:53Speaker 1: you do that out Yeah, Yeah, that's what it is, Steve.
- 30:00Speaker 1: That's what it is. So the Shade Room, it's gaslighting
- 30:05Speaker 1: her because they're leaving up a post about her daughter
- 30:07Speaker 1: culture despite efforts to have it removed. The Shade Room
- 30:11Speaker 1: responded to a critique that it focuses on negativity by
- 30:14Speaker 1: providing examples of what actually what was actually they thought
- 30:20Speaker 1: positive coverage. That's when Carti fired back in a video, saying,
- 30:25Speaker 1: now you guys want to gaslight me, And if you
- 30:27Speaker 1: guys are not doing shady stuff on purpose, why mute
- 30:30Speaker 1: me from commenting? And then you post certain things positive
- 30:34Speaker 1: about me so you can continuously post negative things about me.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Then you don't do this to other artists. Since then,
- 30:42Speaker 1: the two sides managed to hash things out in a
- 30:45Speaker 1: private phone call. The Shade Room says it has come
- 30:47Speaker 1: to a resolution and is putting the issue to rest
- 30:51Speaker 1: and moving on, wishing Carti the best and continued success.
- 30:54Speaker 1: A tweak from the Shade Room reads what happened earlier
- 30:57Speaker 1: was bad, but how it ended was good. Editors also
- 31:02Speaker 1: vowed to never subject readers to this kind of behavior again.
- 31:06Speaker 1: So yeah, wow, that's crazy, man, that these blogs have
- 31:11Speaker 1: that type of power. Power. Yeah, the only reason they
- 31:15Speaker 1: have that type of power is because they're giving that
- 31:18Speaker 1: type of power. You know what I'm saying, You mean
- 31:21Speaker 1: the credibility, because well, I think it's just the credibility
- 31:28Speaker 1: is that the same thing as validity? See if they're saying,
- 31:37Speaker 1: but I mean, you know, what if if you. If
- 31:41Speaker 1: you in your mind make something valid, then it's valid.
- 31:46Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I don't know if I'm
- 31:47Speaker 1: explaining to myself correctly. I'm just saying this right here
- 31:53Speaker 1: because so many people are on the Shape Room. They
- 31:56Speaker 1: think what it is. It's true. They believe the Shape Room.
- 31:59Speaker 1: That's true. That's true because this generation gets all their
- 32:03Speaker 1: information from online. They don't watch see Ann ain't it.
- 32:09Speaker 1: They're not see Ann headline news, they don't watch it
- 32:12Speaker 1: Today's show, Good Morning in America. They don't get Ain't
- 32:15Speaker 1: no newspapers. They go online. And it's true. And if
- 32:21Speaker 1: the Shade Room, if they're posting these stories though just
- 32:24Speaker 1: because you as a celebrity, you may be the content
- 32:26Speaker 1: of the story does not mean it's not true that
- 32:30Speaker 1: they're posting it. You just don't like the content of
- 32:35Speaker 1: the story or how they're doing. Do you see what
- 32:37Speaker 1: I'm saying? Is it two sides? Well? But I think
- 32:40Speaker 1: you know, I mean the Shade Room just like most
- 32:43Speaker 1: blog sites are not reputable news set. If they operate gossip,
- 32:49Speaker 1: they operate off rumor. They operate because that's how they
- 32:53Speaker 1: get eyeballs. You know, they operate off in your window
- 32:57Speaker 1: and it's a bit unfair to celebrities a lot of
- 33:00Speaker 1: times because they become targeted by false information and then
- 33:05Speaker 1: people run with it. You know. I'll give you an example.
- 33:09Speaker 1: The other day, Um, this little girl, one of these
- 33:12Speaker 1: twin girls, posted me I was in Paris and she
- 33:17Speaker 1: said come home, daddy, and yeah, and the shade room
- 33:23Speaker 1: they went to work. Now I don't even know this exists,
- 33:26Speaker 1: but it was people on that saying, well, she's obviously
- 33:29Speaker 1: saying that because he must have been over there be folk.
- 33:32Speaker 1: And then you know, it was people going, are y'all,
- 33:34Speaker 1: y'all being messy, y'all, what are y'all talking about? Then
- 33:36Speaker 1: the girl came out and said she just has a
- 33:39Speaker 1: crush on several married men, and she made a whole
- 33:42Speaker 1: list of people she has a crush on. But from
- 33:45Speaker 1: my standpoint, I just get a picture of me and
- 33:48Speaker 1: this young girl says, come home, daddy. I don't even
- 33:51Speaker 1: know this little girl, and I can't come home to nobody.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And then I don't what she won't. And then and
- 33:58Speaker 1: then somebody say, yeah, you're a married man too, yeah,
- 34:02Speaker 1: and then somebody saying, all she wanted forwards his money
- 34:05Speaker 1: and I'm sorry, but Marjorie has all of that, so
- 34:10Speaker 1: I ain't got nothing for nobody else. She got all
- 34:14Speaker 1: that I can't. I can't help you. You know, I
- 34:18Speaker 1: can send you a couple of hundred, but that I
- 34:20Speaker 1: got off on the side, two hundred dollars. Yeah, I
- 34:24Speaker 1: can send you a couple of hundred. I can move
- 34:26Speaker 1: that without nobody knows. Yea thousand I got talk to
- 34:30Speaker 1: accountants and stuff. Yeah. It goes back to you can't
- 34:33Speaker 1: believe everything you read just because it's posted doesn't mean
- 34:36Speaker 1: it's true. It doesn't you know, you gotta check your
- 34:39Speaker 1: sources all of that. You don't have to believe everything
- 34:41Speaker 1: you're well, you know, it's hard. Imagine if you were
- 34:44Speaker 1: famous for it, take take put yourself and Tommy got
- 34:48Speaker 1: a show bit on TV selling scenes he's subject to this.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Kier goes out onto a subject. Imagine if people just
- 34:56Speaker 1: started posting stuff about you, right, didn't add nothing right
- 35:01Speaker 1: and just start saying stuff that has a little bit
- 35:04Speaker 1: of truth in it, right. Yeah, Yeah, And I think
- 35:07Speaker 1: this particular situation. They posted a video of culture Cardi
- 35:11Speaker 1: B's daughter by holding the money from a birthday party,
- 35:16Speaker 1: but her dad posted the video, so they kind of
- 35:19Speaker 1: reposted I think what her dad did sack of money. Yeah,
- 35:24Speaker 1: I think that's the issue that Cardie wanted. I don't.
- 35:28Speaker 1: I don't know, but it doesn't seem like it was
- 35:30Speaker 1: something they made up. It's my point. Well, the other
- 35:34Speaker 1: key is, and what I try to tell people that
- 35:37Speaker 1: I know who are famous, try not to give them
- 35:41Speaker 1: a pin to stick you in. How you put your kids?
- 35:45Speaker 1: Come on, man, if you put some giving them a pin? Now? Yeah?
- 35:51Speaker 1: All right? Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour,
- 35:55Speaker 1: threesome on a cruise ship started a fight between about
- 35:58Speaker 1: sixty people right after the pitch. A lot of people don't. Yeah,
- 36:08Speaker 1: you're listening to show. This is a crazy story right here.
- 36:15Speaker 1: It's about this huge fight between sixty people. It broke
- 36:18Speaker 1: out on board the Carnival cruise ship Magic about a
- 36:21Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago. I'll say the ship was headed
- 36:24Speaker 1: back to New York when a fight started over cheating
- 36:27Speaker 1: allegations in a threesome between passengers they had upset their
- 36:31Speaker 1: significant others. Witnesses say the fight lasted over half an hour.
- 36:36Speaker 1: More people kept getting involved, beer bottles and glasses were
- 36:39Speaker 1: flying everywhere. Witnesses went on to say that people fought
- 36:42Speaker 1: from the fifth floor all the way down to the
- 36:44Speaker 1: first floor. Almost all of what is going on of
- 36:52Speaker 1: these cruise ships, what is happening almost all of the carnivals.
- 37:00Speaker 1: You know what you're saying, thirty minutes, that's a lot
- 37:02Speaker 1: of that. You're not alone. That is to be thirty minutes.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I saw breaks because first all all you see is
- 37:11Speaker 1: the fight. All you just see the fight, all these
- 37:14Speaker 1: people fighting, and then you're wondering, what are they fighting
- 37:16Speaker 1: about it? And stuff? Do they have a clip of it? Yeah?
- 37:21Speaker 1: I saw it online because somebody, please send me the clip. Okay,
- 37:25Speaker 1: let me ask you up. Okay, here we go a
- 37:26Speaker 1: couple racial questionsn't really tell who's any black people on
- 37:36Speaker 1: this shield? You know that? Why are they the three?
- 37:42Speaker 1: Because this black people fighting? White people fighting? Because that
- 37:46Speaker 1: of him, I really couldn't tell. Everybody showed me the
- 37:50Speaker 1: video and I'll be able to break it down. Here.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Just send me the video. We come back to close
- 37:57Speaker 1: and remark, I will break down. Give me time to
- 38:00Speaker 1: analyze the video. They weren't naked, all right. All of
- 38:09Speaker 1: the carnival security team had to break up the fight,
- 38:12Speaker 1: called the US Coast Guard and the NYC gets to
- 38:16Speaker 1: disembark the passengers. But but this is what I love
- 38:19Speaker 1: about this whole story, this last line. Overall, passengers said
- 38:24Speaker 1: it was a good trip. I'm gonna tell you right now.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Fix fight from the fifth flow down to the first move.
- 38:33Speaker 1: You gotta go put your robo. Somebody gotta go some
- 38:39Speaker 1: house shoes. Did the threesome know each other? Did they
- 38:43Speaker 1: just meet on the ship. There's so many questions. Yeah,
- 38:47Speaker 1: they just up and down the promenade, Dick, that's how
- 38:54Speaker 1: Wait a minute, this was crazy, though, this is really crazy.
- 39:05Speaker 1: You're huh, oh man, that's why I got sixty people.
- 39:10Speaker 1: But that wasn't in to fight at all. Yeah, keep
- 39:15Speaker 1: in mind, overall the passenger said it was a good trip. Okay,
- 39:20Speaker 1: they're getting around. Yeah, coming up in thirty four minutes
- 39:23Speaker 1: after the hour. We'll check Steve's voicemail. Right after this,
- 39:27Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steven,
- 39:33Speaker 1: it's time to check your voicemail. If you would like
- 39:36Speaker 1: to leave Steve a message, call him eight seven seven
- 39:39Speaker 1: twenty nine, Steve. This one's from genuine. He has a
- 39:42Speaker 1: comment about the January sixth insurrection hearings. I don't Yeah,
- 39:48Speaker 1: Family Morning Crew. My name is genuine. Um. I want
- 39:53Speaker 1: to ask a question, why is there not saying that
- 39:57Speaker 1: it was tree. It was treating on January sixth, that's
- 40:02Speaker 1: what it's called. Why they're denying the name of it.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Why they're denying the name that it was treason? The
- 40:08Speaker 1: authors beget in either life under the Gun, what it
- 40:11Speaker 1: says in the books. Anyway, it's a question why is
- 40:15Speaker 1: it not called treason? What has been done? What was
- 40:17Speaker 1: done on January sixth, and that's what it was, peace,
- 40:21Speaker 1: one love, and you know what January You're exactly right.
- 40:25Speaker 1: But the reason that it's not being called treason is
- 40:29Speaker 1: because these are Trump followers and they they they redirect everything.
- 40:37Speaker 1: The election was not rigged or stolen. It was a
- 40:41Speaker 1: complete lie. The entire Republican Party has joined in with
- 40:46Speaker 1: the lie because of their fear of Donald Trump. What
- 40:49Speaker 1: that insurrection was was treason, exactly what it was. But
- 40:55Speaker 1: the Republicans, if you're listening to these hearings, they're redirecting
- 41:01Speaker 1: all of that. It's that they were just concerned citizens,
- 41:05Speaker 1: They were motivated protesters. They were everything. When you went
- 41:09Speaker 1: in there and broken them people's offices and had your
- 41:12Speaker 1: feet up on the desk and desecrated those offices and
- 41:16Speaker 1: broke into that building and kill people and kill these officers.
- 41:21Speaker 1: That's murder. That's an act of treason. Yes, that's the
- 41:26Speaker 1: highest crime and it is punishable by death. They're not
- 41:30Speaker 1: gonna do any of this now. I'll tell you what.
- 41:32Speaker 1: The Democrats are doing a good job, and this committee
- 41:37Speaker 1: they're laying out a great case. But if they keep
- 41:41Speaker 1: letting these flynds. I mean, this dude was General Flynn
- 41:45Speaker 1: was at the meeting before condoning all of this on
- 41:48Speaker 1: behalf of the president. If they keep letting these people
- 41:52Speaker 1: plead the fifth I'm not answering no subpoenas, then what
- 41:56Speaker 1: the hell do we have law for you? Let your
- 41:59Speaker 1: black ass talk about you ain't gonna go down there
- 42:02Speaker 1: for the subpoena and see what happened to you. We're
- 42:05Speaker 1: going down man, please so miss me with all this
- 42:08Speaker 1: hit the mess. These two rules, one for white people
- 42:11Speaker 1: and one for black people. That's the American way. And
- 42:14Speaker 1: now they got a rule for the Republicans and rule
- 42:17Speaker 1: for the Democrat that's the American way, and were letting
- 42:20Speaker 1: them get away with it. When we're gonna make them
- 42:22Speaker 1: follow the same rules that everybody else got to follow.
- 42:25Speaker 1: You get to court subpoena and you're talking about I'm
- 42:27Speaker 1: not going down there. They put you on try you
- 42:30Speaker 1: plead to Phil. You're ask to be in jail. You
- 42:32Speaker 1: can plead all the fifth. You one, you can do
- 42:33Speaker 1: the fourth and the third, two while you and there
- 42:37Speaker 1: next question? All right, thank you, genuine, that's okay. This
- 42:40Speaker 1: caller is from a DC, Steve Washington, d C. Good morning,

- 46:55Speaker 1: are you? My name is Tony. I'm Deandre's daddy. DeAndre
- 47:00Speaker 1: played on this past season. They played on the football
- 47:03Speaker 1: to they played on them on the Seahawks together. Okay, okay,
- 47:06Speaker 1: but like, why are you calling me? Okay, I'm calling
- 47:10Speaker 1: you for a particular reason. Let me tell you what's
- 47:11Speaker 1: going on. There's this whole plan's football season. Your soller, Isaiah,
- 47:16Speaker 1: he was a starting quarterback, right, Yeah, he's yeah, he's
- 47:19Speaker 1: a thirtain quarterback. He works real hard. Like that's that's
- 47:23Speaker 1: let me tell me, Gonna says, I already know that
- 47:25Speaker 1: my son DeAndre is way better than your son, Isaiah.
- 47:29Speaker 1: I already know that all right now. I don't get
- 47:31Speaker 1: to excuse you. No, they don't excuse me. I'm not
- 47:34Speaker 1: gonna excuse myself about this. I've been wanting to get
- 47:36Speaker 1: you on the phone so i can tell you exactly
- 47:38Speaker 1: what's going on. Let me tell you something that when
- 47:40Speaker 1: when the season come back around, when they get ready
- 47:43Speaker 1: to play again, I'm telling you right now, my son
- 47:45Speaker 1: DeAndre gonna be starting. Please blow that. Just trust me.
- 47:49Speaker 1: I'll swear to you. I know what you did for
- 47:51Speaker 1: your Excuse me, excuse me you you who do you
- 47:55Speaker 1: think you are calling me telling me that your son
- 47:57Speaker 1: is gonna take my fund because this and on the team.
- 47:59Speaker 1: How do you even have my number? Got? I got
- 48:01Speaker 1: your number from a reliable soart what are the parents?
- 48:04Speaker 1: Gave me your number? But what's like? What kind of
- 48:06Speaker 1: mental problems you got calling my house telling me about
- 48:09Speaker 1: how your son is. So your son is like not
- 48:11Speaker 1: barely even on the team, he's not even starting, Okay, No,
- 48:14Speaker 1: my son at eight start? Okay, well he gonna be
- 48:17Speaker 1: starting next year. Okay, But I don't know what you
- 48:20Speaker 1: did for your son to be started. Trust me, I
- 48:22Speaker 1: don't know what you did. Can just I didn't do anything.
- 48:25Speaker 1: My son earned his position. So I mean, I don't.
- 48:27Speaker 1: I don't really get what you're saying here. You're talking
- 48:29Speaker 1: about talking some big game about your son taking my
- 48:32Speaker 1: son's position. Like, first of all, I don't even know
- 48:34Speaker 1: who you are. I don't know how you got my number.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Like these these are kids, it's not it's really not
- 48:39Speaker 1: that serious. Like their kids out there having a good
- 48:41Speaker 1: time trying to play a game, like, I haven't seen
- 48:45Speaker 1: you at a game. I don't know, I don't know
- 48:48Speaker 1: what you could think. You are stepping up being like
- 48:51Speaker 1: my son is gonna take your son's position, Like, what
- 48:53Speaker 1: kind of clazy are you? You're calling me out of nowhere,
- 48:56Speaker 1: out of that, you're calling me numbhere, out of the
- 48:58Speaker 1: clear blue. I'm just in my business. My son is
- 49:01Speaker 1: playing this game. Who the are you and why are
- 49:03Speaker 1: you calling me like? I ain't been in no games,
- 49:07Speaker 1: but I'm gonna beat there on next season. I'll beat there. Okay, okay,
- 49:10Speaker 1: I mean you could try, You could try. You might
- 49:12Speaker 1: not want to come to your son. Still ain't certain,
- 49:15Speaker 1: but let's go on. Get to the reason why I
- 49:16Speaker 1: called you. I already know why your son started. So
- 49:19Speaker 1: that's going on. That's what what? No, my son is
- 49:23Speaker 1: starting because he earned his position. He's the best on
- 49:25Speaker 1: the team. He arm you're saying that, candics, But are
- 49:30Speaker 1: you shooing your son ain't starting because maybe you maybe
- 49:33Speaker 1: you slept, maybe you slept with coach Brian? What wait,
- 49:37Speaker 1: excuse you? Like, did you did you? Did you sleep
- 49:40Speaker 1: with coach Brian? So you'll soon you get that position.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Did you do that? Your mama slept with coach for
- 49:45Speaker 1: coach Brian with her drive, that's why your son ain't playing.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Who do you think you are accusing me and sleeping
- 49:51Speaker 1: with a game coach? Hey, hey, I'm just I'm just
- 49:54Speaker 1: letting you know, I know what you did for. You
- 49:56Speaker 1: don't know, you don't know, you don't know here so
- 50:00Speaker 1: so so you you singing you a seven coach, Brad,
- 50:02Speaker 1: that's what you're saying that to yo? So as they
- 50:04Speaker 1: are started, because he's just because because hey, they just
- 50:07Speaker 1: picked him in the start. You are crazy. First of all,
- 50:11Speaker 1: you're gonna have to talk to my husband because these
- 50:14Speaker 1: accusations are ridiculous and out of control. Like, I don't
- 50:17Speaker 1: know who the do you think you are calling the
- 50:19Speaker 1: house excusing me of sleeping with the coach my son
- 50:22Speaker 1: earnest positions on the team. He's like, the who do
- 50:26Speaker 1: you think you are? You are great, bud? Who is yours?
- 50:29Speaker 1: Who is that? My husband is Curtis? So you don't
- 50:32Speaker 1: know because you may never showed up for your own
- 50:34Speaker 1: damn son. Okay, Curtis your your little name, Curtis Okay, okay,
- 50:38Speaker 1: So I'll tell you what I need I need to
- 50:39Speaker 1: talk to Curtius. I'm what I need to do. Oh,
- 50:41Speaker 1: you're gonna more than talk to Curtis. You're gonna catch
- 50:43Speaker 1: some man from Curtis with that mouth. Okay, all good,
- 50:48Speaker 1: so so so let me answer this. You're trying like
- 50:50Speaker 1: Curtis that drive trucks. That's Curtis. I'm talking about Curtis,
- 50:55Speaker 1: my husband and my house. You don't know who we
- 50:57Speaker 1: are because you ain't never showed up. You ain't nobody.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Your kid is nobody. Don't call his book, and you
- 51:04Speaker 1: need to call back into whatever the hall you came
- 51:07Speaker 1: out of, because I am not here for this. Curtis
- 51:10Speaker 1: is a truck driver, right, Yeah, you're lucky here on
- 51:12Speaker 1: your Otober yet. Oh okay, okay, you're trying my Curtis.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Nah nah nah? Can I tell you something else? Or
- 51:19Speaker 1: I didn't find out of my Curtis. I tell you
- 51:21Speaker 1: that I don't. I don't, I don't. I kind of
- 51:23Speaker 1: don't want to hear anything that comes out of your mouth.
- 51:25Speaker 1: At this point, I sell you just the last thing
- 51:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna say out my mouth. Can I just tell
- 51:30Speaker 1: you what I know? My Curtis, you better bake it quick.
- 51:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna make it quick. Curtis got me to playing
- 51:36Speaker 1: phone call you. This is nephew Tommy cann This from
- 51:39Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by
- 51:41Speaker 1: your husband purchased? Are you? We're in the radio right now? No,
- 51:51Speaker 1: you right now, but you're gonna be on in the
- 51:54Speaker 1: morning though. Oh my, Curtn't it like my heart is
- 51:58Speaker 1: racing right now? Can phone and tear off your throat? Kid?
- 52:04Speaker 1: You mean my husband put you up to this. Your
- 52:06Speaker 1: husband got me to call your baby. You said your
- 52:09Speaker 1: son is an amazing quarterback. I staid, cool, We're gonna
- 52:12Speaker 1: do this, yo. You don't understand. My chest feels like
- 52:16Speaker 1: a vice right now. I want to kick and throw.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Oh my god. All right, Cannison, you gotta tell me
- 52:23Speaker 1: one thing. What's the baddest and I mean the baddest
- 52:27Speaker 1: radio show in the lands Steve Harvey in the morning.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Oh my, come and sweating, yo. Sweat it out, baby,
- 52:34Speaker 1: sweat it out. This is what we do. Break it down.
- 52:38Speaker 1: You break it down. What your mom mama slept with
- 52:50Speaker 1: the coach dog. You assaulted that sister. She was done. Yeah,
- 52:57Speaker 1: because you say anything here, you say any of this

- 53:58Speaker 1: never know, it could be yours. You never know. Buckle
- 54:02Speaker 1: up and hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 54:04Speaker 1: It is a Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew, subject he
- 54:07Speaker 1: doesn't cover all the basses. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm in
- 54:11Speaker 1: my late forties and I'm raising three children on my own.
- 54:15Speaker 1: I've had my fair share of dating horrors, and I
- 54:18Speaker 1: would love to be married, but the dating pool has
- 54:21Speaker 1: p in it. So I've decided to like the man
- 54:25Speaker 1: that likes me. But I'm also doing whatever I need
- 54:28Speaker 1: to do on the side to be sexually satisfied. My
- 54:32Speaker 1: boyfriend is a decent lover, but he doesn't cover all
- 54:35Speaker 1: the bases. He doesn't even start at first base. He
- 54:38Speaker 1: goes straight for the home run every time. I like
- 54:42Speaker 1: the ball being hit out the park, but I mean
- 54:44Speaker 1: I need those bases covered too, if you know what
- 54:47Speaker 1: I mean. He thinks he's my everything, and I let
- 54:51Speaker 1: him believe that so I don't lose him. I make
- 54:54Speaker 1: so much noise that you would think we're at the
- 54:56Speaker 1: World Series. Then once he leaves, II have company, or
- 55:01Speaker 1: I go visit one of my other men that know
- 55:04Speaker 1: how to please me. I just wish they could do
- 55:07Speaker 1: other things, like hold a conversation or take me out
- 55:10Speaker 1: to dinner. Occasionally, they don't even call me regularly, so
- 55:13Speaker 1: there's no way I could ever get caught up thinking
- 55:16Speaker 1: they want a relationship with me. Before you think I'm
- 55:19Speaker 1: a garden tool, there are two other men. There are
- 55:23Speaker 1: only two other men that I deal with. My main
- 55:25Speaker 1: boyfriend seems to love me, but he's never told me,
- 55:29Speaker 1: and the other two guys are only there to service
- 55:31Speaker 1: my needs. I'm just one of those people that need
- 55:34Speaker 1: to be pleased sexually or it ruins my mood and
- 55:38Speaker 1: I can't even function at work. My children get a
- 55:42Speaker 1: happier mom and better meals when I'm in a good mood.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Here's my dilemma. It was hard to find a decent
- 55:48Speaker 1: man to accept me with three children. So would I
- 55:51Speaker 1: be wrong to ask him to step up his game
- 55:53Speaker 1: in the bedroom. I don't want to run him off?
- 55:56Speaker 1: So how do I address the sex issue? Okay, first
- 56:01Speaker 1: of all, you know what, I don't want you to
- 56:04Speaker 1: think you're a garden tool. I just don't. You're a
- 56:06Speaker 1: strong woman. I'm gonna say this, You're a strong woman
- 56:08Speaker 1: who knows what she wants. You do need to cool
- 56:11Speaker 1: off sexually, cool down a bit so you can focus
- 56:14Speaker 1: on what you have. You need to learn how to
- 56:16Speaker 1: get what you want from this one man. If this
- 56:19Speaker 1: is who you want, concentrate on him, and yes, it
- 56:23Speaker 1: is okay to let him know what you like. It's okay.
- 56:27Speaker 1: You could do it nicely. There's a way to do
- 56:29Speaker 1: it where you won't hurt or damage, you know, his
- 56:33Speaker 1: very fragile ego in the process. I think letting him
- 56:37Speaker 1: know what you want, there's no room for fear. You
- 56:40Speaker 1: can't be afraid he's gonna leave you. You're just standing
- 56:43Speaker 1: up for yourself. I mean, if he runs off, he
- 56:45Speaker 1: runs off. He wasn't the one. Just look at it
- 56:48Speaker 1: that way. He wasn't the one. You know. I always say,
- 56:51Speaker 1: no risk, no rewards, So you gotta take that chance.
- 56:54Speaker 1: You gotta tell him what you want from him, teach
- 56:57Speaker 1: him what you like. But I do say now, while
- 57:02Speaker 1: you're teaching him, while you're in this teaching mode, you
- 57:05Speaker 1: gotta leave these other two guys alone so you won't
- 57:08Speaker 1: be distracted. You won't get caught. Your man might strike
- 57:12Speaker 1: out a few times. To use your baseball analogy, he might.
- 57:16Speaker 1: You know, he thinks you're he's your mister everything, but
- 57:19Speaker 1: he might strike out. So with practice, you know, you
- 57:22Speaker 1: guys gotta practice. Now he can go from baseball analogy,
- 57:26Speaker 1: spring training all the way to the All Star Game
- 57:29Speaker 1: and then to the World Series for real. Okay, you
- 57:32Speaker 1: don't want to then you won't want to need these
- 57:35Speaker 1: pinch hitters, these other two guys. So I don't think
- 57:38Speaker 1: three kids. Three kids are not you don't have to settle.
- 57:42Speaker 1: A good man who loves you will take the total
- 57:44Speaker 1: package build from there. But a good man who takes
- 57:47Speaker 1: you as you are will not allow you to play them.
- 57:50Speaker 1: So I gotta tell you again, get rid of these
- 57:52Speaker 1: other guys and give your relationship a chance. Give it
- 57:55Speaker 1: a chance. Steve. Wow, lady's so much wrong in this letter. Now.
- 58:03Speaker 1: I could take a humorous approach about this, but you're
- 58:07Speaker 1: in trouble. So I'm gonna be Uncle Steve on this letter.
- 58:12Speaker 1: First of all, Lady, this whole way you're operating, it's
- 58:18Speaker 1: just foul. It's foul. See. I've had my fair share
- 58:24Speaker 1: of dating horrors. I would love to be married, but
- 58:27Speaker 1: the dating pool has p in it. Okay, that's okay,
- 58:31Speaker 1: that's fairy. It's hard out there, I'll admit that. So
- 58:35Speaker 1: I've decided to like the man that likes me. But
- 58:39Speaker 1: I'm also doing whatever I need to do on the side.
- 58:43Speaker 1: This right here is a bad concept. This concept is bad.
- 58:49Speaker 1: This is a not a win win for a man
- 58:52Speaker 1: or woman, but it's especially not good for a woman.
- 58:56Speaker 1: But then you came up with this incredible base ball analogy.
- 59:02Speaker 1: My barfriend is a decent lover, but he doesn't cover
- 59:05Speaker 1: all the bases. He doesn't even start it first base.
- 59:07Speaker 1: He goes straight for the home run every time. I
- 59:11Speaker 1: like the ball being hit out the park, but I
- 59:13Speaker 1: need those bases covered, if you know what I mean. Well,
- 59:17Speaker 1: that's great, lady, great, great, great, great greade, But you
- 59:22Speaker 1: have a problem here. You're treating this whole thing as
- 59:26Speaker 1: if it were a game. Once you get into the
- 59:29Speaker 1: game aspect of the relationship, you're dealing with people who
- 59:32Speaker 1: are experts at the game. And that is men. We
- 59:38Speaker 1: are experts at the game. Now women are not experts
- 59:43Speaker 1: at it. You can play it, but when you play
- 59:46Speaker 1: the game, ladies, it almost always never works out for you.
- 59:51Speaker 1: And I'm sorry because you are not designed or created
- 59:57Speaker 1: to be a baseball analogy. He thinks he's my everything,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: and I let him believe so that I don't lose him.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I make so much noise you would think we were
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: at the World Series. Okay, Shirley's exactly right. Why are
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you doing that? Hang on? Hang on? You ain'tybody taking
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: you to dinner, They're taking you to bed. We'll get
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter. Subject he doesn't
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: cover all the basis. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is he doesn't
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: cover all of the basis. I understand what the lady's saying.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: But Lady, the problem we have in this entire letter
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: is you're operating under a bad concept. You've decided to
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: like the man that likes you, but I'm also doing
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: whatever I need to do on the side to be
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: sexually satisfied. Na, your boyfriend's a decent level, but he
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: don't cover all thes he don't like. He started like
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: a first base, he goes straight for the home run
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: every time. I like ball being hit out of Parker,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: but I need those bases covered. If you know what
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: I mean, Lady, you're using a baseball analogy, and which
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: means you're operating your life and your relationship as a game.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: And once you get into the game, like I said before,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: you're dealing with men who are experts. See, we've been
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: playing this game baseball, football, basketball since we was boys.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: We grew up playing this. Most women don't. And when
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: you get into this game, ladies, you're not equipped or
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: built really to play this type of sport with your
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: body and your relationship. You're just not design that way.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry, And if you want to play it that way,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: it's not gonna work out for you. So now let
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: me teach you a little something. He thinks he's my everything,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: and I believe I let him believe. That's so I
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: don't lose him. I make so much noise, you would
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: think we're at the World Series. Well, what you're doing
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: not for Shirley told you. What you need to do
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: is work with this man and get him to become more.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: But no, no, no, no no. Once he leaves, I
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: either have company or I go visit one of my
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: other men that know how to please me. I just
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: wish they could do other things like hold a conversation
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: and take me out to dinner. Occasion. Why what we
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: got to take you out to dinner? For you asked
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: us to come over here. You come over there so
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: we could do you. We're doing you. We ain't got
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: to buy you dinner. We're not fit to take you
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: know where. We're gonna take you to the rack. And
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: that's its sister. Now, they don't even call me regularly?
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Why you call them what we gotta call you, reglar?
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: For you ain't gonna be special to them because you
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: ain't special to yourself. So there's no way kind. I
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: could never get caught up thinking they want a relationship
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: with me. Now, before you think I'm a garden tool,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: there are only two other men that I deal with. Lady,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: you already at your max number. You're dealing with your
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: boyfriend and two other men. You at your max number
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: you maxed out. I don't know. You don't want us
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to call you a garden too. Got to stop acting
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: like one. I don't know how you think this fitting
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: in that don't it might defend to go along with this.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Now you wrote in Uncle Steve, and I could be
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: funny this whole letter, trust me, But I'm gonna help
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: you because you got to stop this because this is
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: just a loop you in and you can't get out
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: of it now. My main boy friend seems to love me,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: but he's never told me that because the other two
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: guys are only there to service my needs. He feels
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: that some kind of way. He may not know exactly
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: what's going on. But men ain't as stupid as you think. Nan,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: you say, I'm just one of those people that need
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: to be pleased sexually. Listen to this or it ruins
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: my mood and I can't even function at work. And
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: my children get a happier mom and better meals when
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I'm in a good mood. So let me ask yourself. So,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: when you ain't getting sexed, you can't go to work,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: your ass is grumpy, and you can't cook. Lord her
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Mercy can't. I can't, Lord her Mercy. Here's my dilemma. No,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: we already know what your dilemma is. You got to
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: get sexed or you can't function. That's the dilemma. Here's
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: my dilemma. It's hard to find a decent man to
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: accept me with three children. Stop right there. You going
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: at this with the wrong energy. Your transmitter is off.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: The signal that you're emitting from your brain, your body,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: and your mind, that remote control that you're operating sends back.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: What you send out is what you get back. So
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: the reason it's hard to find a man that will
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: accept you with three children is because you don't require
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: that they accept you and the three children. You go
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: over and require that they service you after your boyfriend
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: has inadequately, inadequately performed. So now you're getting exactly what
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: you put out. Would I be wrong to ask him
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: to step up his game in the bedroom, Shirley said
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: it best. That's your only option. Ask him, show him,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: teach him. I don't want to run him off. So
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: how do I address the sex issue? You wrote this letter.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: You wrote a letter that addressed it all, but you
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: can't sit down and have a conversation. So now, since
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: you like baseball analogies, let's go. What position on the
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: field do you play? You ain't the picture, You ain't
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: throwing him. You know what you are? You the catcher.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: You behind the plate catching balls. That's all you doing.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: You're in a squat position, which your legs open, catching balls.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: That's what the catcher do on the baseball field. You're
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: in a squat position with a mask on, and you
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: catch balls. All right, let's leave it there. Let's leave
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: it there. If I were you, I would stop playing
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: catching and get a better position on the field. I
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: would be the manager and the picture right now, you
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: ain't none but a catching and all you catching is bawls.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Poster comments on today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook. Check out a Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: on demand as well. Now coming up at forty six
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, sports Talk with Junior. Right after this,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: you're listening to the Stry Morning Show. It is time
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: now for Junior and sports Talk. Junior. What you got today?
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: All right, Shirley, let's get ready for it today, Man,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Tiger Woods is teeing up for the British Open. Uh
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: you should have checked. Yeah, Tiger's playing and in the
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: British Open. Man, he will be honor too. Man. Today
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: they gonna make him a member of Saint Andrew's out
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: in the UK. So congratulations the Tiger. Sixty to one
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: odds for Tiger to win this tournament, I don't know, man,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna probably put five outs down on him. See
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: what I could get for. Yeah, it's worth a shot
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: at him. You never know, man, He's won the other
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: fol So let's see might maybe it might come home.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: So that's that's that's I'm really proud Tiger for that man.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Welcome back, Tiger, get on out there and get it
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: man now in the NBA uh Lebron James has now
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: chimed in on Brittany Grinner. He said on the on
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the his Shoulder shop, how could she feel like America
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: has her back? I would be feeling like, do I
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: want to return back to America now? He said his
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: comments He said, on my comments on the shop regarding
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Britnan Grinner, wasn't knocking our beautiful country. I was simply
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: saying how she's probably feeling emotionally, along with so many
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: other emotions thoughts, et cetera. Inside that cage she's been
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: in for over one hundred plus days. Long story short,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: bring her home, That's what he's saying, right, and you
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: know when Rod James get behind the band, well, look,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: America has a lot of issues. We understand that I
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: come here before I sit in that cage in Russia.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: So I'm gonna come home people. I love her here
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: and everything. I got a lot of problems with America myself.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: But this is also the country that I was born in,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: and I I keep expecting without results oftentimes for this country,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: to which they're not get it right now. They're going
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: in the wrong direction right now. But first of all,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: let me get out of Russia, out of this prison,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: and I come back over here to America and deal
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: with that. And we do have a lot of issues.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: And Lebron is right, you know, he's not dog in
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: the country. But the moment you say something like that,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: here comes them so called patriots, and these so called patriots,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: our patriots for who and to who? Yeah, you know,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: so I understand fully what Lebron is saying. You know,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: we need to bring this girl home. I think they
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: got in a position now to get her home some
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: kind of way. Let's keep praying about it and get
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: it because it's really out of our hands. Hey, y'all,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: listen to me. When you get into foreign policy. We've
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: never been allowed to vote on foreign policy ever. We
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: don't know what our foreign policy is. They are controlled
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: by the people up top, and we have some bad
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: foreign policy going on around the world. And that's why
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: when people get a chance to jank one of us,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: they take it. They do it every time. They do
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: it every single time. Man. We're praying for you, Brittany.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: We want you home. Bring now, bring Brittany home. That's all.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Pay intention what y'all packing any damn bags or I'm
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: gonna tell you that right now. That's right, that's right,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: all right, thank you, Junior. We'll have more of the
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show come up right after this. You're listening,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: all right. So this summer heatwave really hot. We've been sweating.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: We know how hot it is. And you know, think
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: about kids today. They don't really know how to play
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: the games that we used to play back in the
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: day during summer. So guys want to ask you this question.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: Can you, guys reminisce and tell us about some of
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: the games you played outside. I know you have some stories, Steve,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: give us some suggestions about what the kids can do
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: to stay cool this summer. Get your daddy's oh pipe wrench,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: go down in, take that take that novel off that
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: fire hydrant, and get all the day and water. You
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: won't all turn the sprinkle on in the front yard
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: and just run your head back and forth through yah ah.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Let your mama take that novel off that fire holes
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: and put her thumb on it and spray ass. Act
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: like y'all don't remember that. Man, Please, I'm gonna tell
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: you something I did one time. Man, we played hide
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: and go seek. One time I hid under Miss Paine's porch.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I damned that fainted under there was so damn hotbody.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Nobody never found you. Man, anybody found me and I
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: forgot we was playing. I was damn man, damn lost
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: consciousness under that hot ass porch. Yeah. Man, I crawled
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: out and they found me. I was just trying to
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: crawl getting my head out in that damn driveway. Get
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: some al man. I love him. Man, you is the
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: all right man, because you know what Amen were playing
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: high and gone. I had heard so good under that porch.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: You know how they go Ali Ali and free. I didn't.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: I couldn't even must up the stripth to crawl. I'm
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: under the damn porch. I was into the porch going
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: help me. Yeah, other kids, kids tell you what, man,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: It was fun though we was growing up, we have
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: to go outside. Going outside was fun. We wouldn't play
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: like it was a job. You said nine that morning,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: you couldn't come back in there till five. That's right,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: street I had to eat two bowls of cereal for
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: I went outside coming back to lunch. We fit to
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: go out here and play the hard ass games tag.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: I'm playing tag with socking them and they asked, was
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: fast touch on the concrete tackle of the grass? That's it?
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Sideline sticks man, all of that. Go down there and
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: go fence hopping started down at the end of the
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: street and just hop fences. Who have them get to
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: the top of the block first win? But you had
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: to go pass cane seeking chained the German shepherd. Did
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you ever win when you hop the fences? Oh? Hell yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: my listkin ass? Could I could? God, man, I could
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: climb plus house from the country. You know. That's all
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: I did, was climb on stuff so I could win.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: You got called one of them because I damn I
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: ain't got shirts called up really shirt he shirt boys
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: were so rough rough get your shirts. My whole ass
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: hung up on top of that. I mean just hanging
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: on it. Bleed, you know, because you don't know you
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: got your belt loop caught on that thing. You didn't
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: tell your jeans and don't board them lee jeans. Man.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: I was just dangling from the fence. My brother had
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: to come get me down. Oh did you all play sports? Yeah,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: that's all it, kickball, baseball, dodgeball, What about dodge ball? Yeah,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I'm scared of lard. Throw that ball so damn hard
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: out you know what we called? No, we did. We
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: had found a set of golf club We didn't know
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: that bat golf in the hood. Eric Whill dug a
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: hole across an abandoned house. That was the whole. Everybody
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: had a club. I'm over it trying to get this
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: ball across the street with a pus. We ain't know
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: nothing back golf time till I was exhausted, right right,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: all right, thanks guys. We'll have more of the Steve
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up in about twenty minutes after
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening to show, all right,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: and tell me something good news. Guess what NB A
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: legend and sports commentator or junior we're talking about, Charles
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Barkley donated a million dollars to Spellman College in Atlanta
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: for the sixth time since twenty sixteen, Sir Charles has
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: made a considerable donation to an HBCU. Thank you, Charles
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: for being generous. Well, I can't even spare spam. But
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna giving them me covid haad and me and
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: I gave me check, ain't gaining. Then I'm giving them
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: me the spam. I can't spare spam. Thank you, thank you,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: thank you, Sir Charles. The gift. I have no idea
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: what you just said, Sir Charles. The gift came as
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: a surprise to the Spellman community, since Sir Charles publicly
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: announced the donation before informing the school, but Spellman's new president,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Helene Gale, says the gift comes at a significant time
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: for the school and will help them build upon a
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: legacy of developing the next generation of leaders. Charles is
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: donated to Clark University so far in Atlanta, Clark Atlanta,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Morehouse College, Alabama, A and M. Miles College, and Tuskegee University. So, Charles,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: thank you for so generous. Yea, so generous? All right,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour. You
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: know what the deal is, We're gonna play a round
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: it would you rather? Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: the Stave Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, time for
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: would you rather? Would you rather owe someone money or
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: would you rather owe them a favor? Favor? Yeah, I favor,

- 1:19:57Speaker 1: and for a last break of the day right after this.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, guys. Here we are our last
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: break of the day. Uh. And it's been a good Thursday.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: It's been a good day. Hey, tomorrow morning. Special guests. Lizzle, Yeah,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: first time, first time. I can't wait to talk to her. Yeah,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: she's funny, Eastern Lizz check Liz all right, Steve, time
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: for you. You got your clothing, Yeah, you know, my
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: clothing is kind of simple. I wanted to talk to
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: people about prayer. You know, um, I oftentimes say, you
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: know how valuable prayer is. I was telling the audience
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: before I left family feud last night. One of my
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: favorite things I've always said is don't forget to pray,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: don't be ashamed to pray, and don't be too proud
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: to pray, because prayer changes things and prayer changes people too.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Prayer has been my most valuable asset in my life.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: There has been nothing that has been more valuable to
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: me during my lifetime than prayer. And you know why,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: because I recognize something in prayer that I've heard people say.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: But I really started understanding what prayer is. Prayer is
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: a weapon. Prayer is a weapon, and now I want
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: you to understand why I'm calling it that. Because prayer
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: can be used as a protection device, as a survival device,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: as an anti confusing device, as a solution device. It
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: is a weapon, and this is a weapon to be
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: used for good. I don't use weapon to pray against
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: my enemies. I don't use our weapon as a prayer
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: as a weapon to bring about any ill will to anybody.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: That's not how prayer works. As a matter of fact,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: you can't use prayer for ill will because prayer is
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: a weapon of goodness. Use your prayer as a weapon.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I'll tell you what I mean. When haters come to
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: attack me, what prayer is my greatest weapon. I ask
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: God for protection, to give me the strength, the wisdom
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: and understanding to deal with whatever besets me. So when
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: haters come, I don't have to go after the hater.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: I simply have to apply prayer to the situation that
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: the haters bring it to me. Prayer protect Prayer tucks
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: me under the ever loving wings of Christ. It puts
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: me in a position that allows God to tuck me
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: under his wings and cover me. Prayer helps me against hostility.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: Prayer helps me against anxiety. When I'm anxious, when I
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: don't know what to do, when I'm in a state
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: of confusion, Prayer provides peace. It settles me down, It
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: calms me down. It causes me to not to have
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: to try to figure it out. You know, you heard
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: old people say, if you're gonna pray about it, don't
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: worry about it. And if you're gonna worry about it,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: then don't pray about it. You've heard that, man, I
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: use prayer to hold down confusion. I don't have to
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: be confused. I'm telling you right now. When I'm confused
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: about something, I pray about it, and it calms me
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: down because it removes it. Anxiety of the unknown. What
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: causes a lot of people anxieties because you are constantly
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: dealing with the unknown. Why are you worrying about the unknown?
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: It's unknown. You don't even know where to direct the worry,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: worrying about something? Worrying about the unknown? Do you know
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: how crazy that is? Do you know how much anxiety
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: you put in yourself when you are concerned about the unknown?
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Wonder what they're gonna do when I get down there.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Wonder what they're saying about me when I ain't around.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: What you're tripping on that fall? You don't even know
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: what they're saying. You don't even know what the situation
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: you're gonna be when you go down there. And here's
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: a remove yourself. Sometimes you can help yourself by removing yourself. Man,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: if I go down there, they're gonna be tripping. How
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: about this? How about you don't go down there. See
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: what is it about going over there that's gonna fix
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: it anyway? Whenever and whenever I'm in doubt, I get out.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: If I think somebody means me ill, will I stay
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: away from them. I ain't got to go down there
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: and deal with them. You know what, man, when people
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: talking about me, what they think about me, I'm so
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: disconcerned about what you think about me, the sixty five
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: year old me. I wish that was me at twenty five, because, man,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: how often y'all have had to tell myself, why are
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: you worried about what they saying about you? When what
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: they say about you don't even matter. I stopped giving
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: people control. I gave my control to God, my creator.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: I pray for peace of mind. I pray for joy,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: I pray for wisdom, I pray for understanding. That's why
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: I call it a weapon, because prayer allows no weapon
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: formed against me till prosper. I'm Isaiah fifty four seventeen.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: All day long, Say what you want to say, write
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: what you want to right, and thank what you want
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: to think. When you get through with your little weapon
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: that you're forming against me, I'm gonna put some prayer
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: on you and you ain't gonna be able to do
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: nothing to me. God don't allow. But then when things
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: do beset me, that's ill. Will I sit still? Because
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: I know there's a lesson in it. There's a lesson
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: in everything, man. But if you use weapon as your
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: prayer instead of your mouth and your actions, you'll go
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: a lot longer. Man. Instead of going down there and
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: telling them what you think, why don't you try prayer?
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: Prayer changes things. Don't be afraid to pray, don't be
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: ashamed to pray, and don't be too proud to pray,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: because prayer changes things when you can't. Those are my
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: closing remarks today. I hope you got somebody of it.
