- 1:44Speaker 1: turn the mouth, turn out the water the mon.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Look me.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come out. You'll think that.
- 2:01Speaker 7: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:06Speaker 7: to the voice, Come on dig me now. One and
- 2:09Speaker 7: only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 2:14Speaker 7: Took me when I said, but I do, like I
- 2:17Speaker 7: say always. It just is a constant reminder of how
- 2:20Speaker 7: good God has been. So my question to you is
- 2:24Speaker 7: what's stopping you from having the life that you want?
- 2:28Speaker 7: What's stopping you from having the life that you want?
- 2:33Speaker 7: I know a lot of people who have given up
- 2:37Speaker 7: on achieving the life of their dreams. But I know
- 2:42Speaker 7: they'd still want them if they could get to them.
- 2:44Speaker 7: But they just allowed to settle for so many reasons.
- 2:49Speaker 7: So who I'm talking to is you today? What's really
- 2:54Speaker 7: at the core of stopping you?
- 2:56Speaker 2: What is that? Is it your friends or your soul?
- 3:00Speaker 7: Is it the fear of what you think somebody else
- 3:03Speaker 7: will think of you if you decide to change.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Is it what I used to call the call of
- 3:09Speaker 2: the wile?
- 3:10Speaker 7: Is it the fact that you keep thinking that the
- 3:13Speaker 7: thing that you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments
- 3:17Speaker 7: of pleasure that really ain't really good or healthy for you,
- 3:22Speaker 7: you don't want to stop doing that because you've got
- 3:24Speaker 7: just a little bit more something else you want to do.
- 3:26Speaker 7: I call that the call of the while. You know
- 3:29Speaker 7: it's just out there. Them streets is calling you, Them
- 3:31Speaker 7: lights is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.
- 3:34Speaker 7: Them guys that's on the wrong side keep calling you.
- 3:38Speaker 7: You can't seem to make a decision by the right guy.
- 3:40Speaker 7: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What
- 3:44Speaker 7: is it that's stopping you from having the life that
- 3:46Speaker 7: you really want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing,
- 3:51Speaker 7: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life
- 3:54Speaker 7: that you want to have. It's no good because at
- 3:57Speaker 7: the end of the day, here's the real See, God
- 4:01Speaker 7: is available, and God is available for all of us,
- 4:05Speaker 7: and God has a plan for all of us, and
- 4:07Speaker 7: God wants the very best for all of us. That's
- 4:10Speaker 7: the truth of the matter. So now what we're gonna
- 4:13Speaker 7: do to get started having that life? First of all,
- 4:17Speaker 7: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something.
- 4:20Speaker 7: Your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends
- 4:23Speaker 7: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends
- 4:26Speaker 7: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a
- 4:30Speaker 7: wide range of reasons and misery love company. So usually
- 4:34Speaker 7: when your friends are in a bad position, they kind
- 4:37Speaker 7: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't
- 4:41Speaker 7: going to church. You're gonna be their friend. They don't
- 4:43Speaker 7: really want you to go to church. You know your
- 4:46Speaker 7: friends don't pray, so why would they offer up prayer
- 4:50Speaker 7: as a solution to you. You know, your friends don't
- 4:54Speaker 7: really really get the fact that if you treat people better,
- 4:58Speaker 7: people would treat you better or soul?
- 5:01Speaker 2: What's that?
- 5:02Speaker 7: So your friends are a lot of times the reasons,
- 5:05Speaker 7: you know, to peer pressure of what and then the
- 5:08Speaker 7: thought in your mind of what they gonna think once
- 5:11Speaker 7: they find out I don't do what they do anymore.
- 5:13Speaker 7: Who cares what they think other than you? I mean, really,
- 5:18Speaker 7: you can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you
- 5:22Speaker 7: from having the best life you wanted to have. If
- 5:25Speaker 7: I went by that theory right there. I wouldn't I
- 5:28Speaker 7: wouldn't even be on this mic this morning. I would
- 5:30Speaker 7: have never become a stand up I would had I
- 5:33Speaker 7: listened to the people around me who clearly told me
- 5:37Speaker 7: when I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't
- 5:40Speaker 7: you quit your job? You got a family, Boy, don't
- 5:42Speaker 7: you do this. You ain't got no bit that, ain't
- 5:45Speaker 7: no security in that. Get yourself a job. Go down here,
- 5:49Speaker 7: and what's your brothers? Go to work over here? Go
- 5:51Speaker 7: to I heard all of that. I didn't let that
- 5:54Speaker 7: stop me from pursuing this. Why would you allow that
- 5:57Speaker 7: to stop you from pursuing your real life relationship with
- 6:00Speaker 7: God so you can have the best life you could
- 6:02Speaker 7: possibly have.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You gang bang.
- 6:05Speaker 7: Because they've convinced you that this is the family situation
- 6:09Speaker 7: and love that you don't have, and they've convinced you
- 6:12Speaker 7: that this is your only way, your only source of
- 6:15Speaker 7: getting over, And then you drum up these ignorant reasons
- 6:20Speaker 7: mans for staying with it. But they sound so good
- 6:24Speaker 7: when you listening to everybody else you surrounded by telling
- 6:27Speaker 7: you why we gang banging, why we holding this block down?
- 6:31Speaker 2: Why we slanging this thing here? Right here. Why we
- 6:34Speaker 2: letting it go like this here?
- 6:36Speaker 7: You keep listening to them when all in your heart
- 6:39Speaker 7: of hearts you know it's ain't right. You already know,
- 6:43Speaker 7: but you allow that form of the call of the wile,
- 6:47Speaker 7: that wanting to be accepted by a group of people
- 6:50Speaker 7: who trying to get you to accept the way, so
- 6:53Speaker 7: you con further they progress to even prove that you're
- 6:56Speaker 7: worthy to be around them, You got to commit some
- 6:59Speaker 7: type of crime to even prove that you're worthy to
- 7:02Speaker 7: be around them. Then when you get busted on the crime,
- 7:05Speaker 7: what happens to that? Where your family are Now they
- 7:08Speaker 7: don't come down there to see you because guess what,
- 7:11Speaker 7: they can't turn in They idea to desk at a
- 7:13Speaker 7: law enforcement center, So now your homies can't come visit you.
- 7:17Speaker 7: And then you know your family back out here, they
- 7:19Speaker 7: ain't taking care of your family because it's all about them.
- 7:23Speaker 7: Then you learn that what is it that's stopping you
- 7:25Speaker 7: from having the life that you always wanted to have?
- 7:29Speaker 7: What is it? Why are you a repeat offender? Why
- 7:33Speaker 7: do you keep checking yourself back into that institution?
- 7:38Speaker 1: Why?
- 7:38Speaker 7: Man, why won't you get it together? Why won't you
- 7:41Speaker 7: give God a try?
- 7:43Speaker 8: Why?
- 7:43Speaker 2: Won't you disassociate yourself.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Why would you continue to be a part of a
- 7:48Speaker 7: revolving door system and becoming a farm system for these
- 7:51Speaker 7: institutions that ain't got nothing for you? But you keep
- 7:55Speaker 7: going back in there. And then every time you go
- 7:57Speaker 7: in there, and now your little homies or your gang
- 7:59Speaker 7: banging looks, little silly little friends try to make you
- 8:02Speaker 7: think that's a badge of honor. There ain't no badge
- 8:05Speaker 7: of honor. Man, that's one mold. What's one more scratch
- 8:08Speaker 7: on that record? That's one mold. That's one more nail
- 8:11Speaker 7: in that coffin. That's one step closer to that third
- 8:14Speaker 7: strike where you ain't gonna ever get out. It's one
- 8:17Speaker 7: step closer to that graveyard.
- 8:19Speaker 2: You keep on. Why would you not give God a try?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Why would you not go and see what your life
- 8:25Speaker 2: could really be? What is it that's stopping you? Because see,
- 8:29Speaker 2: I got news for you. That's nothing like waking up free.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I don't care who you are. There's nothing like waking
- 8:37Speaker 2: up with the joy in your heart. Now, if you
- 8:40Speaker 2: ain't gonna be free, get the joy in your heart.
- 8:43Speaker 7: The satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something with your life,
- 8:47Speaker 7: help somebody behind them, balls, get in the program, show
- 8:50Speaker 7: these young cats when they come in a better way.
- 8:52Speaker 7: But don't you dash sit damn man and just ride
- 8:56Speaker 7: it out. And man, just go and get the fullest
- 9:00Speaker 7: life that you can have. What you know what it
- 9:03Speaker 7: feels like to wake up and be on your way somewhere,
- 9:06Speaker 7: knowing that you have something to accomplish, that you can
- 9:09Speaker 7: change somebody, that you can stop somebody from going down
- 9:11Speaker 7: the roads you went down. It's a whole lot of
- 9:14Speaker 7: ways to make your life better. But why would you
- 9:16Speaker 7: not go and have the best life you can have?
- 9:18Speaker 7: What is that's stopping you?
- 9:21Speaker 8: Really?
- 9:22Speaker 2: Really?
- 9:23Speaker 7: So you think that Satan really has your best interest
- 9:26Speaker 7: at heart, That the little thing your mama kept telling
- 9:29Speaker 7: you about praying you wasn't listening, was you. But you know,
- 9:32Speaker 7: it ain't ever too late to get back to that.
- 9:35Speaker 7: It ain't ever too late to turn around, It ain't
- 9:37Speaker 7: ever too late to get your life together, it ain't
- 9:40Speaker 7: ever too late to seek God, and it ain't ever.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Too late to pray.
- 9:45Speaker 9: Don't forget to pray, don't be ashamed to pray, and
- 9:48Speaker 9: don't be too proud to pray, because prayer changes things.
- 9:52Speaker 9: Prayer change people too. I'm a witness to that.
- 9:56Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:04Speaker 7: It's a new day, a new opportunity to another blessing,
- 10:08Speaker 7: another moment of grace. Man, just say this one time, y'all.
- 10:13Speaker 7: God is good man, He really is. I don't care
- 10:20Speaker 7: how you shake it, how you shape it, how you
- 10:23Speaker 7: look at it, what view you got.
- 10:26Speaker 2: When it comes down to it, God is good man.
- 10:31Speaker 2: That's just a fact.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Y'all.
- 10:33Speaker 7: Have a good one today. Man, Think positive. Watch every
- 10:37Speaker 7: word that comes out your mouth. Be very, very conscious
- 10:41Speaker 7: of that. Stop saying I'm tired, Stop saying I just
- 10:46Speaker 7: feel beat up. Stop saying I'm always sick. Stop that.
- 10:51Speaker 7: Breathe and speak positivity in your life. Man, God, thank
- 10:56Speaker 7: you for blessing my health. Thank you for all all
- 11:00Speaker 7: the things you've done for me. I'm one of your favorites.
- 11:05Speaker 7: I expect some good things to happen today, and whatever happens,
- 11:09Speaker 7: I know You're gonna give me the strength and the
- 11:10Speaker 7: wisdom to deal with it. That's how you approach today.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi,
- 11:17Speaker 7: Monica Junior what's on your mind today?

- 12:00Speaker 7: had a job.
- 12:02Speaker 1: See how long.
- 12:03Speaker 7: They gonna pay you for not showing up. Greatness requires
- 12:07Speaker 7: you to show up on a daily basis, even on
- 12:11Speaker 7: the days when it ain't going well. Which are the

- 12:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 7: All of my great moments showed up in my darkest hours,
- 12:34Speaker 7: you know. Man Like people often think that the best
- 12:37Speaker 7: version of themselves is when you see them doing well. No,
- 12:41Speaker 7: the best version of me is when it ain't going
- 12:44Speaker 7: good at all. Then you see the best version of me.
- 12:50Speaker 7: The true measure of a man cannot be judged in
- 12:52Speaker 7: moments of comfort and convenience, but in termoil and strife.
- 12:56Speaker 7: Then and only then will you know the true measure
- 12:59Speaker 7: of a man. You quit telling me how you do
- 13:03Speaker 7: when he's going good. I got everybody, ma'am, Come on, dog.

- 15:05Speaker 8: Hold? Well we have, we haven't been in a minute,
- 15:08Speaker 8: you know. For you you you baptized my son and
- 15:10Speaker 8: my daughter. Uh kareem?
- 15:12Speaker 13: All right?
- 15:14Speaker 8: You baptized them. I don't I don't think you. I mean,
- 15:16Speaker 8: I'm sure you do a lot of people.
- 15:18Speaker 3: But yeah, I was about to say, I do a lot.
- 15:20Speaker 3: I can't really pinpoint a name like that.
- 15:22Speaker 13: He said.
- 15:22Speaker 3: It was about a couple of years.
- 15:23Speaker 8: Ago, two three years by between two and between two
- 15:27Speaker 8: and three years ago. You you about to have my
- 15:28Speaker 8: little girl and my son.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Okay, blessed on that. I'm I'm glad I was able
- 15:32Speaker 3: to do that service. I was wondering, how did you
- 15:35Speaker 3: get my number?
- 15:36Speaker 8: Uh?
- 15:37Speaker 3: Usually any things like this usually get handled with the church,
- 15:40Speaker 3: you know, one of my deacons or my secretary. But
- 15:43Speaker 3: uh uh did you call the church and they gave
- 15:47Speaker 3: you my number?
- 15:49Speaker 8: This this guy at the church, let me see, his
- 15:51Speaker 8: name is brother brother Dobbs.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Brother Brother dob gave you my phone number, my information.
- 15:56Speaker 8: So I got this from brother Dobbs that you know
- 16:00Speaker 8: him right, he's one of those deacons.
- 16:03Speaker 3: He's got a good man right there. I know the many.
- 16:06Speaker 8: Years Okay him, I roathing for one to talk to
- 16:08Speaker 8: you directly. Okay, Like I said, you baptized my little
- 16:12Speaker 8: girl Tailoring and my son Kareem. What are baptizing is
- 16:17Speaker 8: supposed to me? You cleansing them and you're watching them? Brad. Okay,
- 16:21Speaker 8: here's my problem. Here, my problem you baptized my kids,
- 16:25Speaker 8: but it ain't nothing saying they grades still bad. They
- 16:29Speaker 8: still did so beating it. I don't see where your
- 16:32Speaker 8: david now limit the day is not if if you
- 16:37Speaker 8: let me, I don't see what your baptizing has done
- 16:40Speaker 8: anything auntizing.
- 16:43Speaker 3: I don't know that I spent when I was there.
- 16:44Speaker 3: I want that money back now. Okay, now you confuse me.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I'm not sure if I think you know we need
- 16:51Speaker 3: to stop this madness right now, because you're talking about
- 16:54Speaker 3: your money back. Baptized, I'm likely with baptizing kids. I've
- 16:59Speaker 3: been at this church for many years, so I won't
- 17:02Speaker 3: doubt that I'm probably the past that you're looking for.
- 17:06Speaker 3: But I just don't understand what you're trying to get
- 17:08Speaker 3: at here about the baptism that.
- 17:11Speaker 8: I'm saying you're supposed to when when people get baptized,
- 17:14Speaker 8: it's supposed to change them cleansing.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Okay, I see, yes.
- 17:19Speaker 8: Cleans them. But well, if my kids let.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Me let me ask you. I'm just trying to brother,
- 17:25Speaker 3: I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this.
- 17:26Speaker 3: You know what I mean, because when we get stand
- 17:31Speaker 3: how you got my number, the bottom.
- 17:33Speaker 8: Of it is your your baptizing ain't doing nothing. My
- 17:38Speaker 8: kids will still graves bad, they still.
- 17:41Speaker 3: This well, yo, you're that why they haven't become to church.
- 17:44Speaker 3: You say you're not going to any congregation. Maybe you
- 17:47Speaker 3: guys need to come on back to church, sit in
- 17:49Speaker 3: or some sermons.
- 17:50Speaker 8: You know.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I even work with your one on one, but I can't.
- 17:54Speaker 3: I can't do nothing about the grades in school. I
- 17:57Speaker 3: mean and overall that.
- 17:59Speaker 8: Starts to see a change in them. And I don't
- 18:02Speaker 8: see a change. But all the players I was going
- 18:05Speaker 8: to your church, I'm paying for these tithes. Well then
- 18:07Speaker 8: I'm not getting any man at the end of the
- 18:10Speaker 8: days pass here. I want my money back. That's what
- 18:13Speaker 8: That's what we have at the well. That's brother David.
- 18:16Speaker 8: That's not how it worked.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Brothers. You understand. I'm not I'm not trying to raise
- 18:20Speaker 3: my voice at you, but you, you all over, you
- 18:22Speaker 3: all over you want money back.
- 18:24Speaker 8: I understand.
- 18:25Speaker 3: What can I do for you?
- 18:26Speaker 8: I can tell you now, all you what you can
- 18:27Speaker 8: do with my kids. I don't got them baptized over
- 18:30Speaker 8: there with you all that time. I'm going to your church.

- 35:23Speaker 2: Are you talking?
- 35:24Speaker 1: He's not playing with me?
- 35:26Speaker 8: All? Yes?
- 35:27Speaker 1: Is zero ghan?

- 35:52Speaker 7: doing his bidding, they should call themself trumplakins.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Yeah.

- 36:30Speaker 10: Yeah, moving forward, it'll probably be more like him, his
- 36:34Speaker 10: sort of politics.

- 56:43Speaker 5: Here.
- 56:44Speaker 6: It is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 56:46Speaker 10: Nephew's subject I know my man's hands. Here's Stephen Shirley.
- 56:51Speaker 10: I'm a thirty six year old married woman and my
- 56:53Speaker 10: husband is thirty eight. I'm pregnant with my second child,
- 56:57Speaker 10: and I'm too far along to travel, so my husband
- 57:00Speaker 10: went to his baby sister's wedding without me. He's from
- 57:03Speaker 10: Detroit and his ex wife and twelve year old son
- 57:06Speaker 10: lived there when we first met. He would go to
- 57:09Speaker 10: Detroit to visit with his son, and he would stay
- 57:11Speaker 10: at his old home.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Where his ex wife still lives.
- 57:15Speaker 10: He tried to rationalize it by saying he still pays
- 57:17Speaker 10: for the house, so he's not going to go to
- 57:20Speaker 10: Detroit and pay for a hotel room. After I broke
- 57:23Speaker 10: up with him for doing it, he started either staying
- 57:25Speaker 10: in a hotel or he would stay with his cousin.
- 57:28Speaker 10: Going back and forth to Detroit has always been an
- 57:31Speaker 10: issue with me because he gets ghost when he's there.
- 57:34Speaker 10: He tells me that it's because he puts his phone
- 57:37Speaker 10: down so he can be present and in the moment
- 57:40Speaker 10: with his son. But I think he's over there with
- 57:42Speaker 10: his ex wife playing house. When I noticed I was
- 57:45Speaker 10: nagging him about it, I stopped mentioning it. Now when
- 57:49Speaker 10: he is there, if he ignores my calls, I ignore his.
- 57:52Speaker 10: I hate playing games at this age, but I have
- 57:55Speaker 10: to get his attention somehow. So back to the topic
- 57:58Speaker 10: at hand, My husband went to Detroit for his sister's
- 58:01Speaker 10: wedding and he.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Told me that his ex wife was invited.
- 58:04Speaker 10: I cannot argue with that because she will be linked
- 58:07Speaker 10: to the family forever through their son. I saw photos
- 58:10Speaker 10: days after the wedding and his ex wife was in
- 58:13Speaker 10: a lot of pictures with the family. One picture was
- 58:16Speaker 10: taken of her back and there was a hand on
- 58:19Speaker 10: her lower back, right at her. But it was my
- 58:23Speaker 10: husband's right hand. He can deny it all he wants.
- 58:28Speaker 1: That's right.
- 58:29Speaker 10: I know my man's hands. I'm going crazy thinking he
- 58:33Speaker 10: was with his ex all weekend. Is it not his
- 58:36Speaker 10: responsibility to make me think otherwise?
- 58:40Speaker 1: No?
- 58:41Speaker 10: No, I don't think it's his responsibility to do that.
- 58:43Speaker 10: You saw what you saw. You saw your husband's hand
- 58:47Speaker 10: on her lower back. Don't leave it up to him
- 58:50Speaker 10: to try to make you think you saw something other
- 58:53Speaker 10: than what you saw. You saw it with your own
- 58:55Speaker 10: eyes and you cannot unsee it. Where there's there's fire
- 59:00Speaker 10: and his hand on her lower back, right at her butt.
- 59:03Speaker 10: As you say, means they're still very close and familiar
- 59:07Speaker 10: with each other. Kid aside, Yes, he could very well
- 59:10Speaker 10: have been with her this weekend in Detroit. Of course
- 59:13Speaker 10: he's going to deny it. I mean, what else is
- 59:15Speaker 10: he going to say? You busted him? What is he
- 59:20Speaker 10: gonna say it wasn't his hand. You definitely should know
- 59:22Speaker 10: your husband's hand, and he's not gonna tell you the truth,
- 59:26Speaker 10: no chance of that.
- 59:27Speaker 1: You already know what's up anyway. Then you say you left.
- 59:30Speaker 10: Him early on in your relationship because of his situation
- 59:33Speaker 10: with her all of this getting ghost when he's in Detroit,
- 59:37Speaker 10: putting his phone down, not answering when you called.
- 59:40Speaker 1: All that sounds very suspect to me.
- 59:42Speaker 10: Spending time with his son does not require him to
- 59:45Speaker 10: spend time with his baby mama.
- 59:47Speaker 1: To period, Steve.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Is going to be a tough one.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Yeah, wiggle out of this.
- 59:54Speaker 15: One already, to hang over. It's a loophole. This letter
- 1:00:03Speaker 15: very very large. I'm about to dive through it.
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: I uh what, men, we'll be in some situations here.
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: Whenever you meet a man or women, know that there
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: comes a history with these people. Nobody is history free.
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: Everybody has a present. Ever, excuse me, everybody has a past.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: That's how you get to the present. You need a
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: small P to become the big P past present. What's
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: the most important thing, the big P present?
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: But you'all like to bring up the past.
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: So now what we got to do is cover the past,
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: shade the past, make it appear to be something that
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: it wasn't so we can get on with the present. See,
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: I'm doing the same thing this woman did in this
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: letter because it took her a long time to get
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: down to the crux of this letter. But she thought
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: she was in court, so she was presenting her case.
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: She's thirty six, her husband thirty eight. She's pregnant with
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: her second child, so she can't travel. So your husband
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: went to his baby sister's wedding without me. Well, he
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: is his baby sister, so we don't have a problem now.
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: But this is all to set us up for her
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: side of the story. He's from Detroit. His ex wife
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: and twelve year old son lived there. He has a past.
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: They were married, they had a child, they were together.
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: Now when we first met, he'd go to Detroit to
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: visit his son, and he'd stay at his old home
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: whereas ex wife still live. He tried to rationalize it
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: by saying he still pay for the house. He ain't
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: gonna go to Detroit and pay for a hotel room.
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: Rival brother, nice things, but you know that one ain't
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: gonna last. That one ain't gonna last. Now I must
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: tell you that that type of thinking is not gonna last.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: I can't help you with this one. Dog.
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: I ain't over here. I'm going to Detroit. I'm paying
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: for this haul. I'm gonna pay for a house in
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: the hotel, Yes you will. So you broke up with
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: him for doing it. He started either staying in the
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: hotel or stay at his cousin's house. And that's the
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: way you get your way, lady. I commend you for that.
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: I'm on your side. Going back to forth. Detroit's always
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: been an issue with me because he gets ghosts when
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: he's there. You man about to hold Detroit situation anyway.
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: The man got to go see his son. We get
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: beat up all the time from not taking care of
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: our kids. Then when we go and be a quality father,
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: somebody got a problem with that part too.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Now you can't have your cake and eat it too.
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: We come back, we'll just talk about what you actually
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: gonna eat, car, okaycause they ain't gonna be.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: A cake, all right, all right, hold that thought.
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: Steve coming up a twenty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: we will recap today's strawberry letter and have more of
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: your response. The subject is I know my man's hands.
- 1:03:09Speaker 10: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:03:12Speaker 12: You're listening to Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:03:19Speaker 14: Christmas is a time for joy, and joy is most
- 1:03:22Speaker 14: powerful when it's shared.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: At the Salvation Army.
- 1:03:25Speaker 14: Your twenty five dollars monthly gift helps provide warm meals,
- 1:03:29Speaker 14: safe shelter, and Christmas hope for families right in your
- 1:03:32Speaker 14: neighborhood this season. Lift spirits, including your own. Knowing you're
- 1:03:36Speaker 14: making Christmas brighter and futures stronger. Give with joy at
- 1:03:41Speaker 14: Salvation ARMYUSA dot org, or at a red kettle near
- 1:03:45Speaker 14: you that Salvation Army USA dot org.
- 1:03:48Speaker 10: All Right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:51Speaker 10: The subject is I know my man's hands.
- 1:03:55Speaker 7: Well, lady, you set up this letter to get to
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: this loan. We waited ten end of this Lady, you
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: told us because you were staying your case, did you
- 1:04:05Speaker 7: thirty six thirty eight? You're having your second child. I
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: don't know if that's with him. I'm pregnant with my
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: second child and I wasn't able to travel. I'm probably
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: assuming that's y'all's two children or you had one before,
- 1:04:18Speaker 7: but this one is his for sure, doesn't matter.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: He's from Detroit.
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: His ex wife and twelve year old son live there.
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: And then when he first met y'all would go back
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: and forth to Detroit, and he would stay at his old.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: Home where his ex still lives.
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: And he tried to rationalize that he ain't paying for
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: a house at the hotel when he go to Detroit.
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: You got on him about it, and you broke up
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: with him for doing it. So he either stays at
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: a hotel or with his cousin. Now, bravo, lady, you
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: did the right thing. Put your foot down.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Stop that. It's hard for me to fix that.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: With two brothers cousins.
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: I'm not gonna be help you with this one. Right here,
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: you can't stay at the woman house, and it's to
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: give you you devil ain't gonna fly. So anyway, going
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: back and forth Detroit's always been an issue because he
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: gets ghost when he's there. An he tells me is
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: because he puts his phone down so he can be
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: present and in the moment.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: With his son.
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: Ain't God good now, Daddy, listen to me. If your
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: son twelve and he don't know that the phone gonna ring,
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: sometimes we need to turn him on to technology because
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: he at that age where y'all probably considering getting him
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: a phone. Anyway, so you put your phone down so
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: you can be present. Then you say, but I think
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: he over there with his ex wife playing house. Then
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: you said, what I noticed, I was nagging him about it.
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: I stopped mentioning it. So when he's there, he ignores
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: my call, ignore the wife's.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Calls, help him. I can't.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: I can't help you with this right here.
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: Ignore the wife's calls. Bruh, you have got to find
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: a way to answer that phone and say, baby, were
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: in the movies? Now, baby, I'm putting him to sleep.
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: But he twelve, so that ain't gonna work.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: I don't know he me the.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Reading, bedtime stor it. You got to do something.
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: But you cannot ignore her cause you gotta pick that
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: phone up and say something else, doog. You cannot ignore
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: your wife call. I can't help you with him. So
- 1:06:40Speaker 7: if he ignores my cause I ignore his, well he
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: probably saying hallelujah to that I called your baby. You
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: ain't answer. That's the release, So you stupid? You giving
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: him more free time? Now, you stupid. That's a dumb move, lady.
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: Stop doing that. Stop ignoring. He's gonna pick him up
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: and just say hello, where you being.
- 1:07:01Speaker 8: Long?
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: You ready to talk? Now?
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: I guess I guess it's convenient for me now while
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: I'm carrying your baby. Oh, it's a whole lot of
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: stuff you can say when you picked that phone up
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: to make him on a vomited. My husband went to
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: Detroit for his sister's wedding, and he told me his
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: ex wife was invited. Oh, first of all, let me
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: tell you this, she said, I hate playing games at
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: this age, but I have to get his attention somehow.
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: So back to the topic at hand. We are ninety
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: percent through with the letter before she gets to his part.
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: My husband went to Detroit for his sister's wedding. He
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: told me his ex wife was invited. I cannot argue
- 1:07:35Speaker 7: with that because she is linked to the family forever
- 1:07:37Speaker 7: through the sun.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: Okay, got that.
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: I saw photos today after the wind and his ex
- 1:07:42Speaker 7: wife was in a lot of picks with the family. Yeah,
- 1:07:45Speaker 7: she was there. You would have been in picks too,
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: but you couldn't make it because you was pregnant.
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: One picture was taken.
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: Of her back, and that was a hand on her
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: lower back, right at her butt. It was my husband's hand.
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: He can deny it all he wants. I know my
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: man's hands. I'm going crazy thinking he was with his
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: ex all weekend. It is it not his responsibility to
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: make me think otherwise. Yes, it is his responsibility. To
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: make you think otherwise, And he did just that. He said,
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: that is not my hand, you says, he can deny
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: it all he wants. I know my man's hand. That
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: is not my head. You know how many people got
- 1:08:32Speaker 7: this hand right here?
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: You just you A whole lot of people got hair.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Looked like mine.
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: Did you see my face back there on her back,
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: on her butt? Did you see my wedding ring on
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: her back? Because I always wear my wedding ring.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: Huh? Look how small that man's head. I look at
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: my hand.
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: The picture that deception pictures are never as clear as
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: to it is the size of the man's hand. That
- 1:09:09Speaker 7: what I would win this argument. And I will make
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: a referm to a case in the past. If it
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: doesn't fit, you must that is not my head.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: It is the wrong side. Oh, it looked like my hand.
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: But I put my hand up against that picture, which
- 1:09:28Speaker 7: will be way bigger, and I'll go right that. Look
- 1:09:30Speaker 7: at that, Look at the hand side. Let me take
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: my hand and put it on your lower back.
- 1:09:37Speaker 8: All right?
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Leave your comments.
- 1:09:40Speaker 7: That is not my head. Is it his responsibility to
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: make me think otherwise? Yes, and he did it.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: He doesn't know. Leave your comments. On Today's Strawberry Letter on.

- 1:11:19Speaker 7: Now, them boys right there, they different though they do
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: full body collisions. You know that's contact. I'm coach, gym,
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: you know the playoffs? How about ahead of the draft committee,
- 1:11:33Speaker 7: I'll be a scout. What I'm not finna do is
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: put this helmet on, though, and give me a number.
- 1:11:42Speaker 11: After I could be. I can make it right now
- 1:11:44Speaker 11: as a field goal kicker. After I can do that,
- 1:11:46Speaker 11: I could do.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: A No, you can't know you can't, well, I can't.
- 1:11:50Speaker 11: Well, it's a check, is what I'm thinking about.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: It's an NFL check.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: If you want to check, be the quarterback, you can't.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: I can't not to get hit. I'm not gonna do that.
- 1:12:03Speaker 13: That's why I want to do a field goal kicker.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Why do you always kill my dream? That's all I
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: want to know. You kill all of them.
- 1:12:12Speaker 11: What I can't be if a field goal kicker, I'm
- 1:12:17Speaker 11: I'm only out there if we're in the red zone.
- 1:12:18Speaker 11: That's the only time I got to go out there.
- 1:12:20Speaker 11: I ain't got the forty seven yards, That's all I
- 1:12:22Speaker 11: got to kick a forty fifty.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: I'm out. Were not kicking at fifty the field? What
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: are you now? Forty seven?
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: That's good.
- 1:12:32Speaker 7: Football is played in the winter. You can't be outside,
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: no car, It's time for you to go in. You're
- 1:12:40Speaker 7: over there on the being shaken, having a crisis.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: Your look.
- 1:12:45Speaker 11: You're trying to tell me I want to play football
- 1:12:47Speaker 11: til October.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: That's about it.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's him.
- 1:12:54Speaker 7: I don't know a lot about medical studies or nothing
- 1:12:57Speaker 7: like that, but I'm gonna go out on the limb
- 1:12:58Speaker 7: with a survey that I'm pretty are sure there have
- 1:13:01Speaker 7: been no NFL players with sickle cell now, I'm just gonna.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: It's been some Ryan Clark drying. Clark got six cel train.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: It spoke a lot of players with trade. He got
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: the trade trade. And Ryan Clarke was wool. He was mad.
- 1:13:19Speaker 11: Yeah, he was nasty man, Yeah he was Yeah.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: He put you in a crisis.
- 1:13:27Speaker 11: But why why you have to kill my dream though
- 1:13:30Speaker 11: and tell me I can't play past.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: Because you just got to dream today, Junior. So you
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: go crushing today. Jill's kill it now for take it
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: for it? Getting too dream area right now?
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: Just a thought.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: I'm not killing your dream.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: It's just a thought.
- 1:13:50Speaker 10: Keep dreamingr Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 1:13:53Speaker 10: A side chick feels really badly after she got busted
- 1:13:58Speaker 10: by her boyfriend's wife.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: We'll talk about that after this.
- 1:14:02Speaker 10: He're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:14:09Speaker 10: So this is from Cheris in Kalamazoo. Cheri says, for
- 1:14:13Speaker 10: two years, I dated a man without knowing he was married.
- 1:14:17Speaker 10: His wife is in the military and they live in
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: different states. She came home in September and I was
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: painting the kitchen, her kitchen. What I tried to surprise
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: surprise her husband slash my boyfriend after he had a
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: small fire in the kitchen. I was the one that
- 1:14:34Speaker 10: got surprised, though. His wife is crushed and I feel
- 1:14:38Speaker 10: terrible after we confronted her husband.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: He's divorcing her.
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: Is there anything I can do to help rebuild after
- 1:14:46Speaker 10: all of this mess?
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Help her rebuild after all.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: The help her rebuilding?
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, because she didn't know he was married.
- 1:14:55Speaker 7: That's so nice. You don't mess around and get killed
- 1:14:58Speaker 7: by military person. She has training, you know, I listen
- 1:15:03Speaker 7: to me, thank you for your service.
- 1:15:09Speaker 8: There.
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: Yeah, you need to just get on out of there,
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: and he's filing for divorce and all this here.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: That's a crazy But she was in here painting this
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: woman kitchen.
- 1:15:18Speaker 10: Though, Yeah, because he had a fire and she wanted
- 1:15:21Speaker 10: to surprise him.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: But she was the one that got surprised.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: She was crushed.
- 1:15:28Speaker 10: Yeah, and you didn't know, she says, she did not know.
- 1:15:33Speaker 14: She's this woman house and she couldn't.
- 1:15:37Speaker 7: You just got a roller. You're just going up the
- 1:15:38Speaker 7: wall and she walked in. You goid Hello.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: How are you.
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: Where boys? Rayfer Rapan says, at work. You know, we
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: had a fire the other day. I was cooking fries
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: the other day and the grease frire broke out and
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: we had to fire in the kitchen. So I'm just
- 1:15:56Speaker 7: in here fixing. What you mean y'all had a fire? Yes, me,
- 1:16:00Speaker 7: and you know we're in a relationship.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Who are you, ma'am?
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: I'm his wife, rafil don't have no wife. Yes, Rayford
- 1:16:09Speaker 7: does have a wife. I'm in the military and I
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: just came home and you were in here painting my kitchen.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Wait a minute, you married to Rayford? Why is his
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: name Rayford? Why you can't call him ray Why you
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: gotta say.
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: When? When you get busted. You got to call him
- 1:16:28Speaker 7: by his whole government name.
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: You can't get there.
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: They're talking about you, Ray, rape baby daddy. You can't

- 1:16:42Speaker 7: I feel bad for the lady that came home, But
- 1:16:44Speaker 7: I feel bad for this lady because she honestly didn't know.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: Yeah, she wants to help rebuild. You ain't finna do that?
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Yeah, well she's getting her husband is divorcing her.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: Though your husband is divorcing her. That's the He told

- 1:17:05Speaker 7: Hell, one more conversation with the wife, but making a
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: phone call.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: Don't go over there.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: They're training.
- 1:17:11Speaker 10: Yeah, all right, we have time for another one. This
- 1:17:14Speaker 10: is from Flow and Newcastle. Flow says, I'm a stickler
- 1:17:18Speaker 10: for clean nails and a nice smile, so I'm struggling
- 1:17:22Speaker 10: with the man I met online. We met in person,
- 1:17:25Speaker 10: and his nails were clean, but they were all different lengths.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: The front four.
- 1:17:30Speaker 10: Teeth of his mouth were white and the other ones
- 1:17:33Speaker 10: were Yellowy. I know I'm being overly critical. He's tall
- 1:17:37Speaker 10: and he has a great personality, so those are both great.
- 1:17:41Speaker 10: Can I suggest she wants to know? Can she suggest
- 1:17:45Speaker 10: that on their next date they get manicures and pedicures
- 1:17:48Speaker 10: because she wants to see his feet too, and will
- 1:17:51Speaker 10: he know if she does that what she's up.
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: To, of course, But baby, listen to me. If a
- 1:17:59Speaker 7: man having nice feet is a pre recordsit of yours,
- 1:18:04Speaker 7: you're gonna be looking for a man for a long time.
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: Now you can get them nails even out that ain't nothing.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: What about those teeths?
- 1:18:13Speaker 7: He's really nice hands, you know what make your nails
- 1:18:16Speaker 7: all the same link. He just need to know, Yeah,
- 1:18:19Speaker 7: he doesn't the teeth Okay, yeah, let him teeth now,
- 1:18:24Speaker 7: four teeth in the front that's white.

- 1:22:08Speaker 1: very stretched. That off my list.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah that that ain't what you're doing.
- 1:22:12Speaker 7: That hot tub out there in the snow, that's an
- 1:22:15Speaker 7: overrated experience because let me tell you something, the moment
- 1:22:21Speaker 7: of getting out of the hot tub into your robe,
- 1:22:27Speaker 7: all that little hot tub was no longer worth it.
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: Plus your head be cold. That's not a great experience
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: to me. I've done.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: It's fun and some wine. I want to do that.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: You can get the same steam and.

- 1:23:02Speaker 2: Game? Yeah? Game? I love wood burning?
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, like.
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: Making the fire, watching it grow, stoking it, putting logs
- 1:23:13Speaker 7: on it, making sure the ambers fall down right now
- 1:23:16Speaker 7: once it gets started.
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: It's great, but it's work though.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Yeah all right?
- 1:23:22Speaker 10: Would you rather buy your wife five fake purses for
- 1:23:26Speaker 10: five hundred dollars or one real purse for five thousand dollars?
- 1:23:32Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:23:32Speaker 11: Hey, hey for sure not. For first of all, I
- 1:23:42Speaker 11: currently work five of anything. I'm great, Julia Junior.
- 1:23:49Speaker 7: Yeah, let's just say she might not know and she
- 1:23:53Speaker 7: wear a bag somewhere, but somebody who do know.
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: Comes up to it.
- 1:24:00Speaker 7: Hell m, that's a fake you know, but it's just nice.
- 1:24:07Speaker 11: And you want to know what junr gonna say? Why
- 1:24:11Speaker 11: you listen to strangers you don't know?
- 1:24:12Speaker 8: What?
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: Quit being in full with by people? Your name? I
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: got you in person? Why is these people are fake?
- 1:24:22Speaker 8: Yes?
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: What did I give you? This is what I want
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: to know?
- 1:24:25Speaker 6: What you don't even know?
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Apparently knock offs? This is what you gave? Okay, that's
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: today's brother.

- 1:25:20Speaker 10: had a great day on this Monday. Thank you so
- 1:25:23Speaker 10: much for listening.
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: Junior.
- 1:25:25Speaker 10: Before we get out of here, before Steve's closing, you
- 1:25:28Speaker 10: have a question for him.
- 1:25:30Speaker 11: Yeah, Can I ask you? Did you did you have
- 1:25:33Speaker 11: to learn how to be rich?
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: Did you have to learn it? Did it scare you
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: two to be rich? Did I have to learn it?
- 1:25:41Speaker 8: What?
- 1:25:41Speaker 6: Junior?
- 1:25:42Speaker 7: Let me ask you a question. What you think I
- 1:25:43Speaker 7: was doing before it happened. Let me and you know
- 1:25:49Speaker 7: what I was doing before, Junr. I was mastering the
- 1:25:53Speaker 7: art of poverty. I happened to be an expert. I'm
- 1:25:58Speaker 7: actually better at not having than having because I learned.
- 1:26:03Speaker 7: I learned a lot more when I didn't have. It
- 1:26:07Speaker 7: taught me a lot of lessons.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: That's why I know how to get over.
- 1:26:10Speaker 7: I know how I can survive through hard times because
- 1:26:13Speaker 7: I've been in them and I've and like man, people
- 1:26:17Speaker 7: get mad at them and they self in their situation.
- 1:26:19Speaker 7: But man, just master it. Master master how to do
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: because the one thing I have mastered and I'm very
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: proud of myself for doing it. And I was telling
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: this to somebody and they said, man, that sounds crazy.
- 1:26:33Speaker 7: You know what I've done, Junior, I've mastered the art
- 1:26:37Speaker 7: of suffering. I know how to suffer extremely well. And
- 1:26:43Speaker 7: one of my partners was talking to me and he said, MAO,
- 1:26:46Speaker 7: that's crazy. Why would you want to know how to
- 1:26:49Speaker 7: master suffering? I said, because in the event that I
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: have to suffer, which I have had to do many times,
- 1:26:57Speaker 7: I did really well at it. Now I did really
- 1:27:01Speaker 7: well at it because I had a secret weapon, prayer.
- 1:27:07Speaker 7: Prayer has helped me get through all of my difficult times,
- 1:27:13Speaker 7: and it got me to the point where I gave
- 1:27:15Speaker 7: a speech last night and I said, I'm unbeatable. You
- 1:27:20Speaker 7: can't beat me. I don't care what you do. If
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: you talk about me behind my back, I'm gonna keep going.
- 1:27:26Speaker 7: If you knock me down, I'm going to get up.
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: You can damage me, but you can't defeat me. Because
- 1:27:38Speaker 7: of the one thing I've learned about having a relationship
- 1:27:41Speaker 7: with God, I am never ever going to give up.
- 1:27:44Speaker 7: So now what you're gonna do about that? See, eventually
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: you're gonna get tired of kicking me. But I'm never
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: going to give up. So when you're tired of kicking me,
- 1:27:57Speaker 7: I'm still keep it moving. And if I don't take
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: the time to come down off the wall to kick
- 1:28:04Speaker 7: you back, it's better for me because the Bible says,
- 1:28:09Speaker 7: stay on the wall. Stay on the wall when they
- 1:28:14Speaker 7: throwing rocks at you, Stay on the wall when they
- 1:28:18Speaker 7: talking about you behind your back, Stay on the wall.
- 1:28:22Speaker 7: See what happens is man, if you come down off
- 1:28:24Speaker 7: the wall, you not I'll eye level with the enemy.
- 1:28:28Speaker 7: The rocks stay throwing now, they right there, they eye level.
- 1:28:32Speaker 7: If a person is throwing a rock at me and
- 1:28:33Speaker 7: I'm up on the wall, even if it hit me,
- 1:28:36Speaker 7: how bad can it hurt? Because he had to throw up,
- 1:28:41Speaker 7: because that's what haters have to throw from. They have
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: to throw from the bottom. Because I've never had a
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: hater doing better than me.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: Never. And if you think, let me give you an example.
- 1:28:53Speaker 7: If you think you have a hater that's doing better
- 1:28:55Speaker 7: than you, Let's say you have a supervisor on your job,
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: and this supervisor is making your life as miserable as
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: he can and he's just being a hater. Now, I
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: just said You'll never have a hater that's doing better
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: than you. Well, my boss is well, he's not doing
- 1:29:12Speaker 7: better than you. You know why he's hating on you
- 1:29:14Speaker 7: because he see you coming. He sees in you that
- 1:29:18Speaker 7: you have everything it takes to overtake him, that you
- 1:29:23Speaker 7: are probably the next one to have his position. So
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: he'll come to hate. So it ain't that he's better
- 1:29:29Speaker 7: than you. He know you better than him. You'll never
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: have a hater that's doing better than you. Remember that
- 1:29:36Speaker 7: and stay on that wall, man, and recover. It's okay.
- 1:29:41Speaker 7: You're going to be fine. You just got to keep
- 1:29:45Speaker 7: it moving. Man, y'all, for those of you listening, don't
- 1:29:51Speaker 7: ever give up. I don't care how dark it seems
- 1:29:54Speaker 7: for you. I don't care what the news is. I
- 1:29:57Speaker 7: don't care what results have come in, don't care what
- 1:30:00Speaker 7: statistics say. Don't you ever give up. Back in the eighties, man,
- 1:30:08Speaker 7: there was a sign that said one in every twenty
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: thousand comedians will make it to the Tonight Show. I
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: saw that in a comedy club. So every night before
- 1:30:19Speaker 7: I went on, man, and I kid you not, I
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: used to harm the Tonight Show thing. I would harm
- 1:30:28Speaker 7: that every night before I went on and somebody heard
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: me doing it. One time. I was outside in the
- 1:30:32Speaker 7: parking like, getting ready for a show. They said, hey, man,
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: well you humming the Tonight Show thing. I said, yeah, man,
- 1:30:37Speaker 7: He said why. I said, because there's a sign that
- 1:30:39Speaker 7: says one in every twenty thousand comedians will make it
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: to the Night Show. He said, and you think you're
- 1:30:44Speaker 7: gonna be the one? I absolutely think so. He said, Man,
- 1:30:49Speaker 7: that's one in every twenty thousand, just one. I said, okay,
- 1:30:55Speaker 7: then I'll just be that one. I didn't understand. What
- 1:30:59Speaker 7: do you say talking about?
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Now? You know something now?
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: And he said, in order to make it, you had
- 1:31:06Speaker 7: to be on the Tonight Show. I never made it
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: to the Tonight Show until after I was successful and
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: Jay Leno was the host, and I appeared on the
- 1:31:16Speaker 7: Tonight Show. But I had already made it, because you
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: don't know how God work. So in order for you
- 1:31:23Speaker 7: to make it, that was the benchmark back in the day.
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: You had to appear on the Tonight Show. That was
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: the benchmark for all comedians. Man, if I could get
- 1:31:30Speaker 7: on Tonight's show, then it was the let him in show.
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: If I could get on, I've been on all of them.
- 1:31:36Speaker 7: But I got on them after I was successful, because
- 1:31:38Speaker 7: the God I served does exceedingly and abundantly over all.
- 1:31:43Speaker 7: I can think I asked, and I'll never give up
- 1:31:46Speaker 7: on him. So don't give up on yourself. Those are
- 1:31:48Speaker 7: my clothes and remarks today. Have yourself a good one today.
- 1:31:52Speaker 7: Talk to God today. He would love to hear fun
- 1:31:55Speaker 7: I did that in the voice of Scarfacks.
