- 0:00Speaker 1: My next guess. It's a planner. He's a guy who
- 0:04Speaker 1: don't allow setbacks to hold him back. When he see opportunity,
- 0:09Speaker 1: he leaps forward. My next beck guest is a Billboard
- 0:13Speaker 1: number one selling singer songwriter recording artists from Dallas, Texas.
- 0:18Speaker 1: See I'm from Houston, Texas, so I know Dallas two
- 0:20Speaker 1: and forty marls of forty five North. So I've been
- 0:24Speaker 1: up that fact about my first Mercedes Bins in Dallas.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Text drove it that seven the Dallas Neighbors has performed
- 0:31Speaker 1: on the smash INBC series. The Voice has recorded six
- 0:35Speaker 1: acclaimed studio albums and a Christmas collection released on the
- 0:40Speaker 1: Acclaim in an acclaimed book, starting two films, headline of
- 0:44Speaker 1: concert and conference tours all over the world. Please welcome
- 0:47Speaker 1: to Money Making Conversations. My man from Dallas, Texas. Anthony Evans. Hey,
- 0:55Speaker 1: I'm just hyped. Man. I'm just hyped because you know,
- 0:58Speaker 1: we've been trying to connect and we finally connect acted
- 1:00Speaker 1: on this interview today because I wanted to bring your
- 1:02Speaker 1: money making conversation because you know, I'm a type of person.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Every every Tuesday I meet with my my my producers
- 1:10Speaker 1: and they pitch out people. They recommend people who would
- 1:13Speaker 1: be great for the show, who have great stories, and
- 1:15Speaker 1: I just when they told me your story, you know,
- 1:18Speaker 1: I just felt I wanted to hear it from you
- 1:21Speaker 1: and talk about what drives you. That's the one first
- 1:24Speaker 1: question I want to ask you, Anthony, what drives you
- 1:26Speaker 1: to be successful? You know what there are There are
- 1:29Speaker 1: a few things that drive me. The first thing I
- 1:30Speaker 1: think about is being able to excellence. Drives me. Actually
- 1:34Speaker 1: being able to find them a way to another way,
- 1:38Speaker 1: avenues to be excellent. That that drives me at what
- 1:41Speaker 1: I do when it comes to being on the stage
- 1:43Speaker 1: and off the stage, but when it comes to planning
- 1:45Speaker 1: tours and events. But also what drives me is is
- 1:48Speaker 1: feeling like I'm actually fulfilling what I was born to do,
- 1:51Speaker 1: what I was calling to do. That is a driving
- 1:54Speaker 1: force to me so excellent. And then being in the
- 1:56Speaker 1: center of what I know I'm supposed to be doing
- 1:59Speaker 1: um and not settling that that those are those are
- 2:01Speaker 1: the driving fractors for me. And then so when somebody
- 2:05Speaker 1: tells you, I would tell you about me, a little
- 2:07Speaker 1: bit about me, you know, like my degrees in mathematics
- 2:11Speaker 1: and so I was just in college I was doing
- 2:13Speaker 1: stand up comic at night, stand up comedy at night.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And so, you know, people just like telling you know
- 2:18Speaker 1: you're not gonna be a Eddy Murphy. You know, people
- 2:20Speaker 1: really tell you, but your friends and your family can
- 2:22Speaker 1: actually hold you back. I'm just let you know that, right,
- 2:26Speaker 1: the people you understand, people who are so close to you,
- 2:30Speaker 1: can actually be the people put the nail in it.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Are you wasting your time? You're wasting your time and
- 2:35Speaker 1: so so and so when I left IBM to do
- 2:38Speaker 1: stand up comedy, they really thought I was crazy. And
- 2:41Speaker 1: so so when I when I look at you, and
- 2:44Speaker 1: because you know you you're now living in the Los
- 2:47Speaker 1: Angeles areas, so you're you're transplant. So how did you
- 2:51Speaker 1: undercome overcome people telling you what you couldn't do versus
- 2:55Speaker 1: achieving what you are achieving? Well, I had a very
- 2:59Speaker 1: great for my family, but my they has always been
- 3:03Speaker 1: very supportive of me. Before I even knew what my
- 3:05Speaker 1: ability was and what I was going to actually end
- 3:07Speaker 1: up doing, my parents splotted it in me first. Before
- 3:10Speaker 1: I actually too knew that I had sang the way
- 3:13Speaker 1: that I sing or knew that I had the ability
- 3:14Speaker 1: and music, they spotted it and then they started to
- 3:17Speaker 1: They started to cultivate that before I was even wanting
- 3:20Speaker 1: to do it. So I'm very grateful and uh for that.
- 3:23Speaker 1: But then I also watched my dad, who was from
- 3:25Speaker 1: both both my parents. My mom is from South America,
- 3:28Speaker 1: my dad is from the inner City of Baltimore, and
- 3:30Speaker 1: stats would say that they aren't supposed to be who
- 3:33Speaker 1: they are now. But I watched them not operate upon
- 3:36Speaker 1: what stats. They were not defined by what the statistics
- 3:39Speaker 1: said they should be, and they would step into situations
- 3:42Speaker 1: where they were the odd man out. They were different,
- 3:44Speaker 1: they were like, where are you from? You know that
- 3:45Speaker 1: those kind of vibes happened because they weren't the traditional
- 3:48Speaker 1: person that was expected to be where they were. But
- 3:51Speaker 1: they walked in there knowing what their ability was and
- 3:54Speaker 1: let everybody's um knowledge of let let everybody figure figure
- 3:57Speaker 1: out what they already knew. They would walk into a
- 3:59Speaker 1: room be like, eventually you'll will figure out that we're
- 4:02Speaker 1: supposed to be here, but until then, we're gonna stay here.
- 4:04Speaker 1: We're not gonna leave because y'all think we're not supposed
- 4:06Speaker 1: to be here. So I watched that my whole life,
- 4:08Speaker 1: and so now it created and there. It created a
- 4:11Speaker 1: driving me where I am from my nature likes to
- 4:15Speaker 1: choose faith over fear, encourage over comfort. That's that's just
- 4:18Speaker 1: because I know on the other side of that there
- 4:19Speaker 1: is something bigger, broader and better waiting for me. When
- 4:22Speaker 1: I choose faith over for your courage over comfort. That
- 4:25Speaker 1: that's how I've gotten too the place I am. It's
- 4:27Speaker 1: because of my family. Now, now you you appeared on
- 4:31Speaker 1: the voice, correct, Yes, yeah, I'm just trying to remember
- 4:34Speaker 1: because I's also I was looking at some photos and
- 4:36Speaker 1: I was and you know, I'm one of those surfers.
- 4:39Speaker 1: You know, I look at television and I just go
- 4:41Speaker 1: from chownel to chown And now that did you sing
- 4:44Speaker 1: a mom and gay song on the Voice? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I wasn't into that song. I wasn't in that that
- 4:51Speaker 1: prin I love Game, but I wasn't you known you
- 4:56Speaker 1: threw down Anthony. People have told me I looks like
- 5:00Speaker 1: Martha Game. So I'm a marth and gay faint know
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'm saying, I'm just gonna let you know that you
- 5:03Speaker 1: put you put me in the right angle, put me
- 5:05Speaker 1: into the right darkness. I'm Marvin Gay. Oh day alone
- 5:11Speaker 1: and so and when you did that, Marvin, I said, wow, wow,
- 5:15Speaker 1: because you're a certain artists you just can't do. And
- 5:17Speaker 1: I remember. I remember because because because at the time,
- 5:21Speaker 1: Aguilara was still one of the judges. Correct, Yeah she
- 5:25Speaker 1: she was. She was my coach on the show. Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I don't know who you I wouldn't do so hey,
- 5:28Speaker 1: hey that might You might not have felt it, but
- 5:30Speaker 1: you hit it though, Okay, thank you. Which it's hard
- 5:34Speaker 1: to feel that scenario in general, where you a quiet
- 5:37Speaker 1: room and four backs, you know what I mean, face
- 5:39Speaker 1: you when you're sing like you're trying to get people
- 5:41Speaker 1: to turn around. It's just a weird feeling. If I
- 5:43Speaker 1: come from the church, I come from church world, So like,
- 5:46Speaker 1: what's going on? Right right? I understand what you're saying
- 5:49Speaker 1: because you used to people giving it. It's being inspired
- 5:51Speaker 1: by your voice, being inspired by your movement, and you're
- 5:54Speaker 1: looking at four tears, You're going okay, okay. And then
- 5:57Speaker 1: then as the song goes along, who it starts eating
- 6:00Speaker 1: on you. Who's gonna turn rap, who's gonna turn around?
- 6:03Speaker 1: They're not gonna do me like this. It's a lot
- 6:05Speaker 1: of emotions to run your head when you actually performing
- 6:07Speaker 1: on the voice because you have to convinced four chairs
- 6:09Speaker 1: to turn around, and as you say and then turn around,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you go okay, really on National TV, really and normally
- 6:16Speaker 1: you convinced them, you convinced people to turn around normally
- 6:19Speaker 1: with intensity and kind of going off and doing the most.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But Marvin gay didn't do that. So I was like,
- 6:23Speaker 1: I was choosing in my head to honor Marvin Gaye
- 6:26Speaker 1: and sing the song the way he would, which is chilled.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But but the way you got those chairs to turn
- 6:30Speaker 1: around was by doing the most, And so I was
- 6:33Speaker 1: conflicted in my head because it's just a weird it's
- 6:36Speaker 1: just a weird feeling to try to and you know,
- 6:38Speaker 1: he is the antithesis of doing the most. He just
- 6:41Speaker 1: was him and everybody loved him, you know what I mean.
- 6:44Speaker 1: So I was trying to figure it out anyway. I
- 6:47Speaker 1: want to let you know, I know of your abilities
- 6:50Speaker 1: from that time frame. Now, prior to that, you had
- 6:53Speaker 1: already dropped an album, correct, Yeah, I actually had three.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I had three albums out before the Voice. So that's
- 7:00Speaker 1: why it was weird going to the show because people
- 7:02Speaker 1: were like, you already have a career, you're doing that,
- 7:04Speaker 1: and that that goes back to what I was saying
- 7:05Speaker 1: in minutes ago, which is choosing courage over comfort and faith.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I could have been comfortable and just stayed where I was,
- 7:10Speaker 1: but this was an opportunity to do something broad. I
- 7:13Speaker 1: knew people would have stuff to say, like what are
- 7:14Speaker 1: you doing on a complet like why would you do?
- 7:16Speaker 1: You know, people talk, but if you ask forward to
- 7:19Speaker 1: what's going on in my life because of that show
- 7:22Speaker 1: and the people in that nineties seconds during a battle round,
- 7:25Speaker 1: I say, in front of fifteen million people at that point,
- 7:27Speaker 1: that's how many people were watching the show. And what
- 7:29Speaker 1: happened after the show because I chose to be to
- 7:32Speaker 1: move to to push through that moment of like why
- 7:34Speaker 1: should I be here or not? Has been amazing. Stuff
- 7:37Speaker 1: has happened off camera that no, y'all wouldn't know about
- 7:39Speaker 1: unless I told you, But it's it's major, major that's
- 7:43Speaker 1: happened to people have been in that. That's why I
- 7:45Speaker 1: was just talking about earlier. People will tell you and
- 7:48Speaker 1: you have to go through. You can just say the
- 7:50Speaker 1: word faith or you can go your own belief, whatever
- 7:52Speaker 1: term you want to do. You have to believe in
- 7:53Speaker 1: yourself because I always tell people, if you're gonna fail.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Fail being you, don't fail being something in some want
- 8:00Speaker 1: want you to be failed being you. That way you
- 8:03Speaker 1: can recover. You can get up being you. You can
- 8:05Speaker 1: get up knowing if you knew why you failed because
- 8:07Speaker 1: of something you did, or you did it for somebody else,
- 8:09Speaker 1: a character or a song, and then you can't recover
- 8:12Speaker 1: from that because you confuse now and so you said,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you know, forget out, I know I got three albums
- 8:17Speaker 1: out there. I'm gonna do the voice because I recognize
- 8:20Speaker 1: this as a jump store, right, And you know what,
- 8:23Speaker 1: another thing that I would just say is that you
- 8:25Speaker 1: also cannot recover from succeeding by not being you, because
- 8:29Speaker 1: what happens is when you are quote unquote successful in
- 8:32Speaker 1: the way we define it, but you were doing it
- 8:34Speaker 1: not being yourself, and you have a hit song get
- 8:36Speaker 1: to sing for the rest of your life that you
- 8:37Speaker 1: don't even like, but you did it to be popular.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Then you will always feel you will always feel that conflict.
- 8:43Speaker 1: And now you gotta sing the song because everybody wants
- 8:45Speaker 1: to everybody wants to hear that from you. And so
- 8:47Speaker 1: whatever fields you are in, if you're disingenuous to you
- 8:50Speaker 1: and you end up with a you know, a bankful
- 8:52Speaker 1: of money, which is great. You cannot go right a
- 8:55Speaker 1: check for peace because you weren't being yourself to get there,
- 8:58Speaker 1: My man, by a great interview. We're gonna be back
- 9:01Speaker 1: with more of my man. Anthony Evans from Dallas, Texas.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I just with Sean McDonald. You know when you get
- 9:08Speaker 1: a guest on the phone, man, and the reason I
- 9:10Speaker 1: like my next guest that I'm talking to you right
- 9:12Speaker 1: now to just say my next guest, my guest I'm
- 9:14Speaker 1: currently talking to. His energy is say the five. You
- 9:19Speaker 1: want somebody at the five, and you at the five
- 9:20Speaker 1: is already at the five. And that it helps me
- 9:23Speaker 1: to understand that he's already he's always ready to go,
- 9:26Speaker 1: he's already to promote, he's already ready to be inspired
- 9:29Speaker 1: to the next opportunity. Now that's we're gonna talk about
- 9:32Speaker 1: this new discussions they knew. Just a production company is
- 9:34Speaker 1: a turnkey production company that offers services for vocalists, uh, staging, lighting,
- 9:40Speaker 1: sound and touring and choreography. That's a lot going on. Yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 1: it is a lot going on here. And you're saying
- 9:49Speaker 1: that right now. It's like literally I'm about to fly
- 9:51Speaker 1: back to l a to go to rehearsal uh for
- 9:53Speaker 1: a day and then try to Berlin to do one
- 9:55Speaker 1: of these shows that that you're mentioning and you're talking about.
- 9:57Speaker 1: But let me take the first place of this. It's
- 10:00Speaker 1: all the way back to the beginning of my career.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I didn't necessarily sit in, but I kept going forward. Now,
- 10:05Speaker 1: when I didn't sit in, I didn't have a team
- 10:07Speaker 1: around me doing everything for me. Like most artists, I
- 10:09Speaker 1: had to figure out how to do it myself. If
- 10:11Speaker 1: I wanted to keep going, I had to figure out
- 10:13Speaker 1: how to do it myself and not rely on people
- 10:15Speaker 1: to do it for me. But fast forward to what
- 10:17Speaker 1: you were just talking about. The reason why I have
- 10:19Speaker 1: this company is because of the years I wasn't being
- 10:22Speaker 1: accepted and I had to learn how to do it myself.
- 10:24Speaker 1: So I used to resent it, and now I understand
- 10:28Speaker 1: the purpose in it. So part of a money making
- 10:30Speaker 1: conversation or a building you conversation is don't resent those
- 10:34Speaker 1: those moments where you don't never successorily feel like you're
- 10:37Speaker 1: you're the thing everybody is about, because there is learning
- 10:39Speaker 1: stuff in there that will help you when you become
- 10:41Speaker 1: the thing that people want. You know, I couldn'tsolutely believe that.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I absolutely I preached that, absolutely tell people that. And
- 10:51Speaker 1: I always tell people every day is not a happy day.
- 10:55Speaker 1: And I promote the fact that I get up at
- 10:56Speaker 1: four or fifteen in the morning every day, you know,
- 10:59Speaker 1: and people go, WHOA. But I also to tell people
- 11:02Speaker 1: I'm not happy when I get up. But that's part
- 11:04Speaker 1: of my plan. If because I have gotten up at six,
- 11:07Speaker 1: seven and and and that throws my whole day off
- 11:10Speaker 1: for some reason, because I missed valuable time. Because when
- 11:13Speaker 1: I get up, it's kind of like it's kind of
- 11:15Speaker 1: like a get up process. I get up at four fifteen.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I staggered around the house a little bit, you know,
- 11:20Speaker 1: I look at my watch. I leaned up against the wall.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I said, I lose all that when I get up
- 11:25Speaker 1: at six. I ain't got I don't have no start time.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna fire you. When I get up at six,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I lost all that lazy time. You know what I'm saying, Anthony.
- 11:32Speaker 1: And so when I hear you talk about what I'm saying,
- 11:35Speaker 1: So when I hear you talk about I'm just a
- 11:38Speaker 1: little side story to compare to your story. It's like
- 11:40Speaker 1: when people ask me why I know so much. When
- 11:43Speaker 1: Steve Harvey I started, there was no staff, there was
- 11:46Speaker 1: no PR team, there were no managers. I was the
- 11:49Speaker 1: booking agent. I was the the PR person. I made
- 11:53Speaker 1: all the power points. You know, I knew I did
- 11:55Speaker 1: the social media, the website. And so when when when
- 11:59Speaker 1: I'm when I'm walking into corporations and are walking into
- 12:02Speaker 1: talking about you know, television, uh, studios, when they talk
- 12:06Speaker 1: to me, always understand branding, Always understand marketing, alla understand
- 12:11Speaker 1: social media. Because I was their first hand. And that's
- 12:14Speaker 1: all you're saying. You've been their first hand and so
- 12:17Speaker 1: so because when it wasn't when it when when you
- 12:19Speaker 1: when you being acknowledged you was developing these skills. Now
- 12:22Speaker 1: you're turning these skills into a turn key company. Yes, yes,
- 12:26Speaker 1: and I think a lot of us and I'll speak
- 12:28Speaker 1: on behalf of me. But I was in a position
- 12:30Speaker 1: where I wanted the media gratification and if and that mindset,
- 12:34Speaker 1: that immediate gratification mindset will stop you sometimes from digging
- 12:38Speaker 1: a deep foundation that ultimately you can build something high on.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Because we don't want to take the time to build
- 12:43Speaker 1: the foundation. We just want the skyscraper. But in order
- 12:45Speaker 1: to have the skyscraper. You have to dig deep. And
- 12:48Speaker 1: in this time of wanting what you you know, a
- 12:51Speaker 1: lot of us millennials in general want stuff real quick,
- 12:55Speaker 1: like we just want you know, the the new generation
- 12:56Speaker 1: want stuff real fast. But that's not necessarily you building
- 12:59Speaker 1: some thing that could stand the test of time and
- 13:01Speaker 1: stand the storm and stand a bunch of people. But
- 13:04Speaker 1: you know, so I really, again, just to reiterate what
- 13:07Speaker 1: we're talking about, that's just a vital part you should consider.
- 13:10Speaker 1: You're you're a Boston training when you're going through the
- 13:12Speaker 1: moment where you're having to do everything for yourself like
- 13:15Speaker 1: you're you're man. I'll tell you, brother, do you you
- 13:19Speaker 1: have the entrepreneurial spirit? Where did you get that from?
- 13:22Speaker 1: Do it? My father? My father? I'm a little bit
- 13:25Speaker 1: about him and his influence in your life. Your father,
- 13:27Speaker 1: my dad's My dad's name is Dr Tony Evans. He
- 13:29Speaker 1: was born in Baltimore, Maryland, uh in in the inner
- 13:33Speaker 1: city of Baltimore, and he just had a drive. He
- 13:35Speaker 1: had people early in his life see something in him
- 13:38Speaker 1: where he wouldn't take no for an answer. My grandfather
- 13:41Speaker 1: makes fun of him now, and he was like he
- 13:42Speaker 1: would get calms from his school because he was always
- 13:44Speaker 1: the kid with his hand up that one of the
- 13:45Speaker 1: answer questions. Every question he was like, I want to answer.
- 13:48Speaker 1: You know, he was that driven, I I want to
- 13:50Speaker 1: know the answers kind of guy. And I just watched
- 13:52Speaker 1: that my whole life and didn't realize that I was
- 13:54Speaker 1: an entrepreneurial training growing up, just because that was just
- 13:57Speaker 1: my dad. If you told him no, he was gonna
- 14:00Speaker 1: figure out another way around it. You know what I
- 14:01Speaker 1: mean to to make that yes? So I just, uh,
- 14:05Speaker 1: I've watched that, and I've been around people, especially in
- 14:09Speaker 1: the new season in my life in Los Angeles. Well,
- 14:12Speaker 1: the mindset is they're they're dreamers. They're big, big thoughts
- 14:16Speaker 1: like status quo is not what they're okay with. And
- 14:19Speaker 1: I love I love that. I love when somebody says
- 14:21Speaker 1: no to me and I can. I love figuring out yes, Anthony,
- 14:28Speaker 1: when you when you go through all this, like we
- 14:30Speaker 1: mentioned the boys, we mentioned the albums everything. What what
- 14:33Speaker 1: is your message? What is your general purpose? I always
- 14:35Speaker 1: tell people that I'm constantly building uh content, so I
- 14:39Speaker 1: can just push down my efforts so people can look
- 14:41Speaker 1: at understand I am. I'm a three sixty brand and
- 14:44Speaker 1: so and so, like you know, I mentioned the voice,
- 14:46Speaker 1: and before the voice you had already dropped three CDs.
- 14:49Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. And you're about to go
- 14:51Speaker 1: on a fall tour with your sister. What is the
- 14:53Speaker 1: what is the plan? You know you got that, you
- 14:55Speaker 1: got the turnkey company. You're reaching masses. You know you
- 14:59Speaker 1: even knew the fact that, hey, when you was on
- 15:01Speaker 1: divorce you were seen by fifteen million. You're very calculated
- 15:04Speaker 1: in your approach and your planner correct, right, yes, because
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm very calculated in my approach, and I can answer
- 15:11Speaker 1: your question on two sides. I'll answer it first from
- 15:14Speaker 1: the business side, UM, because that's obviously what we're here.
- 15:17Speaker 1: We're here to talk about. UM. The business side is
- 15:19Speaker 1: I want to work hard. Basically, I want to work
- 15:22Speaker 1: hard in these years of creating new concepts and ideas
- 15:24Speaker 1: so that I'm diversified. And that's just a basic You
- 15:28Speaker 1: know that, that's just basic. That's relates to money business.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I want to be diversified because I'm also aware of
- 15:33Speaker 1: the fact that in entertainment especially or in I do gospelated,
- 15:38Speaker 1: but in entertainment in general, I have to be aware
- 15:41Speaker 1: that there's always some new talent coming and eventually down
- 15:45Speaker 1: the road, I'll be fifty five years old and there'll
- 15:47Speaker 1: be some other five year old that that is doing.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I don't want you have to go out and sing.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I don't want to feel like, you know, anybody need
- 15:55Speaker 1: me to come sing because I gotta pay the more
- 15:56Speaker 1: I don't that maybe it made me think, what are
- 16:00Speaker 1: other ways I can be intuitive about what um using
- 16:04Speaker 1: branches of disability, not not going way off. And that
- 16:07Speaker 1: was starting the production company. And that's also the vocal
- 16:10Speaker 1: vocal arranging and contracting, which started because of the voice.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Like we didn't talk about that, but I've vocal arranged
- 16:16Speaker 1: and contracted to Kanye and to Chains and Tyler the
- 16:19Speaker 1: creatives last album, Blackish and all these different TVs because
- 16:23Speaker 1: of the chance I took on myself going to the voice.
- 16:25Speaker 1: So it started to diversify me. So the goal on
- 16:28Speaker 1: the business side is to be diversified to what I
- 16:31Speaker 1: don't have to I get to do what I want
- 16:32Speaker 1: to do. I'm doing what I'm living kind of in
- 16:35Speaker 1: a state of um, of of developing that so that
- 16:39Speaker 1: later on I don't have a lot of half to
- 16:41Speaker 1: I can. I can operate from a place of want
- 16:42Speaker 1: to not have to. And then yes, I call that.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I call that multiple streams of income on this show
- 16:50Speaker 1: that you just talked about multiple streams of income, like
- 16:53Speaker 1: you said, Hey, man, when I wake up, if somebody
- 16:55Speaker 1: tell me no, I go, I just go back to sleep.
- 16:58Speaker 1: That's just one, you know. Oh oh that's overweight. Okay, cool, okay, cool,
- 17:02Speaker 1: my wife look at me. You know, I don't stress.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I don't. I'm not. I'm not gonna put myself in
- 17:06Speaker 1: a position where somebody tells one person tells me my my,
- 17:09Speaker 1: my gigs over with, my life's over, my last checks over.
- 17:12Speaker 1: That can't happen with me. I've learned that. I would
- 17:14Speaker 1: learned that, And that's all you're telling that my listeners
- 17:17Speaker 1: in our viewer that exactly exactly. And then the other point,
- 17:20Speaker 1: just real quick I was gonna touch on, is that
- 17:22Speaker 1: my purpose also is not just to be um about
- 17:26Speaker 1: not well. Because I'm a gospel singer, I'm not just
- 17:28Speaker 1: trying to be about the bottom line, which is very important.
- 17:31Speaker 1: But I also want to make sure that the work
- 17:33Speaker 1: I'm doing is resonating in people's hearts and their souls.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And I there's don't be a story to tell above
- 17:39Speaker 1: and beyond money or number one, because those can come
- 17:42Speaker 1: and go. But but what happens in the lives of
- 17:44Speaker 1: the people that you're impacting, whatever fields you're in, it
- 17:46Speaker 1: it happens to be more obvious with because of what
- 17:48Speaker 1: I do. But I think that that the peace and
- 17:51Speaker 1: the emotional health and spiritual health that comes from that
- 17:54Speaker 1: is also has a value. May not be a monetary value,
- 17:58Speaker 1: but there is something to be said about making a
- 18:00Speaker 1: good living and being excited about what's happening in you
- 18:03Speaker 1: and others emotionally and spiritually. I believe it's all tied together.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That's all prosperity to me, that's all being wealthy. To me,
- 18:11Speaker 1: it goes beyond just the bank account. I love this dude.
- 18:15Speaker 1: You're from Dallas, Texas. I'm from Houston, Texas. Uh, I'm
- 18:18Speaker 1: a foodie. I'm a foodie. I got I got nanny
- 18:20Speaker 1: seconds left in this show. Um, I'm gonna just tell
- 18:23Speaker 1: you this. Uh, you know how the best food in
- 18:25Speaker 1: the world is in Houston, Texas. Now, I'm just gonna
- 18:27Speaker 1: let y'all know Dallas Houston, Texas. Like I know you've
- 18:35Speaker 1: been in Houston. Now, what where do you tortilla? Where
- 18:40Speaker 1: we live in Houston. Loopy, he's not lying, looping tort
- 18:45Speaker 1: you get the pitto beans. They listen. I get to everything.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I'm tell something. I would tell my wife I come
- 18:56Speaker 1: home because I live in Houston. I live in Atlanta.
- 18:58Speaker 1: She said, what you want to say, Let's go loope
- 19:00Speaker 1: because they say breakfast. They say breakfast. You know I'm
- 19:03Speaker 1: telling the true and I'm telling something. Those beads with
- 19:07Speaker 1: what they look through the chip? Oh lord, that's where
- 19:12Speaker 1: it starts to me. They got so much going on
- 19:14Speaker 1: in there. So yes, I I actually had my account
- 19:17Speaker 1: on one time called me and go, what is this
- 19:18Speaker 1: loope to a ta place? You need to slow it
- 19:19Speaker 1: out like that's that's how much you need to star.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Family means it to Rushaw and my wife. I'm going
- 19:26Speaker 1: to town Saturday. I kid you not, I'll be leading
- 19:28Speaker 1: a loope is told to you? Can I go to
- 19:30Speaker 1: the one right on our ten's right around my house.
- 19:32Speaker 1: So Anthony, next time you come to Houston, know that
- 19:36Speaker 1: you eat right around my house. You need to call me.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Boy Okay, perfect, I got listen. I want to hit
- 19:41Speaker 1: you up at two seconds, all right, but man, you
- 19:43Speaker 1: stay strong. I love you brother. You keep winning and
- 19:45Speaker 1: always know this is family. Come to me. We need
- 19:48Speaker 1: to promote something. Okay, thank you, Thank you for your time.
